You jolted up and you are starting to breathe hard. You look around and it was a dream but to you felt real. You get up from the couch and you walked towards the fridge and you grab the bottle of water, you start to drink it fast now you are breathing hard for a little bit. You sit on the couch and turn on the tv. You look at the time and it's 3:25 am. You start to remember what happened a few years ago...

You are fighting the Beast with Zeke, Kuo, And Nix. Everyone is giving it their all and everyone is badly injured but won't back down.

“We have to use The Ray Field Inhibitor,” You said.

“We only have one chance to use it, we can't fuck this up,” Zeke said.

You take out the RFI, You and Zeke come up with a plan on how to use it. Before fighting the Beast, half of the city was infected by the plague. You and Kuo keep fighting the beast, you are using your powers Electrokinesis to attack but it doesn't do many effects on him. Then Zeke and Nix used the RFI on the beast but it wasn't fully charged. But you got closer to him and charged the RFI. But something went wrong.

There was a huge explosion and you hit your head and you passed out. You fell into a coma for a few months. You wake up.

“Y/n, you woke up!” Delsin Rowe smiled.

He hugged you and you don't remember what happened. You remember him but can't remember anything else.

“What happened?” You asked.

“Dude, you were in a coma for five months. You were fighting the beast and there was an explosion... Zeke, Zuko, and Nix died. You survived somehow but they didn't. I have been coming every day to see if you were going to wake up or not” Delsin Rowe said.

Delsin Rowe is a close friend of yours. He has parkour Skills and he is into graffiti and he taught you how to do parkour. He has powers like you but his ability is absorption and has superhuman abilities. Also, he is a vigilante like you.

“I-I...”

“It has been hard but I'm glad I didn't lose you,” Delsin said.

You didn't know what to say and you felt guilt take over you. You are starting to believe everything is your fault.

Flashback Ends...

Since what happened in the past, you left the city and didn't tell Delsin where you went. You laid low for many years, you changed your last name but kept your first name. You don't use your powers to save people anymore. You lived in many different cities than you settled down in National City.

You live in the basement of a comic book store and the owner Stan Lee, is like a father to you. He let you live in the comic book store, he did offer you to live with him and his wife but you didn't want to be a burden to them. You would help him in the comic book store and he does know about your past and your power.

You open the shop and you start to get everything ready. You start to clean the windows and glass doors. While sitting by their cashier then Stan walks in and he got you breakfast.

“Thanks, I was getting tired of eating cereal,” You said.

He got you a hot breakfast and hot coffee.

“I figured you would want this one” Stan said.

You and Stan start to eat breakfast and just talk.

“Thank you” You smiled.

“Y/n, you should start dating again. You should get out there” Stan said.

“I don't know. I don't think I would be anyone’s match” You said.

“Y/n, you have to give it a chance. At first, would be bad but later on, it would get better” Stan said.

“I will think about it,” You said.

Stan wants you to be happy and start dating, but you doubt yourself and start to think negatively about yourself. After breakfast, he told you to restock the comic books on the shelves.

“Hi... Do you work here?” She tapped your shoulder.

You turned around and you smiled at her.

“Hi” You smiled.

“Hi. And I asked if you work here. And you do because I see your name tag y/n” She said.

“Yeah, I work where. How I can help you?” You said.

“I’m Sam. looking for a wonder woman action figure. I got a picture, I'm looking for this action figure” Sam said.

She takes out the phone and showed you the action figure, she is looking for.

“Yes, we have that one. Give me a minute and I will go find it for you in the back” You said.

She touched your arm “y/n, you are a lifesaver, thank you”

You smiled and you go to the back room. A few minutes later, you come back with the action figure and she smiled at you. You wanted to ask her out but you didn't and she left the store after paying.

“You should have asked her out on a date,” Stan said.

“What?” You said.

“I saw the way you looked at her. You could have asked her out for a cup of coffee” Stan said.

