Five Random Things About GreeNade I've Thought About.

(I've been stressing over the KOSA thing so I didn't feel like working on this,so it took me a few days to get over my anxiety)

A ton of little things I noticed but are probably a coincidence:

1.When Deku was getting out of his girl phase it happened to be around the time he sorted some of his feelings out with Katsuki in Dk V Bk part two. (Also,Bk "complemented" Dk too.)

2.Shigaraki is the biggest GreeNade shipper. Why you may ask? His most recognizable part of his costume design are hands. And what's GreeNade's whole thing? Taking each other's hand. Also,he kidnapped Bakugo too,and that helped with GreeNade's relationship development. Shiggy GreeNade shipper confirmed. (AFO gets second place because he doesn't dress up for the part. Btw,this one is just crack,it's just a thought that's come to my mind.)

This Bakudeku\Dekubaku shipping Bastard.

3.Monoma has a perfect gaydar when it comes to GreeNade. I mean,this Mother Fucker knew insulting Bakugo would piss Deku off. If Ochaco were the true love interest then by that logic he would have insulted Ochaco to trigger a response. But,nope,he did not.

look at him,like,he's smug about knowing Deku's gay as hell for Bakugo.

(Also,something I completely forgot was Monoma did bring up Deku's other friends! Monoma even says, "You won't even take a glance at your allies? How cruel of you!" Obviously it was all tactics to distract Deku and make him slip up,but,Monoma so much as speaking an ill word of Bakugo makes Deku grow fucking TENTICALS! LIKE THIS MAN BROKE THE LAWS OF HUMAN ANATOMY BECAUSE SOMEONE SO MUCH AS INSULTED BAKUGO! And you expect me not to ship them? Like,dude. Also,a comparison I've never seen someone make is how similar Monoma and Compress are. And they both made Deku's feelings for Bakugo increasingly clear in the early chapters.Also,their mannerisms are very very similar,even the way they word things.)

4.Bakugo and Deku are complete poplar opposites in personality and design. They literally have the opposite eye color on the color chart. Bk,has spiky hair,red eyes,sharp shaped eyes,his face is also sharp ,and Dk,has soft curly hair,green eyes,that are round shaped,his face is so soft it looks like a baby. (Also,Bk doesn't have freckles,so that means that they're faces are even more opposite)

5.Here's the last one: Bk and Dk aren't just a cute complex well written dynamic,but,they're also aesthetically pleasing to look at. Thanks to how different they're designs are it makes them looks interesting and cute. They also have the best color palette to go with they're designs. Like one of my personal favorite things is the hair. Especially because of how pretty the ash blond and seaweed green look together.

I feel like fandom has a habit of either exaggerating something, or straight up using the wrong terms because they don’t know what the term really is.

Toxic, abusive, etc are so wildly used for so many different things. And authors intent also gets lost in that. A story and it’s interpretations can easily be taken and malformed and destroyed. Prime example would actually be the first Matrix released in 1999. It’s a movie about trans identity, the allegory being confirmed by the authors years later, yet most people remember the matrix simply because of the “red or blue pill” scene, taking it as a silly joke.

So I feel like it’s really easy to get trapped in the whole “this ship is toxic” mantra, especially on platforms that aren’t tumblr. (Tumblr too ofc, but it’s easy to just find a post and create a new opinion since the algorithm isn’t necessarily built to keep you in an echo chamber)

And it also just feels toxic itself? It doesn’t promote critical thinking to just say “this ship is abusive”, especially when that word is so unbelievably watered down.

Going back to authors intent, if you told me “Yoon Bum and Sangwoo are toxic and abusive as fuck from killing stalking” I’d say, “no shit Sherlock” because it was from start to finish supposed to BE THAT WAY. (And anyone who says they aren’t I fully don’t trust you that was absolutely not the point of killing stalking) BKDK always falls into this toxic/abusive mantra because of the bullying and the general rough dynamic that Katsuki creates. And that’s stupid in my opinion. Most of its hatred is built off of people’s own experiences with bullying and a refusal to let a character grow and change when they have a trait they don’t like. For some reason people see mass murder or serial killers as more redeemable or better people than childhood bullying. WHICH THAT BULLYING???? MOST OF ITS RETCONNED NOW AND BASED OFF OF ASSUMPTIONS OF WHAT BAKUGOU ACTED LIKE.

The killing yourself comment he told deku? Literally retconned. I’m so done with that shit. Like I could attempt to tell these people why character development matters more than their stupid fucking opinions, but atp I’d literally rather just say “it’s retconned” because it fucking is.

