With a lot of request of bringing this AU back, I thought I’d make a few changes and updates X3

Chaos AU

For those who haven’t been here since the start like a few others. The Chaos AU lives up to its name, following the four doing crazy shenanigans or being full out unhinged (when their all together of course. It has an actual story)(kinda, I’m working on it XD)

The main part of it follows Sig and Pebbs and their relationship (as friends) and how they grow to not a hate each other. It’s a simple AU, nothing really too angsty.

It started as a “What if” post last year about Sig and Pebbs. Most seemed to like where it was going so it expanded a bit.

But to some it up. Unhinged Iterator off the string type crap. More info shall come eventually.

Taeil definitely wants kids. He's more the traditional type so he'd like for you two to be married first. But no matter when in your relationship children come he will be ecstatic nonetheless. Taeil's obsession with you will only intensify once children are involved. He will love your children just as much as he loves you and is willing to kill deal with anyone who threatens his family.

"There's nothing I wouldn't do to keep you and our children safe. I promise."

Johnny would welcome the idea of children. Johnny doesn't do anything without intention, and whilst he'd be able to love his children like a regular father, he'd probably see them as another means of keeping you under his thumb. He'd hope having a baby might detour you from wanting to run away. He's definitely the type to weaponize your access to the children, punishing you by keeping them away from you until you behave.

"You're mistaken if you think there's anything I wouldn't do to keep you right here where you belong. Our children are no exception."

Taeyong is more partial to the idea of having children. If it happens great, if not he won't feel like he missed out on something. Taeyong would see children as more of a liability than anything else. More opportunity for people to pry into your lives. Naturally, Taeyong is just as protective of his kids as he with you. He cares for them and wants them to be happy but isn't all that attached to them like a normal parent might. However, he sees them as an extension of you and loves them for that alone.

"There's no one I'd rather have be the mother of my child than you, there's not a single doubt in my mind about that."

Yuta wants kids for sure, and a lot of them. He's not concerned about whether you want kids yourself or not. Once he's made his mind up about something that's the end of it. He'd want kids sooner rather than later but is at least willing to give you a little time to change your mind. Once the first kid is born this man isn't wasting any time and is ready to make the next one. Lowkey has a pregnancy kink. As a father, Yuta is the unconventional wacky parent. Rejects gender roles for his kids and wouldn't want them going to a traditional school.

"What's one more kid? You look so cute with a swollen belly..."

Doyoung wants children but only when he feels you're both ready. From the moment Doyoung laid eyes on you he's imagined the day the two of you welcome a child into the world together, but he's not the type to impregnate you recklessly. To Doyoung, it's important that you want this just as much as he does, a happy mommy means a happy baby. As a father Doyoung is on the strict side. He's big on good manners and high marks. Doyoung appreciates order and detests disfunction so he might struggle in the early years whilst your child is still young.

"Sometimes you act just like your mother. You should know by now little one that attitude gets you nowhere with me."

Jungwoo wants as many kids as you will give him. Before meeting you kids were never really on his radar. Whether you want kids or not is not that important to him, he will be sad if you don't want them like he does, but after all Jungwoo is the one who's always known what's best for you, right? Jungwoo is definitely the type to trap his significant other. Any birth control you have is either getting thrown out or replaced with something else behind your back. As a father Jungwoo is super involved. He wants to be involved in all your child's milestones, big or small.

"I didn't think it was possible to love you any more than I already did but now that you've given me a child, how could I possibly ever let you go now?"

Mark is indifferent to the idea of having children. He wouldn't mind them but ultimately he would see them as more of a distraction for the two of you. He'd only want kids if they were something you really wanted. Lowkey is scared his children will take after him more than you. As a father I think that Mark would be caring but distant. It's difficult for him to care for anyone else even half as much as he cares for you.

"You know anything you want I'll give you, I'm not opposed to tiny versions of us running around."

Haechan wants kids someday for sure. How many you two have is less important to Haechan, I see him being satisfied with even just one child. As a father Haechan is the laid-back and relaxed parent. Whether the child is a boy or girl he will want them to be his little miniature twin. He will love his children but isn't above using them as pawns to control you with. You want to leave one day? Sure, go ahead, but the kids stay.

"Don't act like you're trapped babe. The door is right there, waiting for you to use it anytime you want. But don't think I won't chase you to the ends of the earth if you ever even think about taking my kid from me..."

