Billy had begun to doze off in the warmth of the gathering dusk, so when he heard her voice saying his name, he was startled. He swung round to where she was standing behind him then leapt up and went to her, folding her into his arms and just hugging her, saying nothing.
After a few short moments, she pushed back from him and stepped away, began walking towards the hotel. “I’m going to take a shower, Billy. Then I think we should go somewhere and eat. And talk,” she said over her shoulder.
“Okay, sweetheart, I’ll be here waitin’ on you.”
At least she let me hug her, he thought.
»»————————————-———- ⚜ ———————————-————-««
Walking out of the hotel and across the courtyard after your shower, you saw Billy lying flat out across the park bench, boots on the ground and long legs bent at the knees where the seat ended. His eyes were closed and you realised he’d dozed off.
“Billy.” No response. “Billy!” slightly louder. Still no movement. You reached out a hand, shook his shoulder and jumped slightly when his hand shot out and grabbed your wrist. His dark brown eyes were wide open now and staring up at you, and he immediately let go of you. “Ahhh… sorry sweetheart, didn’t realise it was you.” “Spidey senses not working any longer, Marine?” He grinned up at you, before moving and standing up next to you. “You’re to blame, kitten. I’m losing sleep over you.”
You scoffed, “Uhuh. Sure you are. Well, let’s get this show on the road. I’ve got a rec from the reception guy for dinner.” You turned and started walking quickly towards the alleyway, Billy taking only two long strides to catch up with you. “Where we headed?” “Just a little way along the waterfront, past that big church - Il Redentore. There’s a restaurant with tables right next to the water, called ‘I Figli delle Stelle’. Means ‘Children of the Stars’.” You’d turned your head towards him as you spoke and he smirked at you, “Sounds romantic, angel.” Eye roll from you, “That wasn’t my intention, believe me. The reception guy said it would still be pretty quiet at this time of the evening, later on it’ll get busy as the locals eat dinner around 9.30 or 10 pm.”
“Oh, okay,” he said, sounding a little despondent, “I hear ya.” The two of you walked in single file as you made your way through the alleyway, and Billy hurried to get back next to you as you turned right at the waterfront. There was a tense silence as you walked, and you surely weren’t going to be the one to break it. You could tell that Billy was antsy as hell and you were glad… he should be, the big douchebag. After a few moments, he asked, “How much further is this place?” like a kid on a day trip. “I think it’s that group of tables along there,” you answered, “so only a couple of minutes.” Billy wasn’t the most patient of men. “Okay,” he mumbled.
Lordy, he was getting more tense by the minute, you could feel negative energy coming off him in waves. You knew Billy, knew he’d be dreading talking about what he’d done, his feelings, having to (no doubt) apologise over and over. Serves you right, you big bastard, you thought.
Arriving beside the restaurant tables, you noted that only two tables were occupied so you should be able to have a certain amount of privacy in which to hear Billy’s confession. Checking for ‘reserved’ signs, you chose a table in the row right next to the water, well away from the other patrons. The maitre d’ appeared next to you holding two menus, and you asked in Italian if it was okay to sit at the table you’d chosen. Assured that it was fine, he asked if you wanted to order drinks and you asked for a large glass of rosé Prosecco and a Peroni for Billy. As he nodded and walked away, Billy asked, “Whaddya order for me?” You started laughing and he stared at you, puzzled. “Billy… with a last name like Russo I cannot believe you don’t know that Peroni is an Italian beer!”
He looked shamefaced, “Yeah, yeah, okay! So I’m a terrible Italian-American. Thanks for orderin’ a beer for me, not in the mood for wine.” You and Billy began reading through the menu, suitably impressed by the delicious-sounding dishes on offer. The drinks appeared shortly afterwards, and you made your choices - Billy had decided on a steak, and you’d chosen seafood linguine. You clinked your glass to Billy’s beer bottle, “Salut.” Billy grinned, “Yeah, so here’s me - the Italian-American - and there’s you, the all-American girl, Italian rollin’ off your tongue. I didn’t know you spoke it, sweetheart.” You smirked at him as you sipped your chilled Prosecco, “Seems like there’s a lot of things you don’t know about me, Billy. Like… how I will not tolerate cheating in any way, shape or form.”
A pained look crossed his face. Yeah, Billy… time to spill.
»»————————————-———- ⚜ ———————————-————-««
Billy took a long swig of his beer and cleared his throat. Here goes nothing, he thought. She was studying his face like it was a painting hanging in a gallery.
“I’ve been an asshole.”
She nodded, “I know you have, Billy. Cheating 1.01 - don’t lie about working late and then come home smelling of booze and another woman’s perfume. Oh… and a big smear of her lipstick on the inside collar of one of your shirts.” He winced, looking away, not able to meet her eyes. He twirled the beer bottle round a few times on the table top and finally met her gaze again. “Yeah, not smart, I agree. But… angel, I didn’t actually cheat on you. Not as such.”
She laughed, but it was not a happy sound. “Not as such?! What the fuck is that supposed to mean?” He reached across and put his hand over hers, but she pulled hers away. “Frankie and I got into some shit with Homeland - to do with Afghanistan back when we were servin’.” He saw her eyebrows rise, and hurried on, “We sorted alla-that out with them, but had to agree to carry out a joint operation with them on somethin’ related to it. We found out that our liaison agent - Dinah Madani - was holdin’ back some critical information from us and we needed to know what and why, and make sure she didn’t do it in future.”
Taking a sip of her Prosecco she laughed, again without humour. “Don’t tell me, she wears Eternity.” He looked at her, confused, “What?” “Her perfume, Billy, her perfume.” He shrugged, “I really dunno.” “That’s not good, Billy. She’ll be expecting you to buy her some for her birthday.” He’d been drinking his beer and he brought the bottle back down with a bang. “No! I won’t be buyin’ anything for her anytime, okay?” he hissed at her, aware that the other diners’ heads had turned towards them at the loud noise his beer bottle had made on the table top. He leant in further towards her but then spotted the waiter heading their way with their plates, and moved back in his seat.
Silence fell again, even after the waiter had gone. Napkins unfolded and placed on laps, cutlery picked up, sips of drinks taken, first forkfuls of food eaten, gazing at Venice across the canal.
Billy cut another piece of his fillet steak, looking down at his plate while saying in a low voice, “I knew Madani had the hots for me. An’ I… I used that to my advantage.”
»»————————————-———- ⚜ ———————————-————-««
You were thoughtfully chewing your mouthful of linguine, swallowing it before picking up your flute of Prosecco and sipping from it. He was silent, also chewing, still not meeting your eye. Let him pick this back up, you thought and sat back slightly, silent.
His eyes slowly raised to yours, apprehension apparent in them. Another throat clearing, another swig of beer…. a big one. Oh ho, you thought, whatever was about to come out must be really bad. You were mad at him but at the same time couldn’t deny you were dreading what you were about to hear.
“I… uh.. took her out a few times for drinks after work. Made out with her a couple times after we left the bar…” he gulped visibly, “Uh… felt her up, let her feel me up.” He broke eye contact, grabbed the beer bottle again and took a huge drink, muttering “Sorry, I’m really sorry,” before looking fearfully at you once more. You stared back at him and hoped your face was expressionless. You actually wanted to smack him in the face and stalk off back to your hotel, but that masochistic streak goaded you to say, “Oh yeah? ….And?” He narrowed his eyes, “And what?” “Exactly, Billy - and what? You’re seriously telling me that was it? It stopped right there?” He nodded vigorously, “Yeah! Yes, sweetheart - it did, I swear!”
Picking up your glass once more, you said in a low voice, “Sorry, Billy, I don’t believe you. I think you took her to some shitty motel and the two of you fucked. Maybe more than once.” His face flushed but then you realised he was angry, not caught out in a lie.
“No,” he said between gritted teeth, “I. Did. Not!” emphasising each word with a thump of his hand on the table. He leant across the table until his face was very close to yours, “It was my stupid fucked-up version of a honey trap, okay! I hated lyin’ to you, angel, and I’m so, so sorry I did that, but I was between a rock and a hard place. I had to find out what her game was. I don’t trust her an inch and I think she’s still after me an’ Frankie for somethin’ else that went down in Kandahar.”
You watched his eyes become distant, and you knew in his head he was back in that hellhole. “Seems like a helluva lot went down in Kandahar,” you said quietly, and his eyes refocused on yours. “Oh, sweetheart, you have no idea,’ he said softly, and chanced placing his hand on yours again. This time you didn’t draw away. “I don’t want you to have to hear all about that shitshow, but I’ll tell you another time… if you want me to.” He laced his fingers through yours, and squeezed your hand, “I promise you, on my life, that I’ll never lie to you again. Total honesty, I swear.”
»»————————————-———- ⚜ ———————————-————-««
You sighed, “Billy… I appreciate the sentiment, I do… but it doesn’t matter because we’re not together any more.” Billy rocked backwards as if you’d slapped him, and he stuttered, “But.. but we.. I… no! We are! We are still together!” You shook your head, “Maybe you don’t think that what you did with - what was her name again, Madani?” (you absolutely knew what her name was) “yeah, Madani - was cheating but Billy, you kissed her, you got up close and personal with her. You let her think you were interested in her, that she had a shot of getting with you. Okay you say you didn’t sleep with her, maybe you didn’t - but you still went behind my back and acted like you wanted to be with her. How can you expect me to be with you after you betrayed me like that? I don’t share, Billy - even if it’s fake.”
His eyes were wide, filling with tears. “No…please. Don’t say that, please. I… I can’t be without you, you’re the only one who makes me feel safe and… loved.” He placed his other hand on top of your joined hands, and his voice was so low you almost couldn’t hear it, “I love you, angel. So much.”
Now it was your turn to sit back abruptly in your seat. You and Billy had never had that conversation. You loved him but you’d made sure never to tell him that, as you didn’t believe he’d ever reciprocate the feeling. And now he’d said it. First. Before you had.
But did he mean it? Or just saying it to try and stop you breaking up with him?
»»————————————-———- ⚜ ———————————-————-««
He saw her taking in what he’d just said. He’d known that he loved her for some time but couldn’t get the words past his lips, he’d been shit-scared to say it out loud. Just let the status quo prevail, until she’d left him.
He was not going to let her break up with him. He just wouldn’t allow it, he needed her. She still had not said anything so he laid a finger on her bottom lip and gently ran it back and forward. He sensed he needed to say something more.
“I’m not just sayin’ it for effect, angel. I’ve been in love with you for a while but I’ve been too scared to say anything, I… I wasn’t sure you felt the same way.” She was still gazing at him, her eyes wide and looking a little teary. He felt a tear running down his own cheek and wiped it away abruptly. “Please don’t break up with me, just…. don’t, please. Give me another chance, I promise I won’t screw up this time.”
He heard her draw in a big breath and his stomach knotted. What was she going to say?
»»————————————-———- ⚜ ———————————-————-««
“Oh Billy….” you raised a hand and wiped away another tear from his cheek, “I… need a little time to take all this in, okay? I thought it was quite straightforward - you’d cheated on me, end of story. And don’t think that because you tell me you love me I’m gonna forget about what you did, because I can’t. Not just like that.” You snapped your fingers in the air. “But you’ve really muddied the waters for me now.”
Billy grinned tearfully at you, “Well, I’m glad I’ve managed to do that at the very least. Means I might still have a chance.” You must’ve looked sceptical or something because he rushed to say, “A very slim chance, I know.”
Sighing, you extricated your hands from his and picked up your fork. “Let’s finish our dinner before it gets totally cold and inedible and we can talk more later.”
He nodded, “Okay, sweetheart. Must admit, I’m starvin’.” You couldn’t stop yourself smiling at him, “When they say that an army marches on its stomach, they weren’t kidding, were they?” “Hell no they weren’t,” he grinned back at you.
You moved on to small talk and once dinner was finished and paid for a short while later, the two of you strolled back to the hotel. Billy had tucked your hand into the crook of his elbow, and you’d let him. Your brain wasn’t really functioning at normal speed at that point and you were looking forward to getting back to your room; you wanted to think very carefully about what you were going to do about Billy.
Back at the hotel, you made your way past Reception and headed for the stairs, Billy following close behind you. Reaching your door, you didn’t unlock it but turned to face him. You could see the hopeful look on his face but he was going to be disappointed. You weren’t going to take that step tonight, no matter how much you missed Billy, his arms around you, his body next to yours, legs tangled together. You gave him a small smile, and you saw the hope fading out of his eyes.
You put a hand on his arm, “Let’s spend some time together tomorrow. I want to visit the Lagoon islands.”
»»————————————-———- ⚜ ———————————-————-««
The Lagoon islands? He had no idea what or where those were, but he’d go to the moon if she wanted to because she’d said they could spend some time together. “So, no more running out on me, angel?” She smiled more widely at him, “No, not for now, Billy.”
He took a chance and pulled her into his arms, his mouth finding hers in a heated kiss. She didn’t stop him, so one hand made its way to the back of her neck and the other down onto her waist. He pushed his hips into hers - he knew she felt his arousal - and he was still holding out a tiny bit of hope that she’d invite him into her bed.
But now she did pull away, laughing up at him and giving him a quick soft kiss on the cheek, “G’night, Billy, sleep well.” He shook his head, smiling back at her, “You know I won’t… not in this state,” gesturing at his zip area and the tightened fabric of his jeans. She waggled her right hand at him, “Isn’t that what this is for?” He grabbed it, guiding it immediately to his zip, “If you’re offerin’, sweetheart, I’d be more than happy to take you up on that.” “Your hand! Not mine, you cheeky devil!” she laughed, pulling her hand away from him, “Now, goodnight! I’ll see you in the morning, downstairs for breakfast at about 8 or half past, okay?” He nodded, pushing his luck again and stroking her cheek, kissing her once more but more reserved this time, “G’night, angel, have sweet dreams…of me.” Rolling her eyes, she unlocked her door and disappeared into her room.
Billy walked jauntily along the corridor, throwing in a couple of dance moves as he went, feeling elated. He was feeling really optimistic for the first time since the day he’d seen her ‘Goodbye’ note and the torn photo.