“Oh. She would have said no” You said.

“You are a good person, you need to start seeing that,” Stan said.

Sam and Lena have been working late hours, Lena is ready to go home. She went to check on her girlfriend Sam.

“I’m craving something sweet,” Lena said.

“Me too. I know this small place and make great macaron” Sam said.

Lena kissed Sam on the lips.

“Oh, we should go and try it” Lena smiled.

They smiled at each other and they leave L Corp together. They hold hands and walk to the pastry shop down the block. Their work schedule has been hectic for weeks.

Sam and Lena didn't notice the thug following them. You walked out of the store while back to the comic book shop, you noticed a thug trying to rob two women, and you recognized Sam. You start to think quickly. You put on the baseball cap and the sunglasses and bandana.

“Hurry up! Give me your wallets!” He demands.

“Don’t hurt us. Here take it” Lena said.

“Let them go,” You said.

“Who the fuck are you?!” He yelled.

You used your power to get the gun out of his hand. Then you start to punch him in the face and the stomach and he fell to the ground.

“Are you okay?” You asked.

“Y-yes, we are okay,” Sam said.

You hear the cop sirens before Sam or Lena can say anything, you disappeared before the food arrived.

Days Later, you have saved them from being robbed you suddenly you felt different. You did save other people and you started to feel like a vigilante. The news media have been talking about you, some support you and others don't support you. You don't have a suit, you wear a mask to hide your face and leather gloves so you won't leave fingerprints anywhere.

Sam and Lena have been keeping up with the vigilante online mostly. Some people would talk about you and others come up with conspiracy theories. They asked Kara to help them find you and it's not easy, because you don't go out every night to save people.

Lena and Sam were on a date while holding hands and walking, they heard a loud sound in the alley. You are lying on the ground but you are passed out and they recognized you.

“Let's take him back to your lab,” Sam said.

“We will. Just hope those wounds are not life or death situations” Lena said.

It wasn't easy for them to take you to the lab. Lena and Sam did start to clean your wounds and they took the bandana off your face, so you can breathe properly. Twenty-five minutes later, you opened your eyes. You have no idea where you are and your body is in pain. You sat up and look around.

“You are awake,” Lena said

“Who are you?” You asked.

“I’m Lena Luthor and we found you in the alley. You fell off a roof and you passed out, I'm surprised you are awake now” Lena said.

“Oh I remember you from the comic book store,” You said to Sam.

Sam walks in

“I remember you too. Your name is, y/n?” Sam said.

“Yes, that is my name. Thank you both for helping me” You said.

“When you first saved us, you didn't let us thank you. So, thank you y/n” Sam said.

“You can rest here and you will need it. Lay low for a while” Lena said.

“I will try,” You said.

You did stay and you got to know Lena and Sam. You told them about your powers and that you live in a comic book store in the basement.

“Why do you live in a basement?” Sam asked.

“I like it there. Plus, I help Stan who is the owner with anything he needs, sometimes he brings me hot meals” You said.

“Oh that’s nice,” Lena said.

You thought you wouldn't see Lena or Sam anymore, but you're wrong. You did see them often when you weren't too busy. Stan is happy that you are meeting new people and going out. Sometimes you would help Lena and her friends save people. Lena and Sam do like spending time with you and you did show the basement where you sleep. You did clean up before they came and you introduced them to Stan.

“Is it possible to like two people at the same time?” You asked Stan.

Stan is sitting by the cashier and he is making you restock the shelves. You start to put new action figures on the shelves.

“You like Lena and Samantha?” Stan asked.

“How did you know? I didn't say their name” you said.

“I see the way you look at them. I can see you like both of them” Stan said.

“I can't pick one. I like both of them, they are smart, beautiful, and very caring” You said.

“The question is it just a crush or do you really like them. It's two different emotions” Stan said.

“Oh, I see,” You said.