“Miss, you are glowing.” The younger man at the market had stopped y/n from focusing on the baby stuff that her, Minho, and Han had been looking at for the room. She was too kind to end the conversation with anyone, as the men had come to learn over the last year, and replied easily.

She was blushing, but that was to be expected when a man younger than herself complimented her in this state. And she was so sexually frustrated. She had been fucked daily multiple times by the men she was with, and now they won’t even kiss her now that she is with child. “I don’t feel it, but thank you. The babies are making me feel like a whale at this point.” She rubbed the big belly that held their babies. Reminding herself of what got her to this point; the gorgeous couple you were staying with.

Han looked over to his husband and saw how pissed he was becoming. They hadn’t told y/n anything, but the men spoke to each other of how protective they felt towards her.

“No way, miss. You are gorgeous. If anything, the belly makes you even more beautiful.” He was buttering her up so much. It seems he’s realized that she was here with a gay couple, thus she appeared to be fair game.

She looked over to the men as she stuttered, unable to find the right response as she became more amused and excited by the comments. “You’re too kind. Thank you for the sweet words.”

“If you don’t currently have a boyfriend, I would love to take you out some time?”

That was it. Minho couldn’t stop observing any longer. The sexual frustration of not fucking her for the last three months and watching this stranger trying to get to know her was overflowing.

“She’s actually with us. Those are our babies in there. So, she will not be going out with random boys on the street. But thank you for noticing how beautiful she is. Bye.”

Han and y/n both stood in place around the clothing rack with their mouths agape. Staring down the man they both cared for extremely. Both shocked that he actually said that in public, but not really at the same time. Han knew he was possessive of the babies and watching her like a hawk, but THIS was something new.

Y/n turned around to apologize but the younger man had already ran away with his tail between his legs. She was furious now. And that fury was coming out in the form of tears due to the wacky hormones, “Lee Minho. I don’t know what overcame you just now. But that was completely inappropriate.”

He rolled his eyes at your comment on the matter, trying to decide if it’s best to backtrack or say what’s on his mind. “You are with us technically. I will be damned if you are alone with a stranger while our babies are inside.”

“I was going to reject him myself. I’m here for you guys. You two are enough for me.”

The surprise was evident on Minhos face. Maybe he did overreact. Han spoke up, “You have every right to be upset. I’m so sorry he spoke over you like that. Let’s just go home, yeah?”

You agreed with him since you were unable to get a hold of your emotions. Han took your hand in his own and allowed Minho to follow behind them. They both needed a second to recover from his theatrics.

Brudick Co-parenting + Batfam Shenanigans Rec List

Thanks to @holybatmandickgrayson for requesting this, and thanks for your patience while I put it together!! (And paging @steine-druff as per usual!) Dick acting as the defacto second parent in the Wayne household is one of the best brudick tropes, and it has my whole entire heart. And the batfam dynamic itself has so much potential and is a joy to read, especially when the common goal of teasing Dick about Bruce is involved!

These are in no particular order, but I've tried to organise them into general categories. The titles to each fic contain a link to it. A lot of these are on the shorter end of the spectrum, but there's a few longer fics included too! I hope you find something here that you haven't read yet!

Co-parenting

Dick accepts a position as governess to eight war-orphans, adopted by millionaire and WW1 flying ace Captain Bruce Wayne. The rest is inevitable.

Starting this list off with a bang, this fic is glorious! It's a The Sound of Music AU and A/B/O, and that sounds like a wacky mixture but truly this is one of the best co-parenting brudick fics I've ever read. It features beautiful sibling dynamics, Dick learning to function in high society at the same time as he's teaching the children to do the same, and the best exploration of gender and social roles I've ever come across. And the way the children come to accept Dick as their governess then protect him from being fired by Captain Wayne is utterly glorious!

2. The Fall of An April's Fool by Mysterious_Aud_Lou; rated M; creator chose not to use archive warnings; 3,967 words; 1 chapter; complete

Summary:

All it took was one mission, one week, one bed, and one very tired mistake for Bruce Wayne to realize that he was in love with Dick Grayson.... and then came the fallout.

Bruce and Dick just came back from a mission in which they were fake engaged, and during that short mission, Bruce got a little too used to acting as a couple. Of course, the rest of the batkids pick up on this immediately, but luckily Dick is great at improv, and so this one has lived rent-free in my head ever since I first read it!

