1. Sex Toys/Strap-on, Mutual Masturbation, Muscle
It can be fun to make them frustrated.
If you set limits they usually listen: no touching each other, no looking away, no coming until I say that you’re allowed to. They know the final release will be even sweeter if they’re good. You’re the only one with the fortitude to actually enforce it, and they’re loath to let you down, so they obey.
But they’ve been needy recently. When you’re immortal time can seem very short, so when you enforced a month of chastity at first they seemed intrigued by the idea. However by the end of the first week they were needy, and at the end of the second they were desperate. Begging for your permission, which was only granted after a great length.
Not in the way they expected though.
You’re spread out on the bed, legs akimbo; Aziraphale is on the bedroom chair with his trousers around his ankles; and Crowley is simply leaning up against the doorframe. Then sounds filling the room are the soft slap of skin on skin, the heavy breathing of concentration.
Your angel has his hand around his cock, working it rhythmically, running his thumb over the head. Your devil has the fingers of one hand buried in his cunt, the other working his clit with such force you’re sure he will be sore tomorrow. You match their pace evenly, working between your legs with glee, their performance taking your lust to new heights. Your own personal pornography.
“That’s it,” Aziraphale breathes. His eyes flit between the two of you. He wants to see who can take more fingers, and irritatingly Crowley always wins that one. He has four inside himself, crooking to hit his own g-spot. He’s collapsed against the door in order to try and keep himself propped up, slick with sweat and cum.
“Oh, Crowley, you’re lovely,” you whisper. He manages a grin and fuck himself harder.
“That’s it darling,” Aziraphale encourages, squeezing his sac with his free hand and speeding up his pmovements. Crowley moans.
“I’m going to —”
“Yes,” is the simultaneous response, and the three of you come at the same time, endorphins flooding you and making you hazy. Aziraphale cums in pearls jets over his hand, Crowley’s fingers damp as he squirts.
You collapse into the pillows.
“There,” you manage, “will that tide you over?”
From the hungry look in their eyes you can guess that the answer is no.

WIP Word Search
Thank you to the lovely @femme--de--lettres for tagging me in this (I've always wanted to play!!)
My words are: table | mourn | haze | trail | caught
TABLE
They stared one another down unblinkingly, each trying to bluff the other into breaking. Lily pushed two black chips forward, and knocked twice. "Call," said Remus. Lily arched a brow at him challengingly. "Show 'em, Lupin." They slapped their cards down on the table in unison, and Remus felt his triumphant shout die in his throat. He had forgotten, in his hubris, that Lily bit her lip when she was trying not to laugh, too.
Applied Theory Ch. 4 - Overhand: The Challenge.
MOURN
There was no time to mourn the save, however. One of the Slytherin Chasers — Cassius, maybe; hard to tell from a distance — recovered the Quaffle from Angelina's failed shot, tearing towards the other end of the pitch at breakneck speed. He was good, Remus could give him that. Poor Ron was hovering between two goal posts indecisively, watching probably-Cassius race towards him like he was facing down a loaded cannon. "Come on, mate!" Remus called. "Watch his hands!" It wasn't clear what Ron was watching, but it certainly wasn't Cassius’ hands. The Quaffle sailed through the centre hoop easily, the boy missing the save by miles.
Louder Than Love Ch. 13 - To Rage and Define Ourselves
HAZE
“We need to bring back the word ‘whence.’” Dora squinted at Sirius through the haze of smoke, blinking unevenly. “I am not nearly high enough for this conversation,” she groaned, and Sirius let out a breathy sort of chuckle. “No, no,” he insisted, “I just mean it’s like… the same thing as saying ‘from where’ isn’t it? I mean, you could either say ‘Oi, Sirius, where did you get this pot from?’ or you could just say ‘Whence came this pot—’” “And I would sound like a poncey git,” Dora scoffed, splashing him with water. Sirius scowled at her. “It’s efficient.”
Louder Than Love Ch. 16 - ICONOCLAST
TRAIL
They Apparated out to Lyall and Hope’s little cottage in Glais, tucked into a secluded wooded area. Excellent location for keeping your teenaged werewolf son hidden from nosy neighbours; less so for finding wayward wives. Remus caught her trail before Sirius did — more accustomed to using his nose when it counted — and they followed him off into the woods, wands at the ready, prepared to face off against whoever had absconded with her. But no one had: Hope was wandering around a field halfway to Resolven, frustrated and confused but otherwise unharmed.
Louder Than Love Ch. 12 - What Devil, What Shape Is Shifting Now?
CAUGHT
He said “chat” the way Remus’ father had that time he’d caught him smoking pot on the roof. Why don’t you come down from there, and you and I will have a chat. He’d been sixteen and stupid, but not stupid enough to think that was a suggestion. And just like he was sixteen, Remus slowly approached, gripping the back of the armchair like a lifeline as he walked around it, and carefully sat down. There was a half-empty bottle of whisky on the coffee table. He did not remember leaving it there.
open my heart (let it bleed onto yours) Ch. 7 - i wanted to bite, not destroy

Do you think after a project like Klaus the industry is gonna see a rise in 3d make to look 3d bc of aesthetics? Or do you think it's going to keep heading in a more and more three dimensional style?
i'm going to assume you meant '2d' in the first 3d you said? like if 2d will be heading towards 3d aesthetics?
I think for commercial animated feature films, there's obviously a really strong emphasis on realistic, detailed, tremendous, data & process heavy aesthetics. I recently watched Lupin III (3d animated movie from 2019) and that made it extremely clear to me lmao. so with that in mind, klaus is definitely a film that carries that sentiment--their dedication to detail in klaus is a genuine herculean feat. so in a way, klaus was successful because it was able to compete in a society of media where pixar was releasing films like toy story 4 with extreme dust capturing textures HD 8k 400 fps and a free breath mint, or whatever. netflix was a safer place to release it though, because it's low effort and low commitment for someone to watch klaus.
side note, i'm going to be talking about this now entirely regarding the industry, because after 5 years of being an animator i have learned that no one outside of the industry over the age of 18 could tell you what the difference is between a 2d and a 3d animated film, much less what VFX is and how it's not motion graphics... etc. so they really don't care if it's 2d or 3d as long as it looks good.
ultimately it's kind of hard to say, because framing it as "will 2d features become more 3d looking?" doesn't really fit in the reality of the industry rn. 2d feature films are a rarity nowaday (in america at least, i know there are european ones but i focus primarily on american animation talking about this, plus europe has the benefit of smaller studios being able to make features which.. does not happen often in the us), so: I'm not sure if it's that there will be a shift in the industry towards 2d to look 3d, because 2d is already nearly extinct in the commercial feature realm (even that new chip and dale movie ABOUT THE 2D/3D DICHOTOMY couldn't be fucking arsed to ANIMATE THE """2D"""" ONE IN 2D........ they 3D animated him and used fucking toon shaders).
what i DO think is that Klaus gives the industry way more of an incentive to consider 2d animation for features, and the advent of Klaus' lighting technology gives them reason to throw something fresh at moviegoers. spiderverse itself even gave a taste of multi-dimension animation blending to extremely huge success, and that's the reason mitchells vs the machines has the aesthetic it does; a blend of 2d and 3d is fresh and interesting for viewers who have any taste at all. so klaus REALLY knocked it out of the park and its success was absolutely notable to netflix and so on. (netflix is the devil but simultaneously i have to give them hats off for promoting so many 2d and stop motion features.)
outside of streaming it's hard to say if you'll see a truly 2d animated film in theaters ever again, but within streaming which has become the industry interest anyway, i think that it's very likely you'll see more 2d films coming out with technology improvements. sergio pablos himself said that he didn't really want any harsh comparisons between 2d and 3d or to say that klaus is a good film just because it's 2d, but to say it's good because it's simply a good film, and the ultimate reason he used 2d animation for klaus is because he felt that 2d had been left by the wayside to never improve meaningfully after disney and co moved onto 3d features. He wanted to improve the medium to catch it up to speed with 3d, and he fucking DID.
at the end of the day, profit is king in the industry. klaus had a budget of $40 million (toy story 4 had a budget of $200 million, for comparison!), but i can't find their profits online, so i don't know if it was a big enough chunk of change for other industry giants to put all their chips in to even try a full 2d feature. i know netflix does them here and there but i haven't heard of any new ones to the scale of klaus. then again i haven't been looking...
if we are talking about lower budget 2d features, btw, i do think there might be a slight foray into experimental yet more 'beautiful' technology techniques, but i'm not sure if that'll manifest as more "3d looking" animation. cartoon saloon went insane with wolfwalkers, which was deeply 2d to its core, and yet they slyly used 3d technology for the wolfvision scenes (in a similar way that disney used to integrate 3d into their 2d films such as beauty and the beast and tarzan).
last thing i'll say is that there IS a market for 2d--a particularly large one. look up any pencil test from a classic animated film on youtube and you'll see thousands of comments from people bemoaning a world without REAL 2d animated films, like they really used to make them, and every comment on Klaus videos are about how they're bringing glory back to 2d... so if there's a commercially large studio that wants to put their bets on it, i think there's really something lurking under the surface for 2d, especially for those feeling nostalgic.
I hope to be a part of that 2d feature resurgence :)

I’d guess Jigen would be the more “controled” driver like “I know exectly when to drift, when to hit the break and if the car fits through this street corner or not. I got this.”
And Lupin is.... well.... Lupin.... “Fuck this, I won a car-race once!”

sleep to you who wander
(As far as I’m concerned, The Castle of Cagliostro already has a perfect ending, especially for what’s supposed to be Lupin III’s final adventure.  But what happens after our heroes ride off into the sunset and life continues for them, anticlimactic as it might be?  I wrote this after pondering that very question, with help from @dying-suffering-french-stalkers and her reference to a simiilar scene in The Princess Bride, where the ride off into the sunset doesn’t go quite so smoothly.  We’ve had a looooot of DM conversations on the topic, and this was the result--I hope you guys enjoy it!)
“Did we lose ‘em?”
Meeting Jigen’s eyes in the rearview mirror for a second, Goemon glanced out the back window.  There was a reassuring lack of sirens on the road behind them.  “We lost them.  Fujiko must have headed them off at the border.”
Lupin let out a quiet chuckle from the passenger seat.  “Oh, so she wouldn’t share the plates, but…”  He trailed off and sank further down, tempted to tilt the seat back, but not wanting to scare the poor unsuspecting samurai sitting there (not that ending up in a blushing Goemon’s lap wouldn’t be nice…)
Besides, they’d have to make a pit stop soon, anyway.
“Hey, Jigen?  As soon as we find a petrol station, pull over.”
“We’ve got plenty of fuel still.  And don’t tell me you gotta take a leak—”
“Just pull us over, all right?  I gotta take care of something.”
A pause.  Jigen and Goemon’s eyes met again through the mirror.
“… Get me some cigarettes while you’re in there?”
“Done.”
The last of the Cagliostro countryside turned into the Italian countryside, and the back roads turned into the streets of Ventimiglia, Italy.  So many people were out on the sidewalks, perusing shop windows and outdoor stands, lined up across each block in herds, almost drowning out traffic… what day was it?  Lupin realized he hadn’t even been keeping track—the only indication he’d had of the time passing was the newspaper clipping of the Count’s failed wedding.  The fashion markets happened on Fridays, right?  He remembered Rebecca mentioning that to him… how long ago now?  It couldn’t have been too long, could it?  Maybe if he watched the crowds now, he could catch a glimpse of long blonde hair streaked with blue (or maybe she’d gotten bored of that color and switched to pink or purple or something.  Women did so love changing up their hair), but he couldn’t twist that far without a rib digging directly into his lung and making him gasp.
