To Take Care of You
Tumblr media
Pairing: Jack Russell x fem!reader (mentions of Ted)
Words: 753
Summary: How you and Jack spend the morning after a transformation. Lots of fluff.
A/N (10/23): Made an edit with the readers relationship to Jack. They’re now married, it made more sense as I’m writing part two.
———
With a sigh you leaned against the closed door of your vehicle as your gaze shifted to the full moon that begun to disappear in the distance and the long night gave way to a new day. You knew that no matter how long your night shift seemed to feel it was not nearly as long as Jack’s night was. You hated the very thought of what he had to undergo during each full moon. Some one has kind hearted and good as he was didn’t deserve such a thing.
As soon as you had slung your bag down in its customary spot by the door, you begun your own full moon ritual. You gathered up some fresh clean clothes for Jack before starting up a fire and firing up the coffee maker. It wasn’t long after that you spotted a unclothed Jack and you could instantly tell by his dropping posture that it takes a lot out of him to transform. You gathered a throw blanket from the sofa before you rushed out the back door to meet him.
“Gracias, what would I do without you?” He mumbled in appreciation as you draped the blanket over his bare shoulders. He sighed and leaned into you as you placed a tender kiss to his temple as you wrapped your arm around him.
“Driving Ted crazy,” you playfully bantered back as Jack just shook his head in mock disapproval “I’m joking, I love you. You know that.”
“Mmmm…yo tambien te amo querida,” he tiredly mumbles back returning the kiss.
Once he was settled on the sofa by the fire you had him a steaming hot cup as you settle in beside him. He shifts his cup to the other hand as he gets the blanket resituated around his waist so he can hold you close.
“Want some breakfast?” You ask as you mumble into his shoulder as your own fatigued threatens to overtake you.
“Later. You need to rest first. Yes? You’ve been working,” Jack was always the sweetheart and always made sure you were taken care of. “We can have sushi with Ted. Yes?”
“Hmmm…sure,” you mumble as you drift off. Luckily Jack’s reflexes were vastly quicker than your own as he placed his own cup down to quickly grab yours before it spilt everywhere.
When you woke Jack wasn’t with you but you didn’t have to wonder where he had gone for long as a warm kiss was placed to your neck as he inhaled your scent and another to your lips as you rolled onto your back.
“So handsome,” you mumble into his kiss as you opened your eyes not wanting to part just yet as you breathed in the scent of his aftershave and body wash.
“You’re just with me for my looks.” He deadpanned in response to your compliment.
There was no denying how handsome Jack was but that was not the sole reason you were with him. He has the biggest heart of anyone you has ever known and it often gotten him into trouble, especially when it came to helping Ted, “and your heart,” you suddenly notice the heavenly scent of food that wafted into the living room “what is that? It smells delicious.”
“Breakfast…molletes and scrambled eggs,” he explained before retreating back to the kitchen not wanting to burn the eggs. You adored Jack’s cooking as it didn’t get more authentic than home cooking.
“I’m supposed to cook you breakfast,” you banter as you find a seat at the kitchen table.
“You worked all night,” he responded placing a fresh cuppa in front of you as he placed his lips at your hairline and you could hear the sound of his inhale “you smell so good…like home.”
You smiled contently into your cup as you closed your eyes enjoying the taste of the brew and the tender sensation of his lips on your skin. Suddenly a burning smell reached both of you causing Jack to retreat with a curse. You simply took in the sight of your husband finishing breakfast as you continue to sip on your coffee.
Your eyes widened when you were presented with a plate full of molletes and the most delicious scrambled eggs you have ever seen “I don’t need that much!”
“You’re going to need your strength,” he gave you a knowing grin before fetching his own plate. You knew how he usually was the morning after a transformation and the thought caused heat to spread.

This Thing is not perfect, but I think it's done.
I may be overcorrecting in my desire to avoid too much angst and trauma, because once again nothing at all happens. Jack sounds as though he's in the middle of some Actual Plot, but the Actual Plot will not be featuring in this fic beyond vague tangential references.
There will be plot in the next one, I promise.

"Those Who Wander" Chapter 6: Scar Tissue
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jack gushes about how great his date with Marc was to his best friend Robin, and then plot!
An excerpt:
The front door’s electronic chime sounded after a young couple kitted up for a multi-day hike left with their backcountry permit. Robin turned to Jack from their usual spot behind the counter. “He just up and left?”
“Yeah,” Jack grinned. “But it’s okay. He—”
Robin raised an eyebrow and fixed a displeased look on him. “How is that okay? He stuck you with the bill to, what, play vigilante?”
Jack frowned. He hadn’t thought of it like that. “It’s okay because he was helping Jasmine and whoever else that pendejo is hurting! I wanted to go with him and help, but he said no.”
“And you listened?” Robin blinked at him, astonished. “Boy do you have it bad for this guy.”
Jack grinned. “I do.”
Robin shook her head. “Help me understand what’s great about Marc the nervous wreck who stuck you with the bill for dinner.”

“Jack?  You in here honey?”
At first, your heard nothing in your tiny home, the lights were dimmed in the living room and the fire in the fireplace barely had any live flames in it.  You saw the duffle bag that he would use for his Lycanthropy tossed on the loveseat couch in front of you, already opened with some things ruffled about inside.  It was giving you a small red flag in your mind, maybe thinking that his last session out in the woods did not go well.
He texted you earlier that day that he was on his way back, not giving you a clear sign that things went great or horrible.  Usually in his tests, he would give you one or two sentences, but this one was only a handful of short words.  So you knew then that something was wrong.  But of course, he said nothing else in his text, making you worry over him the rest of the day while you were at work.
Now that you were home, you were going to check in on him.
“Jack?” You called again, placing your purse on the kitchen counter and looking around for any signs of harm or danger.  But there was none, and now you were more confused.
“Amor?” You heard a tentative voice in the direction of the bedroom down the hallway.  It wasn’t an urgent tone, nor was it casual and laid back.  It seemed more drained, almost uneven as you walked down the hallway instantly to the source of the voice.  Pushing the bedroom door open, you froze at the sight and you grinned from ear to ear.
Jack, in a small little ball, under the blankets on your massive bed.
“Oh, Jack,” You hummed, closing the door behind you and toeing off your shoes as Jack’s head was poking up from being under the blankets. His hair was disheveled and his face already looked drained.  You could truly tell that he was out of it, even with his eyes looking a bit glazed over and his breath sounding off, “What happened?”
“It was exhausting,” he sighed as you sat on the side of the bed, reaching out to run your fingers in his hair to bring him some sense of comfort, Although you could tell he had no energy left in him, he was still looking rather adorable under the covers and looking at you with his puppy dog eyes.  Jack always looked innocent enough and nonthreatening, his eyes and the smile alone made him seem like such a model citizen.  And he was when he wasn’t transforming into a werewolf or hunting monsters around the world.  To you, he had such an old soul trapped in his own body that made him youthful and kind to others.  Jack can make the most mundane action look so innocent.
Like now, being under the covers.
“I have more energy left in me after taking down that monster,” He admitted as you were still caressing his hair, “The client was glad though that I did the job, and we have enough money for the vacation we both wanted,”
“We could have gone on the vacation without that money, Jack.” You reminded him soothingly, “So now that you’re done with that job, you get to have some sleep, okay?  Did you shower yet?”
“Was too tired to shower,” Jack grumbled as you chuckled.
“I’ll get a shower going and make you some tea.  You find some comfy pajamas and get ready for the shower, use that lavender salts that I got you, got it?” You asked him, seeing him smile and nod his head while you pushed yourself up from the bed.  Shrugging off your jacket to hang, you walked into the bathroom and got the water running.  After that, you made it to the kitchen to get the kettle going and fish out the right tea bag for Jack.