Lena invited you to Kara’s apartment for game night. Sam and Lena want you to go and you said yes. You start to have fun with everyone and they are getting to know you.

Sam and Lena want to celebrate for defeating Lex and Nyxly. They invited you to the party, you are happy to see them. Stan helped you pick out a nice outfit to wear. You and Sam are sitting at the bar, just making each other laugh. Sam leans in and she kissed you.

“W-what” you stuttered.

“Oh, did I read the signs wrong?” Sam asked.

“You are dating Lena. I don't want to ruin your relationship” You said.

“You are not ruining anything. Actually, Lena and I like you as more than a friend” Sam said.

“No way” You scoffed.

Lena walked towards you and Sam, she kissed her girlfriend on the lips. Sam told Lena what just happened.

“Y/n, we do like you and we want to date you. If you are not comfortable with it then we apologize for making you uncomfortable” Lena said.

“I-I am in shock. Two hot women want to date me, wow. I do like you and Sam and I thought it would never happen” You said.

“So, y/n do you want to be our boyfriend,” Sam said.

You are still in shock “yeah, I do”

Since that night, you became their boyfriend. Some nights you would sleep at their place and Stan is in shock that you have two girlfriends. You go with Sam and Lena ice skating, everyone is having fun and Lena is holding on to the rail. You did try to go fast but you almost crashed into a kid. Lena kissed you on the lips

“Are you okay? I saw you almost crash into that kid” Lena said.

“I’m fine. Sam is ready to go home. How about you?” You said.

“Yeah, I'm ready to go home,” Lena said.

You and Lena are sitting on the bench, you have your arm around her shoulder. She has her hand on your knee, she starts to talk about Christmas plans and what she usually does with Sam during Christmas.

Days Later, you help Lena and Sam decorate the house for Christmas. You used your power to turn on the Christmas lights. You invited Stan and his wife to the Christmas party, they are happy to meet Lena and Sam.

Hey. I saw your comment about Cornelia Street possibly being Elizabeth street. Do you have a full more detailed song analysis of it being about time spent at Karlie’s place and not about time spent in the apartment Taylor rented?

I don’t have any evidence of it, it’s just purely speculation. But, there are a couple reasons why I say it’s a fun, creative possibility it’s written about (1)spending time at Karlie’s apartment on Elizabeth street in early 2014(January-March), as opposed to (2)the time at Cornelia St. (May/June 2016-early 2017(so about 6 months to one single year))

So let’s look at the first hypothetical scenario: (1) spending time at Karlie’s apartment on Elizabeth street in early 2014(January-March)

A) the simplest reason that it started out as just a fun, comical thought was “they have the same syllables!🤪” but then I was like “wait a minute...”

B) at the end of Cornelia St. there’s sounds of a storm...which could be the sound of the “perfect storm” of Clean.

C) In “...Ready for It” it talks about “let the games begin”...and in Cornelia St. it says “back when we were card sharks playing games, I thought you were leading me on.”

i. This also makes me believe RFI is also written early on. I do believe it’s a song of duality and sarcasm, as others have also speculated. The verses being her bombastic media alter ego and the chorus being her real self. AND, in the RFI chorus the original lyrics were “in the middle of the night in my dreams, that’s when I get to be with you; you’re so sweet.” —-> wildest dreams is all about dreaming of being with someone, not to mention the liner note HE ONLY SAW HER IN HIS DREAMS, so is “Sometimes I wonder when you sleep Are you ever dreaming of me?” in Delicate, which leads me to believe all 4 songs (Delicate, Wildest Dreams, ...Ready For It, and Cornelia St.) refer to the dreams about the NEW relationship. (“Every night with us is like a dream” in New Romantics also seems like a duality sarcasm song)

ii. Speaking of “NEW”!!... “Sacred new beginnings”

D.) Lyric analysis:

- “We were in the backseat Drunk on something stronger than the drinks in the bar.” Could this be the same bar in Delicate? “Dive bar on the east side where you at?”

