I know the MCU won’t do this but it would be neat if FF start off as the Cosmic Adventurers from circa 2015 comics but then they turn back into ‘Funky Scientists exploring random shit’ after helping save the Multiverse in Secret Wars n stuff

Dude, Absolutely write more about Steve and his 200 year old boyfriend. I wanna see into their life together more. Does Y/N become part of the avengers? What’s an average day for the two of them? What do the other Avengers think of them together? Has Steve ever called Y/N daddy out in public or in earshot of the other Avengers on accident? How inseparable are they? Anything you can come up with I’ll love man. Your writings so damn good!

Tumblr media
I was honestly so in love with the kinktober prompt with Steve and his 200-year-old lover, so I got excited when I got this request. Let’s say his hero name is Titan, just to have some old school sounding name.
The morning after your reunion, the two of you just laid in Steves bed, basking in each other’s presence and the fact that you were both alive.
After many kisses, from pecks to deep tongue filled kisses, and after a few rounds of Steve riding you again, as he was so taken with the fact that he finally could, you two finally talked.
You explained to him how you were a mutant, and how sorry you were for never telling him, how it had never crossed your mind to do so. And he apologized for throwing his life away like that, and leaving you the way he did.
Over the next couple of weeks, you stay in his apartment, even when Steve goes out to do avenger work or do stuff for SHIELD. He is always so tense when he walks in through the door, but he quickly finds you and crawls into your lap with a sighed “Daddy”, as if your presence alone is enough to calm him.
During this time, you introduce him to the future better than anyone else is able too, even rewarding him for being such a good student, just for the fun of it. You also end up telling him not to trust SHIELD, as you’ve seen who is involved with it, and what they do.
The Avengers team just assume Steve is uncomfortable with the future, and that’s why he’s always rushing home after missions or meetings, but in reality its to get home to you. When days are too rough, all he needs is you to squeeze him so tight his vision starts blurring and he’s left lightheaded.
He needs his daddy to take him out of his head, to take away his duty as Captain America, and just let him be your boy. Being with you is refreshing in the way that you always see him as Steve before you see him as Captain America, you’ll always see him as your boy before anything else.
The avengers first discover your existence during the attack on New York, as there is no way in hell you’ll allow your boy to run around on his own, especially not when you have more than a hundred years of experience than any of the members of the Avengers.
So, imagine their surprise when you come crashing in on your motorcycle, throw it right at a cluster of enemies, and immediately start tearing through the enemies with extreme skill.
I haven’t decided if you have any powers except for extreme strength, regeneration, no aging, the likes. But if you want, you can imagine the reader having any powers you want.
When everything is done and over with, the team, except for Steve, tenses when you start marching towards them. Seeing how you ripped apart the aliens with as much difficulty as one would a sheet of paper, they are on edge.
That is until you walk right past Tony, right past Natasha, right past all of them, walking right towards Steve. Whose face you take in your hands and start turning him this way and that, checking him over for injuries.
They’re all speechless to a certain degree, some more than others, especially when they see Steve start smiling and blushing like some kind of fair maiden.
Tony pulls a whole “are you guys also seeing this”, especially when you kiss Steve out of nowhere, and Steve almost arches into it, forgetting his shield somewhere on the ground to clutch onto you like a couple in an action movie.
Tony ends up being the one clearing his throat and being all “soooo… you gonna introduce us?” to get Steve and your attention.
Steve almost ends up introducing you as his Daddy, but he catches himself the last second and introduces you as his lover from before the war. When they want to know how you’re still alive, you just shrug and say you’re a mutant and you go by Titan.
After that you just kinda start hanging around the tower, but you aren’t an official part of the team. You don’t want to work for SHIELD, and you don’t want to work for the government. you’re also technically an honorary member of the X-men, a role you take seriously.
You end up getting along pretty well with the rest of the team, as you can take an interest in at least some of the things they are all into. You especially get along well with Tony, when you tell him you knew his father, and that he was a huge tool.
Seeing Steve with a man means that most of them need to change up the mental image they had of Steve, but seeing how happy and domestic you guys are, it’s clear it’s been a long-lasting relationship that just wasn’t in the history books.
If you guys end up rescuing Bucky and fixing him up without the whole civil war situation, you all end up just kinda living at the tower. You have your own apartment in Brooklyn, but its mainly for storage or if you and Steve need to go somewhere without anyone with super hearing nearby.
In the end its Bucky that exposes you guys for your title thing, as Steve has been too embarrassed to do it out in public the way you guys used too, and you respect his wants and needs.
It’s said in a very casual conversation too. Something along the lines of Bucky asking Steve “so, where’s was your daddy going this week anyway?” after you left to help the X-men. It causes a laugh from some of your teammates, as they think it’s a joke, until they see the blush on Steves face.
They’d think it’s just a kink for the bedroom in the beginning, until they start paying attention and hearing Steve mumble it to you when he needs comfort or reassurance. That’s when they learn its much more than just a kink.
It’s a way for Steve to give up all the pressure and responsibilities he feels in his life, for him to feel small and protected, to feel cared for, no matter what mistakes he may make. Its also there to reassure you that you are wanted and needed, that there is someone who loves you so deeply they want you to carry such a title to them.
Most of your team doesn’t really get it, but most of them have probably also seen weirder in their lives. Steve is also still a very private person in that regard, so it doesn’t call you that out in public, and you don’t make him.
Steve does allow himself to be more affectionate and vulnerable with you when your teammates are around, since they to some degree know what kind of relationship you guys have.
Like sitting in your lap on the couch when the team has movie nights, or letting you serve him dinner, or leaning against your chest when you hug him from behind. Or the times he is unsure of what to do in certain situations, and he looks at you for guidance.
Bucky is the calmest about it, since he remembers it from the 40s, and he had been around when it all started out. He didn’t have a title like you did, but he had seen how much comfort it brought you two, so he never questioned it.
So, all in all, the team accepts it as a dynamic you two have that they don’t really get involved with. Your knowledge helps them take down Hydra, and keeps lotsa the drama that happens in the movies from happening. Steves daddy didn’t just save him, but a lot of his teammates and innocent lives. Yay for Steves daddy.

Karma At First Sight: part 2 (Fluff)
2012!Raphael x reader
Tumblr media
Part 1
----------------
After seeing you the first time, Raphael can’t help but wonder if he’ll ever see you again, even if his brothers seek to pay back all the teasing he has done to them.
Warnings: Spelling, brothers teasing each other, Kraangs that wanna hurt you?
----------------
Days turned into nights, and Raphael couldn't shake the image of you from his mind. He found himself more and more distracted during training sessions, his thoughts wandering to the mysterious girl who had captured his attention on that rooftop stakeout. It irritated him, not being able to do what he usually did, without the thought of you making itself ever present. But what irritated him even more, was how attentive his brothers were. They were quick to notice whenever his movement stalled and the look in his eyes, knowing it was you he thought about.
Their teasing never really stopped. Just like Raph found have done with Donnie so many times, they found every excuse to tease him. It took him a little longer than usual to eat breakfast? Mike would sigh out loud before laying down on the kitchen table, a dreamy look in his eyes, mumbling about how he missed you, before running and dodging whatever Raph would throw after him. Raph had been sitting too long staring at the same page in his comic? Leo couldn’t resist commenting on how one of the characters must look familiar, making Raph’s eyes spark fire. And was Raph so naive to think that he could make comments on Donnie’s crush on April, that shit eating grin on Donnie’s face was enough to make Raph retreat every statement.
Whenever Raph and his brothers went to the surface, Raphael couldn’t help but look out for you on the street. New York City was big, but maybe he was lucky that you would be around somewhere. And of course his brothers noticed his searching eyes, knowing full well that he would never look for Kraang with such intensity and hope in his eyes.
One evening, the brothers found themselves back on the same roof, from which Raph had seen you a mere two weeks prior. Raph was doing his best not to seem too invested in what was going on, on the street. He would act as if he didn’t notice if a person walked past, when in reality, he was hoping to see your face once more, and hear you hum whatever music you were listening to. But of course, his brothers saw it.
“As far as I remember, Raph”, Leo started, never moving his eyes from his search for the Kraang. “Juliet was the one on the balcony and Romeo was on the ground”.
“Shut it, Leo”, Raph growled.
“What’s wrong?”, Mikey asked, inching closer to Raph with a smug grin. “You don’t like being teased about your girlfriend?”
“She’s not my girlfriend!”, Raph exclaimed, trying to catch his annoying little brother, before he got out of his reach.
“Hmm, sounds like a sentence I recognize”, Donnie said, tapping his chin in fake contemplation.
Raph growled in frustration, ready to jump on his brothers in a moment's notice to shut them up, only to stop in his tracks by the sound of Kraang bots in the alley next to the building. All four turtles jumped from the building, descending down into the alley. The skirmish that followed was intense. In the midst of the chaos, Raphael's attention was drawn to a figure standing at the mouth of the alley, staring in shock at the scene in front of them - it was you.
Raphael, who seemingly forgot the world around him as he caught sight of you. The Kraang droid he had been fighting did not exist for a moment, until…
“A human has seen Kraang fight with what is known as the turtles”, the droid said, causing Raph to return to reality. “Kraang is to capture and destroy the human that has seen Kraang fight what is known as the turtles”.
“Oh no you don’t!”, Raph yelled, driving his sai into the droid.
You, frightened by what you had just witnessed, started stepping backwards onto the street, not noticing the Kraang coming down the alley on the opposite side of the street. Raph however noticed it, getting rid of the Kraang he had been fighting before sprinting in your direction.
“Look out!”
You turned in confusion, just in time to see Kraang, ready to launch at you. You screamed and ducked, giving Raphael the room he needed to jump over your head and straight into the face of the Kraang. You watched through your fingers as Raph used his sai to take the droid out, hoping that he reached the brain looking creature inside it.
As the life disappeared from the Kraang’s robot body, Raph turned to you, watching your movements closely. You were watching him in astonishment, taking in all of his features. His green skin, three limbed hands and feets, the shell on his back and his bright green eyes.
With each droid taken out, his brothers watched the two of you from the alley. Though they had been teasing Raph relentlessly these past few weeks, they wouldn’t help but feel invested in the scene in front of them, fearing and hoping along with their hot tempered brother.
Raphael was the first to step forward and speak up, his gaze locked onto yours, fighting the nervous feeling in his stomach, and the way his hands started to get clammy. "You shouldn't be here. It's dangerous", he grumbled, a hint of concern in his voice.
It took a moment before you answered him. Blinking at his words as you were processing them. "Seems like you guys have it under control".
Raph shivered. You spoke to him. You actually spoke to him. You did not scream him in the face like he had feared you would. All those times he had been daydreaming about talking to you, fearing how you would react, suddenly seemed like nothing compared to the real deal in front of him.
Extending a hand to you, Raph helped you up from the pavement, till you were standing on your feet. "We appreciate the support from the sideline, but it's best to leave this to us", he said, hoping to break the tension that he felt inside himself.
You chuckled, making Raph feel his stomach tingle once more. "Got it," you replied, not showing any signs of fear. "But, you know, if you ever need an extra hand, I'm here", you said with a little hint of sarcasm, before looking down. “Until then I would like to keep my hand”.
Confused Raph looked down, seeing that he still had his hand wrapped around your smaller one. As if the realization electrocuted him, he let go of your hand, feeling his face get hot. “Heh, sorry”.
“It’s okay”, you smiled. “Do you have a name? I would very much like to know the name of the, uh… person that saved me from… that”. You nodded to the Kraang on the ground.
“Uhm… yeah, it’s Raphael”, the nervous turtle said, trying hard not to show it. But the thought of retreating into his shell felt very welcoming during that moment.
“Nice to meet you, Raphael. I’m (Y/N)”.
His heart skipped a beat when you said his name. The way it sounded with your voice made it shiver down his shell.
“(Y/N)? That’s a really pretty name”, he said, and then suddenly realizing he said that out loud. You let out a hearty laugh, making Raph relax a little.
“You’re sweet, did you know that?”, you asked, still smiling bright. You should have seen the way his brothers looked, fully ready to disagree with you on that statement.
“Hey! Raphael!”, Leo yelled from the alley. “Time to cut the date short! We have to go!”
Normally Raph would yell at Leo, or even try to make a jump for him, but being with your eyes on him, he instead got flustered, cheeks turning red wondering if you understood why his brother would say such a thing.
“You heard my brother; I have to go now”, Raph chuckled nervously, avoiding your gaze. “Uhm… It was really nice meeting you, (Y/N)”.
“You too, Raphael”, you smiled. “But before you leave, will I ever see you again?”
Raph almost choked on his own air, searching his mind for the right response while his brothers started yelling at him to get moving.
“You want to see me again?”, he finally got out, staring at you as if you had two heads.
“Of course I will”, you said, before pointing down the street. “You see that building three streets down on the corner? - The red one - I live on the 5th floor on the left. My bedroom is the one right out to the fire escape. If you ever want to hang out, you know just where to find me”.
“Cool! Great! I’ll make sure to do that”, Raph said, still not quite sure on how to react.
“Move it, Raph!”, his brother’s voices sounded from the alley.
“Chill! I’m coming! Relax!”, Raph yelled back. “See you soon, (Y/N)”. And with a happy little smile he ran back to the alley, feeling your eyes follow him all the way, even as he and his brothers moved up the fire escape and up onto the roof.
“And you said she wasn’t your girlfriend”, Mikey giggled, hurrying up before Raph could get close to him.
As the turtles retreated into the shadows the roof provided, you lingered for a moment on the street, watching them disappear. Raphael, however, couldn't resist a second glance in your direction, giving you a little wave, before disappearing himself. The happiness he felt when he saw you wave back to him.