There were times when he could come home with a pep in his step, the job going very well and plenty of softies to tell you.  Other times they went south, Jack sporting a new cut or bruise here and there and really not wishing to talk about it.  You were willing to give him space when he needed space, and you held out your arms when you knew he needed a hug.  All you could do was trust that Jack would not push himself over the edge.
Once the water was boiling and the tea bag was already taken effect in the mug, you made your way back to the bedroom to see Jack coming out of the shower in fresh pajamas, looking 10 times better.  He saw you with the mug in hand, breaking out into a grin as you handed it to him.
“Drink, it’s your favorite,” You urged him as you both walked back to the bed.  Both you and Jack sat side by side against the headboard, you draped the blankets over the pair of you as he was taking small sips from the still-hot tea.  You could breathe in the lavender salt on his skin, feeling a bit better that he was now taking care of himself.
“Tell me about your day?” Jack asked you as you rested your head on his shoulder.  You giggled as he smiled, “What, I wish to know what was going on at work?”
“Compared to what you went through this past weekend?  It’s a bit mundane, don’t you think?” You asked him back as he rolled his eyes.
“I like hearing about your work, helps me take a break from what I go through with monsters,” He admitted as he reached down to lace your arms together, his fingers tracing shapes along your skin.  You loved that about Jack, how he would wish to hear all about your office desk job and the office drama that happened.  When you would ask about his monster hunting job, he wouldn’t want to give too many details because of how graphic it would be.  So for him to want to hear about your boss, and co-workers, it both surprised you and made your day at the same time.
“Well Sara, the co-worker I told you about, she’s actually seeing some new guy…” You were explaining some of the new gossip with Jack while he was sipping his tea, listening to every word you were saying, and staying attentive.  You could sense he was getting sleepy as you were telling your story, but you knew he wasn’t going to have you stop then and there.  So you went on, noticing how he was finishing his tea and placing the mug on the nightstand before his eyes were starting to droop.
Finally, after another good 15 minutes of chatting together and talking about the upcoming weekend, You and Jack finally went to sleep.  There was no more exhaustion on his face, just the simple need of slumber on his cheeks and being his eyelids as he wrapped you in his arms and you both were out cold within a minute of the lights being turned off.

FULL MOON PART 2
When tomorrow arrives, you get up early slipping on your hoodie and sweats since it was pretty cold outside. Grabbing your keys you head out, getting into your car while Gyutaro watches you from the window as you back out of the driveway and leave to go pick up the shackles and other things to lock him up with to keep him from hurting other people. You couldn't brush off the sick feeling in your stomach at the thought of what you have to do tonight all while hoping these things will be strong enough to hold him in the basement for these three nights. This situation was scary to be in since you don't have a clue how strong he really is when he turns, you only knew about how fast he was and the way he can tear into flesh like its paper but can he break through chains?. That was the real question that kept pumping into your head, setting off an adrenaline rush through your whole body, and it really didn't help that you knew nothing about werewolves, you just had to go off what you had seen in the woods that night, how aggressive and fast they can be, and from what Gyutaro said with having no control over himself when he turns just made it all so much more terrifying. Gyutaro was still looking out the window as you pulled up, watching you closely as you got out and grabbed everything out of the backseat while faintly grumbling to himself. As you walk in Gyutaro crosses his arms and looks away from the window as you shut the door and set the stuff down on the counter, picking up on your worry and sadness before letting out a slight sigh. A gloomy expression painted your face as he looks at you knowing you really didn't want to do this to him but it had to be done. Taking in a deep breath you grab the stuff and head towards the basement, hooking up everything and yanking on the chains just to make sure they were secure in the wall, while Gyutaro watches sitting on the stairs, letting out a slight growl of disapproval, not ready to be down here later in the day. Once everything seemed secure enough you grab the left over stuff and start walking towards the stairs passing Gyutaro on the way up before stopping.
"I'm sorry gyu" You muttered before leaving the basement. The sun starts to set in the sky and you were stuck doing your best to drag Gyutaro down into the basement as he whined, growled, fighting against you giving you one hell of a time getting him down there. "Gyutaro.. ngh!.. please can you... just... cooperate with me... ngh!... i know it sucks.. but please" You groaned pulling on him with all your strength you had. It took a good while to finally get him down stairs due to his fighting back and his strength outmatching yours. He didn't hit you or anything cause he does care about you, he just pulled back nearly pulling you to the ground non stop but you eventually got him down there, of course his fighting back didn't stop of course, grabbing your small hands tightly in his to make you let go of him only for you to wrap your arm around his neck and grabbing his shirt again with your other hand. It was a major workout but once you managed to get him down by making you both fall in the struggle in the basement, resulting in him landing on top of you which hurt a bit since he is bigger and weighs more then you do. You took it as an opportunity, wrapping your legs around his waist and keeping your arm firmly around his neck with a tight grip as he continued to struggle to get out of your hold on him. Grabbing the restraints as fast as you could, you manage to get the shackle around his neck, locking it around his neck as he growled non stop. Falling back while letting go of him, you gasped feeling a bit exhausted from all of that but Gyutaro didn't calm down much as he pulled on the chains trying to free himself.
"gyutaro... you said you would do this... stop struggling before you hurt yourself" You gasped out. You were tired and it was evident in your tone. Gyutaro stopped and looked at you letting out a sigh knowing he did tell you he would do this even if he did hate it entirely. "I know what I said Y/N but i still hate this shit" He growled before sitting down by you. "I know but it has to be done and you know that" You responded as the sun lowers further in the sky, getting up to leave only to look back at him. "you're not in the woods anymore and if i don't do this.... you might kill me and others" Your words had sunk in deep, hitting him hard with the thoughts rolling into his mind, these thoughts of killing you making him feel a good amount of self hatred as he watched you leave the basement. He had no intentions of hurting or even killing the one person he loved so deeply and he couldn't deny the fact that you were right, he could end up killing you and he wouldn't be able to forgive himself for it. He sat there thinking, letting your words replay over and over in his head, feeling bad that he had put you through a struggle all cause he didn't want this but your safety is what matters to him and you being away from him was the best option. The moon rises in the sky and you could hear Gyutaro starting to howl from the basement, being quite loud but you couldn't but think he probably was getting ready for his transformation and with that in mind you grab your book, shut off the lights and head towards your room to get ready for bed. Slipping into your nightgown you climb into bed turning off the lamp and pulling the blanket over yourself as Gyutaro continues to howl before letting out a yelp that turned into yelling as his transformation took hold. His teeth grew out into sharp canines, fur growing in from his flesh, his limbs elongating, as the struggle for control strings up his heart in a thread of solid rage, letting out a loud growl before going crazy, yanking at the chains.
The more he yanked against them one of the chains starts to come loose on the shackle before snapping, allowing him to be free from the restraints. You were startled in bed after hearing a loud crash coming from the basement, quickly sitting up in bed with your heart pounding rapidly in your chest. "Gyutaro?" you muttered with a shaky tone in your voice while watching the door, slowly getting up out of bed walking towards it cautiously, getting ready to open it to see what's going on only to be met with him bursting through it, pinning you down on the floor, screaming as he's snapping his teeth at you. Out of instinct you do your best to fight back against him, putting your arms up only for him to growl and latch onto your arm, biting down, teeth sinking into your flesh, screaming out in pain as tears flood your vision, blood dripping down from his painful bite. His growling soon turned to a whimpering whine, his eyes staring down at you with harsh regret like he knew what he had just done. Releasing your arm, he backs away from you while anger boils his blood, poisoning his mind with such regret and self hatred that drove him crazy, backing into a wall only to slam himself against it, busting a hole through it only to do it again, hurting his shoulder in the process as you laid there watching with wet eyes as he continued to hurt himself, losing his temper completely for hurting you. "GYUTARO STOP!" You cried out while getting up and going to him, to help sooth his emotions, to calm him, but before you could he slams himself one last time only for his head to make contact causing him whimper and drop to the ground, whining as his breathing remained heavy as you get down to him, placing your hand on his shoulder. Though your arm still hurt badly you just couldn't care enough about it right now, you were more worried about him than yourself.
