anyways today i’ve got some headcanons for a past written on the margins question! first it was a karaoke party with the seijoh 4, and now it’s a road trip! aka you and iwaizumi are the only ones with any braincells in this godforsaken car (they make you handle the gps stuff since you’re the best with it). i can imagine each of them rotating and driving for a set number of hours or at least until they reach a rest stop, especially on long trips. whoever’s sitting shotgun (they rotate between this seat too) has control over the radio and aux cord and oikawa jokes that it’s the best part of going on road trips (but is he really joking though...)

makki and mattsun pretend to groan when you sit shotgun, but in actuality they don’t mind and will probably sing along to some of the songs you play (if there’s a rap part in the song currently playing everyone makes mattsun rap along i feel like his voice just fits it) while oikawa would be like UGH FINALLY SOMEONE WITH SOME MUSIC TASTE just to get a rise out of the other boys (but he really does think those kpop songs you blast lowkey slap he’s been listening to some of them while he works out or goes on his morning runs). iwa generally doesn’t have much of a preference but i can see him being partial to more upbeat songs to keep him or whoever’s driving awake, but even during slow songs the rest of you guys sing loud enough and chaotic enough to prevent anyone from getting any shut-eye (oikawa, makki, and mattsun dramatically act out a whole SAGA)

when you guys reach any rest stop makki is the first one out of the car and he makes a beeline towards the bathroom because he drank a lot of water during you guys’ impromptu karaoke session (gotta keep those vocal chords taken care of!). oikawa and mattsun are usually the ones in charge of getting snacks, they always end up getting a lot but they make sure to get everyone’s favorites! the amount of snacks they buy seems overkill but they’re athletic boys with voracious appetites and getting this many snacks ensures that the car is never short on food. if this is during or post-timeskip iwa is probably a little more strict on the snacks everyone eats (especially with regards to oikawa, being a professional athlete and all) but eventually decides to let up a bit—it’s not everyday he gets to go on a trip with his close friends, plus all those calories are gonna get burned right away once you guys reach your destination and go from place to place.

god help anyone who actually falls asleep in the car because oikawa and makki are taking photos of whoever’s sleeping with their phones AND with the polarioid camera you brought. despite this, though, everyone makes a conscious effort to be quieter when someone’s napping, and the volume of the radio is turned a bit lower. one of your favorite pictures on your phone is a selfie you took of everyone while you were sitting in the passenger seat: mattsun was driving at the time and though he wasn’t looking at the camera, a smile is on his face as he makes a peace sign with one hand; oikawa, iwa, and makki are sleeping in the back seats with oikawa and makki leaning on iwa’s shoulders (he lost a few rounds of rock paper scissors and had to sit in the middle). this also extends to when you’re asleep in the car as well—oikawa jokingly made his phone background a selfie of you leaning on his shoulder while napping (featuring a blurry iwaizumi at the side) but he actually finds it quite cute and doesn’t want to change it to his usually background quite yet.

it’s evening when you guys finally reach your hotel and everyone’s a bit tired from being cooped up in the car all day but surprisingly enough no one’s really sleepy because everyone at one point had the opportunity to nap on the way there. if you’re dating one of the boys the others DEFINITELY make you two take one room while the other three take the room adjacent to it. after everyone’s gotten ready for bed you’re all gathered in one of the hotel rolls just vibing on your phones and you and oikawa decide it’s the perfect time to bring out The Sheet Masks™️ that you kept in the cooler in the car during the trip so they’d remain cold. many more goofy photos of everyone with the masks on their faces are taken.

by this point it’s late at night and eventually you guys fall into having some nice, genuine heart-to-heart conversations. if this is during or post-timeskip everyone’s sharing what they’ve been up to ever since graduation or ever since you guys last saw/talked to each other. it’s just such a nice and comforting environment to be in because everyone’s a little tired from the day’s events and so it’s not as loud and boisterous, but at the same time this tiredness and it being nighttime means everyone’s filters are a little looser than usual and you could ask for advice on just about anything and everyone else would chime in with both lighthearted and actual suggestions. the boys are just SOFTER during this time like you could bring up how you’ve been getting back into something you did during high school (like playing piano or guitar or something) and they’d want you to show them videos or pictures of what you’ve been up to! maybe one boy brings up something that’s been worrying them for a while and you and the others are giving him words of encouragement while also cracking jokes. it’s just really chill and nice and everyone likes these late night talks because they bring you all a little closer.

everyone ends up sleeping in the same hotel room. you wake up sandwiched between oikawa and mattsun (oikawa’s got an arm thrown around you and mattsun’s long leggies are literally on top of yours and you wonder how you managed to sleep soundly last night) and iwa and makki are on the pull out sofa bed and you’re like Hey Guys. What The Heck (makki takes this opportunity to snap a photo of the three of you wrapped up in the bedcovers) and when you guys go to get breakfast at the hotel buffet it’s strangely quiet because almost everyone is still sleepy lol.

after getting some food in your system and getting ready for the day you’re all back to your usual energetic selves! you snap a mirror selfie of everyone gathered around the sink in one of the hotel rooms because oikawa was finishing getting ready (he takes the longest i just know it) and the other boys were just hanging around him talking about what’s planned for the day. the schedule you guys have isn’t super specific but there’s a few choice locations that you guys looked into in advance and try to visit no matter what! a day out with them is definitely filled with photos. you’ve got a lot of them in which they’re trying to recreate some funny pose in a picture oikawa saw online (like the one of nct in the ask i sent you earlier!!) and they either turn out really great or really horrible (funny) because you have a knack for taking photos where everything looks normal but someone’s face would be really blurry. but they would also try and take some really nice photos too—they’ll all even help you if you want to take some solo shots! oikawa and makki know the best angles for aesthetically pleasing photos, mattsun has a knack for taking panorama photos that look perfect, and iwaizumi’s really good at taking those types of photos of you guys jumping in the air without them looking weird. you’ve basically got four tall hypemen it’s great!!

