I don't want to imply only Arya antis think she'll go to the Riverlands first lol I'm pretty sure us Arya stans came up with the theory she'll reunite with Lady Stoneheart and give her the gift of mercy in the first place. Unfortunately though there are a lot of people whose speculation for Arya starts and ends at her killing people and disappearing off the face of the earth or realizing "revenge is bad" and then doing absolutely nothing afterwards. Though one thing I've seen very common with Arya antis is the idea that she'll effectually never reunite with any of her family members or identify as Arya going forward, either staying in the shadows or dying nameless or faceless without anyone recognizing her. That's a bit that worries me somewhat with her returning to the Riverlands first thing. Most Arya fans do expect her to be crowned by Lady Stoneheart and lead the BWB and Nymeria's pack up north but a lot of speculation from non-Arya fans ends up similar to Arya's reunion with Sansa and Bran in season 7; out of the loop, out of place, her journey treated as boring compared to the others, underwhelming reunions, conveniently out of the picture long enough so she can't ruin relationships that otherwise wouldn't happen with her present, secondary to Sansa.
One thing I think gets overlooked is how close Braavos is to Westeros. I've seen a lot of people act like Sansa in the Vale is a hop, skip, and a jump away from the Wall while treating Braavos like it's as far away as Meereen but they're actually about the same distance away. Braavos does appear to be perfectly placed if his original intent was for Arya to end up somewhere in the North, whether at the Wall, White Harbor, or even Hardhome.
But mostly I reject the idea that Arya will end up secondary to her brothers if she goes North. I have faith in GRRM loving Arya too much to ever treat her the way the show did in seasons 7 and 8. I think she has a role to play in the North considering how much of the Northern plots in ADWD are tied together with the "Arya"-Ramsay marriage and Jeyne. Stansas ASOIAF fans really believe that Jeyne will have absolutely no intersection with the person she's impersonating despite GRRM spelling it out that she's almost guaranteed to sail to Braavos for safety. It makes absolutely no sense to believe Jeyne would go to Braavos and never even encounter Arya. We also know GRRM intended for the Stark direwolves to go against Ramsay's hounds at some point in the future of which there's about nine named ones so far. Sounds like Ramsay will find out what wolves to do dogs ;) That may be enough to overwhelm Ghost or Shaggydog even if together but even a fraction of Nymeria's pack going north with her could handle them. I also refuse to believe Lady Stoneheart will die again before encountering a resurrected Jon. There's been rumors she and her men have been seen disappearing into the Neck which did lead to in book speculation the BWB has some contact with the Crannogmen. Arya can also be a bridge between Bran and Jon if GRRM keeps the estrangement between them.
And I really want Roose to find out he was in fact careless with a prize of great worth by not realizing he had the real Arya Stark under his nose in Harrenhal as his cupbearer lol. It'd be a shame if he died before finding out. But I do agree that she could go to either location and GRRM could make it work. I seem to remember jokes about GRRM being stuck because there are too many locations he wants her to be in lol.
I didn't think you were implying that, I just wanted to clarify that there were valid reasons for her heading to the riverlands and that I agree that some people only theorize that because they view the North as the most important location so they ignore her connections to it. I agree with a lot of your points and it's very frustrating that Arya's arc gets reduced so much because people refuse to see her as an important character. A majority of the theories surrounding her are the barest bones and people only expect her to leave the faceless men, kill [x] character, and then fuck off in a boat while her siblings (i.e. Sansa) carry the bulk of the Northern plot. The reality is that Arya's arc is difficult to predict because she has so many plot setups. There is an entire arc in Braavos waiting to play out, she has connections to the Northern plot, and she has plenty to do in the Riverlands. Arya is one of George's favorite characters and he's spent a lot of time developing her for a reason, so safe to say that whatever route he ends up taking it's going to be well-written and respectful to her character.

So I saw Dune Part 2 yesterday and I was initially super crushed because of the deviation from book canon but the more I think about it the more I sorta like it…
So without further ado here’s a list of stuff I liked about Dune Part 2:
- all the scenes initially of Paul growing closer to the Fremen. You can clearly see that they become friends, accept him as a Feydakin, that they’re laughing, joking, hanging out. (And contrast that to the end of the movie, where Paul has no more Fremen friends, only followers. In the book, this is echoed, where Paul recognizes that he has lost his friends to the Muad’Dib religion. Take book Stilgar, who truly embodies this… by the end of the book, Paul says: “I have seen a friend [Stilgar] become a worshipper.”
- giving Chani explicit rejection of Paul’s messiah status was an interesting choice. Chani’s main thought over part 2 is that they don’t need religion to save them, that through Fremen power and desert power, the Fremen can save themselves. She recognizes that this fanatical worship can be a vehicle to control and enslave her people, and I sorta wish we saw Paul lean into that more… that they found a way to stay together and ‘fight’ the prophecy together based on Chani’s ideals…
- also, I love how engrained this rejection of religion and prophecy is in her character. Book Chani takes no issue with her Fremen name, Sihaya (desert spring), but movie Chani hates it “because it’s part of some prophecy.” Later, we see that despite her rejection of prophecy and religion, that the prophecy does indeed come to pass— the tears of desert spring save Himx aka, Chani saving Paul after he drinks The Water of Life. (Interesting how Jessica has to force Chani to save Paul using the Voice… another example of Jessica explicitly forcing Paul to become the messiah).
- adding more depth to Fremen culture— the South being the more religious fundamentalist tribes vs the North being more secular. Early on, the movie paints this immediate divide between the tribes of Fremen who accept Paul and Jessica versus those who treat them as offworlders (who murdered Jamis). In the books everyone accepts Paul and Jessica after Paul bests Jamis and Jessica quotes some scripture, but I think it makes more logical sense that there’s be friction over these two random offworlders coming in
- I love love loved Paul speaking at the meeting of the Fremen tribe leaders in the South. He fully accepts his messiah status, exercises his power of the Voice + his prescience as a way to command all the Fremen under his name
- I’m a big fan of omitting the two-year time skip, so with that I’m glad Leto II was skipped over entirely. I always felt that Leto II was an unnecessary character addition to the book, especially when he just dies and everyone sort of goes “oh well” and moves on, so I’m glad it’s omitted.
- another interesting choice was to paint Jessica as a straight up villain in comparison to her book counterpart was. The Jessica we see here is seemingly corrupted by the Water of Life: she walks around talking to herself (Alia) and scheming Paul’s ascent to Lisan-Al Gaib. She knows about the Holy War, which is the very thing Paul is trying to prevent, yet she expresses no concern about bringing it to fruition. (Probably because Jessica knows it’s impossible to prevent, but still.) The very last line of the movie, where Alia asks Jessica what’s going on and Jessica says “The Holy War has begun” is just total villain in my mind— explicit acceptance of the Holy War, like it’s just another stepping stone in her plan. Plus, the fact that Paul has visions of Jessica leading him into this period of great starvation totally cements her as a villian.
- going off of that, I like that we see Jessica undergoing actual agony when she takes The Water of Life. When book Jessica and Paul take The Water of Life they accept it calmly and without obvious pain (book Jessica was sitting with her eyes closed, as if sleeping), so this physical reaction that Jessica has to the poison adds to the idea that The Water of Life did change her in a negative way.
- I feel like so far we’ve been introduced to Alia as just a weird talking fetus who’s been consorting with Jessica, so Paul’s vision where Alia says “I love you” really strikes home, that she really does care for Paul which we might not have understood otherwise

NORTH NODE IN HOUSES - SYNASTRY💜
Tumblr media
North Node in partners 1st house makes the house person find out who they really are in this lifetime, by the help of the North node person. North node person will help the first house person 2 come out of their shell and be who they truly are🫶☝. A good friendship placement but not that good for a relationship - North Node person is enamoured by the first house person but will probably leave after first house person has learned everything North Node wanted 2 teach them in this life. Unless u got prominent south node aspects = then u could stay together for a lifetime, cuz it's really comfortable and familiar - NN adds spice then😌😌.
North Node in partners 2nd house makes the house person want to be stable, earn money and focus on being secure with the help of the North Node person ofc🏡💰💸. North Node pushes the house person to be independent, and not be depending on anybody. They can create a good stable future, with good aspects. House person may first start 2 earn real money when North Node person comes in. North Node could also bring financial stability 2 house person.
North Node in partners 3rd house makes the conversations with each other insane🤯🤯🤯. House person feels like they found someone they can connect with on a mental level. North Node person can make house person question things like their mentality, how they communicate&speak, siblings, cars, neighbourhood, and stuff like that. House person may feel like North Node is the first person who actually understands them.
North Node in partners 4th house makes the house person feel like they finally found home😍😍, and can take a rest now that they found someone that they can count on. North Node may be the first "family" that the house person will have, North Node can also remind the house person of someone from their family. North Node will create that family space with, or for the house person🦋🦋🦋🦋.
North Node in partners 5th house makes the house person have the best time of their life!!! North Node can show house person how to have fun, and maybe have a whirlwind affair 👀❤️‍🔥. Kids could be involved but then you'll probably co parent at some point. After they experienced everything they can together, they 9/10 times get bored. But you'll remember it FOREVER!! it's something you look back on, and smile at, at an old age👵.
North Node in partners 6th house makes the North Node person create a stable, and safe routine for the house person. They can train a lot together, be super fit🏋️‍♀️🏋🤼 or North Node is here to help house person move on from something, and on to a stable routine. House person may have felt stuck, or in between jobs before they met North Node person. Their relationship could be all about working out, living together, work, &ordinary things like that ❤.