Any opinions people have of togachako being toxic or something I’ve just straight up brushed off as misogyny. BECAUSE IF A MAN WAS IN THAT DYNAMIC… IF A MAN WAS THE HERO… IF A MAN FIXED HER EVERYONE WOULD FUCKING LIKE IT

Because people like when men fix women. But ochako doesn’t WANT to fix her. She likes the current toga. She just doesn’t want the murder. Good fucking day.

Very angst BKDK: short fic.

The One Thing We Never Were

Izuku finally claims his second only victory sparring against Katsukis, a proud smile on his face as he sees Katsuki simply breathing on the floor in heavy pants, wiping the sweat off his face before his arm flops over. Izuku is grinning to himself, pumping his fist before he’s flexing his gloved hand to find that it wasn’t straining, just sore from all the punches he threw and took on it. He goes towards Katsuki to share his accomplishments, standing a few feet away from him with a little hop to his step. Katsuki looks his way at the movement at the corner of his eye but quickly goes to look up towards the ceiling of the gym in seeing Izuku approach him with a groan.

“I did it! I finally have full control of all of the users quirks.” Izuku says excitedly, fists at his sides as they shake up and down in happiness with a tired smile on his face. Katsuki tuts at the remark as if he had found it funny before he’s getting back up on his feet but says nothing more. Izukus posture falters a little as his eyes follow katsukis movements, realizing that the laugh that came from him had a hidden insult or disbelief.

“What?” He asks tentatively, red eyes snapping at him at his voice. “I-I know I took a lot of your time today for all this, but I am grateful for it! It’s because of you I mastered One For All and the rest of its quirks!” Izuku goes to compliment, thinking that maybe Katsukis loss of the battle, even though it was more like training, was taken personally.

Katsuki sneers tho as he finally stands, leaning back as he sways, cooking his head to the side as he pokets his hands in the blue gym pants.

“Yea, you’d be nothing if I weren’t here training your ass off from that quirk since the one who gave it to you can’t do it himself.” He says and izukus smile is completely gone, disappeared as his hands drop to his sides as he looks down. But, he doesn’t clench a fist or furrow his brows, he simply goes slack at the words that came from Katsukis mouth. So foul and filled with I’ll intentions.

“Just because you’ve finally learned how your damn quirk works, doesn’t mean you’ll be above me in any way. Just know, no quirk or a hundred, I’ll make sure you’ll never get to first place.” Katsuki adds and Izuku breaths a small huff through his nose as he looks at him, standing tall and confident.

“Where’s this coming from, kacchan?” Izuku asks. “We were just training… It didn’t mean anything except for me to get better at controlling my quirk.” Izuku gestures behind him to the middle of the large gym. Katsuki decides then to cross his arms to nod with a lick to his teeth.

“I’m telling you what I always do; that I will be at the top.”

“You say it like your trying to make sure I’ll never be able to have a chance-“

“Oh, you’ve had a damn chance!” Katsuki interrupts with a laugh. “You’ve had a chance. You were born with a hellish dream stuck in that damn skull of yours that would’ve never came true if it weren’t for that damn quirk you have!” Katsuki mocks and Izuku feels anger bubble up inside him at the implication of Katsukis words. About how he, a quirkless little boy, wanted to be a hero because they were the coolest thing to be and now Katsuki is practically shitting on him for the absurdity of such a though.

“You wanted to be a hero too.” Izuku states firmly, stating the facts and Katsuki nods as he leans forewords with his arms still crossed.

“Yea!” Katsuki says like it was an obvious thing. “But I wasn’t delusional enough to think that I would be able to make it without a quirk. I knew my future and that’s to be at the top because I had the power to do it, no excuses. I’ve had my whole life, deku— my whole life. And I’d be damned if you were the one to mess that up.” Katsuki shouts with enthusiasm as he throws his arms up in the air before pointing at the greenette standing a few feet away. Izuku is the one to scout, looking at the man like he was being hysterical, cocked brow with a questioning sneer pulling at his lip.

“So, what? The years when I was quirkless we’re just supposed to mean nothing to me? As if those 14 years of my life— dreaming of being a hero just like you— don’t count? Are you being serious right now?!” Izuku shouts, confused and upset about all that’s going down. Katsuki doesn’t seem like he’s having much fun, but he was definetly wanting to prove a point. What exacly it was, was a mystery Izuku didn’t want to find out.

