I have no title for this
A/N: I am continuing this, also sorry if any of the characters are ooc.
Mammon sighed, dragging his hand down his face as he replayed what happened earlier.
The faces of his so called brothers when he announced he disowned and hated was something he never imagined, then again he never imaged he would say anything like that either.
He was in the castle’s gardens, the perfect place to get away from the scene he caused. Normally, Lucifer would have threaten a punishment when they get home-
He inhaled deeply, reminding himself he doesn’t live with them anymore.
“Mammon?”
He peeked through his fingers, MC stood there sporting a worried look on their face.
“I ain’t apologizing to them, if that’s what yer thinking.” He leered, bringing his hand down to glare at the human.
“I wasn’t going to.” The demon huffed.
“So what is it?” The human sighed and sat next to him.
“I just wanted to make sure your okay."
"Well I’m okay, so go back to the party. I’m pretty sure the brothers are probably looking for you.”
MC winced at how he said brothers, especially when it didn’t include him.
“I doubt it, Solomon and Simeon are comforting Asmo and Belphie. Luke is calming down Levi and the rest of them seemed to be in a daze. Especially Lucifer.”
Huh? So Mr. stick-stuck-in-my-ass had nothing to say to him? Good.
“Mammon..”
“Hmm?”
“You…you’ll staying in Purgatory Hall permanently?” It wasn’t a question. They knew his decision they just wanted confirmation.
“Yeah. He answered. "I will.”
“I’m finally free from the bullying and feel appreciated. Plus, Simeon handles me better than Lucifer.”
MC hums at that part, it was true. Ever since Mammon stayed in Purgatory hall he’s been improving a lot, his grades were decent and he started to steal less cause Luke would tend to scold him but never like his brothers.
“I…I really don’t want to forgive them. After the fall they had so much anger within them that I was afraid they’ll kill each other, I thought being the the family punching bag was good way to release their anger and I thought it would be temporary.”
He let out a bitter laugh.
“Well that was a fucking mistake.”
MC frowned heavily and wondered if it was better for the boys to take their anger on each other.
“I finally have the guts to stand my ground after giving them eons of second chances.”
His face contorts into determination.
“I ain’t the family butt monkey anymore. If they want my forgiveness then they better forget it, I’m sick of their shit. The only good things ever since the fall was was you. If I’ve known this was how I would be treated, I would left a long time ago.”
Silenced
It took a while but the words finally sunk in Mammon’s brain and his face burned. MC smiled.
“O-Oi! What’s with that face?!”
“Oh, nothing~”
“Then stop smiling!”
MC giggled and brought him in hug, he stiffen from the contact but slowly returned it.
Yeah. being stuck listening how much his brothers thinks his worthless was horrible but it was worth it to meet his favorite human.
“You better visit me every chance you get.”
“Of course, Great Mammon.”

Solomon rubbed circles on Asmo’s back as he sobbed while Simeon patted Belphie’s head as the demon silently cried on his chest.
Lord Diavolo managed to do damage control and had Barbatos guide them to a guest room once they sorted through their emotions. But it might take a while, seeing how much emotional damage Mammon cause them.
Luke managed to get Levi to calm down and right now he’s curled into a fetal position in the corner of the room, Satan was sitting on the bed with a wistful look in his eyes, as if recalling something. Beel was next to him, he had a despondent expression on his face.
Simeon glanced to the oldest in the far side of the room, Lucifer’s back was turn from them but he can see the tension in his shoulders.
He can tell he was most affected by this.
Simeon frowned, he knew what direction the brothers' treatment of Mammon lead, if he knew that it was this bad he would have stepped in and tried to mediate it.
But the damage is done.
"I failed him."
Huh?
It was barely above a whisper, but Simeon still heard it. Lucifer’s shoulders were shaking, but his back was still facing them.
“I failed him…WE failed him.”
“You all failed him a long time ago”
The brothers flinched and Solomon and Simeon gave the little angel a pointed look, now was not the time for criticism. Luke just glared back.
“What? It’s the truth.”
“Luke.” Simeon warned. “Now is not the time for that.”
“Simeon, you heard what Mammon said. They abused enough to make him finally hate them, and honestly it’s long over due and well deserved.”
Asmo sobbed harder at that, Belphie hugged Simeon tighter.
“Can…Can we fix this?”
Out of all the brothers, Beel felt the most shame, he was the protector of the family and a family man, he loved them all so much. Now his family was crumbling before his eyes because he didn't step in more and let Mammon know he is loved.
Solomon bit his lower lip before answering.
"I'm...Not entirely sure."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
Levi finally sat up and glared at the sorcerer. Solomon sighed.
"From his choice of words and how heated they are, there is a low chance of Mammon talking to any of you, much less forgive you."
Silence engulfed the room once more, sans the fourth and seventh borns' sobs.
"Well, then we have to keep trying until he's willing to hear us." Satan finally spoke up after long period of silence. His lips were formed in a thin line but the remained steady contact with the angel and sorcerer.
"That's...That's right." Asmo sniffed, wiping his eyes.
"Asmo...." Solomon started but the demon continued.
"I love Mammon, I really do." The champagne haired male confessed. "I just get jealous of his attention, that's why I'm mean to him."
"Then tell it to his face." Luke snapped, with a heated glare.
"Should we plan first?" Belphie's voice was quiet but still audible for them.
Finally, Lucifer faced the others. His eyes were red and bit wet. This is the first time some of them saw Lucifer like this. For his brothers however it was the second time, the first was the death of Lilith.
"I refuse to lose another sibling."
__________________________
For the past two weeks, the brothers did everything they can to Mammon to talk to them. Unfortunately, Mammon avoided them even more after what transpired in the party, making them use more drastic matters for his attention.
For one, paying his debts from the witches. The witches themselves were surprised, but accepted it. Satan and Asmo thought it was the end of it until they overheard them saying they still plan to use Mammon and exploit him due to how worthless he is.
They were soon made an example to other witches if they ever want to mess with their older brother, not unless they wish to be teared from the inside too.
They asked Simeon on how Mammon reacted when he heard about his debt paid to them.
“He was surprised but suspicious.”
Okay, that was understandable.
When asked he wanted to talk to them, Simeon just gave them a sad look
Looks like they have to go to plan B.
Mammon ran his fingers through his hair. Just are those guys planning?
When he heard that not only they paid his debt but killed the witches, he was relieved but remembered it was them.
Just why would they do that? He asked for their helped before, even confiding them about the abuse. But they all brushed him aside and told him he deserved it, truthfully he did but it still hurt how callous they were.
So why now?
Gah! It’s all confusing to him.
Turning a corner, he felt hands on him and dragging him inside a room
“What the fuck!”
He turned to his kidnappers, it was his former brothers. He scowled.
“What do you want?”
They sans Lucifer flinched at his tone which internally satisfied him.
No one spoke, they just shifted around glancing at each other, Mammon scoffed and turned around to go.
“Wait!” Beel’s frantic plea made him stop, he slowly turned back to them, arms crossed.
“Make it quick.” That seemed to calm them down.
“Mammon.” Satan started.
Of course, go with the one who’s best at words.
“We…We want to apologize for our treatment towards you-“
“Way too late for that.” The second born snapped, eyes narrowing dangerously. That earned him another flinch from them.
“We know that, we just want to at least try to earn it.” Asmo confessed.
“Well, none of you deserve it.”
That shocked them all, even Lucifer.
“But me and Satan went to the witches and paid your debt and got rid of them too…”
“And that’s enough for me to forgive the centuries of abuse I went through?” He sneered.
“Well…” Asmo shrunk.
“I told ya about how they treated me, but you all brushed me off and said I deserved it. Sure it was true, but could have at least comfort me instead of making it worse.”
No said anything.
“I am tired of being the only one who has to be punished for my sins! Does Satan get punished for being angry? No! What about Beel? Does he get punished and strung up for eating almost everything? No!”
The said demons flinched at remarks, mostly because it was true.
“I’m the only one who gets punished for acting on my sin! I tried to rein it but every time I do you all just wait for me to mess up!”
Mammon panted hard, each one of their faces in varying degrees of shock. But he wasn’t done.
He turned his attention to Satan, who flinched at his gaze.
“I was the only one who took care of you while everyone else was too busy with their own problems. If it wasn’t for me, you’d be dead.”
The blonde swallowed thickly at the revelation, and judging from everyone else, it was the truth.
“Mammon, look you have every right to be pissed at is, but w-we’re really sorry.” Levi gulped when his older brother’s eyes were at him.
“This whole sorry thing is a joke, not of you are sorry. Yer all just guilty, you don’t care about my feelings, only your guilty conscience.”
“That’s not true!” Belphie denied.
“W-we do love you, y-yes I feel guilty. B-but that’s because I-I love you.” He stammered as tears began to flow in his eyes.
Mammon want to comfort him but he had to remained firm.
“Mammon.” Lucifer began. “What we have done to you terrible, but we are willing to do whatever it takes to earn your forgiveness.”
Mammon almost faltered at that.
Almost.
“I remember you used to promise me you would protect me, Lucifer.”
Confusion was apparent in their faces, he continued.
“You promised you’d protect me from any danger, but guess what? You lied.”
This stunned everyone. Mammon continued.
“All you do is bring me pain, be it physical, emotional or mental. Following was a mistake.”
That shocked them, especially Lucifer.
“Ever since the Fall, I had keep out family afloat while your too busy kissing Diavolo’s ass. I had to be the the punching bag to keep everyone happy.”
“But you didn’t need to be that!” Beel cried, now close to crying.
It was Mammon’s turn to be silent.
“Your right, I didn’t have to a punching bag.”
They glanced at each other in hope. But that was quickly dashed.
“I should have just let you guys kill each other.”
Those words made their blood froze, even more when Mammon glared at them coldly.
“I allowed myself to be the family punching bag cause you all needed let some anger out or you turn to each other. I did that cause I loved you, but I guess that the wrong choice.”
“After all, it would less of a hassle for me in the future.”
By now everyone was nearly in tears.
Turning around, Mammon opened the door.
“Wh-where are you going?”
He didn’t know whose voice is that, he didn’t care.
“To my real family.”
He slammed the door, refusing to listed to their calls to come back.
Mammon can feel the tears run down his face but he wiped them away.
Hate me, just hate me already.
A/N: here ya go. Sorry if this wasn’t what any of you wanted. If you want to do a different ending, go ahead and reblog.

Could I get the brothers reactions to if mc fought a noble, just a demon that's pretty close to their rank? How would they go about getting mc away from them and then reprimanding the demon?
Yes, of course! I wasn't sure if you wanted them as a group or to each their own, so I gave them each a spotlight. Enjoy! (Also may have gone a little overboard with Satan...oop)
Demon Brothers React to MC Fighting a Noble-Status Demon
Lucifer
Absolutely livid.
A little surprised that you had the gaul to scream at another demon of that rank.
Mc...seriously?
Why would you EVER put yourself in such a position?
Remember how he & his brothers have tried to kill you before???
Belphie SUCCEEDED
Doesn’t care what the fight is about, he holds you to much higher standards.
Will get in between you both in an instant and transform.
You are LUCKY only words had been exchanged at that point.
If you had been hurt, even he is not sure what he would have done.
Gives you a glare that shakes you to your very core, but not as bad as the demon who even DARED to lay a hand on you.
Demon receives a lecture that could probably bore him to death, but they aren’t that lucky.
Don’t get it twisted, the demon will be tortured, but it happens while Lucifer paces back and forth telling them absolutely everything they did wrong.
The eldest is too prideful to allow some demon to hurt MC, regardless of who they think they are.
Mammon
This demon surprisingly likes to avoid confrontation as much as possible.
(seriously, how often do we actually see him in demon form other than events at the Demon Lord’s Castle?)
He’s also a bit curious as to WHY you would raise your voice at a demon of that status?
Sure you yell at him and his brothers here and there, but to be fair, even Mammon knows they all mess up sometimes.
Ripped awake from his thought the literal second he sees this ‘hoity toity’ demon try and hit you.
He wants to destroy the demon, he really does, but MC is top priority.
Being the fastest of his brothers, except Lucifer, he whisks MC away before the demon can even finish blinking.
His mind is racing a mile a minute and he accidently yells “ARE YOU FUCKING DEAD?!” instead of “Are you okay?” or telling the noble demon “You’re dead!”
He doesn’t care about anything other than your safety and will fly to the House of Lamentation immediately.
Very protective over MC and refuses to let the other brothers touch them.
If anyone is mad, he will take full blame for the situation. He doesn’t care, you being safe is all that matters to him.
Levi
Is more shocked than anything that you’re standing up to a demon of equivalent reputation to him.
Becomes visibly distressed when you try and HIT that same demon.
Are you INSANE?! I mean, maybe a little since you seem to handle him and his brothers no problem, but…this was a completely different circumstance.
That demon had no obligation to protect you, let alone let you live.
The high status demon growls low and Levi knows it's only a matter of time before this demon tears you to shreds.
Levi musters up all his courage, you better appreciate this, to talk down this normie demon from hurting you.
The demon chuckles in his face. Oh…
And then the demon grabs you by your neck. You struggle, but quickly stop as something more frightening catches your attention.
Levi, standing in demon form who in the scuffle SUMMONED LOTAN.
Has Lotan deal with the disrespectful demon while he grabs you and rushes you to safety.
Could care less if he gets in trouble right now, he just saved his best friend, his Henry.
Satan
You just bitch slapped a demon with the same status as him and his brothers!
Not that he’s surprised, you’ve had to knock some sense into each of them from time to time.
IMPRESSED AS HELL though, might be slightly turned on.
Becomes immediately aggravated when he sees the demon retaliate. You fall to the floor and Satan is on the brink of losing it.
He plans to have words with the degenerate...but then you turn to him. Blood trickling down your head.
This man cannot, and WILL NOT contain his anger any longer. MC is hurt and Satan is going to make the demon wish they were dead.
MC basically has to group video call everyone for help because Satan is in a full on brawl with this demon.
You’ve never heard such demonic growls and snarls in your life, it actually scares you.
There is a circle around them chanting “fight, fight, fight!”
The brothers rush over. Belphie and Mammon are on crowd control.  Asmo and Levi are making sure you’re okay. Meanwhile Lucifer and Beel are holding back Satan from throwing another punch.
The thing is, they understand his anger. They aren’t all that upset with him. Just worried about you both.
Lucifer and Mammon will have to straighten things out. Mammon isn't the best with his words but he loves his brothers and will do what he has to in order to see that Satan receives a very mild punishment at best.
Asmo
Initially upset because he thought the high rank demon was trying to hit on you.
If anyone was going to hit on MC and succeed, surely it would be the marvelous Asmodeus.
A quick scan over of body language and he knows his initial hypothesis was dead wrong.
This demon looks aggravated and has their hands balled up into a fist.
Queue the most disgusted yelp you have ever heard leave Asmos lips.
Who in the Devildom does this demon think they are?!
Don’t you dare even look at Asmos precious MC the wrong way!
Struts his beautiful self next to you. If he can’t stop you from fighting, he will be the baddest B back up.
The only one to place an arm around your shoulder to try and bring you back to reality as he talks down to the pathetic demon who even had a thought of injuring you.
Sees you return to your senses and look grateful for him stepping in before things get worse. Living with a bunch of demons on the daily can make a human feel more powerful than they are after all.
He will use his charm on the demon to get them to forget they were even upset with you.
Makes sure to take you back home and ask if you’d like a face mask or any relaxing bath bombs.
Beel
He isn’t quite sure what happened, but Beel can clearly see you are beyond frustrated with the demon in front of you.
He knows MC can be feisty with him and his brothers, he doesn’t mind, you’re family after all.
But this was some strong demon you decided to pick a fight with.
He notices the Demon losing its patience as well. He needs to get you out and fast.
He won’t let his family get hurt ever again, he WILL NOT let what happened to Lilith happen to you.
Now, Beel is normally pretty self conscious about his size, he doesn’t like looking as intimidating as he does...but you’re in trouble, he will use everything he can to his advantage to keep you safe.
Quickly places himself in front of MC and tries to speak to the demon.
The demon was so focused on you, it wasn’t until they PUNCHED Beel that they realized what happened.
Beel doesn’t care, he barely felt it. For a high rank demon, he sure is weak by comparison.
However, Beel is VERY aware that punch was meant for you. He will not let this go unpunished.
The demon looks up at Beel who easily towers over them and begins to slowly back away, apologizing profusely.
Beel contacts his brothers in front of the now frightened Demon. He doesn’t mind them handling it, he’s focused on making sure you aren’t shaken up.
Plus that weak punch really just made him hungry.
Belphie
He fell asleep in class….again.
Which MC should be really thankful for this time.
He wakes up to the scene of you slapping away the hand of a reputable demon.
Unsure of what is going on, but already on alert Belphie watching from afar, to see how the situation plays out.
Belphie is good at reading body language, and notices MCs' small huff and how they hold themselves when the demon talks down to them.
Seeing you clearly uncomfortable, he makes his way over to you.
No one should ever make you feel anything like that, especially not some random demon.
Belphie will slouch on you and pretend the demon is of no importance. He doesn’t give a damn about status.
Interrupting the demon may have not been the best choice of action as they become agitated at the new annoyance in front of them.
Belphie turns with his signature glare and suddenly the demon recognizes the youngest of the brothers.
A demon of his status is aware of Belphie and his feelings towards any authority figure.
Any demon crazy enough to want to go toe to toe with the future demon king is too much of a hassle to deal with anyways.
Also, what kind of crazed demon would try and mess with the baby of an entire family of powerful demons?
You both end up back at the House of Lamentation and Belphie expects head pats for his rescue.

