Hiii my love, can I ask for a ship? Sorry if it’s long or formatted wrong, thank you in advance 🫶🏼🫶🏼
I’m a female (she/her) , i have big heart, i’m funny, I like to relax, and I can be a bit of a grandma sometimes when it’s just me around the house, but otherwise i’m quite energetic . I love to chill and listen to music. I can have a bit of a short temper at times (I just think it’s because I don’t put up with peoples bs LMAO), I can also be very stubborn, i’m very loyal, like VERY loyal and I will always stick up for the people i love and go above and beyond to make the people around me happy. (which I think that can also lead me to being hurt or misused by friends)
I can be a little emotional at times, maybe a little dirty minded too lol, i love to cook, i’m a dog lover (really just an animal lover at that), and i’m competitive and passionate. I’m a very driven person and if it’s something I want to do i’ll make SURE it gets done. I Make up my own rules and I don’t give into unfair ideas that are put up around me. I lead with my heart and my emotions and if that gets me into trouble then so be it. i also LOVE scary movies, true crime, all that stuff, i’m also a SUCKER for reality tv 😭 (tlc does have some good drama though)
I would say I’m charming and it’s more of my words and my smile that gets the guys. I’m a bit of a germaphobe and maybe little ocd. Imma southern gal who’s very short, (5.0) I think I have more of an innocent look (despite my wild attitude LMAO) I have big brown eyes, wavy light brown hair, big lips, only like a couple light freckles on my nose ( you can see them better in the summer) , button nose, and an olive skintone that has paled over time, I would say I have more of a petite/hourglass figure but I think my chest is what catches people’s eyes (Im a size DD LOL) I have high standards, I can be very sympathetic, and I also can usually tell when people are in pain or when their vibe is off in general. I usually just joke or “laugh it off” and I can be very deadpan when something bothers me, or if it’s something that really hurt me I usually just shut down and become cold or distant. i’m an INTP, My hogwarts house is Hufflepuff ( even though I honestly thought I was a slytherin for so long 😭) My love language is physical touch for giving and acts of service as receiving (it’s really just the little things and showing that you care about what I’m saying or just being thoughtful). I grew up with brothers so i love watching sports and playing them (We grew up in a very competitive household lol) i’m very very family oriented, I’m a sagittarius, I like to play the piano, and read and write in my free time. and In the summers I love to fish and swim at my boathouse. And springtime is my favorite season.
For a guy, I wouldn’t really care about looks or any of that! I don’t have a type at all 😅 Just someone that can take care of me right. Sorry if this is long! Love you, Em!!!! 🩷🩷🩷
MY LOVE NEVER APOLOGIZE FOR THE LENGTH OF AN ASK I THRIVE OFF OF IT AND I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!!
Alright so this one just kinda came to me out of nowhere while I was reading your thing and the more I read the more it just seemed to fit!! I ship you with…
Floyd Talbert!!
Tumblr media
Song from my playlist that reminds me of y’all - Crazy Little Thing Called Love by Queen
How you met
So you both were in the pub in England where Buck and everyone were playing darts
Tab was just being his usual flirty self until he saw you
You were out just having a blast with your friends and he saw your smile and just
That's it he's Sold
So he sauntered over to you to try and put on his usual charm but your own way with words and just how PRETTY you are completely threw him off
So yeah sweet boy stumbles over his words and when you call him cute he just
Talbert.exe has stopped working
Suddenly your friends call you over so you give him a little wave before walking off but not before he asks you to dinner
Cue Talbert sneaking off in the middle of the night to see you whenever he can so y’all can sneaky make out like a couple of teenagers
How he knew he loves you
Ok so I picture it happening maybe you met up with him in Paris while he had some leave time
You and Tab and your friends were all out drinking and having a good time
Until someone bumps into one of your friends and gives them a glare
Like “watch where you’re going asshole”
And because your hands are rated E for Everyone of course you try and go to town
Until Talbert holds you back because he doesn’t want you to get hurt
Just… seeing your passion and loyalty to your friends, how much you cared, the fire in your eyes…
Something just clicked for him, he knew then and there he was in love with you
He tells you as he walks you back to your hotel room, standing outside the door, arms wrapped around your waist
He’s worried you won’t believe him because of his flirty reputation, but the look in his eyes when he says he loves you makes your heart just MELT
Of course you say it back because who wouldn’t
Before his leave is up y’all make the decision that you’ll go back to Kokomo with him after the war
A conflict and how y’all resolved it
So it’s after the war, both of y’all had long days, already on edge
Tab comes through the door and, instead of the welcome home kiss you always expect, he just goes straight to the kitchen, right passed you
You follow him because you’re worried about Tab, like, this never happens?? Tf??
You knew Tab had a temper but this felt different
You ask if he’s okay and he just stays silent
You ask him again in a quiet tone, “Floyd, talk to me.”
“Why should I? You don’t tell me everything. Why should I tell you anything?”
It just comes out of nowhere and cuts like a knife
Tab kept ranting, and you’re able to gather that apparently, a coworker that loves to get under Tab’s skin mentioned that he saw you at a bar flirting with a bunch of guys (literally never happened, you’ve been at home taking care of Trigger all week cuz he was sick)
Just… 1) the fact that it’s a lie… 2) the fact that Tab believed him??? Did he really have that little faith in you and your relationship????
The fight just blows up out of proportion, tears are shed, voices go raw, feelings DEFINITELY get hurt
Finally y’all just hit a wall so you just take Trigger out for a walk without saying a word
During the walk your brain just goes a million miles a minute
You thought your relationship was deeper than this?? Has it been like this the whole time but you just had rose colored glasses on??
You didn’t want to go home, but you knew Trigger was getting tired, and it was getting dark.
When you walk in the door, you see dinner on the table (your favorite), and Tab waiting for you, his eyes clearly red and puffy
“I… I can’t begin to say how sorry I am…”
He just looks at the floor ashamed
Tab takes a moment before quietly explaining that, when his coworker said what he did, it just hit different…
Tab never told you this, but he really doesn’t feel like he deserves you
Like, in Tab’s brain, you could go and pick someone ten times better than him, so why don’t you?
Tab got so scared, but he didn’t want to show it, so he got angry
By the end his cheeks are stained with tears, still looking at the floor
He’s so shocked when he feels your arms around him
“Floyd, you’re the silliest man I know”
At first he’s super confused, but you explain how much you love him and how you can’t imagine your life with anyone else
He just lets out a sob of relief and kisses you with the most love and passion you ever felt
Honestly it was rough but you’ve never felt closer to Tab than in that moment
Your Happily Ever After
Always taking care of Trigger together
Trigger needs a bath? Floyd “accidentally” aims the hose at you and starts a water fight
Trigger needs a walk? You have his leash on one hand, and Floyd’s butt in the other
SUPER romantic relationship, like, y’all are just constantly flirting with each other and it’s simultaneously disgusting and adorable
A silly headcanon about your relationship!
Ok but hear me out…. Once a week, y’all have a self-care night and it’s SO CUTE
Y’all help each other put on face masks, give each other massages
You just love to help each other relax and feel refreshed and rejuvenated after a long week
Sometimes Trigger gets in on the fun and y’all give him a little paw-ssage and he is in heaven
Honestly just being in that space with the two boys you love most feels like heaven to you
Aaaaaaa thank you for being my first ship Mac!!! Hope you like it ❤️✨

Pairing: Tanaka x Male Manager Reader
Genre: angst with a happy ending, hurt/comfort
Summary: how can you compete with the pretty manager he clearly adores?
Warnings: Insecurities?
A/N: I finished this at 3:30 am, so don’t judge the ending, also, the average male height in japan is 1.60 cm?? so i made the reader shorter than Tanaka assuming the reader is Japanese, sorry if you’re taller than him!
Words: 2 k
Tumblr media
There she went, pretty as always, beauty so mesmerizing it managed to turn the heads of boys and girls alike. Black hair slightly falling into her face as she leaned to pick up the water bottles, gracefully as ever. You watched as she left quietly, disappearing from your vision as you continued with the net you were already setting up. She was mainly the reason you were here right now, having approached you after school, looking for a second manager for the volleyball team. You almost had a heart attack when you realized she was actually talking, to you of all people.
You ended up agreeing with her, considering that you had yet to find a club, and, yeah, even though you thought it was gonna be weird at first, managers stereotypically being girls but got used to it very quickly. Now your biggest problem with this came in the form of an overly excited bald boy who was not only in love with Kiyoko, but also probably straight.
And it’s not like the whole “same-gender” thing is a problem, you already had a questioning phase in your life that consisted of several awkward crushes and big realizations. Of course, some people knew, but you were not openly out yet, and the only person in the team that actually knew was Ennoshita, who was also your closest friend on the team, thanks, mostly, to shared classes. You couldn’t tell if he knew about your crush, but something about the looks he sent your way when Tanaka was teasing you told you he did.
Shaking out of your thoughts, you heard the rowdy first years arriving at the gym. After getting an actual coach and somehow getting a new manager, the team got bigger, and stronger along with that.
That was a problem. Well, no, it wasn’t, you enjoyed how alive the club had gotten with more members and all of that, but it made you feel more distant from everyone. You were the only male in the club who wasn’t playing volleyball and the only manager who wasn’t female, so naturally, it felt as if you were mostly watching from afar. It was always ‘the players’, ‘the cute managers’, and you.
Looking towards the team, you noticed most of them were already warming up, and everyone but Kiyoko and the second year pair was here. Sighing softly to yourself, you could already tell how things were gonna go. Nishinoya and Tanaka barging in behind your senior praising her like always, thanking Yachi for joining too, and making her talk and smile more.
“KIYOKO-SAN!!!” was heard from somewhere outside the gym, and you knew you were right in your assumption when she entered followed by the boys. Looking away, you decided to spare yourself and go get the manager notebooks and some towels for when they finish. You didn’t get very far, running into Yachi halfway there, books already in her hands, saying that Kiyoko got the towels.
“y/n-Kun, I was wondering if you'd let Yachi and I take notes for today? I want to make sure she learned how to do so last week.” Kiyoko asked as you entered the gym.
“Yeah, no problem,” you said, cause there really wasn’t anything else to say.
You looked around during the first break, gaze lingering over the tough boy that unknowingly had your heart. You can’t remember when you fell for him, but somewhere along the line, his loud, energetic personality somehow made you want to kiss him.
It's kinda funny, to talk about it like you didn’t know why you fell for him, not as it mattered anyway, as stated before, there is no way he could ever like you back.
And this is where that left you, looking longingly at him while he looked at someone else, someone who looks better than you ever will. That’s what you told yourself anyway, because, in reality, it hurt more knowing that you had no chance with him, to begin with.
So you did what you best know how to do, push them both away and hope your feelings disappear.
You walked away to spare yourself from watching him flirting and borderline worship her, you stopped hanging out with him as much, limiting interactions and avoiding him altogether. This, however, backfired, as you noticed that as much effort went into building a wall between your friendship, he put in twice as much to bring it down. Somewhat reluctantly, you accepted the fact that you might never be able to distance yourself enough from him to actually get over him, and his stubbornness and persistence to “save” your friendship only made your feelings act up.
Or so you thought.
...
To say you were surprised when someone after a match started flirting with you, a male volleyball player, at that, was an understatement. You felt your face heating up as his frame loomed over you in an attempt to be seductive, as flattered as you felt, being so new to the situation, your brain barely gave you time to react before there was a muscular back in front of you and a boy with a shaved head “protecting” you.
---
Now, Tanaka, despite being angry and rough around the edges, cared deeply about all his friends, and he couldn't, for the life of him, understand what he had done to push you away. He wasn't the only one that realized how averse you were to be around him and everyone on the team wondered what had he done to hurt you so much. Hell, he had spent more than one sleepless night wracking his brain thinking about what he did to be able to apologize properly, hitting nothing but dead-ends.
He never before has felt so absolutely horrible after the thought of losing someone as close as you were, he didn't even think about how important you were to him until recently and now his drive to spend more time with you turned into painful brooding over how your relationship looked like it wasn't going to last.
Rubbing his eyes, trying to dismiss the tears threatening to appear, he focused on the situation at hand.
The match against Kakugawa was harder than what they initially expected, but now it was over and done and all that was left was to wait for Kiyoko and Hinata to return. Turning around to Noya for a bit of distraction he noticed out of the corner of his eye the way someone was crowding you, eyes cast down and body slightly shifting.
He did not know what came over him, but suddenly the only thought in his mind was making him go away and bringing you back to safety next to him. Body acting on his own, he didn't even realize he moved until after coming between you two, body and mind on autopilot as he dragged you back to the group by the wrist.
Only after reaching the rest of the team, did he stop to look at you, small, disheveled, and faintly trembling, holding onto his arm. Your eyes met and his heart sped up.
“You okay? Y/N?” he asked, trying to play smooth.
“Why did- why did you do that?”
“Well, I couldn’t let our cutest manager be hit on like that!” he said as if it was the obvious answer, paying attention to the way your eyes widened and your breath stuttered.
Before you could say anything, Kiyoko and Hinata had returned with Hinata's bento box, meaning the end of your conversation.
you returned to your house that night with butterflies that didn’t seem to want to leave tasting bitter in your mouth as you wondered what had happened and hoped it meant more, knowing you were just feeding yourself with lies as you looked at your wrist where he had grabbed you.
Tanaka was doing no better, grabbing his head- at the lack of hair to pull- while tossing and turning, thoughts plagued with the way his stomach stirred when you were clinging to his arm earlier and how you fit next to him like matching puzzle pieces.
He didn’t understand exactly what it meant, Saeko had talked about the word ‘bisexual’ with him but he wasn’t really paying attention, he was more focused on his past stupidity. He had known for a while that he and Kiyoko might never work out, getting over her fairly quickly during his first year. His fawning nowadays was mostly to keep appearances and, don’t get him wrong, he still thought she was beautiful and amazing, it was more a matter of him no longer having romantic feelings towards her. Now it was as if he had gotten punched in the gut with feelings that he didn’t know were there, a crush that was a bit too big and no idea if it was mutual.
Without knowing who to turn to for help, seeing as Saeko had helped him figure his own stuff up, but hadn’t spent enough time around you to help him with that, he went to the only other people he could think of. And that's how the next afternoon Ennoshita was dragged to his house by Nishinoya and him, trying to avoid you after practice so that there were no suspicions nor hurt feelings.
Both of his friends, after yelling at him because “We thought you knew about your feelings??” Made him write you the neatest note he could, asking you to meet him after school the next day at ‘your usual spot’, which was just a tree that you guys sit under most days during lunchtime.
So, the following morning, you found yourself staring at a card that looked like it was written by a kid with how shaky the letters were, but had the unmistakable handwriting of a certain trouble-maker that left you tongue-tied.
Hours dragged by, and only after what must have been an eternity, were you able to almost run over to the tree, knowing there wasn’t much time left, the club leaving you barely with ten minutes.
You missed his arrival mostly because you were distracted by the letter, but refused to look up once you noticed him, fearing you might give away how nervous you were due to his proximity.
“Hey so, I- I kinda realized that, after being friends for a while, I might like you? As in, more than friends. I don't know why I'm telling you this, I don't even know if you like boys like that? Noya and Ennoshita kind of convinced me to do this out of the blue"
As shocked as you were from his words, which weren't really registering in your brain, the somersaults your heart was doing inside your chest urged you to give some sort of reaction.
“Well, I don't know, maybe if you feel a similar way we could, go out sometime? hopefully? I totally understand if you don't though, and I certainly would like to keep being friends either way, so, um, yeah."
Your heart melted upon seeing Tanaka's flushed face, hand rubbing his neck as he gently rocked back and forth, not being able to look at you properly. Thanking whatever god may be listening, in an outburst of excitement, you threw your arms around him in a hug, almost tackling him to the ground in the process.
“I always thought you liked Kiyoko,” you said, muffled from the place your head had taken, buried in his chest. You could feel his boisterous laugh enveloping you into such a safe space, you doubted you’d ever want to leave.
“I mean, I used to like her, but I don’t think I see her as anything other than a friend after all, plus, why would I like her when I have the cutest manager with me right now.” He said, placing a soft kiss on the forehead, that truly made you wonder how you could be so blind in the beginning as to not notice the oblivious volleyball player’s clear feelings towards you, but hey, at least you weren’t the only one.

The Prisoner - Part 4
I was on a roll after part 3 and had this cute little scene pop up into my head. Plus, Garn really needed a moment to rest and take a breath, he’s been through a lot these past few days!
Part 1       Part 2        Part 3
The ship was relatively quiet. Or at least as quiet as a ship can be while bumbling around in space. Perhaps the more appropriate description was that the ship was peaceful. Garn decided that he liked peaceful. He wasn’t sure he understood what it was that he was feeling at first, he’d had so few peaceful moments growing up and working under the Syndicate, but once he figured it out, he decided that it was quite agreeable with him. It seemed to be for Porter as well. His smaller human friend had been recovering quickly after their run-in with Maika the assassin back at the Tupiti Space Port. He could now walk on the leg, albeit with a noticeable limp. Thankfully, it hadn’t seemed to affect his bright and energetic personality, much to Garn’s relief.
