Christmas Secret Santa Event

: ̗̀➛ Scenario: Most of Octavinelle decided to stay in the dorm at NRC this Christmas and helped out to make a feast for dinner.

You and Floyd did Secret Santa a bit differently (aka Floyd rigged the results somehow, you have no idea how). You both knew that you'd gotten each other obviously, so now comes the shopping process.

It took you longer than you'd thought to pick out something for him since you weren't sure what he would like. Obviously your first thought was shoes since you knew he liked them and also played basketball, which is the gift you almost got him until a squishy shark plushie caught your eye, and you immediately bought it.

While everyone else was in the lounge exchanging gifts and preparing Christmas dinner, Floyd pulled you into an empty corridor. "Sharky~ what did you get me, what did you get me?" He asked excitedly.

You laughed, holding out a neatly wrapped square present with a nice bow on the top. "I almost got you something else, but I thought you'd like this more." You said as he waited impatiently, almost like a child.

You handed him the present, which he grabbed vry eagerly. He tore open the paper and removed your gift. Cue a few moments pause and he figured out what it was. He got so excited that he squeezed you much harder than he meant to. It took a minute to regain your breath. "Awwwww, I love it, Sharky~!!" He said, the relased you and handed you a slightly messily wrapped present. You only had a second before he was pleading with you to open it.

"Go on, go on, open it!" He said loudly with a wide grin on his face. You took the present carefully, not sure ehat to expect, though you eventually opened the present and were delighted by what you saw. The present contained what resembled a snowglobe, but the structure inside was of the Atlantica Memorial Museum and instead of snow inside, there were tiny glowing beads.

"Awwwwww, thank you, Floyd!" You said, hugging him tightly while trying to not drop the gift. He hugged you back with his signature drawling laugh. "C'mon, Sharky, let's go put these in my room so we can go get some food!" Floyd said, putting the shark plushie under one arm and grabbing your hand with his other. You really had no choice but to follow him.

When you entered his room, he was evidently still very happy because he jumped onto his bed and squeezed the poor plushie to the point where it was so flat that it took a few seconds for it to regain its form. You deposited your snowglobe(?) onto his desk and sat down with him for a moment on the bed.

"Floyd, weren't we going to get food?" You asked amusedly. He frowned, still holding onto the shark plushie. "I don't want to now. I want to snuggle you and Sharky 2.0." He said, then lunged forward to pull you into a hug.

You accepted the hug with a knowing smile as he'd done similar things in the past. "It's time for my Christmas snuggles now." Floyd said, pretty much wrapping his entire body around you. You laughed. "Alright, fine."

You stayed there for about ten minutes before there was knocking on the door. "Floyd? Y/N? Are you in there?" You heard Jade's voice from behind the door. Floyd jumped up and ran to the door with his new shark plushie in hand as you took a moment to sit up. You laughed as Floyd began rambling about Sharky 2.0 and how cute it was but not as cute as you and how squishable it was. At first, Jade was utterly bewildered, but he retained a semi-formal composure, though his smile was very genuine.

"I'm glad you like your gift from Y/N, Floyd, but aren't you hungry? Most of dinner is ready and I'd hate for you to miss out on the good food." Jade interrupted Floyd's rant. Floyd pouted, but after he grabbed your hand and all but yanked you out of the room, he was all smiles. You noticed that he still had the plushie in his other hand and you smiled.

All throughout the feast and the rest of the Secret Santa exchanges, Floyd stuck to your side like glue and would tell anyone who would listen about Sharky 2.0. He also declared to you the your gift was the best of the exchange (you had luckily pulled him into the empty kitchen before he'd said this to get more food). In the end, it was a very good exchange and you made this eel boy's day. Yeah, just so you know, he's going to take Sharky 2.0 with him everywhere and basically the whole school is going to know about it by the time Christmas break is over.

Floyd requested that you put the snowglobe on your desk so you'd always see it when you walk into your room, which you obliged and now that is its permanent spot. At night, the glowing beads gave off the illusion of fish swimming in water when light hit the globe. He gets visibly much happier when he comes in your room and sees it.

I WAS SO EXCITED FOR THIS, I HAVE NO EXCUSE FOR WHY I FINISHED THIS SO FAST!! Also thank you for the ask! 💙 I hoped you enjoyedddd and obviously everyone else who read this too. First request of the event is done, I'm so fucking good lol/j but seriously I love that your suggestion was a shark plushie because it is so cute to imagine. Can someone with better artistic skills than me draw this and tag me in it? Like 🙏 P.L.E.A.S.E. 🥹

disclaimer: this does contain content about christmas, i know i know they don’t celebrate it i just thought it’d be cute, bUtttt i tried to make it more festive instead of geared towards christmas!:)

general

- there’s a school wide secret gift giving event which is just pure chaos and cuteness as people scramble to get other people gifts even if they don’t really know the person. each name pulled comes with a little something about the person they got for the gift exchange.

- there’s also a year vs. year snowman building/decorating competition (they take it very seriously)

- (people also try and sabotage other years snowman’s so they learn special magic to protect their snowmen.) (meaning if you hear/see someone being shot into the distance, chances are they messed with the 3rd years snowmen.)

- the school is decorated all over with winter decorations like wreathes, colorful string lights, as well as soft snow.

- students go sledding on the hills, having sledding competitions.

- (they also like to have a dorm decorating competition but no one likes to actually talk about it, they just know it’s happening, and they definitely know who is winning, and it’s NOT the other dorms.)

- let’s not even try and act as if there wouldn’t be PLENTY of snowball fights constantly. you’re just minding your own business walking around NCR, when suddenly a cold, wet ball of snow pelts you right in the back of the head. glancing over and that face you love so much just shrugs with a smile, before a full on blur of snow hits them right on that pretty smile.

- it would be utter chaos after a bit, floyd and rook would take it so seriously. like what do you mean rooks snowball basically curved around other people to hit you??? meanwhile floyd’s rolling a snowball so large it would practically knock someone down if thrown.

octavinelle:

- you think azul is going to let cold weather and festivities stop him from making money??? absolutely not. he is profiting so hard. hot chocolate? on the menu. oh you’re cold and wanna sit by the fireplace??? $8 please:).

- he makes floyd dress in a santa costume and take photos with students. (sometimes floyd gets really into it, other times you just see a quick flash of blue hair in a santa suit running after a terrified first year)

- jade loves it. adores these times. the snow?? imagine how pretty it looks on mountains right now, or what kind of mushrooms would THRIVE in this. he often wears one of those necklace string lights that are just so tacky, but i mean, who would tell him not to.

- jade loves antagonizing people about the cold. you’re cold? interesting. imagine being in the deep depths of the sea, imagine that coldness:)

- they go around in their regular uniforms, wondering why everyone is such babies about the cold. floyd goes as far as to wear shorts around just to poke at people, what do you mean your cold? he’s literally wearing shorts, you’ll be fine.

ignihyde:

- you think idea wears sweaters too much before it gets cold????? imagine him when it’s cold out, so bundled up, there was barely a chance of getting him to leave his room before, now there’s a zero percent chance.

- ortho wears scarves and little mittens even though he obviously doesn’t have to.

- let’s not forget how idia is secretly trying to outdo all the other dorms. those lights that spell out words and play the theme song to idias favorite shows, who would’ve possibly put those up!!

- idia loves the holidays even if he won’t admit it, geez why do people go crazy. and gifts? who would want a gift from a stranger?

- that is until ortho shows up outside his door, handing him a plate of cookies you made and thought he would enjoy! and uh oh, suddenly his blue hair starts turnings a pale pink.

heartslabyul:

- riddle is also violently bundled up.

- ace is an absolute menace as per usual. yellow snow? he’s either eating it or convincing unsuspecting people to eat it, someone please get him AWAY from deuce.

- deuce is constantly calling him mom telling her he can’t wait to see her soon, and sending her selfies of him all bundled up, he forever feels the need to make up for his past wrongdoings.

- adeuce definitely sneak out and join the other first years for late nights leading competitions, and they all end up back at ramshackle, freezing cold, dying laughing at each other. they even stay up late tracking santa on their phones knowing damn well he’s not real.

