I find I get a little depressed if I don’t move my body each day. So sometimes it’s as simple as walking, and other times it’s training to go on summer vacation, or some kind of personal goal I’m trying to meet. Either way I’m just doin ME.

(NOTES LuisBelville’s#Realtalk)
What am I capable of
We all have an opportunity right now to do something that will propel our lives and career to a whole new level.
It’s a dangerous crossroads in a lot of ways. There’s a lot that could go wrong. Normally I am full of belief, but in the last few days, I’ve had my doubts.
Maybe I shouldn’t aim so high so quickly. Maybe I will get distracted from what I really love doing. Maybe I don’t have the skills just yet.
What you’re hearing here is the thoughts of a stock standard, off the shelf, pink brain that was programmed to run on limitations set by others. None of these thoughts are valid unless I accept they are.
Here’s how to see what you can become and then actually become it:
1.Believe first.
There’s an element of visualization required here. Ask yourself the question “What if there were no barriers and I could achieve anything?”
I want you to assume this is the case. To see what you are able to become you must see it first without barriers, negative thinking and outside opinions.
Once you can see what you can become, you then have to start believing. That requires you to see a positive outcome and have the courage to dare to do something phenomenal.
Believing first requires a degree of ignorance.
In a way, I suppose you are ignoring logic. You are being somewhat irrational and not using common sense. You’re using belief to see a future version of yourself that achieves something meaningful to you, and to those who are inspired by your work.
2. Make it really big.
The next step is to dream really big. Our mind often constrains us and forces us to focus on what we’ve done in the past as the basis for what we can become in the future.
The stupid thing is that past results don’t necessarily predict the future. In a previous podcast I had highlighted this point in detail. MAKE YOUR FUTURE BIGGER THAN YOUR PAST.
If that were true, we’d all bet on the stock market based on what has happened before and we’d be millionaires sipping mojitos off the bar of our luxury jets with Dwayne Johnson.
Making your dream really big is an art. Your imagination that has been mostly switched off since you were a child and the creativity that has been sucked out of you by society needs to be reignited for the dreaming element of your mind to be turned on again and lit on fire!
If you aim really high and think you can deliver a speech in front of 50,000 people and then you fall short and deliver an inspiring speech in front of 2000 people, have you really failed?
The obvious answer is no. At least you got out of your warm bed and took a chance. Maybe there were a lot of seats empty but you at least influenced one person in a positive way.
3. Disconnect from the result.
Being fixated on the result stops you from ever taking the first step. I’ve been so focused in the last week on whether I can deliver and whether I have the experience to do something audaciously big that I didn’t take action. Then steps in Fear.
Here’s some Realtalk.
Never giving it a go is a far bigger failure than trying something and not succeeding. Not taking a chance and not risking it all for the person you’ve always wanted to become is something you’ll regret for the rest of your life.
Right up until the day of your death you’ll regret not knowing what could have happened if you saw what you were capable off, took a moon-shot opportunity and became that person.
“Regret is far worse than failure will ever be”
4. Be okay with not knowing a lot.
Part of the battle of seeing what you can become and then becoming it is that there is a lot you won’t know.
The person I want to become in the coming weeks and months, and the opportunity I’m scared to say yes to has a lot to do with the core issue: I have no idea whether I can deliver on my promise.
I have no clue if I am this person that people think I am. Do I really inspire people? Or do I get inspired by other people and use that as fuel to pass it on?
We’ll never know the answers to these questions.
5 doubt is common but not a showstopper
We all have doubts and pieces to the puzzle of life that we can’t figure out.
In the end, there’s only a few harsh truths:
– You must say yes to big opportunities
– You must not overthink every decision
– You must not try to have all the answers
– You must not continually play out every scenario in your head thus draining your energy
All you can do is have guts, believe in yourself, have the courage and become who you’re truly capable of becoming through relentless action.

Fly away.