hi! i saw your post about how true the makers of atsv were to real-life brooklyn and i loved it so much that i just had to ask if you'd be willing to make a more in-depth analysis on that? i'm not from america but i adore the movie so it's very interesting to hear firsthand accounts about its authenticity from locals! ofc this is just a humble request and i completely understand if the answer is no <3
I'd LOVE to! The Spiderverse Series is honestly the most accurate movie of New York I've seen in my life - including live-action movies. I say that not just in essence but in everything. And Across the Universe takes it over the top. Like, INSANELY so.
Across The Spiderverse & It's Dedication to Cultural Accuracy [aka ATSV is so goddamn good I can tell you exactly what street Gwen and Miles went to Mumbattan from. It's that accurate.]
I'm a black, afro-latino, and a born and raised 'Brooklynite'. Despite there being thousands of movies of New York, I'd say less than 5 percent of them are in any way accurate or current. (Yellow taxi cabs are no longer a thing here really.)
But Across the Spiderverse defies that in every way - nailing it historically, culturally, and even by replicating exact locations.
Wanna see the Bodega Spot robbed? Cause it's a real, random bodega! And the building he goes into at the end - I can tell you exactly where it is, with 100% assurity. All by street signs.
Tumblr media
In the first scene with Spot we see him standing outside on the curb, looking into the store. On the corner there is a street sign that reads Fulton St.
Fulton is an actual street in BedStuy (Bedford Stuyvesant, pronounced Bed-St-eye), literally a stone's throw from my house. And they take it further.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Although it can be hard to see, the other side to the left of it reads Nostrand Ave. Fulton and Nostrand is a very popular intersection in the neighborhood, mainly because there's a subway station for the A line located on one corner.
There's Nostrand and Fulton.
But if you turn to the other corner you see...A Bodega! Looks familar?
Tumblr media
That's the bodega Spot robbed.
99% of the people who watch this movie will be from New York. Even less will be from BedStuy. Even less will catch the split second sign on the corner, only on screen for only a few frames.
It took me 3 watches to notice. But I noticed. And my jaw dropped. How much that means is unexplainable. I've been on that corner, and the TacoBell across the street. And so has Miles. That's insane.
It doesn't stop there.
Spot enters the store, as we pass we see a sticker for 'WIC/EBT' on the cashier's counter. I'm not sure how common this is - but WIC and EBT standards for Welfare Benefits and Food Stamps. As you cannot buy warm food with Food Stamps (sadly), lots of bodegas advertise taking EBT for the deli sandwiches.
Nice shout out to the struggling families in the communities, I love a Bodega that takes EBT.
Tumblr media
We move towards the back of the store - In the Bodega while Spot messes with the ATM we get a wider shot, and another very insanely specific shout out.
Tumblr media
Behind Spot is a sign showing a Beef Patty (which I'll mention in a moment) and a sun logo called 'Sunny Patty'.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is a direct call out to a specific chain of Beef Patty shops in Brooklyn and Harlem called 'Golden Krust'.
I cannot stress how much of a niche reference this is! Golden Krusts only exist in low income neighborhoods - mainly in Brooklyn, Harlem, and the Bronx. If you're anywhere near Times Square or any place else New York shows choose to portray - you're not finding a Golden Krust.
Golden Krusts are store that is ingrained in Caribbean culture, which Brooklyn is full of - hence the adapted Jamaican flag up front. I grew up eating Golden Krust and I'd eat it more if they didn't close so goddamn early.
But it's there.
Once again, only a few pixels, only a few frames, but someone probably took 6 hours drawing that. For the 0.009% of the people who'll get the reference. Low-income, black New Yorkers - like me.
ATSV is so accurate that you can even find the exact spot in which Miles and Gwen leave through the portal.
But before I tell you where it is - I wanna talk about why it's so important.
It's important because one of the most famous Spider-man scenes in history is just plain WRONG to New Yorkers.
Tumblr media
This scene is ENTIRELY incorrect, and I knew it even as a child.
Firstly, based on the skyscrapers everywhere, this is solidly Manhattan. The train says Bay Ridge, which is in South Brooklyn, maybe 40 minutes away by train. So I'm going to assume this is the Q or B train, running through Manhattan. Which, okay they do, but -
There are NO elevated trains in Manhattan. The Q, like every other train, only goes above ground in Brooklyn and Queens. This is very clearly Chicago.
So he couldn't be doing this. It's a simple but HUGE fuck up. Any one born in New York will notice it because Manhattan just looks wrong with elevated trains.
And it would've been fine if they just set it in Brooklyn where Bay Ridge and the elevated trains actually are.
But instead they made generic Manhattan streets - so much so I can't even tell what neighborhood they're in. Do you see how this is such a problem?
Across The Spiderverse is animated. And they still put in the effort.
I can't tell you where Peter Parker is stopping that train - it ain't Manhattan - but I CAN tell you where Miles and Gwen leave for Mumbattan.
So let's go back to where we started. We're on Fulton and Nostrand both in BedStuy.
Throughout the fight, we see Spot and Miles go through a couple streets - most notably a very popular street in the neighborhood - Broadway.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This happens twice, once while fighting Spot, and once when Miles and Gwen grab the hot dogs. They show this twice, cause this will be important for what we're trying to do.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now this may not make any sense to you, since it's just random streets, but I'm about to tie it together.
Tumblr media
Gwen releases the bug near an elevated train. When we see Miles and Gwen swinging, they cling to a train. Now, it's hard to tell what train this is but so far we know.
We're in Brooklyn
We're near Broadway
We're near an elevated train line
There's a station on Broadway called Broadway Junction. It serves the G line and the J,M,Z line.
When we see the train pass by, we get a glimpse of the model. Each train line has a slightly different variation, with some being a lot old. The one that passes is one of the newer ones.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Once again, very accurate, as those models do run on elevated lines)
And although we can't see the letter on the train, by that alone, I can guess we're by the elevated J,M,Z lines in BedStuy - near Broadway Junction. Easy. Now we just need to know what stop we're at.
Well, they tell us that too. Finally, When Spot heads into the building we get a glimpse of the exact street he's on - Bedford.Ave
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So I just threw a LOT of information at you - but look at this map of the J,M,Z line and hopefully it comes together
Tumblr media
At the bottom along the green line - we see Bedford/Nostrand Ave. Remember, the robbery starts us off on Nostrand. Let's move up the green line. We get to a part where the green line passes the brown and orange ones - the JMZ trains.
They connect at Broadway (Officially Broadway Junction Station). We see Broadway with the hot dog vendor there.
If we move to left of Broadway we see Marcy Av. - and if we look to the left OF THAT we see a faint white line heading north.
THAT line is Bedford Ave. Where Spot enters the building.
Because we know they're in Brooklyn, and we know they passed Broadway. Plus we know they're now on Bedford by an elevated train that runs newer models.
So from those signs alone we can definitely say that Spot is on Bedford Ave. and Broadway. Next to the JMZ elevated trains, two stops from Broadway Junction in Brooklyn.
100% that's the spot (lol). That's the only place Bedford crosses an elevated train. And as a New Yorker, I got that from this photo.
Tumblr media
Trust me when I say - we can tell.
By those short shots of street signs, we know that Miles started in BedStuy, swung north towards Broadway, then took a turn towards Bedford Ave in Williamsburg. And that's where Gwen plants the bug - and the place she returns to before going to Mumbattan.
Is that crazy? That's CRAZY. Percision accuracy that I have never seen in a movie live-action or otherwise.
All throughout the first scenes of ATSV - they are on actual streets, that are reasonably within swinging distance of each other, along actual train lines - with their stations accurately located.
That's INSANE. There was no need for that amount of detail, but they did it anyway.
There's SO many times in Spider-men movies where they'll start swinging in Queens, and then the next scene is like Upper Manhattan. They don't label the neighborhoods, but from buildings alone, I can tell what neighborhood it is.
And I'm supposed to believe Peter just swung 2 and a half boroughs in twenty minutes. I don't notice. But I NOTICE.
Here, Miles and Gwen are truly swinging accurate distances in the right amount of time. That's mental. And refreshing!
In a live action movie - they have NO excuse. Just film in the city, it's not like we're Gotham. And we give film crews huge tax breaks. In an animated movie - completely understandable. But they still said 'No, that's subpar.' and went the extra mile.
They didn't even have to show ANY street signs, they could've left it at the easter egg at the corner store.
But they didn't. Because they're telling a story about a Black kid from Brooklyn, who leaves for someplace completely unfamiliar. BedStuy is Miles' home, and they wanted to make it feel that way. So when he's not there - in the cold polish of Neuva York - you can feel it.
You can feel Miles leaving his warm, rich community when he lacks that community in the Society. In the movie and IRL, BedStuy is so full of color, with so many people doing so many things and sharing so many cultures.
And in the society, everyone is the same. There's no culture. That's dedication.
Because of a train in Spider-man 2, I was immediately taken out of the story. And because of train in ATSV, I was immediately brought in.
For once, it feels like they're swinging around a neighborhood - cause they are.
A Large Detail in ATSV:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So I talked about Trinity Church - the real church that Peter Parker was buried at in ITSV - and how accurate the team got it to the actual building.
In fact, this is the spot where Miles is standing.
Tumblr media
Like he's standing maybe 20 feet AT most from this spot, you can see in the windows and spires at the top.
But I also wanna explain why this - and why the fact that Peter was buried there is SO important.
Trinty Church is one of the most famous historical churches in the United States. It was started by the first English settlers in New York. It's extremely famous, and extremely sentimental.
For reference - Alexander Hamilton and his family are also buried at Trinity Church, along with dozens of other important US historical figures - across centuries.
You can't just be buried in Trinity. It's a city landmark. The cemetery is full, small, and you CANNOT pay your way in. The church is extremely choosy with who they will bury there - and honestly, I don't think anyone has been buried there for maybe a century or more.
So for the city to bury Peter Parker's body in the most prominent church in all of the city, if not the country - that speaks VOLUMES.
Like I said in the last post, my father use to work at Trinity Church - and they're the whole deal. Candles burning everywhere, super quiet and devote. The church has catacombs under it, everything.
Tumblr media
They didn't just bury him anywhere. The people of New York went out of their way to give Peter Parker the most honorable burial physically possible within the city of New York.
The highest honor for any New Yorker. One reserved only for Spider-man.
Which I think was an amazing touch. Especially since Trinity is in downtown Manhattan - so anyone could come visit and pay respects.
Other Cultural Accuracies
Before we wrap up I wanna breeze through some other cultural accuracies that appear in ATSV.
Tumblr media
Miles stops to eat a Jamaican Beef Patty while in the Bodgea. I spoke about these earlier with the Golden Krust sign. Jamaican beef patties are these flaky pastries colored with tumeric, full of spicy meat. And they are very popular with the large Carribean community in Brooklyn - which I'm apart of :)
In the case, we see the Beef Patties labeled with red dots. But Miles seems to go for the only one without it.
I'm guessing the red dots indicate which ones are the spicy Beef Patties and which ones are the mild, and Miles grabbed the last mild one they had.
They draw it really well, especially while Miles is eating it.
Tumblr media
"Spider-man seems more Dominican." Genuine question - did anyone laugh at this joke in your theatre?
Because all three times I went, people laughed. The first time people LOVED that joke.
NYC, especially the Bronx has a HUGE Puerto Rican AND Dominican population - many times living side by side
And there's this kinda 'beef' in the same way Yankees fans have beef with the Mets fans (NYC baseball teams)
The best way I can describe the joke is that they're two very strong, very proud Spanish cultures that are often mistaken for each other - but Puerto Ricans and Dominicans can very obviously tell each other apart. Mainly because of the Spanish they speak.
So for him and his mom to have that back and forth, it's kinda an inside joke of Puerto Ricans and Dominicans getting confused for each other - but them being able to tell the difference.
His mom says Spider-man is Puerto Rican, but Miles corrects her - without backing it up with any reason.
It's like they can just TELL.
I don't know how else to explain the joke but its a very New Yorker thing to do - discuss that out like that.
Since a lot of us are the children of immigrants - it's knee-jerk to identify with your parent country and not this one.
If you ask someone in New York 'What are you'. Many young people (me included) would say "Oh I'm *parents nationality*." In my case, I say I'm Bajan and Peruvian. Even though I was born in New York.
Miles would say he's Puerto Rican though he's never been.
So them discussing where Spider-man is 'from' even though he's obviously a New Yorker is the joke.
Like - someone on the writing team HAD to be from New York to add that in cause it's so...oddly New Yorker???
Tumblr media
While swinging Miles and Gwen pass the B46 bus. Once again, completely accurate. The scene starts on Nostrand and Fulton. The B46 does indeed stop on Fulton St.
Tumblr media
When they're swinging, the movie accurately shows the new World Trade Center (aka The Freedom Tower) - which is the tallest building in the picture.
Also, the bridge to the LEFT is the Brooklyn Bridge, while the tall one on the right is Manhattan Bridge. Many people don't know there's actually two bridges. (There's more but those two are the main ones)
Good on them for showing both Bridges, both accurately placed as well
Fun fact: Trains run over the Manhattan Bridge - the Q, B and a couple others (beautiful - I love it when they do) but trains do not run over the Brooklyn Bridge.
Tumblr media
And lastly, when Miles and Spot are on Broadway, the school behind them is actually architecturally accurate for a Brooklyn school. So much so that design is iconic.
Tumblr media
______________________ So those are most if not all of the cultural accuracies in Across the Spiderverse!
I cannot stress enough how ridiculously bang on this movie is in terms of everything.
The team put in so much work, and it paid off. To me, at least.
I don't feel like Miles is some kid from a different alternative New York. I feel like he's a real kid in MY New York. From everything down to his Jordans (don't even get me started on how much Jordan's has a CHOKEHOLD on teenagers in New York. Like...it's a status thing. Even since I was a kid, everyone wanted Jordans. Jordans or Nike Air Force 1s. So having Miles wear Jordans is my favorite thing cause yea a kid from BedStuy would think those are flyest shit ever even though they're just regular degular Jordans lol. And you KNOW Miles 42 a sneakerhead. Look at those shoes. He aint creasing those)
This movie, is chef's kiss. It tops all other New York portrays - live-action or otherwise and I stand on that.
If you read this far, thank you SO much. I love sharing New York culture (and the cultures that make it what it is to begin with) and I'm SO happy I can share this stuff and hopefully help people appreciate the movie more too!
If you learned something or have any questions, I'm all ears!
And I usually leave a photo of Hobie here as a send-off but this post hit the photo limit LMAOOOOOO
Bye.

thots about tommy wayne under the cut 👇🏾😚👍🏾
ok so in my head he's not from gotham lol (my guy is east coast mean, which is pretty mean, but not gotham mean which translates to being the sweetest guy on earth once you’re within the city limits). he's the illegitimate and son of patrick wayne and his daddy wouldn't claim him bc the affair/one-night-stand/whatever-you-wanna-call-it happened while he was very much married (fuck this guy fr!) and his wife was very much pregnant (oh brother this guy STINKS!!!). anywayyyy elizabeth mitchell isn’t stupid and knows a fight she can't win when she sees one so she leaves gotham for new york when the test comes back positive and patrick won’t pick up her calls.
and things are going good! she's made a little name for herself as a local nightclub singer and she's got a job waiting tables during the day that makes good money and sure things were a little touch and go for a while and sure there were times where she was sure that they weren't gonna make it but she got her baby through school (he graduated valedictorian btw) and now he's in the first year of his pre med undergraduate degree at the local university on a full scholarship (her parenting HER parenting).
so imagine her surprise when the billionaire deadbeat of the hour shows up on her doorstep one day talking about family duty and lines of succession.
patrick amadeus wayne jr. is dead. dead dead dead. and while it wasn't really a surprise to anyone with eyes (weak lungs can only take so many wet gotham winters and the tabloids were saying that the cough he sported at the latest gala sounded particularly nasty), he was by all appearances an only child (francesca wayne could barely get pj out let alone carry another baby to term) and the waynes were fumbling for someone to take his place before the body was even cold.
the transition is as rough as you would expect, what with the stony silences from his father’s wife (stepmother? who knows, not that either of them would ever acknowledge the relation) whenever they cross paths in the manor (francesca wayne never makes an outside appearance in gotham society again after the passing of her son. she enters a period of seclusion and never emerges, spending her days wandering the halls in mourning blacks and lighting candles in prayer), and sometimes being called patrick or pj by the gotham upper class (intentionally or not. though he suspects intentionally because his mother’s side of the family got the monopoly on his looks). it’s very obvious that he doesn’t fit in but hey, free college is free college and his mama is gonna be set for life if he can just see this through.
of course the whole thing doesn’t go over well (a long lost father suddenly appearing on your doorstep and claiming you only because his other kid died would put most people off to be completely fair) but after some yelling and screaming and haggling, compromises are made. in exchange for thomas moving to gotham and being prepped to take over as head of wayne enterprises, his mother is also to be put up in a fancy brownstone on the upper east side and given enough in allowance (in addition to the 18 years of child support she never got) so that she never has to work again and thomas is to be allowed to continue his studies, graduate medical school (in gotham and not at john hopkins like he planned. rip it was literally his dream school), and become a doctor (i like to think becoming a doctor was solely a thomas wayne endeavor. all the wayne men before him were men of business and trade but tommy has wanted to help people his entire life and he’ll be damned if he lets his father keep him from following his dreams). there’s a handshake and signatures signed on a drawn-up contract (because patrick wayne doesn’t do anything by halves and of course he brought the family lawyer to meet his son after 19 years of pretending he didn’t exist) and thomas goes from a two-bedroom apartment in hell’s kitchen to a bedroom the same size (and then some) right outside of gotham city.
and he does see it through, very well in fact! thomas wayne graduates top of his class in undergrad at gotham university as well as in medical school, is granted a residency at gotham general, and eventually becomes the head of surgery. Along the way, he meets a girl named martha, gets married, and has a beautiful baby boy named bruce (after his maternal grandfather ofc) and the rest is history!