North Node in partners 7th house makes the house person feel like they found their soulmate 🥺🥺🥺, Someone they can really love, but also make business deals, and contracts with. North Node could be the first person the house person has a real relationship with 👫. House person feels very appreciated. This placement reminds me of the movie The Notebook🥺🥺, very loyal to each other 🤞💛.
North Node in partners 8th house makes the house person feel like they found their fucking therapist!! and ride or die. Bonnie and Clyde energy right here🔫🩸, got secrets for life. House person feels like the North Node person can read them like a book - they really don't need 2 explain themselves, or justify themselves. They just get each other. They can have crazy, and violent fights but they'll ride for each other till the day one of them dies. North Node can show all parts of their kind of underworld 2 house person, and they'll rise together when they come out❤️‍🔥.
North Node in partners 9th house is all about learning baby. 9th house feels like their "mentor"/teacher stepped in, when they met North Node person👽👽👽. North Node person feels like this "bigger than life" person 2 house person, and preaches a lot 2 house person about right, or wrong typically - wants 2 "guide" them. House person could either find that really nice, or really annoying❌❌. Religion is probably a big factor, could be same religion, and they're just really passionate about it together, or VERY different religions that can cause issues between them🌓🌓.
North Node in partners 10th house makes the house person feel like their social image probably went up, when North Node person came in🥂🥇. North Node could make the house person a star, or a nice trophy wife/husband. They can be big in the world of money, fame, business, and they look fire together. They earn a lot more together, than apart. A real power house. They'll be together 4 a long time typically, and they'll have each others back when everyone is watching🎬🎬.
North Node in partners 11th house makes the house person feel like they found a best friend 4 life💃💃💃. They share big dreams together, and probably humanitarian ones 2. They most of the time share the same friend group - or they could have met through friends❤️. Could also have met on social media tho📱📱. They could be out together a lot in public, and everyone knows about their friendship. North Node can take the house person to a new friend group! collaborations = big deal here🤌🤌.
North Node in partners 12th house could make the house person dream about North Node person, before North Node even came into the house persons life✨. House Person typically feels an unexplainable soul connection towards NN - they could already be united in 5D🪐🪐. House person can start/could have started their spiritual journey when North Node person comes/came in. Karmic is the term I would use here. Can be unstable, but they always come back together 🙅‍♀️🙅❤️‍🩹.
Always look at aspects from NN 2 house person's chart, & always look at both natal charts2 beforehand, 2know exactly how it'll play out!!!

Writing Advice #?: Don’t write out accents.
The Surface-Level Problem: It’s distracting at best, illegible at worst.
The following passage from Sons and Lovers has never made a whit of sense to me:
“I ham, Walter, my lad,’ ’e says; ‘ta’e which on ’em ter’s a mind.’ An’ so I took one, an’ thanked ’im. I didn’t like ter shake it afore ’is eyes, but ’e says, ‘Tha’d better ma’e sure it’s a good un. An’ so, yer see, I knowed it was.’”
There’s almost certainly a point to that dialogue — plot, character, theme — but I could not figure out what the words were meant to be, and gave up on the book.  At a lesser extreme, most of Quincey’s lines from Dracula (“I know I ain’t good enough to regulate the fixin’s of your little shoes”) cause American readers to sputter into laughter, which isn’t ideal for a character who is supposed to be sweet and tragic.  Accents-written-out draw attention to mechanical qualities of the text.
Solution #1: Use indicators outside of the quote marks to describe how a character talks.  An Atlanta accent can be “drawling” and a London one “clipped”; a Princeton one can sound “stiff” and a Newark one “relaxed.”  Do they exaggerate their vowels more (North America) or their consonants more (U.K., north Africa)?  Do they sound happy, melodious, frustrated?
The Deeper Problem: It’s ignorant at best, and classist/racist/xenophobic at worst.
You pretty much never see authors writing out their own accents — to the person who has the accent, the words just sound like words.  It’s only when the accent is somehow “other” to the author that it gets written out.
And the accents that we consider “other” and “wrong” (even if no one ever uses those words, the decision to deliberately misspell words still conveys it) are pretty much never the ones from wealthy and educated parts of the country.  Instead, the accents with misspelled words and awkward inflection are those from other countries, from other social classes, from other ethnicities.  If your Maine characters speak normally and your Florida characters have grammatical errors, then you have conveyed what you consider to be correct and normal speech.  We know what J.K. Rowling thinks of French-accented English, because it’s dripping off of Fleur Delacour’s every line.
At the bizarre extreme, we see inappropriate application of North U.K. and South U.S.-isms to every uneducated and/or poor character ever to appear in fan fic.  When wanting to get across that Steve Rogers is a simple Brooklyn boy, MCU fans have him slip into “mustn’t” and “we is.”  When conveying that Robin 2.0 is raised poor in Newark, he uses “ain’t” and “y’all” and “din.”  Never mind that Iron Man is from Manhattan, or that Robin 3.0 is raised wealthy in Newark; neither of them ever gets a written-out accent.
Solution #2: A little word choice can go a long way, and a little research can go even further.  Listen carefully to the way people talk — on the bus, in a café, on unscripted YouTube — and write down their exact word choice.  “We good” literally means the same thing as “no thank you,” but one’s a lot more formal than the other.  “Ain’t” is a perfectly good synonym for “am not,” but not everyone will use it.
The Obscure Problem: It’s not even how people talk.
Look at how auto-transcription software messes up speaking styles, and it’s obvious that no one pronounces every spoken sound in every word that comes out of their mouth.  Consider how Americans say “you all right?”; 99% of us actually say something like “yait?”, using tone and head tilt to convey meaning.  Politicians speak very formally; friends at bars speak very informally.
An example: I’m from Baltimore, Maryland.  Unless I’m speaking to an American from Texas, in which case I’m from “Baltmore, Marlind.”  Unless I’m speaking to an American from Pennsylvania, in which case I’m from “Balmore, Marlin.”  If I’m speaking to a fellow Marylander, I’m of course from “Bamor.”  (If I’m speaking to a non-American, I’m of course from “Washington D.C.”)  Trying to capture every phoneme of change from moment to moment and setting to setting would be ridiculous; better just to say I inflect more when talking to people from outside my region.
When you write out an accent, you insert yourself, the writer, as an implied listener.  You inflict your value judgments and your linguistic ear on the reader, and you take away from the story.
Solution #3: When in doubt, just write the dialogue how you would talk.

[ Part one | Part Two | Part Three | Part Four | Part Five | Part Six | Part Seven ]
Main Masterlist | Read my stuff on AO3 | Leave Requests
1917, Rural Pennsylvania
A sweeping river cut through the patch of sweetgrass on the south side of the farm. It emitted a gurgling sound that often soothed your nerves. There was a rocky clearing sandwiched between the tree line and the plain of grass that had become a perfect spot for you to settle in and read the hard-covered books you’d gotten from the corner store.
Your father would bring back any book you requested from the city during his travels. You devoured them faster than he could provide them and had read ‘Eight Cousins’ ,Lousia May Alcott’s foray into the adventures thirteen-year-old Rose, enough to nearly tear the pages from the binding.
The book itself held the clean honeyed scent of the earth, of the secluded spot that you called your own. Your muscles would thrum from loading the bales of hay into your fathers ford. Your fingers were calloused, and dirt caked around your ankle in a dark ring. All of that vanished when you cracked open the book about a girl that was so much like yourself.
It was easy to lose yourself in the paragraphs, the hum of the river sometimes lulling you to sleep. Your mother would pack you a sandwich on warm, hand-kneaded bread, usually some salted meat and mayonnaise. She’d pack sweet tea and send you on your way, knowing that you wouldn’t return to the house until you saw a flicker of a firefly.
Today, you’d fallen asleep under the sun. The book was discarded, and your forearm draped across your eyes. It was easy to drift, and easier still to dream about leaving the small dairy farm for something bigger- the very city that your father would return from with new literature and arts, and spices that made your mouth buzz with flavor.
You were in a haze when the ear-piercing scream cut through the air as if it were a natural solid. Your ears pinched at the sound, heels digging into the coarse sandy shore. Maybe it was a dream. It could have been an animal that had sunk its pointed teeth into the artery of another.
So, you waited, panting with your heart in your chest and the corner of the book barely lapped by the muddied water. And there was this sound. It was no fox caught in a trap or bovine tangled up in the barbed wire fence around the property- no, this was familiar. This was your sister.
Helena was quiet, often described as demure and borderline submissive. Despite being younger than yourself she carried a certain poise about her. Mother would often boast about how she would have no trouble finding a husband, how the boys already fawned over the child of hers that was not feral and unkempt.
Her cry was the loudest you had ever heard her and it had you on your feet, scrambling up the bank. Once past your small world of wonder, you were greeted with an endless sea of sweetgrass that was waist high in some areas.
A warm breeze created waves against the landscape, the farmhouse a small speck among the expanse of land. Your head was spinning, it was hard to track exactly where it had come from. It took another cracking screech to set you North.
Your legs pumped until you were consumed in a blind speed. You’d been renowned for your quickness, for your dedication to get from point A to point B. The kids in your town often joked that you were steadier than a steed. Not only were you the fastest in the class, but the fastest in the county according to some. Still- only a child of fifteen, and no man would want to wed someone with speed. It wasn’t a practical skill.
There was a pit deep in your stomach whirled, instinct knowing precisely where Helena was yowling from.