Right now though, Porter was asleep. As was Embry, the ship’s medic of sorts. During his time on the ship, he’d been able to piece together a bit more information about his new companions. Embry, he’d learned, had never actually received a medical license. She had training but had never finished. When he inquired more as to why, Embry changed the topic and became much more curt with any further additions to the conversation. Porter was a lot more forthcoming with his backstory. The gist of it was that he’d taken part in some big trading agreement with a private Earth organization and a splinter group from the Bartu Sovereignty that went bad. There’d been some illegal business “under the table” as Porter put it, and he’d been set up as the “fall guy”. The fact that he was a weapons expert and many of the illegal going-ons had to do with the criminal trade of experimental weapons only helped solidify his “guilt” to the authorities that cared. Porter had spent a good part of an entire rotation explaining in great detail how he’d talked, bribed, and fought his way out of the hands of bounty hunters, angry crime lords, sneaking under the radar of law enforcement, and in general living life on the run before he stowed away on The Shasta, this ship, where he met Kaya and Tig.
Then there were those two. The elder human and the kloxan’s story were still a mystery to him. All he’d really gotten to know so far was that they’d been part of a Galactic Confederation crew together. Garn didn’t know much about the Galactic Confederation, other they were considered a continual, pestering antagonist of the Trinn-Har’rups. He’d guarded prisoners of the GC captured by the Syndicate before they faced an unknown, though likely grisly, punishment for the crime of standing in the Syndicate’s way.
Garn felt that among the ranks of guards and soldiers, the Galactic Confederation and those that aligned with them were thought of to be pretentious, power-hungry manipulators. He’d always been around that sentiment, so he never questioned it before. He’d had no need to. Now he was on a ship that had two of them as acting captain and first-mate. Granted they were former Galactic Confederation, so maybe that old profile didn’t fit them. After all, he was now a former guard of the Trinn-Har’rup Syndicate, the stigmas tied up with him probably no longer fit so well either.
And anyway, Porter stayed with them, so they couldn’t be so bad.
Garn rose from the small pile of blankets, pillows, and towels that was currently acting as his bed. Porter had Embry help him scour the ship for as many soft fabrics and items that could be spared to make a spot for Garn to sleep until they could install an actual bed for him. It was nice, but he’d never slept on anything so soft before. Comfortable as it was, between the unaccustomed softness and the overall unfamiliarity that surrounded him, he’d had a hard time finding sleep. As carefully and quietly as he could, he made his way out of the sleeping quarters and down the short hall toward the main hangar room he’d been in when he’d first entered the ship.
The ship was old, but he had to admit that it had been well kept and he’d almost say lovingly maintained. He gave a small half-smile as his eyes ran over the designs in and around the ship. They were outdated. He might even call them antiquated. He liked it though. It felt right and… well he wasn’t sure how else to describe it. Inviting? Warm? Graceful? It was… he felt… like he could belong here. And that made him all the happier.
As he shuffled into the main room, he stood for a moment before he sat down on a bench along the wall to continue processing his thoughts. He wasn’t sure how long he sat there like that, listening to the hum of the ship’s engines and systems when he heard a small quiet grunt to his left. Snapping his eyes open, he searched in the darkness for the source.
His eyes caught a glint of movement from a chair. He felt his fur rise as he instinctively anticipated having to defend himself from an attack. None came though. His brain finally took in what his eyes were trying to see. There was no secret attacker, just human Kaya sitting in a very regal-looking chair. His fur dropped back down and he sighed a breath of relief.
“Sorry I startled you,” Kaya chuckled quietly. Garn could see her shoulders bounce slightly as she shifted in her chair. His eyes ran down her arm. Or where her arm had been. He’d been right earlier that day they’d first met. She hadd stopped what she must have thought was him going to attack Embry. The prosthetic he’d seen her wearing that day and every day since was now no longer attached. Her arm ended just above where her elbow should have been.
After a few tries, he was able to successfully look away. It was hard though. He’d heard humans were capable of surviving attacks or accidents even after losing a limb, but it had seemed like such a far-fetched tale that he wasn’t sure if he’d believed it. The shock alone of having lost a body part was enough to kill many species, but humans, as he now knew, were hardy and stubborn when it came to staying alive and continuing on.
“I… I didn’t realize you were here. I’m sorry I disturbed you,” he murmured as he stood up, feeling like he had intruded on something he shouldn’t have.
“You’re fine, Garn. Sit back down.” It wasn’t a command, it came out softer, like an invitation. He paused and considered that. An invitation. He slowly nodded and sat back down.
“Having a hard time sleeping too, huh?” the human sighed as she leaned further back in her chair.
Garn nodded sharply, then unsure how well humans could see in the dark followed up with a curt, “Yes ma’am.”
Kaya laughed again. “I told you before, you don’t need to call me ma’am.”
“Sorry ma-... uh, sorry. I will try to remember better.”
“It’s okay. I’m sure it’s what you’re used to. I, for one, know old habits die hard.” Her tone was soft and quiet. So unlike the interactions and reprimandings he was accustomed to in his life up to this point.
He settled down a little more, muscles finally starting to drop their worried tension as the two of them sat in the darkness. He eventually relaxed enough that he felt comfortable to break the silence.
“Are you… are you having a hard time sleeping ma- uh, human Kaya?”
She didn’t laugh this time, but Garn could hear the quiet smile in her voice, “We’ll get you through all your formalities yet.” She sighed and stroked her hand over where her left arm ended. “I am. Just some old phantom pains acting up again.”
“Phantom pains?” That sounded serious. Should he go wake Embry?
The worry in his voice must have been picked up because Kaya gently waved him back down as she reached to the counter and picked up a dark mug and sat back in her chair. “My arm may be gone, but sometimes my brain forgets. Sometimes it feels like my arm itches, sometimes it hurts, or at least my brain thinks it does. It doesn’t happen as much as it used to, but still more than I’d like. Especially when I’ve got a lot on my mind.”
She sipped slowly from the mug in her hand. Whatever was in it smelled sweet and calming. Kaya noticed him watching as she lowered the cup and rested it on her lap.
“Mint tea,” she explained. “It helps. Or at least, enjoying a warm cup of it helps me take my mind off the pain.”
Garn nodded silently, not sure what to say. He wasn’t sure what the etiquette was for this situation. He couldn’t take his eyes off her arm and where it ended, but he also knew that for many species, staring for too long at a person could be considered a challenge to a duel, or at least considered rude. Kaya didn’t seem to notice though, more focused on the mug in her hand.
“I brewed it myself,” She continued. “We’ve got a room here on the ship that we’ve filled with plants. It helps keep the air fresh, takes a bit of the strain off the o2 systems. That and sitting in the room or taking care of all the plants helps keep star sickness at bay.”
“Star sickness?” Garn cut in, unfamiliar with the term.
“Void sickness, star sickness, planet separation anxiety, there’s a lot of names for it. It’s not so much a physical sickness, but a mental one. I don’t know how many space-faring races have to deal with it, but it affects humans pretty frequently. It can get pretty nasty too, if it’s not dealt with. I make sure Porter, Embry, and I each spend a chunk of time in the plant room pretty regularly. It’s grounding. And relaxing. Smells nice too. A lot of the plants are, of course, good at filtering the air of impurities, but quite a few of them smell nice. Like the mint, for instance.” She took another sip from the mug and chuckled. “Even Tig likes going in there sometimes. You would think he’d find the humidity levels a pain on the circuits, but he says it doesn’t bother him. I think he finds the plants interesting. Sometimes I notice him laser etching bamboo stalks on packaging scraps when he’s bored.”
Garn hummed and nodded. He’d seen the kloxan do that too. Thinking of him and the human next to him now, he again started wondering at how different they were than what he’d always expected of someone from the Galactic Confederation. Just even in the past few solar rotations, the hard, no-nonsense shell he’d immediately attributed to her when they first met was actually more just her being firm and strong when needed, but thoughtful and gentle at her base. He’d learned so much in such a short amount of time. The galaxy was such a bigger place than he’d ever thought, so much more detailed and nuanced. It had all been so cut and dry and simple when all he knew was what the Syndicate told him. He exhaled deeply as he leaned his head back to rest against the wall.
“That’s quite the sigh,” Kaya noted. “Got a lot on your mind?”
Garn grunted an affirmative. Kaya sat silently as if waiting for him to elaborate. When he didn’t, she leaned her head back to rest against her chair and they both sat silently for a while.
Garn’s mind was racing, and at the same time, it felt like it was stuck in a sticky zawki pit. His thoughts were starting to run into each other and stretch or slow down until nothing was making sense anymore. Maybe he should return to the sleep quarters and try again to get some rest. He looked over to the human who also looked like she was having trouble with her thoughts.
“If I may ask,” he asked quietly so as to not startle her, “what made you want to leave the Galactic Confederation?”
Kaya tilted her head down to consider him a moment. Even in the darkness, he could see the lines around her eyes pull.
“I left,” she began and thought about it a moment, “I left to find my partner.”
Garn wasn’t sure what that meant, so he waited unmoving until she finally continued. Her voice was slow and deliberate, like she was carefully picking through every word.
“We… we were on a scouting mission and there was… an accident. We were separated. I was, well, I was recovered, but he wasn’t.” She paused again and looked down into her mug. Or maybe at her arm, Garn wasn’t sure. “I tried to convince them to go after him. They said he was gone. I appealed. I appealed again and again to higher and higher powers, but I kept getting nos. They told me he was gone and that trying to… recover him would… that it wasn’t worth the risk. He was a good man.” She frowned and looked up sharply. “He is a good man. I think he’s still out there. He survived. I can feel it. And I decided I was going to get him, by myself if I had to. Tig was on our crew as well. He’s been... a dear friend. Both to Ahmad and I before, and now. He believed me. He came along to help me find Ahmad.”
She looked back up at Garn. “Since we left the GC, we’ve found evidence that we were right, that he made it out alive. We just need to find him. And along the way, we’ve picked up a few other lost souls.”
Garn matched her gaze as he listened and thought on the information. She was on a mission. He, well, he was now for all intents and purposes, a fugitive on the run. Other than staying alive, he had no real plans, no goals. What was he going to do now? He must have spoken his question out loud before he realized it, because Kaya cocked her head and gave a small chuckle in response.
“What are you going to do indeed, dantum? I think that’s what everyone has to figure out. Until you do, though, I suppose you can tag along with us for a while.” She took another sip of her tea before she set it back down on the counter. “After all, it’s not like we’d be able to get rid of ya any time soon. Porter’s gotten attached.” She smiled and gave a short hum, “and I think you’d make a decent enough late-night conversationalist. Granted, you do need a little more practice.”
Garn felt a flicker of surprise and returned the smile. He’d like that. Here on this antiquated but cozy ship, surrounded by terrifying but welcoming aliens, he thought he’d really like that.

Get Motivated to Drop 2–4 Dress Sizes in One Month: 4 Steps to Get your Dream Body
How to lose 4 dress sizes in a month or how to lose 20+ pounds in 30 days all mean the same thing, losing weight on a deadline. Whether it be a high school reunion, your own wedding, or other specific occasions. But before we get into it, let’s talk about what matters most when it comes to effective and successful weight loss.
In this article, we’re going to cover the 4 steps to get your dream body. I always believe the best solutions are the simple ones so I don’t have 12 tips or 15 keys to losing weight fast. Just the 4 keys that are essential to successful weight loss.
Note: This article is more about the principles of weight loss and proper mindset to get you motivated for a higher success rate.
📷 If you’re interested in learning exactly how I lost 20+ pounds in 1 month without exercise after each of my pregnancies over age 40, then read this article for further details.
1. First Key to Successful Weight Loss: Set up Practical Goals 📷 Different Aesthetic Standards Let’s take a look at the picture above. Sure you see the woman in a black dress. I believe you may not find her to be super slim but she has beautiful feminine curves which make her look just as attractive as the lady in purple on the right, who’s holding a wheel position on the ground whom I believe most people would consider being slender. I don’t know about you but they’re both just as fit and beautiful to me.A friend of mine once told me when he was younger he used to find chubby girls much more attractive than skinny girls. As you can see, human perceptions of beauty change from time to time and vary from individual to individual. What really matters is the way you see yourself. In my opinion, every woman is unique and beautiful her own way. Some might be sort of ‘big-boned’ while others are rather plump or extremely tall and skinny. Each of us is born with an inherited body type which we sometimes can do little to change. So before we even jump into any sort of diet or workout plan we need to know what our natural body type looks like and get the idea of the best version of the body we are most likely to achieve and feel comfortable with it. It’s impractical to pursue the hourglass figure when your natural body type is rather tall and “narrow-butt” if you know what I mean. It’d be nice to have a body like that of Kim Kardashian, whom I pretty much believe is born that way.Measure Your Dress Sizes instead of Weight Losing 3–4 dress sizes in a month is actually a more specific goal than losing 20 pounds in 21 days. It will make you less obsessed with the numbers on the weight scale when all you have to do is measure your waistline & hip circumference. It will give you a better idea of how close you are to your fitness goal.2. Second Key to get you started: Mindset Mindset is essential for successful weight loss in the long term. You need to truly love yourself for who you are and be willing to do whatever it takes for your well-being. You are beautiful the way you are. You are worthy of a great and healthy life and you will get your dream body once you started believing in yourself. What are the real reasons that make you want to start losing weight? Health issues? Want to fit in some fabulous outfits? Abs that will turn heads when you’re on the beach?Try to find the strongest motivations that will get you started and keep you going towards your goal. They have to be bigger than just want to look great and feel good about yourself which by the way is nothing wrong either. It’s so important that you’re doing this out of strong love for yourself and your loved ones because it will give you the power to continue and get you motivated. That’s why having your mind in the right place is crucial to successful weight loss.My 4-year-old daughter asked me a question the other day:” Mom, will you still be around when I grow up?” “Do you want me to still be around by then?” “Of course I do! I want you to always be around no matter how old I am.” “I will do my best, honey”, was the promise I made to her. That reminds me of my parents, who are already advanced in age yet still being so healthy and energetic and not suffering any kind of pain which most elderly people do(backache, rheumatism, arthritis, knee pain, etc.).My father is a wise and experienced natural therapist and herbal expert and is able to take good care of himself and my mom. I am so grateful that my parents are still so healthy and I want to follow the good example they set up for me.I’d like to quote what my father used to say to us:” Always watch what you put in your mouth. You are not a trash can! Don’t just eat anything because it tastes good.” 📷 📷 Use the Power of Mind Think of Your Body as a small universe with your mind is the most powerful thing that maintains the balance within this small universe.Or if we think of the body as some sort of hardware then your mind is like the software that actually makes the hardware works at its best.I know this metaphor might
be a little too simplistic but it’s important to fill our minds with positive thoughts. Because your mind and your words actually have the power to program your life into the way you want it to be.If we fill our minds with negative thoughts then we’re most likely not going to take any action to achieve any goal that would make us healthier or have a better life than we deserve because deep down in our hearts we think it’s impossible or just too difficult to achieve. That’s why mindset is the key to successful weight loss because it is often followed by aligned actions which naturally lead to a change of lifestyle. Now that if you know for sure you are doing this out of strong love for yourself and your loved ones and you have your mindset in the right place then we’re good to go.Seek Professional Help Now if you are having some sort of eating disorder problem like you often found yourself staring at the big empty ice-cream container after watching your favorite movies at midnight.Or maybe you are stress-eating a lot or some of you even suffer from something worse such as bulimia or anorexia. Then the last thing you need to worry about now is the way you look like.I’d suggest that you look deeper into the real reasons behind your eating disorder behavior or even seek professional help if necessary. 📷 📷 3. Third Key that is Crucial: Maintain Hormonal and Metabolic Balance Maintaining hormonal and metabolic balance is the essential key to successful weight loss especially for women who are overweight and what they’ve been doing is eat very little and move a lot while still not getting the result they want.A hormonal imbalance can greatly affect women’s beauty and the distribution of their body fat[1]. For example, the lack of estrogen can cause our skin to lose its tautness which means the wrinkled face and fine lines around the eyes. When the estrogen levels are low it could lead to excessive weight gain as well. The growth hormone, which is known to be able to help burning fat while also building your muscles and bones during your deep cycles of sleep-[2][3]. That’s why having quality sleep is so important if we want to actually lose that stubborn fat that’s stored in our trouble spots because the effective fat-burning process actually happens while we’re sleeping not when we’re exercising. The Insulin hormone, also known as the “fat-storing hormone”, is produced by our pancreas, regulates the metabolism of carbs, protein, and fat. Insulin is released when our blood sugar levels rise. It helps absorb glucose from the blood and store it for future use. If we absorb too much glucose our body converts it into fat which causes weight gain. That’s why we need to stay away from refined sugar(or refined carbs) in order to prevent a dramatic rise of blood sugar levels that spike up the secretion of insulin which results in converting excessive blood sugar into fat.Cortisol is a steroid hormone, also referred to as the “stress hormone” due to the fact that its release is increased in response to stress and low blood sugar levels. We want to keep our cortisol levels down so we can turn on that fat-burning mode which boosts our metabolisms and helps us lose the stubborn fat in our trouble spots. Basically, when our cortisol level is high our body switches from the fat-burning mode to the muscle-breaking and fat-storing mode.I don’t want to bore you with the science here but it’s important that we understand that the human body is complicated and we need to take multi-factors into consideration instead of just simplify things with the “eat less and move more” equation.
If you want to know how to “eat more exercise less” to regain hormonal and metabolic balance then read this article to learn more.