Cases have the tendency to escalate at times; I know that's what is to be expected in this job. What I had not expected, however, was a freaking chase through the sewer system of New York.
By the end of this Hollywood movie cliché, I smelled so bad I actually felt like crying. But the unsub was caught, and the last victim was now asurvivor.
Stepping out of the hotel shower, I blow dry my hair. I brought heat protection and a leave-in conditioner so I don't fry my poor hair to death. Slipping into stretchy, actually comfortable jeans (Yes, those exist. Yes, they were expensive.) I put on an oversized pajama top and stumble out into the hotel room.
Spencer stands there, packing his go-bag, already done with packing mine. I love having my best friend be my co-worker. Fucking hate packing, and it's nice to see that he packed my sewer-clothes into a separate plastic bag.
"Feeling better?" he asks with his boyish grin.
I nod. "I needed that shower."
A chuckle escapes him. "Yeah, you reeked."
I throw my towel at him. "Thanks, cunt."
He catches the towel mid-flight and watches me drop onto the bed. Within a second, the towel is thrown onto my face. I grab it, giggle weakly, and roll it into a ball, tossing it onto the floor.
"You should put on a sweater or a jacket. I know we're just getting into a cab and then into the jet, but you're freshly showered, and it's starting to rain."
I have packed nothing comfortable. The shitty part of looking professional is that professional clothes are professionally uncomfortable. I definitely need to go shopping and buy stuff that ticks off both comfortable and professional.
I let out a childish groan. "I don't wanna..."
"C'mon, you're gonna catch a cold," Spencer tells me in a firm but gentle tone.
I roll onto my stomach, pressing my face into the mattress while complaining about my clothes. I hear him come closer, lean in, and reaffirm my protests with "Uh-huh"'s.
I run out of oxygen and stop whining. That is when Spencer sits down next to me, rubbing small circles into my back.
"Would you want to wear something of mine?" he offers.
I instantly jump up, kneeling on the bed and nodding. He chuckles, opening his go-bag. I know him well enough to know he gets uneasy when I rummage through his neatly folded clothes, so I just look at them.
"So, what do you want?" he asks. "A cardigan, a shirt-"
I interrupt him. "Can I wear your hoodie?" He raises his brows. "The grey one."
"I wore it to bed."
I know that. It's one of his favorite sleeping items when it gets colder.
"I know," I say, making grabby hands. "Now, gimme."
Pulling out his hoodie, he says, "What's the magic word?"
I sigh, trying to reach the hoodie, which he starts holding further up. "Spence."
"Wrong. Try again."
"Please," I tell him and get the soft hoodie placed into my hands.
"Wasn't that hard, now was it?"
I stick out my tongue and then let myself get swallowed by the hoodie. It smells like old books, coffee, and Spencer... or maybe all of that is Spencer. I happily flop with my arms, the way too big sleeves flopping around.
"You know, this is the best thing that came out of your fling with Max," I tell him as he hands me a pair of socks.
"A little harsh, isn't it?" he says, still smiling.
I shake my head. "She was a bitch whenever I tried befriending her."
"Yeah, but that was mostly my fault," Spencer quickly defends the woman who dumped him and moved to New York.
"Not true."
"Very true."
"Why should that have been your fault?" I ask as I put on my shoes.
"Because I constantly talked about you. She felt threatened."
"About what? Us being friends?"
There is no chance Max was actually jealous. I was the jealous one because she was constantly around my best friend, making alone time impossible.
Spencer shrugs, grabbing both our bags and leading me to the door. "Just repeating what she told me when we broke up."
I stop in my tracks. "She broke up with you because of me?"
He quickly shakes his head. "No, no, sweetheart. It just didn't work out with us."
"But- But why didn't you mention it earlier? You and Max broke up a year ago."
Why did my best friend not tell me that I was part of the breakup talk his girlfriend gave him?
"Wouldn't have changed a thing. You only would've bullied yourself into thinking it was your fault." He looks at me for a split second, then smiles. "You're doing it right now."
I shake my head, lying. "No, I'm not."
He leans closer while locking the room's door. "Liar."
I love when his face is this close to mine. It makes it so much easier to see the green specks in his hazel eyes.
"I'm not lying," I insist, but he knows me too well.
Letting go of the key still sticking in the lock, he tickles my side until I'm backed up against the wall.
"Shame on you for lying. Evil little thing," he chuckles with fake appall.
I try to squirm away without actually trying to escape. Because once he stops tickling me, we stand here, his body pressing me against the wall, his face way too close to mine.
We're both quietly staring at each other, and I wonder if he feels it too.
Okay. Maybe just calling him my best friend is hypocritical and dumb and simply not true.
I have been somewhat crushing on him since I first met him. Doesn't speak for my taste in men that it was when Tara had taken me to visit him in prison. I had seen him, he said hello, and my stupid heart skipped a beat so intense I am still recovering from it.
I joined the BAU as Dr. Spencer Reid's temporary replacement for the time being as he went to prison. I had practically jumped at the opportunity to play with the big guns, and when everything was cleared, the dust Mexico and Mr. Scratch had created had settled, Spencer had made sure I was promoted to a permanent part of the team.
He softly whispers my name, and I think he feels it too... this connection that is hunting us while we pretend to just be friends.
We jump apart the second somebody opens a door on our floor. Luckily so, because Emily and JJ come out of their room, joking about something. Spencer and I avoid our gazes until all of us are in the elevator; there, we just smile at each other.
Like...Friends.
*****
At home, I throw my go-bag aside, dump some clothes into the wash, and collapse on the couch. I'm too tired to grab a blanket, so I shove my hands into the pocket of Spencer's grey hoodie, hoping that's enough to keep me warm.
But there is something in the pocket I haven't noticed before.
Spencer's old iPod.
I love that he refuses to simply get a smartphone. It's one of those not-fully understandable quirks that just make you way more fond of somebody.
Turning it on, I decide to snoop a little – Checking out what my favorite doctor likes to listen to... It's only fair. He's all over my stuff too. No secrets; we're best friends, after all.
Putting the headphones in, I go through his playlists and...Oh My God, Spencer is a Swiftie.
But then I stop in my tracks. I need to look twice.
There is a playlist with my name.
Okay. Nothing too out there. This playlist can have a multitude of reasons. Maybe those are songs he knows I like, maybe ones he thinks I'll like once he shows them to me... Or what if they're songs that remind him of me?
I open the playlist and go through the songs. Yes, there are some that I like, but why in the world are most of those songs about unrequited love?
I sit there (rather lay there) on the couch for almost an hour, just having the songs play. As"I Can't Make You Love Me"by Bon Iver stops playing,"Line Without a Hook"by Ricky Montgomery starts...
Why?
Why does it seem like I am not the only one holding feelings that go far beyond friendship?
I sit up and turn off the iPod.
Is Spencer in love with me? Am I actually that fucking lucky?
Do I now just confront Spencer about it? What if I read the playlist wrong, and it's actually just a playlist like any other, and I make myself out to be a gigantic dummy, ruining my friendship with him?
This is stressful. But... Spencer wouldn't end our friendship just because of my little crush. The one I have since I first saw him. The one that makes me want to say"I love you"whenever he makes me laugh.
Right?
No. No, not Spencer. It's not like I decided to fall for him. It simply happened. He'd understand that should he not return my feelings, right?
Yes. Definitely.Maybe.
Maybe I should just stay quiet? Leave this question unsolved.
Is not knowing better than taking the risk? Is it smarter?
My phone rings, the picture of my best friend lighting up on the screen. Sometimes I am worried that he's able to read my mind.
I pick up, sounding so calm and cool I wanna pat my own shoulder. "Hey, Spence."
"Hey. Uhm... Did- I- You don't know by any chance if I left my iPod in my hoodie pocket, right?" he asks quickly.
"Yeah, I have it right here," I tell him.
"Cool. Cool," he answers, still sounding unnaturally stressed.
"Is everything okay?"
"Yeah. Of course. Listen, sweetheart, would it be okay if I'd come pick it up real quick?"
I frown. "Okay, what secrets do you have on that thing? Nudes? Porn? Homemade porn?"
"What?" he asks back, confused.
"Nobody loses it that much when their best friend has their iPod unless there's something on it you don't want me to see. So, is it nakey pics of you?" I tease. "Because if so, I can't guarantee that I won't be snooping for them."
"D-Don't turn it on. It- It's nothing suspicious. I just want- I need you to. It's cause..." he stutters and stammers until his voice falls silent.
Thinking about it for a second, I decide to take a leap of fate. I can easily play it off as part of the teasing, after all.
"Is this about the playlist with my name?"
The other end of the phone call is quiet. For a solid minute, I wonder if Spencer became unconscious. This silence somehow speaks louder than any excuse he could throw at me.
"Spence?" I ask.
I hear him swallow roughly. "Y-Yeah?"
"Is it about the playlist?" I whisper.
"Yes."
Goosebumps form on my entire body.
"Why?" I ask.
Almost silently, he says, "I think you already know why."
I hold my phone between my ear and shoulder so I can pinch my left hand. "Ouch."
Not a dream. I am wide awake.
I am wide awake, and Spencer returns my feelings.
I should buy a lottery ticket because this was a one-in-a-million chance of ever happening, and I should use the universe's decision to favor me as much as possible before my good luck streak fades.
"What happened?" Spencer asks, alerted by my whimper.
"N-Nothing," I answer quickly and a little dumb. "I just pinched myself."
"Why would you do that?"
Because I'm an idiot, Spencer.
"Wanted to make sure I didn't fall asleep on my couch."
He chuckles softly.
"Hey, uhm, Spence? Can we, like, I don't know... Meet in the park next to the De Luca Bookstore?"
"Of course. Why?"
"Because you asked for your iPod back," I say. "And maybe we could... I mean, weshouldtalk."
"Meet you there in 15?"
I agree. "Meet you there in 15."
*****
I walk through the park, glad that the rain we had encountered in New York hasn't reached DC yet. The sun is setting and casting a beautiful golden light over the little lake full of ducks and their little ducklings.
I pass a couple of benches until I reach the one Spencer sits on, staring at the water.
"Hey," I say, sitting down next to him.
He jumps a little, seemingly having been deeply in thoughts. "Hey."
I hand him his iPod. "Sorry for snooping. Wasn't cool of me."
He chuckles weakly, shoving the iPod into the pocket of his suit. "You know I don't mind when you're all over my stuff."
I giggle childishly. "Dirty."
He joins my laugh, making all of this way less awkward. As he stops laughing, a deep sigh escapes him. "I'm sorry you found out about it like that."
"How else would you've let me know?" I dare to ask cheekily.
"Honestly?" he laughs. "I would've taken my feeling to the grave with me."
"Why?" I tease. "Does being with me sound so bad?"
"You know that that's not the reason," he says, leaning closer and bumping me softly with his shoulder. "What would I've done if you didn't feel the same? I couldn't risk losing you."
Suddenly he jerks upright. "I- You- Do you even feel the same, or am I making a fool out of myself right now?"
"If I were to turn you down, I wouldn't still wear your hoodie," I mumble, amused, pulling the sleeves over my thumbs and feeling my face heat up.
A silence spreads between us, but it's not an uncomfortable one. We both seem nervous, but the good kind of nervous... the kind of nervousness you feel when newness in a relationship occurs.
Suddenly, Spencer's hand reaches for mine. I practically jump at this opportunity and enlace our fingers. He lifts my hand, placing a kiss on the back of it, and my heart skips a beat.
"I want to take you out on a date if that's okay with you," he says, making me nod excitedly.
"You have to pay, tough," I tell him. "Only brought my keys and 5 bucks."
Spencer chuckles. "You wanna go home and change first?"
"If you take me home now, we're staying in," I warn him with a smirk.
His tongue darts out, wetting his lips and a pink blush spreads on his cheeks. "We can always just order and watch TV."
I nod, and Spencer stands up, pulling me onto my feet.
As the night creeps in and the lanterns turn on, we walk towards the park's exit, still holding hands. All of a sudden, he stops his steps and pulls me in for a gentle yet longing kiss that lets me feel just how long we have wanted to do this.
"Sorry," Spencer smiles against my lips. "Couldn't wait any longer."
I peck his lips again, the butterflies in my stomach being the sweetest feeling I've ever felt. Then I grin.
"Look at you; got your iPod back, and it even came with a girlfriend. You really got more than you asked for today, huh?"
Continuing to walk, Spencer laughs. "Now imagine how much sooner we could've had this ifyouhad asked for it."
Giggling, I punch his arm. "Oh, shut up."