- trey makes plenty of cookies and makes sure everyone’s all warm, he’s oddly okay with the cold, just wearing a light jacket and feeling perfectly fine. he gets super annoyed at how his glasses fog up everytime he walks into the cold outside from the nice and toasty inside.

- trey rocks scarves so hard, like cater is so jealous because he thinks scarfs just look so silly on himself.

- speaking of, all the lights? the decorations??? cater is going to have a FIELD DAY with all these perfect backdrops for his magicam.

- ace is buying an elf on the shelf and you CANNOT stop him. and he will most definitely be using it to scare tf outta people. he kept on moving it around when no one was around, freaking riddle out.

- until…ace notices the elf moving spots without him doing it. deuce and ace become absolutely CONVINCED the thing is possessed or alive, meanwhile it’s cater and trey fucking with them.

- cater would even go as far as to make it it’s own magicam account for updates.

- ace is a menace and starts playing holiday music on november 1st. he has no decency. trey tries to bribe him with sweets to at least wait until december (he takes the sweets and plays the music regardless)

pomefoire:

- you have never seen such a well versed winter selection of clothes until you see what vil and rook wear in the winter. vils mitten collection? it would make designers incredibly jealous.

- and then you see epels selection. it’s much…homelier. it’s very cozy!

- vil is not a fan of the cold. it’s just..too cold. he prefers it to be lightly cold but definitely not like this. but he’s not gonna let the cold stop him from shining out within the crowd.

- he will string some nice tinsel up along with some plain colored lights, but definitely not those hideous multicolored ones.

- vil would LOVE hot chocolate but would refuse to ever admit it, denying it instantaneously because what person who respects their body would digest that.

- afterwards though, he will be downing some ginger to cleanse his system a bit.

- epel and rook would INDULGE so hard in hot chocolate

- rook adores holiday, everyone looks so nice and warm he can’t it! compliments are flowing from every angle with this man, your scarf! his mittens! their boots! he’s thrilled and he’s taking note of who seems to be affected more by the cold and who is quite quaint to it.

- epel is taking the first years sledding he couldn’t fathom not doing so. he feels so at home in the cold.

savanaclaw:

- leona hates it. so bad. like why in hell is ruggie basically putting a wreath on leona’s head and giggling about it.

- leona hates the cold so bad, he’d sleep next to the fireplace.

- ruggie hates the cold too, he’s had a few too many unbearable cold nights back home.

- but what he does love? gifts and treats. you’re telling me someone’s gonna give him gifts?? and people are giving treats? he’s over the moon.

- he also can’t wait to give someone a gift, sure he likes his money and is stingy, but he likes to give certain people things, he gets how it is with no money or no gifts. he likes to make other people happy.

- jack loves the cold. adores it. he’s like a human heater, it’s perfect!

- he can’t wait to go sledding with the first years, and loves giving his gifts to people. it embarrasses him a little bit, his cheeks heating up, but as soon as the certain someone tells them he loves it, his tail is going CRAZY. he couldn’t be more happy.

- leona acts like he hates gift giving, just as he hands over the most sincere gift physically possible.

- they have the option of either hats without ear holes, leaving them with cold ears, or they can walk around with hoods/hats on, sticking up in the odd shape it forms around their ears. it’s lowkey adorable but the beastmen hate it.

scarabia:

- kalim is LIVING. all these pretty lights??? giving people things??? he’s so happy. he wants to decorate so much. he would want to give every single person something, i mean, they deserve it!!

- jamil is…less excited. he enjoys the holidays, but only when he’s around people he can actually tolerate.

- if you pass by jamil and he’s wearing a tacky string light necklace with this face :|. just…don’t mention it. but when you pass by a gleaming kalim wearing the same thing, it’s obvious whose idea that was.

- maybe if you can convince one of them, they’ll take the magic carpet out for a spin, flying above the school looking down at all the snow, the decorations, lights, and all the people living life below.

- jamil is freezing cold too. he cannot stand it, this man would walk around in layers on layers, yet he’s still freezing.

- he catches kalim making snow angels and ushers him up because he’s going to get sick.

- wait..is that ace? talking to kalim,,, near YELLOW SNOW?? dear god this man is going to have a heart attack.

diasomnia:

- lilia is getting everyone matching sweaters. it’s happening as we speak. sure sure they have ones from past years, but they need new ones are you crazy???

- sebek wears his so proudly knowing he matches with lilia and malleus, why does silver need to match them too though.

- malleus wouldn’t completely understand the holiday fuss, but he would love it, everyone seems so happy, humans are so cute! he’s never celebrated like this, would you be so kind as to help malleus decorate his room as you did ramshackle?

- if you ask kindly enough i malleus supposed he could let you decorate his horns as well.

- silver questions who put tinsel around malleus horns while lilia & the mc look away unsuspectingly as malleus just beams.

- sebek absolutely hates the idea of santa. what do you mean a large man comes breaking into homes??? near his malleus??? are you insane?

- silver isn’t the biggest fan of the cold, all indoor places are just so so warm and cozy, he can’t help it as his eyes start to drift close.

- silver will wear the cutest holiday hats, he loves them, the also cant wait to give his gifts, he just hopes the person likes it.

- a little gift exchange is just so cute, they’re just a little fae (and honorary fae) family experiencing human customs, fully embracing it.

ramshackle:

- grim puts poorly wrapped tuna cans under the tree they have set up, but it only last for a few days after mc catch’s grim feasting on them like it’s his last mean.

- we all know he has fur that keeps him well warmed, but that doesn’t mean he’s not gonna parade around in a cute little sweater anyways, come on mc has one just like it after all!

- a gingerbread house?? mc is going to create such a cute house while grim pitches in, and once they finished and mc took a photo, grims bouncing up and down begging to eat it whole.

- the ghosts decorate with tinsel, a tree, lights, and even mistletoe in the entranceway. though ramshackles foundational quality may not be the best, it sure is a sight to see with decorations lining it.

- grim tried his hardest to decorate the tree but it really just looks like a hot mess.

- grim and mc spend the holiday together, they bake cookies, watch holiday movies, even the ghosts join!

- they have a present exchange, and they video call some people they’re missing a bit too much.

- guess mc just has to invite her favorite people over to help her fix it! would sure be a shame if mc caught a certain someone at the entranceway under the mistletoe.

Hello, a question, due to the reactions of the boys,.... perhaps Valentine's Day does not exist in their world? :00

I was thinking that was a possibility 🤔 It would certainly help explain why we’ve never really had a Valentine’s Day event. Not to mention that it's off that of the 28 letters we've been getting for 3 years now, not ONE has ever mentioned a "valentine" or a special occasion of the sort. (Maybe Christmas and various other winter holidays don’t exist either, since we’ve never had a Christmas themed event…? Or perhaps they’re under different names like how the Star Sending is basically TWST’s take on Tanabata.) I know Twisted Wonderland has Halloween, but that doesn’t necessarily mean all holidays in our world translate over to their world.

On the “Valentine’s Day doesn’t exist in TWST” theory, we’ve never heard the name mentioned or a holiday like it vaguely referenced in passing. Also supporting this is the fact that many of the Valentine Gift letters (which are only called “Valentine Gifts” in the real world, not in the context of the in-game universe) don’t make mention of the day being particularly remarkable. In fact, it can be argued that some letters imply the sender is giving a character a gift on some random day of no particular importance. For example, Floyd 2021: Hey, thanks for the gift! I don’t think it’s my birthday though, so what gives? It’s a little weird just getting something out of the blue/Floyd 2022: Is it a thing for land-dwellers to just randomly gift each other stuff?, and Ace 2021: Thanks for the present. But what’s up with the sudden gesture?/Ace 2022: I was floored when I got a gift from you out of nowhere!, just to name a few! This is, of course, assuming the characters are not teasing, playing ignorant on purpose, or actually forgot what day it was (which, given which characters these are, that’s a 50-50 chance). It's not clear if the letters actually indicate consecutive years or not (ie 2021 letters are one year, 2022 letters are the consecutive year in the TWST timeline, etc.), otherwise I would say that Floyd being confused about the gifts he receives as an indication that Valentine's Day isn't a thing for those in Twisted Wonderland. Alternatively, maybe it isn't a holiday for merpeople???? (Just because Floyd mentions in his 2022 letter that he thinks it's a tradition for land-dwellers.)

