#Kise always interrupting LOL

Hi! Idk if your request is opened or not but if it is, I'd like to request a headcanon for Knb if that's alright?
My request is : How would GOM + Kagami react when their s/o walk in on them taking a shower naked and just casually invite themselves taking a shower with the boys?
❦ SHOWER TIME
cw: this is fluff, but language and nudity [ALL CHARACTERS ARE AGED UP]
Tumblr media
—kuroko
in a strange turn of events, you end up startling your boyfriend. the bathroom door is slightly open, the sound of running water and slight humming floats through the apartment. you decide that you should probably get clean too as you step into the steamy room. tetsuya doesn’t hear you undressing, or stepping into the shower. it’s only when your cold hands wrap around his waist that he shrieks and spins around—nearly slipping—eyes wide and startled for a split second until he realizes it’s you. then his expression falls into his signature calm smile.
“hi, sweetheart.”
Tumblr media
—kagami
you go in the bathroom to pee, and as soon as you make a noise, taiga peers around the curtain with a judgemental look.
“what are you doing?” he asks, shampoo comically in his hair.
you blink. “using the bathroom.”
he sends you a stink eye before closing the curtains and going back to what he was doing. you know he likes his alone time in the shower, but the apartment only had one bathroom, and you like to annoy him (with love). so when you strip down and attempt to join him in the shower you need to wrestle the curtain away from him because he’s using it to cover himself lol.
Tumblr media
—murasakibara
he likes when you sit in the bathroom while he showers. you can tell him about your day and he can poke his head out for you to feed him a little snack. it’s not often that you shower with him because the logistics of the shower head and the height difference was always a hassle. until you renovated your shower to a ceiling head, now when he’s finished his himemaru, you can just join him under the water and he can pull you close and prevent you from moving cause “you’re so cute and cuddly, y/n-chin.”
and you stay like that until your body feels like two different temperatures.
Tumblr media
—aomine
you enter the bathroom.
“fuck, daiki, it stinks in here.”
“i had to shit, you’re the one that interrupted my shower.”
despite that, you strip down and pull the curtain dramatically to announce that you intend to join him. and this motherfucker is under the water, head tilted back to rinse out his shampoo, eyes looking down at you with a smirk as he says, “just can’t get enough of me, huh?”
so turn the water to cold so he shrieks :)
bonus fem!reader: soapy tits are his weakness. if you ever want anything from him, hop in the shower and ask lol his eyes don’t leave your chest but he’s nodding along to whatever you’re saying. you could ask for a yacht and he’d agree
Tumblr media
—kise
doesn’t want to shower without you tbh. he’s usually inviting you to join him, but not in a sexual way. he’s one of those people who blasts music while in the bathroom and likes to perform concerts, so he needs his back up singer. he’ll shampoo his hair into spikes and start screaming punk, it’s your responsibility to play air guitar and ad lib. on the rare occasions that he’s showering by himself and you decide to join him halfway through, his smile is wide, and his introduction goes, “ladies and gentlemen, my backup guitarists!”
Tumblr media
—akashi
literally love him. if you open the bathroom door while he’s showering he assumes something is wrong.
“darling? are you alright?” his soft voice just makes you melt, but you assure him that you just want to join him. and he is delighted! in fact, he proposes a bath after you two wash up. he loves having you between his legs, back against his chest while you’re surrounded by bubbles. he’s one of those people that loves non sexual intimacy, so if you turn around and give him a bubble beard, he’ll just watch you with hearts in his eyes.
Tumblr media
—midorima
locks the door so you can’t get in. if you’re persistent—knocking, calling his name, etc.—he’ll step out of the shower, towel around his waist, and open the door with an annoyed scowl. you just smile sweetly and hop under the running water. he’s muttering under his breathe at how much of a handful you are, but he’s washing your body carefully and making sure soap doesn’t get in your eyes <3

Yaknow, it’s crazy!! Back when you were originally first active, I had turned on notifications for your blog because I loved your content so so much! I forgot all about it until you became active again! I’m happy to see you back !!♡
I’d you don’t mind~ can I request GoM+Kasamatsu reacting to their childhood crush/friend confessing their feelings for them?!
Maybe a little bland and simple, but I love to think of some characters who’ve really been pining on their crush being over the moon with joy over this kind of thing^///^” > maybe also a little big of how they would act around their crush before the confession!
-koi
You still have notifications on for us? I'm so grateful Koi-Anon! It honestly makes me so happy that so many of our previous followers stayed despite us not knowing until now if we'd be back. I've honestly felt so giddy and have been gushing about the blog to my significant other since I came back (my relationship with my current partner started after I left the blog, so they have no idea how deep this obsession runs lol) Also this ask is far from bland, I think it's adorably fluffy! Kuroko
when Kuroko has a crush on someone, it's not so obvious at first; in fact, the only clue that he has feelings stronger for you than simple friendship are the little actions he does for you that he doesn't do for anyone else
they're small actions that could simply be mistaken for him considering you a close friend – letting you borrow his jacket when you were cold, purchasing your favorite snacks from the convenience store as a surprise
the day you confess to him, it's more than obvious that you're nervous – how could you not be, because the way he treated you, you thought he only saw you as a friend
Kuroko knew he was staring, knew that it was making your already fried nerves work in overdrive, but he couldn't tear his eyes away from your form. He was surprised, somehow not expecting you to reciprocate his feelings — even more surprised that you had confessed them first. But above all else, he was delighted.
"____-san," he called your name, interrupting your nervous, rambling confession. "I feel the same way."
Kise
in contrast to his light-blue haired friend, when Kise has a crush on someone, it is very obvious; he's clingy and flirty and always wanting to be the subject of your attention
to be frank, Kise would probably want to ask you out long before you came to the conclusion that you reciprocated his feelings – at least, he would have if he didn't think it would jeopardize your already great friendship with him
your confession to him comes randomly in the form of a question – "why aren't we dating?" – and it catches him completely off guard; you'd never heard Kise so quiet before
"Wait, wait, wait," Kise repeated himself, holding a hand up like he could pause your train of thought. "Are you saying you like me, too?"
When what he received in return from you was an affirmative answer, Kise feels overjoyed. His arms are instantly wrapped around you in the next moment, pulling you close. He had to resist the urge to kiss your cheek — didn't want to move too quickly — and you practically have to tear him off you at the end of the night because of how much he's clinging now.
Kasamatsu
you were his good friend and he was comfortable around you... until the day he wasn't; the day Kasamatsu realizes he has stronger feelings for you is the day you think he wants to end the friendship for good
he's suddenly embarrassed every time you catch his eye, he starts avoiding you more often, and he can't seem to talk to you without sounding angry – he's not angry at you though, he's angry at himself for his sudden 180 in how he treated you; why did it feel different now that he liked you like that?
you corner him one day, angry that he'd been ignoring you, and when you grilled him about his recent behavior he actually blurts out that he'd been doing it because of his growing feelings for you; your response wasn't what he was expecting – "is that it? I like you, too, dumbass."
For a moment, Kasamatsu seemed to be floundering in front of you, mouth agape as a red hue flooded his face. His pulse had been quick when you cornered him, then it felt like it had stopped the moment of your confession. Now? Now it felt like it was working double time — this couldn't be good for his heart.
With a cough behind a closed fist, Kasamatsu glanced off to the side before speaking. "Well, that's... good. That's good." He doesn't know what else to say however — now he was even more confused on how he should move forward with treating you.
Aomine
he's almost in denial with himself when he realizes he has feelings for you; the two of you had been friends for so long, practically since you were babies, so he didn't know when he stopped seeing you as a friend and started seeing you as more
he actually starts treating you just a little meaner, making snarky comments and trash talking the things you enjoy, but you're used to his shitty attitude and take it in stride – it actually ends up making him like you more
the day you confess to him actually has him confused, because how could you like someone who treated you so rudely, but he can't deny that it also makes his stomach fill with butterflies
"You must be some kind of masochist then," he commented, trying to hide the erratic thumping of his heart behind a sly smirk. "Don't think I'll be treating you any differently now that we're dating."
But the way you were looking at him, all smiles and teasing looks as you said you wouldn't have it any other way, made you seem so much more alluring to Aomine. As he stepped forward, one hand reached out to tilt your chin up so he could press his lips against yours better, a thought crosses his mind — maybe he would be treating you a little bit differently.
Midorima
it's hard to tell when Midorima has a crush on someone; he doesn't treat them that differently from before he liked them because he tends to treat all of his good friends with respect except Takao
he's actually already planning on confessing to you, but he's waiting for the perfect day; his luck has to be perfect, your luck has to be perfect, everything about that day has to be absolutely perfect
so when you confess to him on one of the most unluckiest days he's had that year, he almost feels mocked – almost, if it weren't for the fact your confession had him elated
"You really couldn't have picked any other day," he mused, a small smirk on his features telling you that he really didn't mean the words he said.
Normally, Midorima would be adamant that Oha Asa was never wrong — an unlucky day was supposed to be just that: unlucky. But after your confession, he was starting to think that maybe even his unluckiest of days could have a brighter side to them. He thanked the heavens he was able to afford double of his lucky item that day.
Murasakibara
he gets a little clingy to the object of his affection when he has a crush; he always wants to be around you and wants to be the only person to snag your attention
he tends to get a little whiney when you give other people attention, even if it's just your or his friends, but he's been that way every since you were kids so you're used to that behavior – maybe he's liked you since then?
the day you confess, he takes it so well, it's almost as if he already knew you would be doing it; maybe he already expected this to be the outcome of all his time spent with you
He was already hugging your smaller frame against his when you confessed, so after the words left your lips, Murasakibara's arms only tightened around you. He was pressing his nose against the side of your neck, hiding his expression, but you could feel that lazy grin of his against your skin.
