Join the #GetDirtyForOCD Challenge and help spread awareness about Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)!
OCD can make life and everyday tasks feel pretty messy - and, for some, getting dirty or messy is triggering and distressing, to put it mildly. For many, OCD is a debilitating condition to live with. So, we're flipping the script and embracing the mess to show support for those with OCD and to help raise awareness about this condition that affects the lives of millions worldwide!
Here's how you can participate:
1. Get dirty! Cover yourself in dirt, mud, paint, glitter, or anything else you can think of.
2. Take a photo or video and share it on social media with the hashtag #GetDirtyForOCD.
3. Learn something new about OCD and share a factoid or tidbit of info along with your post or share how OCD has personally affected your life.
4. Tag a friend (or more than one!) to join in the challenge!
OR if getting dirty isn't your thing (totally understandable!), you can still make a difference by:
โ€ข Donating $5 to a charity or organization that aims to improve the lives of those with OCD. I've set up a fundraising page with proceeds going towards the International OCD Foundation's Annual Fund, which is providing invaluable support and resources for those with OCD. Link here:
โ€ข Sharing what you've learned about OCD or how it has impacted your life.
Together, let's raise awareness about OCD and how it affects the lives of people all around the world. Let's get dirty, let's learn, and let's make a difference!
Follow us on Instagram (@getdirtyforocd) to stay in the loop and feel free to follow @supermaradyworld on Instagram and Threads for additional updates and behind-the-scenes content.
Thank you to @rev.er.ies on Instagram for designing the awesome logo seen here!

I have been living with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder for 20+ years. Ask me anything!
Hi all. I have been living with OCD, as well as anxiety and depression, for over 20 years; that's most of my life. It's been a roller coaster journey with my OCD, at times, being incredibly severe and debilitating. I've been through hell and back more than once and managed to survive. I've taken this new chance at life to raise awareness about OCD and other mental health conditions.
Today, I'm doing quite well and I'm preparing to launch a social media campaign to raise awareness about OCD.
Ask me anything!

Hello Tumblr! It's been a while!
I used to blog on here many a year ago and I am back - not to blog exactly, but to connect, network, share, explore and discover.
My name is Marady aka Max and I'm a queer 30-something Canadian blogger, content creator and mental health advocate.
I'm passionate about spreading awareness about mental health and supporting the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
I've been busy preparing to launch a social media campaign to raise awareness about Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), which I've been living with for over 20 years.
I'm excited to share that the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF) is in support of this campaign and so is a prominent mental health advocate!
I'm so stoked to share this project with you all when we launch on May 17th!
Feel free to reach out to me if you're interested in connecting or learning more about the campaign! ๐Ÿฅฐ