Levi to Mikasa - Rivamika though the seasons in Mikasa’s POV
This post is completely focused on Mikasa’s character. Some details will be ignored because they aren’t related to her.
When we say that Rivamika has the biggest relationship development, we’re not wrong. They both changed their opinions about each other during the story, especially Mikasa. Today, we’ll see how she went from hating Levi to asking for his help, with the all phases between.
| First stage: “I hate you” | Season 1 |
Probably you guys already know how their relationship started: exactly, not in a good way. They first meet in the trial when Eren was on trial; after our Titan Boy started to shout at everyone there, Levi beated him really well poor Eren. Obviously Mikasa wasn’t happy of her brother getting clobbered by a shorty and she was ready to intervene. Fortunately, Armin was there to stop her, so she just settled for staring him angrily.
Notice that: EMA met Levi before the trial two times: When Levi saved them from the titan who was about to eat them, and in Levi’s introducing chapter, where he did his first apparition as “Humanity’s strongest soldier”. There is a panel which shows EMA admiring Levi from afar, and their expressions are completely amazed. The man Mikasa considered an hero, beated roughly her brother. She must have felt really disappointed, and maybe also betrayed: the man who saved her friends and her from death, showed himself to be an asshole (sorry for my language ) This gave another meaning to Mikasa’s grudge against him, which is closer to her as a character than the one everybody knows (since it’s related to Eren)
This stage of hate continue until the Battle against the Female Titan (chap. 30), where Mikasa and Levi team up to rescue Eren from Annie. Mikasa loses her mind but fortunately, Levi is ready to intervene. Mikasa isn’t really friendly, instead she blames Levi for what happened to her brother. He recognizes her and address her as “Eren’s friend” lol. Now, take a look to this panel.
Tumblr media
Mikasa’s face, it seems like she felt uncomfortable after Levi’s stare, or maybe, she’s wondering what Levi’s glare means. Honestly, I’m still wondering the meaning of the zoom in Mikasa’s eyes. Personally, this is the best among their interactions; their faces, their reactions on what the other says, hits hard, really hard. It makes me sad to know that many ignored this moment. This fandom really lacks attention with details.
Anyway, Levi gives Mikasa instructions on how to proceed, and in the beginning she seems to agree, but then she decides to do things her own way so she attacks Annie. Unfortunately, her reckless move makes her risk her own life. Here Levi saves her for the first time, and he end up breaking his ankle. When they recover Eren, Levi makes her understand that her actions have consequences, and they aren’t pleasing. This is the first time Mikasa develops thanks to Levi: she understands how much selfish she was and she acknowledged her error.
| Second stage: “I respect you” | Season 2 |
Their next, and only, interaction in season 2 is when Levi tells her to protect Eren and to not be reckless. This is the first time Mikasa addresses him as “captain”, showing that she respects him as a superior.
Another thing here very important for Mikasa’s character development is when she accepted that it was her fault for Levi’s injury and she takes responsibility for her reckless actions. She understood that what she did was wrong, indipendentally from her grudge against Levi.
Plus Levi’s cute and jealous scene.
| Third stage: “We’re a team” | Season 3 |
Season 3 is Rivamika season: from the introduction of the Ackerman Clan, to their interactions, to everything. In the first part, we see them team up and fight to rescue Eren again and Historia. They work perfectly together; there’s a lot of chemistry between them and they seem to be connected with thier body and thoughts, so much that Mikasa becomes Levi’s right hand; she’s always next to him, here to help him. One of our precious interactions is when Mikasa says sorry to him in her own way, asking him “How’s your leg?”. It’s a big development in their relationship; Mikasa doesn’t feels resentment against Levi anymore, she feels guilty for his injury, and it’s the first time that she says sorry to someone ;) I think
Notice that: Mikasa changes when she’s with Levi: she’s more independent, freer than how she’s with Eren. That’s why I think that Levi is perfect for her, because with him we see the real Mikasa. What Eren tells to her in 138, to be free, is what Mikasa was in S3 with Levi.
When they talked under the moonlight my romantic heart about the Ackerman Clan, after they discovered Kenny’s surname, Mikasa shared her past with Levi, telling him how their parents felt in love and got married (WOWE PARTICULAR SHE SAID IT TO LEVI, REALLY STRANGE AND QUESTIONABLE-), but they had to hide in the mountains because of the Ackerman persecutions. In Rivamika relationship, Ackertalk is the symbol of their deep trust, Mikasa spontaneously shared her past with Levi, and similarity, when they acknowledge that they share an important moment in their life, the awakening of their Ackerpower.
I think that Levi has already understood how many things they share. Probably Mikasa not, but it’s not too late ;) I think that now that she has the possibility to spend more time with Levi, she’ll understand their similarities.
Now, the fire of their relationship: Ackerbowl. Many says that it has destroyed their relationship development, but I don’t think so. Levi had to choose between his best friend, Erwin, someone very important to him, and Armin, someone very important to Mikasa and Eren. If Levi would have won, saving Erwin, Mikasa would have lost. They both didn’t enjoy to fight against each other, but there’s a moment in your life when you have to define your priorities. Mikasa asked to Levi to give her the serum “politely”, she said “Please give it to me”, which means that hurting Levi wasn’t part of her plans. She respected and trusted that shorty, and things haven’t changed.
| Fourth stage: ??? | Season 4 |
I don’t know if it’s due the lack of interactions or everything, but I really can’t define what they are right now. They seem to have passed the 3th stage, but they haven’t reached the 4th stage yet. Hmm... what I can say about this season is that Mikasa seems to feel comfortable with Levi to start a physical contact (Never happened), and to ask for his help. There were a lot of foreshadows during the chapter 138 so let’s hope the best for the next one.
I hope you guys like this post, it took me a bit of time but I’m happy of the results. Now I’ll start to answer to all the asks I got during these few days.

"Shit!" Eren yelled, starting to chase after the police car Zeke was now in the back of. "That's my brother! Let him go!"
He shouted multiple profanities as he ran. He almost hoped they'd reach the ears of the cops.
"Eren, wait!" Armin ran forward after him. His hands latched onto Eren's shirt to stop him from running any further.
He was pulled back by Armin and he collapsed on the concrete. The yells he emitted made his voice scratchy and hoarse. He sat on his knees, breathing hard. The cars disappeared from your line of sight as Armin helped guide Eren to the group.
A deep voice made you tear your gaze away from them. "I apologize on behalf of Levi. He usually keeps a cool head." Looking up, you saw the blond man from before looking at your stumbling friends worriedly.
"Oh, yeah. I apologize on behalf of Zeke. He's always in some sort of trouble. Was that your wedding ring he pawned?" you asked.
He sighed. "Yes, it was." He paused and pressed his lips into a thin line. "Levi was really upset when he came home without it. But you don't have to apologize for what Zeke did. It's in the past and we can always just get more rings. I'm Erwin, by the way." He moved his hand forward to grasp yours.
You returned his kind smile. "I'm Y/n, nice to meet you. You should probably go before my friend gets back over here." You gestured to Eren, who was slumped against the blond beside him. "He can get pretty temperamental too."
Erwin smiled again. "I'll take your advice on that one. Take care, Y/n."
"You too."
After a few minutes, he reached his car and drove away. You couldn't help but wonder if Erwin's husband had anything to do with Zeke and Nebraska. However, you figured pawning something wouldn't get you banned from a state.
You decided not to dwell on it at that moment. So many things happened throughout the night and you didn't need another add-on.
Eren sat against the bench, sliding down the back. Armin was still by his side.
Annie and Bertholdt exited the restaurant, Bertholdt holding the door for her. Reiner trailed behind them.
They made their way over and stood by the bench. Reiner spoke up, "Everything's on the house, according to Marcel. Porco said we should probably get out of here, though."
"We didn't even get to eat!" Sasha whined. Her dress creased against the pavement as she kicked her legs.
Connie nodded and frantically looked around as if some food would magically appear from the ground. He wasn't far off.
"Holy shit is that a food truck?" He pointed across the road, and sure enough, there was one running in the parking lot of a plaza.
"I didn't even know food trucks were out this late. I'm thanking my lucky stars they are, though," Marco grinned.
Sasha's eyes lit up at the sight and she bolted across the parking lot. You were sure you had never seen anyone run that fast in your life.
"Christ, Sasha. Wait for me at least." Connie jumped off the sidewalk and charged after her.
The rest of you followed the two at a slower, more reasonable, pace. Careful to watch for cars instead of just running into traffic like your idiot friends.
The employees of the truck were pleasantly surprised when they saw the sudden line of people gathering at their window.
Eager chatter about the food you all would order quickly arose. All your stress from earlier events seemed to dissipate when Mikasa urged you into a conversation.
When the two of you reached the front of the line, the guy running the truck recognized you. He referred to you as 'the hot guitarist from that one band.'
Mikasa was visibly disgusted when she trained her cold eyes on the man. Grabbing the food, she ushered you away and glared over her shoulder as you sat on the ground in front of her.
The whole group was sitting on the pavement since there were no benches nearby in the empty parking lot.
Stores lined the end of the lot that faced your back. Dim lights emitted from inside a few of them. Other than that, there was only light coming from the food truck plus some street lamps.
The air was light and the sky was dark. Stars shone amongst the barely visible clouds. Your gaze shifted up at them just as you finished eating. They stared back down on you and a closed-eyed smile broke out on your face.
Mikasa stopped laughing with Sasha when you caught her attention. You looked so contempt and peaceful, especially after the night you had. Your foot tapped lightly against the concrete. Your face was illuminated by the moonlight.
She was entranced by you and couldn't avert her eyes. Coming back home made her fall into habits from a long time ago. Habits she used to be ashamed of.
The sound of Armin dropping their paper plate as he stood made Mikasa finally snap her eyes away from you. She blushed and Sasha side-eyed her with a teasing smile.
Eren dropped his plate next to Armin's and pushed himself up. He gestured excitedly to a liquor store behind you and proudly declared that all drinks were on him.
Ymir cheered loudly at this. She stood as well and tried to get others to join in. Historia chipped in a small yell of triumph as Eren dragged Jean into the shop to stock up.
Armin reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone. A wide smile stretched his face. "Do you guys like the idea of music right now?"
Reiner nodded enthusiastically and looked over the blond's shoulder at their playlist. He grinned and leaned over to hit shuffle.
Armin turned up the volume and set his phone down. An old song filled the atmosphere and he began to dance along.
Reiner joined in alongside Marco, Ymir, and Historia likewise. Sasha and Connie's dance moves were very uncoordinated compared to the others. Their limbs flailed in the air but at least they had the spirit.
Bertholdt was awkwardly overlooking the scene until Annie grabbed his arm and led him into the dancing circle. It was nice to see her letting loose, even if she was only making Bertholdt's obvious crush worse in the process.
Laughing to yourself, you got up to dance with your friends. You beckoned for Mikasa to come along and she didn't hesitate to follow.
After a few songs, Eren and Jean emerged from the liquor store with cases of beer. Ymir emitted another cheer and helped them unbox some of it, taking a bottle for herself and her girlfriend.
Mikasa stopped dancing to grab bottles for the both of you. After multiple attempts, you claimed to be too weak to open yours so she gladly took up the responsibility. You thanked her and drank it happily.
Eren stepped in to dance and stole Armin's attention from Reiner. A hurt look graced his features for a moment before shaking it off as quickly as it came. He opted for intruding on Bertholdt and Annie.
Jean took hold of Marco's arm and spun him around over and over while they laughed like idiots.
Ymir was loudly singing along while twirling around in various parking spots with Historia.
A few yards away from the others, you kept swaying to the music with Mikasa. Sasha and Connie were snickering to themselves and pointing but you pretended to not see them.
Mikasa snorted when she looked at your clumsy form. "You're not a very good dancer. I guess that's one thing that'll never change."
Your jaw dropped as you feigned offense. "That's rude. I happen to be a great dancer. Remember homecoming?"
She smiled and laughed. "Do I? You must've stepped on my feet at least fifty times."
"Damn, sorry about that. But if I'm so bad then you must be great. Teach me your ways, Mikasa," you jested. Even though you were joking, you still felt your face heat up at the idea of her showing you how she danced so well.
Her smile was still evident when she took hold of your hands and moved you along to the beat. "I'll take you up on that offer."
She never took her eyes off of you as her hands guided your body to move with the music. You flushed under her stare and prayed it didn't show in the moonlight.
Each time she sent you a reassuring smile you wondered if she was thinking like you. Not that it mattered much. All you knew was that when you met her eyes, there ceased to be any problems nagging your mind.
By the time Armin's songs replayed for the third time, you had your fair share of drinks. A lot of your friends had drunk a little heavier, though. The only ones who weren't extremely drunk or passed out were the designated drivers and, coincidentally, you and Mikasa.
At this point in the night, the food truck was long gone. Eren and Armin were making fools of themselves trying to dance together. Marco was doing his best dealing with Jean's clinginess but he was barely holding on by a thread. Ymir and Reiner were fast asleep on the ground on either side of Historia. Sasha was surprisingly sober, you guessed she had to drive a drunk Connie home.
A slower song started to play and Mikasa made the bold move to pull your arms around her shoulders and put her hands on your waist.
"Like them," she whispered and nodded to Bertholdt and Annie. You would've shrieked at the sight of them dancing so closely together if you weren't already so surprised by Mikasa's suddenness.
You swayed with her to the rhythm of the song as she led the dance. You hoped the clicking sound you heard behind you wasn't Sasha's camera.
Continuing the quiet dance, you knew the familiar song was coming to an end. Call it the alcohol talking, but you felt a sudden burst of confidence run through your veins.
You adjusted your arms around her neck to pull her closer and she did the same at your waist. Butterflies swarmed in your stomach as you eased into her embrace.
When you looked into her eyes you realized she was leaning closer to your face. She stopped to ask, "Is this okay?" Her voice was shaky as she whispered. Her warm breath tickled your nose from the proximity.
You nodded. Your hushed words came out even shakier than hers, "Just listen to the music."
You didn't fight the feeling when your lips collided with hers. A warmth spread throughout your chest and you felt like fireworks were exploding inside of you. Her kiss was soft and her scent was intoxicating. This is really happening.
When you finally parted to look up at her, you felt everything and then nothing at all. The world faded from your view and you were no longer staring into her eyes when it went dark.

A modern AU where levi and hanji went for a trip n hanji somehow involved in a gangster group n they kidnap her cz she got some secret info of the gangster group.. Later levi went to rescue her but they killed hanji in front of his eyes..after some mnths levi find hanji in his doorstep alive n kicking.. The gangster was Ackerman gang and levi doesn't know about this gang because her mother ran away with levi n give him better life.. Also hanji reform Ackerman gang and made them have a better life that's why they give hanji to utterly depressed levi.
(I'm shitty in writing and English is not my first language 😑)
It had been months since... the incident. Levi looked down at his phone, the red bubble over his text message notifications glared at him—hundreds of unread messages. He didn’t have the heart to open them. All of his friends asking if he was okay, but he just needed time to cope. He wasn’t sure how long that would be, but 6 months was nowhere near enough. His tea finished brewing and he stepped over to the kitchen, pouring two cups. It was routine, he didn’t care. It didn’t matter that Hange wasn’t there anymore, he still set out the cup anyway.
They had been on vacation. He had finally convinced Hange to take a break from work. Finally. And they somehow got entangled in the infamous Ackerman gang’s plans, Hange accidentally coming across sensitive information and was almost immediately taken right from him. He had called Erwin, head of the city’s police precinct and they fought to save her, but she was killed right in front of them. He shuddered, and tried to wipe the scene from his memory everyday, but the images danced in his eyes more often than not.
Six months felt like an eternity to Levi, and he continued to go through the motions, passive day after passive day, routine again and again--it felt like living hell as his heart swirled with guilt and regret. He felt like a mindless robot. Erwin would stop by often, worried about him. He would simply and nonchalantly talk to Levi about work since Levi almost refused to talk, but just sit and listen. He mentioned that the Ackerman gang activity was slowly dwindling, and nearly ceased, but Levi didn’t care. If only they just stopped activity before they came across it that day. It was too late.
“This is worthless information, Erwin,” he muttered. Erwin looked sadly at his friend. “Nanaba and Mike are hosting dinner tonight if you want to come later. Take care, Levi.” He let himself out and looked back—it was hard to see Levi like this.
The sun lowered, shining warm, orange beams of light directly through his window spilling onto the floor. The day before they left for vacation, the apartment looked just like this—the comforting glow of sunset filling every room with light, and illuminating Hange as he watched her pack her clothes into her suitcase on the floor. The light reflected off the gold frame of her glasses and her brown eyes, making them glisten like pools of honey, and he was absolutley mesmerized. She looked up to find him staring at her from the couch, and gave him a big toothy grin and laughed, her actions making him just want to hug the hell out of her.
He stared at the floor, now empty, the apartment painstakingly silent without her laughter. He looked at the clock, and thought he might just go over to Nanaba and Mike’s. He didn’t want to, but it was probably good for him. As he stood up to go get changed, he heard a soft knocking at the door. He debated ignoring it, but something compelled him to go answer. He opened the door.
“What do you wan—”
An almost blinding ray of sunlight spilled into the room through the open door and he stared directly in front of him with wide-eyes.
“H-Hange?” he said, voice shaking so much, he almost couldn’t speak. It felt so good to say her name again.
“Hi, Levi,” she whispered, loving the feeling of his name roll off her tongue out loud for the first time in months, soft at the sound of his voice. She was standing on his doorstep, messy hair, oversized sweatshirt, glasses, her annoyingly bright lipstick and all.
“A dream, yes this was a dream. Or some kind of joke,” he thought to himself. He just wanted to sit and stare at her for hours, scared that if he took his eyes off her, she would simply disappear into thin air, and he couldn’t bare to lose her a second time. She handed him a small hand written note.
“They told me to give this to you first,” she said with the dumb, toothy smile that made him weak at the knees.
He snatched the piece of paper out from her with shaking hands, and opened it.
“Hange was more helpful than we could have imagined. But please, take her back. She never shuts up and we know more useless scientific facts and knowledge than we ever wanted to know. And do us a favor--Don’t run into us again. Signed, Kenny Ackerman”
A black van sped off from behind them, and Levi was simply dumbstruck— but Hange was standing right in front of him. It was too real to be a dream, despite how absolutely ridiculous and confusing the note was. They weren’t wrong about the “never shutting up” part, though.
But it didn’t matter. She was alive and standing on his doorstep. Their doorstep.
He struggled to form words. “How? We saw you—”
“You didn’t think I was dead, did you? There’s no way that would have happened without me at least getting to say goodbye to you first or something, Shorty. Plus I wouldn’t go down without a fight, you know me--right Levi?”
He stood, silent. She cocked her head to the side, a caring expression across her face, and took a step forward and to wipe the tears from his cheeks with her thumbs. He didn’t even realize he was crying. She cupped her hands around his face and pulled it close to hers, their foreheads and noses touching, feeling each other’s puffs of warm breath on their skin. Tears fell down her face too, and Levi pulled her into his embrace, desperate to feel her heart beat close to his.
Honestly, he didn’t care for hearing her explanation, so that could wait til later. But he suspected her crazy mind did something to the Ackerman gang, and Erwin’s earlier comment was starting to make sense.
He left a small kiss on her lips, his body overcome with gratitude and relief as she kissed him back.
(thanks for the ask, anon! idk what this is lol but i don’t think it did justice to your awesome au idea! if you want something much much better, check out this by @smallblip and this by @fanmoose12! Based on the nature of your ask, you’ll absolutely love their fics!)

Can I please request the brothers with s /o who is a scaredy cat Btw love your writing style boo ♥️
Scaredy Cat!
In Which . . . You’re just a little scared. Of most things.
A/N: ily anon, you’re too nice 🤧🤧
Lucifer
Honestly, Lucifer expected nothing less when he first met you
It’s the Devildom and you’re surrounded by demons, you’re allowed to be scared
But wow,,,you seem to be scared of quite a lot
The sheer SCREAM you let out when you saw a spider??? Lucifer nearly had a heart attack
He thought you were in DANGER, and it was a mere ARACHNID?? PLEASE—
He is absolutely gonna protect you with everything he’s got, okay? And if ANY of his brothers try to scare you? Mammon. It will not be pretty—
Rarely ever uses his demon form around you just because he doesn’t want to frighten you
Just acts so soft around you because he knows he can seem very threatening and the last thing he wants is for to be scared
Mammon
Was totally fine with you being a total scaredy cat at first, I mean, come on? It’s Mammon we’re talking about
As you two grow closer though??
“What do ya mean you’re SCARED? Ya got the GREAT Mammon right here!”
Says he’ll protect you during a horror movie marathon but do not fall for it. This man is just as scared as you, don’t do it.
Acts a lot like your great protector but you’re lucky if you can get rid of the bug in your room okay—
It’s not his FAULT! The spider disappeared! He did NOT scream like a girl!
Fortunately, he’s always ready to cuddle you when you’re scared.
Acts like he’s doing it as a favor but he really just loves knowing that you feel safe in his arms...
Leviathan
WHAT DO YOU MEAN SOME OF THE SCENES IN TSL SCARE YOU???
WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU CANT PLAY HORROR GAMES WITH HIM???
Honestly, he’s mortally wounded just because you screamed when you saw Henry 1.0 (yes he’s a big giant snake but that snake is babie)
When he does get used to your scared nature, he’s more than willing to protect you, don’t worry!
During binge watch sessions, he’s secretly skimmed ahead of everything so he can distract you when something scary happens
Unless he’s seen whatever you’re watching of course. Then he just knows whenever something’s coming up and he’s gonna cover your eyes for you!
Get you a Levi
This man owned a snake and posted to his social media when being chased by said giant snake, so it’s safe to assume nothing quite scares him
You’ll be safe with him, trust me! He won’t even get any scary animals when if Henry 2.0’s time ever comes! He did kind of want a piranha?? But he likes you more so!
Is a shark off the table too?
Satan
Didn’t really notice your fear right away, just assumed it was normal human fear, ya know?
But he’s quick to notice you’re generally terrified at a lot of things!
He once brushed by you in the dark, and your shriek nearly took him out.
He’s got the spider— It’s okay—
He becomes increasingly protective of you, I’ve got to be honest.
Like, I’m talking, standing in front of you to protect you. Or always has a hand on you just to make sure you’re okay, protective.
Probably makes a list of everything that scares you just so he can try and make life easier for you.
Boutta throttle his brothers though the second they even THINK of a way to scare you, not on his wATCH
Asmodeus
Okay so, Asmo thought you were absolutely ADORABLE before he found out you were a scaredy cat
That increases TEN FOLD when he finds out the truth
Likes teasing you a little about it, but never goes too far
“If you’re scared, my arms are always open!!! 🥰🥰🥰”
Oh, it’s horror movie night?? Then come sit next to him!! Get cozy!!
He’s really just using your whole scared thing as an excuse to get close to you, I have to be honest—
Not very protective,,,upfront that is
If a demon so much as causes you to shiver?? Asmo’s gonna laugh it off and say you look so cute
And then death-glare that demon into oblivion, okay, back OFF—
Beelzebub
Kinda just assumed all humans were scared
But notices you’re really scared?? Like of the dark?? Of heights?? Of BUGS??
Fortunately, Beel is easily the greatest protector ever. I mean, stronk
No but really, you’re scared of being alone in your room? You can always come to his room! It’s not even dark in his room because of the glowing wall art—
Spiders?? No problem, he can just scoop up the little guy and get him out of there, no problem!
All of the others are watching a horror movie? Alright, he’ll go to your room and you two can watch watchever you want (he’ll bring snacks!)
Plus, comfort cuddles?? From BEEL?? The absolute best, you’ll feel safe and okay in no time!
Belphegor
He’s going to act like he doesn’t care in the slightest
Probably gonna tease you about it too, he’s just Like That
But at the same time? You scream and ran out of your room because of a bug?
Bug’s gone and Belphie definitely just came out of your room
Room too dark? You have a night light now??
Demons staring at you a little too hard during school?
Belphie walks behind you now and suddenly none of the demons look your way
You had a nightmare?? He’s gonna call you a nerd and show up in your room a minute later because “Beel’s stomach was too loud for him”
Honestly? All things considered?
He just hopes you aren’t scared of him