overall i think it’d be so fun to go on a trip with them because it’s the perfect balance!! they’re chaotic clowns but they also won’t hesitate to give you a piggyback ride if your feet really hurt or if your shoes are giving you blisters (oikawa will try and make iwa give him a piggyback ride too, though). you guys end up getting a lot closer and having a TON of photos and inside jokes at the end of the trip, and though you’re all reluctant to go back, you also all know that this is only the beginning of a lot more outings together! if you take little clips of various events throughout the trip and compile them all together into a little vlog they’ll all probably watch it together through zoom or discord screenshare or something loool

everyone who isn't driving makes it their mission to annoy the one who is; whether it's through repeatedly poking their cheek, asking how long of the drive they have left, etc. the person who can last the longest in driver's seat would probably be iwaizumi, all his years playing volleyball with them as prepared him for this moment — but also looked up breathing exercises to avoid getting angry.

the best person to have riding shotgun would most be mattsun, especially when it's really late or super early ; keeps the conversation going and doesn't fall asleep, even when everyone in the backseat is. he shotguns energy drinks every hour or so.

i love the idea of oikawa, makki, and mattsun acting out a whole saga in the backseat omg !! in my head it's a song like taylor swift's love story wherein makki is the love interest, oikawa is taylor, and mattsun is like the dad who doesn't want them together. they really go all out on the acting — oikawa might have let out a couple of tears — and even iwa cracks a lil smile from the driver's seat.

awe timeskip!iwa watching out for everyone's diets ;-; but i do agree that he's gonna let up a bit considering that everyone doesn't see each other all the time. but i feel like he gives everyone the look™ every now and then despite this.

aw cmon don't hit me with oikawa making his background me leaning on his shoulder as i sleep that's so adorable i might cry :<< but other photos taken during naps include : iwa leaning on oikawa’s shoulder, makki sleeping with his eyes halfway-open ??? mattsun’s face covered in stickers that you impulse-bought at a random stopover.

sheet masks with the boys ??? yes pls !! though iwa would definitely be the type to almost wash his face after and oikawa screeched just before he was able to splash water on his face.

but late in the night heart to hearts ??? ugh, peak softness from the boys — everyone cries at some point because woah all of you really grew so much since high school and it made everyone feel all warm and tender.

but at some point, without thinking, and also bec it’s late and what does he have to lose, iwa just goes “you know, i had a crush on you when we were in high school” at yn and everyone just goes ?!?!?!?!?

and oikawa’s just cackling in the background like, “i knew it !!!! both of you kept saying i was crazy for pushing it i feel so vindicated rn” 

meanwhile makki hands mattsun some money because they bet on it years ago and they were finally getting answers — makki thought you would confess first and mattsun thought it would be iwa ; several years too late but at least ;//

also i would just love to fall asleep in between oikawa and mattsun,,, please how do i get that

Fan Favorite Moments: Hannah and Mark

so originally i had an actual scenario planned for posting buuuut it wasn’t a good quality scenario, so I’m just going to share this which has been in my drafts for about a week now

Accent mocking

Mark loves Hannah’s accent. This is a well-known fact. He has said it so many times in multiple interviews and NCT videos. (He says Hannah loves his accent, too, but everyone knows she loves Johnny’s accent)

In fact, Mark loves her accent so much that he pretends to be British very often when he’s talking to her. This leads to little giggles between the two of them before Hannah proceeds to copy Mark’s general way of speaking.

These two end up mocking each other’s accents more than actually trying to properly imitate each other.

The fans absolutely love this playfulness, though. They like seeing these two being able to mess around like that without offending each other.

(Bonus: because of this, Hannah naturally says “Oh My Jesus” and Mark says “like” a lot)

Hannah’s videos

Like how Johnny has JCC, Hannah has her own little series in NCT Daily called Hannah City. 75% of her videos had Mark in them.

It became an ongoing joke in the fandom that Hannah City is actually Mark and Hannah’s very own sibling series like Jessica and Krystal did.

Fans have gathered so much information about and content from the pair from this series to the point where it was too easy to make compilations of their moments together. This little video series is also the reason why fans know that these two have movie marathons or little music sessions a lot.

Also, since they live together, Hannah does like pulling Mark into random videos she makes whether they be little pranks, dance covers, or tiktoks (that don’t get posted on tiktok, but she sometimes puts them in her vlogs)

(Bonus: another fan favorite is where she did a “Who knows me better?” With Markhyuck bc they were together most and it ended up with just her third wheeling Markhyuck)

Constantly talking about each other

Hannah and Mark have the most individual schedules out of all the NCT members (hence their own separate dorm). They’re like representatives of the group for variety shows and all.

Somehow, they always manage to bring up the other’s name in conversations with hosts or other cast members. It’s like they don’t even know that they do it until somebody else points it out. They also both admitted that their managers tried to get them to not do so, but it didn’t work.

This was probably the trigger for the major dating rumors between these two since everyone in the kpop community, other idols and different fans included, would acknowledge how close these two seemed to each other.

Their fans, despite knowing these two have a sibling relationship, love it though. They can feel the genuine adoration that these two have for each other when they talk about the other.

Everyone also finds it hilarious that it reached the point where their managers gave up on stopping them from talking about each other. (Hannah lowkey is SM’s worst nightmare as an idol)

Mark’s Graduation From Dream (but YAY 7DREAM FIXED UNIT)

The Dream concert before Mark’s graduation is probably one of the most painful things in the eyes of the fans. No one wanted to see Mark leave the Dreamies.

Hannah seemed to take this the hardest out of the seven of them who would be staying, though. The fans saw this clearly. No one could deny how much she wanted Mark to stay in Dream.

While giving her last ment, she couldn’t continue. The moment she mentioned not performing with Mark, she broke down. This was the first time that fans saw her cry.

Fans loved how Mark immediately wrapped her in a hug and whispered some stuff to her before bringing the mic up to his mouth and telling her not to cry since they’d still perform together in 127 and U.

She hit him after that, but she laughed through her tears. Fans think of this as one of the moments where they catch a glimpse into how close these two really are.

“Watch me do little things to annoy Mark”

This was a video that Hannah posted for Hannah City.

It’s a series of Hannah doing things in an uncomfortable manner around Mark just to see how he would react. She’d bite into her ice cream, bite into a kitkat, open bags of chips upside down, she even ordered a pizza just to cut out a piece of the center and eat it in front of him.

“Hannah, what are you doing?” “No, that’s not how it’s supposed to go!” “Dude, what’s wrong with you today?” “WAIT YOU CAN’T EAT A PIZZA LIKE THAT!” “I’m calling Johnny hyung.”

