Ready As I’ll Ever Be -- Jason Todd x Reader, Platonic!Roy Harper x Reader

Let me clarify one thing, this story endgame is still Jason Todd x reader. Everything up until this point has been leading up to the actual plot. Surprisingly, this story actually has a plot. Given it’s a complicated one, but the plot is still there!

Just...keep that in mind when reading this.

The chance of you running into a person who looked nearly identical to Jason Todd was a one in a trillion chance. You know, you had Googled it as soon as you had gotten away from the guy you’d met nearly two weeks ago in the hallway on your way to your self-defense class.

His name was Tadd Massey, as he had introduced himself to you once he had helped you to your feet. His black hair didn’t have the telltale white streak that Jason’s had, and his blue eyes held a kinder light to them than the vigilante’s. The man also had a calm disposition and, as far as you were aware, no superhero affiliations.

The only things that this stranger shared with your soulmate was his general looks and persistent nature.

“Hello again,” Tadd smiled as he fell into step beside you. “It feels like I haven’t seen you around much lately.”

You chuckled nervously. “Really? I hadn’t noticed.”

“Has anyone ever told you that you’re a terrible liar?”

“On occasion, yes.”

The man let out a loud laugh at your comment. You couldn’t help but notice that his eyes lit up the same way Jason’s did when he laughed. Immediately, you pushed that thought as far to the back of your mind as possible. As much as Tadd resembled him, he was not Jason and it wasn’t fair to him to compare them.

“So,” Tadd started as the two of you finally reached your floor, “care to explain why you’ve been avoiding me?”

“Care to explain why you’ve noticed me avoiding you? I’m sure there are plenty of other women you could interact with. More friendly, interesting women.”

“None of them are quite what I’m looking for.”

You snorted at that comment. Reaching into your pocket, you pulled your keys from it and picked out the correct one. “And what exactly are you looking for in a woman?”

“You.”

That made you almost drop your keys.

It wasn’t that you weren’t flattered, far from it. You felt a deep blush fill your cheeks as you refocused on unlocking your door and ignoring the burning sensation on your face.

“That was rather bold of you.”

Out of the corner of your eye, you saw the dark-haired man shrug. “I’m pretty straight-forward when I’m interested in a woman.”

“I’m not exactly what you’re looking for, no matter what you think.”

“Shouldn’t I be the judge of that?” Tadd leaned against the wall and looked into your eyes. “Why do you keep pushing me away?”

“I have my reasons.”

“Rumor has it that you just went through a pretty intense break up.”

You scowled. “You’ve been talking to Mrs. Jennings.”

“Guilty as charged.” Tadd held his hands up in surrender. “You left me little choice since you insist on making sure we never talk to one another. What did I do to make you hate me so much?”

You debated walking into your loft and slamming the door in the man’s face. He had no right to go and invade your personal business. He had no right to single you out of all the other single women who lived in the apartment complex. He had no right to go behind your back and ask your landlady about you.

And yet, there was something about him that just drew you to him.

Tadd’s smile was seemingly always present on his face and he always had some sort of joke ready at the drop of a hat. From your own observations of him, he was polite and considerate of all those who lived here. You’d never seen him have any female visitors over. Not that you were keeping tabs on him. It was just obvious that your neighbor was a bit of an introvert when it came to interacting with others.

Well, except for you.

“Don’t worry, I don’t hate you.” You finally decided to say, turning to face the man. A sheepish smile graced your lips. “Mrs. Jennings wasn’t lying when she said that I’d gone through a nasty break up. I guess I’m still dealing with that.”

The blue-eyed man nodded in understanding. “I get that. I’ve been going through the same kind of stuff. I guess that’s why I’m so intent on getting to know you. Birds of a feather, right?”

“Yeah, I guess you’re right.” You chuckled.

“Tell you what, let me make up my stalker-esque behavior. How about coffee with me?”

You raised an eyebrow at his brazenness. “Like, right now?”

“No time like the present!”

A small, paranoid part of you questioned Tadd’s immediate interest in you. He seemed like a nice enough guy, but looks could be deceiving. Then again, after the events you’d been through recently it was no wonder you were questioning someone’s interest in you. Having the one person you were destined to be with leave you had left you emotionally raw. Who would blame you for turning down this man’s friendly offer?

“I could go for a coffee.” You smiled warmly. “It’d be nice not to spend the evening all by myself for once.”

