What do you like about Marie and Jordan individually and what do you like about them as a pair?

For Marie, I just love her so much. First of all, I am always happy to see a black girl lead in any kind of diverse, non-stereotypical, non-sassy-side character role like this.

But I also appreciated how realistic she was. Like, I understood almost every choice she made. I saw people get mad at her at the start for not always doing the altruistic, "right thing", but for most people, self-preservation comes first. She didn't owe those other characters anything (especially after how they treated her) and I loved that she had a back bone and would actually talk back to people. But at her core, she is still a good person despite everything that has happened to her and still chooses not to be corrupted by Vought's influence once she understands the true material cost.

For Jordan, they're just such a nuanced character. One, I always have a soft-spot for the Lancer character archetype. The highly capable, second best, who can never quite out-do the main character (e.i. bakugo, reki (from sk8), Ron from HP (fuck jkr, but no other examples are coming to me atm)), and Jordan is just that. Like, yeah, they were kind of a bitch at the start, but it's so clear that they are secretly a softie and the world and their experiences have forced them to have a tough shell. Also, their powers as an allegory for gender identity, yes, it's on the nose (although, as someone who grew up reading 90s/2000s manga like Ranma 1/2, not that unheard of), but I think the show handled questions of their identity really well.

And finally for Limoreau...

idk where to start. tbh, as someone who has been hyper fixating on characters and ships since high school, I never really have a clear explanation of why I ship the characters I do. I either like it or I don't. But Limoreau is such a pleasant surprise because the chemistry was there from the start, but it felt like one of those queer dynamics that the writers would be too scared to pursue (think Arthur/merlin or Gojo/Geto). I think the fact that our MAIN PAIRING is a queer, interracial couple with no white people, shouldn't be as revolutionary as it is in 2023, but it is! I hope this is a positive direction for on-screen storytelling.

But also everyone loves a classic "enemies to lovers" (yes, I know they're not EtL in the true sense, but I consider Rivals-to-lovers as a subset of EtL, so I'm using it as an umbrella term). I think the reason people like EtL dynamics (Especially in het pairings) is that there is always an underlying respect beneath the "hatred". Like, to see someone as a threat, you have to see them as at least an equal.

It was clear from the start that Marie and Jordan were more alike than different and it was Vought and the corrupt nature of Godolkin pushing them to compete. They're both lonely in different ways, and I love the idea of them finding acceptance and a home with each other (Also all three actors are extremely attractive and have great chemistry, so that never hurts).

Do I wish their relationship had been paced out a bit more? Yes. But that was my issue with all of Gen V. I think the whole show would have benefitted from 12 eps, instead of 8, because development was needed in most areas.

I also just want to note, for all the people saying their relationship "came out of nowhere", I truly feel that if Marie looked like Erin Moriarty and Jordan looked like Chace Crawford, most people would have clocked the romance from the beginning, jus saying...

I thought about a story that a popular girl at school called Claire would be the center of attention of two handsome popular boys, called Cody and Zack. They are both rivals. But, what they don't know is that they are actually wizards, born from the same Dad.

- Cody will be a kind and smart guy who everyone likes. He would have green eyes and blonde hair. He would like Claire.

- Zack would be a sassy and evil guy who everyone would fear and admire. He would have green eyes and black hair. He would like Claire.

- Claire would be a kind and smart cheerleader who everyone likes and adores. She would be a witch. She would have an evil twin sister called Meredith, something that she doesn't know. She would have brown hair and brown eyes. She would like Cody.

- Meredith would be a smart and evil girl who everyone fears, admires and hates. She would be a powerful witch who hates Claire and likes Cody. She and Claire would be rivals.

- Brittany would be Claire's best friend. She would be a smart and funny black girl with black eyes and black hair. She likes to dance Hip Hop. Brittany would be a normal girl. She would be like a precious sister to Claire, like a rock that holds Claire. If something happened to her, Claire would be very devastated.

- Zack and Cody would have a best friend called Michael. Michael would be a nice and strong athlete boy. He would like Brittany. He would be like a bridge that connects Zack and Cody. He would stop the brothes' fights. Michael would have dark eyes and dark hair.

- In the end, Meredith would be with Cody and Claire would be with Zack. Brittany would be with Michael.

And another month goes by!