📷
4. Fourth Key: Stop Dieting In saying dieting I mean any kind of calorie restriction diets or weird/extreme diets that might cause nutrient deficiency which could be screwing up your hormonal and metabolic balance and thus make all your efforts and attempts at weight loss go in vain. The kind of dieting that’s not sustainable and practical, the kind that makes you feel listless, depressed, tired and your moods swinging from time to time you could hardly summon any energy to do what you want to do.As I have mentioned before, we do need to watch what we eat but we also need to develop a healthy relationship with our food so we won’t be afraid of having food that would actually make us healthy just because it has higher calories. The thing about counting calories is that it’s hard to be accurate. The same food seasoned and cooked in different ways could have different calorie counts. When we count the calories of a specific fruit we also need to take into account other factors such as its maturity because of the difference of sugar content in it.As for the chicken breast we have is it with skin or without skin and what’s the protein to fat ratio of it? Sounds complicated, isn’t it? Well, it is and it’s exhausting and inefficient if you have to do this on a daily basis.By the way, do you always feel like you need to remove the skin of the meat you have because it will make you fat? Well, do you know that eating meat along with its skin actually helps you digest better, and having good quality fat such as natural animal fat actually helps you burn fat in a more efficient way? What and How to Eat Matters I don’t need to tell you what you should eat to lose weight healthily because you’ve probably already gathered tons of information from different sources about it.You know how important it is to have good quality proteins to help you build muscles(boost metabolisms), that you should also include healthy fat, carbs, probiotics, fibers, vegetables in your meals as well so I guess I shouldn’t waste your time repeating what you already know. But what about the type and combination of food, what kind of protein together with what kind of carbs and vegetables, the amount of each category, what seasoning to use, which food combination or pairing of spices/flavors works better, when to eat, etc?For example, Crab is a great source of protein, and orange is also considered a good source of carbs which contains low calories and several vitamins and minerals. However, eating a great amount of crab while guzzling gallons of cold orange juice may not be a good choice for people with poor digestive systems.Drinking soup made by a certain combination of meat and vegetables is different from eating each ingredient separately. Salmon is well known for containing omega 3 fatty acids which may also help us burn body fat. However, we need to look deeper into the nutritional differences between farmed salmon and wild salmon. We also need to be careful not to have seafood as our main source of protein given the fact that the ocean is highly polluted and chemicals and pollutants can be absorbed by fish or other marine life through their environment and diet.Yes, there is a lot to take into consideration when it comes to choosing food for health and effective weight loss.Losing weight or dropping dress sizes fast is not something difficult to achieve. Eating nutrient-dense food combinations in the right way can lead to rapid weight loss without having to starve yourself or doing excessive cardio/HIIT exercises.

Oh Disneyland Paris sounds fun yeah! Were you and your roommate already close then? I went to Walt Disney's world with my aunt and cousin when I was like 11 but it would've been way more fun if I could've taken my best friend with me for sure. Maybe we can go to the one in Paris now that she lives just 3h away from me! Oh I see, sounds like LA was really fun for you yeah! your roommate didn't mind third wheeling tho? Hahaha
Yeah Canada is beautiful but what I liked about it the most was the massive improvement in quality of life I had compared to where I was living before and just being able to be who I am and people accepting me for it. Not being worried about violence 24/7 felt pretty fucking great too. So yeah I highly recommend living there if you ever get a chance. But I am loving Portugal so far, people are a bit more judgemental here tho but I like that it's easier to travel to a lot of countries I've always wanted to go to. Everywhere you go there are pros and cons tho so sorting out priorities is key. But Toronto is my favourite of all the places I've been, before living there for a year I had already been two times!
Jesus 50 states, sometimes I forget how big the US is. And you can totally do it if you plan it out! After watching Bly Manor tho I really want to go to Vermont especially during autumn season looks really pretty! There's this fic I love (only the sun by prestonarchives) where Dani and Jamie go on a road trip from Vermont to Maine and I did their entire journey on Google maps street view bc I was so obsessed with this one chapter fanfic I had to immerse myself entirety in it hahaha. So now I want to go there irl. Here's the link if you haven't read it before!
https://bit.ly/3BLy4WR
Omg I totally remember reading that on CBML and being a bit confused bc I was like why would she think you can't see the moon from the great wall of China HAHAHA but I thought it was really funny and endearing yeah it's even funnier now that I know you said it irl haha.
Oh so ENFP-T means extraverted, intuitive, feeling and prospecting personality with a bit of turbulence. Which just means you're curious, perceptive, enthusiastic, an excellent communicator, festive and good-natured. On the other hand you can be disorganized, unfucosed, a people pleaser, overcommitted, too optimistic and restless.
I wonder what Jamies and Danis mbti are as well as their zodiac signs 🤔 I think Jamie might be an ISTP-A bc she's definitely an introvert, very practical, stubborn, assertive, layed back and energetic at the same time. And Dani is either an ENFP-T like you or an ESFJ-T with the whole selfless thing going on.
AE already made it canon that Jamie's an aries (and it makes sense) but I can't figure Dani out. I've thought about her being a leo ♌ bc she's generous, passionate, warm-harted and dominant in her own way and THE HAIR haha. But she's got some pisces ♓ vibes going on too...idk. aaand I'm back at it again with the astrology signs haha.
To be fair your recent drunken exp it was dark and at least you didn't think the road sign was a bear or something (don't know what kind of wild animals you've got over there) that you wrestled with and ended up in a ditch and your best friend let you believe that happened for 3 years up until recently haha. 😂 but yeah some things happen for a reason, having life threatening health issues doesn't sound great tho, but I guess it's a good thing it stops you from drinking too much and making dumb decisions. And hey maybe I secretly want that to happen again idk maybe moving countries is not exciting enough, I have to go out and make a complete drunken fool out of myself in a completely foreign place hahaha. I guess that did kinda happen last month when my best friend came to visit me from Spain and we got drunk on wine, I got lost on the way back home and it was way past curfew. 🤔 shit I'm 29 will I ever learn...
Episode 9 is 😢😍🥰😰😭🤬☠️ just the worst roller-coaster I didn't even know I was on. Haha I was more pissed off than heartbroken the first time I watched it ngl.
Well then maybe the way you do accents is friendly and funny so people can't really get mad at you haha. Like Dani! Oh so that's called a Geordie accent! I see, it's really really cool. AE said Jamie is from Lancashire but that's a whole county isn't it? Idk if there's a specific accent to this region. Knowing you speak kinda like Jamie is something else tho, I think if anyone who spoke like her ever talked to me irl I wouldn't be able to pay attention to what they were saying 😂 just the accent haha.
Oh so you already have 4k something words for it nice. I'm kinda starting to feel an obsession with this medieval AU growing in me, I made a Pinterest board just for it ngl hahaha but I'm still resisting creating anything for it, I did a face study yesterday for Dani and Jamie to see if I finally pick up the idea and just do it but my brain was still like "I don't want to do this rn" and was just being a little bitch about it so I'll just let it cook for longer see if we can reach an agreement eventually (if ever) haha.
Glad to hear you had a good weekend! Even if it left you feeling exhausted in the end. And yeah it makes sense for you to say you don't have favourites haha! Have a great week Colour, take care! 👋✨
Yeah me and my roommate have been friends since we were like 14 so when we went to Disney Land we asked if we could be roomed together because we've been best friends for that long now... been best friends since school and now we live together. She's seen me at my best, my worst, has seen me in all my stages in life and has been there for a lot of the rough stuff I've been through and I've been there for all the stuff she's been through!! Nah she didn't mind at all we had some moments where me and my ex would just go and be a couple and have dates but my ex didn't want me travelling that far alone so invited my roommate too because she didn't like the thought of me flying 11hours alone or being in airports alone so my roommate came with me and we had a great time Awwh good I'm glad it was such a nice place and that you didn't worry about violence all the time but I'm so sorry you ever had to worry about that anyway that can't be easy. I would honestly love to live in Canada I really hope I get chance one day... I'm glad you're loving Portugal but sorry people are judgemental there but I am glad it's easy for you to travel around to other places... oh yeah every place has it's pros and cons I mean England has some pros but it sure has a lot of cons too so I know all about that Yeah America is SO big but I do want to get around all 50 states at some point and I am stubborn enough and determined enough to make it happen eventually even if I don't get around them all until I'm like 70 I'll make it happen haha!! No I haven't read that fic but it sounds amazing so I'll definitely check it out thank you for sending me the link Yeah... that really happened to me and it was just a dumb moment where I had this momentary lapse of knowledge in my brain and now I look back at that question and I'm just like... "you idiot" and this is why people are shocked when I get questions in quizzes right because I have said some really dumb stuff but I'm glad people found it funny and endearing... and I'm glad it makes it better to know I really said that haha Oooo I didn't know that, I like that and I think it's definitely fitting for me!! I think from what you've said about what ENFP-T means Dani could easily be that too and I don't know anything about the other one but I will take your word for it matching Dani because you know way more about this stuff than I do. I have no idea for Jamie though. And with zodiac signs I love that Amelia looked at Jamie and thought she was an Aries, as for Dani I have NO idea what her zodiac would be... in CBML she's a Leo but in MoU with what I have planned for her birthday she'd be a virgo but I don't know anything about zodiacs... all I know is all the pieces I've ever met have been the opposite of what Dani is so maybe that has something to do with their whole charts but I know a lot of other people always make her a Pieces and I trust what other people say about zodiacs more than what I know about them because I really know NOTHING about them haha Nah I knew it was a road sign because of how heavy and hard it was- nah we have no bears where I live... I don't think we have many dangerous animals where I live... got a couple of badgers that can be pretty aggressive but that's about it we don't have much that is scary here or at least not in the little part of England I live. Having life threatening health issues has been hard and since having my spleen removed in January (that was the surgery I needed to try and fix the issue I had) things are even harder now because I have to take antibiotics for the rest of my life to stop me getting any infections because if I ever get a chest infection now or a really bad cold it can be really dangerous but I take it all in my stride and not drinking is just a way to make sure the antibiotics actually work properly and to make sure nothing happens to me... and like you said, means I don't do anything dumb too... haha drunken stories are the best I have been lost a few times when I've been drunk... and I don't think you do learn, I have siblings that are
like 40 and still do dumb shit... I know at 27 I am still doing dumb shit too I don't think I'll ever learn haha 😂 Its such an emotional roller coaster and honestly I was just devastated the first time I watched it... no TV show or movie has ever made me cry the way Bly Manor did when I first saw it and it still makes me cry now. I can cry just thinking about that last episode. I definitely mean it in a friendly way so I hope it comes across like that. Yeah the accent in Billy Elliot is a Geordie accent and its my favourite accent there are other accents around the north that are called different things. Yeah Lancashire is a county and again in Lancashire there are loads of different accents I can't really pinpoint Jamie's down to a city I just know it's Northern. I'm from Yorkshire but don't have a strong Yorkshire accent I just have a Northern accent, like people never believe I'm from the place I'm from because I don't sound like I am but you can definitely tell I'm northern... honestly there are so many accents in England... you can drive for two hours in any direction in England and the accent will change like two times at least it's insane... see a lot of people say that but I am not a HUGE fan of the northern accent and I think it's because I grew up there. I much prefer Dani's accent to Jamie's but like I said to me, Jamie just talks normal there is no accent really haha Yeah 4k words for it but it's all jumbled up it's not like a chronological story yet it's just all over the place haha but I hope I can get it all structured properly soon!! Awwh good I'm glad you're already interested in this medieval AU!! That makes sense you're resisting creating for it but I think it's so cool you did a face study for Dani and Jamie even if you didn't wanna finish it I think letting things cook for a while is always a good idea if you're not in the right headspace right away I had such a good weekend but I am so tired and today I had a busy day too celebrating my roommate's boyfriend's birthday so I've had so many days that have been so busy and right now I am just really to sleep haha!! Yeah definitely don't have favourites but I have spent more time with one of my nieces than the others simply because I always look after her if her mum and dad are working and I'm not... like until I start this new job I am looking after her for an hour every day after school while she waits for her mum and dad to finish work but I don't have favourites haha!! Thank you so much I hope you had a great weekend and that you have a great week too!!

➳ Recap: (Y/n) had a choice to make. Go after her broken friendship with a childhood friend, or stay with the new and intriguing project partner…
She decided to stay with Akaashi as her grades were at stake and she wanted to at least get along with the latter since she was going to be the Fukurodani’s manager after the 3rd years have graduated.
I could always talk to Tsukishima later. (Y/n) thought before snapping out of her reverie when she heard a familiar voice.
“Okay. Let’s discuss it after our practice match.” The vice-captain calmly replied. “Is that okay?” To which (y/n) immediately responded with a nodding of agreement. Akaashi shot her with a small smile before walking away and joining his team who looked on with a slight smirk on their faces.
It was gone, that unfamiliar way his heart babbles at her sudden actions. What was it? Either way, she was kinda cu—
Akaashi shook his head softly to hide his red tinted cheeks whilst (y/n) looked on and smiling softly at herself before starting to help the other managers on setting everything out: the chairs, the water bottles, the towels, etc.
Later after practice, they did talk about their topic and settled on the Development of Documentaries in Volleyball as both have aspects of Volleyball and Film. Their interaction was stiff and awkward but they did sort of makeup so (y/n) counts it as a win.
When the night came, Bokuto saw (y/n) walk past the gym he and Akaashi were practicing at. “Hey (l/n)!” Bokuto called out, gaining the younger girl’s attention “Do you wanna watch our practice with Nekoma’s captain? You could assess our skills and gain experience from it!”
(Y/n) thought about it for a minute before smiling brightly. “Sure, Bokuto-kun! I can only stay for a couple hours though, since we managers are gonna cook for you all tonight.” She reasoned out before adding, “Oh! Lemme get my clipboard real quick!” as she runs off to retrieve said item.
Akaashi raised a brow in suspicion at his friend who just smiled innocently at him before the ravennette began playing with his fingers as they invited two more people to practice with them.
(Y/n) came back with her clipboard after a few minutes, she was greeted by a surprising sight: Akaashi is tossing for Bokuto and Kuroo guiding Tsukishima while whipping Lev to shape by making him practice on receiving.
When did the two of them look so cool when playing volleyball? Especially Akaashi. She asked herself as she felt her cheeks heat up. I guess I haven’t paid much attention to him when I became a manager. She rationalized, nodding slightly as if to convince herself.
After their practice, Tsukishima approached (y/n) with Yamaguchi urging him to sincerely apologize while she did the same, bowing her head slightly. “Tsukki, I’m so sorry for not talking to you.”
“No, it’s fine. I didn’t take any effort too.” Tsukishima replies while Akaashi nods to you both as he walks past and stepped out of the gym with a heavy heart.
He had heard about they’re situation from the others and he wanted to give them space to sort out their differences but at the same time, something told him he didn’t like the way they got close to each other.
They may be friends but I’m— Akaashi stopped on his tracks, his eyes widening slightly in realization. It explained everything; the bubbling feeling and the heaviness on his chest. How could he not have known? The answer was in front of him the whole time, yet he didn’t notice.
Reason 1: He wasn’t the type to fight someone.
Reason 2: He could’ve agreed to her suggestion on the topic, yet he didn’t.
Reason 3: She was younger than him, which meant that she was stubborn and yet he couldn’t stop being cheeky and kept on bickering.
Reason 4— Akaashi suddenly realized something that shook his whole core, he only argued to get a response from her… Since they didn’t interact at all from the day they were partnered up.
With this new found information, Akaashi now sees (y/n) in a different light as he begins walking again with a small smile whilst a warm feeling spreads throughout his chest.
Tumblr media
(Y/n) sighed after eating dinner with the five schools. Making dinner for all of them was tiring and she immediately felt exhausted from keeping up with the hyper first years that Karasuno and Nekoma have. All she wanted to do now was fall onto her sleeping mat and sleep as she made her way to where the girls room was and knocked before entering. She laid out her sleeping mat while the two third years put on their pajamas before changing into her pajamas herself.
The next day came sooner than (y/n) would have liked. She groaned softly as she turned from her side to her back, her head popped out of the covers before pulling the blanket off her.
(Y/n) stared blankly at the ceiling before blinking once or twice and stretching her limbs to fully wake her up. A yawn escaped from her parted lips as she slowly sat up before dragging herself out of the comfort of sleeping in for the day.
All the managers and coaches gathered around the lounge area as they all prepared for breakfast before eating with the boys then practicing, and the process repeats for lunch and dinner. This became a routine everyday during the training camp.
As days of the training camp passed by, you and Akaashi mostly kept their interactions civil. Although, there’s still occasional bickering between them – it’s not as bad as before.
And when they did argue, the 3rd years would often tease them by remarking ‘how they quarrel like an old married couple’ to which (y/n) immediately denies, effectively and ultimately forgetting about the little squabble with Akaashi while the latter shakes his head in disappointment.
(Y/n) actually developed a somewhat okay-ish friendship with her project partner while her relationship with everybody else is like being the team’s little sister as she is the youngest. While she, Tsukishima, and Yamaguchi remained close. Occasionally, meeting up once in a while.
Bokuto started it all. He immediately bombarded (y/n) with his hyper energetic attitude, slightly overwhelming her with it since she wasn’t used to it as a certain someone from middle school was mean to her.
Then, Kaori and Yukie teaches (y/n) about everything she need to know about managing, including managing Bokuto’s mood swings while Washio occasionally gives (y/n) some wisdom on how to cheer their captain up or gives her encouragement which she appreciate, she actually look up to him and see him as her older surrogate brother.
