Aquarium Date
Robin Buckley x fem!reader

Robin and reader visit an aquarium for a cute date. However, there's a catch.
a/n: ok so I include a shark tunnel in this but the first tunnel aquarium opened in ‘85 in australia so lets just pretend a random aquarium in indiana would also have one around this time. also this is so cheesy that it hurts me.
“Isn’t it like 10:30? Shouldn’t you be asleep by now?” Robin asks when she picks up the phone. How she knew you were calling was beyond you.
“For your information, I don’t have a curfew, Robin. I’m 18” you try your best to defend yourself but you knew she was right. You were usually asleep by now and it was odd that you weren’t. However, you’re awake because you couldn’t help but think of all the free time you and Robin were going to have now that school was out for spring break. You just had to call your girlfriend and get a jump on the spring date activities.
“Yeah but by now you’ve usually been asleep for an hour or two, right?”
“Well, I can hang up if you want. I was gonna ask if you wanted to go on a date tomorrow. But I guess you’re right, I better head off to sleep” you concede in your mini argument.
“A date? No, yeah, of course I wanna go on a date. You can stay up as long as you if you’re asking me on a date. Did you have something in mind?” Robin interrupted you, tripping over her words speaking so quickly.
“So there’s this aquarium that opened maybe a month or two ago and it’s like an hour-ish drive away and I’ve been really wanted to go. Would you care to join me?”
“Looking at a bunch of fish all day? Yeah, could be fun. I’d love to join you.”
“Great. I’ll be at your place 10. And you’re right, I should head to sleep. So goodnight, my love, I’ll see you tomorrow!”
“Sweet dreams!”
Maybe making plans as exciting as these wasn’t a good idea right before bed because now you really can’t sleep. You feel like a kid the night before their birthday. Tossing and turning in bed thinking of all the fun things you and Robin can do and see tomorrow.
Running purely on adrenaline, you wake up an hour before your alarm. You had plenty of time before you had to meet Robin so you head to a local bakery to pick up breakfast.
When picking up Robin, you love to greet her at the door so hearing a knock 30 minutes before your expected arrival time wasn’t a surprise for her.
“What did the ocean say to the shore?” you pose the question as Robin opens her front door.
“You brought breakfast?” Robin eyes the bags and juice bottles you have in your arms.
“No, silly. The ocean didn’t say anything, it just waved.” You stood at Robins front door smiling at yourself for the cheesy joke being on theme for the day. Robin watched you with a slight smile, eyebrows furrowed, appearing confused.
“D-Do you get the joke? Because like waves in the water, the ocean and then like waving? like waving ‘hi’? You get it. I think you get it and you just don’t want to admit that it’s funny” you try to wear Robin down with your explanation.
“No, no I get it. But is it really that funny?”
“Well, if you don’t think it’s funny maybe you won’t think the donuts I brought are all that funny either.” you lower the bag of donuts and hide it behind your back.
“No no wait, okay Y/N you are the funniest girlfriend anyone could’ve asked for. Now can we enjoy the delicious breakfast that you brought? Thank you also by the way, my beautiful girlfriend.” Robin tries to appease you with flattery. You lean into the doorway and press a kiss to your girlfriends lips with a smile.
“Of course, my love”
You venture off from Robin’s house only slightly later than you had wanted but it won’t impact your day.
“Hey Robin?” you lower the radio with a wry smile.
“Do you know why it takes pirates so long to learn the alphabet?”
Robin rolls her eyes with smile and plays along.
“Why?”
“Because they spend years at C!”
She shakes her head at your joke.
“I think you and Henderson would get along well”
“Why? Because we’re both awesome and funny?”
“Totally” she nods, agreeing sarcastically. “So is gonna be like an all day thing? ‘Cause you’re not gonna get me to laugh.”
“Oh yeah? You wanna bet, Buckley?”
“Ya know what? I’ll take you up on that offer. We both make these stupid jokes all day until someone breaks. Whoever breaks first has to buy ice cream later, deal?”
“You’re on.” You wink and start thinking up more jokes to get her to crack.
You knew this wasn’t going to be easy. Robin has a killer sense of humor and she also has better self control.
When you get to the aquarium, you can’t decide where to go first. You’re standing in the middle of the entrance area in awe of the signs, artwork, and colorful lights around you.
“Babe, they have something called a shark tunnel! I don’t even know what that is? Do you know what that is? I mean I like sharks but are they in the tunnel or are we in the tunnel?” Robin’s rushes over to you excitedly with a map in her hand pointing at different places.