“Fantastic! I know of this great local shop just around the corner.”

“Let me put my things in my apartment and we can go.”

Tadd nodded his head in acknowledgement. He waited as you hurried into your apartment. You had just placed your workbag down when your phone vibrated. A quick glance confirmed your suspicion as to who it was.

You make it home alright?

Your fingers flew across the screen quickly. Yeah. I’m headed to go get some coffee with a guy who lives in the complex.

Wait, really? Roy shot back. You sure you’re ready?

No time like the present, right? I can at least give dating a try.

Stay safe then. And let me know how everything goes and when you get home.

Yes mom. You typed back then shoved your phone into your pocket.

Tadd pushed himself from where he had been leaning against the wall. “You ready?”

“Ready as I’ll ever be. Lead the way.”

A/N: And by very very VERY popular demand, I give you Roy Harper! I really really REALLY loved the storyline for this one so I really hope you enjoy it!

You and Roy were introduced through Jason

You were with Jason and Starfire when you went to rescue Roy from Qurac

And together, the four of you formed the Outlaws

Your and Roy's relationship had been through thick and thin

You went from Jason's mutual friends

To plain acquaintances

To friends but you weren't close enough to nag or judge him for his terrible life decisions

To friends but you could nag him, but you still had boundaries

To friends who could literally be considered as married

Like legit those weird friends that could go to the bathroom while the other one would be showering

The type of friends that would cuddle with each other

Or sleep in the same bed because they feel lonely

Or hold each other because they just needed to be held

Or kiss and make out and have sex

Those kinds of friends

But even though your friendship was built over a volcano that could erupt any second

You still had a strong foundation

And you had been through a lot of shit together

Even though Jason was the one that introduced the both of you

You ended up being closer to Roy than Jason ever dreamed of getting with you

So much so that Jason calls him your Royfriend

Remember how I said your relationship was a volcano just waiting to explode and kill several neighbouring towns?

Well, that explosion came in the form of Jade Nguyen

Or Cheshire

Or the mother of Roy's child

What the fuck?

So, while you were seeking comfort and intimacy and security in Roy

He had been doing the same with Jade

And they had a daughter together

Even though you both weren't official

It broke your heart, and you were devastated

You couldn't bear to watch Roy with his daughter after Jade left her to him

It was too painful to think that you didn't mean as much to him as he did to you

So, you told Jason that you were quitting

And one night you took off

Without telling Roy anything

When he found out, he'll admit he was a little blindsided

But he couldn't blame you

He had known he was the bad guy in this situation

Because he knew about your feelings toward him

And to be honest, he might have felt the same way

But he was afraid to fall for someone

The intensity of his feelings scared him

Everything in his life always went so wrong

And things with you were so good the way they were

Sleeping with Jade was something he didn't expect

It was stupid and it was a mistake

And he did regret it happening at all

But regardless, he had a daughter

And he chose to love her dearly, to raise her well and healthy

Unlike the way he grew up

He wanted to find you and apologize

To get on his knees and beg for forgiveness

But he knew that you deserved better than that

I mean, really

What was he expecting?

That he'd find you and ask to raise someone else's child along with him?

The same person who he slept with despite having feelings for you?

You deserved way better than that

And that's what you believed too while you tried to forget what Roy's kisses felt like

How safe and loved you felt in his arms

How if you forgot the world for a second, you actually felt happy with him

But it was all fake, it wasn't real

Because you were the only one who felt that way

You were either a burden to him, or he was using you

And you didn't want to spend one more moment lamenting over him

And that's exactly what you plan to do

Until one day someone appears at your apartment

"Hi, can I help you?"

"Hey, mom."

"Um, wrong number."

You replied immediately before you slammed the door in her face

The knocking on the door and the ringing of the bell persisted until you opened the door again

"Okay that was a stupid opening, alright. I mean it was super sentimental and wholesome from my side. But it might have been super confusing and weird on your end."

"I'm this close to closing the door again."

"Let me introduce myself. I'm Lian Harper."

You outright laughed at her standing so confidently in front of you, pretending to be your friend's daughter like she didn't know Lian was still an infant

"Yeah, because you're definitely an infant who can't stand let alone get across the country."

"I'm Lian Harper. From 12 years in the future." She said, fishing for something in her pocket and for a second you thought it was a gun before she revealed a ring

You stopped in your tracks

That ring...

