Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom Roland Crane x reader

Roland turned to his door as he heard a gentle knock.

“Come in,” he said, an expert at hiding confusion. It was far too early for anyone else but Bracken to be awake, and even if it were anyone else in the castle, everyone was busy planning a celebration in the square- Khunbish had finally won a race against Tani, and ‘the kingdom of smiles’ would dive headfirst at any opportunity for a party.

The door didn’t creak as it opened like the office door at home, and he realized then that there was far more he missed than just Will.

Y/n stuck her head in the room as the door was hardly open.

“Come in ‘come in’, or just stand-in-the-doorway ‘come in’?” She asked.

“You can come into the room, Y/n,” Roland said with a half-playful sigh. “What brings you to my room so early in the morning?”

“Bracken asked Zip for a favor-”

“Oh no.”

“And he ended up extending that favor to everyone else in Broadleaf-”

“Oh no. What did Bracken have them all doing?” Roland asked, concerned that Zip was involved in the reason Y/n was visiting him.

“Looking for this!” Y/n said happily, revealing a book she’d been hiding behind the door. Finally, she came into the room, quietly closing the door behind herself. “It’s an ancient-ancient tome. Like, Allegoria ancient. Ancient as Mornstar.”

“Why was Bracken looking for an ancient tome? And why are you bringing it to me?” Roland asked, professional composure withering away as it usually did when he was confronted with magic.

“I asked Bracken and Leander if they knew of any ways I could learn about your world,” Y/n said softly, padding across the room in slippered feet to sit on the edge of Roland’s bed. “Leander’s still doing what he can, but he’s just one man. Bracken had all of Broadleaf doing research, and you know how good they all are at research.”

“Yeah… Makes sense they’d find something quick,” Roland agreed, nodding. “Why are you interested in my world?”

Y/n was silent for a moment, absentmindedly tracing the cover of the book with one of her fingers.

“I had a dream,” she said softly. Roland could be very stick-up-the-ass-ish at times, and she didn’t know his thoughts on weird dreams. “You were there. You were older, though. About Batu’s age, maybe, but it didn’t seem odd at all. You were in an odd office, though. The walls looked like the kind in Ding Dong Dell, but the floor seemed very Goldpaw-esque, and all the furniture was like Broadleaf with more wood and less metal. You looked so natural and comfortable there, I thought it had to be a place from your world. And that made me curious.”

Roland’s brow furrowed as he grimaced, and Y/n watched silently as he reached up and stroked his ponytail thoughtlessly.

“That sounds just like my office at home,” he said quietly, nodding as he let his hand fall into his lap. “I used to hate that place, but now I miss it.”

“Oh, Roland,” Y/n said sympathetically, setting the book down next to her. Roland just looked at her and smiled.

Will.

“Sorry. I get sentimental when I’m alone,” he said reassuringly. “It’s not so bad when I’m with you. It makes me happy that you’re interested in my home.”

“…I once heard you mention someone named William,” Y/n said hesitantly. He’d been in quite the mood when she’d overheard him, and she didn’t know if she was pushing a boundary. “Is William someone from your world, too?”

Roland’s heart caught in his throat and he looked around the room in a daze, half-panicked. He only calmed when he felt a soft hand on his shoulder. He set his over hers and took a deep-yet-shaky breath. The nightmare he’d had before fighting Doloran still crossed his mind every now and then.

“Yes,” he answered simply. Y/n could hear a certain sadness in his voice.

“Do you miss him, too?”

“Every day,” Roland said softly.

Y/n took Roland’s hand gently, leading him to stand from his desk. She tugged him over to the bed, letting him sit on the edge next to the book. She circled the bed as Roland clearly drowned himself in sad thoughts. 

“Can you tell me who he is?” Y/n asked quietly as she clambered onto the bed behind the chief consul. Soft as ever, a gentleness Roland loved about her, she reached out and undid his ponytail, combing through his hair with her fingers.

“He’s my son,” Roland said, surprising Y/n. “In my world, I am around Batu’s age. I don’t know how or why I’m so young here. He’s about Evan’s age. I didn’t see him very often. He practically lived in the hospital.”

“I didn’t know you were a father,” Y/n said, trying to comb a knot out of Roland’s hair without hurting him. “It must be hard being away from him. You hide it pretty well that you miss your home.”

Roland moaned contently as Y/n’s fingers brushed against his neck and his cheeks flushed red at Y/n’s quiet giggle. He realized then that he hadn’t had the company of a woman he loved in years.