Liyue is a prosperous city that attracts many and all sorts of people from business-related work to thieves who wish to earn extra cash. Everyone goes to Liyue with something on their mind that they hope to find in the city. There's even you- a normal person and a vision user- who came to Liyue all the way from Qingce village to look for a job. Everyone in Liyue all came with different reasons, but was all tied to Liyue.
Originally, your goal was to make enough money for a lifetime and then return to the mountains and help the elderly care for the fields and other needed work. That's just how your character was, but then an unforeseen event occurred and now you were in Liyue for a person.
"(Y/N), can you go pick up a batch of qingxin flower near Qingyun Peak? I'd ask Qiqi, but I sent her already to look for another herb." Baizhu enters the back room where you were sorting out the herbs in alphabetical order. "Sure, Dr. Baizhu. I'll do it right after I'm done these," you said.
"Thank you, (Y/N). Sorry for troubling you. I would go if I was fit for such exhausting travels, but you know how weak my body is," he said and you nod in understanding. He was the great doctor, but can't even heal his own illness. You didn't care about that as it wasn't your business and depart for the pharmacy when you were done at the back.
Looking at the sky above you and the position of the sun, you could tell that you will return late at night even when you run. You left from the sight of the city with only a satchel for the flowers. It was dangerous, yes, but you can fully protect yourself just as Qiqi can with her petite stature.
You were exhausted even before seeing a qingxin flower, but you did not stop. If you did, you'd have to camp the night out in the wilderness and that was something you were never fond of. Right now, you could tell that it was somewhere 3-4 in the afternoon- soon to be evening- and you departed from Liyue around 10 in the morning. "Please, Geo Lord, let me find these flowers soon," you say a quick prayer before stepping foot in the mountain area.
As if Rex Lapis had heard your little prayer, you found enough to satisfy Baizhu for two weeks at least, but the time it took was too long and by the time you decided it was enough, it was seven at night. You cried when you thought about how long it took just to reach the outer edge of Jeuyun Karst. "No! I am not camping out here!" you say out loud and determinedly made your way down the mountains- a bit slower when descending- and use what little energy you had with your determination to push dismiss your aching feet.
However, it seems that Rex Lapis didn't allow your travel back to be safe as you were soon facing a Lawachurl. "For the love of..!" Your sword appeared on your right hand and made sure that the satchel was sealed shut before engaging to fight the beast.
The beast, although bigger and most likely stronger than you, had a slower reaction time and decided to use that as an advantage so you dodge its fists and jump when he smashes the ground, but then, a sudden jolt of pain shot through your whole body when a stone came at you. You dodged it by a hair's length but collapsed soon afterwards. "My damn feet..!" Your body- especially your legs- was exhausted from the nonstop walk which made your reflexes a bit slower.
The lawachurl made it's slow approach towards you with its towering stature. You thought of a quick escape, but you just needed your body to co-operate with you. "Come on. Move!" You were pushing your exhausted legs past its limits, but knew it was your end when it raised its two arms that was to crush your smaller frame.
Your body suddenly jolts with energy and you found yourself suspended in air. You took this chance and use your vision to enhance your sword and bash the lawachurl's head open. It cried out as you jump away from it and watch as it disintegrated like any other wretched beast. You were left panting and scratched up, but you were happy that none of the flowers had fallen out.
"Ho~ What's a beauty doing out here so late at night?" A voice suddenly made its way to your ears and turned to your right, your sword blocking your body. The owner of the voice suddenly appeared before you and clashed his make-shift weapon with yours in an instant. "Oh? You've got quick reflexes even when you're exhausted. I should praise you for that."
"What are you doing?" you say through gritted teeth and push your sword. Then to your relief, the person jumps back a couple metres away, their weapon disappearing, and you sighed as you collapsed on the ground, your sword disappearing. "Haha, sorry to scare you. I was passing by and saw that a beauty was in a pickle," they said. "I was deciding whether or not if I should help you out, but you already took care of it." They shrug and puts their hands on their waist and grins at you.
You look at the person before you with a cautious gaze. They were male with ginger hair, blue eyes, and foreign clothing, and by the looks of it, he was somewhere near your age. "So, you're saying that you saw me, but didn't bother on helping me right away?"
The male looks at you and shrugs again. "I was going to help you since you're cute, but like I said- you already took care of it."
"And if I wasn't cute, you'd just leave me here to die!?" You were exhausted, but still manage to pull the look of disbelief. You waited for a reply, but instead, got a change of topic. "Anyway, what are you doing here so far from safety?" he asks and made his way towards you, his weapon out of sight as to not make you alert.
"None of your business," was all you could say in your exhausted state. "Ouch, no need to be so cold," the male says, though not even trying to mask hurt. You were tired of talking to the irritatingly brunette and wanted to return to the pharmacy. Slowly, you pushed yourself off the ground and took a step slowly. But, your body failed in fulfilling that and you fell forward and into the arms of the man, his hands holding your arms out of reflex. "Oh, don't tell me you've fallen for me now--" He stopped his teasing when he noticed that you were out cold. "Ah, what am I going to do?"
-
When you awoke, you found yourself facing a ceiling and feel the the comfort of a soft pillow and mattress and a warm blanket covering your body. You slowly sat up, hissing at the soreness and pain that washed over your body with a now conscious mind. The first thing you notice when looking at your hands and arms was that they were bandaged up and even feel a bandage on your left cheek.
"Good morning, sleeping beauty. It's about time you woke up," an irritating voice comes and greet you and chuckles. You recalled the fight with the lawachurl and the brunette who suddenly jumped out of nowhere and pick a fight with you. You turn your head to the right and see the same brunette at a small table, sipping his drink. The sun shone from behind him which made him look as if he was glowing. Now that it was daytime, you can properly see his face and was almost taken aback by how charming he looked.
He could see how your irises expanded at the sight of him which made him smirk. "Oh? You suddenly interested in me now?" he teasingly say and you suddenly broke out from the trance you were in just now. "Don't joke around with me," you said, remembering to what you has awoke to. "Anyway, where did you bring me?"
"Straight to the question with such a demanding tone. That's quite new to me," the brunette says. "Anyway, you can call me Childe, but I rather you call me babe." He chuckles which really upset you and you didn't mask to hide your frown. "I don't care who you are. I want to know where I am."
He looks at you and sighs. "Man, you're going to be a difficult one, aren't you? We are at Wangshu Inn," he finally answers. "I don't know where you live so I brought you here and bandaged you up. On that note, you should thank me."
You looked at your hands and then at the brunette who rested his cheek on the back of his hands and a leg crossing over the other, grinning cheekily at you. "Thank you." You got up, your body still aching from the fight. You see that you were still fully clothed and you mentally sighed out of relief before snatching your satchel on the nightstand beside the bed and leaving the room and soon the inn.
"(Y/N), I was worried when you didn't return last night and was about to send Qiqi to help you," Baizhu greets you at the pharmacy. "Qiqi was worried," Qiqi greets as well, wrapping her arms around your legs as a mean for a hug.
"Sorry, Doctor Baizhu. I had ran into some trouble and was tired to walk back last night," you said. "Oh, and I gathered a lot of qingxin flower for you." You took off the satchel off your shoulders and handed it to the doctor. "Hope these are enough."
"I'm sure it is. Thank you, (Y/N)," he said and puts the satchel full of qingxin flowers on the counter. "Alright, why don't you go ahead and rest for two days to heal your wounds? He looks over at your bandaged arms and face. You were grateful and thanked him before leaving the pharmacy.
-
The second day, your body wasn't hurting as much, but your wounds were still wrapped up in bandages which you changed when you got home. You found yourself lacking of food so you were out early in the morning on grocery shopping. "Ham.. Eggs.. Milk.." you read your list loud enough just for you to hear. But, since your eyes were glued onto the thin sheet of paper, you didn't notice a person suddenly appear before you and block your way before bumping into their chest.
"Ah, my apologies. I wasn't looking ahead," you say and rub your nose. "Hoh~ Well, what do you know? I thought you looked familiar and I was correct. Seems like we meet again." The all too familiar voice spoke above you, making you freeze up on the spot.
Slowly, you raise your head and see none other than the male from two days ago. "Is it just me or are we possibly fated to be together? Do you remember my name?" he asks, a grin forms on his charming face. "I'm afraid I don't," you said half-heartedly and excused yourself before brushing shoulders with him as you walk away. But, he grabs your elbow and stops you from walking any further. You look over your shoulders and give him the 'what gives' kind of look. "Well, since you forgot, I'll remind you again; my name is Childe," he says and leans close to your face. His eyes were a deep blue even under the light and felt as if you were drowning under water, where the water was an alluring colour of a pretty, deep blue. You were mesmerized, but notice that there was more to what the little pond you had found in his ocean eyes which made you much alert. Childe notice the fiery flames in your eyes suddenly on guard and he chuckles before straightening up.
"So, what's your name?" he asks. "I'm sorry, but I don't believe we're on the comfortable terms to know each other's names, sir," you stated. Your words are constructed to be polite, but your tone says otherwise. "Aw, you're going to play it the hard way with your saviour?" He forces a pout that was definitely not going to make you feel guilty so you stood there just staring at the brunette. He laughs and puts a hand on his hip. "Very well, I will do whatever I can to make you tell me your name."
You were about to turn your head and walk away, when a voice rang out across the streets. "Master Childe~" A high-pitched, flirtatious voice calls his name, drawing you both behind him. By the way they dressed, you could immediately tell that the female before you two was one of the many scums that could be found in large cities and that being said, you know exactly what kind of person the man whom called himself Childe is like.
"Master Childe, I've found you~ Did you know how sad I was when you didn't show up for two days?" The female clung onto the male's arm, completely dismissing your presence. Now that he was distracted, you took this chance to slip away from him and do your grocery shopping.
However, just because you slipped away today, didn't mean you slipped away forever or that you can do it the next time, and with that in mind, Childe was seen hanging around you- well, more like pestering you. But, with time, you soon came to accept the fact that the man wouldn't stop any time soon and told him your name and exchange words with him.
Of course, you had your doubts and had your guard up around him, seeing as he had a scum following him around almost daily, but you soon realize that you could see past the one part of him that didn't make up even one percent of him.
In months, you felt something in your chest that you know was wrong, but you couldn't help it as it dealt with him.
"Hey, (Y/N), wanna go on a little date for dinner?" Childe asks, approaching you out on the streets. When he said 'date' you know that it wasn't an actual date; it was a thing he said meaning to buy you lunch or dinner as a friend.
"You'll have to wait for an hour for me to get off work," you said, making your way up the steps of the pharmacy. "That's not long at all, apropos to getting your name, that is. I can wait," he said and gives you one of his dorky grin. You shooed him away and he did just that, off to reserve a seat for the two of you.
The hour felt long and made you impatient that it even shows. Baizhu looks over at you and smirks, knowing the reason had to be related to the young man he had been seeing occupying most of your time and mind. "(Y/N), since your shift is close to an end, why don't I let you go now? It makes no difference and Qiqi is here to help out if needed," Baizhu said, seeing as you face light up. "Really? Thank you so much Doctor!" you cheer, not even hiding the fact that you were indeed impatient to see Childe. You made haste around the counter and leave the pharmacy.
"Where is (Y/N)?" Qiqi asks, coming out from the back of the building, holding some sort of plant. "She just left, Qiqi," Baizhu answers and see that Qiqi became sad and pouted. "Qiqi was going to ask her if she'd search for the cocogoat with Qiqi.." Baizhu chuckles and put a hand on top of the little girl's head. "Sorry, Qiqi, but she's on a date."
"A date? What do you mean?" With that, Baizhu was now occupied trying to explain to the best he could as to what a date meant in the said case.
Just a few metres in front of you, you see Childe's back towards you as he chatted with a Liyue local. You were about to call out his name when a girl suddenly steps into view, blocking you from getting close to Childe. "So, you're the one hanging around Master Childe, huh?" was the first thing she said and looks at you up and down in disgust. "I don't get it. I mean, you don't even got the parts to be Master Childe's best."
Oh dear.. You know the girl all too well as she was the one you saw running to Childe and throwing herself at him. Childe has many more of the scums around him, but this one was around him the most. You bet that she brawled with the other scums because she wants Childe all to herself- well, his money.
"Hey, look, I'm going to be really nice here and tell you politely to leave Master Childe alone. He doesn't have time to loiter around someone who's body is of no use," she says and gives you a wicked grin, putting a hand on her hip to show dominance. You were unfazed and gave her a blank expression. "I'm sorry, but who are you to decide who I can and can not hang out with?" you ask.
"Hah, don't get on my bad list, girlie. Just so you know Master Childe slept with me the most," she states proudly. The words did hurt you, but it didn't make you cave into a cowardice. You kind of guessed he has slept with many women, considering how he had scums all over him. "Okay, I get that you're a scum, but you haven't answered my question."
You could see that the girl was already breaking and you couldn't help but snicker at how easy she was. "Listen here, I bet you haven't even gotten a taste of what Master Childe can do, considering how small your breast is," she laughs, looking at your average ones. "And I bet once he's gotten a taste of you, he'd be done and leave you."
You honestly didn't know where this conversation was going, but you stayed calm and hear her. "Oh? Then, tell me how I should please him to make him stay with me for- let's say.. Forever?" You cross your arms, still not letting her get to you.
"Psh, you think he'd stay with you even if I tell you?" She was hysterical, her face twisting to make her look like a witch. "Look, I'm sorry, but I really don't have time to talk to you. Have a good day," you said. You were about to brush shoulders with her when she grabbed hold of your arm and weakily throws you back. "Hey, you're not going anywhere until I know you're not going to hang around him."
"Sorry, but I can't comply to your wishes as it was your 'Master Childe' that came onto me," you state, grinning with your own wicked grin.
The girl snaps and lunges herself at you, but before she could even lay her long nails at you, you pulled out your sword and point it at her throat, just mere millimetres to lunging it in. Your face was still cool as ice, but the girl's mocking face turned to horror. "Listen, scum, I don't have time for idle chit chat as I have a date with your Master Childe," you said and lean to her ears so that only she could hear what you had to say next. "I don't care who you are, what you are to him, and I know that you can't even touch me so you best behave before my patience runs out and I plunge this sword at your pretty face. I'm being nice here and have pretty high patience so you best run along now."
The girl nodded frantically and runs past you. You turn around and watch as the girl disappears from sight. "Maybe you should call me Master," a voice whispers, feeling their breath tickling your ears. You turn around and was faced with the grinning ginger. "That is not going to happen."
"Maybe some day." He shrugs, which you immediately said no to. "Haha, but you said this was a date so that's a step close, no?" Your face flushed, forgetting that he was close by and had heard what you said to the girl. "Gah, I was just trying to let that girl feel mad," you said.
"Oh? You sure you don't want to call this a date?" he asks, giving you that glimmering eye look. "You can call it whatever as long as I get a free meal," you say and brush past him.
"Well, I know another way for you to get a free meal, but I wouldn't call it a date," he snickers and your lightly dusted face heated up quickly, knowing what he meant. "Shut up!"
"What? I was saying that we can always hunt," he lies, acting innocent to frame your impurity. "If you're not going to take me on that 'date', then I'm going back to the pharmacy," you said. He chuckles and fall in step with you, leading you the an expensive restaurant.
After the meal, you two were walking along the docks in silence, the ocean in the background was shimmering and wondered if it was a million noctilicious jade instead of pure water.
"So, what did you talk about with that girl from earlier?" Childe suddenly asks in a light tone. Your mind suddenly thought back to the event that had occurred with the girl and what she said about Childe sleeping with her. You wanted to ask, but you felt as if it wasn't right since it was his life and you didn't even know how to approach such question. "I'm sure you already know," you said.
"No, I don't so do enlighten me, since it was about me," he says. Then, you thought that it was the perfect time to add what you wanted to ask and took the chance. "Eh, nothing much. She kept on bragging how you slept with her multiple times though," you managed to slip in and shrug, playing it cool.
"Woah, woah, woah! She said that!?" Childe stops on his tracks and you turn to look at him. "That girl.. I swear that I haven't slept with her, or anyone for that matter!" Childe says, seeing his eyes look almost quite desperate to reassure you.
Your heart felt lighter, but decided to go on with the teasing. "Oh, really?" He nods almost instantly and you had to conceal your laughter. "Well, she said how you good you tasted and how well you did in bed to the point that I believed in it," you said, covering your mouth with a hand to hide your devilish smirk.
"You don't believe me?" he asks. "Nope," you said, not giving in to his saddened eyes. Then, almost in an instant, Childe walks closer to you and grabs your shoulders harshly. "Hey, what are you--" Your lips were sealed with his own. His lips was soft which caused a spark to jolt within you and making your legs almost became like jelly, giving in to the kiss.
Your hands were on his chest as he wraps an arm around your waist and the other on the back of your head. His tongue easily slipped past your lips and was now in a battle with yours, but that battle had ended sooner than you wished for when he pulls back and found the both of you panting. "I swear to you, (Y/N), that I didn't sleep with her," he says in a low voice.
To his surprise, you laughed. "I was just teasing around with you. Of course, I believe you," you said and smiled. The brunette stare at you in disbelief and when your laughter died down, you were kind of worried if you made a mistake in doing that. Then, he brings his lips back to yours with much more tenderness and you wrapped your arms around his neck, bringing him closer to you.
He pulls away again to your disappointment. "You are the only one I'd ever sleep with," he says, his wrap around your waist becoming tighter. "Then you better ditch those other girls or you're sleeping with no one," you joked before bringing him for another kiss, this time being longer.

Becoming a Family With Him, Part 3 // Shuichi, Hikaru, Rhion, Luke, Eisuke
so this came out, as further celebration for the anni. VERY GOOD, much more appreciated than the prior story set lol that one was kind of boring but i get it
they made the kids for all the... kid-less ones, and the eisuke one that used to be VIP-exclusive is now here for everyone to buy (rip those ppl who gacha for it)
my rambling behind the cut (spoilers!!)
shuichi // as ud expect, shuichi has a literal hime ass looking girl (kikyo) for a daughter. she’s only 6, but is pretty calm and ladylike. She even calls her parents with –sama so... ok luckily shuichi does not strip down all the way in the presence of her daughter and only takes off his suit coat. thanks dad
anyway since shuichi has a break coming up, he wants to have a family trip how nice. but then the dang girl wants to go over to see eisuke WHAT when soryu exists and lives a block away? unrelatable, im closing the app anyway eisuke is her first love, which wtf he’s like 20 yrs older than u. even worse, mc says she’s been in love since she was like 3.
shuichi is reconsidering the benefits of democracy in his mind but eventually relents. but then they’re still following the fucc-days rule they set years ago. well, as he says in the story, RULES ARE RULES
blah blah i don’t want to go over everything bc then it’ll be boring reading the story when it comes out in engl right? also im tired bc it’s 1 am and i just want to play toontown in bed but nothing really bad happens. they are a v cute family bc shuichi is a pleasant and mature dad. kikyo and mc even do a little surprise for him at the end and it is very sweet. i feel like out of all the families, this is the most ideal
mad hatter // so they have twin sons named Rui and Kai. Rui is the childlike one that resembles Rhion in personality, Kai is the more mature one that resembles Al. man i forget that boy’s name but u get me i know they only can use stock bgs but it’s killing me that these dang kids get to sleep in what looks like separate king sized beds.
even though rhion is now a father of two, he still acts like... 10. i mean he still horni but it makes me feel weird
later it’s revealed that Ota teaches them both as an art tutor bc they both showed an interest in art. this is cute bc ota is bad with kids in this universe LOL
the ending on this one was weird cuz the kids didn’t show up in the entirety of the last ep bc it was about WORK. so uh... interesting
hikaru // so their son is named akari. haha get it because it means light. like how hikaru also means light. can mc name her kids unrelated to their father or is that against the Geneva convention
this kid actually acts like an actual little boy. like what hikaru would’ve probably turned into if not for the whole sad backstory. the story starts with akari just bringing a dog randomly home one day. he actually saved the dog (it is very cute bc he did not want the dog to cry), and then after a talk they decide to keep the dog as long as akari knows the responsibility of taking care of an animal.
so next day, the bidders come over to their house and everyone’s like woaw a dog. lol they come into their house as guests and eisuke and mamo still demand for beverages, they all suck
akari names the dog... “Light” (Raito) and i want out of this nightmare. Naturally bc Light is an abandoned dog it’s still kind of bad with interacting with things. But then Light suddenly be giving the ( ╹ਊ╹) to soryu bc remember, animals love him. everyone clowns on soryu for being an unintentional dog whisperer and then akari is like “soryu san pls make me ur apprentice” and he gives some advice like approaching it slowly, and talking to it from the front instead of back.
blah blah there’s a situation where Light goes YEET after a Doberman gets all angry and then hides bc then another dog is scaring it. hikaru swoops in to the save the day as the Real Dog Whisperer. ok it’s cute when hikaru actually gets to look cool  for once LOL
luke // luke is cute on the bc “pre-story” scene he’s actually pretty open to the idea of having kids; he actually goes “well imo we should think abt it pretty soon, but i wanted to hear ur opinion on it” but then he gets horni. and then he’s like “our kids are going to have your collarbones. awesomeee im looking forward to that” ....ok
ok cut to the actual story and they’re in Japan. Luke’s kid looks... strange versus the others. why are his eyes so big? omg voltage his eyes arent going to be saucers just cuz he half white also the kid’s name is Yuri (Or Urey). They couldn’t think of any other Brit-styled names? Like Harry? Henry? William? Wilfred? hey stan be my princess btw he’s pretty cute, though he gives serious “timid kid that gets bullied in the children’s movie” vibes. He calls Luke “daddy” and mc “mammy/mommy”.
so luke talks about his relationship w/ soryu and eisuke and then yuri is like “i want friends like that” wow cute but also find less ethically-complicated friends
so luke lets yuri meet a young patient of his (haru) so they can be friends. they get along so it’s good. haru gets in critical condition later so luke zooms outta there to do the operation.
LOL but at the end yuri is like, “i want to make more friends. (...) can i go to the bidder’s room from now on?” this boy works fast
And then he’s like “Eisuke-san... please be my friend.” HIS POWER. even eisuke was like :O so then eisuke orders a whole bunch of food and books up to the penthouse. But then yuri’s like “...i like eisuke’s eyes” and everyone’s like oh man that’s gonna be his fetish
Baba: why have u started to have an interest in eyes Yuri: I read it from one of daddy’s medical books Hikaru: wtf u can read that at 4??? (...) Soryu: wat Yuri: um... i want soryu to be my friend too Yuri: bc soryu’s eyes are also powerfully cool...
eisuke // ok this gets an extended ramble bc the more annoying the story the longer i must complain
so you might be thinking, “oh so this is gonna be a flashback in some in media res styled story with your 2 kids, u know in the style of the others” and well, no you just go straight to white screen into the flashback, back when eito was smaller and thus a little more cute. well it’s not really false advertising bc they did say “reminisce” in the description. but i wanted to see eito be a good big brother for a moment! or... less good? man i wanted to see kaito go waaaah like a baby idk i wanted to see him exist
so back to the story they cut to small eito. even as a smaller punk he does fight with his dad a little, just w/ a more narrow vocabulary to work with. tho at this point he’s still pretty sweet so clearly eisuke clowning him day and night was a negative effect on his development. (doesn’t treat his child like a child) (child grows up to a punk that doesn’t respect him) (surprised pikachu) being the son of a billionaire means that this child has to go study at a very young age and listen to MOZART. no child of eisuke ichinomiya will be listening to degenerate bops like lee taemin’s criminal next day they all go to the very fancy school that eito will be attending. eisuke does a speech, but then eito is all like “why is papa over there all the time” in reference to how all the other parents in attendance are having fun with their children, but eisuke is busy talking to other people for business and connections etc. etc. mc kind of has a hard time trying to explain it to eito bc... it’s honestly poor parenting... eiji shows up after arriving late, and he’s like “gramps is gonna be with ya today! instead of papa” which is cute but then she’s like psst thanks for coming and im like oh... so grandpa just didn’t randomly come to the open house for fun he’s just gonna be surrogate dad while real dad is busy... aw... and then at the end eito’s like FUC THIS KINDERGARTEN. eisuke is like “(smh) don’t yell in public. (despite everything) you are still the eldest son of the Ichinomiya family”
and so afterwards it’s clear that eito does not want anything to do with this school. he just sits in the classroom until mc is there to pick him up instead of playing in the courtyard or w/e, wanting nothing to do with the other kids.
so later there’s a hiking trip for the students and both of their parents, and mc asks eisuke if he’ll be available for it. eisuke is like, “i have a business trip that day, so I’ll have to adjust my schedule” and he’s been very busy in the opening of a new business or w/e. mc tells him to not do so much for something like that and that it’s ok if she goes alone with eito on the trip.
it’s the day of the trip, and mc goes alone with eito. she notes that a lot of dads did indeed come along for the trip. she apologizes to eito and says that she did talk to eisuke about the trip before, but he’s simply busy for this day. and im like... but girl, you were the one who told him not to change his schedule for the trip. yes a trip may seem less important than business ventures, but don’t make it sound like you weren’t the one who stopped him. lol. idk why im pressed abt this single line of dialogue bc later she does realize she fucced up there well eito is just like w/e about it and has pretty much accepted that sort of thing
anyway eito goes missing later and one of the kids said that he told eito that his dad (eisuke) didn’t come bc his dad thinks that his work is more important than his son. so eito got mad and ran off somewhere
and then mc finally gets the lightbulb moment that eito... wants to see his dad!! he ran off to go try to see him somehow??? !! wow so sweet
it’s raining like a mf but then in her search for eito eisuke randomly pops out of nowhere. He’s like “ho i did not remember saying that i wasn’t coming” and she’s like “im sorrryyy” and both me and him are like “just find the dang kid”
ok yea they find eito, he starts being a good student, and u start to see where he starts being antagonistic towards his dad LOL etc. etc. lol this story annoyed me so i don’t feel like doing the rest of the play by play orz
anyway thanks for reading my garbage LOL

