- Not assertive in the slightest, and usually, respectfully, keeps to himself. -Takes orders without verbal complaints but inside he's annoyed as fuck 🚩 - Even if he hates doing something he'll probably just go "Okay" and do it anyway, and he'll sulk all day afterwards - Refuses to tell you what's wrong because he thinks he'll sound childish.🚩 - If you push the issue, he might snap at you out of annoyance like "Would you just let it be??" - Immediately feels guilty and shameful, and he'll hide away until he's ready to apologize and face you again - Also kind of a know-it-all... - Impossible to read sometimes - Like Arthur, Charles tends to keep a lot of his emotions bottled up until he feels like he's gonna pop 🚩 - Like most of the men in the Van Der Linde gang, Charles is also prone to acting violently. I mean, he started a bar fight with a fucking chair, and he fights in street fighting rings, let's be real for a second.🚩 - He's incredibly quiet and reserved a lot of the time, and sometimes you just assume that he's listening to you when you talk, but a lot of the time, he's lost in his own thoughts. - Will do everything anyone asks him to at the expense of his own free time and energy, and sometimes he works himself to exhaustion just to try and please everyone.🚩 - In doing so, he sometimes doesn't have time for himself at the end of the day. It also seems like you spend time together less and less as the days go on. - If he ever got himself hurt and you tried to help him, he'd decline any help with anything to save his own pride. I'm probably missing something sorry but that little black dude (Silho???) in the shadows... Are they like, Mr H's second separate crazy persona? Or was I thinking something wrong

Silho is literally just Mr. H's embodiment of his negative mental state, as well as his ego and his unhinged behavior, thats what Silho survives off of. Developed from Mr. H's childhood, he started off as just a voice inside H's head, then his shadow on the wall, over time he would start to develop a "physical" form to actually interact w/ Mr. H more. All of which is only able to be seen or heard from Mr. H. No one else...besides Amy at one point. Here's a visual for that:

Silho's personality and his attitude is based off Mr. H's since he's literally just Mr. H, but as a funni lil delusion. He's narcissistic like Mr. H, he's stubborn like him, everything abt Mr. H is what Silho bases itself off of, except puts his own lil funni spin on it, like his words and personality. Silho is also manipulative like Mr. H, using it against him to make Mr. H feel vulnerable with his own feelings and make him more negative

Silho loves to praise Mr. H but whenever H brings someone else up, like Amy or Miles for exa, Silho always brings the topic of Mr. H himself, back, cuz narcissism. But if Mr. H were to ever doubt himself or speak negatively abt himself, that would affect Silho negatively, makin him cry even, physically hurting Mr. H as a result, forcing him to find Silho somewhere and hug him till he's better. The plot twist is, Silho knows what he's doin, he knows he's hurtin Mr. H every time him and Silho interact is inside his head when he dissociates

The almighty tallest were probably dumber than zim

As delusional, idiotic, paranoid, over reactive, mentally warped, and insane as zim is, he actually is capable of acknowledging when he's outmatched, in danger, or in need of assistance

The tallest had an extremely easily avoidable and obvious death heading their way and did nothing to prevent it for no reason other than stubborn laziness

I've written this one specifically for Arkham Scriddler because they've been on my mind.

Snapping up from the bed as he was pulled from his disturbed sleep by a high-pitched scream, it took Jonathan a moment to realise that the sound was issuing from between his own torn lips. Strangling the noise immediately, the shiver which overtook his thin torso was intense enough that his hands instinctively wrapped around his chest in a vain attempt to quell the shuddering.

His nightmares proved as stubborn as his conscious thoughts and the residual memories which featured in his night terrors seemed loathe to leave him fully. He could still feel it, the sharpness of the freezing water which filled his lungs, throwing his body into immediately shock which was probably the only thing which saved him from the inhumane teeth which ripped through his frame.

Had he had been in shock, he would have struggled, and struggling was tantamount to death when clamped between the teeth of a feral beast. In a single moment, Waylon Jones had ripped more than just his flesh from him. He had taken his mobility, his strength, and some of his sight; in return leaving him with a chronic pain which would never truly heal, discomfort that soured his every waking moment and made him dependent on medication which was not always easy to access.