“It’s a skill you have to learn when you’re a politician,” he explained awkwardly. “I essentially held the same position as Zip back in my world.”

“And yet you have a certain disdain for him,” Y/n mused. “Not that that’s uncalled for, I think we all do.”

“Except Bracken,” Roland pointed out, letting out a satisfied hum as Y/n tied his now-smoother hair back into its usual ponytail.

“Except Bracken,” she repeated. “I’m sure Evan reminds you of William, doesn’t he? Isn’t that hard on you?”

“He does, in a way, but they’re very different,” Roland said, turning on his bed to face Y/n. “It’s not as hard as it should be, I think, probably because they’re so different from one another. But I think both of them could manage without me- That’s the worst part.”

“It may be the worst part, but it’s also the most untrue,” Y/n said, grinning smugly. “Without you, Evan would’ve lost to Mausinger a long time ago. Think of all the things you’ve done both for him and with him. If you left, he’d be crushed, and I’m sure it’s the same for Will. You may not see him much, but you love him, right? I’m sure he loves you, too.”

“Yeah… He’s one of my main reasons to keep living,” Roland admitted, smiling sadly to himself. “Sure, I have a country to run, but I also have a child to raise.”

“If he’s part you, I’m sure he's a great kid,” Y/n said. “You’re certainly a good father figure to Evan. If I could, I think I’d like to meet Will. You smile when you talk about him.”

“I can’t wait to see him again,” Roland said quietly. “Whether that means when I go back to my world or when I die, I don’t know.”

“I’m sure you’ll make it back to your world someday,” Y/n said reassuringly. “But, not to be selfish, I hope that’s not too soon. I’d miss you.”

“I’d miss you, too,” Roland said. “If you ever get lost in my world, come find me, okay?”

“I will,” Y/n said, smiling. “If I get lost in your world, you’re the only person -I think- who could help.”

“Not to be selfish,” Roland started, grinning knowingly at Y/n, “but if I’m home with Will again, I hope you do get lost in my world. I realized today I even miss the things I hate, but I already know how much I miss the things I love.”

☽ Exhaustion evident in his features as he allows himself to rest in your arms after a long day of work. Building a kingdom up from scratch isn't an easy feat.

☽ He's used to having his walls up constantly, needing to be be wary of everyone he meets. He can never be sure who or who not to trust, so, to have him show complete vulnerability around you is a huge sign of trust.

☽ He's a gentleman, he treats his S/O like royalty because to him, that's what you deserve. (And he'd be right, don't settle for anything less besties :rolling_eyes: /hj)

So after everything is resolved and he's found out to not actually be a spy he showers you with affection to make up for the heartbreak he put you through.

“So… just because you’re the great knight of Evermore means you’re indestructible?”

The obvious purple bruises on your arms never felt more shameful than ever. Even if you pulled your sleeves to cover them, it doesn’t change the fact that the entire royal court saw them. The Lizalfos that ambushed your group were too much for them to strike back that you had to distract them just to let the others escape.

“It was a good plan.” You said from the silence. “The Lizalfos were too much for us so I had to distract them. I had more experience dealing with them then you are.”

Roland’s vexed expression didn’t change. Despite the dimly lit corridor, his eyes showed absolute disappointment much like a father when he catches his child in the act of doing something out of line. He moved from his leaning position on the wall and walked towards you, him a few feet apart from you.

“Uh huh.” He stated, voice as dry as a brick. “Doesn’t seem like your experience helped you too much.”

You clicked your tongue, returning his irritated face with your own. “My experience is that I can withstand more hits than all of you and hit back harder. These bruises don’t matter to me when I served my purpose.”

Roland scoffed, crossing his arms and you had to avoid watching his biceps from his tight black shirt. “Your purpose doesn’t include being a meat shield.”

You had to chew the inside of your cheek in fear of yelling. So you went up to him, eliminating the space between you two to the point your noses were touching. “Well my body doesn’t matter when all I am is a shield to Evan…!”

You’d think with your experience out in the wild, you would’ve anticipated his attack. But you didn’t. You didn’t expect Roland, chief advisor of Evermore, to grab your shoulder and pin you against the wall. His body covered yours, his breath fanning over your face as your eyes widened at the new position.

“It matters to everyone,” He rasped, mouth turning into a slight snarl, “including me. So if you think that you’re just another soldier to replace then you’re dead wrong.”

This side of Roland was new, almost fearful that a man  like him was able to look this sinister.