- "I rent a place on Cornelia Street" I say casually in the car. Now I know this song in general is in first person but it could be written from Karlie’s perspective. I think Welcome To New York is written from Karlie’s perspective(“you” being Taylor and “me” being Karlie), and I think the same goes for This Is What You Came For(“she” being Taylor). I have no reason to believe the “I” in Cornelia St. isn’t Taylor...but I also have no reason to believe it isn’t Karlie.

- “We were a fresh page on the desk” resonates again like “sacred NEW beginnings.” Like a new relationship, also “page” is referenced again in NYD

- To me, “Filling in the blanks as we go” has the same echo as “we can’t make any promises now can we babe?”(Delicate) and “don’t read the last page”(New Year’s Day)—-Sidenote: I also think NYD is talking About the rebirth that resulted from “Clean”

- “As if the street lights pointed in an arrowhead leading us home.” This line is recognising the place in the song(wether it be Karlie’s apartment on elizabeth st. Or the place on Cornelia st.) as a place they both recognise as home. “Home” is also regurgitated in I Think He Knows: “I think he knows When we get all alone I’ll make myself at home And he'll want me to stay.” —— ITHK is also a song I perceive to be written early in their relationship, after Wildest Dreams. Where it’s still delicate but Taylor thinks Karlie knows Taylor is invested. “we can follow the sparks I’ll drive. so where we gonna go?” Sparks indicate newness, and I think it’s them planning Big Sur, especially since Taylor drove

- “I get mystified by how this city screams your name”, now, Karlie, as we all know, is allll over NYC career wise and billboard wise lol and, maybe the wonderful enchantment and awe of it never ends and is always amazing...but it could also be the beginning of them knowing each other, finding out this new person you’re into IS all over NYC, it IS mystifying

- “I'm so terrified of if you ever walk away.” The “walking away” is expected when they meet, in Wildest Dreams...but I think this line signifies a turning point for their commitment being more substantial. Saying the possibility of Karlie walking away is possible but terrifying

- “Windows swung right open, autumn air.” Now this fits with the 2016 timeline, and it could very well be true...or it could be an edit to make it fit more with the Joe timeline. If she were really talking about Elizabeth street, it would’ve been during winter...which, is when jackets are worn lol “Jacket 'round my shoulders is yours”

- “We bless the rains on Cornelia Street.” This makes me think of Spring time(April showers bring May flowers)...but neither 2016 or 2014 shows Spring being a season when they lived on either street. So maybe rain is metaphorical in this sense. I’m not sure how though

- “Back when we were card sharks playing games, I thought you were leading me on.” Assuming this was written about early 2014, “games” is reiterated in multiple songs, as I said before. “Baby let the games begin”(RFI), “cat and mouse for a month or two or three”(paper rings) “I’m about to play my ace”(New Romantics).

- “I packed my bags, left Cornelia Street Before you even knew I was gone.” Taylor spends time with Karlie from potentially as early as December/early January 2014 until presumably ~Jan. 27-~Feb 1st, 2014 when she returns back to the Red tour in London.

- “But then you called, showed your hand. I turned around before I hit the tunnel; Sat on the roof, you and I.” They confessed feelings and sat on Taylor’s roof together, which is reiterated in King of My Heart: “is this the end of all the endings?...all these nights we’re spending up on the roof...” Then Taylor goes back on tour, and since she’s happily in a new relationship(or stabilism to say the least), she probably pens “I Forgot that You Existed” and “Clean” about being in London on the Red tour from ~Jan. 28- ~Feb. 9, 2014 at the same time as Dianna and she didn’t even think of her.

- “You hold my hand on the street, Walk me back to that apartment. Years ago, we were just inside”- now assuming this is written in 2014 about 2014 it’d be “months” ago...and if it were written 2018 about early 2014 it’d be “years ago”

- “Sacred new beginnings That became my religion.” I think this is echoed again in Don’t Blame Me, which I think in part is about the trip to Big Sur, and about getting a new publicist.