There are also various lines you could interpret as “oh, the character is just surprised that you consider them a good friend and gifted them something (regardless of it’s a special day or not)”. For example, Deuce 2021: Thank you for the present. You surprised me a bit with that since we don’t often get chances to give our classmates gifts (the bolded part implies that today is somehow a special day designated for gift-giving?), and Jamil 2021: Thank you for the gift. To think I would receive something from you… Well, it caught me off guard (the bolded part would be interpreted as Jamil being shocked you consider him a friend worthy of a gift, or it could be his general shock at being thought of since he's used to playing support to others; it does not imply a special day).

I think the letters could also be interpreted in those ways as well, especially since not all Valentine’s Day gifts in Japan are meant to be romantic. (There are different phrases to denote gift meaning in Japan; “tomo choco” are given to friends, “giri choco” are given to coworkers/teachers/family, etc.) Sometimes there are lines which imply a "return of the favor" (via gifting, sharing their sweets, or just hanging out together(, and while this is definitely in-character for the boys who say it (coughAZULcough), it also implies a custom that is similar to Japan's version of Valentine's Day (ie if you have similar feelings (again, these feelings DON'T need to be romantic in nature), then you reciprocate by giving a gift in return). However, this doesn't occur with all the characters so it seems inconsistent. The inconsistency can be considered either as 1) it's not a holiday, so they don't feel like they have to return the favor for a random gift they got for no particular reason, or 2) the character does not return the sender's feelings (implied to be at least respect or friendship). It’s also possible that the characters just feel like they should do something nice for the sender in return as a general “thank you”.

That could, of course, also have to do with the joseimuke design of the game (meaning that while it is marketed to a predominantly female demographic, the content is not explicitly romantic in nature like it would be for an otome). This allows a wider audience to be cast in TWST’s net, since not all fans are interested in romantic relationships with the characters.

In any case, until TWST gives us confirmation of Valentine's Day or some twisted equivalent of it, then I don't see why the "Valentine's Day doesn't exist in Twisted Wonderland" headcanon can't be true 😂 They left it juust ambiguous enough for everyone to have whichever headcanon they want!

Beans Day - STAYING

Yesh, this could believably be an actual yearly occurrence for the boys rather than a forced script event, because that's most of what dictates if an event is sniped or not. The player does not participate as normal, though. They just sit with the harp and go :3

Fairy Gala - SNIPED

This has forced script event written all over it. I don't think I would be able to do it justice, and there is no way in hell the player would be able to do anything of note in this beauty/fashion-oriented event because their face got all fucked up, unless they, Vil, Crowley, Crewel, and everyone else in attendance is going to let them go to the gala and act like a human ASPCA commercial, which isn't happening.

Dance and Wishes - STAYING

Twst Christmas!!!!! I just think it'd be sweet to let the player draw comparisons between Christmas and the Starsending, having those line up would be so cute and a nice time to flesh out Wonderland and the characters! Also the player making a wish of their own 🥺 Definitely staying

Ghost Marriage - SNIPED

Sorry, not happening even if it did stay. The player does not live in Ramshackle, so they'd never encounter Eliza, and Idia going out RIGHT as Eliza is out looking is script work 100%. Sorry Puffy stans

Culinary Crucible - STAYING

I think this could believably be a thing that NRC does yearly, and I could make it work as a cute little hijinks thing. I think it'd more realistically be a little day or two with a special cooking class rather than functioning 1 to 1 with how it's played in the game.

Halloween part 1 - STAYING

Yeah, that's definitely a thing that would occur naturally, but I'm personally gonna pull back the "HOLY SHIT WHAT ARE THESE CROWDS" aspect and replace the core conflict with actual ghosts. There are some unruly guests, sure, they even harass the player about their scars and how they don't show up in pictures. But, I think they should be able to enjoy their Halloween (for a short time >;3c)! I know I'd have to rework Diasomnia's whole Halloween shtick because the whole idea of longs was solely Malleus's idea and as you and all the characters can plainly see, there is no Malleus around to make that decision.

Halloween part 2 - STAYING

By god, this event is the crux and start of SO much plot, character, and relationship development it is INSANE. Now I know how this sounds, I sniped ghost marriage because I found it unlikely, and like I literally just said, Malleus isn't there, but it'll make sense once I explain it. Halloween makes the ghosts more powerful, and brings back the ghosts of all the boys from the kidnapping night, even Malleus's ghost. He's grasping for anything he can, so it makes sense that he'd manage to try to pause time before he fades and pull everyone closer to where he is, because he could only go to the spirit realm and not hang around in the living world like the others. It makes sense in the context of the events of the story so far, I can use it to actually have some sort of interesting interactions between characters, and if anyone asks me for the specifics of the absolute butterfly effect this event has, you will get a VERY long response. All in all, 10/10 event, staying.

Vargas Camp - STAYING

The player wouldn't be able to go, since they're not in any clubs, but we could definitely ship some of the boys off for a while. We are DEFINITELY toning down the absolute bullshit that occurs in the event, because Crowley would fire Vargas so hard he'd bring back the Salem witch trials, but yeah this event gets a pass.

Kelkkarotu - SNIPED

Scalding Sands - SNIPED

Sam's New Years Sale - SNIPED

How My Twst OCs Spent Winter Break ~ Part 1

With Book 5 soon on the horizon in EN, along with my mock event fic coming soon, I’d thought I’d share some some headcanons regarding how my twst babies spent their time between Book 4 and Book 5 since some of it will be relevant for the future.

This part will focus on Crisanta, Ione, Taima, Iman and Danica. Part 2 will be Sidonie, Farron, Maximilian and Vidaria. This does not include Yuulan, of course.

Crisanta was given the option to spend her holiday with either her mother or father and she chose the former. Even though she’s not on the best terms with her mother, she likes her much better than her father’s new wife and their kids. Honestly, she’d prefer to stay at NRC over the break but her little sister really wants to see her, so she agrees to come home. 

Things don’t start off very well at first as her mother has some unsettled resentment regarding Crisanta’s ability to use magic and the fact that her father left them for a very powerful sorceress. Even though she’s explained that her goal is to one day surpass her stepmother, that does little to help matters. Her younger sister has also begun showing magical proficiency. 

However, things aren’t all bad. At some point, while decorating the Christmas tree, a special ornament belonging to Crisanta’s mother shatters. It was a family heirloom from her great grandmother and meant alot to her. So she’s extremely upset when it breaks but it gives Crisanta a chance to display her usefulness with magic. In the middle of the night, Crisanta and her sister sneak downstairs and retrieve the broken ornament from the trash and together, fix it with a reparation spell Crisanta learned at NRC that requires more than one person to pull off.

The next morning, the sisters present the repaired ornament to their mother, much to her surprise and joy. Though she’s still a little wary about her daughters being magic users, this gesture opens her heart to the idea, just a smidge. And so Crisanta’s holiday break continues rather peacefully. And then on Christmas eve, Crisanta meets up with Ione and they go museum hopping together and share a box of petit fours.

Meeting up with Crisanta is one of the few highlights of Ione’s holiday break. The other is meeting Riddle by chance at an otherwise boring holiday party that her father forces her and her sisters to attend. Riddle and her parents are also attending, so they get to talk a little but unfortunately, they don’t get to sneak off or anything like that since Ione’s father is as strict as Riddle’s mother.  Mrs Rosehearts doesn’t much mind Ione and thinks she's a sensible girl but to stay on the safe side, they have to stay in their parent’s view at all times. Beyond that, Ione is happy to have a few weeks to spend with her ferret.

Taima’s winter break doesn’t have the best start but it eventually improves thanks to Yuulan. As a Scarabia student, she’s forced to stay behind at school for the first few days, which she doesn’t mind at first but dorm life quickly becomes Hell as Kalim starts to become uncharacteristically harsh with her and everyone else in the dorm. 

Yuulan and Grim’s arrival slightly improve things and she still hopes that she’ll be set free before Christmas since she has plans to meet with Danica. Kalim dashes her hopes when he announces that the Scarabia students won’t be leaving NRC after all and will stay for the entire holiday break. To make matters worse, Jamil instills Iman as Taima and Yuulan’s warden and she takes great pleasure in ordering them about and guarding their room at night. 