“Oh god I have no idea what that is either and part of me is kinda scared to know.” You lock your pinky with hers as she rushes to the exhibit.
You stood in the curved hallway, mouth agape with your head whipping from side to side not knowing where to watch.
“So we’re in the tunnel?” Robin slowly makes it down the passage way, almost tripping from not taking her eyes off the passing fish.
You walk up behind Robin who practically had her face pressed against the glass, “Hey Robin, what happened when the shark got famous?”
She mindlessly asks not pulling her eyes from the glass, “What happened?”
“He became a movie-starfish” you wiggle your eyebrows and point to the sea star on the rock in the tank.
Robin shakes her head with a smirk but no laugh.
“How did the hammer head do on his test?”
“How did he do, Robin?”
“He nailed it.”
You roll you eyes and continue walking.
You continue to do this through the aquarium. Making jokes that pertained to the specific exhibit you were in. You walk by a large tank full of a variety of fish. Standing in front of the glass longer than Robin, you grab her hand as she starts to walk away.
“What’s up?”
“Hey um, what does a turtle do for their birthday?”
“I don’t know, do you want me to ask ‘em?” Robin points to the turtle laying on the rock.
“No, Robin, they shell-ebrate” you deliver your joke with a wide grin almost making yourself laugh. Robin lets go of your hand and tosses her head back in fake aggravation.
“Alright, alright. What’s um, what’s a turtles favorite Shakespeare quote?”
“What, my genius girlfriend? What is it?”
Robin clears her throat and straightens her posture to come off as fancy.
“Shell I compare thee to summers day” with the delivery of her line Robin bows. You stare at her with a cocked eyebrow, slow clapping to egg on her performance.
“Bravo, but ya didn’t crack me”
She huffs and walks off with you running behind to catch up.
“You’re too good at these, Buckley” you link your arm with Robins when you catch up.
“C’mon, bug, yours are funny too. You almost got me a couple of times”
“Really? Because I definitely think yours have been a lot better, more thought out.”
“No way, you’re the funniest person I know. I love your cheesiness” she pokes your cheek.
You lean your head on Robin’s shoulder when you enter the dark jellyfish exhibit.
“I love jellyfish” you whisper as you run to the large circular window in the wall.
Robin leans on her side against the wall watching the purple light from the tank dance on your face.
“Do you think jellyfish are sad there no peanut butter fish?”
A single laugh escapes you, barely even a laugh more like a forced exhale through your nose. The second you realize you slap your hand over your mouth and eyes grow wide. Robin throws her head back in a loud cackling laugh that disturbs the other guests.
“I’m really sorry” you mutter to the other patrons as you grab Robin’s arm and pull her out of there.
“I can’t believe that’s what broke me!”
“I know!” Robin squeezes out through a laugh.
“It was such a dumb joke too” you sigh shaking your head.
Watching her laugh brings a smile to your face and in seconds you are both standing in the middle of the aquarium dying of laughter. You both eventually catch your breath, leaning on each for support.
“To the gift shop?”
“Then ice cream? I think I remember ice cream was part of this deal, y/n?” Robin quirks an eyebrow pretend to think.
“I remember, Robs. I know the deal.”
You both explore around the gift shop, making fun of some of the weird shirts and posters.
“Hey Robin?” you sneak up behind your girlfriend with a stuffed toy “I whale always love you”. You bop her on the nose with the whale before setting it down.
“Genius, comedic genius right here”
“Oh shut up, Buckley. You love it” you squeeze her hand.
You head out to the cafe to get ice cream for you and girlfriend. Robin sticks in the gift shop a little longer and buys the toy you were messing with earlier as a surprise.
You see her approaching your table with a bag.
“I got you your favorite. And mint chocolate chip for myself which you are totally free to steal some once you realize your ‘favorite flavor’ is actually gross”
“Wow. And same thing to you, of course. I know it’s hard to get over a bad habit, but once you realize that that flavor is gross, I will be here to welcome you with open arms” Robin takes the seat across from you.
You roll your eyes at her ice cream comments, and continue to enjoy your selection.
“Whatcha got there?”
“Oh just a surprise for you” Robin throws out casually and hands you the bag.
“For me?” you gasp and over-dramatically lay your hand on your chest.
You look inside the bag with another gasp.