Sarukui and Konoha offer (y/n) to teach her how to play volleyball while telling her about other team’s strengths and weaknesses, giving her tips and tricks on certain plays.
Ahanori and Onaga immediately became (y/n)’s friends, the three are always seen talking to each other or sitting next to each other during breaks and in between practices as the two males were easier to talk and approach.
On the last day, Tsukishima approached her. “Can we talk somewhere private for a minute?” (Y/n) agreed as he led her somewhere but Akaashi got curious so he followed them. “This isn’t easy for me. I’ve never… not like this. But. You matter to me. A lot.” Tsukishima started.
“Ok? I get that our fight wasn’t easy but you’re my friend—”
“I like you.” He interrupted, cornering her against the wall. “No, I’m not expecting a reaction, I’m just stating the fact that I like you. I’ve been in denial for years now, denying these feelings in my heart but I’m done. I like you. There. It’s out in the world.” He took a deep breath before continuing, “I like you, and if you don’t feel the same, that’s okay too. I’m not expecting you to like me back.”
(Y/n) gaped, her whole face turning beet red before gulping hard at the lump forming in her throat. “Oh, I see. I— uh...“ She shifted uncomfortably, looking everywhere for help.
Tsukishima slammed a hand against the brick wall. Halfway closing her in, but still giving her an out if she so chose. “You what?” he taunted. “Come on, (y/n). You know, you can form coherent words better than that.”
Akaashi stepped in and pulled (y/n) behind him, shielding her protectively as she pecked out from behind, holding his arm before looking at Tsukishima with an expression that said ‘I’m sorry’. He glanced between them and sighed in understanding, he gave (y/n) a wry smile and gave Akaashi a respectful nod before walking off.
For the rest of the day, Akaashi kept an eye on (y/n) and when they all got inside the bus, he sat beside her and held her hand throughout the day. He was doing something on his phone and noticed something heavy on his shoulder, he looked down and saw (y/n) leaning on it. Akaashi smiled, shifting slightly so they can both be comfortable before watching the scenery pass by the window until they reached the Fukurodani grounds.
Akaashi shook her lightly to wake her up, offering his open hand. “(Y/n), wake up. We’re here.” to which she woke up to, instinctively accepting his hand as she didn’t mind the way his hand fits snuggly in hers.
They continue their project; Akaashi does the research on his part while (y/n) does hers while co-editing it to fit their topic together perfectly. They don’t fight as much as before besides the occasional vague remarks from Akaashi that seemed kind of flirtatious?
(Y/n) can’t really tell as she never could figure out how the mind of her project partner works but she did notice that their interactions seemed to be getting more enjoyable. Back then, she was miserable as he pointed out all her weaknesses and mistakes like he already memorized them mentally. Now, he was sort of polite and humbled down in a way.
She approached him to confront him about it. “Do you regret it?”
“What?”
“You know..” she trailed off, struggling to find the correct words. “Everything…?”
He was quiet for a long moment. Heat flooded her face as she opened her mouth to tell him to forget she asked, but he finally said, “Just because we fought doesn’t mean I regretted anything as the matter of fact I didn’t, I enjoyed every single bit of it because I got to be partnered up with you.”
“Yeah.” She said with a bright smile. “Me too.”

Months went by after they got an A+ on their project together, (y/n) was now in the library and looking for a certain book that taught aspiring photographers how to start their own businesses from scratch. She found it on a shelf as she reached up to it, she discovered that she couldn’t reach it. She tiptoed in an attempt to somehow reach over it but failed miserably and when she was about to give up and move on, a hand went above her and grabbed the book she was reaching out for.
“Thanks.” She turned around to face the kind stranger only to see Akaashi was the one who helped her out. “Oh, it’s you, my partner in crime.”
He raised a brow at her before shaking his head softly with a small smile. “Always.” Akaashi replied before wrapping an arm around her waist, pulling her closer and placing his free hand on the back of her head. “You’re always my partner in crime and I’m yours.”
“Seems I’ve put myself again in a whole lot of trouble ahead.” (Y/n) chuckled softly before leaning towards him.
“That’s one of your weaknesses too,” He started before continuing, “but it’s too late to back out now.” Akaashi’s warm lip met yours in a slow yet sweet kiss before giving her the book she was reaching for and a brand new blue polaroid camera. Later, (y/n) took their first picture of them together in tribute to all the previous love quarrels they made.

One Small Step, One Giant Leap.
well hello, and welcome to your birthday week! you’re getting one of these on monday, wednesday, friday, and of course, your birthday on sunday so i hope you enjoy.. happy birthday week 🥰 p.s. ive already written one as well as this so i am prepared to some extent lmao ive planned this for a while
Dele always knew this day would come, but wasn’t particularly prepared nonetheless. Waking up that morning didn’t feel right, apprehension clouded his judgement, making him question everything. How should he dress Isaiah? What should he pack him for lunch? What time should they leave? What’s a healthy filling breakfast? Do his shoes properly fit? Silly little things that he knows the answer to, for a fact, although the Earth’s tilt felt off today. Today was the first day since becoming a father (disregarding a few nights out and day dates here and there) that he would be without his son all day. Even those times, he knew he was in the care of his parents or brother, not a teacher he’d only met once or twice at tours of the school; this felt so different.
Bundling him up, in probably more layers than necessary just to be sure and cover all eventualities, he carries his excitable, squirmy son out to the car and places him in the car seat. Emilia situates his tiny backpack and lunchbox in the opposing passenger's seat and tickles Isaiah’s knees before approaching the passengers' side door. “You good?” she asks Dele on her way over. “Yeah, just strange init” he says with a scrunch of his nose, perfectly resembling the mini version of himself in the back of the car. “We’re more nervous than him, Del” she laughs with a nod, remembering the conversation they had the night prior. In the darkness of their bedroom at 1am, taking turns in voicing their worries and concerns, talking it over and laughing at how stupid they sounded. Holding each other close, they assured each other of the excitement: it was the start of a new step in their lives, just one small step in the lifetime to come.
Carefully pulling into a parking space right near the entrance, Emilia chuckled as she unbuckled her seatbelt and looked to see Isaiah flailing his legs in enthusiasm. “Watch it, little man,” Dele joked as he grabbed his tiny feet in one big hand and poked his tongue out into the reflection of the wing mirror. With two pats on her husband’s thigh, Emilia climbed out of the car and began helping her son do the same. “Are you excited, little man?” He hears muffled from inside the car, watching as other parents guide their toddlers into the same building, already picking out which ones seem the most pleasant and which ones might give Isaiah bother. It seemed a high esteemed school with nice teachers, they’d ensured their children would get the best childhood possible without being set apart from the rest of the world because of their privilege. After careful consideration and tours around schools in the area, they settled on a quiet, small school not too far from Enfield, that way Dele could do the school run on the way to practice each morning, ensuring he sees his babies before a long day at the training centre.
Three weak knocks brought Dele out of his swimming thoughts, turning to the side to see Isaiah’s tiny hand smacking against the glass of the window, Emilia holding him up and laughing as he smudged up Dele’s windows. “You can clean that yourself, mister” Dele gasped as he got out the car, referencing the little handprints adorning the window behind him. As his son was placed on the ground, he reached down to hold his hand, allowing 5 little fingers to wrap around two of his own, seeing that Isaiah’s other hand was mirrored in his wife’s hand. They reached the congregation of other parents and came to a stop. “Issa, you’ve gotta be good, ey? Just like you are for mami and dada,” Emilia reminded her son, knowing his energetic tendencies. He simply nodded and gave a half-hearted hug, clearly too caught up in wanting to get inside and explore. “Remember to use your manners and make some friends, squish, you’re gonna have the best time,” Dele pulled his son into his side, saying the last bit more to reassure himself than the small child beside him, “We’ll be here to pick you up as soon as you’re finished, we love you so much.” With a small mumble of an ‘okay’ and a slobbery kiss on the cheek, he was off like a shot, not a care in the world.
“Di- did you see him?” Dele turned to his wife, eyes full of dramatic offense as Isaiah ran off into the classroom door, without even turning around. He could just about see him in the depths of the classroom, hanging up his coat and lunchbox on his assigned peg, his name, ‘Isaiah Alli’, written above in bold red letters. “It’s like he didn’t even care, he didn’t even look back and wave,” Dele pouted, not ready to accept his little boy wasn’t so little anymore. “Hey, stop that, he’s so excited, be proud we raised him to be so confident and independent, he’ll love it, babe,” Emilia reassured Dele, placing her hand in his and leading him away from the colourful nursery room. With one glance back, seeing his firstborn sitting in a chair he didn’t even know they could make so small, listening carefully to the teacher, ready to learn, he walked away with a content smile on his face.
-
They’d already established a weekday morning routine in the Alli household by the time it was Mabel’s turn to join school, ensuring Isaiah got to school on time and Dele made it to training early. However, like most things in their lives, Mabel left her mark on the peace of the monotonous mornings. She and her father were as close as any father and daughter could be. Unlike Isaiah’s first day at school where he prepared himself as much as possible for it, he decided to straight-up deny the fact he’d ever have to face that day with Mabel. Emilia always teased him throughout her first years, after seeing them do everything together and be by each other’s side 24/7, “What are you going to do once she has to go to school?” then laughing at his dramatic outbursts of ‘no’s and ‘shhhhh’s while covering Mabel’s ears.
Before the morning had even begun there were tears and pouty faces all throughout the night, a night of cuddles and comfort for them both in the looming air of separation the next day. They’d instilled a stern rule of ‘no sleeping in mama and dada’s bed’ from the get-go, and it was followed... Well normally. After twice as many bedtime stories as usual and Dele lying with her until she slept, he finally got into bed at around midnight with Emilia despite still sulking about the day to come. Not much later, the silence in the room was broken as her husband got out of bed once again, supposedly to empty his bladder or get a drink, but when he returned with doe eyes and a sleeping toddler in his arms, she didn’t know whether to roll her eyes and send him back or laugh and welcome the body plus another back into the bed. Of course, she did the latter.
Inevitably the morning arose and she couldn’t deny, opening her eyes for the first time that morning to her sleeping husband and their first daughter cuddled up was the sweetest thing in the world. With a sneaky photo taken, she rolled out of bed to open the curtains and softly wake up the sleeping lumps in the bed. “Goooooood morning,” she jokingly sang, “I’m gonna go and get Issa ready, can I trust you to get this madam ready or will you run off and hide together?” she eyed Dele with a poke of her tongue. After quickly changing she went to walk out to get their first child up, turning to Dele to give him a morning kiss, mumbling against his lips “I’m serious, Del, you’ll make it harder for yourself and her, rip it off like a plaster, bebe.”
They met downstairs once again. Isaiah was sat at the breakfast bar finishing off his apple juice, being questioned by Emilia on what he was excited about going back to school when she saw two familiar figures appear in the doorway. She barely had to look to know that Dele had gotten emotional again, phone in hand and the little girl on his hip, hanging around his neck. Emilia glanced at the phone that was slid in front of her to see a photo, clearly taken minutes before, of Mabel stood in her school uniform with a timid smile on her face and eyes exactly like her mothers, looking unsure and reluctant. She wasn’t even the emotional one of the two parents but her face softened at the sight, her heart could burst. Looking up from the device, she saw Dele in the doorway fastening each of the babies’ shoes on, so took another photo on Dele’s phone of the perfectly trivial domestic moment.
The car ride there was pretty silent from Mabel’s behalf, clearly full of nerves and bursting with thoughts in her little mind, mirroring that of her father’s. Isaiah evidently caught on to her nerves and rambled about how she’d be in the classroom he was in two years ago and how if she asked nicely, the teacher in there would give her an extra colouring sheet when they do arts and crafts, just to calm her nerves. Arriving at the school went almost the same way, Isaiah’s excitement to see his friends again got the better of him and with a haste goodbye he was off, leaving Emilia, Dele and Mabel to say their goodbyes.
It was one thing watching your child run off into school without a care in the world as if they didn’t even know who their parents were but it was something else completely to endure the opposite. Mabel was a carbon copy of Emilia, meaning that she was stubborn and determined, if she wanted to do something you couldn’t stop her but in the same vein, it was very hard to convince her to do something she didn’t want to do. Dele stood back and watched as his wife got to Mabel’s level and reasoned with her, knowing that if he got involved it’d make it ten times worse (she’d probably never even make it inside the school). Observing her little shy nods and scared glances over at the doorway broke his heart but when she giggled at something Emilia whispered to her, he was reminded she’d be okay. She could stand her ground, just like they’d raised her to and knew wrong from right. She was funny and had the personality of no other child they’d ever known. She was creative and smart and they knew already she’d be a teacher’s pet. She was just like her mother.
Emilia gave him a small nod, gesturing to come over and say goodbye, face plastered with a comforting smile but her eyes saying “if you make her emotional again, I’ll put your dick in a paper shredder”. Mabel turned around and ran into Dele’s arms as he crouched, cuddling her into him, “you’re gonna have the best day princess, I’ll be right here when you’re finished,” he reassures, just like he did to Isaiah. “Do you promise, dada?” she whispered in a quiet voice with doe eyes looking straight into his soul. “I pinky promise, bebe,” Dele stuck out his little finger, awaiting her substantially smaller one to link with his. With another cuddle and a pinky promise, she walked tentatively into the doorway, immediately turning and giving her parents a small wave and a dramatic air kiss.
“Thank God, I can finally have my husband to myself!” Emilia joked, jumping onto his back as they walked to the car once again. The pair probably looked a mess, one with a tear-stained face and the other messing around, acting like children amidst posh couples also walking back to their cars, but neither of them cared. They proceeded on home, giggling and messing around but if Dele waited by the door all day to go and pick Mabel up, well... Nobody had to know. They loved their little life together and their dysfunctional family.

Brotp Kyouya & Haru ((because why not =P))
Send me a ship and I will grade it: ||Still accepting||
I’m answering this in terms of a Brotp, and i’m teetering between A: I love it  and B : It’s really cute
[Note: In case anyone else other than Klee sees this, this is referring to her Kyouya from OHSHC. This is not about Hibari Kyouya from KHR.]
-
I dunno how these two would even meet or even begin to have a sibling sort of relationship, but if it happened for whatever reason, I think it would be a very interesting relationship.
I would say that Kyouya really wouldn’t have a hard time adjusting to Haru. I mean, look at Tamaki. He and Haru are both balls of energy who often have weird and crazy ideas and or fantasies. Haru’s love for wearing costumes fits with the whole Host club thing where they also are willing to go into costume for the sake of events or whatever.
I would think that Kyouya would be accepting of Haru from a generality standpoint. Haru comes from an average family, where her father is a college level professor who teaches mathematics. Haru herself goes to Midori, which is supposedly a famous all girls private school for very intelligent students. She is a part of the gymnastics club.
Her desire to be a Yamato Nadeshiko means that she will try to learn more… sophisticated skills, but we should know Haru’s personality. It’s a lil on the wildly energetic side. However, if you consider the future arc, where we see the future Haru for a brief moment, she was quite calm and mature.
It’s not wrong to say that maybe after YEARS her Yamato Nadeshiko training wore off. Still, her ‘Hahi! Haru–’ spoken tick doesn’t seem to leave and I love that. I’m similar in the way that I also speak in third person a lot and some spoken ticks of mine don’t leave so easily. Especially my habit to start out most things with ‘haha’.
In real life and online, I start a lot of my sentences with ‘haha’ because that’s how I actually talk. It’s just a habit of mine and I don’t know why? Haru’s stubborn tick makes me feel like I have a comrade lol.
Anyways, back to the scheduled programming you came here for: From an outside view, Kyouya can be viewed as a cool and collected character who is very keen on making money, only caring for that.
Though i’m sure you and I both know that’s not entirely true. He is cool and collected, but he does care for others, and he doesn’t always consider money into the equation of things. A good example would be the time when he helped prevent a person from being swindled. He tried to tell Haruhi that he did it because he recognized the person, but he wouldn’t have been able to see her ring behind the banner.
He helped because he wanted to, and he didn’t want anyone to be swindled. Also, he isn’t afraid to get into contact with people of all sorts of backgrounds. If he was all about money and only about money, he wouldn’t have interacted with people who aren’t of any use to him beyond what is necessary.
In my opinion, he treated most people the same way, with a level of respect and dignity. You don’t really see him looking down on people because of their status. He is also very conscientious, like when he makes sure to update Haruhi’s father on her activities because she doesn’t do it herself. He puts up with a lot of Tamaki’s shenanigans, so I’d be willing to say that his patience levels are GODLY.
He does have a temper when he’s first woken up though– but I mean… #MOOD.
From this, I’d say that he’s the type of person who likes to connect with people for many reasons, and their character is certainly one of them. You find out one of your customers were harassing another person? It doesn’t matter how influential their family is, you OUT.
There is dignity, morality, and just… kindness to that.
Given how he wasn’t against interacting with Casanoda, he isn’t really against people who are from a darker side of society. He judges people as they are, not really from where they come from. He doesn’t discriminate against Haruhi either who is a *~commoner~*. We’ve seen some people hold that against Haruhi before if memory serves me right.
Kyouya in my mind would not judge Haru for her family status, or her affiliation to the Vongola mafia.