Finally, Taima, Yuulan and Grim concoct a plan to escape. They end up in Monstro Lounge and the Octavinelle trio help Taima leave NRC and return to Sunset Savanna. Unfortunately, Taima has an unsettling feeling about Kalim’s change of character and decides to return to NRC afew days later to make sure he and Yuulan are alright. Which turns out to be a terrible mistake. 

But eventually, after everything blows over, Taima is finally able to return home for good and spends the remainder of her holiday peacefully with her family, meeting up with Danica afew days before the new year. They, along with Lilianne, begin making their plans for the VDC. Lilianne doesn’t plan to compete for RSA but she’s more than happy to write a new song for her friends and Danica fills Taima in on what Vil has planned for the audition. 

Before Jamil puts his schemes in motion, he pulls Iman aside and gives her the option of leaving Scarabia because of her royal blood. He doesn’t tell her what he has planned, but he’s worried about the fallout if she tells her family about what happens and word gets back to Kalim’s family. She declines the offer in part to spend more time around him and also because she knows some of the Diasomnia students are also staying behind as well and hopes she can convince Vidaria to join her when she does return home. At first, she also doesn’t mind being held up in the dorm but Kalim’s change of attitude quickly sours things. 

When Yuulan and Taima escape Scarabia, she and Jamil have words and Iman begins to question Jamil’s true intentions and wonders if it was truly Kalim’s idea to keep the Scarabia students held up in the dorm over winter break. When Yuulan returns with the Octanivelle trio, Iman decides she’s had enough and asks Jamil if she can leave but unfortunately, her window to escape the ensuing fuckery has passed. 

She remains in her room for most of Octavinelle’s time at Scarabia because she has beef with Azul and doesn’t think very highly of the Tweels either. But when they expose Jamil over Magicam, she comes out of her room to see what's going on and she is shocked by what she sees. But she doesn’t have much time to process what's happening because Jamil quickly hypnotizes her and the other Scarabia students as his overblot takes over. 

Sometime after winter break and once the crisis has passed, Iman and Jamil have further words about all that happened. And while she doesn’t confess anything too deep to him, she admits that in her eyes, Jamil has always been number one. Their friendship remains distant for a while before VDC preparations get into full swing but Jamil considers what she’s said and his reluctance to get closer to her fades just a little bit. In the meantime though, after Jamil recovers, Iman is ready to haul ass back home and after some heavy convincing from Lilia, brings Vidaria with her to Scalding Sands for a few days. Much to Malleus’ dismay. 

Danica’s winter holiday actually begins a little earlier than the others. At least, she leaves NRC earlier, the day after Rook’s birthday. The reason she gets to leave NRC early is that one of her dreams is finally coming true, she’s going to be helping her parents by modeling for Ledelle Cosmetics! The photoshoot is very last minute since the original model fell ill but since it’s for a Christmas promotion, Danica must leave NRC early. Either way, she is extremely happy and at first, Vil is as well, until he finds out more details about this shoot. 

Since the videos of her dorm concert went viral and after Halloween, Danica has been receiving many modeling offers that Vil has very graciously been helping her manage. He always has an opinion on which offers she should take and which to ignore. She’ll also be dancing at a very exclusive masquerade ball on new years eve, with celebrities and nobility in attendance. Vil will be attending as well, but he doesn’t tell her. Though he’ll never admit it, he feels somewhat responsible for helping to “launch” Danica and can’t help but feel the slightest bit of pride at how this shy little potato is blossoming.

But in this case, Danica did not ask for his advice since Ledelle Cosmetics is owned by her family. As it turns out, she’ll be doing the photoshoot with Neige LeBlanche, and needless to say, Vil is far from happy about this. He tries many times to convince Danica not to do the photoshoot but she refuses. They argue but Danica remains firm. At one point, he even threatens to pull her out of the VDC but Rook and Sidonie overrule him. When Danica finally asks why Vil doesn’t want her to do this photoshoot, he doesn’t answer her but his manner towards her remains extremely cold up until it’s time for her to leave. It leaves her feeling very upset but not upset enough to cancel the photoshoot. Little does she know, Vil has plans for her during this break. 

Her photoshoot is a success and she finds her partner pretty amiable if not a little flat in personality. More than that, Danica is happy to be spending time with her mother who’s managing the shoot. She’s still a little distant but there are telltale signs that their relationship might improve in the future and she does express pride in her schoolwork. Christmas passes happily for the Ledelle’s, though Danica is slightly concerned since she hasn’t heard from Taima. To add to her distress, she gets an email from her old ballet master: her performance at the new years ball has been changed from a corps to a solo. 

Thankfully, Taima is fine and a few days before the new year's ball, Danica visits Sunset Savanna to hang out with her and Lilianne where they prepare for the VDC, and Danica vents her frustration about the change in her dance at the ball. On her last day in Sunset Savanna, the three girls go shopping and Danica is surprised when she ends up running into Rook…

On the night of the ball, Danica stays in her dressing room until it's time for her to dance. Feeling too anxious to socialize, especially since there’s no one she knows at this event. She and Rook text back and forth and his fawning comments help put her at ease until it’s time to take to the dancefloor. Thankfully, she has had time to choreograph a new routine with such short notice and the performance begins without a hitch. However, midway through the dance, Danica is joined on the dancefloor by a masked man. Her anxiety goes into overdrive and when he whispers to her not to slip up her heart races. 

She knows who he is, if the murmurs surrounding her weren’t enough, his handcrafted fragrance is a dead giveaway. It's very unnerving being so close to her dorm leader with nowhere to run but she manages not to falter by trying to pretend he’s someone else. This plan quickly backfires when he begins whispering instructions on what to do. Danica has never been more nervous but she finds herself taken by the grace of her partner and oddly enough, that’s what puts her at ease. The way his movements captivate is exactly what she aspires to as a dancer and she resolves that not only will she perform as though this was all planned, but that this will be her greatest performance yet. 

Towards the end, her movements take on a new sense of boldness, climaxing with a flawless grande jete, astounding all that are watching. But the second the music stops, Danica performs a quick reverence to her partner and the audience before running off as her anxiety goes into overdrive once again. But she’s not unhappy, just incredibly confused, with a whirlwind of emotions threatening to overtake her. When winter holiday ends and she returns to school, Vil does not mention what happened at the ball and she resolves not to bring it up either. Things are slightly awkward between them for a while but Danica does notice that Vil is no longer behaving cold towards her. The truth is, while Danica has passed several of his “tests” already, this is the first time Vil can honestly say he’s impressed with her. But this doesn’t mean he’s going to be any easier on her and she must never interact with Neige again, if he can help it.

Hey. same person who told you which A3! VAs can rap, again. TY for the Hisoka B-day translation. It was interesting. Though this is NOT a grammar correction, but when I saw the kanji 夜空 in 1 of the images, I thought the literal translation is “night sky” instead of “starry sky” where the kanji for that is “星空.”

In TWST, the next SSR New Year cards are Trey & Rook w/ Jade & Ortho as the SR New Year cards. Too bad this year will be the Year of the Dragon. Also, I did remember that when Kalim & Deuce were the New Year cards, it made me think of the A3! song “Yume Senri” sung by Citron’s & Azuma’s VAs. For Sebek’s New Year card, the TeamB New Year’s song “雷神” would fit, & for Vil’s New Year card, TeamC’s New Year song “紅に白” would fit. After seeing that Rook is the next New Year card, it made me think that TeamP’s New Year song would fit that card.