A soft snore from his side drew his attention and he glanced down to see Edward still asleep, somehow having slept on through the noise. His hair appeared deeper than usual in the darkness but the thick lines of his face were smoothed out and calm, a graceless expression on his features.

Jonathan was thankful he was asleep. Not that he held any shame over his nightmares. Not when Edward was just as afflicted by his own demons. It was a shame they shared equally and that made the burden easier to bear.

Laying back down, his fingers quaking in the chill of the night, Jonathan sighed as he resigned himself to another broken sleep.

As though sensing something was amiss, a warm hand snaked across his stomach, the fingers brushing along the scarred clawmarks which decorated his pale skin. A quick glance to the side confirmed that, yes, Edward was still asleep, but in his sleep he was seeking something.

Allowing the calloused hand to guide him, Jonathan found himself being pulled closer to Edward's thicker frame as the genius coiled himself around like a second skin as he chased the warmth which he was craving.

Even asleep, Edward was a vampire. Taking what he wanted from those around him without too much thought for their own wants or needs.

Pure narcissism.

Easy to indulge and even easier to manipulate.

In this moment though, when not even the birds has awoken to signal the breaking of a new day, Jonathan allowed the small indulgence, telling himself that it was merely a way of securing heat for a better nights rest.

A Guide to Shipping

as a disclaimer: this is a comprehensive guide to how to form a bond with my muse. Including relationships of all types ; friendship, friendships of need, work related, familial, unrequited, purely sexual, or completely romantic. Such relationships are not limited to these listed, but they are the 'easiest' to dive into.

as a second disclaimer: Qistina is not a character who will change for another person. She will remain as ruthless and monstrous as she so desires, changing only by her own volition. She is rotten and wicked, and depending on the verse, highly murderous. With that being said, let's begin.

trigger warnings for: Machiavellianism, literal witch hunting, death and resurrection, horror elements, and traditionalist views.

For starters, her availability depends upon the verse she's in. Her past is the same spiritually, but its aesthetics and alchemys' rules will vary. I'll be focusing more on approaching her and learning her love regardless.

|| Traumas and Aversion to Bonds ||

Without diving too deeply into her history, as you can read that on her carrd, to put it simply Qistina is a troubled woman who does not open her heart easily. She retains the demeanor of a pleasantly delighted woman who happily makes conversation and will show much interest in your thoughts, ideals, and ethics. Qistinas heart is wounded and bleeding, unable to heal completely from the betrayal of her fellow village folk.

There is a good and compassionate heart deep down, but it is behind a murky ocean of thorns. To traverse this ocean, you have to understand something KEY to her heart : Her alchemy takes priority over everything. Her work is her treasure trove, like a dragons dream, and it can't and won't be placed behind anyone or anything. . . in special circumstances, your importance can be very subtly placed to the forefront of her obsession. There is also the high probability of her deadly attachment to your muses life. She exhibits highly manipulative tendencies, as part of her survival methods ; questioning and remembering any talks of your muses likes and dislikes, friends and family, and even your muses enemies.

Though she will not intervene, she will take careful consideration of these parts and remember your muse when certain elements crop up. She remembers birthdays, and even the most minute details ― it's a part of her love language, in a way. Her misunderstandings of how love works and how such feelings are leading to being in love with a person. She finds disappointment in inaction, contradiction, and laziness - so if your muse is highly susceptible to such bouts, they'll certainly see how far her cruel words will take her.

Though it is verse dependent that she is essentially immortal, Qistina still retains a deeply cosmic view of life and death. her connection to the soul of the earth through her alchemy, she looks at both on both technical and spiritual levels, to a point where it could possibly make your muse uncomfortable ― though, ( in some verses ) only when such a topic makes itself known. She is also openly willing to mock the more religious views of people, highly preferring more logical approaches to the human experience. What is dead is dead. When the soul is gone the soul is gone and only possible to retrieve by an extreme transmutation of value of importance by the of her person. She is highly stubborn and will 99% of the time never EVER budge.

