hey folks is it gay to turn you and your transitive best friend invisible and take her for a lil fly over the nightmare forest to try and get some info on it during the absolute rager of a party your friends are throwing (that she started so you would stay) and then kiss in a tree before she skateboards away?

Tumblr media
TOMMYINNIT
"what the fuhck"
it'll just randomly pop out from no where and surprise the shit out of him
"welcome home, darlin" He jokes, putting on a fake accent to try and match yours. "Yeehaw partner, let's go kill some bitches!"
he's very playful about it, he honestly likes when you don't hide your accent because it's what makes you yourself
he bought you a cowboy hat for your birthday and you wear it around pretty frequently LMAO
he loves having a relationship with you and learning about the southern parts of America and how it differs from the UK because obviously culture differences and shit
talking to him about tornadoes and shit like it's nothing and he's just like "!?!?!?" LMAO
TUBBO
catches him off guard when you let it slip/are too tired to hide it
will make a joke or two about getting your rifle to go hunt some deer or some shit
"ready to go oppress gay people and go get blackout drunk?" you ask him, showing off your accent
"hell yeah, brother" he laughs, slapping a cowboy hat you had laying around on his head
he likes hearing you tell stories about living in the south and shit
and how fucking weird your (mostly distant) family was
"wait, is incest actually a problem?"
"I mean in the 1800s yeah, it's still pretty legal in a lot of places too but it's a bit less of a problem, doesn't make it less gross though. my second aunt and uncle are actually cousins, so like, that uncle is my third uncle technically"
"What the hell?"
RANBOO
he grew up in the more northern areas of the east coast so he at least has America pretty understood
the cultural shock still kinda hit them tho
the tornadoes? the droughts? the heat?
they thought the heat was bad for them? oh good god
when you let your accent slip out he just takes a second to make sure he heard you correctly and then jokes about it
"ready to hit the cabellas and get some guns?" He asks in a shit accent
"hell yeah, man, let's go" you reply, grabbing a nerf gun off their desk
they love your accent though, and loves how you both pronounce things and talk completely differently
sometimes he'll catch himself talking a bit like you and pause like "did I just say that like that...?"
FREDDIE BADLINU
when you slip out your accent or are just too tired to cover it up, he can't stop thinking about you like remaking the young sheldon intro if that makes sense
I know it doesn't but bare w me...
"ready to go wind up some cows partner?"
"fuck yeah, america!! rah!!!"
loves learning about the cultural differences between you two and shit
has a whole cowboy hat collection to cosplay as you and apparently each hat has their own personality/era of yourself
asks you what tornadoes are like and shit
"do you actually say yeehaw?"
"I hope not"