Jorge had gotten there at the same time you did; his brow was leaking with sweat and he panted against the hot air that surrounded you both. Your older brother was tall and lanky, serpent-like with beady black eyes and pitch hair to match your father’s. His shirt hung low against his midsection, his skin pale despite his hours in the sun working the fields.
“Stay back, y/n.” He demanded sharply.
The old well was a mere foot in front of you both but neither made the effort to move forward. The aged wooden plank that covered the stone shaft had been splintered through the middle, worn from age and weather.
Helena’s soft cries echoed up. When your father had first acquired the property, the previous owners explained that it had been boarded up after of the bulls had fallen down and snapped it’s neck. It was too large to pull out and they left it to starve and then rot.
Your father never let any of his children peer down into the well. You wondered if something had pulled Helena here, or if she had simply forgotten of it’s existence. Jorge dropped down to his knees and did a cautious crawl as if his own two feet couldn’t’ hold him anymore.
You saw the exact moment his skin became waxier, almost a gray porcelain paleness that had a green tint. He was swallowing too much, his white shirt coated in the red clay dirt.
“What?” You asked, voice breaking “What is it?”
“Go get Mama.”
It would have been easy to listen to your brother. He was the man of the house when your father wasn’t there but with him pleading for your mother, for an adult, you got a rancid taste in your mouth.
Against your better judgement you edged close enough to the abandoned well. The sun was setting in a fire-filled orange haze with enough color and angle to get a good view of the bottom; a slosh of fallen grass and rainwater, and muck, and yes; the bones of a beast once left to decay and rot in its own silence.
Your sister was wedged within the ribcage of the befallen bull, almost as if she replaced the beating heart that stopped pulsing long ago. Her hands gripped at the sun-bleached bone, knuckles nearly the same color.
It took you a moment to make out the slick, and the red that stemmed from the center of her stomach. The head of the bull had shattered under her weight, all expect the stretching length of it’s curved horn. That was wedged through her abdomen, surrounded in a vibrant rose red that puddled and had already coated her hands.
Prints from her struggle were against the limestone edges of the well. Her eyes pleaded up at you; your kind and caring, and animal-loving sister was trapped inside the remains of one. You fought back the urge to vomit, the rash thought that if the bone ripping through her flesh didn’t kill her, then infection would.
“Y/n get mama!” Jorge hissed again, and this time you didn’t hesitate. You nearly tripped over your own boots with the fever it took to back away from the scene, the metallic scent of blood mixing deliciously with the turn of rotted soil.
You had never run so fast in your life.
Wanda Maximoff had never felt the cold that wormed its way to her bones before. It was the type of cold that almost wasn’t, a stinging, horrible feeling that had her startled from the folded metal chair. It collapsed within itself as the blinked the wine-dark color from her eyes.
She stumbled backward, only to be brought back to the starkness of the room by a soft grip on her elbow. Wanda allowed herself to be held, if not for stability but for comfort. Steve Rodgers had a welcoming hand on the small of her back, the other steadying her.
He was a solid force, and her reaction stirred him.
“Fuck,” the expletive fell from her lips, “Jesus Christ.”
There was quietness to the room in the aftershock of the fallen chair. It was nicer than a standard holding cell. The walls were cream colored, triple enforced to keep people like you inside. There was a bed bolted to the wall, a bunk that was almost like a summer camp endeavor.
A charged glass wall was blocking you from the rest of the world. It was seemingly unbreakable, and in this moment, so were you. Wanda didn’t want to test the glass, nor did she know how to make sense of the memories- your memories- that had flooded every inch of her body.
You were asleep, chest rising and falling at a normal pace, as if none of what Wanda had just seen was flitting around your mind. Soft snores pushed past your lips, one arm hanging over the side of the bed while the other followed the flow of your breathing as it rested on your chest.
Wanda didn’t understand the secrecy and the precaution that surrounded you. The Avengers compound was a constant ebb and flow of different heroes, Inhumans and mutants. What made you so different? What made you an 0-8-4?
It was a term that Natasha had used only once that was usually attached to objects, not a person. It was an object of unknown origin and in that case, it was a power-filled object from space. Space. She’d been through different dimensions, but that, for some reason, struck her as terrifying.
0-8-4’s were never brought here, but then again, they’d never been alive either. Steve had told her that your energy signal was off the charts, and that they wanted her to dig around your head. Something that she denied doing at first. It was an invasion of privacy.
But, there was a certain pleading within Captain America’s eyes that scared Wanda more than the personal rules she set for herself when it came to her power. What she had seen, what she had felt was barely scraping the surface of what your mind contained. She wasn’t keen on pushing past that barrier for the conclusion of that story. Was it even yours?
“What? Wanda, what is it?”
“I… I don’t” She shook her head, eyes hardening as she stared into Steve’s “Where did you find her?”
He hesitated to answer, his eyebrows furrowing before he looked away from the witches’ prying eyes. She’d been part of this team for years now and they were still reluctant with what they were willing to share. Wanda clenched her jaw, then unclenched it before her stare flashed back to your resting form.
There was a small frown that creased your features. You looked so… harmless. You had shifted, folded into yourself as if you were scratching the surface of what flashed before her. Your arm was folded under your head, knees flush to your chest. A small, beautiful whimper escaped you.
“She’s in distress, Steve.”
“Discomfort, more like. It’s better for all of us that she stays in there for right now. The last thing we want to do is harm anyone but if that requires some temporary-“
“Imprisonment?”
“Containment.” He said firmly, eyes hard. Wanda crossed her arms over her chest but stayed silent, letting him continue. She was sure she wouldn’t have been asked if not for her ability to worm her way into minds, to rearrange things. “What did you see?”
“A memory, one that can’t possibly be hers. The timeline doesn’t fit, this is a woman in her mid-twenties and who I saw was barely a teenager on a farmstead. To experience that much tragedy, that much fear and heartache.”
She started to pace, trying to not only work through her own thoughts, but yours as well. It could have been a story, and she was convinced of the fact save for the vividness. There was the feeling of grass tickling her arms and the sharp, undeniable stench of blood.
“Her younger sister died, fell through some rotted wood and fell to her death.” Wanda’s fingers pressed against the edge of her hairline. “She could have lived, but I have my doubts.”
He lifted a perfectly sculpted brow at her. His expression betrayed his compassion towards you, his stance uncomfortable with the topic. While the revelation was heartbreaking it hardly made you extraordinary. They’d all lost people, none had stirred Wanda as you did.
Wanda’s stare found his after darting to you once more, “Steve, I have the sinking feeling that what I saw was only scratching the surface. There are hundreds, maybe thousands, of memories that were pressing in on all sides.”
The sensation of being observed is what pulled you from your fitful sleep. Exhaustion had washed over you like a tidal wave, all at once and leaving your mouth dry like a spoonful of salt. There was a stiffness that rivaled that of the grave you’d crawled out of, and you hoped that it was all a dream.
You were in your bed, in your apartment, after having one too many drinks. It was a horrible stretching nightmare that had plunged you into one sea of darkness from another. But even you weren’t that naïve.
Just as you felt a stranger’s eyes on you now, you had felt the dirt under your nails, the cold sodium-filled takeout as you attempted to chew it. More than anything, you remembered the burning feeling of the Black Widow pressed fully against your back, bending you over Jenn’s kitchen counter.
“I would prefer if you kept the feeling of my wife’s body against yours out of your mind.”
You shot up with a dizzying amount of quickness, heart suddenly in your chest. There was an imbalance to the bed that you were laying on. It was smaller than your own and unfamiliar. The room was stark white. It hurt your eyes and you had to blink the color away. You pressed the heels of your palms close to your eyes.
It felt as if you were locked in a glass shower with an audience and stage lights. The more you looked, the more you realized it was a room, something with no personal effects but a bed and a dimmer switch that you itched to utilize.
A pitcher of water was on an end table. It wasn’t color exactly, but it was more than the rest of your surroundings. Possibly with the worst manners you’d ever exhibited, you drank straight from the pitcher, not remembering the last time you had a drink. Suddenly, you were parched enough to soak your collar.
Despite your audience, you continued until you felt your stomach protest. You used the back of your hand to wipe away the moisture, black dirt was smeared across your skin. It was then, and only then, that you forced yourself to look past the walls of your prison, your enclosure.
“I didn’t mean to startle you,” The woman said, walking close to the glass. You could see her clearly now, there was an heir of recognition about her, in the same way that there had been with the Black Widow.
“You were in my head.”
“For a while. It’s my job. But your thoughts are also deafening.”
“Sorry,”
This woman was intoxicating. Alluring and beautiful in her presence. Her hair was tied up in a messy bun, a pair of sweatpants and t-shirt hugging her form. You weren’t positive what time it was- what day it was- but it could be late into the night. She looked like she was roused from sleep, and a part of you felt guilty for the fact.
“Don’t apologize, sweetie.” Her voice was much more tender than it had been a few moments ago. “You can’t control being brought back from the dead. A lot of trauma comes with that.”
You stood shakily and walked closer to the glass. They’d taken your shoes and the tile under your feet was frigid. You crossed your arms over your chest and shivered into yourself. You didn’t want to think about the fact that they had undressed you, probably taken your clothes for testing. Instead they left you in a blue set of scrubs.
You averted your stare from your own reflection, not willing or ready to look too hard. You’d much rather look at this stranger, your heart not slowing, your head pounding. Nothing but a simple pane of glass separated you.
“And I was brought back from the dead, wasn’t I? That wasn’t a fucked-up dream where I got hit by a car and then poof God, if there is one, decided that me of all people was worth bringing back.”