Qistina carries herself with a sense of regality that borders on narcissism. The lightly drawn border is made by her openness to her mistakes, flaws, and ignorance of other topics ( not related to alchemy, modern people, technology, etc etc )

|| To Build a Bond of Any Sort ||

It truly does not matter to her where your muses alignment lies, Qistina can form a bond with just about anyone if her interest is there. Any sort of personality, background, or profession could potentially catch her eye - keeping in the same path of her own narcissism, Qistina will simply view her own alchemy as superior to anything. She must be interested in your muse to form any sort of bond whatsoever ( yes, this includes enemies ) it's part of the reason she can be so difficult to get under her skin or form bonds at all. She doesn't hate, but she doesn't openly love either.

|| Physical Affection ||

She has no boundaries when it comes to touch or touching your muse. She will stand nose to nose with your muse, take hold of their face or hands, and not really pay any mind to any boundaries unless she cares about your muse enough to take into consideration their feelings. As for her, when in a romantic relationship, she becomes even more invasive and snuggly. Much like a kitten in need of warmth. A safe space to be sleeping. The moment your feelings of romance are known, she'll quite quickly shift into such a state.

Perhaps her favorite form of affection is playing with hair. Petting, smelling, resting her head against ― indeed, it may just become a security blanket for her. She also greatly enjoys both the idea and the action of washing their hair and combing through the strands with a finely-smelling oil or tonic. A head in her lap or sitting closely in front of her.

|| Romance ||

The likelihood of her revealing her romantic intentions is slim to none. In any verse, she will resolve to torture herself in the one area in which she is sorely lacking ― love. Her heart has been terribly burned and torn from that centuries-old wound of being hunted as a witch, so naturally, there are significant hurdles you must climb to reassure her that you love her. That you want her. That you care. She is naturally mistrusting to her own romantic feelings and will surely put herself down regardless of how obvious your muse is.

Understand, because of her evil nature and how open she is with her intentions and wants, she has a deeper acknowledgment of how the world or a potential romantic partner shall think of her. Most good-natured persons, for example, could probably speak to her plainly as more friendly bonds ― but she does not fool herself into daydreaming of becoming closer to such people. She knows her nature is deplorable to the wider world, and that while others may be cordial to her there is little chance of love blooming within the hatred for her actions in their hearts.

Therefore there will be absolute honesty from her. She tells no outright lies because she simply has nothing to lose.

|| Sex and intimacy ||

As a woman who had been born in the 1400s she had been raised with a stern and strictly misogynistic hand, which attributes greatly to the lack of pursuing any relationship at all. It is simply 'not what women do'. For her, the mother chose a family to marry into. A dowry is given to the husband's family. She is married and raises children and cares for the home and the money coming in. Etc. Etc. Highly old and traditional, and she will mention such things ( the severity of this mindset is dependent on the verse itself, as in most alternate verses, she is not immortal ).

Even if she is feeling romantic toward a muse, she will sit and wait to be approached. If she isn't approached, she will simply think that your muse is not interested in her romantically. If your muse discovers her feelings and questions her, she may even apologize and act as if she's already been rejected. In terms of a dating sim, Qistina's path is the rarest and most difficult path to take. but once you've arrived at your destination, she will hold fast to your arm and help you even further down that path to understanding your love together.

She needs patience and passion. Open completely to give body and soul to her partner. Slowly, worshiping, gentle. Every part of her lovemaking is contradictory to the wickedness she proudly displays. Once blasphemous is now holy, once hellish is now heavenly, and other such examples. She is tender in her care of her partner, and her hands will never stray from their side. As if it weren't obvious, she will be very unlikely to have one-night stands or casual flings. She values the privacy of her body, and wouldn't want just anyone to look at her.

|| preferences ||

She is demisexual, so she doesn't have a strict preference for gender. However, she does gravitate more toward male-presenting muses. More traditionally masculine, muscular, and strong. Outward appearances rarely hold any importance to her at all, but she will appreciate a well-groomed muse. A sloppy dresser may turn up her nose, but if their personality is strong enough she may just overlook it. It's not impossible, but good luck with that.

|| Friendship ||

To be frank, true friendship with her is just as difficult as romance. She does not trust, she does not presume, and she does not expect you to stay. Those who manage to form that bond of friendship however are and always have been a certain class of muse: the unconventional. Muses who mirror her personality or murderous intentions, or muses who are simply beyond human intentions. The otherworldly, gods, demons, or other 'evil' muses. It's not impossible to truly befriend her if your muse is of the lawful good, but it could prove a task if your muse cannot withstand the onslaught of her disregard for morals and laws of nature and her openness to it.