This video gave a little more insight to how these two treat each other when they’re just in their dorm, so fans love it. The true sibling bond right there. Annoying each other but still caring for each other.

Bonus: something the fans don’t know

Hannah named her puppy Minnie after Mark’s Korean name Minhyung. Everyone thinks it’s just a tribute to her time in Mickey Mouse Club, but it’s really just because she admires and respects Mark, and loves that he himself claimed her as his little sister. She just doesn’t want to seem too sentimental. Mark actually doesn’t know this either. Only Hannah, Chenle, Johnny, and Yoonmi know.

Lesser-Known Girl Groups You Should Check Out

1. GIRLKIND

First on the list is GIRLKIND! This is a four member girl group that all the admins really like. They come from a poor company, which unfortunately has made some people send them hate, but every single one of these girls is so talented and they do their best with what they have. They do a lot of dance covers, like their recent relay dance of girl group songs from 2010, as well as vocal and dance covers! They tend to reply to comments and interact with fans as well! Medic Jin has such an incredible voice and every single member can dance. It’s sad that they don’t have the funds to show their talent to the world, because they genuinely have so much potential. Their most recent comeback is “Future” and it’s one of my favorites by them, go check it out!

2. Saturday

Second on the list we have Saturday! Saturday is a (now) five member girl group under SD Entertainment. For this group, their songs definitely aren’t for everyone: they’re a mix of cute and silly, but it’s a sound that I personally love! My favorite song by them is “Wifi,” it’s just so catchy and it makes me smile every time I listen to it! They recently posted a dance cover of “Kissing You” with their lightstick that was so adorable, and Haneul, who is all around talented AF, posted a short NCT 127 “Kick It” dance Cover! You can learn more about them by watching them on Fact iN Star. Their last comeback was with “BByong” and it looks like we’ll be getting a comeback soon as some of the girls have changed their hair colors!

3. Nature

Third we have one of my current favorite groups, Nature! Nature is a nine member girl group under N.CH World. They’ve had a couple lineup changes and, most recently, added Sohee, who some of you might recognize from Produce 101! This group is known for their kind of weird, unique yet catchy songs, like “Some (You’ll Be Mine)” and my personal favorite, “I’m So Pretty.” This group has some dancing machines and they post a lot of dance covers, Haru in particular. She just recently posted a dance cover of MC Hammer’s “It’s All Good,” and a dance practice all my friends love is Saebom, Aurora, and Haru’s cover of “Chun-Li.” You can watch them on Weekly Idol, Fact iN Star, KBS’s Try Not To Sing Challenge, Pops In Seoul, Car Talk, and Idol League. They had a reality show with Mnet, but I cannot for the life of me find where to watch it. They upload a lot of short videos to their YouTube channel, some with subs and others without. They also had a pop cover project pre-debut that is incredible! Their latest Korean comeback was with “Oopsie! My Bad” and “Bing Bing,” a side track the promoted! They’re a really amazing group that I’ve totally fallen for!

4. Elris

This next group is an older group, as Elris debuted under Hunus Entertainment in 2017. They recently added two members, Chaejeong (who you might recognize from Produce 48) and EJ, making them a seven member girl group. They debuted with a rather cute concept that they changed up a bit with their last comeback. Sohee, the leader, is probably the most known member of the group. You might know her from her solo song “Hurry Up” with BOL4, she also did some solo things pre-debut. They post both dance and vocal covers on their YouTube channel, as well as vlogs from the members. You can learn more about them by watching Pops in Seoul, Fact iN Star, Broken Karaoke, After School Club, their Weekly Idol episode with Golden Child, and this actually helpful (un)helpful guide to Elris. They also recently appeared on dancing idol! Their most recent comeback was with “Jackpot” and it was really good, be sure to give them a listen! 

5. 3YE

Next is 3YE (pronounced third eye) and, even though I think they’re really gaining in popularity especially overseas, I still wanted to include them. 3YE is a three member girl group under GH Entertainment with a criminal concept! Their dances really make them stand out because of the cheer power, and their music would appeal to anyone who likes more hard-hitting music or a typical boy group sound. On their YouTube, you can find Q&A videos (subbed!) and lots of covers! Unfortunately they haven’t had the chance to be on many shows yet, but you can learn more about them through this interview, this (un)helpful guide to 3YE, and this Pop in Seoul video. They have three songs, the most recent being “Queen” as well as “OOMM (Out Of My Mind)” and “DMT (Do My Thing)”.

6. ANS

Next we have ANS, an eight member girl group under ANS Entertainment that debuted in 2019. It’s a bit of a joke in the fandom that they add members every comeback, because, well, it’s kind of true so far. They gained a lot of attention after their comeback “Say My Name” in January, although some people were accusing them of copying Everglow. Thankfully, most of the attention that came from this was positive. This is another group under a poor company trying their best, especially because a lot of the girls have tried to debut before, but I think they did amazing with their last comeback and I’m really hoping their career is able to take off. Also, their dance skills are GREAT. They have so many members who excel in dancing and even choreograph themselves, please watch Bian, Dalyn, and Raon’s “I Like It” choreo and be blessed. They also post vocal covers through their cover project and their dance practice in hanbok was ADORABLE. They went to Fact iN Star during their debut, so you can learn about the members other than J and Haena there. This (un)helpful guide to ANS is really great as well! 7. Cignature

Okay so Cignature has actually been getting quite a lot of attention since their debut this year, but I couldn’t help but to add them here. Cignature is a seven member girl group under J9 Entertainment. Five of the members were in the girl group Good Day and appeared on The Unit, so you might see some familiar faces! I feel like a broken record, but I’m serious when I once again say that the members are SO TALENTED. They sing live for every performance and even during some dance challenges! On their YouTube, they do a lot of dance covers and they have a lot of short videos called Cignature Piece that are, unfortunately, not subbed but are still fun to watch! You can learn more about them through After School Club, this complimenting challenge, this newsaid interview, this skylife series, Broken Karaoke, and Fact iN Star released a dance video, so they might be appearing there soon as well! They came back with a second debut single ASSA after Nun Nu Nan Na, which is about not caring if you’re an outsider and being yourself!