… And yet so alluring at the same time.

You swallowed your spit, unable to form any cohesive sentences as you froze under his stare. The hand on your shoulder wasn’t tight but it had a firm hold on it. “I-I…”

“We’ll talk this out with Evan tomorrow morning.” He decides. “And you have no say in this. I better expect you to comply.”

And with that, he stepped out of your personal space and went the opposite way to his living quarters. The warmth of his body so close to yours was still prevalent that you had to kneel down.

You just hoped that your flustered face wouldn’t be obvious tomorrow morning.

This is just gonna be one long self callout post but I do think it's gonna be funny

"Persona 5 oneshots" (published) - actually pretty decent for what it is but there's only three published parts. fortunately the published ones are actually better than the three unpublished drafts oof- 7/10

"🥺ruv" (draft) - I don't want to talk about this and also I put way too much effort into attempting Russian dialogue 1/10

"The Queen {Ben Hardy as Roger Taylor x Reader}" (published) - out of every fic I've ever written and across every fanfiction platform I've used, this is the most successful fic. I've held the number one spot in several tags and still hold high spots 1000/10

"ni no kuni ii revenant kingdom oneshots" (published) - 10/10 only because I could not for the life of me find any nnk2 fanfiction out there so I wrote my own (it's not good though, although I am using it as a fandomswap AU with bnha)

"The Contract" (draft) - it had potential when it was just a concept but execution was terrible. It took a turn for the worse and now has the same vibes as being sold to one direction. the plot was sign this contract and you marry loki and teach him earth etiquette so he doesn't go on an alien murder rampage again 0/10

"Loki x reader bumbles" (draft) - what the fuck is a bumble? it ended up splitting into three different fics all at once and they were all bad. One was overworked maid reader is assigned as loki's personal caretaker, one was Tony stark's little sister babysits loki on the regular while the avengers are out Doing Thingsᵀᴹ (that one was titled trash gremlin), and the other was Loki finds out his lover lied to him about her past and gets mad at her and she breaks down and goes into a coma for hundreds of years and when she reawakens Asgard is destroyed and Loki's dead 2/10

"multifandom oneshots requests only" (unpublished) - it ruined my life -1000/10

"a foreign trickster" (draft) - 9/10 on potential I might come back to this one and try to fix it. it's a post-game persona 5 fic about a half-Japanese girl moving to Japan from America except she was a part of a group similar to the phantom thieves and the metaverse reappears when she arrives maybe 4/10 overall

"My Best Friend" (published) - glorious although maybe not the best quality. It's a Brian May x childhood friend reader fic and for most of the beginning every other chapter is a childhood memory 9/10

"You digifucked up" (draft) - I don't wanna talk about it 0/10

"hfjavnbchvxgyjgmbnas" (draft) - I have no idea what this was supposed to be but it ended up as a three paragraph disgrace of a roy mustang fic 0/10

"Is orochimaru babie" (draft) - one point for each chapter none of them were good and the only actual substance was a breakdown fic 2/10

"Naruto x reader oneshots" (published) - pretty okay, has a decent amount of reads and comments 5/10

"Me, having watched five episodes: hnnngh fanfic" (draft) - 10/10 for nostalgia, first bnha fic I ever wrote. Is actually a great idea and is in the works to be reworked and posted here on tumblr as a cyo multichap like a 6/10 overall

"Peter Parker x Avenger Reader" (draft) - no <3 it was about Peter and his girlfriend both mutually breaking up with each other because they're both tony's underlings and they slowly fall for each other's superhero alter egos 0/10

"Yoosungi~" (draft) - I started writing a yoosung fic where reader was his best friend at school and was mad that he was obsessing over mc being 'just like rika uwu' and then it slowly turned into reader unfriending him and moving in with seven and then dating seven I don't know what happened there 0/10

"Land" (unpublished) - first noncon fic I ever wrote but I don't wanna get into it. Also the title was originally a keysmash but it autocorrected to land and I kept it 1/10

"Nigihayami Kohakunushi x reader" (draft) - wow conceited much? -10/10

"Howl & Sophie but not bc fight" (draft) - I was jealous of an anime girl and needed a fix-it fic 0/10

"Akiba's Beat" (draft) - ongoing pet project of mine. one of those fics that is for me and me only. gets a good rating because I love it. nearing 700 chapters and it's like seventeen different stories going on at once but I am in love with basically everyone in that game (bar mippity mop and saki) 10000000/10