Damian Playing Matchmaker

Because I have a very surprising number of recs with this exact premise! These also sometimes double as co-parenting fics with the other batkids besides Damian too :)

Summary:

Dick Grayson is an extension of Bruce Wayne. If there’s no Bruce Wayne, there’s no Dick Grayson. They struggle to exist without each other.

The entire world wonders if they have ever been separate people.

This one is a little bit of both co-parenting and Damian being the one to force them together. It features Bruce denying his feelings for a million years, Dick helping to train each successive Robin, and so much mutual pining it hurts (affectionate). And of course, Damian calling a family meeting to announce that Bruce and Dick will need to be wed over the summer, much to the shock of every other person in the family

2. Better than the Sweetest Dream by shield_of_selene; rated T; no archive warnings apply; 15,089 words; 1 chapter; complete

Summary:

Damian accuses Bruce of failing his Valentine’s Day duties; namely, romancing Dick Grayson. This starts a chain reaction that leads to exploding heart bombs, forced imprisonment, and wedding bells.

I love a villain who can commit to the bit, and the Matchmaker, a Valentine's Day themed villain, does not disappoint! This fic also features Damian having a better grasp of Bruce's emotions than Bruce himself does, which is always a delight to see!

3. To Court a Grayson by Mysterious_Aud_Lou; rated T; creator chose not to use archive warnings; 3,285 words; 1 chapter; complete

Summary:

Damian Wayne has always gotten what he wants, and what he wants is his father to realize that Bruce will find no better romantic partner than Damian's beloved Grayson. So, armed with a briefcase and a carefully planned powerpoint presentation, Damian takes on the challenge of convincing his father that it's time to throw all other romantic entanglements aside, and begin to court Grayson properly.

Oh my goodness, where do I even begin with this one? The whole thing is just glorious, featuring Damian hacking into Bruce's work calender, Bruce actually sitting through the entirety of Damian's presentation, and one of the most delightful reveals I've ever read!

General Batfam

1. Old and New by junetangerine; rated E; no archive warnings apply; 5,241 words; 1 chapter; complete

Summary:

Objectively speaking, he knew the man wasn’t infallible or indestructible (heaven knew he’d picked enough fights over it, Bruce insisting on patrolling even when he could barely stand on his own), but the prospect that he might not bounce back into the brilliant steamroller of a man that Dick loved in more ways than was appropriate or healthy was terrifying.

Not as jarring as the Twilight Zone experience of having Bruce look openly delighted to see him.

“Dick!”

It was all Dick could do to remain frozen in place while Bruce crossed the distance between them and just kept going, right into Dick’s personal space and then closer, until his mouth was against Dick’s. It was short, just a firm press of lips, but enough to turn Dick’s world on its head.

A head injury leaves Bruce confused. He seems to believe he and Dick are a couple. Dick doesn't have it in him to say otherwise.

Exactly what it says on the tin. This fic is a delight, featuring Dick being incredibly conflicted and Bruce trying to deny his feelings the moment he gets his memory back! Also featuring the various batkids accepting this new dynamic with surprising ease

2. Be Kind, Rewind by kleine_aster; rated T; creator chose not to use archive warnings; 2,138 words; 1 chapter; complete

Summary:

Batman always thinks of everything, except for erasing his old tapes when he really, really should.

This fic is very funny! I greatly enjoyed the dynamics between the various batkids as they processed what they were watching, and Dick's frantic reaction to being caught with Bruce

Summary:

With Harley and Ivy causing chaos in Las Vegas, Dick and Bruce must go on an impromptu trip to stop the unruly couple. Only, they aren't quite sure what exactly they're supposed to be stopping...

Waking up married wasn't in the plan, regardless. Not with Damian on the verge of pulling a Rumplestiltskin. So, there's no doubt about it - the holiday season's about to get a whole lot crazier.

In which Damian threatens Dick's firstborn child should they return home late for Hanukkah. This fic is very cute and very enjoyable, and the batfam's reactions to their impromptu marriage are a delight!

Summary:

This is why the Bat Family kids should not have free time.

Anything with the batkids actually getting to relax and have fun is an amazing read, and this fic is no exception!! Oh to be a fly on the wall during their games of truth or dare!