Speaking of TeamP’s New Year song, TeamP will do the New Year event where all the TeamP singers will sing the song “閃光の果て,” where according to the PV, it might be based on a battle on old Asian boats on the water where the TeamP members (except Maica who’s holding a temari ball, but PLEASE DON’T CALL HIM A GIRL WHEN SEEING HIS CARD) are holding a bow & arrow (though Nekome is holding a bunch of arrows). Also the BLACKSTAR songs released in the New Year events in order are TeamB’s “雷神,” TeamW’s “Shooooout!!!,” TeamC’s “紅に白,” TeamK’s “百花の咲駆,” & now TeamP’s “閃光の果て.” Though in another note, the results for the Christmas event were that TeamK won with TeamK giving the guests the champagne tower, but in the end, Ran & Sotetsu traded their information to each other. Also, TeamC did an end of the year performance w/ a TeamC special menu where the feat. dish is temari sushi which fits TeamC’s individual but harmonious teamwork (kinda like A3!’s Winter Troupe mature adult vibe) & gorgeous Asian motif style (not to mention, Mokuren is a big eater & sometimes wants to try different flavors in big portions, but Zakuro still prefers to eat inari sushi, hence the seasonal Zakuro 4★ waiter card holding temari sushi with the tofu skin for inari sushi on top).

----------------------------------- Yuuta’s Personality:  Cheeky, with a sharp tongue at times. However, Yuuta is rather reserved and tends to keep to themselves unless pushed to do otherwise. Plagued by amnesia and graphic “flashbacks” of past lives, Yuuta is often lost in their own thoughts around situations that feel like deja vu. Still, when you manage to get the Prefect to go out, you’ll find they’re just an eager teen longing to make the most out of their situation.  Still, the frequent blank look on their face is enough to leave anyone a little unsettled as they repeat words to Grim, almost script-like. An exact opposite mirror to their “Looking glass” copy, Alden. Alden is the one who took all of the Protector traits of their split being, acting as a guardian alongside Yuuta. Big photographer nerd- longs to participate in magic but watches in vain as Grim partakes in their magical courses.100% will pay to watch Ace and Grim fight. Loses it when Deuce goes Bad Boy mode and often joins in. ----------------------------------------------------- Yuuta Concept:  Yuuta encompasses the “Time Reset/Loop Theory” alongside the importance of the Ghost Camera hinted within Twisted Wonderland’s Prologue. “Yuu” is told to take as many pictures as possible of their school adventures by Crowley, speaking of the importance of them. The pictures capture a Memory, a piece of the past. With this theory, it is believed the pictures hold the key to “Bring things back that were lost” aka resetting time. When we go back to Prologue, we are greeted with an Overblotted Grim and ultimately defeated with no chance to win. Should we use the Ghost Camera and it’s memories to reset us back to “happier times”, surely we could prevent the events with time. Yuuta is the embodiment of hundreds of Yuus- Male, Female, nonbinary- Yuus of all walks of life that have reset the timeline with the Power of the Ghost Camera who have all died/almost perished at points of time. Due to no photos retaining a Yuu’s physical appearance/nature existing within the camera, their “Self” reset alongside the timeline. Birthing a new Yuu to replace what was lost. Losing more and more of their original self alongside memories. Yuuta was also split, representing Alice’s looking glass, creating a mirror copy known as Alden as a Safe Measure should Alden fail to stop Grim. Yuuta is not human- just fragments of past Yuus and a fabricated appearance to exist within the World of Twisted Wonderland. This is also why they have no place to return to when questioned by the Mirror. For they don’t truly “exist”. While they can’t recall past events other Yuus experienced, certain things feel scary and familiar- resulting in sudden and sometimes graphic flashbacks that are just fuzzy enough to feel both Real and confusing. This has led Yuuta to have a strained and difficult relationship with Grim due to the fear bubbling in their chest. Grim does not understand this, due to not recalling anything in the past timeline and at times tries to comfort Yuuta [ Future canon chapters ] when events get too vivid. They feel compelled to protect Grim and yet- are terrified of him. When Grim blew the lid off of the coffin in the beginning of Prologue after the timeline was reset once more- Yuuta and Alden were stuffed inside it together. Hand in hand, unaware of the Role Crowley had predetermined for them in this Twisted Tale. ------------------------------------------- Iconic events that happened in Yuuta’s timeline: 1: An unspoken promise to always be there for each other with Alden once they woke up. 2: Scared to death by the ghosts in Ramshackle that first night 3: Felt a wave of comfort upon meeting Ace and Deuce for the “first” time 4: Broke through the floor in Ramshackle while Ace and Deuce were on the first floor. Resulted in jokes to come for Weeks. [ Chapter 1 ] 5: Pelted Ace and Deuce with rolled up paper in class- got in trouble after being caught snorting. 6: Got super interested in Magical History, could be found in the school’s library often with Alden. 7: Frequently takes pictures of events/friends, keeping each picture in a special album as their prized possession. They keep it under their bed pillow. 8: After their first vivid nightmare at night, Grim tried to comfort Yuu by giving them a Tuna Can and curling up in their arms on the bed. 9: Halloween and Christmas, the ghosts of Ramshackle comforted Yuu when they felt left out not having any family to celebrate with. 10: Yuuta is courting/has a crush on Lilia, though they don’t explore it beyond fleeting moments until the events of main story conclude. They both find each other Very interesting and take it as a lesson to learn how to live as a human despite the reality. Yuuta may not be a human, but they can Live like one. And forge their own path. 11: Yuuta has scars on their arm from the “past” caused by Grim. When they’re attacked by Grim in Chapter 5-6, it leaves them shattered and inconsolable. Some reflections about Twisted Wonderland: Endless Halloween Night’s Event

I just finish to see the translation of the Part 1 of the new Twisted Wonderland Halloween event, Endless Halloween Night.

I retake my breath, and rethink about what happened and what could happen next with since the next part will be upload next week (^^!!!!). As a fantasy lover and writer, and also because I love to studies cultures and if, it is possible, to the most ancient roots of the legends, I couldn’t help myself about founding some cultural references in Twst’s Halloween (both last year event and the cards !). I just love this event because of the melting, meeting pot of influence. When I saw the event for the first time, I was amazed by all of the venue, the costumes. All the work, the references, the story... I can only tell a great thank you to Yana (for this event and the all universe ^^). Ins’t just disguises and pretend, it’s about costumes and becoming the ghost/monster/spirit. To make tribute.

I not gonna lie about the fact when I saw the trailers it truly surprised, excited and touched my curiosity at a point that my brain and my imagination had all ready start to imagine what going on  !

The students finally had a peaceful joyful Halloween’s festival and now... What happen to the committee team !? Not like I don’t complain to see one in a while some scary Malleus (he is a dragon and a dark fairy after all!!) but since he literally explose his most agressive side during the Halloween week (Scary Monster main event story chapter and , Cater SSR Scary Costume card)... I am afraid of what will happen, specially we see green lighting in the third and fourth trailer and Sebek look panicked and afraid (?) and Silver is on his guard, ready for fight. Riddle, Ace, Jamil, Floyd... everyone seems to be surprised, unsure of what going on, au aboits... and we see the the committee team members wonderfully scary...

So there is some topics and theory linked this Endless Halloween Night’s event that I wanted to share with you...

Okay...so we go....

A meeting-pot of culture and movies 

Right after the upload of the trailer, people talk about that new event will be a reference to Tim Burton’s movie such as Nightmare Before Christmas. Yes it’s quite possible that event will had indeed some Tim Burton’s leitmotifs but it can had also, as in the first event, some Pirates of Caribbean or Mulan’s influences as much to the sequence of  Mount Baltr with (Fantasia 2000) or other scary legends about Halloween. I think, like the first Halloween event it will be a meeting-pot of different Disney movies,  (as exemple, right in Part 1 of Endless Halloween Night, we have a direct reference about the Enchantress’s Mirror in the Beauty and the Beast.)  but also the boys’s respective hometown. The best exemple are the costume itself . Just some exemples: 

 - Sacrabia rewrite the theme of werewolf, a nordic legend. 

- Octovinelle had chosen the exact opposite of the mermaid, the mummy. If there is a lot of kind of mummies around the world, it is more the Egyptian one because of horror novels and movies, and with the mad-scientific’s venue, it can be also a reference to the cabinet of curiosité or  (sorry I don’t know the English word) in the XVIII-XIX where was exposed some strange relics such as dry fairy or mermaid mummies.  

- Diasomnia, which represented, in my opnion the western fantasy with medieval gothic castle, ancient dark legend and western dragon meet the eastern culture with the ryū/lōng. 