Red flag pt.3
>>>Read on AO3<<<
Soon brothers.
Just not yet.  :D
In the following week, Mikasa learned more about sex than she ever did before. While the internet itself was a fickle teacher, giving facts and hundred and more opinions from anonymous users, Eren was an endless well of knowledge. It was her who asked first too, he didn’t even try to talk about it before Mikasa brought it up. And how could she help herself, with such an insane bomb being dropped on her!
First things first – she googled the name of the agency he worked at, just to be sure that he was not bulshitting her, but everything he said seemed to be true. The website was there, displaying the “ wide variety of services done by long-term professionals”. Although Eren’s name was not there, he told her that he is listed as Master E, a thing she immediately questioned. Over messenger, of course.
Master E? Damn that’s lame.
You wound me :(
I mean seriously, couldn’t you be something cooler?
Such as?
I don’t know! Master Evil. Dungeon Master. Lord of the Night?
Yea, I’m sure that dungeon master would be turning heads
….. Orgasminator?
Mikasa pls
Lord horsecock
Stoooooop I beg you!
Fine fine, you’re just jealous I’m that much better at naming than you
Sure am.
When he didn’t continue, Mikasa took the initiative.
Sooooooooooo, gonna tell me where the Master E came from?
Simple. Annie wanted to be Mistress A so I just latched onto her vibe
Uh-hu. So you are just that much unoriginal
:( sadly
Just imagining Eren pouting at his phone made Mikasa’s evening that much brighter. She wanted to see more of it.
Latching on Annie, you do that a lot don’t you?
Why is that?
Well, she’s the one who introduced you to this whole thing and even today she is the best at your agency, most advertised one too. Playing catch up your whole life? Maaaaaaster E? :P
Hey, it’s not my fault that men are bigger pervs than women.
Excuses
To be honest, I don’t mind being behind Annie, she’s good at this. Also, don’t tell her this, but she scares me sometimes
Scares you how :O
Annie can be really brutal when she gets into it. Nothing the clients don’t ask for, mind you, but still. If you’d see her victims….. the wounds……
Mikasa’s breath caught in her throat.
Are you serious?
I don’t know…. Am I?
Dork.
She frowned at her phone, but still looked when the answer pinged in.
I am partly serious though. She can be a nightmare, sometimes I feel like she’s on a one-woman crusade against the male population. And she’s getting paid for it too!
She sounds like a hell of a woman.
You bet :)
Master E also had several scenes online, to be bought and watched, and a few times Mikasa almost clicked the button and spent her hard-earned cash on kinky porn. It was the promise of a live show that stopped her from doing so. She didn’t know if she’s going to go yet but buying a video of something she could watch happening in real time was a waste of money. No, she wouldn’t spoil that surprise.
She learned much anyway, way too much even, things that made her blush and hide her face, things that made her quickly hide her phone. In moments like these, she was grateful that the communication was being done over the internet, as Eren was way too intense of a person to be talked about this face to face. Here, hidden behind her screen, she could pester him for ages, joking and making fun of whatever he gave her. And, during these conversations, she learned another important thing.
For a guy who was more or less a professional perv, Eren used a lot of emojis in his messages.
It caught her off guard, how normal and easy to talk to he was. She didn’t think that he was a monster or something, but Eren was right when he said that her opinion of him changed fundamentally once she found out about his job. Mikasa found herself texting to him, a lot, and he texted back, snapped photos until she started doing it too, and overall just had a great time. Levi was giving her sidelong glares when he kept catching her while she stared at her phone, grinning like a maniac, but she simply ignored him. How was she supposed to not laugh when Eren just sent her a photo of his cup from a coffee shop with a crying emoji. Apparently, they spelled his name wrong again and kept calling him Aaron.
What’s the most common thing they ask you to do?
She half hid her face in the pillow, already dreading the answer. The three dots that appeared in the corner indicated that he was typing an answer, and soon enough there was a ping.
I feel like I’ll disappoint you here.
Most of my clients are easily satisfied  - basic bondage/dominance stuff works wonders
They could do that with literally anyone else
Like their boyfriends and stuff
Mikasa frowned, typing an answer.
Why don’t they then?
Ping
Sometimes it’s the professionalism I bring to the table, and then I understand them.
But often it's just a lack of communication
You’d be surprised how many things can be solved if two parties talk to each other.
I usually advise it too, tell them that they could be doing this with someone they love and not me
You undermine your own clientele like this? Mikasa wrote Why would you do that?
A few dollars ain't worth if they could be happier. Then again, not every one of them takes my advice, it's difficult to open up about things like these.
That gave Mikasa a perfect chance to poke at him.
Not for you, apparently :p
Ping
:D true, but I work in the business
The range of things they discussed was wide. Save for her past, which she did not want to talk about, and made it crystal clear too, Mikasa shared a lot. She told him all about her brother and the gym, sent him snaps from her workouts and then typed back angry emojis when he called her sweaty tryhard. His overall ignorance towards something that was a big part of her life did raise a question. Grabbing her phone more firmly, she quickly typed it out.
Haven’t you thought about doing any martial art yourself?
You deff got the figure for it.
A ping later there was an answer.
Bold of you to say that when you never saw me shirtless :P
But nah
I’m a lover, not a fighter
Plus, you’re just trying to recruit me to your gym, aren’t you?
Levi promised you a bonus?
Spill your beans, Ackerman
Damn spammer. Yet Mikasa was smiling again, which made Levi, who just happened to be passing by, groan.
“Don’t you have a client coming?”, he asked.
She shook her head.
“In an hour, I’ve got plenty of time to get cleaned up.”, she made a gesture with her hand, “Now shoo, I’m having a conversation.”
“With Sasha?”
“Huh?”, she looked up, puzzled, “Why would it be Sasha?”
“Cause I never saw you smiling this much before.”
One week turned to two, and suddenly the day of Eren’s show was here. He remained true to his word, never bringing that event up, keeping it completely in her hands, if she wanted to show up or not. Mikasa was uncertain. The mystery pulled her in, she wanted to see these things for herself. Watching it on the internet is one thing, but live show….
All the stories Eren told her only fueled such a flame. He always omitted names and such, for the discretion of his clients, but he didn’t hold back on the details. To be fair, Mikasa did ask for those.
Sasha wasn’t much help in her decision process either, because Mikasa didn’t want to share all the details about Eren yet. She told her friend that the guy from the bar invited her to a strange-looking place, and wanted to know if she should go.
“Did you two fuck?”
Mikasa frowned, realizing that Sasha can’t see her over the phone.
“No Sash, we didn’t. He’s a friend.”
“Oh, okay.”, there was a crack on the other side as she probably munched on another potato chip, “And is he a friend-friend, or friend-you-would-like-to-fuck?”
“Why is that the question?”
Sasha giggled.
“Dunno just wanted to ask.”
“You’re not helping at all….”
“Because it's easy! You either trust that guy and go or don’t trust him, block his number and never see him again. Boom, solved!”
If only it was so simple.
Yet when the day rolled around, Mikasa woke up with a decision in her mind. She’s going to go there. Eren was a great friend, and she was curious about this whole thing. She will be masked, anonymous, and if there is something she won’t like, the door will be there. This raised another question, however, of what does one wear to a BDSM club.
Mikasa, in her vanilla life, did not feel the need to buy anything made of leather or latex and wasn’t about to start now. There was one pair of leather paints she used to own until one day a completely random guy on the street told her that her ass looks really good in them. Mikasa threw those pants right out that evening. Public exposure was something she was NOT looking for. So, she had a small variety to choose from anyway. Mostly jeans, one or two skirts and a single dress that she wore to prom and that probably wouldn’t fit her anymore. Standing in front of the wardrobe, she contemplated calling Sasha again but ultimately decided against it. Mikasa Ackerman is a grown woman. She can choose her own clothes, damn it.
In the end, it was just a simple shirt and jeans combo. She reasoned that it added to her secretiveness, as anyone could wear what she was wearing. Satisfied with her completely basic appearance, she headed for the door, grabbing the keys and popping her head into the kitchen.
“I’m heading out.”, she announced, “Borrowing the car too.”
“Oh? And you tell me now?”, Levi tsked, shaking his head, “Damn brat, you really have no manners. When will you be back?”
“Later, maybe tomorrow. Don’t wait up.”
The words were already forming in Levi’s mouth, but Mikasa spoke faster.
“I’m an adult, so please. Just don’t.”
And, to her surprise, he didn’t.
“Fine. But if there is even a single scratch on the car, I’m taking it out of your paycheck.”
“That’s fair. I’ll see you later then.”
“Later.”, he was already half-turned back towards the Tv, before he added, “Drive safely.”
And that’s how, an hour and a half later, she was standing in front of a completely unassuming building. The door was just like any other, with a small sign and everything, not strange in the slightest. The security guard might have been a bit of a giveaway. He was tall, wide and dressed in a tailored suit that fit him perfectly. When Mikasa approached, he sized her up and down.
“I’m afraid that this is a members only club.”, he spoke in low barytone, “Do you have a card?”
“I uhh... I was told that I can come in. I’m a friend of Eren, my name is Mi-…”
The guard raised a hand before she could finish.
“No names, please. We pride ourselves on anonymity.”
Seeing Mikasa nod, he continued.
“Mr. Yeager did tell me that someone might be coming and that I should let them straight in. So I will do just that.”, he stepped aside, “Once you enter, the masks will be to your right, and after choosing one please don’t forget to return it. Enjoy your stay.”
Mumbling her thanks, Mikasa dipped inside, finding herself in a small room. There were the masks, just as the guard said, and another door that led to the club itself. She could hear muted music coming through. First things first, she stepped closer to the selection, casting an inspecting eye over it. There were several types, all possible shapes and sizes form full hoods to tiny eye-masks. After a bit of healthy consideration, she grabbed a black one that covered the upper half of her face, more than enough to remain anonymous. It was not likely that she would meet anyone that knew her anyway, let’s be honest. Masked, ready as ever, curious and wanting to see more, Mikasa took a deep breath and entered the door, stepping right into Eren’s world.