Running your hand over his arm, petting him gently as he stared off, drowning in his fight for control and the fact he had just hurt you, the way he really just hurt you out of the rage that had swallowed him whole. Slow moving his eyes to look at you, seeing your face. Oh how beautiful you were to him, how much you cared for him too, and he just, caused you harm, caused you pain, took from you, he didn't deserve you, he didn't deserve anything you had done for him either, he doesn't deserve the affection your giving him, he needs to leave you so your safe from him, so he can't do more damage than he's already done. With those thoughts flooding his mind he snaps, pushing you away from him before rushing off, making his escape through the window, running off into the night.
"NO GYUTARO!!!" You jumps up running to the window, looking out only to see he was already long gone. With tears soaking your face you turn around, rushing out of the room not bothering to get dressed, just grabbing your keys and a flashlight before running out to the car and hopping inside, starting up the engine and pulling out of the driveway quickly. Putting your foot down on the gas, speeding down the road knowing exactly where he's going and you're going to find him one way or another no matter how long it takes you, your not giving up on him. Pulling up to the old camp site where you lost your friends, you shut off the car, jumping out and running into the woods following the markers you left a week ago to find that cave in hopes he will be there and you can bring him back. Coming up to the cave you couldn't help but pray he was there as you ran as fast as you could using the flashlight for light to see, running as fast as you could through the trees. "please be there god damn it" You muttered to yourself as you got closer to the entrance, out of breath, you start slowing down a bit as your lungs burned. You get to the entrance only to find nothing inside except for the cold damp walls, your heart shattering like it was glass. You look out through the entrance using what breath you could breath in to scream out for him. "GYUTARO!!!!" You screamed out as loud as you possibly could, your voice echoing through the cave and the trees, gasping heavily in pain, and cold.
Falling onto your knees, lowering your head as you cried, begging to whatever god was listening to your faint prayers that were spoken inside your head to bring him back to you, knowing he needed you more than anything. Moving over, you lean against the cold wet wall feeling tired, overwhelmed, and hurt. You rip off a piece of of your nightgown and start wrapping it around your wounded arm, before closing your eyes to drift off to sleep in the freezing cold. After a few you had heard something by the entrance that sounded like rocks falling with the sound of footsteps approaching. Your eyes slowly start to open a tiny bit when you felt a wet nose push against against your hand a bit before laying it's head in your lap and letting out a slight whine, making your eyes shoot open to see Gyutaro laying his head on you. He was still a bit hurt from earlier from slamming himself against the wall as hard as he could out of rage for hurting you. Tears started forming again as you start to pet him "please come back... please... come back gyu" You whimpered, begging him as your lip quivered, getting choked up as you spoke to him only to get no response, he just kept his head and his claws on your lap taking in deep breaths before closing his eyes. You were the only person who could tame him, be this close to him, make him feel calm and not want to lash out. Your calming presence was enough to flood out his aggression, washing it away like a tidal wave, helping him find some control within himself that he wanted and craved so badly. Though it was still dangerous for you and he knew that which is why he always ran, wanted you to stay away from him, yet he finds you here, waiting for him, wanting him to come back. He couldn't understand why you came for him, especially after the pain he's caused you, taking your friends, attacking you, why would you come back?. It was a lot for you too since your not like him, you're not someone who turns into this raging beast every full moon, losing all control over yourself, slaughtering everything that crosses your path. Little did you know, you were everything he craved, everything he wants. To feel calm, to have peace instead of rage, to have that self control you had. That's all he wants and you had it, you were his peace that could sooth that fury and madness he struggled against, you were his calmness he craved to feel for so long and now he has it, he has you to give him that.

Ok I’ve got several questions abt wwbn that will never be answered:
Why did Elsa want the stone? She said she wanted to do smth different w it than her family but she never said what
How did Jack and Ted meet?? They’re bffs but I want to know their origin story lol
Did Jack have to learn his language or is there some kind of monster Allspeak or smth?
How frequently do they hang out?
Ted seems to be strong enough to handle Jack when he's in werewolf form. Does he subdue him w smth similar to Natasha's lullaby in Age of Ultron? Does he use sheer strength and force to keep him away from people? Does Jack recognize him and they just keep hanging out like normal?
How did Ted learn English?
At the end, they were hanging out at that little camp. It had a fire, a gramophone, coffee, and a little log structure w a blanket in the bottom.
Does Jack have that as the place Ted is supposed to bring him if he gets out on full moons?
Did Ted make it right then and there for his friend?
Did they steal it from some campers?
Does Jack have a job? That suit and tie he was wearing looked expensive
At the beginning, Elsa said implied that she had been doing her own training for 20 years. Did she teach herself or did she find a new teacher?
Jack said this was a curse his whole family had (or at least had been passed down in his family).
How did they get it?
Have they come up with any other coping mechanisms besides stay inside? Is there a support system in place?
HOW DOES TED KEEP GETTING INTO THESE THINGS?? He's super strong and can vaporize humans so how on earth does he keep getting into situations where Jack has to save him??? (My guess is he's just a sucker for those very obvious food traps lol)
Where was it set?? I don't think they ever say. Elsa is British tho so maybe England?
At the beginning when him and that Scottish hunter are looking at the severed monster heads, he says he fought a bunch of them. Is this true and he was just in his werewolf form or was he lying?
He also apparently told that old lady who was in charge that he had over 100 kills. How did he come up with that number? Was he trying to lowball it and completely overestimated how successful monster hunters actually are?
Had he ever fought a monster hunter before that night? Can he even fight in human form at all?? He just ran away from fighting that Scottish guy
Elsa's family is stinking rich. How did they get all that money?

Okayyy so i just had a idea and since you are amazinggggg with tvdu fan fiction, thought I might a request😅
Basically, yn is a wolf but for some reason or another, her puppy sized wolf is out of control and so whenever she gets emotional, she slowly starts transforming, like first she will get the ears and like the shift is slow but not painful anymore since it has been happening a lot and she just gets a headache.
Elena's gang except for Tyler and bonnie dislike her and Caroline doesn't have much of an opinion. She is usually a happy person since she is homeschooled so doesn't have to deal with any bullies or anything.
Klaus finds her with teary eyes and her wolf puppy ears out as she tries to stop herself from full on crying.
Klaus takes her in and cares for her and helps her control her wolf side so that her emotions don't control them. At this point, she loves her wolf form so much that Klaus has to scold her and treat her kinda like am actual naughty puppy and he even has a hard time keeping her in human form because she has learned that she can run off in her wolf form and not have to study

Tamed and trained
Y/n’s parents had always been worried about her. She wasn’t exactly normal, being a werewolf anyways was hard enough let alone a completely out of control one. They assumed there must have been some sort of mutation in the gene system or something similar which caused her to turn at any time, like how only few vampires were rippers and few witches were siphoners.
They had been to the Bennett’s who told them that this had only happened a very rare few times since the first werewolf was created and that she would learn control as she grew.
Of course their first fear was she would be picked on, misunderstood and seen as a monster, so they kept her inside. And then they worried that her werewolf anger would be 10x worse as instead of having emotions heightened on a full moon, hers are 24/7. But it turned out she showed nearly every emotion but anger. But the tears were the worst. As soon as they started falling they knew they needed to hide her asap. The ears would sprout from her head, then the tail and claws, the nose and paws, until she were howling her sorrows for the world to hear.
And gosh did she cry when she was little, always in a puddle of pity and fear of her own shadow.
He parents had pretty much given up with trying to control her. Just locking her in the house and telling her to be quiet while they went out and tried to live like normal people, pretend they didn’t have a daughter that the council would kill to obtain.
When Bonnie grew up they tried to convince her to spell Y/n but Bonnie refused when she saw the fluffy ears a big sad eyes looking back at her.
