Miles' work husband

Hobby casually walking with Pavtri and Gwen, the three finished a mission from a world filled with fairies. So they were covered in pixie dust that got Gwen sniffing like crazy. "AH-CHOO! Ugh, man! This is worse than pollen!" She sniffs feeling terrible.

"Oh no, you need some allergy medication?" Pavtri asked with worry, "Maybe we should go to Med-Bay and get some pills."

"AH-CHOO!" Gwen sneezed next to Hobie. Luckily they were all wearing all their Spidey mask, which was bad for Gwen. All her snot and spit went her mask making Pavtri give a disgusted look.

Hobie gave a stank expression under his mask. YUCK! "Aye, you good, Gwendy?"

Gwen groans, "UGH! This is so gross. I'm going to Med-Bay. I need some allergy pills!" She remove her masks showing her upper lip being wet.

"Maybe go to the bathroom first, because that looks really nasty." Pavtri hums at her trying to be kind.

"Yeah, I should." She cover her lower face feeling grossed out and embarrassed about it. "God, I wish Kaine was here! At least, I know he would warned me about that place!"

"Oh yeah, he has a cute fanny pack now!" Pavtri giggles.

Hobie's arched his left eyebrow being curious about this new Spider-man. "Kaine?"

"Oh, he's recently new to HQ- um, I'll go wash up. Pav, give Hobie the TEA and DON'T TELL HIM ABOUT WHAT THE PEEPS ARE SAYING ABOUT HIM AND... mm-mmm!" Gwen left at that, she rushes through the restroom.

"OHHHHH! OKAY!" Pavtri nodded at this being excited about sharing some sweet gossip.

Hobie being a laid back person, he never cared about other people business or their own drama in Spider Society. Also, Pavtri always keeps the punker well informed about everything going on HQ. The bubbly guy is an encyclopedia of every Spider-men and their drama. He can tell which Spider-man ate a blueberry muffin at the cafeteria at twelve in the afternoon.

"So," Pavtri's voice broke Hobie's train of thought. The punker finally looks at his friend with interest. "Kaine Parker is a clone of Peter Parker! He was one of the first clones before Ben Riley, and he's so nice! I mean, really really nice!"

"Okay? How does he look?"

"His suit is sort of like Miles' color scheme, black and red. Mostly red." Pavtri said, "As his face? Hmm, I dunno know how he looks. I heard he had a defect so part of his face is disfigured and he's very self conscious about it."

"Ah, poor lad." Hobie simply said.

"Yeah! He's a sweet guy! You should meet him! He's into a lot of nerd stuff like Lord of the Rings, Star trek or Starwars." Pavtri happily ramble, "And he's so awkward, too. I'm glad he got Miles to help him out on missions."

"Miles know him?" Hobie casually asked, he wasn't jealous... yet. He learned to not get his insecurities get the best of him.

"Yeah, they work on the same schedule, and they tend to always team up. I'm surprised you haven't seen him! He's always around here hanging out, and helping as much as he can."

"Sounds like a nice mate."

"Oh yeah!" Pavtri kept talking without thinking about what he was going to say, "Everyone knows him, so you gotta meet him. Him and Miles also does this funny handshake every time they meet."

"So they're friends?" Hobie asked, his magazine body turning into a muted yellow being curious about this. He's okay, no jealousy here.

"Huh uh, everyone thinks they are funny together, even on missions they get each other." The wavy haired Spider-man giggles at the memories, "It's no wonder they called each other work husbands-OPP!." He quickly slap his mouth shut by his own words leaving him out.

"What?" Hobie's whole body turned into a dark grey mixed with red alerted fonts.

"NOTHING!" Pavtri quickly meep.

"Pav, mate...'" Hobie creepily sway himself like a snake to meet his friend's eyes, "What did you say?"

Pavtri nervously stood holding his breath, damn he sometimes wish he sew his mouth shut. Hobie always reacts like this. Oh why he couldn't keep quiet!

Without a second heartbeat Gwen came to the rescue, she came with paper towels wiping her wet hands from using the restroom. Her face refreshed and clean from snot, "Gwen! Oh thank Brahma!" Pavtri quickly hides behind her with a small whisper. "I'm sorry."

"Wha?" Her blue eyes look back and forth between her friend, "PAV, you didn't!" She hissed as she noticed Hobie turning red with black fonts flashing through him.

"I'm sorry! I didn't-" Hobie cut them arguing, "Gwendy, what is going on?"

"Uhhh.... nothing, heh?" Gwen stood nervously with Pavtri hugging her.

"Gwen. Pavtri." A warning sound from their Hobie which they never heard his voice deep and it was rare for him to use their names! "What. Is. Going. On?" His dark eyes on them.

"Uhhhhh...." Gwen looks down the floor to the open space of the hallway, "promise you won't get mad?"

"Mm...." He saw them waiting for him to make the promise. "Fine. I promise." His black and red colors on his were showing more seeing he was frustrated.

Gwen and Pavtri look at each other then decided to tell him. "Okay, so Kaine and Miles been on missions and hanging out for a while...."

"I heard." Hobie crosses his arms across his chest feeling upset.

"So everyone that worked with them since they are friends... they like to say they are each other work husbands... heh." Gwen slowly said.

"Work husbands? And what is that?" Hobie scowls a bit already having a foul mood.

"It's like having a husband, but at work! They just work so well on missions, Hobie. Everyone makes fun of them being so sync- there's nothing wrong with having a bit fun! Hobie, we swear him and Miles are-" Gwen saw Hobie walking off already jealous. "Ah, shit! Pav, I told you to stay quiet about this!" She walks to follow Hobie before the punker does anything ridiculous.

"I'm sorry! But what did you expect! I'm always talking!" Pav defend himself. He follows her with a panic in his mind. "You don't think he'll get upset!"

"Gawd, I hope not!" She said out loud as they follow Hobie.

Hobie follows his watch where he sync with his beloved Sunflower. The moment he got to a room where a lot of Spider-heroes appeared from their portals, he saw Miles coming out of the portal with a Spider-man wearing red and black.

"Wow, man. That was such an awesome world! I didn't know we had to learn magic!" Miles laughs along side the Spider-man.

"Right! The fight with the orcs! I never thought it would be so much fun!" Kaine laughs along being taller than Miles, possibly the same height as Hobie, but with more muscle. The guy accidentally tripped, "OPP!"

"I gotcha man!" Miles quickly caught Kaine in his arms and they were laughing. The two were being goofy. Hobie felt a wave of jealousy seeing his Sunflower smiling with that perfect smile from a Spider-man. No, only he gets to make him smile.

"Haha, thanks man!" Kaine gave him a side hug. "I can't wait for next week."

Next week? Hobie tilted his head being confused.

"Oh yeah, Ganke so want a rematch." Miles giggles.

Kaine was about to speak until, he noticed the famous Spider Punk appearing behind the Miles with one hand around Miles' waist being protective. "Hobie!" Miles turns to be startled by his man.

"Hello, luv!" Hobie pulls Miles close to him, then his eyes stare over to Kaine, "Who's this?"

"OH this is Kaine!" Miles introduce him.

Kaine nodded with his hand sticking out, "Hi, Kaine Parker! Earth 617! I'm sort of a clone of Peter Parker, but in my world he actually died by some complicated stuff and I got to take over.... it's a whole thing!"

"Huh..." The tall punker sounded like he's listening but his eyes would go back to his partner. This time he slouches on Miles making him stumble a bit by his weight.

"Ohfff, baby! You gotta warn me next time! I almost fell." Miles found his stance and stood while holding on to his partners' weight.

Kaine's brow bone arched showing from his mask, "He's a cuddler?" He stood amazing on Hobie's body changing into a soft pink with hearts all over. It's very fascinating to watch. Kaine had more a dark harsh lines like an intense ink comic book style.

"Yeah, always!" Miles giggles as Hobie acted like a toddler wanting his parent to pay attention to him. He rubs his cheek against Miles' soft baby cheeks, he's like a cat. "Bae, I'm talking."

Hobie quickly hugs him being jealous. "Oh, I'm sorry, Kaine!" Miles chuckles nervously, "Hobie is always like this."

"Nah, your good! I didn't know the famous Spider Punk was this friendly." Kaine chuckles.

"Hey, you two!" A Spider-woman with duo chrome of green and yellow metallic spider suit with a black spider printed on the middle of her chest. This one had a high pony tail with long brown hair.

Hobie turns his head looking confused, "Who's this, luv?" He asked.

"Oh this is Kitty Pryde! She's a Spider-woman on Earth XM129, she got sweet super powers like me!" Miles said happily.

"Hahaha, I go through solid objects." She took off her mask to reveal her face. Kitty had such a pretty face almost like angelic doll with brown eyes and soft pink lips with small nose. "Spider Punk?"

"I don't believe in labels."

"Ahh, gotcha." Kitty heard Spider Punk is a pro activist at heart, always going against the government, the system. Not surprised of this introduction. Then she turned to Kaine, "So Kaine, how was your hubby in the magical world?"

"Hubby?" Hobie's head pop up from his cuddle with his boyfriend, he's full on alert. His body turning grey with a flash of yellow.

Miles placed his hand on his boyfriend's chest, "Relax, bae. It's a funny nickname everyone says about me and Kaine."

"Ohh, are you jealous?" Kitty watches at Hobie's body with amusement, "Don't worry it's all a joke. Miles and Kaine are work hubbies."

"Work hubbies?" Hobie turns his head at Miles, then places his hands on his lover's shoulders, "No, this is MY boyfriend, mates!"

Miles rolled his eyes, "Hobie! It's all a joke-" His boyfriend buries his head into his chest, "No, you're my boyfriend, luv!"

Kaine held his hands up in defense, "We get it, but it's everyone that likes to joke about it. Don't worry I'm a taken man!"

Kitty giggles having her arms wrapping around Kaine's right arm, "Hehe, he's not listening, bae."

Hobie already acting like a child about this, "Luv, I thought you and I were supposed to be together forever!"

"We are! Baby, we're just friends that work well on- WHOA! Hobie, put me down!" Miles never felt so embarrassed being picked up like a bride.