Note
I have more protective vore ideas, more along the lines of just the MC being stubborn and the others have to do a homf to get them to listen. maybe they are sick or were stupid and forgot a jacket when going on a walk and got cold, or maybe they were already hurt from something or someone and need to rest but they refuse to. sorry this got so long I feel most comfortable rambling here.
Yes, I love this
Sorry this took me a bit to get to, but I wanted to think of something good for each of the brothers because this inspired me!
I used Darling as the the prey, and each of these contains safe, soft, g/t vore with an unwilling prey
Also, no need to ever apologize for rambling! I am the queen of rambling and I love it when other people ramble to me!
Lucifer
“Ow! Stop that!”
Lucifer withdrew his hands from Darling’s ankle, who hissed in pain.
“It looks as though it’s not broken, good. Honestly, I had no idea a human could be this clumsy.”
“I am not clumsy! That rock sprang up out of nowhere!” Darling put a hand against her ankle, immediately wincing and drawing it back at the stab of pain that caused.
She started to pick herself up off the ground, but Lucifer placed a hand on her shoulder to push her back down.
“What do you think you’re doing? Your ankle may not be broken, but I still wouldn’t suggest putting any weight on it.”
“It’s fine, it’s fine, the House of Lamentation isn’t far away, I can make it back.” She tried to shake his hand off her shoulder, but his grip was too solid for her to budge. “Lucifer, come on, I said I’m fine.”
The demon raised an eyebrow in a questioning look, but he withdrew his hand after a brief staring contest. “Fine, prove it.”
He watched with admittedly a little amusement as Darling got to her feet, being careful of her ankle. She gave him a smug look that he probably would have hit any one else for, and turned around to take a step. He saw her tense up and heard the winced curse she bit back on with each limping step. He sighed, sometimes that girl had pride to rival even his.
He followed a step behind her for a minute, watching to see if she’d throw in the towel and admit she needs help.
She kept walking, if anything his presence behind her fueling her pettiness and making her continue to move despite each stab of pain a step caused.
Lucifer shook his head, understanding this.
From behind, he placed his hands on her shoulders, stopping her in her tracks.
“Are all humans as stubborn as you are? No matter, if you won’t admit you need help on your own, then I will simply take matters into my own hands.”
He brought up one hand to tilt Darling’s head back a bit, pressing his lips to her forehead and whispering a spell.
“Wait, what are you- ah, damn it, Lucifer!”
Darling found herself sitting atop Lucifer’s palm, arm crossed and glaring up at the now giant demon, who only found the expression cute.
“Ugh, fine, whatever, you’re going to carry me back to the house like this then, huh? Stupid demon magic.” She huffed.
Lucifer tilted his head, smirking. “Mmm, not quite like this. Someone stubborn as you are would probably try and wriggle out of my grasp, and it wouldn’t be very good if you fell from so high up, now would it? I think it’d be best to put you somewhere safer.”
All of Darling’s protests were muffled as soon as her body was placed in Lucifer’s mouth. Normally he’d take the opportunity to play around a bit, but that would risk aggravating her ankle even further, which she’d already done plenty of. So, he swallowed, and as soon as Darling landed in his stomach, the walls pressed in around her, keeping her in place.
“There, that should stop you from harming yourself any further.”
Mammon
It’s not like Darling had meant to fall in the river.
In fact, it really wasn’t her fault at all, Mammon was the one who’d gotten carried away while they were joking around and pushed her a little too hard.
Luckily the water wasn’t very deep or fast, but it certainly was cold.
So now she was sitting on the river side, dripping and looking like a wet cat.
Mammon hovered at her side, hands up but unsure what to do to help. He cringed when she sneezed.
The fuck up brother strikes again, it seems.
Darling wrung water out of her hair while Mammon sheepishly rubbed that back of his neck.
“You- You can’t go blamin’ me for this! You pushed me first, anyway!” Mammon insisted, fighting the embarrassed flush trying to creep up to his cheeks.
Darling pushed herself up, shaking out her sleeves. She was annoyed, sure, but she bit down on it. She couldn’t bring herself to get mad at him, especially not when she knew his brothers would give him enough shit for this when they found out. “I know it was an accident; come on, we should head back to the house so I can get a change of clothes.” She started walking back the way they’d come.
Mammon hurried after her. “Hold up! You’re going to walk all the way back like that?”
“What other choice do I have? Strip?” Darling shivered as the water on her skin started to dry in the chill air. “Pretty sure that’d only make it colder. It’s fine, really.”
Mammon bit his lip, trailing by her side and watching her suppress shivers with her arms crossed. He wracked his brain, trying to think of something he could do, and an idea came to him.
He quickly jumped ahead a step, placing himself squarely in her path.
Darling only looked up at him questioningly, the cold making her temper grow shorter, she wasn’t really in the mood for whatever was giving his eye that particular spark that let her know he had a Mammon idea. “What are you doing? Can we please get back to the house already.” Another shiver moved through her.
Mammon shook his head. “Not with you soaked like that! If you get sick, then I’m going to be the blamed, you know.”
“Then do you have any other suggestions?”
“Yup! The great Mammon is gracious enough to give you a ride back home!”
“A ride? What-”
The familiar spell was whispered into her, and Darling was shrunken and missing the brief wave of warmth the protection spell brought.
“Mammon.” She groaned, smacking at the hand that tried to pick her up. “Are you serious right now?”
“It’s the perfect way to warm you up! Now quite your, ugh, quite your whining.” He sat back with a huff the more she pushed his hands away. “What’s your problem? I thought you liked getting eaten?”
“It’s embarrassing like this though!”
“Embarrassing? Heh, you know you shouldn’t have any shame when it comes to your first guy. Now, get in already.” Faster than Darling’s human reflexes could counter, he snatched her up into his grasp, bringing her to his mouth before she could fight him anymore.
She wanted to protest more, but the words fizzled out into a sigh the moment she felt Mammon’s warmth wrap around her. She settled for blushing and grumbling indignantly as he took her into his stomach.
“There, that should warm you up quick, human.”
Leviathan
(I’m actually not sure if it rains in the Devildom, but for the sake of this one lets say that it does at least every once in a while)
Levi almost walked right by her, as engrossed in the music playing through his headphones as he walked out of the school building.
He’d been forced to stay late today and all he wanted right then was to get home to the sanctuary of his room. Almost every other student had left the building already, and good for them because the Devildom sky had chosen now to bring rain to them. At least it so happened that Levi had a spare umbrella shoved into his locker. The last time it’d rained, he’d been out of the house after picking up a limited edition manga and the water had almost ruined it! He shuddered at the memory, he’d wanted to be prepared for something like that ever since.
He popped open the umbrella, and that’s when he saw Darling out of the corner of his eye.
She stood at the edge of the dry shield the school building provided, starring up into the rain with an annoyed expression on her face.
“What are you still doing here?” Levi asked.
Her head snapped over to look at him, equally surprised. “Oh, Levi! Ah, I’d wanted to get some more studying in at the library. Mammon was complaining about being bored, so I told him he could go home before me. Kind of regretting that now, though.” She frowned out at the storm again.
Levi’s imagination was suddenly overcome with scenes from anime and manga of two characters sharing and umbrella, and blushed. This was perfect! Ah, but wait, he also started thinking about all the ways sharing an umbrella could backfire, like all the scenarios from another anime he’d seen. Plus, would she really want to share an umbrella with a yucky otaku like him?
“Welp,” Darling spoke, shaking him from his thoughts. “no telling when this rain is going to stop, so better get started on the way back.” She stretched, and Levi only watched as she waved to him. “See you back at the house!” And then she took off running.
Levi blinked, and blinked, and only realized what she was doing as her form got harder to see through the rain. Was she seriously running through a storm?!”
“H-Hey!” He started after her at a slower pace. “Idiot! What do you think you’re doing?!”
“It’s fine! It’s only a little rain!” She looked back over her shoulder to shout to him. Maybe that statement would have been true, if she’d kept looking where she was going. Her foot landed in a particularly slippery puddle and skidded out from under her. She fell to the ground with a yelp, landing hard on her knee.
“Shit.” Levi muttered, jogging over to her. It was harder to pick up in the rain, but he could smell a faint bit of blood coming from her knee. Ah, this was his fault.
He crouched next to her, using his umbrella to keep the rain off while he glanced at her knee. Her pants weren’t ripped and looked like they protected her somewhat, but not enough to keep her totally unharmed. “Idiot, that’s what you get for running in the rain like that.”
Darling waved her hand to brush off his concern. “It’s only a scrape.” She pushed herself up and brushed of her pants. “I can disinfect it later, for now let’s keep going.”
Levi grabbed her arm to stop her from moving.
“Levi, your umbrella can’t cover both of us, and I’m not going to ask you to give it to me.” he probably wouldn’t unless commanded to, anyway.
He scowled at the ground; the lord of Shadow and Henry wouldn’t let something like a too small umbrella get in the way of helping each other, so why couldn’t he come up with something when it was his Henry in question.
But then he realized, he did have an idea.
He recited the spells quickly, smiling when Darling became small enough to fit in his hand.
“Huh, Levi, put me down. I told you, I’m fine-”
He stuffed her into his mouth, delighting in the feeling of her slipping into his throat.
“Heh, how’s that for sharing an umbrella, normie?”
Satan
He came across her in the school’s library.
Darling sat slumped in her chair, seeming to only be propped up by the hand her face leaned against.
Spread out in front of her were a number of books, all opened to varying pages. Her eyes were half lidded, clearly struggling to stay awake.
“Darling?” He approached her, watching her startle at his voice.
“Satan? Hey, how’s it going?” She put her hand in front of her mouth to stifle a yawn.
He glanced at the open pages, all on the same subject. “I’m fine, you however, and forgive me if this sounds rude, are looking a bit rough.”
She chuckled dryly, running a hand through her hair. “Awe, what a charmer~ Have you been taking lessons from Asmo?”
“When was the last time you slept?”
She thought for a moment. “Um, I took a nap yester- no, wait, I think that was the day before yesterday.”
“No wonder.” He leaned down to get a better look into her tired eyes, at the dark smudges sitting under them. “I admire your dedication to getting a good grade on this test, but it’s important for you to rest as well. No amount of studying will get you a good grade if you fall asleep on top of it.”
“I know that, it’s fine, I can sleep later.” She pulled one of the books closer to her, squinting her eyes at the words as if that would make them easier to understand. “I need to learn this material, for some reason I haven’t been able to wrap my head around it.”
Satan sighed, already seeing that no amount of talk would convince the stubborn Darling to see reason on this. Might as well skip over that and get right to the only way he knew of to make her rest.
He placed a hand on Darling’s cheek to turn her head towards him, softly speaking the necessary spells against her forehead. “Hey, what are you doing? I told you I need to stu- Oh don’t you dare!”
But she was already sitting on a chair suddenly much larger than she was, with Satan’s hand closing around her to pick her up.
“Satan, cut it out, I need-”
“To sleep.” He finished for her. “You’re going to run yourself ragged at this rate.”
He ignored her complaints and squirming, placing her feet first into his mouth. He still allowed himself to savor her flavor for a moment, but was gentle. His tongue curling around her like he was already trying to soothe her to sleep. He swallowed her, feeling her slump into his stomach, too tired to fight against it’s warm embrace.
“If you’re so worried about your grade, then shall I read some of the material to you as you fall asleep like a bedtime story?”
Asmodeus
Darling hated alcohol.
She’d hardly ever touched the stuff before, and the little she’d tried had burned her tongue and tasted awful.
So why oh why had she agreed to go to a bar with Asmo?
He’d insisted they’s have sooo much fun together, that he’d even take her to a smaller, less known place so he wouldn’t be completely swamped with his admirers, and that they had all kinds of different alcohols only available in the Devildom that she’d like the taste of.
So, he’d gotten her something sweet, and she had to admit the taste wasn’t bad.
But both of them had underestimated how easily demonic booze would effect a human, especially one who already had such a low tolerance.
Asmo supposed this one was probably mostly on him, but in his defense he’d never gone drinking with a human before in the Devildom.
Darling still had over half her drink in the cup, but already she was swaying side to side in her seat, a happy smile on her flushed face and drunkenly moving to the music playing loudly all around them. She was rather cute like this~
But, Asmo’s sharp eyes flitted across the room, he wasn’t the only demon to take notice of her current state. Several demons all through out the bar were eyeing her hungrily. Humans make for easy targets normally, but an intoxicated would be simple child’s play.
“Oh, darling Darling~ I’m getting tired of this boring little place, how about we head back home and have some fun there?”
Darling giggled, she turned her head to look at him but her eyes were unfocused. He wouldn’t be surprised if she were seeing three of him right then, lucky her. “Why would we go now? We only got here a” she hiccuped “a little bit ago~” She lost her balance, tipping forward and leaning against Asmo for support. Ah, how nice this would be if she weren’t drunk~
“I know, dear, but I promise we’ll have so much more fun later, at home and away from here.” He looked around the room again, even more demons cast glances from the corners of their eyes, some bolder ones not even bothering to hide their stares, the only thing keeping them at bay was the knowledge of his power. His grip on Darling’s arm tightened ever so slightly, but the normally so perceptive girl was too drunk to notice any of this.
“Well you can head out and I can join you later!” She pried herself off of him, staggering on her feet. “I’m going to go dance!”
Asmo’s eyes widened, grabbing her wrist lightning fast and pulling her towards him again as she tried to stumble away. The crowd was relatively small, but if he lost sight of her then anyone could grab her and run off.
“Asmooo!” She whined, trying to wiggle out of his grasp. This was turning out to be more troublesome than he’d expected; he knew he had to get her out of there as soon as possible before someone put their liquid courage to work. He could simply carry her out, he was certainly strong enough, but that would no doubt cause more of a scene, and for once Asmo wasn’t looking more attention.
But, there was a way to be more discrete with her and send a message to the demons already watching them.
He lifted her face in his hands and recited the spells.
The now tiny Darling blinked at her giant surroundings from the palm of his hand. He wanted to coo at how adorable she looked, but that’d have to wait.
He quickly but gently placed her on his tongue, though it took a minute with her squirming around so cutely, and tilted his head back with his eyes closed and swallowed.
When he opened his eyes again, he looked each hungry demon in the eye with a smile of hidden venom, his elbows resting on the counter behind him, challenging. They all shriveled under his stare.
He rested a hand on his stomach and stood.
“Come now, Darling, let’s go home and make sure you drink some water~ Though, I hope Lucifer has already gone to bed, I doubt it’d go over well if he found out I brought you here.”
Beelzebub
He’d been hesitant to leave her by herself, even for a minute, but she’d insisted that she’d be fine and had convinced him with the promise that she wouldn’t leave her spot until he got back.
He felt her fear through their pack and rushed back, but she wasn’t standing where she’d promised to, and Darling wouldn’t break a promise without good reason.
He searched the area frantically, but it was the smell of blood that led him to her.
She was bent over in an alley way, hands on her knees, trying to catch her breath from running. Her head snapped up when she heard someone approached, but she relaxed when she saw it was him.
“Beel, sorry about breaking my promise. A couple of demons walked up to me, I tried to get them to leave me alone, but one of them grabbed my arm and his nails dug into me when I ripped it off. I called for you with the pact, but they were still being aggressive and I had no choice but to try and loose them. Took a minute, but I managed it.”
Beel was only half listening to her, his eyes had traveled to her arm and his focus remained on the claw marks he saw there, the trail of red dripping along her skin.
He closed the distance between them easily, picking up her arm as gingerly as he could, but she still hissed in pain.
She paused at the deeply sad look in his eyes. “Hey, big guy, it’s okay. It’s not your fault, okay?”
He wasn’t convinced, still examining the wound. Slowly, he bent down to press a kiss to it, his tongue flicking out to lick up some of the blood.
“Beel?”
“Let’s get you back home so we can patch this up.” He says.
“Yeah, okay.” She tries to straighten up and take a step, but she she stumbles forward, Beel’s hands keeping her from falling.
“Phew, guess that run really took it out of me, and oh yeah the blood loss too.”
“Here, let me carry-”
Darling put a hand to Beel’s chest. “No no no, I’m fine, I can manage.”
He reluctantly let her push herself out of his grasp, watching as she swayed lightly in place, her breaths slightly heavy too.
“I think you should let me help you back.” He said.
“It’s fine, it’s fine, really.” She stood up as tall as she could, shoulders squared, she looked into his eyes carefully masking any and all pain in her own.
“Even if you say you can walk, what about the blood? It’s part of what helped me find you, so there’s no doubt other demons will be attracted to it too.” He pointed out.
“Well, they wouldn’t try anything with you right by me, right?”
Beel wasn’t looking to take any chances. A weakened, bloody human would make any demon’s mouth water. Plus, what if she wore herself out trying to walk back and passed out? She was too stubborn and easily embarrassed to let him carry her in his arms all the way to the house, and he already wanted to growl thinking about all the looks she’d get if he did that anyway. There was only one option he saw as the best, and he only hoped she’d accept his apology later.
He held her in place with a hand on either arm and bent down low enough to press his lips to her forehead. She knew right away what he was planning and tried to twist away, but the spell already took effect.
Beel held the tiny Darling in one palm. “Sorry about this.” Without fuss, e placed her in his mouth and swallowed; she landed in his stomach a mere second later.
Normally he much preferred swallowing her at full height, but he was worried about hurting her arm like that, plus a large stomach wasn’t exactly very discrete. He pressed his hand up against the spot her could feel her moving about, annoyed that he would swallow her without permission.
“I really am sorry, but I need to make sure you’re safe. Please, sit still so you won’t hurt your arm anymore, I will let you out as soon as we get home.”
Belphegor
Belphie yawned, pressing the heel of his palm to his eye to rub at the sleepiness. Ah, he’d fallen asleep at the school.
Darling had to stay a small while extra that day, and he’d been the only one of the brothers available to watch over her while she did. Looking around, though, he saw no sign of her. Great, where could she have wandered off to?
Sluggishly, he got to his feet and started to look around the building. A minute later, he heard it: the distinct sound of Darling telling someone to piss off.
He looked around the corner into a hallway and saw Darling backed up to the wall by two low level demons. Even though they both towered over her with fanged grins, she still scowled and glared right back at them, her stance poised like she’d actually try and fight them.
At first, Belphie only blinked at this, processing the sight, and then anger sparked in him.
“Hey!” He barked, advancing on the trio. “What do you think you’re doing?”
The lower demons paled as he drew near, running before he could get too close, and he almost followed after them, but instead turned his attention to Darling. “And what did you think you were doing, huh?”
“Excuse me?” Darling asked in surprise. Why was he upset with her now? She wasn’t the one doing anything wrong!
He poked a finger at her “Do you really think you can take on two demons? You can’t even fight off one. You should have used our pact as soon as they started giving you trouble.”
Darling only folded her arms with an angry frown. “I had it under control.”
He scoffed “Sure, so it was your plan to become some demon’s after school snack?”
“I did a perfectly fine job of protecting myself before I came her, I will have you know.”
“That was before you were surrounded by demons everyday, Darling. You’re feisty, and I know you can pack a punch, but that’s not enough against someone who’s supernaturally stronger than you.” He ran a hand through his hair in frustration. He’s grown to like Darling, sure, but humans could still be so troublesome. “You need to call one of us if someone’s bothering you and we’re not already there.”
“If I call one of you to my defense every time I’m in trouble, then what will they think of me? I’d look like simply another weak human in their eyes waiting to be left unattended so they can pounce. I may not be able to earn much respect around here as a human, but I can still try my damnedest to keep them from thinking they can walk all over me.”
The two held each other’s gazes for a minute in a silent battle. Secretly, Belpie wouldn’t admit that he respected her desire to stand up fro herself, but that clashed with his knowledge that that could very easily get her seriously hurt around here. He closed his eyes with a sigh. “What a pain.”
Darling made a “Hmph” in the back of her throat, spinning on her heel to march up the hallway. “Whatever, I finished what I needed to today, so i’m going back home.”
“By yourself?”
“Yup.” She popped the p at the end of the word.
Belphie watched her walk, his mind racing. He thought of those two demons, and of all the other demons she’d pass by that would look at her the same way they did, and something roiled in his chest.
His steps were much longer than Darlings, and he caught up to her quickly, putting a hand on her shoulder to catch her attention. As soon as she spun around to ask what he was doing, he leaned forward and recited the spell.
He picked her up by the back of her shirt, saying nothing in response to her kicking and cursing, and stuffed her into his mouth, swallowing a second later. She continued to scream at him from inside his stomach.
“I’m glad you’re so keen to bare your fangs, and I hope you never loose that, but you should learn to rely on us a little more. Here, you are a human in a demons world, remember.”

Attack on Titan Chapter 108 Review
youtube
Survey Corps may have their own problems at Paradis Island, but that won’t stop a war coming for them. Ever since they returned home, nothing has been sunshine and rainbow. Only depression and misery. Eren appeared to no longer care about his friends. Historia is pregnant for reason unknown. Everyone else is falling apart. Is there a solution to this mess? This chapter presented answers to many questions with a couple of interesting setup for certain characters, and a sign of a next grand chaotic battle.
There’s nothing more disgusting than a dinner with nothing but disgusting people. The only exception is Nile, Erwin’s old friend. He’s practically the only sane and good person in that table as the rest are celebrating for their accomplishment for apprehending Yelena and others. For the record, I still like Commander Pixis despite his action. It’s only because politics forced him to do the dirty work. Despite them enjoying Marley branded drinks, they don’t take people as friendly. That’s racist.
Their reason to backstab Zeke and others is because they don’t trust the fact he can use mind control or alter their memories. On one hand, it would have been seen reasonable, knowing Zeke still has a bad reputation with Paradis Island. On the other hand, Zeke’s group and Survey Corps built a trust for a while, so why start now. Even Nile doesn’t think like them, showing how selfless he is in compare. In short, the politic is still crappy as ever.
The revelation of Historia’s status begins to surface when Roeg spouts out their true plan. They intended to have Zeke makes his return and by surprise, a titan that would have been Historia comes in to eat him, so she can inherit the Beast Titan. They don’t plan to wait until Zeke is ready to pass down; bunch of assholes. It turns out her pregnancy isn’t part of their plan, rather a move to prevent them to use that plan. Kind of sad if the case is forced pregnancy. If being racist isn’t bad enough, the douchebag only saw her as a low-life girl with a name Queen attached. That’s sexist.
For pairing fans or fans in general who desperately wants to know the father, the answer is here. It’s some guy from the past who bullied Historia by throwing rock at her; maybe asking for attention. Around the present time, he worked at her orphanage to redeem himself. From there on, they got together. Unless you’re like my friend, that’s how the story was told; you might as well move on. Unless NTR is really poisonous to you.
The real problem for the douchebags isn’t the love story, but the timing of her pregnancy. She cannot be turn into a titan without any damage effect while carrying a child. To them, it’s fine for her to carry one, but the timing is too coincidence. Basically, they have an idea that someone hidden told Historia that she’s about to be used for their plan, so to prevent that, she and the guy did their thing. Now, she is pregnant. Perhaps that’s why she doesn’t look so happy for she is treated like a tool; leaving her no room to make her own decision. It also explains why the guy doesn’t sound cruel or anything. He cares about her.
The hidden person is said to be Yelena because according to their logic, Marleyan plus Zeke’s right hand person equal the mastermind. They have no proof, but they believe so since it stopped Zeke’s demise. It’s not confirmed who the culprit is, so we got something to think over. Although Historia is pregnant, Roeg is like, “The hell with it! Let’s make her into a titan.” Nile, the reasonable man, warns him that the side effect can be dire to the child or her. Good to see him again. Roeg practically ends the argument by stating nation over people. Why I am not surprised?
Basically, Historia’s pregnancy is planned to prevent the backstab plan, not that the politic forced her to do so. Even so, she’s still forced to be pregnant under different circumstance. That’s just sad. The dinner table scene pretty much clarified that those guys are still bunch of craps. They have the courtesy to obtain some Marleyans to be their butler; more like slaves than anything. Even poor Nicolo is dragged into this mess; still broken over Sasha. It would be fantastic if the drink is poisoned, though that would mean Zeke did hide something. I don’t mind though…
The scene with the Survey Corps in the room is discomforting and concerning. The first page set the tone of unsettling feeling about the whole fiasco. It’s clear the effect of Sasha’s death is still looming around them. Now that they know what happened to Yelena and others, it’s like everything keeps falling apart for them. The first flashback was a sign of hope and carefree; now, it’s just growing dreary.
It gets worse when Jean raise a concern with Eren and his possible backstabbing plan. He starts to question if Eren is working with Zeke behind their back, especially since Zeke did say his plan at Marley provided great results. Supposedly, they did talk before, yet no one knows the content. After the last chapter, it’s hard to understand Eren’s intention or attitude.
What’s startling is Connie. It’s clear that Sasha’s death affected him greatly. His glare to the window is telling how much he can’t take this anymore. It got to the point that he will show no remorse if Eren is a traitor. Even with Mikasa trying to stop him, he doesn’t hold back his anger; unusually shows dominance in his stand. Mikasa is trying to keep hopeful about Eren, but she is struggling to keep it up. This whole corps is slowly falling apart.
There’s another flashback scene; this time is them working together on building a railroad track as they’re waiting for the response. Isayama really like pulling this stunt with Sasha still around; almost feel like he regretted killing her off. Seriously, it’s a nice scene with them working together like a family. It’s amusing to see how everyone acted their ways, including Sasha hogging all the water and Mikasa carrying woods with ease.
They waited to see if Hiruzu can start an international relation with the rest of the world using the connection to Paradis Island as well as the human rights. Hange and Levi returned to deliver the news; it’s no good. It’s because Hiruzu is a greedy nation that refused to share the resources of Paradis Island with others. I knew that drool scene was a terrible sign. Greedy bi---. Excuse me. The human rights failed as well since nations only saw the group as eccentrics with no one willing to support the cause. Lastly, they saw Paradis Island as a convenient source of trouble, so to keep them united and stable, they will leave it as it is. What a crappy world.
I felt bad for them since they did hope, even if it’s little, that they can start a peace rally and not resort to the flattening the world plan. It sucks for Armin since he would have love everyone to stop fighting and not resort to become the world’s enemy. I got to credit Hange for trying to uplift the corps’ spirit. She nailed it on what made them special in the first place; investigate the unknown. I don’t know if there will be a flashback with them confronting the political world, but it could be the turning point for Eren’s transformation.
Probably my favorite scene of the chapter is the train ride. It’s not plot heavy, but it’s filled with charming and lighthearted moments from the characters. It’s amusing that while heading towards to their mission, they speak about what they should try and take from outside the walls’ resources. They’re hanging out like the good old times. It’s a shame that Zeke’s time is basically their time limit since he’s the source of the plan. They’re pressured to take it or doomed themselves. It comes down to the next question: who will inherit the titan after Eren?
This is the best part in my opinion. Mikasa wanted to take it, but Jean told her many drawbacks that prevent her to become it, including being an Ackerman. Imagine her as a titan though. She will be godly. Jean insisted for he felt that he will handle it with care; obviously taking a shot at Eren’s reckless behavior. Connie disagreed for they don’t want an “awesome” commander to be on a death clock. How nice. He insisted to take it, but Sasha disagreed because he is stupid. Why she had to die again? She wanted to, but Connie snapped back by calling her out on her contradiction. Nice comeback.
This got me laughing, but more importantly, awed by their friendships. What sealed it surprisingly is Eren’s thoughts. He doesn’t want anyone to inherit it, rather prefer for them to live long. It somewhat suggested that he will die and probably end the cycle. I don’t know if it works that way. The point is he cherished his friends. It’s funny how Eren actually blushed, which made the moment more awkward than it already is. Armin said it’s because of the color from the setting sun that made everyone seems blushing, which it did. I believe Eren did genuinely blush, but if not, his words still hold great value. It begs the question: why is he acting so different now.
Mikasa is standing by Eren’s side and claims that he’s still with them and have no intention to discard his friends like fodders. Jean, on the other hand, press on the doubtfulness on Eren’s trust and the disaster could have been avoided, let alone Sasha’s death. It’s a bit of a stretch to say Eren believed in everyone to fulfill the mission. That’s such a reckless and risky move altogether. That said I can oddly believe in Mikasa’s words, because Eren has shown great concerns of his friends. Then the bomb is dropped by none other than Connie.
Mikasa and Armin didn’t see Eren’s reaction to Sasha’s death, but we the fans did. Last time we saw him, he looked guilty and upset. However, Connie said he laughed, and Jean backs this up. I don’t know if the panel shot of Eren’s reaction is considered laughing, but if it’s true, I don’t know what to say. It must have happened after that said panel. That said it’s strange, considering we just saw him reacting like a caring man losing a friend. What is going on here?
Armin, the peacemaker of the group, calms the atmosphere and reassure everyone that Eren can negate Zeke’s ability. If that wasn’t the case, this series would end dark. However, if Zeke roams around with army of titans attacking everyone, then Eren isn’t negating the effect; thus, he’s with him. That is a logical explanation; always count on Armin to bring balance. What I didn’t expect is his solution to the problem.
Armin usually handle the problem in the most peaceful manner possible, especially with Eren involved. After that trip, he won’t hold back. It is fine to go and ask Eren about his agenda, and that would be the end of it. But Armin takes one step further. If he’s with Zeke, Armin suggests one to take the Titanization formula and eat Eren. Wow. What the hell?
I get that it’s a logical approach for safety measure, but this is his best friend we’re talking about. Even Mikasa is caught by surprise that he would suggest something like that. After going through the flashback, the irony couldn’t be any crazier. I don’t think it will come down to it, but I am seriously curious on Eren’s positon. This can be the final nail to the coffin (no pun intended?), the point of no return. Hopefully, the issue will be solved in the next chapter.
This chapter shifts the scene to where Falco and Gabi are located at; taking a small break. I know the fans despise Gabi tremendously, but I do like how Isayama is handling the case of a lost brainwashed child with a small sign of intellect. She is similar to Eren from the first chapter, but instead of striving to survive to kill all enemies, she is a lost cause. Falco, on the other hand, is more “free” to make choices of his own. When Gabi tells him to do whatever he pleases, he takes out her armband of Marley. It come across like a smartass remark, but he is trying to help her.
She reacts badly, like an obsessed person who don’t want the collection to be touched. I can’t fault her so much because it’s pretty abundant that she is like Reiner back in the day. The words she spouting is what a trained brainwashed warrior would say; willing to die by the name of the country. It's a bit sad to be honest. I also can’t fault her since she does prefer Falco to live and not go in her way to death. You got to respect her to be thoughtful at least, rather than “I hate everybody! Die!”
A girl appears in the forest, asking them what they’re up to. I heard the girl is the same one that Sasha rescued a long time ago. I don’t know if it is her, but if so, well, the detail is nice yet eerie. Another example of brainwashed Gabi is when she was preparing to kill her with a rock. It’s only a harmless girl, yet she’s willing to kill her. Thankfully, the suspense ends with no one getting hurt; only now Gabi and Falco are invited to her place. I wonder if it’s where Historia is at. This should be interesting.
The chapter closes with the aftermath of Marley; reminding how bad the damage was. Pretty grim to see a child with missing limbs. Surprisingly, Magath found out that Zeke has faked his death and allied with their enemy. He should have died first to avoid this smart observation. Actually, the credit can go to Pieck as well. She theorized that Zeke has planned this for four years, which is true, and used collaborators from inside the Marleyan Army, which is also true. Damn, she’s good. It also helps that the 3D Manoeuver Gear was upgraded with their own technology. So much for dumb villains’ syndrome.
Just before the hype to strike back was about to begin, Magath orders everyone that they will take the war back at Paradis Island in about half a year. Thank God for the power of time-skip. That said although bringing all countries’ army together sound pretty intimidating, that would leave Falco and Gabi alone. God speed is what I would say. Thankfully, I think, Reiner objects this plan, because he wants the hype rolling.
Seriously, either he’s smart or suicidal, he wants to attack them now. He believes Zeke is expecting them to attack later on, not immediately. If they do the opposite, it may corrupt his plan altogether. Reiner doesn’t want to wait; he wants to surprise attack. This is an interesting endpoint. Reiner seems to have reignited his spirit; probably because of Falco and Gabi, since he did call them his reason to live. He probably wants to attack now to save them and maybe along the way, take everyone down. I would joke and think he wants to die quicker this way, but really, I am glad to see him in firing spirit.
This was a pretty interesting setup chapter. There was a good amount of new answers and questions (of course), with plenty of moments to look forward to, including Eren’s agenda. If anything, this chapter set up plenty of point of no return. The series is good at changing your view with each chapter. I don’t know what to make of Eren but hopefully, it’s a misunderstanding. I don’t think the heated action will ensue next, but it has planted that seed. When the time comes, hell will break loose. It’s this series’ nature.