They tried to have Tyler help her when he broke his curse but he wasn’t sure what to do either other than bond over the experience of being in wolf form.
So she continued to hide inside, only getting out when her parents had gone away, most likely to get drunk and forget their worries.
She knew she was an inconvenience for them but the harder she tried to control herself, the worse it made her feel and then she ended up turning again. She didn’t know how to fix the cycle she was trapped within.
But on that day, her parents had gotten a little too angry at her. Called her a freak and a mistake causing her to run as far as she could on her human legs, praying to god that she wouldn’t turn halfway through a step.
She huddled up to the big willow tree besides the Mystic Park and kept their until dark. Her sniffles were the only sound heard as she wiped her eyes and cheeks.
Her knees dragged to her chest and she rest her chin on top of them as she kept her cries to a minimum, hiccuping as she tried to fully stop.
It was the sound that drew Klaus Mikaelson toward the park that night. His eyes squinted as he spotted a girl in the distance, two large and fluffed ears on her head which twitched very few seconds. His curiosity was peaked and so he approached the source of such sad sounds and crouched before her. His hand slowly touched her knee making her jolt and look up at him alarmed. Immediately smacking the top of her head to make her ears go away making him frown and grab onto her hands
“It’s alright love” he mumbled as she shook her head and tried to squirm out of his hold. He sighed and resorted to picking her up which made her cry again and him to panic. “No no no” he whispered, covering her mouth with his hand and his eyes widening when a tail curled up between her legs and little claws scratched at his arms. “Oh bloody hell” he muttered before speeding her to his home and getting her on the floor just as she turned entirely.
His brows shot up seeing her so small, running around like a lunatic and barking continuously. He blinked in surprise and slowly shut the front door, locking it and walking around the smashed vase and torn painting as she chewed at his brand new sofa cushions with her tail wagging so wildly that her whole body shook.
He made a gradual approach but the second she was in reach, she had darted up the stairs making him sigh and chase her through the house for the next 20 minutes. Having a little too much fun for an almighty hybrid as he tackled a small wolf to his kitchen floor and kept her firmly to his chest until eventually she turned back.
Asleep and completely naked against him. He cautiously lifted her up and brought her to his bed, not wanting her to run off while he slept.
He slipped his boxers up her legs and henley over her head, not without peeking at her lovely little body of course, and quickly stripping to his boxers before tugging the covers over the both and watching her from the other side of the bed. He kept an eye on her for as long as he stayed awake, until the steady beating of her heart sent him to sleep.
When he woke he was entirely on top of her, her big eyes looking up at him as he lifted his head to find her squished beneath him and shoving helplessly at his chest.
He kept quiet and in response so did she, swallowing thickly as she watched him observe her. She didn’t comment as his eyes lingered on her nipples that stood out against the soft material on his top, nor the way his tongue wetted his lips when he studied her legs.
“Do you do that a lot?” He asked just above a whisper when his eyes came back to hers and she nodded with a blush of embarrassment coating her cheeks.
“I don’t mean to” she uttered and he tilted his head ever so slightly
“I wouldn’t have thought you did” he murmured and she kept silent. He thought to himself for a moment before making an unklauslike decision “I think I’ll keep you love” he told her and she opened her mouth to speak but he was already talking again “no arguing, I’ll teach you to control yourself and we’ll see what happens from there okay?”
“But my mother and- and school! I learn at home, I can’t-“
“Do you know who I am love?” He cut her off and she turned her head
“Klaus?” She questioned, having heard of him before when her parents were researching, the mention of him from Tyler and the smell of both vampire and werewolf which twisted together when she lay under him.
“That’s right little wolf, Klaus, now I’ve been alive a very long time, I can teach you much better than any mother could. And besides, your mother would’ve found you before I had if she were worried” he waved it off and she frowned
“She will be…” she whispered and he watched in amazement again as the ears formed at her head. His hand automatically reached out to feel the soft fur against his skin making her lean into him. He could feel the smirk pulling at his face as he calmed her back down
“Oh you’re right love,” he began, seeing her brighten up a little bit in curiosity, “she will puppy, so how about I’ll handle it okay? She’ll let you come here, you want me to help you don’t you?” He manipulated and she immediately fell into it, nodding and laying still under him. Klaus couldn’t help but admire how she looked beneath him, her big round eyes and wolf ears still on display. If emotion was what brought this out in her, he could only imagine how she would howl if he treated her the way he desired.
But he would wait, he needed to get her under control at least a little so that she didn’t destroy his house and hurt herself in the meantime. He didn’t believe she would be able to hurt someone else, especially not purposely but he saw how she basically ran into walls without a care and worried for her own sake.
He snapped out of his thoughts at the whine she produced, confused on his face before he realised his knee was inbetween both her legs and she had almost definitely never been touched like that. One because of her little wolf issue, and two because she clearly had a lack of time outside her home just based off how afraid she was outside and then looking in wonder at simple objects in his home. Not that it was an issue for him, the more unaware she was in general, the better. She would be easier to tame if he could train a fresh mind.
And she was just that, a breathe of fresh air.
Simple and appreciative. No matter how small a thing he did for her, she was smiling brightly with her tail wagging and ears up. Whether it be a new bookmark or a diamond bracelet.
He remembers when he told her she could decorate her own room, he had never seen someone get so excited so fast. The room looked completely out of place, the rest of the mansion was relatively dark and gloomy but her space was bright but soft, calming in a way instead of tense.
He loved how she was like that, calming. Whenever he was having an awful day, there she was in his lap, ears up and a book in her hands that he had ‘assigned’ her to read for her ‘schoolwork’. She seemed to have at least her ears out all the time, especially when he touched her, just a hand on her leg would have her tail wagging and he couldn’t find it in himself to make her stop.
But he found that if he did tell her to put them away, it was the only way she would do so.
He had found her in tears over two star crossed lovers in a book she had gotten from her personal library, a gift from him of course, and watched as she struggled to calm herself down. But the second he used a commanding tone on her to put the canine features away, they were gone and she was whimpering quite literally like a puppy being told off.
He found that he had more control over her wolf than she did. And he loved it, she was his good girl, his little puppy to play with and look after.
She kept his bed warm when he was gone and made his heart swell when he was there.
He loved seeing her so freely running around in her wolf form, finally able to control where she was going and what she was thinking as she chased the birds and and spun around to get his attention. Only issue was when she gained more control, he seemed to lose some. And she was quick to tease him, running circles around him and nipping at his ankles when he was busy, having him chase after her because she had taken his phone or worse: the white oak stake. Of course she didn’t understand the importance but to her it was a game and she wanted him to play too.
He understood her mindset of course and she was completely entertaining for him but it was a pain to have to hunt her down every time he needed her to practice her school work.
He would always remember the first time he turned to chase her down. The surprise in her eyes when she skidded to a halt and looked up at him. He must’ve been nearly 10 times bigger than her and although she should probably have been terrified, she yipped happily and darted for the tree line. He shook his head before following after the flash of grey and brown that weaves through the woods, ultimately pinning her down and bringing her home before claiming his prize for winning the game.
The prizes varied greatly, sometimes he got a kiss on the cheek from her, sometimes he would get to sink his teeth into her sweet skin, sometimes he would just lay with her, y/n on the other hand got very different prizes, on the rare occasion that she won he found himself wearing a face mask and cucumber on his eyes as she giggled and held his hand.
Whatever she did, whether she were human or a little wolf, he kept her happy and hidden from the rest of the world but this time she didn’t feel like a disappointment, she felt adored.

Read the rest of the story HERE!
Without thinking, you start to run toward Jack in an effort to free him from his bonds, but you’re immediately cut short by a quick tug of your hair, pulling you backward.
“Ah ah ah!” Alistair scolds, whipping your neck back to face the ceiling as he practically drags your heels across the floor. “Not so fast, little lamb.” He presses his lips against your scalp, inhaling the fear as it practically radiates off you. “Not until I say so.”