It is much easier to be her 'friend' if you are of the same mindset as herself. . . or if you are an animal.

|| hard stops ||

aside from the triggering tags in my rules, there are threads and types of relationships I will not be a part of. Essentially, these will kill the ship faster than anything else. Any mention of cheating, noncon, treating her like a lesser being, or belittling her work in any way ( including insults to alchemy itself or even worse - insults toward her chimera Basker ) will effectively end the ship. I will not write cheating or noncon threads, and she will not tolerate being spoken down to. She would rather kill your muse for it. Period.

|| children ||

I am fine with her having biological children, as in her main verse she is several hundred years old with a husband and they have many, but I rarely write pregnancy-related threads in excess. Perhaps a drabble here or there, but I will never discuss it too often as I know many people do not wish to think about it.

When in doubt, let me know. As I've said before, she's more 'traditional' and is still within the mindset that she 'must have children with her partner' so the topic will pop up for her. Again, when in doubt just ask me about it.

|| musical undertones ||

deep cellos, weeping violins, solo six-string guitars, and sincerely resonating pianos. A dark, frightening performance with the subtly of sorrow when listened to closely. Music associated to her romances has a whistful feel to it. Something classical goth.

|| gifts ||

A simple alchemist living her life in the deep deep woods, there is not much she wants for that she cannot make for herself. Depending on the verse, she may not even see it as a 'gift', however, there are particular things that she does appreciate and will certainly endear your muse to her heart.

Handmade gifts in particular show not only a thoughtfulness to her, but show her a creative side that she may have overlooked before. It's important to her to watch creativity of some kind. Giving her something flowery that she has perhaps never seen before is also a good deal.

By far the best is gifting her new bits of information or books. Introducing her to new animals, flowers, clothing, or even quality of life upgrades to her everyday tasks that she's been doing the old fashioned way for so centuries! It's appreciated, and she'll think of you far more than usual.

I don't think the Tower of Time likes me very much.

Really driving home the idea that I need to learn patience and not to rush stupidly into things. This is almost like training. Highly lethal training.

But given my contract with Quarble, does lethality even mean anything? I'll become a For Realsies Messenger and get sent to some point in time to... I guess, deliver a message... if I make it through without dying. But since I can't die in any way that matters, this is more of a training gauntlet than a mortal test.

Is that a bug of the Messenger system, or a feature?

Third option: Cruel prank. A cruel prank of the Messenger system. Shopkeeper's watching me on CCTV and laughing as my flesh melts from my skin and my bones are ground into powder.

To be honest, there's something beautiful about this space we're in. I know we're, like... temporally unmoored or something. But you can see the Sea of Stars out there in the great beyond and it really makes you think about how small you are in the grand....

What would have happened if Silco had taken both Vi and Jinx in as daughters?

There's already the wonderful Fathers & Daughters on Ao3 by Blue Daddy's Girl that has a great in-depth take on that. Also one of my fave Arcane fics in general for worldbuilding<3

My own take is less family-friendly. And why I'd never write it lmao.

tw: unhealthy family dynamics, narcissism, sociopathy

Vi and Silco's dynamic would not be unlike Thorfinn and Askeladd from Vinland Saga - resentment and rage that skates a fine edge of respect as the years pass, but is in general deeply uncomfortable to both experience and to be around.

Silco has a bond with Jinx, and sees her as a representation of his own wounded self - and Zaun's ingenious spirit. Vi is Vander: the weakness of complacence, the collaborationist mindset, the doomed centricism. He'd relish stamping out those seeds of pacifism Vander tried planting in Vi, and making her his own personal attack dog (shades of this will play out in FnF).