Where the hell was a petrol station when you needed one?
It took about fifteen minutes of Jigen honking furiously at pedestrians and growling for them to “share the goddamn road” before they were moving at full speed and finally pulling in beside one of the pumps.  Jigen emphatically buried his spent stub of a cigarette in the ashtray, driving his own point home.  “You promised—”
“Don’t worry, I’m good for it.”  Lupin tried to reach for the First Aid kit under the seat as nonchalantly as possible as he opened the door and rose to his feet…
Jigen was too quick on the uptake.  Grabbing his wrist and twisting his arm just so, forcing Lupin to look up at him?  “Whaddya need it for?”
“C’mon, it’s not a big—”
“What do you need it for?”
… Well, right now, the last thing Lupin needed was to have the truth choked and yanked out of him.  Even sighing made his chest hurt.  “Get my jacket off for me, would you?”
Jigen obeyed, pulling it off carefully by the arms and draping it across the back of his own seat.  At the same time, Lupin unbuttoned his black shirt until the wrappings and bandages underneath were showing.
There was actually less blood than he’d expected.  Maybe he hadn’t torn everything open… just enough to make a mess, though.
Over his shoulder, he heard Jigen hiss in shock and the back passenger door open as Goemon bounded out.  “Why the hell didn’t you tell us?” came Jigen’s choked voice as he almost jumped out of the driver’s seat, letting Lupin’s head fall back against it.  Lupin almost made a joke about how he’d been cheated out of laying in two very choice gentlemen’s laps, but it died in his throat as he let his back fully stretch out for the first time in hours.
“Wasn’t really the biggest thing in on my mind,” he admitted, unable to keep from wincing, but forcing himself to relax more as Goemon knelt and inspected his wounds.  “We had a wedding to stop, a princess to rescue, a treasure to uncover, a Count to defeat… kind of a packed schedule, even for us.”  Still, getting into a fight in a clocktower and then plummeting several hundred feet into freezing cold water on top of that didn’t exactly do wonders for multiple gunshot wounds and a concussion.  Who would’ve thought?
“You still should have told us you were in pain,” Goemon replied somewhere near his waist.  He lay one cool hand over where one of the bandages had come loose, a warning and a request, and Lupin nodded and gritted his teeth in anticipation.  “We could have helped you when you first came back.”
“Yeah, I know… I just had a lot of my mind.”  Goemon went slowly and gently as he tightened the wrappings, occasionally mopping up the blood with a paper napkin from the glove compartment along the way, and Lupin tilted his head back for any friction to distract from the sting and pull in his skin.  Normally when he was being treated like this, he would either playfully swoon over his wonderful nurses and how good they were with their hands, or he would rail loudly at how unfair it was and that he couldn’t be slowed down like this.  Right now, he didn’t have the energy for either.  His chest was still tight, and it had nothing to do with the bandages.
“If you ever need help, just let me know.  I’ll come running from anywhere on earth to save you.”
Just don’t need me yet, kiddo—I’m not in the best shape for it right now.
“You gonna be okay?”  Jigen’s voice again.  The seat right above his head dipped, and Lupin looked up to see him crouched right above him, his knee almost grazing the top of his hair.
“Oh, yeah, I’ll be fine.  You know me—it’s gonna take a lot more than this to knock me out of the running.”
“Says the guy who was knocked out for three days straight not that long ago.”
“But isn’t that why I have you?”  Lupin tilted his head further back and shot Jigen the brightest, most charming smile he could manage.  “To gallantly nurse me back to health when my strength fails?”
Jigen didn’t answer, but he did mutter something that sounded like “smug little prick” before raking a hand across Lupin’s head, fingers digging through his hair into his scalp.  Lupin shamelessly leaned into the touch—it was enough to make up for the lack of Goemon’s hands after he tied off the last of the bandages and buttoned Lupin’s shirt back up to the collar.  He still couldn’t tie a necktie, but Lupin didn’t want to bother with it right now.
“Do you know where we’re heading next?” Goemon asked, offering a hand to help Lupin straighten up.
“Not a clue.”  He tried to pass it off as casual, his usual devil-may-care recklessness, as he rose to a sitting position in the passenger seat once again.  “You guys have any ideas?”
Jigen shrugged as he climbed back in behind the wheel, but Goemon hesitated, still kneeling right outside with the First Aid kit in his lap… ears going slightly pink.  “I… may have one.”
“Oh?”  Now Lupin was extremely alert.  “Well, you know I’d loooove to hear it, Goemon!”
“I would like to go back to Japan--Suminawa’s village, specifically.  I have… some loose ends I’d like to tie up.”
No sooner had those words left his mouth than Jigen let out a knowing cackle.  “You’re wanting to see Murasaki again, aren’t ya?  Isn’t it about time you made an honest woman of her?”
Goemon’s extremely pink face was answer enough for both of them.
“Hey, that sounds great!”  Lupin leaned forward, shifting just so he could sling an arm around his partner’s shoulder.  “Tell you what—we’ll make a road trip out of it.  Just the three of us.  We’ll just drive until we need to find a ship across, and if there’s any place you guys wanna hit along the way, we can do it.  Doesn’t even have to be a heist—if you guys wanna go sightseeing or shopping or anything at all, just let me know!”
It felt a bit like stalling, and maybe it was.  Maybe he just didn’t want to let Goemon go just yet.  Maybe the prospect of him settling down (even if it was with a nice girl like Murasaki) felt a little too much like never seeing him again.  But he’d already left way too soon after the three of them hightailed it out of Monaco, and as nice it was to spend all that time on the road with Jigen… the Fiat’s backseat did feel pretty empty.
And there was still that tightness in his chest he wanted to put off dealing with for as long as possible.
To his relief, Goemon nodded.  “That does sound nice… as long as you don’t get us lost on the scenic route through Russia on the way.”
“Hey, that was one time!”
“And the only time, right?”
Before Lupin could say anything, Jigen was cackling again and actually aiming a gentle kick right at the small of his back, forcing him to his feet.  “C’mon, dumbass—you’re still on cigarette duty before we hit the road.”
***
He had planned for a couple of heists along the way.  Just a couple—there weren’t many places Lupin hadn’t already stolen from or at least had a memorable encounter therein.  At some point over the campfire, he’d dug out a collection of old roadmaps and traced the many annotations he’d left in it.  Every continent, every large metropolitan area in every country.  X-es and checkmarks over where he’d been, notes scribbled in the margins.  Lists of traps to look out for, supplies to bring with them.  Lather, rinse, repeat on every page.  Sheafs of hotel stationery tucked into the bindings with diagrams and estimated floorplans and arrows mapping out everyone’s positions, including Zenigata’s.
(Where was Pops now, anyway?  Was he still out there looking for them?  Had he given up?  Hell, there was a chance he’d stumble across their little campsites any second… in which case, Lupin was tempted to just offer him a sausage and tell him to take a load off.)
Very little empty, unexplored space left on any of them.  That, too, sat heavy somewhere in Lupin’s chest.
But he did want to eke out a handful of smaller jobs.  Mostly second tries at treasures they hadn’t quite managed to steal, moving from one museum to another.  The Faberge Museum had apparently found more eggs to display, and what the hell, it might be nice to have something pretty for the hell of it (and they’d lost their old haul somewhere in a Moscow hotel the last time) …
It seemed only appropriate that Fujiko beat him to it.
The Fiat had parked overnight along the Moyka River Embankment, nestled inconspicuously among the other cars.  The engine was running just enough to leave the heat on, and Goemon was sitting upright in the backseat, head lolled gently against his chest, while Jigen had tipped his own seat all the way back so that his head nearly rested on Goemon’s knee.  Lupin had spent the past six hours driving, and his jacket was actually buttoned for once so he could burrow into the neck, trying to force himself to sleep.  Jigen’s snores didn’t usually bother him, but right now they were unnecessarily loud.
He'd almost mistaken the rumble of Fujiko’s bike for another snore.
But as he leaned his cheek against the window, there it was.  And there she was.  Still blonde, her surplus military uniform traded for her old red biker’s gear.  Goggles pulled up over her forehead as she sidled up to the car, eyes finding Lupin’s and giving him a slight, amused smirk as he could only blink at her at first before rolling down the window.  She’d been so far ahead of them… how had she caught up?  Or rather, how had they caught up with her?
“Nothing there that we haven’t already picked over, unfortunately,” Fujiko said, hefting a large satchel into her lap.  “Still… I did manage to come away with a few little beauties.”  With some effort, she lifted out a large golden egg latticed with starbursts and topped with a diamond the size of an eyeball.  And when she cracked it open, a miniature red coach, also studded with gold and propelled by golden wheels, tumbled gently out.
Lupin couldn’t help but whistle.  “Very nice… I don’t suppose I can get you to share, Fujicakes?”  He pressed his hands together under his chin like a child praying at Christmas, tilting his head up and exaggeratedly batting his eyelashes at her.  “I’d settle for just the coach, y’know.”
“Not a chance.”  Fujiko quickly tucked the treasures back into her satchel.  “I know appraisers who would pay in blood just to touch the Imperial Coronation egg.  And last I checked, you came away from Cagliostro empty-handed.”
“Hey, I was the one who uncovered the Roman city underneath the lake—that has to count for something!”
“But you can’t exactly carry a city, Lupin.”
“Well, not with that attitude.”  As if he couldn’t still picture it perfectly, even after so many weeks.  Or months—had it been months since they started?  It felt like hours since he’d been there walking the ruins, jumping across causeways Clarisse couldn’t reach so he could catch her on her way over.  He’d stolen San Marino, he’d stolen Paris, he’d stolen New York City more than once, and now he had this little piece of Cagliostro… there was something romantic about that.  Something suitably grand for the world’s greatest thief.  Lupin the First would definitely approve.
Fujiko just hummed skeptically and let it go, repositioning her bike in preparation to drive away.  “So where are you all off to?”
“Back to Japan—Goemon wanted to patch things up with Murasaki, and I told him we’d make a trip of it.  What about you?”
“Mmmm… I haven’t decided yet.”  There was a note of wistfulness in Fujiko’s voice, in her eyes… Lupin always found that particularly beautiful.  Not that she wasn’t a knockout when she was confidently conning her way through droves of men, himself included, with that hard set in her face and that edge in her smile—lesser men had died just for a glimpse.  But these spare moments of uncertainty, especially in the dim light when she still had some plausible deniability, were that much more precious.  Lupin had missed seeing them, now that they weren’t in such close quarters anymore.  “I know at least one dealer in France who would pay pretty handsomely.  And I haven’t been back there in a while… you know, I actually miss it.”
“Even with all the bullshit from last time?”
She actually laughed, if only just a little.  “Even with all the bullshit from last time.”
“Hey, say hi to Ami for me.  And save me a reservation at the Ritz—we could catch up.”
There was something oddly final about this, too.  Maybe he was just overthinking things; after all, this was Fujiko, who couldn’t be bothered tying herself to any one city or any one man or woman.  They’d see each other again someday.  It was almost inevitable.  That was why he didn’t bother giving her a date—maybe it would be months, maybe even years, but at least that table would be there, waiting.