BTS at Golden Disc Awards 2021
by Admin 1
On the 9th and 10th of January 2021 BTS attended the Golden Disc Awards, and performed on the second day as well. Being there they won the Digital Bonsang for Dynamite on the 9th and the Bonsang, as well as the Album Daesang for Map of the Soul : 7, on the 10th. Amazing achievements which I sincerely congratulate them on.
When it comes to the performance, it was, most certainly, another amazing collection of stages bringing something new once more, even if they presented songs we’ve already seen at previous award shows this season. The opening came in form of Black Swan, though they didn’t sing any of it. It was more an intro showcasing the entrance of the members and highlighted Yoongi’s return to the stage, at least partially.
Tumblr media
The stage featured big metal winds, low lighting, and the members clad in black and white clothing including leather elbow length gloves for Namjoon and Yoongi, and pretty chockers for Taehyung and Jimin. The highlight though was Jungkook’s hair which isn’t dark anymore, but instead has been bleached and dyed a pretty blond. Personally I think it suits him pretty well.
Tumblr media
More below the cut since this is shaping up to be pretty long:
Next up was ON, which was powerful and fierce, though still missing Yoongi, which is all too understandable. Even though he can stand on stage again and hold his mic in his left hand (his surgery was on the left shoulder), it will still be a while until he’ll be able to dance with the members. ON has certainly grown a lot on me and I enjoy their performances of it immensely, and it was much the case this time as well.
The transition from ON to Life Goes On came in form of the stage being made to look like their individual rooms from BE which appeared on the digital walls around them. Their clothes were mostly comfy, though Jimin’s resembled their outfits from all the way back during I NEED U/RUN era. The transition/VCR like moment ended with the instrumental to We Are Bulletproof : The Eternal and the stage looking much the way the MV did with the whale swimming around them in an ocean of shades of purple, blue and pink.
Tumblr media
For Life Goes On they had miniature versions of some of their most iconic MV sets on pedestals. It was a really cute idea and I enjoyed the execution a lot. The members seemed relaxed and enjoying themselves, Jimin and Taehyung even having their little moment of looking at each other twice, these moments certainly having become something I always kind of look forward to when it comes to LGO stages.
Tumblr media
Another tiny Jimin and Taehyung detail was Jimin sending a brief, barely noticeable (by the viewer) finger heart which I hadn’t even noticed until my fourth rewatch. It definitely fits with all these other small gestures we’ve seen from these two in recent months, like the finger hearts and kissy faces during their Lotte Family Concert performance of Boy with Luv or hugging each other on day 1 and doing a fun handshake and dance on day 2 during Dionysus at the MOTS ON:E concert visible only on one of the side cameras, not the main one.
Tumblr media
The grand finale was the Slow Jam remix of Dynamite which worked perfectly with the chill out lounge/bar atmosphere created on stage fitting with the Great Gatsby theme. The members wore mostly suits in white, blue in Namjoon’s case, and a bright yellow when it comes to Taehyung, as well as Hoseok who had a white button down which Tae did not. While a normal person would look ridiculous in it, Taehyung looked absolutely stunning and made it more than work. After so many energetic performances of Dynamite since its release, seeing such a calm version was really nice and refreshing, showing how versatile BTS and their music are, how they can captivate an audience with fast songs made for big choreographies and stage productions, but also these slow, more chill types of tracks. A marvelous idea, truly.
Tumblr media
There was also an encore stage where they sang ON again but this time along with Yoongi on stage which had some hilarious moments, especially Namjoon and Seokjin being silly waving their arms around while kneeling opposite each other on stage during Jungkook’s bridge. Cute.
Afterward the members were at something like a red carpet after interview where they took pictures with their awards (Jungkook and Taehyung even making their Bonsang and Daesang awards kiss much the way film director Bong Joon Ho made his two Oscars kiss last year) and were asked to do a relay of saying something to each other.
Tumblr media
All translations of their words are taken from Vernal_Bom on twitter.
J-hope to Jimin
“I didn’t feel lonely in 2020 thanks to Jimin. Thank you for making me laugh. Give me happiness and laugh in 2021 as well.”  Jimin (turning to Namjoon): “It seems he can never live without me”
Honestly the bond between Jimin and Hoseok is so cute and wonderful and you can see, and hear in their words, how important they are to each other, and how grateful Hobi is. We know the members were having a really hard time in 2020 so it doesn’t surprise me that Hobi would highlight the other members, or in this case Jimin, as one of the main reasons why he made it through it. After all we also know that those two made a song together which unfortunately didn’t make it onto BE. Hopefully we might get it one day at least as SoundCloud release, or perhaps on the next album instead.
Jimin to RM
It was you who made us pull ourselves together to go through 2020. I am always grateful, and it’d be nice if you share you height a little with me in 2021, be healthy and happy. RM: Okay thank you
I love how Jimin used this (public) opportunity to tell/remind Namjoon of how important he was for them especially in 2020, as leader and surely also as friend, yet still also made a little joke to still keep the atmosphere light. After he was done speaking Jimin also hugged Namjoon, which showed once more how tiny he is in comparison.
RM to JK
It’s finally today, Jungkook-si, in 10 years! You are Golden Maknae! The day that you will prove your nickname! You are proving it right now with your hair color, but in 2021, I hope the year will be filled with gold, like your nickname. Stay healthy. Let’s ‘Jje-kkit-up’ together this year too! (check it up.. the usual Namjoon saying lol)
It’s quite something to think about and realize, isn’t it, this year 10 years pass since Jungkook became a BigHit trainee and moved into their first dorm with Namjoon, Hoseok, Yoongi and Seokjin. I’m curious if Bangtan, as well as BigHit, have some kind of plan for JK specifically for this year that Namjoon chose to highlight his Golden Maknae nickname in such a way, or if it was more of a reminder to JK, that he’s so worthy despite how he doubts himself, and despite how he himself said he’s been going through tough times in 2020.
JK to V
V hyung, when we were trainees we were getting along so well, (V: We are not now???) No!!! i didn’t mean it. You are becoming so much of an stand-up (reliable, I assume in this context) guy. Thank you for doing all the schedules with us.  jhope: who’s hyung here?
The bond these two share might just be one of the biggest mysteries and causes for conflicts and fights within the fandom, or particular parts of it. After their conversation In The SOOP, I’d like to believe they’ve figured out whatever issue might've arisen between them in the past, found a way to solve and move past it slowly, and rekindled their friendship once more. Seeing at how well they’ve been getting along (on camera) these past few months, I think it might've been so. It’s curious to me though that JK chose to say this instead of something more akin to what Jimin said to Namjoon, or Hoseok to Jimin.
V to Jin
V: (turns to Jin)  Jin: This is too close V: I listened to Abyss and that makes my heart ache too... Jin: Thank you V: hyung, your song is so good. Make more songs in 2021, let Army and us listen to your song more. Jin: Okayokay  V: and I play game with you to relieve stress.... sorry for talking in ban-mal (informal form). —(also speaking in informal way) Jin: No no it was so fun V: I love you Jin: I love you too
I absolutely adore the bond these two share and I love that Tae chose to say what he did. We know Seokjin has been going through a hard time in 2020, that he dealt with something I’d call imposter syndrome, so I’m glad we got to know even more about how Tae was there for him, something we otherwise would’ve never known. Certain people try to portray Tae as the one member that is almost estranged from his other members, who barely has anything to do with the group outside of schedules, and yet it’s moments like this--as well as Seokjin telling us in his birthday vlive that Tae organized for everyone including his non-BTS friends to send Seokjin birthday wishes in video form to show him how loved and appreciated he is--are the proof that those people are wrong. Tae is very close with his members, and he’s the ambassador of OT7 or nothing, the members his closest friends and brothers, his found and chosen family.
Jin to Suga
Jin: Yoongi ya, do it well. Suga: Okay.... Jin: Do well on your rehab, and...uh... let’s do well going forward. Suga: Okay.. I will...
These two are so close yet due to their introverted nature their interactions such as this one are just so hilarious and adorable at the same time. Their dynamic is wonderful and this just seems like peak Yoongi-Jin behavior.
Suga to j-hope
SG: (unable to look into hobi’s eyes) Our hobi JH: Suga! SG: You did work hard in 2020 (evading eye contact) JH: hahhahahah and? SG: Let’s not fall sick in 2021, and hwaiting...  JH: “Hwaiting hyung, and take good care of your health!”
The saga of Yoongi being unable to look Hoseok in the eye continues and it’s just as precious as ever. They stood so close, and while Yoongi wasn’t able to look into Hoseok’s eyes, it’s funny how he was the one who initiated the whole “them standing so close together” thing. I love the difference between how Seokjin didn’t even try to make eye-contact while Hoseok playfully challenged Yoongi and tried to coax him into it anyway knowing it’ll make Yoongi laugh and smile. It’s such a Yoongi-Hoseok thing, I love it.
Tumblr media
And with that, the award was over and now also my post. I hope you enjoyed reading it! :3

Nishinoya, Kenma and Tendou w/ lyric prank
Request: Hi um so since you are writing for Haikyu now could I maybe get Kenme, Tendou and NIshinoya with a cute lyric prank? Like super sweet songs. Thank you and you can ignore this I’m sorry.
Don’t be sorry sweet anon of course I’m gonna write it. I love writing for Haikyu and I like it when you guys request things for them. Since you didn’t specify which songs I used some of my favorites. Love yaa. 💖💖💖
rules
warnings: Tendou’s is SUGGESTIVE.
songs: ‘Cuz I love you- Lizzo, Love- Keyshia Cole, Cyber sex- Doja Cat
NIshinoya Yuu
Tumblr media
-I feel like Nishinoya is familiar with tik tok.
-And by familiar I mean addicted.
-So he had seen those lyric pranks here and there but never really paid any mind to them.
-You on the other hand found them so cute.
-And of course you wanted to see how your boyfriend would react.
-You had two options.
- One, send a horny/sexy song in hopes this escalates to something else.
- Two, send a sweet/ lovey dovey song and get a cute response.
-You went for the second option because you were feeling extra cuddly and you knew that he would come over to shower you with affection the moment you send the first lyric.
-He’s just like that.
-Overly affectionate in general and would leave whatever he’s doing if you need him.
-You were already chatting with him, he was telling a stupid thing Tanaka did to Kiyoko when you suddenly sent the first lyric.
- ‘ Never been in love before.                                                                                      What the fuck are fucking feelings yo?’
-He didn’t respond immediately so you took the opportunity to send another text.
- ‘ Once upon a time, I was a ho .                                                                                I don't even wanna ho no mo'
- ‘Wait this sounds familiar....I KNOW THIS FROM SOMEWHERE!!!’
-You were kinda disappointed.
-You were hoping to keep him guessing for a little longer but you knew that when it came to you he was extra perceptive.
-He would sense when something was off in an instant.
-That’s why you couldn’t keep something hidden from him for longer than a day, and I’m being generous.
- ‘ Got you something from the liquor store.                                                        Little bit of Y/N and some Mo Tryna open up a little more Sorry if my heart a little slow’
- ‘Who said you are slow? IM GONNA FIGHT THEM I SWEAR!!!”
-You were cackling at this point, he was taking this very seriously.
-Still you were amazed at how he hadn’t figured out the song yet.
-But since you are a little shit you continued.
- ‘ I thought that I didn't care I thought I was love-impaired But baby, baby I don't know what I'm gonna do’
-I swear you could sense the moment the lyrics clicked in his mind through the screen.
-Matching your energy he responded.
- ‘IM CRYING!’
- ‘CUZ I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!’
-Both of you sent the last part at the same time followed by an array of heart memes and voice messages of you trying to hit the high notes.
-He did come over after leaving you on read for 10 minutes.
-You two cuddled and played the song on repeat for 3 hours straight.
Kozume Kenma
Tumblr media
-Sweet lil kitty.
-He loves you and you know it.
-He doesn’t really like tik tok.
-He just can’t understand the hype behind it.
-So he is completely oblivious to this whole trend.
-You two are hanging out in his room.
-He was in the middle of a stream, commenting here and there on the game and answering a few questions.
-You were laying on his bed scrolling through your instagram and blasting music through your earphones.
-That’s when a love song came on and you wanted to dance and sing to it so badly but he was streaming....
-You wanted to share it with him because the lyrics reminded you of him and it was so cute.
-Slightly pouting in your mini misery you remembered the lyric trend.
-Even though the videos you had seen had been suggestive you weren’t really in the mood for that.
-You just wanted to cuddle him.
-Going into your chat you started to type the part you were listening to right now.
- ‘  Now you're gone, what am I gonna do So empty ‘
-His phone vibrated and he spared a glance at it but didn’t see what the message was.
-You weren’t about to give up though.
- ‘ My heart, my soul can't go on ‘
-He ignored it again.
- ‘ Go on, baby, without you’
-He spared a glance at it again and you contemplated on stopping in fear he might get annoyed when he saw it was you.
-But you knew he will only get flustered afterwards.
- ‘ My rainy days fade away when you come around please tell me baby’
-He grabs his phone as it vibrates and unlocks it.
-You can hear the chat going wild with messages when he smiles down at his screen, a rare occasion.
-You send another message.
- ‘ Why you go so far away Why you go ‘
-The blush that tinted his cheeks darkened as he turned to look at you.
- “I’m not that far away....” he whispered.
-The chat was beyond confused on what was going on.
-You sent the last lyric and that’s when he decided to end the live stream.
-He apologized to his fans and turn the computer off.
-He pounced on you the moment the camera turned red and he kissed you like there was no tomorrow.
-His phone lay open still in your chat, your last text facing the ceiling.
- ‘ Love Never knew what I was missing But I knew once we start kissin' I found you.’
Tendou Satori
Tumblr media
-It’s a race of who does the trend first.
-You are both addicted to tik tok.
-That’s one of the reasons you are together.
-You are similar and like the same things.
-So you both have seen the trend on multiple occasion and have sent each other videos.
-In a way you were challenging the other to try it.
-You knew that your boyfriend loved pampering you in kisses and love, and you were tempted to  send a love song something sweet.
-But you also knew that he was a little freaky, always making comments and getting you worked up.
-So you decided to be freaky yourself.
-He was at practice when you finally put your plan in motion.
-He would always answer your texts during his water brakes so it wouldn’t be long until he saw it.
- ‘ And he don't even scroll through Insta 'Less he going through my pictures ‘
-Half an hour passed until he finally replied.
- ‘You know me too well princess’
-  ‘You’re too irresistible I can’t help myself.’
-You bit your lip at the messages and you knew that it wouldn’t take long before the more ..... PG 18.
-Debating whether or not to continue and since you were a little shit, you send the next lyric.
- ‘  I wanna touch on you You see me in my room’
-This time he didn’t hesitate to answer.
- ‘Oh is my girl feelin’ needy?’
-Not yet at least.
- ‘ Wish you were here right now All of the things I'd do ‘
-You assumed that his break should be over when you sent the text.
-Just to tease him.
-But to your surprise he messaged back rather quickly.
- ‘Tsk tsk you just had to do this while I have practice didn’t you?’
- ‘I’ll have to punish you for that.....’
-Here we go!!!
-You knew that if you continued you would be in for it big time.
-Even though you hadn’t been feeling particulary needy lately, messing with Tendou was always fun.
-You were usually the one being teased but turning the tables every once in a while was healthy.
-Even though he wouldn’t become a blushing mess like you, you still liked getting this reaction from him.
-Getting him worked up and impatient to get home was a bonus.
-You knew sending the last lyric would be your downfall.
-So you took a swan dive.
- ‘I wanna get freaky on camera I love when we get freaky on camera’