Vi would end up his Hound of the Underground Part II.

His and Vi's personalities would cause frequent clashes. (Both are stubborn af, deeply opinionated and will get right up in your face if you displease them). He'd likely seek out Jinx for unloading emotional troubles, and salving his own wounded streak. She'd be doted on and spoiled. His literal golden child.

With Vi, he'd find himself playing out a lot of the trauma and disagreements that he'd had with Vander. She'd trigger him just by breathing. With that in mind, he'd simultaneously keep her at an arm's length, but also be weirdly obsessed with her capacity for violence.

If we take the Dark Vi route, where she yields to his lessons, she'd become his prized Enforcer. Even Sevika would take a backseat to her influence over the Lanes. (Sevika would be resentful but imo, not as hostile. I do think Vi's presence would neutralize Jinx's meltdowns, so there would be less chances of the mission going up in flames.)

If we take the Vi-has-a-good-heart-route, she'd become his scapegoat, and the target for plenty of needling, negligence and mistreatment - "Weak as Vander. Worse." Vi in turn would always despise him for destroying her family, and the Lanes by proxy.

In older years - if Zaun achieves independence and they both mellow out - they might start tolerating each other, as Silco will have to shift his purview from achieving victory at all costs to keeping Zaun safe and making it livable. Jinx might design a lot of the infrastructure, and be his Hex-gem whiz for national security. But he'd seek Vi's opinion on matters of social welfare and community wellness. She'd also realize in time that however ruthless his means, Silco does in his own way want Zaun to have the best.

They'd never be the kind of father/daughter that get all huggy and exchange cards. (In fact in FnF I write them more as siblings in their dynamic). However, he'd be interested in her welfare, and she'd be the first one to call if he has an emergency re: Jinx.

there's a certain stubbornness to my approach to art.

i'm always trying to improve, trying to make something that's better than the last, but there are clear shortcomings i have no interest in fixing. in music, for example, there's an arms race. and this arms race takes many forms, be it plugins, guitar tone, composition, or just a general vibe.

it's competitive. and there's a clear, visible delineation between the people competing and the people not competing. a lot of people in my life are competing. they're always hunting for a sound no one else has their hands on yet. to be honest, this competition doesn't interest me at all. it bores me, and it sets you up with this constant win/loss dynamic depending on where your arsenal stands relative to everyone else's. it makes me uncomfortable to participate in. so i, either deliberately or just due to being a creature of habit, resist upgrades at every turn. i will use the oldest shittiest tools i can for as long as they last, and begrudgingly upgrade when i have literally no other option.

but even an an out-opter of this race, it still feels like failure to not participate. oh my god. did you hear that one part of that essential mix. how the fuck did he make that sound. i don't know man. i thought we left the "technical skill = good" argument in the 70s. you'll often see people who find themself winning try to scratch their way out of the competition as soon as possible, too. skrillex left the vocoder growl --the sound that made him famous-- in the past after only a handful of tracks.

it's also possible that all of this is in my head. i still seek growth… through feeling, through structure, maybe others just seek growth through tools and HOLY FUCK!s instead. i'm well aware i have a tendancy to seek complex patternic explanations for my own inadequacy complex. it's also true that the amount of validation you receive is not necessarily correlated with how good of a job you are doing. the landscape is very chaotic, and oftentimes the simpler and less expert art is what connects because it's closer in proximity to the brain of a consumer.

i often think of what sort of life i would be leading if i had devoted my life to illustration rather than writing and composition. if i would grapple between integrity and accessibility, if my fanart blowing up would make me depressed in relation to my unloved original stories. if i would find myself frustrated that my technically gifted allies couldn't find an audience next to my memey dysgraphic catscratches. if i would come up with a whole neurotic structure in my mind, of the way the game works, of the way i don't fit within it, of the way everyone else knows what they're doing and i don't. i wonder if people who are equally devoted to two things find themselves understanding the world better. a formatiel bilingua. another wall to synthesize between. maybe if i care about writing enough i'll learn the answer myself.