Gavin and Guy (separate) HCs!
Reward for @free-boundsoul winning. These are my first headcanons back (this is a lie I have Solaire clan hcs i just dont know when I wanna post them) after a while of not writing so I hope these are up to standards, enjoy!
Guy once BEGGED Honey to buy tickets to see Wicked. Their job pays better than his (like infinitely better) so he couldn’t afford them. After like a week or two they caved and bought a single ticket for him.
He complained about it saying he wanted his “honey bunny booboo bear” with him and after another week of whining they caved again and bought another.
Gavin can’t stand citrus fruit but makes sure to buy some whenever he goes grocery shopping because Freelancer likes them
Gavin prefers games that are either straightforward or rocky with the meaning being unclear, no inbetween at all.
Gavin can pole dance and unlike Damien it is for sexual intentions. Only reason Freelancer doesn’t know is because they don’t own a pole.
Guy has met every character in the cast with the only exception being Caelum, Scorpius, Cicirnus, and Quinn
Yes, even Brachium. He died for like a solid 5 minutes once.
Gavin was egotistical as FUCK when he first coalesced. He thought he was just automatically better than everyone else and that’s why his relationship with Ophiuchus is non-existent
Guy has a fanclub he doesn’t know about, and Honey is the vice president of it
Guy, Geordi, and Ollie are all online friends. Guy and Geordi do know each other irl but they haven’t met Ollie
Gavin used to be teased for his long name, it’s part of the reason his name is so short now
Guy and Gavin are THE most flexible characters in the cast no I will not take any criticism at this time
Contrary to popular belief, Guy isn’t a big fan of pizza. On the rare occasion he does eat pizza though it’s New York Style
Gavin spent at least 5 hours on the internet looking for the perfect name for him when he decided to change it.
One of the many reasons Gavin doesn’t like Ophiuchus is because they keep calling him “Vindemiator” despite him saying he goes by “Gavin” now.
Guy owns a Miku binder ironically
Guy used to have those little fuzzy mohawks as a kid until he decided to get a buzz cut when he was 13 and grew it out ever since
Guy had his first tooth kicked out in a McDonalds play place
Gavin is actually pretty good at “Golf With Your Friends” after Freelancer finally got him to sit down and pay attention.
Gavin owns THREE mermaid dresses
Guy can play the drums…he just feels like a drum guy
Guy is like…..wayyyyy too interested in the Hunting Adeline and Haunting Adeline. He doesn’t LIKE the books but he just…can’t put them down.
Neither can Honey
Gavin unironically listens to CupcakKe
Due to….habits… and him being a demon, Gavin can fit 50 marshmallows in his mouth. He doesn’t know this but Huxley would be the reason he found this out
His name was supposed to be a joke his mom made but Guy’s dad misinterpreted her intentions and told the doctor they wanted Guy to be named “Guy” with no further questions. Guy is putting him in the nursing home for this.
He was bullied relentlessly* for this in elementary and middle school
Gavin scams kids on roblox for fun
Guy was one of these “kids” (This happened last week he completely trusted Gavin because Gavin said “trust me”)
Both Gavin and Guy like to think they can win a staring contest by closing their eyes and not opening them because “technically it’s not blinking”
Freelancer likes to let Gavin thinks he won but Honey just slaps the shit out of Guy and says “YOU HAVE TO FUCKING STARE”
*by “bullied relentlessly” he means “being asked why he was named Guy every week" with no malicious intent whatsoever

Hi!
Thank goodness I was "able to catch you" while your asks are still open. I'm new army (does being into bts for a year and half now count as "new"?) and I've noticed how armys or other members' solos seem to always have a problem with jimin specifically? Yesterday pjms were talking about how jimin was dragged last year for appearing on the big screen at yoongi's show only for it to turn out that Yoongi was the one who wanted it
Now I've noticed that it's always Jimin who gets such reactions. When he goes to support one of his members, they say he's an attention seeker trying to steal the other's shine. I saw the Hobipalooza reactions live, when it was reported that Jimin was on his way to see Hobi, people were so mad. They were sure he'd try to take over Hobi's stage and make the show all about him. Also when he was seen with Jk on the streets of New York, they called him a leech. And when Taehyung had a show (I can't remember what it was but it was when Taehyung had the silver hair) they said the same thing
I haven't been in the fandom that long I think but Jimin has never once struck me as the kind of person to be envious of others and deliberately take their spotlight or turn attention towards himself. Instead he is the one who supports his members the most and doesn't ever differentiate between them.
What breaks my heart the most is that you don't see such reactions when it's any other member visiting the others and supporting them. I've never seen others being accused of trying to steal a member's spotlight when they go to visit them while they are busy with a show. You might see a member being called a leech but it's only done in regards to a ship. "Oh he's just doing this to feed the delulu" but never the way Jimin is accused of doing.
All the members solos don't always have a problem with each other's faves. But when it comes to Jimin it's like they've all established that he's the enemy. Jjks and kths never hate on each other's faves the way they hate on Jimin. Rapline stans claim to have a disdain for Maknae Line for being privileged since debut and being overrated while their faves are overlooked, but if you see their hate tweets, it's all directed at Jimin while the other two seem practically non-existent to them. They were just vile and awful during FACE era accusing Jimin of payola and getting fraud achievements, they'd be at it for WEEKS, but when Jungkook actually got all that it was silence. The few who did speak out about did it with such a nonchalant vibe like they were obligated because they don't wanna be called out as hypocrites by pjms. And they only spoke of it once while for Jimin it looked like they didn't sleep just to keep the trend going.
It's just so bizarre and very sad. How there are so many people who are unable to see how Jimin is being treated, baffles me. Because even during my first week getting into BTS I'd find comments that would make me side eye. Jimin would be praised and armys would have a "okay can we move on" vibe about it and even comment "ooh you should see Hobi. Now that's dancing/JK has the most beautiful voice/Taehyung has the best stage presence" and the classic "ALL members are good on stage, ALL of vocal line have unique voices, ALL of BTS suppor each other not only one" but when any other member is praised they enthusiastically agree and even talk about more stuff said member is good at or their "iconic" moments, there's no comparison, no "but" no "all of them" comments. How does anyone else not see this?
Why is Jimin treated like a rival of BTS instead of one of its members? What did he do?
He didn’t do anything. People fear Jimin’s gravitational pull because it throws things off balance.
Rational people know Jimin has never been and isn’t an attention seeker. He’ll highlight and praise people ahead of himself (often at his own expense) because he’s humble. But irrational people find him the complete opposite and it’s not to any fault of his own, it’s just because people are naturally drawn to him. He’s an attention hogger. That’s what these people are really getting at. He doesn’t have to do much to have all eyes on him and that’s to the detriment of the other members whose stans feel like they’re superior to Jimin but don’t command that same interest as he does. (There’s even an older video of th calling him out on needing to tone it down) That’s why people think Jimin purposefully tries to upstage the other members, but it just turns out that way because he’s the best performer out the bunch. 🤷🏾‍♀️
Best example would be that same yg concert you mentioned. Jk went the day before Jimin and there wasn’t that much noise, (outside of armys). Then in comparison, when Jimin came the next day, the hype and anticipation was astronomical. Hit tweets everywhere. Everybody was talking about his LC stage and that Tony Montana pop up. And that’s where the insecurity started to seep through from different corners. Nobody had any reservations about Jk performing the day prior yet with Jimin all of a sudden it became an issue. Yg stans kept reiterating how jimin was at his sold out tour. Armys acting like jimin was a stranger that yg graciously allowed to perform, and of course jjk’s who were pissed because jimin’s day made more noise than jk’s did. (Also that the infamous “I heard you guys are having more fun today than yesterday line) I never took it as a direct jab at jk, obviously. He was referencing what yg said earlier I believe, but he still wasn’t wrong. You watch the vid of his LC performance and you listen to those fan chants? You can tell that they were it’s just the truth.
Another non bts example is something that recently happened at a Dune premiere with Zendaya and Timothee where she got that really cool robot archive pull. There was a Timothee stan that got mad because Zendaya was the talk of the night and nobody was really paying attention to him. Calling her an attention seeker as well and claiming that she did it to get people to focus on her. But you see how crazy that sounds? Zendaya is known for her outstanding looks just like Jimin is known for his performances and stage presence. They don’t have to put any extra effort into getting seen. Everybody was already gonna be focused on them anyway because of who they are. Neither one of them can help that they’re impactful, but people take it as a negative because they believe that they’re taking up too much attention and they feel like the person they stan is getting left behind.
It’s just like in the initial years of when BTS was really blowing up and you’d see kpop stans every under hit tweet or YouTube comment. Trying to promote their own favs get some recognition. Or when they’d get mad when whenever somebody mentioned kpop all they’d know was BTS. Exactly why you have all these ex armys running around so resentful towards them because they were obsessed with the underdog story. BTS didn’t fit that mold anymore. They went to find a group that was unknown and realized they’ll remain that way because BTS and kpop still go hand in hand. Some people are adverse to super popular things. They always have to tear it/them down. Nitpick and find something to devalue it or claim they don’t deserve their spot because someone else does. That’s why people hang onto jimin’s vocals for dear life and over exaggerate their response to any mishap he may have. They need something to knock him down a peg and keep him at ground level. It’s basically a way to placate themselves by framing it like it “he might be popular but he’s still imperfect as a performer.”
Armys also don’t do the unanimous ”they’re all good” for BTS out of respect for them as a group, because (as we’ve seen) they have no issue speaking in hyperbole for other members. They just have to neutralize the praise jimin gets because it’s a way to take away from the spotlight put on him so he doesn’t shine as much. Another tactic kpop stans used to use, but armys conveniently act like they haven’t also acquired. They’ll use the guise of the OT7 umbrella to make it look like jimin getting his dues doesn’t bothers them, but realistically they know each bts member does not have equal talent. Some have their strong suits and in other areas they lack. With Jimin, people can talk about that encore all day and barring the unwarranted hate boner towards him, they still can’t truthfully say Jimin can’t sing at all because he can. His vocal color is unique and pretty. (people can have their preferences for others, not a problem.) and it caries a certain Je ne sais quoi that makes him that much more alluring.
Jimin’s just a powerhouse all on his own. Hybe knows it, armys know it and kpop stans know it. That’s why they all restrict, undermine or berate him at every turn (respectively). As long as Jimin is Jimin, he’s gonna be a threat and the anomaly, similar to how BTS was but on an individual level.

Fuck, it i love you.
Part 1/?
(Austin! Elvis x reader)
Summary; sugar! daddy Elvis basically starting a relationship between 34-year-old Elvis and 19-year-old reader, who’s the colonel’s step daughter... it starts of pretty innocent but soon turns into allot more
Tw; angst age difference sexual tension, fluff maybe some swearing that’s about it reader as annoyingly naïve at first bare with me
Note: priscilla doesn’t exist so he ain’t married….. might get dark from time to time
Year 1968; comeback special
you sighed softly looking out of the car window “I really really reallyyyy don’t want to come along you know that right”.
You said and shot your stepdad a glare, to say you didn’t like him was a soft expression of the hatred you felt towards that man, and you honestly didn’t get what your mom.
Saw in him and that you’ll never know either, but little did you know that. The colonel that’s what he called himself at least.
He looked your way and scoffed shaking his head at you “if it makes you feel better little girl, I didn’t want you to come either, but your mama asked me to help you start of. An acting career so be happy I even let you be in my boy his Christmas special hm?”
He said and gave you a stern look which made you roll your eyes. You didn’t even wanna waste the energy to respond to his comment you didn’t wanna.
waste your time any longer you in full honesty just wanted to go to school and study women’s rights. To make a better world for them but noooooooooo your mother wanted you to become a model or an actress. Cause a girl as pretty as you weren’t supposed to be the sweating away in the office all day.
But you swear that if you could have it your way you’d be living with your grandparents. Upstate New York and would be going to one of the best schools out there. But you didn’t have it your way you never did, and it never would with this dimwit around.
You sighed softly as the car was parked you got out the minute it stood still. And pulled down your baby blue dress and fixed your hair as you entered the studio with your stepdad.
You looked around as your eyes widened as you entered the building. You felt shyness build up in your stomach and wrapped your arms around yourself. “ain’t no way in hell I’m gonna be in that crowd! I don’t care what mama wants…” you whisper shouted at the colonel.
He scoffed at you and shook his head “your gonna be in that crowd if you like it or not little girl.” He shouted right back at you, you huffed and shook your head an stormed off yelling. “You aren’t even my dad!”
before he could even follow you, you hid in the first bathroom stall you could find wanting to get away from him.
You waited for a few minutes and the minute the heavy footsteps were gone. You made your way out of the small bathroom stall making it your mission to find the nearest bus stop.
in the neighborhood I the hopes to get to. School before second period, as you made your way down the hall you bumped into someone.
“I’m so so so sorry…I’m really clumsy and jumpy and I’ll get you a new.” You looked up at the person you were talking to “c-coffee.” it was the one and only Elvis fucking Presley.
He let out a chuckle and looked at you “it’s okay no need to apologize… leavin’ already huh?” He asked looking back at the exit and then back at you.
You looked at him feeling a tad nervous and shook your head “uhm no…..but yes,  you see mr I’m supposed to be at school… my step dragged me-.” You cut yourself of wondering why you were telling all this to Elvis freaking Presley. What was wrong with you he couldn’t care less why would he. “sorry you don’t care I’ll make my way out.” You giggled slightly embarrassed and turned on your heel starting to make your way away from him.
When you felt him grab you’re wrist, you looked at him surprised as he spoke up again. “first of all call me Elvis sweetheart….. second of all whose your stepdad?” he said in that deep voice with that southern accent it.
You were sure you were blushing you could feel It on your cheeks as you looked at him a bit surprised before answering the good mans question. “colonel tom parker” you mumbled and looked at your feet.
Elvis took a good look at you his eyes scanning over your body. He let out a hum at your answer before he spoke up again. “wait so why did you wanna leave already darlin?” he looked at you as you let out a.
sigh “well he wants me to be in the crowd an I uhm…. I don’t wanna leave I promise I just don’t wanna be In the crowd yano..?” you said as you look back up at him, his eyes staring right into yours. And oh boy did you get lost in those pretty blue eyes.
Elvis nodded his head and motioned for you to come along wrapping an arm around your shoulders. “c’mon follow me darling I’ll get you the best spot out of all of ‘em outta the eye of the public of course.” He said as he walked you over to the control center and you smiled softly to yourself leaning into his touch.
“say how old are ya anyway?” Elvis said looking down at you, you looked up at him and smiled “I’m 19”. Elvis nodded his head and smiled a you “good that’s a nice age”.
You felt your cheeks turn light pink as you and Elvis entered the control center room you. Looked around with big eyes so amazed by all the buttons that you didn’t even notice Elvis looking at you, you didn’t even  hear the chuckle escaping his lips.
The man had just met you but was already filled full of adoration for you. And he’d do everything in his power to make you is not that he need to do allot for him because.
At the end of the day he was Elvis fucking Presley and he had women dropping at his feet. By just flashing them a pearly white smile and my oh my was that pearly white smile working on that little heart of yours.
Elvis smiled and moved you over to a chair at the desk pulling out a chair for you. “here ya go honey take a seat ye while I talk to my friend over here.” You nodded your head and took a seat at the chair.  He pulled out for you as he talked to Steve
“and huh if the colonel comes In just tell him we didn’t need another person in the crowd so I made her your assistant ye you can have her do some coffee runs maybe to convince him of it.” He said to Steve as he nodded his head Elvis walked back over to you and smiled.
“it’s all set pretty now you just sit and enjoy the show ye” Elvis smiled and gave you a slight smirk. you giggled as you looked up at him “thank you so much… good luck you’ll do amazing” you said as he shoot you a wink before walking off onto the stage.
That was your first encounter with Elvis Presley and it certainly wouldn’t be your last