8. April

April is another group that falls into the area of known, but kind of underrated. They’re a six member girl group under DSP Entertainment that debuted in 2015, and although they had some lineup changes early on (KARD’s Somin used to be in the group) they’ve stayed six members for a while. You probably know Naeun, even if you don’t know that you know her: she’s acted in “A-Teen” and “Extraordinary You” as well as been MC for multiple music shows. The members have also done OST’s and have been in commercials. Somehow, though, Apink still manages to fall under the radar. Their last comeback, Oh! My Mistake was their most popular song (and their best mini album, in my opinion), but then they disappeared for a while. Their songs like April Story and The Blue Bird had more of a soft, dreamy concept and, in my opinion, should have gotten them some wins. Their reality show Here Goes April right after their debut (before Rachel and Chaekyung joined and Somin and Hyunjoo left) does have English subs, but unfortunately most of the short videos they upload now do not. You can learn more about April through their Celuv TV appearance, A Song For You, and their Pops in Seoul interview. Since they aren’t super popular overseas, it is hard to find English subs for them, but Chaewon does have her own YouTube where she posts covers and a few vlog-type videos, and Naeun has appeared on a lot of shows on her own! April will finally be making a comeback this month on the 22nd with their mini album Da Capo, so keep an eye out and please give them lots of support!

~to my approx. 4 followers~ i made a BUNCH of kpop spotify playlists that i'm so proud of (but are still a work in progress) and i just wanted to share the cover art that i made for it 🥺 it took me so long so if you wanna check them out/share this i would love and appreciate you all forever 🥰 

here’s the breakdown of the playlist concepts in the order that the art appears w/ attached links :) ...

crude fucking oil - mostly consists of nct 127/lay gas lighting songs LOL but @suhosmilitarywife and i basically describe it as songs that make you want to chug gasoline and punch someone in the face at the same time :) honestly the best way to describe its vibe is the firs 10 seconds of simon says (the cover art really says it all). so yeah highly recommend that for when you want to fuck the patriarchy 🤪

gasoline - step down from crude fucking oil (as evident by the title) but still songs that make you want to go crazy ahh go stoopid ahh 😤 lots of 127 again (bc kings??), w exo/wayv/superm/got7/etc. 

one-two am - SLOWEST playlist in existence and will def put you in a depressed mood if you listen to it normally. not strictly kpop, but i assure you they’re all amazing songs. as far as the title goes, it’s really inspired by jaehyun’s 1-2 am 24 hour relay cam vlog and includes some of the songs/albums that i know he loves (aka cigarettes after sex). anyways this basically yet another attempt to convince myself that we will eventually get married LMFAO 

k & b - one of my personal favorites for sure!! before kpop i was strictly into r&b w some hip hop mixed in soo this is a playlist specifically dedicated to kpop w r&b roots and sounds. great playlist for easy listening and an overall chill vibe that won't make you depressy like one-two am. ☺️

bubblegum - ok so, bc of the music that i'm generally into bubblegum kpop really isn’t for me (its been a problem w trying to get into girl groups send help). anyways this playlist contains the highest level of bubblegum kpop that i will listen to and actually enjoy 🤣 really really good placement for summer bops if that's what you’re feelin’

gum - SORRY for the THREE different cover arts for this, i was having the most difficult fucking time choosing my concept. of course, i chose the johnny one bc 🥵 good lord ya know 🥵 but i love them all sm that i was toying with the others. This is a step between bubblegum and k & b, and is a medium paced easy listening playlist. Basically, generic songs that i love that aren’t bubblegum go into this so there’s a lot of content

little fan | jaehyun x famous reader | 1593 words | no warnings

nervous? excited? thrilled? so many emotions stuffed into one single body, your dreams of meeting your favorite group was going to be fulfilled. dingo, the famous youtube channel, had given you the chance to interview nct 127 in korea. accepting the offer in a heartbeat, well after checking your dance group’s schedule. your group was famous for the performance covers of the korean music industry. as if your group was a kpop group, you made each songs into your own mix, the rearrangement of the songs, vocals, and distribution of the parts going to the member who fit it the best. so, your group had definitely gained much attention from the k-netizens. 

“are you nervous?” the manager of the dingo team had probably sensed your fidgeting, as she adjusted the mic on your shirt. 

“yeah, just a little. i’m just really grateful for this experience, you know? it’s only a once in a lifetime thing to meet your favorite group,” taking a deep breath, she given you a warm smile.

 nodding at your words, she continued, “you’ll be fine. the nct members are very nice and welcoming.” a male had walked onto the set, whispering into her ear, a grin appeared on her face as she turned to you, “they’re here. just be yourself, you’ll do great. for korean customs, as they walk in, just bow your head to greet each of them. just like how you did earlier when you saw us. and the translator will be in your ear, too.”

“alright, thank you so much,” taking the question cards off your lap, placing them on the high chair. the stylists had touched up your makeup and hair once more, as you waited for the members to file into the room. hearing the chatter of the boys, mark and haechan being the loudest, they had walked onto the set. seeing you, they had bowed and which you returned. 

your heart raced, beating against your chance, as you greeted each member. they all had looked soft and fluffy, like puppies. the staff delayed the recording an hour, as there was a mishap with some of the cameras. allowing you to get comfortable with the members, they had been respectful towards you and tried their best to help you warm up to them. as most of the hour passed, each member had separated into their own talks. the only ones accompanying you were jaehyun, mark, and johnny.

“[name], do you need a blanket to put over your legs?” johnny had questioned, pointing, as it’s custom for female idols to have something to cover when dressed in skirts, dresses, or shorts.

shaking your head no, you cleared your throat, “i’m okay.”

not noticing the nudge that both, johnny and mark, had done to jaehyun. jaehyun had taken his jacket off, handing it you as he was the closest to you, “here. um, my jacket. just in case, you know, fans. kind of, like. say something about. you know.”

smiling at his offer, it would be rude for you to decline, taking the jacket with two hands just like how the staff had taught you. they had given you a miniature lesson on the korean culture beforehand. placing the jacket over your legs, you looked at him, “thanks, jaehyun. my legs are actually warmer now, it’s cold in here.”

the other members had peered over the shoulder, watching the interaction. they know that jaehyun had taken a liking to you. he had always watched your videos, talking about you, maybe 25/8. the members also enjoyed your group’s videos. the boys often teased jaehyun about his crush on you. as much as jaehyun tried to defend himself, saying he doesn’t, the glint in his eyes as he talked about you was something else. 

the boys quickly tore away their eyes off you both, as soon as the staff had said that they were ready to start filming. giving your cue to start, you introduced yourself and the boys. the interview had gone smoothly, stopping the fliming as you transitioned to a different segment. the new segment of asking the interviewer questions, due to the fans wanting a complete interaction between you and nct. 