| milf (man i love fish moms)
synopsis: kim minji who works at a cafe develops a crush on a girl who she saw in a pet store, that girl is her neighbor — minji doesn't know.
— nonidol!kminji × nonidol!femreader
くコ:彡くコ:彡くコ:彡くコ:彡くコ:彡
kim minji vividly remembers the memory of when she first saw you, it was in a pet store located near the apartment complex she lives in. it sat in the middle of two restaurants, one is a fast-food restaurant and another one is a cafe, where she works as a cashier. she remembers how you stared at the fishes with so much adoration, your eyes were wide — sparkling like you had the universe inside of them.
minji remembers standing there, wearing her uniform and having to slap herself back awake when she realized she's been staring at you for quite a long time. because why the fuck was she there staring down an innocent girl gawking over fishes in a tank instead of doing whatever job she had? she literally only went to the pet store to bring the owner a box.
minji felt like a weirdo, for a moment only.
then she started thinking of you more often, not realizing that you lived in the same apartment as she did, the same floor and all. it's not like minji liked making friends, yeah she's sociable and all but she hated dealing with landlords and annoying neighbors.
so the door next to her apartment was always ignored, she never really had gotten a chance to know who the person living inside was. minji only got to know pham hanni, the girl who lived on the lower floor. they were friends, they also took the same classes.
meanwhile, you were stuck inside your apartment, which turned out to be the apartment next to minji's. you lived quite a comfortable life, you were content with whatever you have today, there's no point in looking for more.
you work at home, study online — play video games, eat, walk around the house and then take care of your fish, sometimes stare at them with your mouth wide open, amazed.
there's nothing in this world that you love more than fish, you study about them, you watch videos about them — you are practically obsessed with fish and there's nothing changing you. you see these fishes as your own, you bought them all the things they need, spent money on corals and bigger tanks, oxygen and fillers.
whenever you can, you'd research about a new fish and you try to look for them around every pet store that exists near your place.
you also have a turtle in a separate tank, you named him sheldon — which your brother didn't quite like.
your life revolves around these things only, and you could never be thankful enough for it. you never see a space in your life for love life, it's always unavailable because you care about things that you have now more than what you wish for.
but sometimes, there are people who are not content with your life — like your mother!
she finds your fear of stepping out of your comfort zone a not-so-good thing, it may affect how you live for the next few years, your confidence and more, and one of the things she hates is a kid who is fearful.
"honey, when will you find a partner? i'm worried you're not able to take care of yourself alone there." your mother sighed, for a thousand times already. it gets tiring but you understand that she's just worried, i mean you have no other sources of happiness, you have no one to lean on when there are problems.
you never saw that as a problem, it gets hard yeah but it's all good, right?
"mom, thanks but look — i don't think it's the right time for that. i'm still young and i have a lot of things on my plate right now." you answered, the phone on your hand and the other is wiping the moss away from the tank, it's not necessary to do that but you want to see your kids better.
"but who will you talk to when we're not there? y/n, you need a shoulder to lean on. you need someone to share sentiments with, to care for. you need to create more relationships, it's good!" seriously, you love your mom but sometimes she can get a little pushy.
but she did have a point.
"I'll think about it." you replied, trying to fight the urge to sigh in defeat. you hear your mom hum, a sign that she's satisfied with your answer.
the next day, you find yourself inside a cafe, beside the pet shop you visit all the time. you sat at a table near the counter, scrolling away on your phone to a website showcasing various species of fishes.
to be quite frank, it is your first time visiting here — you never paid much attention to this place, you eat by ordering and making foods yourself at your place. you liked it that way, you hated engaging interaction the social anxiety just isn't good.
you found the strength to stand up and make an order to the counter and as you walk — a certain cashier has her eyes on you. minji felt a tension arising from her, as you got closer and closer, minji got more skittish. she doesn't understand why but when she made eye contact with you, her knees felt weak.
"good morning!" minji greeted you, with a gorgeous smile on her face. you blinked at her and tried to smile back, but you screamed mentally realizing it might have looked forced and awkward. "good morning." you greeted back.
"may i take your order?" your eyes shot at the menu on the screen above, darting at the selection of food and drinks. there's this familiar feeling in your stomach, the same feeling you get during a class presentation when you're about to present your work or when you know you fucked the exam up.
erm, what do i want again? you ask yourself.
finding it hard to choose and to speak, afraid you might make any mistake and forever embarrass yourself. you remembered this one technique your brother taught you.
he said: "if you ever find yourself stuck in front of a pretty cashier and suddenly forget the basics of how to order food, just say — hey what's your recommendation? it works!"
your brother knows damn well it doesn't, and you yourself knows that too. everyone knows your brother is an airhead, he probably thinks it does wonders to literally anyone, then again he managed to be in a relationship with someone.
but alas, you were desperate.
"hey miss, what do you recommend here?" you were quite surprised, it went out smoothly, you didn't stutter and was able to hold eye contact for more than five seconds. minji smiled and pushed strands of her hair behind her ear.
honestly, minji has her own favorites, she has a lot of recommendations in the menu — there is a lot of good stuff in here but… she looks at you and sees quite an expectant look on your face (in reality, it's just you looking constipated and wanting to cut this social interaction quickly).
"i guess kombucha and cinnamon rolls, i think you'll like them." minji stated, her gummy smile looked pleasant to your eyes and you loved her energy, weirdly enough you were able to calm yourself down. with a nod, you bowed your head. "thanks, i'll take them." after paying, you're first thought is to leave the counter but —
"what's your name?" the cashier asked. you raised your eyebrows, there's this awkward twitching on the corner of your lips — you let out an airy laugh. "uhm, y/n." you see minji writing it on a paper before giving the receipt to you.
god, that was hard.
minji smiled, she really cannot help it.
you went back to the seat you were at a few moments ago, then started contemplating about your life, wishing you were sitting in front of your fish tank so the thoughts go 'round your head faster. it's hard to concentrate here, there are too many people.
your phone vibrated in your pocket, you dug your hand in and pulled your phone out to a message from you mother.
mom (ノ`⌒´)ノ┫:・┻┻
y/nnnn my daughter
i still remember what you told me
so, do you plan on meeting someone?
i am excited to hear about your thoughts
seen.
ah of course, your mom again. you knew she's not gonna give up that easily — but there was no way you can convince her, you've already kind of… promised her a positive answer so it's hard to turn back. at this rate, you'd have to get on with it, get a date or something.
mom (ノ`⌒´)ノ┫:・┻┻
erm
hi mom
i need more time,
i promise!
i need to get to know people more
sent.
you clear your throat when you feel the waiter approach your table with your order. minji stood by the counter, watching over you with a smile on her face.
the easiest way to find the perfect match for you is either through an app (which you KNOW you would hate) or through a mutual friend, which would probably be a safer option rather than being abducted.
mom (ノ`⌒´)ノ┫:・┻┻
well, i am expecting a good news by the end of this month
i know my amazing daughter would never disappoint ;)))
and plus i want you to be happy with someone
i can't stand you being alone there
seen.
well you are quite miserable, you wouldn't deny that but hey — you are trying! at least, that's the second best thing you can do for yourself.
mom (ノ`⌒´)ノ┫:・┻┻
alright i know mom,
don't worry, you'll meet the perfect person by the end of the month
they'll love fish too
sent.
your mother's reply came soon after you sent your message and you can't help but sigh playfully.
mom (ノ`⌒´)ノ┫:・┻┻
they better love fish!
my daughter can't be with someone who isn't willing to be a fish parent
>:(((
seen.
you still love your mom even if she's annoying.
when minji came back to her apartment, she didn't expect a visitor — which turned out to be her best friend; pham hanni. "hi bff! did you miss me?" hanni grinned at her friend, walking her way to the dining table and taking a cookie from the bowl.
minji rolled her eyes and smiled. "i see you everyday, pham."
hanni laughed and stood with her arms crossed.
"hey, remember when you used to complain about being lonely and sad?" hanni spoke, making her way to the living as minji went ahead of her. minji sighed and nodded. "oh yeah, i was drunk that time pham, forget it." minji responded, getting a scoff from hanni.
"just as i found a solution!" minji looked at hanni as they stood in the middle of the living room, her brow rising at the bold claim from hanni. "and what about it?" hanni pushed her friend lightly by the shoulder. "oh, don't act stupid! look, i'm setting you up on a date." hanni shrugged when minji looked at her with a "are you serious?" face — not forgetting the pout on her lips.
"and with who?" minji snarked.
hanni shook her head, raising her index finger and shaking it. "nuh-uh! can't tell, jihye said it's a secret." she proceeded to giggle over the mention of her girlfriend, which made minji fake a gag to mask her jealousy.
yeah, i definitely DON'T want a girlfriend for sure.
"thanks to your girlfriend i guess." minji sighed. she really wanted to bite the offer, but the fact that she's currently into someone else (which happened to be you) remains, how is she supposed to be there and act all interested?
that's gonna be harsh.
but then, it's not like she's gonna lose something.
"so? deal or no deal?" hanni nudged her friend. minji rolled her eyes playfully and said: "deal, gremlin."
and you found yourself fiddling g your fingers as you sat at a different restaurant that your friend, jihye reserved for you and your supposedly blind date.
you hope whoever that is jihye decided to set you up with wouldn't be an asshole, that's too much to ask for but hey — that has to be at least someone jihye knows of.
you were nervous, to say that you felt confident would be an understatement — you lowkey wished the restaurant had a tank with fish for you to stare at, but all they have here is a tank of lobsters that are on their life sentences, to be served as a dish.
this isn't good. you told yourself, feeling the same bubbling feeling inside you.
"hey," your head turns and you see a familiar face.
minji?
minji!
or to you, is the cashier from the cafe.
"y/n?" she muttered, looking at you. your eyes twitched, but gave her a small and shy smile.
a part of you is thankful it was her, rather than anybody else it had to be that pretty cashier from the cafe.
minji was happy, rejoicing inside her head when you stretched a hand at her.
"l/n y/n." you cracked a smile, this time it felt natural. minji chuckled a little, feeling her face burning up with the sensation of your palms on hers, the soft skin rubbing on her calloused one.
"i'm kim minji."
then all your worries were washed away when minji helped you get through the conversation, you liked her caring personality. it seems like she finds it easy reading people's moods and is able to choose her words very well.
you liked that.
you like her enough to let this little date be more than just a one time thing.
"i study marine biology! i like the water and i used to live near a shore at busan. i have a lot of pet fish and a turtle named sheldon." you watched as she listened attentively, her eyes darting at your face and to your lips — you like that, her way of showing interest. you like it when people care about what you say.
minji doesn't really care about fish, but she cares about the ocean, hello? — she was the one who suggested the use of papers in their cafe.
but it wasn't as intense as your interest, you seemed deep in the ocean studies (no pun intended, really). it didn't bother minji, as long as a pretty girl gets to say what she wants, minji's fine with that.
"that's cool! you know marine and like bodies of water are interesting." minji sees the glimmer in your eyes, it's like the skies at night are nothing compared to the blinding light in your pupils. you nod at her. "i want to say more, but there's not much time left. if you want, here's my number. i can invite you to my place anytime you're free." you passed her a card, it's your phone number.
minji looked up at you with flushed cheeks, you looked down and laughed softly.
when you got back home, the first thing you did was get your phone and message your friend.
mo jihye U ´꓃ ` U
hey
it was great
it went soo well
thanks
sent.
then your mom, you think of minji with a smile — feeling the excitement rush inside of you.
mom (ノ`⌒´)ノ┫:・┻┻
moommmm
i think i will be able to introduce you to someone
don't get too excited but,
she's great!
she likes the ocean too
sent.
your phone vibrated to messages of your mom, jihye then an unknown number.
mo jihye U ´꓃ ` U
oh my god???
really??
you like minji???
that sauurrrr amazing!
seen.
you laughed, kicking your feet by the edge of your bed.
mo jihye U ´꓃ ` U
i get it now,
i'll invite her idk when but i will
sent.
you scroll through the messages.
mom (ノ`⌒´)ノ┫:・┻┻
oh that's amazing!
i can't wait to meet her!
is she pretty?
does she have a job?
what's her hobby?
seen.
you decided to check out the unknown number.
unknown number
hey,
this is minji
;))
what's up?
seen.
you couldn't help but giggle; it's such a weird feeling but it's nice and you don't mind it.
minji ʕ ꈍᴥꈍʔ
all good
thanks for earlier,
you're so fun
hehe
sent.
mom (ノ`⌒´)ノ┫:・┻┻
that's way too many questions
still getting to know her more!
but we'll get there
just wait :D
sent.
you keep thinking about minji, it's too fast you think? but she's got that vibes, as long as she doesn't plan on murdering you, you believe it's going to be well. she's interested, and so are you — it's not gonna be that bad, right?
there's still doubt but it's not that bad to indulge yourself for a while, you hate second guessing and you like going for what you want.
minji ʕ ꈍᴥꈍʔ
nah, thank you too
hey, can't wait to hear more from you ;))
let's see each other often :pp
nice to meet you.
seen.
oh how fast you two have been, but that doesn't matter. you were ready to invite her over to your place, and she was ready to accept it — making sure she guessed a date you'll give her an invite, making sure it's free.
you plan on giving her an invite today, though the both of you have no idea where each other lives — still, it's quite crazy right? you are starting to realize that it's not just liking, or interest, you are fond of her now and it's going to be hard to ignore the way she makes your mind go crazy.
the last time you felt this frenzy was when you first got your fish tank.
her smile, her eyes, her nose, her cheeks, her hands, and her lips. minji is a dream, the type of dream you get in a deep slumber. meanwhile, minji loves you — already, it's a foolish thing to say but she really couldn't get enough, the way her heart gets crazy when you're near. the circuit of electricity running inside her veins your hands touch, your lips look magnetic.
she's desperate for more.
"just finished your shift?" you asked her, your finger twirling on the strand of your hair, the other hand on your phone, pressed to your cheek— you laid on your back, your weight pressed on the soft mattress of your bed. you tried to fight a smile, but the sound of her breath takes you away. "yeah, about to go home actually." she responded. you can hear shuffling from the other line and figured it might be her packing up her stuff.
"can i tell you something?" you asked her, minji raised her brows and stopped from what she was doing. "yeah?"
"can you come over here to my place? whenever you're free." minji felt herself frozen, she looked around the room to see if anyone was there, took a peek behind the wall before smiling from ear to ear. "yes, i don't mind tomorrow." you smiled, practically trying your best to fight the urge not to roll over your bed and fall.
"o-oh, yes! i'll send you my address."
minji chuckled and nodded. "alright."
here's the thing, as minji was walking her way back to the apartment complex, you were inside your apartment — the door next to hers, she doesn't know it's you of course, and you don't know it's her next door. minji walked past your door and stopped in front of hers, then her eyes darted to the door of your apartment.
i wonder who lives here.
must be an old woman or something.
minji then entered her apartment and received a message from you.
minji ʕ ꈍᴥꈍʔ
hey,
this is my address
×××× bldg. 3rd floor - ××××
see you!
sent.
minji placed her bag on the couch and read your message, her eyes checked if she saw it correctly.
the same building, the same location, the same floor — minji rushed outside of her door and then to your door, there's a number plate, exactly like what you sent her.
minji took a deep breath, then she knocked.
you were staring at your fish tank, heard the door knocking and wondered who it might be, it's not like you had any conversations with the person living next door nor knew anyone in this apartment complex.
as you opened the door, you were greeted by a not-so-much taller girl, your eyes met hers and you were taken back. "minji?" you peek outside your door and back to minji who smiled. "why are you here already?" you asked, with actual confusion in your voice.
minji chuckled and pointed to the apartment next to yours. "i live there. i just found out you live here too." she spoke with that deep voice of hers, sending chills to your spine.
you laughed. "oh my god." you put a hand on your face and stared at minji, her eyes looked so… cute today? you don't know, but you really think it's a precious sight to look at and get yourself lost in, the same feeling you get when you stare at your pets. then you can't help but smile wider, a blush painting your cheeks pink.
your mom will love minji, you'll make sure of it.
minji laughed, her eyes turned crescents, her cheeks flaring red and the tip of her ears are a thousand shades of red. it's music to your ears, you've never felt this happy with a person ever before, you just realized. it's like everything momentarily stops, but you are hyper aware of your surroundings, minji's presence and all — even the loud thumping your heartbeat resonating with hers.
you want to touch her hand, feel her warmth on yours.
"i like you already." minji muttered, her smile never fading. you tried to contain a squeal, something you really never expected.
"me too, i think. i like you too minji."