robstar week 2020: day three
it’s almost wednesday but i made it B) be sure to check out @samdraws715 page for the original post of the drawing!
Tamaran
It’s only supposed to be just be a meeting of royal matters, so why was he so worried? Maybe he wanted to make a good impression among her people even though they already know who he and his team are?
And Galfore already knew who he was for sure, and he had a strong feeling Galfore already knew about his relationship with Starfire. If he would be seeing him, then who knows what he would say. Does only he know? Or did he happen to tell the whole kingdom about it?
He tapped the glass of his T-pod with his finger, shaking his head as he looked back out in front of him to see the infinite galaxy stretched out before him. He shouldn’t be so concerned with this stuff if they’re just here for business matters. Well, Starfire is at least. All he really wanted to was to support her and give her company, and she didn’t seem to mind the offer at all.
Besides, it was only for a day. The next day they’d be flying right back home.
“Robin, you are okay, yes?” Starfire suddenly spoke to him from her pod. The T-ship was much quieter without Beast Boy or Cyborg chatting it up in the back.
“Oh, yeah, sorry… I was kinda lost in my thoughts.” Robin rubbed the back of his head.
“You were “spaced out”? None of the puns intended.”
Robin laughed. It was a funny joke, considering their location. He admired his girlfriend’s charm and the way she slowly became more and more familiar with common earth phrases over time, most of that being Beast Boy’s doing. “Yeah, I guess I was.”
“I am glad you came with me,” Starfire began. “I do not believe I would’ve enjoyed coming all this way out here on my own.”
“It’s no problem at all, Star, I’m glad to come along too! It’s nice to travel somewhere else other than in our own city. Plus, it’ll be nice to see Tamaran again.”
“I agree. However, meeting with Tamaranian officials isn’t something I’m enthused about. Truthfully, I am excited to see Galfore again. It has been a while since we saw each other last.” Starfire paused as she smiled to herself for a moment, thinking about the one who had given her a good life while she lived on her birth planet. “He is eager to see you too, you know.”
Robin swiftly turned to face her. “Wh- really?”
“Of course!” Starfire now faced him as well. “He is very fond of you, he finds your skills and determination quite admirable, and I do have to admit, he isn’t wrong.” She said as she couldn’t help but quirk a smile.
“I didn’t know he thought that...” Robin said. Even if Galfore thought that of him, he still always tried to make himself the most impressionable as he could.
Eventually they arrived on Tamaran. When the ship had landed right at the entrance of the castle, Galfore, some of the officials and some citizens of Tamaran were already there waiting for them.
“Oh, I wasn’t expecting this many people.” Robin said with an unsure tone.
“Neither was I, but look, Galfore is there! Let us go greet him!”
Robin and Starfire stepped out of the T-ship and went to Galfore who was waiting below, eager to see the young teens.
“Ahhh, Starfire!” Galfore exclaimed with a mighty, but excited tone. He moved to hug her. “I am glad to see you. I have missed you very much, my princess.”
“And I have missed you, Galfore. Are you doing well?”
“We have been getting along just nicely!” He said proudly. “It may be lots of hard work but I do enjoy being the grand ruler.” He looked out at the other Tamaranians in front of him talking amongst each other with a smile. “I enjoy helping and caring for my people.” He turned back to meet his gaze with Starfire’s. “I am sure you feel the same about your role on earth?”
Starfire nodded. “I do. Robin, myself and our friends take great pride in saving our city!”
Galfore smiled once more. “Hm, so I see. Speaking of which...”
Robin was caught off guard when Galfore suddenly gave him a tight hug. “Robin! So good to see you again!”
“Y-You too, sir!” Robin gasped for air.
Galfore let Robin out of his tight hug.
“Ever since your last visit, Starfire has told me quite a bit about you, Boy Wonder.”
“She has, has she?” Robin shot Starfire a look accompanied with a smirk.
“Indeed! Even about your trip to the place they call Tokyo.”
Robin felt frozen in place at the mention of that. If Starfire told him about their trip, did he know that they were in a relationship?
Robin was even more taken aback when Galfore bent down to his level and whispered to him. “However, I am a bit surprised it took you so long to finally say something to her.”
The jolly man carried a happy expression as Robin looked up at him, unable to form sentences properly. He tapped his arm. “Um... you know about... me and St-“
“Ho ho ho, of course I do!” Galfore heartily laughed.
“But I-“
Galfore didn’t hear Robin and instead turned towards the other Tamaranians. “My fellow Tamaranians, after our delegation meeting, we shall prepare a feast for moon set!”
The crowd cheered and Galfore walked to the guards, which weren’t far off from Starfire and Robin. “Our meeting will start shortly. Make sure all our representatives have arrived, and have our chefs start to prepare for the feast.”
The guards did as they were told, and Galfore had looked back over to the two teens.
“Come along with me you two.”
They followed Galfore into the castle and the doors closed. He sighed a breath of relief. “I truly cannot wait for the feast afterward, I hope that we may be able to spend some more time together. How does that sound?” Galfore asked them with a smile.
“We’d be happy to!” Robin replied.
“I am glad to hear!” Galfore clasped his hands together before pointing further down the hall. “Your room is the first down the hall to the right, make yourselves comfortable and settle in! And Starfire, you will need to be back in about 10 minutes to participate in the meeting.”
Starfire nodded. “I will be there.”
Meanwhile, a million thoughts were running through Robin’s head. Your room. Did he hear that right?
“Uh, sir?” Robin spoke in a softer tone. “Where’s my room again?”
“Oh, my apologies if you did not hear me, Robin. I said it was first down the hall and to the right.”
Robin just stared up at him, waiting for him to continue.
“Well I must be off! I will see you at the meeting Starfire!”
It hit him then. He arranged for them to share a room. Well played, indeed.
Robin now sat outside the meeting room. He heard muffled voices beyond the doors but couldn’t quite hear what they were saying. He looked at his surroundings of the corridor and noted the Tamaranian decor. Something about the place and the environment felt kind of nice. Eventually he ran out of things to do and looked at his reflection on the steel part of his boots, looking at how the reflection changed slightly whenever he moved his foot in a certain direction.
Eventually the doors to the meeting room opened again. Thank goodness. Robin sat up and looked through the doorway trying to find Starfire through the Tamaranians who had started to pass him on their way out. He soon saw her next to Galfore.
“Robin!” Starfire’s expression changed as she embraced him in a hug.
“Apologies for the wait, Robin,” Galfore began. “I didn’t expect the meeting to continue on for that long. I assume you two are hungry?”
Robin hadn’t even realized he was until Galfore mentioned it to him. He nodded.
“Well you are in luck! I have heard that the feast is nearly ready now. Let us make our way to the dining room.”
Once at the dining room and when everyone had come and taken their place at the table. Food was placed in front of Robin and one of the chefs had removed it. On the plate was what appeared to be some sort of green jelly with all sorts of things inside it. And was that an eyeball?!
He already knew exactly what it was.
“Fresh glorg everyone! Dig in!” Galfore had announced.
The others around him had started eating at an alarming rate and Robin sat there trying to avoid eating what was in the jelly and only ate around it. Unfortunately for him his glorg was filled with other ingredients.
Starfire, who has sat across from him, had noticed that he hadn’t eaten his food much since dinner had started. As a chef came and took her empty plate away and brought her another plate of the food, she spoke to him.
“Robin? Are you not hungry for dinner anymore?”
“Oh, uh...” Robin hesitated. “No I am, sorry I was just... thinking.”
He looked back down at his plate of food, knowing what he must do. He felt bad about not liking it, he really did like Tamaran and the citizens and he had absolutely no problem with their way of life but no matter how hard he tried to find a positive about the food he just couldn’t. Though now that his girlfriend was watching him he would’ve felt awful if he just decided not to eat.
He picked up his spoon again and stared at the glorg on his plate. He’s been through much worse than just a bad dish, surely he could handle it, right?
He took a scoop from the jelly and without even thinking shoved the spoonful in his mouth. He chewed it to pieces without trying to think about exactly what he was chewing on and swallowed. He took another spoonful and put it in his mouth again, chewing and swallowing all while pretending the dish was perfectly okay.
“How are you finding it?” Starfire had looked at him beaming.
Robin gave a thumbs up and a weak smile, trying not to look down at his plate to see how much more he had to stomach.
Eventually Robin had made it. When the chef came to take his plate he gave Robin a look.
“Would you care for another?”
The boy’s eyes widened. “Oh, no! No thank you, I’m full! That was really satisfying...” Robin said trying to play it cool.
The chef raised an eyebrow but just shrugged his shoulders and walked off.
Robin’s gaze averted back to Starfire, who was still giving him a smile, in which he reciprocated.
Once dinner had concluded, Robin and Starfire had walked the corridors to their room, holding each other’s hands.
“So how was the meeting? Did you discuss anything interesting?”
“Oh, not really to be honest. It was mainly about some general topics that needed to be discussed.” She gave him a smile. “You did not miss much.”
Robin chuckled.
“So...” Starfire began. “Did you enjoy dinner?”
Robin’s eyes widened. “Y-Yeah! I did! Why, did you?”
Starfire giggled. “It’s alright if you didn’t. I can tell when you don’t enjoy something.”
“I...” Robin searched for an explanation, eventually lowering his shoulders. “Ah geez.”
“Do not worry, Robin, I don’t mind at all.” Starfire paused. “Personally glorg isn’t my favourite Tamaranian dish... however, I am surprised at your determination to finish it all.”
“I just didn’t want to be rude, honestly.” Robin told her.
Starfire had laughed at that. “Apologies but, there is no need to think about that. I really wouldn’t have minded.”
“Well if you say so...”
Starfire raised a brow and then nudged him playfully a little, trying to cheer him up. “You know... once we get back to earth, perhaps we could stop for some pizza? I do miss it, and it is unlike anything I’ve ever tried...”
A smile crept upon his face. “I’d love to.”
She beamed happily and laced their fingers together as the both of them continued to walk down the corridors in peace.

Oh wow! @lucyclairedelune thanks for tagging me!
Rules: List the first lines of your last 20 stories (if you have less than 20, just list them all!). See if there are any patterns. Choose your favorite opening line. Then tag 10 of your favorite authors!
In chronological order:
1) Dead Man Walking (Star Trek: Alternate Original Series)  The second worst thing about being caught is, Marcus was expecting it: every second he thought he was slipping his leash, every time he believed himself one step ahead was all an illusion.
2) Some That Smile (Star Trek: Alternate Original Series): On Kronos, you hate yourself for looking – for the hot, dark twinge of attraction you feel deep in your gut.
3) Raise a cup (or ten) (star Trek: Alternate Original Series):  Jim only has himself to blame.
4) Stand by me (Star Trek: Alternate Original Series): ACCESS DENIED – CODE BLOCKED
5) Homecoming (Star Trek: Alternate Original Series):  They have been hiding inside a nebula for the last ten days, waiting, and Jim is starting to crack.
6) Jim’s War (Star Trek: Alternate Original Series): When the medical team finally materializes, Jim gives them space to work, but doesn't go far: he kneels down by Khan's head and keeps talking, just in case.
7) Hell or High Water (The Eagle/Eagle of the Ninth):  Marcus laughs as he stumbles through the club, his cell phone pressed against his ear.
8) In The Hour Of Torment (Star Trek: Alternate Original Series):  Parallel universes. Alternative time-lines.
9) For Me and My Guy (The Eagle/Eagle of the Ninth): Paris (the French one), July 10th, 1918
My dearest, if I ever complain about how many rehearsals you schedule, feel free to kick me, as long as you'll kiss me afterwards and never stop.
10) Invitus Amabo (The Eagle/Eagle of the Ninth):  He owes his life to a woman.
11) When Johnny Comes Marching Home Again (The Eagle/Eagle of the Ninth):  My Dearest
12) Keep Calm and Dance on (The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild): Link fell in love with dancing after watching a Fred Astaire musical with his grandmother and pestered his parents until they signed him up for classes.
13) Sing Your Sorrow When All Your Tears Run Dry (The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild):  She used to call him The Silent Ghost behind his back – not that she would have cared if he had known, back then.
14) The Wrong Immortal (The Old Guard):   “...e non ho ancora trovato l'Immortale.” [Translation: ...and I haven’t fount The Immortal yet]
15) Unseen by the world (The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild):  Zelda chews on her pen, casting a quick glance at her Appointed Knight.
16) Medieval Naming Customs (The Old Guard):  They aren't exactly friends with Copley.
17) The Opposite of Love (The Old Guard): It takes him a while to find Yusuf, mostly because he doesn't want to ask the others: they all look at him as though he should already know, as though there's something fundamentally wrong with him for asking.
16) Miracles (The Old Guard):  Can I tell you a story?
17) An Unlikely Hero (The Old Guard):  It has to be tonight.
18) With This Wind Blowing, And This Tide (The Old Guard) : “Everyone, we're here. This is Nile.” Andy announces as she steps through the door.
19) Ring, Ring, Little Bell (You Shall Not Toll For Me) (The Old Guard):  "Do you ever wonder how he would have killed us?”
20) The Service of Our Love (The Old Guard): “Are we doing this? Are we really doing this?”
This took longer than I expected!
Zelda’s “Unseen by the world” is technically the second sentence but the first one was a quote from Zelda’s diary in-game: it is part of the story, but it didn’t seem right? So I went with the first sentence I wrote. I hope I didn’t accidentally break the rules...though maybe I shouldn’t have included a not!fic....
Oh, well, too late now.
Analysis: I do a lot of in medias res beginnings - that or flashbacks/letters. Titles are either very factual (i.e. I couldn’t think of one and it shows), taken from quotes (when in doubt: World War I poetry) or songs. Some fics came complete with title and again, it shows.
Also, I can’t leave a plot well enough alone: I end up writing AUs, and then AUs of the AU...
Tagging: @amistakemaybe, @nicolodigenovas (feel free to ignore), @sugar-maple-trees-but-drink-it, @honestground, @dontcallmecarrie, @shanastoryteller,@botanycameos, @asheneclipse, @giotanner
I’d honestly need to tag more than that, especially in TOG fandom

Mononucleosis Awareness Post
So I caught Mono participating in Hot Girl Summer™ (jk jk lmao) but I did get Mono, and this shit is not a fucking joke. If you feel like you might have it, please go to the doctor. Over the past 4 weeks, I have been going through literal medical hell from complications. I’m gonna list the symptoms I’ve had and if you feel like you might have it, go get looked at. I thought Mono was something only horny ass teens got in high school playing spin the bottle, I’m 26 (27 next month) and was NOT expecting this shit at all.
Fatigue
Tumblr media
My first symptom that something was wrong was fatigue. This is not normal, everyday fatigue. This is actually waking up and feeling like the world is ending when you take your first step, fatigue. I couldn’t keep my eyes open. While driving, I put my emergency break on at red lights because I was afraid I would fall asleep while at the standstill. At work, if there were no calls, my head was down (luckily, my boss is only here twice a week so I could get away with this). At home, I was in bed by 6PM and when you do sleep, it’s immediate. There is no gradual lulling off to sleep. It’s face-meet-pillow-meet-morning-alarm type of sleep. But I was still tired no matter how much I slept so I started using No Doze to counteract the effects. At first, it was fine, but even then, I still had the underlying fatigue. It got so bad, I drove over a friend’s house in Greenbelt, MD which is about an hour and a half away with rush hour traffic, using every bit of energy I had in my body to get to her, because she said she would take care of me, which she did. But by the time I pulled up to her house, I basically almost fell out of the driver side door when she opened it for me. That is not an exaggeration, that is the level of exhaustion I felt from just driving that far without sleeping. We thought I had the flu or something flu-like, so she gave me fluids and alot of Day & NightQuil. It made the symptoms lessen, but it never made them go away.
Sore Throat
Tumblr media
At the beginning, my throat merely felt scratchy. This lasted for about 3 days, before I knew it, my voice was gone and my throat was in so much pain I gave up talking. The pain is not akin to Strep Throat, if you’ve had that before. It is actually worse. My throat was swollen as a symptom of the virus, but it graduated into its own infection of severe Tonsillitis. It was so severe that I actually began having trouble swallowing from the amount of swelling that it caused. I had to receive a steroid injection in my butt to counteract the swelling and start methylprednisone (which wasn’t strong enough and I had to go back for regular prednisone 20mg). I couldn’t eat anything without pain, so I stuck to drinking a lot of fluids and ice water. Ice water became my guardian angel because my throat was in a constant state of burning pain. I also grew exodus on the back of my throat, past my tonsils, as a result of the infection in my throat, and had to gargle salt water like crazy everyday to get them out. The exodus hurts, it is hard and feels like cement on the back of your throat and it makes the Tonsillitis 10x worse than it already is. I didn’t have a voice at all for 12 days, I had to use a dry erase board for all interactions (it’s quicker than typing on my phone.)
Nausea
Tumblr media
Now my case may be different because the doctors keep telling me my nausea shouldn’t have gone on as long as it did and that I need to go see a Gastroenterologist ASAP but that’s a different story for a different post. Nausea was my worst and most persistent symptom to date. The kind of nausea you may feel will be persistent. I woke up nauseous to the point of my mouth salivating as though I were about to vomit everyday for about 2-2.5 weeks. This never settled. There was never a time my mouth was not salivating, I had to begin keeping paper cups at my desk to spit the residual saliva into throughout the day because it never subsided. One day, I had a salad for lunch from Panera even though I wasn’t hungry, I knew I should try to eat something. (By this time, my throat had made some progress and I could swallow some whole things.) I immediately regretted that decision when I lay in bed at midnight holding my stomach like the world was ending. I was so nauseous that I couldn’t get myself together enough to even get out of bed. The thing that makes the nausea symptom so bad (for me) is that it never made be actually vomit, it just created the sensation of needing to. Eventually, I broke down and stuck a straw down my throat just to alleviate the symptom a bit and threw up the salad, and it didn’t even look like it’d been digested properly. That made the nausea go away for the night, and after that I gave up eating anything solid hoping that would prevent any future nausea, spoiler alert: I was wrong. My salivating mouth picked up right where it left off, it was as though all I went through the night before didn’t even matter. My stomach was empty and still nauseated. That night, the nausea was so bad that I just knew something was off and I drove myself to the ER (Note: I drive myself to the ER that is less than 10-minutes away all the time to save money on an ambulance, if you feel you are not safe to drive, dial 911, it is better to just pay the ambulance than cause an accident and make your situation worse than it already is.). When I got there, I was beyond exhausted, nauseous, dizzy, I just felt like I was dying. The doctor brought me back, took my vitals, asked the usual questions. I told him about the nausea, the Mono diagnosis, he said he wanted me to get a temporary room while he ran some tests. I got a room and a nurse came in and gave me a shot of Zofran for the nausea that did absolutely nothing. It was so bad that when he came back in, I asked for Ipecac or a straw to induce vomiting again. Alarmed, he said they wanted to avoid me vomiting and gave me an additional shot of Zofran. That helped that time, but I still just felt overall terrible. The doctor came in later and told me my potassium levels were extremely low, explaining the extreme fatigue and dizziness, that my liver was swollen from the Mono, and that the nausea was alarming and he would be admitting me for treatment. I was shocked that this virus had done such a number on me. My throat had even worsened and was now even more swollen and painful than it was before (I hadn’t gotten the 20mg prednisone script yet.). I spent 2 days with an IV in my arm, eating mushy foods and sleeping in the hospital. I had to take off work because I was in no shape to even drive there, let alone get anything done. After the 2 days went by, I actually felt back to my normal self! I was so fucking happy to exist and not feel like dying after weeks of wanting to that I went home and started cleaning my room. I had let it get atrocious from not feeling well or feeling like doing anything besides sleeping. Shortly after I began, the fatigue kicked in, the only symptom to never leave, and I sat my ass down and watched Rick & Morty with Sebastia and went to sleep instead, which was probably the safer bet. Fast forward 8 nausea-free days, and guess what’s back??? It’s tolerable now, but still an extreme nuisance. I get my Zofran prescription and it does didly fucking squat to alleviate the nausea. I call the Urgent Care that diagnosed me and ask if there’s anything stronger for nausea and they tell me all the stronger shit will have me bedbound and loopy. Bills gotta get paid so we can’t have that. So that night, in a moment of nauseous desperation, I took double the dosage of the Zofran to alleviate the discomfort. Now, I understand I shouldn’t have done this, but I was DESPERATE and afterward, I felt great. It was the first time the medicine had done wtf the doctors said it would do and the way it was supposed to: quick, fast and in a motherfucking sprint. So I stupidly called the Urgent Care to ask them about the nausea medicine again (I have such a good relationship with this UC for some reason, probably because I hate my primary.) and told them what I’d done the night before and that I was now out of nausea meds and needed a refill before it came back, which was all true. Jessica, the nurse I always saw, was alarmed and spoke to the doctor on duty there, and told them about what I did. Then they cut me off and said to go ask my Primary for the refill because I’ve been utilizing them way too much (long story short). But she also said that I shouldn’t need that much Zofran and something else is going on and I need to be seen by a Gastro. That $40 co-pay appointment is still pending. Andddd I’ve been nausea-free for about a week now, but as I type this, my mouth just began salivating so it looks like I’m gonna be dealing with that again soon. Fuck.
Dizziness
Tumblr media
My dizziness didn’t come full force until about 4 days ago (Week 4). I was out at a shopping center getting groceries and while I was parking at a nearby Dunkin Donuts, the world legit started slanting. I felt like I’d been drugged all of a sudden. My skin felt cold and clammy, everything felt out of focus and I immediately needed to lie down. Luckily, it came right after I’d put my car in park and had the opportunity to put my seat back and do so. I waited about 10 minutes maybe, and then I felt ok enough to get out and go get some food because I thought I was just hungry because I hadn’t eaten yet. Even standing in line and waiting for the food afterward was difficult. I had to sit down or else I’d fall down. I got back in my car and ate and laid down again, went back to the store to get eggs I forgot to grab before, and on the walk back to my car almost walked into another parked car. Of course, people saw and probably thought I was drunk or something. I was embarrassed but didn’t have the motor skills energy to explain the situation of feeling like I was in 2 bodies at once. This symptom has come and gone as it pleases, but luckily after a good 2-hour nap that day when I got home, I felt alot better.
Poor Appetite
Tumblr media
While battling this virus, I have lost 10 pounds and still counting in the past 4 weeks. While it’s great to fit into clothes I was once too thick to get past my thighs, it is not the way I wanted to lose the weight. In the beginning, I always felt full no matter what, which made me not want to eat, combined with the nausea, it made eating something I just wasn’t in the mood to ever do. This went on for weeks, which caused the weight loss. I learned later that my swollen liver pressing against my stomach is what caused the sensation of fullness, hence, not ever feeling like I should eat. Now, my appetite has returned, and I’ve been eating nothing but starchy, fatty nonsense my diet never would’ve allowed before I got sick. And even with all the newfound calories I’ve been non-stop digesting (seriously guys, pizza 5 days straight, bread bowls, bacon egg and cheese croissants, cheesecake, donuts...) I’m still shedding pounds. My Gold’s Gym Membership is gathering dust because I can’t go workout with my body still always in fatigue-mode and it’s probably just not kosher to do with this kind of virus. My mom said I should celebrate for now until it becomes a cause for concern later, but I think I should probably be concerned now since the earlier you find something out the better health-wise. I lowkey did some research and think I might have Hepatitis-C from the virus, which is curable, but sucks all the same if I’m right. I inherited my mother’s extremely poor immune system, so I really wouldn’t be surprised. I’ll post before and after photos of my weight loss separately, don’t want Tumblr turning me into the Face of Mono™ because of this post.
Swollen Lymph Nodes
Tumblr media
This was one of the lesser symptoms that went away by week 2-2.5. They are definitely sensitive and noticeable. I found that icing them alleviated a lot of the discomfort and made it tolerable, but overall, these were the least of my worries.
If you experience any of these symptoms or think you may have Mono, definitely get yourself checked out. They can do a rapid test at any Urgent Care or ER and let you know during your visit if you have it. This shit is not a joke. I’m still dealing with the symptoms right now and have no inclination of when they will be gone. The literature says anywhere from a few weeks to a year, I’m praying for the initial option but I have no way of knowing for sure. I say all this to say, pay attention to and know your body, guys. You only get one.