Hobie nuzzles his partner's cheeks again, "This is better, Sunflower!" He protectively carry his boyfriend. "Ain't I make a better work husband for you."

Miles let out a loud sigh, "Yeah..." No use now! His boyfriend is already jealous.

"I love you, Sunflower!" Hobie planted kisses on his cheeks.

Kitty giggles, "Awe, so cute! Hobie, you know Miles and Kaine put their names as Hubby 1 and 2 on our logs!" A log where many Spider-heroes sign up to partner up or go in groups for missions.

"AH!" Hobie stood in shock before he whines, "SUNFLOWER!"

"DON'T ENCOURAGE HIM, KITTY!" Miles shouted, "Ahh, Hobie!" His boyfriend began telling him how much he loves him and snuggling him. A whole rant about he never felt so betray!

"Kitty, you know you did that with Gwen!" Kaine said to his girlfriend.

"Hehehe, I know. It's just I heard Hobie gets all cute with his boo when a man comes into Mimi's life." Kitty giggles as she watches the two. Pavtri's blog on Spider So-City was never wrong. They are a cute couple.

the people who are pissed at Natalie's death and writing off the show bc it turns out the point of Yellowjackets wasn't some 3rd wave feminist #yas queen parable about rejecting societal norms and finding true freedom in the woods remind me of the annoying Intro to Womens Studies nerds who interpret the ending of The VVitch--y'know the movie where a malevolent entity uses starvation and grief to destroy the minds of an entire family so that he can isolate and sexually enslave the isolated & devastated eldest daughter for eternity--as a cathartic feminist metaphor.

people, the principal says it in the first minutes of the show: "all i know is that what happened was a tragedy. A terrible tragedy."

A. TRAGEDY.

because the Yellowjackets worked their asses off to get to Nationals. It was the biggest moment of their lives. They LOVED soccer. They were FREAKING PUMPED to get to Seattle and win the title. This was their DREAM.

because Jackie was a happy, perky kid from suburbia who was looking forward to going to college with her best friend. who found something to love about literally everyone but was doomed because you can't rally a starving team with a rousing speech and an ice breaker

because Shauna was going to go to Brown and grow up and find the confidence to be HERSELF instead of Jackie's best friend. And then she and Jackie have a fight and Jackie dies because of Shauna's betrayal, Shauna's jealousy, Shauna Shauna Shauna. Jackie will be a child forever because of Shauna, so how could Shauna dare grow up? She can't put her grief to rest because Jackie was never laid to rest because of Shauna. So Shauna comes out of the wilderness and marries Jackie's boyfriend and has Jackie's child and gets older year after year but never grows up because one night when she was 17 and scared she and Jackie had a fight and Shauna waited until the morning to say "I'm sorry."

because Taissa had a plan, had goals, had a future already mapped out. Nationals. Howard. Law school. Becoming a hot-shot NY lawyer. Because she got out of the wilderness and kept chugging along with The Plan because she HAD TO. But none of it is real to Taissa because you can't live and be numb, and Taissa has to be numb because if she lets herself celebrate the wins that she managed to swim while her fellow survivors sank, she’d have to remember that she too killed and ate her friends to get there. And Taissa--so distressed by what they did to Jackie she dissociated into amnesia--can't accept that, can't have that be who she is because it would ruin everything she wanted for herself. And then it's all ruined anyway.

because Lotte was a girl with psychic powers AND schizophrenia. She needed her meds!! Stopping treatment cold turkey is painful, disorienting, and SCARY, she needed support, she needed someone to tell her what was real and what wasn't because without her meds it was impossible for her to discern for herself. She needed support but got made into a god instead. And now a false prophet is all she knows how to be.

You get the idea.

The Yellowjackets didn't find freedom from society and the chains of the patriarchy when their plane crashed. They found starvation and guilt and loss and pain. The wilderness isn't a god of decadence and pleasure and ecstasy. It takes more than it gives. The team got to survive in exchange for slavish devotion and grief, and their childhoods, their dreams, their achievements, the people they loved more than themselves, the lives they’d been perfectly happy to keep on living.

They get rescued, go home, and grow into fractured adults who all, to varying degrees, actively make their lives worse because functionally, they're still scared, guilt-ridden kids lost in the woods who know no matter what that nothing will ever be okay again.

NONE OF THEM are glad that this happened. NOT ONCE does anyone say, "You know I'm grateful for this awful traumatizing experience because without it, I never would've [X,Y,Z]" NOT EVEN MISTY, who broke the transmitter so she could have friends for 5 more minutes. THIS SHOULD TELL YOU SOMETHING.

Station 19 7x05

Well, that was one excellent episode! My only criticism, if I have any, would be that it wasn't the series finale. Because if so they would have succeeded, and now they're facing an even bigger challenge. But okay, let's not cross that bridge till we get there.

This week started off as heavy and depressing as last week, with the exception of Maya being back and being the only one walking around bright and shiny - something I feel we haven't seen since season 1. I'm really glad though to see her this happy and content again. Now let's hope she can hold on to this feeling for a bit, before life starts to throw curveballs again. I also loved her scenes with Andy, to finally see them the way we met them again: as real friends, who're there for each other, and rooting for each other.

Carina's scenes in the garage were good as well, it was a well written little side story that brought some (more) action, but got wrapped up in time to not bother the (pace of the) main story that deserved all the attention. Her final scene with Maya was sweet, with a nice outcome (for a second I was afraid Maya would suggest to get pregnant, which could mean no more action scenes for her, so I'm glad she offered this solution instead).

But let's move on to the actual main star of this episode: the action!

Yes people, we got it. Finally!! We got fire, we got scary heights, we got heroic rescue scenes (seriously, how amazing was Vic?!) and we got all of them working as a team - with an absolute fantastic shot of them leaving the scene together as one. And the fact that all of that happened in the iconic Needle, right before this Seattle firefighter show is about to end? Even better. So thank you for that. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Azure Gleam Ch 10

Onto AG Ch 10. Slowly making my way through all the Hopes routes.

MAIN STORY

Guys, I finally made AG Ch 10. Between wisdom teeth and a concert and FE Engage and other stuff I haven't had a lot of time to actually play much.

Aegir is not leading Adrestia well. It's so funny to me that so many dads got white-washed but they still left him an idiot.

So we're starting part 2. And Adrestia has gone to shit. I guess the nobles went full maniac the second Edelgard's gone. It's really a nation of sociopaths.

Rhea just said "knaves." I love that word.

Ohhh, Rhea brought up that lack of donations that Dimitri noticed in Houses, cool call out.

And they're putting it all together. Thomas, Cornelia, Thales - I love this, you guys. Dimitri and co getting to go after the people who did Duscur. Don't get me wrong, Edelgard is the far superior villain to TWSITD. And if I had to pick between the two, I'd pick her. But given that Dimitri gets two stories, I'm glad one of them gets this.

Claude is here!??? Does this mean he's not siding with Edelgard in AG? It'll be funny if he's the smartest in Dimitri's route - again.

Oh, we get a Claude and Dimitri team up? That's pretty cool. I doubt we get to use him though.

So it's cannon now that all three (church, Kingdom, and Alliance) are all weaker put together than Adrestia as one.

I also just noticed since Adrestia went full evil, that Dimitri is morally right in invading them to rescue the citizens lamo. He's really the "good boy" in Hopes. Though, he always was if you just removed the massive trauma events.

We're going to reclaim Garreg Mach! Cool.

Pretty cool seeing Rhea, Dimitri, and Claude all talking strategy.

Claude seems like he still wants to get rid of the church. But Dimitri's too realistic about it haha. The only one not living in an anime power fantasy.

Oh, cool, got some Golden Deer members playable now. And Lorenz uses his few lines to drag Claude lol.

If Rodrigue is in the West, does that mean no Rodrigue this chapter? Big sad.

MAP/SIDE QUESTS

Haha, some random merchant just said Dimitri lifted a whole ass cart out of the mud (she only later found out Dimitri did it).

This is the only route that lets Catherine and Shamir be girlfriends. By default it's the most superior.

Ingrid's alive again 😭

Interesting fact, Sylvain's mom actually really cared about Miklain.

Dedue is worrying about Dimitri and his overly enthusiastic work ethic.

I love how Edelgard is like we must have war to end nobility and promote commoners, meanwhile Dimitri is knighting and promoting commoners left and right and no one gives a shit. Meanwhile, Edelgard can't promote willy nilly because the Empire nobles will throw a fit. I wonder if she actually bothered to learn anything about Faerghus she'd realize how different it is and how they'll solve their own issues on their own terms.

SHEZ & ASHE A SUPPORT

Shez didn't get any answers about her mother.

Shez makes peace with it by saying she still loved her mother as a good mother regardless of what past she might has had.

They make some guesses what the mom's past is.

They were happy with the journey even if the destination was a disappointment (or never happened at all)

OH! Ashe got a letter at the end! But that's their A Support. So what's in the letter?????

SYLVAIN & ASHE A SUPPORT

They're learning strategies from Loog's past battles and learning more about Loog (who's pretty mysterious).

Sylvain is impressed with how smart Ashe is.

He's also jealous that Dimitri gets a knight like Ashe and offers to "steal" Ashe, but he shoots that down saying "only Dimitri." That just makes out of AG Ashe hurt worse.

Oh! Dimitri offered for Ashe to take over the land Lonato used to rule rather than always be a knight. Ashe likes that.

Ashe fawns over Sylvain's intelligence too.

I love seeing this mentor, teacher, more mature Sylvain.

ANNETTE & MERCEDES A SUPPORT

It's their only support, but at least it's A!

Since they're both nervous about the battle, they decide to chat.

Awww, I love that we're getting some details about their time at the sorcery school together. Apparently they'd chat together till dawn.

They talk about how they've stuck together through everything. Which makes outside SB Mercedes depressing.

Haha, Annette saved Mercedes from a bandit trap, but was in such a panic that SHE fell into the trap and needed Mercedes to heal her lol.

"Everything's better with you." Annette to Mercedes.