Still… he pictured this going differently.  Maybe after one more grand heist, one more merry chase through the hallways of some huge museum or manor house before they emerged onto a balcony and Fujiko leaped onto the ladder of a waiting helicopter, leaving him with empty hands and tingling lips once again.  Or maybe one last tumble, for old time’s sake (not that there was room in the car for that, and Jigen would bawl him out if he dragged them all to a hotel just for her).  This felt… weirdly anticlimactic in comparison.
Maybe that was only fitting.  It wasn’t really an end per se, or at least it didn’t have to be.  Nothing ever really ended between them.
Fujiko smiled.  “We’ll see how things turn out.”  And she started to turn around to leave…
“Oh, Fujiko?”
She stopped midway through lowering her goggles.  “Hmm?”
Lupin was tempted to ask for a kiss, or even to just take her free hand and kiss it in farewell.  But neither felt right at the moment, and on the chance she’d refuse he didn’t want them to leave on bad terms.  So instead he just gave her a smile.  “See you around.”
Her own smile brightened, and she gave him a wink in return before revving her engine and riding off down the road.  Lupin watched her go until the motorcycle was a dot in the distance before sinking back into his seat, not even bothering to roll the window back up.  There was a breeze coming in from off the river.  Beside him, Jigen had backed nearly all the way up and off the passenger seat toward the back, still laying flat with his hat over his face, but nearly on top of Goemon, who barely registered his presence.
It was a nice night.
***
It was a nice night when they finally dropped off Goemon as well.  They’d long since lost track of how long they’d been on the road--the Fiat had lasted several dozen tanks of gas, two flat tires, one fussy engine that Jigen had taken multiple attempts to jumpstart, and a barge across the Sea of Japan.  By the time they reached Murasaki’s village, the air brushed coolly through the open windows, the caps of snow on the mountains nearby had grown whiter, and the trees rustled red and gold.
The world had been green when they started out, Lupin noted.  Maybe he just hadn’t noticed the change.
Halfway through a familiar glen, where a small roadside garden stretched slowly into view, Goemon motioned for them to stop.  “I can walk the rest of the way.”
“You sure?”  Lupin pulled over to one side and parked, but didn’t kill the engine just yet.  “We can drop you off right on her doorstep, it’s no problem.”
“I think I would rather talk to her alone when I get there.  We’ll have a lot of ground to cover… since I’ve been gone so long.”  Climbing out of the backseat, sword in hand and travelling hat tucked under his arm, Goemon came to stand in front of them.  “So we can say goodbye here.”
Oh, to hell with that.  The second he and Jigen climbed out after him, Lupin reached out and took Goemon’s hands and, when he seemed receptive to that, swept him into a hug, one hand on the back of his hair.  There was so much he wanted to say… most of it variations on thank you.  For putting up with his nonsense, for coming through every time they needed him and every time they didn’t, for staying by his side even when Jigen couldn’t, for being so absurdly loyal and brave, for making him laugh and feel alive even from the moment they met, for letting Lupin make him laugh when he thought he never would again, for letting him be a part of his life at all… they’d be here all night if he kept counting the reasons.
For now, one quiet “Thank you” would do before he pulled out of the hug and gave Goemon a kiss on each cheek.  “You take care of yourself, okay?  Her, too.”
Goemon nodded, throat suspiciously tight as he moved onto Jigen, who wrapped him into his own tight hug.  “Don’t be a stranger,” Jigen murmured before dropping his voice and whispering something only he could hear into his ear.  Lupin didn’t try to listen, tempting as it was--he just stood back alongside them, hands in his pockets.  When Goemon finally stepped away, his jaw stuttered with the beginnings of half a dozen parting words before snapping closed as he gave them both a nod.
“Travel safe, you two.  I’ll… I’ll be in touch.”
Lupin gave him the same smile he’d given Fujiko, feeling it pull even more at his lips this time.  “We’ll hold you to that, y’know.”
And with that, Goemon turned, let in a deep cleansing breath that eased the remaining tension in his shoulders, and started off down the road.  His partners watched him go until he, too, was only a dot disappearing around the bend in the wake of a tiny indoor light glowing yellow and drowning him out.  Saying goodbye to Fujiko had felt strangely unsatisfying, but somehow just right.  This… this just felt right.
Didn’t stop his eyes from burning against the dark, though.
Lupin hadn’t realized how dark it had gotten--how long they’d been standing there--until Jigen nudged him, a fuzzy indigo blur in the shadow of the car.  “C’mon.  Let’s find a place to sleep.”
Neither of them moved for a few minutes after that.  Even with nothing left to see but the fireflies in the grass.
***
“You can take that off now, you know--it’s starting to creep me out.”
Lupin grinned behind the mask of Zenigata’s face.  “Hey, maybe Pops’ll take the hint and join us for a breather.”  It had been almost a year since they’d seen hide or hair of the good inspector (hell of a thing to process), and Lupin was starting to miss him.  And after all, no matter where he was in the world, there was no better way to summon him than somebody reporting a false sighting.
Jigen rolled his eyes, but patted him on the shoulder as the elevator landed and he peeled back off down the hotel hallway.  “Yeah, well, you go change.  I’m gonna go check out our room--they better have been serious about the bar.”
Once he was alone, Lupin ducked through the doorway to the courtyard, glancing around him before pulling off the mask and tucking it into the pocket of the great brown overcoat before slinging it over his shoulder.  There were still a few weeks left before the snow stayed down in drifts, so for today the sky was blue and clear, and piles of grey slush clumped around the remaining patches of grass and the little patio that had once been surrounded by summer flowers…
He’d almost walked right on past, but his eye finally caught the figure sitting on the sofa.  Surrounded by large antique suitcases, flanked by an old man in rough-hewn gardener’s clothes and  two hulking security guards the size of professional wrestlers.  A petite figure in a purple dress, red hair pinned elegantly at the nape of her neck and hidden by a wide-brimmed hat.
Lupin recognized her in an instant.  She recognized him, too--as she rose and rushed over to meet him, her arms went out as if to hug him, but at a start from one of her bodyguards, she resisted and forced them back down to her sides.  Instead, she held up a hand for him to kiss, as befitting a proper young lady, but as he did so her voice was breathless with excitement.
“I knew… I just knew we’d meet again someday, Mr. Thief.”
And the ache in Lupin’s chest yawned so fiercely he feared it might swallow him.
***
Their hotel room did not, in fact, come with a bar.  With much grumbling, Jigen had taken them to the one across the street.  It was admittedly a very nice place--the staff were friendly, the drinks were great, and the in-house jazz band had the tact to slow things down after a certain hour and more than a few patrons needed cut off for the night.  Right now they were playing a melancholy piece for saxophone and piano, more of a reflection than a true song.
It gave Lupin something to focus on… the ice in his glass was melting and the condensation leaving rings on the table, but he couldn’t bring himself to drink.
“Been doin’ an awful lot of sighing there, buddy,” came Jigen’s voice beside him, slowly nursing his own glass of scotch.  When Lupin didn’t rise to the bait, Jigen heaved a long-suffering sigh of his own.  “Look, I’m not gonna choke it out of you in front of a buncha strangers, so you might as well tell me now.”
“All, right, all right…”  Where did he even start, though?  It was all a disorganized jumble in his head, and that bothered him more than anything.  That, and the stupid lingering anxiety of how Jigen might react.  He raised his melting glass and downed it, desperately drawing energy from the burn in his throat.  “You’ll never guess who I ran into earlier when we first checked in.”
“Better not have been Pops--at least not while you were still wearing his face.”
“Nope.  Clarisse.”
Jigen’s face softened a bit.  “No kidding?”
“No kidding.”  Lupin wanted to smile, but he only managed a slight upturn of his lips.  “She’d snuck into Japan to ask for help establishing a tourist program for Cagliostro.  She was just on her way home, though, so we… we didn’t actually get to talk much.”  But there was so much more to the conversation, short as it was, that Lupin wished he could go into.  How Clarisse had dedicated so much to dismantling the tools of her family’s corruption and making public statements to the world about undoing the damage.  How she was personally helping to convert the underground printing press into shelters for the poor.  How she’d spent her seventeenth birthday touring her kingdom and getting to know her subjects, even taking the afternoon to make tea for an old woman and her grandchildren.  How Christopher was still a good friend, how Karl was still lively as a puppy even as “an old man in dog years.”  How healthy she looked now that she was no longer a prisoner in her own home, how she wore the poise of a queen when she was still so young.  How much difference a year had made for her.
How much it hurt to say goodbye to her twice.
“Glad she’s doing okay.”  Jigen’s voice was soft, as if intuiting everything Lupin wasn’t saying.  “She’s a good kid.”
Lupin nodded, staring down into his empty glass.  He was tempted to ask for another, but the way his mind was now, it would only lead into a dark drunken spiral, and he didn’t need the additional static in his head.  This was a conversation he needed to have sober.  “I don’t know how I’m ever gonna top it.  Cagliostro, I mean… we saved a princess, we saved a whole kingdom, we uncovered this whole conspiracy, we found the city under the lake… kinda hard to go any bigger.”
Jigen tipped his head in agreement.  “Not to mention how often you almost got yourself killed.  More than usual for you.”
Oh, if he only knew… there had been a split second, right before he and Clarisse hit the water, that he thought if he were to actually die--not just faking it for the sake of a scheme, but for real--it wouldn’t be a bad way to go.  Foiling the Count, shielding her from the impact.  Being the hero for once.
A few more drinks, and he might wonder if it was a shame the fall didn’t kill him after all.
“What haven’t we done at this point, Jigen?”  He knew how tired and pathetic he sounded and couldn’t bring himself to care.  “We’ve been on the road together for how long, and now it’s just us… what else is there left?”  He thought back to his collection of maps, how many checkmarks and X-es marked where they’d all four stayed and stolen.  How many places they could never go back thanks to bounties on their heads and warrants for their arrest, how many people they’d left behind.  It was hard keeping in touch when you were constantly moving around; so many unopened letters and dropped calls from Rebecca, Ami, Maki, Laetitia, and he’d lost track of how many others sat waiting for replies that would never come.  Before it might have felt freeing, but now it was just lonely.  Especially with Goemon and Fujiko gone and the roads ahead of them drying up.  The world felt so much hollower.
It took a few minutes for Jigen to answer.  The saxophone wailed plaintively from the bandstand as he drained the last of his scotch and sat contemplating, leaning heavily forward with his arms crossed over the table.  “You remember a couple years ago in Paris?  I told you to consider retiring now that things were getting more complicated?”
Lupin looked over at him.  “You still think I should?  Just… pack it in for good?”
Jigen gave the briefest of shrugs.  “It’s an option.  If you ever wanted to.”
It was strange to even think about now.  He’d joked about it on plenty of occasions, and Jigen had promptly barked at him to shut up and not treat the topic so lightly.  And he’d taken breaks before, usually for the sake of a woman who’d caught his eye and even once for Fujiko.  But the idea of well and truly retiring… how would he even spend it?  His grandfather had still taken undercover jobs on the side--as a tutor, a museum curator, a Minister of the Interior, even as a private detective.  That might not be a terrible idea; Lupin had rather enjoyed his last stint at solving a mystery rather than causing one.  And even if he didn’t go with that, he’d still promised that girl Marie he’d ask after her someday after she’d helped him.  He might actually have time for that now.
His father had died in a train crash that left only two survivors.  Even as a teenager watching the last car go up in smoke, Lupin had promised himself that he’d never die like that.  Every close call, every false alarm since then had simply been to head off what everyone said was inevitable at the pass.  To steal himself more time.  And now, for once, he had an abundance of it.
