Albarien (Version 1)

Hello, this is just an update about Albarien, one of the characters in my original novel. I am still trying to make better draws. Right now, I am playing with colours and poses, but that truly takes time. In anycase, this is the first version of this character.

I am trying to get used to using colours, but it's quite hard. But I am doing my best!

Let me help the visually impaired sillies! (Or dyslexic people like me who use the little voice thing to hear what typing says)

Image Ids: the first image is a stick figure with text that say “lets draw perspective! (Is that the word?)” next image is the same stick figure with a square with a line in the middle of the square. With the text saying “squares!” The 3rd image has the same stick figure with the same square with a line through it with a image of “perspective form” and “mesh form” and under it it says “are your best friend!” (Aka perspective form and mesh form are your best friend) the next image has the stick figure in the box with a line and the text says “for your sketch put it in the box!” With a silly face under it the next image says “you can make it looking up!” With the box and stick figure being bent so it looks shorter then the normal view. The next image is the box and stick figure being bent so it looks taller then the normal view the text says “or looking down!” The last image is just the boxes without the stick figure, one being bent to be looking up and the one next to it is being bent to look down. With the text next to the correct box “up!” With a up arrow, and the other being “down!” With a down arrow. End Id

Learning how to draw again and again. I really need to step up my pose-game. Still way too stiff, but much much better than last year. As much as I love painting portraits, it is my new comfort zone now, and I have to step out of it.

Any advice on how to get my pose-game more dynamic, round, and floating?

Immer wieder lernen, wie man zeichnet. Ich muss mein Posen-Spiel wirklich verbessern. Immer noch viel zu steif, aber viel, viel besser als letztes Jahr. So sehr ich es auch liebe, Porträts zu malen, es ist jetzt meine neue Komfortzone, aus der ich herauskommen muss.

Habt ihr Tipps, wie ich meine Posen dynamischer, runder und fließender gestalten kann?

There's much more to add, but this was most helpful for me starting out this month - I will add onto this as I learn more. I took 'basic' very lightly! I dove into anything and kept what was way over my head after trying for later haha. Mainly some of the concepts from the concept art school video, and some of moderndayjames' series go pretty deep.