I do kind wonder if it’s possible that he either approached her because she’s either intelligent, her costume making skills (lol), or just– hey she’s affiliated with a powerful mafia B3c (lol)
Just a thought on my part, really.
Anyways, Haru also doesn’t really judge people based off background either. If she did, she should have stayed clear of Tsuna from the GET GO, but she didn’t. She judged him to be a good person even if he’s a part of the mafia.
Of course, she’s also rather fearless, on top of being very optimistic. Even though she knew that Tsuna is supposedly the next mafia boss, she had no qualms over slapping him or challenging him to a duel when she thought he was abusing kids. She will absolutely not tolerate it. She has NO CHILL when it comes to protecting children.
Above all else, she’s very up standing when it comes to treating people right. It doesn’t matter if she loves you, if she thinks you are a bad person, she will drop you. She won’t let her love cloud her judgement to the point that she’ll forgive you for abusing people. She will not stand that.
I think that Kyouya and Haru probably share that kind of mentality. They both would want to associate with upstanding people. Kyouya is a bit more behind the scenes than Haru is, with the way he isn’t very outright with the way he does things. Sometimes he’ll help people behind the scenes.
Haru is more upfront about it, as she’s a very honest soul.
Haru is also a very dedicated person who is willing to go to far lengths for those she cares about. She has canonically put herself at risk for the sake of others. She’s very… how to say… impulsive. Very much so. Especially when love is involved. She’s very… hyperactive and full of daydreams. (Tamaki, i’m looking at you too)
Kyouya wouldn’t have a hard time adjusting to her, I think. Consider her a younger Tamaki tbh.
Haru is very loyal. When she thought that Tsuna had accidentally killed someone when he ‘blacked out, allowing his mafia instincts to take over,’ she said that she’d wait for him like a dedicated wife lololololol. There was no such thing as lets hide the truth! Nope! If you’re Haru’s husband, you better take responsibility for your actions and she’ll wait for you like a dedicated wife.
Certainly, there were theatrics as she went into that. Even if Kyouya’s reputation has some blots, Haru wouldn’t judge him for that. She’s the sort to judge someone based off her own personal knowledge. However, she is concerned about safety– so if the rumors said he was violent, she would care for that, ahahaha.
All that being said, if they did somehow form a sibling bond, i’m sure they would be good at caring for the other. Haru loves to visit her friends and check up on them. Watch her also make him bentos for him to try. You may have fancy chefs, but don’t you know the best seasoning is LOVE!?
Make sure you eat all your vegetables and fruits. They are healthy for you– but she doesn’t need to say that given his family background, riiiiiight????
Have a taste of the commoner bento filled with love. Join Haru on her escapade to the CAKE BUFFETS. This is how commoners enjoy their fill of cakes. lol
Kyouya… I feel, would be supportive towards her. Indulge her in her weirdness, and maybe help her towards her dream of being a world class costume maker. Hard to say since I can’t recall off the top of my head if he’s ever been around kids, but I think he’d be the sort to take care of people well.
I do think he’s the youngest child? I feel that given his upbringing, he’d be sensitive to the fact that younger children should be treated with care and with support. He doesn’t like the way he had to keep himself caged due to his brothers, and that’s so stifling. Due to this, I think he’d be more of the sort to allow a younger sibling freedom. To step out from the shadows, so to speak.
Can’t say if I think he’d be the sort to spoil people, but I do think he’d be the kind to reward people for good work? Like he gives people the praise they deserve, rather than just praising for the sake of it. Fairness is big and i’m sure Haru would like that.
It’s been said that she gets spoiled by her father and she’s quite embarrassed by it, so I think she’d be happy with getting praise for what is worth it. Being overly praised to become spoiled would probably make her feel embarrassed. She’s trying to be a Yamato Nadeshiko, spoiling her rotten would be bad!
All in all, I think, they’d have a comfortable dynamic? Truly, this depends on your interpretation of him. This is just my thought in generality.
I do think if they were to have a sibling like relationship, Haru would be happy to have him around and she’d be very affectionate. He’d likely show his affection in not so obvious ways in line with his cool and princely persona type.
One thing is for sure, they both have a temper that can be dangerous. Haru can probably fly off the handle if someone does something she views as morally wrong. Kyouya probably would do his own thing– but not fly off the handle, he’s too ‘cool’ for that, kek.
So I think if they both had a common enemy, it would not be good for that enemy. I feel as though if something happened to Haru, he would do something about it, but behind the scenes like the shadow king he is.
Just know, the moment you become a brother figure to Haru, she will try to get you to wear a costume. Who is she to deny someone who can help her model clothes so she can get them fitted? Some of her costumes… (by that, I mean most) are… interesting… //cough
I can foresee Kyouya having to deal with a mini Tamaki. The problem is that Haru has a temper and she WILL fly off if she sees something that needs corrected. Kyouya, have fun chasing after her. Do scold her for being impulsive as usual.
Haru is very optimistic, so she often uses her own theories to explain people’s actions. As long as she thinks you are a good person at heart, she can probably reason whatever in a positive light.
Except for abuse. She won’t even bother trying to see that in a good light. You hit a child, and it’s bye bye for you.
Really though, Haru is an interesting person with various interests. She is training to be a Yamato Nadeshiko, a model housewife. Yet, she has an interest in wrestling due to her father.
She is rather prude tho and gets easily embarrassed. RIP Lambo who got german suplexed because he had too many buttons undone on his shirt.
She did punch out a pervy doctor who was being a pervert towards her. I will always praise her for that. Good girl. So she’s certainly someone who has a temper and will use whatever means to protect herself from pervs. QuQ
I don’t think Kyouya would have to step in for that. I can see him praising her for a job well done while also thinking about how to deal with it on his end without her knowing. OTL||||||
So yeah, I think they’d have an interesting sibling dynamic where they like to support each other the best they can, or at least just enjoy each other’s company.

ratinthewall replied to your post: Hi! So your reread is both hilarious and I love...
so… this does mean you have to dish on your horoscope headcanons for the rest of the kids too :)
i mean this from the bottom of my heart: SO glad you asked. honestly the animorphs, except (appropriately) for ax, are like, so easy to identify with astrological archetypes when i went through it i almost thought these were all too obvious? like, oh, pegging the leader as a capricorn, real thoughtful. but just as jake is a capricorn not just because he’s the leader but because he is a million-year-old disciplinarian who hates himself and will throw down at the drop of a hat, the more i thought about all of these the more convinced i became.
cassie is a pisces. the elemental rules of thumb lead us straight to water for someone as ruled by her emotions, and as full of real respect for the power of emotion, as cassie; cassie herself, of course, has a number of meaningful interactions with water and water animals herself, from suggesting their trout morph to making friends with a psychic whale to channeling the whale to drown the veleek to the spiritual regard she has for dolphins to bidding aftran farewell in water form. pisces is associated with dreams and sleep, which also are recurring cassie motifs, from her reception of ax’s distress call to her interpretation of her own nightmares about choosing someone’s death in MM1 to the dreams that hint at the unraveling of the alternate timeline in MM4. when i think of pisces i think of a certain porousness, the end of the zodiac meaning, kind of, the aspect of human existence nearest and most prone to drifting into the broader fabric of the cosmos, which is cassie all over; jake calls her mystical in the very first book, she’s sub-temporally grounded (whatever that means), she’s kind of the only one of the animorphs that gives a shit about what happens to the non-human parts of earth in the events that the yeerks when for real, she has a talent for beautiful morphing (pisces is also a mutable sign). empathetic to a fault, alternately wise beyond her years and blinded by the immediate overwhelm of her own emotion, trusting her gut more than anything else. pisces. keywords: intuitive, dreamy, artistic, humane, sympathetic, sensitive, compassionate, perceptive, tender, impressionable
tobias is a libra. libra is the only inanimate sign of the twelve, which feels appropriate for someone whose sense of self as an actual person is as weak as tobias’s. libra is the scales, which is to say justice but also a balancing act, and, like, is that not tobias’s entire life? hawk/boy, predator/prey, kill/save. he’s looking, always, for the true balance of the components of himself, and in true libra fashion is never fully satisfied. he’s also the most consistent swing vote on the team, specifically because he’s the only animorph who consistently sees both sides of a story, who can hold the micro and the macro in his mind simultaneously, who can really look simultaneously at benefits and costs—and he often expresses himself carefully, waiting to speak until he can articulate himself, not getting caught up in the back-and-forth of marco/rachel on one hand and cassie on the other. my favorite passage in the entire series is his interior monologue in 23 about how every single human lives on that edge between savage and saint—about how for everyone, doing the right thing is a balancing act, doing the right thing in fact requires a balancing act because there’s never going to be just one right answer that gets you through everything. he can be judgmental, but he is also willing to cut people slack—he tells rachel, gently, to back off a teammate more than once. IMO tobias is the character through which the true moral message of the books—which (again IMO) largely hinges on exactly that idea that there are no shortcuts, no easy answers, that you are constantly figuring out what is needed today and you don’t always get to be sure it was right—gets most clearly expressed, which i mention mostly because, and i did not know this when i first pinned tobias as a libra, K. A. applegate is a libra too. keywords: just, sociable, refined, accommodating, kind, fair, diplomatic, likable, indecisive, respectful, artistic
rachel as an aries, again, like, it feels almost too obvious? is it jake that literally calls her the goddess of war? but, well: rachel’s comfort zone is the fight. she’s a creature of action, someone who likes doing better than she likes thinking, and who is not great at sitting still. she is quick to anger, she does have the temper of someone ruled by mars, and she will fuck your shit up if she decides you deserve it. she’s got that aries impulsivity, too—how many times does she do something only to think immediately afterward, or even as she’s initiating the movement, “so, this is stupid of me”? she’s not one for planning ahead, and although she’s aware of the biggest picture she doesn’t intuitively take into account the consequences of whatever they’re considering. she’s restless, driven by an internal battery. but she’s thrilling to be around, she lights people up, she radiates strength that others can use. jake calls the shots, but rachel is the one metaphorically waving the flag. keywords: active, initiating, leading, independent, aggressive, impatient, combative, energetic, pioneering, naive, assertive. plus, rachel as aries gives some fun things with both pisces-cassie and libra-tobias. rachel and cassie very much are poles on the animorphs spectrum, which is captured by placing rachel as aries (the baby of the zodiac, holding only itself) and cassie as pisces (the eldest sign, containing all of them); the two of them are simultaneously nestled next to each other and a universe apart. meanwhile aries and libra are sister signs, which: Aries is drawn into the Libran mystery and benefits from diplomacy when they become confrontational. In comparison, Aries can teach Libra the skill of quick decision making; which although impulsive provides the spontaneity they need. Libra can be indecisive to a fault, they can benefit from any help in this department! sound like anyone we know? i also (1) as a capricorn who has only dated arieses and libras like the idea of them as a cardinal sign power couple and (2) love and find very fitting with them and the series as a whole the idea that rachel is ruled by the god of war while tobias is ruled by the goddess of love.
marco is a gemini. motormouth whose speed of talk is outpaced only by the speed of his brain. big on intellect, low on internal emotionality. a joker, vibrating a little higher, a little faster than everyone around him. difficult for other people to get a handle on, comes across as more glib, more callous than he is (i, a gemini rising.... Can Relate). a people person, interested in others—he is the only animorph we see trying to strike up new connections well into the war, and like yeah it’s mostly because he’s the thirstiest animorph by virtue of being the only human without a counterpart on the team onto whom he can focus and have reciprocated all that desperate energy but still—but also good with others, charming and likable and the best liar on the team by far, the quickest on his feet. containing a central duality, not the way tobias does, where there’s a constant tension and ongoing recalibration between hawk and human, but completely, even comfortably: the lightest animorph and the darkest, the most chipper and the most terrified, the most normal and the most ruthless, and, crucially, given to switching from one to the other on a dime. thinking in multiple dimensions. keywords: talkative, mental, adaptable, flexible, changeable, responsive, sociable, superficial, versatile, inquisitive, witty. (also, interesting to think of marco & cassie as the two mutable signs to whose openness, changeability, etc. cardinal jake is drawn to.)
ax... you know, it really is fitting that he’s the most difficult one. does astrology even apply if you weren’t born on this planet? is his astrological birthday the day of his first human morph? do andalites have their own zodiac, their own archetypes, their own beliefs about how the constellations shape their lives? (i bet they do. military andalites are probably too rational for it, but i bet everyday andaites do have their own set of astrological concepts). at first i thought aquarius, because of the easy Out There/weirdo/alien connection, and his technological prowess connoting a certain intellect, but the thing is, although ax is well ahead of humans scientifically because of the advanced position of andalites as a whole, we don’t know that he’s particularly impressive by andalite standards, and in fact the series strongly suggests he is... not. (falling asleep in xenobiology, anyone?) now i think—and again, i’m less convinced of this than of the others, but the more time i spend with it the more right it feels—i like him as a taurus. the food thing is obvious, yes, tauruses like to eat, like sensual pleasures, and we know that ax finds human senses just absolutely mindblowing all the time and has NO shame about sharing this fact. but ax is also determined (to kick visser three’s ass, as a mere aristh!), and yes, can be stubborn (”yes, prince jake” / “twenty-five of your minutes”). think of how he builds a scoop for himself, fills it up with concrete physical things to make it a home—that’s very taurean, to me. (the tauruses i know fucking love nesting.) i also like the idea of ax as a taurus to jake’s capricorn, because (as a capricorn) i always think of taurus as like, capricorn’s less deranged little sibling, and i think there’s something to be said for the fact that ax and jake are similar people—unimpressive students who deeply want to Do Right—who have a similar outlook on the war (which is to say that they’re the two who think of it most fully as a war instead of a series of battles, ax because he brings in the bigger picture of the yeerks and jake because he has to take a broader perspective in order to make the calls and lead the team), but ax is 6000% less tormented and fucked up about it than jake is. keywords: persevering, down-to-earth, stable, stubborn, possessive, prosperous, dependable, physical, sensual. in my reckoning, the only fixed sign of the bunch, which feels true. yeah, i’ll take it.

You Were Never Big On Snuggles.
When we first met, I was almost fourteen.
You were one face in a litter of wriggly puppies that I was more than happy to to be swarmed by. While I knelt down to coo at you and your siblings, you jumped up and somehow managed to get your needle-puppy teeth on my bottom lip and pull me down.
So, from the beginning, I think a part of me knew you were gonna be a bit of a turd.
You were a neurotic dog taken home by an equally-neurotic family. You were an anxious little dude who didn’t like it if we wandered far, or had things change on you without precedence, and got bossy if your food wasn’t just right.
So, you were kind of a perfect fit for us.
We could relate, and I think we spoiled you quite a bit on that front.
You kinda liked to snuggle when you were a puppy. Or, you tolerated it (especially if it was cold). I think it was only because you were tired enough to just flop on us, and small enough to be carried and not do much about it. Puppyhood meant you had a lot of energy, so you basically crashed each night, provided we took you on long walks and ran you ragged. But it was also evident from early on that you were a little… sassy. And tushy.
I clearly remember when Mom was trying to toilet train you. You were figuring it out really well - we were introducing you to the outside, rewarding you when you did the right thing. But one day, you were very pupset with Mom, stamping your feet and barking up at her because she probably wasn’t letting you chew on something.
Then, right next to the open glass door to the massive outdoor toilet byond, you squatted on our hardwood floors without breaking eye contact with Mom.
Disaster was averted quickly, but even as Mom hurriedly carried you out, it was easy figure out that you were smart.
A little too smart for your own good.
You knew the tricks. You knew routines, too. But it became evident that it was less about pleasing us, and more about what was in it for you. Sure, you could sit. Yeah, you could lie down, roll over, shake (though we called it a ‘hi-five,’ because you didn’t like your paw being held very long). You would tolerate hugs. But you’d note if there was no treat in our hands, or if your food didn’t have just a little bit of cheese on it, or if we didn’t have one of your toys at the ready.
You knew what we wanted, but you mostly knew what you wanted. And while that would make things a little difficult for us (especially as you got much older, and change became hard, and being alone in the house was frightening), you weren’t aggressive about it. (Well, maybe once or twice when you were a pup, and figuring stuff out). But yeah. It wasn’t that you didn’t like us, or felt unsafe around us. You just had your own way of doing things. Your own ways of showing affection, and showing happiness.
You didn’t like snuggles, but you did make happy groans when I massaged your floppy lil’ ears.
I feel like my brother and I were more of a background presence in your life.
You loved Dad. Oh my God, did you love Dad. And Dad loved you. He was the one who walked you and fed you the most (a mixture of eventual routine and stubbornness - he didn’t like sharing the role that often). He was also the one who Listened to you the most. You were not completely content until Dad was right by your side. You guys were attached at the hip. Sometimes, if you were both nervous, it was a case of a major feedback loop of anxiety. But when you were both calm, it was the picture of serenity. You were his shadow.
Mom was more strict with you, and also probably played the role of caretaker the most when you were sick. (You took those pills like a champion, even though you made it very clear that they were not your Favourite). I remember her saying that she was probably more like ‘the Warden’ for you, but I think you loved her, all the same. She didn’t let you do many fun things, but she was always there and she made you Well. She made things Better, even if you didn't always get it.
Like me, my brother was very sweet on you. He hasn’t lived with you for a few years, now, so it’s a little difficult to recall his role. I remember him playing with you when you were both much younger, and you outright wrecking his soccer ball. I also remember my brother coming home from across the sea for the first time in years - and I remember you greeting him with such happiness. You lay on your bed that evening, calmer than we’d seen you in a long while.
