Deidara: *turns around* Cancelled?

Sasori: Mm. Or rather, cancelled for us. I convinced Pein to send Itachi and Kisame in our places.

Deidara: But … why?

Sasori: *sits at edge of Deidara’s bed, and pats spot next to him for Deidara to sit as well*

Sasori: It’s just, well, two things. One, I’m worried for you, and two, I feel bad.

Deidara: Worried? Why would you be worried?

Sasori: We’ve been traveling almost non-stop for months, now. You’re not getting enough sleep, and … you’ve lost quite a bit of weight. And I feel bad because I know the pace we keep is quite hectic, and I know that’s my fault. I’m a puppet and I don’t have the same physical needs or limitations that you have, and a lot of the time, I tend to forget how tired you must feel.

Sasori: So I think, maybe, it’s time you had a bit of a rest.

Deidara: Danna -

Sasori: And with Christmas coming so soon, well … I thought maybe this could be a gift for you. *takes hold of Deidara’s hands* Just me and you able to stay here and relax for the week. No traveling, you able to sleep in a bed instead of on the ground. We can go to the market and pick out some food I can make for you, so that you can eat well, and —

Yoongi watched as you cut a piece of wrapping paper far too big for the gift you were attempting to wrap. He watched silently as you folded and pressed down the edges each time before grabbing a bit of tape to keep them in place. His fingers twitched at his sides watching you place the uniquely wrapped gift aside.

“I’m not even going to question whatever that is,” he commented, before walking away.

“What do you mean?” you asked completely oblivious to the hardcore judging you were receiving from him. “I just wrapped a gift.”

Yoongi sent you a look of disbelief, but didn’t say a word, despite opening his mouth to say something, “Nevermind.”

You followed after him, the next gift that would’ve fallen victim to your poor wrapping skill forgotten on the table. “What do you mean you aren’t going to comment?”

It would take a while, but eventually you got a response. And boy oh boy did you wish you had it go because now you were sitting beside the human embodiment of a grumpy cat teaching you how to properly wrap a gift, correcting you every time you folded the paper in a different way than what he had suggested.

Kakuzu: I had Nagato help me implant a small chip on the necklace, much like the rods he uses for his Pein bodies, only THIS chip will allow me a camera view of what he's buying, and the option give him varying degrees of electric shocks if I think what he's getting isn't needed. Konan: Why? Kakuzu: He claims he "hates" Christmas but every year he goes broke buying a bunch of decorations he gets tired of after a week, and presents that the others don't even need. And THEN he needs to "borrow" money from me to hold him over until the next month, and I never see a dime of it come back to me.