Magnolia Seven-Seven
Chapter Two: The Secret Tuesday Society
Summary: Magnolia is like every other city, full of traffic jams and hoards of people. When Captain Gajeel and Detectives Gray and Natsu get involved with a shady crime boss that seems to have the whole crime ring in his back pocket, they need a little more backup to bring him down: i.e ADA Lucy Heartfilia, Evidence Technician Levy McGarden, and Caffeinator Juvia Lockster.
Rating: M for adult situations and language
A/N: I finally did it. I wrote a thing. 15 pages. It took forever and I’m tired of looking at it. I also figured out why I hated it for the longest time: I accidentally wrote most of it in present tense!
Previous Chapters: One
“At it still?”
Lucy jerked, nearly knocking over her mug of gel pens with her wayward elbow. An unladylike snort escaped her, her hand still hovering over the stack of papers as she blinked to remove the tunnel vision.
From the doorway, she watched Levy grin with something akin to jest in her face. As if that would make her regret squinting at the fine print of every document and looking like her face was to meld with the paper.
“Justice never sleeps.” Lucy replied easily, glancing at her watch and grimacing. She missed her projected bed time...again. So long, eight hours of restful sleep. At least she planned on taking care of herself, even if she never really got around to it. The thought always counts.
Her friend huffed a dry laugh. “Okay, Batgirl. Justice sleeps, but you don’t.” She stepped into the office, leaving the door open and wordlessly reminding Lucy of how late the hour was with the empty cubicles out in plain sight. Or, since Levy looked fresh and ready for a day of work, maybe the hour was early.
“Lu, don’t tell me you pulled an all-nighter. The law offices downstairs have not even opened for the day. It’s just you and the custodial staff now.” Levy informed breezily, walking forward and snagging a handful of Skittles from the glass candy dish on the desk. Taking her spoils, she then plopped into the chair on the opposite side of the desk, taking her time selecting the first to eat.
“Did I even invite you in?” Lucy mused, taking on a teasing tone as she too helped herself to candy. Sometimes, she even forgot they were there until someone just helped themselves. Her desk, while roomy and having plenty of filing space, was cluttered with folders and framed pictures of her life. It was an old piece of furniture, so heavy that nobody bothered to move it out once the building remodeled into a county office. Lucy loved it, all the way down to the mothball smell in the drawers.
Levy grinned cheekily. “Lu, we were roommates in college. You should know by now that I do as I please.”
Lucy sighed. Well, she had a point.
“So, you didn’t have a date last night since you are here, but told me you did.” Levy cast a look to the garbage can beside the desk, taking in the folded takeout boxes. “Thai again?”
Lucy, having turned back to her paperwork, shrugged. “The guy text me asking for a sample of what he was going to get after the date.”
Levy rose a brow, chewing slowly. “Ah, flirting. And? What’d you say?”
Lucy shrugged again, setting down her pen and plucking a pink highlighter from the utensil mug and carefully outlined a sentence. “Well, I would have probably flirted back...but he sent me a picture along with the text.”
“A picture? What- oh. Oh. Was it-?”
Lucy hummed, sliding a sheet of paper from one stack to another. “The whole thing with a winking emoji filter. So I replied with, ‘She gave you the wrong number, bro’. Haven’t got a text back since.”
Levy tutted, reaching for another handful of treats. “Sorry Lucy. Maybe you should try dating within our social circle?”
“Maybe I should stop trying to date at all. I’m just too busy.”
Levy pursed her lips at that answer, but let it drop when Lucy huffed and shoved a stack of papers across the desk.
“None of this is adding up! The evidence keeps cutting off just at the point where this person can be convicted!” She dragged fingers through her blonde hair, resting her elbows on the wood. “It’s like the puzzle is missing all the pieces!”
It was at that moment that Levy got a good look at Lucy’s face, her skin pale next to the dew covered window behind her. It was the same in college. Lucy put her whole being into things, never halfway. It kinda reminded her of someone else they both knew.
He was also looking beat down as of late.
“You need sleep.” Levy said softly, pointedly looking the ADA in the eyes. “You look like shit, and I say that lovingly.”
That earned her a playful glare and pursed lips.
“You can’t get them all.”
That earned her a full fledged scowl. Well, far be it from Levy to feel guilt about the truth. She ignored the look in favor of taking in the many shelves of law textbooks that Lucy obviously saved from school.
Lucy didn’t break the silent stalemate either. She never had to.
It took weeks for them to meet on common ground when they met in undergrad study. They had the same clubs, the same honors classes, the same morning routines. They bickered mostly, Levy’s idea of clean a far fetch from Lucy’s and Lucy’s love of body mists drove Levy mad. Still, they worked it out, and the silences were always comfortable, even after an argument.
Plus, Lucy knew if Levy ever found out where she got this evidence, there would be hell to pay.
ADA’s were not permitted in the evidence lockers without supervision. That was a rule. Well...she had friends in high places, so she had her own key made: without anyone knowing. ADA’s were also not permitted to do detective work. That was also a rule. Well, she had to have all the puzzle pieces to fully close a case, or her mind would not let her rest.
So, thus began her double life of snooping around crime scenes and gathering her own evidence. Levy, as well as every one of her other friends would absolutely maim her if they knew.
There was a reason she was the best. Nobody questioned it. That was how she wanted it to stay: a smoke and veil.
Her thoughts, wayward in nature, stuttered to a stop when Levy sighed and stood, bobbing on her feet. “Come to the apartment this afternoon! I have a surprise that may just brighten your mood!”
Now that got Lucy recoiling. “Last time you ‘had a surprise’ it ended up being a double blind date where I got the creepy one.” Her stomach gave a revolted clench. That was the night she made sure to have plenty of garlic and payed for it days later.
Wrinkling her nose and brushing a hand past her face, Levy laughed rather awkwardly. “I said I was sorry, anyway it’ll be a sweet surprise. You’ll love it!” She sounded even less convincing than before with her forced, light laughing.
“I feel even less enthused for this ‘surprise’” Lucy deadpanned,  dragging yet another stack towards her with a hook of her wrist.
“Be there or I’ll get Erza involved.”
The threat was unmistakable, even for Levy’s cheery peep.
Erza was by far the one person Lucy never wanted to cross, lest it be her deathbed. Not that her friend would hurt her, but Erza could be very forcefully convincing if need be. Lucy could recall the time that Gray and Natsu nearly fainted in the courts when Erza had to manhandle a suspect into submission after a conviction riot. That man would never again be able to turn his neck like he used to.
“Why pull out your highest trump card to play?” She asked absently, looking to her desk again and refusing to admit that Levy had beaten her this argument.
Her friend beamed, not quite gloating but Lucy still felt it all the same. “Because I’m your friend.”
‘Because I’m your friend’. Lucy smiled slightly, making sure the burn in her eyes didn’t turn into tears. There were few things that they said to each other during college that would really mean as much as those words.
When Levy had a final in Italian III, Lucy stayed up all night helping quiz her. When Levy asked why, Lucy answered, ‘because I’m your friend. French is similar to Italian anyway’.
When Lucy got lost after an interview in the next town over, Levy came to get her and take her to a restaurant to celebrate. When thanked, Levy just shrugged and said, ‘I will always come to get you, because I’m your friend.’
The silence stretched on in which Lucy hovered her pen over printed words and Levy picked at her cuticles. Lucy read over once sentence, then the next, forgot the last sentence so she went back to read it again. The process repeated over when she didn’t gather anything from the re-read sentence.
“Well-” Levy groaned suddenly, standing and wincing at the creak of her knees, “-I best be going. Sensei Gildarts hates it when his students are late.”
Lucy managed to glance up and smile. “Well, don’t be late then!”
That earned her a playful scowl as Levy shouldered her purse and stepped to the door. “Who are you to talk about not being late? I know about your theatrical late entrances at the courts.”
“I stopped doing that...mostly-”
“Uh huh, just don’t be late coming over tonight. I won’t forgive you.” Levy said, giving the ‘I got my eyes on you’ gesture before she slipped away. Lucy listened as her footsteps faded down the hall before releasing a sigh. Well that was something that wouldn’t go away if she ignored it.
That was exactly why Levy dropped by the office. Lucy was sure of it now. It wasn’t a text, so Lucy couldn’t pretend she didn’t get it or forgot to open it.
They had their trials and tribulations in college and now they knew each other like open books.
It wasn’t like Lucy actively avoided hanging out with her friends. It was just work demanded her full attention, and with her extra curricular evidence gathering the hours of the day dwindled to the minutes.
It took a lot of effort to not get caught at crime scenes, or while she raided the evidence lockers of the precincts. It also helped that she was friends with almost all the chiefs...or was a fierce fight for the rest.
Lucy Heartfilia always got her case and Lucy Heartfilia always got her desired ruling.
Someone opened the door to the law office, the creaking of the aged brass a sign that the work day had begun for a few. Chatter echoed through the once silent rooms and Lucy found that her peace and quiet was now over.
With a sigh, she deposited the pen back into the cup, gathering her papers like so many times before and shoving them into her briefcase. How could she get any work done when there was gossiping going around and her body feeling like it was going to drop like a fly?
.
.
.
Magnolia had some nice buildings and Magnolia had some pretty decrepit ones. The latter was becoming few and far between since the recently elected mayor decided that historic didn’t mean the old stays old. Renovations were going on all over town, construction companies never having so many jobs like they did now.
Her dojo, however, was one of the least important renovations, being in an older, less populated part of Magnolia. No tourists dared come this way unless they were lost, so this wasn’t of importance.
But, to Levy, it was one of the most important.
The windows were cracked or poorly patched, the wood holding them in rotting away with years of water damage. Concrete stairs were stained and chipped, a rusted handrail on its last legs alongside it. What really stood out to Levy though was the ancient sign board hovering over the entrance, discolored but still proudly displaying the black letters spelling ‘Clive Doj0’.
Honestly, it would cost him .69 jewel, a screwdriver, and a quick trip on a ladder to fix that last letter. Yet, he always bragged that it added character.
As if setting up a dojo in an abandoned ballet school didn’t add enough character.
As her fingers trailed up the railing, not close enough to scrape her palms along it but close to feel the iron chill, Levy recalled climbing the stairs when she was twelve, her legs barely long enough to stretch over the stairs. This was back when her parents mistook this for a real ballet school and had dropped her off with a check to cover a few lessons.
Lost in her memories with a wistful smile, Levy shouldered the door open, wrinkling her nose at the stench of must that greeted her. The first floor was boarded up, a pitiful wall of flimsy lumber haphazardly nailed up to form a wall over the hallway that was once dressing rooms. Before it rested a battered table, a tacky water fountain bubbling away atop it with vases of lucky bamboo.
Nailed to the wall were picture frames, so many memories of Sensei Clive and his pilgrimage across the world on display. That man had to have seen everything the world offered, yet he stayed in Magnolia now. She hadn’t a clue why.
Levy took the wooden stairs two at a time, regulating her breathing as she reached the second floor and turned to the first door on her right. Through the frosted glass, she saw figures moving beyond.
Ah, so she was just in time.
Careful not to make a disturbance, she wiggled the door open, peeking in on the early morning lesson Sensei Clive liked to host before kids went off to school. Backpacks littered the walls, new and old articles of clothing abandoned temporarily as a mass of kids in gi worked through their exercises.
Before them, garbed in a white gi, stood Sensei Clive, walking them through every step of the way with a beam on his face. That man seriously loved to teach, no matter the hour of the day. It was astonishing.
Smiling to herself, Levy walked all the way to the windows looking out on the street below. In the corner, a little nook rested. Once an old janitor’s closet before the door was removed and the walls replaced, now six tan and rusted lockers resided. Levy used to count the dents and chips in the metal, back when she was younger and watching older students train felt awkward to her. 5 dents the size of fists, 21 the size of coins, and so many scratches that she never had a hope to calculate.
Gildarts had to have gotten them from a school, for there were signs of abuse and graffiti etched in...some from students of the dojo. The words ‘Gajeel sux’ were carved into the farthest locker. Below it, a dragon magnet. Below that, ‘Gray sux even more’.
Oh, that Natsu.
Her fingers reached for her locker, the third, with a little purple combination lock. It was the same lock she used from high school, the combination as familiar to her as her own birthday. With three twists, she had it unlocked, the locker open to reveal her gray gi and sash.
By the time she slid into it, she heard Gildart’s dismissal, the shuffling of feet as the class moved to gather their things and move to the bathrooms to change. In about five minutes, her lesson would begin.
She stepped out of the cove, bare feet chilled on the mats after she took her socks off. Seeing some stragglers talking with Sensei, Levy rolled her shoulders and selected a corner to start stretching, keeping an eye on the clock in the front of the room. Her lessons varied in times but today she could only stay for 45 minutes before heading out to work.
As if she projected her thoughts, Gildarts glanced her way, flashed a smile, and started ushering the last of the class out before shutting the door. Then he turned to her, hands on his hips.
“Well then. You ready to show me how much you’ve been practicing?” He laughed as he said it, excited as ever to share his knowledge with others. He shifted into a sparring pose, hands up and eyes bright.
Levy smiled, shaking her arms before stepping up onto the mats and mirroring his pose. “I’ll show you, Sensei. I’ll throttle you.”
He blinked. Then he threw his head back and laughed. It was a full belly laugh, one of pure amusement. He followed it with a shake of his head. “You are 30 years too young to be smack talking, missy.” He shifted his knees apart, an attack position. Levy only had a few seconds before he advanced, eyeing her for an opening.
The lesson lasted 40 minutes. Levy made sure to thank her sensei before rushing out and taking the stairs two at a time despite her burning muscles. He had thoroughly kicked her ass, making her meet the mats face first or on her back. She still had a lot to learn.
But her right hook has improved. He gave her that.
.
.
.
Lucy didn’t get past the main hall of her building before her phone buzzed and chimed. With a sigh of Levy’s name, she paused and dug into her purse for the device, pulling it out. To her surprise, it was Natsu, not Levy, that had text her so early in the morning. Didn’t he know it was rude to text before 8am?
“Hey lucy, gray was supposed to get coffee today but he’s being an ass and not    answering. Since I knoow you pulled an allnighter at your office (btw you shouldn’t do that) can you go by d&d and get coffee for dajeel, erza, and most importantly me? I’ll owe you big time. Plzzzzzzzzz?”
Well...shit. Lucy sighed, feeling fatigued already now that she was out of the office. But, her friends needed caffeine for whatever can of whoop-ass they were opening today. She knew for a fact that Erza was twice as prickly before her first cup. Gajeel and Natsu were going to end up dead if she didn’t get any. Gray, unfortunately for him if she found out he ditched, would be dead soon.
Lucy knew what to do. Besides criticize her friend’s awful texting.
“K. What do ya’ll want...besides a dictionary?”
She secured her purse strap, keeping the phone in her free hand and her briefcase in the other. Her morning just got a heck of a lot  longer, as well as her daily commute. Taking her time down the stone stairs that lead to the sidewalk, Lucy rubbed her eyes with the back of her hand, careful of her makeup.
Time to start walking.
“Awww don’t be liek that. Expressino for gajeel and caramel macchiato for erza. For me, coffee as black as my soul and made of nightmares.”
Her left eye twitched. Her lips pursed. That idiot. She sighed and her fingers automatically moved before she thought.
“So a coconut latte with extra cream and half shot of espresso. Got it.”
It took a second for him to reply.
“ :D <3 “
Idiot. He was never able to stomach black coffee ever since he drank that day old pot of coffee at the precinct. Nobody was sure if he was going to die from it or die because of it. He was excitable one moment and vomiting all over himself the next. Erza nearly committed murder that day. Lucy had to let him curl up in her office, moaning and whining that Erza was going to find him and gut him like a fish. Not too far off from the truth since the redhead was texting her asking if she had seen him that day.
“I guess I’m getting coffee too.” Lucy said to herself, turning and walking down the street away from her direction of home. She had a few blocks to walk to the shop, and then more to the east for the precinct.
As she walked, she watched the shops slowly start to open. The smell of doughnuts and exhaust filled the air.
Speaking of, she had some leftover doughnuts waiting for her at home. She wondered if they were still good and if she would feel like eating them once she made it home. They were glazed so she had to warm them up first. Ohhh, hot, melty, doughnuts.
She loved hot doughnuts. It was something she got from her mother. On Saturdays, they both got up early and pretended to be ninjas and sneak out as to not wake up her father. As a child, it was thrilling secrecy. Something to share with her mother and her alone. They would take the car, trying to contain giggles as they escaped. Then, they went to the local doughnut shop right as it opened and buy the freshest doughnuts. Sometimes they got a dozen and others just three or four. If it was the latter, they always ate the evidence before getting home. A little secret covered in gooey glaze.
Of course her father always knew, but pretended to be in the dark about it.
The tradition died with her mother as did her father’s sense of indulgence in childish dreams. A lot of traditions died that day.
Sewing on rainy Sundays stopped, all of her Mama’s supplies put away. The tea set that was a wedding present from her late grandparents that was the pinnacle of their tea parties was something she saved and had in storage. Her Papa tried to shatter them. He got one of the saucers, so now she had a tea cup on her desk that had long lost its companion.
She missed a lot of things of the past. But, she thought as she smiled at the flower shop owner that was setting out peonies, she was happy with the life she has now. She had many friends, an exciting career, a roof over her head too.
If only her Papa could find what she had.
Happiness? Content? He sorely needed humility.
Lucy paused at the final crosswalk, the only one that always seemed to be red for pedestrians. Across the street, she could see the coffee shop nestled between a laundromat and a thai restaurant.
Drip Drop Cafe and Bakery, or D&D for short.
Small. Quaint. Cheap rent.  Lucy could relate.
Once the light turned red and her walk signal illuminated, Lucy quickly made her way across the street, casting one passing glance into the corner laundromat and spying one little old lady folding her sheets.
D&D was identifiable by the tiny hanging sign with blue painted words, the glass tinted so one could not really see in the shop until the door opened. Lucy recalled when it first opened and the rising sun blinded everyone in the early morning hours. She had to remember to pack her sunglasses just to stop by for a coffee and a doughnut until Laki donated some tint for the windows. Having the owner of a contracting company as a customer had its perks for D&D.
As she placed her hand on the door, fixing her wayward hair as the wind picked up, Lucy figured she would go for a cinnamon bun frap.
She pushed open the door, listening to the bell chime with a smile and a greeting on the tip of her tongue. Then she paused, witnessing Juvia, the owner, flush vibrant red as she slapped her hands over her mouth. Leaning across the counter and nearly nose-to-nose with her, was Gray Fullbuster. His hand was frozen in the action of pushing hair behind Juvia’s ear, looking much like a deer caught in the leadlights.
It was hard to miss exactly what she walked into on this fine Tuesday morning, with the precinct ordering coffee through her because Gray ‘disappeared’. Plus, wooing from Gray involved secrecy from his housemates and awkward proximity. He was so putting on the moves...and Lucy had the pure, intoxicating power of submerging him in shit creek for it.
However, she was a lady and ladies took the high road to any blackmail opportunity. Just this once. So, with all the strength and dignity she could muster, she slowly starts to back out of the door. “Uh, I’m just gonna-”
“Wait! Don’t go Lucy!” Juvia called, reaching out as if she could hold her arm and stop her. “Juvia needs your money!”
As soon as the words left her mouth, horror struck her paling face as she clasped her hands over her mouth a second time. “That sounded bad! Please buy some coffee and fund Juvia’s business!”
At that, Gray clenched his eyes closed as a look of pain came over him. Ah, looks like ol’ Romeo remembered why he was supposed to be here in the first place, not necking the barista. Necking the barista that was Gajeel’s cousin. Not necking Gajeel’s cousin and instead getting Gajeel’s coffee. Whoops.
Screw being a lady. Lucy laughed, sidling in the door feeling like a cat that got the cream. Watching Gray scowl and pull away from the counter, she sauntered up to the glass case of scones, leaning her weight on her elbow.
“Gajeel wanted an espresso, caramel macchiato for Erza, coconut latte with extra cream and half shot of espresso for Natsu… Do you still have that monthly special cinnamon bun frap?”
When Juvia nodded with a smile, already knowing the orders by heart and was already halfway finishing Gajeel’s, Lucy grinned back. “I’ll have that.”
As Juvia moved away to quickly make the orders, Lucy felt the weight of Gray’s glare on her. “Not a word.” he hisses, avoiding her eyes with a flush as she turned to look at him.
She smirked. “Never. Snitches get stitches.”
Gray had the mind to look horrified.
She sighed in exasperation and rolled her eyes. “It’s a saying, Gray. Relax. My lips are sealed. But for real, Gajeel will grind your bones to dust and use it as flour if you upset her. Hell, if he finds out you had pervy thoughts about her-!”
Gray shushed her quickly, cringing. “I would never, but I don’t need you to remind me of my imminent and painful future demise, thanks.”
“More like disembowelment and castration.” She supplied helpfully.
He winced more. “Thank you. Not making it better.”
“Espresso, caramel macchiato, coconut latte with all the fixin’s, and a cinnamon bun frap.” Juvia called lightly, approaching the counter with the full drink carrier. But, it was Gray who held out a card for payment, smiling easily at both girl’s surprised expression.
“It was me that was originally sent for coffee. At least let me pay.” he reasoned lightly, winking at Juvia and making her squeak and avert her eyes.
Lucy grimaced, but took the coffee anyway and turned way as fast as her body and the hot liquids would allow. “Ugh, just remember to come up for air, kiddos.”
She ignored Gray’s sputters, but Juvia’s embarrassed giggles and the, “Have a great day, Love Rival” was something she couldn’t ignore.
“Juvia, it's been like five years since I met Gray and I still have negative one hundred percent wish to date him, at all.”
The wicked teasing gleam still shone in the barista’s eyes. “So negative equals a positive?”
Gray groaned and Lucy wished she could facepalm but she needed her free hand to hold the door open for a couple trying to enter the shop. “That’s still not how it works!”
.
.
.
What on Earth would be a perfect Tuesday night for Lucy? Well, there was sitting at home in her pajamas, snuggled in her couch with nothing but movies to watch and snacks to eat. There was also sitting at home and working on her novel.
Mostly, she wanted to stay home.
Yet, here she was, still groggy from the nap on the couch while still in her work clothes. It wasn’t surprising to her that she never made it to her bed before crashing but she was still bitter on the fact that she never got her shoes off in the process.
Anyway, here she was, dressed up and loathing the fact that Levy had the brass balls to threaten her with Erza. Any sort of surprise that required the threat of Erza was fishy. Any surprise from Levy was to be taken with caution.
The blind date Levy had set her up with had, by far, been one of the worst in her dating history. A shiver caressed Lucy’s spine.
All dressed up and standing before Levy’s apartment door, Lucy could hear noises beyond the wood. Just what did her friend have in store tonight? She glanced at her phone once more, reading the text ‘Don’t be late or I’ll send Erza over’.
She was a witch. A conniving, wicked witch with the apartment that was smelling more and more like...blueberries?
Lucy took a deeper sniff, blinking at the fact that yes, the air was filled with the smell of berries galore. What kind of evil plot involved blueberries? Lucy didn’t have the chance to think on it.
The door swung open, the brightness inside contrasting with the dim hallway lamps and making her squint. It didn’t matter if she couldn’t see, however. The shortness of the figure before her gave her a clue.
“Right on time! We’ve been waiting.” Levy greeted lightly, ushering Lucy in with more force than needed and taking the time to suspiciously glance around the hall before slamming the door hard enough to make Lucy nearly bite her tongue.
Lucy staggered inside, barely able to kick her shoes off before Levy was pushing her deeper inside, past the sitting room and all the way into the kitchen.
It was at that moment that Lucy knew she probably fell into a wormhole somewhere enroute to the apartment. That or literally walked her way into the Twilight Zone without paying attention.
“Welcome!” Erza greeted regaly with a knife and fork in her hands, a plate full of syrup and fruit piled before her. “I feared that I would have to fetch you if you took much longer to get here.”
She had a napkin tucked into her shirt, a second one neatly folded on her lap. But Lucy saw it: The hunger in the woman’s eyes as she turned to the plate before her. “Now we can begin.”
Levy brushed past her, taking her own seat next to Erza and tucking a napkin on her lap as well before dragging a bowl of melted fudge closer.
The part that really set this strange occurance apart was the sight of the man with wild black hair tamed into a ponytail leaning over a skillet with a spatula, his eyes narrowed at her as if she personally offended him by her presence.
Gajeel, wearing a red ‘Kiss the Cook’ apron, was slaving over Levy’s stove with a powdered sugar handprint right on his-
Lucy nearly peed herself laughing, clutching the door frame in a desperate attempt to stay upright. Tears came to her eyes, air so hard to breathe in because Gajeel was wearing an apron and had a very small and defined handprint on his ass. Gajeel was cooking.
“Oi, dont choke.” he said in his gruff manner, flipping what appeared to be really flat pancakes on the cast iron. “You breathe one word of this to the morons and I’ll have to arrest you.”
“Gaj-” Lucy inhaled and immediately broke into giggles again. “He-” More giggles came and she couldn’t stop them. She couldn’t remember the last time she laughed so hard. She missed it.
“You are now a part of Crepe Tuesdays.” Levy said, scooping a heap of crepes onto her plate before reaching for peaches.
“Secrecy is required.” Erza added, nibbling on a strawberry. “Nobody else but us know of Gajeel’s secret gift.”
“Gift?” Gajeel barked, picking up the skillet and dumping out three fresh crepes onto a plate. “Cooking ain’t a gift. It’s a life skill.”
“I think Erza was referring to your ‘crepe magic’, Gajeel.” Levy piped up with a snicker.
At last, Lucy found her voice. “Well, I like crepes better than creeps.” She took Gajeel’s offered plate, humming at the warm smell of vanilla.
“That was one time!” Levy said hotly, stabbing her fork down with a little too much force. “I said I was sorry!”
“Honestly I wanna hear this story from bunny girl’s perspective. You have a way of telling things to your favor.” Gajeel interrupted as he poured more batter out.
“Shut up!” She flung a blueberry at the back of his head.
“I do have one question.” Lucy said, sitting down an spooning some apples onto her plate. “Why crepe Tuesdays?”
Crepes are a Tuesday thing, duh.” Levy answered simply, taking a bite of her concoction and humming. “So accept your fate and eat crepes!”
Of course, silly her. It wasn’t wise to escape now, not when she had fresh crepes to eat.
Being inducted into a crepe eating society on a Tuesday evening wasn’t something Lucy ever planned on in her life, but she would never look a gift horse in the mouth. Taking her fork up, Lucy dug into her crepe, not questioning it again. She always liked a good fate story after all.