Always chasing something in life. It’s not bad, but it’s definitely a constant. Chasing our dreams, relationships, self discovery, chasing who we want to become chasing who we were. It’s wild. I think if we didn’t have goals, or distractions we would just be chasing our tails all day. We need a point. We need to make this life matter. But what we usually don’t know where to even start. I know I’m always puzzled or at a standstill when I’m leaning into a new direction or path. But it takes a push, that push is typically external. A friend a family member or even a stranger offering an idea, a suggestion, an opportunity. That’s typically when we feel that push to MOVE. But there are those other moments when you’re a lone Wolf for a while. And that push comes from the inside. Your spirit giving you a nudge towards what feels like destiny. The call. It’s usually a whole other adventure when it comes from the inside. We have to trust ourselves along the path and be open to whatever happens next. Obstacles are opportunities because if you see them as anything else they bring you down or slow you from where you’re inevitably going. We have to embrace life as it happens and that’s not easy unless pushed. Which is typucally like I said is from the outside. But man the power of the push, when it’s from us..From the inside. It’s like you’re walking a purpose only you know and that’s what makes it’s the most challenging but worth it journey to take. Trust that God made YOU with a purpose. One that only you can unfold when you make the intentional decision to do so. To pick up your mat (your life) and walk. Walk toward the great unknown. Walk toward This quiet small idea of unraveling purpose inside of you walk the steps to let it become you. Because at the end of the day we are all walking towards something. This year has a lot of us walking towards our fears and we feel lost, some of us are walking towards the idea of who we are based on what others see. Some of us are walking in circles because we are comfortable with how things are now.. the thing with that last one... nothing lasts forever. You’re comfort is gonna break one day. And if you don’t see that sooner rather than later you could break along with it. We are resilient but when we are oblivious we are fragile. Emotionally and literally. Fragile beings. So if you’re gonna break then break yourself and break now! You don’t even understand the freedom the light that comes from that imtential brokenness. That submission that my life MEANS something. And like a glowstick it’s on that brokenness you will ignite. The path and direction you’re going become a little more clear and you give yourself the permission to move. To walk. To fly away. Away from who you thought you were. Away from shame of your past mistakes. Away from the veil others have put over you. You walk toward a new hope. A hope that is restored each time we make that decision to see and accept our worth our identity. Not with a big head like you’re a big deal to the world. You’re not. But humble because you’re worth it. Your worth dying for. Your worth driving miles to come see. Your worth the love your willing to give. And this new compassion for yourself will unlock something. Gratitude. Thankful for it all the good the bad. Every moment tHat has lead you to here and now whatever that looks like now to you. Feel lost? Feel alone. Feel at your end. BREAK. Do it. Let yourself feel how you feel. Run through those feels. And prepare your heart for the next part. Because it’s in our brokenness we discover the best part. We uncover a truth that we are still breathing. Still going. Still worthy. Take the chances life throws your way. Say yes and ride the waves as they come and go. Smile through the pain. Trust the plan. And remember there is a future and HOPE. Always. Fly away 🛫

Facing yourself
Yesterday I was talking to a new friend who I shared with how often what we really need is NOT another encouraging video to pump ourselves up, but the humility to be honest with ourselves.
I've had to eat plenty of humble pie in my day and I'll still have to as time goes on. Nice words can do wonders, that's why I speak so positively! But giving yourself a kick in the ass does so too.
You're your own worst enemy, but you can be a great encourager too, let's take a look at the person in the mirror. 💙

Realizing that you cannot anticipate the future is liberating. We were trained and wired to pretend we know everything and to be in control. But, more often than not, things take a life of their own.

Yes I try hard. 💯
it’s stupid sometimes. 🤷🏽‍♂️Lol
but honestly idc what anyone else says.
I’m Always learning and breaking and rewriting my imaginary limits.
This experience we all call life has me bent.
But that’s right where I need to be. #blessed .
Like a palm tree, im rooted with belief that I’m made to withstand the storm
But seriously, cuz it’s silly to me (opinion) that people call you out for being too nice, too caring, too out there, too involved, too optimistic, work too hard, and the second you stop or slow down you’re not the same. Or fake. Lol oh boy.. Don’t let things like that bother you. I did for too long and that doesn’t do anything for anyone. So instead of telling people how tired they clearly are, or how they seem to always do too much just be like YOU GOT THIS! lol fr that’s i t. Simple support. Because when you see these people they are making their choice to walk the walk cuz that what you do when you care about someone/something? YOU TRY HARD.

It never ends. (LuisBelville#Realtalk NOTE)
Success or failure in life comes from which type of discomfort you choose.