“Because you got a fucking quirk, you numbskull!! Do you know how lucky you are?! The chances of the one person in the whole world, part of the 20% that doesn’t have a quirk that, even then, is a wannabe-fucking-hero gets to meet the number one of Japan.” A pause. “I was able to see my fucking future because I knew I could achieve it. But yours was a dream and because of it, it would be impossible for you to make it come true. It’s called a dream for a reason, you were just in the right place at the right time to make it close to possible.” Katsukis ranted out, panting from the earlier exercise.

Izuku seems he’s close to bursting in anger and sadness from those words, because he knows it isn’t how it is. He doesn’t know Izukus life, he didn’t live to be quirkless and in instances like these, Izuku wished he did. Even for just a day would satisfy him, push the guilt away and tell Katsuki “yea. That’s what it feels like, but are you going to give up?” It’s selfish and extremely immoral of him for wishing such things, but he’s only human, no matter how unique he was in comparison to the world of quirks. But, all he can do now, is laugh. Shoulders shaking as his lips wobble into a looped smile and chin raised high to hide his oncoming tears.

“You know, you’re an amazing partner when it comes to hero work, whether it’s training or your beating my ass to the ground when sparring. But even then, anything I do— anyone does!— you just find a WAY to- to make sure no one reaches your level of supremacy.” Izuku wipes his eyes with a watered laugh.

“And you know what? I finally get to have the freedom to tell you that you’re a real bad friend, kacchan. I just-“ he laughs again with absurdity as he looks to the side as if someone were there before turning back. “I just don’t think I’m going to be able to keep up with you anymore. Not like this.” He shakes his head as he looks at the blond, who looks like he’s about to just about ready to go for another session of sparring. He looks menacing with that look, so open and expressive, but not in the least bit guilty for Izukus words. Not like he had hoped for.

“Oh, so now we’re going to play the blame game eh? Is this what it’s come to, deku? Really? Are you accusing me for the shit life that you had because you were damn jealous of what others had? That’s a real low blow for the next ‘symbol of peace’ ain’t it!” Katsuki mocked, yelling as he finished.

“It’s not- I’m not jelous.”

“Well, then, you sure are a fucking hypocrite for telling me off for the shit you assume I did to you when I didn’t lay a fucking finger on you all these years, and then go off and say all of the things that I’m supposed to be. You have no right to come to me, spew shit and accusing me for it, and then go cry yourself to sleep because that’s the one thing that never really changed, didnt it?” Katsuki yells, echoing through the gym.

“You always tried to one up me but this is low, even for you deku.” He laughs with forced effort because even though he doesn’t care, the tension in the room just keeps rising. But like hell he’s going to stop.

“It’s pathetic” he all but spits. “And desperate for a someone who got everything he ever wished for with a snap of a finger. I worked for this. I worked to get into this school and prepared for it my whole god damn life! I didn’t dream, I did! I worked from when I first got my fucking quirk all the way up to today so yea, it’s gonna piss me off that all of a sudden All Might little trainee decides to come to me to become number one hero. And I do my god damn best but you’re being fucking insufferable deku but, I gotta ask cuz this conversation is going fucking nowhere…” He laughs and point a finger at his, shaking it in the air a few times.

“When we’re we ever friends?”

I am very very far behind in reading the manga, but I follow the MHA community so I have All The Spoilers.

Honestly, everything coming out in the last few weeks seems almost fake. Like a giant joke-conspiracy being put on by all of you, just to fuck with my head and see how gullible I am.

Bkdk giving bedroom eyes across a war zone after coming back from the dead? Holding hands in order to take out The Big Bag Guy? Kats literally calling himself by Deku's pet name for the first time EVER in the history of life itself?

Next you're gonna tell me they kiss, imma nod vigorously while leaning in to hear more, and then as a collective whole you all are gonna yell out "OMG GOT YOU, YOU SUCKER. BAHAHAHA Like any of that would ACTUALLY happen in cannon?! Stop reading so many fanfics, loser!"

Those are the legitimate vibes I'm getting right now. So stop it, you guys. You're getting my hopes up, and I don't appreciate being played like this.