At least until he looked in the mirror one day and found more wrinkles under the makeup, more grey under the black.  He’d cross that bridge when he came to it.
For now, he managed a small, humorless chuckle.  “Honestly… it’s the one thing I still haven’t done yet.”
“Figured out what you wanna do?”
“Not yet.  I might stay here for a while, make a few calls until I do.”
“Well, you’re not gettin’ rid of me, I hope you know that.”
“... What?”
“You heard me.”  Jigen tipped back the brim of his hat, exposing his eyes and the total honesty therein.  “I know we’ve been having this whole farewell tour, but… where you go, I go.  I meant it then, and I mean it now.”  A few years ago, there might have been some flicker of uncertainty in his voice, as if afraid that Lupin might turn him away, but now that fear was gone, replaced with a gentle conviction.  Offering reassurance instead of asking for it.
Lupin wanted to cry.  He hadn’t even begun to plan how he would say goodbye to Jigen, even on the way to the hotel.  Nothing seemed like enough, even the wildest, tenderest night of passion before they parted ways.  Knowing his track record so far, it might have been something unremarkable, a final cigarette or meaningless conversation in an alleyway before Jigen exited one way and Lupin another.  Either way, one last goodbye in this endless series seemed inevitable.
But here was Jigen still.  Until the end of the line.  Sparing him any more.
He still felt unbearably tired, but he let that fatigue sink comfortably into him as he leaned against Jigen’s shoulder and slipped a hand into his.  “I’m glad.”

What's your headcanon of how/when Sirius and Remus got together?
summer hols before 6th year, residual healing from the willow prank. sirius realising how much he relies on and needs moony in his life - maturing a bit based off that, him visiting the lupin cottage early on. remus struggling a bit to allow himself such a bond again, as well as to trust pads entirely (and he’s equally frustrated with himself, because he already does). genuine understandings and apologies with muggle pinkie promises, both of their laughs finally matching in authenticity again. sirius’ inner-padfoot-tail wagging at the speed of light now, whenever around or interacting with moony. lyall and hope are thankful for sirius’ chance-visit once hearing their banter upstairs, remus had emotionally-reverted more than usual when he returned home. the two sleep in moony’s bed that night, despite the separate cot set up beside it. facing each other, clutching remus’ sweater, legs like devil’s snare - it’s not new for them, this is the typical nightmare regime... but being surrounded by the other’s scent, especially this close after months of separation, is almost intoxicating for their canine counterparts. very snuggly. hope thinks nothing of it, but lyall notices a significance after checking in before bed (a routine since the night remus got bit and learned to sleep on his own again: they always check when he’s asleep).
it’s a bit awkward for the boys at first, a plethora of letters are exchanged when padfoot returns to the potters’ (to which he ran away to christmas of 5th year, and both moony and wormtail visited despite the tension) - none of them romantic in nature, but the underlying energy has shifted to suggest it. their dynamic was always different from the platonic brother-type with the others, and both are becoming uncomfortably aware of this. more flushed cheeks, aching-sparks & vaguely-flirtatious comments that leave them befuddled afterwards. they don’t know how play-fighting should end anymore - but its become james tackling both to declare himself as the rightful winner, or wormtail running up cloaks to make things more interesting. distractions are easier than hair-ruffles and avoiding eye contact, their cheeks stained. remus, with his typical melancholy perspective, tries to convince himself that it’s better to neglect his feelings; he and his father's letters become more frequent, but still vague enough for comfort. sirius, when fuelled by padfoot, wants nothing more than to smother remus in licks and roll around his lap, staring at the electrifying-beauty above... but when fuelled by his own brain, feels too guilty - that remus deserves more, deserves a better friend. he wants to become better.
sirius, who already doted on moony before the prank, amplifies it tenfolds - carries remus’ books to classes that he himself isn’t even enrolled in, always having the most expensive honeydukes-sweets on hand, offers endless inexperienced-massages after moons, increasingly doing his own work just to see moony’s impressed-reactions. the list goes on. he likes making moony proud, seeing his grin - whether in admiration or incredulity, it’s the best reward. james silently recognises the new tension and, as an animagi himself, understands it as the dog-brain impacting his brother’s behaviour: padfoot wants nothing more than remus’ approval, similar to their alliance during the full moons, especially after such a huge fuckup & fragile-rekindling. he still tells sirius to tone it down a bit, reminding him that moony doesn’t like grand gestures, even more so when public... that it’s okay, remus has already forgiven him. sirius quickly remarks the same about his pursuit of evans - which barely applies given james’ lack of such gestures, plus he ‘doesn’t even fancy moony’... pushing off potential-vulnerability by changing the subject haphazardly, a habit. he doesn’t know how to show love, more-so when he doesn’t want his remus to find out. find out what? it’s all so confusing - james wasn’t suggesting that he liked remus, but does he?
remus is flustered nonetheless, and opens up to lily about his ‘merely hypothetical--or rather potential? just a slight, inconvenient matter.. although from looking from a realistic lens quite, uh, hopeless' fancy. he’s been having a lot of migraines recently and feels bad that pads is the indirect-cause, not wanting to avoid him. evans just laughs her summery-sprite laugh - the one deemed best by james - at his mumbling, while holding his shaking hands.
neither boy wants to take the next step in fear that they’ve misunderstood. remus fears the future - how they’ll get on after the war, when he’s forcibly outed, if they’ll remain friends let alone potential-lovers. sirius fears the past - how his family’s reputation of insanity may reign true when his emotions are out-of control, and that he only deserves the type of love his parents showed: abandonment. moony would never abandon him... the two continue their previous sleeping arrangements, at a slower pace - padfoot naps at the end of remus’ bed at first, then later cuddling isn’t even a question as remus initiates it.
sirius kisses moony first - it’s an accident and everything comes crashing down, he knew his reckless impulses would ruin his friendship with moony again. maybe if he had just listened to his parents, he doesn't deserve-- remus grabs his collar and kisses back, after the short brain stall on his end. they keep this secret, at moony’s request. the more attention directed his way in particular, the more that people notice things... and, as irrational as it is, remus also enjoys having sirius to himself for a change - something just between the two of them, almost a mirror to his liking with james, that’s just theirs. padfoot doesn’t care who knows, as long as moony feels as safe as he feels with him. they tell james and peter a few weeks later, once insecurities are dealt with more.
it was just a matter of time, the stars were on their side.

Chapter Seven
Three years previously
Wincing, you massaged your aching hand before you moved your quill down your piece of parchment, tapping the point of the eagle owl feather against your chin as you thought what to write next. You were writing an essay for History of Magic which was definitely the most boring subject at Hogwarts and the mention of all the blood always made you feel squeamish.
You jerked your head up when you heard footsteps approaching your desk and you sincerely hoped that it wasn’t the Slytherin girl from the other day. You smiled in relief as you saw that it was Remus. Though, you were still a little nervous around him, obviously you knew him but you didn’t really hang round with him. It was mainly because he hung around with Sirius and every time you spoke to Sirius you stuttered and blood always rushed to your cheeks. You were so hopeless around Sirius but you couldn’t help it, he was just so handsome. But, he barely thought of you as a friend.
Remus was really nice though, “hi Y/N, can I sit down?” he smiled, sitting down when you nodded, “doing homework?” he asked with a teasing grin that made you flush.
“Yeah,” you whispered, you didn’t want to get yelled at by Madam Pince, “it’s for History of Magic so it’s a wonder that I’m not asleep,” you giggled and Remus nodded understandingly.
“Oh yeah, I can imagine, it should be an interesting subject but Professor Binns has an extraordinary talent of making it so boring,” he chuckled and you noticed that he looked tired, he was ill about once every month, “do you mind if I study with you?” he asked kindly as he pulled some parchment out of his bag.
You nodded, “of course I don’t mind but thank you for asking,” you answered meekly.
To tell the truth, you didn’t actually study together, instead you both did your homework in silence, only really talking when it was necessary but you liked being in his company. At one point, you passed him your inkwell because he had run out of ink and he touched your arm ever so gently, his eyebrows knitted together as he saw the bruises that littered your arm.
“What happened Y/N?”
Biting your lip, you shook the sleeves of your robes over your hands, “I bumped into one of the Slytherin prefects and she decided to hex me. I’m not very good at standing up for myself,” you wished that you could be braver but you just couldn’t. You hoped that he wouldn’t laugh at you.
Instead he sighed, his soft hazel eyes full of sympathy, you hated it when people looked at you like that, “Y/N,” he trailed off, frowning as he looked over your shoulder.
You turned around to see what had grabbed his attention. It was Narcissa Black, a beautiful but cold girl; she was also Sirius’ cousin. Her friend Morgana was at her side and she was also very pretty. They were probably two of the most popular girls in your year and they were smirking at you. Well, Narcissa was smirking at you, Morgana looked rather bored.
“Y/L/N,” Narcissa smirked before her cold ice blue eyes flicked over to Remus, “scram Lupin, I need to have a girl talk with Y/N.”
Remus opened his mouth to argue, promptly shutting it when somebody called his name from the doorway, “god Moony, you’re always in the library!” you recognised that loud teasing voice, your heart recognised it. Casually, you looked over at Sirius and froze in place, he was so breathtakingly beautiful, “hi Y/N,” he grinned. It felt like all the air had been stolen from your lungs as he carelessly raked a hand through his messy hair.
Your face flushed as you nodded at him and turned to Remus who had been watching you with worried eyes, “I’ll be fine Remus,” you mumbled, “you can go.” Remus sighed as he gave you a quick hug, glared at the Slytherin girls as he caught up with his friends. You chewed your lip nervously as Narcissa and Morgana sat opposite you.
“Tough break about what happened between you and Rosier’s girlfriend, I was sorry to hear about it,” Narcissa started, though she didn’t look sorry as malice sparkled in her eyes, “I know that you’ve got a crush on my cousin Sirius, it’s revolting the way you look at him. A blind man could see it.”
You sighed, feeling your body go hot at the mention of his name and you knew that there was no point in trying to deny it, “yeah, and so have many other people. Have you had this conversation with all of them?” you asked, your tone was a little snarky and Narcissa obviously heard it because her eyes flashed dangerously.
“Actually, we don’t,” Morgan drawled as she inspected her nails, not even looking up at you, “because Sirius doesn’t fancy them. He fancies you.”
Your mind went blank at Morgana’s words, you didn’t know Sirius all that well but you were sure that you would know if he fancied you. Your heart soared happily for a split second, just a split second before it plummeted down to your gut as you started to question Morgana’s words, “he can get anyone he wants, and he does. He’s not shy about people he fancies either. How would you know if he fancies me anyway? You don’t really talk to him, do you?”
Narcissa sighed as she rolled her eyes, it looked as though she thought of the whole thing as tiresome, “I overheard him telling James, and besides you’re rather pretty,” she shrugged.
“Why would you tip me off about this whole thing?” you muttered, you just didn’t know why two Slytherin girls, who weren’t very nice would tip you off about Sirius.
“Because it’s like I said, its revolting seeing you pine for him so just tell him how you feel already, because he feels the same,” she smirked, “see you, Y/L/N. Good luck,” she almost floated away.
Something just didn’t add up about the fact that Narcissa had been rather pleasant to you, she had something of a reputation but finally, you decided that you didn’t care. You dawdled in the corridor, trying to take as much time as possible, nerves and excitement swarmed in your stomach and mixed together to create the most wonderful feeling. It felt like you could do anything, it felt like you could walk on air. Though, you felt like this was all too good to be true.