In March, we received 45 fantastic fills from 23 wonderful participants, 36 of which will be listed below the cut! We've got 27 fics, four artworks, three fic + artwork combos, one fic + moodboard combo, and one lovely gif!

Since peach is still pretending people are interested in the stats part of the monthly round up, she's going to prattle on a little longer about ships. Gen/no ships came out top again this month with 16 works, while Merlin/Arthur came in second with 14. Merlin/Gwaine is third with two fills, and then we've got Gwen/Morgana, Merlin/Will and Lancelot/Will all with one.

(Another fun stat for you - there are only six works for Lancelot/Will on ao3, and a third of them are bingo fills!)

Reincarnation Fic Idea - Part 2

Continuing from where we left off - because I still have ideas. The gang reluctantly decide to partner with Morgana if it means that they could find Arthur and bring him home. They come to the conclusion that best bet at finding Arthur would be starting off at Lake Avalon where he was resurrected. Just one problem.

Where is Lake Avalon?

Years have gone by, wars have happened, kingdoms have fallen with new ones to take their place, terrains have changed. They couldn’t even find Camelot if they tried. The only people who would know where to find Lake Avalon are the Druids and other people of magic - Morgana being a special case since she just had her magic reawakened from her memories. The world no longer knows of the existence of magic so they have to search for groups of magical people.

Meanwhile at Merlin’s Farmhouse in a town of unorthodox druids - Druids that still practice magic but have integrated themselves into modern society, most of them are well-off if not wealthy.

*Arthur discussing something with two other druids while Merlin is falling asleep*

Arthur: Merlin!

Merlin: *being startled awake* Yes, yes, I’m up.

Arthur: I know you were up late working but I really need your full attention. These are very important decisions we’re making and you said we would do this together.

Merlin: *rubbing his eyes* Yes, I know, I know. Where were we again?

Arthur: We were looking over designs for the kitchen renovations. *Arthur takes a look over the pictures* I really like how spacious some of these are but out kitchen feels more homely I don’t want to get rid of that.

Druid 1 who is also an interior designer: I completely agree, I think it’s better to enhance your current look than give it a make over. Have a look at these.

Arthur: Oh, these are lovely. Merlin, what do you think? *turns to Merlin who is already asleep* Merlin!

Note: Arthur is in charge of renovations because he one gets to make decisions and two, gets to boss people around

Merthur and ‘The Good Side’ Headcanon

Headcanon very inspired by Troye Sivan’s The Good Side.

Merlin thinks he is the lucky one in their relationship.

Merlin, seeing the betrayal and hurt in Arthur’s eyes and his death caused by his mistakes, thought he was the lucky one to be able to be by Arthur’s side this long, to have Arthur’s love, trust, forgiveness and final moment, despite lying to him for ten years.

Time goes by, and Merlin lives. Yes, he is lonely. He loses half of his soul and nothing can fill the empty half of his heart. But occasionally, he falls in and out of little loves, experiencing very common relationships he can’t have when being Merlin the Emrys. It might not be the greatest legendary love that he has for Arthur. But It is so normal yet beautiful, and he knew that Arthur, always burdened by the king’s duties, could not love someone so ‘normally’ like this.

He travels and wonders the ever-changing world, seeing its beauty as it rots and blooms again and again, while Arthur has to lay in Avalon, only to be awakened when destiny calls, not having a chance to experience the world without burdens. Arthur lived and died as destiny commanded, but Merlin lives and lives and lives. Immortality was a curse but is now a blessing. He gets to change, to grow, to be so many things yet will always be Merlin. And when Arthur is back, the world will be even more beautiful.

Despite all odds, he thinks he gets the good side of things.

Arthur thinks otherwise.

Arthur, seeing the hurt and complete misery state of Merlin as he confessed his magic and losing Arthur, thought he was lucky to get to live ten years with his best friend with blissful ignorance and being held so lovingly as he died. Meanwhile, Merlin carried, and will continue to carry, the weight of destiny for him for perhaps eternity.

Unlike Merlin, Arthur rests. After all the mess, he is at peace. He won his battle, forgave everyone, and finally let go of everything. He expected himself to die at war or with a heavy crown chained to his head, slowly, lonely and painfully. But he was one of the lucky bastards that got to die in the arms of the person that loved him most. He died as Arthur Pendragon, not being reduced to one of the faceless corpses in the battlefield or just some vague figure in a history book. Fate ripped away Merlin’s mortal and sentenced him to thousand years of wonder and mourning, but Arthur was granted a slumber, gratefully unaware of the pain of losing half of his soul.