They plan to make lists of things they want to do after the war and then will do them once it ends. (if they had this discussion and then Mercedes defects, that hurts)

That was so wholesome.

MERCEDES & INGRID A SUPPORT

Ingrid is kicking ass in training, so Mercedes brings snacks to reenergize everyone.

Oh course, it tastes amazing, because it's Mercedes.

Ingrid wishes they were as relaxed around her as Mercedes, but Mercedes says that Ingrid is kind to them in a different way (mother Mercedes is here again!)

Mercedes bring up Ingrid's brothers and how it's probably like that.

Hahaha, Ingrid says she's going to show Mercedes her affection. And Mercedes is like "where is this going?!" Poor girl probably got excited lol.

You know what I also just realized? With Dimitri in charge, Ingrid doesn't feel pressured to marry. She's just a knight and living her best life and I love that for her (and we stan a king who stans women)

DIMITRI & BERNADETTA B SUPPORT

Is it petty that I feel a bit smug about Dimitri getting an Empire support but Edelgard didn't get a Kingdom one? lol

She's sneaking about and Dimitri finds her and she freaks out. So typical Bernie support lol. Poor thing trips over crates.

OMG. Bernie is like "this is the worst" and Dimitri naturally assumes HE's the worst lamo. OMG, Dimitri, baby, no. Thankfully she clears that up.

I kinda wondered why these two got a support and it actually makes a lot of sense. Dimitri doesn't sleep and Bernie sneaks out at night, so yeah they'd run into each other.

Dimitri's not offended because her being from the Empire means she's afraid of the Kingdom's king. Fair.

Bernie thinks he's going to execute her and he calls her a valuable ally instead. That's a bit sweet, not going to lie.

Dimitri then swears by his father's name, and Bernie's like "ok, I'll tell you." It's pretty funny how sincere they both are in very different ways.

Bernie exhausts Dimitri lol.

SYLVAIN & YURI C SUPPORT

Starts with the classic "..."

They're talking about Miklain. Yuri's like the rumors about his violence seem exaggerated. Sylvain's like "naw." You have no idea how much I love that Sylvain is like captain of the "stop making excuses for Miklain club"

Yuri makes it sound like Dimitri preyed on Miklain's inferiority complex to recruit him (saying uncrested people could get a chance to prove themselves).

Sylvain's impressed with Yuri's cunning.

Man, Yuri thinks Sylvain is just waiting to kill him for some reason and has a murderous smile. But this impresses Yuri. Sylvain is like "mixed messages, dude."

SYLVAIN & INGRID A SUPPORT

Ingrid's overwhelmed by noble work, which makes her appreciate Sylvain, Felix, and Dimitri more.

Sylvain responds by . . . asking her out (well, to dinner)

Sylvain said that they're "basically family" and said Felix and Dimitri feel the same way 😭😭😭😭 I can't.

Sylvain says we appreciate the things that stay the same because we can't stay in the past (or shouldn't) which is actually kinda deep for an FE support convo at least

Of course it devolves into Ingrid and Sylvain bickering about him gawking at her eating lol

Hearing them talking about how much they love their friendships and how they'll always be dear to each other makes recruiting any of trio to CF just criminal. I personally find it way more cruel to recruit them away from their homes and families than to kill them (i.e. the true way to play CF in "evil mode" is to recruit most of the Blue Lions and I will stand by that)

SYLVAIN & SHEZ A SUPPORT

Sylvain feels bad that they dragged Shez into the war, and that they only reason they're even fighting it is to keep their homes from getting destroyed.

"If we fail, we'll lose everything. Our houses, our families, the places we grew up." - see this is why recruiting them to CF is actually the evil thing to do. Then they gotta deal with that guilt.

Shez, of course, has nothing at stake unlike the Faerghus people

Poor Shez doesn't know what it's like to have a home.

I had Shez deny that it's just money she's in it for. And then calls Faerghus her home. 😭😭😭😭

Sylvain is inventing weapons. We stan a genius.

This support was seriously so sweet. It made my soft spot for both characters even bigger.

DEDUE & CATHERINE C SUPPORT

I have no idea what these two will have to talk about, but I'm still excited to see it. Maybe Dedue will try to recruit her back.

Dedue is suspicious of her because she shows up to a city where only people of Duscur are living. It's sad that he's got to be that way, but I'm excited if this support gives us more Duscur crumbs.

Neither Rhea nor Dimitri let him know what she's doing there lol, she's just helping after a big fire.

Catherine points out that the church is always helping people out, plus they feel a debt to Faerghus for giving them a home after Edelgard did her usual.

Apparently Rhea "jumped" at the chance to help. No one in the church cares that the people of Duscur don't worship the same religion, they just want to help/pay their debt.

SHEZ & INGRID A SUPPORT

I feel like I unlocked a million supports, but I'm not mad about it

Dedue put Shez on ingredient shopping duty.

Ingrid is flustered getting spotted by Shez in the market though. She looks like a deer in the headlights lol.

She's fangirling over the market since it's more lively and prosperous than Galatea.

Shez asks Ingrid to go on a shopping/eating date, but Ingrid feels she shouldn't be meandering markets as a future count.

Ingrid wants to help and protect Dimitri so bad as a knight. She also brings up her farming endings too.

I had Shez offer to help Ingrid out. She even offers to be Ingrid's personal mercenary. It's kinda cute.

Shez got Ingrid to blush a bit too. Happy Ingrid is a good Ingrid (and Shez too)

DIMITRI & INGRID B SUPPORT

It's sad that they only go to B, especially since we know how badly Ingrid want to be his knight (and has a crush on him, but like, girl, I get it, no one is immune to Dimitri)

Dimitri was planning with Duscur forces - how to use their unique fighting styles and avoid in-fighting with regular Faerghus forces

Dimitri asks her about Duscur, but Ingrid's moved on, and understands that it wasn't just Duscur.

She feels ashamed for putting it all on Duscur, and is not afraid to interact with them.

Dimitri of course blames himself for not insisting harder to Ingrid, but they were both dealing with shit. Dimitri's still upset with himself for not having the right priorities.

But like, Dimitri, even Ingrid herself says they weren't allowed to see each other (fuck Rufus).

Ingrid said she wouldn't have even listened to him. But like Dimitri just wanted to blame someone, so did Ingrid. Which, never really thought about how they dealt with it in a similar way before.

Dimitri takes her to a Duscur run Inn so help bridge the gap. She thinks she can do it with Dimitri there to help her out.

The character growth. Man, this is another missing discussion from AM that AG blessed us with. I swear AG doesn't have a single bad or boring or unnecessary or repeat support (no I'm not biased, why did you ask?)

INGRID & FELIX A SUPPORT

Felix is handing out compliments. Sound the alarm.

Aww, Ingrid has a rough battle, and Felix is worried about her.

Ingrid had Glenn's spur with her. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 She says that helped her through the battle 😭😭😭😭.

Felix is obviously confused and worried that Ingrid is relying too much on remembering the dead, but Ingrid argues it can be a strength too. And Felix . . . AGREES.

GUYS 😭😭😭😭 Felix is growing up. 😭😭😭😭 He's understanding that his views aren't the only ways to exist. 😭😭😭😭

He tells her to visit Glenn 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 OMG, guys, he's encouraging her to keep using Glenn's memory as a source of strength and hoping she'll visit his grave and give him flowers.

Guys, he's not only understanding and accepting that people feel differently, he's ENCOURAGING them to continue using that opposite way because it works for them. Guys, he needs a cookie or something.

Ingrid is just that powerful.

Ingrid wants Felix and Dimitri - Rodrigue, Sylvain, and Gustave - and everyone to come visit and just have a festive time near his gravestone. Haha, Felix gives in too.

Shez asks if Dedue really does despite her powers. Dedue doesn't deny that he's concerned about the powers, but it doesn't define Shez.

Haha, Dedue still adds in that if Shez ever did turn on Dimitri, he'd cut her down. Which, yeah, that tracks, which Shez agrees.

DEDUE/INGRID/FELIX PARALOGUE

3 of my favorites in one paralogue about the tragedy of Duscur. Yes please (they're also fully leveled up so I'm not broke!)

Everyone is down in the dumps because they're near where the attack took place. Probably a bit awkward with that trio.

Guys, we're in Duscur, it's exciting.

Aww, Dedue is telling Ingrid she doesn't have to fake being happy while their (because he knows about Glenn).

They're fighting Duscur :( having to put down a rebellion. Not everyone wants peace with Dimitri.

Dimitri keeps coming back in attempt to continue to make peace.

Oh, so the leader of the insurrection lead the group who killed Lambert and Glenn. This is intense.

They aren't allowed to kill him because they need information, but Ingrid wants to kill him, but won't.

Haha, that's why they didn't take Dimitri, well why he didn't go. Dimitri trusted them to handle it.

Felix said king, not boar everyone.

I can't wait to see the end of this paralogue.

Oh, we're rescuing Duscur soldiers? Glad Ingrid is a pegasus knight. She can zip around fast.

We're not killing, just subduing.

Ingrid requested this assignment to help her move on from the past.

Ingrid and Dedue put their faith in Dimitri to figure out the motivation.

Dedue wants to stop by a childhood spot that got trampled and he's wanting to see if it recovered. Ingrid asks to join him and he does. Shez also wants to come. Felix accepts grudgingly lol.

Ingrid has shown such growth in this game. I love it so much.

Dedue invites Ingrid to come back and keep checking on the field. Felix is just hanging back though. Typical Felix.

Felix says he's focusing on his duty to protect the same things Glenn did and Shez can say the lands or . . . well you know who and you KNOW which one I have to pick.

Felix says protecting Dimitri is the same as protecting Faerghus, and makes Shez swear not to tell Dimitri (well the boar but you know). I had Shez tease Felix big time by claiming she was going to run around and telling everyone lamo.

The Dimilix is real in this game.

MAIN MAP

So the Empire's going full scorched earth tactics.

Annnnd of course Dimitri's blaming himself for other's actions. He's getting all worked up too.

Oh, geeze, they killed all the citizens too. Shez says the Empire was always rough, but not this bad.