Do you think there's a chance a streaming service will pick ncis:h? I've signed the petition but do we dare to hope? I'm tired of this happening all the time. I just dont understand. It was doing fine in ratings and it's a part of a franchise that keeps getting more spin offs? How that makes sense? Do you know the ratings compared with the others ncis shows? Sorry im asking you but im not from usa and i have no idea how american netwoks work. So sad rn.
okay SO i am also not from the us but have done this dance before sooooo:
1) from what i’ve heard, they were planning to move either another ncis show (i think sydney?) or another cbs show to paramount plus - which they now are no longer doing. in theory yes, this opens up the possibility for ncishi to move over there; in practice, i’m not holding my breath, as typically that negotiation would happen before a cancellation announcement
2) how does it make sense? the honest answer is that it doesn’t. like, it really doesn’t. it’s been holding steady at sixth of 14 cbs shows in the ratings (which is a brilliant number, ensures it’s profitable, and is also impressive for a procedural that’s still relatively new). it’s been beating a LOT of other crime procedurals in viewership and viewer retention, and reviewers have been singing its praises. i think this is why it feels so much as if it’s because they just view this show as less valuable (socially and economically) than their usual white guy cop shows; it’s very difficult to argue that your profitable, successful show is too expensive when you’re flying cast and crews across - or, potentially, internationally to - australia, to continue a less-highly-rated show with no issue.
3) as far as ratings go - ncis hawai’i episodes were pulling in as many as 10 million viewers last year (s2 e10 came in with 10.5 mil, as per variety telecast viewership reports) which has it going toe to toe with the core ncis (seems to pull approx. 8-10mil per episode, via hollywood reporter). for the 18-49 demographic across us series, ncis hawaii is ranking at #13 of #21 as per tvseriesfinale.com - this is significantly above ncis sydney (renewed, #15), and elsbeth (#19, renewed), two other cbs shows, one of which in particular is incredibly expensive. crucially, ncishi has actually increased its viewership, which is VERY difficult to do on a year to year basis. its up by 4.18% among 18 to 49 year olds - for comparison the core NCIS is down 0.83% and fbi international - a competing show - is down by 3.73%. bear in mind that even a single percentage point represents hundreds of thousands of viewers.
i also want to point out that ranking at #13 isn’t strictly representative of viewer numbers, it’s about percentage of viewers that are within that core age bracket. the neighbourhood is ranking at #6, but only pulling in 4.8 million viewers - ncishi is at #13, and pulling in 5.2 million. ncishi pulls in over half a million more viewers than four shows ranked above it in that chart.
so essentially - it doesn’t make sense. from any perspective. it doesn’t make sense from a business perspective (ncis sydney is more expensive to produce and brings in approx. 200k less viewers than ncishi, and ncishi crew had already agreed to a shortened, budget-restrained final season), it doesn’t make sense for a ratings perspective (it continues to outperform many of cbs’ own shows, including ones that have been renewed), it doesn’t make sense from a social perspective (people are loving it, even outside of our fandom spaces).
objectively, it’s a really, really bad move by cbs. i also thought being part of a franchise would be a kind of safety net - fool me once, i guess. all the evidence suggests that they just don’t care enough about ncishi, especially when they’ve got their bullshit white guy ncis origins show, a young sheldon spinoff (?? who asked?) and a plethora of other cookie-cutter shows they can just keep going with. and we can make a pretty educated guess as to why, when the main things that set ncishi apart from the other ncis shows are its diversity and character dynamics
(edit: it was pointed out that people aren’t being flown to sydney from the us, which is true, and bad phrasing on my part - but many are flown across australia at seemingly similar costs to mainland us/hawai’i flights, and i believe not all of the leads are based in australia either, so i’ve updated that bit for clarity. apologies!)

