Hi! I was wondering how would GOM + Takao react to their s/o having mood swings during their period like one moment their s/o is normal and the next they are angry because their ice cream isn't cold enough to eat and it's melting and they put it in freezer and when they try to eat the ice cream again it's too cold to eat and their gums hurt. Sorry if it's confusing..
Hi anon ! No worries, I think I understood the assignment (hopefully), and I symparthise with you deeply. Period mood swings are the worst :< These kinda ended up being general period comfort hcs, hope that's ok too ! Anyway, here's some comfort with the boys <33
GoM + Takao x afab reader on their period
Aomine
When he sees how annoyed you get over your ice cream being half melted, he's a little taken aback. If you guys haven't been together for very long, he'd probably tell you to calm down or be confused. However, if it's been some time, he'll figure it out quickly enough.
Will put the ice cream back in the freezer for you and bring you some hot cocoa and a hot water bottle to help you feel more relaxed and to make the cramps more bearable.
When you take the ice cream out of the freezer again and hurt your gums, he probably tries to comfort you, although he isn't good with words
Instead, he brings you some other snack, like fruits or cake, and lets you snuggle with him.
Initially, he tries to get you to do a light work out with him to make the pain better, even if you aren't particularly athletic
Will definitely massage your uterus area and shoulders to help you relax, as well as stroke and kiss you all over (he's really good at it too)
Might make a joke about how orgasms are the best way to relieve period pains, but if you're in a truly terrible mood, he'll hold his tongue.
Still teases you, though he'll stop and apologize if you seem genuinely upset
Will make sure anyone who gives you grief or makes your mood swings worse regrets it really quickly
doesn't have pads in the bathroom for you but will happily go out to the store and get you anything you need
Still takes baths with you and will wash your hair and massage you in the bathtub- doesn't really give a fuck about the blood
"What size pussy do you have, babe ?"
Kise
When he sees how quickly your mood changes as a result of the ice cream being half melted, he figures it out pretty much right away.
He'll hug you and run his hands down your back, while reassuring you that it's not that serious, and that you can always eat something else. Puts the ice cream back in the freezer and comes up with skincare, makeup, candles, magazines... all the essentials for a self care night ! (If you ask nicely, he'l even let you do his makeup- he secretly loves it)
Lets you choose what show to watch and chats with you about anything and everything as you have your self care night with the show in the background
When you get the ice cream from the freezer again and your gums start to hurt, he'll kiss you better
Also strikes me as the kinda guy who would keep pads/tampons in his bathroom for you
Akashi
This man can pretty much sense when you're on your period, it's actually kinda unsettling
Anyway, as soon as he realizes you're having a bad day with your mood swings, he'll start treating you like royalty (even more so than normal)
Suggests that you eat something else and comes back with some warm noodles
He gives you massages all over- thighs, back, shoulders... all while reassuring you that you'll figure everything out, that it just seems like a massive deal now
Promises you that you can take one of his eyes if he ends up being wrong (yea this man is really something else)
Will bring you candles/flowers and just snuggle with you quietly as you rest
Happily listens to you vent if you feel the need to
Will be happy to help with any schoolwork you have due
Will personally see to it that anyone who tries bother you is too scared to talk to you ever again.
Like Kise, he also keeps pads in the bathroom for you
Murasakibara
Doesn't realize you're on your period until your cramps and mood swings get really bad
He's not particularly good at comforting you when you're in a bad mood, but he'll carry you upstairs to his bed and snuggle with you. He'll even get out of bed to get you a hot water bottle and some hot chocolate
Gives you one of his hoodies to sleep in. It's way too big for you and he thinks you look adorable in it
Stays and snuggles with you until you feel better (you end up falling asleep with your head on his chest and your limbs intertwined)
When you wake up, he'll bring some snacks from his personal stock and share them with you
Is too lazy to go to the store to buy you pads/tampons, so he'll just call Himuro and ask him to do it
Like Akashi and Aomine, he won't take kindly to people upsetting you, especially when you're on your period.
Kuroko
He's oblivious- he understands you're in a bad mood, and wants to help, but you have to spell it out for him before he realizes that you're on your period.