“okay, [name], are you ready for your questionnaire?” johnny asked, as he read the cue cards.

“yes, why yes i am,” you nodded, smile stretched on your face.

“you are aware that we are your fans, correct,” he flipped the card towards the back. you hummed in agreement, the boys had brought up the fact and watching your videos on the daily.

“so, in our most recent nctzens would like this, too, a member had said that he liked your videos and renditions of your group’s videos. he would like to be your partner in a song one day, which member was it?” he questioned. mark peered over johnny’s shoulder, reading the question. a bright smile appeared on his face, quietly laughing, then hitting the older male in the shoulder repeatedly. johnny altered the question quite a bit, which had made mark laugh.

on the other hand, you were deeply into your thoughts. you had watched the tmi video the first it came out. when your name was mentioned during that session, you were overjoyed. you immediately knew who the member was, as you almost passed out when the person behind the id was revealed.

 a blush tinted over your cheeks, a grin taking place onto your face, clearing your throat once more to compose yourself. you croaked out, “it was jaehyun.”

“jaehyun, would you like to explain your tmi? the fans said they couldn’t hear you well,” johnny smirked at the male behind him. 

the male’s ears started to turn red.well, they’ve been red for the past hour and a half. he sputtered out, “uh.. yeah. sure. [name] is a very skilled performer. she is very pretty, too.”

“what was your favorite video that she’s made?” johnny continued. the burn on your cheeks, fanning yourself to cool your face down. mark was having too much of a laughing fest against the wall, trying to contain himself. the rest of members, smiles on their faces, they had gathered around jaehyun.

“i like all of her videos, i can’t pick one. but maybe, the god is a woman collaboration with chungha? the table choreography was nicely done and she done a really good job. or maybe, their version of the irregular office teaser. she looked really pretty, well, she’s already pretty, but like more prettier, you know?” he looked up at the members, trying to explain his thoughts. they nodded, helping johnny on instigating. for a second, the male had forgotten that you were sitting across from him. 

“alright, pretty boy. we got it. what are your thoughts, [name]?,” johnny chuckled, using the fan to help cool down mark who’s still laughing. you had finished your water bottle, as jaehyun had answered the question. the said male covered his face in his hands, waiting on your response.

“i think, it’s very sweet. thank you, jaehyun,” you gave him a smile. your gaze turned to mark, who had finished laughing, maybe he was laughing at his hyung. the interview had continued with other questions, some regarding jaehyun and some about trying to step out onto the korean industry. 

as the interview ended and exchange of goodbyes to the camera and the boys, you were the first to leave. dingo had been told by your manager that you were scheduled for other interviews. as you taken off of the microphone, jaehyun, johnny, and mark had caught up to you. the filming had taken a break to reload the batteries, switch camera angles, and whatnot. 

“hey, [name]. we have a question, well two,” mark had asked first, “the first is do you want to join us for dinner and the next couple of days? we asked your manager if it would be okay, she said yeah if you wanted to.”

“yeah, i’m down. i would like to enjoy my couple of days in korea with trusted experts,” you chuckled.

“cool, we have more content for our vlogs,” johnny laughed, “and also, jaehyun has a question to ask you.”

jaehyun’s head snapped to you, wondering what possible question could he have. he only had join the two to ask you about dinner, but johnny had said the previous day to ask for your number. looking into your eyes, he scratched the nape of his neck. he turned to his members, seeing they escaped to the snack bar with the rest of the members, in which they threw him a thumbs up for support. as he turned back towards you, you noticed that his ears turned a bright red. knowing that video when he attended hello counselor, you couldn’t help but feel the blood rush to your cheeks as you waited for him to speak his mind.

“so, uh, what is it?” you question, breaking the rising tension between the both of you.

“i, um, can i.. have your number? or anything you want to message me with? if not, that’s okay, too. i just-”

“yes, jaehyun. you can have my number, do  you wanna.. i don’t know, get boba after?” you hoped that you hadn’t pushed on too much, scaring him is the last thing you wanted to do.

giving his million dollar smile, “i would love to.”

NCT 127 while you’re studying~ ˚୨୧⋆｡˚ ⋆

Wow, writing this while I’m studying, too! (Hence, the not-so-common concept.) Can’t wait for Yutae’s Phoenix vlog tonight!!! 💖 [okay everyone say SIKE, I really thought I had their vlog every 2 days schedule down pat.]

Anyway, hope I ace my Friday exam, hope I ace this subject, and hope I ace my sem and get high grades that I want until grad and basically ace life in general. 🥰💖🙏🏻 Enjoy!

Taeil: Taeil doesn’t understand all the deep words and symbol-filled formula that you’re reading, but he sits by your side to keep you company, anyway. He just stares, wide-eyed, at your notes—and at you, too, of course! He helps you sort out your papers, and picks up your pen when you drop it, and finds your calculator after it gets buried under a pile of books. (He’s getting pretty good at that.) Long after you make him go to sleep, while you’re pulling an all-nighter again, he sends you photos to remind you of the beauty of life even in your academic struggle. Like a picture of the full moon, for example. “Fighting!” his caption reads~

Johnny: Johnny isn’t the studying type. (“You don’t want me to do that,” he says, as you jokingly ask him to help you write your thesis.) But he *is* the supportive type, at least. “Coffee?” he asks, staring aghast at the mountain of work on your desk. You nod, half-alive, half-dead to the world. Sometimes he goes on Starbucks runs, but his favorite thing in the world is making you his own special cup of coffee. You don’t know what it is—his so-called “coffee connoisseur skills,” the tips and tricks his dad taught him, the special beans he had imported from South America, or simply all his “Johnny-ness,” but it’s the best-tasting drink in the world. Johnny would be your energy, your caffeine, cheering you on through long nights.