I still can't get over the fact they wrote themselves into a corner with Edelgard - either team up with TWSITD again or Dimitri and Rhea, so instead they just zapped her lamo.

Oh, that's cool, the map battle zone flipped spaces because the Western Church attacked.

Arval hoping to strike down TWSITD is rich since you know he's (she's, they're?) connected.

Poor Shez is worrying about her power again. I swear she's much better integrated in AG, then SB, and GW it's like why is Shez even there? They have no plotline.

I think my Dimitri is too strong guys. He just. Kills everything.

Myson escaped. Ohhh, now he's confronting Shez. And asking about Avral I'm assuming.

Arval makes a good point, that the power Shez has keeps saving lives. And brings up Dimitri's point that power isn't evil or good, it's how it's used.

Ashen Demon brought back up again. Arval really wants us to kill Byleth, hunh. Except this time I'm determined to recruit Byleth.

I wonder if Arval will eventually turn on us, esp once I don't kill Byleth. Because he really wants us to kill Byleth.

Rodrigue is back! My beloved.

Oh, hi Claude. Not sure where he stands with me right now. I vastly prefer the Claude who has two braincells.

Judith being alive again is good though.

I do like hearing about how Claude and Dimitri are making plans together to trick the Empire.

So our goal is to retake the Monastery. Makes sense.

Post Scriptum comment: I don't even know what this is; rambling, thinking at loud about acespec Eddie Diaz. Yesterday was international asexuality day and I went to sleep thinking Does Eddie know about asexuality? Then, put myself to sleep trying to answer that question. So I guess this is a transcript of my half asleep thoughts.

What if Eddie knows about asexuality. He's a 30 something man living in LA. He has a teenage son. He has queer friends. He knows stuff. He's heard a lot of words, a lot he only vaguely understands, but he's heard, he knows. He knows he's not asexual. He was a teenage dad, he had a wife, they had a lot of sex, and he loved it and wanted it. Yeah. The sex was good, great. Not so much when their mariage was falling apart, but that's to be expected in this situation. When they tried to rebuild a relationship together, sex seemed to be the only thing they were good at. Also he's had girlfriends, multiple, since he's wife died. They had sex, too. It was nice. So, definitely not asexual.

But then he meets someone who's asexual. Maybe a patient. Maybe they're stuck together. No immediate danger, but he needs to keep her calm and monitor her cognitive functions, until his team can get to them. So they talk. He asks if she works? hobbies? partner? How did you two meet? They talk and talk and he thinks they probably could have become friends in other circumstances. Eventually, she mentions being asexual; and he's confused. Earlier she talked about painting and mentioned how her partner likes to distract her; and his confusion probably showed on his face. Later, he'll wonder what really prompt her to explain it to him, if she was indulging him or just glad to share more of her life, maybe both, but he's forever grateful she decided to.

She tells him about thinking something was wrong with her for not wanting sex, about thinking she wasn't normal. She tells him about learning what asexuality is, about finding community, understanding and acceptance. She tells him about the joy of finding a partner that understood her, and a partner that felt like her; about the relief that she could love someone and not love sex. And then she tells him about falling in love with her best friend; or more accurately realizing she had fallen, was fallen, will probably keep falling in love with them forever. How she wanted to be close to them, always closer, wanted in a way she never did. How she eventually thought; if I had to have sex with someone, I wouldn't mind doing it with them. And how that neutral acceptance turned into active desires. She tells him that she's still asexual; some people never ever want sex, some are neutral, some very positive about it, some people's answer changes throughout their life. And he has so many questions, questions he'll never get to ask, maybe for the better given how personal most of them are.

They get interrupted by a sound, a sound he knows means his team is close, right before his radio comes to life. So he focuses on doing his job, on helping his team rescue them, on making sure she gets to contact her partner before she goes to the hospital. But that conversation sticks with him. It sticks with him for days, in a way only really bad calls and really good ones can. So he tries to answer some of his questions himself, for himself. He's heard a lot of words, but it's the first time he feels the urge to put it up to the light and examine it for himself.

He thinks about Shannon. They knew each other but they weren't best friends. When they got together it felt like magic, they fell hard and fast, it was amazing until it wasn't. He was never neutral about sex with her, lots of active desires; nothing about their relationship has ever been neutral. He can't say the same about Ana and Marisol. He just followed their lead. He had months long relationships with two beautiful women and for both, he would have been fine if they didn't include sex. He doesn't know what to think about that; about any of that. Does he really need answers, it's not like it's gonna change anything, anyway. So he stops thinking about it, actively that is, but it's still there, in the back of his mind.

aaaaand that's probably when I started to actually fall asleep because the thoughts gets blurry and incoherent

7x04 - Buddie is all over this episode and not because we finally got Bi!Buck confirmation

Alright, we got some fanfuckingtastic food this episode and while I'm still celebrating over here in the corner for Bi!Buck becoming canon and how important that is not only for bisexual representation in mainstream media but also for his character, I have to talk about Buddie. (I am not diminishing this great moment for Buck, I promise)

Don't get me wrong. I like Tommy and I'm excited to see how this all pans out and to explore this journey with Buck. Not to mention the whole "Maybe you're more of a Team Jacob kind of guy" from Sal to Tommy back in 2x09, I'm glad to see it come full circle like this because they could have chosen someone else for Buck. Plus he and Buck do have chemistry.

But I have to be honest, my personal opinion is that Tommy is another case of this. Here's a whole list of why:

Another Name Ending with "ee" Sound: Edd-ie -> Tomm-y

Army connection: Both were in the army; both are connected to helicopters (and we know how important the helicopter symbolism is for Buddie)

Dressing Alike: Tommy and Eddie are dressing alike (when Eddie picks him up)

Looking alike: In certain lighting (like outside Buck's apartment door), Tommy has a similar look to Eddie

Immediate Side-eye: Buck had a similar reaction to Tommy and Eddie's friendship that he had to Eddie when the latter first joined the 118

Working Out: We even go back to the working out scenario (callback to 2x01) but this time, Eddie isn't working out, he's talking to Tommy on his phone, it's Ravi around this time not Chim, and Buck is once again trying to get Eddie's attention, but this time not competitively; if this were strictly about Buck's attraction to Tommy and trying to get his attention, Buck wouldn't have gone to this trouble; if Buck wanted to get Eddie's attention platonically because of his platonic jealousy, the basketball game was a better route than lifting weights (which is why they have the basketball delivered at the end of that scene)

Tsunami Callback: Tommy helped the 118 with flying the helicopter into a hurricane to land on the capsized cruise ship to rescue Bathena; it's not as overt and may be unintentional on the writers' part (who are we kidding? we KNOW these writers) but it calls back the tsunami arc for me from season 3, with Buck's and Eddie's separate involvement due to Buck's situation, this time they're together but Tommy isn't part of the 118 anymore

The Kitchen: Buck and Tommy in the kitchen - Buck opens a beer but doesn't drink it, Tommy declines one - we know open beer bottles/having a beer is also an important symbol for Buddie - this felt very much like a callback to 3x09 where Buck was getting that close to Eddie, this time Tommy was the one to get closer to Buck - and it also brings to mind 4x12 where Taylor was talking to Buck and Eddie about the treasure hunt, where Taylor told Buck she loved him in season 5 - the kitchen is not only important for Buddie but also for Buck's most important relationships (Eddie, Christopher (from the season 6 dinner), Maddie, Albert, Chim, etc)

Asking Parallel: Buck reveals Eddie has been asking him to play basketball but he always turns him down, now he asked Tommy & Tommy is going; Buck "asks out" Tommy and offers to buy him a beer, not once but twice Tommy turns him down until the kiss happens; Buck asks Eddie back in 7x01 to go go-karting & Eddie turns him down, saying he has a date as does Christopher

More of the Taylor/Eddie parallel: Ashley C, a dental hygienist, (think "always smiling"/teeth, Taylor on camera) tells Buddie "I love dalmatians" (something we know Taylor referred to Buck as) and Ashley A (a flight attendant btw, a subtle reference to the helicopter thing) says "I feel so lightheaded, I'm having palpitations". Two different Ashleys but it's no coincidence that Ashley "A" is the one to give the Eddie reference (we all know he had that situation going on back in season 5)

Buck keeps mentioning the Tommy/Eddie connection: "You and Tommy have a lot of things in common" - he mentions it twice, once to Eddie and then once to Tommy later in the kitchen

Eddie asking Buck to watch Christopher: While Eddie hasn't asked Tommy to watch Christopher because he usually is out with him, it's mentioned that Christopher has met Tommy and approves; Eddie then asks Buck to watch Christopher after mentioning he's already asked Marisol twice to watch him twice that week - not only does this dialogue put Marisol and Buck on the same level for Eddie in who he trusts but also, in an episode where tons of paralleling is going on, relationship wise in the dialogue (they could have not had Eddie mention that when asking Buck or just say Marisol was busy or something else)

The Chim Factor: once again, Chim is being involved (as is Madd-ie who has also been a parallel for Eddie before) - from 2x01 to now, he's always had a front seat to the Buddie show, no coincidence that he was brought to the basketball game by Buck or that he ends up being there to look over Eddie once he's hurt

The Bachelor Nod: the Bachelor named Joey and the male host that both Maddie and Josh are falling all over themselves to talk to is Jesse (ties into the two Ashleys, the two Sarahs) - I've never watched The Bachelor so I have no idea if Jesse and Joey are actually real (I'm assuming maybe due to the credits) but interesting that out of all the guys they could have chosen be a guest to do this spot, they have another J name, again in an episode where we're getting a name two different ways not once but twice and again, the parallels

Season 5 ATC callback: I also find it interesting that Joey approaches Chim and has his hand on Chim's shoulder the same way we saw Eddie do with Buck back in season 5 when they were treating someone on the ground, at the Air traffic tower, after Ashley A pinned her wings onto Joey

Conchata connection: This character feels like a connection to Eddie not just due to the mention of Mexico but also that "Conchata" comes crashing into the scene; feels/appears like one thing at first but then we find out differently and the real Conchata has been there all along, just waiting to be found - could this be foreshadowing? or a callback to how Eddie first came into the 118 and it looked like there was going to be a rivalry but it turned into something else?