He's a little shy and awkward, partially because he isn't sure about what he should do, but he very much wants to make it better
Definitely asks Kagami and the Seirin guys for advice and they all look at him like wtf
Will listen to you rant for hours on end, and will be more than happy to comfort you and give you advice
Anything you ask him to do, he does- buy pads, make you dinner, put a specific programme on the TV... he's doing it as soon as you say the word
Also very happy to massage your shoulders and uterus, even tough he isn't really sure about how to do it
Will be very careful about how he talks to you and conducts himself- he doesn't accidentally want to make it worse
Literally your number one fan if you start to doubt yourself, he's so sweet
"You always look stunning, Y/N,"
Won't snuggle with you unless you ask for it because he doesn't want to invade your personal space too much (he's such a gentleman)
Midorima
God help you
He's really really awkward about it
Figures it out relatively quickly from your mood swings but pretends he doesn't because he has no clue how to act
Like Kuroko, he's really careful about how he behaves around you because he wants to avoid pissing you off
Will try to be patient and listen to you rant nonsensically- if he knows you're having a bad day, he'll do his best to comfort you, although he's mostly the kinda guy who tries to find rational solutions to problems instead of telling you what you want to hear
Reads your zodiac chart every day and gives you advice based off of it. Also brings you a lucky item of your own if you're really feeling down (at least he tried)
However, if someone tries to mess with you, his energy completely changes and he'll make sure they don't do it again
Will buy you pads/tampons, though he'll be really awkward about it
Takao
At first he just thought you were in a bad mood, then he suddenly realised that you were probably on your period
Teases you a lot less to avoid hurting your feelings
Like Aomine, he'll probably make a joke about how orgasms are the best way to cure period cramps, but he'll shut up if you tell him to
Comforts you for hours on end wen you're down - he couldn't live with himself if he knew you were sad and he wasn't there to support you
Laughter is a medically proven medicine
Will tell you jokes and funny stories to take your mind off of the mental (and physical) pain
Also spams you with memes and tiktoks
Very happy to take it easy and just cuddle in bed while watching shitty TV
Will go to the store and buy you pads/tampons without an ounce of hesitation

Hii I'm the one who ask for the fluffy stuff with Akashi and Aomine ! Sorry I wasn't clear enough, my bad (and thanks for your oh-so adorable answer). They're separated, like each of them has his girlfriend ! No poly. Hope it's okay for ya
1st ask: Hi there! <3 So glad to discover a new knb blog haha. Can I have some fluffy time with Aomine & Akashi with their gf ? Like...dunno, take cares because their gf is exhausting because of school project... Ah it's up to you ! :D (sorry if my english isn't perfect i'm not native haha)
Tumblr media
A/N: Hello! (´。• ω •。`) Thanks for clearing that up, I apologize for the long and unannounced hiatus on this blog (/// ̄ ̄///) I hope you like it! There is a general prologue and then it branches out into their separate ways. The parts for Aomine and Akashi will be separated and indicated (I hope that makes sense...). There is no warnings for this one! Just a lot of fluff! And academic suffering I guess.... This felt very real to write actually (メ﹏メ) Aomine's is also a bit flirty because that's what felt most right for him, I hope you don't mind! Enjoy! ~Admin JS

The day dragged on like flies on caramel, the syrupy smothness nauseating and entrapping, leaving you feeling in the emenency of drowning in the slow and sweet density of hours that refused to pass. If not for the pressing matters at hand, you would have given up on trying to work straight through this neverending day long ago, but with the deadline of this project fast approaching and your role in the group being scripting the entirety of the presentation, you decided to seclude yourself in the library in hopes of finishing off the base on which everyone will work out their own parts.
Your group of peers were as involved in the planning of the project as rats are involved in the admnistration of a professional kitchen — which is to say they intented to take all of the marbles and none of the responsability. You tried to resent them, but there was already enough on your plate to chisel away your forbearance for you to knowingly create a matter out of this. To put it simply, you rather just be done with it.
You felt the steady beating of your heart in your temples, rhythmic like the drumms that made thousands march into war, a collective percussion of thunder and lighting that, for a split second, even made your vision lose focus. You'd definetly be needing something for that headache later.
You use your tired hands to rub your face, trying to wipe away the exhaustion brought on by overworking yourself beyond the typical studying hours; ambition and sacrifice always walk hand-in-hand and you, aspiring and young student, seems somehow forever stuck in the liminal space between the two. You get your phone to check the time and catch a glimpse of your reflection on the sleek glass screen; your last year, and all of which that came with it, was visibly taking it's toll on you.
Checking the time, you knew the library would close soon. Only a few — those who were desperate in long and strenuous study sessions and the reckless, like yourself, who worked with little to no regard for their personal well being and health — remained in scattered tables full of their personal choices of research medias. You tried an experimental stretch and decided, as soon as you heard the painful cry for help coming from your spine in form of a loud and obnoxious "crack", that it was time to call it a day and give some rest to the tissues that held your existence together. It wasn't like the topics of your research were still making sense anyway; you'd get nowhere with this considering your current state of fatigue.
You had slowly started gathering your things, packing in no rush at all and even stopping at some point to just contemplate your aliveness and feel your own breathing, when you heard a familiar voice coming from behind you:
"I had a feeling I'd find you here."
Tumblr media
Akashi Seijūrō
You turn in your chair and are greeted by Akashi's cordial smile, polished and sweet and elegant and everything that brings immediate peace to your mind. "Ah, Akashi-san!" you exclame no louder than a whisper, your expression surprised and joyful like a child's. You keep the cordiality out of habit, muscle memory from the majority of the time when your relationship must be kept out of prying eyes, despite the fact you are mostly alone on this part of the library.
The rumors circling the Akashi family heir are already too much without any real fuel to them, and the redhead prefered to retain at least this part of his life a private matter. To you, it was just as good. Remaing under the radar and avoiding all that came with being a known face in a school like Rakuzan was an awfuly difficult asset to obtain.