- “I rent a place on Cornelia st. I say casually in the car.” Honestly I have no idea why the song opens AND closes with this sentence. Is the opener past tense and the closing line present tense? Is the opening line supposed to be Elizabeth at and the closing line Cornelia?? I dont know lol

NOW, let’s look at the second hypothetical scenario and say this song was (2) written in 2018 about May/June 2016-early 2017(so anywhere from about 6 months to one single year))

A) at the end of Cornelia St. there’s sounds of a storm...which could be the sound of “the storm that’s coming” in Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince

B) Lyric analysis:

- “I rent a place on Cornelia Street" I say casually in the car. I dont know why this would be said casually as if to seem cool if they were dating for two years at this point, unless it’s casually in an expected sense

- “We were a fresh page on the desk Filling in the blanks as we go.” So renting Cornelia street happened right after Tayvin ended and right as Hiddleswift started(knowing what that outcome was going to be, and knowing Joe was the ultimate long term goal from a PR perspective) so they had everything mapped out, a fresh page (“paper thin plans”(DBATC))

- “I get mystified by how this city screams your name” like I said earlier, maybe the amazement never ends or gets old

- “I'm so terrified of if you ever walk away” after so much time spent together like two years it would be terrifying if this significant person walked away

- “Windows swung right open, autumn air” this does follow the timeline of 2016

- “We bless the rains on Cornelia Street” I still think this is metaphorical because spring of 2016 also isn’t a time when they lived at Cornelia st.

- “Back when we were card sharks, playing games I thought you were leading me on” probably reminiscing on the games being played in the beginning of 2014 two years ago

- “I packed my bags, left Cornelia Street Before you even knew I was gone” i dont know why you wouldn’t tell your long term partner of two years you’re leaving the place or why they wouldn’t know, but the rental of Cornelia st ended in early 2017. Maybe it was to avoid the paps and press

- “But then you called, showed your hand I turned around before I hit the tunnel Sat on the roof, you and I.” I dont know why you wouldn’t know the hand of someone you’ve been seriously dating for two years...

- “You hold my hand on the street Walk me back to that apartment.” Taylor and Karlie didn’t have much, if any, PDA in 2018 so I’m not sure what it’s referring to here

- “Years ago we were just inside.” So heres where it makes me thing it was written about 2014. Even if this were written in 2018 about 2016 it would baaarely qualify for “years ago”, especially since moving out was early 2017

- “‘I rent a place on Cornelia st. I say casually in the car’” I still don’t know why this is repeated at the end

Blue, the Warmest Color? Or the Most Profitable Color?

Blue Is the Warmest Color is a 2013 French movie directed by Abdellatif Kechiche, which won a lot of rewards including the Palme d'Or and the FIPRESCI Prize. This is a three-hour film about the romance story of a 15-year-old high school girl, Adèle (starring Adèle Exarchopoulos) and a female artist Emma (starring Léa Seydoux). The entire story depicts carefully about Adèle’s growth from adolescence to middle age, accompanied by confusion and struggle for her sexual identity.

At the beginning of this story, Adèle was dating a boy, Thomas. Once they were dating, Adèle passed by a blue-haired girl when crossing the road. After this encounter, Adèle woke up in a dream about making love with this girl. She was confused and embarrassed by this fantasy. When her best friend Valentin, an openly gay man found her unhappy, he took her to a gay bar for fun. But later, Adèle came out and entered a lesbian bar by chance, where she met (again) and started getting to know the blue-haired girl, Emma. Adèle and Emma became friends and hung out with each other frequently. And their romance relationship confirmed by a shared kiss when picnic. A few years later, Adèle realized her dream to become a primary school teacher; Emma was preparing her art exhibition, and their relationship was not passionate like it used to be. Adèle had a sexual relationship with her male colleague Antoine because of Emma’s indifference. After this was known by Emma, she drove Adèle out of the home immediately and refused her apology. Although Adèle expressed her love for Emma again a few years later, could not recover the relationship. And Emma had formed a new family with her first love, Lise.