I was just the person who gave good ear scratches, belly rubs and pats. Like my brother, I was sometimes the stand-in for walks and feeding time - and in your later years, your babysitter. I used to hug you a lot too - but then I learned how to read dog body language better, and made sure to give you more room.
You may have been sooky when you were left alone, but goodness knows how long you put up with us being sooky around you and kissing your nose and crowding around you, just because you’d been looking at us with puppy eyes. (You didn’t want us to come up to you while you were relaxing. Those eyes were a curse for you, they kept drawing us over with us cooing of ‘oh my gosh, oh my goodnesh’ and you just wanted to nap.)
I remember having hard days at Uni, and High School, and being at my computer to kinda dull myself to all that. I remember you trotting down the stairs to where I sat at my desktop, and giving me a lick on the elbow before going to curl up on your usual spot on the couch, nearby. I think you were a bit of an anchor to me - when days were rough or overwhelming, or I was floating three feet off the ground with anxiety, I’d go over to you and pet your back. You didn’t seem to mind.
You still didn’t like being snuggled as you got older, but you still did like your ear-rubs and chin scratches. You were maybe a little catlike in that regard - you liked your space, and you didn’t like cuddles, but you were not calm until my folks were sitting down in the living room, and you were curled up on your bed next to them. Sometimes, if I sat down next to your bed, your head would rest on my knee, and I wouldn’t be able to move.
But even in your old age, you were sneaky and still kinda sassy. If we’d just finished making food involving raw meat, you’d wait until we’d left the kitchen, then reach up and lick the countertop (‘technically, it’s not counter surfing’).
You weren’t as energetic these past few years. We knew you were getting old, and we kinda thought you knew, too. You didn’t run around that much, or need long walks, or anything like that. You were happy to just go outside, do your business, and come back in. You were happy to do a little play with the same toy that muffled your barks. (‘roo-roo-roo!’)
So, when you played really hard with a bunch of other doggos a couple days ago, Dad commented that you played like a puppy. It was an amazing morning running around, out in the rain with a bunch of other vizslas.
I kind of wonder if you had some idea that you weren’t going to be around for much longer.
The last time I heard you was this 4am this morning. I was woken up by the click-clicking of your claws upstairs on the hardwood floor. Then, Mom and Dad’s muffled voices, and the garage door opening up as the car drove you away.
I’m happy I got to see you again, one somber phone call and a car ride later. You didn’t see us. I like to think you heard us.
I called you 'a bit of a turd, earlier.' I’d like to apologise for that, but here's what I meant: You were tushy, and bossy, and sassy, and you were just you. Beautiful, wonderful you. You were a good boy. You were a very good boy and we loved you. We all loved you very much.
I hope you heard that before you were gone.
The vet today was patient with us. She told us to take our time, after you'd left us. So, we gave your head a few more lasting pats.
You were never big on snuggles, after all.

Poison-Wielding Fugitive   Chapter 23
Arleaf’s father stands up to stop me, but only to have the air choked out of him by his cough.
“Muu! Hold him back!” “Mu!”
Following my order, Muu leaps at Arleaf’s dad. I don’t think he’s exactly a match for Muu right now, but hopefully that’ll buy me some time.
Muu tackles the apothecary and pins him down face-up. Just to be sure, I hit him with a bit of Mild Paralysis Poison.
“Gah!—cough…”
That should buy me some time.
“Yukihisa?!”
Arleaf scoldingly calls my name out in, worried for her dad.
“It’ll be alright. I’m gonna save your parents... though I’m doubtful whether they’d drink this.”
I probably look like I’m being pretty stubborn right now. But this medicine is really tricky to make, and I don’t want to be liable for accidentally killing anyone. Of course, I don’t want anybody butting in. It might have been a little heavy-handed of me, but it’s because I don’t trust myself doing this.
“No… I think Father will drink it once he understands what it is. He mentioned that the potions you previously made were quite good.”
Is that right… rather, will he really understand?
‘Then explain it to them. Medicines with Marphina as the main active ingredient are effective against Bloodflower.’
I explain on Veno’s behalf.
“The disease manifests itself in the shape of a flower on the chest. That’s because Bloodflower is borne out of these tiny parasitic mold-type monsters that live on the patient’s chest.”
I didn’t think there’d be monsters like that. I guess not all monsters are visible to the naked eye. It really makes me feel as if being a Poison-Wielder is playing on easy-mode in this world. Everybody else has it rough.
“Marphina by itself has the same poisonous effect on the body as it does on the monster. But when mixed with Red Deathfire, it becomes more effective against the mold yet neutralizes the poison for the host. It even gains some antidotal effect.”
I get it now. That’s why you said it’s instantly curable. You just have to kill the monsters.
‘It is said that these mold-type monsters were the spawn of an infamous monster. The infamous monster has already been slain, but its creation lives on.’
The toxic mold monsters are instantly killed by the antidote. That’s why the symptoms go away immediately too. … does that mean the viruses and bacteria in this world are all monsters?
‘The only answer I can give thee is that it depends on the situation. There exist illnesses not caused by monsters. Bloodflower, though, is one caused by a mold-type monster.’
Whatever it may be, it’s a troublesome one. I don’t even know if I understand it completely myself. I’m not an apothecary. I’m just a Poison-Wielder and an inexperienced one at that. But if I can’t get them to understand it, they won’t take the medicine.
“That’s why Bloodflower doesn’t do much to people with high levels. The monsters’ attack is ineffective, so they just give up.”
I see. Because poison kills the parasites, I’m practically immune to this disease. The poison coursing through my body is deadly enough to immediately kill them.
“Your medicine lacks enough poison to kill off the Bloodflower. That’s why I’ve added in the plant that causes suffocation, Pogneuk, and deadly Dietetrodake spores; five percent by volume, to be exact. With that ratio, it should be harmless to the user but deadly enough to wipe out the monsters. Do you get it?”
The Mild Paralysis Poison subsides. Arleaf’s dad stays quiet and remains restrained by Muu. He doesn’t look too happy about it. I signal Muu to get off him.
‘What else is there… aye. Thou ought to prove to them that thine medicine is safe, so consume some in front of them. Well, even if the medicine were to be a failure and turns out to be lethally poisonous, thou shall be fine testing for poison with thine Poison Absorption.’
That plan’s just downright dirty… with that said though, I have no choice but to do it like this.
“I’ll prove it to you guys by drinking some first. I probably have been infected just by being here, but if not, it’ll work as a vaccine for me. With this, may I have your trust?”
Arleaf rushes to her dad’s side and nods at me.
“… I don’t think Yukihisa is mistaken about this. Father, won’t you give this a try?” “Cough cough… how boorish of you to get handsy on me, but I get what you’re trying to say. But I won’t trust you unless I see you drink some of what you’ve just made, seeing how it almost all poison. Don’t you fail now.” “Yes, sir.”
With his consent, I add five percent of what seems like pure poison… and mix thoroughly with the medicine Arleaf’s dad has made. I check if I had made this right.
Specialized Medicine Quality: Superior A fairly dangerous medicine made from toxic substances. Can heal certain illnesses. Extremely dangerous when ingested in large amounts.
‘A spoonful should be enough for it to work.’
It looks just like a regular potion and nothing more. I let it cool down to room temperature and drink a spoonful of it. It’s got… a particular flavor. A strong nose of osmanthus. Detect Poison didn’t activate, so I should be fine.
“Is this good enough?” “Cough… hold your horses. What if you go ‘Urgh!’ and fall over dead as I take a sip?”
Well, fair. Not much I can do but wait about ten minutes. As fine and unperturbed as I seem, Arleaf’s father looks at me with dubious eyes. His suspicion leads him to retrieving an expensive-looking bottle of antidote from a cupboard. He’s a cautious one.
“Father, wouldn’t it be less effective if you take both the medicine and antidote together?” “Arleaf! You were watchin’, weren’t ya? If he screwed up at all, I’m drinking nothing but poison. I’ve got to be prepared.” “Goodness… Yukihisa tested it for poison already! You’re being rude! Now, hurry up and take some of the medicine.”
Arleaf helps her father drink some of the medicine I had prepared.
“Ugh…”
It works promptly.
“Cou—huh?!”
Shocked, Arleaf’s father stops mid-cough and pats his chest. The petals on his chest disappear, as does the paleness on his face. He truly has fully recovered in an instant.
“What in the gods’ names?! I’ve been cured that easily?!”
That’s quick for sure. It took almost a whole second. The reason why it’s so easily curable is because monsters were the cause of it. Well… I might be cherry-picking, but the medicine in this world is amazing. It’s just like in a game, where your ailments heal at once.
‘Bloodflower may be dangerous, but the monsters are weak. Take the appropriate steps and they are easily defeated.’
They may be resistant to all sorts of potions and antidotes, so they do have some kind of fortitude. Not to mention, they’re microscopic, just like a virus. They’re bound to quickly die if you pump your body full of poison.
“Bloodflower isn’t really a disease and this isn’t really a cure… it’s monster hunting.” “Monsters, huh? No wonder medicine doesn’t really work…”
Seems like he believes me now. Well, he should naturally, seeing how effective the medicine was.
“How amazing… it worked this quickly.”
Arleaf chimes in, her voice filled with joy.
“The antidotal properties of the medicine you mixed up is enough to neutralize it. Well, make it safe enough to consume in small amounts at least. You should hurry and give some to Arleaf’s mom as well. We can eradicate this village of Bloodflower.” “By the by, thou shall gain a fair amount of experience just by being near someone who is cured by thy medicine. Furthermore, the medicine is effective against similar diseases.”
I ignore Veno’s good-for-nothing comments. Luckily, only Muu and I can hear him. Let’s see… we’ve also got to eradicate this epidemic. Else Veno’s worst case scenario might become a reality.
I had Arleaf’s mom take some of the medicine her husband and I made, and she quickly recovers too. It took some potions and healing magic to compensate for her depleted stamina, but she’s fit to be out and about by tomorrow morning. The next morning, the medicine made with Veno’s instructions was distributed amongst the villagers. And as expected, Bloodflower no longer plagues the village. For the next few days, I took on the role of apothecary and supervised the production of this cure.
It goes without saying, but everyone in this village and the next village over knows my name. They’ve all been impacted by the epidemic and all have gone through rough times. Desperate for a cure, people from nearby villages come to purchase medicine. Well, the ones afflicted by Bloodflower hoping to find an easy cure do so. Adventurers have returned as well, bringing their liveliness back to this village.
“Oh, Cohgray. You goin’ out?”
The proprietress was previously bound to her bed but now seems to feel much better. She suddenly calls out to me as I walk past the reception desk. Her bag-of-bones figure is a thing of the past. In a mere few days, she’s back to a healthy look for her size. Apparently, her other illnesses had complicated, but after a few trips to the apothecary, it seems like she’s fully recovered.
As a result of her vitality returning… all the fat she’s lost had resurfaced. Or something like that. However it may be, that sickly appearance is no more. I’ve even seen her borrows Muu’s axe to split firewood. They say she was a pretty famous adventurer back in the day.
“Yeah, the apothecary has just called me over.” “That right?  Yer givin’ it all every day, aren’tcha? Well, this is all thanks to you anyway. Ain’t that right, Muu-Muu?” “Mu!”
I’m glad she’s so bright and energetic now, but I wish she’d stop grinning at me all the time.
“Hey, why don’t I introduce ya to my niece? She’s a sweetheart.” ‘She is attempting to coerce thee into a marriage. Avoid it.’ “Oh, uhh, I’m flattered. Really. But I haven’t really haven’t given that kind of thing much thought yet.” “That right? Cohgray, yer about that age, aren’tcha? Might be a good time for you to settle down.”
Ah, jeez. She’s changed classes from Invalid to Nosy Auntie. She may be letting me stay for cheap, but damn. Time to bust out a secret ancient Japanese technique—the ol’ vague non-answer.
“I-I’ll think about it.”
It’s a roundabout way to reject her offer, but I wonder if it works in this world.
“Heh heh.”
Ah, crap. She laughed. Gah… what should I do?
‘”I do not have the time of day for your niece!” would have been acceptable, I believe.’
Yeah, acceptable for picking a fight!
“Sorry for holdin’ you up. Take care out there. You too, Muu-Muu.”
The proprietress thoughtfully sends us off.
“Mu!” “Right. I’ll be back.”
With that, we leave the inn for the apothecary.
“Oh, Yukihisa!” Arleaf greets me in front of her family’s shop.
“You’ve made it, eh, Cohgray?”
The doctor calls my name with an annoyed look on his face.
“How is progress, doctor? Not just with the village… the whole thing.” “It’s tapering off. Surely you know too.” “Well, yeah…”
He lets out a heavy sigh.
“Now then… it’s time we discuss payment.”

Personality:
Social: Leanne is a cheerful, playful woman with a lot of energy to offer, more than happy to laugh and cheer alongside others with her wit and sass, or simply have conversations about the nature of the soul, and the world itself. Unfortunately, she is far too self-guarded, very few having seen the woman that exists beyond the self-assured persona.
Optimistic/Pessimistic: Most of the times optimistic, as she holds to her idealism with a firm grip, yet is firmly cautious about not blinding herself to those ideals of hers. Positive Personality Traits: Soft-Spoken, Adventurous, Determined, Hard-Working, Energetic, Caring, Courageous, Daring, Idealistic, Romantic, Mischievous, Witty. Negative Personality Traits: Hedonistic, Stubborn, Relies too much on herself, Devious, Self-Guarded, Secretive, Sassy. Misc. Quirks: Always has a hat with her while traveling. Hooks:
Anyone interested in hiring a relatively famous, competent Adventurer for most kinds of work. Also Leanne is rather meddlesome if she finds an issue, her heroic bone telling her to shove her butt into business not her own right away if possible.
For people who has fought in the Liberation Front, Leanne has been seen here and there, dishing out a lot of damage alongside her companions while playing her magic ballads, that gave strength to whoever ally who heard. Her signature skill, a barrage of aetheric golden arrows, earned her the nickname “Golden Sky” amongst the garleans that survived.
People who dabble in music much like her, magical or not, stirs her curiosity and interest, as she loves to hear and learn from her peers, finding that she will grow better as a musician that way.
She’s looking for more contacts in the Adventurer Circle. Nothing like keeping fellow thrill-seekers united!
OOC:
Server: Balmung Timezone: 4PM and onwards on EST in weekdays, most of the time on weekends.
Looking for: Ingame and Discord RP are both fine, although I have a bias towards ingame. I’m rather eccletic in regards towards RP, so I look towards all kinds of it, but given the themes behind Leanne, things that leans towards a more “Neutral Good” alignment fits best for my girl. But once more, not afraid of tackling on Dark or Mature content, as Leanne had her best spurts of character growth while tredging along those murky waters.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica OC: Luna Yuzuki
Submitted by: daniluni
Reviewed by: Mod Charle
Tumblr media
Whe My first PMMM oc
Name: Luna Yuzuki Age at magical girl contract: 10 Time as a magical girl in main timeline: around 2 years Wish: To be a classical witch, with hexes, magic and curses. (She can only cause minor inconveniences though) Reasoning behind this wish: Because she wanted take revenge on her  elder sister Selene’s bullies, who shunned, belittled and beat her up.
I feel like you need more reasoning behind her wish to become a classical witch. In this scenario with Luna’s sister being bullied, I would assume Luna would simply tell Kyubey “give me the power to protect my sister”. I don’t think her wish would be to “become a classical witch”. However, you can still incorporate the classical witch appearance into Luna’s magical girl form, if she read many fairy tale books as a child and such.
Weapon: a cat shaped broom, which can float and support her weight, shoot beams of light (which are more like distractions) and be used as a staff (her method of fighting).
I’m not gonna lie, I really dig this weapon. She was 10 years old at the time of her contract which would explain the cuteness of her weapon. It’s also really useful and reliable at the same time.
Appareance and uniform: She is a short magical girl, with freckles gray eyes and long bushy hair, she wears a lavender poofy shirt with poofy sleeves, a dark purple vest with a big pink ribbon located at the heart position with her red soul gem there , a dark purple bubble skirt (with frills!), pink and lavender  stockings, dark purple shoes with ribbons, and  a pointy dark purple hat with a ribbon
First of all, I don’t think you mentioned her hair color. Second of all, I feel like her outfit might need some tweaking. She does give off a Selena Grace vibe (I assume a lot of your OC was influenced by her) yet it doesn’t fit your idea of a witch. I think it would be better if her colors were a little more on the darker side. The ribbons are a good touch since they add to her innocence and young age, but her outfit in general should look more like a witch (pointed shoes, spiky-ish sleeves) but I do LOVE the bubble skirt.
Personality: Frank, Stubborn,Supportive, Efusive,Sees things in black and white, Friendly, Energetic
She may be a little contradicting in herself, but it could work out.
Pre Contract and encounter with Kyubey: Luna and her sister Selene lived in England with their mother Chandra who often told them fairy tale stories
I hope these are stories about witches and fairy tales
and their father Kosuke, their lives where quiet and happy since Luna and Selene lived basically all their lives there, but, alas, good things had to end, after Chandra died of heart failure and there was no way of contacting Chandra’s parent’s, they had to move to Japan and start anew, while Luna adapted rather quickly, making some friends and becoming mildly popular, Selene had a lot of trouble due to being a slow learner, having a stutter, and a more withdrawn personality, being a clumsy pushover  which annoyed a certain group of girls (3 girls) who decided to pick up on her which hurt Selene’s already low self steem, and she started to develop a strong depression, starting to not care about anything.