Taeyong: You knew Taeyong had big eyes, but they go especially large when he sees your work. “That much?” he asks. When you nod, he insists on helping you, deaf to all your protests. Yuta: Yuta takes one look at your notebooks and makes some remark on why this was why he chose sports instead of studying. But he helps you hit the books anyway~ As funny or as charming as he is, Yuta actually becomes serious when he needs to be serious. You begin to realize what a solemn yet pure soul he has. The intense gaze he has when he helps you tackle problems or long passages makes you realize how he became so fluent in Korean. When you two finish studying, however, before you can get your thanks out, he’s already giggling and stretching his arms and grabbing you to head on a new adventure somewhere, “to reward yourself for working so hard!” And that sort of persona, serious when it needs to be, funny when there’s no need to be so solemn, and loving all throughout in spite of it all—that’s the Yuta Nakamoto you know and love. 🥰

Doyoung: Doyoung is that guy who hates acads with a burning passion, but succeeds in them anyway, even when he’s super-clutch. He’ll take one look at the pile of papers on your desk, then head to the kitchen to whip up something good to eat. “Brain food!” He’ll study the texts intensely and help explain them to you. You work together like a tag team—he quizzing you on his self-made index card reviewers, and you answering his questions as fast as you can. He sings when you get too stressful, and his beautiful voice is a plus. (Let’s forget how sassy he is when you get something wrong, though.) After a long day, he’ll high-five (or ask he calls it, hi-touch) you with a smile, then pretend to fall asleep right after. Cute~

Jaehyun: Okay, so it’s completely unfair that Jaehyun just magically gets the lesson and loves working hard more than anyone. When you ask him how he does his work so fast, he flashes you a dimply bread smile and says, “I’m not smart, I just did my best and got lucky, I guess!” But he’s the best and sweetest boyfriend ever, leaving you your favorite orange gummies (“I’ll be your human vitamin!”) to munch on while you revise, or dropping off a stack of pastel pink highlighters and index cards (“Use this to study better!”). Oftentimes, he tutors you, and if it weren’t for the fact that he’s super intelligent and super good at rescuing, you’d melt at the sound of his voice and get distracted by how good he looks in glasses. But he’s always the most encouraging and most helpful boyfriend, sending you texts and always helping you go on. “I’ll be your motivation.”

Winwin: Okay, let’s be real, Dong Si Cheng isn’t the biggest fan of studying. You love him, but he’s way too quiet, always just giggling by your side, making jokes on how you all should just drop out together for good and the like. Or sometimes, he gets pretty moody too, playing games on his phone or sleeping on your bed while you study. But he offers to carry your books for you or to help you re-type or transcribe anything under the sun. When you’re busy, he’ll be beside you, and you can just ask him to “please research on this topic” or “please tell me what this word means” and he’ll do it. Sicheng is so silently supportive and you love him more for that. There’s nothing better than finishing all five chapters of your exam, looking over at him, and then seeing him give you a huge thumbs-up with the biggest grin on his face.

Jungwoo: Jungwoo is pretty quiet too, but he’s the food master. He’ll help you study, that’s for sure, with maximum energy, pumping you up with his adrenaline. When his hyperness wanes, he suggests you go out for food. When you decline, saying it would take too much time, he’ll go out and buy a bunch of snacks or fast food for you, or get some delivery. His orders are huuuugeee and you’re not sure how you will finish it all, but that boy eats like there’s no tomorrow. Anyway, he’s always there cheering you on, always whisper-shouting words of encouragement and clapping his hands whenever you announce that you’ve just finished a topic. More importantly, he makes you laugh even when math is kicking your butt with his over-the-too jokes. His humor and positivity really just rub off on you. 🥰

Mark: Mark will try, alright. He’ll try indeed. You tell him you’re alright, and you’re perfectly capable of reading something or doing an assignment yourself. But he will insist. It isn’t that he gets bad grades, his are pretty average, in fact. But he’ll start reading a passage and then stutter. Or he’ll be mumbling a few sentences to himself, before saying something like, “Hang on, what does ‘insolvency’ mean again?” You may get him to calm down with all that nervous energy of his, but let’s face it, he’s overtly sweet and shy with his earnestness to help you. You can never stay mad with those big, innocent eyes of his. You’re never going to escape, but at least you’ll have a great time together. 😂

Haechan: You’re not going to bother asking Haechan for help since that boy hates studying. He would sit by your side, complaining about the stuffiness of the room, and proceed to play games on his phone or sing loudly to himself while you revise. (You tell him to stop being so loud; eventually, he remembers to start bringing his headphones). Haechan *acts* like he doesn’t care, but one day, while his eyes are glued to the video game screen, he’ll wordlessly reach into his backpack and hand you a reviewer book he bought at the store just because he remembered you had a hard time with that particular topic. Haechan may be allergic to acads, but he’s more supportive and helpful than anyone you know, brightening your life and adding light like the Full Sun that he is! ☀️

💜 Lmao we have the exact same birthday so I was like omg yes finally someone I can relate to. So I looked up his profile and noticed we were basically the same person and was shook O.o

3. What’s your favorite thing about him?

💛 His heart of gold (aha get the emoji reference yeeeah i did that).He’s honestly such a kind and generous person and sjkglsgfdkjf he makes me cry. Like when I see him helping others or taking care of his members or his family especially, my heart skips a beat. He’s my ideal type tbh, as cringey as that sounds. Here’s an excerpt from a letter to my bias thing I have in my drafts cx

“Ideal types may be just a charade to some, but ultimately you are everything I want in a partner. 💛 HIM WITHOUT A DOUBT. He’s a touchy baby. Tbh it would probably piss me off slightly, like I’m just being honest ahaha. I don’t mind people touching my thigh or my arm for a second but he’s the type to just touch and then stay there lol

💜 Him too, I think. I’ve noticed he’s become a bit more touchy with the members recently! I’m not very touchy but if someone is more chill about it and doesn’t feel like its necessary or has to be like all the fucking time, then I’m more inclined to actually engage in it surprise surprise.