One thing I really hate about the "autism is my super power" archetype is that it REALLY makes me feel inadequate when people compare me to these guys.
Like Sheldon Cooper or the guy from The Good Doctor. They're all successful, cishet white men. They've been through college at a young age, and sure. I was gifted in certain classes. But in others? I couldn't concentrate. It was too loud. Or too many people. Or too bright. Or too whatever.
My "superpower" wasn't math or history. It was memorizing dog breeds and calling them out on the street. Or finishing two novels in one day.
But it wasn't recognized as a superpower.
It was "recognized" as me correcting people on the average lifespan of whatever dog I had at the time. Or the things that the breed usually liked versus what somebody else thought they did. Or me sneaking glimpses of my book during class, and reading underneath my desk. It was me ignoring my elementary teacher when she called us for rug time because I was finishing the chapter of my story and couldn't put it down as easily.
And sure. They encouraged my reading. And I've gotten into a couple advanced classes that I otherwise wouldn't have been in.
But in the others I was still struggling.
I had one thing going for me and that one thing wasn't enough to propel me five grades ahead like it "should have."
I was the smart kid. Because I could memorize formulas and definitions in science and math class. Everyone was in awe of my low A's and high B's. But I wasn't a prodigy.
Just because I could memorize things didn't mean it was easy to learn.
Learning was the hard part.
And that's what nobody got.
How could I be struggling, if all this time I was getting near perfect scores?
Even after my diagnosis. I never was allowed out of class to take tests. Even when allergy season hit and I bombed a test because the boy behind me was sniffling up a ruckus. I was told I could retake it. To study next time and do better.
I never really learned how to study.
Studying was overwhelming. So I didn't do it. Nobody cared.
After all. I was getting near perfect scores.
Homework took hours. Four of them, to be exact. I never knew why. It was always so much easier in class.
But now I know it was because I have ADHD. And I was burnt out.
So I barely had free time after school.
Except for art.
Art was always there for me. I could always take the time to do something. And it was easier to put down, even if it was incomplete. Because I knew I could go back to it. I didn't have to pull out and reconstruct everything again, like a puzzle. I could go right back to where I started. And that was wonderful.
So I became good at it.
I became great.
Everyone loved it. The praise, the encouragement, the delight was almost too much to bear. I learned to crave it.
And yet.
Everyone was still surprised.
When I told them I wanted to be an artist.
Because apparently.
Your "superpower" is only good if it makes you money.
And who would invest in art?
Instead of being a doctor?
The answer is me.
It's always me.
I'm the mediocre autistic person with a difficult niche.
I don't have a superpower. Or a college degree. Or baby pictures of me playing the violin.
But I'm autistic.
Isn't that enough?
Where are the people like me in the media?
I can go outside and find at least three different Neurodiverse people like me in my town. But nearly NONE in the media.
Why is that?
Do we not exist to you?
Or are we only tolerable when we've done something "productive"?
I don't have a superpower.
But that shouldn't make me less than.
I don't know why it does.

My Thoughts: Young Sheldon 7x02 A Roulette Wheel and a Piano Playing Dog
Tumblr media
Look how cute he is! Cute as a button! 😙 Awwww! Baby! It is so difficult for me to watch Sheldon struggling. Imagine being a fish out of water your entire life where your one socially acceptable trait is your intellect, which surpasses everyone’s, only to be thrown into A WHOLE OTHER COUNTRY, taking the fish metaphor to a whole other level, only to discover THE one quiver in your arsenal is utterly moot.
Damn. My poor baby string bean! But he handled it so well. He pushed through! I am proud of my Shelly! It is the aspect of why YS is better than TBBT because they allow for Sheldon to be a more complex individual and don’t treat him like a child, even though he is literally a child. The show allows circumstances to push against him, to make him stronger, and the narrative isn’t constantly belittling him as if he can’t handle life at all. It is actually quite a big deal that Sheldon was able to keep his mouth shut and humbled himself under an authority in order to learn what he needed to. And he did this by HIS choice! He listened to what those around him where telling him, and chose the wiser path. He didn’t have to be coerced, manipulated, or browbeaten into it, which was often the route TBBT took.
Well, his tutor DID use physical reinforcement, but a wrap on the hand is good for the boy. 😁
Which brings me into my next thought, I don’t think this moving back and forth from Texas and Germany is going to work really well for the storytelling. I want to see how the whole Cooper family is doing, of course, but I am primarily watching this show for Sheldon! I don’t feel like they are able to spend the amount of time necessary to really explore this experience he is having. It feels so rushed. I don’t like it. I want more time to process Sheldon’s life lessons here and how he is feeling about it. It is the same old story! This is literally one of the biggest problems with American media.
They. never. give. enough. time. to. the. story. EVER. !!!!!
🤦‍♀️ Why are you the way that you are, American Media. I hate so much everything that you choose to be.
Tumblr media
Anyway, I did love the heart to heart chat between Missy and Georgie this episode! That was so sweet! They are learning what it means to have responsibilities and that growing up requires so much thankless sacrifice. I love the bond that Missy and Georgie have, and I am glad we got to see them process this experience together. And way to go Missy for not only stepping up, growing up, and being so mature and on top of things, but she also is learning about boundaries! Damn girl! 🔥 I know Mary Cooper loves serving her family so I love that aspect about her, but the boys definitely shouldn’t leave all the house stuff to the women folk, as if they have to be served and waited on. Missy is killing it! 💪
Tumblr media
Missy and Sheldon, two sides of the same coin! I hope to talk more about that later! 😉 Now it’s time for...
My Favorite Sheldon Cooper Quotes: Sheldon: "And they laughed at me for not knowing something they knew! Who does that?!" Mary: ". . . you do." Sheldon: "This is no time for a teachable moment! Your child is hurting." Mary: "Sorry." *pats him on the arm* "There there." Sheldon: "I guess that'll do. Now how about a hot beverage?" Mary: 😑
Sheldon: “Oh! I see the problem! This is stupid! You can’t just invent dimensions. There is this one, this one, and this one.” Mei-Tung: “You forgot the dimension of time.” Sheldon: . . . Sheldon: *holds out his hand* Mei-Tung: *slaps it with a pencil* Sheldon: “Ow! . . . Thank you." Sheldon Prime: "I wanted to give up and runaway. But I had read enough comic books to know that heroes don't quit. Instead of running I decided to stay and face the biggest challenge I've ever had: keeping my mouth shut. This turned out to be a pivotal moment in my life. By being open to people smarter than me, I grew as both a man and a scientist. Humble. Brilliant. I really am the whole package!"