💕BakuDeku First Kiss 💕

FanFic Summary: BKDK first kiss head cannon, Kacchan + Deku have feelings for each other but are dumbasses and don't know how to act on them, the pair gets stuck on a corny Tunnel of Love ride that Class 1B built for the school's annual festival. Easy peasy lemon squeezy content for funsies. Scroll down to enjoy! :)

Ok but imagine:

Katsuki and Izuku's first kiss is at the school festival in their third year. Izuku convinces Katsuki to go on the "Tunnel of Love" ride that Class 1B has put together for the school, saying he wants to support all of their friends from the class. Katsuki has been looking for an excuse to be alone with Deku for literal months and so he agrees (even though a "tunnel of love" is the dumbest nerd shit he has ever heard of).

Katsuki begrudgingly asks Kirishima to cause a distraction while he and Izuku get on the ride (because he'll be damned if anyone from class 1A sees him getting mushy with the green haired hero <spoiler alert - the entire class knows DK + BK have the hots for each other>).

Eijiro Kirishima of course agrees to help because he's an amazing friend and has a soft spot for romance. He enlists Denki Kaminari's help and obviously they do something ridiculously over the top and stupid. Picture Kirishima giving a speech about how manly romance is and it distracts everyone in line for the Tunnel of Love. Meanwhile Kaminari messes with the electrical system.

Katsuki and Izuku awkwardly hop into one of those cheesy swan boats and sail straight into the tunnel while Class 1B and the rest of the school are too focused on Kirishima + Kaminari to be any the wiser.

The ride breezes the boat through badly painted scenes from classic RomComs - How Harry Met Sally, While You Were Sleeping, You've Got Mail... Making matters worse, the whole thing is set to a cringe playlist of 80s and 90s love songs and it's all so over the top and cheesy and Katsuki WANTS. TO. DIE.

That is, until he looks over and sees Izuku admiring the scenery and taking everything in with a look of amazement. "Our classmates are just so talented, aren't they? They built this entire thing just using their quirks and elbow grease." And Katsuki just can't stop staring at the guy beside him. Deku is so pure and good and so utterly full of light. Once upon a time, that trait had pissed Katsuki the hell off. But now...now it's something he finds deeply endearing.

The ride slows down and comes to an abrupt stop in front of a giant cardboard heart painted sloppily with the words "Will You Be Mine?"

The lights flicker and spark before shutting off, plunging the scene into complete darkness. The music comes to a stop as well, silence resounding through the narrow tunnel. It only takes a second for Kacchan to realize that Kaminari and his overzealous electrification is likely to blame.

Damn Kirishima. I told him not to get Sparky involved. Katsuki thinks bitterly, standing up in the boat to look around for an exit. Everything is pitch black.

The boat rocks uncertainly beneath his feet, and he feels Izuku's hand grasp his own. The green haired hero slowly pulls Katsuki back into his seat. "Be careful Kacchan - you're going to tip us into the water! This boat doesn't seem so sturdy."

Katsuki grudgingly sits down. The damn nerd's probably right. He blushes when he notices that Izuku hasn't let go of his hand.

"You know, Kacchan, I was really surprised when you agreed to go on this ride with me. It really doesn't seem your style." He hears caution in Izuku's voice. The damn nerd isn't going to force him to move faster than he's ready to. They both know there is a mutual attraction between them, but neither have been ready to act on it until now.

Maybe it's the horrifically corny magic of Class 1B's Tunnel of Love. Or maybe it's the comfort of the total darkness surrounding them. Whatever it is - Katsuki suddenly feels brave enough to make a move.

"I knew those nerds from Class 1B wouldn't be able to pull this off. I figured this death trap would kill you - and I can't have you die before I have a chance to surpass you." Bakugo is cringing at his own words. He has zero rizz.

"I appreciate it." Izuku says, giving his hand a squeeze. Bakugo's heart starts beating double time, and his nerves are pissing him off.

"Listen, Deku. Let's drop the bullshit. Can I just kiss you already?" His face is beat red, but luckily Izuku can't see it.

Izuku's hand goes slack in surprise. Oh, shit. Katsuki panicks - has he read this entire situation wrong?!

"Ok this is stupid - forget I said anything dumbass!" Katsuki roughly pulls his hand away from Izuku, moving to stand up. This boat can go straight to hell, and he has no problem walking through a few feet of water to get away from this damn nightmare.

But just as he's getting up to leave - Izuku's hand reaches out and grabs him again in a vice-like grip. He pulls Katsuki roughly back into his seat.

"Kacchan..." Izuku reaches out blindly with both hands until he manages to find Katsuki's chin. His fingers feel more calloused than Katsuki would have imagined, toughened up from years of hero training. Once Izuku manages to find his friend, he slowly brings their faces together, fumbling a little in the dark. Izuku manages to kiss the corner of Katsuki's mouth, but with a little teamwork they adjust and find each other.