"You've forgotten, haven't you?" he asks, pulling the chair besides yours to sit down. There is no real bite to his words regardless of the contents of his phrase. You scour the corners of your drained mind to try and remmember if you had any plans programmed with him for today. When you do recall, you cover your mouth with yours hands, completely stunned.
"I'm so sorry, Akashi-san. Really. Time got away from me. I just wanted to get as most as possible done today and ended up forgetting we were meeting up..." you set your expression into a apologetic one, regretful of the choice you made when you decided to keep on going after-hours. You simply did not remmember your plans to meet up and go home together. "I've held you up so long as well..." you make an exasperated noise, lowering your head on your arms on the table "Ahhhh, I'm so sorry!"
"That's alright. You were imersed on your work. That's very respectable, _______. Besides, I was also finishing some pendencies from the council, so you haven't held me up at all." he touches your back and awaits expectantly for you to look up at him. When you do look up, kepping your face still half concealed by your arms, you notice how his smile is warm and affectionate as he moves his hand up to you hair to pet it, amusement so obvious in his expression that his eyes are almost closed. You feel your cheeks heating up at that, flushed by the carefree display of affection in a place so public. "I just wanted to know if our plans are still standing."
You have heard how some of the students on the corridors sometimes refer to him as Prince, or even as Emperor, and although most of the time those aliases seem to you just immature and vain and too constricting to define Akashi's personality, there are times when you can't help but think you've gotten yourself a prince charming straight out of a fairy tale.
One of thoses moments is when he's playing. In court, he's as capable and mighty and commanding as the most remarkable of the emperors of times long past and, even with the sudden change you felt in him on his first year after the Winter Cup's loss, his imposing excellence remained as a second skin to him. It was mesmerizing, watching him play, you pictured him as sublime as a force of nature — equal parts wonderful and frightening in a way that made it impossible to look away.
Another one of thoses times was when you see him smiling at you like that, with the set of his shoulders spelling nobility and poise, his eyes glinting with something candid and honeyed and when his actions suggested all of the devotion he felt for you. You love him, dearly, and you find reprieve in the fact that the feeling is mutual. You raise your head, moving your chair closer to his.
"O-of course!" you stutter "That's it... If you still want to..." you speak slowly, as if testing the waters; a pointless disquiet tainting your voice. You hear his hushed laughter and there's sparks flying in your heart and butterflies in your stomach as if his laugh is the sound angles make when they sing in devoted content. He finds you endearing, and it becomes obvious by the way he relaxes into a more youthful posture and behavior when by your side. You love seeing him in the council meetings, and training in court, with his posture firm and impressiv; but nothing brings you more joy than watching him slip into the adolescent boy he is when there is no invisible expectation to fullfill and drive him to perfection.
"Of course I want to." he answers, lowering his elbow to the table and using it to prop his head on his hand, finding a better position to look at you from. "I know we were just going home, but I think we deserve a treat after this much work. What do you say? Are you hungry?"
Your first instinct stil is to let your humbleness win you over, even after so much time with him. You know he doesn't mind taking you in fun — and, most times, expensive — outings; in fact, he has told you more than once how he loves to spoil you rotten. Even so, you bite your lip in reticence and inhibition before answering in the way of propriety that you family raised you to:
"Wouldn't it be a problem for you? I don't want to be a bother." you ask. He sighs, almost unaudibly, and holds on of your hands in his.
"Certainly not. You could never be a bother to me, ______." he is final in his response; you are sure you can the sound os a gavel ringing distantly. After this, his face softens with love and hope "What do you feel like eating?" he presses you for an answer just with the look on his eyes that, besides being gentle and patient, is also demanding. You smile shyly, feeling your body's response to the prospect of food. And good food, considering the places Akashi has taken you before. You hope he can't hear the growl coming from your stomach.
"How about some guioza?" you propose.
"Sounds great. I know just the place." he smiles, standing up and offering his hand to you. After you have also stood up, he takes you backpack with him; you try to stop him, but he's having none of that. "Come on, I believe the driver is already waiting for us by the gate." you walk with him, watching with fondness as he passes by the librarian and greets her. She seems almost as warmhearted as you. You try to take back you belongings, only for him to switch the arm he is using to carry it with until he frustrates all of your tries.
He holds the door open for you to pass in a real gentleman manner, smiling as you timidly cross the open passage. After you gone through, he goes after you, calling your name. That gives you a pause, turning on your heel to stare at him expectanly.
"When we are alone, it would please me greatly if you called me just Seijūrō."
You let your jubilance seep through your face in the form of a juvenile smile, finding unmatched gratification in noticing that he mirrors your expression; there he is, your Seijūrō. The version of himself he shows only to you. His words are like an echo of a conversation from long ago, when he first requested you this. Your heart skips a beat just like that first time.
"It would make me very happy to do that as well, Seijūrō."
You let him take your hand as you walk to the car, happy and warm and full of young love.

Aomine Daiki
You felt the soft warmth of hands on your tensed and weary shoulders and stretched your neck to look up at the source of that dark and sweet voice, rolling like molasses off Aomine's tongue and reminding you that the reason for every sugar rush you ever had since you met him was this saccharine tone.