"Seriously cool": Not only is Christopher impressed with Tommy, but Buck obviously is, too. We all remember only too well who else Buck found to be this level of cool and going on and on to Maddie about (hello 2x01 my old friend)

Getting attention: Buck admits he was trying to get Eddie's attention (but not to Eddie); Buck admits to Tommy that he was working hard to get his attention

The Ashleys: Ashley A is from Corona, CA (both Buck and Eddie now live in CA as does Taylor) while Ashley C is from Florida (Buck is from PA I think and Taylor I forget where but Midwest I think? I can't remember for her, please feel free to correct me in the comments, Eddie is from Texas)

"It's only been two weeks": Buck mentions this more than once, that Tommy and Eddie are best buddies after only two weeks - subtle inference back to season 2 where Buck met Eddie and within an episode they had become best buddies and again, the weights scene

Buck's Reaction Compared to Maddie's: while Maddie tells Buck to stop acting like the 14 year old girl she was, her reaction was different though the motivating factor was similar - both Sarah B & Sarah S were blonde, Maddie dyed her hair & wanted to change her name to fit in with them because she was jealous and missed her best friend - Buck (yes, I know he's an adult but he did admit he was acting similarly to Maddie), the only way he tries to fit in is with basketball, before that, it's all about getting the attention of both Eddie and Tommy (and by them showing us the Eddie phone and weights scene plus the basketball package (after he's turned Eddie down so many times) they're subtly letting us know that this isn't just about Tommy)

"Evan": the only other two men (from the 118) to call Buck Evan are Chim and Eddie (I don't think Bobby has before, but I could be wrong) = not a coincidence that now Tommy is (and frequently) and again, also no coincidence that Chim has a front seat to this (when Chim has also been paralleled with Buck like last season & Maddie has been paralleled with Eddie before)

Basketball Game Apparel: Chim is wearing his LAFD hoodie while Tommy is wearing a grey hoodie tank; Buck and Eddie are wearing tank tops (different cuts but both dark colors); as we all already know, TV and this show will use costuming to show when two people are on the same page, doing the same thing, or there's something going on for those two characters that is trying to be conveyed to the audience without being overt. I mean, hello:

(regardless of how these relationships turned out in these series, you get my point)

Considering Eddie and Buck aren't on the same page right now (Eddie has no idea about Buck's jealousy until Buck does what he does at the game), and while they might be playing the same game, it's against each other, so that only leaves one thing:

So there is a lot of connection between Tommy and Eddie:

(and some serious callbacks to Taylor - I mean, look at that above, TV at the end of the unit #)

We even see Tommy and Eddie keeping an even pace as they're walking away from Buck.

Plus, we also got more callbacks to season 3, for Eddie (which connects back to that 3x09 kitchen scene again because of the context of that conversation between Buck and Eddie): "Tommy's friends with the promoter so we got ringside seats. I felt like I was the one throwing the punches."

But here is where it gets even more interesting:

Tommy is also paralleling Buck.

Tommy mentions being jealous of the 118 and seeing how much of a tight-knit unit they are, after he's been out of there for a while -> Buck was initially jealous of Eddie back in 2x01 because he thought he was being replaced in his 118 family (and appeared to feel the same way about Ravi until we found out differently)

Tommy appears to know exactly what Buck is talking about with dating someone he's rescued by saying "They're always so grateful"

Tommy is part of the pre-original 118 lineup (who knew Chim and Hen); Buck is part of the original 118 who obviously knows Chim and Hen

Christopher cannot stop talking about Tommy to Buck and Buck to Tommy

Eddie asks Tommy to go to basketball after Buck has turned him down several times

Tommy has become Bestie!Buck 2.0 for Eddie in Buck's absence (in Buck's eyes) though there's no reasoning for this absence outside of Eddie's new relationship & Buck's turning Eddie down for an activity (this absence is alluded to when Eddie finds out for the first time that Buck is no longer with Natalia)...well, really 3.0 because, you know...Lena (who also brought Eddie to a fight btw with "ringside" seats, who knew the organizer)

I guarantee we'll get more connections to both as this develops, but I don't think Buddie is out for the count. Especially after seeing the promo for next week's episode. Not so much because of Eddie and Marisol seeing Buck and Tommy together, but Buck's obvious tension that Tommy reacts to before Eddie even shows up, and then Buck's reaction to Eddie showing up.

To be fair, this is all new to him as he states so it makes sense that he's still figuring things out for his own journey. But, at the same time, there did not need to be this many connections that the writers purposely made to either Buck or Eddie for Tommy. That's why, as excited as I am to see how Buck/Tommy plays out, I also think it's like what Ana Flores was for Eddie (though obviously very different relationship dynamics and characters), to get Buck to open up and have this realization about himself, to explore it, and end up wherever he does. So all in all, this should be interesting, for Buck's character alone as much as for Buddie.

I'm Not A Hero

Summary: A mistake on a mission makes you question whether you're a hero and Bruce helps you.

(The reader is gender neutral and uses they/them pronouns. The ethnicity/race is preferably a person of color.)

The sounds of bombs going off and multiple people screaming out was hard to get out of my head, but I tried my hardest to do so. People yelling, crying, and praying in multiple languages was too much for my ears to take. People scattered across everywhere, some on the ground, some in dirt, some in crumbling buildings, bleeding from injuries too severe to heal from was too much for my eyes. I kept seeing them over and over. Even though it had been weeks, almost a month, I couldn't get it out of my head.

"Kid, it's okay. Don't listen to them." Tony patted me on the shoulder and told me this the day after, when it was all over the news.

Every news channel had the same headline: Avengers saves the day, but causes more lives lost. And every one of them had a video of me, the camera zooming in on my figure. They would all pause right at the time my powers went loose and the headlines would change to "Did the Avengers recruit a villain?"

"(Y/N), don't think about it. The news is making it worse than it really is." Natasha told me this when she visited my room the next day, finding me wrapped up in my blanket and watching the news play the video over and over, staring at the image of me on the screen causing so much damage.

"The death toll is in the hundreds now, while the number of injured has reached the thousands," the news caster said.

"Most of those people were already injured or dying before we even got there, (Y/N)," Clint told me, after Natasha left, disappointed that her consoling me didn't help. "You saved a lot of lives. So many people are walking around, breathing, and living because of you."

It didn't matter if that was true or not, it didn't matter that there were people who weren't injured, people who survived and could get back to their regular lives. To me, none of it mattered if the cost of this victory was hundreds, thousands, or even millions of people dying or getting hurt.

I thought I had myself under control. I thought I could handle it. This mission wasn't my first, but it was the first that so many people had died because of me being reckless and overconfident, forgetting the strength of my powers.

"Come to the party, (Y/N)," Steve urged me, with Natasha and Clint beside him. "It'll be fun and we'll see people who are honored and glad that you rescued them."

The party they're referring to is some party/award ceremony being thrown by half the government and half Tony Stark for rescuing so many people. We'll receive awards, and be honored as absolute heroes of the country. I had informed them a few days before that I didn't want to go and instead I would rather stay in my room binge-watch TV, but they insisted, to the point that Nat threatened to kidnap me from my room and force me to attend.

"(Y/N)!"

Flashes of cameras and reporters calling my name was quite an overwhelming thing that I haven't gotten used to since being on the team. The others told me that it takes time, but if it ever gets too much, it's alright to duck out when I get a chance, and right now, that's exactly how I was feeling.

So many people yelling my name asking what designer I was wearing, what diet I was on, how often did I train, and other questions were still strange to me.

"(Y/N), can you show us some of your powers?"

The question caught me off guard, but I tried to not let it show and responded with a polite smile and said, "Um, maybe some other time. I will give you a great show then." I was fine until I heard the next question.

"Is it because of your last mission?"

The question made me freeze, and I looked around to find if any of the others were around to help me, but suddenly I couldn't find any of them near me. It was like they had suddenly disappeared.

"What do you have to say about the death toll now reaching 1,000?"

"What?" I asked, feeling my heart beat speed up. I hadn't heard about the deaths getting that high.

"Sources say that you have no control over your powers. Is that true?"

"I-I,...um," I didn't know what to say, my tongue suddenly felt numb and I could feel all the hair on my body stand up.

"Why did the Avengers recruit you if you don't have control over yourself?"

"How can the public trust you?"

I wanted to tell them that it was an accident, that it was one slip-up that will never happen again, but I couldn't make myself do it.

"(Y/N)!"

I recognized the voice but I didn't bother looking to see where and who it came from. Before I could hear another question, I quickly walked away from the reporters and left the room. I didn't know where I was going, only that I needed to get as far away from the party as possible.

Before I knew it, I was opening the door of a nearby hallway closet and ran inside, slamming it shut behind me. Not hearing any footsteps behind me, I took a deep breath and stood against the wall, trying to calm my mind and forget the questions, but it was too hard. How did I not know the death toll rose that high? How could I lose control like that? Why did I lose control? Will it happen again?

I could feel my heart beating hard inside me, like it wanted to escape my body, and I could hear it loud in my ears like drums. Why did I come here? I shouldn't have come here! I don't need to be here! I'm not a hero!

I can't breathe! I tried to catch my breath, tried to breathe deeply again, but for some reason I couldn't. The questions from before were now screaming in my head and the images of my blurry figure on the news kept flashing through my mind. I shouldn't be here! I'm not a hero!

"(Y/N)," I heard a voice suddenly say my name through all the noise. I hadn't even realized that I had closed my eyes and I opened them to see Bruce standing before me, closing the closet door, and looking at me with a look of concern on his face.

"Bruce," I asked, trying to breathe, but still failing. "What're you doing here?"

"I saw you rush out and followed you. Are you okay?" He stepped toward me and grabbed me by my shoulders, squeezing them comfortingly.

"I can't breathe," I told him, feeling tears that I had been holding in for the longest begin to run down my face. "I can't be here."

"Hey everything's okay," he tried to tell me.

"I can't go out there! I can't answer any questions! I shouldn't be here after what I did!"

