Like the strawhats keep commenting that Ace is so polite and restrained compared to Luffy but like. This dude drags himself out of the ocean just to thank them for looking after his brother and offer to help wash dishes. Mans asks "Are these guys bothering you?" and proceeds to blow up an entire fleet with his bare hands. He trips over himself to make sure all of Luffy's crew likes him and no, really, you don't mind that he's a weirdo???? That we, I mean he, are feral little insane guys who take up space and emotional labor and are kind hard to handle? Really???? That viral post that's going around about how people who write "book quality" mlm fic are too "normal" to publish and have real jobs so only "weird" people publish their "shitty" fanfic is so completely out of touch with reality and I am giving a massive side eye to everyone reblogging it.

Not only is it completely, easily verifiably untrue (you cannot enter any professional writing space without tripping over a dozen grizzled scifi writers who got their start by filing off the serial numbers and publishing their Star Trek fanfic even going back decades ago??? it's a whole thing?? plus how can you look at the mlm category on Amazon right now and say with a straight face that people aren't publishing shitty Spirk and Stucky fanfic??? Oh, honey...) it's also the perfect example of this kind of sneering elitism that true artists would never sully themselves by seeking profit, they do it only for the purity of the thing that always somehow leads back to, "no one should be paid to make art, actually."

The only reason you're seeing more published fanfic right now has nothing to do with the idealistic purity of your hypothetical government employee written smut of the past vs the debased scribbles of those awful straights of today and everything to do with the fact that a) self-publishing has created a voracious readership that wants a ton of content so it's become a viable, flexible income stream for many, especially disabled people b) anyone can publish now with self-publishing tools so there are less gatekeepers and c) lockdown got a lot of people into fandom and therefore writing who never tried it before.

And if you really think there's no "shitty" published mlm and no "book-quality" m/f writing out there that started as fanfic, then you are clearly not a reader so why are you even talking about this?

Introducing KOBD ( and Wildbreak) into Thorns and Thrones AU!!

These two play the part of Rescuers to both Sir Orion and Megatronus at a turning point in their quest!

I’m thinking KOBD are the ones who come across them after this scuffle in the snow gone wrong >:]

Knockout and Breakdown are currently lone travelers on a journey off to the Dinobot Isles! The couple ventured out of the desolate, ever-increasing decay of Decepticon lands in a hurry to secure a stable future for their adorable new addition.

With the re-entering strict Autobot lands clearly not presenting itself to be a safe option to settle down, these two, with their little one in tow, have been making the lengthy journey to the coastlines.

Allies anxiously await their arrival—both in determination to seeing their old friends safe, as well as being in great need of their skills as both healers and warriors.

Trouble is stirring in the cavernous mountains that aid in the sustainment of the Isles. Those who have ventured up for recourses are returning with fewer numbers, strange wounds, and even stranger stories of the web-wielding demon supposedly responsible.

Knockout and Breakdown are off to offer their help in exchange for a place to call home—but first they have to figure out what the hell an Autobot and LORD MEGATRON-!?!? are doing all the way out HERE??

Perhaps after Optimus (ohhh that’s his name!) and Megatron (whoops! merc cover blown) get patched up, their rescuers and new friends made in the Isles will wrangle them into an adventure in the mountains—for for Primus’ sake get them some new gear!!!