"It's about time, ____-chin," he teased, voice muffled against you. "I was wondering when you'd say something."
Akashi
when Akashi has a crush on someone, he already starts treating them like a potential future spouse; he's a very straight forward person, so he doesn't want to date you just for fun because he's looking for his forever
he treats you better than any other friend he has, constantly making sure you're okay and healthy, keeping you stress free to the best of his abilities, and wanting to help you better yourself – honestly, it's only a little bit more than how he treated you as a best friend
he honestly confesses to you first, but you don't tell him right away that you reciprocate his feelings because you feel like you're not good enough for him – he only seems to catch on to the fact that you do like him back, however
Akashi seemed almost too calm, like he had expected what you were saying. As you finished your confession, tacking on your doubts on your worth to him, he steps forward and places a gentle palm against your cheek. The smile already on his face only softened when you leaned into his touch.
"None of that matters, ____," he reassured. "I like you. And, if I'm not mistaken, you like me too. That. That's all that matters to me."

You’re short... But Cute
Anime: Kuroko no Basuke Pairing: Kasamatsu Yukio x reader Rating: K+ A/N: AHH. So here’s another chapter to my Kasaxreader story! And it’s more fluff!!! Honestly, I’m still trying to figure out how to write the meeting between the team and Reader.. So I decided to write something that was SUPPOSED to be short... It turned out a bit longer than anticipated.. (I blame Kise) . I hope you like it! _____________________________________
"Why can't he be more prepared?" you mumble, scouring the Kaijou library... It's... much bigger than the one at Seirin, to be expected from a prestigious private high school... Doesn't mean it's not intimidating.. You decided to help Kise study for exams, because you miss seeing your brother, but the other reason was he couldn't play in the Winter Cup if he failed...
"______-cchi!! You have to help me!!! Kasamatsu-senpai will kill me if I fail another test!!!"
A sigh left your lips, and you go down the aisle, golden hues seeking out the English-Japanese dictionary... Because of course the class your brother was failing at, happened to be English... One of your top classes...
"He should really pay attention to his teacher more... it seems Ryouta and Taiga share that same characteristic..." you giggle, before frowning. Upon seeing the book you needed, you began to decide how to go about this... You could always ask a random student for help... But you're an outsider, and with your hair, it would draw a lot of unwanted attention towards you... So instead you decided to try and climb the shelves..
In your haste to solve your problem, you fail to realize your boyfriend walking past the aisle, concern and slight anger on his face..
Kasamatsu didn't know what to think when he saw you climbing the shelves... It would've made more sense for you to ask for help... As opposed to trying to climb the very tall shelf.. But the determination on your face elicits a blush on his face, mostly because he's still trying to wrap his head around the fact you're dating him... But, his protectiveness kicks in, and he finds himself walking to you quickly, carefully grabbing your sides and places you on his shoulders..
The sudden movement causes you to gasp, and when you see Kasamatsu beneath you, the blush on your cheeks darkens heavily... It makes you stammer, so you quickly grab the book and carefully swing down him, hiding your face in the cover...
"Y...Yukio-senpai! W...Where'd you-"
"What were you thinking, _____-chan??" he hisses, casting you a disappointing frown, "Y...You could've hurt yourself!"
His eyes see a couple girls at the end of the aisle, and he quickly grabs your arm, gently tugging you towards the back, ignoring your small struggles. He makes sure no one is near, before he gently presses you against the wall, pinning you between his body and wood.. His blue hues darken, but there's no malice or anger... Rather, it's concern and worry evident in his eyes...
It makes you feel guilty, and you look at the ground, unable to hold his gaze... Fidgeting with the book in your hands, you bite your bottom lip, trying not to stammer as you murmur,
"I... I was thinking I could reach it myself..." a pause, "I... I didn't want to approach someone I didn't know..."
He tilts his head, eyebrow raising at your words... But it dawns on him... "You're worried about drawing attention to yourself because of Kise, right?"
"W...We're already studying together! I don't know why he asked me to help him here... Considering I don't even go here..." you whisper, holding the book to your chest. "I don't fit in... And I just wanted to study in peace."
He takes a quick glance around, making sure no other student has interrupted them before tugging you into his chest. He ignores your gasp, cheeks burning from the blush as he stares at the wood.
"It's okay ____-chan..." he looks down at you, smiling softly, "Follow me."
You blink, but don't say anything as Kasamatsu drags you to a corner of the library, where a few tables are occupied.. But mostly by students who are studying alone. He keeps his gaze straight, but you can tell by his trembling hands he's nervous... It makes you smile a little, almost stumbling when he stops at a lone table.
"Here..." he whispers, gently patting the table. "This is my favourite place to study... Everyone's quiet, focuses on their own studies and you can teach idiot Kise without worrying about his fangirls bothering you.."
You can't form words, finding yourself walking to the window... You could see the track and others running... But it brought... A form of peace.. You smile, gently tugging his hand as you kiss his cheek. Ignoring the heat on both your cheeks, you manage to smile at him, eyes bright in happiness...
"Thank you, Yukio-senpai... For helping me..."
It takes him a bit to respond, but he finds his lips curling into a tiny smirk, as he brings you to his lips, whispering in your ear,
"I..I'm the only one allowed to see up your skirt."
The reaction is immediate, and he finds himself laughing, despite the blush and the expression on your face.. But before he could draw unwanted attention to you, he leans forward to kiss your mouth. His grin grows when your arms wrap around his neck, and he holds you against the table, slowly moving to rub your stomach when...
"K...Kasamatsu-senpai?! W...What are you and ____-cchi doing??"
Kise's voice cuts in, and in your embarrassment, you forgot where you were... And luckily for you, no one else was around.. But....
"KISE!!!!"
In a few moments, you were sure everyone would be swarming your table, and no studying would be accomplished.. But you find yourself smiling and giggling in embarrassment, seeing your brother and boyfriend in a small squabble, until Kise was dragged outside to run laps for interrupting... And you sat in the library, watching them from above as they raced around the track.

I'm the one I should love in this world
Shining me, precious soul of mine
“This already feels like old times; doesn’t it, Mai-cchi.” Kise says while stretching out before the rest of their old teammates came. The two blondes were overly excited about reuniting with the others that they had showed up an hour before the decided time. Meanwhile, Kise thought it would be a good time to persuade her to come to Kaijo. Showing off how much he’s improved in every way including his team work.
“We haven’t even started yet.”
“Yeah but you used to train me all the time one on one before. We spent a lot of time together.” It was where Kise started to have genuine feelings for the girl. Before his interest was just piqued because of her own lack of interest in him, but then when he was put onto the team and spent more time with her there were little moments that made him fall for her. To him those training sessions were fond memories that he found himself still to this day looking back on.
Maimi never thought much about it but Kise was one of the only ones from the team that didn’t abandon her, or make her feel useless. She felt that she didn’t hold a place on the team any longer when the others didn’t come to her for advice like before. Midorima unknowingly did the same thing due to his accuracy increasing almost overnight. Aomine had already broken up with her by then and she would have preferred to stay far away from Akashi during that time with the way he obsessed over her. Kise was the only one that she continued to have a healthy relationship with and those moments with him became the light in her darkest times. She always saw him as the popular model that everyone swooned over how perfect he was, but when it was just them he transformed into any awkward and goofy middle school boy. She made her feel normal for the hour or two they would spend together training. “Yeah I guess you’re right.” She smiles fondly thinking back to when he first started playing. “I spent the most time with you out of everyone.”
“Well I was just starting! Of course it would be like that.” He pouts but as someone who normally picks up every sport pretty easily he was a bit embarrassed about that fact.
“Yeah and I never minded. In fact I’m glad you were on the team after everything happened. I needed a distraction from everything and you were the only one that could take my mind off it all.” Kise was a bit shocked that she cherished the same moments as himself. While it was for different reasons that small bit of hope made him blush. He looks back at her to see her holding onto the old worn down basketball looking at him with that sweet smile that had his heart racing. It was the same one that she showed him when he first started training with her and dunked his first ball. That smile that made him fall for her slowly and held a tight grip on his heart strings. “Maimi-“ he wanted to finally speak up about his feelings but was sadly interrupted by a familiar pink head. “Ki-chan! Mimi-chan! Good morning!”
The pair turn their heads in the direction Momo’s voice came from to see her walking with Aomine. “Good morning Momo.” Maimi smiles when her best friend runs up to hug her. “Momocchi, Aominecchi.”
“You guys are way too early.” Aomine’s normal quips but this time it had more to do with the position they originally were in. He could recognize that look on Kise’s face. There was still a small bit of a blush on his ears that made Aomine scoff in irritation. “But events like these almost never happen.”
“Are we the only ones here?”
“I’m here, too.” Aomine was startled by Kuroko’s sudden appearance but the other three were so used to his actions that they were more excited than anything else to see the birthday boy in person. “Kuokocchi, good morning.”
“Tetsu-kun!” Momo practically tackles the boy holding him close for a tight hug. “I can’t breathe, Momoi-san.”
Maimi giggles at the passive boy. He seemed to only show his emotions on the court. “Good morning Tetsu. Happy Birthday.” Maimi says with a wave which he returns along with a strained smile from being squeezed so tight. “Happy Birthday.” Momo smiles up at her long term crush and reaches for the present she made for him. “Thank you both.”
“This is for you.”
“I’m delighted. Can I open it?”
“Yeah.” Maimi thought their interactions were sweet and innocent. It made her want to pinch Momo’s cheeks seeing how cute she looked while blushing.
When Kuroko opened the pink present he took out a scarf that was Momo’s signature color. “Hey this is that thing you’ve been knitting lately.”
“You made it yourself?”
“It’s cute! It looks like you bought it at a store.”
“Um, if you don’t like the color, you don’t need to use it.”