5. Who would hog the blankets more?

💛 I would say him but then I remember him saying he gets really hot at night (it was in one of those GOT2Days with JB lol). I get hot too so he can hog them if he wants cx

💜 He’s pretty chill, like so long as he has his pillow to hug then I don’t think he would mind much. I would insist on covering him up still though. I’m not a hogger at all, in fact usually I end up with literally half/no blanket in the morning because I’ve kicked it off at some point

6. Who would be more clingy?

💛 HIM. I honestly don’t think I need to explain XD

💜 Oooh tough question. I feel like it could be him? I would be more clingy on the inside, if that makes sense?

7. Who would say I love you first?

💛 I think it would be me but just as like a casual thing like, “Ahh you’re lucky I love you”. But he would take it serious and be like “...I love you too”. And then I’d get all giggly and embarrassed because that’s all I ever do T-T

💜 Maybe me? Idk like it would a kind of ‘in the moment’ thing? I’d be thinking it but I wouldn’t say it until I realised I actually had. I’ve done this before ;-;

8. Who would be more easily flustered?

💛 Me!!!! I bet that would be his favourite thing to do too. He’s such a little shit like he’d be all “Aww is someone all blushy?” and then make me even worse and kjdsgfldfmdsfg I would lowkey enjoy it tbh XD

💜 I think him actually! I wouldn’t be over-the-top romantic or cheesy so if I ever did something, it would catch him by surprise and make him uwu haha. I’m not the best at speaking my thoughts but I would write lots of poems and songs for him and I think that would make him get all flustered since he likes writing too c:

9. What cuddling position would you two have?

💛 Aww I honestly love backhugs so anything where I could just wrap my arms around him and lie against his back. The big spoon! But I feel like he would give the best hugs so like sitting in his lap with his arms around me and djkfhdjfhj fuck this shit I’m out T-T

💜 We’re both quite childish and awkward when it comes to cuddling so I feel like it would be just playwrestling and then forgetting that we’re supposed to wrestle so we just lie in a big tangle on top of each other ;-;

10. Which colors remind you of them and why?

💛 Yellow because his blonde hair is beautiful, plus he’s so bright and cheerful like the colour itself  ^-^

💜 Pink! He looks adorable in pink plus he’s mentioned the colour a few times on broadcasts and stuff so I feel like he has a fondness for it~

11. Which season would you like to spend with them?

💛 He’d be sooooo cheesy, like to the point where its not even flirting but just straight up cringey. I don’t flirt often but when I do, its like wow I see what you did there. But I’d get embarrassed around him so it would be less smooth and more stuttery unless I got a sudden burst of confidence. He would have no shame flirting though, like he legit would be the type to say “Omg damn girl, that ass” and I’d slap him XD

💜 Eww he’d be cheesy like he’d be walking around and see something and try make it a rap like in the LA vlog lmao. 💛 We’re both so competitive but I think with his history in sporting competitions (whereas I was too shy to do them T-T), it would give him just a bit more. I’d always encourage him though, like I’d love seeing him try his best and would always ask if there was anything I could do to help. But if it came to games, I don’t take the “I let you win” excuse cx

💜 Me? I take my passions very seriously and throw myself into what I do, like I get VERY into my work. I was v competitive in debating and any time I hear the word challenge, its like yasss bring it on bish. Mark is competitive too but I think he’d prefer taking a support role. He’s so encouraging of his members and I honestly need a little cheerleader like him in my life ;-;

💛 As much of a nagger I can be, I feel like he is the type to do this even at random moments. Like we’d be chilling together and then he’ll just say out of nowhere, “Did you eat lunch btw? I’m going to make you lunch”. He wouldn’t listen to any bullshit. He’d take care of me whether I liked it or not haha

💜 Hhmm kinda mutual here but for different things, if that makes sense? Like he’d be telling me to “take your meds and vitamins, bring a jacket, text when you get there”, etc. I’d be like “take a break for a few minutes, I’ll be there soon with some food”, etc, I need reminders for taking care of myself but I give reminders for others to take care of themselves lol

21. Who sends memes and who sends cute ‘i miss you’ texts at 3am?

💛 He’s the sappy bitch with “I miss you” texts haha and being the idiot I am, I would send him memes of himself in response XD

💜 Honestly, unless he was maybe drunk I think it would be me. Like it would very out of the blue and probably make him panic a bit oops. He’d write a long ass ride message in response though because he’d be so worried ^^’

-okay so first off i just want to say this is just my opinion and please don’t come for me if ur fave isn’t who you thought they would be

-lets begin

- johnny and ten would totally be a prank channel and its always a full blown war no one is safe even their apartment neighbors fear they might get dragged in by the odd duo 

-haechan and chenle would be hella chismosos and have a drama channel always spilling tea and indirect people they are also bffs with ORL (lol just scroll)

-sr16g would be a collab channel similar to O2l (Our 2nd Life) but ORL (Our Rookie Life) with the girls posting videos with a theme each day of the week

-yuta is the wokest youtuber always calling out other channels or celebs bs he even makes conspiracy theory videos (Proof Mark from MarksAbsolutelyCapableGaming died and was replaced by a clone)

-winwin would somehow be featured in an ORL video and the fans liked him so much he ended up creating his own channel dedicated to beauty (haircare, makeup, skincare, etc.)

-jisung oh lord this lil boy would have a toy review channel but he also reviews games, foods, places, etc. and occasionally rants when the stores are sold out of a new plushie

-taeil and doyoung have a music channel where they do covers and will play music games like 1 second song challenge, whisper challenge, hum only, etc.