WORLD CLASS SINNER - FRANK CASTLE
Tumblr media
eight - beautiful liar
tags: n/a // seven // nine // masterlist
Pairing: billy x reader, frank x reader
Word Count: 6,938
Summary: A breaking point, new alliances, and seeds of mutual trust show Y/N who is and who isn’t on her side.
You and Billy took Morty away after that. It was a quiet car ride for the most part. Morty hardly said anything and Billy kept his focus on the road. He had one hand on the steering wheel, the other resting on your leg and absently tapping to the music on the radio.
You were busy with the swirls dancing between your fingers. The familiar hazy red heat of anger, the chilling wispy blues of sadness, the shaky yellow mist of fear. They weaved between your digits and swirled at your palm, blending out across your skin before reforming into separate entities. They moved like snakes over your knuckles and traced the lines of your palm.
There was something oddly comforting in watching your power in your hand. It was a reminder that you weren’t numb to the world like you so often wanted or claimed. You were human, with human feelings. And you were allowed to have those, to acknowledge them and live with them.
Matt was the one who insisted.
————————————
You were in the library, the folder with the case study open at one end of the small table and your notebook on the other end with a collection of highlighters and colored pens filling the gaps. You were working on an assignment that wasn’t due for at least two more weeks, but you needed something to keep your hands and mind busy. As you were walking to the student center earlier that day, you saw two girls - girls you didn’t even know - who looked just like Nat and Yelena.
Your heart sank and a hefty lump settled in your throat. Ever since then, you’d been jittery. Shaky hands, panicked glances in every corner. There was no way they were there. But your mind kept coming back to the ‘what if’ of it all.
“Foggy said you’d be here.” Matt said, tapping his cane against your foot. His sudden appearance made you jump and knock your notebook over. “Sorry.” He smiled nervously.
“It’s not you.” You sighed and collected your notebook. You condensed your materials and took his hand to guide him to the open chair on the other side. “Just a weird day, I guess… Sometimes I wanna shut it all down and just exist in a bubble for a while.”
“What do you mean?” His brows furrowed with worry behind his glasses.
“I don’t know… I thought a new setting would help but I still feel out of place. It’d be easier if I could just feel nothing.”
And you could. You could block it all out. You didn’t know why you hadn’t done that yet, but the way Matt silently focused in your direction reminded you why. He understood the best in you, despite still being early in your friendship. He seemed to know the truth in you despite the lies you were cloaked in.
“It’s not a bad thing to feel that you’re not happy.” He said after some quiet contemplation. “No one’s happy all the time.”
“Honestly, Matt, I don’t remember the last time I was happy.”
“That’s okay, too… Y/N, feeling those things doesn’t mean anything is wrong with you or you’re never gonna be happy. If you keep people that make you feel better around, pretty soon you won’t remember what this felt like.”
“So I should let myself be sad?”
“Why not?” He shrugged. “Otherwise you’ll never know how to get through it.”
—————————————
You were pulled from your memory when you felt the car stop. You closed your fist quickly and the colors poofed away. Though you knew no one else could see the hazes you did, it still felt that you needed to hide them. Climbing out the car, you saw Billy had driven you all to a nondescript hotel building. You couldn’t even tell if it was in New York or a neighboring city.
“And what’s the deal with you two, huh?” Morty commented as Billy led him through the building, you at his side. You hadn’t even registered Billy had a loose hold on your hand at first. “You order her off a KGB website or what?”
“Он понимает, что я могу убить его сейчас, и никого в этом месте это не волнует, верно? Это сделало бы вам с Фрэнком одолжение.” You said simply, turning to give Morty a sarcastic expression while Billy chuckled. (He does realize I can kill him and no one in this place would care, right? It’d be doing you and Frank a favor.)
“Funny.” He sneered back.
“We used to work together at Anvil.” You said plainly. “I left for a better opportunity.”
“And William let you in on this?” His brows raised as Billy opened the door. “Sleep your way to the top, right?”
You made a move towards him but Billy stepped in front and put an arm around your waist. You glared up at him for a second until you felt it, that confirmation that he had something going. It was smooth confidence, a sense of being in control. You nodded slightly and let out a deep breath to show that you were fine so he backed away, guiding you into the room.
Morty commented on the wallpaper while Billy sat in the chair near the small dining table. He motioned you over and you went, finding yourself trusting whatever plan he had. Likely because you had no real options, unless you were to try to kill them both.
But you’d lose more than you’d gain.
You put your hand on his shoulder again, resting a knee over his leg and leaning into him slightly while his arm hung lazily at your hips.
Though as you were there, you felt something else, something far away. Hope was the best way to describe it.
It was familiar but not too much so. You knew the person, but they were relatively new to your life. But with it came closure, peace almost. And that source you’d know anywhere.
Frank. Which meant the other was Lieberman. Meaning they had something good, something that could end it all. Something you were missing because you were at Billy’s side.
“You never liked me much, did you, Morty?” He said with a certain amusement in his voice.
“Nope.” Morty answered simply. “You special forces types always pissed me off.”
“Probably why he doesn’t like me either.” You joked lowly and Billy chuckled.
“And you had him drinking off the floor like a dog.” Billy continued and you smiled.
Morty wandered the room making some other comment that you ignored.
“You ready?” He said lowly.
“For what?” You asked in the same low tone.
He gently moved your knee and stood, nodding for you to follow. As you two went into the next room with Morty, you saw the dead body on the bed. A woman in tight leather with her throat slashed. You didn’t need to ask to know that was likely the woman Morty had expected. The sight of the uninvolved woman lying dead on sheets stained with her own blood made your chest uncomfortably tight.
You weren’t able to comment on the body because when you turned back to the men, you saw Morty reaching for his gun. As soon as it was in full view, you kicked out at his hand and the gun clattered to the floor. You heard the sound of the blade at Billy’s wrist moments before the squelch of the knife piercing Morty’s abdomen. One. Two. Three times.
He fell to the floor with a thud while Billy collected the discarded gun and cleaned his blade. You moved around the man and put your foot on Morty’s back, flattening him to the floor. You watched the puddle of blood grow thicker and stepped on the man to get to the phone he was crawling to. You yanked the cable out the back and moved away, leaving the man as a bloodied pile on the floor.
As you were getting to Billy’s side, you felt something new. Despite being miles away, you could feel that spark of hope snuff itself out. It was replaced with anger but not a regular pissed-off type of anger. It burned, even from where you were. While Billy was on the phone, you focused in on it a little more and it was easy to understand that whatever Frank had tried had failed. And that felt like a punch to the gut.
The next day, you tried to call Billy so you could talk about the past day or so. You wanted to find out, as definitively as you could, where his loyalty truly was. Obviously, he had some tendency to side with Rawlins given there was some sort of power dynamic or reciprocal relationship between them. But you wondered if there was enough loyalty to Frank that you could wiggle in and separate Billy from Rawlins completely.
Except he didn’t answer.
You checked in with Dex and he said that there was nothing for you and him yet, but you were more than welcome to keep your eyes and ears open for something that he could bring to your SAC.
So with nothing else to do, you went to Lieberman’s.
You knew there would be an earful from Frank the second you walked in, but you opened your mouth and welcomed the argument almost immediately.
“…image from your scope.” Lieberman told Frank and he was the first to acknowledge your appearance. “Hey, Y/N.”
“Hi.” You nodded. “It’s William Rawlins.” You said, gesturing to the man on the screen that you weren’t looking at.
Instead, you were locked in with Frank.
“Uh, yeah… The third.” Lieberman added awkwardly. He must’ve picked up on the tension because he tried to keep the conversation moving forward. “He’s the director of covert operations at the CIA. Takes a guy like this to pull it all together and make it stick.”
“How’d you know that, huh?” Frank asked bitterly.
Sometimes his monotone made it hard to read but that faint red from him was obvious to you.
“I also know that you went after him yesterday and it didn’t work.” You said simply, working to keep your voice level. “It was a CIA safe house, meaning bulletproof glass. No one told you that?”
“I tried to.” Lieberman said from behind Frank.
“Why were you at Bennett’s place, Y/N?” Frank pressed.
“Rawlins hired the team to watch Bennett. One of the guys on the team called me and asked if I was busy. I went because you didn’t like my original idea so I had to improvise.”
“Improvise. Improvise.” Frank repeated and you found yourself feeling slightly intimidated, though you didn’t show it. “What the hell are you up to, hmm? What if Rawlins has you killed cause you did your own thing?”
“He won’t.” You challenged, knowing that Billy - for the moment, at least - wouldn’t let it happen.
“You don’t know that.”
“I do.”
“How? How do you know any of this?”
“Oh please.” You scoffed. “I’ve been doing this shit my whole life. At some point, it gets predictable.”
“Answer the goddamn question.”
“I did. Rawlins hired a team, I got an offer. What’s not connecting?”
“Who called you?”
“Someone I used to work with at Anvil.”
“Anvil? So Russo knew about the team?”
“Rawlins probably tried him, yeah.” You shrugged, ensuring to diminish those suspicions in him. “I guess he helped set up some of Anvil’s early contracts so he thinks Billy owes him something.”
“Jesus Christ.” Frank muttered. “Alright, well what else do you know? Since you wanna go rogue and do whatever the hell you want behind my back.”
“Hey, I had good intel.” You defended. “No one asked you to go take a shot at a goddamn safe house!”
“Okay!” Lieberman yelled suddenly, standing and pushing his way in between you and Frank.
You hadn’t even realized either of you had moved forward to be nearly toe to toe until Lieberman’s elbow was digging into your chest to push you away. The bony pressure snapped you from that suffocating mania and you saw the red at the edge of your vision fading back to the living heat on your skin.
“Frank, you’re the one who said we could trust her.” Lieberman reasoned. “We need her.. She’s good, y’know. She has your back. You need that out there.”
Frank said nothing, only stared at you.
“Y/N.” Lieberman turned towards you. “I know you’re used to doing things your way, but we really need to work together for this to work. Rawlins knows we’re coming for him, which means we need to be clean from here on out.”
“Yeah, you’re right.” You nodded.
“Okay.” He nodded. “No more going behind anyone’s backs. Everything out in the open.”
“Yeah.” Frank agreed.
“Morty Bennett’s dead.” You said flatly. “My guess is to protect you or to just Rawlins cashing in an I.O.U. because Billy did it.”
“Yeah, I saw the piece the Bulletin ran on that.” Lieberman agreed. “Stabbed to death.”
“Good.” Frank nodded.
“Shit.” Lieberman said suddenly, abandoning his post between you two to return to the computer. “What if- Oh, God. What if he’s been waiting for someone to look for him? By searching his file, I’ve just blown us. There could be a team on its way right now.”
“Relax a second.” You tried but the man’s frazzled state vibrated the air in the compound.
“You’ve been on that CIA site all day, right? You seen anything about us? Any chatter at all?” Frank added in a matter-of-fact tone.
“No..” Lieberman said awkwardly.
“No?” You repeated, now baffled by the panic. “CIA’s not coming after us. FBI doesn’t have anything to do with this either. My partner would’ve let me know if this hit my SAC’s desk. Homeland barely has anything on Kentucky and I’m guessing his appearance on base is being masked as a training exercise.”
“I took a shot at this guy and you didn’t read anything about it.” Frank continued. “You’re scared, David, and I get that. But think about how this Rawlins prick feels. I think the three of us, we’re sitting pretty right now.”
“He’s trusting his inner circle to take care of it.” You reasoned. “Whoever from Cerberus he can still get to and any new allies he’s made, he’s gonna send them our way first before anything legit comes at us.”
Within minutes of that conversation ending, Lieberman was sent into a new spiral of panic. The cameras within his home were no longer accessible so he urged you and Frank to go look into it. You two conceded and Frank stopped off to get flowers for Sarah.
When you two arrived, you expected there to be some sort of argument between you all about that missed dinner, but there was none. It wasn’t even mentioned. You shrugged it off as Frank having already made up for it. Instead, she offered you two a glass of wine and conversation.
You had your pocket tech out and came to find out that there was no damage to cameras or connection. It was just that the internet had been unplugged.
As you focused back on the conversation in front of you, you found a lightness in the air. More so than just friendly. You wondered if Sarah was flirting with Frank, at least a little bit.
You went under the end table and reconnected the internet so that buzzing panic gnawing at the back of your head would go away. In the meantime, Sarah poured you two another glass while talking about David.
“You never talk about your wife.” Sarah told Frank before glancing at you. “And you have been awfully quiet. Husband?”
“No, not anymore.” You gave a sad smile. “He is- Or was truly perfect… The kind of feeling that you’ll never get with anyone else. Other guys are different and you think that’s good, till you miss something specific he used to do. You said David would fill your tank, Matt would sit on the roof of our building with me. We’d just kinda exist, in our own space where almost no one could find us.”
Your fingers slipped under the collar of your shirt and you found the chain with the band.
“I’m so sorry.. Was it recent?” Her eyes softened and she placed a comforting hand over yours.
“It’s been a few months.” You nodded. “He was the type that I’ll be getting over for the rest of my life.”
Frank patted your back gently and you smiled slightly in thanks before he started talking about Maria. You realized that the explosions in your chest were less frequent, the heat in your blood less aggressive. The hole in your chest didn’t echo as deep. You were still angry and alone, but maybe it did get better if you let yourself feel it.
It wouldn’t go away on its own but everyday processes it and accepts it a little bit more.
Maybe you could figure out how to get through it after all.
Sarah tried to convince you two to stay longer but you both politely declined. You stated your FBI case and Frank simply said he had ‘things’ to do. She gave you two a small tupperware, leaning in to kiss Frank only moments after. You spun on your heel and hurried out the room while Frank let her down gently.
You laughed about it once you two were in the car and teased Frank the drive back, only to get a ‘yeah, yeah’ and a chuckle.
The next day, you got a call from Dinah. She asked if she could meet you for drinks somewhere you two could talk and you could feel her pride through the phone. She had something good. You agreed and asked her to meet you at Josie’s after she got out of the office.
Not much happened during the day, so around six she called again. You met her outside the building and she was hesitant to go inside. You, however, walked in with a smile on your face and all the regulars celebrated your arrival.
You ordered a drink for you both and told Josie to start you a tab. She joked that you'd better not have the same paying habits as your friends and you insisted you’d close at the end of the night.
“So, you have something good for me?” You asked with a smirk.
“You were right about the bug.” She said quietly, leaning in to keep secrecy.
“You don’t have to whisper.” You said, mocking her with the same tone - which earned you a scowl - before speaking plainly. “No one here gives a shit. One of the perks of doing business here.”
You remembered when you and your friends sat at one of the tables, talking to Grotto. It was the start of what would turn into a long road with Frank Castle and the Punisher.
“How did you know about it?” Her voice snapped you back.
“Doing business here?” You questioned. “The guys at Nelson and Murdock loved coming here, been doing it since college.”
“I meant the bug.”
“There was feedback.” You gestured vaguely to your head. “You figure out who’s on the other end?”
“No, but I have a plan. I’m setting up a fake meet, day after tomorrow, with Jack DeLeon and use Frank Castle’s name as bait.”
“Two names like that means a big risk. I assume you’ve got a solid team?”
“It’s… Standard.”
“So why’d you call me?”
“I was hoping for your freelance help.”
“Mmm.” You hummed with a new smirk. “I’d thought you’d never ask. You think we’re gonna catch whoever’s after Castle?”
“It’s the best chance we have.” She defended.
“And do what with them?”
“Expose them.” She said as if it was obvious. “Put them on trial.”
“Dinah, these men that were chasing, killed two kids and an innocent woman.” You said plainly, jabbing a finger against the tabletop to punctuate your words. “You’re not chasing one ghost, but two. Castle hears you have the guy responsible, he’s gonna come for him. Just like he came for Schoonover. And Bennett. Kitchen Irish, Mexican Cartel, Dogs of Hell. What makes you any different?”
“Once we expose what happened in Kandahar, Castle can have him.”
“I doubt it gets that far.”
“Do you know something? Is that your point?”
“What if I told you I had a theory as to who was at the top of the whole thing?”
“I’d say you’re full of shit.”
“Am I?” You laughed slightly. “Billy usually doesn’t think so.”
Her eyes were suddenly taken over by the green haze of jealousy.
“Don’t forget that he’s not all yours, Dinah.” You taunted.
“I never said he was.” She countered tightly while the haze faded.
“Right… When was the last time he woke up in your bed, then?”
“That’s… not relevant.”
“So this morning then.” You nodded. “Explains why he didn’t call me back last night.”
“What do you know, Y/N?” She said firmly. “Besides how to get on my nerves within twenty minutes.”
“I met this guy recently, CIA head of covert ops. Now he looks like every other run of the mill CIA department head, but the eye… Frank told me how he went in on Orange and his guys had to pull him off. This guy’s eye matches Frank’s story.”
“Who was it?”
“That’s the kicker. Rumor is this guy has old money. I’m talking his family’s been in everything throughout the generations. We can’t go after him without a direct line and solid confirmation.”
“Give me the name, Y/N.”
“Don’t know it.” You shrugged. “All I know is that he’s ’the third’. And I’m in on the sting, by the way. You have a tactical for me?”
She handed you a folder.
“We’ve uploaded a fake one to our servers.” She explained as you looked over the pages.
“Yeah, the bug in your office is probably in your computers too. Let me ask you this… You coming to me right now, is that for me as a federal agent or me as a ghost story? Because those have two completely different operating guidelines.”
“I need results.” She said firmly, though it seemed more to convince herself than you. “But I also believe in the law so… What’s the difference?”
“Blood. And equipment. The ghost story has better toys.”
“Just-“ She groaned. “The federal agent. I need these men alive, okay? One of them gotta talk.”
“Right…” You nodded. “You hear about Morty Bennett?”
“No?”
“Stabbed to death in a motel upstate.” You said. “After an alleged training exercise, but he also was in on the drugs in the KIAs.”
“You think your CIA guy had him killed?”
“It tracks… He had Henderson killed. He wants Castle killed. He has Bennett killed after Frank shows up.”
“It’s scary how fast you can connect dots.” She said with mild awe. “Maybe you were made for the FBI.”
“That is not what I was made for.” You looked to her, holding out your glass for a toast.
“What is it then?” She raised hers.
“You’ll see soon enough.”
You two didn’t talk for much longer. You paid your tab on the way out as promised before returning to Lieberman’s. You had to pause when you walked in to process to seemingly off the wall conversation they were having.
“Do you. Miss sex?” Lieberman said with a drunken slur, to which Frank laughed.
“What do you want me to say?” He said with a shrug and a smile.
Frank noticed you and gestured you over. You dropped on the seat beside him and he passed you the bottle. You glanced at the label before shrugging and taking a drink.
“Because for me, I miss sex.” Lieberman ranted and you made a face to yourself. “You wanna hear something funny?”
“What’s that?” Frank said.
“I’m hung like a moose.” He answered proudly.
“Ты, должно быть, шутишь.” You laughed and passed the bottle back to Frank. (You’ve got to be kidding.)
“Y/N!” Lieberman announced happily. “You miss sex?”
“No.” You shook your head.
“No?” His brows furrowed and he dramatically cocked his head. “A woman like you doesn’t miss sex?”
“Why would I miss it?”
“Wait, do you two…” He trailed off and gestured to you and Frank. You stared expectantly with raised brows while Frank cocked his head in question. “You two hook up?”
“Отвратительно!” You said and laughed. “He’s not exactly my type.” (Gross!)
“Not your type? He’s exactly your type!” Lieberman reasoned.
“No, he’s not.”
“Yeah… Angry, check. Murderous, check. Ruggedly handsome, check.” Lieberman threw his arms widely to the side. “What else do ya need, Y/N?”
“Sounds more like he’s your type.” You joked. “Besides, my last guy was more of an altar boy. Nowadays I tend to go for a man who’s a little more unstable.”
“Oh, what did- What do you guys call him?” He looked over his shoulder while he thought before spinning back to face you two. “Red! Red wasn’t any good then?”
“Red was plenty good.” You defended with a laugh. “But my sex life didn’t die with him.”
“Jesus Christ.” Frank muttered and made a face before drinking from the bottle.
“I can make it worse.” You laughed and shifted to face him.
“Please don’t.”
“Yeah, I usually call Bi-“ You began before Frank leaned forward and pushed you gently by your forehead, making you laugh. You looked over and saw Lieberman drop his pants so you laughed again before covering your eyes.
You dropped your head to Frank’s shoulder as a means to hide while Lieberman made jokes about Frank being an ass man, to which you were still laughing.
You hadn’t realized before, but you had almost forgotten what your honest laugh sounded like.
“It’s good to hear you laugh like that, Princess.” Frank said honestly when Lieberman took a few steps away. “Didn’t think I would till this was all over.”
“Yeah, I’m sorry I’ve been so horrible lately.” You admitted as you straightened. “I don’t know how to feel this or even what I should feel. I’m pretty lost right now.”
Before Frank could offer any other consolation, Lieberman staggered back in.
“Madani is how we fix this! She wants the same things we do. We don’t need to hide from her. We give it to her and she arrests Rawlins. I go home, boom!” Lieberman ranted quickly and you instantly felt the light air of drunken jokes fall heavy.
“No.” You said flatly while Frank firmly said “Stop that shit.”
“Rawlins dies.” You continued. “You said it yourself, he has hands in everything. That kind of reach can surpass prison.”
“That’s right.” Lieberman said sarcastically. “Everybody dies with you two. Your family’s dead.” He pointed to Frank. “Your husband’s dead.” He pointed to you.
Why did everyone call Matt your husband?
“Anyone that ever look at you sideways, they’re dead.” He continued. “And you just keep on going. You two are psychopaths.”
“I let Wilson Fisk live that night and I’ve regretted it every since. If you want to see this thing to the end, I highly suggest you stop while you have your head..”
You stood quickly with tight fists but Frank reached out for your wrist. Lieberman stormed away in a huff and you felt your nails digging into your palm as your fist got impossibly tighter. Lieberman said something about calling Madani so you pulled yourself free and moved across the room.
You knocked the phone out of his hand and he took a swing at you. You ducked quickly and sidestepped before slamming an elbow against the pressure point of his chest. He wobbled into Frank, who knocked him unconscious.
“Madani has a plan she brought to me.” You said as Frank set up Lieberman on the cot. “She wants to go after Rawlins, but she doesn’t know it’s Rawlins.”
“How’s she gonna do that?” Frank asked, seemingly uninterested.
“Fake sting.” You explained. “She put out a tact plan that says you’re meeting with DeLeon, hopes it’ll draw out his team and she can get info.”
“You gonna do it?”
“Yeah, might as well.”
“Why?”
To find out what side Billy’s on.
“Keep tabs.” You said instead. “There’s rumors stirring that I don’t like.”
“Anything I should know?”
“Nothing you’d believe.” You said honestly.
“So, what, you’re just gonna stroll up with your goggles and little buzzers like nothing?”
At that you laughed.
“No, just me. No mask, no suit, no Bites. Just me and a bulletproof and a pistol.”
“Alright.” Frank nodded. “Don’t get killed, okay?”
“Haven’t failed you yet, right? I’ll be back in one piece.”
You went home to find your door cracked open. You instinctively reached for the gun at your hip but you came up empty. Instead, you checked under your cuff and found the blade. With a silent curse, you crept forward with a sudden feeling of being unwelcome in your own apartment. You went to release the blade but used the other hand to slow it to reduce the sound. The tip threatened to break the skin of your palm as you guided it out.
As you moved into your apartment, you saw a vaguely familiar shape kneeling at the closet under the stairs that led to the roof. You started a little harder and saw the familiar trail of long blonde hair.
“Dammit, Karen.” You said loudly, to which she jumped. “Why are you in my apartment?”
“Sorry, I just…” She said quickly as she pushed the case back and carefully shut the doors. “Still doesn’t feel real is all.”
You sighed slightly and gestured for her to sit while you went back to shut your door. You sat beside her on the couch and removed the blade from around your wrist. You tossed it into the coffee table with a loud clank before you stared at the empty bed that was almost   mocking you from your bedroom.
“Some days I wake up and I still think he’ll be next to me.” You said absently. “And then I realize he’s not and it feels like a knife in my chest.”
“Y/N..” She said gently and her hand came to your arm, snapping you from that heavy melancholy.
“I’m sure you’ve heard but we’re getting closer.” You said instead, pushing to your feet to get space as the tears began to burn your eyes. “We’ve got a name and a face. Just need an opening.”
“Oh.. That’s good, right? The sooner all this is done the better.” She tried and you scoffed.
“Karen, nothing about any of this will get better. Frank’s not gonna come out as an upstanding citizen once this guy is gone. Matt isn’t gonna come back. Nelson and Murdock won’t come back.”
“I didn’t mean-“
“We won’t come back either.”
“I don’t understand…”
“You and I.” You shrugged slightly. “After I told you about Exodus but before Grotto came to us, we were becoming pretty decent friends.”
“I’m still your friend, Y/N. Foggy is still your friend.” She said with gentle insistence as she stood to face you. “I know that nothing’s going to be the same. I’m not that naive, but you have to believe that you won’t be miserable forever.”
Maybe that’s what you were made for. Misery.
“Can you just…” You gestured to your door. “With Frank and Billy and Dinah and Lieberman and Sarah and Orange, worrying about you and Foggy is the last thing I need right now.”
She scoffed lightly before muttering to herself as she headed to the door. She was nearly out when you heard her footsteps coming back. You had to bite your tongue to keep your sharp comment back as you glared at her, waiting for her words.
“You know.” She said angrily, a slight snarl as she clicked her tongue. “You can’t sit here and blame Matt’s death for the shitty way you treat people that care about you.”
“Right. Thanks.” You nodded, slamming your shoulder against hers as you moved past her. You nearly slammed the bedroom door behind you.
The next morning you had a call from Billy, saying he wanted to pick you up for lunch to talk about a new project. You also had a text from an unknown number saying to be outside and you knew it had to be Frank or Lieberman. You got dressed quickly and grabbed a jacket before heading down, getting out just as  the car pulled up. Without much explanation, Frank drove to Sarah’s house.
You two stepped inside and the atmosphere of the house was noticeably thicker than the last time. The mention of her son sent panic through the air and it made you shiver. You turned your head up the stairs, feeling a young anger burning under the thick blanket of loneliness. A few feet away sat a vibrating bundle of mixed emotions. Sadness, stress, exhaustion.
“Is Leo upstairs too?” You asked simply.
“Yeah… Both the kids are.” Sarah nodded.
“Why don’t you take a walk while we talk to them, yeah?” You offered, adding a small smile while you took in some of her worry. “Pete’ll talk to Zach and I’ll chat with Leo.”
She sniffled before nodding. She led you upstairs to Leo’s room before she stopped at Zach’s and asked him to head down. Zach stopped and stared at you in silence for a second before glancing to either hip, likely looking for your gun.
“Can I hold the gun now?” He said and you frowned.
“Only got my badge today.” You shrugged and shifted your jacket to show the badge. “And you’re still not old enough, bud.”
You tapped on Leo’s door and she called for you to come in. She smiled widely at you and adjusted on her bed so you could sit beside her. You put hands in your pockets as you sat and found the small enamel emblem waiting for you. You pulled it out and were greeted with the vibrant red hourglass of the Red Room.
You realized you hadn’t worn that jacket since you and Matt revealed your identities to each other in the office.
“What that?” Leo asked, leaning over to see.
“This is a very complicated little symbol.” You said honestly. “Y’know, I was a very different person growing up. A lot angrier, lonelier, more hurt. And this-“ You lifted the shape for you both to see. “-is a symbol of the place that caused it all.”
“Was it a school?”
“Sort of, like a boarding school and an orphanage put together.” You offered her the emblem. “I learned a lot in that place, about myself and different skills. It made me who I am, or who I thought I had to be at least.”
You glanced over and saw she was fascinated with the little piece of enamel.
“You can keep it if you’d like.” You laughed slightly. “I may not love it but it does show that the things we go through don’t define us… You don’t have to be the one who holds everything together.”
“Did my mom ask you to say that?” She dropped her hands to her lap.
“No.” You shrugged. “Just thought you’d need to hear it.”
“One of us has to have their head on straight. If it’s not gonna be Zach, then it’s me.” She nodded, as if trying to convince herself more than you.
“Right, right. Did you ever hear about Daredevil and Exodus?”
“Yeah?”
“It was like that with them, too. Daredevil thought Exodus was crazy for wanting things her way. She wanted to hurt the people that did what was done to her. Yeah, she wasn’t hurting the people that hurt her, but if they did the same things to others, it was the same.”
“But it’s not.”
“Right, that’s what Daredevil said. He agreed that bad people needed to face consequences but right consequences. Arrests and charges and trials. They argued for a long time in the beginning.”
“So who gave in?”
“You ever hear about Daredevil killing anyone?” You raised your brows and she shook her head. “Me neither. Exodus pulled back, trusted Daredevil and Daredevil stopped trying so hard to control everything she did.”
“How do you know this?”
You leaned forward and back, looking around as if to make sure no one else was around, then you motioned her closer. She leaned in as did you, lifting a hand to cover your mouth.
“Because I’m Exodus.” You whispered and her mouth dropped. “Or I was, at least, before I got the FBI spot.”
“Ohmygod!” She whispered loudly. “Does Pete know?”
“Nah.” You shook your head.
“Wait. But you’re so nice?”
“It took a lot of violence to be so gentle.” You nodded. “And I’m not always like this… Growing up I was tired of being afraid, so I became something others would fear.”
“I’m not afraid of you.”
“Really?”
“Really.” She nodded. “I like you’re kinda cool.”
“Well in that case, I want you to keep that with you, okay?” You gestured to the hourglass. “It’s more than a symbol. So long as you have it, you'll know I have your back.”
“Thanks.” She smiled. “Could you…”
Your brows raised in question.
“Could you teach me some stuff?”
“Like fighting?”
“Yeah…”
“I'm not gonna teach you anything crazy.” You laughed. “But I can show you how to get out of stuff. C’mon.”
You offered her your hand and she took it excitedly, shoving the Red Room logo into her pocket. You two went downstairs and found Frank getting ready to take Zach outside. The guys began throwing a football in the street while you showed Leo how to break a few basic grapples and some common reversals.
You had just sat down after your shower when Billy called. You groaned as you pushed yourself to your feet and headed out again. As little as you wanted to be in your apartment, you wanted at least a few minutes to sit down. Regardless, you met Billy out front.
He was waiting outside the car and opened the door for you. You said nothing as you sat in the passenger seat and he said nothing when he drove you to some out of the way part of the waterfront.
“This isn’t lunch.” You said simply.
He gave a small chuckle in return before he got out. You muttered to yourself about what you had gotten yourself into while you shoved the door open. You slammed it behind yourself and took a few short steps to catch up to Billy. He looked over his shoulder and offered you a smirk that you furrowed your brows at.
What the hell was he up to?
After a few minutes of silence, you two standing tensely on opposite sides of the room, a small group of men entered. You stood taller almost instantly, one hand tightening into a fist while the other snuck behind your back for the blade at your belt.
But the men walked right past you.
They didn’t even acknowledge your presence in the far corner. They were completely focused on Billy, but you weren’t so sure that would be a good thing. Your body relaxed only a fraction of a percent when their conversation started. It took them out of the room and Billy’s eyes met yours, silently asking if you were going to follow.
Hesitantly, you did.
You placed yourself in the doorway Billy was previously waiting in and listening quietly. Both arms were crossed over your chest, hiding balled up fists as the men talked. You didn’t care all that much to listen, knowing whatever Billy was going to offer would be met with refusal.
You couldn’t play both sides forever. When you tried to do that with Fisk and Matt, it got complicated. It got messy. People got hurt that didn’t need to and it wasn’t like you had a ton of spare people as of late.
“So who’s the girl?” One of the men finally acknowledged you.
“Bystander.” You said flatly with a small shrug.
“A bystander that doesn’t flinch at open fire on civilians?” Another challenged. “I don’t buy it.”
“Good thing you don’t have to.” You hissed before pushing yourself up and looking to Billy. “Thanks for the invite, but I’m not interested. Have fun though.”
You offered a salute before turning in your heels and leaving. You left without responding to any of the comments in your wake, both from Billy and his friends. You contemplated waiting at his car but that defeated the whole point of your exit so you opted to walk. You didn’t get far before Billy was calling you back.
When you didn’t stop or turn around, you heard his rushed footsteps to catch you.
“So that’s it, huh?” He asked when he finally got to your side.
“Yeah, I’m not interested in being an errand boy for Rawlins. Been there, done that. No thanks.” You answered simply, keeping your eyes forward and your feet moving.
“C’mon, Y/N.” He groaned. “You really think-“
“Just stop.” You cut in firmly. “I’m not doing anything for Rawlins anymore. I need to focus on my own shit, not trying to take down Frank.”
“He’s not gonna let you just walk away.”
“Well then I hope you’ll give me a heads up when I become your next blacked out search and destroy op.”