It was a family heirloom that you inherited

You glared at her, snatching the ring from her hands

"Stay. Right. Here!"

You went to check where you had hidden the ring

And there it was right where you had left it

Identical to the scratches that were left on the surface from when you used to wear it out in the field

Which meant that she was really from the future

Or had amazing forgery skills

When you opened the door again, she was smiling expectantly at you

"I don't know what the hell you want from me, but I suggest you get lost before I make you regret it."

She frowned, "Trust issues much, mom? How much proof do you want from me?"

You leaned against the doorframe, crossing your arms, "Considering you call me mom makes me suspect that you have no idea what character you're supposed to be playing."

"Or maybe I call you mom because you raised me?"

You raised a brow at her, "What the hell are you saying?"

"Look, I don't know what's going on either. I was in a fight with one of the lanterns and I woke up 12 years in the past and I remember one of your safehouses were here, so I came here to camp out until I found something but instead found you."

She was sticking to her story very vehemently, and you were compelled to believe her

You spend the night talking, trying to wrap your head around all of this

"So, I get married to your father and raise you along with Roy, is that right?"

"Yeah."

"What about your mother?"

"Who cares about her?"

This really shouldn't have surprised you

Considering you've seen A LOT of bad parental relationships

It would have been more surprising if she said that she was in a fully functioning and healthy relationship with her mother

But still, you felt sorry for her

And to be honest, the fact that you would inevitably be put in the middle of their family issues made you uncomfortable

You didn't want to be the reason their family didn't work out

Jade, Roy and Lian deserved a chance to have a happy family

Lian was stubborn though

She kept insisting that she didn't need Jade

But she was also young

You remember thinking the same at that age

But sorting out their relationship would probably benefit her in the long run

For some reason, you felt compelled to reunite her with her mother

Or set their relationship straight from the start

So right before she falls asleep in your bed

You tell her that you both are heading for Roy's place tomorrow to sort this out and try and find out how to send her home

Before going to sleep on the couch

To say Roy was surprised when you come knocking on the door with a girl that looks like a younger Jade is an understatement

He didn't believe Lian at first

But after listening to both you and her, he conceded

The three of you were standing in his living room when you heard a cry from the baby chair where little Lian was sitting

Lian grinned brightly at her younger self

"Man, I was so cute! Enjoy this time younger me, it gets real shitty when you grow up."

"Language." Roy chastised without skipping a beat and you hid a smile at it

He was such a dad

You'll admit you had doubts

But he was really pulling himself together for the sake of his daughter

Together, the three of you try to decide how to go about getting Lian back to her own time

She tells Roy all about her life in the future

And honestly just hearing her makes him feel so happy

This whole thing caught him off guard and he was never sure if he ever even wanted to be a father

He was going through his own shit before Lian came

And he was just grasping at straws when it came to this whole father thing

But she didn't seem like she hated him

She was healthy and happy

And Roy's heart had never felt so light before

All the things that were bothering him

Like whether he'd be a good father

Or whether you'd ever forgive him and come back to him

Those things seemed to go well

And he couldn't be more grateful for it

After a while though

When Lian is preoccupied with something

You pull Roy out into the hallway

To try and convince him to somehow bring Jade back into Lian's life

And how the three of them deserved to be a family

You were honestly just trying to do what you thought was best for Lian and Roy and even Jade

You didn't want to make them uncomfortable and try and fit you in their family

After all they've been through, Roy at least deserved a good family

All you wanted was their happiness

Even if it meant at your expense

But all Roy heard was that you didn't want to be part of this family

You didn't want to be put into this uncomfortable situation

You didn't want to raise Lian along with him

You didn't want to be in a relationship with him

And why should he blame you?

He shouldn't hold it against you if you wanted to be with someone who made less mistakes than him

Who was more open than him

Who was gentler and kinder and better than him

You deserved that

"I'll try and convince Jade to stay so we can be a family."

Even though both your hearts were breaking in your chest

Little did you know a third heart was cracking right as they heard you say it

The door slammed open and there stood Lian with the most betrayed expression she could muster

Her eyes were filled with tears

"I don't want Jade to come back! She chose to leave us! This was her choice!"

"Lian, I know how you feel now but if we get Jade back then we can nip this at the bud, you three can be a family."

"I already have a family! A happy one, with you and dad! I don't want her back in my life! I don't want her to ruin the family that I have!"