And when he wakes up, Merlin is waiting for him, and no matter what mess destiny throws at him, he will never be alone. He is the luckiest man because his other side of the same coin is always there for him to be fiercely loved and love him back. So, why would he fear missing out on anything when he already possessed the most legendary love one could have asked for? Merlin and his stupid smile, sassy jokes and silly stories will be there to fill him in.

No matter what, he will never lose himself because Merlin will always be there. The world might be ever-changing, but he will always be home.

Despite all odds, he thinks he gets the good side of things.

Uther’s eyes were like chips of ice as he stared Merlin down from across the table. Morning light gleamed against the window panes of the king’s personal dining room, and Arthur just managed to resist the urge to pinch himself. Somehow, this was really happening.

Finally! Posting the first piece of artwork in 2024!! (Sorry it took way longer than I thought, but that's life lol XD )

Anyways!! Me and my bestie @gorefolk created sonas for Chaotic. If you haven't guess, yes, I had way too much fun with designing her, sorry, can't help it. XD

So now, I'm happy to introduce you to my Chaoticsona, Alessa.

-Alessa has been player in Chaotic for a long time, she would come everyday to hangout and explore Perim. But... things changed and well, she comes and goes. Players thought she got a job and was busy, even believing she would get tired of the game. That wasn't the case for Alice...

-She didn't have too many friends, only two, Bon and Violet, Chaotic players and people she knows from her hometown. She was shy and had a hard time talking to people. However, she did have one best friend she met online. They would talk a lot and hangout, it was the best for them.

-And then, her best friend would disappeared from Chaotic for 4 years, Alice felt heartbroken, she worried about her friend... but she felt helpless... only to wondered why she left, she hoped that her friend would message her soon...

-During the four years, she and her friends would carry on with their lives, at least Alice would try, she got a job at an art studio and was happy to work with a famous artist. It was good, till she came to Chaotic to she her long time best friend there... Alice was so happy to see her, she was in tears.

-Alessa still is shy but is a little confident with herself and is able to speak to people better thanks to her best friend.

-She does not like conflict, tries to keep the peace with anyone. Basically tries to be the mediator. (It's stressful but she doesn't care)

-Drawing and photography are her hobbies.

-Has a dog named Penny that lives with her in her apartment, she a sweet and sassy dog that loves attention. But can be a good dog as long as you give her pats on her head.

-During her time alone in Perim without her friends, she traveled to the Mipedian area, near the palace, sketching and taking photos till she 'kind of' met Prince Iflar, well she didn't know it was him, but he and her would talk a bit, they slowly become good friends...

-Alice enjoys making things, basically arts and crafts are her specialty.

-When it comes to competition, Alessa isn't so interested in the game but plays with her friends sometimes. As for going to Perim for scans, well, Alice gets nervous to ask the creatures themselves, can't handle it, so she offers to trade the art she makes for the mugic/gear/creature scans from Chaotic players. (Easier for her than asking the creatures themselves but that will have to change soon...)

-She's enjoying her time in Chaotic and now her best friend is back, all should be good now... but unfortunate.. nothing stays good forever... Alice would start to feel ill in her stomach... she would learn about her chronic illness... but never told anyone about it, not her friends, not even her best friend... she doesn't want anyone to know... but that will become her nightmare as time goes on...

And that's all about my sona, I'm so excited to draw her soon. Can't wait for what me and my bestie cook up with our sonas in Chaotic hehe. XD

I love that they were trying to get Meliodas to abandon his emotions to keep his rage in check and then when he actually has no emotions we find out that he’s straight up evil and much, MUCH worse than before lol

the tears pooling on their insanely pointy chins always gets me lol. but also mel just violently sobbing and then suddenly being fine. Mans has serious issues with repression that can def be drawn to his daddy issues

BAN/ZHIVAGO ARC😭😭😭 a few observations: Ban is very clearly influenced by Zhivago’s style, like the clothes are so similar, the fact that they sent Ban to Aberdeen prison and his favorite is Aberdeen ale makes me think he associates it with his dad, Zhivago was hot, Ban mirrors Zhivago’s words to him to Elaine, Zhivago tells Ban to never trust humans and the only humans he ends up trusting are Escanor and Jericho, zhivago has lived in misery about the deaths of his children for almost 40 years :(