Summary:

Because if you do, I had this probably kind of wacky idea for a levi x reader, merfolk au. like, levi is a merman and reader is a human and he is immediately interested in reader but doesn't know a thing about human customs so he just does it the merfolk way, for example courting rituals and that his kind are a lot more touchy with each other. She also is the first human he ever had a closer relationship with and he is fascinated by her human features.

Thought this might be sweet but if you've got too much on your mind/calendar right now I completely understand.

You meet Levi when he swims up to your home and says that he lives in a home under the water near your home. Levi had you on the mind and in his heart. You'd come to the island he lived around about two weeks ago. He introduced himself because you were his neighbour, but he was so taken by you he just wanted to have you as his and his alone. He wasn't sure how to romance a human, so he did what he knew which was to court you as if you were a mermaid.

Levi swam up to the surface and saw you sleeping in the shade on the decking of your home. He moved closer and leaned on the decking and gazed at your sleeping face. He reached over with his webbed hand, his skin glistening in the light as if he was a pearl. He rubbed your cheek and marvelled at how soft and warm you were.

You opened your eyes and blushed when you saw Levi's fin ear wiggle a little. You adored his pearl skin with little scales around the edges of his face, the delicate gills on his neck and his pink kissable lips. His raven hair was wet and swept back allowing you to see his handsome features. You moaned a little at his muscles.

He pulled back and smiled at you. "You're awake."

You rubbed your eyes as you sighed. "I am. Can I get you a tea or something?" You sat up and hummed. "Or maybe a set of clothes for your human form?"

"Both?" He gasped. "But first I have something for you." He took his side bag off and placed it on the decking. He moved a few things around and pulled out a crown he'd made with shells, pearls and a few gems. "Here."

You took it from him and admired it. "This is so beautiful." You placed it on your head and giggled. "I'm a princess!"

Levi blushed hard because you accepted and wore his gift, meaning you were interested in him. "Ah...umm...you accept my gift?"

"I do!"

He smiled a little. "You...like me?"

You stared at him. "Do you mean in romantic way or friendship?"

"Romantic."

You leaned closer and kissed his cheek. "Well, I like you a lot."

He gasped in delight. "So, you accepting this crown means you accept my courting!"

You clutched your chest as your heart raced. "Yes."

He smiled sweetly at you as his fin ears wiggled. "Perfect! I have more for you." He rummaged in his bag and pulled out a ring with a pearl on it. "I found the one closet to your beauty, but that was hard because you're more beautiful than a sunset within the ocean and the small green flash."

You felt pleasure shoot through you. "Levi..."

He took your hands in his. "I want you to be my forever, my special pearl, my green flash, my mate."

You squeezed his hands. "I want that too."

Levi backflipped into the water in delight. He grabbed you and pulled you into the water with him. "You are magical! I have so many things for you."

"I want to get you things."

He nuzzled his nose against yours. "You are so sweet and perfect."

You kissed Levi making him flinch. "Oh, sorry was that too much?"

He blushed hard. "N-No...I liked it...your lips are so...warm..." He yanked you against his body. "More."

You kissed Levi again and hummed in happiness. You pulled back and swam to the decking. "I'll get us some tea." You wrung out your wet shirt as Levi got out of the water behind you with his tail shining in the light. "Do you want something to eat?" You turned around. "Levi?"

He smiled as he stood naked before you in his human form. "I would like food made by you. I always like your food."

You blushed bright red before looking away. "Le-Levi."

He walked closer. "Something wrong?"

"You're naked. Where is the towel I normally leave out for you?" You grabbed it and handed it over to him. "I'll go get the drinks!"

Levi watched you run off as he wrapped the towel around him. He picked up his bag and hurried after you and into the home. He wanted to court you more and started laying out pretty stones around the living room. He smiled at the work he did and hoped you liked it all.

You walked out of the kitchen with a tray and spotted the stones. "Oh, look at that! They're so pretty."

"You like them?"

You nodded. "Of course! Are these part of the courting?"

"Yes." He waited for you to put the tray down before he held your hands. "I just adore you. This is our nest."

You hummed a laugh. "It's perfect. So, what must we do next for the courting?"

"Cuddle, kiss and hold each other. I also..." He shifted on his feet. "I must mark you."

You stared at his canines, they were sharp for him to eat fish as merpeople ate a lot of it and the four slightly sharp teeth at the top helped. "So, you bite me?"

"Yes."

You moved closer to him and purred. "I would love that."

Levi let out a delighted pur as his ears wiggled a little. "Mate."