WIP Weekend Accountability Pt. 1 of 3
So, for WIP weekend, I posted a poll about which of my Big WIPs I should focus on for the weekend and this was the result of that poll
Tumblr media
I decided I would write for all 3 obviously, and post snippets with word counts based on the number of votes they got. Here are the snippet word counts:
Tumblr media
ANYWAY TO THE FIRST SNIPPET
romcom!AU
It wasn’t like Steve was pressed for time, seeing as he had nine days left of what was supposed to be a romantic vacation with his girlfriend of seven years turned fiancée. Nine days until he returned home to an empty apartment, one that he had never lived in alone before. Nine days until he was back in a bed that he had only ever shared with Nancy, nine days until he was sleeping in the vibrant, loudly-patterned sheets Nancy bought because she thought Steve would like them. He did, very much so, but now the thought of climbing into them single made him feel sick.
Taking the little, white satin box out of his pocket, Steve placed it on the bar and stared at it. How did he fuck it up so badly? It wasn’t like he was just deciding to spring a proposal on Nancy out of nowhere, and it wasn’t like this vacation was a surprise either. This had been months in the planning.
The ring itself took months of shopping to pick the perfect one; a simple silver band, with the stone inset so it wouldn’t catch on anything when Nancy was working, with engraved vines along the flat surface. They had talked about their future, and Steve had said he saw her as part of it and she agreed. They had been together for six years at that point, they lived together for five of those. Steve had moved to New York with her for her career and everything.
When the opportunity came up, he and Nancy discussed it and what it would mean for them as a couple. Steve loved the school where he taught history back in Indiana, loved the students and they loved him. Leaving them was gut-wrenching, but the way he figured it, he could teach history anywhere, that amazing students existed everywhere. The kind of opportunity that Nancy made happen for herself was once-in-a-lifetime.
Plus, being in New York meant he was closer to his parents which was a nice bonus, even if that opened Steve up for his dad prodding him to leave teaching entirely again.
Teaching in New York was completely different than what Steve was used to, though. The classes were bigger, the funding somehow less, and the students were jaded. Steve still did his best by them, and he definitely believed he was making a difference, even if it was just with a handful of the kids, but he could feel himself plummeting to a burn-out within a year and a half of moving.
The kicker about all of it? The vacation had started as Nancy’s idea.
Tagging the buddies I think'll wanna see this the most: @patchworkgargoyle @scarcrossdlvrs @indigohightide @steddieas-shegoes @steve-harringtits @mylilplanet @afewproblems @xenon-demon @inairbinad @matchingbatbites @starryeyedjanai @sidekick-hero @stobinesque @spicysix @thefreakandthehair