"Queen Texts" (published) - gets fairly good interaction for some reason. I only wrote it to jump on the "group chat text fic" bandwagon I don't understand the hype also none of the jokes were funny ?? 6/10

"BNHA oneshots" (draft) - by 'oneshots' I guess I meant half a kaminari fic and a decent start to a decent shigaraki fic, might circle back to that one actually idk 0/10

"double-edged sword" (draft) - good concept? the first crossover fic I ever attempted. I got impatient after writing the first chapter though so the second chapter is a massive time skip to the juicer parts of the story thank god no one else has ever seen this 5/10

"more persona 5 bullshit" (draft) - the concept was ok and the execution was okay but it was also kinda ??? reader was Akira's sister and hooked up with Yusuke and Akira got mad and then reader 'woke a persona' except not she was just a floating jester who had some power pertaining to confidants' tarot cards or something 3/10

"No Secrets Spilled" (draft) - another persona 5 fic I had an obsession I'm aware. I have no idea what the fuck was happening it was about a reader who's super good at keeping secrets, one of those secrets being she's the sidekick to a cyber criminal being hunted by the phantom thieves 2/10

"Coaster Crazy" (draft) - a Joe mazzello fic about aspiring actress reader getting cast as his love interest in a film called coaster crazy. I liked it but I gave up on it because it was too much effort trying to come up with a 'script' for a 'film' 5/10

"Queenies: Rated M for Mature" (unpublished) - was a collaboration with some friends who turned out to be a bunch backstabbing motherfuckers -10/10 bad memories

"sky rim one shots?" (meant to be read in the same tone as bill wurtz saying majapahit) (draft) - it is simply one draft that was barely even a start to a fic. an elf banished from the silver crescents comes to Delvin to join the guild. she was banished because she kept wasting her earnings trying to find her best friend (lover) Nir for years and years and years. Turns out Nir changed his name to Niruin when his father disowned him 4/10

"the rfa is one big party" (draft) - gives off vibes like a fic from 2011. it's equal parts zen x jaehee, seven x yoosung, reader x jumin, except it's like a gazillion chapters of buildup (all through 'texts') that slowly leads to everyone living together and that's literally as far as I got 1/10

"BoRhap Cast/Queen Trioshots" (unpublished) - trioshots are not a real thing I don't think I'm pretty sure I made that up but they should be (only just now realizing they are a thing but they're called trilogies) they should be more common in fanfiction I think anyway they were pretty bad it would be 5/10 but I'm subtracting points for a particularly sad trioshot about roger's girlfriend reader being cheated on and then realizing her best friend John is the perfect man for her so 1/10

"akiba's beat x persona 5 crossover fic" (draft) - been there done that and didn't even try to give it a better title. this one was about reader being a hacker and doing basically the same thing Futaba did to try and lure the phantom thieves to violet eden because she was suspicious about the metaverse and delusions being similar 0/10

"Candy Shop fanfiction" (draft) - gonna be straight up with this one: this was fanfiction of a porn game series about a dude named Andy fucking girls made of different types of candy (and one time also fucking his coworker who is the daughter of satan) -10/10 not a good thought

"...even more persona 5 bullshit" (draft) - I really gave up with titles, huh. In which reader is a quiet reserved girl in Akira's class who occasionally skips a day of school and comes back the next day having pulled a stunt like keying a teacher's car or tp-ing the school. anyway ryuji found a secret admirer note (from reader obviously) and found out it was her and tried to ask her out but Ann reminded him they were going to do "charity work" after school but then Y/n followed them into Kamoshida's castle and ended up waking a persona not even for herself, she was just mad Kamoshida hurt Ryuji lmao 0/10

"[redacted] x me" (draft) - not me fantasizing about my hot teacher oop- 0/10 he'd think it's creepy and so do I

"Jareth is a babie" (draft) - the reader was Sarah's niece and she gave her the book for her birthday and then reader wandered into the underground and met jareth and that's where it ended 1/10

"LOLOL" (draft) - back in the days of good ol' RinMaru Games, I used all the necromancer makers and warrior makers and thief makers and based all their designs on MC and then tried to write a yoosung fic that took place almost entirely in the world of lolol 2/10 I miss rinmaru so much

"oh okay" (draft) - literally I just wrote the lead up and the part where you go to the dawnstar sanctuary and see arnbjorn and then go inside to find Cicero except I made the reader character yell responses to everything Cicero said 0/10