.
.
Natsu’s arm trembled as he lifted it to block a well placed kick at his head. There was intense power behind it, enough to give him a concussion if he had failed to block in time. The shin struck between the pads, making contact with his skin and jolting a flash of pain through his mind.
Air breezed past his lips, his back muscles tensing for a second before he reacted. Grasping the ankle, Natsu flashed a cocky grin before he lifted the leg above his head with intent to unbalance his opponent.
Unfortunately, his opponent had about 15 years more experience than he.
With a bark of laughter, the man shifted, kicking out with his other leg as he warped backwards. He landed on his hands just as his foot was inches from Natsu’s face. There was no choice. Natsu let go of the ankle to block what could be a painful broken nose.
His sensei grunted as he balanced in a handstand before coiling to land on his feet. His normally slicked back coppery hair was out of place and frazzled, eyes glittering with delight as he smirked.
Natsu tensed in alarm, forgetting almost everything he was supposed to be doing as his sensei lunged quicker than a tiger on the hunt.
I’m open. Natsu thought as he stayed frozen, watching as if having an out of body experience, He sees a weakness!
It was too late. With a viper-quick swipe of a leg to his knees, Natsu was flat on his back and staring at the ceiling. Everything burned but the mat was cold on his bare, heated back.
Damn you, Gildarts! I almost had you!
Gildarts snorted, clearly knowing his student’s thoughts as he leaned over to ruffle Natsu’s hair. “Time out, runt. You gotta hydrate.” he teased before offering his hand.
Pride dented, Natsu accepted the help up off the mat, cracking his neck as they both moved to the bench where their water bottles waited. Both men settled down on the old wooden bench, leaning back and sipping slowly. Gildarts draped a towel around his shoulders, occasionally swiping sweat that beaded on his face.
The silence spoke the most, ever since Natsu was a teen. It was the understanding between them, the calm acceptance that he had no time for outside the dojo.
“You’ve gotten flabby. Natsu, are you skipping your morning exercises?” Gildarts asked after a long yawn.
Natsu, halfway in the process of gulping down water, choked and dribbled water down his front and out of his nose. With a grimace, he accepted the second towel Gildarts offered. Of course he caught on. Today’s sparring was lackluster. It always did when Natsu had too much on his mind. It took fists and pain to bring everything together.
“You know, the man that is out of practice, takes the losses.” Gildarts said, setting down his bottle and resting his elbows on the back of the bench.
Natsu rolled his eyes, dropping the white towel on his lap. Another one of his old sayings again? “Where did you get that philosophy? A fortune cookie?” he said with no real heat behind it.
Gildarts laughed. A deep, throaty laugh that warmed Natsu just a little.
“You’re witty when you wanna be, boy.” He snorted again, glancing to Natsu out of the corner of his eye. “So, where did the Shakespeare quote book come from?” he asked slyly.
Natsu’s spine snapped taunt, all thoughts freezing as his eyes shoot to his bag and the spine of the book that traitorously peeked out of the zipper. Aw shit. “I-uh-”.
Gildart slapped him on the back, eyes glittering again with that feral look. There was blood in the water now and he was on the hunt. He watched Natsu’s shoulders tense as the younger man looked for a way out of the impending interrogation, and Gildarts lived for it. He grinned lecherously, “Is it a girl?”
The flash of panic in Natsu’s expression, only lasting half a second, but it was a clear answer.
“So it is a girl! Haha ‘bout time!”
Carefully, Natsu closed his eyes and exhaled, measuring his next inhale just as carefully. Find the zen. Erza’s weird seminars on CD’s played in his mind, the voices of faceless life coaches telling him to find peace and face this head on. It wasn’t like he actively listened to them like Erza, but after hearing them constantly in the office, he had disk one thru five memorized.
“I’m working on it, but yes.” he answered thinly.
Gildarts hummed, turning his head in interest. “Oh? Who is she? Can she handle you? Is she aware that you sleep talk? Can she wrangle you when you get hot blooded? Does she got a nice bod?” He motioned both hands at his chest with a wink and a dirty cackle.
Natsu slugged him, perhaps more messily than intended but he had to make a point.
Gildarts caught his fist easily, his perverted grin widening. “She dooo.” he drawls.
It pressed all the right buttons. Natsu bound to his feet, fist clenched and eyes sparking like flint on steel. “Alright pervy old man! You’re asking for it!”
Laughing brightly, Gildarts shed his towel and stood, walking slowly to the mat again as he watched Natsu bobbing on his feet now. Ah, he thought as he prepared to start the spar again, that is more like the little runt I know.
Natsu didn’t wait for him to count down. He lurched forward, and Gildarts dodged a punch with ease. His pupil went in for another, and Gildarts dodged that too..At first, Gildarts really thought Natsu wanted to clock him, but then Natsu opened his mouth.
“Her name’s Lucy. She’s the new ADA here.” Natsu swung wide and Gildarts seized the chance to prod at unprotected muscle. Natsu wheezed as the strike robbed him of the air in his lungs, stepping away to catch it again.
“S-She’s...amazing. Real smart and able to put puzzles together in the courtroom. She smiles real pretty too.”
Gildarts kicked out, Natsu ducking as if he saw it coming.
“When she laughs, I feel like I ate too much. But, I can tell she’s been hurt. It’s in her eyes, you know? That’s why. The quotes make her smile, even just a little.”
Gildarts stared, blinking stupidly at the boy that always clammed up on his tender emotions in the past. Now, he saw raw passion for this ‘Lucy’. Passion that he was trying to hide most of the time.
“Kiss her then.” Gildarts suggested, blocking another strike.
Natsu’s face turned crimson. “H-Hell no! She’d floor me!”
“Tell her then.” He tried again.
Natsu puckered his face like he sucked a lemon. “No way. I don’t do that mushy confession shit Gildarts.”
“Then you’re a pansy.” Gildarts teased, dodging the violent series of hits Natsu responded with. “A paaansy~”.
This earned him a few aggressive punches to the block pads but otherwise, Gildarts thanked his lucky stars that Natsu let him get away with the teasing. The runt really had grown up.
“So, you staying out of trouble?” He changed the subject, knowing Natsu didn’t want to brag about his unrequited beau t a pervert like him the whole time. Plus, it wasn’t what was bothering him.
Natsu snorted, catching a kick and shoving the leg away in the next second. His bangs clung to his forehead, his breathing leveled as he prowled around in a circle, looking for a break in defense.
“I’m not that same kid from juvie anymore.” he reasoned quietly, pouting slightly when Gildarts showed no break in his guard. “The straight and narrow, or else I got a lot of people in line to kick my ass.”
At that, the older man smiled slightly.
“I’m glad to hear it.” He truly was. The kid deserved so much more than the hell he was dragged out of. He straightened, making a show of looking to the clock. “Well, I think I’m gonna call it for tonight. I wanna go home and dot on my darling daughter.”
Natsu relaxed too, but his nose wrinkled. “Oh yeah, Cana is just darling, isn’t she?”
Gildarts ignored the sarcasm, stepping off the mat to grasp his towel again. “Same time next week?”
His pupil didn’t stop shuffling through his bag for a clean shirt. “Yeah. Sounds good.”
Turning to watch, Gildarts payed attention to the still present stiffness of Natsu’s shoulders, the shadow of fatigue lingering over him. The man wasn’t sleeping right. It was present in the way he moved, the way his eyes glazed, and the way he was his less chipper self.
When he met Natsu some years ago, there was that darkness lurking in the boy. The anger, the regret, and mostly the loneliness had mulched up much of what the boy could have been. The world showed him no mercy in the hand he was dealt, and it forged the jaded diamond of a kid that was in and out of juvie.
Honestly, at first Gildarts wanted nothing to do with him. He was to bring nothing but trouble to him and his daughter. When Makarov approached him with a favor to take the boy as a foster, he turned him down flat. The kid was too much trouble.
Then, old Makarov went to Igneel.
It was a below the belt hit to go to his boxing rival, but Gildarts didn’t blame the old coot. Igneel turned out to be a far better influence than he ever could. Natsu’s transformation was almost like magic. He laughed more, smiled more, played pranks and even grew to love those around him. The angry little boy became a man that always had a trick up his sleeves.
When Igneel adopted Natsu, Gildarts was sure that everything would be alright, that happiness had been achieved. They even came to the dojo for regular matches, Igneel teaching the kid boxing and martial arts.
Until, Igneel had that accident when Natsu was eighteen.
Igneel was out on his bike and it was dark. Some drunk driver came around and-
The loss still was heavy, Gildarts could tell. If he felt it, God knows Natsu shouldered it too.
And then there was-
Ah.
“It’s been three months.”
Natsu stiffened, pausing as he unwrapped his hands. His face remained impassive, his emotions carefully packed down again. After a second, he continued, packing his bag a little quicker than before. He pulled on a shirt and quickly shoved his boxing gloves in the bag, not looking up from his task.
“Natsu.” Gildarts tried softly.
Natsu whirled around sharply, eyes betraying every feeling he was trying to hide. “If you think I’m grieving or something, you are wrong. We weren’t close. We just survived together.” he snapped, turning back and zipping his bag closed.
Gildarts sighed tiredly, already regretting bringing the subject up but knowing it was too late to back out and leave it alone. “You were biological brothers. His death must of had some impact-?”
Natsu had none of it. He shouldered the bag strap, cracking his shoulders and glaring at the floor with all the bottled up anger. “He was arrested when I was seven. He got life in prison for what he did: to me and the others. If I felt something, it would be justice.”
But, to Gildarts surprise, Natsu let out a long sigh before meeting his gaze and smiling in exhaustion. “Anyway, I gotta catch up on The Arrow so I’ll see you next time, Pops.” He turned with a wave, walking for the exit just as quickly as he packed.
There was sorrow as Gildarts watched the door close and heard the footsteps down the creaky stairs. Already, the warmth of that kid’s presence was fading. He really was Igneel’s boy, bringing the same energy anywhere he went.
With a shake of his head, Gildarts moved to close up, muttering “That kid’s gonna pop at the wrong moment one of these days.”
.
.
.
Natsu kept his brisk pace down the sidewalk, pulling up his hood and adjusting his headphones over his ears. His mind buzzed, the little voice of his conscience pestering him with every step he took.
Gildarts was only trying to help. Every one of his friends were. Gajeel and Gray, they gave him space when he needed it. Laxus made sure he wasn’t going space cadet at his desk. Lucy kept his mind on the future, reminding him that whatever he was in the past wasn’t who he was now.
A face flashed across his mind, raven hair and a sad smile stained his thoughts. Natsu grit his teeth, barely holding back a snarl of irritation. Zeref, his older brother, someone who was supposed to be family.
He hadn’t seen him since that day he was convicted, sentenced to a life in Plutogrim Penitentiary. He had watched numbly as they cuffed him and dragged him out of the courtroom, his voice calm as he yelled, “No matter where you go, I will always be able to find you, precious brother.’
It scared Natsu at seven, and it scared him as a full grown adult.
Everytime a letter addressed to him in that sickenly familiar script appeared in the mail, Natsu took great pleasure in setting it ablaze. To watch the words burn made him feel powerful, like he was in charge of his life now. Sometimes there were photographs and he loved to watch them burn too.
Then, that one letter arrived three months ago, his name stamped on the envelope, not written. He recalled how his fingers trembled as he opened the letter, numb as he read the contents.
Zeref...was dead. Killed in a cell block riot.
He didn’t remember crying, or screaming. Gray and Gajeel came in just in time to see him put his hand through the wall.
It took one look at the letter for them to understand.
Now, the hole was fixed, a decent sized punching bag in the garage for all three of them to vent on. Fighting was part of their lives, so it payed to stay fit.
He didn’t know why he lost it that day. Maybe it was rage that he never fully paid for his crimes? Maybe it was sorrow for the last connection with his biological family. Maybe he even still loved his brother after all the hell he was put through.
It never erased the wrongness of their crimes. The Dragneel brothers. They started at burglary...and grew into arson and everything else on the wrong side of the law.
His nails dug into his palm. Once Zeref was removed, his life turned around. It all turned around. Even after Igneel passed, Natsu still had family in his friends.
So...why did it still hurt?
Natsu knew he still felt spite at his older sibling, the chance to prove that Zeref was always wrong about him. He wanted his brother to know he wasn’t a waste, or a monster, and that he could be something great. Now, he’d never have that since Zeref was gone. Maybe that was all there was.
He turned down the one way street to his shared house, noticing the kitchen and living room lights on. Two cars sat in the driveway, a blue Ford Focus and a silver Nissan Titan.
So both of them were home already. Natsu breathes in.
He stepped up onto the porch, thankful that one of them remembered to leave the light on so he could see the keyholes. With an exhale, Natsu felt the relief of being home settle in his chest, and his hand fell to the doorknob.