really it all comes down to narcissism. i have somehow convinced myself that, if i maybe try a little bit, not exceptionally hard, but only a little bit, maybe i will somehow magically be good enough and worthy of critical praise. lol! how bold! how entitled! you think you could be better than people who bled and cried for it? who dedicated every waking moment? who didnt spend the first 15 years of their life playing call of duty? by doing fucking nothing? you should be so lucky.

whatever happened to me that made me like this i sure don't seem to have any way to fix it. since basically the moment i discovered i can make whatever i want with a computer i have not stopped or slowed down and as a matter of fact it has probably gotten worse this decade than any other. i'm doing better in my real life at least.

what was i talking about, again? oh yeah, systems.

i still think, on the whole, there is something radical about art made with very few man-hours behind it. if we know being world-class at something requires time and money and being in the right places and having the right people around you, why is it valued as inherently good? is it not spitting in the face of the structure to hit the cello with a hammer? im a junkie for bad art, i try to walk as perpendicularly to the line of objective quality as possible. oh this extremely coveted painting is just a black canvas? tight. okay maybe the millions of dollars in laundered money being passed around to exchange ownership of it isn't tight… you know what i mean. i think thats why i like friend art so much. or things that have big nasty warts on them to scare away anyone who grew up on pristine, 40 person projects being churned out by industries who stand to profit.

the arms race to me is an idealism. an appeal to the systems that say effort = good. inaccessible = good. difficult = good. if you suffered more its more better. well fucking maybe i dont like suffering. sue me. whatever.

Heya I just finished Sonic Frontiers and while I was trying to avoid spoilers, I did think of you when it came to the Eggman stuff in the game. I can definitely understand why you would be disappointed in the direction they went with with his character in the game. I don't mean to come off as trying to argue against your take away or say your feelings are wrong at all, how you feel is totally valid, but I just wanted to say when it came to how my interpretation of it was:

to me it felt like Eggman having a view of himself as Sage's father felt like it came from a place of his typical narcissism and psychopathy. There's the Egg Memo where he looks down on the idea of creating life as "just a bunch of proteins bumping together" and that the life HE created is so great and awesome because HE made it. It felt like almost like self deification or something. HIS creations, and his method of creating them, are superior to the genetic accidents of nature. He even kind of comes across as thinking the idea of procreation via sexual reproduction is sickening to him.

When he says he's proud of Sage it's like saying "I'm so proud of the new song I just put out" it's not like you're saying you think the song is doing a good job. It's an expression of self pride. He's literally saying he's proud of the thing he created, he's proud of HIMSELF. Anything she accomplishes is a reflection of his own genius. And in the end he's still willing to let her sacrifice herself without hesitation. There's no emotional second guessing or doubt, he just says "yup, go do it, I know you'll succeed (cuz I made you and I'm awesome)." That's just how it came across to me anyway.

I mean Eggman's usual ego tripping is still present all over the game. In the Egg Memo where he mentions Maria, he literally says "why was everyone so head over heels with Maria when I'M THE REAL STAR OF THE SHOW HERE!" And when he teams up with Sonic on the last island he does so under the rationalization of inducting Sonic into a part of the Eggman Empire and then ORDERING him to go collect the chaos emeralds. It felt on brand to me anyway.

Like I said I definitely get why you would come away from it feeling sour. Hopefully the idea that Eggman is canonically a DILF now is comforting? (I was making a lot of "I call Eggman daddy too" jokes during the final stretch of the game >.> )

I appreciate the understanding of my feelings about it. It's nice and refreshing to have someone finally present a different perspective without insulting my intelligence and denying the knowledge I have about Eggman and raising some actual points.

Your interpretation is definitely one of the few accurate ways I feel it would go if they wanted the dynamic to exist at all and I'd really like to believe it was the case and intention with it. And it actually almost would've came off that way to me as it mostly felt one sided from Sage only on an actual genuine sincere level, if it weren't for the weird parts of the memos where Eggman called her "the best" and acted like he sees her as an actual being and family, and how the final scenes tried to make it sad and dramatic and imply sincerity on a deeper level than pride in a creation.