Pomefiore with a reader that's too honest (bit like vil???)
Like reader would judge everyone, in a negative way. They could be positive but nah <3.
They don't care about other people feelings because is not their not business.
Would roast you,how you look because why not
Let's imagine reader is very smart like young sheldon cooper: Could tell you why you don't exist and you would believe them logic
That's just me in a nutshell, Let's do it !
Content : Pomefiore has to deal with another very judgy person and that one person is the famous Simon Cowell 2.0 = reader. Let's see how long they handle it.
Warning(s) : I cuss a lot so if you wouldn't want to see such language you have the freedom to ignore this post. If you like these character so much that you refuse to see them roasted, again, ignore the post. If this is what you wanted, enjoy !
Tumblr media
Potato why is rook crying on the floor ?
And it isn't just rook this time it's the ENTIRE FUCKING DORM.
He can't handle you and your judgement especially that every time he makes one movement or breaths for a second, you just pop out of nowhere to insult his face.
"how about you eat some of your makeup ? So that you'll be pretty on the inside for once you son of a-"
"do you anything better to do, potato ?"
"No...Oh wait !"
?
"Quit trying to be smartass when all you are is a pain in the ass"
POTATO-
And of course you get away with everything because why the fuck not ?
But he sometimes enjoy your judgement when it comes to other dorm students such as epel to remind him of what is happening and how he should be acting like.
"You know Vil, your obsession over your face isn't that bad cause if laughter became a medicine, you would be curing the world right now"
FUCK YOUR HEAD AND THE NECK IT RODE ON, HE IS DONE WITH YOU IN EVERY WAY IMAGINABLE.
Tumblr media
My my someone is quite straight forward today aren't they ?
"SHUT UP ROOK THIS IS THE 800th TIME YOU'VE TOLD ME THAT TODAY I AM SICK OF IT"
*shuts up from your response and says absolutely nothing for the rest of the day, leona is grateful to you too bad you called him a cunt the last time you two interacted with each other*
you might say this is out of character for rook to be scared of someone who judges others. And it probably fucking is because I don't know shit about this man AT ALL.
besides the fact that he :
comes from Savannaclaw, leaves to be in Pomefiore, had freckles, magically got rid of them, falls in love with Vil, becomes a stalker, tries to murder people and gets away with it like a FUCKING CHAMPION, speaks French in the most illegal way possible (as a French native myself I felt threatened), loves everything and everyone (I swear to god that you will one day see him staring at a pile of shit and then straight up look at you to tell you about his kinks)
But with you being the judgmental person you are only makes him want to pry into your personal life and ask an incredible amount of inappropriate questions.
If that's not good enough for you, I DON'T KNOW WHAT IS.
Tumblr media
You two will have each other's heads. Epel is tired of your judging just popping out of nowhere and anywhere.
epel already has a bad bond with you but it only thickens as you insult the absolute fuck out of this guy. Just straight up : "epel stop sucking at everything there is something called 'swallow'"
Was that a bad roast ? It was a bad roast, I ran out of ideas once rook's part was over.
But I will keep going even if it kills me because I love your request and I'm planning on SACRIFICING MY LIFE FOR YOUR ASKS.
moving on epel had started to show signs of his naturally insane self, you both tried to choke each other once-
Don't think that this apple on chopstick didn't try to stab you in your sleep at night. I'm not exaggerating this is just what I would expect from an ordinary apple with no poison.
Sorry for this epel stans but I have decided it will be this way. Y 'all can try to murder me as much as you want I won't take it back.
APOLOGISE-
OVER MY DEAD BODY !
*feels like I shouldn't have said that because you are most likely to turn this into a reality*
Tumblr media
Thank you for reading I hope you enjoy it.

David Farland’s Writing Tips—Giving Readers Hope
Tumblr media
Nearly every novel shows a character with a big conflict. Sometimes conflicts are so vast that the tale is overwhelming.
But readers must somehow muddle through those tough times, and what is going on in the reader’s life will affect how much they can handle in a novel. Is your reader’s mother dying from cancer? Did they put a beloved pet down this week?  Is the reader out of a job? Those kinds of losses can make reading the dark passages of a novel difficult.
I saw a good illustration of this a few years ago.  A woman who had gone through a divorce wrote a beautiful passage about the challenges her character was facing as she was dumped by her husband. Many of the class members loved it and found it so affecting that they broke into spontaneous applause—but two of the women were so devastated by the passage that they fled the room in tears. Both women had recently been through divorces.
Obviously, as writers we want to touch our readers deeply. We want to hold them through our books, even during the dark passages.  How can we do this?  Here are a few thoughts…
Heroism is a family trait. In ancient Greek theater, to be a hero you had to have heroic parents. In other words, the royals had trained the peasants properly by saying, “Not just anyone can do this.” But the trick still works today. This was handled nicely in J.J. Abram’s 2009 movie “Star Trek”. When a young Captain Kirk has his ship attacked by an angry Romulan, he heroically fights off his attackers just long enough so that his young wife and child can escape the ship, and then our hero gets blown up. Of course, the baby—James T. Kirk—is the one who returns and avenges the father some 25 years later.
Sure, the formula may be 3000 years old, but it still works.
The secret power. Does your character have a unique ability—Zorro’s mastery of swordplay, young Sheldon’s sharp wit, or Rocky Balboa’s ability to take a blow? Show it early in your story, and that will give the reader hope.
Borrowed glory. When young King Henry’s troops despair in Shakespeare’s “King Henry V,” he rouses them with a classic speech. Similarly, when Frodo Baggins is unable to go on seeking the Crack of Doom, his friend Sam Gamgee offers more private support.
Tumblr media
If you have a character who must struggle, perhaps you can give them a support system—a father, mother, lover, friend, teacher, or priest—who provides an example of how to hold on to hope in dark times. Even teachings from the Bible, Muhammad, or some other source can help.
The early win. Your character is allowed to have victories, and even the smallest victory may signal hope. Let’s say you’ve got a character who is struggling to find a killer, but is coming up stumped. On a side note, for month’s she’s been trying to figure out how a mouse has been getting into her kitchen—and suddenly she discovers a tiny hole under the sink. Yeah, the mouse problem isn’t going to help her dodge bullets, but it does show that she has a fine mind and potential.
Tumblr media
Light in dark times. Many heroes cling to a hope or a dream throughout their entire story. Maybe they dream of someday owning a fishing boat or a restaurant, but often hope comes in the form of “fairy gifts,” any gift given in dark times.
Lady Galadriel gave Frodo a vial of starlight to help him through dark times, for example. This “fairy gift” is very important in fantasy literature. It’s often an object—a sword, a ring, or other item that gives its wielder a bit of help. But I like Frodo’s light. He doesn’t pull it out and look at it often, but in a sense he does. Just before he travels into Mordor, he looks up and sees a star shining above the darkness. That moment of hope is one highpoint in the novel.
We see similar scenes over and over in Lord of the Rings as the hobbits meet up with unexpected friends or have a quiet meal. Each of those reinvigorates their spirit.
Indeed, there is one scene in the Two Towers where Gollum argues with himself about whether or not he should strangle the “nice hobbits” and take the ring—a scene where even an enemy shows the potential to become a friend.
But a fairy gift can be anything.  It might be a $100 bill that dad gave his daughter before he was killed in a car wreck, and she saves it as much for sentimental value as something to help in an emergency.  It might be a gun that is loaned to a character, or a telephone number for a powerful lawyer.
As authors, we need to try to figure out just how much darkness our readers can handle, and when it is called for, offer a bit of hope.
Of course, you’ll never get a perfect balance.  You’ll always be too heart-wrenching for some readers and too much of a Pollyanna for others.  I’m convinced that this is the sole reason that no one book can satisfy all readers.