It's a slow kiss, and it's sweet. Izuku's mouth is softer than Katsuki could have ever imagined and the feel of it leaves him shaky. When Katsuki doesn't pull away, Izuku gains more confidence, his fingers moving to thread into the explosion hero's thick blond hair. The touch has Katsuki seeing stars - no one has ever caressed him so intimately.

Within minutes, he's trying to pull Izuku into his lap. He grips his friend's waist as he kisses him fiercely. Years of tension and unsaid words spur them on, causing their lips to collide again and again until...the lights snap back on.

Izuku and Katsuki are left blinking numbly as the gooey Spotify playlist starts up again. With a lurch, the swan boat starts moving forward again. The two scramble, trying to regain their composure as the end of the ride nears. Izuku climbs sheepishly out of Katsuki's lap, and Katsuki furiously tries to get his hair back to normal. Both are blushing like mad - they can barely look at each other.

A few moments later, the ride comes to an end. The swan boat moves jerkily back into the sunlight, and TetsuTetsu greets them with a grin at the exit. Katsuki groans internally - he has no doubts that Kirishima filled TetsuTetsu in on their plans.

"Sorry about the technical difficulties, looks like we had a little bit of electrical trouble." He says good-naturedly, swinging a wooden plank around to connect their boat to land. Izuku shakily exits the boat, walking lightly across the board.

"Thanks TetsuTetsu. Appreciate it." Izuku walks quickly through the exit, trying to hide the blush on his freckled face.

"Anytime bro." TetsuTetsu waves Izuku off, then turns to face Katsuki. "Enjoy the ride?" He says with a wink.

"Like hell I did!" Katsuki grunts, crosses the plank and pushing TetsuTetsu roughly to the side. He chases after Izuku but the festival is too crowded - the green haired nerd is nowhere to be found. "Damn."

Immediately, he feels his phone buzz in the pocket of his jeans. He fumbles to pull it out, seeing a text from Deku blinking across the screen. With shaking fingers, he opens the message and drinks in two quick sentences: Meet me in the dorms. Let's finish what we started.

Katsuki grins stupidly despite himself. "That damn nerd."

He makes a beeline for the 1A dorm building.

Do you think if Izuku was a girl Bakudeku would have been seen cannon from day one? I mean Bakugo seems to also have all the tropes of a female romantic love interest in Shonen and the reason why many don't think Bakugo's feelings towards Deku are of a romantic nature is because Deku is a boy. Here's to Bakudeku becoming cannon <3

If the story managed to miraculously stay the exact same story with the only difference being Katsuki is a girl (coz let’s face it, he was the princess being abducted by LOV and held so protectively by Izuku in the Vol 37 cover), then yes. Everyone would be bkdk and all other ships would seem delusional, the way Izuochas/other fans think we are. It’s just ‘cause it’s happening between two guys that people stop caring about the moments that develop or hint at their romance. And this is something Hori wants to change.

I don’t know if you’ve noticed this but Hori represents BkDk in a super wholesome way without many traces of sexual desire. Because he wanted shounen readers to see their love as something real and beautiful, and not being made just for the sake of BL or fetish.

Though tbf, he has occasionally depicted Kacchan as ikemen, maybe to help us imagine Izuku’s struggle to hold back his feelings for him.

Kacchan is gorgeous, and yet his combative personality has scared away girls his whole life. And here we have Izuku always having accepted him for who he is and never distancing himself from him despite the many attempts by Kacchan to reject and send him away!

But anyway, Hori focussed so heavily on the emotions they feel towards each other because he wants readers to look at pure romantic love between a boy and another boy and understand it has no difference whatsoever with the love between a girl and a boy.

This also might be another reason why baby Decchan memories come up sometimes with Kacchan’s POV, or why Noguchi drew so many pictures of their childhood.

Because Katsuki and Izuku seem to be each other’s first love, and while feelings grew rotten for a while, the deep love they have for each other now comes from an incredibly sweet and pure origin.

How Hori is gonna pull this off really has my interest now because he has written bkdk so beautifully up until this point, so I have high expectations for his future plans to bring them together.

Update: I just wanted to add that my heart is so full right now from the KiriMina/BkDk parallels in ch.383. Canon BkDk really is coming right at us and it feels like Hori is going to bombard doubters with reminders of their love until they practically beg Hori to end their misery, and just draw what he has been waiting to draw for so many years, lol. 😊