Twitter Famous (Jason Sudeikis x Reader) - Chapter 2
Tumblr media
wc: 1.2k
Story Page | Story Tag
You paced the kitchen while Andie made the two of you coffee, your phone sitting a safe distance away as if it was radioactive. Andie handed you the mug and you paused only briefly to take a sip before continuing your walking.
“Okay, so walk me through it again. Why are we freaking out in a bad way and not a good way?”
“Andie,” you sighed, finally stopping and hopping up on your kitchen counter across from where your friend leaned against the stove, “he’s going to fucking hate me. The man doesn’t even tweet and he’s getting harassed on Twitter on my behalf.”
“It’s funny! He’s a funny guy, he’ll get it. Plus, so many people think you two would be hot together, they’re shipping it, dude. Did he DM you or anything?”
“No, he followed me though.”
“See! He wouldn’t do that if he was pissed off. You know you’re allowed to have a little fun.” Andie finished the last of her coffee and stood on her tiptoes to kiss your cheek. “I’ve gotta run, I’m flying out to New York tonight. I know you have to call Kayla, but please can you just live a little? If you can’t meet your favorite celebrity then what the hell is the point of being famous?”
You chuckled, sliding off the counter to walk her to the door. “Alright, alright, but when Kayla has to manage a PR crisis…”
“It’s my fault, and I accept that gladly if it means you get to meet the love of your life, Jason Sudeikis,” Andie grinned and you rolled your eyes—there were so many ways for this to go and almost none of them were love, but Andie’s energy was addicting. It was nice to have someone that constantly pushed you to just have a good time; and sure, you hated to make Kayla’s job harder but it wasn’t like she was against you having a good time either.
You took a long, hot shower before you gave Kayla a ring, thankful it was Saturday and you had nowhere to be.
“Sooo this is cute, this is fun,” Kayla said and you could hear the smile in her voice.
“I’m glad you think so,” you laughed, “I was kind of freaking out and I thought you’d be pissed.”
“Hey, my only job is to get you where you wanna go and if Jason's where you want to go, you have my full support. So what do you think? Let me help you plan?”
“Honestly, I feel bad I made him go viral, but he’s liking every tweet, he can’t be THAT upset…maybe? I don’t know, it's hard to know what he’s thinking when he doesn’t tweet at all.”
“Okay so use that to your advantage.”
“How?”
“He’s trending, he’s clearly looking at the tweets, and everyone’s waiting for his next move but he can’t make it because he doesn’t tweet…so you make the move. Tweet and ask him out. See if he likes it.”
“And you’re okay with this?”
“I’m not your enemy, Y/N! I want you to be happy and that’s it. You get to decide what that looks like…and I’m here to clean up your mess.”
You laughed, “I’m sorry Kayla, I know you’re not the enemy. I appreciate you. I’ll talk to you later.”
When you hung up you couldn’t believe Andie and Kayla weren’t telling you that you were insane; accidentally sending a legion of your fans to tweet at Jason Sudeikis because you couldn’t connect to feelings of romance unless you were looking at his pictures or watching his movies and shows seemed certifiable to you.
You took out your phone, looking at his name in your notifications, in your followers list. It gave you a thrill that at least he knew you existed. You audibly giggled as you tweeted.
Tumblr media
You didn’t actually expect him to respond, didn’t really believe that he would tweet for the first time to respond to some singer he didn’t know asking him out on a date. But you thought he’d like it and people would hoot and holler again, and then it would all fizzle out. Maybe you’d get asked about him in an interview or he’d get asked about you and you’d circle each other for years until finally the two of you were at an event together and you’d snap a photo and all's well that ends well.
Except he didn’t like the tweet.
You worked on rewriting a couple of songs, toyed around on the piano with some new stuff, tried to read a romance novel on your Kindle to get you in the second-album-spirit and he still hadn’t liked the tweet.
Andie tried to settle you down over text but you couldn’t help but think you’d ruined it.
Andie: Do you know he’s online?
You quickly switched to Twitter and looked at his likes and he was still liking tweets about you, tweeted after you’d tried to ask him out. Somehow in all the hubbub of should you tweet him, should you not, you never considered how it would feel to get publicly rejected—you certainly weren’t in the mood to sing love songs now.
Y/N: He’s still liking tweets! Ugh, why did I do this again?
Andie: It’s fun to have a crush! Maybe he tried to message you, do you follow him?
Of course you followed Jason. Why wouldn’t you, especially since he now followed you. But now that you think about it… You quickly swiped through to look, might as well, and…you didn’t follow him. You felt like an idiot as you checked the message requests folder you never looked at and saw a message from Jason in your DMs.
Jason: You’re in LA right? I’ll be there next week, so maybe next Saturday instead of this Thursday 🙂
Jason: Also hi, nice to meet you. I’m Jason.
You didn’t know what to do or how to respond and you wished Andie was here to tell you what to do. She certainly wasn’t texting back quickly enough for your liking. You’d already left him on read for an hour, you had to say something.
Y/N: Oh my god, I am so sorry for all this.
Y/N: But not that sorry 🙂 I would love to hang out next Saturday
Y/N: Also hi, I’m Y/N
Jason: Oh, I know. Big fan. Like, you-were-on-my-Spotify Wrapped kinda big fan ;)
Jason: Also, do you want to maybe tweet something so I can stop getting roasted for not shooting my shot? No pressure
Y/N: LOL good call, happy to
BIG FAN. He had to just be humoring you, there was no way…but those were some very specific details to include. You were giddy with the excitement of actually getting to meet him, that he actually wanted to meet you. Despite trying to manage your own expectations, it felt like a date. You texted Andie the rundown but you knew she wouldn’t be able to respond from the plane.
You almost forgot you told Jason you’d tweet something. You purposely left the date out, and you didn’t suggest a location because there was no way the two of you could hang out without drawing a crowd on a good day, let alone if you tweeted it like a meet and greet. You couldn’t wipe the grin off your face as you typed it out and hit send.
Tumblr media
Jason liked it.
Saturday couldn’t come fast enough.