Rui idea I wrote in an abandoned fic a while ago...might make this a tiny series cause I love my baby boy.
Fem reader
Entertainment district arc!!!
But Rui had a redemption arc. Hear me out.
The details don't matter, this is fanfiction and you're the main character. You found a way to slip him onto your side.
Giyuu was baffled when you yanked on his haori and snatched Rui up. After meeting Tanjiro, not much surprised him and he had a gut feeling to just let you go. Hashira meeting was mad awkward, though, and you were sure Sanemi wanted your head on a stick. He probably did.
Having one of the twelve moons on their side was a hudge advantage. You all knew after Muzan's death he'd atone for his sins that way. So off to Lady Tamayo he went.
After the mugen train arc you finally got to see your little brother again(he insisted you called him that after you hugged him like once.)
Muzan is super pissed by the way—I love dad muzan.
Anyways the entertainment district arc comes around and Rui and Zenitsu are NOT having it. Zenitsu is convinced Tengen is trying to snatch his wife #2 (despite him already having three and you are way too young for him.) And that convinces Rui that Tengen is trying to get his filthy hands on you. He mentally thanks Tengen when he drags you and Zenitsu from the beautiful women beckoning the two of you to spend the night with them(Rui fought the urge to carve them up.)
The two of them make a temporary truce.
I like to imagine them as sheldon and his dad.
"Calm down, I'm not gonna hurt you—"
"I'm sorry, but you are too big to be gentle."
Zenitsu is cackling in the background.
"Someone at the end of the table eats for free😒"
"SOMEONE AT THE OTHER END OF THE TABLE EATS FOR THREE–"
Rui is happy once you have free time so he can spend it with you. He's kicking his legs happily as you play with his hair—no matter how many times you brush it, it just curls back up. He's not paying attention under his blanket as he rests in your lap while you give your report on the house you're in.
"Since when has dinner helped anything!? Kid were fighting demons, you little.."
"Food is healing. You should know..."
Nezuko isn't happy she has to share a box with Rui cause his somehow (Zenitsu and Tengen conspired against him) ((Zenitsu is the biggest traitor)) got smashed.
Rui is terrified of Muzan. He's scared he's gonna be taken away from you, and even worse—Muzan might kill you. Borderline hyperventilating at the idea of Muzan using other demons to hunt him down and drag him back.
You and the Komoboko trio are out cold, and all Rui can do is crawl under your limp arms, wishing his big sister would just hold him. He realized that he needs to protect his big sister as much as she protects him, too.
Humans are like glass to him, and you're the sharpest yet most fragile piece he knows.

2) Did you reread anything? What?
Flowers for Algernon, which is a book you get unhealthily attached to when you are a eleven-year-old girl with Percy Jackson LDs who has been tested for some vague spectrum disorder 2-4 times, not because adults think you're a Young Sheldon, but because people think it's funny when a dumb person can't do things the same way they can.
Also Anansi Boys, which still fucking rocks.
12) Any books that disappointed you?
I grabbed First Time For Everything out of the neighborhood book box and it speaks to how badly they're dumbing down so-called adult books by filling half the pages with text message bubbles and making allegedly adult characters talk like A Very Respectful Tumblr Post Of A Teen Who's Mom Is Making Her Get A Part Time Job Which Is Basically Abuse
Tumblr media
17) Did any books surprise you with how good they were?
I suspected The Forgotten Girls by Monica Potts would be good but it just fucking blew me away. It's nonfiction about cyclical poverty in the Ozarks and how two childhood best friends lives kind of violently Raylan-and-Boyd from each other in just a few years but it's also about how society and the education system at large fail poor women from day one. I loved it man.

Can make the reader a little autistic so like sometimes she can’t sarcasm. (I’m autistic and it’s so hard to find autistic y/n that I can relate to)
- Sorry I'm not including Sheldon it's just these two are my favorite and seem easier to write for

I’m so sorry I’m so late
Tw for church and sa and some god hate
My parents are divorced and that’s important for this. One day, on summer holidays, (I think I was twelve, maybe thirteen, I don’t know, my brain is wants me to forgot) I was spending holiday’s at my father house. I borrowed my mum’s phone for the holiday because she didn’t use it anymore and had cool games there.
But one day somone called the phone. And I picked up. It was old man, like my parents, maybe a bit older. He said that he’s friend with my parents and if I’m the little Ellie that he used to carry. I’m saying that I’m sorry that I don’t know him. My father overheard and took the phone and started talking with him. Yes, he was really my parents friend and I was the little Ellie he used to carry when I was a newborn.
And yes, he thought he was gonna call my mother because for some twisted reason he remembered that she existed. Long story short, at the end of the summer my mum and him were dating.
He had two daughters, first a year older and the second seven years younger than me.
And that’s when things went downhill. We stared living with them in the blink of an eye in my brain but I’m pretty sure that it took some time.
He was a religious man. We knew about that. But we didn’t know how he used to beat and manipulate his ex wifes ‘in the name of god’
Soon I was brought to church because as he said, I was uncontrollable and a brat. And he already manipulated my mum so it was very easy for him to do so. He genuinely believed that if he asks a god for forgiveness that god will forgive him. He was praying every night like ‘Father look at this wild child, so rebellious, she never listens to anyone and forgive for saying this, but she’s a brat, please give me the strength to handle her.’
I mean he’s right, I’m a little fight starter and I like to piss people off and I’m autistic so god doesn’t make sense to me and I was thirteen so I was literally like a Young Sheldon and his fact checking. I was questing the Bible just to make them mad and also bcs those things they were saying were in contrary with the Bible to me.
So I was called a Satan child for questioning the Bible, I was walking the wrong path and I was eaten by the darkness.
Once his youngest daughter accidentally misspelled some world and she ended saying that she has a girlfriend instead of boyfriend. They laughed it off but said to not ever be gay. So I said ‘What’s wrong with it?’. It was followed by screaming, even my mum’s, and he screamed the Bible out for me. Dragged me to church the next day and I had to listen to made up stories about how homosexuality is a sin and that I’m old enough to understand it. Then they all prayed for me so I would find my way back to light and god.
Maybe that’s the reason why he told me that I need his hands on my body, to cleanse me from sins and darkness. (I hope y’all know what this means) No, he never used a god to be a bad guy, he’s fucking crazy, has a god complex and does believe that he has some sort of power. I remember how he threw the Tv out of the window because it was the devil’s work.
Or maybe that’s something I want to believe.
It ended up with them breaking up because he said I’m way too much eaten by devil that prayers can’t save me. He used my mum, manipulated her, took her money and brain away and then left us on a street.
I’m wondering if he realises what he did. If he really uses a god to apologize his sins manipulative behavior and if he’s like all aware of it or if he really has a god complex and some psychosis and doesn’t realise any of it.
But he says that he’s a good person because he’s only following God’s words.
Anyway; since that I found the whole Christianity stupid. Because why this kid at church, maybe 4, cried to us that if he’s gonna pray maybe god will forgive him his sins? He’s a kid! Four years old! What kind of sins a kid can have?! And what kind of kind and lovely god is this shit man if he’s letting some assholes like them doing this a kid and make kids believe that they’re bad humans?
I still don’t understand what kind of gaslighting abusive faith is this but maybe im way too autistic to understand it.
Please don’t try to explain the god to me or tell me how Christianity is good, anyone who feels like they need to explain it to me, I don’t give a shit anymore and I hope y’all understand why. Also im very much stubborn and once I make my opinion you can’t change it.
Also once we left I outed myself to my mum, she almost dragged me back to church, she didn’t, but that didn’t stop her from telling me how sinful I am for MONTHS like mf never got tired of running her mouth
The religious lesbian
(anon: i'm so glad you popped back up. i just saw your question, and i wanted to assure you it was absolutely nothing you did wrong. i hope i didn't lead you to think that.
i overthink everything and it was incredibly personal, so i wasn't terribly sure if you wanted it posted publicly or not, as my invitation to share your story came with the assurance that it could remain private if you wanted.
i still have it sitting in my asks actually because i didn't know how to reach you to double check for your permission to share it!)
thank you for sharing such an intimate and difficult part of yourself. presenting without comment as not to overshadow your story <3 but i do want to say, at the very least, you deserve so much more than you got.