Secret Agent: Smokescreen is an agent of some organization. Take your pick. A colony world trying to assess the state of the war, the remnants of the old Council of Cybertron trying to do the same thing. Heck, maybe even the lingering Primacy sent him to go and keep an optic on Optimus and grab the Matrix the moment he keels over.

Point is, he's there with an agenda and is WAY older than he looks. The fact that he looks young is why he was chosen for this mission, and he is in fact, very unhappy having to pretend to be young. Cue shenanigans as a middle aged mech struggles to relate to the youth and blend in long enough to complete his mission. Oh, and of course he accidently integrates into the Team family. Why wouldn't he?

Hidden in Plain Sight: There have been variations of this I've seen other people do. But here's my take. Smokescreen is Amalgamous Prime in disguise and either doesn't know or is fully aware. I personally think it would be funny if he did know and had to try really hard to not accidently mess up his appearance every two seconds. As for why he's there? Well SOMEONE had to go get the Allspark if Optimus failed. Yeah its not fully fleshed out but that's the idea. Cue shenanigans.

Stupidly Lucky: Smokescreen has a knack for being lucky. Ramp that up to a million and watch everything go nuts in wacky ways. He's just really REALLY good at ending up in places where he really shouldn't be. No he is not prepared to accidently end up on the Nemesis, but while he's there he might as well raid the energon storage on board.

Those are just my wacky thoughts :) No angst this time round.

I really like the first idea, though I probably won't use it because it feels too similar to my "Spy Dancer" and "Archivist" AUs. Kinda a combo of both.

I've heard and read a few different things with Smokescreen as Amalgamous, and have been wanting to do something with it for a long time. This definitely gives me an excuse to start making it.

The stupid luck idea seems really funny and I would definitely love to play around with it. I just don't know how.

I don't know if you're into soulmate AUs but I'm a big sucker for them, they make my brain go brrr sooo, can I request some general headcanons of the boys with a soulmate? Like, how they find their soulmate, how they feel about sharing such a strong connection with someone etc? Can be any soulmate trope you thing suits them best, I ain't picky. (Like, name on wrist, first words they say to each other etc.) :3

Anon this is such a big brain idea, I also go brrrrrrrr. Also I wanna say some of the boys will have different tropes than others, a few might be similar but it's gonna be a mixed bag. I'm also operating under the assumption that everyone in this AU knows and/or is fine with the whole soultmate thing as I imagine it would be kind of ingrained in the culture if that makes sense. So this has more or less ended up as how they find their soulmate/how they react to finding them. I hope that works. Otherwise, headcanons below the cut as always. Had a lotta fun with this one!

Kazuma Kiryu: Matching Scars

Honestly, Kiryu probably has a multitude of scars from...all the stuff he's been through. However, there's one he has on his wrist that he's had basically his whole life. He doesn't really give it much thought until you point it out and say "Hey, that looks just like mine!" before you both realize what it means and the two of you look at each other say at the same time "...OH!" while pointing at each other, like the Spider-Man meme.

Majima Goro: Holding Hands

This is especially wacky because Majima knows how the soulmate thing works but does NOT know that it has to be bare skin to bare skin contact. Basically, his stupid ass is running around the entire time with gloves on, thus getting in the way of him actually finding his soulmate. He'll probably complain about it casually to you one day, to which you look at him rather dumbfounded and say "You know it only works if you take those gloves off, right?" to which he says "Ehh?! Whatcha talkin' about?!". He'll then immediately take off his gloves and hold his hand up to yours to test it out only to realize immediately that you are in fact right. He will then become extremely excited, probably babbling nonsense half of the time and hugging you gleefully.

Saejima Taiga: Name On Wrist

Probably the most neutral about the soulmate thing out of all the boys, not because he doesn't believe in it but because he's never really had time for romance. He's more on the shy side so he won't go pestering everyone he meets that potentially matches the name. You'll probably mention it FIRST and casually mention his name by saying "Mine says 'Saejima Taiga'... never met anyone with a name like that though." to which he will just stare blankly at you, mouth open in shock. Eventually, he'll muster up the courage to respond with "Well, ya won't believe what my name is." while chuckling.