You made a small murmured sound of greeting and composed your face into a more recptive expression, letting your youthful joy transpire into your features and allowing your lips to form a spent smile that revealed not only the whites of your teeth to the blue-haired boy but also your contentment with his presence.
"Oh, hm... Hi, Daiki. I was just finishing up." You whisper to him while you try to rub away the fatigue off of your eyes when his airy laugh fills the silence sorrounding both of you as he sits down on the chair opposite of yours, not even trying to keep his tone down. This granted some stares from tables closer to yours, but you dind't noticed; the gravity of his presence was so jarring that you could do nothing besides let yourself be pulled to orbit around him.
"They really didn't come to help you out at all, did they?" he shakes his head, clicking his tongue on his front teeth, incredulous when you purse your lips and shrug, responding with a neagative "hm-hm". "You should just take their names out of the project and not tell anyone. Your doing all the work anyway, so is only fair." He muses, unimpressed, like it's only logical.
"That's cruel, even for you." you laugh, gathering the rest of your belongings and packing everything up nicely enough. "You know I can't do that. Besides, I much prefer it this way. I can do everything how I so please and they don't get to question it. They only get to say 'Thank you, _______, you'd saved us so much time' and at least try not screw up the presentation. Y'know?" Aomine gives you an impressed whistle and rests his elbows on the table between you.
"That's bossy." he reaches in your direction and tucks a stray strand of hair behind your ear, his warm and calloused hand soft against the skin of your cheek, staring into your eyes like he just found one of the wonders of the world shining in them, showing you the most handsome, most desarming, most youthful and playful smile he has in store. "I love it."
You can feel your blush creeping up your face in the direction of you ears, like fire burning up a hill. Your heart if so full of delight in that moment, being the sole object to that gaze. Aomine stares at you like you are the most precious rarity he has ever had the honor to look upon and the verity that blooms in the bright of his dark blue eyes never fails to make you feel exactly like treasure. You're caught so off guard you don't now how to respond, but that is not a problem considering that Aomine continues talking to you.
"You know, I was alredy planning on taking you out to eat or something today, but I guess I'll have to take you to that new place you been nagging me about. You deserve it after all of this.work" your eyes roll at that, but you had, in fact, been talking a lot about that new ramen place that opened just down the school street. However, his intonation surprises you, the choice of placement for the emphasis seemingly strange, and your confusion must be clear in the furrow of your brow because he explains: "Since you seem so tired and all... I think your not well enough to walk all the way there."
You open you mouth to protest, yet more confused than you were before, your frown even deeper. When Aomine stands, faster than what should be possible for someone as tall and broad as him, comprehennsion starts to dawn on you like the first lights of the day. Your slow and tired brain cannot bring you to react fast enough and, when you finally realize, he is alredy scooping you up into his arms along with all of your belongings.
"Daiki!" you protest, trying your best to keep your school skirt in place while on his firm hold and also trying to stop you backpack and folders from falling to the gound. You pass by the librarian in record speed right as she notices the ruckus your sappy boyfriend is causing in this place of knowledge. Most of the other worn-out students don't even have time to react to him as you pass them, you don't even notice how some girls stare in envious amazement. You turn to stare at Aomine's face and scold him but lose the courage as soon as you notice his expression, shinning eyes and big childish smile composing his features into something you cheerish more than anything else in this world.
It's insanely captivating, this bright expression of his, — which is something you have alredy said to him, albeit his desbelief in it — and before you even realize your expression starts mirroing his. You feel silly, and happy and warm and the long day of work seems like a speck of a faraway memory by the time he has ran with you out of the school library.

Basic Instinct (Akashi X F!Reader)
A/N: My Akashi drabble! I think. I never do word count so I never know if it’s actually too long or not... Warning: mentions of parentification, toxic parents, mentions of neglect and mental illness. I’m using some of my own experiences growing up with a mentally unstable mother, so the reader is female coded due to it.  Don’t worry, my Takao headcanon will be out soon! Masterpost Seijuro Akashi had not expected to be feel so exhausted after losing for the first time. His pleasure in basketball had returned to him, as well as his original personality, but it seemed like everything else was collapsing. His father was understandably pissed for having lost the Winter Cup and had doubled the extra tutoring he was given. Aside for the usual likes of eating, taking a shower, going to bed, he did nothing for himself. He didn’t even had time to sit down to read a book in the weekends anymore. But amidst the crumbling of his world, there seemed to be one person that noticed just how hard he was struggling to breathe. You. His other personality had dismissed you as nothing but an annoyance and as someone wasting their future, as you clearly were an intelligent student considering you never failed a class despite skipping often. Vivacious, playful and bright, everyone tended to dismiss your behavior. It was like you had everyone wrapped around your little finger. But after you had started annoyingly keeping an eye on him, he did some of his own. As in digging. It hadn’t been difficult to find your mother’s diagnosis. It had been easy to find a neighbor willing to admit that they spotted you bringing home your mom, who always seemed very drunk whenever the two of you had a family gathering, that your mother often seemed to behave like she was your younger sister instead of your mother and that they’d often heard the two of you fighting.  Even easier to watch you every day, and to notice the little things like the occasional reluctant tremble of your lip whenever school was over, like you did not wish to go home. His other self had grown uncomfortable under your gaze, like you could see into his soul. Something he certainly hadn’t given you the permission for. His original self, on the other hand, whilst still a tiny bit terrified, was mostly relieved at your knowing (e/c) eyes always looking out for him.