“Leave her out of this, Alistair!” You hear your original lover plead between heavy breaths, his chains clinking together as he tries in vain to break free. “Do what you want with me, but let her go.”
“Oh, I don’t think so.” Alistair grins with delight, each and every one of his sharp teeth glinting in the candlelight as he pulls you toward Jack along with him. “What’s that old colloquialism again, Jack? The forbidden fruit always tastes the sweetest?” He loosens his grip on your hair once there’s barely any space between the three of you, carefully moving a stray strand away from your face before opening his mouth again to speak. “No one tastes quite like her, do they?” His eyes bore into yours, that dangerous draw of his making it impossible for you to look anywhere else as he continues stroking your locks. “And I’m not just talking about her blood.”
You hear Jack growl, the shackles around his wrists jingling as he pulls on them in another futile attempt to escape.
“Oh, you should have seen what we were just up to down the hall.” He pulls his gaze away from you to look at his prisoner, holding his fingers in front of his nose just long enough for him to catch your scent on them before he lets them fall back to his side.
“No,” Jack whimpers in disbelief, shaking his head at the thought. “You didn’t.” He looks at you, pleading for a different story but you’re too ashamed to give him one. Instead you only look at your feet, avoiding any further eye contact as he chooses to address Alistair directly. “You hypnotized her, enchanted her, you had to…”
“Did I?” He winks, leaning in toward him as the harsh truth hangs silently in the air between them. “Maybe she just finally came to her senses,” he smirks, narrowly dodging Jack gnashing his teeth.
“Oh, and you won’t be able to get out those silver chains, Jackie Boy.” He releases you all together, traipsing into the center of the room as he leaves you to your own devices. “Or should I say ‘Jacob’? Jacob Russoff, if my research is correct?” He smirks as he lets that extra bit of information sink in, your brow furrowing in exponential confusion. “I ordered these restraints special off the dark web; pure silver spikes should keep you from even thinking about turning while you’re down here with us.”
“I’m going to kill you, Alistair. As soon as I get out of these, I swear to God, I’m going to tear you apart.” Jack mutters, ignoring Alistair’s rant.
“Not from where I’m standing, you’re not.” He chuckles, glancing at him for a second before looking over at you. “You know, I thought about killing your beau after I found her… I really did. Just as quickly and ruthlessly as you killed Talia, but that just didn’t seem fair.”
Oh God. Oh no! This isn’t about you. This was NEVER about you. You were just a pawn this whole time to hit Jack where it hurt the most. How could you have been so fucking stupid? How could you have been so selfish?
“It would have been so easy,” he starts his villainous monologue by making his way back over to you. “But then I thought of something better, something more devastating to plague you with in your final moments.” He caresses your face and tugs on your bottom lip, entrancing you again. “Something more fun.” He fingers the hem of your silk gown as it dips into your cleavage, pulling it down far enough to expose the top of your nipples. “She looks amazing in this shade of green, don’t you think, Jacob? It really brings out the cooler tones in her skin, because… if I’m being honest… when I’m done with her, that’s all that she’ll have left.”
Jack growls with a fatal mixture of anger jealousy as he watches his adversary touch you, his face changing in shape as fangs and hair grow and shrink from his head before relinquishing back into his original form.
Alistair only laughs at Jack’s failed attempt at transformation, carefully tracing the outline of his first bite on your neck with his fingertips. “Talia and I had been together for centuries… traveling the world, drinking the blood of every man, woman and child in any country we could book passage to. Until you and your little daywalker friend broke into our home when I was out hunting. When I finally got back later that morning, the love of my life, my partner in crime, was reduced to nothing more than a pile of ashes.”
“Please,” Jack pulls again on his restraints, the spikes underneath them now digging into his skin as droplets of blood splash onto the floor. “Please don’t do this, I’m begging you!”
Alistair grabs onto your chin, squeezing it tightly as he forces you to face him. “Talia didn’t have time to beg for her life. So I thought, wouldn’t it be something if I found the love of your life and somehow made her forget all about you? Your romantic history, your cursed nature, the sound of your voice, or even your name?” He pushes the straps of your dress off your shoulders, guiding you out of the cloth that pools at your feet before grazing his palm over your breast.
You can feel your muscles moving under his silent command, every ounce of resistance you try to put up against him failing as your body does exactly as it’s told. His icy cold grasp surrounds your hips and waist as he draws you in to further torment you both against your will, still speaking to Jack as if you aren’t even in the room.
“Do you know how fast she folded? How quickly she ran into my arms as soon as I erased all those memories of you from her mind? Sure, it took me a while to comb through every interaction, to go through her phone while she slept, to delete every trace of you from existence, but it was worth it, Jacob.” He closes his eyes and smiles, reliving that moment for a minute before opening his eyes again.
“I mean I see why you like her, just based on the things she let me do to her,” he cups your breast before pinching your nipple, drawing out a reflexive moan from your lips that widens his smile. “The things she begged me to do to her were absolutely obscene! Honestly, when I looked back on all of her memories of you, I don’t think you ever got as far as I did. Not even close! You never truly understood her on the level she was so desperate to be seen on.” He taunts him as his hand smooths over your neck again, stopping only to softly caress your cheek. “But I think I’ve grown quite fond of her in the process, and I might even keep you alive long enough for you to watch me turn her. I want you to watch her become everything that you hate before the hunger takes over and it’s just you against your blood thirsty girlfriend.”
Before he has a chance to reply, Alistair kisses you deeply, ignoring Jack’s running starts to break his chains out of their metal fasteners in the wall as his frigid arms surround you completely. His cold embrace intensifies as he bombards you with that euphoric feeling from before, flooding your thoughts with images of you and him together in every heated position imaginable before suddenly pulling back.
A dense and deafening silence fills the air like the calm before a storm, forcing the three of you to pause and stare blankly at each other.
The distant sound of gunfire draws his hands completely away from you, breaking the spell that kept you docile and compliant as your eyes shift back over to Jack. Scattered screams and thuds from three stories up muffled by the thick concrete that encases this room only grow louder with the ding of the elevator down the hall. Quick, heavy footsteps increase in speed and volume before the red door finally swings violently open again, barely hanging on by its hinges.
“Took you long enough,” you hear Jack whisper under his breath with a smile.

To Take Care of You Part 2
Tumblr media
Pairing: Jack Russell x fem!Reader (with a tad bit of Ted)
Words: 766
A/N: Here's part two as requested. It's not my strongest work since I kinda struggled with inspiration for it. However, I hope you enjoy it!
Part One
---
Jack had you encapsulated within his embrace the moment the last dish was put away. “Perhaps we can get started on our family,” he mumbled as he placed a hot kiss to your neck. It was full of need. Desire and love. No matter how much he physically needed you, he always made sure you knew how much he loved you. How you were home to him. How he never felt more human than when he was when he was with you.
“Jack…,” you gasped as you titled your head in the opposite direction to give him more access to your neck as you felt the warmth of his tongue make contact with your skin. The first time he did it was when he had officially marked you as his mate.
You had only made it as far as the living room and the fire still crackled as it did it’s bests for warn off the cool late autumn air.
“Mi querida,” he breathes and your breath catches by the intensity of his gaze as he sought your confirmation before continuing on.
“Jack, I’m yours,” you reassure him and in an instant he finds your mouth with his hungrily as he helps you discard your sweater a over your head. The dark flannel and white undershirt he was wearing was quickly discarded before his lips find yours.
“So beautiful,” his voice is husky and his accent thicker than usual due to his need for you. The chill of the autumn air met your bare skin which caused you to shutter which didn’t go unnoticed by Jack who pulled you against him. Even in human form he ran warmer, a fact that you were thankful for during the cool autumns and cold winters.
***
The hot lavender scented water was heavenly on your aching body. As loving as Jack was sometimes he could get a bit lost in his own passion and the floor did you know favors as well.