I would like to humbly suggest the Gwaine/Lancelot rarepair. I just think they’d make a good friendly rivalry situationship over who would be Merlin’s favourite knight/best friend or over who would be the knight second in command under Arthur (the answer is obviously Leon for that one but Leon just looks like an old man to them)

Also their chaotic energies would fit & enable each other rly well I think. Like Gwaine trying to get Lance drunk over in the tavern so that he lets loose & gets to see the chaotic side in him. Lancelot could be like a role model for Gwaine for what an honourable knight looks like (that isn’t nobleborn like Arthur) & he would definitely roast Gwaine into next dimension

(THEYD MAKE A CUTE PAIR OF DRINKING BUDDIES too)

That’s another thing they have in common too! They’re both commoners & have to get used to Camelot so it’d me nice to have each other, wouldn’t it?

And Lancelot would totally be the one to bodily hold Gwaine back when he lost his temper over smth someone said but would just go „let loose, Gwaine!“ if it was an insult abt Merlin. Like Lance would be holding the guy down & Gwaine would be punching him. Full on Merlin Protection Squad. And they’d be in that weird limbo together where they’re saying „yeah, I think Arthur’s a good guy but I was originally here for Merlin oops“

I just think these two would be fun. They are like the Benvolio & Mercutio duo just ribbing each other & vibin in the background while Romeo (cough cough Arthur) has his big dumb monologue.

And maybe Lance would also have like „easier access“ to Gwaine bc Gwaine is like one of the only knights who openly says like sassy/sometimes even anti-Arthur things abt Arthur. And like with Lance OF COURSE he has some pent up resentment against Arthur bc he got Gwen & Merlin is so willing to suffer for him too (I know Lancelot says he & Arthur are gucci & there’s no bad blood. BUT COME ON. Let Lancelot feel some human emotion expect for boyfriend perfection). And Gwaine would just be effortlessly joking abt Arthur & not let it sour his loyalty, and Lance could learn that it is perfectly fine & normal to not have noble & honourable knightly thoughts 24/7. that you aren’t judged by the worst thoughts you have abt somebody

YES. I haven't read any actual Gwaine/Lancelot fic but they'd make a great pairing.

They are Merlin's two favourite knights! They have such different temperaments but they have the same values! They care about the same things and the same people.

And yeah, Gwaine was a nobleman actually, but he's been acting for a commoner for so long that it hardly matters. (Actually he was a noble disguised as a commoner, while Lancelot was a commoner trying to pass himself off as a noble... THE PARALLELS BE PARALLELING.)

And Gwaine would just be effortlessly joking abt Arthur & not let it sour his loyalty, and Lance could learn that it is perfectly fine & normal to not have noble & honourable knightly thoughts 24/7.

I LOVE THIS. YES! He holds himself to such impossibly high standards, someone needs to tell him not to be so hard on himself 😭😭😭

And they both care about Merlin a lot so you could add him to the mix, if you wanted. Make yourself a nice OT3.

I think it's a crime that we didn't really get any scenes with Lancelot and Gwaine interacting in canon. A crime against me personally.

The Boy Who Holds The Sky In His Eyes (part 1)

Sebastian x Ominis | If things played out differently

School. Grades. Assignments. Problems of Sebastian's simple wizard life. So much to think about.

Good thing he has his best friend with him, to distract him from those problems.

But slowly, his best friend started becoming one of his problems.

Sebastian found himself falling in love with his best friend. The boy who holds the sky in his eyes.

Should he or should he not risk their friendship? Bury these feelings or actually do something about it?

Ominis Gaunt. Descendant of Salazar Slytherin himself.

At first, Sebastian was intimidated. The status and all. Thinking, Ominis could be just another arrogant and judgemental pure blood.

Their first meeting wasn't exactly as he expected. Sebastian could see and hear how Ominis talks. There's this certain air to it. The boy also is sassy and snarky.

Sebastian had sat next to Ominis on their first class, because no one else did. They were all wary of Ominis. Pure bloods aren't exactly friendly like the common wizards and witches.