At the end of the film, when Adèle attended Emma’s art exhibition and saw many portraits of her own, she chose to leave quickly, which also marked the complete end of this relationship. In general, this film records the whole story of Adèle and Emma in a very delicate way, trying to present the audience with true lesbian life detail. And the goal of making the audience get involved in the real-life of the LGBTQIA community can contribute to the sympathy and understanding of them to a certain extent, which is conducive to the diversity of the media. But I critic that this film is still unable to break away from the use of lesbian love as the strategy “for creating ‘edgy’ programming and attracting a wide range of viewers” (Kohnen, 2015). And many descriptions in this film deepen the audience’s misunderstanding of the lesbian group.

Firstly, this film does a great job of recording Adèle’s life detail. For example, she always has a messy hair, she will open her mouth when sleeping, and she loves biting the bottom of the pen when she reads. When she gets lost or drunk, the film’s scene will shake and be a blur, just as seen from Adèle’s perspective. When she in the literature class, the shots keep switching to the teacher’s lecture and the students’ distraction because of the boring content. As a viewer, I can also feel that this content was very boring. The film recorded all these tiny details by using this first-person perspective technique to make Adèle just like a friend in our own life, or actually, she is ourselves. I believe to depict a character on a very personal level is a great strategy to promote the audience’s understanding. And this method also mentioned in the Goltz’s article for finding an effective term to refers to gay or lesbian in Kenyan language context, that one man focus on “there was more to him than his sexuality and that he was ‘beyond being homosexual or being a gay man’ ” and “ ‘to come out as me and not to highlight his sexuality, preferring to ‘talk about me, about my life, not about my queer life” (Goltz et al, 2016).

The tricky thing is that even though this film wants to show the real-life of lesbian, it almost becomes the most controversial lesbian movie because of the ten-minute (or even longer) lesbian sex scene. In fact, I was super embarrassed when I watch this scene because I invited all my roommates to watch this film together as a celebration of the weekend. I am not an extremely conservative person, I mean, the sex scene in this film is simply porn-level, so that we had to turn down the volume and made some jokes to cover up our embarrassment. Firstly, there was no background music in this scene, only big gasps instead and the sound of skin rubbing. Secondly, the scene boldly shows female whole body, without cover. In addition, the two actresses are very good in shape, without flaw or even pubic hair. This is the most confusing place for me. On the one hand, the director wants to present the most authentic lesbian life, which even refuses the background music at the sex scene; on the other hand, it idealizes the female body just as the male gaze, the flawless body, and the perfect shape.

Interestingly, the original author of this story, Julie Maroh expressed the same shock as me. She rated the most lacking in this film is lesbian, and aired her suspicion that there were no lesbians present onset (Romney, 2013). And “a brutal and surgical display, exuberant and cold, of so-called lesbian sex, which turned into porn” (Sciolino, 2013). Maroh replied in the interview, “everyone was giggling. Heterosexuals laugh at because they don’t understand it and find the scene ridiculous. The gay and queer people laughed because it’s not convincing, and find it ridiculous; and among the only people (who) we didn’t hear giggling were guys too busy feasting their eyes on an incarnation of their fantasies on screen” (Sciolino, 2013). When I learned that the director and both two actresses are straight, this makes more sense.