Most [people] make the error of thinking that one day it will be done. They think, “If I can work enough, then one day I could rest.”Or, “I’m only doing this now so that one day I can do what I really want with my life.” The […] problem is to think that eventually, things will be different in some fundamental way. They won’t. It never ends. As long as life continues.
Have you ever felt like your circumstances were trying to break you? Just when you’ve improved your finances, your car breaks down. You wake up on the wrong side of the bed, come to work to a nagging boss and go home to an indifferent spouse. Every time you take a step forward, you take three back. Inevitably, just as you’re on the rise, something or someone tries to knock you down.
If only life would give you a little bit of a break, you tell yourself, you’d have enough energy to make an effort to become successful.
Deep down, you believe success provides an escape from life’s problems. You figure if you had enough income, freedom, and positive experiences in your life…the crap would stop. It doesn’t and it never will.
In fact, when you push to do something outside of the box — pursue a passion ,write a book, become something, carve your own route — not only will things get worse before they get better, you’ll still have to work to maintain what you’ve achieved. People of all walks of life have problems. Billionaires have problems, Hollywood actors, the Dalai Lama all have problems. Around every corner, just when you think you’ve won, life will find a way to see what you’re made of. But there’s beauty in the struggle of life when you look at the right way. When life tests you, you get the chance to prove you’re resilient. One of the deepest levels of satisfaction comes from knowing how strong you are. Few memories are better than those of overcoming struggles, persisting, and absorbing pressure and turning it into fuel instead of letting it break you. Realizing the world will constantly test you removes the element of surprise. When you find yourself in a bad spot, it feels doubly worse because you didn’t see it coming. Our first reaction to pain and hardship — mine included — is to dwell on how much it sucks. A few of us, however, realize there’s an opportunity to be had. It’s easy to say and difficult to do, but if you can learn how to transform pain into purpose you’ll feel a type of happiness that is ten times better than the feeling of having a life with no difficulties. Maybe our purpose on this planet isn’t to feel good. Maybe we’ve been placed here to see what we’re made of. Almost every time life tests you, you won’t want to find the opportunity in it. I never look positively at a challenge or hardship instantly, but after I’m done sulking, I look to take a step in a positive direction.
Things Will Never be the Way They “Should” Be
People often use should in one of two ways — to give themselves an excuse for not doing something or for complaining about an unchangeable circumstance. A perfect world doesn’t exist — the one without inequality, injustice, unfairness, superficial people, hate, greed, envy, lust, the list goes on. Are you using the word should to avoid living in reality? Maybe you think you should be making more money. But you’re not, and believing you should make more isn’t going to change that. Finding a new job could change that. Improving your performance and negotiating a raise could change that. Complaining definitely won’t. Maybe you think you shouldn’t have to work twice as hard to achieve the same level of success as someone else. But what if you do have to work twice as hard? Are you going to wait for the scales of justice to even out? They won’t. Again, you can complain if you want, but complaining isn’t a strategy. It doesn’t do anything. The same energy you use to rail against the way life should or shouldn’t be could be used to improve your situation. Should also becomes dangerous when you talk about the things you aspire to do. “I should start working out,” you tell yourself. “I should start working harder and being motivated.” The minute you use the word in your head or out loud, you’ve already lost. It gives you an out. You almost get a perverse satisfaction from thinking about doing something. It gives you the credit you don’t deserve yet. Instead of talking about what you should do and the way the world should be, you’re better off doing. Doers make change happen for themselves and for others. Doers don’t have time to think about what they should or shouldn’t do. They know what to do. If they don’t, they gather enough information to have an idea of what to do and act on it. Ask yourself where the word should is causing harm in your life. Now, what are you going to do about it?
Everything is Your Fault. Take responsibility.
I know what you’re thinking. You were born poor, your parents didn’t treat you well, you have a disability, you have a funny accent, you live in the wrong city, you’re sick, your boss hates you, you have no money, you’re a disabled veteran, you’re black, you’re a woman, you’re gay, you’re trans. You’re special. And because your circumstances are so unique, you couldn’t possibly be to blame for your failures. Deep down we know we’re the common denominator of all our problems, but it’s hard to face. Becuase it means we’re the ones who have to change our situations. And if we don’t change our situations, we can only blame ourselves. Nobody wants to think they’re the only real barrier to their own success, happiness, and well-being. It’s easier to blame someone or something else. And no, I don’t think you’re lazy, mediocre, or “don’t want it bad enough.” It’sgenuinely difficult to take full ownership of your life. It can be uncomfortable or downright painful. The natural reaction is blaming someone other than yourself because your brain wants to protect you from harm and danger. But you can overcome these excuses. You’re in control of your life. Are you in control of what happens to you? No, but you’re in control of how you react to what happens to you. You choose how to react to situations, maybe not fully and consciously, but choose nonetheless. If you go through the painful period of acceptance and get up from the floor, rise and I promise greater things are ahead.