Sebastian saw Ominis was always holding his wand, and there is a red glow pulsing from time to time. Being new and curious, Sebastian asked:

"What is that? Some kind of spell?"

Sebastian felt nervous for a few seconds. Because Ominis didn't answer. Sebastian was considering to back down but then Ominis finally spoke.

"Not exactly." -Ominis lifted his wand up to Sebastian's face. "It helps me see. Like sonar."

"That's actually clever."

"I'd rather have this than a cane."

"Uhm, I'm Sebastian Sallow. Also a Slytherin."

"Ominis Gaunt."

"Nice to meet you."

A few more words exchanged, Sebastian could see that Ominis isn't so bad. He's actually just like the rest of them all. A kid, in school, to learn.

Sebastian's initial fear of Ominis disappeared. More so when he learned Ominis is just as mischievous as he is. And is game for adventures that landed them in detention a few times.

Even more so when Ominis could banter with him, with all his silly remarks and some subtle jokes. Ominis gets him. And he gets Ominis.

Best friends forever.

Until it wasn't.

It all changed one night. When they discovered the secret passage to honeydukes. They were excited to go and steal some sweets.

"Ooh, dark Ominis passageway. My favorite." -Sebastian grinned at the play at the 'ominous' word.

"No comment." -Ominis replied.

"Come on, that was a good one!"

On their way back to their secret lair, the Undercroft, they were laughing and eating chocolates.

Sebastian looked back to Ominis, and there's something about the light that hit Ominis just right.

Ominis looked... beautiful.

Sebastian choked on his chocolates.

"Sebastian? Are you okay?"

"I'm good. I'm good." -Sebastian kept coughing.

What in the world?!? Bloody hell!

Was all Sebastian could think of after that.

He only ever used the word beautiful to describe girls. Not boys.

Is he crushing on a boy? His best friend nonetheless.

Not that it's not common in their world, but Sebastian never imagined himself falling in love with another boy.

Wait... Falling in love? Ain't it just a crush a while ago? Sebastian asked himself.

"Sebastian!!!" -Ominis screamed at him.

"W-What?!?"

"Merlin's beard! I thought you choked to death! I was calling you over and over. You didn't answer."

"Sorry. I was just thinking."

"Of what?"

"Uh, nothing important. I think this is enough adventure for tonight. Let's head back."

Sebastian then spent the following days thinking of what he could be feeling for Ominis. He was so busy on adventures and classes that he never really gave thought and time about crushes or love.

It was the weekend and he woke up late. He trudged to the great hall for breakfast. Headed to their usual spot on the table.

And there he saw Ominis. Sitting with another one of his friends, a boy. Garreth. Talking and laughing.

Sebastian felt... strange.

There is this weird unfamiliar feeling in his chest. He walked closer, his steps heavy, thinking back if Ominis and Garreth was this close before.

Him and Garreth are close friends too. But he never thought Ominis and Garreth are.

Sebastian has quite a few friends other than Ominis. And Ominis does too because of him. He introduces him to his other friends like Garreth. Amit and Leander.

He tapped the table and sat down next to Ominis.

"Good morning, Sebastian." -Ominis greeted him.

"Good morning." -he greeted back. His voice sounded annoyed.

And Garreth is still there! Sitting next to Ominis on his other side.

They proceeded to eat breakfast together. Sebastian just listening to Ominis and Garreth talk. And laugh. And plan to meet later that afternoon.

When Garreth left, Sebastian couldn't help but question Ominis.

"What is that? You're meeting with him later?"

"Yes. For our potion assignment."

"Like... just you two?"

"Yes."

Sebastian didn't like that.

"Where?"

"He invited me into the Gryffindor common room."

"Oh. I'll come along."

"Okay, I'll ask him first."

"Why do you need his permission?!? Besides, we all know each other."

"Well, he initially invited only me. I just think it's courteous to let him know you're coming too."

"Okay then."

Ominis then brought out his quill, asked it to write the topic, and sent his owl to Garreth. Smiling.

Sebastian didn't like that. Again.

"Why are you smiling?!?"

"I'm just excited to see inside Gryffindor. It's only you who have been there before with the others."

Garreth said yes and they went together to the Gryffindor common room.

Sebastian stayed where the two stayed. Observing. Thinking back at that time in the Undercroft.

Beautiful.