"Lian....she's your mother." You tried to convince

"Why are you so fixated on that?!! Yes, she is my mother, but you were the woman I ran to whenever I needed mom!"

Your eyes clouded with tears

This whole time you thought that you shouldn't be in between them

That they deserved to be a family without you

That you were just someone that Roy and Lian would settle for in Jade's absence

But she was here, and she was telling you that she just wanted you

She had a chance to choose Jade instead

But she still wanted you

And you had a place in this family

You weren't just kidding yourself

You actually had a place that mattered and a family that loved you

"Mom, please don't leave me." She whimpered out, wiping her tears and you were crying before you knew it

You hugged her so tightly and that harsh clenching of your chest ceased

It finally felt like everything would be okay

"I won't. I won't leave you. It's okay, mommy's here." You whispered into her hair, holding onto her as tightly as you could

Roy joined into the hug when you grabbed his arm

And the three of you together in the hallway hugged each other tightly

Like it was real

Like you were a family

Eventually, Lian cried so much that she tired herself out

And Roy carried her back to bed

When he came back out, you were tending to baby Lian who was just about to fall asleep as well

And Roy just took a moment to gaze at you

With his daughter in your arms as you rocked her to sleep

And he just knew that this is what he had ever wanted

Not Jade

Just you

Eventually, she fell asleep soundly, blubbering into your shirt and you chuckled at the sight of her

It was weird, you never thought you would be able to replace Jade

And maybe you wouldn't

But you had a place with them, and you were a part of this family

"I'm so sorry, (Y/N)." Roy whispered to you, trying to keep quiet for the sake of his sleeping child

You gave him a small smile

You weren't exactly sure how you felt about this situation and about him

But you knew this was where you both wanted to be

And you were going to try hard to work this out

So, you didn't say anything and just cupped his cheek before leaning in to place a soft kiss to his lips

Lian fussed in your arms from the movement, and you pulled away to make sure she fell back into her slumber

Just as you placed her back into the crib, you reached into your pocket and handed Roy something

He gazed at the ring in his palm with a brow raised

"It was a family heirloom. I guess, it belongs to our family now." You muttered, blushing furiously when you saw the smile on his face.

"Apparently you propose with this ring so I'm just going to tell you to hold onto it."

Roy gave you a look that was halfway between a smirk and a smile

"(Y/N) (L/N), are you proposing to me right now."

You mirrored the smile, "Roy Harper, I'm asking you to make me (Y/N) Harper."

He grinned brightly at you, leaning in to kiss you passionately

You heard a noise at the door

When you pulled away, Lian was standing at the door, smiling widely

"That was so romantic you guys! I can't believe I was actually here to witness the proposal!"

You scoffed before pointing at the snoozing babe in the corner of the room, "You are here."

Lian scoffed right back, and Roy chuckled, noticing the resemblance between the both of you

"She's so useless. Sleeping at a time like this."

"Hey, that's my daughter you're talking about."

If you noticed the giant smile on Roy's face after hearing that, you didn't say anything

Jason Todd x Reader - Time - Finale

Part One , Two , Three , Finale

- You had been seeing Jason a lot recently. Just as friends.

- Though both of you wanted more, you were both just to awkward to make the first move.

- It was a really rainy night and you hadn’t been able to sleep. Your apartment was on the top floor and never felt completely safe on stormy nights.

- Instead you were sitting on your sofa and drinking green tea, going through Tim’s Netflix on your TV.

- When you had rich friends, you used them for free Netflix.

- Jason was bleeding and probably going to die.

- He had been in a pretty bad fight and Tim was on his way to get him.

- There wasn’t a chance he was going to get there on time. Tim was having to hack into his helmet and locate him as well as actually reach him.

- Jason knew a possible solution. You lived nearby and you were training to be a doctor.

- But if he went to you, he would have to explain the whole Red Hood situation.

- Then again, you were Tim and Steph’s friend, they had probably told you by accident and trying to keep it on the down low.

- Jason managed to get himself to your apartment building, luckily you were on the top floor and he could swing down to your fire escape without causing too much trouble.

- You almost screamed when Red Hood forced your window and collapsed on to the floor.

- “What the hell!” you yelled before noticing all the blood “Crap,”

- “Y/N…” Jason managed to choke out. He was struggling to breath.

- “Jay…” you froze when you heard his voice. Then you yanked the stupid helmet off and his identity was confirmed.