"I'm a dangerous man, MC" (draft) - written before I completed Seven's route, and I have never played other story, so I have no idea what I was thinking. Based solely on the fact that seven doesn't shut up about being dangerous, I decided to write some bullshit fic about Saeran hacking the reader's phone to stop contact with her bff seven oh seven and slowly manipulate her into thinking "oh wait is he serious? is he dangerous?" and eventually coercing her into letting him "kidnap" her and they basically run away together and seven is after them the whole time to rescue the reader and idk it was weird 1/10 just because I spent too much time on it

"it's just more jareth" (draft) - three chapters of my venting about the backstabbing motherfuckers from "queenies: rated m for mature" (see above). it was supposed to be a comfort fic where I dump my "friends" and wish for jareth to take me away and then he does and we fall in love but I didn't get very far 1/10

"Cheydinhal" (draft) - another ongoing pet project, slowly growing into a longer and longer sob story. It starts far in the past, when Cicero first moves into the cheydinhal sanctuary after his home in bruma is destroyed. he makes friends with a fellow member of the Black Hand and then one day she disappears (it's called a prison sentence, cicero, she was tried for murder) and then they're separated for years but meet again decades later on the roads of Skyrim. reunited, they fall in love. nazir is confused 1000000/10 my favorite wip

"no thanks" (draft) - ??? like three sentences??? I think it was an OHSHC fic??? 0/10

"Cicero not even oneshots anymore" (draft) - Serana's sister reader falls in love with the jester basically 0/10 not good at all

"Sims 4 boyfriend imagines" (draft) - I lost a bet. the only thing there is vampire au imagines. I wanna hate this but I think about soft Vlad too often 5/10

"My Name Is Me" (draft) - literally what the fuck. this was an original thing and not fanfiction but ??? It's about a kid named Me You what the fuck. Anyway his secret spy uncle dies and it's up to Me and his friends to finish his uncle's last mission idk 0/10

"fanfiction mistakes that piss me off" (draft) - would've been popular in 2008 I think. the entire first chapter is just the word orbs a bunch of times. I also called my general audience "thottie ass hoes" but only specifically if they "don't read a/n 's (author's note)" 0/10

"The Princess {Joe Mazzello x Reader}" (draft) - it was supposed to be a sequel to "The Queen" (mentioned up there somewhere^^) but there's literally nothing there it's a blank document you guys wtf 0/10

"this*has*no*plot" (draft) - another original thing. I didn't get far with it but it's about a beautiful princess with lots of suitors but no will to get married so she sneaks out of her window one night and goes on an adventure except she keeps meeting interesting people who are the main character of their own stories whereas she is a temporary side character in all of their stories. It's meant to seem as if there no movement in the story, just her being a stepping stone in other stories that we do not follow 0/10

"pleas" (draft) - another original thing but I'll be damned if I can tell you what it's about. Time travel? Super powers? A bunch of different characters who all knew this "max" guy at different time periods and he leads them all to a wine cellar hidden in a forest at a certain point in time and then there's like five of "max" but all different ages?? Hey there, so I’ve started this blog to write shorter stuff than what I normally do, so I wan to do short oneshots. I’d love to get some requests, but please read the fandoms I’ll write for and the rules.

Did you watch Stampy play NNK? That's how I was introduced to it as kid

OMG YES. Stampy was the first ever youtuber I watched and to this day, many years later, I am so happy I grew up watching him and not some other youtubers at the time.

I had his book, some merch, even the app if anyone remembers that. I loved stampy so much, and I'm so grateful to him because he's a big reason for who I am today. His NNK playthrough was one of my favorite playthroughs of his, including his Papa and Yo playthrough, and the unfinished swan playthrough. Even now if I'm really going through it I'll turn on stampy and watch some of his older minecraft adventure world videos.

Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom Khunbish x Sky Pirate!Reader

I sat on the ground, my legs dangling off the edge of the cliff. The bustle of pirates was a calming sound to me. Having grown up around these people, I swear I could tell you who was who just by hearing footsteps. I knew everyone well, save for maybe Munokhoi, but we were on good terms despite his constant nervousness.

Someone plopped themself down right next to me heavily and heaved a sigh. I grinned.

"Long day?" I asked.

"Aye," Khunbish groaned. "An' it ain't even noon."

"What've ye been doin'? Seems like you do an awful lot sometimes, seems like you do awful little at others," I noted.

"Well, I was goin' through yer stuff earlier an' found these," he said, handing me my own earrings. "They're awful pretty, it'd be a shame if someone was to take 'em."