“Whale, whale, whale, what do we have here?” you pull out the whale she purchased and hug it to your chest.
“Just a little something for my fin-tastic girlfriend”
“We’re not gonna stop with these are we?” you shake your head at the realization.
“God, I really hope we do” Robin sighs in defeat.
You finish up your ice cream and head back to your car.
“Thank you for today” Robin places her hand on your leg while you drive.
“I had a lot of fun” you nod in agreement.
Inevitably the car ride home is filled with dumb, terrible jokes. Some of them don’t even land and that makes them even funnier. Robin was quick with it, and her jokes were clever too.
“You are like weirdly good at marine themed jokes and puns, Robin.”
“It’s a curse, really”
You make it back to Robins house luckily before it got too dark. Longing to spend more time with her, and just being a polite girlfriend, you walk Robin to the door.
You throw your arms around Robins neck, “Thank you joining me today.”
“Thanks for calling me up way past your bedtime to invite me.” Robin leans her forehead against yours.
She leans in slowly to kiss you. After a few seconds, you pull away smiling but keep your foreheads together.
“It’s really shellfish of you to pull back so soon”
“Robin!” you burst out laughing and moved away from her hold on you.
“That was the last one! I promise, I promise” Robins holds her arms out to pull you back in.
“Really promise?”
“Yes, bug, I promise” she pulls you into a hug and kisses your forehead.
“Ok, but I can’t promise that I won’t call you again late at night with more plans”
“Please do, I will welcome all your late night calls, my love”
You pulled back from the hug defying all the urges inside of you longing for you to stay in her arms.
“Goodnight, Robby” you call walking down the driveway.
“Sweet dreams!”

My School President Ep 7 Stray Thoughts
It's finally Frigay and we're back to my favorite boys. We are at an incredible time in BL.
Last week, the music club needed to create a new arrangement of a song to show off their talents for the competition, and so decided to cover Just Being Friendly by Tilly Birds (much to the chagrin of everyone except Por). After a rough start, Tiwson stepped in to direct the music video and launch three ships. Tinn and Gun got closer over the course of the episode and finally openly admitted their feelings for each other. We also all melted in a fever over the homages to Bad Buddy in this show. Finally, I actually liked the music video so much I barely noticed Tinn and Gun flirting over chicken.
I'm with Win. I hated morning assemblies when it was especially sunny on the Gulf Coast.
Sound feels like a full member of this band now. That's been done really smoothly.
I am 100% here for flirty Tinn.
New intro! We've now reached the back half of the show.
Happy for Chinzilla, but curious who their juniors are who will succeed them.
Oh, now I need to know who Yo is seeing.
This feels like early Thai BL again with the school radio being a plot device.
Flustered Gun is fun to watch almost as much as unleashed Tinn.
I'm so glad Mark keeps getting the 4th wall-breaking lines. "I play a friend, a brother, a father, and a priest. I play every role for you guys. If you want me as the male lead too, that'd be too much spotlight."
Yes, there are five tickets. Two secret couples and a witness. Let chaos reign.
Oh, Gun. There's no need to be jealous.
I do love student plays. It's just so silly sometimes. Also, Mark is demolishing this role as Tiwson.
Noooo... Yo used Tinn's likeness on Tinder. This is so embarrassing.
Good framing on that voting scene.
This season of simps have been fantastic. Tinn, Vincent Liang, and Kim Jong Chan are giving me everything I want.
That's right, boys. Get dressed up for your not-date.
Oh my goodness are they actually sending Tinn on the date with this poor girl first?
Win and Sound are so ridiculous. I love them.
Sapphics? On Frigay? It's more likely than you think.
Win is so petty.
Pinky touches for the gays at the aquarium? We stay winning.
We had nipple twisting yesterday in Dirty Laundry, and we're getting it here today.
At least Pain doesn't seem super nervous about being at the aquarium that she can nap.
Three fingers, Tinn?? I see you, baby boy! These two are adorable when they're enamored.
Yeah, I think Yo deserved that slap, but I get that he was searching for validation at the time.
I hope we get to see the student plays before this is over.
Oh no they're going to dance.
Of course Tiwson taught them to dance.
No, Tinn, don't be that person who tacks on to someone else's moment.
It's Yak with a steel chair!! What a great twist.
I hope we keep coming back to pools whenever these two get closer.
We're past pinky touches and now holding hands.
Oh ho! Things are coming to a head next week. Wonder what that means for the final act of this show.
