Descent into the Depths of the Earth (or at Least Milwaukee): (Stranger Things, pre-Steddie) This is my baby, by far. It started off as a little idea - "haha what if Eddie and Steve took the Party to GenCon?" - and spun off into a whole Thing™. It's equal parts silly slice of life and blossoming Steddie, with the most devious cliffhanger ending I think I've ever done. >:)

To Find a King: (Stranger Things, Steddie) ...which leads us into the sequel to Descent! Centered around Steve and Eddie's respective breakdowns after Descent's ending, with generous portions of platonic Stobin, queer solidarity, and cameos from basically the entire core cast at this point. So much more indulgent and I'm still iffy on the smut (it's necessary, I just don't think I'm great at writing smut), but I love it with my whole heart.

Sunrise Serenade: (Psych, Shassie) As you can tell, I'm a bit of a sucker for a "so what is this?" conversation, and this follow-up to my "sort of getting together" fic In the Mood is chock full of it. Navigating the treacherous waters of dancing and sleeping (just sleeping) with your very attractive, very annoying sort-of-coworker and the morning-after talk over inexplicable waffles - anxiety and sweetness all bundled up together.

Magical Mysteries Never Give a Single Thing Back: (Stranger Things, Eddie Munson) The only active WIP on this list - the idea was rumbling around in my head for ages, and I finally banged out part 1 in a WIP Wednesday-inspired fugue state. I'm a sucker for adding magical elements to a more 'normal' or sci-fi world, and this really tickled the not-so-former Supernatural girlie in my heart. Part 2 coming soon!

My Bloody Valentine: (Power Rangers Mystic Force, Nick/Maddie, Chip/Maddie, Nick/Xander) This one's partially a stand-in for my still-unpublished rewrite of the entire Mystic Force series, but I also have a soft spot for this absolute weirdo outlier in my oeuvre. I don't write a ton of crack, and this is crack I wrote when I was 17-18-ish, with mild edits when I reposted on AO3 a few years back. I probably need to give it a real overhaul, because I'm just so in love with Nick being a huge shithead, Leanbow being clueless, and the wildly different vibes.

No pressure tags because I'm not even sure I remember who on here writes (or does fanart, this could probably be adapted to fanart) AND does tag games, but here we go: @eriquin @patchworkgargoyle @horsegirleddiemunson and okay yeah whoever else reads this far, the curse is upon you now!

"steve harrington isn't straight. it's been a few weeks since he sat on that bathroom floor at starcourt with robin, where she shared her biggest secret with him and unintentionally unlocked an entirely new side of steve. since he’s had to come to terms with being open to exploring that side of him, but he's finally acknowledged that he's most likely, definitely, without a doubt into guys." -- after coming to terms that he may be queer, steve harrington does a little exploration on his own and meets the one and only eddie munson. just as things are going well and accepted the fact he's falling for eddie in their own little bubble, steve's world is shaken by a tragedy he can't quite talk about. and when the dust settles and he's nearly ready to put the pieces back together, his worlds collide when he realizes his eddie is the same eddie playing d&d with the kids. the same eddie who's now wanted for murder thanks to another upside down monster. how will he save the day when he can barely focus watching his ex mingle with his monster fighting team?

🔪 ⇢ what’s the weirdest topic you researched for a writing project? uhhh, i don't know that i've ever researched anything SUPER weird, but for taste your beating heart i did research into the believed magical properties of different flowers and stages of the moon. that's not something i personally, as someone who doesn't even buy into zodiac signs as anything more than fun nonsense to read with friends, would have ever researched but i went pretty deep to get that info.

🎨 ⇢ link your favourite piece of fanart and explain why you like it here's a random deepcut: i LOVE this hamlet piece from @binary-bird that's set post-canon as horatio's haunted by the ghost of hamlet and set to the lyrics of tranquilize by finish ticket. i have reblogged this piece SO MANY times and i will continue to do so—something about inversing the traditional black-and-white of the comics so that the panels are flooded in black and the characters/text is in white feels v apt for a ghostly apparition. also it's just??? so appropriate for horatio to be haunted by the ghost of hamlet, when the play is full of ghosts (and questions as to if the ghosts in question are real! is hamlet truly haunted by his father? is he going mad? is he using it as an excuse to avenge his father's memory? in this new scenario: is horatio truly being haunted by hamlet, or does he just miss hamlet SO MUCH that he's imagining his vision coming to him?) i love it

2023 in review

Just the fannish creations, thanks. I don't want to think too hard about how fucking weird and stressful the year was outside of that. XD

I found some old 00Q art hiding on my hard drive and posted it in Feb.

I wrote a short Inception ficlet for @ladyprydian in April to try to jumpstart my muses. It didn't work.