Two souls who didn’t had much of a childhood. Two souls forced to grow up early. Two souls carrying a burden they shouldn’t bear. Two souls who handled it with surprising grace and maturity. Two souls who had found each other. Akashi decided to approach you after school, one time when training was cancelled because of the flu going on and half of the team and their coach being sick. He wanted to open up to you, get to know the girl who smiled like the sun in spite of her heavy heart.  Seeing you during lunch break had basically convinced him to do it.  You had been talking to the girl in the seat next to him.  “But, don’t forget Mari-Chan, if Yamazaki does turn out to be cheating, I’ll sell my soul to the devil to have him killed and burn in hell for all eternity.” You swore, with a deadpan look that made your friend giggle. You flashed her a cheeky grin, because there was one thing you very much liked doing; making your friends smile. Brightening their moods.  That was why you were a friend he’d like to have. Your consistent lively, almost cheery attitude that held so much caring intent behind it, was infectious. He surprisingly found himself in need of it.  You were just about to put in your headphones, a heavy sigh leaving your lips until you noticed his approaching figure. “Akashi-san,” you greeted politely, and he smiled at you. “I noticed you didn’t ate that much at lunch today. How about I take you to Maji burger?” He asked, knowing the Maji Burger in Kyoto was on your way home. You eyed him suspiciously, and he admitted, it might have been a bit too much for a first conversation, but he didn’t like the idea your mother wasn’t ensuring you ate enough. “Fine, but you better not pull something on me.”  You noticed Akashi seemed a bit nervous at Maji Burger, so you asked him what was up. “If I am to be honest, I should be home by now and following my extra classes.” He admitted, and exhaled deeply as he decided to be honest with you. After all, he knew more about your homelife then you did with his. If he was going to be your friend, he should play open cards, he reasoned.  Instantly, your casual demeanor changed, becoming serious at the drop of a hat. “Akashi, you’re at the top of our class. You’re student council president, captain and pretty much the most competent person in our entire school despite you being a First Year. You don’t need extra classes,” your voice was kind but stern, “What you need, is to relax. To let yourself have fun, even if it means slacking. Otherwise you will never have a great life.”  “Do you seriously think being a slacker will bring you a great life?” Akashi asked, a brow raised at the notorious slacker. “Not slacking per se,” you retorted. “It’s about giving yourself some air and perhaps a laugh or two when you need it. Aristotle says a great life has known both great sadness and great joy. It’s about knowing both and the balance within it, kinda similar to Taoism in that aspect. It’s my life’s philosophy, and I’d rather listen to people who have been praised for millenia throughout history then to your father who most will have forgotten about in two hundred years, no offense.” You responded, and Akashi couldn’t stop one of the corners of his mouth from curling up at your remark. Nobody had ever put his father’s parenting down like that, whilst providing a rather solid argument. Akashi could feel cupid’s arrow passing through his heart as he replied, “None taken. Perhaps you could teach me a thing or two about having a great life.” Your cheeks flushed, but your eyes were glittering with excitement. “I’d be honoured.” Akashi was feeling bold, and as if he could breathe, as he smiled.  Defying his father felt good. Really good.
Together, the two souls will find great joy.

A groan came from their right, causing them to still in place and awkwardly twiddle their thumbs around their phone. Though they hoped that they hadn’t woken Shintarou up, they could tell from the stirring that it was too late to lament that.
“It’s not the brightness,” he mumbled, before they could apologize for their phone’s screen. “Just didn’t feel you close.”
“Aha,” they quietly said, knowing that their lover was referring to the way they usually curled into the warmth of his chest and never let go—something that they haven’t done in over a month, maybe. That was something they ought to remedy now.
Really, it was completely out of their hands. After all, they couldn’t even remember the last time they’d gotten a good night’s sleep while cuddling Shintarou. That was partially owed to the fact that he was too much of an early riser to wait up for them in bed, and was almost always found passed out under the covers before the clock struck 10.
The other reason (that also contributed to the former) was that they simply could never fall asleep so easily anymore. No matter how much they tired themself out, how many glasses of warm milk and chamomile tea they had, how many damned sheep they had to count behind closed eyelids, sleep just never came to them. Only when they’d bored themself halfway to death did their body sometimes give up on resisting the urge, and they woke up a disoriented mess a couple of hours later. Needless to say, it was never enough.
Their growing insomnia seemed to drag along with it a whole bunch of other symptoms that made their overall day-to-day life all the more tiring. Constantly feeling weary, they barely trudged through their daily routines and ran on 2-4 hours of sleep a day, if any at all. They couldn’t pull themself to brush their teeth in the morning without a sigh, nor could they shower without feeling their muscles ache from disuse.