“I don’t mind it all. I’ll treasure it.” The pure happiness that was on Momo’s face that he would accept her gift made Maimi smile as well. Seeing her friend look so excited at such a simple act made her heart warm. She would have to give her gift to Kuroko later on.
The moment was interrupted by a bicycle bell ringing followed by another voice calling out to them. “Hey, hey, hey. Thanks for waiting.”
“Takao-kun. And…”
“Midorin!”
“Takao, I only told you to buy me my lucky item.”
“Yeah, yeah. You’re not getting it until you get out.” The dried mushrooms were no doubt the lucky item of the day for some odd reason. While the three were confused by it wanting to question their off friend it didn’t seem to make the blonde waver. “Oh come on Shin! Stop being a tsundere, it's Kuroko’s birthday.” She runs up to him to hug him while pulling him out of the cart. “Mimi! I got it! Get off me!” The duo were almost complete opposites but the way they acted you could already tell they were incredibly close like siblings. When Midorima finally got out of the cart he snatched the mushrooms away from Takao who was silently laughing at the pair's interaction, and pushed his glasses up to fix them after the altercation. “Don’t do that Mimi. You could have gotten hurt.”
“I know, I know don’t worry.”
“As promised, I brought him here.”
“Thanks Takao.” Maimi waves at him with a smile that has the boy love struck for a moment. Midorima on the other hand was confused, “Mimi did you…”
“Oh yeah, after you called Takao he called me.” It was an innocent look to show that it was just a simple interaction but Midorima; along with the other two boys that had feelings for the friendly girl, glared at Takao. “Why do you have Mimi’s number?”
Sensing the animosity Takao was already peddling away from the group. “Have fun guys.”
“Well as long as I’m here, I suppose I must participate.”
“You’re a difficult one, aren’t you?”
“Of course he is. He’s a tsundere.”
Deciding to just ignore them, Midorima hands over a small baby chick charm to the birthday boy, “Kuroko.”
“What is this?”
“It’s aquarius’s lucky item for the day. It wouldn’t be any fun if something happened to you on your birthday.”
“Oh right, thank you.”
Maimi giggles and decides to add on, “You know the last person he gave a lucky item to was me on our first day of middle school. You must be pretty special Kuroko.”
“Mimi.” He tries to warn her but he was already embarrassed at being called out.
“He meant to come all along.”
Midorima just pinches Maimi’s cheek but because it was so light as not to hurt her she just laughs. While looking at the two close friends Momo gasps in happiness to see Akashi walking up to their group. “Akashi-kun.” Kuroko greets the captain first who smiles fondly. The familiar look in his eyes made Maimi feel at ease. Besides Midorima she considered Akashi a brother as well. Always looking up to him and asking for advice. He was the only one that was probably able to keep up with her mind at times which made her feel confident enough to speak up back then. “Hey guys. Thanks for waiting.”
“Akashicchi, you came all the way from Kyoto.”
“Yeah. Kuroko happy birthday.”
“Thank you.”
“It’s been a while. Not since middle school, huh?“
“Yeah, you’re right.”
“That’s five of us here.”
“Muraskibara.”
“Muraskibara should be getting here soon.”
“What?”
The trees beside them rustled and a lazy greeting followed after. “Morning guys.”
“Mukkun!”
“Wow, Akashi was right.”
“That’s not very surprising.”
“But Muraskibara, you really didn’t want to come.”
“I just stopped by since I was already in Tokyo.”
“What? You were?”
“I scheduled a practice game between Rakuzan and Yosen. Since we’re located far away from each other, we decided to meet in the middle.”
“Thanks Akashi-kun! Now everyone is here.”
“Shall we get started?”
They all played 3 on 3 like they used to. It was impossible for Maimi to play with how awkward and clumsy she was so the chance of the girls being included in the match seemed slim. But that didn’t stop them all from having fun. In fact it all felt like old times when things were simple. Watching on, the girls were allowed to reminisce and talk about their future plans. “You’re going to transfer soon?
“Yeah for our second year. I’ve already narrowed it down to Seiren or Kaijo.”
Momo knew that the reason why she wasn’t considering Too was because of Aomine specifically but the thing was he seemed to be getting better now. He wasn’t as irritating or mean. He didn’t have random mood swings anymore. He was beginning to love basketball again. She knew that was the reason why Maimi was so infatuated with him before and some part of her wished that they would be able to work it out in the end. Thinking that with Maimi in the picture the pair could go back to normal. “Mimi-chan, would you ever consider Too?”
“Hm…truthfully I did think about it. Some part of me thought that I could but then I realized that I don’t want that. I’ll always love Aomine. He was the first person I’ve ever loved and who made me feel like I could be a better version of myself. But that’s the thing I tried so hard to be good enough for him, relying my whole self worth on him that I lost a bit of myself when he left me. So, while yes he’s changed for the better he’s still not the person I can see myself with now. Knowing him would just make him feel worse and I don’t see him giving up if I go to Too. It just seems better for both of us to focus and get better so that we go our own ways.”
Momo was never sure on how she felt since they’ve all moved on. The last time she saw her it seemed like she had matured more than expected. She held herself high like she was a dignified lady. She only looked forward with maybe a glance here and there but she didn’t seem to feel the need to look back in her past. It was more like she went to get the closure she needed. Now with all their issues being resolved her first step needed to be forward. She felt for Aomine as her best friend since childhood but she wanted what was best for Maimi as well. So with a small smile and nod they continued on to another topic. With how everything seemed to be going back to normal she couldn’t help but hope that another part would be fixable.
Seeing them all playing together brought back memories of when they all used to hang out together as a group. Everyone seemed to be getting along again which made Momo start getting teary eyed. “It’s your turn Momo.”
“Me?”
“Of course everyone is waiting.” She looks up to see the boys all sweating from their other matches but smiling at the opportunity to play with one of their former managers. Momo looked over at Maimi who smiled warmly at her. “What about you Mimi?”
“Eh, no way I would just end up hurting myself again and ruining the whole day. You go.” Momo thinks back to the day she tried to play with the boys and realized that it was probably best. “Join us, Momo-san.”
“Momocchi, hurry up.”
“I won’t hold back just because you’re my manager.”
“You can at least go a little easy on me.” Running over to the rest of the others the two left behind smiled fondly at the sweet girl. “Alright!”
“I’m looking forward to the next inter high.” Akashi says.
“So am I. This time I think I’ll be able to be on the court with everyone again.” This catches his attention and makes him finally look at the girl next to him who continues to watch on as the others play. “You’ve decided on the school?”
“Yeah I think so.” He noticed that her eyes were trained on a certain blonde and the way that she looked at him was almost similar to the way she used to look at another. “Kaijo then it seems.”
“Of course you could tell. Yeah. I think Kaijo is where I’ll fit in best. Kise is there and I just feel that he has a lot to work on. With his injury I am a bit more concerned about him. Kuroko seems at peace where he’s at so I don’t want to squeeze myself into that team.”
“Are you happy now?”
“I am. I’m happy and I’m proud of myself for how far I’ve come.” Akashi knew almost every small quirk she had since middle school. Right now looking at her leaning forward with her elbow on her crossed legs she looked at peace. No longer was the anxious and unconfident girl that used to sit stiff as a board while chewing on her lip. Her eyes glowed with anticipation at watching everyone play. It was a look he hadn’t seen on her face. She looked more sure of herself and it made him realize that it was because she finally found her own happiness without everyone there to pressure her. When he heard that she would be going to an all girls school the other part of him was angry but the real Akashi was scared. That once she walked away she wouldn’t ever turn back. It was why the more selfish side of him trapped her. Keeping her to himself thinking that the problem stemmed from everyone else but him. That if he protected her from the others she would keep looking his way at least. Then somehow in the midst of that she began to change on her own. She no longer needed the cage, instead she opened it herself when she felt ready to and despite his fears she never turned her back on him or the others. In fact she helped bring them back together again. He was worried for nothing and somehow despite believing that he was able to see everything with his emperor eye; he never saw that part of her would never change.
As if noticing his stares she looks back at him curious. “What-“
“I’m sorry.” In all the time she spent with Akashi she found herself lost in words. “I didn’t mean to hurt you this entire time. I didn’t want to use you or anything in that nature that the other side of me said. I wanted to keep you safe when I saw you hurting. I didn’t know what else to do without full control so I’m sorry.”
Maimi knew that the person that trapped her in wasn’t the real Akashi. She never believed he would ever be capable of doing the things he said. Not giving her the freedom she wanted. Somehow though she felt abandoned by Akashi. Believing that if the real him was actually there then maybe things would have been better but she knew that he was the one that set the plan in motion to have Aomine break up with her. He whispered in his ear to tear the two apart when he realized that Aomine was no longer treating her the way he did before. She knew that in that “evil” side of Akashi he was just trying to protect her from Aomine in his own twisted way. She never held that against him; what always hurt her was the fact that she couldn’t rely on the real Akashi any longer.
Maimi teared up a bit hearing the words she always wanted to hear from him before she leaned against him. “I’m sorry, too. I blamed you for leaving me but I guess you never really did.” Akashi smiles down at her while he brings her in for a side hug.
The rest of the day went well and without any problems. The sun was already going down by the time they all gathered back up again. “Isn’t Akashi the only one who didn’t lose?”
“Is that right?”
“You always get the best deal for yourself.”
“It may be just a game, but it’s still irritating.”
“I’m hungry.”
“Shall we call it then?”
“Yes.”
“Wait. Before that, why don’t we take a group picture?” While there was some disagreement with the more grumpy of the bunch, everyone eventually found themselves gathering together in front of the camera Momoi set up.
“Hurry up, Satsuki.”
“Give me a second. Okay.” The beeping from the camera gives her the signal to run back over to join everyone. A loud yawn from Muraskibara irritates Midorima as usual. “Don’t yawn, Muraskibara.”