She lilted her head, quirked an amusing brow at you. A chill flushed down your spine and seemed to fizzle out at your toes. This woman was gorgeous and terrifying and made you want to squirm. But if this was prison, you had to assert dominance. Right? That’s what Wentworth taught you.
This cell didn’t look or feel like Wentworth, and this Warden had an amused smile tacked to her lips like she had heard your every thought. And she had. At least you assumed that she did. She’d mentioned her wife earlier, and the woman’s body against your own was plaguing you like a runaway freight train.
When she didn’t say anything, you clawed to fill the silence “I want to talk to Bruce.”
“Bruce? Honey, he’s off world.”
“Off… world.” You laughed, softly at first but then almost manically, tears forming in your eyes that you wiped away with your cold fingers. “No, no, that’s really cool. I worked a 9-5 and now I can’t talk to Bruce because he’s in Outer Space.”
“Maybe not outer space, maybe another dimension.”
You leveled her with a humorless glare. She had both of her hands up as if she wanted to comfort you, or the caged animal you had become. You had to give her credit, she seemed just as horrified as you were. She offered up a dim, faltering smile.
There wasn’t a way for you to process this in a gentle manner, there was no one to guide you through it other than Jenn. She’d done this before, lived a whole life that was flipped upside-down and she’d come out on the other side. It was the uncertainty that scared the hell out of you.
“You were in my head earlier,” You stopped suddenly, pressing your fingers against the glass. The woman didn’t flinch. Your frantic breath fogged with each exhalation. “Do you know why I came back?”
She shook her head, “No. Do you remember what you were dreaming about?”
“No.” A weak chuckle, you let your hands drop. “At least we’re on the same page.”
The nurse they allowed to enter through the side of the containment unit took cautious steps towards you that made your chest ache. All your life, people had said how welcoming and kind you were; how they were never afraid to come to you with their worries. It had bothered you before the incident, before your death, but now you missed seeing the stare of those who didn’t harbor any fear.
She was small, a mouse of a thing that had pale blonde hair and startling blue eyes. Her name tag read Julia. Your mind rushed with the paths she’d taken to this place. She must be interning here, much too young to hold a classification herself.
Your finger twitched on your knee, palm sweaty. It’s heat radiated through the thin blue fabric of the pants they’d provided you with. You hated needles, always had. But, you struggled to stay still and the effect that had on poor nurse Julia was making you fidget more.
There was a scent about her. It was under the layers of hairspray, nail polish, and shea butter. It was a sweet metal that made your stomach swirl. Was it her sweat? You’d never smelt anything past walking by the bomb that was the boys locker room, and it certainly had never been this tantalizing before.
Your eyes met hers, crystal blue and uncertain. “You’ll just feel a little pinch”
This is when you pulled your gaze back and instead focused on the cream colored walls. There was no problem with needles, you’d dutifully sit for your flu shots, but something about the sharp edge pushing through a layer of skin and fat before hitting your vein made you nauseous.
“We just need enough to run a few tests.” Julia soothed.
She was a normal nurse in that one, small way. Your mind was itching, blood seeming to congeal. It refused to cooperate and her burning touch was all but dominant against your skin. You both waited for the small tube to fill with black liquid.
Finally, you felt her press the gauze against the crook of your arm and withdraw the needle. Another small pinch and then a massive relief. Her smell hung around you and filled the room. There was an undeniable urge to sink your teeth into her. To taste her.
You’d stopped the elevator just hours before to assess your penchant for brain consumption, but this wasn’t that. This was an intoxicating pull. This was animalistic, the same rush of emotion that had flooded you without prompting during your earlier conversation.
Julia squeezed your shoulder calmly, not entirely over her own reservations, but on the penance that she was a nurse and this was her job. You kept yourself rooted to the bed, fingers digging into the wood. She left the room and you could hear the compressed lock reseal you inside, breathing a sigh of relief.
That sweet odor lingered, and your reaction to it scared you more than anything. The wood beneath your fingertips splintered, and suddenly that anger, that fear, rolled away to shock. That wasn’t… normal. None of this was normal, but you weren’t exactly picked first in sports either.
You were a middle kid, a I guess I wouldn’t mind having you on my team kid. Suddenly your fingers were cutting through wood like it was butter. You let out an indignant squeak and shifted the blanket until the slashes were covered.
“Is everything alright?”
Wanda, you had learned that her name was Wanda, occupied her usual spot in front of the window. A slick sweat covered your forehead. She was holding a small tray that had a steaming bowl of soup and a delicious hunk of French bread.
“I figured you were hungry,” She lifted her chin towards the panel next to your door. “May I?”
“I’m at your mercy.”
And you were, truly. You hadn’t seen anyone but her since you’d woken up. There were shadows of others, people that made the pit in the center of your stomach grow three sizes. You knew exactly what they were doing, you watched enough true crime with Jennifer to know.
Here was this beautiful and powerful woman offering you food and words of comfort, and you allowed yourself to fall for all of it. Listlessly. Because what did you have to lose? You’d already died, and the thought of putting your family through the heartache of resurrection and then possibly enough committal to the ground was too much.
So, let her Stockholm syndrome you. The food smelled divine.
Wanda didn’t hold the same fear that Julia had. In fact, once the compression of air signified that it was okay for her to enter, she did so without hesitation. She set the food down on the equally dull side table and lowered herself onto the corner of the bed, making herself at home.
She’d changed into a pair of jeans, a simple t-shirt that had the outline of SHIELD on its sleeve. You frowned, for a company that does everything in its power to keep itself hidden, they sure loved that stupid bird so much.
“Go on, sweetie. You can eat.”
Wanda had a command about her that made you fold and listen despite any reservations. You took up a spot on the far end of the bed and shoveled the first spoonful into your mouth. An explosion of heady flavors coated your tongue, coaxing a low moan from your lips.
Blush rushed to your cheeks at the spark in the set of stormy eyes that watched you like a hawk. You rushed to break the tension. “So, what’s the plan here? Run a bunch of tests and keep me locked up?”
“Somewhat.” She paused, carefully thinking of her next words. “Y/n, I have the ability to get inside the psyche. Not only can I read every thought, every action, but I can control them too. It’s not something I like to do, nor something I want to. Not without permission.”
You frowned again. You certainly hadn’t given her permission to enter your mind before, and she tensed at the realization. But, you took another bite of soup and swallowed down the spiced broth. What’s done was done. You didn’t expect her to ask, much less admit to her wrongdoing.
“I prefer to ask. Can you tell me what you do for work?”
“Paralegal, the bar seemed like too much stress. But I’m good at my job. I was good at my job before a car turned me into sidewalk art.”
“Right, and your family, what about them?”
There was no desire to think of them and their perfect lives that you’d shattered with your death. Your mother used to sit in the tepid air on the porch swing, downing a glass of wine before she turned to you with tears in her eyes. She’d urge you to be careful working in the city. She’d plead for you to come home. More than anything, she’d utter the phrase a mother should never outlive her daughter.
“My mother is a seventh grade biology teacher and my father runs a painting business that’s been operating my whole life. They’re not very exciting people. They must be worried sick about me.”
Wanda nodded, “Any siblings?”
“Not anymore.”
She stilled at your words and didn’t pry. You were well aware of the fact that she could push through your deflections and learn the information that she wanted to know. But, you respected that she didn’t. Instead, she stared at you, and you stared right back, suddenly not hungry.
Wanda was someone that you felt the need to open-up to. Unlike the brief encounter you had had with her wife. Not that you let that word stick with you, not in the same way that her touch did. Again, you had to push the thoughts to the back of your mind, even if Wanda wasn’t prying.
Instead, she placed a warm hand on your thigh, sending a wave of shivers through your body. You suppressed a whimper at the sudden contact.
“I had a brother named Pietro. He was fast, unnaturally so. Neither of us ever wanted to be heroes, we didn’t think about the future like that. So, when the Avengers, these so-called saviors of the world, recruited us, we knew about the dangers. But it still shocked me when he died. He was my brother. He wasn’t supposed to be fragile like that.”
You stared at her with an amount of tenderness in your eyes that she wasn’t used to from the others. They cared, sure, but in the way that a co-worker would care enough to purchase cut flowers and a ‘sorry for your loss’ card. You were different.
“They’re our protectors.” You swallowed hard, mouth dry “when something drastic happens, it doesn’t seem real.”
“It still doesn’t.”
There was a lapse of silence that pushed memories in your direction. The burning cold weather on the day your own brother had died. You remember the scream that died in your throat and the way you’d knelt in the cracked snow until you couldn’t’ feel your legs or your fingers. It took an EMT with a heated blanket and a horror story about hypothermia to pull you to your feet.
“Jonathan.” You whispered.
She let out a questioning hum, pulling her feet from the floor and making herself more comfortable on the less-than-comfortable bed. “Your brother?”
“My older brother. I followed him around like a lost puppy, but he never complained. He was a hockey player and a damn good one too. He’d use the lake behind our house in Jersey to practice and one winter the ice broke underneath him. He drowned, and I was too weak to save him.”
Wanda let out a shuddered breath. You couldn’t read her facial expression. It was a mix of confusion, or sadness, but not pity and that was something you appreciated. You’d had enough pity, just as your family had enough grief without you adding to it.
She opened her mouth to reply, but both of you were startled when three quick knocks shattered the silence. The Black Widow, Natasha Romanoff, stood on the other side. She showed no interest in breeching the containment unit. Instead, she leveled her wife with a dark stare and held up a folded piece of paper.