God’s plan
My whole life I’ve had a relationship with God without anyone necessarily showing me or teaching me through religious practices. I just always knew there is something greater than us and to me that is God. I’ve always been a “seeker” of Him and the more I sought after Him the more I realize He’s always been there.
Which brings me to today’s mission. I feel God is revealing it to me piece by piece throughout life’s experiences. Showing me who I truly am and what I’m here to do. I believe there are two things that I know I am…a lover and a helper. That’s my purpose. I know that much. So what do I do with that? EVERYTHING! Everything done for God, with love, and with the intention to help someone else is the general mission. My goal is to make a huge positive impact on our world as we know it through social media, talking to people and just reaching out. Leaving every person who comes across my path better than I found them…and not by anything I have done directly for them but by allowing God to use me as a Man of God to shine His light through me onto others. Do I sound crazy to you yet? I hope not, stick with me a while longer…
So I want to share with you this process of truly giving my life to God. Let me start by saying, “WOW!” the difference in myself and everything and everyone in my life is nothing less than amazing! But that is no short story so I’ll save most of it for another time but the end of my marriage. One of the hardest and most challenging seasons of my life where I would look to the sky and say “why” but The part of the process that applies to the mission started when I decided to hand over the captains wheel. I had been half heartedly seeking my whole life but felt like He was pulling me closer. Preparing me for what was next. The nights I felt myself sinking deep within myself, the opportunities to rage or act out, As I went through this storm I had been trying to listen to that inner voice, I believe that’s the Holy Spirit, which was telling me to jump in with my whole heart. So I jumped, jumped right into knowing his character so I can better define my own Which was my outward expression to what I had been feeling growing stronger and stronger inside myself for some time as I decided to do what was right and not what was easy. What happened. Happened. There’s no changing that so I shifted gears and dealt with the card dealt.
So now here I am, in an unfamiliar place, thriving! God is continuing to equip me with the tools needed to carry out the mission. I’m in an environment where I am intentionally surrounded by like minded individuals who are also completing their missions, most importantly God’s presence. So back to the mission, its no longer a dream in my heart but a plan in action! I’m trusting in the Lord always! Let’s all watch how He reveals the plan, stay tuned.

The future is coming, whether you’re ready or not. The past is gone, whether you’re over it or not. Don’t be so distracted obsessing over the latter that you can’t prepare for the former.
Don’t let life hijack your brain! Life used to hijack my brain all the time! I used to worry about why this person didn’t like me, why that person didn’t text me back, why my girlfriend broke up with me, etc….these types of thoughts consumed me every day. I allowed these things that were beyond my control to hijack my everyday thoughts. All of this negativity followed me all day long. It is up to you to realize that you must fill your brain with goals- be ambitious! Like the body requires the proper nutrition to perform optimally, the brain requires positivity, self-confidence and, most of all, it is up to you to control it. Once that motherfucker gets hijacked, you are doomed! Something or someone controls it and they will take you for a fucking joy ride. Trust me- a lot of people enjoy these mind games and watching you respond like a puppet to their every command. No one wants to fail a test. No one wants to get heartbroken. No one wants to get passed over for the promotion at work. No one wants to feel expendable. But, guess what? That is the world we fucking live in. You must learn to push past every single thing and person that wants to hijack your mind. It is critical that you always have goals in front of you so that those negative things that will happen to you don’t derail you and your plans. Make sure that you are the only one who owns real estate in your mind!