And what probably pained them the most? Their tired, tired heart. There was a certain desolation in every chamber; some sort of numbness they just couldn’t fight back. It threatened to choke them every single time they gasped around its cloaked darkness, and struggled to stay afloat under its influence.
God, how they wished that Shintarou was around more often. To their disappointment (that they tried their utmost to shove below the surface), ever since the new college year had started, his time had been split between spending it studying as hard as it took him to maintain his excellent scores, and at strenuous basketball practices—trainings hard enough to have him barely conscious as he walks through the door at night.
It’s not like he was neglectful. If anything, he was just as (to some, surprisingly) wonderful of a boyfriend as he’d always been, but he just seemed far too drained these days to notice much changes in his partner. He’d greet them with an “I’m home,” before helping himself to a belated lunch that they’d prepared for him. He was an awful cook, so he never offered to help out with that, but he did always contribute to the rest of the household chores despite how exhausted he always was.
Really, Shintarou wasn’t just thoughtful in that subconscious way. Though he still struggled with receiving and doling out the affection he felt deep in his heart in direct ways, he made sure to softly kiss them at least once or twice a day, with that subtle quirk of his lips that they happened to love far more than his rather cocky smirk on the court.
As always, he was ever-so-attentive over meals, tired eyes still trained on his sweetheart as he listened to whatever stories they had to tell, pitching in every now and then with his commentary. And when they turned to him with an encouraging sweet smile of their own, he’d be flushing to his ears and haltingly retelling some events of his own, encouraged by the love he knew awaited him.
So really, it wasn’t his fault that they’d suffocated every terrible thought and feeling in front of him, and that they took advantage of his early sleep schedule to hide their insomnia. But they did feel guilty that he had to find out in such an irritating way like this: abruptly woken up by his partner’s phone screen lit up in his face.
Shintarou didn’t bother to wear his glasses, probably knowing that he wouldn’t last long. He never was the type to stay awake during the night, so he simply resigned himself to leaning over, gently taking their phone and setting it on their bedside table. His body was warm against their back, and they couldn’t help but involuntarily lean into him—something he clearly encouraged, as the distance between them became all that much smaller.
Pressed into his chest like that, they could feel something thawing deep inside of them. Something rock-hard melted in the pit of their stomach, and for some reason it felt a little easier to breathe. They couldn’t stop themself from twisting around and facing him, tired eyes meeting his bleary ones.
He cleared his throat twice, before asking, “Can’t sleep?”
After a few seconds of contemplating their options, they decided that there really was no point in hiding it any longer. They nodded. “Yeah. Haven’t been able to sleep since… I think it was the start of the season.”
A crease formed between his eyebrows as he put two and two together. “That’s been more than a month.”
Shrugging, they just opted to wrapping their arms around him and indulging in his warmth. With careful, steady hands, Shintarou began to finger through their hair. It was a little awkward, given how stiff his approach was, but it was endearing nonetheless. If nothing else, they could feel the love at his fingertips.
It was surprisingly soothing, and almost like magic, they could feel the knots in their muscles come undone. “Tell me what you took in class today.”
He gave them a skeptical look. “Are you sure you want to know about something so boring like that?”
“‘S exactly what I need to fall asleep,” they replied, pausing for a second to press a kiss to his sternum above his sweatshirt. “Besides, nothing’s boring when it comes from you. I could honestly listen to you read an IKEA table instruction manual.”
“Flattery will get you nowhere,” came his muffled reply from above, though they could barely see out of the corner of their eye the faint blue on his cheeks and the half-smile on his face as his hands trailed to their hips. Still, as they knew quite well, he could never refuse any request of theirs.
So, with a resigned sigh and a squeeze to their hips, he pulled them just the tiniest bit closer, close enough so that they could smell his perfume they always said they liked. Already, they could feel their eyelids drooping against their will, driven into a cocoon of comfort and familiar heat that lulled them to an easy sleep in the arms of the man they loved so dearly.
“First class of the day was Chemistry, with an advanced approach to sulfur and its derivatives…”

You don't know me part 2
Daiki Aomine x fem reader
As you looked at Aomine, you couldn't help but notice how much he'd changed in the last years. He was considerably taller and more well built, but his face had also changed, matured. It was enough to trigger a rush of long forgotten and unwelcome feelings from deep inside you.
"Daiki... congratulations on winning," you said, offering him a small smile. He shrugged his shoulders like it was nothing, which, to him it probably was.
"The more I play, the more boring basketball becomes. There are no rivals even close to my level,"
For some reason, listening to that felt like being stabbed in the gut. You took a deep breath and averted your gaze, directing it down your useless arms.
"At least you can still play,"
You'd said it more to yourself than to him, but, judging from the flash of regret on his face, he'd still heard you. He opened his mouth, but you beat him to it.
"Sorry Dai, that was uncalled for. Anyway, how have you been ? It's really been ages," you forced a smile, hoping he'd play along
"I've been bored, and school's been a pain in the ass. What about you ?"