“Excuse me,” Wanda whispered, giving your leg a settling squeeze.
She left the plate and exited the holding cell. Her words were muffled, but those unripe green eyes that Natasha possessed kept flicking to you nervously. She too, didn’t’ show pity. It was interest and if you were being honest, you thought you saw the smallest spark of fear.
Wanda took the paper from her wife, squinted at something you couldn’t’ see. You felt like you were at a parent teacher conference, just out of bounds of hearing but you could see their body language; the way that Natasha itched to move closer to Wanda, the fingers that the taller woman pressed to her lips, thumb creasing the paper.
Finally, Wanda turned back towards the glass. Natasha met your stare without issue, hitting the intercom on the other side of the cell. It was her who spoke, her raspy voice falling from the speaker.
“In the spirit of transparency, we want to be honest with you about your blood results.”
You stood from the bed, moving to one side of the barrier. They were intimidating like that, standing shoulder to shoulder with a natural beauty. It made you want to shrink. If not for the paper in their hands you would have curled into yourself at the sight.
“Don’t tell me I’m dying.”
“No, honey.” Wanda shook her head, “Quite the opposite, you’re getting stronger.”
“I don’t understand.”
Natasha lifted an eyebrow and pressed the paper against the glass so you could read it. None of it made sense, it was lines of DNA that looked like musical notes. You shook your head, giving her a confused look.
Natasha scoffed, peeling the paper from the surface of glass. Wanda bit her thumbnail nervously. “According to these…You’re Asgardian, Kitten.”

ASTRO OBSERVATIONS II
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So you've seemed to really enjoy my astro oberservations, so today I'm going to do some more! I hope you enjoy and if there's any questions, feel free to ask.
💧5th house stellium
I've noticed these natives don't like to change their routine for anybody. They can come off a little bit selfish because of it. They also like to tell everyone everything about themselves. If they've finished any college, o you will know. There also really into working out, looking good, smelling fresh and love to be noticed, but don't like saying that. They are also very curious about things only they like, if they think what you're talking about is boring to them, they will let you know.
💧 Aphrodite and Saturn in the 1st house
This can be a very complicated placement. In one way the native is considered a beautiful individual, but they themselves cannot see it that way. The glowup will come later in life and the native will have some complications with their skin, weight etc. But it will pass!
💧 Mercury in Aquarius
These people are known to be book worms and love to learn, constitley. But they do have this tick about them where they always think they know the best.
💧 Gemini Moon
They're so fucking funny without even trying, I swear. If you ever want to hear something chaotic, call a Gemini moon. They are the feral club rats and can befriend anyone. But at the same time they maybe have 1 or 2 people they really open up to and tell them how they really feel. I feel like they can be even more detached than Libra and Aquarius moons. They can also be prone to sleeping with someone and than regreating it the next day.
💧Pluto in the 4th house
This can mean a very turbulent family life. A very love-hate relationship with their mother. They maybe didn't grow up with the mother and than reconnected with her later in life. The mother can become very ill later down the line and it falls on their lap, making them have a symbiotic house life. The native takes cares and adores the mother, but the mother also becomes a burden to deal with. These people also have a very strict way at looking at family life, children. They don't relate to people wanting a white picked fance and 4 kids running around the yard. Try to understand these people, they really have a soft spot. .but don't be too aggressive with your questions.
💧Earth Venuses
I think what they all have in common is they're really big pleasers in the bedroom. Quite dominant and right to the point. The guy earth Venuses love to be small spoons when cuddling, but will never ever admit it! The girls are really big sweethearts in private, but seem really cold and profesional outside the house.
💧12 house stellium
I've never met a 12th house stellium person who wasn't the sweetest person ever. They are so down to earth and try to understand all. They are the shoulder to cry on, for sure.
💧 North node in Leo
They love tattoos, standing out, having piercings, having some bold jewelry piece. Having some sort of style everybody wants, but can't recreate. But they deal with some much self doubt at the beginning of their journey. Since their South node is in Aquarius, they are prone to go back to their humanitarian ways, people pleasing etc. It's also tough in relationships, since they feel the need for independence and shinning on their own, but also want to understand their partner and help them. I would recommend them to shift your priorities to bettering yourself, career etc, not other people. It's your time to shine and you deserve it, more than anything!
💧 6 house stellium
They are prone to join the army and actually are really good at it. I mean this this is house of routines and discipline after all.
💧Sagittarius Moon
These people are something, let me tell you that. A Sag Moon is prone to work in other cities or countries. Their mind is very sharp and clean about what they want. I've noticed they can be big loners in their free time. Like they live to be the head of the party, cracking jokes and doing their thing, but in their house they are very reserved and quite. They need to recharge for the day, that's for sure.
💧 Air- Water dominant people
This is very confusing to the native. I mean on one side we have a emotional and semi psychic sign and on the other a rational and mental sign. These people are prone to heavy changing over the years, really stepping into their personality can be difficult and always altered by surroundings and people. They are a little bit bipolar also. Some days they'll want to speak with everybody and party their butt off, the next they want peace and quietness. Sometimes they want to travel the world and others they never want to leave their home. It depends on the day, I guess..

What is Juno in Astrology?
Juno is the roman equivalent of the greek goddess Hera. Juno rules marriage, family life, fertility and commitment. This is a very feminine and nurturing energy that blesses an individual with their equal partner with whom the individual will create a stable home. As much as Juno rules over home and commitment, people see Juno as the marriage asteroid. The asteroid that shows you how you fill the gap of 'a domestic life with a partner'. Juno is basically the pattern in our long term committed relationships. Traditionally, people end up marrying and creating a domestic environment aka, a 'home' with their long term partners.
Therefore, Juno, rules over the partner that is most likely going to play this major role in your life, and your dynamic with them. Many people call this as, 'soulmate'. It also talks about your viewpoint on marriage and commitment as a secondary thing.
Note: Juno is about that one (or sometimes 2) long term lover of yours. It doesn't work on situationships or temporary relationships! So be careful.
Tumblr media
Sun in Juno Persona Chart:
The Sun illuminates wherever it sits (the house or sign). The Sun will show you the identity of the marriage, and the foundation it is built upon. This relates to the values, beliefs, common goals and the trajectory of the relationship. This is the vibe/the essence of the relationship itself, "Explain this dynamic in one simple word?" What is the major theme between you and your partner. Suppose a person with their Juno Sun in Libra will be focused on creating harmony and balance within their relationship, while a person with their Sun in Aries will be focused on establishing an identity of their own within that relationship.
Moon in Juno Persona Chart:
The Moon shows the area of life where we feel at home and naturally comfortable. In a Juno Persona Chart the Moon shows the emotional bond you will have with your soulmate. It is the halfway meeting place where two people connect over on a deeper emotional level. Moon will show the bonding of two individuals and how they come together to relate with each other.
North Node and South Node in Juno Persona Chart:
The North Node shows the direction the relationship is supposed to go. It's like the north star of the relationship, guiding you towards your destiny. These are new things you will be learning about relationships and marriages. Whereas the South Node rules over your past, and also your past lives. These are the things you have mastered already. There is a hint of karma attached to your South Node if it makes a conjunction to any planets in your Juno PC.
Mercury in Juno Persona Chart:
Mercury shows the communication style you have with your soulmate, and how you both collaborate on solving problems/brainstorming plans/generating ideas, etc. A person with Mercury in Gemini in their Juno Persona Chart will be very talkative around their partner. They will be constantly bouncing ideas to each other, constantly focused on learning new things, etc. Whereas a person with their Mercury in Capricorn in their Juno PC will solve problems practically in the relationship and will focus on doing rather than talking.
Venus in Juno Persona Chart:
Venus shows what we are attracted to. It rules all things luxury, finances, romance, etc. In a Juno PC, Venus signifies the love language you have with your soulmate. It shows the aesthetics of your shared resources/materials, like a house. Venus is the softer and more pleasurable side of things, so it will show how you and your partner experience the joy of being together.
Mars in Juno Persona Chart:
If Venus is luxury and pleasure, Mars is how we pursue it. It's more than just sex. Mars rules over our passion and agression, our drive to achieve what we want, and how we generally react to challenging situations. Therefore in a Juno PC, it shows how you both deal with challenges/arguments/problems in the relationship, how you both work as a team to achieve/go after something, and your sex drive in the relationship.
Jupiter in Juno Persona Chart:
Jupiter rules over luck, expansion and growth. Wherever Jupiter is placed will show how you grow with your partner in the relationship. This growth refers to mental, emotional, and spiritual. Jupiter will show you the areas that hold the most abundance for your growth in the marriage/relationship. It shows how you and your partner grow together over the course of time.
Saturn in Juno Persona Chart:
If Jupiter expands, Saturn limits. Wherever Saturn is placed in your Juno PC will show the area of life that is restricted/limited in some or the other way in your relationship. It also shows how you and your soulmate deals with imposing limitations over certain things in your relationship, and what types of challenges you both will naturally encounter during the course of this relationship.
*NOTE - Neptune, Uranus and Pluto are very slow moving generational planets, therefore they are not necessary to look at separately in their zodiac signs. But you should check the house they fall in. Here's a quick overview of what each planet represents:
Neptune - Shows the spiritual/unconscious side of the relationship.
Uranus - Shows the erratic sudden changes you both bring into each other's lives.
Pluto - Shows what area of life hold the most power and chaos in your relationship.
A list of cool asteroids and what they mean in your Juno Persona Chart:
Kiss (8267) - This will tell you and your soulmate's kissing style.