- The Pumking Knight is a direct reference to of course Sleeping Hollow’s Headless Knight  and its Irish counterpart the Dullaman but also to Jack O’Lantern with the pumpkin (I will return on that iconic character in few moment) .

 In Jade SSR Halloween card, we discovered who Halloween is celebrate in the Land of Pyroxnese, Hot Sand Lands, Harvest contry, under the sea or in the Valley of Thorns. It’s a true moment of where everyone are gathering, sharing in order to give to the visitors, and for themselves (!) a good and fun week. And it on this different Halloween traditions that I will talk about the next topic: 

About Halloween scary origin and the culprit 

In both Jade and Lilia’s Halloween cards, we see that in their hometown, Halloween is celebrate, at the first look as a joyful feast. In the Coral sea, the merfolk play music, in the Valley of Thorns the fea lit up wood-carved lanterns that represent a ancestor, are dressed at the image of that elders and dancing around a fire of joy in the Royal Castle’s courtyard while a scarecrow is burned (yes it’s certainly make reference to the scene in Sleeping Beauty, where Maleficent’s minions celebrated their victory but ins’t all...). When Jade and the Diasomnia’s boy told about that, everyone think these celebration are joyfull one like underwater festival and midnight costumes party. Well as we discovred longside the others, theses two Halloween are everything but not joyful !

In the Coral Sea, if merfolk are playing music it’s for keeping away and apeace the souls and the ghosts of every sailors whom died on sea and can’t move along to the Other Side. Remember in Pirates of the Caraibean At the World’s End,it was Davy Jones and the Flying Dutchman’s first task to take care of theses souls and help them to reach safely the Other World. According to sea legend, their is a lot of scary tales about these tourmented ghosts that died during storms whitout hope to see the shore again. 

In the Valley of Thorns, well, we know Lilia’s habit during Halloween, to become more and more dreadfull and scary every years until this famous night where all the inhabitant of the Valley, including Malleus (whom is the most fearfull magician of Twisted Wonderland ! ), were so scared and horrified that the memory of this dreadfull night give them goosebumps and the very trough to speak about frooze them !  But we know also that the Valley of Thorns is the only kingdom in Twisted Wonderland to not having modern technology such as electricity. Since the inhabitant seems to be in majority bieng  fairies and other supernatural creatures, they use magic for their daily needs and for me, this people, this kingdom represented dark magic. Not dark magic as the oppostion of light magic in the shema of Black/Evil vs White/Good magic. But Dark magic that came form the Dark Ages, where people worship and feared the forces of Natures and belived in the power of the supernatural being such as faiires or fea. The Ancients Ways....

There is a lot of reference about it trought Personal Stories, Voices Lines of the Diasomnia’s boys but just for stay focused on Halloween, I will take the scarecorw that is burned in the Castle’s Square.   

We all saw this image of a flamming scarecrow during Carnaval,  or Halloween but why we burn it ?  Well, it a device for thanks the spirit/gods (?) for the haverst but most of all a way to bannish bad things away.

[note : it’s also why witches were burned alive since the XV century (by the way it’s during that century that the Witch’s Hunt begun, not at the Medieval Age!!!!!)]

During Medieval Age and before, people were most fermers, people who live form the earth by product grain, vegetables or by raise aniamls such as sheeps, pigs or cows. The time where Halloween siting is the same as the end of the Harverst which had began at the begning of Summer. People garthered for return the product and the animas to the stockstore and the stables and the cold days comes more and more quickly. The cold began to froze the grass and the flesh, leafs falls, days became more and more short... With the Coming of winter, it is the return of the dark days. The sun, bearer of life and warm, will dispeare form the sky  until the 21 of December (Yule, Christmas) where it rise again. But until that day, the periode beteween the last days of october to mid december are darkest, coldest moments of the years where in the night the darkest being such as dragons, fae, monsters, witches or werwolf rules over the forests or around the lakes, where the mist invade the moors under the cold wind that annunciated winter. It the time where the nature lament. Yes. it’s the time where the ancient fear and the inhabitant of the World of Night return on earth alongside with the spirit of dead.   

One of the origin of the name “Halloween“ is “All Soul’s Eve/Night”. Every where around the world, every cultures had a season of the year where the spirit of the Other World came haunted this one (in Japan it’s during summer). In Europe it’s in november for the reason that I explain jsut above.    

Most of our modern Halloween’s traditions came form the Britain Island and before that form Irland, (where came also most of the tales about the fea ;-) ). A pagan feast is behinf Halloween. It’s Samhain. During that feast, the Clans gathering and celebrate both the end and the begining of the year, the end of the harvest and the memory of the ancestors. I will not talk about to much about it beacuse ins’t totally the main point of that post, (even it’s one of my favorite topics and may be I will post something about in the future), so let the most important of about that feast and even the moemnt where that celebratin happen. It’s said that during that period of the year, the veil between worlds, the Living and the Spirit Worlds, is the finer. The spirit can easly goes between these to edge, haunting, lamenting, wandering around the humans. During that days, ins’t not recommanded to goes out side, specially when during twilghit where the shadow engulf the world before nightfall and mist invaded the standing stones of forgotten tombs like in chapter of The Lord of the Rings: the Fellowship of the Ring with the Barrow-Wights. An other exemple, the two first episode of the fourth saison of BBC’s Merlin illustrated that two side of Samhain and more in particular the dreadful one. If the ghosts of the ancestors and good spirit return among the living, it is all the case of evil ones such as the wraith and ghosts full hate and lust of revenge... or lost souls such as Jack O’Lantern, the ghost of a man who can’t go neither in the Haven or in Hell and whom is cursed to wandering on earth until the end of Times with a turnip litup with a piece of flamming coal ( I pretty sure that our culprit is a kind of Jack O’Lantern or an other lost souls)   

Will-o'-the-wisp, Church Grim... all of this dark creatures are looking on of the soul of the dead, watching on their forever rest for tomb raiders and avoid that the most evil of ghosts disturb the Balance between the Living and the Other World.

The ghosts, wraiths and other dead spirit are not the only dangerous being to wandering during Halloween Night. According to Irish’s tales, if during the 21 of June and Beltain the fairies are, sad and tourmented. (Malleus confirm it in one of his Halloween’s voice lines). And unlike Good Fairy Mother or Thinckle Bell, ALL the fea are dangerous.  Even the action of the most beloven fairy can still harm someone and at the opposite some fea waiting only that a human feel in their trap... (thank goodness, ins’t the case of our two NRC’s favorites fea! ) 

Theory about what will happen next… 

Warning: For this part it’s just my opinions and theories ! Nothing canon !

So redarding all these fact, I really think that the culprit, is a ghost and may be perhaps several ghosts of dead children (we can see is on the event’s title).  

It’s true that Twisted Wonderland is more a teenager and adult world than a children one (both its characters than the audience). Expect , we didn’t so many children in that story. In fact it’s only during the Halloween’s week that we meet children. All of them are playful, full of wonder and joy, delight the fun and love the “nice“ monsters of NRC. Full of innocence and dream but..   as we know, children (and Grim) sometime want always that the fun never end and in that case the worst and dreadful scenario can happen whiteout realising that it’s hurt. The two best exemple that I present are the character of Lily in Pandora Heart or (and I think it is the best exemple) Skull Kid in The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask. 

Since Twisted Wonderland, through every characters’s background there alway  a sad, depressing and dark story, it will be not surprising to learn that the culprit/culprits is the ghosts of dead children that are died during a Halloween feast and never finished the party and so can’t reach the Other World peacefully. As we can see in Ghost Marriage’s event, ghost are all-powerful on the livings. Even Lilia had been frozen when Eliza slapped him and we know how powerful Lilia is. So a vampire-fairy and a dragon-fea ins’t a big deal. 

As Ashen-Eye said to Stella in Ancient’s Magus’s Bride, the no-human (fairies, supernatural creature) and the spirit (elemental, ghost, dead) heard all the words and wishes of human. Words had power and who know the true meaning of a word or a name, can use it at his will. [ both fairies and dragons are masters in that domain) The control of the True Name of thing/being is the base of magic in both folklore and fiction (Ursula K; LeGuin’s Earthsea, Tales form Earthsea, Spirited Away etc...). So imagine that these children ghosts, than wandering between the worlds, heard a certain monster-cat and a ginger Heartslabyul’s first years wish that Halloween night continue forever... 