"Not too bad. I'm in the literature club now," you said as you started to walk in the direction of the bus stop. Aomine followed you as if, after three years, it was still the most natural thing in the world.
"The literature club, huh ? You always were a nerd," he teased with a smirk. You simply elbowed him in the ribs.
"Ow- that hurt, asshole," he said, shooting you a glare. You carried on teasing each other and laughing until you reached the bus stop.
"Well, I guess I'll see you around then," you said, smiling as you got on the bus
Something like disappointment flashed on Aomine's features, so quickly you thought you'd imagined it.
"See you around,"
You felt giddy as you walked onto the bus and sat down. Your heart was racing pleasantly, and your cheeks were warm. Seeing Aomine again had awoken feelings within you that you weren't ready to name.
It would be too messy, too painful.
The more you sat there on your own and remembered, the more the fluttering in your stomach faded to a dull ache.
No. The past must stay in the past.
(3 years prior)
That day had been an ordinary day in every regard. It was the semifinals match of the last season of your middle school career. The boys' season had finished two weeks prior, and, as usual, they'd gotten the bigger, better stadiums and a lot more attention from the press. While you tried not to let it bother you too much, you'd still mentioned it to your friends a few days prior.
"Well, of course. Men's sport is significantly more profitable than women's, so it is only logical that most of the resources would go into it," Midorima had replied once you'd finished ranting.
"I don't care. It's still bullshit that women who work just as hard only reap half the reward," you'd stated, glaring at him defiantly.
"Y/N, instead of wasting time talking with this nerd, why don't you come play me ? The winner is the one who deserves the bigger stadium,"
You felt the corners of your lips rise at Daiki's challenge. Without hesitation, you followed him to the court outside, where you spent the next few hours.
That evening was the closest you'd ever come to beating him.
You were thinking of that moment as you got on the court with your four best teammates. As you lined up with them, you promised yourself that you'd play so well that people would be forced to acknowledge women's sports as more than just a footnote.
It had happened during the last quarter. You'd had the other team beaten by 70 or so points, so there was no turning it around for them. However, you refused to relax. You'd play a memorable game from start to finish - this was what you decided as you jumped to dunk the ball into the hoop. Just as you were reaching the peak of your jump, you felt a sharp push from behind you. To this day, you had no idea if it had been deliberate or not.
You fell, landing right on your bent arms and breaking them both. The last thing you felt was a sharp pain from within before you passed out.
When you'd woken up again, you were in a hospital bed. Both of your arms were bandaged, and your head felt fuzzy. You felt something warm on your face and looked up to see Aomine in a chair next to your bed, his hand cupping your cheek. As soon as he realised you were awake, he withdrew it quickly.
"How are you feeling ?" He asked, after a moment of silence
"Dai ? What happened ?"
"You wrecked your arms pretty badly yesterday on the court. They suspended the match, and you were taken to hospital,"
You moved to sit up and felt a sharp jolt run through your arm. You winced, slowly remembering the events of the day before.
"Don't move. If you need something just-"
Before Aomine could finish talking, a doctor came in and smiled at you. It was a sad, almost pitiful smile.
"L/N ? I heard you were awake from outside the door. There are a few things you should know. Before that, though, I must ask your friend to leave,"
"I won't do that," Aomine replied before you could, glaring at the doctor.
"It's ok sir, he's my best friend," you said in a small voice. The doctor frowned.
"Sorry, it's hospital policy. It'll be quick." Aomine sighed and walked out of the door, shooting the doctor one last glare.
"Miss L/N... I'll be blunt with you. Your arms will heal for the most part. There shouldn't be any long-term effects on your daily life. However, to avoid causing permanent damage, you won't be able to play basketball again,"
You stared at the doctor and blinked, unsure if you'd heard correctly. The grave expression on his face confirmed it. In the blinked of an eye, the numbness you'd felt was replaced with a piercing stab through the heart as you fought to hold back tears.
"Doctor, you can't - it's my passion -"
"I'm sorry, Miss L/N. But we just can't risk it unless you want to damage your eyes for good. I appreciate it's hard for you to hear this, so I'll give you a moment."
As the doctor stepped outside, the dam finally broke and you let the tears flow freely. Your career. Your team. Your friends. Everything you'd worked so hard to build was crumbling before your eyes, and you were completely helpless.
When Aomine finally returned, he didn't ask any questions. He just hugged you yo himself and let you cry on his shoulder until visiting hours finished.

This account was set up quite recently; and about a week ago, I'd decided that I'll be more active on here to pass the time, so if there's any fanfic oneshot requests regarding the following fandoms (KnB, Free!, Fruits Basket, Horimiya, sometimes VLD, Sasaki and Miyano, and Hirano and Kagiura), reach out, and I'll do my best to fulfill the request, mainly since my writer's block has been nearly incurable these past couple weeks—😂

Basic Instinct Part 2
AN: Because this is my most popular drabble, and people seem to like my take on Akashi in particular I’m making a part 2. I’m still consdering a parenthood drabble for Kuroko so I’m gonna do it at this point!  Remember, requests are open. I know there is at least 1 person on Tumblr suffering from Akashi brainrot. Feel free to hit me up! I don’t bite.