Was the word he choked on looking at Ominis back then.

So, Sebastian just observed Ominis. Is he always beautiful? Why didn't he notice it before? He knows what this is, a crush. Yes, a crush. But when did it start? Did he have a crush on Ominis way before that night?

Sebastian didn't have time to think about it because that weird feeling is back again. Garreth is holding Ominis' hands.

Sebastian furrowed his eyebrows at that.

To be fair, Garreth was guiding Ominis in mixing their ingredients.

But he didn't have to hold his hands like that!

Sebastian marched over to the two.

"I wanna help too." -Sebastian declared. He took Garreth's hand away from Ominis' and took over the mixing.

Garreth just watched him as he did, with a weird look on his face.

After the assignment has been done, on their way out, Garreth asked Sebastian to stay a little while. Ominis was tired so he went on ahead.

"Sallow! Now I can confirm."

"Confirm what?"

"You... and Ominis." -Garreth has a grin on.

"W-What do you mean?!?"

"I was bored and saw you staring at him in history class. I got curious."

"Staring?!? Me? At Ominis?!?"

"Yeah, for a while now."

Sebastian thought back. Did he really? Even before that night in the Undercroft?

Garreth giggled and wrapped his arm around Sebastian's shoulder.

"I knew it! You're always together. And, I mean, I can't blame you. Ominis looks fine~"

"I-I..." -Sebastian was at a loss for words. And he rarely does that. But right now, he is speechless. How come Garreth figured it out before himself did?!?

"It's his eyes, right? It's so... well, he is blind, but his eyes still looked beautiful. Uniquely beautiful."

Is it that? Sebastian asked himself too.

Garreth stared at him. Looking like he is studying him.

"Oh! Bloody hell!" -Garreth looked at him, surprise on his face. "Don't tell me, you just realized too?!? That you have crush on Ominis???"

"Garreth! Pipe it down!" -Sebastian elbowed the Gryffindor. They are still in the common room.

"S-Sorry. But, Sebastian?!? For real?!?"

"... Y-Yeah."

"Bloody hell! So what do you plan now?"

"None. I have nothing planned."

Sebastian doesn't have a plan alright. He just wanted to act as normal as he can around Ominis.

But his other friends have a plan. So it seems.

The moment him and Ominis stepped into the greenhouse areas the next Monday, Garreth was there, all over Ominis, suspiciously.

Garreth wrapped his arm around Ominis' shoulders.

Sebastian raised an eyebrow at that. What the hell is Garreth doing?!?

"Omi! Good morning!"

'O-Omi?!? Bloody hell?' -Sebastian thought. Omi. What is that?!? A shortened version of Ominis? Why? For what? Did Ominis approve this?

Sebastian observed his best friend crush. And to his relief, Ominis looked surprised as well. And annoyed.

"Garreth. Stop calling me that. I refuse a nickname." -Ominis said and tried prying himself out of Garreth's hold.

"Sorry. I just thought it was cute."

"It isn't. And I'm not cute either. I think. I haven't exactly seen myself yet."

"What? What are you talking about?!? You look good, Ominis."

"R-Really? Don't play with me this early in the morning!" -Ominis blushed.

"For real!" -Garreth swore.

While all these was happening, Sebastian could only process one thing.

Ominis. Blushed.

'Is Garreth flirting with Ominis?!? But he knows that I... wait a minute.' -Sebastian side eyed Garreth. 'This little prick is making me jealous!'

Sebastian clicked his tongue because it is working. Garreth made Ominis blush. He haven't done that before.

And as if Garreth read his mind, the Gryffindor grinned.

"Anyways, let's head to class." -Garreth gave Ominis a squeeze on the shoulders before entering the classroom.

"Sebastian?"

"Yes, Ominis?"

"Am I... good-looking?"

Sebastian choked on air. "O-Ominis!"

Sebastian kept coughing as he cleared his airways.

"Merlin's beard! That caught me off guard."

"Oh. Sorry. I shouldn't have asked." -Ominis sounded... sad.

He took Sebastian's reaction as a scoff. As a mock.

Ominis was born blind. So he has no idea what he looks like. He just had his brothers and sisters tease him. Saying his eyes look freaky and scary. His skin is pale and his hair, darker blond compared to theirs that is more of a platinum blond. Ominis took it as him being ugly.