Well... Be careful for what you wish for because the surperatural begins can argued that wish but most of the time, and I will not make a list of exemple because there to many of it, the wish will goes for the worst and turn into a living nightmare. 

If it’s how it’s happen, so why Malleus, Jack, Cater, Kalim, Vil and the other look like (gorgeously) demonic, evil and scary ? 

For some reason, I have the feeling it’s linked some how to what happen during the night where the Halloween committee’s members had chasing away, haunted and scared the Magicam Monsters.

Just like Jade and Vil said, at Halloween there is also scary ghost and a lot people misunderestimated that fact. It’s why, during that particular night where they bannsihing away the foolish Magicam Mosnter, all of them become the monster that they wearing the costume and the plan was a success !

By the way I will said in my opinion it was Diasomnia (they not even pretend to act like monster !), Heartslabyul (being buried alive is a true phobia and  the worst and dreadful death ever),Savanclaw (not being able to move and Leona’s Unique Magic) that was the most dreadful and scary.

So once again imagine that our ghosts culprits see Deuce, Cater, Jack, Jade, Azul, Vil, Epel, Jamil, Idia, Lilia and Malleus, pretending at different degres of acting, being the scary monsters, they will enjoy it and in their wicked desire to keep Halloween night forever they will take “the monsters“ into their twisted, dark and endless Halloween world... for more realism and fun.

Possession, transformation, amnesia and fake memories, I really dunno how/what it could be but I a hunted per sure that  all elven of them, will become the monsters/ghost they pretended to be and during in the previous event they defending that Halloween place/venue that became  a real place, no more a decoration...

AND I FEAR THAT THEY WILL NOT ACTING AT ALL !!!! 

Why I have the big feeling that our recurring team will had to fight the committee members order that the return to their normal self ?

Well it’s true that this Forever Halloween World is in black/white just like the memories after the overboot’s battle but it’s can be just a artistic choice. But what it sure it’s take the same path than both the overbolt and the Halloween’s dreadful night.  The firsts locations we discovered is a graveyard (Heartslabuy Skeleton’s venue), a cove with at the horizon a ship wreck (Savanaclaw Pirate’s Venue, an abandoned lab (Octovinelle Mummies’s venue) and a spooky, haunted, gothic like castle which look like the main building of NRC (may be Ramshackle resident since it is the Main Alley that our ghosts resident, Grim (probably Yuu too) chasing away the last Magicam Monsters). 

Oh jeez...

 If it is really the case... I am afraid about Diasomnia because even as their normal self, Malleus and Lilia are enough scary and dangerous !!!! I mean, when they chasing away the magicam monster they didn’t pretended to be !!    

Truly, except , there is no event in that story where we don’t must save the day, confront bolt monster, a crazy hunter teacher/students (Vargas’s Camp/Bean Day)... without the dorm leader’s overbolt and the invitation to hell ! (Ignihyde and Diasomnia’s arc)

But I love that universe ! ^////^

Hi! Your secret Santa event is so cute and original I'm dying to submit for it hehe! I'm a Sebek simp so can I request him? I imagine the gift giving would take place at the Diasomnia dorm, since nowhere else is worthy of Sebek’s time lol. 

For a gift, I’d like to give him a collection of King Arthur's legends, especially the ones about knights and bravery! 

Personality wise, I’m a very reserved person and I tend to be very polite but distant to people around me, unless they irritate or anger me, then I get a bit snarky and tend to judge them in my mind. When I’m comfortable, I tend to do and say anything to make others laugh, while also talking about my passions, like anatomy and fashion design. I enjoy giving gifts and spending money on others, and I hate being touched or looked down on. I also like people who are honest and willing to do things the hard way.

: ̗̀➛ Scenario: You're helping put gifts under the Christmas tree in Diasomnia's lounge with Sebek.

A/N: Since reader isn't Yuu and is from Twisted Wonderland, I couldn't really see there being a storybook about King Arthur, so I improvised there but kept the original aspect of it. I hope you don't mind!

"What did you need my help with, Sebek?" You asked as you walked into the room. Sebek had a huge armful of wrapped presents in his arms that he began placing under the tree. He looked up when you spoke.

"Ah, human, there you are!" He said, smiling. He still used the term 'human' despite you being in a relationship, though it's more of an endearment to you rather than his normal disdainful one he used for others. "I request your assistance in placing presents under the Christmas tree!" He said, gesturing to the presents.

"Oh, alright. Aren't you usually with Malleus though? Why not have other students help?" You asked curiously, taking some presents from him and putting them under the tree. "W- Well, Malleus-sama requested that I do this as it's a very important job! And who am I to say no to such a task? I would be a fool to turn down such an honorable job." He replied, quickly turning away. He handed you another present.

"Sebek, is something wrong?" You asked, noticing his odd behavior. He turned back to you as you went to place the present under the tree with the others. "Eh— no, don't put that one there, human!" He blocked you. You looked at him with confusion. He finally spoke up. "That one's for you."

You looked down at the package and it indeed was for you, from Sebek. "I'd like for you to open it now." He mentioned, his face flushed but he still had a serious expression on his face. You almost laughed seeing it as it was clear that he was embarrassed. You opened the package to see a book with a swordsman on the cover.

"It's a book about sword movements and stances." He said, clearly proud of his gift. "Oh yes, there are also detailed pictures of outfits worn by famous swordsmen from Briar Valley, as well as descriptions of hand movements and stances. I thought that while you learned about weilding a sword, you might also enjoy the clothing and movements aspects of it as well." He added, noticing your odd look. With that cleared up, you grew noticeably happier as you realized that Sebek had indeed kept your interests in mind while getting you a gift.

"That's so sweet of you, Sebek!" You said. "But why didn't you wait to give it to me tomorrow for Christmas?" He got a bashful look on his face. "I... had intended to. But Lilia-sama suggested it. He said it'd be more romantic."

You almost laughed out loud as you realized that Lilia hadn't actually been serious and had been teasing Sebek, who had taken it completely seriously. You spotted the present that you'd planned to give to Sebek amongst the ones under the tree. You picked it up and handed it him, your face just as flushed as his had been. He looked confused.

"Since you gave me my gift early, it's only fair that I give you yours now as well." You explained. He looked surprised but nodded. He carefully opened the wrapping paper to reveal your gift to him. It was a book that contained a storybook about famous warriors from all over Twisted Wonderland and talked about their bravery and chivalry.

When Sebek realized what it was, he literally got tears in his eyes. "Thank you, Y/N!I shall treasure this book forever! It will be passed down for generations as—" You interrupted him with a laugh. "It's just a book, Sebek, not need to be dramatic!" In truth, you were very embarrassed by his words. Though Sebek wasn't having it. "It's a present from you, it should be celebrated!"

You gave up trying to lower the dramatics and accepted him fawning over the book for a few more minutes before reminding him that you still had work to do.

After you finished organizing the presents under the tree, you went to Malleus to see if there was anything else you could help with. You found him using magic to pin Christmas lights along the corridors.

"Hm? Well, I was going to go place the presents under the tree, so I suppose you may assist by going to check on the progress of the food in the kitchen. Silver should be overseeing that with Sebek, I believe." He responded, both of you knowing what would have happened had Lilia been allowed in the kitchen. Instead, the short fae had been sent to chop down more trees to decorate the halls.

"Oh, me and Sebek already did that." You said. Malleus looked surprised but nodded. "Well then, I suppose I can go check up on Lilia once I'm done with these lights. You'll go check up on things in the kitchen?" He asked.

"Yeah." You said, walking down the corridor to the kitchen. It only occurred to you after you left that apparently Malleus hadn't told Sebek to deal with the presents.

I'm doneeeeee 😍 It was super interesting trying to decide how Sebek would react to things because like I said, I haven't written for him before. I hope I did alright! This was actually pretty fun despite of that though! I hope everyone enjoyed! 💚

Gonna talk about Disney (and by ext pixar) IP in Japan. mainly bc i’ve brought this up several times by now and i suppose you deserve an explanation

IP in Japan is technically a grey area. “What do you mean?”

What I mean is the Doujin works. 