Eros (433) - This shows physical attraction and sex specifically, in your relationship.
Fama (408) - This shows your reputation and fame that you both gain together.
House (4950) - This quite literally shows how your house is gonna be like, when you both live together.
Abundantia (151) - This shows what aspect in your chart attracts the most abundance.
Hera (103) - This is greek version of Juno, but it focuses more on the domestic life, fertility and home environment.
Union (1585) - This quite literally shows how you will meet your soulmate. Check the house and sign, this never disappoints.

A light flickered above your head. Giving you almost a headache as they have been flickering for the past hours. The room otherwise in complete darkness. You had been in this room long enough to not know if it was day or night. The clank of a handle being opened made you get up. The heavy door opening. At first a gaping dark hole till the first man appeared. Then the second. They each took on a side by the door.
Arms crossed. Then a third one entered. The woman. Her white coat reflecting against the darkened room. She entered more, gesturing for you to sit. Looking down behind you, you sat back down on the camping bed. She came kneeling before you, taking out a little flashlight. – “Can you tell me your name?” – she asked flashing the light in your eye.
It blinded you for a second as she swayed it to the side. – “Y/n Y/l/n.” – you answered as she shone in your other eye, repeating her gesture. – “Do you know where you are?” – she asked tapping your chin to open your mouth. So you did opening your mouth wide for her. She shone her flashlight in your mouth with a soft hum. Tugging her light away you closed your mouth once more.
“Somewhere South or North from Alexandria.” – you responded. – “Is that were you came from?” – she questioned. – “No.” – you let her know. She quirked her eyebrow up. – “Do you have any family?” – she said picking up your arm to observe. – “No.” – you replied. She turned and twisted your arm around for her to get a good look at it.
“How old is this one?” – she wanted to know. Furrowing your brows, you looked down at your own arm. – “Six months.” – you told her with a shrug. She hummed with a nod. She took your other arm taking a look at it. – “Do you know who I am?” – she asked curious. – “No, three months old.” – you told her seeing she was looking at another bitemark on your arm. She let go of your arm going lower. She lifted a bit of your pants up revealing your freshest wound. – “Recently.” – she spoke more to herself than asking a question. She lowered your pants again, getting slowly up.
“When you saved me, you told me you were looking for me… who are you?” – you asked when she was heading back for the door. She stopped turning back around with a smile. – “I am a scientist.” – she said. – “and you honey could save the world.” – she finished. By the entrance she faced one of the men you recognized from before they took you in. – “Keep her here for another day, just to be sure.” – she briefly glanced over her shoulder at you. You had pressed your hands between your legs, looking down.
They all left leaving you once more alone. You sighed deep looking up to the ceiling. Before you knew it your mind went to Rick and the others. Your absence all known to them by now. Slightly you wondered if they were looking for you. Perhaps Daryl was, but Rick surely not. He had made himself clear last time you saw him.
You were nothing to him and will remain nothing to him. Exhaling loud you laid down. Staring lost in front of you. Waiting the hours till you would get released from the isolation. All to be entirely save, the scientist had told you. As if your old bite marks weren’t enough to alert her you weren’t turning into a walker.
No she needed actual proof that you weren’t going to turn. Perhaps this was the best place for you to be. Away from the others so you couldn’t disappoint them more. Specially Rick as you had let him down numerous times. It wasn’t that you did it on purpose. It just appeared that doom followed you like a shadow. Always getting into trouble without even seeking it. Did the walkers perhaps liked how you smelled? Felt attracted to be near? Your head was spinning as you squeezed your eyes shut, wanting to block it all out.
Rick had geared up in silence. Sneaking out of his room and leaving the house. He still wasn’t sure what possessed him to go and search for you. Was it perhaps the guilt eating at him? Or perhaps the worriedness wanting to know where you were now. Were you save? Hurt? Dead? He felt himself go crazy without knowing the answer. Alexandria was still sleeping in when Rick left the house. He made his way over to the gate. He came to a stop sighing deep at the sight of Daryl. Daryl was holding his crossbow, leaning against the gate.
The moment he saw Rick he removed himself from against the gate. – “Finally let’s go.” – Daryl spoke opening the gate. Rick sighed loud with a shake of his head. – “I’m going alone.” – Rick insisted on walking up to him. – “No you aren’t.” – he heard from behind him. Rick exhaled deep turning around to Glenn and Michonne approaching. – “Guys listen I’m going alone.” – he pressed on. Glenn walked passed him, patting his hand on Rick’s shoulder. – “It has already been decided.” – he said. Michonne looked sternly at Rick not saying a word as she went after Glenn.
Daryl whistled loud. – “Rick! Come on!” – he called out. Rick touched his forehead brief before giving in and following the others. Daryl closed the gate behind Rick. – “Took you long enough.” – Daryl commented walking by Rick. He quickened his pace coming to a stop before Rick. – “For your sake she better not be dead.” – he poked Rick hard in the chest.
Rick took a deep breath, knowing this was all his fault. It sure as hell felt like it. The tense atmosphere hanging above their heads making it clear. Daryl to the lead with Glenn. It didn’t take them long to hear the gargling sounds of a walker. Daryl spotted it first. Laying on the ground, trying to crawl further.
Daryl took out an arrow closing in on it. The walker lifted their head up, snapping their mouth to Daryl. Squash. The swift strike of Daryl’s arrow point inside the walkers brain send it lifeless down. He took an interesting notice of the walker seeing a clear knife wound in it’s leg. – “This way.” – Daryl called out. Glenn came jogging over to his side. – “Was she here?” – he asked. Daryl hummed loud keeping a close eye on the ground.
The group went on following your trail. After a few hours walk they stumbled upon a deserted town. Glenn ran up to a walker laying down on the ground. – “Shot.” – he said. Michonne held her katana close looking carefully around. Daryl went towards the shop where the glass had been broken. The walker having clearly come from there. – “What do we do? She can be everywhere.” – Glenn pointed out, looking over at Rick. Rick’s expression was tense. – “We search every house.” – he replied. They decided to split up and search each compound for you. If you were still here.
The door opened once more as you slowly got up. A man entered lingering in the door opening. He gestured for you to come near. So you did with a bit of caution. Taking the first step out of the room felt strange. As if leaving a save place behind. Stepping into the unknown. The man guided you through a long corridor. Till you went into another room. A brightly lighted room. The lights hurt your eyes making you squeeze them till you had adjusted to the light. The scientist was also present in the room. – “How are you feeling Y/n?” she asked looking briefly up from her clipboard.
She continued to scribble on it before handing it over to another woman. – “Okay.” – you answered taking a tentative notice of the room. The scientist approached you. She motioned for you to open your mouth. So you did as she looked inside. – “Good.” – she muttered. – “Let me show you around.” -she started moving an arm around you. You got led out of the room into another corridor. It was the first time you noticed how many people were actually here. You always thought it was just the three of them. It appeared they were numbered. Some men were moving food packages from one table to another. A girl holding a clipboard and counting with her pen.
She noticed you were staring, curling up half a smile. – “We are with quite a lot. Grew over the last year.” – she explained leading you into another room. More people in white coats walking around. – “Are… are we at a lab?” – you questioned. – “Sort of.” – she answered. The people in white coats looked at you and waved. You waved shyly back at their sudden kindness as if they had known you for ages. – “They are very pleased with your presence. We all are.” – she went on taking you by the shoulders and guiding you into another room.
It was a smaller room, simple but comforting. She sat you down. – “Y/n I have something to ask of you.” – she started off. You swallowed nervously. – “I’m sure you are well aware of the immunity in your body.” – she said making you nod. – “Well you see with you we could create a cure to save a lot of people.” – she approached gently. – “Do you want to save us from this nightmare?”
You thought back of Rick and the other. Despite the struggles you still wished a peaceful world for them. Thinking about Carl and Judy made your shudder out a breath. You pulled up your sleeve showing her your arm. – “Will my blood cure us?” – you asked her. She subtilty changed her expression lowering your arm. – “Do you consent?” – she said. The words felt dry in your mouth. If drawing your blood could make a cure, it was worth the shot.
Even now you were still thinking about Rick. Wanting him to find peace. Perhaps he would be proud of you, knowing you cured the world. It would be enough to see him smile proudly at you. You hadn’t predicted it but they became like a family to you. The only thing you had left in this dying world. If they had a chance of living peaceful you would happily grant them that. You swallowed the knot down. – “Yes.” – you answered. The scientist thanked you.
Rick sighed deep. Every empty house he had searched made his heart sink deeper. Daryl, Glenn and Michonne weren’t lucky either. They had re-grouped in the middle of the deserted town. – “She’s not here.” – Rick said moving his hands frustratingly on his head, looking around with a hint of panic. – “I told you to come sooner!” – Daryl called out. – “But no you had to mope and hold a bloody grudge!” – Daryl finished shouting his words in frustration. Rick lowered his hands. – “I know this is on me!” – he shouted back.
“Look I don’t need to feel like hell for failing her! For failing her like I have failed every other godforsaken thing I care about. I don’t need it!” – Rick yelled back in anger. Glenn glanced over to Michonne seeing Rick turn at the brink of losing his mind. Rick crouched down, rubbing his lip to prevent it from trembling. – “Rick…” – Glenn began. – “Just go home.” – Rick answered. – “I’ll find her alone.” – he got back up turning to his friends. – “I’ll bring her back, I promise.” – he said to Daryl.
