Render passes can look a bit intimidating at first but once you fully understand them, you can do some really cool stuff in compositing. But the journey to understanding them can be a bit difficult. I know it took me quite a while.
So that's what I decided to make this “ Demystifying Blender Cycles' Render Passes” tutorial series. In part 1 of this series, I'm going to help you understand blender cycles' light passes. More specifically, the light passes. It's a short tutorial but goes over the fundamentals and takes a deep dive into the science behind it.