“I came here first thing in the morning. I can’t help it.”
“Smile everyone.” Momo and Maimi wrap their arms around each other to smile and pose together which inspired Kise to do the same with his favorite person. “Kurokocchi, pose with me.”
“What?”
“Did you get it?” Momo went to check the picture with Maimi looking over her shoulder as well. “Yeah it’s perfect, I think.”
“Yeah it definitely captures the essence of everyone.” Maimi giggles, noticing everyone’s personality somehow coming to life. “Could you send me that picture later?”
“Of course. I’ll get it printed right away.”
“Thank you.”
“Oh me too.” Maimi raises her hand while grabbing her bag. “It’s the greatest present.” Kuroko says while looking at everyone gathered together once again like they were back in middle school. “So are we going our separate ways already?”
“Actually my teammates from Seiren are having a birthday party for me. Do you all want to come?” With Kuroko’s invitation they all agreed in unison that today was too good to end it already. It was unknown when the next time it would be before everyone got together like this. So, with that the group go their own way to get dressed into regular clothes and decide to meet in front of a convenience store down the street from Taiga’s apartment. Midorima and Maimi walked together since their family homes were still close together. “You took forever to get dressed, Shin.” Maimi whines.
“I can’t go to another’s house smelling like sweat. That would be unseemly. Besides, you're the one that almost forgot the cake and we had to go back.”
“Yeah, yeah.” She waves him off to tease the taller boy but he couldn’t say anything, noticing that everyone was already waiting. “See? We’re the last ones here.”
“Maimi! You look so pretty.” Momo’s eyes twinkle at the sight of the blonde. She thought she looked cute the last time they saw one another but today she couldn’t help but admire how pretty she was. “So are you Momo.”
“Wow, Maicchi you’re gorgeous.” Kise compliments as well, setting his eyes on her. The entire time waiting he was practically bouncing in place excited to see her dressed in something else beside a school uniform or training clothes. From what he’s heard from magazines is that girls have a different air about them in their regular clothes and they weren’t wrong in this case. He wanted to walk closer to her but Aomine grabbed him by the back of his shirt. He looked irritated at the attention she was getting. “Come on Tetsu. Show us where Taiga’s house is.”
Kuroko didn’t argue and instead walked the way that would lead them to the front of his home. “Is that a cake, Maimi?” He asks, noticing the container in her hands. “Oh yeah of course. Can’t have a party without a cake. I wish I knew that your friends were throwing a party though. I hope they didn’t bring a cake.”
“It should be fine.”
“I haven’t eaten your food since middle school. I’ll eat it all if no one else does.” Muraskibara drawles out, already eyeing the baked goods. “I’ll eat it too, Maicchi. Don’t worry we won’t let it go to waste.”
From the looks of it Taiga’s home was pretty big and seemed nice from the outside. Ringing the doorbell the group was greeted by a brown haired boy. “Good evening.” Once he caught sight of their group though he looked like he was going to have a stroke. “Hey. Furihata-kun, right?”
“A-Akashi?”
Kuroko peaked from behind the red head. “I brought my friends.” This warranted a scream apparently which surprised everyone watching the poor kid shake in his own boots. Noticing he was frozen in place Maimi looked up at Muraskibara, “Can you help him Mura?”
“Suuure.” The kid practically weighed nothing to him so they all stepped inside out of the cold.
“You’re late, senpai.”
“You live in a pretty nice place, don’t you?”
“Aomine? What are you doing?” One by one everyone stepped into the spacious area causing more of a stir at the site of the prestigious group. “Captain, Izuki-senpai, I’m surprised. You’re here, too?”
“We’re surprised too.”
“Excuse the intrusion. I’m Rakuzan’s Akashi.” The formal introduction made Maimi laugh, especially when they voiced her thoughts out loud. “We know who you are.”
“Takao, what are you doing here?”
“What are you doing here? Boy this is great so chaotic.”
“Atsushi.”
“Murochin, is this where you've been?”
In the background Aomine was making himself at home looking around for entertainment. “You’re no fun. You don’t have a single dirty magazine?”
“Dai-chin!”
“I’m not like you!” Maimi just shakes her head and taps Taiga on the shoulder. “I brought a cake. I hope you don’t mind.”
“Oh thank you.” He grabs it from her small delicate hands and some part of him feels embarrassed. “No problem. I’m sorry about him. He’s well…well there’s not much to say about him. You probably already know.”
“Oh you shouldn’t have to apologize for him.” Maimi nods and takes a seat next to Kise who was saving the seat specially for her.
“Don’t start eating snacks as soon as you arrive. It’s rude. Don’t eat the kiritanpo, either.”
“Atsushi, you have to wash your hands first.”
“Okay.”
“Maicchi, have you already decided to come to Kaijo with me right?”
“Actually I haven’t told you yet, huh? I already put my transfer in.”
“Yay! You’re going to have a blast there.”
While everyone does their own thing and relaxes into their own conversation the rest of the party arrives just as confused as everyone else. “What's going on here? All of the Generation of Miracles are here?”
“Hey Murasakibara. You’re here, too?”
“Ugh, Kiyoshi.”
“Be nice Mura.” Maimi said, which was followed by his teammate. “Hey, Atsushi. Don’t make that face.” A random dog bark caught everyone’s attention but Taiga’s face looked like one of fear. “Number 2.” If Maimi didn’t know better she would think they were sworn enemies. Once she saw the small husky she found herself along with a few others gathering in front of the dog to pet him. “He’s always so cute.”
“How adorable. Look at his little jersey!”
“Is number 2 his name? Does that mean there’s a number 1?” Maimi’s head turned around quickly to find another husky trotting around without her knowing. Instead the two upper class men point to Kuroko. “Right here.”
“Hello I’m number 1.” Maimi couldn’t help but laugh again at the coincidence.
“Don’t they look alike?”
“Indeed.”
“This is quite the crowd.”
“Sorry.”
“Don’t apologize. The more the merrier.”
“Yes.” Now that everyone was here it was time to eat. Maimi couldn’t help but admire her surroundings mixed with both new and old faces. Kise and Momo were forcing poor Kuroko to eat a mountain, Aomine and Taiga competing on who can eat more with the Seiren coach there to feed their plates, Midorima searching frantically for his lucky item and realizing everyone was currently eating it, Muraskibara stuffing his face in peace, Akashi making friends with the timing boy at the door from earlier, the rest of Seiren showing their true goofy personalities. Everything was a scene that she wanted to engrave into her mind. She hadn’t had this much fun in a while. “I want Maimi’s cake.” Muraskibara says while grabbing the entire plate it sat on in the center of the table.
“I do too! You can’t just hog it!”
“I haven’t had it forever.”
“Neither have I!”
“None of us have put it down so we can enjoy it.” Midorima being the forever tsundere he was didn’t want to admit out loud he missed her baking. He grew up being her taste tester and somehow grew to have a sweet tooth for her goodies. “All of us can share my cake.” She leans forward to cut it into even slices. Akashi had made his way over to the other side of the table to grab a slice but he found himself admiring her. She really did grow to be even more beautiful than when they first started dating. She filled out in all the right places and somehow felt like a middle school kid again blushing at the sight of her leaning forward cutting the cake for everyone. Imagining what it would be like when they got older and got married somehow. He questioned if it would be like this forever. Him simply admiring her from across the table but his day dream was interrupted at the sight of Kise having the same look on his face beside her. Instead of sitting back though he got onto his knees beside her and ended up helping her with distributing the cake to everyone. She smiled up at him with that same smile he wished was only made for him. In this moment he hated being able to read her so well because he could see it clearly now that her happiness wasn’t with him anymore. “Aomine, do you want a slice?”
She had the same polite smile that she showed everyone. That look was no longer reserved for just him anymore. “Yeah.” Grabbing the piece from Kise’s hands he looks down at it to start eating. The cake was meant to be sweet but he couldn’t help but taste nothing but bitterness each bite.
The party came to a stop when it got too late but while everyone was getting ready to pile out Aomine grabbed onto Maimi’s arm. “Can we talk?”
“Hm? Well sure but it’s kind of late.”
“It won’t be long.”
“What are two doing?” Kise comes up beside them with a smile to cover up his growing anxiety that Aomine would steal her away again.
“We-“
“We’ll see you guys.” Aomine pulls her after him at a sprinting pace that she could barely catch up to. “Aomine!”
He looks back at her with that big toothy smile that used to melt her heart, “Don’t worry we’ll be there soon.” Her mind didn’t have anything to say back. She was too busy admiring how similar he looked now to that day he took her hand.
They ran for some time until Aomine stopped signaling that they finally made it to their destination and Maimi would be able to take a breather. It wasn’t until she looked up did she realize that they stood in front of the stairs that they used to walk hand in hand down to their favorite place. Down those steps was the river way they used to frequent whenever they were able to find some time together. It was where they had their first kiss and the place they called their own. “Come on.” Aomine takes the first few steps down the steep stairs before he turns back around to take her hand again. Just like he always did back then to make sure her clumsy self didn’t topple down. She surprisingly didn’t stop him and allowed the passive looking boy to keep holding on even when they made it on flat land. The grass was now a bit taller like no one has touched it since they last came here, the straw like fibers flowing along with the crisp winter air. Maimi couldn’t help but admire the starry night before she realized Aomine had taken a seat on the fluffy greenery.