"Why were you goin' through my things?" I asked. "An' keep 'em, I don' wear 'em. They're too heavy, I like these ones more."

I gestured to the dangly earrings I wore made from clear crystals and feathers.

"Well, those sure are nice, too," Khunbish said. He grinned. "But I think we both know who got the best earrings around."

I reached out and flicked the triangular gem of his earring.

"Yeah, they're nice," I said. "If ya want to look stupid. Why were you goin' through my things?"

"Uh, Boss's orders," he said quickly.

"Want to get away?" I asked, standing up.

"Where'ould we go?" He asked, standing up with me.

"The lake in Snaketooth Ridge," I said. "S'a nice place to relax aft' a long day. Whaddya say, Khun?"

He smiled softly, giving me that look he'd give me when he just couldn't say no. He could never resist when I called him Khun. It was a trick I'd picked up from his partner, and Chingis and I were the only ones who knew about the greenie's soft spot for nicknames.

"Daredevil," he muttered, grinning. "Sure, I'll go. Boss'll kill me when I get back, but it's worth it."

"You say that like the Boss don't already got hundreds o' reasons to throw you off the cliff and leave you for th' wyverns," I said, laughing. "But we're glad he ain't that cruel. He'd never say it, but the Boss likes ya. Thinks you got some potential in you yet."

"Potential?" Khunbish repeated.

"Rumor says you'll be Boss when he gives in," I said. Khunbish stared at me in shock.

"Me!? Takin' over for the Snake?" He asked. He scoffed. "I could never."

"Yeah, you could never be a snake," I said. "Maybe ye'd be the Cloud Frog."

"Hey!" Khunbish exclaimed, glaring at me. "Thought we said we ain't mentionin' the frog thing ever again."

"Sorry, mate," I said, chuckling. "Let's get t'the lake, Greenie."

"Oi, don't call me mate like ye've not told half the folk yer in love wi' me," he said, giving me a flat stare. I grimaced.

"You caught wind o' that?" I asked. He rolled his eyes.

"Rumors spread fast an' wide," he said.

The walk to the lake seemed much shorter than usual, and I couldn't place why. When we got there, I untied my belt and let it fall to the ground with a clunk. I could feel Khunbish's eyes on me as I took off my shirt and rid myself of my shorts.

"What?" I asked. "Stop staring and take yer damn pants off!"

I took a running start and jumped into the lake, doing a flip underwater once I was below the surface. I came back to the surface to see him standing where I'd just been. His hat and shirt were off, as were his shoes, but he was still wearing his pants.

"The pants're stayin' on," he said, walking over to sit down and dip his feet in the water.

"Don't be lame, Khunbish, come on!" I said. He huffed. "Just be rid of 'em and join me!"

"No. Maybe if I had a few drinks in me," he said. I gave him a questioning look. "I don't got anythin' on under! I ain't gonna expose a lady to that. It's indecent."

"Oh," I said simply. "Well, then either jump in with 'em on, or I'm takin' off my undergars an' we're skinny dippin' together."

"What?" Khunbish asked, clearly taken aback.

"You heard me," I said, crossing my arms. "Yer either gettin' those precious pants o' yers wet, or we're both gonna be indecent."

Khunbish looked like he was frozen to his spot, so I sighed heavily and reached behind myself to untie my fabric bra. I swam over to the shore and threw it at my pile of clothes. Khunbish stared at me in shock.

"Yer really just gonna...?" His eyes were comically wide.

"So? Pants on or off, Khun?" I asked. He gave me a quick glare, his eyes saying 'seriously?' but then he looked at me with those eyes he wore when he couldn't say no.

"How 'bout pants on, bra off?" He asked, sliding into the water. I laughed.

"Y'know what? Sure," I said, rolling my eyes. "Nothin' wrong with showin' a bit o' skin to the guy I love, right?"

"What was that poem you used to recite all the time when you got nervous 'bout flyin' again?" He asked, swimming a little further out and trying to float on his back.

"The breath of the bird is the breath of the wind?" I asked. He nodded, closing his eyes and basking in the sun as he floated. "Yeah... Imagine a sky pirate 'fraid o' flyin'. What a coward."

"You wasn't a coward," Khunbish said. "Jus' afraid o' fallin' out."

"Yeah," I said slowly. "So, uh, what'd you think 'bout that rumor 'bout me lovin' you an' all?"

"Thought it was fake," he said. "Never loved a woman who loved me back before."