(NOTES 2020)
Best teacher I’ve met? That has made me grow? God first. Than Kids and drug addicts who are trying not to do drugs anymore. Ya know that really affects me. I’ve had misccararraiges... and I’ve been in positions with friends who I hang onto when they are TRYING to do better. Spending nights by their side at a random hotel rooms as they fight themselves-and at you but you stand firm because you told them you would be there even if it’s not easy. I’ve comforted those who were prepared to take their lives. And stepped in just as they thought they already have. Pills already gone.. hope swallowed.. When I meet people who are fuck ups (screw ups)... Because I do truly believe that even though we are individual, that there is something sort of much more expressing itself though us. A kind of oneness, and we experience greatness quite casually.. Money, and craving after people’s attentions these are “the crumbs” in life. These are the crumbs. money. Success. I want to be at the banquet. The banquet. Is to love one another. The banquet is to serve one another. These thoughts hit me with the energy of God. You see it everywhere. You may wake up early one morning and go on a walk in your neighborhood. And it’s 5am and as you walk around your neighborhood you see some people on the other side of the road walking closer on the other sidewalk. And you think I hope they don’t look at me, walk up to me or talk to me. Or murder me lol. And then you accidentally step awkwardly and trip falling on your butt and you feel God laughing at you. Like the big gentle playful thing. .Or you’ll be at a friends house and your on the floor and they have kids and you know kids they just stare at you and laugh for no reason sometimes. Lol but all you see is children’s faces bundling you. They don’t even know Mom is depressed and suicidal. They don’t know the negativity you’ve experienced They don’t know nothing about how hard life can get. Or what poverty is. And their faces are ALL that you can see. Smiling laughing faces. Your whole vision -a collage of God tumbling in on you. Experiencing God. God awakening and REMINDING his likeness inside you. The oneness experiencing itself through time.. “always this way” after all these stories and all this complexity’s we create. take God over all the bad, over all the opportunity and wealth in the world. at the end. You feel inside you a “I remember” it’s like “oh yeah there’s that thing. I knew that. I knew that already. We’re just sort of remembering it. Y’know that’s what that feeling is. When something passes between us. It’s the thing realizing itself and expressing itself Impersonally, collectively, beyond illusion of seperation of individual. The body. It’s everyone. it’s all of us. I don’t worship false idols and all idols are false. everything impermanent. Everything temporary. Everything Going. It’s Not Lou-ness that matters -thanks goodness. It’s the UNLouness. Lou is just a dude from Phoenix Arizona who would always fall short. , somethings coming through cuz of the program. Because of the program something is falling through there’s something else there. That’s bigger and better. So it’s all of us.. I realize I try to negotiate myself into position where I look good. , where I get to be on a stage of some kind but this is the best I am man. This is the best I am today. Wait until I’m in the car, freakin scared of what I am. What am I going to do now? Who’s going to look after me? Will I be able to get some sleep. Will I even wake up? AHH! You know... I need to be plugged into God continually. And it’s about recognizing him everywhere and in everyone in these moments. I’m learning.

Life in your hands do you trust that?
The vast majority of people struggle with trusting themselves fully which is pretty sad when its like contemplated upon. This is why it is so important to practice the fine art of trusting oneself within our own lives.
heres the big question Why don’t we trust ourselves fully? well, I’m sure are a number of reasons why we don’t trust ourselves fully. so Let’s explore
1.Negative Influences
Many of us have negative environments and influences around us which cause “us” to lack belief within ourselves and, therefore, not trust ourselves fully. These kind of negative influences gotta be removed at all costs because they are holding us back from our full potential in our lives. its usually not intentional just when paths cross and its time to turn. sometimes we don’t. so, Make the decision to cut them out, no matter how emotionally difficult it might be to do so. like they say if its meant to be they will be back but you’ll both be new versions of you. be real! This is your life quality at stake.
2. No Proven Track Record
meaning Many people don’t have a track record of disciplined action. As a result, they don’t see themselves as disciplined individuals and as people who can trust themselves fully to do things. you see it all the time on Facebook. you hear about the incapabilities in person. This is why I personally keep track of my disciplined behavior through various methods such as tracking through apps and stuff like my diet or thoughts or even pinterest for visual inspiration. or express yourself like i do with this podcast and written forms of tracking as well. notes on my phone are essential for my own sanity
3. (BIG ONE) Cultural Manipulation
Culture wants you to stick to a certain, rigid path and stay in your lane. look at the world right now. lets be honest. They do this through various methods of manipulation via media, advertising, so on and so forth. Think about it, if you become your own individual who has standards, then you likely won’t fall into the trap of consumerism which is what culture wants you to walk into. Separate yourself as an individual and avoid cultural hypnosis. that shit’s real.