Aomine was also in his own world looking up at the sky that once fascinated him. The view here was always his favorite thing to witness in the busy city. It was own piece of heaven that he didn’t allow anyone else to witness beside her. Back then she was his heaven that he got to take with him everywhere rather than in the late hours when everyone was tucked away into their own beds at home. He wasn’t sure when the dark thoughts first came about, or when his anger and insecurities turned him into such a volatile shell of who he once was. The pain that he saw in her eyes when he broke up with her almost woke him up from that self destructive nature but he continued to storm away in his own fit of anger. Refusing to look back no matter how much that part of him screamed at him to do so. There was not much he regretted after coming to Too High; but along with betraying Kuroko’s friendship, letting her go was the one thing he wished he could have stopped himself from doing.
The empty space beside him was taken up by her once again despite the short skirt she had on. While he was about to take his jacket off to cover her legs she just waved him off. “It’s fine. I’m wearing shorts underneath. So why did you drag me here?”
He shrugs and replies, “I wanted to spend some time with you. It’s been a while.”
“Well that’s for a good reason and that reason was because of you. So, what's up?” Aomine was surprised at her quip but couldn’t disagree. Everything was his own fault and he was feeling the full force of that karma now. “I’ve missed you. I see the way you’ve talking to everyone. How you forgave Akashi. How you’ve been looking at Kise lately. I guess I wanted to talk to you before anything happens and say I’m sorry too before it’s too late.”
It was a long pregnant moment while those words sank in. For the longest time that was all the girl wanted to hear from her first love. An acknowledgment of her pain and an apology to follow. If he had done that just months ago she would have forgiven him and possibly taken him back without a second to spare, but she wasn’t the same. She was no longer the feeble young girl that looked to him or others for her own self worth. She was happy on her own right now being independent, but it didn’t mean that apology no longer mattered. It just meant that she was now allowed to move on completely without any qualms or regrets weighing her down. “Thank you. I’m glad you said that. It took me a long time to realize everything that happened back then wasn’t my fault. That I deserved better than that. I know you had your own insecurities but so did I; and I never would have said or done some of the things you did to me. I’m glad you said you’re sorry and that you’re starting to change, but I don’t think either of us are the same anymore. So, before you say anything about Kise or whatever I want you to know that while I will always love you I will never be able to be with you because I love myself way more now to do that ever again.”
When those words finally left her mouth Maimi felt revived. It had been weighing on her for so long, unsolved, that being able to speak her mind in front of the boy that broke her heart made her shoulders feel lighter than before. Aomine was hurt that she ended any hope that they would find their way back to each other, but he knew that it was more his pride being hurt than anything else. When he looked at her and saw the lighter expression she had now looking up at the stars he knew that there was nothing more to say. He wouldn’t bother her for more time, he would have to be okay with what they had already. It wasn’t her job to make him feel at peace with this, so he just smiled fondly at her side profile. She was much more beautiful this way anyway.
The couple sat in the same spot they spent most of their middle school years goofing off. The stream was steadily flowing as it normally did. The sound of the water was calming to the young girl but the memories that the place brought had stopped her from returning.
They were silent, taking in the moment they both had unknowingly been waiting for since the day they last parted. When they both decided to walk away from the memories they shared. It was a calming moment for them to sit beside each other without holding contempt, or fear in their hearts. All the good memories seemed to be washed away with the bad when they last met. However, time always heals if you allow it to.
The young blonde girl thought back to their last big fight that stopped their dreamlike love story in its tracks, and smiled. She could remember his words piercing through her heart at the time, but now it seemed to all make sense. They were young kids trying to figure out who they were still. Although it doesn’t excuse the hurt he caused her at the time it made her realize that they were both frantically trying to fight for a different outcome. She couldn’t sacrifice herself to be his emotional punching bag, and he was too lost in his own world to realize the truth in front of him.
She wanted to believe that if things were different, or had noticed his change of attitude sooner perhaps there could have been a better outcome for them. However at this moment she knew that they were both already in the places they should be. He was beginning to look forward to basketball again. She was beginning to love herself. They were on their own paths in life and they were both content with that fact.
I finally realized so I love me
Not so perfect but so beautiful

KNB Characters as Mitski Songs
Warning; kinda sad (also these are my interpretations of the songs lol)
Akashi Seijuro: Me and my Husband
- My interrupting of the song is someone whose existence is only to serve someone, like a wife who acts as her only purpose in life is to serve her husband, and I feel like that really described Akashis personality. He wants to be the best - why? - because that's what's expected from him. His family expects him to be perfect in order to carry on their legacy.
"And at least in this lifetime, We're sticking together, Me and my husband, We're sticking together" - the 'husband', in this situation, is Akashis expectation to be perfect. In this lifetime, he's always going to strive to be perfect - he's never going to stop chasing the idea of perfection throughout his life. Because that's all he knows, that's all his purpose.
"And I am the idiot with the painted face, In the corner, taking up space, But when he walks in, I am loved, I am loved" - He's no one if not striving to be perfect at everything - because that's all he's known in his life and that's all his world is. He has no greater purpose other than being the best tbh. Though he is shown as a leader, in reality, he is just a very devoted follower.
~
Kise Ryouta: Strawberry Blond
- The song, to me, is about admiring someone and hoping to be like them. I've said it once and I'll say it again - but Kise is probably going through the biggest identity crisis of all time. And just the sing-song nature of the song reflects how he feels - he's not jealous of them or anything of a spiteful nature, he looks at them like a child looking up to a superhero - in genuine wholehearted admiration.
"All I need, darling, Is a life in your shape, I picture it, soft, And I ache"-Being the perfect copycat, not even his own thing like Haizaki, he's literally not original at all. He looks up to the other GOM members because of their unique skills because they can claim their achievements as their own. He looks up to them - their uniqueness, their authenticity.
"Oh all I ever wanted was a, Life in your shape, So I follow the white lines, Follow the white lines" - He wants to be like them lol, on a deeper sense to where he can be as confident as them in who he really is. He adores them for being their own individual person, something that he can't be.
~
Kiyoshi Teppei: Last words of a Shooting Star
- ISTG this song can be used as a CIA Torture method. The song is about how things went wrong, and just recounting the last moments while approaching the end (TO ME).
"All of this turbulence wasn't forecasted, Apologies from the intercom" - Kiyoshis leg being injured, it was such a sudden event - not even a natural thing because it happened cuz of Hanamiya, and it came so sudden it literally changed his world - like no one could've seen this happen.
"They'll never know how I'd stared at the dark in that room, With no thoughts, Like a blood-sniffing shark" - I just know Kiyoshi stays up at night, thinking about his injury - his future. He's very enthusiastic about the sport - and he probably would have a career in it - it's sad tho, thinking about him coming home and locking himself in his room and taking off his happy facade and finally letting the gravity of the situation kicked in, that he will never play basketball again or any sport cuz of his injury. He will always have to watch from a distance.
"And you'd say you love me and look in my eyes, But I know through mine you were, Looking in yours" - just the pain Kiyoshi feels when he hears his team talk about advancing further in tournaments - the achievements they achieve - but he'd know that he will never join them. Everyone on the team knows probably. He knows that when they talk about the team moving on they don't include him. He knows he's only a temporary member because he physically can't move on. They can include him in things as much as they want, but in the end, they will carry on without him.
Lowkey crying cuz this one hurts.
All for now, cuz I'm not mentally strong enough to rip apart mfs like this.

hiya! could i request for your opinion on what sort of nsfw kinks that kagami, aomine, himuro, hanamiya, haizaki and kise have? thank yoou!!
You are lucky lol you were the first ask and so you don’t have to wait long!  I did the best I could~
KagamiTaiga
Dude is pretty vanilla imo.
Takes him a long time to work up toanything even remotely kinky, or even any position other than missionary.  That’s not to say he doesn’t have a highlibido, he does, he just has a way of doing things and he’s nervous to branchout from that
Probably a praise kink though – he wantsto be told what a good boy he is and how much you like what he’s doing to you –especially if he’s going down on you. You probably had to ask in the first place, to make sure to give him lots of positive reinforcement.
AomineDaiki
He’s down for anything you want totry (save, perhaps, things involving bodily fluids).
Even though he’s definitely a dom,if you want to tie him up and have your way, he’d totally let you.  As long as you let him too.
Breast kink 100%, if he’s with afemale.  This is absolutely canon.  He’s not even secret about it – is foreverspending as much time as he can on your breasts and will absolutely fuck themwhenever he can.  He just loves the sightand feel of them and doesn’t really care how big they are.
(ps. This does not mean he can’t andwon’t be with someone not female.)
HimuroTatsuya
Given that I fully believe this boyis a needy-type yandere, he probably has a skinship kink.
Not generally how you use this term,I know, but it fits.  He always wants tobe touching you, to have as much of his skin pressed against yours as possibleso he can feel close and wanted.
Also praise kink, though it goesboth ways.  He needs you to tell him howmuch you love him, that you don’t want anyone but him, and tell him how amazinghe makes you feel.  He will do the samething though and is not at all shy about telling you in explicit detail what he’sfeeling, especially if he’s inside you.
HanamiyaMakoto
High-key bdsm kink.
Control gets him off and seeing youdo exactly what he tells you is so hot he can barely stand it.  Plus, seeing you completely vulnerable and athis mercy… he could come with that sight alone.
Is pretty terrible and so makes youdo terrible things.  He wants to see yousuffer in public and will force you to wear something like a bullet vibratorjust to torture you (see this ask)
Is the kind of dom that whispersfilthy things in your ear as he fucks you. Likes humiliation and pain, but if he’s generally significantly softerif he’s with someone he cares about. Always gets permission.
A+ aftercare game, though hecomplains about it
HaizakiShougo
Powerplay kink.  Not full bdsm, since that has structure andrules, but gets off on dominating and hearing his partner beg.
The worst tease.  Will edge you into infinity just because hecan, leave you tied up and at his mercy for hours and hours.  Might not ever let you come – depends on whatyou do for him.
Bonus points if you cry for him.
KiseRyouta
Voyeur//semi-public sex kink.