- You didn’t waste time demanding an explanation or freaking out. Your training kicked in and you managed to move him onto a table.

- You pulled out your home kit, it didn’t have everything you wanted but it had enough.

- After a very stressful hour, Jason was breathing normally and stitched up.

- “Hood! Where are you?” Tim’s voice buzzed from the helmet.

- You wanted to slap Tim in that moment. He had no sense of direction and if Jason had waited for him, he would have died.

- “He’s at mine.” you spoke into the helmet.

- “Y/N…bats is going to kill us…”

- “He’s alive, created a mess though.”

- “Should I come get him?”

- “No…no…he can crash here tonight.” you noticed Jason perk up slightly when you said that. He’d been completely silent, and refusing to meet your eyes.

- You put the helmet away. “So you’re Red Hood…That would make Tim…Red Robin?”

- “So you don’t hate me…?” he asked, genuinely confused.

- “Why would I hate?”

- “Because I didn’t tell you? Because I kill people? Because I’m involved in the Gotham Underworld?”

- “Almost everyone that lives in Gotham has been involved in the Underworld at some point. I had a teacher in university who became a villain instead of marking our course work.”

- “Killing people?”

- “Not my place to judge. You do what you think is right. At least you’re doing something to try and stop crime.”

- “I didn’t tell you?”

- “Sounds like you want me to hate you, I don’t. Plus, it’s a pretty big deal. You can’t just go around telling people that your Red Hood.”

- “But you aren’t people…” he whispered, hoping you wouldn’t hear.

- You did.

- “How did it start?” you asked quietly.

- “You want to know?” he sat up now.

- So many things made sense to you now. That night when he’d shown up at Steph and yours movie night. He was half naked because he had been finishing patrol.

- Why he was busy most nights

- The family matters Tim always had.

- Why Jason had travelled so much.

- “I do, what happened that made you put on a helmet and get a gun?”

- “It’s a long story…”

- “I have time…” you tried to smile at him, but he was looking at the floor. “And you can take yours.”

- “What?” his head shot up.

- “Sure, I have questions. But if you don’t want to tell me yet, you don’t have to. I’m going to be demanding why it’s taken Tim so long to tell me, but you don’t have too. I have all the time in the world and you can take that long.”

- “It’s a really long story.” he swung his legs round so he was sitting

- “You stole his tires?” you laughed “Why would you think that was a good idea?”

- “I was as street rat! I saw a nice car and didn’t put two and two together till Batman was already there” he defended

- “I went looking for my mum.” he started, this part was going to be the hardest. “She sold me out t the Joker…”

- “Jay…”

- He didn’t even try to sugar coat it. He told the story of his death in all the gruesome details. “So that’s how I died…”

- You gripped his hand, having joined him on the table. “You feel alive to me.” you leant your head on his shoulder.

- “I came back with a bone to pick, Bruce and I didn’t get on…I was pretty awful to Tim and the others.”

- “But that’s when Batman was gone briefly, when Red Hood was super big?” you remembered. “Tim disappeared for a bit…”

- “Yeah…He was lost in time. Tim was the one who figured it out. Damian became Robin and Tim went looking for Bruce, didn’t believe he was dead. Dick became Batman.”

- “So Roy and I ended up doing a lot of stuff, the number he gave up is still called every now and again.”

- “The Royfriend.” you remembered what Stephanie had called him.

- “He’s the best. Set my shower on fire once, still the best. Me and him had some stuff with the Joker’s Daughter.”

- “So you three became the outlaws…” you were trying to keep up with everything.

- “The first version of them. After we split up, I met Artemis and Bizarro.”

- “And here we are…” he finally finished.

- It had been about seven hours, and he had skipped out some details. You both had been through about three cups of coffee so far.

- “Here we are.” you agreed.

- “You want to kick me out? Zobie, killer, and asshole.”

- “At least you own it.”

- “I knew you’d hate me.” he looked to the floor for some comfort.

- You definitely didn’t hate him. Not at all.

- Whenever people asked it the future, Jason always claimed to have made the first move, you let him.

- You kissed him passionately but quickly. Pulling away to check his reaction.

- “What?” he asked, not trying to hide the smile forming.

- “I know everything now?”

- “Yeah.”

- “I definitely don’t hate you, Jason.”

- “But you don’t want this life. You can’t, it’s a nightmare, uncomfortable, messy!”