100% of the time you would stutter and deny it when you were paid a compliment, but you were very pretty, even if you didn’t think so, everybody else thought so. Everybody who knew you had a crush on Sirius – and mostly everyone knew, you were so obvious – all thought that you deserved better.
With a slightly manic grin on your face, you climbed through the portrait hole, ready to confess your feelings. When you walked into the common room, your stomach filled with anxiety, you wanted those wonderful butterflies back, and you felt sick. Lily looked at you with wide green eyes and Remus chewed his lip, his eyes on the floor. Trying to hold your tears back, you glanced away from your friends, looking at the scene that was unfolding before you.
Sirius was very passionately snogging some random girl, right in the middle of the common room, on your favourite armchair, “Sirius,” you muttered, though you didn’t mean for his name to escape your mouth.
To your horror, the beautiful boy heard you and pulled away from the girl with a horrible sucking sound. Sirius grinned at you while the girl rolled her eyes and shot you a venomous glare, “how are you love?” he asked and you wished that he wasn’t so handsome.
You wished that you could just turn your feelings off but you knew that you weren’t the only girl who had had their heart broken by him. You supposed that he was making fun of you when he had told James that he had feelings for you.
“How  could you?” you whimpered, pretty much running out of the common room, not caring that quite a lot of people saw you. You ignored Alice and Lily’s call of your name. You had never known such pain in all your fourteen years of life, why would he do this?
Because you had just run out of the common room, you obviously couldn’t hear the conversation that was going on inside it, “Merlin, she is so weird,” the girl giggled before leaning in to kiss Sirius again.
His eyes flashed angrily as he backed away from her, “you need to leave. Right now,” the girl scoffed at his demand, “no, I mean it. Y/N is not weird, she’s wonderful, and she’s my friend.”
----------------------------------------------
Sirius rounded the corner at high speed, ignoring the amused flirtatious glances he was receiving as he ran a hand through his tangled hair; he’d fool around with someone later on. Remus panted as he almost had to jog to keep up with his best friend.
“Merlin, Sirius. Would you slow down? I know that you want to ask Lily about Y/N, but come on!” he grumbled and Sirius shot a smirk at him over his shoulder.
“C’mon on Moons, you’re not getting old on me are you?” finally, Sirius spotted Lily walking down the hallway with Alice, James was walking on the other side of Lily, looking at her adoringly, she looked very bored. Peter was at an extra study session because he was failing Potions, “Evans! Oi, Evans!” the pretty redhead looked up and rolled her eyes.
“What the hell do you want Sirius? Get lost by the way Potter,” she raised an eyebrow while Alice sighed. Sirius chuckled as James winked at him and he walked over to join Sirius and Remus.
“Is Y/N okay? I hardly see her anymore!” they weren’t very good friends but Sirius still missed her.
Lily sighed, “she’s fine, she’s just studying really hard. But I’ll tell her that you were asking after her,” she made to walk off but Sirius stopped her.
“Please, Lily. The only time I ever see her anymore is either in class or at mealtimes and even then she won’t speak to me. And, in the evenings she’s already up in the dormitories,” he gnawed at his lip, feeling guilty. He hoped that he hadn’t done anything to hurt her feelings; Y/N was really sweet.
Lily smirked at him but her green eyes looked angry as they flashed at him, “wow, you’re actually concerned about someone other than yourself, has hell frozen over? Maybe she just doesn’t like you, can’t say that I blame her. Catch you never,” she strode back down the hallway, arm in arm with Alice.
James sighed wistfully as he looked at her retreating back, “she’s so wonderful. How I wish she was mine.”
Sirius scowled at both Lily’s words and his best friends reaction to them, “c’mon Remus, James we have a free period, hopefully she’ll be in the common room,” Sirius climbed the staircase, taking two steps at a time.
“No, I don’t think that’s such a good idea, really Sirius. Maybe we should just leave her be,” Remus tried to reason with him and James agreed.
“He’s right Pads, if she’s not talking to you it must be for a reason,” James sighed, hurrying to keep up.
“And, I’m going to find out what that reason is,” he dismissed his friends words; he had to know what was going on with her and apologise if he needed to.
When the three boys entered the common room, they discovered that Y/N was sitting by the fire, engrossed on the book she was reading. Sirius cleared his throat, ruffling his hair nervously as Y/N looked up, politely startled. Her pretty eyes lingered on Sirius for a second before she looked at Remus and James, her face breaking out into a warm smile. There was no trace of the usual nervousness in her smile.
“Hi boys,” her voice was a little louder than usual and as she closed her book and stood up, it seemed like she was standing taller.
“Uh, hi. We just wanted to check in on you, we have hardly seen you in ages, Y/N,” Sirius started.
She shrugged, “I’ve just been studying, I want to have a future after Hogwarts you know,” she smirked.
Sirius was so confused; she wasn’t acting like her usual self, “are you okay? You’re not acting at all like yourself,” Remus sounded just as confused as Sirius felt.
“Oh don’t mind them Y/N,” James smirked, “I like you like this, no offense.”
“None taken James,” she winked at him before looking at Remus again, “I’ve grown up quite quickly in the past couple of months, I hated being meek and obedient, it didn’t feel like me,” she strolled over to Remus and kissed his cheek, “thanks for checking on me though,” she smiled at James, ruffling his hair. She hardly spared a glance at Sirius. Remus’ cheeks flushed as he looked at his best friend.
By the look of it, he didn’t understand what was going on any more than Sirius did. James just looked like he was having a great time.

All in the Family
Chapter 21: The Burrow
It was a homey kitchen, that was the first immediate apparent thing. Even after they'd all landed it didn't seem to disturb the already hectic nature of the place any.
The stove was still full of the warm smells of a feast of a breakfast, to which the Marauders at once began helping themselves to. Dishes in the sink were scrubbing themselves to a polish, and someone had left a deck of self shuffling cards on the counter, just above a drawer filled with all sorts of Muggle things Frank wasn't sure of. He thought that may have been a battery peeking out, but wasn't positive.
There were over a dozen chairs scattered about the room, all of various types, a careworn cloak hung over one at the head of the table which was oblong, with a few burn marks imprinted in the wood, and some things carved into the legs, initials perhaps. Hanging proudly in the center of the wall behind this was something resembling a clock, but instead of two, it carried nine hands, and no numbers were present, instead such things as 'work,' 'school,' and, 'mortal peril' were around the face. Strangely, the hands weren't pointed at any of those, but all trailing aimlessly about the circle, the clockwork as lost in time as they were.
Fighting back a shiver so as not to think of that, he put his attention out the window, his eyes skipping right past a wilted feather duster, where a hedge hinted at a garden just out the backdoor, and what could be a chicken coop paces away from that, with gentle hills rolling on for miles beyond this.
Despite being stuffed to the brim in this tiny room, Frank was amazed how open it all felt. He couldn't help but compare it to his own kitchen at home, where his Mum had everything perfectly outlined for its place, four mirrored straight chairs around one symmetrical square table. Even the lake he could see from a very similar window was usually steal gray, the wide expanse looking more threatening with its deep waters.
He looked down when someone gently took his hand and was unsurprised to find Alice, a stack of marmalade and toast in her hands she'd braved from the depths of the Marauders hogging the food. He couldn't help but grin lovingly at her, bending down to give her a kiss on the temple before beginning to nibble on his breakfast as the older Black began. They had no idea why a Burrow would be mentioned, wasn't that were animals slept? At this rate though they truly wouldn't put anything past the ability of Potters kid getting into something.
The two tried to sit on the ledge in the early morning sunlight, but disturbed the feather duster, which came to life as an aged owl, ruffling his feathers at them and blinking slowly. Alice offered him a bit of toast, and he accepted this in his beak before hobbling to a perch. Frank reached over and pet it for a few moments in thoughtful silence.
Between ripping up bacon and shoving that into his mouth, Sirius eagerly kept going with the now lively story of the Weasley's arriving, especially those twins! What brilliance they were, knowing how to pick muggle locks!
Of course Harry's escape couldn't be all fun, Vernon had to come and muck everything up, but honestly picturing the look on his face was almost worth all that had happened. Didn't stop any of them from hoping Harry never had to go back to that Muggle dwelling.
Lily couldn't help but think the same, just silently, to herself at the far end of the room. She was trying very hard to resist the sausages sizzling away in protest that this wasn't their house! They shouldn't just be helping themselves to anything they liked! Frank and Alice weren't helping, even Regulus was picking over some eggs.
She'd already tried to leave from the room to stop further temptation, but found all ways out of the room barred. Just behind her, she was sure that was a washing din with a room beyond that, and at the other end was a crooked staircase leading to more. A promising swinging door even could have led off to a living room, or she even would have preferred to go out into the garden. Nothing, all blocked like always.
So now she was forced to listen in protest of the Weasley's catching Harry up to speed while he in turn told them of why mail wasn't going around. The idea that it was Malfoy's house-elf was, realistic, but even she couldn't see Malfoy doing something so stupid as to try stopping Harry getting back to school by using his elf as a prank. Besides, she was sure of Dobby's sincereness, the warning he'd given.
"Awkward," Peter stage whispered when they reached Ron's home, the house they were presumably in, and Mrs. Weasley came out to at once give her kids a stern dressing down.
"Makes me real grateful to my parents," James agreed with a chuckle as he speared another fried egg and shoved it in his mouth whole. He still had his eyes on Evans the whole time, as usual, and was growing worried about her. He hadn't seen her eat anything since this started, and they'd been at it for hours by their own internal clock he was sure. So he grabbed a plate of fried potatoes and tomatoes and made his way over to her. At first she just narrowed her eyes and glared away from him, clearly more annoyed than anything he somehow knew her favorite breakfast.
"Here," he dug a galleon out of his pocket and left it purposefully on the table. "Will you please eat something now?" He offered her the fork and plate.
"I don't need your money, or pity," she snapped.
"I'm not offering you that," he agreed, wafting the plate as near her nose as he could. "I'm offering you some delicious food that's just hanging around this kitchen that Harry's certainly eating away."
"He was invited here, we were not," she grumbled, but her resolve was wavering as much as her mouth was watering. She'd skipped lunch to do a Transfiguration essay she was behind on, and she really was hungry...
"I'm listening to the fact that she had no more clue Harry was arriving than he did, and yet she dumped a plate of food on him. I'm sure if they were here this second we'd be offered the same while explaining ourselves," he wheedled.
By this point in the book they'd already finished breakfast, and the kids were going to do a punishment of de-gnoming the garden. There was no telling where they'd end up next, and it was being made perfectly clear how welcome Harry was here...surely that would extend to just one plate of food on her part...she made the mistake of glaring at him, determined he'd walk away, but was caught off guard by the sincerity of his concern. She usually didn't take the time to bother reading his face, she was usually to busy giving it the pure disdain it deserved for picking on every student in that school, especially her best friend. Her guard was down though, without Sev around, and for the first time she realized he had hazel eyes. Very open, wide eyes that were currently a genuine peace offering for some food.
Without even realizing she was doing it, she accepted the plate. The brilliant smile lighting his face was like none she'd ever seen before, from lips that usually were just throwing curses around. What was even more spinning than that was, he walked away. He didn't pester her anything further; brag he'd known this would work or point out he'd known what she would like, offer her a seat at the table, or even compliment her. He just went back to his friends, who had somehow wrangled Regulus into their conversation of bragging about how far they'd managed to throw gnomes, which apparently were out in the Forbidden Forest. She stabbed a potato and chewed slowly while looking back out the window, her mind scoffing at her caving like this while her stomach happily rumbled to shut up and enjoy.
