Looking through photos and realizing how much I love you. My life would turn to dust without your presence; my world would turn cold & grey, my bones would shatter, and my heart would turn to stone. You have the most mesmerizing caramel brown eyes I’ve ever seen.. Your lips heal my wounds.. Your hands protect me.. You’ve shown me a new way to a better life, you’ve given me hope again, you’ve planted a spot in me that no one can ever replace. I’m in love with you, and I never want to let you go. Life is strange. We go through all of these phases, struggles, lessons and chapters nonetheless.. aim to make something out of ourselves for survival, all for what? To die in the very end and leave this earth. I’m 22 and it felt like not too long ago that I was just a toddler doing somersaults down the hallway on my grandmother’s yoga mat. In the blink of an eye I’m going to be 42, and hopefully by then I don’t have any regrets on what I did or didn’t do during these current youthful years of my life. Like I said, we’re all going to pass on anyway.. I just want to make my life worthwhile and put a smile on other’s faces before I leave. Those moments won’t even matter years from now or after I’m gone, they’ll vanish in thin air like the steam from a kettle pot. But that’s life. You literally live, die, and the memories & impacts you’ve made.. All carry on like a sailboat setting out to sea, getting lost in the sunset while the night slowly swallows them whole. Life man, life..

Every day I feel it about to slip, but then I catch it on time before it drifts. For I can only hope you go through the same. ..And that hesitance might be to blame.

I love myself enough to forgive, so judge me not by my decisions but judge yourself for your own misunderstandings and judgmental train of thought. I love myself therefore I choose not to go about my life holding grudges and drowning my mind in things that have already taken place in a fraction of the past. Forgiveness is a medicine that not all are eligible for a prescribed dose.. I know who I am, I know where I am going, & I know how I will get there. I am sure of myself because I trust in me. I trust in me because I love myself. I love myself because I know I am walking, living proof that no matter the circumstances, forgiveness is still out there that is in arm’s reach, and upon my conscious I took the leap and set it in my lap. Life is the biggest university you will ever attend, so take notes of these lessons and ace those tests. Sure, the chapters are plenty, but you’re the author as well, aside from being the reader. Give yourself a good ending after planting the knowledge of life into your brain. Take notes & take action. Life doesn’t stop for anyone so instead of stopping, keep on frolicking in the field of daisies. It’s a big world out there & you’ve got to enjoy the sunshine while you still have it. Live with an open heart, let go and accept what is & what isn’t. Realize what’s done is done. The future is in every ticking second.. Live it wisely and love yourself. Because once you finally love yourself, you can love others deeply and they’ll love you just as much. A life without love is like a heart without a beat. We must feel this verb to conquer our adversaries.

God made many creations, and you by far are the most loveliest & intriguing.. He made you perfectly perfect -from head to toe. Every nitch of you was made fine & steady with care. He knew what He was creating -who He was creating. And with His hands, He created a remarkable being that I am ever so blessed to share the same time in existence with. Our lifetimes crossed paths.. And that, is another wonderful creation within itself.

Do you really like me, or is it the thought of having someone that comforts you? Does my love for the stars in the sky bring stars in your eyes? Is it the lingering smell of my perfume that puts you at ease, or is it just the reality that you finally have something to hold on to? The fiery passion I have for the world & art, does it spark one in your soul too? If I were to leave, would it make you feel blue? Is this thing we have going on even true, because if it weren’t for that one drunken night.. I would’ve never had a clue. Do you still love her? Or her? The one that got away or the one who strayed? It’s not you, it’s me.. My mind is weighed by this anchor, on the bottom of the swaying sea.

How does it feel? To get what you deserve at last? You spat on me, kicked me, punched me, choked me, and got away with every inflicted pain you brought upon my being. How does it feel to have the same treatment performed on your emotions? You might have not ended up caged behind iron but I certainly got my justice with your sense of belonging lowered 6 feet deep. Enjoy your company with the rodents and insects living off of the decay of your flesh.