Loves watching you pleasureyourself, especially when you don’t know he’s watching.  It doesn’t happen often, but he always triesnevertheless.  Nothing gets him goingfaster.
Will fuck you when there is seriousdanger of being interrupted, even if it gets him in trouble.  Has fucked you in his dressing room, in thelocker room at school, behind the rugby team’s equipment shed.
That time someone accidentally foundyou with his cock down your throat had him coming so hard.

I’m super late, but I still wanted to contribute to Aoki Day (5/7) within the month of May.  Aokise is always for @limitlessmonster, who encouraged me to use an idea from my own work experience and run with aokise. LOL.  Summary: In which Kise and Aomine work for the same financial company in different regional offices. Phone calls get a little more personal and relationships lean further away from professional. After all, who can resist Aomine’s voice?  On ao3
“Thank you for calling Teikou Financial. Kise speaking.”
“This is Aomine, from the life insurance sales department.” Oh, it’s Mr. Deep Voice. Kise can hear Takao’s voice in his head.
He smiles to himself as he brushes his fingers across the keyboard. Aomine is his favorite salesperson. Takao sings the praises of Midorima, who is thorough and calculating in his speech patterns, but Aomine’s voice, in Kise’s opinion, is a good reason to favor him instead.
“Hello, Aomine-san. What can I help you with today?”
“Look, I have a request. I really don’t wanna go back to this client to tell them they need to do another med exam, but I know underwriters can be picky about results.”
Kise nods to himself. He’s content to let Aomine ramble just to listen to that deep drawl.
There’s a brief pause, interrupted seconds later by a soft sigh. “Guess I should’a started with the policy number, huh?”
Kise chuckles. “That’s alright. It could be considered a general question. I’m assuming the client completed an exam with another company?”
Aomine laughs. “Read my mind.” A rush of satisfaction brings another smile to Kise’s lips. “So ya think I could send that paperwork in and—“
“If you send it directly to me, Aomine-san, I’d be happy to deliver it straight to the underwriter myself. I’m quite persuasive when I want to be.”
The deep, rich laughter from the other end of the phone sends a shiver down Kise’s spine.
“I have no doubt about that. Okay if I email them?”
“Of course. You still have my email address?”
“Got it saved from the paperwork you sent last time.”
He can hear Aomine typing on the other end of the line and notes, with some amusement, that he types considerably slower than Kise.
“I really appreciate this, Kise-san.”
“Just Kise is fine.”
Aomine chuckles. “Just Kise then.”
“Is there anything else I can help with you with?”
“Plenty, but I’m sure you don’t have the time for all of it.” A pause. “Or the qualifications.”
“I’m qualified for plenty.”
More laughter. Goosebumps pop up across Kise’s arm.
“I’ll keep that in mind.”
“Good.” He’s grinning now and secretly grateful that Takao isn’t perched on his desk to see this right now. “Well, if you ever need anything, please don’t hesitate to call.”
“Oh, I won’t.”
“Have a nice day, Aomine-san.”
“Just Aomine.”
Kise laughs. “Have a nice day, Aomine.”
“You too, Kise.”
“I could really use a favor, Kise.”
Kise tries to hide his grin when Aomine’s deep voice rumbles through his headset. He’s waving a hand behind him, trying to usher Takao away from his desk. Takao leans in instead and smirks, mouthing is that him, batting his eyelashes and pretending to fan himself.
“You know I’m always willing to do you a favor, Aomine.”
He can practically hear the smile on Aomine’s lips as he says, “Just the words I wanted to hear.”
Takao is laying across one edge of his desk, miming his heart beating out of his chest. Kise adamantly ignores him.
“What can I do for you?”
“There’s a long list of things I want to ask for, but… I’ll only ask for the work related one right now.”
Dammit… he curses the color that rises to his cheeks.
“Shoot.” His voice is breathless, his mind locked on all the things he wants Aomine to ask for, but will never voice aloud.
“I really need that one policy to go out…ya know which one I mean?”
“The policy for Akashi Seijurou?”
“Yes,” Aomine releases a groan of relief. “God, you always just know, don’t ya?”
Kise chuckles. “You did just send me an email on it not too long ago.”
“Right, right.” Aomine laughs. “This is a huge case. Guy’s got a lotta money going into this one and he wants it done as soon as possible. He’s kinda scary so anything you can do to help... Everything is in to send it out, right?”
“Pulling it up right now.” Kise fingers fly across the keyboard. He clicks through the paperwork on the case as quickly as he can, nodding to himself and softly humming the latest song stuck in his head. “Looks like everything is good to go. I’ll stay a little later to make sure this gets mailed out overnight today.”
“You’re a damn lifesaver.”
“Excuse you,” Kise laughs. He loves that Aomine isn’t afraid to use profanity on a work line. He’s confident enough in his skills to know they won’t let him go so easily, has said as much to Kise before. “Only for you.”
“Even better,” Aomine says with a quiet laugh. “Only for me.”
Kise smiles to himself and slaps Takao’s hand away when he reaches for Kise’s flushed cheek.
“Now let me go so I can work on this policy for you.”
“Hah? Can’t talk and work at the same time?” Aomine teases.
“Aomine…” He can talk and work at the same time. He does it with Takao all day.
He can’t talk to Aomine and work at the same time. Aomine’s voice is far too distracting.
“Got it, got it. I’ll let you go. Thanks again, Kise. I owe ya.”
“Anytime.”
“You do know this is your third time calling me this week.” Kise swears he has a permanent smile on his face. His customer service skills must have improved these past few months with these frequent calls from his favorite salesperson.
“Is it?” Aomine chuckles. “Hey, I always call with work questions. No one can deny that.”
Kise snorts in amusement. “That argument might be questionable when you consider the fact that our last conversation was roughly forty minutes long.”
“I had a lot of questions,” Aomine replies. “Needed a lot of answers.”
“Pretty sure you know more about my upcoming family events now than even most of my family members do.”
Aomine’s soft snicker over the phone makes Kise’s heart skip a beat or two. It’s not a sound he hears often, but he’s grown to like it. A lot.
“If anyone asks, we were discussing the merits of long term care riders and their benefits to customers interested in purchasing permanent insurance.”
“Were you reading a script?” Kise bites his lip to suppress a snort of laughter.
“Damn right I was.”
“Aominecchi! Language!”
The static sound of silence greets his outburst and for a second he thinks their phone queue has shut down like it did for two hours last week.
Then Aomine says, “Did you just call me… Aominecchi?”
Oh shit…
“Ah…”
“Kise…” Aomine’s voice deepens. It’s the kind of voice he’s used in past conversations to encourage Kise to spill the beans about a topic he wasn’t necessarily willing to elaborate on.  It works every time.
“It’s…” Kise presses mute on his phone and presses his forehead against the table with a groan. He catches sight of Takao out of the corner of his eye. He quickly taps out the word later into their existing IM and takes a deep breath before taking himself off mute. “It’s kinda what I started referring to you around the office here. I really only use it as a sign of respect, so it’s nothing weird or… anything.” He cuts himself off before he can sound like even more of an idiot.
Another long pause tempts him to hang up until Aomine says, “So, you talk about me with yer coworkers over there?”
Kise is glad they’re conversing over the phone so Aomine can’t see the nice shade of red his face is sporting right now. He can feel the heat in his cheeks and thinks he might need to take a swim in the frigid pool at their company gym after work today.
“I…” There’s no getting out of this now. “I do. But it’s only because we’ve spoken so frequently and you’re my favorite salesperson. And sometimes I get asked about my phone calls so I have to give at least some information away. And I’m at least letting people know you work here with us, just in another location. And—“
“Hold it,” Aomine interrupts. “What did you just say?”
“I’m letting people know you work here with us?”
“No, Kise.” If rolling your eyes had a sound, Kise is pretty sure he would’ve hear it right now. He’s positive Aomine rolled his eyes. “Before that.”
“About giving informa—“
“Before that.”
“About getting asked—“
A soft growl comes out of the phone and Kise stops breathing.
“Are you really this stupid or are you just pretending to be so you don’t have to admit it again?”
“This call may be monitored for quality and training purposes,” Kise counters as a reminder.
“Kise, I swear to god…”
Oh god… Kise draws in a slow, steady breath to ground himself. “That you’re my favorite salesperson?”
Aomine let’s out a heavy breath, like he’d been holding it while Kise skirted around his question. “Yes. That.”
“Well…” Kise sighs and runs his fingers through his hair. “It’s true.”
“Mm…” Aomine’s deep hum of contentment through the phone has to be a national treasure. Kise wishes he could find the recording of this call just to hear it again. “Ya know, yer kinda my favorite too.”
Kise breathes in sharply. “You’re favorite…” what?
“Yes,” Aomine replies. “My favorite.”
The silence that follows is weighted in an indescribable way. Kise is certain this isn’t an appropriate conversation to have at work. His hard earned phone etiquette skills fly out the window when Aomine is involved and he’s grateful his boss hasn’t decided to pull and monitor his calls.
“I’ll talk to you later, Kise. Thanks.” Aomine pauses and Kise holds his breath. “For reviewing that illustration for me.”
Ah… “You’re welcome, Aominecchi,” Kise replies softly.
“Bye, Kise.”
“Goodbye, Aominecchi.”
“Where do you think you’ll go on your first date?”
Kise looks up from the salad he brought for lunch and blinks at Takao.
“Excuse me?”
Takao sighs and dramatically throws his hands up in the air in mock irritation. “Keep up, Ryou-chan!”
“Who are you even talking about?”
“You and Mr. Sex-Phone-Operator-Voice of course!”
Kise’s eyes widen as he makes a slashing gesture with his hand across his throat. “Kazucchi, keep your voice down. Jeeze…”
Takao cackles. “It’s hysterical how embarrassed you get when I mention him when you have no problem openly swooning and drooling over him on the phone.”