"W-Wait! You got it wrong!"

"It's okay, Sebastian."

"No! Wait! Ominis. You look good. Very good. You're beautiful!" -Sebastian blurted out. Loudly.

That all the other students gearing for herbology class heard and turned quiet.

Sebastian suddenly felt embarrassed. Now he is the one blushing. He wanted to shrink and run away at the moment.

Ominis too. He noticed how their surroundings turned quiet.

"Good morning, class!" -Professor Garlick greeted. "What are you all standing around for? Class is starting!" -She called all of them into the classroom.

Sebastian could hear the girls giggle and the boys whisper as they walk into class. He looked over to Ominis, who was also blushing.

Now he made Ominis blush. But out of embarrassment in front the whole class.

Sebastian and Ominis shared a table, seats facing each other.

"Ominis. Sorry. I know I put you in a rather uncomfortable situation." -Sebastian apologized.

He knew Ominis is quite shy. And would like to just lay low. Not be in the spotlight.

"It's okay." -Ominis smiled at him.

And Sebastian was glad that everything is back to normal.

The class droned on and on and Sebastian lost interest on the lecture moments ago.

They have a few minutes after class ended. They stayed back a while, like they always do. Until it's just the two of them left.

Sebastian was staring at Ominis the whole time.

Particularly at Ominis' eyes.

That fogged over ultra light blue color; looking like the sky on a pleasant cloudy day.

And then at nighttime, the clouds now have silver lining, and the white, smaller spots, they look like constellations littered about. At some point, Sebastian swear, they even glow under certain lighting conditions.

"What's wrong?" -Ominis broke him from staring.

Because Ominis' other senses are heightened, the sky-eyed boy could sense him easily. Could tell if he's staring.

Sebastian felt a little frustrated at that. Because he can't keep staring at him in peace without being asked.

"Nothing is wrong."

"I could feel you staring! Is there dirt on my face again?" -Ominis started rubbing the back of his hand on his cheek.

Then Sebastian had an idea.

"In fact, you do. Let me get that for you."

Sebastian pretended there is dirt. Just so he could touch Ominis' cheeks without being questioned.

Sebastian cupped Ominis' cheek and rubbed his thumb over and over, ever so gently on the soft skin.

"Did you get it all?" -Ominis innocently asked.

"Wait, just a little bit more." -Sebastian kept pretending. "There."

"Good. That's why I don't like Herbology to be the first class of the day. I'd be walking around with dirt all over me!" -Ominis proceeded to shake his coat off of any dirt that could've been on there.

Sebastian laughed.

"Don't worry, I'm here to save you, my damsel in distress."

"Oh! My knight in shining armor."

They shared a laugh. They're always like this. Sebastian would say something, Ominis would react with some kind of retort or as witty a reply. And vice versa.

Sebastian told Ominis to go ahead on their next class. He had to use the loo. And there, Garreth was waiting.

"That was smooth!"

"What is?"

"The: you have dirt on your cheek." -Garreth mimicked Sebastian's hand then.

"Wh-How did you?!? You were spying on us now?!?" -Sebastian was upset.

"This is the last time, I promise. But keep it up, Sebastian. Just keep flirting like that."

"Flirting?!? I wasn't!"

"Oh yeah, right. It comes naturally to you. Look, we're all friends and we hangout together. Sometimes, you say things that are... a tease. A flirt. Maybe it is not, for you; but it does come out that way."

"Does it? Really?"

"Uh-huh! Well, I thought I'd have to do more drastic measures for you to act on Ominis. I even thought to make a potion. But looks like everything is in order."

"Oh, Merlin have mercy! No potions please!"

Garreth laughed and made a 'promise' gesture and then left.

They continued school that way. Sebastian remained best friends with Ominis. Throwing some mild flirting every now and then.

Simple 'I'm your knight in shining armor or I'm your prince charming' everytime Ominis needed help on some things.

All to which Ominis would reply with something as witty.

And that became quite a problem for Sebastian. He wasn't sure if Ominis is just oblivious or if he's flirting isn't clear enough.

Sebastian has to do something. Especially now.

Years have passed. They've grown and Ominis grew beautifully.

And more and more students, girls and boys, began noticing him. Began lurking around him.

"Merlin beard! I'll make a potion to help you!" -Garreth exclaimed.