Akiyama Shun: Red String Of Fate

Total romantic sap and loves the whole soulmate thing. Spends a bit more time than he'd admit pining about who his soulmate might be. In his AU, soulmates are found by the red string of fate, a popular tale about being connected to your soulmate by an invisible red string. However, in this AU, your soulmate can actually see your red string if you get into close proximity with them. Akiyama isn't shy so the second he sees the string pop up and can see it's connected to you, he'll run up to you and introduce himself. Think very "Call Me Maybe" type of meet-cute.

Tanimura Masayoshi: Hot And Cold

Similar to the red string of fate, except that this time it is measured by tempurature. Tanimura can tell how far or close he is to you based on how hot or cold he feels, cold being far away and hot being nearby. It's a struggle for him since whenever he does feel warm, he can't always pursue the lead due to being busy with his job. Most likely, he'll accidentally bump into you in the street and suddenly feel incredibly warm and cozy, to which he'll quickly turn around to speak to you, saying something like "Did you feel that just now?".

Ryuji Goda: Revealed In Dreams

Honestly doesn't give a hoot about the soulmate thing. To him, romance will happen whenever it happens. A lot of other people his age when hew as younger started having dreams that revealed hints about their soulmate but Ryuji is a late bloomer, so the whole soulmate thing got pushed further and further into the back of his mind. He'll wake up in a cold sweat one night after finally having the dream, the details of your face burned into his mind. Unlike some of the other boys, he likely already knows you, probably as a childhood friend, and he'll definitely have a moment of "The whole time... they was right in fronta me?!".

Nishikiyama Akira: Matching Birthmarks

Similar to Kiryu's concept, except this appears more like a mole than a scar. They are rather small so it's not something you'd notice as obviously as the scar concept for Kiryu. They also have to line up completely perfectly so Nishiki is prone to meeting people that he thinks might be his soulmate and get excited only to realize they're not. When he does meet his soulmate, his mark will disappear and he'll get rather frantic wondering who out of all the people he met recently was in fact the one that caused this. At some point, he'll mention it by saying "The weirdest thing happened the other night, my mark just disappeared on its own." and you'll respond with "Hey, mine too, that's weird." before the truth finally hits you both. Truthfully, he and Kiryu are both a little dense like that sometimes. Nishiki will be so happy to know you, he might cry a little out of happiness.

Daigo Dojima: First Words

Unlike the other concepts, in this AU people won't know ahead of time what will confirm who their soulmate is. It's something that happens in the moment, a sudden realization. That honestly makes Daigo kind of nervous, since his life has to be carefully calculated given his line of work. The words itself don't have to have particular meaning either, which only makes it more complicated. The second you speak to him for the first time, he feels chills down his spine. He'll ask you to repeat yourself, eyes wide with nervousness, the both of you completely shocked that by some chance, some divine intervention, the two of you ended up in the same room.

Mine Yoshitaka: Dreams Of A Past Life

Believes in making his own destiny which only makes meeting his soulmate feel more impactful, somehow. Mine is so used to going against the tide that meeting you just kind of brings him to his knees. He'll see flashes of the two of you in your past life in his dreams but he won't go out of his way to really dedicate much of it to memory. The first time he meets you, he'll think you look familiar but can't really pinpoint why and he'll dismiss it. The more the feeling nags at him, the more he starts to think maybe there's something more to this. It's only when he asks if you recognize him too that it finally clicks and he understands this is where he's meant to be.

Alas I can't think of anything for the Good Omens one at the moment besides pirate batman and danny hanging out so I'll overcompensate for the first request.

You Get Stabbed, They Keep The Knife.

First up we got this one. I highly recommend y'all check the notes of this prompt because people have been trying to figure out universe logic for this one and it's fascinating to look at. Initially, the prompt was just me having a little idea of "Oh, wouldn't it be wacky if Danny was concerned that weapons of every shape and form sprung up from his feet like a very shitty murder fairy."

I didn't even think to consider what it would be like on his soulmates end. I'd say there are stipulations to what the universe decided to be a weapon. Having someone get teleported over to your soulmate because you punched them doesn't seem like a very balanced idea.

My thoughts is that it's akin to a, for lack of a better term, ghostly version of the weapon? It's not the actual item but more like an echo of what it looks like. It may just never fade and can be used as a fully functional version of the item for the rest of your soulmates existence. (Obvs you can't soulmate transfer a 'ghostly' weapon. It's a one way street or else it'd be like an infinite item dup glitch.)

Ok I'm confusing even myself so here's an example: soulmates can send letters to each other by purposefully getting papercuts. The sender still has the original note but now the receiver has a glowing apparition of the note, writing and all.

