thoma was your neighbor and for some reason, you never got along. like, this man could get along with everyone, but for some reason you didn’t feel like empathizing with him. maybe it was because you were a cat person and he was a dog person. or rather that his niceness was too much and you suspected something from him.

“oh my thoma, you look exhausted” you said as he awkwardly chuckles. he lets you in as you place the cookies on the table. you placed your hands on his cheeks and turned his head left and right. “what are you doing here?” he asked confused. “well, you have been getting home late lately and uh… i guess i started getting worried” you say which makes him smile. “awee, (y/n) getting worried? about me? how cute”

“i’m leaving” you said as you walked up to the door. “no no no, don’t go!” he said grabbing your hand. “don’t mock me then” you grumble annoyed. “so cold” he replies as you roll your eyes. “want me to give you a massage?” you then ask sighing. “what?” he asks blushing. “i don’t know, it’ll make you less tired i guess” you say as he nods.

he sits down on the couch as you stand behind the couch to start massaging his shoulder. he lets out gentle groans from satisfaction as you go down to his back. “lay down” you order him as he nods. you sit up beside him on the floor and start massaging his back. you end up massaging his whole body in the end and sit beside him. he sits down putting his head back sighing.

“that felt good” he says as you chuckle. “i’m glad i could help” you reply with a smile on the face. “i wanna make you feel good” he then says as you shake your head. “no need to” you reply. “not in the same way though” he says as you tilt your head confused. “will you let me, i, detective thoma, inspect your body?” he asks making your eyes widen.

you remain quiet staring at him. you felt like saying yes for some reason. “no” you replied instead. “please?” he asked leaning over to you. you felt your heart racing. you gulped as you ended up saying “fine!” which makes him bite his lower lip. he starts undressing you as you bite your lower lip. he kisses your neck running his hand down your body. he then spreads your legs and kisses down to your pussy.

I hate when an artist gets exposed for being a bad person and people start the narrative “why would you even want to listen to their shitty music” when are we going to be freed from the idea that only good people create good art and bad people create bad art. love when men cry about body hair bc "it's hygiene" and yet 15% of cis men leave the bathroom without washing their hands at all and an additional 35% only just wet their hands without using soap. that is nearly half of all men. that means statistically you have probably shaken hands with or been in direct contact with one of these people.

love when men say that women "only want money" when it turns out that even in equal-earning homes, women are actually adding caregiver burdens and housework from previous years, whereas men have been expanding leisure time and hobbies. in equal-earning households, men spend an average of 3.5 hours extra in leisure time per week, which is 182 hours per year - a little over a week of paid vacation time that the other partner does not receive. kinda sounds like he wants her money.

love that men have decided women are frail and weak and annoying when we scream in surprise but it turns out it's actually women who are more reliable in an emergency because men need to be convinced to actually take action and respond to the threat. like, actually, for-real: men experience such a strong sense of pride about their pre-supposed abilities that it gets them and their families killed. they are so used to dismissing women that it literally kills them.

love it. told my father this and he said there's lies, damned lies, and statistics. a year ago i tried to get him to evacuate the house during a flash flood. he ignored me and got injured. he has told me, laughing, that he never washes his hands. he has said in the last week that women are just happier when we're cooking or cleaning.

maybe i'm overly nostalgic. but it didn't used to feel so fucking bleak. it used to feel like at least a little shameful to consider women to be sheep. it just feels like the earth is round and we are still having conversations about it being flat - except these conversations are about the most obvious forms of patriarchy. like, we know about this stuff. we've known since well before the 50's.

recently andrew tate tried to justify cheating on his partner as being the "male prerogative." i don't know what the prerogative for the rest of us would be. just sitting at home, watching the slow erosion of our humanity.

Urgent: Help Us Not Get Screwed

Anyone who follows us has seen us screaming from the hill-tops about our current crowdfunding campaign for Aether Beyond the Binary (17 aetherpunk stories! Outside the gender binary main characters!). We've only got 50 hours left...and we just got screwed.

Our Anthology Kickstarter is being scammed.

About two hours ago, with us still roughly $1,500 from our goal, we got a junk pledge for almost $2,000. This pushed us into being marked as "funded" but there is zero chance it's a real pledge, it's from a shell account marked as being in Turkey. This kind of money doesn't just fall like a miracle into the laps of small business like ours.

The timing on this attack is devastating. The final 48 hours of a campaign are absolutely critical, especially for one as close to meeting our goal as we are. We were very likely to hit our target, but doing so was going to require appeals to y'all that started with "hey, we're so close, please help spread the word." Further, the campaign has hundreds of followers who will get a notification at the 48 hour mark, and many who might have backed to help get us to the finish line will now think "oh, they're there, they don't need me," and not back. Meanwhile, one of two things will happen with the spam pledge: either it will get removed by Kickstarter, which could take hours or a day+, totally nuking us during this crucial window, or it won't get removed until the payment bounces post-campaign, at which point we won't actually have enough money to do fulfillment.

Either way, we are fucked.

Please, please don't let these dipshits ruin the love and passion that 30+ people have poured into this project for over a year.

Our campaign IS NOT FUNDED, and it won't be without help. I'm begging, help spread the word about how we're getting screwed, and help spread the word about Aether Beyond the Binary (visit the link for so much info!) so that we can get enough real pledges to fund this project we've poured our hearts and souls into.