I've been wanting to make this for a little while now,, but I wanna know people's opinions and headcanons on the Hinata family. This is also kinda piggybacking off my last post,, Since we have seen Shoyo's mother, and we've seen Natsu, obviously, but we haven't seen his dad. I've seen a lot of stuff, yk, the regular deadbeat/not in their life, I've seen dead, I've seen divorced, etc. A hc for his dad I've never seen before tho is that he's in like jail or smth, so if anyone finds that interesting, there's that 🤷‍♂️ but I want headcanons for Hinata family angst :333 every time you search for it on here it's just "pov: y/n breaks up with shoyo :(" like no stfu and get out I don't want that,,, Anywhoooo I actually find it interesting where one of, if not both of his parents kinda suck, and I personally think if you were to create a Hinata family angst situation it'd most realistically be like Young Sheldon, in which Shoyo is Missy, fighting for attention, and Natsu is Sheldon. Not because she's smart or anything lol just because she's the baby of the family and she's favored more. I think that would make sense. He loves the attention from his teammates and gets along with players so well because he wants someone to love him. I've heard that there's a light novel where he mentions his dad working really late, which would still make sense and stuff, but tbh idk if that's real. OR OR OR his mom not having any faith in his volleyball skills, begging him not to go to Karasuno because it's so far, telling him not to be disappointed when they lose (out of pure love and concern ofc). Being too busy to go to games because she has to work to provide for him and Natsu, but just assuming they lost because it's Karasuno. A headcanon I have for his mom is that she works from home, but like from really early to really late, just so that she can be at home for Natsu because "shoyo can handle himself". He probably makes dinner for everyone, too, because his mom is so busy with work that she can't cook. He acts childish at school and with his friends because he's treated like an adult at home. And this isn't even meant to be an evil mom situation, yk? It's just that their circumstances are really unfortunate; single mom with two kids, on low income and is unknowingly putting a lot of stress onto her son. But on a lighter note, on the days she has work off, she takes shoyo and natsu to get ice cream!! She does try to be in their lives, like when shoyo brings her her dinner, she asks him how his day was (he says "good" and leaves it at that). He doesn't want to bother his mom, so he rants to his teammates and classmates (who are annoyed by this), and while she does occasionally offer to listen to him rant all about his day or his problems, he declines because she already has so much to do. That would be the main reason it's so unfortunate; he's really humble and kind and doesn't want to be a burden on his hard-working mother, but his mother doesn't try hard enough to be in his life; she asks and doesn't try any harder when he declines, as if it's not obvious he wants to say something, but is holding back. God, this started out about his father, and now it's all about his mom. Anyways! There's not enough angst fics out there, I've looked through every tag, and there's so little. God, I could make so many posts about hinata angst!!

"What's going on?" Georgie and I glanced to each other where I reached down intertwining our hands when Georgie replied simply. "It's kinda hard to talk about...we...I...I got a girl pregnant."
George senior just stares at us stunned for a few seconds mumbling out the words "Oh no" over and over. I sit on Georgie's bed watching the father and son interacting. "I messed up...what do we do?" Georgie runs his hands through his curly hair. George whipped his head around the room shocked. "Who's - Who's we exactly?" I get to my feet standing by his sons side, pulling out a pregnancy test from my pocket handing it to him. George nervously asked me. "Are you sure this isn't wrong?" Dropping my shoulders I answer him simply. "I took more than one, Mr. Cooper...it's mine...ours." I corrected the end of the sentence glancing to Georgie who nodded yes. I feel guilty now since his father once said I was a good influence on him and now I'm pregnant at 17 with his child.
"Have you told your parents yet?" George asked still shaken up he's going to have a grand baby. I nod my head fiddlimg with the fabric of my shirt nervously. "Yes they want to talk with you guys about this." George nodded sitting the test down on the bed pointing s finger to his son. "You have to tell your mother." Georgie rolls his eyes pacing back and forth. "I just told you. Why not let it sit awhile?" George and I cried in union towards his suggestion. "Georgie!" He throws his hands up in surrender as I feel myself getting sick to my stomach so I rushed to the sink throwing up. Georgie comes over holding my hair back hearing his dad still freaking out. "Ya'll are too young to have a baby." Wiping my mouth I croaked out feeling sick again. "We know...but I'm keeping it...ugh." His father goes to get Mary bringing her in and closing the door behind her when she questioned. "What's going on. Everything okay?"
George moved his hand to the bed suggesting seeing his wife eyeing him concerned. "You might want to sit. No one died." She glances our direction where Georgie nudges me but I nudged him in the arm making him tell her. "I'm...I'm gonna...I'm gonna have a baby." Mary crossed her arms over her chest shocked. "Are you kidding me?" She sits down on the bed and George sats down by her. Mary runs her hands through her hair staring up at me as I stand still rubbing my hands down my arms. "Y/n, do you know this girl. I mean as far as I know you two were still together, right?" Dropping my gaze to the floor I whispered to the woman. "I'm the one he got pregnant..." Mary covers her hands over her mouth releasing some tears down her face, slowly walking up to me taking my hands in hers. "Oh baby...You're gonna have to marry her!" She shot her head towards Georgie basically demanding him.
"She's not marrying him!" George shouted back to his wife making her annoyed throwing her hands out. "What do you mean no. He got her pregnant. What choices do they have!" Georgie slumped down in a chair as I leaned my back against the wall. He reaches for my hand giving me a small smile that I give back until someone knocked on the door. "Hello." It's Sheldon so Mary called out. "We're just in here talkin'." He responded back. "I was just wondering where everyone was." She looks back at us. "Everything okay?" He mentioned Missy watching a bad movie before leaving. "So we're gonna have to talk to you're parents and uh - sort this out." Mary holds her hands up until I hear my stomach grumbling for food. Walking through the door I grab some Tatter tots from the fridge that were leftover sitting down in the swing on the front porch until Georgie comes around the corner.
He sits down at my side resting his hands on his knees eyeing the food in my hands. "Cravings?" I nod poping some in my mouth offering him some but he pushed the bag back to me. "You eat'em. I'm sorry about all this...I should've waited-" I cut him off before he started blaming himself. "Georgie stop. How many times must I say I don't regret what we did. That we're gonna have a baby. I love you." He lays his head on my shoulder for a second then lifts his up letting me rest my head on his shoulder. The next time I open my eyes I stretched my arms seeing we're still on the porch swing. Georgie groaned blinking has eyes opened helping me up. "Crap, we accidentally fell asleep." I groaned popping my back opening the door seeing Missy and Sheldon on the couch, with a pees on her right hand. "What happened to you?" Georgie asked where she shakes her head trying to lie. "Nothing."
"She hit a boy in the face at Sunday school." Sheldon blurted out looking away from his book. Closing my eyes I tip my head back sighing. "Missy why..." She looks up at me pressing the pees to her hand not feeling bad about what she did. "He was saying crap about our family and he called Y/n a...bitch." Georgie dropped his arms at his sides shaking his head. "You can't go around hittin' people." She stares at me as I give her a weak smile. I'm always the one to encourage her to beat the boys in baseball. But this isn't one of those times. "I had to do somethin'. Wouldn't you have defended the girl you love. Besides she's my best friend." Georgie runs a hand down his face while I see a commercial for Dairy Queen on the TV instantly wanting a Chilli cheese dog. Oh boy Pregnancy Cravings. "I don't want you gettin' in trouble for me or for her...promise me."
He begged her and she nodded before I called out to the three. "Hey, the baby wants Dairy Queen who wants to go?" Missy raised her hand and Georgie grabbed the keys eyeing Sheldon. "You wanna come, Sheldon?" He started to respond as I exited Georgie's room wearing one of his old shirts since the other one had food stains on it. "You can bring your homework in the truck." He jumped up heading outside with Missy following. Georgie takes draped his arm over my shoulder when we walked outside. "So any Cravings for ice cream, I'll buy darlin'?" Laying my head against his chest I bit my lip replying. "Yes definitely ice cream and...unfortunately a cheeseburger with pickles." He blinked confused helping me in the truck. "But you hate those." Throwing my head back I moaned in annoyance. "I know!"