“Shut up,” Kise grumbles, shoving a forkful of lettuce into his mouth.
“You know those calls are recorded, right?” Takao grins, leaning his chin in his hand. “Anyone can listen to you charm him like the shameless flirt you are.”
Takao now listens in on  any conversation of Kise’s when he’s close enough to hear. He’s caught Kise on the phone with Aomine more times than Kise cares to admit and, yes, every single time Kise has been shamelessly flirting.
But Aomine flirts back. He laughs that deep, rich, heartstopping laugh of his, practically purrs Kise’s name every time he says it, tells Kise how he’s his favorite, how he loves Kise’s laugh, how he wonders what it would be like to work in the same office .
Kise wonders the same thing. He wonders if the novelty of talking to Aomine would wear off, or not exist, if they knew one another in person. If they worked face to face. It’s a thought Kise entertains every now and again, always coming to the same conclusion.
The novelty would never wear off.
It isn’t just Aomine’s voice that he likes anymore. He likes Aomine. He likes his laugh, the smile he can hear instead of see, the way he’s fearless, doesn’t care who hears, doesn’t care what he says. He likes Aomine’s dedication to his job, his blatant favoritism of Kise. He just likes Aomine.
“You never answered my question,” Takao points out.
“Kazucchi, I’m never gonna see him,” Kise admits softly. It’s another thought that’s been swimming through his mind and, again, he only comes to one conclusion. It’s highly unlikely they’ll ever meet in person.
“You don’t know that.”
“I don’t even know what he looks like,” Kise groans. His head tips forward, his forehead making contact with the cafeteria table. He groans again.
“Do you want to?” Takao asks.
Kise tilts his head to the side, peering up at Takao through strands of hair covering his eyes. “You know I do.”
Takao grins. “I know what he looks like.”
Kise’s head is off the table in an instant. “You… what?”
“I know what he looks like,” Takao repeats, his grin spreading wider. He looks like the Cheshire Cat, but Kise isn’t in the mood for his games.
“Kazucchi, so help me…” His hand twitches, itching to grab a pen that isn’t near him to lob at Takao’s grinning face. “If you don’t tell me what you mean, I’ll—“
“I printed a picture of him.”
Kise gapes. “You printed…”
“It wasn’t hard to find him on the company website.” Takao shrugs and reaches into the back pocket of his dress slacks. “You wanna see?”
Drawing in a sharp breath, Kise nods. “You know I do…”
Takao unfolds the paper and slides it across the table. Kise realizes two things. One, Aomine is hot. Like tall, dark and handsome, bad boy, let me slam you against the wall and leave you breathless kind of hot. And two, Kise is royally screwed, and not in the way he wants to be after seeing that photo.
“Fuck…” he mutters, unable to take his eyes away from the mischievous gleam in the eyes of Aomine’s photo.
“My thoughts exactly,” Takao laughs and comes to the same realization as Kise. “You’re screwed.”
“I have a confession to make, Aominecchi.”
Kise hides in one of the small conference rooms on their office floor. He had transferred Aomine’s call to the phone in here to avoid Takao. He doesn’t need him sitting at his desk, cackling while he admits that he’s been thinking about Aomine ever since he saw the face that went with that sinfully deep voice.
Well, maybe he won’t say it in those exact words, but something to that effect.
“Mm… do you?”
Kise hears the smile in his voice and runs his palm down his face. It’s warm. He’s probably blushing. Thank god Takao didn’t follow him.
“So I may have looked through the company website…” he trails off and stares at the computer in front of him where he’s pulled up Aomine’s profile once again. “And checked out the team profiles.”
“Yeah?” Aomine drawls.
“And I noticed you play basketball.”
Aomine chuckles. “That’s what you noticed?”
“Well…” Kise rubs at his nape and imagines the smile on Aomine’s face. His heart thunders in his chest. “Obviously that’s not the only thing I noticed.”
“What else?” Aomine asks.
Kise frowns. “Now you’re just being mean.”
“You’re dancin’ around the real subject, Kise.” Aomine is laughing again. “You were looking up my picture.”
With an internal groan, Kise finally says, “I saw your picture.”
There’s a pause on the other end. Kise’s heart is beating so loud now he’s not sure he’ll hear Aomine if he says anything else.
“So,” Aomine finally says, his deep voice breaking through Kise’s incessant heartbeat. “Like what you see?”
Kise draws in a sharp breath, holds it. When he finally exhales his voice is soft, breathy. “How could I not?”
There’s the laughter again. Deep, rich. Like velvet across Kise’s skin. He shudders.
“Good to know I didn’t disappoint.”
Kise snorts. “Aominecchi, I highly doubt you could do anything to disappoint me.”
When Aomine lets out a sound similar to a gasp, Kise slaps a hand over his mouth. The realization that his words sounded so close to a confession dawns on him and he doesn’t know what to say. Doesn’t know how to make it seem like Aomine hasn’t been invading his thoughts day in and day out.
“I just mean that… you’re my favorite, you know? I like you. Not just because you’re good at your job or you have this great voice or that—“
“Kise,” Aomine interrupts. Kise’s name comes through the phone as a soft growl. “You talk too much.”
Kiss presses his lips together.
“Never thought I’d been into an idiot who talks as much as you do, but can’t control my tastes, can I?”
“Aominecchi!” Kise hisses, indignant. “I’m not an idiot!”
“Sometimes you are,” Aomine chuckles. “But hey, gotta let you go. Got a meeting to get to in five minutes. Should’a been setting up already.”
Kise sighs. He really should get back to his desk anyway. “Okay, okay.”
“Talk to you later, pretty boy.”
Kise blinks. “Pretty boy?”
“And by the way, Kise,” Aomine pauses and Kise holds his breath. “I looked up your picture too.”
The silence on the end of the line is proof that Aomine hung up, but Kise doesn’t put the phone down until it starts to beep loudly in his ear. When he hangs up, he stares at the phone in disbelief. Aomine had looked up his picture, had been wondering what Kise looked like too.
But that fact alone doesn’t leave him speechless. It’s only now that he realizes that maybe he wasn’t the only one who let loose a confession on that phone call.
Never thought I’d be into an idiot who talks as much as you do…
A wide smile spreads across Kise’s lips. He presses his forehead against the table and laughs.
Aominecchi is into me.
“Ryou-chaaaaan!”
Takao slides onto the bench beside Kise, singsonging his name. Kise has been sitting outside by the small pond behind their building for the past fifteen minutes, debating on what to get his sister for her birthday. And maybe trying not to think about his conversation with Aomine and how he had suggested lingerie to impress her new boyfriend.
His eyes flicker toward Takao and the brilliant grin that lights up his face. The grin can only mean one of two things. Takao has news that will excite Kise. Or he has news that will come at Kise’s expense, and will, without a doubt, fail to excite him.
“You’ve heard, haven’t you?” Takao continues without being prompted. Always good at filling silences.
“Heard what?” He shifts on the bench to better look at Takao. To try and read the sparkle in his eyes.
“About our visitors.”
Kise glances around. He doesn’t recall hearing about any visitors. It’s definitely not food truck day, or Takao would already have his container of tacos, half eaten, in his lap. Maybe he missed a visit from the Vice President while he was out musing.
“Kazucchi, if I knew, don’t you think I’d be just as excited as you?”
Takao’s grin widens. “Oh, you’ll be excited all right.”
Kise scrunches his nose. “Are you going to tell me who it is, or are you—“
“The sales team.”
Kise freezes.
“The sales team is coming to visit next week.”
Kise stares at him. He’s not sure he heard Takao correctly. The last he had heard about company travel was that they had put a temporary ban on it. The company wasn’t necessarily hurting for money, but they weren’t in a position to expend any of the budget on unnecessary travel when technology like video conference could be used on a daily basis for communication.
“That can’t be right…” Kise shakes his head. Surely Aomine would’ve brought it up, right? “The budget…”
“Ah!” Takao holds up a finger and presses his other hand to his chest, deepening his voice in a perfect imitation of Midorima. “‘Takao, it appears we will be guests at your regional office next week, Thursday May 7th, to present the recent successes of the sales team and how it will positively affect your work flow and the revenue of the company.’”
Kise snorts. “And you make fun of me for Aominecchi.”
Takao shrugs. “I can’t help it that my taste in men leans toward pretentious, superstitious, tight asses like Shin-Chan.”
If possible, Takao’s correspondence with Midorima could rival Kise’s number of conversations with Aomine.
“I can’t believe he told you before an email went out,” Kise muses aloud. Midorima isn’t one to skirt around protocol. He follows the rules to a T. Unlike someone else…
Someone who didn’t share the news of the sales team travel with Kise.
“Do you think…” Kise bites his lip as he trails off. He stares at the rippling in the pond as two ducklings skirt across the surface near the water’s edge. “Do you think they’re bringing the whole sales team?”
“Ryou-chan.” Takao elbows him in the side and waggles his eyebrows. “Thinking about all the things Aomine can sell you on while he’s here?”
Kise pushes Takao’s face away and rolls his eyes. He ignores Takao’s laughter as he stands, lifting his hand in a brief wave as he says, “Gotta finish up with a few policies before I go so I’m heading back in.”
“Make sure to tell Aomine hi for me!” Takao shouts as Kise walks away.
Kise lifts a single finger over his shoulder and silently curses Takao for his insight. He knows exactly which policy to pull up as an excuse to make a call.
“You know, you don’t have to use the Nijimura policy as a reason to call me,” Aomine drawls, his laughter rumbling through Kise’s headset. Kise rubs his hands up and down his arms to flatten the goosebumps that raise across his skin.
“Well, besides the fact that I wanted to hear your voice,” Kise grins as Aomine chuckles again. “We are missing a signature on this one disclosure form…”
“What the hell, Kise? You’re supposed to warn me about these things.”