Director Kechiche labels himself as an unconditional devotee of realism. “I don’t want it to look like life,” he says of his cinema. “I want it to actually be life. Real moments of life, that's what I’m after” (Romney, 2013). But at the same time, he also admitted that his purpose is to idealize the female body (Sciolino, 2013). He explained, “Like paintings, or sculptures” (Romney, 2013). Ms. Seydoux counters the Kechiche’s use of the so-called real lesbian sex scene as an eyebrow-raising directly. When the reporter used “several unsimulated sex scenes” to ask Ms. Seydoux, she interrupted immediately, “Be careful, they are simulated. We were wearing prostheses” (Sciolino, 2013). Ms. Exarchopoulos used the word manipulation to describe the director's guidance for them. For both actresses, the filming process was horrible and indicated that they would no longer work with Kechiche (Stern, 2013).

It can be said that this film is successful in regards to cultural diversity as brand management. This movie has received a high honor, people should know it is the first film to have the Palme d'Or awarded to both the director and the (two) lead actresses (RFI, 2013). Not only that, but the film also performed not bad at the box office. It can be said that this is a work that has gained a good reputation and attracted the audience through brand management of cultural diversity. But as Kohnen mentioned, “the strategic use of LGBTQ content to signify edginess has not disappeared” (2015). Lesbian movies, especially those including so-called real lesbian sex scenes, are not only targeting the group that supports LGBTQIA and cultural diversity but also a straight (especially male) group who wants to satisfy their own sexual fantasies. Although shocked, it is important to know that Lesbian has been the most popular porn search term for porn sites (Lufkin, 2016).

So I have been thinking about whether lesbian movies are the most cost-effective thing. Due to the brand management of cultural diversity, LGBTQIA films can gain a good social reputation, because more or less they are showing/facilitating the spread of cultural diversity. On the other hand, this type of film caters to the Queer Market, as we mentioned the homonormativity, “depoliticized gay culture anchored in domesticity and consumption” (Duggan, 2002). In addition, a large number of heterosexual groups who want to satisfy their sexual fantasies/curiousness are attracted to the cinema.

The toughest point is that, as mentioned above, the director's purpose is to idealize the female body. And the two actresses clarified their heterosexual identity immediately after the processing of the film. Everyone has made a profit from this lesbian-themed film, but everyone is trying to getting rid of any suspicious of homosexuality identity after making a profit.

As an Asian (I used to believe myself as) straight woman, I have to admit that this film started to make me doubt my own sexual orientation. When I was watching this film, I would involuntarily introduce myself to Adèle’s role, and I found Emma to be a very charming woman. In the film, Emma's hair is blue in the first half and light brown in the second half of the film. The blue hair period is the sweetest time for her and Adèle. I think that Emma was really attractive at that time. And the second half with the light brown hair is the period that her relationship with Adèle is about to burst. I think this is why the film's name is Blue Is The Warmest Color. In fact, in the original comics, all the scenes are black and white, except that Emma's hair is blue, and the intuitive contrast that comic can present can more express this theme.

I have always lived in a heterosexual culture community. The heteronormative in Asian culture is more ingrained than Western culture, so I never thought about my sexual orientation. It’s like I also cannot figure out the sexual orientation of Adèle. She did not show any love for women other than Emma, and she had an affair with a man, not a woman. By watching this film, I am rethinking whether it is a wise choice to define sexual orientation based on gender. I love a person because of the gender of that person, or because that person is that person.

In general, I would think this film is a good movie, especially from the contribution that made me rethink my own identity. But when I know more about the story behind this film, the harder it is for me to evaluate it from the work itself. Everything became complicated when lesbian-themed movies/televisions connect with cultural diversity brand management, homonormativity, Queer Market, and even male sexual fantasy.

Did you ever watched Sailor Moon? I did when I was a child, & Sailor Moon is first thing that pops in my head when I hear "animae." I wanted to be like Tuxedo Mask. As I got older & started to understand more, the show was kinda creepy if you think about it, bc the main character Sailor Moon was around 14 yrs old & her love interest was I think well over 14. Is RFI video based on animae?