Mr. Weasley turned out to be a delight, Sirius hadn't even known about the Muggle things around the house! He stopped pestering Regulus to give details of why he'd been in the Forest at any time and got up to go inspect the drawers, Frank watching him rummage through them without care suddenly making him understand why Evans had been so put off with their helping themselves to food. Clearly the Marauders were growing braver by thinking they could do anything they liked around here, though he was personally sure they'd be the same way no matter what the situation. He seemed as delighted as Arthur to find such things in here and called Lupin over to him to have a few things explained, abandoning the book in the middle of Mrs. Weasley chastising her husband for that car.
It took his friends several tries to convince him to leave the lot and finish, but his enthusiasm had vanished Regulus' good mood, he was looking about this house with such pure disgust they could have been back in Privet Drive. It made Frank a bit sad, how conditioned that kid must be to hate all things that weren't like his family, to even hate another pureblood family simply because they enjoyed Muggle things.
"I wish we could see Ron's room, and the twins room, and the rest of this place," Alice quietly said beside him, her eyes on the ceiling with curiosity.
"Perhaps we shall," Frank offered without much enthusiasm, personally he was just hoping this madness would end before they wound up trapped somewhere much less hospitable. That Devil's Snare was still weighing on his mind, and he already had a bad feeling this Potter kids life wasn't going to get much better from there, even if this chapter did end rather nicely for once.

Chapter 22: // Chapter 24
Tumblr media
I open my eyes slowly, a ray of light is reflected near my face, I stretch my body and my senses begin to awaken. My arms feel heavy, I have a knot in my stomach and I’m exhausted, as if I had not slept well.
I look around me and it's confusing to see that I'm not in my room. I’m in the infirmary.
"What?" I to sat up on the stretcher.
"Oh, it was time for you to wake up, Miss Singh," says Miss Pomfrey.
“Time? I- Madame Pomfrey…” I say with a raspy voice
The nurse comes up with a tray, puts it on the table next to me and hands me a glass of water.
"How do you feel?"
“Tired…" Despite having taken water, I still feel a tickle in my throat, and I tell her.
"Surely it’s the start of a cold, something normal if we count that you were submerged in ice water.”
I frown and suddenly all memories come at a high speed. Trixie, Felix Felicis, the Marauders and the Black Lake.
"How long have I been here?"
"Five days. Don't worry, that is also normal, I gave you several potions to avoid any infection or other reaction, but for now you should only take this.”
She hands me another glass and I don't hesitate to drink the dark liquid quickly. I wince and return the glass to her.
"I'm glad you’re awake now, I was tired of pushing all your friends out of here, especially young Black– that boy doesn't know what a no is…” She grumbles and my heart beams at it, I can't help but smile. "Every day he was asking for you, thanks to Merlin they are now in class.”
"Will I be able to go to my room soon?"
“You’ll only stay this day and night, tomorrow you’ll be back in your bed, your teachers are aware of your situation as well and after this weekend you’ll be able to go to classes," She grabs the tray.
"Thank you very much,” She nods and leaves.
There are hardly any complaints or snores from the few students who accompany me in the infirmary, but it’s not something that bothers me. The same silence calms me and I decide to close my eyes to sleep a few more hours.
–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––
"Yes, of course, she has already woken up, but I warn you, if you make a lot of scandal, I will kick you out, you have been warned.”
Madame Pomfrey's complaints wake me up again, and then I hear footsteps until someone draws the curtain of my space.
The marauders along with Lily and Jenna smile when they see me, I reciprocate with a sleepy smile. The first to run to me is Jenna and she wraps me in a clumsy hug and then helps me sit up.
"Glad to see you alive, P,” She says sitting next to me. I laugh slightly.
"I'm glad too,” My voice is still quite hoarse, I expect it will worn out after I while
"How you feel?" Lily asks.
"Better, Pomfrey says I will have a cold, but nothing serious."
Sirius walks to the other side of the bed and drags a stool to get closer, all his movements make him look like a small child. Peter stands behind Sirius, James steps to Lily's side, and the last member stays away from everyone, like a fearful puppy.
"I guess you want to know what happened after you fell into the lake," says James raising an eyebrow. I nod and he smiles, glancing at Sirius, who shifts uncomfortably. “Paddie here,” He points out, "I have never seen him run so fast in my life…”
Everyone looks at Sirius and he runs a hand through his hair. "I wasn’t going to let you drown," He looks at me. "Anyone would have… you know, saved you.” He clears his throat. I can't help but smile at his nervousness.
"I took care the devil, she didn’t run away," James continues proudly.
"Is she the devil now?" The others look down in embarrassment, except Sirius and James.
"You were right about Trixie," says Lily. "I'm very sorry, Persephone." Someone scoffs, “–And Sirius, we should’ve believed you from the beginning…”
"Sorry, P. she really seemed like a good girl."
"You are forgiven, that was all part of her plan.”
"That reminds me," says Lily, approaching and then hitting my shoulder. "What you did was so dangerous! Who would think of wandering around school at dawn, I don't understand how Filch didn't see you?"
I press my lips and play with the hem of my blanket.
"Yeah, I guess it was luck," I say nervously.
Suddenly Sirius gets up from his chair and points to me.
"You used Felix Felicis!" He exclaims.
"Mister Black!" Poppy yells from afar.
"Sorry!" Sirius answers and sits down again.
Jenna looks surprised.
"Explain yourself now, Young Lady.”
I roll my eyes.
"I just wanted to make a plan so that everyone knew her true intentions, then I remembered the potion, the rest was... luck." I feel another punch to my shoulder, but now on Jenna's side. "Stop hitting the sick girl!" I complain trying to don't hurt my throat.
"Great move, Singh,” says James, I just smile at him.
"The good news," says Sirius, "is that the devil was cast out. Apparently your luck continued and Mcgonagall saw that Trixie threatened you, in the end she had to tell the truth, in addition to telling the reason why she changed schools,” He raises his eyebrows looking at me with amusement.
"She got a teacher and a few students in trouble for setting a whole tower on fire," adds Jenna.
"Does it sound familiar to you?" Sirius and I laugh.
Lily gives me her notes and some books so I won't be so behind, and offers to help me when I can be in my room. Jenna brings us up to date on the gossip and the marauders take it upon themselves to add a few pranks.
But after a few minutes, everyone falls silent and I focus my attention on Remus Lupin, who’s leaning against the wall. The rest notice the tension.
"I guess they need a moment alone," says Lily.
"But-" Sirius wants to complain, but James tugs on his shirt to pick him up. Only Remus and I were left.
The boy is nervous, but slowly sits down on the seat where Sirius was.
"I'm not going to eat you, Remus,” I say to break the silence. His gaze remains low, it seems that the fabric of my sheet is more interesting. “Wolfie?”
That catches his eye and he finally looks at me. His eyes are watery.
"After all I said and did, how can you keep calling me that?"
"You don't like the nickname?" I know it's not what he expected to hear, but I want to make him suffer a little.
"Persephone, I-" He stirs uncomfortably. "I don't know where to start."
I slide my hand up to take his and give it a little squeeze.
"I'm not mad, Remus. It never was, not with you.”
"Why? I was terrible and said things that…” He sighs. “I do not understand.”
"Trixie just played with you, Remus. It is what she does with other people, I knew that something was wrong and what you said in the gardens, it did hurt, but I also knew that you were angry, everything got out of control, but at least it's over.”
Everything’s true, Trixie is an expert manipulator and I knew that Remus was only part of her trick, I am more angry with her than with him.
"I'm so sorry Percy,” Remus says, tearing up.
"Oh, come here, you idiot.”
His arms wrap around me and we hug for a while.
"Still, you must pay all those times you left me hanging," I say when we break apart. And he nods, wiping his face.
“Sorry…”
"Yes, I also expect many of those," I add.
"I'll do anything, I'm sorry, I should have believed you. Sirius too, I can't believe I let myself be manipulated by that girl…”
"It's not your fault.”
"It is, you couldn't understand it, I was weak, I should have seen it!”
"No one could, Remus. When I met her I also fell. I thought she could be my best friend, but what really matters is that she can't hurt you anymore.”
"Thanks for taking care of me, Percy," he says with a big smile.
"It is a pleasure.”
Dumbledore and Mcgonagall walk in, interrupting us.
"Glad to see you, Miss Singh," Dumbledore begins, and I wince.
"I am in trouble?"
"We will discuss that," says Mcgonagall, and I beg Remus to get me out of there, but he mouths ‘I'm sorry’, and then leaves me alone.
Here we go.
––––––––––––––––––––––––––––
"Do you need anything else, P? I don't want to leave you alone.”
"Jenna, you haven't left me alone since I was able to leave the infirmary, go kiss Marlene or something," I complain, then sneeze into my handkerchief. “It's only a cold, I won’t die.”
“You're no longer lucky, you’re probably dying of a cold now!" She scoffs.
"Very funny, come on, go to Hogsmeade and bring me treats."
She rolls her eyes.
"It will only take a while and I'll bring you a soup.”
"But I want sweets!"
"When you get better."
"How boring,” I cross my arms and pout like a little girl.
Jenna leaves the room and I sigh as I settle into my bed. I appreciate all the care from Jenna and Lily, but they haven't left me alone at all, it was a miracle that Marlene and Alice were able to get them out to Hogsmeade. I almost hugged them for saving me, if it wasn't because I could make them sick.
These days I have only read and done some homework, but I managed to distract myself, I didn’t give it much importance, the teachers knew about my state, I don’t think they’ll so rude, also Mcgonagall is proud of me for having done something so heroic. Although I didn’t like the part where I got points taken. Slughorn, who is the real Head of our house, barely found out what happened, and told me not to worry, after all, I am his best student.
The door opens and closes without me knowing who it is.
"Jenna?" No one answers, but I hear footsteps approaching, then extra weight on the side of my bed. I turn and see a huge black dog leaning on my mattress.
"Sirius?" The dog tilts its head slightly and sticks its tongue out. I laugh when he reaches for my hand forcing me to caress him. "I don't want to know how you managed to get here," he replies with a bark.
I shake my head, grinning.
"Shouldn't you be with the others?" He barks again and walks backwards a bit as if he's about to jump. "Oh no, don't even think about it, you’re a huge dog, you can't fit here!"
The dog watches me for a few seconds and then moves away. He enters the bathroom and then returns in his human form.
"How boring you are," he says with a lopsided smile.
I roll my eyes and sneeze again. Sirius approaches and sits at the end of the bed leaning against a pillar.
"You don't look very good.”
"Since we clarify the obvious, why are you here?"
He shrugs, but his gaze drifts for a few seconds.
"I didn't really want to go to Hogsmeade.”
"And is it better to be with a sick girl?" I raise my brow.
"It's funny to hear your hoarse voice, very sexy,” his eyes widen when he realizes what he said and I laugh when I see his flushed face. "No- I didn't want to–”
"I never thought I could live long enough to see Sirius Black embarrassed while trying to flirt."
"I don’t–" He clears his throat. "I'm not flirting with you.”
“Clearly.”
Seeing him in that state is a lot of fun. If I weren't on medication, maybe I would be embarrassed too.
"Anyway, don't get too excited, Singh," He complains, but I can see a slight smile. We were silent for a few minutes, until he spoke once more, “Juno has not come to see you?"