Unsure if Soul weapons would be able to use real ammunition or if it would also have to be Soul ammunition as well cause that's an entire other can of worms that I do not want to open.

These Fenton weapons are slightly different. Let's say that ectoplasm is magic in a sense. it's extradimensional and can be used as an energy source. The soul weapons are made of Not Of This Realm stuff as well. The two extradimensional objects cancel each other out. They'll still get the shell of the thing that injured Danny but it won't have a trace of ectoplasm inside. Similar logic is also why ecto blasts don't transfer over. (Using this as a simplification. Handwavey logic is the way to go for a very unrealistic soulmate au concept like this one.)

what if 2024 is the year cosmic marvel star wars au lives again except this time i combine it with my au where cassian and jyn met years before the events of rogue one instead (except i'm further changing things in this version) and it's the most niche combination of blorbo nonsense i can concoct

dramatis personae and other bullshit under the cut

(a lot of this is taken from notes i made in 2019, but i'm tweaking this a little bit)

rich rider – a jedi, the only known survivor of order 66/the jedi purge (at least, as far as he can tell). he wasn’t sure about a lot of the politics during the clone wars, and the jedi essentially being turned into soldiers therein, but he tries to keep the values of the order alive as he moves from planet to planet, helping others.

gamora – think the kind of mara jade/emperor’s hand role from the old eu. taken from her home at a young age and raised/trained in secret as palpatine’s assassin. if any of his apprentices are out of line, it is her job to eliminate them, as well as complete any personal assignments that the (now) emperor requests. she hates him, and has been trying to find a way out.

peter quill – a beloved separatist hero during the clone wars, until something happened that he won’t talk about. now, he looks to avoid any affiliation, not joining the fledgling rebel alliance popping up in some corners of the galaxy, but not with the empire, either. gets most of his income working as a smuggler, running spice and other contraband, and seeks to undermine the empire in whatever little steps he can manage.

going with the original rogue one supplementary material backstory of cassian being from fest/a separatist world as a child because that works better for my narrative beats here tbh. also he's been with the fledgling rebellion for.... ever.

my idea for jyn is that her identity was, in fact, sold out to the empire by reece tallent (see: i'm taking a plot point from rebel rising and then i'm twisting it and then ignoring most of the rest of the book). so she has palpatine's assassin after her... and the rebel alliance trying to find her before the assassin does.

so yeah jyn's the inciting incident for the whole thing and our various and sundry parties collide and go on wacky misadventures. mostly i want to watch rich and cassian have a knock down drag out argument over WHO'S GOING TO SACRIFICE THEMSELVES FOR THE OTHERS and everyone else stares at them like they're fucking stupid, which they are

also jyn and peter are preexisting friends in this universe. considering my endgame ships as riderquill and rebelcaptain + gamora ot3. sorry 2 break up starnovamora but this ot3 i literally just invented two seconds ago has so many narrative possibilities i want to explode.

Not a wacky au (I dont think that I could live up to that level of batshit crazy) but an au request never the less.

Paramedic Illya who responds to a multi car pile up. Solo is trapped in his car, it’s a difficult extraction that takes hours, all the while Solo’s condition is deteriorating. But the time they get him out he’s in criticle condition and it’s touch and go. Maybe Gaby was in the car but it was easy to get her out.

For the following days/weeks Illya can’t seem to let solo go - he’s never has this issue letting go off a patient after the hand over - so he goes to visit Solo after he gets moved out of the ICU

Oooh this one is ripe for lots of drama! Honestly perfect for whumptober. I love the idea that Illya has seen this kind of thing time and time again, but there's something about Napoleon that sticks with him. I can see a situation where Napoleon is conscious at first and Illya has to try to keep him talking and awake while they work to get him out. Maybe Illya is not usually the "talking" one, because he's not a very chatty person, but for some reason he's the one who has to this time. He discovers Napoleon is surprisingly easy to talk to, but also he starts feeling more and more distressed as Napoleon starts fading. Imagine if Illya can see at least part of him—enough to see those piercing blue eyes that linger on in his head for ages afterward.