“Hot… it’s so hot… I’m going to meeeeelt!!” Taichi lamented from his spot on the floor of the Mankai Company’s lounge. The redhead was already wearing shorts and a sleeveless shirt, but sweat still covered his entire body.
“Damn Sakyo! I can’t believe that cheap old man won’t let us turn on the aircon!” Banri growled from his spot at the table, fanning himself desperately with a paper fan. “And I can’t believe I have to use this stupid fan!”
The fan was one of many that Sakyo had asked Sakoda to prepare for them. The kanji for “Simplicity. Frugality. Temperance.” were emblazoned on the plain white fans in Sakoda’s calligraphy. They had only cost 800 yen for a pack of 20, and Sakoda’s labour was free.
“Well… Sakyo did say he would turn it on when it hits 35 degrees at least…” Sakuya replied, looking up from the script he was reading with one hand – the other also limply held a fan. Even the ever-chipper Spring Troupe leader sounded less enthusiastic than usual.
“It’s freakin’ 34 degrees!! We’re only one degree off, but he still won’t turn it on!” Tenma cried, lifting his head up from where he had laid it on the table. After his outburst, he immediately dropped it back on the table, all energy drained out of him. “Banri… fan me too… I can’t move…”
“Maybe we can ask him to count the humidity level… It’s 87% humidity after all… that’s got to count for an extra degree, right?” Sakuya suggested with a chuckle.
“I’m going to dieeeeee, it’s too hooooot!!” Taichi wailed.
“Shut UP, Taichi!! You’re making me feel even hotter!!” Banri snapped.
Suddenly the door to the lounge slammed open and Tsuzuru practically collapsed into the lounge.
“It’s an emergency!” the older boy exclaimed, his face pale and dripping with sweat.
“Tsuzuru?! What happened?”
“The director… I just saw her walking back from grocery shopping with Tsumugi. And I overheard that… that… that she’s making extra spicy curry for dinner tonight!!”
The lounge was silent for a moment as the gravity of what Tsuzuru just uttered sank in. Then, the room immediately erupted into a flurry of panicked voices.
“E-extra spicy curry?!”
“GYAAAAH!! It’s too hot for curry!!”
“IS SHE FREAKIN’ CRAZY?!”
“NOOOOOO! We’re going to dieeeeee!”
“GUYS! Pull it together. We just… we have to stop her!” Tsuzuru interrupted, hauling himself back onto his feet.
“How do we do that?!” Taichi moaned.
“Don’t panic! I have a plan!” Banri replied, his brain already churning. “Taichi! Go get Omi! Make him take over dinner duty to make something normal to eat! Sakuya, you and Tenma intercept the director and distract her while she’s putting away the groceries. Make sure she doesn’t start prepping those ingredients! Tsuzuru, you’re with me! ‘Operation: No Curry’ officially starts right now!”
“You’re the boss, boss!” Taichi responded, jumping to his feet with a salute. Despite having been glued to the floor in exhaustion mere moments ago, it was as if the thought of eating hot and spicy curry in the heat had shot energy through his veins. A second later, he was dashing out of the lounge to hunt down his roommate.
Almost immediately afterwards, Izumi and Tsumugi walked through the door, hands weighed down with numerous shopping bags.
“We’re back!”
“D-Director! Let us help you with those groceries!!” Tenma exclaimed, scrambling off his chair.
“You should sit down, Izumi! You must be tired!” Sakuya said, taking the grocery bags from her arms and passing them to Tenma.
“H-Huh? Oh, you don’t have to do that—Whoa!” Izumi started to protest, but a moment later, Sakuya had already forcibly pushed her to sit down on the couch.
“TSUMUGI! We need to talk to you!!” Banri jumped in immediately.
“Th-That’s right! It’s urgent!” Tsuzuru added, taking his cue from Banri. He took the bags from Tsumugi and dropped them on the table before joining the Autumn Troupe leader in pushing Tsumugi into the hallway.
“W-Wait, what’s wrong, you two?!” Tsumugi exclaimed in confusion as the two younger boys jostled him out of the lounge.
As soon as they were in the hallway, Banri and Tsuzuru cornered Tsumugi against the wall.
“Tsumugi…” Banri’s voice lowered as he stared intently at the older man. “How could you betray us?”
“B-Betray?” Tsumugi gasped, looking back at Banri with wide eyes.
“You went grocery shopping with the director. It was your duty to stop her from buying ingredients for curry,” Tsuzuru added in an equally grave voice.
“Huh? Is this what this is about?” Tsumugi said with a chuckle.
“This is no laughing matter! It’s so DAMN hot!! How could you let her make curry for us in this heat?!” Banri responded, shaking Tsumugi by the shoulders.
“Ahaha, er, well, she was really gung ho about it. Saying how the best way to beat the heat was to overpower it with more heat. Something about sweating would cool your skin off?”
“We’ll die, Tsumugi. If we have to eat extra spicy curry in this heat, we’ll literally die,” Tsuzuru responded bluntly, his eyes already looking half-dead.
“Look, Hisoka’s already dead from the heat – we’ll be next,” Banri stated, suddenly pointing down the hallway. Sure enough, Hisoka was splayed out face down on the floor in the middle of the corridor.
“H-Hisoka?! Maybe we should check on him?!”
“No, we’ll take care of him later. You have something more important to do,” Tsuzuru replied, waving his hand casually.
“I do?!”
“You need to get Izumi out of the dorms so that she can’t cook dinner,” Banri responded. “We need her far and away from here. Distract her for the next two or three hours while we get Omi to cook instead. He isn’t a curry freak and will make us something normal to eat.”
“But, why me? I’m actually fine with eating curry—”
“No, it’s your responsibility. You have to atone for your crime.”
“What crime?!”
“Let’s go!”
And in another whirlwind of limbs, Tsumugi was suddenly shoved back into the lounge and pushed in front of Izumi, still seated on the couch where Sakuya and Tenma were bombarding her with (fake) questions about the script in Sakuya’s hands.
“Izumi!” Tsuzuru hollered.
“Tsumugi has something to tell you!” Banri announced, clapping Tsumugi on the shoulder with an iron grip.
“Hmm? What is it, Tsumugi?”
“Uh… Umm… I… I…” Tsumugi stuttered – what exactly was he supposed to say?!
His eyes flickered from Izumi’s face to Tenma’s, and then Sakuya’s, and then landed on a magazine on the coffee table before them. Flustered, Tsumugi snatched up the magazine and pointed to the cover without really reading it.
“Th-This! I-I need to go here. With you. Right now!”
Everyone froze as they all stared at the front of the magazine. It was a bridal magazine, probably Yuki’s for costume design inspiration if the bear-shaped sticky notes sticking out of the pages indicated anything. The front-page splash was a photograph of a church with bright and bold words written across that read: ‘Top 10 Churches in Tokyo to Hold your Summer Wedding!’
No one seemed to know what to say. A cold bead of sweat dripped down the back of Tsumugi’s neck. Finally, after what felt like ages, Tsuzuru was the first to recover.
“Th-That’s right! This is for that… that guest performance that you have tomorrow right, Tsumugi? You were telling me about how you had to play a groom!”
“Y-Yes! I… I just realized that it would be good to get in some last minute practice! I figure this would really immerse me in the role – being at an actual church!” Tsumugi ad-libbed, working off of Tsuzuru’s line.
“H-Huh? B-but why do you need me there?” Izumi asked, stunned.
“Well, it would be better to practice with an opposing actor, wouldn’t it?” Banri replied.
“In that case, I should definitely not go with you – you know I can’t act,” Izumi dismissed breezily. “If Tsumugi needs someone to practice with, why don’t one of you go? It’ll be good practice in case any of you play a female role in the future! Anyway, I need to get started on dinner—”
Banri suddenly elbowed Tsumugi in the ribs and the older man, literally spurred into action, fell to his knees and grabbed Izumi’s hands in his own. Suddenly, it looked like a switch had been turned on, and his expression changed completely.
“No, it has to be you, Izumi,” Tsumugi said softly, his face serious and intense. His hands grasped hers tighter, gently drawing them closer to his chest, and he leaned his upper body closer towards her. “I want to make my practice as realistic as possible – to be as immersed in the scenario as much as I can. I could only do that with you as my practice partner. As my bride. After all… you’re the one I love, Izumi.”
For the third time within the past ten minutes, the entire room fell silent. They had all unconsciously been drawn into Tsumugi’s performance, and his sudden confession had been so heartfelt that every one of them had stopped breathing. Izumi could only stare back at Tsumugi with a slack jaw, wide eyes and bright red cheeks.
“Won’t you come with me, Izumi? Won’t you be my bride?” Tsumugi asked softly, one hand reaching up to cup her cheek tenderly and his eyes looking up at her imploringly.
“O-Okay,” Izumi answered, half out of shock.
“You don’t know how happy you’ve made me, Izumi! Let’s go then – the boys will take care of dinner,” Tsumugi replied with a wide, toothy grin.
He gently tugged Izumi to her feet, intertwined their fingers and swiftly led her out of the lounge by the hand. As the door closed behind them, the remaining actors could only look at each other in disbelief.
“Tsumugi… He was acting just now, right?” Sakuya asked.
“Wow, he seriously is a pro when it comes to those subtle emotions – He hooked me right in…” Tenma responded with a shake of his head.
“No kidding… But, well, that’s that! Let’s go check on Taichi and Omi and get this non-curry dinner started! I’d say ‘Operation: No Curry’ is a grand success,” Tsuzuru added, clapping his hands together.
“Of course it was a success – I was the one who came up with it, after all,” Banri boasted, already heading towards the dorms.
“Hey! Somen! I want somen! Do you think Omi would make somen tonight?!” Tenma exclaimed excitedly.
“Oh yeah, someone needs to go check on Hisoka… I think he’s still sleeping in the hallway,” Banri remarked, suddenly remembering the older man.
“Uh, I hope he’s just sleeping…” Tsuzuru muttered, causing Sakuya to whip his head to look at him in alarm.
“Wait, what?! What happened to Hisoka?!”
Tumblr media
Outside of the Mankai Company, Tsumugi led the still-dumbstruck Izumi up a side street, distinctly aware of the feeling of her hand held tight in his. They proceeded in silence for a few minutes until they arrived at a nearby park, where Tsumugi finally slowed down their steps.
“Izumi, let’s take a quick break here,” he said, sitting her onto a bench under the shade of a nearby tree.
“Oh! Ah, sure, sounds good,” Izumi responded, finally recovered from her stupor.
“I’ll be right back!” Tsumugi said, before he quickly jogged over to a vending machine. Pulling out his wallet, he counted out a few hundred yen and bought a bottle of cold green tea. Returning to Izumi, he suddenly dipped himself into a bow and proffered the bottle to her.
“I’m sorry, Izumi! I tricked you just now! I don’t have any guest performances tomorrow – I don’t need to practice anything! Please accept this drink as an apology!”
Izumi stared owlishly at the drink floating in front of her face. A moment later, after Tsumugi’s words sunk in, she let out a laugh.
“Oh man, you really surprised me earlier! We had just been together too, and you didn’t mention anything about a guest performance, so I was so shocked when you came out of nowhere and said all of that!” she replied, taking the drink out of his hands. “And, of course you’re forgiven – though there’s nothing to forgive, really. But, why did you trick me anyway?”
“Ahaha… Well, I’m sure it’s obvious in hindsight, but Banri and Tsuzuru asked me to do it. Er, well, maybe that’s not quite right. Rather they asked me to distract you and get you out of the dorms,” he responded sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck with one hand.
“Huh? Why did they want you to do that?”
“Errr, something about wanting to make dinner… or something,” he responded evasively, his eyes glancing away briefly before returning to her face and crinkling into a mischievous smile. “But, well, since we’re already out here, why don’t we honour their wishes and go enjoy ourselves for a bit? We could go somewhere with aircon, since we don’t have it on at home.”
“Oooh, that’s actually a great idea! Let’s go to the shopping mall, then! I haven’t had a chance to browse around for a while!” she replied.
“That sounds good to me,” Tsumugi agreed, falling into step beside her as they started walking again. They were only a few inches apart, and Tsumugi felt his hand twitch, wanting to reach across the short distance to grab a hold of hers again.
“But you know… you never cease to impress me with your acting, Tsumugi,” Izumi said suddenly, turning her head to give him a smile.
“Oh?” Tsumugi prompted. He could feel his heart rate quickening.
“When you grabbed my hands and confessed that you loved me… I couldn’t tell you were acting at all – it felt so real. You seriously made my heart beat so fast! My face felt like it was on fire! I’m so embarrassed!” Izumi responded, looking away shyly. She held the bottle of tea up to her face, trying to cool off her flushed cheeks.
“Ah, that’s probably because I wasn’t acting…” Tsumugi muttered quietly, half hoping that the woman next to him heard.
A second passed by without a response. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw that Izumi continued to walk without having missed a step – still smiling normally as she held the bottle to her cheek – and he knew that his words had been drowned out by the call of the cicadas.

This ended on a much more wistful note than I had intended, haha. But, maybe that’s just how it was meant to go since I was working with Tsumugi! Precious Tsumugi is my second favourite A3! boy, so I’m happy to write something where he gets a bit more of the spotlight! I also had a lot of fun writing the silly, overdramatic Mankai teenagers (and poor Tsumugi who got roped in), so hopefully you all had fun reading!
A3! Week 2020 is almost over at this point, but I will still be putting out content for the rest of the prompts that I haven’t gotten to yet! Please stay tuned if you’re interested, and likes and reblogs are always appreciated! Thank you~

