people who watched promising young woman and are like "she should have been a serial killer murdering all those guys who took her home" fundamentally misunderstand the movie!!! cassie's desperate hope is for people to prove her wrong and that people can change for the better, that's why she gives those guys dozens of opportunities to make the right decision and actually take her home when she's pretending to be drunk, that's why she tells them off and hopes that they'll turn over a new leaf, that's why she gave every person she went after on her revenge spree the opportunity to do the right thing!!! it's also why the scene outside the lawyer's house is so important, why hearing her bf's voice on the tape is so heartbreaking, why she doesn't actually physically harm anyone in the movie!! and all but the lawyer let her down!!!!!!!

Soooo
The Sea Beast didn’t have to go that hard.
Anyway the animation reminds me of How I Trained My Dragon especially with Red and Blue. I liked this movie more.
The basic premise is imperialist nation that is “winning” the war has rewritten history is such a way to make them the good guys that deserve loyalty and respect without question for 100+ years…that sounds familiar.
Maisie I choose you Jacob as my father speech
Plus her speech to the imperials I need more of her please and thank you. The animation on her hair alone 👩🏾🍳💋. Quite frankly the animation diversity alone is a reason why I recommend this movie.
I love a good found/chosen family movie. And it was funny as well pulled in your heart strings overall very well written. And Blue should be marketed as a stuffed animal especially after it ate all that fish, “if this little bitch ain’t me” 😂🤣😂
This will be my go to movie now. Just because it’s just that good not to watch again…*which I am as I’m writing this review*. Great movie to watch with a great and important message that needs to be taught to children and adults alike. It’s also great just to have in in the background just for sea shanty music alone.
Rating A+ (a MUST watch)

I'm pretty sure this was the literal inspiration for this character/story including the death scene.

okay so the question i had coming out of lisa frankenstein was whether or not they named the mom janet specifically for the rocky horror reference or if they named her janet for unrelated reasons and realized they could put a rocky horror reference in later
