all your stuffed animals love you. they're not sad if they're in a box, or on the floor, or not held/played with as much. they understand. they know that you might need another stuffie more, or that you don't have enough space. they're just happy to be with you, and if you ever give them away, they'll be happy there too. stuffies are for comfort. they understand. they love you too. it's okay.

Hallucinating is normal, many people experience it. You have most likely at least passed someone in the street who was hallucinating once. Or you've worked alongside a coworker who was actively hallucinating and you didn't even notice. Or your loved one hallucinated while you were in the room, but they were afraid to tell you.
Hallucinating is common, it's just not commonly talked about in everyday situations. If you don't experience it, or don't know someone who does and tells you about it, you've probably only heard it in the news or on TV. And they only really represent the worst possible outcome for shock value. But that isn't representative of how most of us who hallucinate experience it.
Most of us are just like everybody else, living our lives, just with the addition of hallucinations. We may need to take pills every day, or need therapy, or need to stay in mental hospitals sometimes, or need to be checked on by loved ones, but so do a lot of other people who don't hallucinate.
Hallucinations are just a symptom. Just like anxiety, or trouble concentrating, or tiredness. A lot of people experience it and have to learn to cope overtime. The only difference is we don't generally talk about it to people in casual settings. And it's because of the stigma. If you don't hallucinate, or know someone who does, you probably don't see hallucinations as a normal part of life, a symptom, just a thing plenty of people experience. But it is, it's not special, it isn't more dangerous, it doesn't have to be a huge deal.
Obviously hallucinations can be life changing and horrific, but so can other mental health symptoms. Hallucinations can also be neutral, or just annoying or even a positive experience. It's just a symptom, it doesn't automatically mean someone is in the worst mental state possible if they are hallucinating. It doesn't automatically mean someone is dangerous or unpredictable. It just means a person is experiencing senses that the people around them are not.
You have to learn to accept that it's just a symptom, and that people around you experience it, and they deserve to complain or talk about it just like anyone else gets to with other things in their lives. All you have to do is listen, and try to be understanding. Hallucinating is normal, you just need to stop treating it like it's abnormal.

i don't know what psychotic person needs to hear this, but it is in fact okay for you to be psychotic. it's not your fault. you're not asking for it. it's something that's occurring to you. trying to force it to stop happening ALL the time is going to drain you way too much. some days you just have symptoms and it's alright. sometimes you just have to go with the flow. you're not a fuck up if you have episodes, days, weeks, months of not being able to hold it together and mask your paranoia, intrusive thoughts, delusions, hallucinations, catatonia, confusion, etc. it's alright to just be mentally ill for a bit. i love you

Ppl who have issues with hygiene ily. Ppl who cant brush theyre teeth regularly. Ppl who dont shower for months. Ppl who wear the same clothes for days.
If all u can do is brush or shower once every few weeks or months ily. If all you can do is change into a different pair of pajama pants today ily. Or if you cant do any of it ily.
Ik ppl will be like “its not healthy to spread positivity now my teeth are rotting bc I didnt care” which I understand to some extent for some ppl but no amount of scaring me about how my teeth health will suffer is going to make me do it more, my brain quite literally can’t foresee the positive outcomes and will refuse to make it a daily habit no matter how much its barked at me over and over.
Sometimes its not something that can be helped. And its not bc I dont care or i like being disgusting or dont understand the risks I literally just cant.

Shoutout to those who have had to go through things no one should as kids/adolescents due to their mental illness(es).
BUT ALSO:
Shoutout to those who developed their mental illness(es) after their tween/teen years and had to learn to adjust to life with mental illness.
ADDITIONALLY:
Lots of love to all with mental illness who had to adjust without much or any support from others/those you love(d).
END NOTE:
Mental illness is hard enough on its own, but these conditions can make it so much more difficult.
You’re worthy and deserving of love, support, and respect even if you haven’t been receiving it.

I always hate to see pw high empathy making those with low empathy feel guilty just for not feeling the same things they do. Do you think i enjoy this? Have you ever considered that maybe i wish i could feel just like you and i WOULD if i could?
It's quite ironic that the so-called considerate empaths would shame someone for something they don't control, esp considering a lot of the time our empathy is underdeveloped for a reason! Bad stuff!!! It shouldn't matter how one feels (or doesn't) as long as their actions don't hurt others. And empaths shouldn't be able to just hide behind their feelings and/or intentions when they make bad or hurtful decisions. Because they do too.

Shoutout to people who speak "overly formally." You deserve to express yourself in whatever way feels most natural and fulfilling for you. The way you speak isn't pompous, annoying, or mockable; it's just how you communicate, and there's nothing wrong with that. Your voice adds creativity and diversity to this world, and I think that's amazing.

shoutout to everyone with a complicated or negative relationship to antipsychotics. to everyone who’s “noncompliant”. to everyone who’s on them due to force or coercion. to everyone who’s on them because they’re afraid of not being. to everyone who’s going through withdrawal without medical supervision & against medical advice. to everyone who hates the side effects but still prefers them to being unmedicated. to everyone who dislikes them for “disordered” reasons. to the people on them who don’t think they need them & the people off them who think they do. to everyone who doesn’t like them but does better at school or work on them & to everyone who likes them but does better without them. to everyone who gets them on they grey market. to everyone who self-medicates with illegal drugs instead. to everyone with medical/psychiatric trauma. to everyone refusing to go to doctors (even if they would be helpful with other things) because they don’t want to be put on antipsychotics. I see you & im here with you. no matter what your diagnosis is you deserve bodily autonomy.