Official Doujin works are those that are commissioned or approved by the company. 

Unofficial are those you’d find at an anime convention and online on sites like Pixiv and elsewhere. 

The first group is entertainment meaning games, musicals, songs events and park miscellaneous  .

Most well known franchise with Disney outside of Disney would be Kingdom Hearts* albeit recently lolol 

Behind this imo the second best known literature would be the manga Princess Kirara.

Both are self inserts but self inserts that interrupt the plots and have similar goal. Except KH eventually jumps into Pixar and Princess Kirara is solely Disney.

Basically Arina’s Frozen II adaption was commissioned by Disney lol. Couldn’t find anything on a jp ver so it might exclusively be for overseas outside of jp???

Another well known Disney related game is Twisted Wonderland (abbv. Twst) by Aniplex and Disney. It’s an ‘inspired’ official doujin game and falls into the grey area. with art by yours truly yana toboso-sensei

Then there’s TDR. Let’s be real, TDR is really just a really big official doujin owned by OLC with IP rights from Disney. 

So how does this fall into TDR?

TDR used to have a seasonal Halloween entertainment, Happy Villains. They’re gender-bent of famous Disney Villains, different from the inspired OCs in Twst and kinda treated as official???? (no merch afaik) But also because jp Halloween is different from the typical western Halloween. Christmas too but thats a different story

Funnily they both have similar villain and themes. (Save for a few) Although i’ve noticed the genbent villains insporation from the parks was used for the faculty in Twst too!

Other forms of entertainment include the ‘Koe no Oujisama’, the utaite (cover singers) collaboration cd ‘Connected to Disney’, this also means they have the right to preform the song live -> Shoko Nakagawa (the va not the singer for movie rapunzel) singing wwmlb, the healing incantation, and istl at a concert**. (idk how it it overseas since I’ve seen the songs sung outside of ‘concerts’ on talent programs so I’m assuming might be something different there?)  then again filming policies are different but that’s also for another day

Remember when Idina Menzel was invited to jp for a tv program yeah lol. While it’s not IP usage persay this is just a form of pr in jp and kr lolol

The second group is merch,

Store collaborations like the Oh My Cafe (official from the looks of it) cafe, GSC nendroid collab series (this can fall two ways actually with both twst and mainstream Disney bc GSC does listen to fan requests) and Ichiban Kuji/ UFO catcher prizes with Banpresto. seriously have you seen the ufo catcher prizes??? broke me is crying

This is similar to the jp Moomin branch we don’t talk about the 60s anime since that was an attempt at the moomin IP but they said screw source materials until the 90s reboot with actual input from Tove’s family

Other things include the ultimate princess celebration special bonus merch and merch bonuses in general. Glimpse at a jp media magazine next time (nakayoshi, wsj, b’slog, spoon2di), if you can, usually the bonus is mentioned on the cover and you’ll feel a bump from the packaging either midway in-between or behind the magazine. There’s even a TDR magazine (no bonus included)!!

US IP seems to be getting somewhere with merch IPs with spinoff books like the Twisted Tales and other YA books as of recent, hallmark ornaments, Funko pops and McDonalds, but that’s all I can think really and haven’t seen them slap the Disney logo onto any other stuff that much lol 

imo US IP tends to be more/less??? entertainment focused? Like (long runners) Disney on Ice and the Broadway musicals, Now That’s What I Call Music, and most recently Cirque du Soleil. now if they’d stop giving their tv series the 3s curse

EU IP the only ones I can think of atm is the Bullyland figurines (Germany) and  Piscou comics (France).

So Far on Twisted Wonderland “Scary Monsters!~Endless Halloween Night~” Part 01/Main Story •Everyone is finally done parade Halloween day. Unfortunately, a mysterious unknown isn't happy if Halloween is over. •Trey waking up Ace by tell him that Deuce and Cater is missing in the middle of the night. Not just them, Riddle got report from other Heartslabyul students that others also missing too. Disappear without any clues. •Everyone report to NRC staff along Dire Crowley about the missing students. •The missing students is: >Deuce >Cater >Jade >Azul >Jack >Vil >Epel >Kalim >Idia >Malleus >Lilia >Grim & Yuu(MC) •The culprit left a notes to the dark mirror, that's already been control the time space between dimensions. “Gather everyone in venue school with dress code costume before end of month Halloween.” If everyone didn't what culprit wishes, all the students it kidnapped will stuck in dark mirror dimensions Forever. •Without a choice, Trein and Divus command all students left to rescue them before end of month Halloween. Of course Sam gave them a special mirror necklace for help them communication once they're in dark dimension of Halloween.

•Ace and Deuce already rescue MC after take MC to Ramshackle Dormitory.

•The Headmaster surprise to hear what happen to Grim. He said Grim is caught by Overblotting . Overblotting is a phenomenon that occurs when the victim's body overflows with blocks that cannot be stored up. Blots are wastes produced by magic. It contains strong toxins and stagnant magic. And it forms a huge incarnation that seems to embody the strong negative feelings of the victim.

•Dire Crowley already did talk to Mickey Mouse when MC's left to find Grim.

•VDC is must go on for another held event.

•Dire Crowley believe Grim is a demon beast.

•Dire Crowley ask all Dorm leader and Teachers to find Grim right away.

•Ortho and Idia already caught Grim in the middle of woods.

•Pomefiore and Scarabia along Ace, Deuce, with MC discussion about this another event VDC. Vil said, maybe there'll be another competition beside dance and singing.

•Suddenly, Ignihyde's robot sabotage to Ramshackle Dormitory. They said they're target Jamil and Vil for something.

They're non-governmental organizations that don't belong to any government in any country. It is a magic laboratory that has been studying blotting for a long time.

Carrying the soul of mourning to the island of mourning. Because of its role, it is also called "passing guard". Leona explain that usually, the magician who caused the overblot is often dealt with by a magical force magic executor or a magic riot police. In some cases, it can still get out of hand. That's reason why they saw them was probably because of the emergency.

So in my opinion is more like “Anti-Magic” organization.

But now lead by Idia Shroud. Stay tuned for official Twisted Wonderland news next month.

If the Christmas event is true it should go to hell twst made us because of the Pomefiore chapter enough , the Christmas event should really go to worst hell

Lol I wasn't really sure how to react... anyways.

First off, I think we don't need to worry about the rest of the Pomefiore chapter anymore because the rest of the story is already announced to be released at the late December so that isn't much of a concern. Twst on the other hand is aware of how long Pomefiore fans have been expecting new updates on the story so again and they most likely aren't going to delay the story anymore otherwise it might end in losing fans. (That wouldn't be much but still)

But the story with the Christmas event is a totally different thing. First off, we're still unaware of how the time is being functioned through he story's timeline as students were on their winter holiday back in the Scarabia chapter. Yet they still held the Halloween event just a few months after that which is quite a paradox in the timeline. Therefore they can do the same thing again and give us a Christmas event all though the winter holiday has already taken place a few months ago.

Also about the students returning to their hometown, once again we aren't sure of how they're going to pull the story together and create a Christmas plot so we can't tell hoe they're going to deal with that part, but let me tell you: If they want to give us a Christmas event, they'd eventually do so. Even if it seems quite odd to happen.

Note that Disney's also got two very important holidays and often holds specials and events for them, and those super important holiday events would be 1) Halloween and 2) Christmas.

Christmas had always been a very special event throughout Disney's story and this is why I somehow expect them to hold a late Christmas event, though it's just my personal theory and even if they don't manage to hold a Christmas event, it's totally fine! Especially after Scary monters' event which was a considerably big event and had surely taken a pretty long time to be worked on.

Also, let's not forget that while almost all of the fandom is waiting for Pomefiore's final episodes, many fans are also excited to get a Christmas event! We're all sad that the Pomefiore story had been delayed over the past month but this didn't hold us back from enjoying what they gave us through the Halloween event and training camps! It's true that we're expecting the Pomefiore chapter, but this hasn't made most of the fans come to dislike getting an special event like the christmas!

A Christmas event on the other hand would surely be an exciting experiment for the most of the fandom, and I really appreciate how the staff are still working their hardest to prepare the stories asap even as they're struggling with the pandemic!