Although the point of moving to Japan was to give Luna a chance to see Selene’s bullying, they didn’t necessarily have to move to Japan specifically. Japan doesn’t have any significant purpose in Luna’s story unless there is specific development in her character with one of the other present magical girls (although I do like it when OC’s keep their interactions and developments to themselves, especially in the PMMM world). There are magical girls all over the world, so London could have sufficed for the setting.
When Luna was taking care of Selene she spotted a catlike figure stealing something from her desk, and she ran to catch the thief , throwing things at them, and yelling angrily and through tears “You can’t have that! It’s from my sister and it makes her happy” the figure revealed itself to be Kyubey, who apologized and asked her for a contract… and she accepted.
Kyubey is a goddamn hoe
However, like I said, a more realistic wish for Luna would be for the ability to protect her older sister or something around that.
Despair: While things seemed to go better for Selene, her Bullies weren’t quite happy with that, because they  had inconveniences over inconveniences, that often got them suspended  (They tripped on their faces on P.E, broke their pens, got their uniforms splashed, arriving very late) they decided Selene was a jinx/bad luck bringer and decided to put the entire classroom against her, and Selene couldn’t take it anymore, when Luna went to the restroom, she found the dead body of her sister, with vomit stains and an emptied out bottle of floor cleaner on her hand, that scene broke poor Luna’s heart who just yelled “Why, Why?! ” Kyubey appeared just to answer it was her wish to be a witch, to attack Selene’s bullies and thats just what she did,Luna just started throwing things at kyubey, attacking furiously while her soul gem became darker and darker.
Man these bullies are MEAN. I really do wonder how Luna found Selene first before anyone else since she did commit suicide in a school bathroom. Kyubey is also a little bitch.
Witch name and description: Margaret The BullyHunter Witch: She has a protective nature, she cares for the powerless, the weak and the helpless, she cannot stand abusers and bullies, powerful on hot sun days, best time to fight her is in a cold and rainy night
You could probably change BullyHunter to something like the Chivalry Witch. It sounds a little more sophisticated. The witch’s personality and purpose do fit her very well, I have to admit.
Madoka’s reset: In Madoka’s reset she has a less black and white look of the world, and started to introduce Selene to her friends, being less vengeful and more supportive, and when time took its toll on her, Madoka took her away
I agree that this is a very good Madoka reset for Luna. However, I would like to know more about when exactly Luna was taken away by Madoka and how this happened.
Homura’s reset (yes im doing that too, lol) : While nothing much has changed and she still had to move to Japan, her father remarried, and Selene started to go to other school, with much nicer classmates, and Luna began practicing stage magic to surprise her friends, even though she wondered what would happen if Selene’s classmates weren’t nice
Stage magic is a good addition to Luna’s extracurriculars since it hints at her witch-like form as a magical girl. She seems VERY protective over Selene, and I would like to get more into the personalities and dynamics the two share.
Trivia: *Margaret (her witch name) is in reference of Margaret Hamilton, who was the iconic Wicked Witch of The West
NICE CONNECTION
*Her sister is 4 years older than her
If the age gap was 4 years, they wouldn’t be at the same school, which makes me wonder how Luna knew so much about Selene’s activities with the bullies. I would suggest making the age gap slightly closer. Also take into consideration grade levels. Luna would be in elementary school while Selene would be in middle school.
*She met Kyoko and Mami and fought alongside them, she thinks fondly of Mami, but doesn’t think highly of Kyoko, because she finds her rude, because of her black and white thinking
I don’t know if this has much of an effect on Luna’s story overall. I feel as if this is unnecessary and the plot would be fine if there wasn’t any interaction with the PMMM magical girls.
*She has a vivid imagination *Her mother was of  mixed race (Punjabi-White) *her life in Homura’s reset is what would have happened if she met and interacted with Homura *Her witch form looks like a combination of common witch familiars (Crows, owls, cats, bats, frogs)  while her familiars are cauldrons with broom legs.
I love her familiars.
Overall, Luna was a very good OC. I thought she was well written and well elaborated on. There are a few things you need to fix about her, but I think she is one of the better PMMM OCs I’ve seen (She’s not a Mary Sue!)
Tumblr media
Thanks for reading, and I hope this helps! (^▽^)

Perception, Misconceptions Pt. 1 (m)
Loosely inspired by the webtoon Cheese in the Trap
Written for my 2nd anniversary request game and the prompt: Hoseok + member’s POV
Word Count: 4,099
The movie playing on the laptop nestled on Hoseok's legs is reaching its climax. A dozen characters rush about on the screen, accompanied by a cacophony of blaring sounds. Hoseok is completely enthralled by the plot. You can tell by the way his breathing stutters and his hands clench on the edge of the popcorn bowl. It's a good movie—highly acclaimed and recommended by more than a few of your friends. But you can't bring yourself to pay attention to the noisy movie characters when there's an even more interesting character sitting right next to you.
Your eyes absorb Hoseok's dark profile instead of the flashing colors of the screen. His eyes are wide, eyebrows knit tight and lips slightly parted in concern. You've been dating Jung Hoseok for over six months now, but his beauty still manages to take your breath away.
You roam your eyes down his handsome face to his white-knuckled grip on the glass bowl. You want to hold his hand. It would be so easy to simply rest your palm on top of his tight fist and smooth out his stiff fingers. Maybe you could pretend to reach for a handful of popcorn, then let your touch linger…
Your fingers twitch by your side, but courage flits out of reach and you smother the urge.
Suddenly, a memory of the day you and Hoseok first started dating flashes across your mind. You remember the dark alley outside of your apartment complex—the single flickering lamppost illuminating the dank hall and the chill of the bitter winter wind whipping against your bare face. It had been finals week and you were anxious to get home and bundle up with blankets in bed after a long night camped out at the library, but you had to thank Hoseok for walking you home first.
Eager to get this over with, you had spun around on your heel to face him, but before you could get a single word out, Hoseok had abruptly asked you out. You remember the complete and utter blanking of your mind as shock as you had never experienced before rendered you immobile.
At first, you thought that you had heard wrong. How could Jung Hoseok possibly want to date you? Not only was the popular sunbae way out of your league, but you barely knew him. He was more of an acquaintance than a friend and this impromptu study session at the library was one of the first times the two of you had spent any significant time alone. You must have heard wrong.
But as time passed with you gaping at him without a response, Hoseok's shoulders had slumped. He raked a hand through his hair in embarrassment and stammered out an apology, "Oh… I see. Please forgive me if I have made you uncomfortable, ___-ah. I understand and completely respect your decision… Have a good night."
But before he could turn and take even one step away from you, both your hands had snatched out to grab his like you'd suddenly been possessed. It was an automatic reflex—an unexpected jerk like you've just been electrocuted. Hoseok had turned around slowly to face you again, his confused eyes meeting your terrified ones. And just like that, the two of you had started dating.
You continue to stare at Hoseok next to you on the couch, this time focusing on the sharp line of his jaw. It's as straight and prominent as a razorblade and your stomach clenches every time a muscle flexes. Even now, you don't understand why he's dating you. And back then, you were even more confused.
At first, you had assumed that it was just for convenience's sake. He's a dancer and you're a painter, so you share a mutual group of artistic friends. He had been single for over a year and you've never dated before, so it made logical sense for the two of you to hook up. You hadn't expected much from this relationship. And to be frank, you expected it to last about a month. You'd go out a few times, he'd help you get through all of your firsts and gain a bit of experience, then break up once he realized how utterly incompatible the two of you are.
You never expected to be dating him for so long… or so slowly.
It took Hoseok an entire month to hold your hand for the first time. And another month to steal your first kiss. Six months in, and you're still a virgin. A miserable, horny virgin who finds it harder and harder to resist her gorgeous boyfriend with every passing day.
God, you want to kiss him. His lips are slightly parted his head tilted down in the perfect angle for you to close the gap. It's been two weeks since he's last kissed you and you feel like you might go insane with need. But you've never initiated before and crippling nerves make the feat impossible. So you continue to stare at his beautiful face as terrible fantasies food your mind. But luckily the darkness of the room conceals your shame.
All too soon, the movie comes to an end. Hoseok sighs deeply in contentment when the credits roll across the screen and shuts his laptop, "Ah, that movie was so great, jagi."
You force a smile, as if you had been paying attention to the movie and not the delicious jut of his collarbones this whole time, "Yes, it was."
Hoseok smiles back and reaches out to fondly pat your hand. Heat flushes over you. It's incredible how he can so easily touch you like this. More than anything, you want to reach out and keep his hand on yours. But he's already rising to his feet. "It's late, ___," he says with a muffled yawn as he slips his laptop back into his backpack, "I should head out now."
"Let me walk you out," you say, instantly springing to your feet.
"Alright," he smiles, "Thanks."
You lead him through your apartment and to the front door, dragging your feet to slow down the process in a way you hope isn't too conspicuous. Then you inch the door knob open and pause, "When will I see you again, sunbae?"
"I'm busy with dance practice and my internship this week… But maybe we can get dinner one of these days?"
You nod, trying not to let your disappointment show, "That would be great."
"Great. I'll text you, jagi."
"Wait!" You call out, stopping him in his tracks. Hoseok turns to stare at you in curiosity and your cheeks flush, "Um… sunbae, it-it's pretty late now… Wouldn't it be better if you just slept over?" The one and only time he's ever slept over, he crashed on an inflatable mattress on your bedroom floor and you were too excited to sleep all night.
"Ah it's fine. It's warm out, and the days have been getting so much longer. Look—it's barely dark out."
You stomach drops at the sight of a few, stubborn rays of sun poking from the horizon, "Oh… okay… Please be safe, sunbae."
He chuckles and swoops down to wrap his arms around your shoulders. For a split second, your heart races when his face comes dangerously near yours, but it quickly drops again when he pulls back, "Will do, jagi."
As though struck by lightning, you lurch forward to cling to his thin sweater, holding him in place. Hoseok stiffens in confusion and that's when you take the opportunity to close the gap between the two of you and initiate a kiss for the very first time in your life.
The softness of his full lips feels like a slap of icy water in the face. Every nerve is on white-hot alert. You're so fully aware of yourself that it's almost painful.
Hoseok is immobile for a full second before he finally relaxes into the kiss. His lips move slightly against yours—chaste, as always, with absolutely no hint of moisture, but it's so delicious that your mind feels foggy from desire.
Then, something very unexpected happens—completely uncharted territory.
Hoseok parts his lips the very tiniest bit… Then, as quick as a cobra's strike, he runs his tongue over your bottom lip. It feels like a blood vessel has burst in your brain, the way electricity suddenly explodes through your nervous system. You've never felt anything so smooth and wet and fucking incredible. Your fingers twitch in his shirt as you unconsciously moan against his mouth. You would have done anything he asked at this point. In a blink of an eye, you're ready to give everything up to him. If he had licked you again, you're one hundred percent certain that you would have given him your virginity, then and there.
Instead, he pulls away, "Good night, beautiful." And then his back is turned to yours.
You stand there, knees wobbly and head spinning as you watch him walk away until he's turned the corner. And only then do you allow yourself to slump to the ground, touching your electrocuted bottom lip with a whimper.
You can't stop thinking about the brief touch of his tongue to your lip. Such an innocuous kiss, and yet it haunts you. You want him to do it again. To your lips, your neck, down to your—
Your face warms up at the thought and you slap both hands over your cheeks to hide the blush. Maybe Hoseok will do that again tonight. You're wearing a brand new dress that you bought just for your dinner date that evening. Your nails are done, your hair styled, and your new dress fits you like a glove. You look so pretty today, there's no way your boyfriend can resist kissing you again.
You feel like you might burst with glee as you skip down the hall of Hoseok's dance studio. You're not scheduled to meet him for another half an hour, but you wanted to surprise him. His showcase is in just two weeks and he's been working so hard that you want to show him your support in any way possible.
As you near the practice room, sultry music suffuses your ears. It's slower and sexier than his usual energetic hip-hop beats. Excited to catch a sneak peak of the choreography, you rush to the practice room and poke your head in. But it seems like they have already finished and you feel a twinge of disappointment as you watch the group of dancers idly stretch and wipe their sweat in the practice room.
Your eyes immediately latch onto Hoseok's slim figure and you're about to rush over to throw your arms around him when you realize that he's talking to somebody. You freeze, three steps away from him in the studio as you watch a beautiful redheaded girl throw her waist-length hair back and laugh at something Hoseok's said.
You're crazy. You're being completely unreasonable right now… But is it just your imagination or does the redhead's hand linger on your boyfriend's arm for a second too long?
You clear your throat loudly, interrupting their little moment. They spin around to face you and their subsequent reactions cannot be more dissimilar. Hoseok's mouth splits into a brilliant smile at the sight of you while the redhead's lips thin into a line.
"___-ah!" He exclaims in delight, "You're here early!"
You happily rush over to throw your arms around him, "Yes, I wanted to surprise you."
"Eh, I haven't showered yet," he says, trying to escape your embrace, "I'm sweaty and I probably stink."
"No, you smell great," you assure him, and you're not lying. There's something about Hoseok just out of dance practice, glistening with sweat and defined chest heaving for breath that makes your tummy clench. He does smell—but in the most delicious, musky, masculine way possible. You subtly tuck your face into the collar of his shirt to catch one last whiff before Hoseok is laughingly pushing you away.
"Yah, let me shower and get dressed, then we can leave."
Your face drops at the thought of him washing off his intoxicating scent, "Ok, sunbae…"
He chuckles at your disappointed expression and presses a quick kiss to your forehead, "Just give me ten minutes…" he's picking up his duffle bag when he suddenly remembers his dance partner, "Oh, shoot. I forgot to ask—have the two of you met before?"
The striking redhead crosses her arms over her chest, making her breasts bulge against the thin fabric, "No, I don't believe we have."
"This is Lisa," he says, playfully swinging an arm around his gorgeous dance partner's slender shoulders, "Lisa, this is ___, my girlfriend."
Despite your disapproval of their skinship, you can't help but brighten at his introduction. Lisa is not as pleased, "Oh… I didn't realize you had a girlfriend, Hobi-ah."
You bristle at her casual use of a nickname. Is she really so comfortable that she can just throw that term around when you yourself are still too awkward? "Yes, we've been dating for over half a year now," you speak up. You have no idea what's come over you. You're not the type to engage in this alpha wolf pissing contest. But you don't like the way she's eyeing your man.
Hoseok affectionately ruffles your hair before turning back to Lisa, "I'm going to hit the showers now. Do you mind keeping ___ company for a few minutes?"
"I don't mind at all," the redhead says, a grin plastered over her delicate features.
"Great." You smile just as widely.
Hoseok isn't sure how long he has been in love with you. He's had a crush on you since he first laid eyes on you when stumbling across your work at the Freshman gallery years ago. And when you went into your second year, and he into his third, the two of you shared a general education class. It was a huge media productions lecture required by both of your majors, and unfortunately populated with many of your fellow fine arts friends.
Hoseok spent a long, stressful semester trying to slowly burrow his way into your friend group. Then another semester in an obscure Renaissance sculptures class, which he just barely managed to pass, just because he overheard you discussing it with friends in the hallway.
After a whole year of this unhealthy, borderline stalkerish behavior, and a nearly fucked up GPA, Hoseok decided that something had to give. He couldn't continue to revolve his life around you. He needed to get over his infatuation, and quick.
So when he offers to walk you home on an icy December evening, he has his whole confession planned out. He'll tell you how he feels, then you'll reject him so he can get over you and begin the healing process. It won't be pretty, and he realizes that he'll probably be bedridden with ice cream to mourn for the next week, but at least it'll be over. It's not healthy to be so in love with a girl who's never looked twice at him. He needs to get you out of his system.
But when he stops in front of your doorstep to confess, he's struck dumb by how pretty you look illuminated in moonlight, hair fanned out like a silvery halo across your shoulders. His meticulously rehearsed confession slips from his mind. And before he can collect his scattered mind, he finds himself asking you out to dinner.
His face burns red at once, regret striking him dumb as he stares at you with fearful eyes. The minuscule, practically non-existent tendril of hope is extinguished entirely as you stare at him with wide eyes like a deer caught in the headlights. Only then does he finally snap back into it, fumbling an apology, sweat sliding down his collar despite the freezing wintry air, as he turns to make his escape.
Soft hands surrounding his stop him in his tracks. Hoseok slowly turns back around and nearly has a heart attack at the sight of you clutching his hand with determination.
"Yes."
It takes him a full second to process that unimaginable word coming from your lips, "Wh-what?" he chokes, feeling light-headed all of a sudden.
You smile then, looking so pretty that his heart skips and tumbles in his chest, "Yes, I would love to get dinner with you."
Hoseok never does manage to confess and get you out of his system. But somehow he can't complain. Having you as his girlfriend is a million times better.
You're innocent. He doesn't have to ask you to know. You blush at the simplest things, nervously ducking your head and avoiding eye contact when he holds your hand on the seventh date and giggling uncontrollably when he kisses you for the first time two months in.