Warnings: Just like part 1, expect hurt, comfort and angst regarding toxic parents. Masterpost It had been 2 weeks since Akashi ate at the Maji Burger with you. His father had been downright furious, but it strangely enough didn’t matter to him as much as it should. Sure, he felt guilt, but it was as if he had been too high to care.  It reminded him of the time just after his mother had passed. His father had, immediately after the funeral, increasened his studies and put him to work. He had been stuck in the house for days. When he finally had some free time to ride Yukimaru, the sudden exposure to fresh air and oxygen from the outside had made him giddy. He had been giddy as he sat down in his room after his father had reprimanded him. All happy, yet the world felt like spinning, both the negative and positive thoughts were swirling through his head to the point where he felt disoriented. It was a strange feeling. Which is why he had been grounded for the past two weeks, his father’s punishment for letting his friends matter more then his academics. He hadn’t even been allowed to return to Rakuzan for these past two weeks because ‘his friends were a distraction’ and he needed to ‘catch up with his missed studies’. Akashi’s father seemed to hope that taking him away from his friends for 2 weeks would teach him to care about his duties more, but it only had the opposite effect. If anything, Akashi was dying to see you and his teammates. And it seemed all of you were just as eager to see him.  You were standing with the three crownless generals, chatting with them with a warm smile plastered on your face as Reo told you something. He should have known you’d befriend his teammates in his absence. You were too friendly and curious of nature not to approach them. Akashi almost felt jealous as you smiled at Reo like that. The four of you turned as Eikichi pointed him out.  You bounced excitedly upon seeing him, the warm smile on your face turning into a 1000 watt smile. Like a luminous bunny. He couldn’t help but smile back. The five of you had been chatting throughout the 15 minutes you all had before you’d have to head to class. Kotaro had been involved in a skating accident last week, and as a result had been rather argumentative. “Sometimes, people lash out when they’re in pain.” Came your remark as the two of you were heading to your class. The way you breathed it out sounded rather tired so Akashi glanced at you, noticing how the brightness in your expression was faltering. “Did something happen with your mother?”  “Not really. Other then her making light threats, she’s been in her self-centered state of mind these past couple of days. There are traces of an actual mother who’s warm and good, but my mom is ruled by her sickness and knows 3 modes, you see? There’s her self-centered mode, which is her ‘good’ mode. She’ll revolve everything about her, and I am basically her property and servant when she’s like that. Then there are her two ‘bad’ modes. The first is ignoring my existence, when she gives me the silent treatment and even if I beg for her help, she’ll just start humming something like the French national anthem.  And finally, you have her ‘aggressive’ mode. This is when she’s threatening me, or abusing me. Most of it is verbal and emotional, like that nobody wants me and I’m a parasite who sucks away her happiness.” You explained it clearly, your face hardening and showing no emotion, other then the trembling off your lips.  You were clearly trying not to get emotional and sad from saying it out loud, and your pace towards the classroom was slowing down. Akashi slowed down too. “I’m sorry you have to go through that.”  “It’s fine. It’s not like your dad hasn’t been shitty towards you either. You were grounded for skipping your classes to eat with me at the Maji Burger, weren’t you?” Akashi saw you pursing your lips with remorse, and felt bad he made you feel responsible.  “You shouldn’t worry. It’s what I wanted.” He assured you, and you gave him a soft smile. “Really?”  “Really.” He felt relief as you took a deep breath, the guilt on your face fading as the door of your classroom appeared in sight. Akashi was already exhausted by lunch break. Studying for 2 weeks straight with no break or anything made lunch break, when he could breathe and just be, hit him as hard as a truck on full speed. For the first time ever, he felt like he could fall asleep during class. And if anyone was noticing it, it was you. It would always be you. This time, when walking back to class, you looked over your shoulder, almost in a conspiratory way, and then you leaned in.  He could feel your breath tickle his left ear, and he was pretty sure he was shivering. “How about we skip?”  “What?!” He was looking at you with an incredulous expression. “You heard me. You look like a brick who’s about to fall off of a building. Either I ask the teacher for a slip so I can drag your butt to the infirmary where you can catch a good rest, or, we go have fun on the roof where I will teach you a thing or two about my life’s philosophy as promised.” Your posture was firm and almost motherly, but your eyes were shining with mischief. Akashi knew you wouldn’t back off. That was something he had already known before he approached you.  So he might as well accept full-heartedly. “Take me to the roof.” He told you, and with an excited expression, you tugged him at his sleeve, away from the hallways filled with classrooms. Akashi surrendered himself to your excitement, feeling his own bubbling up. But why his heart was pounding, he had no clue. Perhaps it was the idea of a real break after those dreadful two weeks. Perhaps it was the act of skipping class for the first time. Perhaps it was your hand, still holding onto his sleeve. Likely, it was everything. That day, the two of you would plant the seeds to great joy.
