Kijiko Pop Wellington Glasses Edit

A collab with awesome @pforestsims!

@rented-space shared a 3t2 conversion of Kijiko's Pop Wellington glasses here and I've recolored them in the distant past. I haven't found much use for those recolors myself, so I wanted to try something different.

Pforest came to help and edited the mesh to work with transparency and the material to look more like plastic. I turned the edits into a new standalone mesh so it can be used alongside the original.

We made 9 slightly translucent recolors; 4 gradients and 5 various tortoise shell patterns. They have a subtle shine on them, so the colors appear a bit different depending on the lighting.

Files are compressed. Available from children to elder of both genders. Binned properly as glasses so they will trigger the glasses TO and won't be layerable with other glasses accessories.

DeeDee's Julian's Jefferson's Glasses & My Recolors Reworked

The recolors of these glasses by @deedee-sims are the first thing I ever posted on this blog. Huh.

They have big textures though. So I remapped the mesh: instead of 1024x1024 textures, this reworked version has 512x128 ones without any noticeable change in quality. The file size went from ~270 KB to ~33 KB for each recolor.

I edited the one color (white) that Dee originally converted to work with the remapped mesh, and remade my own recolors too. They're not identical to the ones I shared five years ago but I kept them close to the original palette.

While I was at it I also turned the lenses a tad less foggy. The change isn't huge but I've grown to like them more this way.

🚨🚨 These use the same packages as DeeDee's original conversion and my recolors. Delete both from your game before adding these! My recolors have different filenames to follow my current naming conventions.

While taking the preview I also noticed that for any existing sims wearing the glasses, you might need to unwear and then reapply them for the mapping to properly update.