-taeyong is a lifestyle youtube who does hauls and goes to cafes he also enjoys making videos with his friends (Shopping in Myeong-dong with Sicheng from BeautyWinWins)

-jaehyun has a reaction channel and often over edits his videos like pewdiepie bc he thinks he is a meme lord he also does occasional gaming with MarksAbsolutelyCapableGaming which is just 10 minutes of them screaming at each other to revive one another

-mark does gaming and comedy and although his preferred method in winning is to “scream until the buttons listen” he is really shy at meet and greets and his comedy is mainly centered around bad puns that he makes on twitch with JungJaeOfficial

-jaemin has a lifestyle channel which mostly consists of vlogs and stationary (he has a HUGE collection jeno thinks he has a serious problem) but he is most well known for his boyfriend tags where he drags jeno in once a month to mess around 

-kun has an art channel and is hella loved but only uploads once every 3 months and forgets he has an instagram 80% of the time

-hansol has an anime review channel but 50% of the time its actually him bashing on everything he wanted to happen instead and screaming at the producers for killing his favorite character (How Akame Ga Kill! SHOULD Have Ended) he is also friends with lots of other channels and often collabs with dancers on the dl because he uses a different name when dancing

-lucas and jungwoo have a baby channel maybe only like 1K but they upload hella quality so their fanbase is super dedicated they like to call themselves a mature channel but they literally uploaded a video called Becoming Fairy Princes and Finding the Love of Our Lives (it was halloween and they just handed out candy while petting every dog in sight) 

-renjun has an art channel which mostly consists of him doodling and making videos like How to Be More Productive, The Best Watercolor Techniques, Where I Buy My Fineliners, etc he also does fashion like the artsy lil shit he is giving tips on how to thrift and where to go

( ◡‿◡ *)this.. took a lot of thought lolol. sorry if some of the songs may be more or less inaccurate (there are way too many songs out there) or if you can’t open them. btw idk what the group name would be lol 

Some definitions (in case you’re not familiar with them):

- Aegyo: “cute display of affection often expressed through a cute/baby voice, facial expressions, and gestures”

- Skinship: touching, hugging or physical contact to express close friendship

- Selca: “shortened combo of the words ‘self’ and 'camera'” (basically selfie)

- Maknae: the youngest person in a group

- Bias/Bias List: favorite member(s)

- Bias Wrecker: essentially someone who “seemed to looked more appealing at a particular moment”

Himuro:

Position(s): Sub-Vocalist; Dancer

The eldest member (really mature but can still be playful *winks*)

Does not mind doing aegyo, but he’s very subtle

Likes skinship (says it’s for fan service but nah it’s all natural lmao)

His body rolls are lethal

Gets along with everyone in the dorms and has a lot of friends outside of the group (makes friends with other groups; pretty popular)

Likes taking selfies and pictures with members (often on social media)

Gets the least amount of lines and they’re mostly in English (but it’s cute)

Doesn’t change his hair for almost any comeback (no touchy!)

Likes singing upbeat songs like “Baby I’m Sorry” by B1A4 or really dramatic songs like “Cocktail” by Jonghyun

Kise:

Position(s): Vocalist; Dancer; Reminds everyone he’s the Visual

Takes the longest to get ready

Constantly updating on social media (selca king, always on the phone)

Has a busy schedule (photo shoots, show host, variety shows, etc.)

Often mistaken for the maknae because he acts like one

Midorima:

Likes everything to be clean in the dorms

Will seriously punch a wall if someone asks him to do aegyo

Practices the most (whether it’s singing or dancing)

Will bring a lucky item on stage every single time (don’t stop him)

Mostly quiet and serious but is not afraid to pass some salt

Secretly cares a lot for the other members and fans but does not show it

Banned from the kitchen (to cook)

Dislikes skinship so he’s almost always at the center of group hugs so he can’t escape (the love)

Kagami:

Almost everyone’s bias wrecker at some point

Also one of the noisiest members

Skinships with multiple members (brotherly love with Himuro makes fans scream)

Likes to cook for everyone and eats large portion meals

Will do aegyo when asked but gets embarrassed afterwards

The one most likely to be asked to go  often shirtless during live concerts

Most clumsy during practice

Kinda shy and flustered in front of the camera at first, but gets over it and becomes an energetic, cute puppy

Likes singing/rapping songs with a chill, pop-ish vibe like “Good Thing” by NCT 127 and maybe like “Solo Day” by B1A4 (probably with Himuro)

Aomine:

Position(s): Rapper; Singer; Dancer; Lyricist

Lots of body rolls (all day, every day)

Sleeps the most (and wherever he can) and the one who gets up last

Says he hates doing aegyo but does it anyway (three minutes later)

Eats a lot (sometimes steals food from the other members)

Likes skinship (with almost everyone)

Will also most likely go on stage often shirtless during live concerts

Surprisingly likes going on variety shows (would like to go on Law of the Jungle for example)

Releases solo singles often

Murasakibara:

Position(s): Surprisingly good at rapping; Vocalist

Probs the laziest and most stubborn member

It takes a whole lot of effort just to get him to practice

Likes doing aegyo, but only when he wants to

Almost always gets his clothes picked out for him (via the stylist, Himuro, or Akashi)

His singing/rapping makes fans scream (and re-evaluate your bias list) 

Somewhat does not mind skinship (usually holds on to Akashi or Himuro)

Actually goes out a lot to buy snacks (so he’s almost always seen by fans)

Takao:

Position(s): Sub-vocalist; Dancer

One of the loudest members and the other sunshine of the group

Tries to cheer everyone up when they’re feeling down

Loves doing aegyo (does it to Midorima on a regular basis)

Likes skinship (clings onto Midorima and sometimes sleeps in his bed)

Likes taking selfies and short vlogs

Also doesn’t get a lot of lines but gets a lot of screen time to make up for it

Akashi:

Position(s): Leader (even though he’s one of the youngest members); Vocalist; Attempts to rap sometimes (probably bokushi); Lyricist and composer

Will come after your bias list at some point

The most stressed member

Wakes up the earliest and even makes breakfast for everyone

Deeply cares for the other members (he’s the mom)

When the camera’s on him it’s sexy fan service time

Thinks about the fans often so he’ll always try his best to give back (through fan meets, concert goods, social media, etc.)

Can get somewhat competitive when it comes to doing aegyo

Actually looks up how to be funny because most of the time he comes off as serious and intimidating (but really he’s a cinnamon roll)

Likes emotional and deep songs like “House of Cards” by BTS; if he were to rap it may be like “Give It To Me” by Suga (bokushi mode)

Kuroko:

Position(s): Vocalist; Lyricist

Maknae (who everyone loves and protects)

Everyone’s precious child (even if he’s not your bias)

Has the least amount of stamina so he has to take multiple breaks

Aegyo on point without even trying

Sometimes uses misdirection to avoid doing chores or to prank the members (also uses it to run away)

Almost always at the center of skinship

Always brings his dog on stage (he dresses Nigou with a shirt that has the group’s name on the back)

Probably the first one out of the group to have a solo debut

Likes singing soothing songs like “This is Love” by Super Junior and like “When I Grow Up” by Seventeen