“Mi querida,” he murmured as he peeped around the half closed door and you can’t help but note the hurt in his voice “I’m so so sorry.”
“There’s nothing to be sorry for,” you assured him as he knelt beside you taking your hand in his “Jack, I’m so lucky to have you…most people search for their soulmate their whole lives and I found mind,” you did your best to shift your body so that you could press your forearm to his “You’re going to be a wonderful father…I’m still surprised that you don’t have dozens of little werewolves running around out there.”
“No, no…your my alma gemela,” he emphasized “and my esposa amada.”
When you made your way down the stairs after dressing for the day you were greeted by the wonderfully domestic sight of Jack studying the menu to the local Japanese restaurant.
“Trying something new, my love?” you purr into his ear from behind as you run your hands down his shoulders and chest before wrapping your arms around him.
“Hmm…Maybe,” he mumbles “how about you?”
“I’m a creature of habit…so probably not,” you stated with a shrug “oh, this reminds me I need to run to the store…it won’t take long just a couple of things.”
“Of course…whatever you need,” he responded as he turned his head brushing his lips against yours “mi vida.”
---
After you had successfully navigated the store for the few items you needed, the two of you proceeded to pickup your sushi and ramen order. You always found yourself dumbstruck by the shear amount of sushi Ted could consume and you’re sure the restaurant staff felt the same - you truly felt for the sushi chef that had to make it all.
As soon as you had returned home and have deposited your purchase on the kitchen table you had trekked out to Ted’s camp which was just a short distance from your home within the forest.
Ted perked up upon hearing your voices approach “look what we brought?” Jack announced to his good friend who responded with what was incoherent growls but you knew Jack understood every word “yes, yes we got your usual.”
You just stood back and observed as they bantered about something when Jack returned his attention back to you “mi vida?”
You smiled as you returned to his side to help him unpack the meal “you’re so cute,” you say with a peck on his cheek. You couldn’t hold back the chuckle when he retuned your display of affection with one of his own as he nuzzled your neck.

To Fetch a Stone of Blood
I'm fortunate that my husband supports my Werewolf By Night era. He enjoys WBN but isn't obsessed with into it like I am.
My husband is a talented artist and storyteller. He whipped up the first draft of the below this morning. I've worked on it a little. The meter and rhymes aren't perfect, but who cares? I'm still laughing!
Jack and Elsa went to the manor to fetch a Stone of Blood Jack fell down and began to howl and Elsa trembled and shuddered Jack lost his composure but had sniffed Elsa all over before getting hairy and, frankly, quite scary The pair killed the thugs before Verussa struck back intent on hurting Elsa and Jack Then Ted dropped in to give Verussa a hug

Chapter Three.
Tumblr media
There was something so surreal about getting ready for a date with Derek Hale, if someone had asked me in high school if we were ever going to date, I would look at them like they had grown two heads. I had probably gone through my whole closet by now, looking for the perfect date outfit. Derek had said to wear something comfortable, that we were doing something he knew I would like.
That was a lot of confidence for a man who hadn't seen me in years, then again even now he knew me like the back of his hand. When I finally settled on jeans and a nice blouse, I heard a knock at the window. Usually when you hear a knock at your window in the middle of the night, you would jump six feet into the air, but I knew better.
I peeked out and saw a familiar handsome face, I smiled and opened the window. There he was, Derek Hale. Kneeling on my roof with a bouquet of flowers in one hand.
"I thought we don't sneak into each other's houses anymore?" I laughed quietly as his free hand gripped my waist, dropping the flowers so he can hold onto the window.
"I thought you would appreciate some nostalgia." He kissed me, a sweet 'hello' kiss that would make any girl melt. I held onto his shoulders as he pulled away, smiling up at him like a lovesick puppy.
"Ready, sunshine?" I nodded, at a loss for words upon hearing his old nickname for me. He lifted me up into his embrace before gently jumping down onto the grass. My house was two stories tall, but even without his werewolf abilities it didn't look like he broke a sweat doing that.
I looked back at the window, wondering why I never questioned how he could climb around so easily when we were in high school. He snuck into my room every night since my grandparents were strict, and then he would make himself at home in my bed so we could do homework together before going to sleep. He would sneak out again at the crack of dawn, so that my grandparents wouldn’t see him in my room when they came to wake me up.
“Where are we going?” I squeezed his hand to get his attention on me, he had been staring at the forest behind my house for a long moment.
“You’ll see.” He smiled. I feel like he could get away with murder with that smile, I would let him.
“You know I don’t like surprises.”
“Too bad, you’ll have to like this one.” I huffed, of course he would still have the same cocky attitude. I thought he changed but when Derek is comfortable, he’s still that cocky kid that I knew and loved back in the day. However, now his actions had more control over me. The moment he kissed my cheek my attitude dropped, when he started walking down the street, I had all but mindlessly followed him.
Maybe I was reading too much into it but as we walked, I could feel his muscles tensing. His thumb constantly caressed the back of my hand, he kept me close like something could happen at any moment. However, I didn’t want to ruin this moment between us. I would never get a first date with him again and I was not about to pass it up. I’ll just have to try and take his mind off whatever is bothering him.
“Derbear, remember when we stole that stop sign?” I pointed down the street, where there was still no stop sign. He chuckled and nodded.
“You mean you and Paige stole while I had to be the getaway driver.”
“You were still an accomplice thus it is still we!” We laughed together this time; I felt his arm relax as we did. Exactly what I wanted.
“You two got me into a lot of trouble.” He smirked, pulling me closer to his side and wrapping his arm around my waist. I could feel my cheeks heat up at the gesture.
“You got us into just as much trouble, you were always the one convincing me to sneak out to parties on a school night.”
“Convince? I don’t think just asking is the same as convincing.”
“It’s very hard to say no to such a handsome face.” Another chuckle escaped him, followed by a kiss. I had to remind myself to thank Aphrodite later, because this man’s kisses felt like I was touching the stars. I doubt I will ever get tired of him, of his touch, of his scent, of his kisses. No, I will be obsessed with this man for the rest of my days.
I chased his lips with my own as he pulled away, I couldn’t even wait another moment to have his lips against mine again. I could feel him smiling against my lips, his hands now gripping my waist tightly. I feel like I’ve forgotten about the date with my mind so consumed by his touch alone. It took all my willpower to pull away, looking up at him with a starstruck gaze.
“Are we at my surprise now?”
“Turn around.” His hands never left my waist as I did, a look of confusion forming on my face.
"The bookstore?" He chuckled, resting his chin on my shoulder.
"You didn't bring any of your books with you when you moved back, I know how much you love to read." I glanced at him, wondering if the man that was holding me now was real.
"Our first date...is you buying me books?”
“There’s a café next door to get some drinks afterwards.” He kissed my cheek and pulled me into the store, the warm air of the heaters hitting in the face. I took a deep breath, enjoying the smell of the books. He had brought me to heaven.
“What’s my limit?”
“However many books you need to fill that shelf in your office.”
“What? Derek, that’s like fifty to seventy books.” He shrugged, smirking. Then I remembered how much money he makes, how much money he probably spends on his cars. That was when I realised that I was dating a very well-off man. But even with that in mind, I didn’t want to spend all his money. I felt as if that was unfair, I wasn’t with him for his money.
“Sunshine don’t give me that look. I want to do this so please let me.” That’s all I needed to hear before I dragged him down to my favourite aisle in any bookstore. Romance. I could hear him chuckling as I looked at each book with a longing gaze, almost like I would be sad if I didn’t take all of them home. At first, I grabbed the twilight books, you had to start with the cringey classics that you just can’t let go of. Then I grabbed several J.R Ward books, the king of werewolf and vampire romances. Then it was time for more erotic books, court of thorns and roses, the discovery of witches, the twisted series, the zodiac academy series, and the haunting Adeline duo.
“Do I even want to know what you just grabbed?”