I sigh and grimace.
"Jenna told her I was sick, but she didn't care.”
I’m disappointed and hurt by my older sister's actions, but I'm also not surprised.
"And Regulus?"
“I haven't seen him either.”
Sirius frowns. "He's been acting weird lately."
"What do you mean?" I ask sitting up.
"I'm not sure, he's usually with you or even with other Slytherin students, but now I see him closer to Rosier and others who don't seem like good people."
I remember Evan's interruption before my plan.
"It looks like they are planning something, hasn't he said anything to you?"
I shake my head.
"You must talk to him," I tell him.
"I don't think it's a good idea, I'm not his favorite person.”
“Sirius, please. Maybe he is in trouble and right now I can't help him,” I say, reaching for his hand.
He looks at me surprised at my tone, but in the end he sighs.
"Fine, but I don't guarantee anything.” Sirius looks down at our hands and frowns. "You're freezing,” He then holds the other one.
"Pomfrey said it was normal,” I say a little nervous. He comes closer and touches my cheek.
"Are you still cold?"
"A little," I whisper.
His eyes show concern, but then he realizes our closeness and his hands tremble.
"I-I better get back, your- your classmates won't be out for long…”
“Okay…”
“Uh– you… will you be alright?"
“I'll survive.”
He nods and then gets up.
"See you later," he says and leaves the room.
Okay, maybe the potions are not that strong, and maybe they’re not causing my heart to be pounding.

The Yule Devil (Chronicles of Darkness)
Merry Christmas to those of you who celebrate and happy (and safe) holidays to all!
Krampus
The Forsaken know little about who Krampus was before he became the creature he is today. The Iron Masters say he was an occultist whose mind broke during his first change, causing him to obsess over the Krampus legend. The Bone Shadows claim he was a promising young wolf before a rite-gone-wrong left him Claimed. The Hunters in Darkness think Krampus was flat out twisted, even before his First Change. The Banshees insist he is a bodhisattva, sent by Luna to test and antagonize lesser wolves. The Blood Talons whisper about Bale Wolves.
What they do know is that this werewolf styles itself after the infamous Christmas Devil and that it is barely Uratha anymore. Krampus is a punishment-obsessed Ghost Wolf Tyrant who collects sinners as part of s fiefdom. Worse, it’s also a Hive-Claimed Sorcerer, wielding spiritual powers that other werewolves consider blasphemy. The Storm Lords whisper that some members of its cult were not forced into service but willingly allied with Krampus to learn the Claiming rituals themselves.
Despite Krampus’ blatant affront to everything the Forsaken hold dear, he maintains a firm grasp on the region he claims as his own. Part of this is undoubtedly his fearsome (and well earned) reputation and the fief’s fanatic loyalty, but it goes deeper. Krampus hates the Pure as much as any Forsaken and his domain act as a buffer zone, a no-wolf’s-land that enemy packs refuse to enter, thus keeping the peace. The other reality is that Krampus is a skilled ritemaster, and more than a few Uratha owe him favours for services and knowledge rendered.
Even in Hishu, Krampus barely passes as human. Beyond the considerable bulk Hive-Claiming added to his body, he possesses goat horns and feet. These mutations carry over into his lupine forms, making them a horrid, fleshy mishmash that doesn’t quite fit together rather than true wolves. He has long since abandoned his human identity and barely even remembers his own name.

1000 episodes of yugioh
With the first 6 series(Not counting season 0 or capsule monsters), total episode count is at 972. Sevens is currently at 11/12 episodes. So just 16/17 episodes left for the 1000th overall episode.
It's been a wild ride, and I'm happy I have been able to be on it up to now. There were times I left, and times I came back. But my love for the series and game is eternal.
As many others, I grew up with the dub of Duel Monsters. Being a child you don't tend to think too much about the dubbing, and obviously they did it right enough to hook people. That being said the dub has had some significant issues during the run, namely skipping two series last bit of episodes. Fortunately, since Zexal they have finished each(Haven't checked on vrains but I'm sure they will finish it too). Other issues become more preference based. Such as voice acting and story changes(Mainly done to make it more kid friendly). At the very least many can find comfort in the hilarious dubbing changes, be it because of the actual jokes or the absurdity of it all.
I didn't start watching subs until 5D's, which ironically I only did because of the dub for that series. Like with GX, they never finished dubbing it. Being invested and wanting to know how it ends I decided to watch the subs. Which opened up a whole new world for me. As for GX, I was able to see weekly pics of each episode while it aired in Japan, do not finishing the dub at the time then wasn't an issue.
5D's itself opened me up. As with many, my first reaction of the series was "card games on motorcycles? The fuck is this?". So I didn't actually watch it right away. It wasn't until they started airing the dub in canada(which was probably a month or so behind the us) that I actually sat down and watched an episode. But the moment I started watching I was hooked and started watching every week again. Now, it might have helped that this was early in the series still, during the time in The Facility. Where the first duel was against either Bolt or the prison guard. Both of which didn't use Speed Dueling and I think the only Synchro was from the guard. Even still, I wasn't put off by Speed Dueling or Synchros when I started seeing them.
Enter Zexal and history repeats. First reaction was "Nope!", and I was back on judging before watching. But it didn't take too long for me to decided to watch it. I think I started when 20th so episode had aired in Japan. So i had 20 episodes to binge, and binge I did. Hooked after the first episode. At that point i realized, maybe I like the series overall and shouldn't just close myself off to it because of petty reasons. And boy am I glad I decided to watch Zexal.
Not only did my love for the anime get renewed permanently, but I also started buying cards again...maybe a bit too many. I also decided to watch all the previous series again(Again season 0), all in subs. So I got to see the entirety of GX for the first time, as well as see the original content for DM. And from Zexal to Vrains, I have basically been watching a new episode each week. And it's been amazing(I do have to still finish Vrains though. Pretty sure I'm at Soulburning vs Revolver take 2, so not many left, also know what happens from then to end, but still want to finish watching, just been putting it off...for a while). Sadly, the anime went on a bit of a break at the end of Vrains(6 months I think?), so I didn't have my weekly dose of yugioh(at least for the show, I have friends that I dueled a bit).
As for the actual game. As I said, I bought a lot of cards...like...a lot. At the time i was working at a dollar store that had 10 card repackaged packs for 1 dollar(plus tax). So I bought a bunch of those. Obviously, they weren't amazing cards but they were from more recent sets(Zexal era), so getting no normal monsters was nice. I did go overboard though. Probably got at least 150 packs in total from there during my time. Which means 1500 cards. Eventually I wanted better cards and at first went to places like walmart(big mistake, cost more), then I found an actual card shop. I still was going overboard though, heck I've been over boarding it for like 5 years now I think. Now I don't know how many cards I actually have but I'm 99% sure it's over 10000 so...yah. I choose to not think about the money. I have decided to cut back this year though(Which actually was easier than I expected, albeit a global pandemic probably did help a bunch). Even still, I have 20 decks I'm focused on right now(Was at least 40 before, probably even 60), so it's still a bit but...I like the cards...I can't help myself.
I could go on and on. Like how watching Zexal helped kept me going in life, or how I love each series and will forever have sold my sold to the card devil. But I'll leave it there.
I plan to continue to watch the series to come and play the game with whatever changes that are made. Seen first few episodes of Sevens and I enjoy it so far, gotta continue though(And finish Vrains!). I am glad there is no new Summon method this time though(Although I want a red type of card(I still don't get why Links were done blue)). I think the game is at a good point with different methods, feel adding new ways to duel is more ideal(Although I'm not interested in Speed Duels or Rush Duels). Regardless, I'm still very much in love with this franchise, probably only being beaten in love by Pokemon but even then it's close. So thanks Yugioh for all the great times :)
P.S. I'm still waiting for a fuckingbwold archetype, even a werewolf archetype would do, or even a series. But Aloof Lupine is a great wolf so thanks for that at least(And Performapal Silver Claw).

Unlisted Fandom Challenge - Update
Today's Unlisted Fandom Challenge update brings you not just the leaderboard, but the WHOLE LIST of write-in fandoms - yes, all 136 of them. Five new fandoms joined the list (historical/artist RPF, The Goblin Emperor, The Scum Villain's Self-Saving System, Vorkosigan Saga,  and Witch Hat Atelier), but so far, nothing has been able to challenge Gundam Wing for the top spot. Lucifer, did, however, snag another entry and move up a rank. The full list is under the cut
Separate posts  a bit later this evening will give the details on how signups are going for the listed fandoms (spoiler, Sherlock is still on top of the game), and info on the supported orgs and overall signup numbers.
There's just ONE day left to sign up! Still time to knock Gundam Wing out of the lead and get your fandom onto the leaderboard.

45 Ways to Make a Werewolf Fall for You (part 33/45)
A necessary milestone. :3
Chapter 33: "Road trips with friends" [FFN] [AO3] | ←   → | start from the beginning
Pairings/Characters: Sirius Black/Remus Lupin, James Potter/Lily Evans, Peter Pettigrew, with cameos from the Order & some OCs -w-
Rating: K
Words: ~2,490
Additional info: romance, slash, Marauder era, 3rd person POV
Summary: The Marauders, in the prime of their lives, from the last day they set foot at Hogwarts all the way to a reunion thirteen years nearly too late. *Remus/Sirius-centric, relatively canon-compliant, for all of us who would like Remmius to have their happy ending—enjoy your fluff here! Ch33: James and Lily take care of necessary business in the company of family and friends.
"So, where the heck are we going?" Remus shouted from behind Sirius.
"You'll see!" James answered, his voice full of laughter.
Sirius struggled to maintain a good grip on his broom's handle, considering the speed at which they were flying to try and keep up with James and Lily. It was a breezy February afternoon, one that felt a whole lot more like spring than winter. Actually, the dawning of the spring of 1980 appeared to have turned up a little earlier on schedule than usual—not that anyone was complaining. But, sunshine or cold—no one was meant to fly on a broom for almost three hours straight.
"Why couldn't we have just Apparated?" Sirius whined, choking on his hair as it whipped in his face over and over.
"That would take the fun out of it!" Lily screamed, a smile similar to James' painted on her face. As she was on James' broom with him, she pressed her body a little more tightly against his and tightened her grip around his waist. It was as though Lily had traded brains with someone else for the day!
Remus pulled his broom up alongside Sirius, and they exchanged a look. Whatever James and Lily were getting them into, it was unlikely to be the safest of bets. After all, James had been working on corrupting Lily, and, if today was any measure of success…
Even at these high speeds, Peter's stomach growled so loudly on the other side of James that the other four heard it, and the group of friends howled with laughter. "Don't laugh at me! I skipped brunch since you said you'd feed me!" the blond squeaked at the ringleader.
"Soon enough, Wormtail," James reassured him. He dropped his gaze below them for a moment. "Ah, speak of the devil, we're just about there!"
Lily, too, looked down, and she positively beamed. "They're already here!"
"Who?!" Remus and Sirius asked in conjunction.
They were forced to follow James and Lily down without an answer. At one point they almost lost sight of James, for his landing was swift and soft, partly in thanks to his Quidditch days. But they caught up to him just as their feet touched the ground. James hadn't even stopped before Lily had hopped off and run towards a woman and man who bore a little resemblance to their redheaded Gryffindor.
Remus blinked while Sirius just stared at the sight. "Oh," the werewolf said, surprised.
"Who—?" Sirius began again, but then he noticed that the man had Lily's green eyes, and the woman had Lily's red hair. They were Lily's parents.