10+36+4 julian/gn reader/lucio maybe? love your writing so much btw 💞💖💝💕💗💓💘❤️
Hello my love!! My sunshine!! My sunflower!! I hope you are still in the mood for some Julian/You/Lucio action because do I have something wonderful for you.
A bit of backstory: I have always been so fascinated and in love with and fucking s o f t for Russian diminutive names.
So that’s what I wanted to play around with, here. Some soft boy business™ where Julian tries out some soft, wonderful nicknames for Lucio who at first is absolutely horrified but then comes around when he realises the meaning behind using them.
EDIT: I’ve been educated and assisted by the absolutely wonderful @help-devorak-stole-my-heart who answered every single one of my questions about Russian diminutives and suffixes and intimate and familiar names. I learned that the correct forms of Lucio’s names would be Lyudya or Lyusya for friends, and Lyudochka or Lyusenka for parents or lovers in more intimate situations (HOW COOL IS THAT !!!!!!! Can you imagine Julian pulling Lucio close and just sighing Lyudochka into his ear? hnggggg). I’ve adjusted the names in this accordingly, so if you see a slightly different version floating around from earlier reblogs, thats why!
**
Anyway, IT’S DAY 6 BUT REALLY DAY 7 BECAUSE I’M FUCKIN LATE A G A I N OF POLY WEEK!
[Day One | Day Two | Day Three | Day Four | Day Five]
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lucio/You/Julian. Gender-neutral reader, no pronouns used, genitals not specified. Lemon.
During a soft evening in bed together, you take control of your two bickering boys, and Julian trials out some new affectionate names for Lucio, who immediately hates them. Lucio/Julian/You sandwich. Julian gets you off with his mouth while Lucio fucks him from behind. Sleepy cuddles after. Lucio eventually doesn’t entirely hate the names. 2721 words.
Prompts: “I want them to hear us, maybe then they’ll get the message” and “I want to hear you say it, slut.”
**
Lucio exhales into your ear, the noise a strange mix of a whine and a growl that only he has ever seemed to have perfected. His hands are roaming over your trembling body, stretched out along the bed beneath him. The insistent press of his cock against your thigh as he grinds softly into you, as he lets out his impatient little noises, already has your cheekbones flushed, your mouth dry from the thirst he is drawing from you.
“I’m here! I’m here—” Julian’s voice is hurried, a little pitched, though even if he hadn’t announced himself it would have been evident from the stumble, thunk, curse that followed as he moved for the bed.
Lucio exhales again, entirely a growl this time, and pulls back to throw Julian a sneer. “Next time you should try taking the long way to my rooms!”
Julian quirks an eyebrow as he drops himself down onto the bed beside you. He places his hands behind his head and settles in with a devilish grin.
“No one likes a pouter, Lyusenka,” he returns. He turns his head toward you, winking.
Lucio shifts above you, rolling his eyes. “I told you not to call me that.”
“You call me ‘Jules’,” Julian defends, his still-there grin showing he is losing no steam and actually having a pretty fantastic time. He nods to you. “And your ‘pet’ is laid out beneath you. Why can’t I have a lovely nickname for you, too?”
“Because the ‘nickname’ is no shorter than my actual name. What’s the point?”
“Oh ho!” Julian sticks his bottom lip out in a mocking pout, then rolls over to press his lips to your ear. “I think someone is a little sangry.”
You smirk and turn your gaze to Lucio as the doctor takes your earlobe between his teeth and rolls it gently, along with his entire body along the length of yours as he sidles closer. Indeed, Lucio was sex starved and angry about it. Always so impatient to get his gratification in any form.
Just as Julian’s hand begins to work its way under your clothes, and just as you release a quiet and content little sigh, Lucio smacks the hand away. He leans back over you, hands to either side of your head, and grinds against your thigh with much the same impatient sigh as he had before Julian had arrived.
“Lucio?” You ask. He makes a noise that seems vaguely like he heard you, his movements not ceasing. “Would you let me be in charge today?”
His body gives such a violent shudder that you think, just for a moment, he has already come,  straight into his slacks. And his shoulders are so tight, and he is still for so long afterward, neither of which do much to change your mind.
But then he lifts his head, and you see that wicked glint in his eye, and his entire body rolls against yours, letting you feel his still very-much stiff and aching cock as he leans into your neck.
“As you wish,” he purrs.
“But we have to be quiet today,” you tell him. “I don’t want people to hear us again. No servants, no guests.”
Lucio grins at your demands, teeth glinting as he pushes the hair from your face.
“Well I want them to hear us. I want them to know exactly who my lovers are, exactly what you do to me any time you open those perfect fucking lips of yours.”
You know by now there is no point in arguing with him. Lucio is a man who needs to brag, who needs to parade himself or others, comfort himself that your love is real by showing it to the world.
So instead of arguing, you nod for him to get off. There’s a slight downturn to his lips. He eyes you for a moment, as though reconsidering his choice, before sitting back on his feet to wait for you.
“Ilya,” you murmur. You turn your gaze toward him, watch the excited flush make its way over his nose and cheekbones as you bite your lip. “Come closer.”
He scrambles to do so, his eyes wide as he settles between your parted thighs. Lucio has to shuffle back to accommodate Julian’s long body, putting him even further from you. You eye is downturned lips as they become more pronounced; you know you could call him out on his pout, but it’s so much more delightful when he thinks he’s not being attended to at all.
Keeping your eyes locked with Lucio’s, a small quirk to your lips, you address Julian again. “Do you want to play?”
Julian laughs, leaning forward to nuzzle against your jaw. “Oh ho. My love, my little kotenok, you know I always do.”
“Can you make me feel good with that wonderful mouth of yours?”
He hums into you, placing a single kiss where your jaw and ear meet before murmuring, “Anything you ask for.”
He kisses down your body in long, wet kisses that leave each patch of skin he finds—and he finds every patch that he can—damp and shivering from the light chill of the night’s air. His hands follow the trail of his lips, smoothing down your chest, your stomach, your hips, praising each part of you he touches. Lucio, who hasn’t let himself so much as blink while keeping his gaze locked with yours, shifts impatiently at the foot of the bed.
“Ilya?” You ask. Julian murmurs a response, and you dig your hand in his hair as he moves aside your clothing to kiss the patch of skin just above where you want him. “Lyusenka is pouting.”
Julian laughs into your skin, the sound a delightful lilt that rolls his entire body. He tilts his head up to look at you, his fingertips fiddling with your clothes to strip you bare as he speaks.
“Lyusenka isn’t used to being left out of the games,” he replies. His tongue darts out to lick a hot little line up the inside your thigh, and you let out a soft moan as your gaze flickers back up to Lucio.
“I won’t have you both using that ridiculous name,” he seethes. Though it’s more of a grumble, and you don’t miss the way his bottom lip sticks out a little more than usual as he glances off.
“Well, it just so happens that tonight is the one night where what you want doesn’t seem to matter,” Julian counters, then he ads to you, “My love, may I?”
His mouth is hovering just above where you want him, so close you can feel every moment of every hot little breath he exhales, the shake of his lips as he waits for your answer. You retract and extend your fingers in his hair, causing him to close his eyes and purr.
“Lyusenka,” you murmur. He refuses to look at you, so you say again, so softly, “Lucio.” He looks, and you can see the shift in his body as his gaze rakes down yours, settling on Julian, waiting so desperately to begin devouring you with his mouth.
It is this sight, somehow, that finally makes Lucio shift a little closer, to reach out and place a hand on your hip, his fingertips curling into the feel of your bare skin.
“What is it you need from me, pet?” He asks.
“Will you let me watch as you make Ilya writhe on your cock, while he pleasures me with his mouth?”
That delightfully wicked glint finally returns to Lucio’s eyes, his teeth showing as he grins his predatory grin at you.
“Anything you ask for,” he murmurs.
Things move so quickly, then. Julian opens his eyes to look up to you, and when you breathe out and nod to him, he immediately descends on you with his mouth. Of the two, Julian is the most knowing when it comes to your body; he knows every way his tongue should curve around you, every spot to press his fingers into to make you sigh and cry out. You know he would eat you out for hours, get you off as many times as you wanted if only you would let him, but somehow Lucio’s petulance and all of your duties to the city get in the way.
Lucio himself has already returned from the dresser, a bottle of lubricant in hand as he shifts Julian’s pants down with the other. Julian trembles against you, a movement followed soon by his long, high-pitched whine at the feel of the lubricant sliding down between his cheeks.
“Oh, Ilya,” you sigh to him. He looks up to you, pulling away for a moment to gain his breath. His eyes are wide, lips parted, skin wet around them. You crook your fingers in his hair again, and his lips twist into a wicked little grin as he leans into your touch.
“So good to me, my love,” he groans. “What did I ever do to deserve such a wondrous gift?”
Lucio lets out a groan of agreement, your eyes flickering up to catch him with his cock in his gloved hand, while his other works at relaxing and stretching Julian’s hole. You can tell each time his fingers crook in just the right place or stretch Julian a little further, because the doctor releases a tiny little whimper between your legs, the sound sending sensation into all the right places.
After a few minutes of pressing and coaxing, Lucio shifts his hips closer to press the head of his cock against Julian. You pull Julian’s head up by his hair so you can watch as Lucio pushes his way in, slow and agonising and just the way that makes Julian’s jaw drop and his eyes roll into the back of his head. It is by far, your favourite look on him, and one that has your thighs trembling and abdomen clenching with the threat of a too-soon orgasm.
“O-oh! Ah—Lucio—Lyusya—” Julian’s groans are intermixed with incoherent babble, languages you both know and don’t as he presses back against Lucio to try to take his cock a little deeper, a little faster.
“Yes!” You hiss the word out through your teeth, followed by a cry as Julian’s fingers hit the most perfect fucking spot inside of you.
Once he is fully seated, Lucio wastes no time in making Julian cry out, his fingers pressing into Julian’s hips, leaving little bruises as the doctor squirms and whimpers against you. The sight of Lucio’s head thrown back, his jaw twitching as Julian clenches around him and whimpers and begs for his cock to be deeper, harder, more, has your entire body shivering, your mind near delirious.
You come so suddenly, so much faster than you had anticipated, that the world seems to spot black for a few moments. You gasp and cry out as your orgasm crashes into you, all memories of commanding yourselves into silence banished from your mind, your fingers clenching Julian’s hair tight enough to pull strands, stopping his mouth from moving from its exact location as you buck and squirm against it.
Lucio laughs at your cries and screams, the sounds seeming to rejuvenate him and bring back the pieces of his dominant self he couldn’t seem to quite push down far enough.
“Oh pet, louder, I know you can be louder!”
You clench your jaw as Julian’s mouth—locked in place, not having stopped any of its attentions and affections on you—brings another wave of pleasure crashing into you. You arch up into him, your cries almost completely drowning out Julian’s own as Lucio pulls the doctor away from you and back against his chest.
Both arms are wrapped around Julian’s heaving chest, locking him in place as Lucio nuzzles into Julian’s neck. Then, his eyes move downward, and his gaze flicks up to lock with yours, and the haze of your orgasm has cleared just enough for you to see the glint there.
“Poor Ilya has been so neglected,” Lucio croons. Your eyes drop down to where Julian’s cock is bobbing, red and hot and thick, against his lower abdomen. You lick your lips, and Lucio groans out. “Be nice to him, pet. He was so nice to you.”
You are too starved for the taste of Julian to care about how quickly Lucio switched you all again, that you had seemingly had all of 10 seconds of control before he had taken it from you again.
You drop to your stomach in front of Julian, immediately taking him in your hand and licking a clean line up the underside of him.
He sighs as you take the tip of him into your lips, sucking gently then hollowing your cheeks out to bob your head down onto him. “Ah! Oh—ho, my love, yes—such a wonderful mouth, such a wonderful tongue—”
You suck a little harder, pulling on him with the movement while cupping his sack. He twitches against your tongue, and the rocking of his hips thanks to Lucio’s furious movements sends him a little further in.
You pull off with a gasp, leaving little strings of spit between your lips and the tip. You lick them away, taking the salty taste of his pre-cum along with them.
“Please!” Julian groans. His fingers are flexing, trying to get to you to pull your mouth back onto his cock, but Lucio’s arm merely tighten around him. “Please, my love, please—”
Lucio cuts in then, his voice sharp and low as he nuzzles almost affectionately into Julian’s hair. “Not please. I want to hear you say it, my perfect little slut.”
“P-please let me come, my love,” Julian groans to you, his hooded gaze dropping to find yours, pleading. “Please suck me off, please swallow every drop—”
He is cut off by his own groan, his body giving a quiet shudder as you take him back into your mouth and he comes barely a moment later, the salty taste of him hitting your tongue as you softly moan against him, suck every drop from his throbbing cock.
You pull off with a soft pop, noticing that Lucio’s movements have stilled. You glance up to him, curious, only to find he is already looking at you. Keeping you captive with his gaze, Lucio runs a hand through Julian’s hair, places a kiss to his temple, then lets him crumple onto the bed beside you.
“Come here, pet.”
He meets you halfway, smashing his lips to yours while both hands tangle in your hair and half-removed clothes. His tongue sweeps into your mouth, tasting Julian’s seed, swallowing every soft moan and whimper you give him as he grinds against your leg, his own seed spurting over your thighs and stomach a few moments later.
Closing your eyes, you release a soft sigh into his mouth. His movements slow, and you allow him to lower you to the bed beside Julian, whose hooded gaze is watching you with an affection that makes your chest tight.
“That was hardly fair,” Julian murmurs to you. “Lyusenka let you have control for barely a few moments.”
Lucio shifts in close behind you, tugging you back into his chest with his golden arm. The claws stroke lightly up and down your arm, making you shiver.
“Unfortunately,” he says, voice low. “There are some things you just can’t change about me.”
“No arguments about the name?” You ask.
Lucio smiles into your shoulder before pressing a soft kiss there, his lips lingering there as he speaks. “No, my love. No arguments about the name.”
Julian, eyes now closed and jaw a little slack in his half-sleep state, murmurs his appreciation. You reach out to push his hair out of his patched eye, and he brings a hand to your wrist to nuzzle into your hand before kissing your palm.
“Good night, my loves,” he murmurs, before his chest settles into the steady rise-and-fall of sleep.
You and Lucio follow soon after, and the last thing you hear before the peaceful darkness settles, right when he thinks you have already been taken and cannot hear him, is the Count murmuring a soft I love you into your shoulder.

Phoenix Protocol 10
Zavala x Awoken Female Warlock | Mid/Post Forsaken | Slowburn | Gratuitous Descriptions of Light | Self-Confidence/Self-Worth Issues | Redemption
When the Traveler’s Light was returned to the Guardians after the defeat of the Cabal, it did not manifest itself the same in everyone. Miyu, an Awoken Warlock, finds herself struggling with her abilities, her Light feeling different and not her own. With her Vanguard preoccupied with grief and all eyes turned to the Reef, she finds herself turning to an unlikely source in an attempt to rediscover her connection to the Light and define what it means for her as a Sunsinger.

There is a definitive weight to her gaze, when he sees her the following evening.
“Ikora did not have time to speak with me,” She confesses immediately, as if guilty she was unable to fulfill her end of the bargain. Her eyes are downcast. “I tried several times.”
He does not comment, only nodding once.
“She told me to come back another day,” Miyu scoffs, her anger still boiling, threatening to spill over. “How is it that the Vanguard Commander has time for me, but my own Vanguard does not?” When she looks up, she’s drawn to his gaze. She holds up her hands, her eyes widening in a mix of fear and concern, “Forgive me. I should not have said that aloud.”
“It can be frustrating,” He admits. “She seems to find any manner of thing to occupy her time these days.”
Her brows pull together. “Are you agreeing with me?”
The Commander does not comment, looking away as if perhaps he had said nothing at all. Leaving her to infer what she will.
The porcelain skinned Warlock giggles. It is a tiny, understated sound, like wind chimes on a clear morning, airy and light. She flushes, and it’s only then that he realizes he’s staring. “I’m sorry,” She says, looking down and away.
“Your laugh,” He says, suddenly finding himself on unsteady footing. “I do not believe I’ve heard it before.”
Quicksilver eyes blink, and soften. “I don’t know the last time I have,” She muses. “It’s been a while.”
“You should find reasons to do so more,” He replies, and she shifts, her posture demonstrating rapt attention. It means something, what he’s said to her. It’s caught her off guard, he realizes.
Does no one care for this petite Warlock, at all? He ponders it for a moment. The smallest amount of positive attention surprises her, his concern makes her uncomfortable. Not even her Vanguard seems to spare her a moment.
“Miyu, do-” He thinks on it. “Do you like it here?”
She frowns. “Do I… like it here,” Her lips parse the words as if they’re difficult to comprehend. “I don’t dislike it, I suppose. The City is my home.”
He sighs, speaking far more freely. “Others do not treat you well.”
“Most,” She replies. “Those I would consider friends are stationed far away or engrossed in their work without time to spare. We know our duty, though.” The Warlock looks at him, her eyes curious. “What is this about?”
Zavala pauses. What is this about, indeed. Even his Ghost seems to hover on the edge of his consciousness, her own curiosity piqued. “I suppose I... find myself worried that you do not have enough support.”
She looks up at him, her gaze bright and soft in equal measure. “Tamash- Ghost has always looked out for me.”
The Commander tilts his head to the side, as her Ghost appears immediately, looking very alert and confused. His gold-trimmed cones twitch before he circles and hovers carefully over her shoulder.
“And I have you,” She murmurs.
Miyu looks down and away, and whether it’s from embarrassment at her openness or being just plain shy, Zavala is outrageously grateful. His Ghost, takes that moment to prod thoughtfully at their link in his mind with something that’s still almost childlike in tone, but very unapologetic in reminding him that she absolutely told him so. This isn’t just helping. Zavala doesn’t just help. He gets invested, especially when it’s something worthwhile. And helping this wayward Warlock find a way to accept and be accepted by the Light ablaze inside her is exactly that.
His Ghost nudges him lightly, on the outskirts of his mind. It’s okay, you know, Adelaide says, just to him. I think she’s sweet. And I want us to help her, too. He thinks back to her that it isn’t okay, that this is wholly inappropriate. She’s seeking him out for help, not... whatever this is that’s giving him these new feelings.
“I’m sorry,” Miyu apologizes, “If that sounds a bit forward. I just… if you value someone,” She looks at her Ghost, who dips his entire being in the affirmative, as if he’s coaxing courage into her with his watchfulness, “I’ve learned it’s important to tell them so. Battles, wars, there’s a lot out there and... I feel like you might understand.”
The nod he gives her is slight, but his insides burn like they’ve touched fire. Damn it all if he doesn’t know just what she means.
-/
He’s late.
It’s the life of a public servant. His version of on time - if he has his way, is to arrive at least ten minutes early. Rarely does he get his way, though. Most times, he’s double - even triple - booked on meetings. If he has a spare moment, it’s typically stolen by someone or something trivial that spirals right out of control.
The Warlock is stretched in an elegant pose, sword extended straight out in front of her. Her hair is pulled back into a small bun at the base of her neck, and it’s clear by the way she focuses her breathing that she’s been at it for a while. That’s fair. He’s only... forty-five minutes later than their agreed upon time.
“I’m sorry,” He says, by way of greeting. “I-”
“It’s fine.” She tips her head to the side, concealing her blade without so much as a look at the sheath at her side. “I heard the Consensus meeting was a bit, uh,” She looks up at him with those bright eyes of hers and smiles as she approaches him. “Tense?”
He laughs. Well and truly laughs. It’s a deep, almost melodic sound for such a stoic, serious man. “Where did you hear that,” He asks, when he’s almost composed himself.
A shrug of shoulders and a tiny quirk of her lip gives her away. “Shaxx.”
“Shaxx?” His brows draw together, one arching as he regards her. “He does not normally share such sensitive information with those beneath him.”
That quirk of her lips dip into a smirk that’s almost too playful for him to equate to her. “Beneath him,” She tuts, her words dashed with a splash of something amused. “How old do you think I am, Commander?”
His step backward surprises them both. Her, because she believes she’s put him off, and him, because paired with what she’d said about battle days before, makes him truly reassess her.
“Not as old as me,” He finally settles on, giving her a once over that strikes her as proud.
Too proud to admit he has no idea.
“That’s likely true,” She agrees and lets it drop.
Their top priority is making sure that she gets the last of the measurements she requires. Afterward, they discuss the pull of Light, his personal relationship with the Void, from where she stands, under the dome of his protection.
“It held against the Cabal,” He says, when she prods the fading ripple of void as it dissipates. “In the initial assault.”
“I heard,” She agrees. “It’s impressive, you know.”
“So I’ve been told,” He replies. “It did not matter, in the end.”
“It did,” She says, softly. “There were hundreds of Guardians who made it out of the Plaza because of you, who otherwise would have died. I was one of them.”
It’s not that far fetched, he realizes. It would make sense that she had been there. Despite himself, he says, “I do not remember seeing you there.”
“My hair was longer,” She muses, “But I was wearing my helmet. Those ceremonial robes we all had on didn’t help much, either.”
“Were you on one of the shuttles?”
“No. I got out early, went into the streets. When they caged the Traveler,” She sighs. “I was casting Dawnblade. The Cabal nearly killed Tamashii,” Zavala looks at the Ghost who flutters against her cheek in gentle comfort. “I felt like I’d been cut in half,” She finally admits.
“You almost did,” Her Ghost replies to that, “You-” but Miyu shakes her head, as if speaking about it is too much.
Zavala can understand that, feeling the phantom pain of a slug in his side that he’ll never forget, no matter how many times he continues to rise. “We’re here now,” He exhales, looks up at the looming, glowing form in the sky.
“May it be enough,” Miyu replies, rocking back on her heels.
“It is,” He stands before her, blocking out the great white machine, one hand on each of her shoulders. “You are.”
Her eyes flutter shut, and they stand that way for a few moments, until she blinks her silver-white eyes open and asks, “May I try to cast now?”
He nods. “Are you changing any of your variables?”
“Yes.” She inhales deep and exhales as she summons a healing rift beneath their feet. “I’ve been thinking about the sword being heavy. I’m not going to throw it, but you should stand back.”
“Okay,” He agrees. “Let me know if there’s something I can do.”
“Stand with him,” She says to her Ghost. “I don’t want to take any chances.”
When she reaches for the fire that lives within her, it lights easily. Her fingers twitch against the heat, but the sword forms without issue. Holding it out in front of her, she thinks of the vision she’d had on Mars.
Down.
A single candle.
She plunges the sword into the ground. The flames lick her robes, but nothing else seems to happen. She waits, summoning another sword as the rift runs out. The first sword remains the longest, an extra handful of seconds before it too winks to light and ash. She looks down at her hands.
“Ghost,” She calls. The damage to her hands is minimal, but she can smell the burning fabric of her robes. She sighs.
He answers dutifully. “I can heal it, at least,” He says as he sets her hands to rights.
Zavala steps forward. “Try again in a few moments. Give yourself time.”
His patience is impressive, Miyu thinks, watching him watch her out of the corner of her eye. She wonders, for a moment, how he would be as a solar Titan, but shakes her head. She can’t imagine him summoning a flaming hammer.
Eventually the repetition catches up to her. Where she’d been unblemished, small blisters remained when Ghost tried to heal her, and where the solar fire seemed contained, it began to spiral up and up until she herself was consumed. When she wakes following resurrection, it’s with a start as she finds herself nearly nose-to-nose with the Vanguard Commander.
“What was that?” He asks, sounding angry. “I asked you to stop before it got to that point,” He barks at her roughly.
“I just want it to work,” She replies as she sits up, frustrated enough to push herself away, growling, “I have to figure it out, Zavala. I have to. It’s driving me crazy. What am I missing? Why can’t I do this? Why is it not enough?”
“Stop thinking,” He urges her. “You’re thinking too hard. How do you feel?”
“Raw.” Her eyes narrow, and her hand clutches her chest, over her heart. “It hurts.”
“Is that how you felt, casting Dawnblade, before?”
She shakes her head.
“Tell me about it,” He says, sitting cross legged in front of her. “Describe to me how it felt.”
When her eyes close, he watches her compose herself, watches her reflect. There’s no question that she’s capable of wielding the Light, but there’s some barrier preventing her from using it, from untangling it from her soul and calling upon it to utilize at will. Dark lashes beat against alabaster cheeks, and starlight skitters across her skin in fractal patterns. She does not open her eyes when she speaks.
“Vibrant,” She whispers through parted lips. “Powerful. Alive.” After a moment, she opens her eyes, twin tears dropping down pale cheeks. “Warm. It was so warm.”
Her Ghost hovers toward them, but stops at a loaded glance from Zavala.
“I’m so afraid I’ll never feel that way, again,” She confesses. “It - when I lost my Light, it burned so badly I thought I’d died. I thought I’d look down at my throwing arm and it’d be gone. But, there was nothing. It was like it’d never been mine at all, like I’d made it up in my head.” She inhales. “No one believed me. The ones who’d been using their Light when it had been ripped away were rare. Scarred. I have scars,” She says. “Mine are just… different. Like instead of being broken where someone can see, it’s inside of me.”
This time, when Ghost moves forward, he does so even with Zavala holding a hand out to discourage him in an effort to keep her talking.
“Tamashii,” She calls, asking a question that Zavala misses, stuck on the shadows in her gaze.
A small box appears between them with the shimmering glow of transmat.
She turns it toward the man across from her, an arm’s length away. Her eyes dip in time with her chin in a serious nod.
He takes it as permission, and opens the box carefully, reverently.
A cracked ghost shell sits beside a bond that looks like obsidian or lava rock. It’s black and smooth metal. He doesn’t realize that she’s moved, but she kneels in front of him, lifting the bond from the box carefully. A pale yellow light emerges from the side of it, flickering as if it’s short circuited. It’s the ceremonial bond she’d been wearing, the one given to war-decorated Warlocks, he realizes. The combination of triangles that makes the Warlock sigil is gone, and the bond itself is completely smooth. It had burned. It had burned hot.
The Commander catalogs that and eyes the shell. “You said you thought the Cabal had gotten to your Ghost.”
“He used the last of his Light to blind them, to give us time to escape. They took a swipe, but I managed to pull him away from them in time to prevent a direct attack to his core. Neither of us could think straight. I think we were in shock.”
Her ghost flutters down, resting carefully between her legs, on the crease created by their bend while she kneels. Her fingers trace the top fin of his shell deftly.
“You can’t be the only one,” He says.
“Most have made peace with their Light through pilgrimage,” She says. “To the Shard or Io.” At the sharp breath he takes, she continues, “I visited both. Ikora had sent me back again, after a time. It’s no use.”
“There has to be an answer,” Zavala tells her. “I refuse to believe there isn’t.”
“There is,” Adelaide pipes up, from her usual spot over the Commander’s left shoulder. All eyes find the child-like ghost. She shoots a beam of light directly at the Warlock’s chest, over her heart, before scanning the rest of her in a wide sweep. “It’s inside her. Whatever is holding her back, it isn’t the Light.” She eyes the other Ghost, her segments spinning and shifting like she’s thinking on how to phrase her words. “Would you agree?”