"(Y/N)," his voice was more stern and when I looked into his eyes, I saw nothing but kindness. "Do what I say. Okay?"

I quickly nodded my head.

"Count with me. 1...2...3... Inhale...4...5...6 exhale."

I nodded my head again and looked at him while doing it. "1...2...3," I looked at him before inhaling, seeing him nod, then continued, "4...5...6," then I exhaled slowly.

"Good. Do it again."

We continued to do this for a couple more minutes. He was patient and counted along with me, then inhaled and exhaled with me too. Each time we did it, I began to breathe easier, and my heart beat began to slow down, but the questions and memories of the mission and the video on the news kept running through my mind over and over again. When he finally saw my breathing become normal, that's when he chose to ask the question that I was dreading to hear him ask.

"Why are you in here?"

"I couldn't take being out there anymore. I had to get away."

"Why? What did they ask you?"

Another question I was dreading to hear, but I tried to suck up as much courage and answer him honestly. "They asked about my powers, and what happened on the mission, and," I could hear my voice begin to tremble, but I ignored it and continued speaking, "They told me about the deaths...that it's in the thousands now."

A look of recognition came over his face and he wrapped an arm around me and pulled me into a hug that I was not expecting, but greatfully accepted. Bruce was more shy than everyone else and kept his distance from the others, so this absolutely surprised me.

"I know how you feel, (Y/N)."

"You do?"

"Yeah," he replied with a little laugh. "The hulk had done some damage in the past. For good and bad."

Oh yeah. I had forgotten about the things the hulk has done. So many people are fans of the Avengers now, including Bruce, that I briefly forgot about the damage to New York.

"What do you mean 'you shouldn't be here', (Y/N)?"

Pulling away, I sniffed, and quickly wiped away the tears from my face before answering him, "The others wanted me to come, but I don't think I should be here. I don't feel like a hero. I feel like a-"

"Monster," he finished for me, making me smile a little. "The others don't have powers like ours. We make a small mistake, it can have big consequences."

"How do you deal with it? The death. Destruction. I don't feel like a hero anymore. I feel like a fraud."

"No matter how much that voice in your head tells you differently, you're a hero. You can't save everyone, all the time. There's gonna be lots of victories, but some sadness as well. Try to find ways to distract yourself. "

"How?"

He sighed loudly before replying, "Meditation, yoga, reading, maybe sports. Try to find a hobby that you know will quickly distract you and make you not think for a while."

As Bruce spoke, I couldn't help but be really moved and quite sad. I've never really interacted with him outside of the usual mission, and sometimes forgot he was there. This whole time I never thought about how he has gone through the same thing as I have and more. Realizing this also made me feel a little sympathy as well as I realize that not only has he gone through this before, but he's also had to cope with everything I'm feeling before, only he had to cope by himself.

"So do you wanna try going back out there or stay here a little longer?"

Just the thought of going back out there and knowing that there's a possibility that I'll have to answer anymore questions made me feel sick, so I quickly shook my head.

"I wanna stay here." He nodded his head in understanding and before he could turn, I asked, "Could you stay and keep me company? You don't have to if you don't wanna."

"Sure," he said, then took out his phone and moved to sit on the floor. He looked up at me and patted the spot next to him. "You wanna watch some Netflix till the party's over?"

I smiled and happily sat down next to him, ready to watch whatever just as long as I didn't go back out there.

"What do you think of 'The Witcher'?"

"My favorite," I told him, scooting closer to look down at the phone.

Who knew that me and Dr. Banner had so much in common with each other?!

Transformers Prime: Toonsanity

Yes, I'm going back to the Weretoons with Transformers idea well specifically the Prime version. Rescue Bots will have it's respective post so don't you worry! Let's get started. (Incomplete as Tumblr posted early)

Miko lives in Jasper with her Weretoon foster father instead of canon's host family. She is already Jack and Raf's friend but they don't know about her Weretoon nature. A common rule that's not just for the safety of other Weres but people close to them. Every werecreature has a respective hunter and those for Weretoons are extremely dangerous to put it simply.

The two boys would've been left unaware if wasn't for the fateful encounter with the Autobots. (Miko is still a chaos agent and being a Weretoon just amps it up.) It doesn't really take long for everyone to find out either.

Weretoons tend to carry a small bottle of ink on them as it triggers the Toon transformation instantly. An emergency tool to be precise. What better time to use it than on a hostile alien spaceship full of trigger happy robots?

Like any other Toon, Miko has a hammer space with her preferred cartoony weapon being a giant mallet. Jack pretty much felt like he was going insane at this upon seeing his friend flatten a Vehicon into a metal pancake. Raf is taking it a bit better than him. The bots however...

Ratchet: What in the pits is this?!!! *Points at Toon!Miko*

Miko: *eating a carrot she pulled from her hammerspace* What's up, Doc? Never met a Weretoon before? Congrats on being not only the first non-Weretoon aligned doctor but the first 'normal' doctor I done this joke with!

Jack: *notices everyone staring at him* Hey, don't look at me! I didn't know about this until now!

Ratchet obviously grilled Miko for answers as he barely knows how to treat humans! Now he has to worry about an unknown subspecies getting injured or ill. Miko explaining the whole 'Weretoons' thing so nonchalantly didn't help either. (Optimus wrote everything in stride as the unknown reawakens the archivist within.)

Ratchet shuddered knowing others can be infected and rather not find out if Cybertronians are susceptible. (They are Ratty. It's another reason why Miko wears a mouth guard. A simple bite with their actual teeth is all a Weretoon needs to turn someone even if they don't penetrate skin or metal.)

No one purposely tries to test Miko's squash and stretch capabilities whenever she's in toon form. Doesn't stop a cartoony shenanigan from occuring. Or the fact every single bot on the team has fallen for the inherent gag trying to get Miko outta harm's way like in every other cartoon.

Examples:

Bulkhead got whacked in the face by his own lob ball as it preceded to roll off the shelf after Miko.

Optimus somehow slipped on a banana peel and accidentally falls on Bumblebee from trying not to squish the Weretoon.

Ratchet crashes into the ceiling when Jack's knife set is hurtled at Miko with the medic taking said blades to the aft. (Toon law: Anyone struck by a pointy object always launches upwards.)

Miko reveals her beast form during the Scrapheap episode. She gotten pissed when some Scraplets had munch on a metal custom road plate her dad made for her room. Never anger a toon who can turn into a serpentine dragon like mole cause Miko chased the little pests everywhere with a vengeance.

Jack already resigned to the insanity after this little reveal. He's just glad they got a heavy hitter that the Scraplets couldn't munch on. Optimus and Arcee were really confused about this new development but let Miko help warm them up. (She runs hot as a mole dragon plus long enough to coil around someone OP's size.)

Hostage situations with Miko will always go wrong for the kidnapper. She either slips out their grasp like a snake or go beast mode on their ass. Makeshift learns that moles bite especially if they're half dragon.

Knockout and Starscream doesn't have fun with Miko during their respective encounter either(TMI/Rock Bottom.) Her claws can do more than just dig through dirt as she left behind pretty larges gashes on their frames. Starscream and Knockout constantly about still finding sand in their frame.

The ugliest confrontation between Miko with a Decepticon is Predaking. Dragons aren't exactly friendly towards each other as they are territorial as fuck. (Moles are even moreso.) Especially if it involves a claim. Her friends and the Autobots' can be considered Miko's plus considering Predaking is more dragonlike...

She fucking mauls the Predacon with their respective breath attacks leaving freshly made glass everywhere. Ultra Magnus had to hold Miko like an angry extra long ferret so she didn't fly after the retreating Decepticons. Our girl may be strong but not invincible.

Toons can have their own rules turned against them plus Miko can't sustain her toon form for long. She's got an hour to an 1 hr 30 minutes before reverting back. Then there's the threat born from the film 'Who Framed Rodger Rabbit': The Dip.

It can burn a Weretoon in their human form but becomes truly lethal if they are a toon. Dip is their wolfsbane and is the main tool in a Cartoon Hunter's arsenal. Two things Miko wasn't happy to explain to the bots when movie night came around.(Bumblebee apologized btw.)

It's gonna take awhile for the Decepticons to find out. Sadly a certain mechanical based organization knows about Weretoons...and most are hunters. Or that one particular spider bot might add Miko to her list of targets too.

For Miko's father, he'll remain mostly anonymous. This is because I want to keep the main ides separate from any extra doses of insanity should it peak my interest. Like making her foster father Dynamite Anton from Antonball/Antonblast.

What better way to do the 'Meet the Father' bit than this fucker throwing hands with a bunch of moles, called BALLBUSTERS, because their boss Satan stole his booze. (The literal plot for Antonblast.) It would obviously have the fandom wide headcanon of Anton being a demon and his demon form being usually portrayed like this. (Can't resist the sheer irony when you consider the fact Optimus is basically robot jesus in most iterations of the series.)

Things are gonna be chaotic with Ratchet wanting a drink either way it goes.

A question for Woo. Would you enjoy an explorers DX getting revealed on the upcoming Pokemon Day?

before you bring out the pitchforks, let me explain myself. anyone who attends my streams or catches me in the wild in discord servers knows that I don't really like how the 3d games look. it's not as much a debate on "does pixel art or 3d models look better", but more "which style does chunsoft handle better", which I can sum up how I feel about in one screenshot

which is to say, my main problem with the 3D games is that the charm kinda got sucked straight out of them. it's true that pixel sprites have limitations- it's why we have portraits to more easily convey how characters are feeling, and your brain can fill in any missing details. but with 3D games, every aspect is able to be rendered out, and if you aren't going 100% all in, it's a lot more easy for the intended emotions to fall through. we have the ability to have pokemon emote like this now,

so why on earth is this the range that we're stuck with for PMD?

the simplest answer I can think of is that chunsoft is trying to apply the same strategy they used with sprites onto 3D models... which I think could work in theory, but not in the way they're applying it. as is, they don't have the models emote much and rely on portraits to carry the intended emotion through. the models also have some of the most stiff rigging I've seen in any game to date. I'm sure it has something to do with hardware limitations, but if that's the case I don't see why they couldn't create something that would fit their needs better like pokemon rumble's low poly models. well I know the answer is that they don't wanna actually render new 3D models for a PMD game and just use the library of models they got from gamefreak, but I like to think something like XY or ORAS's overworld models would make for a nicer looking game.

one pet peeve of mine is seeing folks praise DX for its unique look, which I think is true for the backgrounds!... but not really the models. I don't think putting an outline and paper texture overlay on the models is particularly revolutionary. it's a good direction to start, but far from peak aesthetic.

other problems I have with DX are how the main hub areas look (the grass for pokemon square is so blown out I have to play the game with lowered saturation and a darkened screen), and how the general UI looks in the dungeons. idk if it's because I'm neurodivergent or if it's just a "me" thing, but there's so much useless information being thrown at me at all times in a dungeon that it makes it really hard to focus on what's happening

I imagine this is mostly a side effect of losing the dual screen ability on the switch and I don't really have a proposed solution, but at least removing the text bubbles that come up every single time you get attacked or use a move would be a good start. maybe just save those for critical hits or smth idk, I don't really need to hear every single thought that comes out of my team.

