I really hope byler will be reciprocated and canon, since I’ve shipped them since 2018 when I was 13, and found a lot of comfort in the characters - Mike, in particular, since I saw myself and my struggle with being queer heavily in the way he acts. Like little me knew something was up with those two, she just didn’t know it would take until she’s in university for it to reach a conclusion.

also just thinking what a cultural reset it would be if Mike did end up with Will - like flipping the “sad gay in love with best friend” trope on its head, giving a proper compelling explanation from why Mike went from being so caring to ignoring Will, giving El a conclusion where she’s free to find herself and live a normal life (since in my interpretation Mike honestly seems to be holding her back). It would all just be so beautiful

I always loved that quote.

I didn't realize until recently 

that I hadn't fully grasped it

before.

A person in five years

took all my time,

attention,

and energy,

hoarding it all up 

with a dragon like

greed. 

He drained me;

slowly dimmed me of my light. 

First, I stopped drawing,

then, I fell out of love with writing.

Before I knew it,

my self expression was dead

and I felt

lost. 

I knew something was wrong,

I just didn't realize

that something 

was him. 

In two months

someone new filled me

back up. 

They walked into my life,

and jumped in to help me

undo the damage

he'd done. 

I've started drawing again,

and I hope

I'll fall in love with writing again,

too.