He should've just said something typical like she's his greatest creation yet, so he's especially clear that he's praising himself as creator because he'd never say any other being was "the best", as they imply he sees her as a person rather than AI. They almost got that reflection of ego in it right in the memo about being able to create life and the superiority of him being the creator and I liked that (and how it can be interpreted as aversion to actual sexual reproduction lol) but again, the implication of seeing her as more than an AI and like family doesn't feel right to me.

His selfish thoughts on Maria (aside from the weird questioning of if Sage was like her because why would he care) and how he acted towards Sonic with his childish stubbornness in needing to feel he was still getting his way by ordering Sonic for the Empire are my favorite parts and this interpretation would've fit in perfectly with them. I can see him saying he's proud and she's his greatest creation yet for her loyalty like he has with other creations and yeah, everything he praises and is proud of is actually just reflecting pride in himself as her creator no matter what.

But calling her the best and seeing her as anything more than artificial and even as family made it seem too personal and sincere. There were memos that seemed to be going in the right direction but took weird turns, and especially in the final scenes as if they wanted us to believe that he suddenly saw a creation as important beyond serving their purpose, saw her as a person and family, and cared about someone in any way since he seemed upset to let her go and lose her, rather than just disappointed like simple line changes would've done.

And that's what bothers me most about it really, how it feels like they got so close to getting it right at multiple points and it kind of seemed that this interpretation was the real intention and I love it- but then the implications of thoughts of being like family and caring for "the feels" had to be abruptly forced into the memos and final scenes and ruin it and made him seem like Mr. Tinker with Belle to me, instead of anything the real Eggman would think and feel and act. But just small adjustments to the English dialogue would've changed everything.

It makes me feel better to try to think of the scenes with this interpretation in mind but I feel like that's not what they were really trying to go for with those weird parts that stick out and feel ooc in particular and I'm sad about it because it would've been so much more accurate this way instead. But it's been done in a way that has people thinking he might suddenly stop being evil, actually has a soft caring side, is genuinely a family man, etc and it really irks me. It was already bad and overexaggerated enough in fanon when it wasn't part of game canon and it's about to get worse.

In a way yeah being able to call game Eggman a dilf now too is one good thing that I could take away from it but also he's my daddy, back off Sage >:( lol

born in the charming and culturally rich city of khon kaen to a well-to-do family who had a great standing in the community, it was said that holly had stars in her eyes from the very beginning. maybe it was toddling around after her father on film studio visits and being doted on by thailand’s biggest celebrities, or perhaps it was the jam sessions she’d had with her brother in their playroom, spawned from his very early interest in music.

regardless, the small girl had big dreams, and the means with which to follow them. she was quite privileged, but she was also appreciative. she knew never to take her circumstances for granted, for it could all be gone in an instant.

holly had a fondness for dance, utilizing any free time she had in her heavily scheduled childhood to simply leap around her room rhythmically to her favorite music. she had some natural ability, but it was nothing compared to what she wanted to possess. after a bit of pleading to drop some of her less favored activities and some well-reasoned convincing from her mother to her father, she was able to start dance classes.

while training in dance, holly discovered an all encompassing love for music in general. there’d be days in her classes where some students would get to sing or play instruments while the others danced in elaborate practice performances. it was the most fun she’d had outside of the impromptu concerts put on with her brother.

she caught word that one of the girls in her dance class would soon be embarking to south korea in hopes of auditioning for an idol company, and a dream of her own began to take form. becoming a fierce, confident idol? it seemed too good to be true, but holly’s ambitions didn’t know sleep. her mother was as supportive as she always had been about it, but her father was understandably weary about his wife and daughter moving to another country. still, even he couldn’t deny holly’s dedication to the idea and his wife’s willingness to uproot her own life and business for their daughter’s dream. it didn’t help that holly’s sad eyes were a bit much to withstand, so he finally gave in to the master plan.

the transition to seoul was hectic and there was a ton of paperwork involved, especially as it pertained to transferring holly to hanlim arts high school to finish out her schooling. she and her mother moved into an apartment in songpa-gu, and for the first time, holly took the time to realize just what was happening. her family believed in her to the point that they had sacrificed so much; she couldn’t help but feel a bit guilty, but it also impassioned her to push on until she achieved what she was after.