Daryl scoffed loud. Michonne seemed to be the only one paying attention to her surroundings. – “Car!” – she suddenly called out making everyone snap out of it. On cue a car raced around the corner into town. Rick and the others went into hiding, watching them from a distance. They watched as three men got out. A fourth one staying in the car.
They entered a building. Rick ducked down hearing shots being fired. – “Maybe they know?” – Rick mumbled to himself. – “Rick!” – Glenn shout-whispered pulling him back down. Rick freed himself going out of hiding over to them. – “Rick!” – Glenn called out trying not to be too loud. Rick went up to the car, startling the person behind the wheels. – “The hell!” – the guy called out opening his door.
“Please have you seen a girl around here? Her name is Y/n.” – he asked practically begging him. His other friends heard the commotion walking out. Two of them holding supplies. – “On your knees!” – the first one said, pointing a gun at Rick. Rick went on his knees, keeping his hands up. – “Please… I am looking for a girl. Have you seen her?” – he asked desperately. – “I…I…I have a picture of her…” – he lowered one hand as the second guy pointed his gun at Rick too.
“It’s just a picture.” – Rick said reaching with trembling hands to his pocket. The picture got pulled out as the third guy snatched the photo from his hands. He showed to his friend. – “The girl on the left… have you seen her?” – he begged. The first one tilted his head. – “What is she to you?” – he asked with a cocky nod. – “Family…” – Rick answered finally admitting it to himself. The first one glanced over at the fourth one behind Rick. Smack. A heavy blow to the head let Rick fall down. Darkness consuming him as he was off this world.
Rick inhaled deep slowly waking up. The world around him a blur. Slowly lifting his head up, he felt the throbbing pain on his back. He blinked rapidly, rolling over yet it was too fast as it knocked another wave of headache on him. The moment he noticed another person in the room, he snapped back to reality. A woman standing in regular clothing. – “What is she to you?” – she asked. Rick blinked a few more times to get himself more awake. – “I’m looking for a girl.” – he breathed out seating himself better on the bed.
“What is she to you?” – the woman asked again. It was still fuzzy in his mind as he couldn’t follow her words yet. – “Who?” – Rick answered as the world slowly stopped spinning. – “The girl with immunity.” – the woman replied firmly. Rick was suddenly wide awake. – “You have her! Where is…” – he tried to get up but stumbled right back, sitting back down. – “She’s being prepped for surgery.” – she spoke. Rick looked confused around. – “What surgery?” – he wanted to know.
The woman took a deep breath. – “Our doctor. He thinks the cordyceps has been growing with her since her first bite.” – she told him yet Rick wouldn’t have ears for it. – “Why is she in surgery?” – Rick wondered worriedly. – “It makes normal cordyceps thinks she is cordyceps, that is why she is immune.” – she went on to explaining. – “He is going to remove it from her and multiply the cells in a lab, produce a cure… and then we can give it to everyone.” – she finished.
He furrowed his brows a bit. – “Cor… cordyceps grow inside the brain…” – he answered slowly realising what it means. The woman kept staring at him with no emotion. – “It does.” – she answered turning to take her leave. – “Find someone else.” – Rick said stopping her from fully leaving the room. – “There is no one else.” – she sighed out. – “Look we didn’t tell her, we didn’t cause her any fear.” – the woman began while Rick was shaking his head. – “There will be no pain.”
Rick started to get up anxiously worried. – “No, you take me to her immediately!” – he ordered reiving a blow to the stomach. Rick fell coughing in pain. The woman held the man who had hit Rick in place. – “Please.” – Rick begged pitiful. – “She’s just a girl…” – he added looking heartbroken at her. – “And we are just trying to survive.” – she answered. She spoke to one of her guards. – “See him out. If he does anything.” – she glanced briefly down at him. – “Shoot him.” – she finished. Rick got pulled up, escorted out of the room. He glared at her when being moved passed her.
They led Rick to the stairway going down. Rick obeyed in silence being pushed from time to time. Half down the steps he stopped. – “Hey move it!” – one of the guards said. Rick took a deep breath before spinning around and grabbing his gun. The guard was taken off guard, letting go of the gun. Rick shot at him as he stumbled back against the wall. Rick elbowed the other one sending him down. He kicked his gun away. Grabbing him by the shirt, he pulled him up. – “Where is she?” – he asked. The guy whimpered shaking his head. Rick fired twice as he stopped twitching. – “I don’t have time for this.” – he spoke stepping over the bodies.
He went back up the stairs trying to find his way to surgery. His expression went stern, gun in the ready. Going through a door he fired at some people who were packing. They never stood a chance. He went on keeping his guard up. He encountered two scientists unarmed. He shot one of them down. – “Where!” – he shouted at the second one. The second one begged him not to shoot. – “Where?” – Rick repeated louder.
He pointed in a direction, shaking on his knees. Rick fired not giving a damn about him. He saw everyone in here as a threat. Each and every one responsible for abducting you and forcing you into this. Rick continued carefully. A guy surprised him as he managed to shoot it from up close. Some blood splattering on his clothing. The guy was squirming on the floor as Rick shot at his head without looking.
Everywhere he went he left a trail of dead bodies. An alarm had gone off warning everyone of him being loose. Rick entered another room finding a wide glass window. He froze for a second seeing the operating table. There you laid. Lifeless on the table as they had put you to sleep. He watched as the doctor took a scalpel nearing it to your head. Rick came in motion entering the operating room. – “Unhook her.” – he said pointing his gun.
The doctor and two nurses got startled, holding their hands up. – “How did you get in here?” – the doctor asked. Rick’s gaze was fixated on you on the table. Something snapped inside of him, shooting the doctor in the chest. The two nurses jumped out of fright. – “Unhook her!” – he ordered pointing the gun at them. The nurses squeaked with fear unhooking you. There appeared blood where they had pulled out the needle. – “Cover that up!” – he shouted as one of the nurses quickly plastered it.
They moved back, keeping their hands up. He neared you placing his gun down. Seeing the peaceful state of you made him emotional. Thinking how they were going to operate your brain without you knowing you would never wake up. Rick carefully picked you up in his arms.
He looked at the nurses with a dead stare. They were afraid to do anything. Rick walked out, carrying you. Your arm swayed having fallen off your lap. The alarm kept ringing as he made his way further down. Having killed almost everyone gave him an advantage. – “I’m sorry.” – he whispered to you. – “I’m sorry I didn’t see it before…” – Rick went down to the front with you. – “Stop!” – a voice called out making Rick turn with you. It was the same woman from when he woke up.
“You are making a terrible mistake.” – she breathed out. – “She can cure the world. What is the life of one girl against countless others?” – she asked. Bang. She looked down as the red stain formed on her shirt. – “Everything.” – Rick replied. She looked back up at him in shock. Her eyes rolled back before she fell backwards on the ground. Rick looked briefly down at you. He then turned around stepping into the daylight.

Ranger's apprentice OC Rowan Marlowe
Name: Rowan Marlowe
Fief: Deywis fief
Ranger number: 19
First appearance: The Early Years - as one of the rangers that come back in book 2. (Age 22)
(lore and map under the read more)
Tumblr media
Rowan is ranger of Deywis fief (on the map) ever since first war with lord Morgarath.
Rowan was apprentice to ranger Edward Thorpe, whom he first met when he had to untangle the ranger from a fishing net. Half of Rowan's family is in the fishing business on the east coast of Araluen.
He is a casual friend with Crowley Meratyn whom he knew ever since being apprentice.
A few years after the first war with Morgarath (Age 26), Rowan is sent to investigate the situation in Seaham fief, as Seaham doesn't have a ranger yet due to the lack of rangers after the war. The Seaham fief is a small fief east of Caraway, neighboured by Carnforth fief to the north and Deywis fief to the south. The Seaham fief struggles due to sudden surge of skandian raids and economic damage of the war. It is run by young baron Eiric Bowburn and his sister Aisling Bowburn. The baron of Carnforth fief, lord Cuthbert Galloway, is greedy and ambitious man who sees the struggling fief as opportunity to gain more power. He bribes bandits to plague the fief and tries discredit Eiric and prove him as incapable baron to the king Duncan. Rowan is sent there by Crowley to investigate the situation and together with Eiric and Aisling, the young ranger helps to uncover and thwart Cuthbert's plots.
Rowan and Aisling start to fall for eachother but they struggle with relationship across fiefs and Rowan himself still struggles with unresolved feelings from his breakup with the knight of Caraway castle, Cynric Blaiddwell, with whom he had relationship before being forced to leave Araluen when Morgarath was gaining power.
After the second war with Morgarath (Age 38), Rowan is tasked by Crowley to track and bring to justice one of Mortgaraths important lieutenants, Ransford Crayke.
Rowan tracks Ransford deep into Scottia territory, however, along the way Ransford murdered a little child of southern Scotti clan because he wanted to steal a horse. Upon tracking down Ransford, Rowan kills him in fight but not before being injured by Ransford. One of northern Scotti clans members with deep resentment of Araluen and rangers, happen upon dead Ransford and injured Rowan, and take the ranger captive, planning to execute him in their village.
Rowan escapes but due to being in harsh northern unknown, without equipment and weapons and still suffering due to his injuries, he eventually collapses and blacks out. He is found by southern Scotti clan warriors who went north to hunt down Ransford, who murdered the child of their clan. They know Rowan is innocent and that he actually killed Ransford and they take him to their village and nurse back to health out of honor and obligation but they do not feel very warm towards the ranger himself. However, as Rowan is gaining strength and heals, he makes friends amongst the clan. By this time, Cynric who went looking for him, arrives and together they leave for Araluen.