Freakin’ Mistletoe
This is a SPN Secret Santa gift for @luciathewinchestergirl
I was planning a drabble (exactly 100 words) but it got out of hand and ended up exactly 1500 instead. And taking 3 days instead of a couple hours.
Dear Lucia, I hope you like it. It’s a little bit CrackFic, and all in fun.
After the SS reveal, I’m plan to add it to my AO3 account.
No explicitly written relationships. I think. Hints of them, yeah, but I believe anyone should be able to read it without being offended or triggered.
(GIF is not mine, and added to catch the eye, and only slightly related to the story. A bit.)
Tumblr media
Jack had been reading about Christmas traditions. This was pretty much his first Christmas, since the previous December, they’d all kinda been in A Bad Place and nobody’d had time to even acknowledge the holiday.
When Jack read something about mistletoe, he scurried down that rabbit hole and learned that not only was it tradition to kiss under the greenery, but that it had been used to ward off demons and evil spirits, once upon a time. And the source mentioned witchcraft. And he knew a witch personally, one he thought was nice, and had tried to save his life. So, of course, he called Rowena to ask her opinion on mistletoe.
Rowena being Rowena, and probably having Ulterior Motives as witches often do – even witches who are Trying to Reform and Do Good Things From Now On – played it up and encouraged Jack to hang mistletoe in every single doorway of the bunker, even those doorways which only opened upon a supply closet. She must have supplied the kid with piles of the plant as well as red velvet ribbon, because the bunker had a heck of a lot of doorways and archways, and a fancy-red-bowed bundle of the stuff was now hanging in EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. And after all of those were decorated, Jack had started hanging it in random places in the middle of rooms.
Rowena’s reasoning to Jack was, and I quote, “just for a wee bit of a backup, in case all of the Men of Letters’ fancy complicated warding fails. Besides….who doesn’t like a bit of kissing during the holidays!” Dean didn’t know what her game was, but he didn’t like it, and wanted to make that clear.
“I don’t know what her game is, but I’m tellin’ ya man…I don’t like it,” Dean shared with whoever was within earshot, once he found out what was with “all the freakin’ green stuff every freakin’ where” because, of course Jack told him everything that Rowena had said. Jack’s honest that way.
Sam, the complete nerd, actually had the nerve to jump on Jack & Rowena’s Bandwagon of Crazy and say the mistletoe wasn’t a bad idea.
“Y’know, it’s not a bad idea,” began Sam. “And besides, it’s festive.” The giant moose shrugged. “It won’t hurt anything, as long as nobody decides to taste it, and it’s potentially helpful against Evil.”
“Well, it didn’t keep Rowena out. Or that 10-foot-tall green monstrosity in the library,” Dean countered.
“Rowena isn’t evil anymore, Dean. She’s been very helpful and you know it. And that’s a Christmas tree. You even helped decorate it.” Dean’s moose of a brother reminded him. “I especially like the angel tree topper with Castiel’s face pasted on. Any idea where THAT came from?”
Dean studied the floor, feet shuffling, and pretended he wasn’t blushing. Sam pretended he wasn’t noticing. He cleared his throat and continued.
“And anyway, Dean — why are you being such a Grinch? You’re the one who was always all gung-ho about Christmas when we were kids. Even when we had no reason to celebrate, you were always trying to get me excited about it. Besides, Jack loves it, and you agreed: we should all try to make Christmas nice for him.”
“Shut up and pour the damn eggnog before Jody and the girls get here. And don’t skimp on the rum this time,” the older Winchester changed the subject abruptly. Dean grumped off in search of someone to agree with him. Good thing he didn’t hold his breath.
**********
In Dean’s opinion, Jack was totally outta his mind crazy about the whole mistletoe thing. He went a bit psycho with Kissing People – any people – anyone at all – under it. The Apocalypse World hunters had mostly relocated to places of their own by now, so there were only ever a few of them around at any given time, coming by to check in with Chief, or re-up their  supplies. Occasionally friends and fellow hunters they’d known forever stopped in. Whoever was there at any particular moment was apparently considered fair game by Jack. He’d taken to lurking in proximity of mistletoe, in hopes of jumping under the greenery just in time to meet someone under it. He’d flash them a huge smile and give ‘em a fast & friendly kiss on the cheek. Everyone just went along with it and laughed with Jack afterward. The kid’s joy was contagious.
During Jack’s first day of Decking the Halls, Jack surprised the crap outta Dean with a guerilla-attack mistletoe-kiss and garnered a “What the hell, kid?” in reaction. Jack’s crushed countenance while looking up at the mistletoe in confusion made Dean take a step back and apologize.  He’d then hugged Jack and given the boy a quick fatherly peck on the forehead . Heck, it wasn’t even as if there was anyone else around to see, so no big deal, right?
In the next few days, to his own amazement, Dean had started giving spontaneous Doorway-Bro-Hugs, and even the occasional Completely Manly and Not Girly at All kiss on the forehead to anyone who wasn’t eighteen feet tall. So, Sammy just got a lot of hugs. Who could even reach that forehead for a kiss, anyway?
When Dean hugged Cas for the third time, he quickly (but shyly) kissed the angel just above his left eye. Cas responded by “booping” Dean on the nose, grinning widely as he did. Dean turned as red as the bow on the mistletoe above them. After that, Dean went with just the hug, while Cas surreptitiously kissed him on his cheek, or ear, or his shoulder – wherever his mouth was closest to while Dean held him tight for another extended hug. If anyone noticed that Dean/Cas hugs lasted for a much longer time than anyone else’s, they said nothing. At least, not around Dean or Cas.
On one of the increasingly more frequent times when Rowena found a reason to be around, she seemed to always be passing through doorways at the same exact time as Sam or Cas with uncanny frequency. And of course, her kisses were smack on the mouth and somewhat...thorough. While Sam didn’t seem to mind her kisses AT ALL, Cas reverted to the Awkward Angel the Winchesters had first met, and usually took to standing in Dean’s personal space or hiding in a locked room whenever Rowena was in the bunker. The witch knew better than to attempt any such shenanigans with Dean.
Everyone who was around the Winchesters long enough had learned what a great cook Dean was. Of course, he made killer burgers and steaks, but after years of making do in motel kitchenettes just to keep Sammy and himself fed while Dad was hunting, Dean could work some serious mojo when he had a Real Kitchen. Those motels had never had an oven, so Dean had never learned to bake anything. Not even a freakin’ pie.
So, Dean decided that part of a “nice Christmas for Jack” should include a few kinds of made-from-scratch Christmas cookies and at least two kinds of pie. Because, PIE, am I right? Jack eagerly became Dean’s apprentice pastry chef as they learned together, researching Baking Basics and Christmas Cookie recipes, leaving the usual monster lore to Sam. Once Dean mastered pie crusts, there was no stopping him. In addition to the cookies, Dean produced a different kind of pie every day. There had never been so many sweets in the bunker at one time.
And where there are sweets, one should never be surprised to find a Trickster.
Two days before Christmas, Sam ran smack into Gabriel, who was coming out of the kitchen, his mouth full of Christmas cookies. Gabriel fumbled for a minute keep hold of the half-gone pecan pie in his hands. He’d clearly found the aerosol can of whipped cream in the fridge, as it was generously covered in perfect peaks of fluffiness.
“Hey, Samshine!” the Apparently Not Dead Archangel greeted with a snarky grin.
In the next moment, something rare occurred. Something rarer than resurrection of the dead, at least when Winchesters were concerned.
Sam Winchester was speechless for two entire minutes.
Then he began to sputter about “But You Died” and “I saw Michael kill you” and “Apocalypse World” before grabbing the short angel in a fierce hug, lifting him off his feet like he weighed nothing. “How are you here?”
Somehow the pie was still balanced in the archangel’s hand.
Smirking, Gabriel replied, “Hashtag Not Dead.”
Sam rolled his eyes but couldn’t keep the smile from his face as he set Gabe back on the floor. “Well. Obviously. But HOW? You died. In another dimension.”
“A trickster never tells, dude. Don’t look a gift archangel in the mouth,” Gabriel grinned.
He looked up as if only just now noticing the mistletoe above their heads.
The pecan pie dropped to the floor, somehow right-side up and intact, the whipped cream on top still looking perfect.
“Pucker up, Samsquatch.”

CHAPTER 1 (You’re here!) | 2 | 3
Pairing: Nate & Detective
Word Count: Chapter 1 - 2,136
Chapter Rating: Teen and up
Genre: A pinch of everything, comedy, fluff, angst. Though this chapter is lighthearted... can’t quite say the same for the next ones though... (:
------
If you were to ask Rose what she thought of vampires three months ago, she’d probably laugh it off.
“Last one to get there is going to have to get Mason out of the car!” Felix whooped, practically flying through the car doors towards the sand.
Now here she was. Spending her day with four vampires. On the beach.
Certainly, the situation couldn’t get any more absurd.
“This shit is fucking unnecessary,” Mason grumbled, shying away from the sun that streaked through the open door of the backseat. “Team bonding? That’s ridiculous.”
“Although I don’t agree with Agent’s Kingston methods, orders are orders.” Adam plopped on his aviator glasses as he exited the vehicle.
“Isn’t it nice to go out like this once in a while, though?” Nate smiled, stretching near the hood of the car. Rose hears a thunk soon afterwards, noticing a passerby that smacked their face against a lamppost. “We don’t get much of that working for the Agency.”
“Neither in Wayhaven, sadly.” Rose chuckled, before letting out a grunt as she heaved Adam’s bag up. “Jesus Christ, what do you even have in here?!”
“Sunscreen.” He replied flatly, already walking towards the beach.
“Wha-?!” Rose opened the zipper – only to find sunscreen. Dozens, upon dozens of bottles. There were so many kinds of them – kid’s sunblock. SPF ranging from 10 to 500. There were even some written in mandarin. “Seriously?”
“He’s very serious about skin protection.” Nate just shrugged, dragging Mason through the road, the latter groaning all the way.
“Of course.” Rose huffs, dragging the thousand pound bag of sunblock through the road and towards the beach.
Despite the annoyances of traveling with an supernatural entourage, the detective was determined to enjoy at least a bit of her well deserved vacation. Tina was ecstatic when she heard that Rose would be taking some days off, only to utterly lose it when she discovered her friend would be going with four hunks to the beach.
Even now Rose could feel her cellphone buzzing – Tina had begged on her knees for at least some pictures. No doubt for research purposes, as she’d discreetly put it.
Taking a deep breath, Rose stretched her arms. Smelling the saltwater and the wind brushing against her hair, it felt like an entire world of difference from Wayhaven. The sky was a striking blue with the occasional clouds floating lazily through, where they were reflected on a crystalline, almost translucent water. Palm trees were scattered throughout the area, providing shade against the intense sunlight.
Rose smiled, brushing a stray strand of hair behind her ear. The landscape could be only described as paradise on earth.
“Detective, where’s my sunscreen!” She hears Adam’s voice breaking the silence.
Sadly, she couldn’t say the same for the company.
She’d silently prayed on the ride here that he wouldn’t start any beef. It was short lived. “If your skin is so sensitive, then why didn’t you put it on while you were in the car?!” She pinched her nose.
“It would make the passenger seat all dirty. You’re a detective, you should know that if you’re worth the title.”
Rose sighed. So much so for a ‘relaxing trip with your new squadron’.
“You two bickering already? Damn, that’s a new record!” Felix chuckled, soaking wet.
He’d just returned from a dip in the sea, Rose noted. The water rivulets streamed down his chin, dropping into his broad chest, firm abdomen. His build was supple, and he moved with a sure confidence that could woo the most prude of people into dropping their pants.
Hearing his tongue click, Rose widened her eyes – he gave her a smug smirk, and she instantly flustered at the realization that she was just ogling at him shamelessly.
“I’m going to set up the parasols!” She squeaked, speeding away from the scene before she died of embarrassment.
“You scared her away.” Mason deadpanned, rubbing the sand out of his limbs.
“She’s just shy, besides-” Felix approached Mason, a devilish smile settling on his face. “You’re clearly just jealous you don’t look half as good as me, Mr. Grumpypants.”
Nate sputtered, choking on his saliva. “Felix, l-let’s not rile-” He wheezed out. Adam just raised one eyebrow at the duo’s antics.
“Repeat that again one more time-” Mason growled, squinting his eyes.
“What’s wrong? You put your cigarette in the wrong ho-” Mason leapt towards the other man, fire in his eyes, trembling with anger. Felix just dodged, laughing like a kid.
“This is a serious mission. Why are they fooling around?” Adam scoffed, reaching for a bottle of sunscreen.
Nate sighed, rubbing his forehead.
Seems like he’d wouldn’t get much down time out of this vacation, as usual.
  -----------
“Whew.” Rose rubbed the sweat out of her forehead. “These things are surprisingly hard to set up.
Thirty minutes of struggle trying to dig holes deep enough so that the umbrellas wouldn’t be sent flying, and finally the four matching sunshades were properly settled in the sand. Despite the exertion, she was thankful that the methodic task distracted her from the previous faux pas.
“Now I can relax.” She grinned, ready to sit on the sarong and enjoy a good book to the sound of waves.
Her hopes were thoroughly dashed as a flurry of bodies flew into the parasols, utterly shredding the fabric and breaking the metal beams.
Amongst the mess, the detective realized that it was Mason and Felix who’d conveniently crashed on the carefully placed parasols, who now lay ruined, pathetically strewn across the sand. Rose stared at Felix, astonished.
“Oh hey!” He winked, apparently completely unfazed by the fact that a very angry vampire was on top of him, ready to shred his throat open.
“D-Don’t…” She dropped on her knees on the sand, hands reaching for the destroyed parasols underneath the men.
“Aww, Rose. You don’t need to be worried. We’re just playing around a bit.” He casually admitted while holding back Mason’s wrists..
She should’ve known. Nothing in the sphere of influence of Unit Bravo ever went the way they expected. Why was she even surprised?
“Mmmhmmm.” At this point she just accepted it. There was no way this was going to remotely resemble a normal beach trip anyways.
With a still smile, she starts picking up the broken pieces of her work
“I think you broke her.” Mason retreats from his friend, suddenly unnerved by the detective’s sudden change of character.
“…Suuure.” Felix answered, suspiciously dragging his syllables. His concern disappeared as soon as it came. The window of opportunity was perfect while Mason was distracted. Felix took a fistful of sand and tossed it into his companion’s wolfish face, whose façade immediately crumbled into an enraged snarl.
“You little shit!” He howled, running after the other man, sending a billow of sand all over the detective.
She coughed, rubbing her eyes. The cloud of yellow obscured her vision, covering up even the bright sun above.
Trying to grasp at her surroundings, she eventually makes out a vague silhouette through the airborne sand.
“Kingston!” Adam trotted resolutely through the cloud of sand, completely unfazed. “Did you put on sunscreen yet?”
“It’s okay Adam. I’m good.” She answered, coughing up more of the tiny particles.
“Rebecca passed onto us, team Bravo, the duty of protecting you. So no, you’ll be putting on sunscreen regardless of your poor choice of judgement.” He declared, taking out a bottle of sunscreen from trunks pocket.
“Thanks for the concern but-” Rose’s tongue twisted as the air cleared, and she finally managed to see the man himself.
The only way one could describe it was as if Adam decided to impersonate a tempura shrimp. As if the agent wasn’t pale enough, a thick coat of sunscreen covered virtually every inch of skin that could be touched by the sun. From his ears to his armpits, the bloody thing was everywhere. The sand, having glued to every inch of his body, only added to the absurdity of it all.
Even more so when he’d put sunblock on his eyelids.
“O-hoh- my God!” She fell laughing in the sand. “W-wh-ah? Oo-oh I c-can’t!”
“What’s so funny detective?” He furrowed his eyebrows, confusion twisting his white cheeks. It contoured an even funnier image, and by that point, tears were streaking down Rose’s face.
“Detective?” He approached her, trying to shake the woman out of her hysteria. “Rose?”
What she saw was the nail in the coffin – there was sunscreen in his tongue.
“N-NO! O-H HAH-” She was breathless, hitting her hand in the sand repeatedly as her body convulsed with laughter.
“She’s fine, Adam.” Nate puts a hand on his friend’s shoulder, quickly grimacing before taking it off, leaving an imprint of his palm on ivory skin, “Just laughing about Felix and Mason.” He wiped the sunscreen on his shorts.
“If you say so.” Adam retreated, crossing his arms. “But she’s still going to put on sunscreen.”
“Ah-” Nate fetched the bottle from his leader’s hands. “I’ll help her with that! Why don’t you go get the rest of the stuff in the car?”
“I suppose you’re right. We’ll be needing more sunscreen.” Adam nodded, completely misunderstanding his friend’s request, before jogging back to the car.
“A-Am I not hallucinating right now? O-Oh my God!” She managed to say between her spouts of laughter. “J-Just how?!”
“I have no idea. I did ask him once, but he thinks it’s normal.” Nate turned the bottle in his hand, white cream sloshing inside. “I’ll just put on a normal amount of it on you so he doesn’t complain.”
“Oh thank-” Rose froze mid-sentence. “C-Can you repeat that again?”
“I’ll put some sunscreen on you, but don’t worry, you’re not going to look like Adam!” He chuckled, offering a hand for the woman to stand up. “We just have to get the sand off your body first.”
Her mind reeled, thoughts racing too fast for her to even understand. Nate pulls her to her feet in one gentle motion, the proximity causing her brain to crash to a halt. Suddenly all too aware of her own body and the soft eyes that would be on her, Rose rooted her feet on the ground, “B-But I can’t swim.”
It wasn’t a lie, but the idea of having Nate’s hand smearing sunscreen on her back seared an image that would probably make her auto combust. “Really, it’s no problem! I can stay under the paraso-”
She was about to point to the sunshade when it dawned on you that they’d been destroyed.
“It’ll be okay, Rose. We don’t need to go deep, just enough to wash off the sand.” He smiled with reassurance but all he effectively managed to do is make her heart beat even faster.
“O-Okay.” She gulped.
Rose took off her t-shirt, laying it alongside the rubble and the towels. Her pale skin is already red from staying under the sun – and for once she had to admit Adam might’ve been right, even if to an extreme.
Rebecca would’ve skinned him alive if she knew they’d let her get sunburned.
She smiled tenderly, reminiscing over the old memories. She’d been seven or eight – around that age where boys thought girls were icky and she woke up early to watch cartoons. Rebecca had taken her to a hidden coast, where they’d built sandcastles all over the shore. She’d declared herself Queen of the Sandcastles, and knighted her mother with a toy shovel.
Her mother had missed her so much, however, that she completely forgot that the sun didn’t treat very kindly people so pale such as them. They’d had their skin peeling for weeks, from the scalp to the toes.
She shook her head, laughter bubbling up her throat. Those had been fond times, memories she’d return to when the longing she felt for her mother would overcome her.
“Sorry, I got lost in thoughts for a bit.” She turned towards Nate, only to find him flustered. He scratched the nape of his neck, flicking his eyes towards and away from her.
“You’re going to go in the sea with your shirt?” She blinked her eyes. “Saltwater ruins fabric, I wouldn’t recommend it.”
“Oh, of course.” He shook his head, an embarrassed smile gracing his face.
When he shrugged off his shirt, it was hard not to look away. His body was as defined as Felix, muscles contouring his arms and his torso wonderfully. The inguinal crease he had was something that could make any atheist believe in God – no doubt.
Rose gulped.
“Shall we?” Nate swiveled towards the sea, before turning his head with that heart melting smile.
His back was just as well sculped as the front, and his ass-
“Yep!” She replied, trying to keep the treacherous thoughts out of her mind.