I also think accessibility features like the auto-dungeon crawl feature are nice for those who want it, but it does feel a little overpowered by (seemingly) knowing exactly where the stairs are in a dungeon, which can take the exploration aspect out of playing the game. I'd also like the ability to disable that feature in a menu since I tend to misclick sometimes and accidentally activate things lmao

I just kinda tore into DX, but there are a few things I do like about it. the gummi system is vastly improved first of all (thank god I can stop grinding for one million gummis), and I think the dungeon environments are some of the best to come out of the series. I also think the models wearing scarves is super cute, I loved it in Super and am glad it made a return here. I'm sure there are other QOL features I'd like in theory but I kinda... didn't get very far in the game due to the aforementioned graphical and UI issues that felt like actual sandpaper to my brain.

if there was an explorers DX, I actually think one fun direction the series could take is something like pokemon cafe remix or paper mario, which is still the energy of a 2D game just using nice looking art assets instead of sprites. I just think a PMD game that looks like this could be really cute and charming...

and it'd probably be closer to chunsoft's wheelhouse since it'd take notes from how they put the sprite games together! just wishful thinking though. my current crack theory is that rescue DX was just to test the waters for how popular PMD still is and maybe to test out the engine on switch before releasing an original game, a la let's go pikachu/eevee to sword/shield. I doubt they'll make an explorers remake.

I have the day off today so I'll probably have time for a couple more episodes than I usually watch. While it's tempting to cram in all 6 and finish it I probably won't do that but we'll see how it goes.

I am having a lot of feelings about these literal children having to raise themselves. I know shit like this happens a lot in the sports and idol industries and it makes me so sad. I know Ye Xiu got kicked out but where are Mucheng and Muqiu's family?

Also, yesterday @hphaeton pointed out that the voice actor dubbing Ye Xiu is the same person who dubbed Cheng Yi in Love and Redemption. It's so obvious now I know. I can't believe I didn't spot it before. He has a very nice voice.

Oh no he's crying again

Poor Mucheng this must be so hard for her too. It's like losing her brother all over again.

Oh no they're all blaming each other for the loss and it's making Ye Xiu Even Sadder. But, look, isn't this the first time they've actually lost a pro game? No team can win all the time this is something they're going to need to get used to. I'm sure Ye Xiu will teach them that.

Look, obviously I love them all. But if you're going to suggest disbanding every time you lose a game then maybe you aren't suited to being a team. Take the loss, reflect, bounce back. That's what sport is. To make it All About Me when I first got into hockey my team of choice had one of the worst seasons ever seen. 5 years later they won the championship.

Exit Strategy, Chapter 5

(Curious what I'm doing here? Read this post! For the link index and a primer on The Murderbot Diaries, read this one!)

In which the long-awaited friend returns to us.

When the transit pipe with GrayCrisSec and Dr. Mensah arrived, I was in a pod, paused and ready.

Murderbot finds the team, and they have their own SecUnit, with armour. Still, this is probably do-able. Looking at the hotel's transit station, with its holographic displays, MB gets an idea and files it for later.(1) It follows the group on cameras, six plus the SecUnit and Mensah. Two peel off to take other positions, leaving the main target (SecUnit) and four secondaries.

SecUnits with intact governor modules can't hack like MB can without getting punished. This one has a Palisade logo on the proprietary-brand armour, but no drones. It doesn't try to hack it, like it did the ComfortUnit with Art's help, just in case it fails, and the unit reports it.

MB taps Mensah's implant, and says it's here. Mensah asks for its name as proof. It knows the conversation footage was deleted, so it gives her the real one: Murderbot. She asks what it's doing here, believing it had been captured. MB says it came to help, and tells her the three others are waiting with a company shuttle. It asks if Mensah will give it permission to proceed with extraction.

She doesn't hesitate to say yes.

MB puts her feed on the back burner after acknowledging, and then double checks the schematics and the camera feeds. It's not sure it could have done this before Milu stretched its limits. Still, it can't screw this up.(2)

Redirecting its own pod to a specific junction, MB calls the pod with Mensah in it to the same location, and tells her to drop as it takes out the goons and takes on the other SecUnit, the Primary Target. After a fight sequence, it incapacitates them all, and leaves with Mensah in the pod, going back to the hotel's station. It takes that idea from earlier, instructing Mensah how to stay out of its way, and enacts another action sequence. They move on to the next obstacle.(3)

Mensah asks if the company is helping. MB says no, and explains the payoff to keep them from docking, and how the Preservation team came anyway.

From the security camera systems, MB realizes that GrayCris know where they are and what they're doing. MB initiates an emergency disembark of the capsule, making sure Mensah lands safely by wrapping itself around her. It consults the maps and finds another way out. They get in another pod, going down to the maintenance section, and an access backbone to the whole station. There, they take a cargo carrier out.

On the way, MB asks if Mensah is alright. She says she is, and very glad to see it. MB, however, can confirm there are more creases at her eyes since they last met. It's not sure how to go about comforting people, but it tells Mensah that she can hug it, if she needs to. She laughs, and her face does "something complicated", and she does so. MB raises its temperature output, and tries to think of it as first aid.

Except it wasn’t entirely awful. It was like when Tapan had slept next to me in the room at the hostel, or when Abene had leaned on me after I saved her; strange, but not as horrific as I would have thought.

Mensah says it was MB at Milu, and MB confirms, though it was an accident. Which part, asks Mensah. MB says, most of it. She asks if it said she sent it, and it says no, it impersonated a fake client. She asks why it went to Milu, and it says, because it wanted to help her by getting evidence of the illegal activity. That's not its whole reason, but it doesn't reveal its conflicted feelings. Mensah, for her part, says she'll try to remember that next time she gives an interview off the cuff. She asks whether it got the data, and it confirms it did, but it mailed it to her family on Preservation before it came to rescue her.

Murderbot awkwardly admits that it left. Mensah says she handled it badly. MB says Pin-Lee told it Mensah was worried. She admits she was, she was afraid MB would be caught, but she should have had more confidence in it. MB isn't sure it would go that far, but before it can have too many emotions, its map monitor alerts that they're nearing the port.

(1) That's one way to tell us This Is Foreshadowing. (2) I want to get into the semantics of what is being said literally (if I fail, Mensah dies, so failure is not allowed) compared to the alternate meaning of the phrase (it is impossible to fail this). I point this out, because this being a story, we know that the latter is also true, since it would mean Murderbot died and this would be the end of the book, and the series. It's a fun play on words. (3) I debated cutting all the travel down to "they move from one obstacle to the next" and just elaborating on their conversations between action sequences, but I couldn't find the right spot to do it and leave the vibes intact.

A/N: I got a comment on Ao3 on my last fic (I post all my fics on there! My account is AsexualSandbox) And they wanted a fic where Hunter admits he likes Willow! I thought it was really cute so I threw this together! Hope yall like it

Hunter and Luz sat on her new bed in the Owl House. The human had set up a sleepover for all her friends, she knew they all needed a peaceful day after well, everything. Hunter was the first to arrive seeing he still has the mentality of a soldier, always arriving at least an hour early. So the duo decided to chill out until the others arrived.

"Soooooo~" The human said, pulling Hunter gaze away from his scroll. "What?" He muttered. "What do you think of the others? We haven't had much time to just...talk ya know? I wanna know what you think of our friends!" She smiled wide waiting for Hunter to answer. He sighs and sits up. "Well it's not a suprise to say they're all great." Luz gasps excitedly "Awwww Hunter!" "Oh shut it human you already knew that!" She giggled "I know I know I'm messing with you! Please continue" Hunter cleared his throat and continued. "Well at first Amity was uh...hard to be around. I knew she was still skeptical of me. Luckily Willow convinced her to give me a chance." His face flushed slightly at the mention of Willow, Luz quietly took note. "Ah after that it was a lot easier. I mean, I admired her strength after our first battle. And to see her stand up to her mother the way she did? How could I not admire her bravery as well?" Luz nodded happily "I know she's the coolest isn't she~?" Her face heated up and Hunter groaned "I get it she's your girlfriend let me finish. Her and I finally started to get along when I approached her about abomination magic. She was eager to show me all she knew and I was excited to learn. We have sparring matched every once in a while."