After MacHaddish's raid on castle Macindaw (Age 44), the tensions between Scotti and Araluen rise and Rowan is sent as negotiator due to his knowledge of land, language and people from his time in Scottia.
---
About the ranger Rowan Marlowe:
Rowan is of calm and analytical nature, he tends to be more quiet than loud but isn't gloomy or too withdrawn and doesn't hesitate to smile or laugh.
He is rather competent with standard ranger weapons and equipment but isn't much of a fighter. However he is an excellent tracker and thinker and often he is assigned missions by Crowley that fit these strengths.
He rides a smoky black mare called Spring, whose name doesn't have anything to do with season but rather the dance like spring she sometimes does when about to start walking. Spring has a bold manner of sticking her head in your cabin window if you fail to remember to close it.
---
Aisling Bowburn:
Aisling is clever and inquisitive, but measured and not an outward rebel, however she doesn't hesitate to show her displeasure and disagreement. She is a great singer and indulges in simple dresses and hunter outfits both. Aisling is good horse rider and wears a dagger, but it mostly serves as a tool as she isn't a fighter and avoids violence at all costs.
Due to Seaham being a rather small fief and her kind nature, Aisling makes sure to know people of the fief who love her and her brother in return.
Eiric Bowburn:
Eiric is the official baron of the Seaham fief but he often lets himself be heard that the fief is run both by him and Aisling. He is dyslexic and due to this, Aisling often helps with paperwork too. Eiric loves music and if he has his money to spare he often invites musicians to play at village surrounding the castle so it can be enjoyed common folk as well. Eiric is kindhearted like his sister with mischievous spark and would do anything anything for Aisling. As well as his sister, he also tends to know and help people of his fief. He is a good swordsman but prefers spear for its longer reach.
Cynric Blaiddwell:
Cynric is a knight of Caraway fief and one of MacNeils former students. He was born and grew in Deywis fief where met with Rowan, but moved to Caraway for his apprenticeship with MacNeil.
As apprentices, Cynric and Rowan met and became friends and eventually started dating. Their relationship cut short badly upon Morgarath gaining power due to differences in opinions and Cynric's tournaments fame. Cynric wasn't supporter of Morgarath but he and Rowan didn't see eye to eye about staying in Araluen or doing something about the whole Morgarath situation.
When Rowan came back to Araluen in TEY2, they could be friendly with eachother but there was a lot of tension and unresolved emotions that didn't really help. And after the war, they both went to their respective fiefs and didn't have a chance to talk for a few years.
Cynric is of cheerful but also rather emotional nature and is known to be prone to occasional outbursts.
Cynric is a very good swordsman and rather excels at jousting which earns him a lot of fame, which was one of the reasons he and Rowan broke up, due to them not knowing how to handle it.
Edward Thorpe:
Edward was Rowan's mentor. He was of a wild and energetic nature. He was a very good bowman, being rivaled only by Pritchard with whom he often bantered and the two of them often had ridiculous and silly beefs.
He only had one apprentice, Rowan, whom he met by being rescued by him from a disastrous fishing net.

A map for locations reference. Map is based on work to John Flanagan however I worked a bit loosely with coastlines, expanded Scottia/Picta for my plot needs and added locations of mentioned fiefs.

They love exploring their fantasies, & are usually not afraid 2 try everything, at least once - "u can never be 100%sure u don't like something, if you never try it" kinda mentality here. They can get turned on by people who's not afraid 2 throw a line at em/not afraid of taking the initiative! They find that sexy as hell, as they typically can be the ones initiating things! Cultured, curious, & smart people def gets them going - turned on by people who's ready2 explore their fantasies, without any inhibitions! They can be a big fan of spontaneous, wild, & free sex - can also get really turned on by hips/thighs usually<33.
LUST ASTEROID - 4386 IN VIRGO = sexually attracted 2/turned on by people younger than them/younger looking people/people who's more inexperienced than them/people they can "teach" sexually/clean looking people/clean in general. These people are usually more than willing 2 put their sexual partners fantasies/sexual desires/urges before their own - they want 2 learn how their partner's body works, & they work hard 2 get that O in, in their books for sure. They can get off simply by getting their partner off a lot of the time. These people can actually be quite freaky/kinky in bed, when they feel safe/secure enough 2 show that part of themselves.
Tumblr media
SUN CONJUNCT/TRINE MARS IN A WOMAN'S CHART, & SHE'S INTO MEN = usually really sexually attracted 2 really manly looking men - & she can also be really sexually attracted 2 alpha men, but only the confident, secure, & kind ones - not the cocky, conceited, "my dick is bigger than yours" loser ones. MOON CONJUNCT/TRINE MARS IN A MAN'S CHART can show us a man that loves sex being full of feelings/emotions, passion, teasing, & most important of all - security. If he wants 2 cry during sex, he wants 2 do it without someone maybe laughing right in his face. Or if he has some kind of fantasy/fetish, he isn't quite comfortable with himself yet = he won't risk telling just anybody - he really needs that trust, before opening up 100% sexually. MARS CONJUNCT/TRINE/SEXTILE URANUS can be really into phone sex/getting off from videos, & pictures2📹📱💻. These people can also get sexually aroused outta nowhere, or they just suddenly feel the need 2get off, NOW. These people can love the most unused sex positions, they can even invent a sex position of their own - they like it more when they're the ones creating. JUPITER CONJUNCT/SQUARE NYMPHE ASTEROID - 875 can show a person wanting to have sex/get sexual/get off A LOT. Like, If they could = they would probably fuck their whole life away😭😂. No but fr, they can be really really fixated on gratification/sex in general.
5TH HOUSE is that passionate, fun, & "casual/dating sex". 8TH HOUSE is that deep intimate soul merging/transformative sex.
Tumblr media
LUST ASTEROID - 4386 CONJUNCT NORTH NODE = people whose life purpose is part of exploring their sexual urges/desires, really figuring that out4 themselves, since it's not common for them with the opposition 2 South Node - it's something completely NEW 2 them! They can feel so uncomfortable with baring themselves in the beginning, but once they get going, &get comfortable = new kind of confidence unlocked baby✅. MARS CONJUNCT/TRINE/SEXTILE WILD ASTEROID - 1941 can show a person being into some really unseen/wild shit when it comes 2 sex - getting sexual/or they're just wild in bed in general/can be the type 2 not really say no2 anything, unless they're just not that into u/or REALLY just not that into whatever thing they get asked about.
VENUS ASPECTING BLACK MOON LILITH are the ones being sexually attracted 2 people from a different "class"/race/country/religion - or they can feel sexually attracted 2 people they shouldn't really feel a sexual attraction2 sometimes - "taboo shit".
MARS IN 5TH HOUSE can be a big fan of casual sex/friends with benefits arrangements/or be a big fan of having sex with date partners before the date ends/or ofc just a fan of fucking around4fun. MARS IN 8TH HOUSE do not fuck4fun, or for casualty. They need a soul/deep connection with someone 1st. They don't give out their sexual energy freely like that - u have 2 prove you're worthy 1st - whatever they deem that is. Time doesn't matter here - it's about the connection, & the intimacy - so they could easily have sex with someone on the 1st night, but there HAS 2 be some deep unexplainable connection of some kind! - Which rarely happens 4 these natives.
Tumblr media
5TH HOUSE RULER IN 7TH HOUSE are usually the dating 2 marry type, & they're also the ones that can wait with having sex until marriage. 5TH HOUSE RULER IN 11TH HOUSE can date/get into "love affairs" with people they're friends with/with friends friends/step siblings friends/with people they collaborate with/meet online/or with people they meet through mutual shared causes! VENUS/JUNO IN 5TH HOUSE can show a person mostly dating around, not really committing 100% a lot - &when they do find somebody2 commit2 = if they break up, they're usually out dating around again pretty fast - "the best way 2 get over someone, is 2 get under someone else". NORTH NODE IN 5TH HOUSE can show that exploring one's sexuality/exploring pleasures/desires while dating/dating around is part of one's life purpose.
WOMEN WITH KLETT ASTEROID - 2199 IN VIRGO can be REALLY picky when it comes 2 who they let hit/get sexual with🙅🏼‍♀️ - That's also why they can be quite inexperienced at times. Masturbation isn't really a thing they care about either, - usually. Very into the health/cleanliness of their vagina.

MEN WITH DICK ASTEROID - 17458 IN CANCER got that safe, & secure boyfriend dick💋. U know what u get almost every time, AFTER the 1st time - so you're never left disappointed. MEN WITH DICK ASTEROID - 17458 IN CAPRICORN Can be very "clumsy" sexually/in the sexual department throughout their teenage years/young adult years - but they're usually sexually "advanced" at around 30-35 years of age💚.
MEN WITH DICK ASTEROID - 17458 IN AQUARIUS = def not a basic boyfriend dick. Something about it can be alien like - not in a bad way, daddy chill😭😂😂. But the length, the thickness, the way it stands when erected/or simply the look of it in general IS DIFFERENT. Not a basic dick, okay. Appreciate it! MEN WITH SATURN CONJUNCT/TRINE/QUINTILE DICK ASTEROID - 17458 can show them holding forever in bed💀😭😂 - Can also show that they're talented at withholding themselves from cumming!🫰🏼 Also pretty good self esteem when it comes2their dick usually.
MEN WITH SATURN SQUARE/QUINCUNX DICK ASTEROID - 17458 can show performing issues - problems with getting erections/feeling bad about their dick - self esteem issues/or issues with cumming2fast.