Four Dalmations
Croatia June 14-22, 2019
Quick summary - 7 days in the Dalmatian Coast - 2 nights in Spilt, 2 nights in Hvar, 3 nights in Dubrovnik. Weather was incredible with blue skies every day, highs in the 80s and lows in the 70s. Much warmer than I expected as winds were nil. See final thoughts after.

Saturday, 6/14
Landed Dubrovnik after a new direct flight from Philly (which apparently is a big deal as all the Croatians knew about and asked us about it. Maybe the only direct flight from the US.) We were driven to Spilt to start our journey. About a 4 hour drive (and through the odd little stretch of Bosnia, which is a pain for passport checks,) it is very picturesque along the coastline seeing the water the entire time, the oyster “fields,” the agricultural valley, and vineyards all along the way. Also lots of open mouth naps en route.
We arrived to a very crowded Split...can’t imagine July and August. We were staying at the Hotel Vestibul, which is a unique and modern very small hotel carved out of the vestibul of the Diocletian Palace, a huge walled former palace of the Roman Emperor Diocletian, built around 230 AD and now Spilt’s Old Town. In the Dark Ages, it became a village within the walls and remains the old town today full of narrow passageways and charming nooks and piazzas. You can dodge the crowds once on the interior away from the Dalmatian singers, cruise ship crowds, weekenders, and waterfront. Once inside, you will find a sophisticated and hip world full of restaurants and shops and millions of sobe (rooms.) The Croats are not dumb with every enterprising option possible for travel to the islands, activities, açaí bowls, etc.
Tip - I’m not an AirBnB person, but Europe apparently is a great place to do it as they are all supposed to be quite nice.
A mix of all its past history, Croatian food illustrates this as evidenced on the menu. Lunch was the highlight after long travels and the hotel suggested Uje Oil, clearly a modern enterprising owner (tapas like olive oil bar) where we landed at an outside table for a perfect meal of trying the Croatian favs including Italian-like arugula pesto pasta, sausages showing the Hungarian influence, and pasticada, the traditional stew over gnocchi for a mix of the two. Known for its wines, fun fact is that Croatia has been traced as the origin of the Zinfandel grape. We dove in with a light white from Istria, the Malvasia grape. Perf. nap. Eat again at Brokeria, a very hip, casual buzzy spot inside the palace walls. A sparkling rose from Istria from the Tehran grape, octopus on the grill, pasta with truffles (in season and not crazy expensive like in Italy,) smoked seafood risotto and sea bass over a cauliflower mash. Nice. (Others to consider are Zoi and Paradox.)

Maja #1 (pronounced Maya - 30 letters in the Croatian alphabet with lots of consonants) met us at 10am for a historical tour of the Diocletian Palace and surrounding area which was quite interesting taking you from the evolvement of all of the Croatian history from the late Roman Empire, to the Dark Ages of the Barbarians to the Middle Ages of the Christians to the Renaissance of the Venetians Empire, through to a short stint of the Napoleonic French through the Austrian Hapsburgs. (Oh and home to some of the Game of Thrones filming.)
Afterwards, we went to the Kozjak Mountain slope around the Kastel township for a private lunch. Most interesting was listening to Maja talk about where she lived. Her family was originally from the area, but her parents had left and moved to Sarajevo for better work opps. Their summer home was still in the area. When the war broke out with Serbia in 1992 invading first on the Dalmation coast, they told family to move to Sarajevo. That was poor advice as then the Serbs invaded Bosnia and Sarajevo. Her family escaped Sarajevo back to the coast. In this area, you typically lived in good size homes, but of several apartments with other family members, with your own bit of olive trees, maybe fruit trees (cherries in season now,) small vineyard, etc. Enough to make your own of each (or have small producers make for you.) Lunch setting was in a peaceful (Biblical) park with a vineyard and church backdrop. The weather was gorgeous, but hot. The five course meal was remarkable with local pairings of wine. Most notable was the Zinfandel and various types of posip and plavac mali wines.
Back for down time, which Relia and I spent in Zara before we reworked our plans of going to Dvor restaurant on the coast and hiring a boat to take us to Trogir, Croatia’s Little Venice. An small island about 30-40 minutes by car and the same by 20’ center console boat, it is a large marina area, much like the old town of charming limestone mass of buildings and not quite as crowded. The recommended restaurant of TRS was booked, so we landed at Trogar, our chef of the day’s restaurant. It was marginal at best, surprising given the sophisticated and creative meal at lunch, but Robert made us welcome with his final offer of carob rakija liquor. (Other restaurant options suggested was Alka and Marijana.) Back to Split by Uber, plentiful and cheap and always an unusual sensation to me at home and really strange overseas. To bed.

Thomas, the Atlantic Marine outfitter skipper met us at the town port just in front of the main gate and Hotel Vestibul entrance in a 25’ motor boat. A two hour ride to the Pakleni Islands off Hvar Island for sun and fun. First swim spot was Stonica, (loved the circled up catamarans pumping pop music for a week of partying. On then to Palmizana Island that has 3 restaurants - we chose the Langanini Bar for lite bites, cabanas, bean bags, and tree cabanas. Most expensive meal yet! but a great change up of Asian food. We headed for Havr Grad (town) to check into the Adriana Spa Hotel, right on the main harbor riva (promenade.) Quite modern, perhaps OTT and thus lacking in some practicalities and maybe Fodor’s is right that it sometimes misses on the 5 star with just small hiccups.) BUT still very lux, sleek and incredible views. We didn’t spa, but it seemed top notch if you like that. Serious breakfast buffet included.

Met our guide at 5pm for an 11k walk to the abandoned village of Malo Grablje for a special dinner at the “home” of a former resident’s whose son opened a restaurant here 10 years ago. The hike was beautiful along the coastal path, but could be shortened by taking a car to the path rather than walking from the hotel. Also would be cooler at this hour since the road is exposed to the afternoon sun and rather toasty. Eat a snack before you go and it is rocky so sturdy shoes. The village was just left by all the inhabitants in the 1960s and now too many family members own the buildings, so they can’t agree on selling anything.
The meal was spectacular with the traditional one pot dish slow cooked in the coals of Peka made with veggies, meats (ours was lamb and veal) or seafood, house made wine and warm just-made sugar coated almonds with Proshec (carob liquor) to finish. Taxi home for sure.

We met Filip, +385 99 8097 097, our new skipper who was funny and confident with incredible English learned from gaming on War Craft. Off to the Blue Cave, which is a grotto from the volcanic island of Bisevo of incredible blues from the light seeping in under the rock formations. Beautiful and unique, but skippable. Its crowded, though they move the small touring boats along quickly.
We were ready to escape the crowds and swim, so we toured rugged and cave areas of Vis and then to Stinivia cove for a swim. Fairly crowded and the water some debris since its a cove, but still the Adriatic color and temp is totally refreshing. The bathing suit and nationality watching is unending entertainment.
Though there is a small cafe there, we bailed and headed to the port town of Vis Grad which Filip described as large, but was actually small and rather sleepy. He made quick reservation at Tavern (Konoba) Vatrica, which was perfect. Covered terrace on the waterfront, casual with ham and cheese, grilled prawns, salad with creamy feta, Vis rose...perfect. Back for a few more swims at yesterday’s caves by way of the WWI tunnels and lookout plus the WWII submarine tunnel hideout since it was an allied base. The Yugoslavs took it over as there military areas post war.

Cleaned up and a drink in the Hotel Top Bar for the views, a few hands of cards and then a walk to the sunset and apres beach scene at Hula Hula. Def. a scene with bride tribes and more. Canceled our dinner at Gariful - tired of sit down spots and headed to Filip recommended Lola, a small, back street, alley outdoor cafe of excellently prepared “street food”, action packed with the young and DJ thumping remix 90s tunes. Filip also recommended Passarola, a cool and hip looking restaurant off the town square alley with several terraced garden spaces. Would have been perf if we wanted a less casual spot. Back for a rooftop finale round of cards...can’t get enough of the view.
Wednesday, June 19
Yay! Back in the boat with Filip to head to Dubrovnik by way of Korcula, Orebic, and Ston. Korcula, home of Marco Polo and the Silk Road, is a charming town and would be a great place to stay a night or two. Then onto Orebic, on the Peljesac peninsula, considering the best wine growing region in Croatia. We had a stop for a wine tasting at Korta Katarina, a winery estate and lux hotel started by Americans. It was interesting, but unless you are really into wine, skippable. On to Ston, home of the best oysters in the world. A short boat ride to an oyster farmer’s private island to learn about how the oysters are grown, and then a delightful starter of oysters and huge pot of mussels alla buzzara (in white wine, olive oil, garlic and onions) under the shade by the water. Also homemade wine and myrtle berry infused grappa, a very typical aperitif throughout. D.I.V.I.N.E.

Back in the van for an hour trip along the coastline to Dubrovnik. If you thought Spilt was crowded, wow. Though a much smaller city than Spilt, it feels WAY more crowded and much more intense because of being located on the hillside as well as the old city attraction....not to mention the Game of Thrones/Kings Landing magnet.
A reservation mix up which had us for 3 nights at the Excelsior Hotel, switched us to their sister hotel Bellevue. Our Croatian travel agency Calvados Club upgraded our rooms significantly as a result and while it is a 20 minute walk to town vs. a 5 minute walk, it is a smaller hotel, larger rooms and totally renovated on a gorgeous cove that made it feel very private (despite the public beach - all Croatian beaches are public.) Lovely indoor pool, unreal views, very hip and cool. We may have turned out better in the long run.
Poor planning on our fault when we booked the Michelin starred restaurant in Dubrovnik - 360 - for dinner after the oyster and mussels fest. But we were ready and it was quite the gastronomic affair with delightful views and service.

Maja #2, met us to take us to the 3 hr kayak tour from the old city by Fort Lovrijenac around the island of Lokrum and back. Very fun. A few dips and viewing of the nudie beach...a head shaker for me. We walked home so Will could grab a recommended xxxcici sammy while the rest of us ate at the Bellevue beachside cafe and lounged Adriatic style at the Bellevue carved out private beach with umbrellas and chaises, and beach boys while watching the cliff jumpers and reading on the rocky beach. The water temp is just perfect and the water is incredibly clear. I am a huge Adriatic fan.
Maja picked us up at 4 pm for a walking tour of the Old Town concluding with the one mile walk around the city walls for amazing views of the yachts, charming houses, islands and Adriatic. Ready for another break from traditional food and restaurants, we hit a bar on the water built into the walls before having “CroAsian” food at Azur in one of the back/side streets. It was casual and delicious. Highly recommend.

Off to the Konavle valley, also known for its wineries and vegetable fields, and fruit orchards to Grude for biking through the countryside and vineyards. Gorgeous backdrop of the stone mountains, cypress trees and once gain crystal blue skies. This area was so named for its system of canals used to irrigate the crops....Roman aqueducts brought water to the area. Very bucolic and well known for its wine and history. A two hour on and off road before meeting Maja to go to a local farm in Cilipi at the home of Marin Vukorep ([email protected]) for a delightful meal very similar to Malo Grablje, but maybe more fun with everything consumed from the farm (prosciutto, goat cheese, bread, olive olive, vegetable purée soup, peka, red and white wine and over 10 homemade rakija varieties with fig, walnut, apricot, etc. Lots of fun - gorgeous setting, relaxing, interesting and another gorgeous day. Debated going to the seaside town of Cavtat, but too full and sleepy!
Back for more Adriatic indulgence and a regroup on dinner (again) after such a large lunch. Bailed on Posat wanting a casual place and discussed Bar Bota for mussels, Kamenice, Tabasco pizzeria, Taj Mahal Bosnian food and Levanat in the Lapad area, but ended up at Mea Culpa pizzeria in the Old Town which was perfect. And that’s a wrap.

Well, not quite as William and I were awaiting the Fort opening at 8am to check it out since we could still use our wall ticket. Check. So long for now.
Final thoughts - We loved everything we did, where we stayed, food and history. The two things we might have changed were the Blue Cave and wine tasting. Everything else was great with enough time to sightsee and yet enjoy the summer time water activities. We might change a few things, but it really depends on one’s MO. We might have stayed in Trogir or Hvar and done a day boat trip to Spilt and Trogir for at least 3 or even 4 nights in the islands perhaps with an overnight in Korcula and maybe just two nights in Dubrovnik. The history is incredible dating back to the Greeks and Romans and throughout right up to modern day with the too recent Yugoslav wars. Mid June is already packed and I would not even think about going in July or August unless you stay on a boat or in the islands. May would be too early for me to enjoy water fun, but Sept should still be very good. Plus July and August would be really hot. Climate is just like NC - hot and humid with lots of the same vegetation. The Croatians are very proud of their country and really do tourism well. It is not a sophisticated 3rd world country like Italy, though there probably is still lots of government corruption and low wages. It is a energized and modern that is savvy about its tourism.

Open 21.2
We’re on the eve on finding out about 21.3 – the final test! (Dum dum dum…) so I thought I best get my ass into gear and write about 21.2!
21.2 happened to be a repeat workout from the 2017 open. It consisted of two movements (again… I’m seeing a trend?) Alternating dumbbell snatches and a burpee over box jump. What are those delightful movements, you might ask? Well, your trusty Crossfit interpreter is here to help you decipher the weird world of Crossfit lingo. Hint: A dumbbell snatch does not involve grabbing the dumbbell from some unsuspecting victim. (Although if you underestimate these exercises then you will be the unsuspecting victim!). A dumbbell snatch involves picking up a dumbbell and ‘flinging’ it above your head to a ‘lock out’ position, then bringing it back to the ground (don’t forget the switching hands mid-air!) and repeating the process. Sounds simple yes? (Haha) Until I realised the weight was 15 kgs. The second movement, A burpee over box jump, is exactly what is sounds like – a burpee followed by a box jump. A burpee, does not involve burping or peeing (although maybe a little bit after a few repetitions!) but is actually an exercise invented by Royal Huddleston Burpee over 90 years ago. It involves a push up and then jumping to standing position. (I’m not sure why we have a second movement, this open, that involves us being face down on the floor – perhaps to connect us to the Earth? to ground us? Remind us that everybody is equal when lying prostrate on the ground? Who knows!) Then the box jump bit is just that – jumping over a box. Sigh. Not really my forte (although If I’m being honest there isn’t really an exercise I’d describe as my forte!) I’m not a jumper. My spirit animal is definitely not a springbok or a kangaroo. I’m never going to be a parkour participant. (Well not willingly – If, for some obscure reason, I find myself on the edge of a tall building being chased by a pack of rabid wolves I might be tempted to give it a go.) There’s a fair amount of me to overcome the force of gravity and honestly, light and nimble have never been adjectives anyone has used to describe me.
The breakdown (of the workout, not me!) was as follows: 5 rounds. Round 1: 10 dumbbell snatches, 15 burpees. Round 2: 20 dumbbell snatches, 15 burpees etc up to round 5: 50 dumbbell snatches and 15 burpees all within 20 minutes. Friday dawned and it was hot to say the least. I decided to do the Rx workout as opposed to the scaled option I did last week because despite it needing much moaning, groaning and a bit of lady-like grunting, I can actually snatch 15kgs. (Fun fact: I have no idea why the term Rx refers to - perhaps it stands for ‘Really Extra’? Which you have to be to do some of these workouts!) I started the workout with much vigor and about 3 snatches in a realised how heavy 15kgs was and began to regret my gung-ho decision to do Rx. (The 10kgs of the scaled version was looking mightily appealing!) I feel I should add that I only recently became somewhat comfortable with box jumps. Up until the end of last year I was jumping onto a few weight plates as I was somewhat dubious of the boxes’ ability to handle me hefting all my weight onto it with great force and very dubious of my ability to actually get up onto said box. (So far it has managed to hold up and I’ve managed to get up onto it!) I’m not going to lie; this was a pretty tough workout. Not only was the weight heavy (to think just 18 months ago I was carrying that around with me on a daily basis!) but it was also cardio.
Despite the heat I managed to almost finish round 4 on Friday. Well done to all those who actually did finish the entire workout!  I redid the workout on Monday and managed to improve by 13 reps. (I realised afterwards that my goal of finishing on Monday was a tad unrealistic – how exactly was I going to fit another round in?!) The truth of it is that I am just not fit enough to finish that work out. I just didn’t have anymore gas in the tank. And that’s ok! I’ve worked hard over the last few months and really improved my overall fitness levels but I’m just not there yet. I think that another important lesson the Crossfit teaches one – you’re never done. There will always be another level of fitness to reach, another goal to strive for and that’s ok. Health, wellness and fitness are not boxes to tick off but rather a way of life. Caring about your well being is not a once off thing but a life time commitment. I may not have finished the work out (well, not this time!) but I tried, I showed up and gave my all. At the end of the day that’s all anyone can really do.
Much Love
A 30 something chubby girl