Maybe in the aftermath he doesn't even know Napoleon's full name, and he tries to track it down through the hospital but is rebuffed because of HIPAA. He should give up, but he just needs to know if Napoleon is ok. That's all (that's not all). One day after dropping off a call he runs into Gaby, who's there to visit Napoleon, and he's all awkward about trying to find out about Napoleon without trying to seem weird. She takes him to visit, which surprises Napoleon. They talk a bit and that SHOULD be the end of it, but it's not. Illya keeps coming back, bringing Napoleon better food than the hospital meals and getting shoo'd out by the nurses because he's there too long.

Obviously they fall in love, and what starts harrowing and whumpy ends impossibly soft (guess I'm in a fluffy mood, lol).

Hear me out. An AU where Nathalie steals all the Miraculous from Gabriel and runs away with Adrien. All she needs is a baseball bat and for him to face his monologue window

(What if Nathalie had enough?) (Passion spoilers)

-After seeing Gabriel’s arm she realized the truth. All of them were on borrowed time.

-What would happen to Adrien? He would lose both his parents to this abuse of miraculous.

-She rewatched the clips that Gabriel had asked her to destroy. She rewatched them repeatedly.

-“That man died the moment he became Hawkmoth… I’m sorry I let it happen Emilie.”

-A thought occurs in her mind, what if he dragged Adrien into this too? No, she couldn’t let that happen.

-Nathalie knew that even if she was at her prime, Gabriel still had all of the miraculous. In order to stop him for good. She would need a plan. As much as she would love to just grab a baseball bat to his head as he monologues.

-It took a bit of thought, but Nathalie thought of a plan. One that would stop Gabriel.

-But before she could do that. She needed to ensure Adrien was safe.

-“What?”

-“just for a few days, I packed your bags. It’s been sometime since you’ve visited your aunt.”

-Adrien wanted to contest, he wanted to ask Marinette on a date not deal with his traitor cousin… but then again. Felix may have returned home. And getting some information from him would be a good idea.

-“Alright Nathalie. I suppose a vacation would be nice.”

-Nathalie told him that she had a request for him to handle while in london. But to read the sealed envelope only when he was exactly halfway to london. (Handing him a letter)

-it was a weird ask but Adrien agreed.

-After Nathalie left, he gave a message to ladybug that he will be out of Paris for a few days, but if an emergency hits to call him immediately. He will be right there.

-Nathalie got Gabriel to agree by suggesting it was Adrien’s idea, and it would allow him to get a few akuma attacks in without worrying about Adrien.

-And so he let the school know.

-At school, Nino informed the group.

-Marinette was worried after hearing because of her issues with Felix. But maybe she could ask him if his cousin was there, that would be a way for her to check as ladybug. But in truth she was bummed that Chat noir was out of town for a few days. She wondered if a movie counted as an emergency?

-Nathalie than requested Gabriel akumatize her, much like he did in Canon, but with Adrien out of the house, She didn’t have to worry about what happens next.

-Nathalie transforms into Safari. She creates her Gear. she is ready for her plan to get the miraculous. But this time with the power of the monkey miraculous. Just in case she had to disable the powers she said.

-But monarch wasn’t expecting Safari to show up in the lair akumatized

-“Nathalie, shouldn’t you be… “

-She used the whip.

-He barely dodged. But he forgot about the Tiger’s power. And the impact blasted him out the window. He was dazed but noticed more debris coming.

-They we’re in the middle of the street, when he dodged a piece of billboard only to get hit with a banana… He realized it. Uproar. His powers were wacky.

-Gabriel realized he couldn’t call back his akuma now! And he was far away from the other kwami’s he couldn’t unify and use their powers, but he gifted the powers to Nathalie. He was at a severe disadvantage now.

-Ladybug heard the commotion and rushed to the scene. Was an akuma really fighting Monarch?

-Adrien thought about how he would confront his cousin, with everything he pulled a few weeks ago. But he remembered he was halfway to london. He could read the request. What he realized was that it was more than a request… it was a revelation.

-It was everything. Nathalie had written everything. She told him about Gabriel being monarch, why he did it, how it happened, the reasons, and her own mistakes. She wrote it like a last will and testament. This was her last plan.

-Adrien couldn’t believe it was real. But he understood why she told him to wait to read it… so he was out of range. So he could be safe.

-Plagg watched as Adrien reread the letter frantically.

-“Adrien?”

-“So that’s the reason she sent me to my cousin’s…” Adrien felt a tear drip down his cheek.

-Adrien rushed to the bathroom, he needed to get back to Paris. He needed to stop all of this once and for all.