I binge-wrote a whole-ass Sandman fic with (gasp!) fade-to-black porn in it in May.

July brought the Stony games! I was much less prolific than last year, but I managed a few things, starting with 3 little drabbles about perception.

I did a giftfic for the games! It starts in media res and I, being a troll, titled it In Pornia Res because yeah, this one's just pure porn against a background of worldbuilding.

I posted a longstanding WIP that was 100% self-indulgent trash, with Tony and Steve getting Bucky as their new sugar baby and treating him them right. Absolutely just the fluffiest of trash, but 66K of it!

I posted another longstanding WIP that's really pre-slash (I KNOW so weird) but involves catboy Tony, catboy Bucky, and a puppy Steve who's gonna get both (after the fic anyway).

My last little Stony Games fill was 8-bit pixel porn, because of course it was.

Later in August I did the "write what you want to see" thing and banged out (heh) a very kinky Stranger Things fic with Steve/Eddie and a leather bar. Somehow, it's still extremely fluffy.

I drew! Fanart! With pens and shit! Also Steve/Eddie.

And then I made pixel art of them, because why not.

Another Steddie fic, this time a modern AU with 'lost touch' feelings and also banging the rockstar in his hotel room.

And finally, my MTH2021 fic is posting a year late, and will continue on into the new year. It's all done and edited, I just like the daily posting method for getting drip-fed dopamine and also sitting there posting 29 chapters at once is no bueno.

What's Coming in 2024 (besides my blorbos)

I have a few more Stuckony WIPs waiting in the wings, including my MTH 2022 fic, which I hope to finish in time to actually participate in 2024.

I have at least 1 novel coming out and maybe 2? I didn't publish ANY original fiction last year (gah), but I finished 1 draft (the sequel to Hive) and am plodding along on 2 more (Julian 4 and something new). I am so slow these days, tho, gah. I have no idea how some people put out multiple books a year, year after year.

I've got a few more Eeveeon arts to share, which I always forget to do on Tumbls.

I might actually open commissions next year (for art, I don't enjoy fic commissions).

I'm gonna a Stuckony Valentine thing, so you'll get at least one short fic from me in Feb.

I'm hoping something new will sweep me into its fandomy arms, because while I do love my current blorbos (MCU & Stranger Things), neither one is really doing the full fixation dance in my brain and that's sad. OTOH I'd like to finish my MCU WIPs before that spark fully dies ahahaha haha ha.

As far as art goes, I'm keeping up my Patreon sketch cards and not a ton else, but my new-new meds are helping me Get Shit Done, so I'm really hoping that I can get back into larger-than-a-playing-card artwork, both fannish and non.

I'm still gonna do more of my 8-bit bullshit, though.

Not sure if this is something anyone would be interested in, but I was thinking of writing fanfiction collaboratively with someone, maybe where we just collaboratively write chapters together, maybe where we switch perspectives back and forth and each write a characters perspective, maybe where one of us mainly writes one fic and the other edits and then do that the opposite way on a separate fic.

I'm not really stuck on any of those options and if you have a different idea I'd be down to explore that, I just honestly I think want to try working with others, I think it'd be fun.

*should be noted, I never read the books when I was younger so my main understanding of the fandom comes from mutuals and watching the new show. I'm perfectly willing to look up generalized plotlines or even read ahead in the books themselves (I can usually read a book in 1-2 days), but like while I enjoy this fandom, and I'd like to explore this fandom, if you're a long time fan full up front, you probably know more about this fandom than me*

sex scenes (not against writing them but I am the kind of ace that sucks at writing smut, so if you're good at it, awesome, would welcome the help)

Heavy action (I can write a little bit of action but long, drawn out fight scenes? Knowing where everyone is and keeping track of all that? My worst nightmare)

Setting Descriptions (I have aphantasia (can't visualize things in my head) so to me all stories exist in a black vacuum with just the characters in it and only relevant objects, so if you're better at creating descriptions of things around the characters and settings, then yeah we might work well together)

Fluff, I can write it, but I'm not great at coming up with fluff. I'm much much more a hurt/comfort guy

A Couple Of My Hard No's

I don't write noncon or underage unless it's specifically addressing a character's trauma or abuse, and even then I prefer less show more tell. If you want to explore a character's trauma dealing with experiencing and healing from either of those, I'm ok with that, but I won't ever write it in a positive manner.

Permanent main character death unless already such in canon (I can write hurt/no comfort but at the end of the day they're my blorbos and I just need them to live)

Permanent amnesia trope (same deal as above, I need my blorbos to be happy or at the very least to have them at least remember each other even if they're in pain)

I think that sums it up. These are relatively generalized guidelines, my main goal here is honestly to work with someone else creating a collaborative work together.