A Little Bit About Me
Thanks for the tag, @bergiesims (´。• ω •。`) I filled this out a while ago- and it's kinda fun to see how my answers have stayed the same or changed lol
Last Song: Blackway & Black Caviar - "What's Up Danger" - I've been listening to my DnD group's Curse of Strahd playlist for hype and inspo as we're about to pick up the campaign after a long hiatus.
Favorite Color: Black... it goes with everything! 🖤but I also like colors, so it's hard to narrow it to one.
Currently Watching: Hubs and I just finished another watch-through of Community last night. So we're in between shows. We're giving Young Sheldon a try.
Last Movie: The Mario Movie? I think it was the Mario Movie. It was cute! I liked it more than I thought I would.
Currently Reading: Ooooh! This one I'm excited to update! Remember the first time when I mentioned I was on book two, Valor, aka the Faithful and Fallen series by John Gwynne? Well, I'm really proud to share this update... I'm on book 4, Wrath, and the last and final book of the series. Honestly, the series is just as good as when I started. I still stand by my first review, that you'll likely enjoy this series if you're a GoT (Game of Thrones) fan.
Sweet/Spicy/Savory: Yes.
Last Thing I Googled: LMAO. "John Gwynne malice TV series" because I wasn't sure how to spell his last name, hahaha, and I wanted to see if there was any chance of this becoming live-action or animated (I think the Faithful and Fallen series would make a fantastic anime tbh) and down a rabbit hole I went. 。゚゚(」。≧□≦)」
Current Obsession: Working on the Burb Household story comics, playing LoZ: Tears of the Kingdom, and creating a new DnD character for The Wild Beyond the Witchlight campaign.
Currently Working On: See above? Finishing what I start >.< I just finished BG3 (finally), and now I'm working on TotK and a crochet project for my grandma. I have many things I'm working on, but most of my attention is on this blog and my stories.
Simmers I'd Like to Know Better: As usual, no pressure. Feel free to ignore, refill out if it's been a while, or whatever you fancy! If I didn't tag you, but you'd like to answer this- consider reading this tag! You're welcome to say I tagged you, and I'll even come back and add your name to my list ;) @fairycele95 @basma-sama @box-of-sims @aleksa-sims @illuminated-foxx @frostedshore

miss lolly i never thought id say these words but. i want the young sheldon spoilers (if nothing else id expect fucking ATOMIC retconning/continuity issues)
So the whole point of this show was to wring all the comedy potential out of the premise of taking Sheldon and making him an 8 year old prodigy attending highschool in 1980s Texas. Unfortunately they forgot to add the comedy part. But. Yknow. It was standard television. I always get annoyed when I see people trashing on young sheldon when I know they've never actually watched it because they're not trashing it for the right reasons. Its not bad for the reasons you'd expect. Its bad because its boring. It is so SO boring. Its insane how boring and mundane it is. Its a show revolving around baby bazinga but they managed to make it so mild numbingly underwhelming.
But....I would say that the first few seasons were probably the strongest. it was never particularly outlandish. Just basic slice-of-life stuff yknow? Every episode just revolved around Sheldon having some miniscule problem and blowing it way out of proportion. His family were mostly supporting characters, written for the sake of dealing with how eccentric Sheldon is. He's got an overly religious mom, a surprisingly level-headed dad, a snarky grandma, a dumbass teenage brother and a sassy twin sister.
This was the era of it being Sheldon's world and we're all living in it.
However it is currently 6 seasons in and here's a run-down of what's currently happening.
So during season 4 (or maybe 5 I have forgotten the order of events) the family begins financially struggling, which is only made worse when Dad gets fired from his job. I think there was this gradual build of tension between Mom and Dad across the season until they eventually blow up at each other in a big nasty fight and Dad admits that he's deeply unsatisfied with the way his life has turned out, including his marriage and family. Then he storms off to the bar where he starts drinking with his recently divorced female next door neighbour.
The season ends on a cliffhanger to lead the audience to believe he's gonna cheat on his wife. He doesn't. But he and ms neighbour both consider it. Which leads to the most insufferable plot point that they refuse to let go of for two more seasons, so he's probably gonna sleep with her eventually. He feels guilty for considering it. She does too. Which leads to them avoiding each other, having secret little rendezvous where they talk about how guilty they feel for considering it, lots of awkward sexual tension undertones. I'm so sick of it I hope he hurries up and cheats on his wife so this shit can end.
MEANWHILE there's the other slow building infidelity subplot with Sheldon's uptight Christian mom who believes everything is a sin. So she works at her local church and they happen to hire a new pastor. And after a few episodes of becoming closer friends, Sheldon's mom starts having sex dreams about him. Also he is like over a decade younger than her. This is another subplot that has been dragging on for over a season I am so tired. I need her to know this pastor carnally already I can't take this anymore.
But the most utterly batshit morally reprehensible plotpoint that is currently happening is whatever Sheldon's dumbass teenage brother's got going on. So basically, he's currently 17. He met this 29 year old woman, lied to her and said he was in his 20s so he could fuck her. Which he did. Then his grandma found out and bullied him into telling her the truth. Which he did. And she was understandably horrified because why the fuck WOULDNT she be?? And she makes it very clear that she never wants to see his face again.
That's when she learns that she's pregnant. And considering she's working as a waitress, doesn't have a lot of money, eventually gets evicted from her apartment and is cut off from her parents, the show forces her into a position where she has to depend on Sheldon's Dumbass Brother and his family for support. They kinda make her situation and dynamic with him into a joke?? Like she hates him and wants nothing to do with him and is trying to keep him at arms length throughout the course of her pregnancy, while the narrative frames him as this sweet charming attentive boy who just wants to help her and be a good dad to their future baby, and he's still constantly treating her as his girlfriend, giving her cheek kisses and calling her pet names etc. Basically she's kinda roped into integrating into Sheldon's family unit. Like it's trying to play off her growing relationships with them as cute and wholesome, while not really acknowledging that she has no other option but to depend on these people and it's still very VERY nonchalant about the extremity of how Dumbass Teenage Brother has wronged her. She's gradually beginning to warm up to him again and it's. Ew.
Oh and also she's being constantly guilted and pressured into marrying him before the baby is born because Sheldon's mom, who wants to know the 25 year old pastor carnally, is very insistent about the baby not being born out of wedlock. Its a mess.
Oh and also Sheldon's grandma and dumbass teenage brother also run an illegal gambling den behind a laundermat. I forgot that part.
And Sheldon is....also there. He hasn't seemed to notice that his whole family is falling apart yet. Most of his subplots remain just as low stakes as they were 6 seasons ago. He gets a 98% on a test and beefs with the teacher about it. I think the writers are sick of him at this point.
AND, with all these deranged plot points in mind, the show STILL manages to be so so SO fucking boring. I don't know how but they manage it.