“Books that will give me ideas on what we can do.” I winked, a small bit of excitement in my voice. Then I pulled him towards the fantasy section, Harry Potter and Percy Jackson now being placed in his arms.
“Are you going to get all the books again?” He raised an eyebrow, holding up the first book of Percy Jackson.
“If that’s okay, I want to read them again.” He nodded and kissed my forehead, taking the rest of the books from the shelf. His arms were unbelievably full already, the piles of books already meeting his chin. I would say that it makes him much more attractive, holding all my books while I shopped.
When we got to the shop keeper you could see in her eyes that she was surprised to see so many books, but after seeing Derek hold my hand she understood. As he paid, I gave him several kisses all over his face, I could tell he was trying extremely hard to hide the smile that was forming.
“Now I’m paying for our meal.” I don’t think I’ve ever seen his head turn that fast.
“Absolutely not.” He picked up the bags filled to the brim with books with one hand, and the other held my hand tightly. I laughed as he gave me a stern look, he would probably take away from bank card if he could reach it right now. He escorted me out of the bookstore, his arm now wrapping around me and resting his hand on my waist.
“Derbear, seriously I can pay for one thing.”
“Do the girls in those books you’re reading ever pay for anything?” No but they usually don’t let their significant others pay without an argument, so the men end up buying the things the women like behind their backs. But I was not going to tell him that, didn’t want him to get any ideas.
“Fine, but just so you know I will be spoiling you too. You just won’t know when.”
“I’m a werewolf, I’ll hear if you speak about it anywhere near me.” I paused at that comment, wondering if he got his werewolf abilities back and didn’t tell me. He looked down at me, shaking his head which answered my question.
“How is Scott and Stiles?” I changed the topic, knowing that his missing werewolf abilities are a sore subject. I still don’t fully understand how he could lose it, I didn’t think it was a thing he could lose. Then again, the whole supernatural world was new to me. Knowing Derek for as long as I have, I’m surprised I never found out that he was a werewolf. His unbelievable strength, speed, agility, I just wrote it off on his excessive training.
“I think you scared them.” He chuckled.
“Good, I don’t like being lied to and I am still a bit mad at you for using them to babysit me.” I huffed which made him laugh harder as we sat down at the café.
“Even after buying you all these books?”
“Okay, you might have been forgiven before that.” I glanced at him.
“And how was I forgiven?”
“Like this.” I pulled him close for a kiss, smiling against his lips as he moved his hands to my hips. Making out in public has never been on my to do list but Aphrodite has blessed me with a man that is impossible to resist, and it was a self-ordering café so we wouldn’t be interrupted. A quiet moan escaped me as he nibbled on my bottom lip, I opened my mouth eagerly and within a second his tongue was claiming every inch. One of his hands moved up my curves and tangled his fingers in my hair which kept me as close as possible as he took my breath away.
When he pulled back my breath was laboured, my eyes flickered to his lips that were now slightly red from our kiss. When I looked back up at his eyes he was already staring at mine, he leaned in again which sent a wave of excitement through my body. No, my soul. Every possible moment, every possible second that passes makes me crave being under-
His phone rang.
“Um…” I cleared my throat, suddenly coming out of my lustful daze. He shook his head and ended the call, he smiled at me and leaned in again. The same feeling bubbled up inside me again, I gripped the front of his shirt and this time leaned in with him. Our lips connected again, his hand moving to the nape of my neck-
His phone rang again. He growled, ripping his phone out of his pocket and answering.
“What the hell Stiles?” His face changed at once as he listened to the kid, his hand on my waist tightening a bit. He ended the call.
“It’s Scott.”

"Dog Days" Chapter 1
-Leah Clearwater Twilight Fanfic
-2500 words
A while ago I starting writing a fan-fic starring Leah Clearwater from Twilight because my wife told me one day that she wished there was more Twilight content out there. So, I wrote the first chapter in a few days. I was never crazy about the franchise but I would always watch the movies with her because she loves them (and I think the world building is very good!) This work is from the perspective of the werewolf Leah Clearwater and it's based on the movies since I never read the books. The dialogue is intentionally written in the style of the films which I found a little flat at times but always fun. If I got any relationships between the characters wrong I'm so sorry-- I'm not reaallyyy well versed and I've literally never in my life written fan fiction before. It was really so my wife could enjoy but I hope you do too! Please check out my published novel pinned to my blog if you do

The air was finally still by the time Leah woke up on the twisted dock overlooking the lake. What caught her eye was the stillness of the water. It was so calm and ignorant to all the pain welling up inside her head. She laid completely nude on that mangled hunk of wood, just staring off at the perfect reflection of the pale overcast sky, only to have that aquatic serenity interrupted by distant ripples. Leah propped her body up on her left arm to see what the disturbance was, spotting the two canadian geese that had landed in the lake nearby. A couple of lovebirds.
She splashed at the honking couple to shoo them away. The naked young woman couldn't stand the sight of another happy couple; not since what Sam and Emily did to her. It was then that all of the memories came flooding back to her; the scarring pain of deception, and of course, Dad. She splashed her fist into the lake again, only harder. Eventually, the dripping of the clear water from her arm began to turn a thick red.
     Blood? She wondered.
Before she could make sense of it, the pale sunlight poking through the clouds onto the evergreens below became entwined with the flashing of red and blue lights. Then, the door to the squad car shut softly. Leah heard the boots make their way down to the end of the dock but didn't move an inch. Her eyes remained fixed on the lake, which had started to settle once again. She felt the warmth and the roughness of the blanket on her shoulders, and afterward, she smelled the morning coffee on his breath as he exhaled a long sigh. He helped her up, carefully ushering each step, as the dock had fallen into disrepair and was dangerous.
The golden badge reflecting the red and blue lights read "Tribal Police", encased in a seven-pointed star. Turning away from it, she finally witnessed the aftermath of what happened the night before. Practically a whole herd of brown and white cattle sprawled out on the shoreside. They were motionless, with eyes empty, horribly torn apart. Leah shook her head from side to side, not out of regret, but out of embarrassment more like.
"You know, you're lucky that I'm the guy that found you out here.", he said.
The tall douglas firs with their thick, green needles flashed by the window at 60 miles per hour.
"Okay", Leah mumbled, indifferent to the situation she found herself in.
"I'm serious. If one of those knuckleheads from the other station found you out here naked, covered in dry blood from head to toe, catchin' Z's with a dozen mutilated cattle, they wouldn't be so gentle with you."
"Mhm", Leah mumbled again, "I hear you, officer…"
"Rayfield" the officer introduced himself. "They probably would've shot you dead if they found you the way I found you too. All big, hairy, and snarlin'."
     Leah gasped.
"Don't worry, I know who you La Push fellas are. What you are." Rayfield tried to assure her, "Old legend."
He pounded his chest, leaning toward her in the backseat as he said the words.
"I didn't know you got so big when you shapeshift into those big… wolf things. Didn't know there were girls who did it either. You must be Sue and Harry's girl."
The copper skin and braids gave away the native connection they had, but he was still an outsider. She didn't want to give anything else away.
"It's alright, I knew your dad. Good man. One of the best, I'd say… Sorry to hear about his passing but… Look, I can work my magic down at the station but I gotta tell your mom about this."
Leah made doubly sure to keep quiet for the rest of the ride after that.
"And another thing… These Summer dog days can really drag and get you into some wild mischief and such, but just do me a favor and try to stay out of trouble? At least the 'property damage' kind."
The shapeshifter in the back of the squad car made no such promise.
"Speaking of Summer, can you roll down the window, here?" Leah begged.
"As long as you don't stick your head out of it." Rayfield said through a smirk, lowering the warm glass to let the air in.
Shutting the cold water from the shower off, Leah could hear Mom and Rayfield's muffled voices in the living room. The gasps and groans were so typical of her mother, she couldn't help but roll her eyes. Leah didn't care. That past year had seen turbulence, the likes of which Leah's life had never known before, climactically ending with the sudden death of her father, for which she blamed herself.