"What?" I asked, surprised. Next thing I knew, he was splashing me in the face. "Khunbish!"

He just laughed as I splashed him back, then he lunged at me, making both of us fall beneath the surface. His hair fanned out in the water, looking softer than I think it really was, and the both of us locked eyes for a moment before he kissed me. I pulled away instinctively, pushing myself to the surface.

I could tell he was going to ask me why I'd pulled away when he popped up from the water, so I just kissed him again instead of letting him speak.

"What was that about?" He asked once we broke apart.

"I'm not 'bout to drown myself just because a green-haired frog wanted to kiss me in the lake," I said, grinning.

"Hey!"

Both of us turned to look at the lakeshore when we heard the loud cry. Khunbish paled.

"He's gonna kill me for sure this time," he muttered as I covered my chest.

"Hey, Boss," I said nervously.

"Please, do explain what this is," Batu said demandingly.

"Well, Khun was having a bad day, so I-"

"Khunbish? Don't ye've got work to do?" Batu asked.

"Y-Yes, Boss," Khunbish said, swimming back to the lakeshore. Batu eyed my pile of clothes and he froze when he saw my bra. Even though I was covering myself, my chest was below the water, and I guessed he hadn't noticed.

"You know what?" Batu asked, narrowing his eyes at me for a moment. "Take the rest o' the day off."

"I told you, Khunbish!" I said excitedly. "He does like you!"

As you may know, I…accidentally destroyed my computer OTL And there was the original draft of the rest of the fic. I wrote down most that I could remember, and I think I got it all, or at least 95% of it. It’s just the fluffy shenanigans, more bonding moments, so I think it’s fine to give you a few teasers of what’s to come!!

I still have to arrange correctly the summary bits, but what’s soon to happen are these things:

Gladio sees Ignis sewing something, and he gets an idea. He has a dear piece of clothing that’s ripped in the center, so he asks Ignis if he could please fix it. Gladio’s really shy and hesitating about it, really insecure, and Ignis can do but wonder just what this cape means to him, but doesn’t question him and accepts fixing it. ‘It’s special’, is all that Gladio explains. Any guess what it may be? Only clue is, it’s also special for Iris.

Not in next chapter, maybe in 1 or 2 more, we’ll get a bit more of Ravus, maybe his last one until the “plot twist”. A Tenebraean dessert makes its first appearance here, and helps a lot! We also see Aranea again, after another search mission failed.

There were four different demo scenarios to play through. The first being a real-time strategy game, which is new to the series. You took charge of two ally units, battling opponents all around a map. The second scenario, you were thrust straight into a boss battle as you took down minions before subduing the main man. Thirdly, you were up against another more difficult boss encounter. During these trails, you could use melee attacks, magical abilities and elemental creatures known as Higgledies, which are used to cast spells. When you told him that fighting a Lynel in the rain is a messy fight, you weren’t kidding.

His clothes were already neatly folded on his bed, noting in his head to thank the maids for the fresh set. Now that he’s fully healed and relaxed, his mind wanders to what would happen to the construction of the new building of Evermore. There were a surplus of citizens that require homes and while the kingdom was expanding, there wasn’t enough materials for all of them. Niall would happily supply some but even then they wouldn’t have enough manpower to finish them all quickly enough.

Still, maybe with the determination of the Sky Pirates might be enough. They were a rambunctious bunch but they were good people. They could probably get the job done if given enough drinks and meat—

He didn’t think his thought process would be this deep to not notice his surroundings. He couldn’t even do anything when you opened the door and saw him standing at the center of his room, with no shirt and only loose trousers. Your eyes widened at the sight, and he assumes that whatever you were abobut to say died in your throat.

He stuttered your name, his voice cracking as he made a mad dash for his shirt and covering his upper torso. “I didn’t hear you–I mean, d-don’t look!”

His outburst shook you out of it as you stared at the flustered sight of Roland. While it was a surprise for you, you can’t help but imprint the image into memory as you shut the door and covered your face in your hands. Roland with his hair down, with no shirt and loose pants was a sight that you would never forget.

So i know it's a old game, but ni no Kuni right? (Do you even still think about it?) (Spoilers) What if Oliver uses time beach to save his mother? Not a request just want to know your thoughts

Here's the thing, Oliver already used breach time to return to the present after getting sent to past Hamelin. Because the spell can only be used once per caster, he wouldn't have been able to use it again to go save his mom.