- “But I don’t want comfort. I want God, I want poetry, I want real danger, I want freedom, I want goodness. I want sin. I want you, Jason,” you quoted, thinking a book reference would mean a bit more to him.

- “Aldous Huxley…are you sure?”

- “Are you trying to talk me out of it?” you laughed at him.

- “Never.” he did make the second move at least, kissing you over and over again.

- “Well isn’t this sweet.” Tim had opened the door with his spare key, arriving to collect Jason.

- Neither of you cared though.

- For Jason, you had offered all the time in the world last night.

- He was already falling completely in love with you , and he had all the time to be with you.

Jason Todd x Reader - Time - Part 2

Part One , Two , Three , Finale

- The next time Jason saw you, it was a month later.

- Stephanie and you were using Tim’s place whilst he was away. He had the nicest TV and largest apartment out of the three of you.

- You’d ordered pizza’s and were planning on a movie marathon.

- Jason had thought Tim’s place would have been empty. He was going to crash there since Roy and he were in a fight.

- “So when is this apartment going to become your apartment?” You asked Stephanie.

- “If Tim wants me to move in, I’m sure you’ll be the first to know about it.” Steph laughed whilst filling a bowl with popcorn.

- Jason had swung through Tim’s bedroom window and pushed himself against the door.

- He thought that he wouldn’t have to see you ever again and whatever he was feeling could just disappear.

- When he heard your voice, his heart did a little jump.

- He cursed under his breath.

- Jason Peter Todd did not get crushes, at least he didn’t get crushes on girls he’d met one time.

- But it had been a very enjoyable one time.

- Nope. He was not even going to consider staying here whilst you and Stephanie were in the next room.

- He went to stealthily leave but managed to hit the bedside table. Loudly.

- “ What was that?” You exclaimed, standing up and looking around for any form of weapon.

- “Stay behind me,” for some reason Stephanie had some form of weapon already hidden in her hand.

- You decide not to question it. You lived in Gotham after all. A girl needed to have some form of protection.

- Jason cursed again, rushing to hide all the weapons and his helmet before the two of you burst in.

- Just as he was ditching the last of his red hood gear, you threw open the door and Stephanie spun a batarang at his head.

- He was half dressed but dodged it easily.

- “Not cool, Steph!” He complained.

- Stephanie relaxed and sighed in annoyance.

- “Y/N, right?” He tried to play it cool, still only half dressed.

- It took you a second to get a hold of yourself. He was hot. It wasn’t your fault. Anyone would be slightly surprised to find a half naked boy in their friends bedroom.

- “Urh…Yeah. That’s me, you’re Jason. We had a great evening at the Gala, right?”

- You had thought about that night a lot. Tim wasn’t helpful when you had asked questions about Jason, he didn’t seem to get your interest.

- Jason stood in shock. You had said that it had been a great evening. You thought he’d been great.

- You were probably just being polite. He had to think you were just being polite.

- “What are you doing here, Jay?” Steph rolled her eyes at him.

- “Could ask you the same thing.”

- “Tim’s girlfriend. I have a spare key. You just came through the window,”

- “I like to have fun,” he shrugged “I just needed a place to crash.”

- “You have a fight with your Royfriend?” Stephanie sounded extremely sincere in her concern.

- “Royfriend?” You asked awkwardly.

- “My best friend, Roy. Steph likes to think she’s clever.” Jason glared.

- “Why are you half naked?” Steph pulled out her phone to snap a picture. Jason jumped at her but she’d already sent it to the Batfamily group chat.

- “I was going to sleep,” he motioned dramatically to the bed.

- Steph knew he’d just got back from patrol and was deliberately trying to make him lie elaborately.

- “You can join us for pizza and movies, if you want.” You offered.

- “I would die for pizza about now.” Jason started pulling on his spare clothes from Tim’s closet. He’d crashed here a few times.

- “Anything worth dying for is certainly worth living for.” You quoted

- “Catch 22.” He paused to smile.

- Steph raised an eyebrow at him, she hadn’t seen him smile. Jason Todd pouted and glared.

- The pizza delivery boy knocked on the door and you ran to answer it.

- “Just on time!” You laughed as you went

- Jason bit his lip and made sure hide his face from Steph.

- He had run out of time at the Gala

- Now he had an excuse to talk to you some more.

- Now he was being given more time, he wasn’t used to taking his time before.