The Tenth Kidnapping of Eren Jaeger
[read on AO3 || on ff.net] [read from the First one]
Summary: The 10 times Eren gets kidnapped, with varying degrees of severity to the crime and some repeated offenders. (Erwin didn’t sign up for this.) Pairing: Levi/Eren Additional tags: Canon Verse, Humor, Parody(?), Fluff Chapter Words: 1639
Commander Erwin walked into the mess hall one morning during breakfast, asking for attention. At his tired, defeated voice everyone fell deadly silent, dreading what was to come and preparing for the worst.
After a few seconds, when he was sure he had the attention of everyone present, Erwin took a deep breath, closed his eyes in mental agony and began his speech. “I really didn’t want it to come down to this. I really, really don’t want to ask this question.” Every single person in the hall bated their breath in anticipation. “Does anyone have any clue where Eren is?”
There was a loud, collective groan. Several people started banging their heads against the nearest hard surface while a few not-again’s came from others. Even Mikasa looked exasperated, quietly declaring she didn’t even care anymore (the way she nervously grabbed her scarf gave her away, though) and Erwin gave them all a sad smile, feeling their pain. It wasn’t even funny anymore.
In the midst of all of this, there was but one hand waving enthusiastically.
And to think Erwin almost gave up all hope... “Hanji, please tell me you know something,” he all but begged the grinning Squad Leader.
“I wouldn’t go that far.” Her grin only widened as she loudly mock-whispered, as if she was sharing a big secret, “But Levi took the day off and he isn’t here either.”
Erwin blinked at her observation, looking around carefully. He didn’t see his friend anywhere which didn’t mean he didn’t just sleep in for once.
As if. Not even Erwin himself believed that thought.
The crazy scientist just might have been onto something.
Hanji was proven to be exactly right hours later, when Levi and Eren disrupted the ongoing afternoon training with their arrival. Everybody couldn’t help but stare at them in disbelief as they passed the sweaty, tired group of soldiers, both almost sparkling in their metaphorical happy little bubble of floating hearts. Some (Jean) gagged at the sight of Eren grinning, a lovestruck look on his face as he sat behind Levi on his horse, snuggled up to him way closer than was strictly necessary.
Nobody moved and nobody said anything as they watched them get off of Levi’s horse and lead it inside the stables. They still didn’t move when the two emerged back out with what looked like a picnic basket in tow, holding hands, and not paying any attention to anyone but each other as they slowly headed back to the castle. The soldiers they had left behind all did a double-take then, finally processing that that was a small, fond smile on Captain Levi’s lips.
Captain Levi. Smiling openly.
It was the weirdest thing some of them saw in their whole life. Weirder than watching a titan materialize out of nowhere. Like finding a unicorn or a talking dog.
Only when the two lovebirds disappeared from sight completely, did someone speak up, “You’re all dismissed until dinner.”
All heads snapped to look at Commander Erwin at those words. His expression was unreadable but he didn’t take back his words. And who were they to question their commander’s orders? A loud cheer echoed around the training grounds, some thanking Erwin for his mercy, to which the Commander only gave a tight smile before he stalked off after Levi and Eren.
As the soldiers were gathering their things, there were several meaningful glances exchanged between a certain group – some of them were worried, some were curious, while others were excited. Hanji was the first one to act on the silent, collective decision, grinning in that signature way of hers before she turned around, jogging after Erwin.
Mikasa followed shortly after with a slightly worried frown on her face, pulling her scarf tighter around her neck as she set off in a quick pace. Armin was next, grabbing a weakly protesting Jean on the way. (“But I don’t care about what happens to them!” “Stop lying to yourself, Jean.”)
Krista looked questioningly at Ymir who only shrugged, throwing her arm around the smaller girl’s shoulders possessively, and they slowly made their way after their friends. Sasha announced she was hungry and was going to run by the kitchen before joining the rest, and instructed Connie to give a detailed report if she missed anything. The boy smirked and gave her a proper salute before quickly limping away. (Training did that to people sometimes.)
Erwin knocked sharply on the door to Levi’s room while being painfully aware of all the eyes and ears discretely watching and listening from around the corner. He was doing his best to ignore them but Hanji with her dramatic commentary was making that particularly difficult. (“Nobody’s opening the door. Anything could be happening in there. They could be sleeping, eating, writing poetry, cleaning, cleaning each other, dirtying each other, doing satanic rituals. Will the big, bad guy try forcing his way through to solve the mystery and possibly get dismembered on the way, or will he be wise and wait for them to finish?”)
Erwin took a deep sigh, closing his eyes briefly to gather the strength he needed to deal with all of these people, before he knocked again. It took him several tries but eventually the door opened, revealing a dripping wet Levi, obviously just out of the shower.
“Ooh, now I’m kind of jealous of Eren,” a female voice that sounded like the speaker had her mouth full sighed. Probably Sasha, Erwin concluded.
Connie the Wounded Boyfriend followed the declaration with a scandalized, “Excuse me?”
“You have to admit Levi’s hot, though.”
‘Not you, too, Hanji,’ Erwin thought, pinching the bridge of his nose while Levi’s eyes flickered in the direction of the spying group with a raised eyebrow. He shook his head and looked back at his superior a moment later. “What do you want Erwin?”
“What do you think Levi?” Erwin asked in return pleasantly, belying his annoyance.
Levi folded his arms on his chest, leaning on the door frame as he frowned up at Erwin, sighing, “If this is about me taking Eren out-”
“You mean you dragging Eren off without telling anyone, much less getting permission, right?” Erwin corrected, interrupting Levi, and although he still tried to sound casual, his irritation was now apparent in his voice.
“Whatever.”
A chorus of gasps echoed in the distance, but both men ignored the audience.
“Levi, this is a serious matter. You can’t just up and elope with him. What if something happened? What if someone attacked you two? What if the military police found out? This relationship in itself is breaking practically all military rules there are, plus some. I really should severely punish you both for all of this, but mostly you. Even without the stunt you pulled today.”
Erwin didn’t stop there. He went on and on for some, listing all of the reasons he was angry and every disciplinary action Levi and Eren should be facing. He looked more and more frustrated as he went on, while Levi only looked more and more uninterested. The audience was holding their breaths the whole time, waiting for one of them to snap.
When Erwin paused to take a deep breath so he could continue, Levi grabbed the opportunity to interrupt him, “So what are you going to do about it, dad? Ground me? You can’t very well ‘punish’ me properly or the military police would definitely know. And we don’t want that, do we?”
Erwin gave him a cold glare, replying in a calm yet deadly tone, “Indeed. I won’t be taking any military disciplinary actions but I can and will make you regret this.” Levi gave an unimpressed snort at that and Erwin narrowed his eyes at him. “I mean it, Levi.”
“Right.”
At that moment, the bathroom door inside the room opened and Eren came out, fully dressed, rubbing his wet hair with a towel. His brows furrowed in confusion at the scene before him, asking uncertainly, “Uhm, is something wrong?”
Erwin opened his mouth to chew Eren out as well but Levi was faster. “No, it’s nothing. Erwin was just leaving.”
The door was shut resolutely in Erwin’s face then and dead silence fell over the corridor. Both the kids and Hanji shrunk away in fear, trying to blend in with their surroundings when a very, very dark aura started emitting from the Commander.
“Hanji,” he said finally in a low, authoritative voice, sounding every bit the commander he was.
Hanji squeaked in surprise but jumped to attention immediately, “Yes sir!”
“You’re in charge. All of you here will go through the castle, top to bottom. You will search every room, every closet, every corner in this building. You will confiscate every and all cleaning tools you find – soaps, rags, mops, everything – and put them inside the room next to my office. Now.”
Erwin could say he was satisfied when Levi came to him grovelling before the night even ended, swearing up and down to never ever just up and kidnap Eren again, no matter how much Hanji keeps him away from him doing stupid experiments. If only he gets back his cleaning supplies.
Mike, who was standing guard at the door to Levi’s treasure and witnessed the event, had to fight back his laughter the whole time, especially at the sight of the face Levi made when Erwin gave Levi a definite refusal, obviously enjoying the power he had over Humanity’s Strongest in that moment.
Still, even as Levi stood in the kitchen that evening, staring with disgust at the dirty dishes they were unable to clean with no soap and no rags, he couldn’t bring himself to regret spending the day with Eren. Even if it meant he had to suffer looking at those dishes for two more days.

Fic #12
GENRE: modern au, romance, fluff RATING: T to M (No smut is anticipated, but will be referenced). WARNINGS: N/A ADDITIONAL WARNINGS: N/A
SUMMARY: A couple of years ago, when he first moved into Shiganshina, Levi used to babysit Eren. Now, Eren is a college senior and Levi teaches French at the same college, and the two of them are dating (and live together). Only problem is, no one else knows and Eren is sitting in Levi’s class for his language requirement to graduate! (The fic will bounce between past & present and span 4-5ish months. The excerpts below show an example of the past & present.)
EXCERPT:   (Excerpt in 2 halves)
“Is that you, Eren?” a familiar voice called out from the kitchen.
“Yeah. I just got back.”
“Good. Go wash your hands. Dinner’s ready.” Trudging towards the sound, Eren spied his boyfriend and French lecturer in the kitchen scooping something onto a plate. Whatever it was, it smelled fantastic. Levi had always been a good cook and had tried teaching him, but it was still a work in progress. Eren either burned most things or somehow injured himself in the process. Hurriedly washing his hands in the kitchen sink, he poured out a glass of water and grabbed the cutlery.
“How was your first day?” Levi’s first day had been shitty as always. There were late students, those who whined after class about what counted as an excusable absence, and the blind idiots milling in the hallways blissfully unaware of their surroundings. He had long since gotten used to being shorter than average, but dealing with immature college brats made it that much more frustrating.
…….
“Hi, I’m Eren!” The chubby green-eyed toddler, who had yet to lose the baby fat from his face, waved at his newfound friend. “I’m free!” The three-year-old held up his hand and stuck out three fingers.
“Maman, je ne joue pas avec un bébé.” Levi grumbled. Why was his mom forcing him to play with a baby? He wanted to go back to France. That’s where all his friends were. And he could understand everyone there. He had only learned English recently, but the baby couldn’t even pronounce three correctly.
Fic #13
GENRE: modern au, fantasy, slice of life RATING: T WARNINGS: no warnings ADDITIONAL WARNINGS: n/a
SUMMARY: When young Levi’s mother falls ill, he agrees to go live with some distant relatives over the summer so that she won’t have to worry about him. From urban centre to country village, there’s a lot of change that comes with that, but Levi plans to keep to himself. Until he meets another boy called Eren, down by the nearby lake. Eren is friendly but alone, and acts strangely before sunset. With Eren’s help, plus interactions with baby cousin Mikasa and her parents, Levi learns how to enjoy summer and open up. And then Eren hits him with a secret; at night, he lives in the lake as a merman.
EXCERPT: Levi sits in the car for so long that Uncle comes and opens his door for him, Levi’s bag held loosely under his arm. He steps out onto dirt and gravel, taking in his surroundings. The air is fresh and clean, and the leaves rustle at the lightest breeze. It feels like the middle of nowhere, but Levi finds he doesn’t mind the thought so much. It’s not like he chooses to go many places in the city either. His hobbies are mostly solitary anyway, and he keeps to himself. While he’s here, he has no friends to call, and only one person to miss.
Fic #14
GENRE modern (college) au; drama; romance RATING: E (or M, if I end up chickening out on the smut) WARNINGS: underage sex (or, at least, allusions from past Ereri) ADDITIONAL WARNINGS: Please note that Eren is going to be several (minor) relationships with other characters before he ends up with Levi and that their relationship is not going to be sweet and fluffy until the very end. There will be hints (if not explicit references) of past infidelity, emotional abuse and trust issues if I don’t end up excluding them. Also, I know very little about college life so there may be some inaccuracies that I will attempt to correct (but might not succeed entirely on eliminating). Background ships include: Eren/various characters (which will most likely include, but are not limited to: Jean, Annie, and other original characters); EruMike; Jean/Marco/Armin
SUMMARY: It’s been a tiring decade but, at long last, Levi’s on the cusp of graduating college with a PhD, friends (that he could do without, in all honesty) and a healthy fear of everyone under the age of 25; all he needs, now, is to survive his final year and land himself a job. Everything’s perfect (or as perfect as it can get in college) except for his nymphomaniac of a neighbour, who just has to fuck the loudest partners at the most inappropriate times, and the spectre of someone he once knew drifting at the edges of his vision.
But when Levi gets smashed beyond any limit he’s imposed on himself and wakes to a strange bed, he also wakes to someone who’s not strange. Specifically, the man who’d made him reconsider everything he knew about love and trust- and the same man who’s been plaguing his thoughts since they broke up years ago, has possibly fucked his way through most of the college and is (to all appearances) determined to screw up his life once again.
Levi’s been running away from Eren Jaeger for years but now, with the hope of his future jeopardized by his past, he has to settle things once and for all (and if he’s still vulnerable to the jerk because of certain feelings, well… nobody has to know).
EXCERPT: “Captain, this is Squad Leader. I repeat—”
“What the fuck is wrong with you,” Levi flatly grumbles, itching to rip out his earpiece and crush it underfoot. “We’re not in a fucking spy novel; speak like a normal human being.”
“But what’s the use of all this stuff if I can’t live a little?” Hange whines, voice lilting in the distinctive way Levi’s grown to associate with their kicked-puppy expression. “Besides, this is a covert mission! A brilliant plan to bring our sleep back! This will be—”
“The death of you if you don’t shut the fuck up,” Levi hisses, glaring at the undergrad staring slack-jawed at him.

GENRE: Modern AU, Fetish Model AU, BDSM AU, Piercing & Tattoo AU RATING: Explicit WARNINGS: No Archive Warnings Apply ADDITIONAL WARNINGS: This fic will contain accurate information of the BDSM community as well as descriptions of a BDSM nightclub, fetish model information, and a BDSM instruction scene of simple spanking. If these things make you uncomfortable please do avoid it. Most things are not delved too deeply into and it is not centered on this but it is influenced and scenes do occur with this focus.
SUMMARY: Left on his own in his, rather expensive, home, Eren Jaeger must find himself a new roommate to cover the loss of his last. He takes to online classifieds to search for the perfect person. Fortunately, his search is fruitful. Provided with Levi Ackerman, Eren is more than thankful….at first. Levi’s job of a piercer and his own of a professional make-up artist keeps them from seeing too much of one another and, thus, he seems to be the perfect roommate: quiet, clean, and pays he rent on time. There is one problem, however, and that is that after a couple of months his behavior borders on the erratic. Not seen eating, unknown patterns of sleeping, coming in once or twice with bloodied clothing, and most of all? A padlock securely fastened on his bedroom door no matter what time he left the house. After divulging his fears to his colleagues he’s left with one conclusion: Levi Ackerman is a serial killer. It all comes down to one night of following him to find out what exactly he’s hiding beneath the cover of the night.
EXCERPT: Armin chuckled softly “Haha, well, if you live with Dexter you might want to find out. I don’t know how you’d go about doing that exactly, but I’d want to know if my roommate was luring people from craigslist and chopping them up in my spare bedroom.”
Thinking about that fact made Eren skin prick as a chill seeped into his spine “Dude!! Can you not?! I don’t wanna get murdered.”
“You’re probably not his type,” Ymir cackled with a crooked grin. “Besides, he wouldn’t do anything to damage home base since you could give him an alibi when the hooker on the corner of 5th and Garland goes missing.”
“Goddammit, Ymir!” Eren shrieked in a less than dignified whine. “You guys are gonna have me freaked out of my fucking roommate. Levi isn’t that bad he’s just…. weird.”
“Well,” Marco started with a shrug “if he is hiding something your best bet is to follow him around one night and see where he goes. Stay out of sight and just, ya know, see where he goes. Maybe you make a flash mold of the key to the padlock while he’s busy and you may even be able to sneak into his room when he’s out. It’s time to see just what the weirdo is up to.”

Diddly Bops! - New Hope Club Imagine! (ft. The Tide)
A/N: Two members of The Tide will be in this one. It’s based on that scene from Victorious. If you don’t know what Victorious is, it was a show on Nickelodeon and personally, one of my favorites.
The set up is like the YouTuber Imagine I wrote from last time. The Into The Woods and High School Musical one. I’ll put the links here:
Into The Woods: Sidemen
High School Musical: Sidemen 2
Just remember:
Austin = spaghetti
Nate = pizza
Blake = hamburger
George = broccoli
Reece = hotdog
You = strawberry ice cream
* * * *
“Hey guys!” you greeted your friends. Your friends are the members of New Hope Club and The Tide. I know right, lucky life. You all go to the same school together, and all of you are members of theatre club.
“Hey Y/N!” they said in unison.
“Anyway, our theatre club teacher got us a gig.” You squealed in happiness. Performing is your life. You love performing in front of a crowd, whether big or small.
“Wow!” Reece said.
“I know right! He didn’t really tell me anything else. So, we have to meet him in the theatre club classroom before we go home.” You said before leaving.
-at the theatre club classroom-
“Okay. I assume you heard about the gig. Drum roll please!” the male theatre teacher pointed at Nate Parker, also your friend.
Nate tapped on the empty chair next to him before the teacher told him to stop.
“It’s a children’s birthday party!” the teacher cheered.
“What?!” Blake shrieked.
“I did a drum roll for this?” Nate asked. To be honest, he looked a bit high. In reality he just lacks sleep, because he lives in a loud neighborhood.
“All my God given talents are relied on me singing and dancing at a random child’s birthday party?” Austin asked.
“Calm down, everyone!” the teacher said calmly.
“Calm down? Calm down?! Children are messy and noisy. They won’t appreciate what we have to offer!” George screeched.
“Alright, I’ll explain. Yes, Blake you heard it right. Yes, Nate you did a drum roll for this. Yes, Austin all your God given talents are relied on a child’s birthday party. And yes, George they probably won’t appreciate what you have to offer. Unless…” the teacher said dramatically.
“Unless what?” you asked.
“Unless you have a strategy!” the teacher cheered.
“What kind of strategy?” Reece asked.
“I don’t know. I just suggested that. The birthday is next week so, I’ll leave you all to it.” The teacher said, “Oh and before I leave, where’s Drew and Levi?”
“Drew’s on a family cruise.” Austin replied as he looked at Nate.
Nate looked at Austin and shrugged, “Levi’s just being Levi. I don’t know, man. He doesn’t tell me anything. All I know is that I need sleep."
Austin groaned and said, “Levi has the flu.”
“Okay so, it’s just all of you except Levi and Drew.” The teacher said before leaving.
-at your house-
“Okay so, any ideas?” you asked your friends.
“We could dress up as clowns?” Blake suggested.
“Children would be terrified. I, personally, would be terrified if I see your face.” You said.
“How dare you.” Blake replied.
“Anything else?” you asked.
“We could perform a High School Musical song?” George suggested.
“That’ll be great…for teenagers. Kids at this generation don’t even know High School Musical.” You said.
“We should do a skit from Harry Potter! You know that scene in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets where Draco and Harry did a duel thing? We could do that!” Reece exclaimed.
“There’s only Draco, Harry, and Snape. Plus, the background people and the children won’t understand that.” You reasoned out.
“We could sleep.” Nate said sleepily.
“Go to sleep, Nate. We’ll wake you up when the pizza gets here.” You said as you pat Nate’s back as he slowly drifted off to dreamland.
“I love performing and all, but we can’t really think of anything. Let’s just not show up. Let’s just tell our teacher that we went to visit Levi and now we all have the flu.” Austin said as he leaned back on the couch.
“We can’t just give up! Let’s sing about…..food.” you suggested.
“That could work.” Reece shrugged.
“Speaking of food, you’re named after one.” Blake said.
“Not really. Remember the rules in spelling? Wrong spelling is wrong.” Reece stuck his tongue out at Blake.
“Pizza’s here!” George stood up from where he sat and walked to the door to get the pizza. “Who’s paying?” he asked.
“Well, you’re there. So, you’re paying.” Austin said.
“Wait. What?!” George shrieked.
“I’m lazy to get up. I’ll pay you back before you leave.” You told George.
“Don’t pay me back. I mean, it’s you. Consider this as my treat.” George winked at you before paying the pizza guy.
“Keep it G rated, guys. What the hell.” Blake teased.
After paying, George put the two pizza boxes on the coffee table and sat on the couch. “Dig in, guys!” George said as he rubbed his hands together kinda like how villains plan their evil scheme.
“Nate, wake up! The pizza’s here!” you said as you shook Nate awake.
“Thanks. Who paid for this?” Nate asked as he took a slice of pepperoni pizza.
“George did.” Reece said with a mouthful of pizza.
“Let’s start writing the food song.” You said.
“Wait, what about our costumes?” Nate asked.
“The teacher will be handling that as soon as he finds out about our song.” You said.
“Cheese…veggies…treats…pizza…hamburgers…ice cream cakes…noodles…chicken nuggets…” Austin mumbled about random food.
“Austin, are you okay?” Reece asked.
“Yeah. Why’d you ask?” Austin furrowed his eyebrows.
“Nothing. It’s just that you’re mumbling about random food and you’re not making any sense right now.” Reece said full of concern.
“But it’s the food song so, I’m saying these in hopes to make good lyrics.” Austin reasoned out.
“That could work! ‘What I like about cheese, is that you can put it on veggies’.” Nate sang.
“Yeah! You’re great, Austin! And Nate? You finally did something. I congratulate you.”  You said as you wiped a fake tear.
“Gee, thanks.” Nate smiled as he ate another slice.