I’ve never watched a second of anime or anything of the sort. I vaguely remember Power Rangers and Voltron as a kid, but the toys were too expensive and hard to get. As I’ve said, there were times where people would meet me and expected a comic book or anime geek, but I was a rock and roll, sports and journalism geek.

Hey guys! I started a comic that’s dnd based, called Roll For Initiative (real creative Ik but I suck at namin things so this was the best I could do 😭)

So far I have finished the first chapter and posted it on deviant art, my account name is thecreativeamerican2 if you wanna check it out there

I will be posting the comics here as well but I don’t know how likely it will be that people will see it, as I’m not a very popular tumblr blog, so if you see this and can’t find my comic chapters on my profile, you’ll at least know where to look!

I’m hoping y’all will enjoy this, I’ve worked a lot on the story line (by this I mean I daydreamed about this a lot and then turned it into the comic), so hopefully it’ll be a hit! Thank you!

Has This Boulder's Mysterious, Centuries-Old Inscription Finally Been Deciphered?

Last spring, the French town of Plougastel-Daoulas hosted a puzzling competition. Whoever successfully translated the mysterious text inscribed on a three-foot-tall boulder found on the commune’s shores would win €2,000, or roughly $2,200 USD. Previous attempts to transcribe the rock’s message had yielded just one clear phrase: “Through these words, you will see the truth.”

Now, reports French daily Ouest-France, the jury has announced the contest’s winner—or, in this case, winners. Celtic language expert Noël René Toudic and a team made up of writer Roger Faligot and comic artist Alain Robet both submitted translations suggesting the boulder’s message is a memorial to a man who died there, inscribed by someone who cared about him. But the two interpretations differ regarding the details of how the individual died and how the inscription’s author knew him.

Toudic posits that a soldier named Grégoire Haloteau wrote the text in memory of one Serge Le Bris, who was sent out to sea during a storm. By Toudic’s translation, the stone reads, “Serge died when, with no skill at rowing, his boat was tipped over by the wind,” according to Zachary Kaiser of the Jerusalem Post. The message is signed by Haloteau and dated to May 8, 1786.

Faligot and Robet, meanwhile, think the inscription was written in anger as a response to foul play.

“He was the incarnation of courage and joie de vivre [or zest for life]. Somewhere on the island he was struck, and he is dead,” says the pair’s translation, per the Jerusalem Post.

The inscription proved challenging to translate because it appears to be written in a mix of multiple languages, most prominently Breton, a Celtic tongue that arrived in eastern France during the early medieval period. The message, which also incorporates Scandinavian-style Ø letters and reversed or upside-down French characters, would have been spelled out phonetically, Breton specialist François-Pol Castel tells RFI’s Mike Woods, as the language lacked standardized spelling during the 18th century.

The dates inscribed on the boulder correspond to the period when a nearby fort was being renovated, according to RFI.

“Maybe people working in the fort had free time to come here in the evening,” explains Michel Paugam, the town’s heritage and historical site manager. “It takes time to engrave like that, at least several days. Perhaps they set up a campfire over there, a picnic over there, and one of them worked on the inscription.”

The town’s seven-person jury received 61 submissions constituting more than 1,500 pages of material. Most submissions came from France, but contestants from the U.S., Belgium, the United Arab Emirates and Thailand also participated.

Plougastel-Daoulas may have selected two winners (the teams split the €2,000 prize), but the stone’s message isn’t completely solved yet. Mayor Dominique Cap tells Agence France-Presse that roughly one-fifth of the inscription remains undeciphered.

“There is still a way to go to solve the mystery completely,” he says, per a translation by Connexion France.

For now, the boulder remains embedded among other rocks at the base of a cliff near Plougastel-Daoulas’ shore. Only the inscriptions, which include a ship and a sacred heart, set it apart from the rest. Moving forward, locals plan to search historical records for signs of a Serge Le Bris and Grégoire Haloteau, in addition to making the boulder more accessible to visitors and experts alike.