Eighteen-year-old Leah would feel utterly ashamed of spilling the blood of so many animals in such a reckless way. Her actions went against everything she had once believed in, whether it be putting the family, the pack, and the tribe at risk, or inflicting wanton violence on innocent creatures. She hadn't even thought about the poor farmer who lost all of that livestock in one fell swoop. Regardless of how disapproving eighteen-year-old Leah would be, nineteen-year-old Leah wholeheartedly did not care. She felt possessed by some vengeful spirit, and it seemed to her that no amount of cold showers would keep her blood from boiling over again.
Leah finally showed herself when she was certain the officer left, dressed in a black tank top and matching jean-shorts cut off from the knee down. Outside her door, Seth took the last bite of his egg sandwich and made a peace sign with the hand he used to take it. It pissed her off to have a little brother so blissfully ignorant to situations that called for a little more grace and understanding, but she loved him anyway.
"She's really mad. Like-- seriously mad. What did you do now?", inquired the scrawny guy, mouth full.
Leah was quick to shoot back a "None of your business" after a sharp grunt.
She pushed past him and down the hall with creaky floorboards to where mom sat on the couch like a stoic eagle eyeing a far-off mouse.
"You really did it this time," Mom said.
     Leah expected that one.
"I think what you need is a vacation."
That one was admittedly a surprise.
     "What? You're joking," Leah responded.
"Nope, no jokes. I'll tell you what I mean," Mom went on.
"I understand how you feel about your father, but you're not the only one hurting. More than that, all of the Quileute business he used to take care of falls into my lap now, and I don't need your grieving getting in the way of what needs to get done around the tribe. Why don't you take the truck and drive down to see your cousin Dana in San Francisco?"
     Leah blurted out, "By myself?!"
She had never crossed state lines before, much less taken in a big city like San Francisco. And Dana? She hadn't seen her since they were little.
Mom insisted, "The drive alone could do you good. I'll give her a call later this afternoon."
"I don't know about all this." Leah said, thinking about the rest of the pack, and of course, Seth.
"I'm not giving you a choice," Mom finished.
It was then that the last person Leah wanted to see backed in through the front door, carrying a crate of binders, folders, and documents. He didn't see her at first.
"Where do you want this, Sue?" Sam asked, struggling to hold the crate up.
The sight of Leah caused him to lose his grip and it fell to the hardwood below. She wondered, after all the push ups and crunches she saw him do over the three years that they were together, why his massive and glistening arms couldn't keep a crate off the ground.
Leah couldn't keep her eyes from wandering despite the loud crash. He was wearing the sexy, red tank top she liked. Damn it. More memories came back. She could hear the crickets from when they would make out near First Beach. She heard the reeds swaying in the warm Summer wind.
"Sorry, Leah. Didn't know you would be here," he said with his annoyingly hot, deep voice.
She was flustered, but not so flustered that she couldn't respond with, "... At my house… where I live?"
"Uh, right," he managed to say after some aimless mumbling. "Sorry about that, Sue."
"It's fine," Leah responded before mom could.
They both knelt down to pick up the spilled contents of the crate.
"I got it!" Leah said forcefully, her hand snatching a binder from his.
She was shaking so much she thought she might shapeshift into her wolf form right there in the living room. It was Seth's dumb grin from when he entered the room that kept her from losing it.
Mom cut through the awkward silence, "Seth, don't you have any more of those eggs you made? Fetch some for Sam here."
"Oh, no, I can't stay, thank you, Sue. Going hunting with Quil," Sam replied modestly.
"Which Quil?" Seth asked, hoping it was the younger one so he could tag along.
"Old Quil," Sam said bluntly, messing up Seth's hair. "Have a good one, Clearwaters."
He stepped out onto the porch, leaving Leah to tend to the mess, as well as the inner scar she felt had torn open once again. Sam seemed to have that effect on her lately.
"They're the last of your dad's documents from the office," Mom explained.
Leah blocked her out as she gathered the last of it and placed the crate on the kitchen table. A deep and much-needed sigh emptied out of her. Maybe Mom was right about her needing a vacation. The thought was fleeting, though, as she caught a glimpse of  a dark figure reveal itself from beyond the treeline through the kitchen's screen door.
     Is it him? she thought.
Leah's feet decided to find out for themselves before Mom could ask where she was going. There was no time. The screen door shut with a light metallic creak. It was only a few long strides to get to the thick greenery just ahead, and with a sharp inhale coupled with deep inner focus, she could see the fur glistening upon her limbs. The Earth thundered beneath her four mighty and bestial paws. Shape-shifting at will was coming more naturally to Leah than it did the first few months she spent trying to control the ancient power. The most notable discipline she came to hone was her ability to pick up scents and track them without wavering. Jacob's was no exception.
After following that scent for over a mile, a loud bark made his presence known. Jacob strode out into the clearing that Leah found herself in on all fours. His dark oaken-hued fur glowed in orange stripes as he stepped into the sun's rays, which had finally broken through the clouds.
"What are you, spying on us?" Leah conveyed to him telepathically.
The words were sent with a snarl.
"Consider it curiosity", Jacob growled back.
The ashen colored wolf paced about the clearing long enough that the darker one began to mirror her. It seemed like an archaic dance of sorts, one in which two souls scorned by unrequited love and blinded by hatred found solace in each other's shared contempt for the objects of their desire.
Jacob was the first to break the quiet.
"You manage to keep your emotions in check even when Sam comes around. I envy that. It must be soothing to look the one you love in the eye and hope nothing but the best for them, even when the feelings you still have choke you so tightly. That could never be me."
"It could, Jacob, if only you'd let it," said Leah.
Jacob's claws tore at the soft soil below as he spoke.
"Bella and Edward made their choice and they expect me to pick up the pieces. I want her. She wants him. It should be as simple as picking myself up and moving on but when I think of him… digging his claws into her… something in me wants to tear off his head as my jaws clamp onto it with all the strength I have."
"That's the kind of thinking that'll get you killed, Jacob."
     "Maybe I want it to."
     "You can't mean that."
     "Can't I?!"
The fierce, guttural bark let loose by the dark wolf made Leah wince in fear. It was as though the man within was gone and the primordial spirit of raw savagery was all that was left in his place. Was this path that Jacob gave in to the same path Leah would follow? The thought made her hide quiver.
There was eventually a feeling of forgiveness when Leah learned how hard Emily fought Sam's advances, knowing she was hurting her friend by giving in to them. Though Sam's unbridled anger got the better of him in response and left Emily with a terrible facial scar, the wolf within him was simply not within his control when it attacked her. And though she wished for their death countless times over, telepathically feeling Sam and Emily's guilt and regret in the wake of what they did to her hurt worse than the hatred that Leah learned to let go of.
The love triangle Jacob was caught up in seemed more difficult, sadly. He could not know what Jacob and Bella knew; could not feel what they felt with the wolf pack's gift of telepathy. All Leah could do was implore him not to wander further down that path of destruction she herself was lost on.
"You may not be able to understand how Bella feels, but will you do me the kindness of sharing this grief I feel for my father, Jacob?" Leah begged, half for her own sake and half for his.
Perhaps it was because the bitterness Leah and Jacob spat at each other through the years had built up into a force that was too strong, or maybe it was just that Jacob's hatred for vampires like Edward and their hearts of stone had grown too ferocious for him to let anyone in, or perhaps the truth was simply that Jacob knew feeling Leah's sorrow was enough to make him abandon that path of destruction, whatever the reason, Jacob ran away deep into the forest instead, in the swift way that he was known for. He ran until he was far out of sight, scent, or hearing range, forcing himself further down that long and winding road. Leah's words fell on deaf ears once again, but this time the thought crossed her mind that Jacob's path was his own to walk, no matter how similar their paths seemed to be. She knew then and there that it was time to start making her way back from her own path of self destruction. Leah decided she'd walk home on two legs.