“Okay are you guys ready?” the teacher asked.
“Mhm. We’re all set.” You said.
“Just remember that each of you are going to be paid a thousand bucks.” The teacher said before walking on stage to introduce your group.
All of you were in costumes and waiting backstage for your cue.
“I swear, my dignity is gone.” Austin shook his head.
“At least you’re dressed as spaghetti. I’m dressed as a hotdog.” Reece said with a straight face as he looked at Austin.
“To be fair, I’m a hamburger. Do you know how long it took to get me in to this thing?!” Blake shrieked.
“I look like a tree.” George said quietly as he looked at his costume through the mirror. He’s dressed as a broccoli.
“I’m just glad to be here. I sing and dance and I get paid for it. Like, wow. Plus, I got enough sleep last night!” Nate smiled.
“Why can’t you all be like Nate?” you asked the rest as you put on your cherry hat. Yeah, you’re dressed as a strawberry flavored ice cream.
“Nate, you’re dressed as a pizza.” Blake told him.
“I mean, you are what you eat right? I’m dressed as a pizza, because I love pizza. Makes sense to me.” Nate shrugged.
“The Diddly-Bops!” you heard your teacher say on stage.
“That’s us! Let’s go and don’t forget to smile.” You said before walking on stage.

youtube
-on stage-
“Hi kids!” George smiled.
“Apparently, we’re the Diddly-Bops!” you said as you looked at your techer who just mouthed a small “sorry”.
“And we’re here to sing you a special song.” Austin said.
“All about your favorite food!” Nate enthusiastically said.
“Sing about dinosaurs!” the little birthday boy in the audience said.
“No!” Reece said with a smile.
“Now, get ready!” George smiled as the music played.
(a/n: I’ll switch it up a bit)
Everyone: What I like about cheese…
Blake, Reece, Nate: Is that you can put it on veggies
Everyone: And it tastes..mm mm so good
George: *jumps* Yeah!
Everyone; I like to talk about food, cause it’s my favorite thing to do. Any treat from yellow to blue, red and green so let’s all sing. *forms one line* Tell me all about your favorite food…
Nate: *in front of the line* Mine is pizza! *gets out of the line* (everyone: *gets out of line*)
Blake: *dances* And I like hamburgers too! *glares at children*
Austin & George: I’ll eat ice cream cake ‘til my tummy aches *rubs stomach*
You: But then here’s what I’ll do (everyone: here’s what I’ll do)
Everyone: Share some mine with you! Yummy yummy…. (ooh) in my tummy…. (ooh)…. Yummy yummy
Blake: *whispers to you with a smile so kids won’t notice* Hate this
You: *whispers back* thousand bucks
Blake: *whispers* not enough
Everyone: I like noodles in a bowl
Blake, Reece, Nate: Chicken Nuggets make me lose control
Everyone: Cause they taste mm mm so good
George: *jumps* Yeah!
George & Austin: I’ll eat ice cream cake ‘til my tummy aches
You: But then here’s what I’ll do (everyone: here’s what I’ll do)
Everyone: Share some mine with you! Yummy yummy… FOOD! *pose & jazz hands*
-after the performance-
“Hey Reece!” George called.
“What?” Reece turned to face George.
“Sing about dinosaurs!” George said as he mimicked the birthday boy, while the others laughed.
“No!” Reece smiled.
“Wasn’t that awesome?” Nate asked with a sincere grin etched across his face.
Everyone looked at him like he was crazy. “Dude, did you not realize that we looked like fools out there?” Austin asked.
“What if someone took a video of us and posted it on the internet? My life is O-V-E-R! What will my future kids say when they see their dad dancing in a hamburger outfit?!” Blake panicked.
“Chill out, chill out, chill out, chill out take your costume off!” George sang. (a/n: if you get this, I love you xD)
“How dare you.” Blake said.
“At least we get paid for this.” Nate said as he stuffed his mouth with chocolates.
“Where on earth did you get that?” you asked.
“From the food table. The dad of the birthday boy told me to ‘help myself’ with some food so, I did.” Nate shrugged.
“Well, at least there’s free food.” Reece said walking over to the food table.
“True.” Austin said as he followed.

Felony of the Heart (Ch 8)
Fandom: Fairy Tail Genre: Romance and Friendship Pairing: Main- NaLu. Sides- Gajevy, Gruvia and Jerza
Summary: What would you do if you were forced into a school that deals with Delinquents and young adults that have committed felonies? Lucy Heartfilia would rather chance it than going back home to being married off. What lies ahead for the blonde is unknown but she's convinced she can make it through with him by her side
Chapter seven
You will meet many opponents in your time that will come face to face with our flaws, trust the chaos- pain and confusion is the pathway to break open and become free.
~ Nikki Rowe
Juvia's sudden action to stand and to give Zancrow what seemed to be one of the dirtiest looks I've ever seen, surprised not only me but everyone else in the room. It certainly didn't go unnoticed by Gray who was beside me. His frown that he usually sported tensed a little less in interest, and his dark orbs focused on what was happening in front of us .
Zancrow's own disgusting red eyes stared back into Juvia's deep blue ones, waiting for her to act he folded his arms impatiently.
Juvia's cold eyes from when I remembered them that night looked so calm and serene right now. She didn't let Zancrow's glare shrink her into a corner nor did she have given him an opportunity.
I noticed Juvia broke the harsh stare she had with Zancrow and looked at little Wendy with warmth, her voice portraying comfort and comradery.
"Hello Wendy-san, Juvia is very happy to meet you. Would you like a seat next to Juvia?" she said in her melodic sweet sounding voice.
Wendy's dull fawn eyes showed some life and shine when she heard Juvia's sweet request and she nodded her head slightly. Zancrow rolled his eyes and scoffed at the scene but Juvia didn't even spare him a glance. She quickly grabbed a chair and shoved it between her chair and Gajeel's.
What a scary place to put the young girl…
Once they sat down Zancrow found his second wind in his cruelty that Juvia had so gracefully cut off the last time.
"Oh-ho-ho, looky here! The Gloomy girl is trying to make friends with the orphanage killer. How sweet~" He mocked.
Juvia only frowned and put her hand over Wendy's, as it was probably the only thing she could do right now. If she were to speak out to Zancrow, the consequences are unknown with the tyrant.
"And Ms Marvel I'd also watch your back with your new 'friend' as she is amazingly bipolar. It's actually hilarious! It would seem that Miss Lockser gets episodes when she isn't medicated properly, so much so that she's almost another person- a violent one at that."
Juvia squeezed Wendy's hand in fear and tried to control her emotions where she sat and Wendy squeezed back. I sat there feeling my heart plummet to my stomach… so the reason she did that to me the other night was because she wasn't medicated?
Which had to mean…
I raised my hand "Who medicates Juvia then?"
Across the room Natsu's eyes widened at my question and stared at Zancrow waiting for an answer.
Zancrow tapped his chin "Usually Ur, but this week she passed the duty to someone else. So I'm guessing whoever cares enough." He said shrugging without caring.
I looked straight to Natsu with concern on my face and his expression the same to Juvia. It looked to me that he was worried about her as much as I was. From what Zancrow had said it meant that Juvia hadn't been medicated this week and had an episode… and took it out on me.
I shook my head slightly at hearing this new information. I could only conclude that we had to help Juvia out more than ever, and now that she had taken Wendy under her wing… maybe… just maybe we can see Juvia for who she really is.
At lunch later in the day Natsu started to talk to me again, his anger clearly gone without a trace. Now understanding a bit more about Juvia he seemed himself again and had come back to my side at lunch as usual.
So now that Juvia had brought Wendy in the group the small girl was unsure what to do with us older teens and she was awfully quiet for the first few minutes of us six sitting with her. Naturally Natsu couldn't let that be.
"So Wendy what do ya like to do for fun?" He asked grinning happily to her.
The group went quiet to hear her response which caused her to shift uncomfortably
"I-uh don't do all that much…" she said quietly.
The group still stayed quiet until she spoke up again "I liked spending time with my cat…"
Natsu's face lit up "You had a cat? What was his name?" He asked eagerly.
The rest of the group carried on with their own separate conversations when they saw Wendy opening up to Natsu alone.
The small petite girl blinked in surprise to Natsu's question and smiled a bit sadly "Her name was Charle."
Natsu hummed showing her his interest, which I found very adorable about him.
"I had a cat too! His name was Happy, and he was blue."
"Blue?" I echoed
Natsu smiled sadly,"Yeah, dad said I'd traumatize the little guy by dying his fur, but he seemed to like it. I miss him a lot."
My heart sank, this would be the first time I'm hearing about his dad and a little about what his life used to be. It sounded like his dad had to put up with some crazy things Natsu had to do. I remember Natsu saying in confessionals that his dad was a fireman and he had just left without a trace. It must have really turned Natsu upside down since he decided to burn empty homes… hoping his dad would come back.
I don't remember when I did it but my hand found Natsu's under the table and gave it a reassuring squeeze. I could tell he had been caught off guard, but the calmness that swept over his face along with his signature smile showed me he appreciated it.
Natsu continued to talk about Happy to Wendy and still held onto my hand. My face heated up when I realised that we were holding hands, but I tried to direct my attention to the other side of the table and the conversations there.
Nothing new in conversation- Levy was talking about a book she had read, Erza was trying to counter on comparing the stories to her real life experiences and Gray was dishing out sarcastic comments now and then while Juvia gazed at him longingly.
I had noticed though.
Just for a slight second while Erza was talking and Levy and Juvia were listening, Gray kept giving Juvia a few glances.
From the time I've gotten to know Gray I found that he is that he is witty, sarcastic and can be cold from time to time despite his charismatic presence around others. I would guess that Juvia might have caught his attention during confessionals, and the thought made me smile a bit to myself.
Time was almost up at lunch and we should be doing chores soon, much to my dismay, and all of us were split into separate areas. The thought of Wendy being alone right now made me slightly anxious.
"Don't worry Luce, I'm close to where they assigned her." Natsu told me when he noticed my anxiousness and let go of my hand when he left the table.
I sighed in relief and smiled as I watched him bounce off to the small girl and act all brotherly.
"Juvia guesses that she had nothing to fear about Lucy being a love rival." A familiar sweet voice said next to me.
I jumped at the suddenness of Juvia's voice and was confused at her statement, "What makes you say that?"
She giggled at me "It just seems Lucy-san and Juvia don't share the same love interest." She claimed darting her eyes to Natsu.
My face became hot and my hands automatically waved around frantically "What Natsu? No h-he's just a friend! Plus we haven't known each other that long anyway" I automatically lied.
Juvia smiled like she was ready to giggle again "Lucy-san may be right about being friends with Natsu-san, but things do change."
She left my side and proceeded to the door knowing she left me red and embarrassed. Her words had clung onto me and made me feel fuzzy and sick at the same time.
But if that were true about things changing…
Then Natsu and I don't stand a chance in this place.
Everyone was on their way back to the dorms after our group chores assignment. We were working near the outskirts which was close to the teachers quarters and the principal's office, which I'm still not sure where it is. We were maintaining the obstacle course and while everyone was going to their dorms I couldn't help but feel that the whole school's staff was making me specifically suffer (It honestly wouldn't surprise me). I was told to carry on another hour after the other students were done and my request for asking why had been flat out ignored.
The two main body guards of the school were watching over me and when I was finally released they didn't care which direction I went since they happily trotted to the gates exit. I hadn't thought there were places to go to outside the gates since the nearest town is a 4 hour drive from here. But whatever they were going to do I felt like it was against their orders.
I didn't care because I needed the slow walk to the dorms.
It was getting dark and the temperature was dropping fast, making it uncomfortable since it was already so chilly during the Autumn day. And I was using the lights from the different rooms on the way as a guideline.
I passed a particular window and froze at the chilling familiar voice… or should I say voices.
"Good Evening Jude, I trust you have been well?" Hades voice came through the high window, clear as day.
My steps halted and without me comprehending what was going on, my feet quietly took a step back so my back would lean against the wall.
It felt wrong to be eavesdropping but my gut insisted on hearing what Hades and my father were going to speak about, and my suspicion could be put at ease of what Hades would tell my father about my 'progress' so to speak.
"I'd be better if my daughter were married and I'd have a strong empire at hand, yet she is still in your school… do tell, why is it taking so long for her to break Hades?" My father growled over the speaker phone.
"It has only been 3 months now Jude, you have little confidence in your daughters stamina. Besides my resources can't be solely on one student here, the state have their own requests too."
A loud vicious cough came from the other side of the phone, the cough didn't sound like something minor and my heart squeezed in discomfort slightly.
"I want your sole priority to be on my daughter, if it were to mean that I would have to pay extra so be it." my father wheezed.
My fists balled up at hearing my father's cruel request and I needed to so desperately punch something. My angry thoughts were put to a halt when Hades spoke up.
"I am not one to reject the kind offer Jude but it sounds as if you could make better use of your money and go see someone about that cough there." Hades said calmly as he usually does.
"Hades I will ruin you and I know you can't afford that." My father growled.
Principal Hades sighed indicating he had given up "And I know you can't afford to keep your daughter here Jude, but because of our past I'll let your little threat slide and try my utmost to help you out."
There was a long pause before my father spoke again "Be sure you do."
The sound of phones disconnection chimed and my feet took off to my dorms, before Hades could hear my sobs I tried to hold in so desperately.
I knew my father was a cruel person to others and focused on his goals, but at what cost? He is actually willing to pay extra money so the school can torture me so I would give up?!
I couldn't decide if my heart felt like it was being stomped and kicked on or if it was being stabbed a hundred times over.
I ran by the buildings that had my classes and knew if I went into the alley between there and the mess hall I could have a moment to cry before any of the teachers could catch me.
I turned the corner, I was near my breaking point ready to let lose the tears I have been saving for this moment.
Man, how quickly plans can be ruined.
When I turned the corner, someone was already in the alley. I couldn't see clearly who it was but there was a small flicker of a flame that gave him away, following the familiar concerning voice.
"Luce? Is that you?" Natsu asked killing the small flame he had made on top of the sand.
A tear slipped onto my face and Natsu's was visible. His face was stained with worry and showed hurt, was it there before I came?
Before I knew it I was sobbing and probably looked like a mess. I threw my hands onto my face to block the ugly crying from Natsu.
Without hesitation I felt his arms wrap around me and pull me to his chest. The comfort made me cry harder. I hadn't meant to do it but being in his arms made me feel safer in this hell of a school.
His other arm secured me in a hug and my own hands gripped onto his shirt, he was so warm against the harsh cold of the October winds.
I finally felt like my tears were drying up and my grasp of Natsu loosened. Once I did, he took a step back to look at my face with so much pain evident on his own.
"Natsu?" I was about to ask him if he was okay but he spoke up before I could ask.
"Who upset you like this Luce?" He asked in such a pleading voice.
I felt sick rethinking what I heard and I motioned to the floor so we could both sit and I could tell him what happened.
Once we sat I looked to the ground and started to retell what had happened by Hades office.
I couldn't look at his reactions of how awful my father sounded in fear that it might set me off again, and once I finished I could hear his shaky breath and the gritting of his teeth.
"I can't believe it… is there no way we can call somebody to protect you from him? Get you out of here?" he sounded so sad suggesting the ideas.
I shook my head "How exactly could we? And I can't just leave you guys now! It's like you said, 'We're in this together'. I can't leave you guys in here." I almost yelled.
I looked to him and his expression was so pained and conflicted, he really did wear his heart on his sleeve…
I hadn't expected him to sound so harsh the next second "Luce I know what I said but… there is a reason why the rest of us are in here. If we weren't here, where do you think we would be?"
Anger boiled inside me and I couldn't stop the words from coming out "I know you guys and I know for a fact that no one, especially you guys don't deserve to be in here."
Natsu looked so sad now when I spoke and his eyes flickered to mine briefly "Sure no one deserves to be in here, but Luce you did nothing to be admitted into here. That's the difference, the truth of the matter is that all of us were caught by policemen and were judged in court. You were just thrown in here without a fair fight"
His words were true and I couldn't argue with him.
My silence was filled by Natsu voice again "It makes me so happy though that you don't think of me for what I really am. It makes me believe I can be out in the world again and not moping around after a shadow."
My eyes couldn't leave his face, it was so rare to see Natsu like this, so full of emotion. He looked like he had so much to unload off his mind and I couldn't bring myself to stop him talking about his life.
"Natsu, why were you here before I came?" I couldn't help my curiosity, I wanted to know more.
He smiled sadly and looked a bit guilty "Remembering my dad today made me sad I guess… and hold habits don't die so I was just making a small fire" he chuckled rubbing the back of his neck in nervousness.
My heart sank for him and it plummeted when he spoke again "Guess today is national Crappy Dad day" he joked.
She sighed and rested my head onto his shoulder "Yeah I guess it is… I'm sorry Natsu" I whispered.
Natsu leaned his head on mine "I'm sorry too Luce." He whispered back.
He raised his head and got up extending his hand for me to grab it. When I did, he gave me a warm smile and reassuring words.
"I guess the only thing we can do is to replace Crappy Dad day with Natsu and Lucy bonding day"
My heart swelled with happiness and I nodded at his suggestion.
"Today is also the day we make it harder for Hades to drive you out of here." He added
I lifted my brow at him sceptically "And how do you propose we do that?"
He grinned "Well we got 7 out of 9 people from confessionals in our rag tag group so let's complete it and make an unstoppable support group! I'm not a fan of the metal brain being part of it, but I kinda know the jerk and he needs serious help."
I was shocked hearing the last part and was about to ask him about it but he cut my thoughts short.
"Oh Jeez you haven't eaten yet right? There's still fifteen minutes left so hurry."
I didn't want to argue plus if we waited any longer we would be caught by some dictator. So I nodded and walked to the end of the alley and turned to Natsu with the most genuine smile I could muster.
"Thank you Natsu, see you tomorrow." I waved.
That boy sure knew how make a girl smile