Luz chuckled "I'm glad you and her are finally getting along. I was worried at first. I thought she'd always hate you." "She hated me!?" "Anywaaaay! Next! How about Gus?" Hunter pouted but continued anyway. He looks down and fiddles with his gloved hands. "Gus is sweet. When I met him I thought he was just some weak little kid but he quickly proved me wrong. He could fly on his staff like other people could but he found a way that worked for him. When he found me at Hexside he gave me his lunch and kept me hidden even though he didn't know I had left the Emperors Coven yet. And when the scouts captured me he was quick to rescue me, even when I started panicking he took the time to show me a way to calm down. I've never experienced kindness like that before. He's like...a brother to me now. We like to study magic and human stuff together. He shows me all the cool new illusions he learns and he does his best to teach me." He finally looks over to Luz who had the brightest smile and tears in her eyes. "Ugh what?" She sniffles "That was the sweetest thing I've ever heard Hunterrrr!!!" She pulls him into a tight hug and he grunts "Augh! Luz!!" He gently pushes at her and she quickly pulls away "Sorry sorry!! Lost my cool there! Okay last one! What about Willow~" She coos

Hunter's face turns a bright red and he averts his gaze again. "W-Willow is...wow. she's incredible. She's strong and smart! She never backs down, she stands up for people! When I first met her she let me join her Flyer Derby team. When I met the team she put together I was about to walk away. I thought it was a joke! I mean, they all seemed so, ugh how do I put this without being mean? I don't know I just didn't see the potential. But she did. And despite me being an absolute jerk she dragged me back and proved me wrong. She even let me stay. And wooow seeing her in action!" His smile grew and so did Luz's smirk. "She's incredibly strong. One of the strongest witches I've ever seen! She's elegant, she plans 10 steps ahead, she always knows what to do. Even when I had turned them in and they escaped. She was ready to take on Darius, an incredibly powerful Coven head! After I let them go, after I betrayed them, she was still okay with talking to me. Not often, we chatted on Penstagram a bit but, I'm not really good at typing" He chuckled awkwardly. "At Hexside she was one of the first to stand up for me. She fought along side me. After I helped Gus she pulled me into a hug, I've never experienced that before." His blush deepened "She saved me after that too. I was falling and she dove to me, picked me up like I weighed nothing haha. She's so wonderful." He sighs happily, lost in thought.

He eventually snaps back into reality and peers back over to Luz. Her smile is wicked, her hands pressed together in thought. "W-What...? Why are you looking at me like that?" Luz snickers. "You like her, don't you?" Hunter's whole face turns a bright red "Wh....WHAT!? NO I-I MEAN, YES BUT UM-" He stammers over his words, hands covering his face. Luz chuckles "Ooooh you so dooo!! Awwww my little Hunter has a cruuuush!" Luz claps excitedly and he flops over "Luuuuz shut uuup!! I do not!" "Yes you do yes you doooo! Admit it!" He shakes his head "NO!" Luz sighs and pokes his side repeatedly "You like her you like huh?" She pauses, pulling her hand away. She hears a muffled squeak from the witch, followed by soft giggles. It takes her a moment, peering at her finger than back to the spot she was poking, but she eventually puts two and two together. A mischievous smirk spreads across her face.

"Admit it Hunter. You like her don't you?" She coos and adds a poke to his ribs. He jumps and shakes his head frantically. "I know you do! And I know this is the only way to make you admit it! An interrogation!" At that she lunges, hands scribbling all over his exposed side. Hunter squeals, legs softly kicking underneath him. Soft giggles escape his lips as he buries his face further into his arms "Luuhuhuhuz! Luz noohohoho this is cheating! Eeheheheheeee!" Luz just giggles along. "How come I never knew you were ticklish? Well doesn't matter! You're gonna talk! I saw that loon in your eyes~ I know what you were thinking!" She moves her hands down to his tummy and his giggling grows more frantic "Ahahahahaaa L-Luz waahahahahit nooohoho!! Ahhaha not theeehehhere!! I-I'll never taahahahalk!" He reaches down and gently pulls at her wrists, exposing his bright pink face and happy smile. Luz can't help but awe at him. "Well if I can't tickle here thaaaan how aboooooout...here?" She grabs his ankles and holds them in a head lock, hands hovering over his socked feet. "N-No! Luhuhuz please please!! Th-That's a baahahad spot!" He squirms around trying to free his trapped legs but it's useless. Her grip is strong, but her will to make him talk was stronger. "Last chance~" Her hands grew closer. He squeezed his eyes shut and shook his head. Luz just huffed out a laugh. "Your funeral" her hands finally made contact and the poor kid exploded with laughter. "AAHAHAHAHAAAA N-NO NO NOAHHAHAHAA LUUUHUHUHUZ PLEEEHEHEHEASE!!" He squirmed frantically around, desperately trying to pull his feet from her evil fingers. She continued her assault. "You know how to make this stop~!" He slammed his fists down in defeat "OKAY OKAAHAHAHAY YOU WIIIIHIHIHIN!! I LIKE HEEEHEHEHER I LIKE WILLOW! SHEHEHEHE'S SO COOHOHOHOL AND PR-PREEHEHEHETTY *snort* AAHAHAHAHHA I-I FEEHEHEHEL SO LIGHT AROUND H-HEHEHEHER AAHAHAHHAAA!! I LIKE WILLOW PARK!!"

Luz immediately let's him go and he curls up into a ball. "That wahahahas mean Luuhuhuhuz..." he giggled. Luz however was beaming "Awwww Hunter!! That's so cuuuute!!!" She pulls him up into a big hug, he keeps his face covered and mumbles curses her way. Suddenly there's a soft knock at the door. The duo gasps and Luz releases her hostage. "Doors open!" At that, a familiar witch walks in, causing Hunter's face to light back up. "Wi-Willow!?" She smiles and shyly waves at them. "Hey Hooty let me in and Eda said you two were up here. I heard a lot of laughing, what was so funny Hunter?" "U-Uh um n-nothing nothing.....Um did you...hear anything else?" She smiles and shakes her head, pulling out her scroll and typing quickly. "No just you, your laugh is really cute though. I don't hear it a lot~" She giggles and Hunter giggles sheepishly, playing with his hands. "Oh um...thanks Willow." Luz feels her phone buzz in her pocket. She pulls it out to see a new message from Willow. "I HEARD EVERYTHING!! :O <3" She smiles. "Hey wanna see something funny?" She asks Willow. Her head tilts curiously "Of course. What is it?" Luz's hand quickly finds Hunter's waist again and gives it a few quick squeezes

"ACK-! NO! NO HUMAN GET OHOHOHAHAHAHAAAFF!!"

Nah, for real, if that's when OFA transferred it makes sense when you think about it. When it began at Yoichi and 2nd, it was weak. By the time it reached Izuku, it was so strong that it needed not only a quirkless person to handle it, but DNA from the previous user to be consumed. Over time OFA, became stronger and adaptable to the point it's almost like a sentient being with the OFA Users inhabiting its core... I need to make this a separate post...

For the AU ask game -- Western Winterhawk!

Well, my immediate reaction is that @drgrlfriend has already written the ultimate western AU Freedom's Reach so I don't need to but two cakes, I guess.

SO a rancher hires a team to take a lot of cows across the West from somewhere to somewhere else, which is going to take a few weeks. Clint and Bucky are both on the team, along with, idk, probably Steve and Sam. Tony seems unlikely but maybe Natasha? And then a bad guy, let's say Rumlow for this one. He's the guy in charge.

It's miserable hard work and they're all coated in dirt and smelling like cows within hours, but apart from that it's all going fine, they're having companionable campfires in the evening and Clint and Bucky are making eyes at each other, casually flirting, all that.

Except PLOT TWIST Bucky and Steve are actually sheriffs who are undercover because they're herding the cows through an area where a gang of outlaws operates, let's call them Hydra. Not sure that's the most historically realistic name for a bunch of Western bandits but screw it. Bucky and Steve got wind that the outlaws had been tipped off that the cows were being herded their way, and that Rumlow is also transporting something smaller and more valuable with the cows as a bit of a front. Uh, let's say a case of fancy Swiss watches that the rancher's brother imported for him and he's selling to a watchmaker in the town.

Anyway, Bucky can't get completely close to Clint in case he gives himself away, and also he and Steve aren't sure who amongst the cowboys is leaking info to the bandits, so there's a bunch of pining and Clint wondering why this isn't happening when Bucky is so clearly into him, and Bucky lamenting to Steve that he has to be Professional about all this no matter how sexy Clint is etc etc.

They get to the bandit country, all of them on high alert as they sneak through the mountain pass but OH NO there's an ambush, the bandits come riding down and attempt to murder everyone and steal the cows and the money. Bucky and Steve are ready for them and there's a firefight. Clint helps them with his bow, and they hold the bandits off long enough for the others to escape with the cows (man I am glad I don't have to write a fight scene that involves having to rescue a herd of cows).

Except SHOCK Rumlow is the bandits' inside guy, he attempts to take out Bucky from behind, Clint saves his life but gets a little bit shot in the process. Steve shoots Rumlow, Bucky grabs Clint, and they ride off after the others and the cows leaving Rumlow for dead. They also manage to keep hold of the case that the watches are in.

When they stop to regroup, Sam fixes Clint up then he and Bucky have a touchingly romantic moment and end up kissing. Happy moment of joyful romance.

They only have a few more days until they get to where they need to take the cows so they keep going, as fast as a bunch of cows can, looking over their shoulders, but don't encounter any other issues. Clint and Bucky cuddle at night (no sex, not when they're surrounded by cows, haven't washed in weeks and Clint just got shot) and they chat about what their future might look like.

They get to town, deliver the cows to whoever was meant to be taking them, then head into the town for a night in an inn, a hot bath and, oh yeah, to deliver the watches.

Except they get to the watch shop, walk in, and are immediately surrounded by Hydra guys and Rumlow, who is apparently less dead than everyone hoped. He takes the watches from them and hands the case to the watchmaker, who is Zola, and he opens up a secret compartment in the case to reveal a shit ton of gold. The rancher, who is Pierce, of course, is paying someone in government off so a railroad route goes through his land and a station is put in, which will create a town where he is the sole landowner. He intends to turn into a sort of cult town, bring in all the little Nazi bastards until they have enough to dominate politics in the county/state and yes I am aware that actual Nazis would be anachronistic but you get the gist. He's trying to build a community of arseholes.

Rumlow announces he's going to kill Bucky, Steve & Clint and aims his gun at Clint. This time Bucky saves his life, there's a big fight scene and the good guys come out on top. It would be super dramatic and engaging in the actual fic.

Rumlow finally dies, Hydra get taken out, Zola is taken into custody, and Steve takes the watches and gold as evidence so the government guy can be arrested for bribery. Clint and Bucky ride off into the sunset towards their happy ever after. At some point after they've had a bath, they fuck.