Hoseok has no idea what possessed you to agree to date him. But it's clear that he likes you a lot more than you do him (…if you do actually like him, that is. He is still uncertain about that) and he'll do everything in his power to keep from scaring you away. If this means taking things slow to make sure you're comfortable, then so be it…
It's easier said than done.
Hoseok broke up with his last girlfriend a few months before he met you. Add in a whole year of pining and six months of dating, and it's been nearly two years since Hoseok has last had sex. He is twenty-three years old now and hasn't had an orgasm induced by anything other than his right hand since he was twenty-one. It's torturous for a young man of his age. And beyond excruciatingly painful when you're always in arm's reach, batting those eyelashes at him and frowning so innocently that he can't help but imagine how your lips would pout in the exact same way if he teased you with his tongue until you were begging him to let you come…
He loves you and he respects you too much to ever take advantage of you unless he knew that you truly wanted it. It's been six months, but you've never really confessed your feelings yet. You've never initiated anything, never reached out to him first. And Hoseok can't help but feel as though he's living a lie—that you're too nice and you can't say no to him although you don't reciprocate his feelings. He should really just let you go.
But then you kiss him for the first time.
It's your weekly movie night. Hoseok prefers going to your place for these dates because it's easier to extricate himself from the situation when things get too heated. The one time he had invited you over for a date night, you had laid yourself out across his bed, clueless as you burrowed yourself in the same sheets he laid in every night. Hoseok couldn't stop the filthy thoughts that flooded his mind when he took in the way you looked, hair fanned out across the pillows and sleeping shorts riding dangerously high up your thighs… It would be so easy for him to crawl between those delightfully spread legs and finally, finally sate his intolerable lust….
Yes, it's much safer to hang out at your place. This way, he can politely refuse to go into your bedroom, and keep a healthy distance between your bodies on the sofa.
Last week, he made the mistake of picking a romantic comedy he thought you would like, that happened to have a sex scene. Just sitting next to you while watching such an erotic scene unfurl across the screen made him uncomfortably aroused. This time, he picks the driest, Oscar-winning drama he can find.
And it seems to be going well. The drama is intriguing, yet so devoid of romance that he's able to curb his urges—well, at least, better than usual. When the movie ends, he's secretly patting himself on the back for his impressive self-control while he bids you goodnight. It's all going remarkably smoothly.
But then you grab him by the front of the shirt and yank him forward.
He's too disoriented by your uncharacteristic behavior to prepare himself. So when your lips crash into his, he doesn't have the time to hold his breath and steel himself like usual. As a result, your scent and the sensation of your unbelievably soft lips against his catch him by surprise. He's too weak to hold himself back and helplessly melts against you, lips parting automatically to deepen the kiss.
But the moment his tongue strokes against your bottom lip, you make a sound he's never heard before. You moan.
He could have never imagined such a sultry sound to come from his sweet, innocent little girlfriend's mouth. The moan is delectable—deep-throated, breathy, and so unbelievably sexual that his body reacts at once, blood rushing to his groin at such a breakneck pace that he jerks away from you in shock.
Hoseok is grateful for the darkness that hides the pain etched across his features as he bides you farewell, "Good night, beautiful,” he barely managed to grit out. And then, without a second glance, he turns to run for his life.
He just manages to make it into his car, the door slamming shut, before his hands are shoved down his pants. He fumbles with the belt for a few, devastatingly long seconds before he finally wrenches out his achingly hard length and begins yanking at it as hard as he can. The sound of your moan echoes in his mind on repeat, driving him utterly insane as he jerks off in the dark confines of his car.
All it took was one little lick to get you moaning like that. Hoseok can't begin to imagine how delicious you would sound if he touched you properly. Oh, how you would gasp and moan if he kissed down your neck, sucking bruises into the delicate skin, and inching his way lower and lower… He can picture the way you'd look, your head thrown back, eyes squeezed shut and mouth hanging open wide when he licks his way down between your legs, tasting you and making you scream his name. You've never been touched before. You're completely oblivious to the pleasures of the flesh. He would wreck you so good that no other man could ever compare.
His stomach clenches at those images, and just like that, he's cumming to the thought of you thrashing under the pleasure of his tongue faster than he cares to admit. He strokes himself through his high with deep groans, images of your naked, writhing body flashing through his mind as he basks in his high.
When his ecstasy finally dissipates, he's forced to come back to the grim reality of the cold confines of his car. He's covered in his sticky release and you're nowhere in sight. Hoseok has never felt more ashamed of himself as he tugs off his sweater to hastily clean himself off. This is not the first time he's gotten hard because of you. Nor is it the first time he's gotten hard in the same room with you. But he'd normally wait to go home to work off his frustrations.
Masturbating in his car with you not even one hundred meters away… This is a whole new level of gross. You're so pretty and innocent. Why can't he control his physical reactions and keep his love for you pure?
He's falling harder and harder for you with every passing day. With every new fact or quirk he learns about you, he feels his heart swelling until it feels like it might burst from his chest. He'll do anything to keep you by his side. If that means repressing his unholy urges, then so be it. It's a small price to pay to be able to see your face every day.
He just needs to work harder.
So when you surprise him in the studio a week later, wearing a dress that adheres to every curve of your body like a second skin, he rushes to the bathroom without a second thought, carelessly leaving you with his dance partner in his haste to take the coldest shower of all time to cool himself down. Or else he is not going to survive hours of alone time with you.
He refuses to ever slip up again... Not until he is positive that you reciprocate his feelings.
But who knows how long that will take?
A/N: I think this is the first time I’ve ever written from a member’s POV :O
Please don’t ask about updates! I think this will be around 2-3 parts! :)

Let’s Get Down To Business || Lina and Percy
To defeat, the huns.
Percy was almost excited, there was something about training people that brought back an almost nostalgic reaction for him. It was like all of those times that he had trained kids back at Camp Half Blood. He’d worked with the Ares, Hermes and Apollo cabins mostly, but sometimes he’d helped Annabeth with the Athenians. But now, now he was going to be training with the fourth. Which wasn’t going to be easy considering the fact that he was always going to be loyal to fifth. But for the moment he wasn’t going to let that stop him from helping. He hadn’t known what to bring with him, so he’d loaded himself up with Riptide and grabbed a shield which he’d slung across his back, he’d whistled for Mrs O’Leary and made the walk into Camp from the city. They’d agreed to meet on the Field of Mars to run drills, so as he waited for Lina and her cohort he threw the shield for Mrs O’Leary a few times, watching her bound over the hills and fields like a giant black dump truck of fun. Spotting Lina from a distance, he waved her over and smiled. “Hello Centurion Kolina,” he said doing his best to be serious, “I’m present and ready for action!”
If there was one thing Lina loved to do, as person and a centurion, was to surprise people. She didn’t stick to the most traditional methods, they were too expected at this point. While she sure other people thought that her methods were strange, she had made them for her cohort specifically. The fourth over the last few years had become a place for many demigods from minor gods and goddesses. She felt that this made people underestimate them, which in turn, caused her to push them harder than ever and train in ways that other people wouldn’t expect. Hence why she asked Percy to help train her legionaries. She waved back at him with a smile,“Hello, Percy.” Jogging over to him, she started to speak,“Alright, so I figure I can send them to do their warm ups and we can quickly go over what we’re gonna do, what you need me to do and help with, and I’m going to point a few kids who I think might need a little extra help.” She clapped her hands together and looked up at him,“Sounds good?” In this setting, Lina was certainly in a different mood, she was more energetic, but there was a certain confidence about her. She ready to take lead, but willing to hand over some to her guest instructor.
As Lina made her way over to him, Percy hurled his shield one last time for Mrs O’Leary, watching her bound off into the distance like a tank, each one of her bounds thundering a little bit. “Hey Lina,” he said smiling gently, “sure, warm ups and stretches are definitely a good call,” he smiled at Blossom as she began running laps with the other members of her cohort. Percy remembered those laps and knew that they weren’t fun, but they were necessary. Fitness was one of the key things that won you a battle. “Sure, so I’m going to run them through a few basic moves, sword stances, phalanx formations, that sort of stuff, then I was thinking we can break them off into groups of two, they can spar with one another and we can work with them to make sure that they’re training well.” He smiled gently at the Legionnaires, it had been awhile since he’d trained anyone but he was always happy to help with this sort of thing, he remembered how scary it was being out there without this training and he’d hate for anyone to have to go through the same thing that he had. “Let’s quickly talk about who you’re concerned about, then I can keep an eye on them and give you my analysis at the end of it?”
Lina watched Mrs O’Leary run off with curiosity, she hadn’t ever actually been near a nice hellhound. “I’m assuming your pet doesn’t live in your apartment with you?” She waved at a teenaged boy, who seemed to be leading the legionaries in their warm ups. “That’s Xavier, he helps lead the others when we need help. He’ll be able to help if we need a third person.” She was very proud of how Xavier had been able to step up the last few months. While Adriana had been in Europe, Xavier had helped run the Fourth with Lina. Now with both centurions busy with investigations and injuries, Xavier was helping once again. “Klara,” She pointed to a small, teen girl who was at the head of the group with Xavier,“She’s talented, but she relies on being fast more than she does technique. She ends up being sloppy with some of her moves. Mason and Julie both don’t use swords very often, Mason enjoys spears more and Julie is more interested in hand to hand.” Lina continues telling him about those who she’s worried about.
Laughing gently, Percy shook his head. “Mrs O’Leary is probably the size of the room that me and Annabeth share, so no, she definitely doesn’t live in our apartment. Me and Nico fixed up a nice den for her, she shadow travels there whenever she isn’t busy with her own thing.” Percy watched Xavier and nodded, “well if you’re confident with his level of training then you are of course the one who would know. He can help with the drills and check their sparring, the more eyes the better really…” he trailed off and looked at the three she had pointed out. “Cool, I’ll see what I can do, swords are my speciality, much better with a sword than with anything else really.” He watched them do their warm up before Mrs O’Leary bounded back to his side. “Thanks girl, it is time for you to go,” he explained as she nodded appreciatively before disappearing into the shadow of a hill, “she is more of a distraction than a help, believe me.” His explanation was based on experience. “I’m going to take the three that you pointed out to me, they can help me with demonstrations and you can help out too if you want, they’re probably going to want a reassuring face throughout this.” He knew that some Romans didn’t trust him, being a son of Neptune wasn’t going to help with that.
Thinking of the giant hellhound being stuck in a tiny apartment was rather amusing to Lina. However, she knew it would quite unfair to ask the creature to actually cram into a room that size. Still, it would be a thought she would save just for when she needed something funny to think about. “That’s quite nice of you, thoughtful to set something up for her. I am curious to what she’s doing on her own. Running errands, perhaps?” She was confident with Xavier, the son of Juventas was truly one of the most talented legionnaires she had in her cohort. “He’ll be a great help. He has a knack for helping with training, he enjoys helping the younger kids understand things.” She didn’t often have the opportunity to tell others about how good her kids were, which made her talk a bit more about them when she did. “Maybe you’ll teach me something as well. I’m primarily a magic user or I wield a whip. I don’t train with swords that often.” She didn’t question why the giant dog could be a distraction, it would distract her if a huge hellhound was playing in the field next to her while she trained. “If you’d like, for the first few you can use me. Then based on the reactions they give, we can move on to using those three. I do warn you, Mason likes to try to show off at times. He might try something to make himself seem cooler.”
Percy had seen Mrs O’Leary in his mom’s apartment, and he was sure that no one had enjoyed that experience, least of all Mrs O’Leary. “I hope that she is living a life that is well stocked and well cared for, maybe she is looking for Mr O’Leary, hopefully we can finally meet.” He smiled gently, he didn’t think much about what she was doing, despite the fact that she was technically a monster she was still smart enough to look after herself. “Is he thinking about a career in leadership?” he asked curiously, he seemed to have the characteristics for it to say the least. “Well, it is probably best for you to look good in front of your cohort, we can practice with swords later, I want your kids to know that you’re tough enough to handle whatever comes your way.” Magic was something that he envied of her and of Wally. They were abilities that he’d love to try, but then again, he wasn’t exactly under blessed with his abilities. “Perfect, we can run through a few basic techniques and then when everyone is a bit more comfortable we can move on, and don’t worry about Mason, I’m the worst show off ever, just ask Annabeth why I’m not allowed to help with sword training when we are with the Athenian cabin, she’ll tell you it was because I was a distraction, but the truth is that she just isn’t the swordswoman that I am.”
“Husbands are overrated,” Lina said lightly. She didn’t often speak about marriage or husbands, perhaps because she felt as though she had to hide what had happened in her own life. She nodded,“He’s looking to be a centurion one day. He’s a bit stubborn though, he’s not sure he wants to be centurion for any cohort other than the fourth.” Lina couldn’t blame him for that, considering it was exactly what she had done. The job could have been her’s before last year, however, Lina wanted to stay with her cohort. “They know I’m plenty tough, it might be good for them to see that I struggle with skills too. Normalize their own struggles.” She smiled softly at him, finding it amusing that he wasn’t allowed to help Annabeth. She often told the ones who would show off that they were going to be in the back of the group, where no one else could see them. “Well, I won’t try to say who’s correct in that situation, but I do think it will be good for all of us to see what you may or may not be showing off.”
“Speaking from experience?” Percy asked with a gentle laugh, a smirk dancing across his face as he teased her. Percy could understand wanting to remain with your cohort. If that were where all of his friends were, people that he had fought shoulder to shoulder with, well he wasn’t sure that he would want to lead other people after forging that sort of bond with his current cohort. “Understandable, if he really wants to be a centurion I expect that that is something that he will have to get over.” He shrugged gently and adjusted his grip on Riptide so that the soft leather handle sat in his palm more comfortably. “That makes sense and as long as you’re happy to follow that path then that is what we will stick to, as long as it is what you’re comfortable with. They’re your cohort after all.” He laughed and shrugged. “I think she is probably correct, she is the sort of person who is annoyingly right all of the time and there is nothing that you can do to avoid that. It is actually sad.” He smiled as the cohort finished their warm ups and began to congregate a few meters away from them. “Well, they look ready, so whenever you want to start you can address them.” He was a guest, he didn’t want to overstep his bounds.
Lina blanched slightly, realizing no one in camp ever knew about her marriage, and that her comment was pretty obvious. “Not really. Just from what I’ve seen,” She lied. It was personal experience, she truly did feel that marriage wasn’t worth it for her in the long run. It had been a bland marriage and a half baked idea when she had said yes. “I did that. It’s the reason why it took me so long to become a centurion. He’s following my footsteps, I suppose. The fourth holds a lot of pride, though I’m sure people would question why we do.” She was relatively sure other people saw the fourth as where some of the left of kids ended up. Anyone who spent time with the fourth would realize how many hard working legionaries they had. “I’m fine with it. It’s always healthy to experience other people’s talents and learn from the mistakes you make going against them.” She smiled,“She’s probably a very good person to have on your team.” She looked toward the group and motioned for them to line up. “Today, we have a special guest who will be helping us learn a bit more about how to wield a sword. As if I were leading, you will listen to him and treat him with the respect I know each of you have. No goofing off just because this isn’t the normal lesson.”
Nodding, Percy didn’t think twice about her reply. Marriage was a concept that he still had yet to experience, at least properly. He had seen his mother marry Paul but she wasn’t exactly his age and it was different when it was your mother. Percy smiled gently and nodded. “Don’t worry,” he replied, “I was part of the fifth cohort so I understand exactly what you mean when you talk about pride, I even fought alongside your cohort in a war game once or twice.” Nodding gently Percy smiled as he watched the cohort take perfect form and rank in front of him, his students in Camp Half Blood wouldn’t have ever managed something like that, combined with Lina’s speech and Percy found himself almost excited to get to teaching. “Hey everyone, my name is Percy Jackson and Lina has asked me to help today” he said smiling at them and waving, “if you can’t hear me just say and I’ll find a cone to speak through or something….” he trailed off for a second before drawing Riptide out of his pocket and extending the sword to its full length. “Swordsmanship is pretty common and you’re almost always going to be in a comfortable area to fight with it, whether you’re inside or outside. So I’m going to run you through some demonstrations with your centurion Kolina, then you’ll break off and practice what I’ve showed you.” Taking a step backwards he faced Lina and smiled. “We are going to demonstrate three moves, a parry, a counter and a disarm. Whenever you’re ready centurion.”
Lina’s marriage wasn’t something she necessarily regretted, however, she certainly wasn’t proud of it. There were moments she wished she could go back and change, the way she handled her divorce one of the main ones. Changing her address and phone number was a bit much, she admits now. “I remember and I’m sure some of them do as well. We didn’t think we could ever win against them. You showed up and suddenly we did. I think you helped bring a lot of pride back to my cohort.” Lina remembered the day that the fifth had bested the first and second vividly. She watched her legionnaires closely, happy to see them listening to him already. Lina took her own sword out, a pretty, but relatively unused thing. It was obviously functional, but the centurion was more comfortable with long range weapons. She readied herself and nodded at Percy to go ahead.
“I don’t know if that is true, Frank and Hazel had a lot to do with it too, it was hardly just me…” Percy trailed off somewhat sheepishly and shrugged, the limelight was a position that he enjoyed on his own terms. When it was forced upon him by people remembering things like that it just made him feel uncomfortable. The training that followed was effective at several things and by the end of it Percy felt confident that the fourth had come away with a lot more than they had come in with.