However, in a hypothetical scenario where it is possible, I think it would cute, but backtrack on a lot of the character development Oliver goes through. Ni No Kuni's main theme is about loss, almost every character loses something in the game. Whether it's an actual person or a piece of themselves, each major character has to learn how to move on from losing said thing. Take Marcassin for example, he loses his father, which causing him to lose his belief when he gets older. When he gets his belief back, he has to learn how to be more confident in himself and his ablities, while also reparing the relationship with his brother.

With Oliver, he has to learn to move past his mothers death so that he can grow. Throughout the story he learns more and more about his mother and eventually she discovers shes truly gone and it causing his to question what his entire journy was for. He eventually realizes it was for the people he's saved/helped along his adventure and while his mother is gone, her impact is left on the world through Oliver.

So in conclusion, I don't think Oliver wouldn've used breach time, cause it would just be a bad story desision. Also he literally cant.

Childhood best friends to lovers with Marcassin

A/N: I am so sorry for how long i disappeared, honestly I just have a really thought time with inspiration. If you guys ever want to discuss Ni No Kuni with me or any other video games feel free. Anyway here are some headcanons about growing up with Marcassin (my favorite boy). Also btw this isn’t edited so forgive me for any grammar mistakes, I’ll most likely come back and fix things later.

* I see this going one of two ways, either you’re a noble who grew up with Marcassin or you were a commoner.

* If you were a noble along with Marcassin, you two would most likely would most likely be forced to be friend. Both of your parents would make you hang out in the hope that a friendship blooms and you two could be betrothed later in life.

* It would likely be a difficult friendship since you wouldn’t be from Hamelin and couldn’t see each other all the time. Your only way of communication during this time would be letters, and even then those wouldn’t always suffice.

* During your times in Hamlien however, you both would spend time playing pranks on the noble men and women and maids around the castle. During his youth, Marcassin was somewhat of a troublemaker, something that mellowed out as he got older.

* You two could confide in each other about struggles no one else would understand, something that deeped your bond.

* Marcassin rarely would come to your home kingdom, but when he did, you were ecstatic. Together would you spend the time you had together exploring shops and libraries, urging him to take something home to remember you by.

* You two would get married once you became an adult, but your relationship barely changed. You both loved being in each others presence, even before you were married, to the point where you were teased by Gascon because of it.

* If this went the other way and you were a commoner in Hamelin, your relationship would definitely have more ups and downs.

* I could imagine you having some resentment for the young prince, as he lived a life of luxury while you were the exact opposite.

* You would see him during royal processions, small and cowerly, hiding behind his father, the emperor, shielding himself from the world around him. In those moments, you couldn’t help but feel bad for him.

* You two would meet while him and his brother were practicing magic in the caves around Hamelin, and would tease him for his lack in magical capabilities. His brother oblivious retaliated, daring to almost hit you before Marcassin grabbed him and told him to nock it off. You were just as surprised at his brother that he had the guts to stand up for some random commoner, and the rest was history.

* Ever since then, you would meet Marcassin in disguise in the alleyways around Hamelin, taking him on adventures around the kingdom since he was almost always in the palace. It was always so strange seeing him so out of his element, but it was endearing seeing a side of him no one else saw.

* Of course the idea of you two being together crossed both your minds as you got older, and you could help to think Marcassin would leave you. You knew how important he was, with him being both a great sage and an emperor, but you wanted to be selfish with him.

* He wanted to selfish with you two, but he knew you had obligations, and deep down he didn’t feel worthy of your love.

* Sadly, there is a chance your relationship could end because of simple miscommunication, however Marcassin doesn’t fear bearing your heart to you, telling you he wants to spend the rest of his life with you, even if that means pulling a page out his brothers book and running away with you. As he held you with tears in his eyes, you couldn’t help but be reminded of his younger days were he would cry into your shoulder, wailing about how strict his father could be.

* In both scenarios he trusts you with his life. You are strong and independent and he knows you will always be there to help him. He will also do whatever he can to keep you safe as well. You were there when his brother left, you were there when his father died, and you were there when his belief was taken from him. You helped him at his darkest moments, and he would do them same in a heartbeat.

* When he eventually meets up with Swaine again, he will love for you to spend time with him, but hates when he tells you embarrassing things about his time as a baby, doing anything he possibly could to get you away from his brother before he said something terrible.

* He would also love you being friends with Oliver and the gang, so happy that he has a group of people that cares about him. He’s happy that he has you of course, but he’s beaming with pride over the found family he’s curated in such a short amount of time, and he wouldn’t trade it for the world.