4. Ego
The ego doesn’t wan to change and just wants you to remain within your comfort zone. For the vast majority of people, a lack of self belief and trust is within their comfort zone because they have become victims within their lives. We have all been victims in our lives. some worse than others but all of us non the less. understand its not our moments of struggle that define us but how we handle them. you are NOT a victim. but in life This becomes a vicious cycle that runs on fuel of unhealthy momentum. you have to Understand your ego and practice a detachment from its impacts on your life. These are just a few key reasons why we don’t carry a full trust within ourselves. so lets talk about he impacts of what this means for our lives in terms of results and manifestations.
Manifestations Of Lacking Self Trust
so one thing that manifests for sure is a Lack of commitment
If we are unable to trust ourselves then we will never be able to fully commit and dive into a process of any kind. This lack of commitment shows within our actions and mentality, what we do daily and how we look at things. following us like a dark cloud over our heads.
Because we lack a commitment to the process, we lack results and even if we do get results, they are short term and unsustainable.
Gaining unsustainable results is often super duper frustrating because we are always lost as to why we get “these” types of results. the “I cant do anything right” The more we can understand that these results are a manifestation of not trusting ourselves fully, the more we can move closer to gaining sustainable results and breaking free of the chains that hold us back. now the tricky one. and this is for those of you like me who try to do it all on your own.
Self sabotage is one of the biggest obstacles that holds the majority of people back from gaining high quality real results in life.
We've all been through self sabotage in one form or another and it’s really fascinating as to why it even occurs in the first place. Why would someone ever consciously do things that holds them back from their own personal growth? The answer is because it resides within “unconsciousness” which leads us to our next manifestation.
A lack of awareness and consciousness is a major culprit as to why we don’t trust ourselves fully because we aren’t even aware of the fact that we don’t trust ourselves fully. This is why awareness is so essential within the process of gaining self trust. By moving from an unconscious state to a state of awareness, we become much more likely to remain in integrity with what we want to do and how we want to improve. be intentional.
a person who doesn’t trust him or herself is always wondering why they are unable to engage in trust with themselves. This sets off a cycle of self doubt, worry, depression, so on and so forth and results in like emotional turmoil. seriously, Emotional turmoil alone can destroy our health and lives. I’ve seen it.
lets talk..how we can take steps to solve this problem of lacking self trust. I’ll try to put it simply, because in reality it can be. so lets bake a trust cake.
Self trust is a recipe that requires lets say, three ingredients.
Ingredient #1: Make a decision
We must decide if we actually want to trust ourselves fully. This sounds obvious, but many people fail to actually make a 100% committed decision.
Commit and decide.
Ingredient #2: Dedicated & disciplined action
We must be able to start the process of engaging in dedicated, consistent, and disciplined action. Over time, as we follow this momentum of action, we will start to begin to trust ourselves with the small things and gradually graduate towards trusting ourselves with the bigger things. Self discipline is the path to self trust. i make to do lists when i feel myself getting off track or lost in a season. keeps me intentional and productive.
Ingredient #3: Taking care of oneself
Don’t expect yourself to trust your own judgement if you can’t even properly take care of your body.
Exercise, eat nutritious foods, sleep extremely well when you can, move, laugh a lot, and it will make everything much easier. I promise!
These ingredients are very simple to understand, yet another thing to implement and practice. Don’t underestimate the power of these ingredients in creating a delicious dish of self trust because they work, just as long as you work alongside with them.

(Unused song from NOTES)
I don’t I don’t know what to do with my life
Other than be good to people that’s why I’m so nice
But it’s hard it’s hard and I feel alone
And in and in that place I can hear your voice
Telling me to hold on because I have the choice to be. Who I want to be.
Even when my friends are no where in sight
Even when I reach out but there’s no reply
I know I know I got you
Show me how to love you so I can love them like you. I want to bring a light I borrowed a Love that is true so can you shine on me
I wanna tell them don’t give up
I wanna help them let hate go
I wanna help them pick you up.
I wanna be a friend like you
Cuz I know I know oh all those nights
where you’re laying in bed with a lot on your mind
Ans it hurts inside
The world the world has gotten in
I can feel my body ache with all sin
My heart is broken