it didn’t take long before she was signed on as a trainee for new star entertainment, given her endearing look and intense persistence. she always gave her all when completing any task they assigned her, and kept her head down for the most part; she did not want to make a fuss or catch the ire of any of her fellow exhausted and hungry trainees. she earned a reputation in the company of being quite easy to work with and open to direction and critique.

they’d begun training her in something completely different than she’d expected in the form of rapping, but she supposed it was understandable for new star to want their idols to be all-rounders. besides, it was actually quite fun learning the skill and she’d come to find her voice was well suited for the medium.

she was eventually informed that she would be among the lineup for the company’s new girl group flora, but when her position was announced, holly was slightly confused. she was chosen as the group’s main rapper, which was a bit blindsiding. the recent rapping training suddenly made a lot more sense, but holly couldn’t help but feel nerves take hold of her. what if the group flopped because of her lack of experience in rapping? what if she ruined a golden opportunity for four other hardworking women? but she couldn’t let herself lapse into that negative spiral; no, she’d push through it with poise...she had to. it wasn’t just her dream at stake, anymore.

once the group began practicing together, holly felt a bit more natural in the role of main rapper. she injected a bit of playful attitude into their rehearsals and with amazing moral support from the rest of flora, she was beginning to feel like she belonged. finally, it was time for the lineup to be announced, and new star did it with pride.

there was a bit of backlash initially, as many watchful fans of the trainee group felt that the lead rapper deserved flora’s main rapper position instead of holly. there was even some discussion that holly didn’t fit flora’s concept at all, and shouldn’t have been in the final lineup. when her dance origins were dug up by fans, some less than reputable news sources painted holly as a jealous backstabber harboring the belief that she should have gotten the main dancer spot.

it went without saying that holly didn’t really know how to handle all of this. she was genuinely excited, albeit nervous about her new path as a rapper and despised any sort of drama or confrontation, and it wasn’t as though she wouldn’t get to flex her dancing muscle in the group’s performances. she’d known how unforgiving the industry could be, but it was difficult to prepare for just how many false narratives people would create around her. the support of her mother was paramount during this time, and rather than let the gossip swallow her up, she crested the wave and soldiered on toward the shore.

once flora actually debuted, a lot of the criticisms people had about holly fell away. her determination could be felt on stage, warm comradery with the other members of the group was palpable, and people were finally seeing the reality that she herself had always envisioned. of course, there’d always be antis and outliers dredging up old fake drama, but the toxicity lessened considerably over time.

about to celebrate their 9th anniversary, flora has undergone many evolutions over the years, as have the members themselves. always the cheerful, determined one, holly now must wonder if 11 years in the industry has cracked that happy, picture perfect visage of hers. and perhaps, at age 26, she does smile a little less and sleep in a little more. maybe she doesn’t pose as long for the paparazzi when she gets off a plane. perhaps the nasty social media comments cut a little deeper now. maybe this type of career has a shelf life, and holly is nearing the end of it... but what does that mean for someone with a crushing amount of determination and an intense fear of letting down the people around her? she’s still figuring that out.

she took a hiatus in 2020 due to a tendon tear in her ankle that required surgery to repair. since then she’s been forced to take it easier on the dancing outside of practice, which is actually quite devastating to her.

the silver lining of her injury is that she’s discovered a fondness for swimming, which was suggested to her by a doctor for low impact exercise. it’s quite freeing floating atop an expanse of water, and it’s made her dead set on retiring in a place by the ocean.

she’s been burned so many times in the romance department. more than once she’s been told she’s someone’s everything when she’s really just their dirty little secret while they’re with somebody else in the public eye. it’s been rather taxing and made her quite weary in matters of the heart. she finds dashing actors to be the worst offenders.

she’s still incredibly close with her brother, who is also pursuing music professionally back in thailand. he’s the lead singer of a punk band called sanamdeklen, and recently toured australia with them.

about two years after holly debuted with flora, her mother felt comfortable enough to move back home to thailand, as she knew the group was a success & her daughter could now take care of herself.