Things I want to see in Only Friends but one episode is by far not enough for any of that.
SandRay: I want to see Ray in rehab, I want to see how he struggles, how he relapses because so far it all looks like he's just fine going and nothing bad will happen. I want Sand to be by his side through his struggles and I wanna SEE it. Not just hear it or get a time skip being like...oh yeah, Ray went through his rehab and now is living happily ever after with Sand in his mansion and they're flying around the globe to see all the musicians. Okay bye that's it for Only Friends. Thank you for sticking with us through 12 painful, short episodes. No. I wanna SEE all of that. There either has to be a Season 2 or a SandRay spin-off, I don't care. I want it. Give it to me. All their scenes give me life and I know I’m extremely biased towards them but I can’t help it. They’re just so cute and as a Sand stan I just want him to be happy and appreciated and if Ray is that person than I’m 100% here for it. Given Ray had many eye-openers as well he will be that person. They’re good for each other and I am happy if they get that happy ending.
Sand and his dad: I want Sand to talk to his dad because I am 100% pretty damn sure he had the intention to say something after they talked for that short time in that episode before Ray interrupted for that heartwrenching short scene of them hugging. I wanna see more of his dad in general because they've been building up to this because why talk so much about him and show several scenes of Sand being at that club to see him perform when nothing comes of it. I wanna know who his dad is, I wanna know why the parents aren't together anymore. I wanna know more background on all of Sand's upbringing. Which brings me to his mum...I just want more of her. Period. I love her. That scene with her and Ray was everything. She's such a stable figure in Sand's life, guiding him while he supports her and now she's even guiding Ray because she's a mum and she knows her son and she knows about them and knows they're good for each other. I like supportive parental figures.
BostonNick: Same as with SandRay I wanna see the developement of their relationship. Nick didn't actually say yes officially to Boston's proposal of them being boyfriends until he leaves for NY. Nick also giving Boston a reality check with what he said to Atom about “don’t get attached to assholes”. He was literally calling Boston out at the same time which given Boston’s reaction, he knew it as well. Boston had a lot of eye-opening moments in the past 2 episodes so I hope they can make it work somehow. Whether Nick says yes or no, we’ll see. However, if he does I want them to like get attached and I want to see them develop the relationship. I want Boston to go to NY and them missing each other and Nick to be thinking about following Boston. I know, cliché, but I could totally see that. But I don't want him to just drop everything and follow Boston blindly. I want them to communicate and for Nick to say that he will finish his internship or whatever he does, to think about himself as well, and then maybe follow Boston later to pursue a career in NY because he'd be doing well in the US with animation. New York, the city of unlimited opportunities, he could do it. But I want them to have that long distance relationship first, to struggle, to communicate, to make it natural and not just bam here we go, two years later, Nick and Boston are happy living in NY together in a fancy flat. Again, BostonNick spin-off or Season 2. Thank you very much. I realised that BostonNick and SandRay are literally the same. Nick and Sand both being pushed around and dropped and used and all that and Boston and Ray both realising at the same time what they have of their other, how there's literally only one person who cares about them and none of them are from the friends group but I'm not gonna go there because that friends group is non-existent in my eyes. Except of Nick and Sand there was no actual friendship going on there that was even remotely healthy or supportive. Which brings me to:
Nick & Sand: I wanted more of this friendship. I wanted to see more how they live together after everything that happened. Mental breakdowns from their boyfriends/FWB relationships, them hanging out, talking, supporting each other. I just wanted more of this because again, healthiest friendship. They are roommates after all but we never actually SEEN them living together except of that one scene where Sand apologised for giving that audio to Ray. That was the only roommate scene we got in all of this and I felt like they would have been good for bonding over mutual shite they went through. I just wanted more of this friendship. They have like the most limited scenes together for the fact that they are both main characters. If Nick was just a random roommate it would have been different but he wasn't just random. They were both outsiders having been brought in into this mess from the outside. TopMew: Now, this is my problem couple. I don't dislike them. I'm actually a Top lover. I have never disliked him. I disliked some of his actions obviously but I never hated him like 99% of the people did. However, I'm happy Top gets a second chance. Deserved or not that's to debate because some people don't think so others do (like me) but that aside, I actually liked Top calling out Mew for the behaviour. Mew seemed to be unforgiving, which he also mentioned, but he's here giving Top a second chance, saying he's still in love with him but his facial expressions don't show it the same while Top is there struggling with his emotions and crying over the mistakes he has made. I want to see them working through those issues. Again, I just wanna see the development after everything that has happened. How they maybe go back to the way they used to be or maybe not, who knows. But one episode is not enough for that. Also we get the preview for the finale episode with the fire. Which brings me to:
Top: I feel like out of all the characters we know the least about him. All the other main characters have their dreams and their past and their struggles and we actually get to see and hear it. We don't know Top's dreams for the future. Where he wants to be, what he wants to do. We barely touched on his trauma, his ptsd (I think that's what he has, I forgot). We know his trauma is fire. We had that one flashback, we had the break-up scene where Mew lights the drawing on fire (which bold move, given he knows Top has a trauma with fire) but Top's reaction, I was not sure if it's just the break-up or actual fear because he was very expressive in that scene. However, we never see Top struggle with his PTSD, which his sleep problems, we hear about things but we never really touch on it. I want more of his story, want to know more about his past, his struggles. We also don't hear anything about his drug usage and everything. We had the halloween party and we still don't really know what happened between him and that police officer and him using drugs in general. Other than he's Mew's on and off boyfriend, we have no insight and it's kinda sad because I like him and I wanna know how all this came to be to begin with. Boston: I already talked about him in relation to Nick but I also wanna know more about his past because given how he acts towards his hookups and the fact that Nick would be his first boyfriend, he seems like to either have commitment issues, family problems or anything that made him shy away from falling in love and commitment. The way he both reacted to Nick and Atom in regard of them telling him they love him is like a defence mechanism. I feel like he’s in a similar situation with Yo. I love Boston but he has been stirring up a lot of shit in the first few episodes but he never actually came clean and apologised. He apologised to Nick for being an idiot but he never apologised for the dumb shit he spread around, the fact that he toyed with Nick and his friends and how he realised how everything went to shit AFTER Nick walked away and his friends. He got a slap in the face to make him realise but he never apologised for any of it to anyone.
YoPlug: In all honesty, the healthiest relationship we’ve seen in all of this show but then they just gone and put in some drama here too. Glad they resolved it and gone back. I want more of them. They were very small and a side ship, I get it. There’s not enough time in 12 episodes to develop 500 different relationships but I want more. I wanna SEE more of them. I want to see Yo move in with him, I want at least ONE scene of them outside of Y.O.L.O. I love them. I wish they’d get a spin-off. I wanna know how they got together, I wanna know more about Yo and her issues with past relationships. I just want more of them. Please and thank you. The mum’s: More mum’s please and thank you. Mew’s mums, I wanna know their story, I wanna know what they went through as a same-sex couple in their generation in Thailand. I wanna know how they got to become Mew. I just want more. More of Mew’s mum, more of Sand’s mum. In all honestly I would even love to know more about Ray’s mum, even tho that would just be dramatic and sad. I feel like Ray’s dad needs more screentime. He tries. I can see that. I don’t think he doesn’t care about Ray. He obviously does given he asked Sand for help because he knew he fucked up his relationship with Ray and Ray would not listen to him so he went behind his back to bribe Sand with money. It’s not necessarily a healthy move to bribe people with money who he knows need money and probably have the big chance to say yes and give in. We know how easy Sand was with giving in with Ray as well. As a broke human being, I get it. 100%. However, that doesn’t mean Ray’s dad doesn’t care. As I remember, Ray’s mum probably did what she did because her husband had no time for that relationship either. He didn’t become a workaholic after her death but we have to know that it had an immense impact on him as well. Psychologically. But he knew Ray was going the same route and he didn’t want to make the same mistake again but because shit has already gone too far in their father/son relationship he had to go with a different approach and that was Sand. The ONLY person who actually showed interest and care in Ray and his dad saw that and took it as an opportunity. I can’t honestly blame him. I don’t know if his and Ray’s relationship can be fixed but I’d love to see it as well. But again, we have ONE more episode. None of what I wrote here will happen in that ONE episode. Who am I forgetting. Oh of course. The MAIN thing I wanna know more about.
Sand/Top/Boeing: We know since episode 1 that Top apparently has stolen Sand’s Ex. Enter Boeing. Who also came out of nowhere so those characters never have good intentions. However, I wanna know HOW this all came to be. I am not sure if Boeing truly feels bad about dropping Sand. If he truly still have some sort of feelings for him and feels bad for what he did. Like Top. However, I am also not sure if it’s all a game as well. I can’t read him. He seems fishy. I don’t know if his intentions with Sand are truthful or if he’s just here to mess around. Kinda like Boston 2.0 from the first few episodes stirring up drama in all the ships. I DO however wanna know about their past and how Sand got to be with Boeing and how Boeing cheated on him with Top. Is Top really the bad guy here or was Boeing doing something to make it seem like Top was the bad guy. Was it truthful or not. We know nothing. We know he existed as a no-name for all those episodes but then he suddenly appears and we don’t know his intentions. In all honestly, dude should just go be the flight attendant he wants to be (which I still find hilarious given his name). I mean, dude is objectively hot. I wouldn’t mind being on an 11 hour flight with Thai Airlines and having someone like him bringing me my food. He’s an ass but he’s still eye candy haha. Sand better set him straight. At first I was like, WTF is Ray doing inviting him home but I think I get it. Honestly tho, I would love to see an even ground between Sand and Top given they have the same “enemy”. Given that TopMew seem to work it out and SandRay are working it out and RayMew seem to gone back to regular friends, they will still see of the other in some way or another. Which, oh, there is also another unsolved issue. Not issue since they DID talk but we literally got nothing around it:
RayMew: So apparently that happened, apparently it ended. They talked. They’re friends. We know Mew got with Ray because of his revenge plot. That whole Halloween party happened but nothing that happened at this party has been resolved in any way. Mew started smoking, taking drugs. It happened in the same breath as it ended. Atom: I’m gonna be completely honest, that scene with him and his sister was the biggest WTF scene of all of this show. Like, I understand it’s her brother and family is different. However, if MY sister pulled this shit I would have slapped her. Not in a “I hate you I will never see you again” way but in a “what the fuck were you thinking!!” way and I would have yelled at her for saying such bad stuff about someone else when it was a complete lie. We know Boston has been playing around and all but that was a horrible assumption to make and it could have gone a lot worse than it did. I would have made him go and apologise to Boston. However, now that BostonNick have set him straight, I would like to see him go out in the world and find himself with his eyes open to his new-found sexuality and get a good guy for him. Nobody from the friends group, nobody we know. Just himself and someone else in a healthy way. I would like to say the same about Dan. I know he likes Nick and I would be lying if I didn’t say they would be cute. However, we know Nick has different priorities so I guess Dan is gonna take the short stick. However, I like him and I hope Nick still gets the chance to be working with him and not drop him because of personal issues. Nick deserves the opportunity but at the same time I understand how not easy it would be to work with someone you like but doesn’t like you back like that. Tho Nick did seem to have some sort of feelings towards him. Let Dan have a happy ending to, with anyone. I think that’s it. I don’t know. I probably forgot a lot of things. So long story short! We need a Season 2!!!

David Rossi x OFC Slightly NC-17 Warnings: Heavy kissing, light touching, no actual smut Summary: Bella is new to the FBI and literally runs into David Rossi who she happens to have a massive crush on. He takes her out to dinner and they wind up on his couch.
Word Count: 946
“I mean who would ever want to be with me? Especially someone like David Rossi? I doubt he even knows I exist.” Bella tried explaining to Penelope. She was fresh out of the academy chasing her fathers coattails while trying to pave her own way and David Rossi was well…David Rossi. Bella was just a paper pusher with hopes and dreams of joining the BAU. Thankfully she was weird like Penelope so she quickly became her new best friend. Bella sighed deeply and left her office to get back to work. When she got back to her desk she groaned. Her paperwork pile had doubled during her lunch break. She quickly shuffled through them and knew she needed to make photocopies. Gathering them up she made her way to the file room only to find the copier broken. ‘Use BAU copier.’ The sign said. She frowned but made her way to the next floor up.
Bella had her hands full and turned a corner cursing as she collided with someone. Paperwork scattered across the floor and she landed on her ass. “You okay kitten?” Oh shit. She knew that voice. She looked up to see David Rossi looking down at her. “I’m so sorry Mr. Rossi. I wasn’t paying attention and I just am not as graceful as I used to be.” She was rambling as she got on her hands and knees to pick up the scattered papers. “No it’s okay it was entirely my fault.” David said, helping her pick up papers. Once she was done she looked up at him while still on her knees, batting her eyelashes. He bit his lip and cleared his throat causing her to blush. “Need a hand kitten?” He asked, holding out a hand helping her up. “It’s Bella. I mean I don’t mind if you call me kitten. But my name is Bella.” She said tucking back a red curl. “I know who you are. Arabella Montgomery. Fresh out of the academy. You help put together our finished files after cases.” He said, causing her to blush. David Rossi actually knew who she was. “I worked with your dad a few times. I was sorry to hear about his accident.” He said, still holding her hand after helping her up. She deflated a little when he brought up her dad. “Would you like to join me for dinner tonight? Fizolies. 8pm.” He asked and she nodded. “See you later kitten.” He said with a smirk and a wink and she quickly ran to tell Penelope what happened.
Bella sighed as she picked at her little black dress and nervously looked at her phone. 825. She frowned and sipped at her wine. She would give it a couple more minutes before accepting the fact she got stood up. Who was she kidding? No one liked her. Especially someone as special as David Rossi. She was about to get the check when the chair across from her pulled out and a handsome man in a suit sat down. “Sorry kitten. Got a case file dropped off right as I was leaving and had to get the team. Looks like we are going to New York tomorrow.” He said ordering himself some wine. “Oh. I’m originally from New York.” She said, sipping at her glass. “What brought you out here?” He asked, sitting back. “Well I had been a ballerina since I took my first steps. I was a ballerina with the American Ballet Company then one performance of Romeo and Juliet…I was Juliet…I blew out my knee. I can no longer dance so I decided to take after my dad.” She explained with a bit of a frown. “Your dad would be proud of the Agent you are becoming.” David said with a reassuring smile. “Just wish he would have lived long enough to see me graduate. Now I’m just a paper pusher.” She said with a bit of a frown as she shrugged her shoulders.
Bella and David both drank a substantial amount of wine. “I’m only 5 minutes away from here.” He had his hands wrapped around her waist and was brushing his lips against the curve of her neck. “Wanna come over?” He asked and she quickly nodded. David flagged down a taxi and once inside his hands were all over her. But she definitely didn’t mind. Once they arrived at his house she giggled as his beard kept tickling the sensitive skin of her neck. He paused from kissing her just long enough to unlock the door and push her inside. Once inside he quickly shed his jacket and pushed her onto the couch. He pulled off his tie and climbed on top of her biting and kissing along her neck and collar bone. She moaned, tilting her head back to give him more access to her pale skin. He left lots of marks she was going to have to explain the following day but she didn't care. She pushed her hips up against his moaning as she felt the bulge in his slacks. “Tell me how far you wanna go.” He whispered breathlessly into her ear. “All the way.” She moaned back as they both quickly started to undress each other.  His hands dipped down and lightly started to trace up her thigh and he swallowed the sounds she was making. "Easy kitten." He said with a grin before dipping down to place kisses between her cleavage. He was devouring the little sounds that she was making as his fingers pushed the fabric of her dress up her legs till it bunched up around her waist. He couldn’t ask for a better night.

What musicals (current or past) would you like to see? And cast albums that are on your list to listen to?
ANON, I LOVE THIS QUESTION SO MUCH! THANK YOU!
so, the ones i really want to see at the moment (i'm not sure if you mean live or just bootlegs, but let's say both) &/or listen to (this is gonna be super chaotic i apologize in advance):
hadestown with jordan & lola, please... i love hadestown, i love eva & reeve but JORDAN & LOLA! 😭 they are something else, ok?
i am literally dying to see waitress live & i know it's possible in poland, so maybe this year?
hamilton, but for that i have to visit my sister in the uk
tick tick boom, because i only saw the movie, i wanna see the play as well
new york, new york because i was obsessively listening to the cast album last year so it's time to finally watch it
preludes, but i don't think this will ever happen, there are literally no recordings of that one & i am obsessed with the album... (let me just say dave malloy is criminally underrated)
anastasia is actually first on my list cause i haven't seen/listened to it yet
you guys are gonna hate me for this, but i haven't seen/listened to wicked yet... i always thought that maybe it's not exactly my thing but i also feel like i need to give it a try, cause it's a classic that everybody loves
i wanna see the great comet live please that would cure my broken soul (or just give me the bootleg with phillipa soo lol i don't think it exists)
i also need to listen to the rest of dave malloy's musicals, cause i only listened to those you can find on spotify (so ghost quartet, the great comet, preludes & octet - would love to see all of them live, especially ghost quartet, that would be an experience) - clown bible is first on my list
once - i've never seen the movie or the play but i absolutely love the song falling slowly from it so i guess i would love the musical as well
camelot with phillipa soo, because she's my wife & i would die for her
but also into the woods with phillipa soo because i couldn't find it anywhere & i don't even know if it was ever recorded
from the new ones i'd really love to see the notebook cause i've heard a lot of good things about it & i also love the movie so i bet the musical must be really good
also, the great gatsby with eva noblezada... my second wife. i really, really need to see this one
...those are just off the top of my head, but i am always open for suggestions, if you think i should watch/listen to something cause i may like it, just let me know!