"Welcome to the family," James quipped to his best mates as he pocketed his broom and went over to shake Lily's father's hand and take a large bear hug from her mother.
"I'm Rosemary Evans," Lily's mother said, shaking the boys' hands.
"I'm Lawrence Evans," Lily's father provided, also shaking their hands.
"Lily, why don't we go?" Rosemary asked her daughter.
"Go where? We just got here," Sirius said, unable to keep a hint of annoyance from leaking into his tone.
James took a step towards his friends, and his shirt and denims Transfigured into a nice set of wizard's robes. "Well, see, that's the thing…"
"OH, MY GODRIC, YOU'RE GETTING MARRIED?!"
Remus rolled his eyes. "I love how you grasp that faster than Lily's parents…"
Sirius stuck his tongue out at his love and then glared at James. "Why didn't you tell us? Why didn't you tell me?"
"We wanted to plan it in secret," James answered, his smile dropping a bit. "Besides, Dumbledore said nothing too flashy. We've gotta keep a low profile, Pads. We didn't know about Alice and Frank either, remember?"
"But you're my best mate," the Black son groused, trying to sound angry but only sounding lame and defeated.
James gave him a sad smile and leaned his arms on Sirius' shoulders, leaning their foreheads together. "We're brothers, Sirius, you know that. It's why I want you to be my best man." James peeked around him at Remus. "You don't mind, do you, Moony?"
"Not at all," Remus replied with a grin.
The Potter son looked back to Sirius. "Then what do you say, Sirius? Can I get married now? And will you be my best man?"
Sirius gaped at James. In one minute, he'd gone from being suspicious to being upset to being angry to being mopey, and he was pretty much going to stay mopey for now. He hugged the life out of James. "Of course, you stupid twit. Why wouldn't I be?"
                "Good. Then get changed!"
                "But I don't have—"
"I'm sure Remus can figure out the spell if I could," James stated, gesturing to his own clothes. "I leave Sirius in your hands, Moony."
                "Of course," the werewolf answered.
"No, I leave Sirius in your hands, Moony."
Remus furrowed his brow. "James, I—"
James waved to both of them before walking off and not explaining what he meant. Sirius looked at Remus. "I guess the only thing to do now is to get our wedding on, right?"
Remus laughed a little. "Yeah…but not in denims and jumpers."
As Remus helped Sirius and Peter change into wizard's robes, Sirius picked at his brain for the right words for his speech. After all, wasn't that kind of the point of him being the best man, to make the toast at the reception? Wait, were James and Lily having a reception? What if it was more like a little "Okay, thanks for coming, see you at the next Order meeting" kinda thing? Or what if they decided to take a couple days off? Sirius had heard of wedding celebrations dragging out into days—they did that in some countries, you know. Did they do that in England? Sirius couldn't remember; he hadn't been married.
Which only served to bring up a new problem: He and Remus still hadn't said anything to James and Lily about their relationship. What if it slipped out in his speech, Sirius comparing his relationship with Remus to the one between James and Lily? Oh, Merlin, that would be bad. Especially with their few friends from school and the Order coming by Portkey. Interestingly enough, Lily's sister wasn't there, and Lily mentioned that Petunia wanted to have nothing to do with "a bastardization of matrimony between freaks." Huh, what a weirdo. Them, the freaks? Anyone wanting to keep away from a magical ceremony was a freak… Not as much of a freak as Dung Fletcher, who had just arrived in a really horrid-looking fuchsia shirt and fluorescent orange pants with purple polka dots and… Oh, yeah, what had Sirius been thinking about? Oh, his best man's speech, right…
"Sirius, are you all right?" Remus stared at his love for a brief minute.
"Uh, fine, fine…" Sirius pecked his cheek and grinned at the lovely shade of scarlet the brunet turned. "Ah, much better."
It really was a small wedding, but…it suited all that James and Lily were. Both of them had their parents there, and Dumbledore actually officiated their vows, much to everyone's amazement. He could do so according to his Order of Merlin or something like that…Sirius half listened to that part.
But it was very nice. Sirius was James' best man, with Remus and Peter as his groomsmen. Mary was Lily's maid-of-honor, with Alice as her only other bridesmaid; they placed two small bouquets on the ground where Dorcas and Marlene would've stood, had they still been alive. Their few friends just stood near the bridal parties, and, once the ceremony was over, the groups interspersed while munchies weaved their way in and out of the crowd. Dumbledore did not stay very long, as he needed a word with Mad-Eye and McGonagall, who had not been in attendance.
Despite Dumbledore's Dumbledore-ish behavior, everyone…everything seemed to be fine. It was amusing to watch Hagrid blow his nose into a tablecloth-sized hankie, and Rosemary and Molly were already talking about their children's futures. Lily had little to say on the subject, though anyone could see her four-month-old bump beneath her shiny white dress.
Without a formal dinner, Sirius honestly thought he was off the hook for a speech…but when James, that little jerk, conjured some chairs and tables with his father's help and smirked at Sirius, Sirius knew he'd have to forget his nerves and wing it. And he should be fine winging it, right? How many times had winging it saved his sorry bum from detention? A lot. I think, the Animagus inwardly groaned.
James tapped on his flute of firewhiskey. "Ahem, ahem! Attention, everyone! I think Sirius has something to say!"
Sirius sent James a dirty look. You owe me for this, Prongs.
You knew you'd have to do this someday, James' look appeared to say.
The Black son sighed and remained standing while the others seated themselves. "Er, right… As James said," he began in a loud voice, "I've something to say."
Haha. Funny… Weird… Had these people always looked like such strangers? Or was Sirius wearing something funny…? Oh, no—he was wearing clothes at least, right?!
Sirius cleared his voice. "I think we all know James pretty well by now, the sly git he is…" The crowd chuckled, and James stuck his tongue out at Sirius. "But I think the thing anyone here knows best about James is that he's persistent—to a fault."
On the other side of James, Lily was shaking with silent laughter. She probably understood Sirius' words best.
"James is persistent, pigheaded, a right prat if you give him the chance, a toad, a troll, a—what was your choice word for him, Lils?"
"Toe-rag!" Lily supplied, loving where this was heading. She couldn't keep her laughter in anymore, though James was glaring at her in spite of being as red as her hair.
"Ah, yes, a toe-rag… But we get to call him those things because we love him, and there's always another side of the story, as MickeyGonagall loved to remind us of every now and then. He was a toe-rag when defending classmates and friends against jerks. He could be a troll when rolling out of the bed in the morning, but who isn't?" Remus, Peter, and Frank all nodded at that. "He was a toad…well, okay, so maybe a toad was a bad example."
                "Hey!" James yelled.
"Definitely a prat whenever he scored shots on the Quidditch pitch." Their schoolmates and James' parents all rolled their eyes and groaned. "Pigheaded when he thought he was right…but at least he was standing up for his beliefs." Sirius turned to James. "But he's always been persistent, at the best and at the worst of times. Whether making friends, winning someone over to his argument, or convincing the love of his life that he was the love of hers, James has always been James—"
"You mean 'James Thaddeus Potter,'" Mary, Fabian, and Gideon chirped. Peals of laughter erupted.
"Yes, yes, he's always been James Thaddeus Potter," Sirius wrapped up, holding in his chuckling as well as Remus was doing beside him, "and I don't think any of us would change that for the world. Lily, you take care of that man—he's the only brother I've got, you know." He winked at her and then looked at James. "And, oi, mate, try to hold on to her, will you? I don't think there's any other woman in this universe who could stand you! I know I've got the long hair and Remmy's got the feminine personality—"
"HEY!" Remus barked, a lovely pink.
"—but that doesn't mean we wanna marry you." Sirius lifted his drink. "To the new Potters!"
"The new Potters!" the guests agreed.
"And the littlest one to come!" Sirius added with a snort of laughter, and he downed his drink.
Then it clicked right as James and Lily got up to dance. Hadn't Sirius just left James in Lily's good hands…?
His right eye twitched, catching Remus' attention.
"Is something wrong, Sirius?" Remus prodded. He touched Sirius' knee after the latter sat back down.
Sirius stared at James as the newly-wedded couple danced and guests joined in. "That ruddy git…!"
Remus looked confused and leaned his head on Sirius' shoulder. "What now?"
"James, that ruddy git…!" Sirius impatiently tapped his foot on the ground, his eyes dancing along with James' and Lily's forms.
The werewolf smiled. "Is that your human way of wagging your tail?"
"Not now, Rem." Though Sirius felt his face warm at Remus' comment.
Eventually James got the message, and he and Lily exited the floor to join Sirius and Remus off to the side. "What's wrong, Padfoot? Cat got your tongue?"
Sirius' cheeks reddened. "When you were speaking with us earlier, you…"
"Yes…? Or is it," James continued, his hazel eyes darting back and forth between his two friends, "that a werewolf has got your tongue?"
Remus and Sirius froze, and Remus looked like a dithering idiot, gaping like that, eyes wide. "AH— WHA— HOW— WHEN— IF— YOU— BUT— DUH— WHU— AGH—!"
Sirius blushed a deep magenta. "We were planning to tell you."
"Oh, really?" James raised an eyebrow. "You probably were about as ready to tell me, tell us, as we were to tell you about the wedding."
                "That's. Different."
Lily groaned and glared at James. "Dammit, so they really are…"
James nodded. "Uh-huh. You know the deal."
"But we're married now, so all the money technically will stay in one account…"
"A deal's a deal, love. All's fair in love and war."
Sirius gaped at his best friend. "Wait, you bet on us?"
"Correct!" James said, no trace of shame on his glowing face. "And you should really thank me for having more faith in you two. Lily lost because she thought you two might still be dawdling—"
"Well, you were being really awkward about it," she offered by way of an apology.
The Black son shook his head. "Oh, good Merlin… I can't believe…" He paused, thinking back on his speech. "Oh, wait. Nope, I believe you two. It's the James thing to do."
James gave a hearty laugh. "That's the spirit, Pads!" He clapped him on the arm. "Now loosen up—it's a party, mate!"
Sirius looked back at Remus, who still looked pretty shocked that James and Lily had figured them out already. Ah, what the hell? The important ones know now, Sirius thought. He grabbed Remus. "Hey, everyone! James loves Lily!" Sirius bellowed.
                "We know!" came the response.
                "And I love Remus!"
"We know!" the crowd repeated. Mary, Fabian, Gideon, Frank, and Alice all rolled their eyes and made gagging noises at the Animagus' mawkishness.
"Oh, forget you!" he yelled with a grin. Sirius really didn't care anymore as he swept Remus off his feet and dipped him down for their best dancing snog ever.
:] … :)))) It's funny, because I knew ONE thing I wanted to achieve in this chappie—namely, the wedding. As I thought about it and found an old line I'd jotted down (Rem's "Is that your human way…"), I found that this chapter wrote Remmius' announcement itself. Which is fine by me, because I think it wasn't much of a surprise to those closest to them. This doesn't translate to lots of PDA now in the presence of the Order, it just means a new level of comfort…perhaps. One mustn't forget Sirius' nagging suspicions… ;3 So the next 2 chappies will still be ridiculous, and 36 & 37 will be toning that down…but I'll give you fair warning that 38's gonna be a heart-wrencher. Dx Until then. :]

2017 note: Ah, yes! XD This was such fun to write, and probably the most "traditional" Wizarding wedding I've written? I've written more since, but those have a marked difference to them, no doubt. And putting this in Sirius' POV was too funny to pass up. XD