“Ah,” Kise raises his hands on either side of his head in surrender, even though Aomine can’t see it. “In fairness, it was forwarded straight to me so you didn’t get to see it and it just came in.”
“Yer a little shit, ya know that?”
Kise snickers. “Aominecchi, that’s mean.” He taps his fingers against his desk and stares at the email in front of him. He’s read it more times than he can count. It’s confirmation that the sales team is headed to their office. The entire sales team. “But now that I have you on the phone… tell me, do you have any plans for next week?”
“Next week?” Aomine is tapping something against his desk. Kise can hear it through his headset. “That’s a weird thing to ask. Guess I don’t have anything in particular planned. Might take mom out to dinner cause she’s been on my ass about seeing me these past few days.”
Weird thing to ask… “You say that like it’s a chore,” Kise says with a soft laugh. “Like you won’t get a free meal out of it.”
“I never said I wasn’t down for dinner.” Aomine’s voice deepens to that suggestive tone he uses when he’s trying to intentionally fluster Kise. “What about you?”
Kise scrunches his nose. Dinner with his mom, he reminds himself as he says, “We’re having some visitors in the office next week.”
“Are you?” Aomine bums on the other end of the line. “Like the VP? Pretty sure that guy is coming here sometime soon too.”
“Like another team,” Kise ventures, his fingers ghosting over the forward button of the email notification they received. Maybe if he sends it to Aomine...
“Another team, huh?” Aomine chuckles. “Hope you don’t have a favorite person on that team too.”
Kise frowns. Is he really not coming? “Aominecchi, I know that you’re—“
“Oi, Kise,” Aomine interrupts. His voice is muffled for a moment as he says something to someone away from the receiver. “Gotta get going. We’re going out for lunch over here at the company’s expense. Talk to you later?”
”Oh, uh… yeah. Yeah, talk to you later Aominecchi.”
Kise is about to press the button to hang up the phone when Aomine says, “Oh, and Kise.”
“Mm?” Kise pauses, his finger hovering above the end call button.
“I hope you don’t have any plans next Thursday cause I could use a tour guide around your area and, you know, you’re kinda my favorite.”
A smile spreads across Kise’s lips, so wide it hurts his cheeks. “I’ll see if I can spare the time.”
Aomine laughs. “I’ll see you then, Kise.”
“See you, Aominecchi.”
Aomine in person is better than anything Kise’s imagination can conjure up.
He’s a hair taller than Kise, but it’s enough to get a smirk of satisfaction from Aomine when he notices. And that smirk. Kise’s knees threatened to buckle the moment Aomine turns that smirk on him. His skin is darker than the picture suggested, his hair a deeper blue.
His voice sounds better in person than it ever has over the phone. He stands in front of their entire department and goes over the feedback they’ve received from reputable clients, the rise in business they expect to receive from word of mouth alone. When he finishes and gestures for Midorima to take his place to crunch numbers, he angles his chair enough to meet Kise’s eye and grins.
People have always told Kise that his smile is dazzling. But none of them have ever seen a real smile from Aomine. Kise doesn’t think he can never compare.
After the meeting, they’re released early. Aomine makes his way to Kise’s desk, walks with him as they leave the building.
“So,” Aomine says, nudging Kise with his elbow.
Kise feels a flare of heat erupt from the touch, even through the fabric of their dress shirts. “So,” Kise replies, grinning to himself as they walk down the street.
The weather is perfect. Kise silently thanks any and all gods out there for giving him clear skies and beautiful temperatures. He also thanks Takao for his constant weather updates.
“You buyin’ me dinner?” Aomine smirks and digs his hands into the pocket of his slacks. “I am an honored guest, after all, aren’t I?”
Kise rolls his eyes. “You’re insufferable, Aominecchi.” He shifts, turning to walk backward so he can face Aomine as he talks. The sidewalks have recently been paved and all the little kinks that used to trip him up have been smoothed out. Aomine won’t have to find out about his clumsy side just yet.
Just yet… Kise thinks, hoping this visit isn’t a singular one. Hoping that more will come.
“I was thinking we could go to a little hole-in-the-wall ramen shop I like to frequent,” he says, gesturing down the street behind him. “It’s only a few blocks away. It’s small, but I’ve never had better ramen than there.”
Aomine’s lips twitch. “I have a damn good ramen shop back home. You really wanna make that claim?”
Kise smirks right back. “Aominecchi, you haven’t had this damn good ramen.”
“Sounds like a challenge, Kise.”
Kise shrugs. “I do have better taste than you, Aominecchi. I mean, look at that tie.”
Aomine shoves at Kise’s shoulder. “You little—“
“So you’re only here until tomorrow morning, right?” Kise asks, turning back around to fall into step at Aomine’s side. “Takao mentioned Midorima staying until the evening, but most of you are headed out early?”
Aomine hums to himself, casting a side eye glance at Kise. “I’ll leave when I want to leave.”
“And…” He leans toward Aomine. “when will that be, Aominecchi?”
“Sunday night at the latest.”
Kise cannot suppress the smile that spreads across his lips. He bumps his shoulder against Aomine’s and says, “You just can’t get enough of me, can you? I guess that means I’ll to show you around since you’re a tourist and all. Take you to all my favorite food places, the best things to see, the best shops, all of—“
“Kise.” Aomine grabs Kise’s wrist, stopping him. “You talk too much.”
“Wha—“
Kise’s confused protest is muffled when Aomine’s lips cover his own. It takes Kise a moment for the action to sink in before his arms raise to slide around Aomine’s neck and he kisses back.
Again, his imagination did nothing to prepare him for this. Aomine is warm, all over. His lips are like a fire brand against Kise’s. It feels right, Kise thinks in the back of his mind. Like finding the final piece of a puzzle he’s been working on all his life.
When Aomine pulls away, Kise blinks at him, dazed. Aomine’s cocky smirk draws him out of it and Kise shoves at his shoulder with a pout.
“Aominecchi! The first kiss comes after the first date.” He presses shaky fingers against his lips to hide his smile. “Those are the rules.”
“Kise,” Aomine grabs his hand, pulling it away from his mouth to thread their fingers together. “Pretty sure our first date was during one of those long ass phone calls.” He ignores Kise’s snort of indignation and adds, “Besides, I don’t like to play by the rules.”
He steals another brief kiss before Kise can protest and pulls him down the street. “Now c’mon. I’ve got a big bowl of ramen with my name on it and you better have a damn good plan to keep me occupied this weekend.”
Kise stifles a laugh and says, “I have a few things in mind.” Grateful for the extra days, no matter how few.

Hey hey, are you familiar with the TFS team from KnB? Can you make a scenario with this team please?? I love this team and I wish to see it real
Hi sweetheart! I’d never heard of this team before you told me, so I looked around. I found very little information about it, but I love it! Takao & Momoi’s friendship is one of my fave headcanons, they would rock. So, here’s a…thing? Absolutely self-indulgent and out of contest.
Have a wonderful day!
TFS Team (Takao, Momoi, Himuro, Kasamatsu, Mayuzumi and Kiyoshi), Slice of Life, Pre-MomoMayu, Bonding, References to other couples, Stupid Jokes, SomeoneSaveKasamatsuSenpai
 Bonding
“We’re here!” Kiyoshi’s loud voice echoed in the peaceful afternoon. He and Kasamatsu walked down the path of the park until they reached the tree under which the rest of team was waiting.
Mayuzumi was reading a novel, trying to shut out the, noisy, world outside. Momoi was seated with Takao’s head on her lap, as she chatted excitedly with Himuro.
“Senpai!” Takao waved his hand cheerfully, followed by the others. Only Mayuzumi decided to just nod in acknowledgment.
“Yo,” Kasamatsu curtly greeted, seating in the grass with them. In his hands, he had a plastic bag full of small treats.
“You’re all here!” Kiyoshi commented warmly, looking at them with fondness.
Momoi nodded happily, “I’d never miss a reunion!”
Takao grinned, “I’m actually surprised Mayu-chan came too, after his salty messages on the group chat.”
The boy looked up from his book and glared, “Stop with the nickname.”
Takao’s Cheshire smile widened.
“I bet he didn’t want to miss the chance to meet with our pretty manager,” he hummed teasingly.
The girl blushed furiously.
“Takao-kun!” she scolded flicking his forehead as the boy laughed loudly.
Mayuzumi’s cheeks reddened, but he remained impassible.
“I came for the free food.”
“I think it’s a lie,” Himuro argued with his fake, polite smile and Mayuzumi’s eyebrows twitched in annoyance.
“Didn’t you have to babysit the big purple baby?”
“Didn’t you have to serve your psycho emperor?”
“Alright brats,” Kasamatsu interrupted them before things went out of hand since Kiyoshi was laughing carefree at their bantering, “I’ve just arrived and I already want to go home.”
“Aw Captain, I know you love us!” Takao taunted, batting his eyelashes and grabbing the older boy’ sleeve.
Kasamatsu grimaced disgusted and slapped his hand away, “Do you want to get hit?”
“Kinky senpai!”
Kasamatsu nearly choked on air, eyes wide and cheeks scarlet with embarrassment. Himuro had to hide his smirk with a hand and even Mayuzumi snorted. Momoi tried to glare at his friend, still resting on her lap, but a giggle escaped from her lips.
“I’ll end you all.” Kasamatsu’s tone dropped to icy cold and all the boys in the group froze, internally debating if they had to stand up and run or not as Kasamatsu cracked his knuckles. Truth to be told, except for Momoi, all of them had been hit at least once by Kasamatsu, some more than others, and nobody was keen on experiencing it again; as Mayuzumi had cynically observed, the Captain’s sheer strength was probably the reason why Kise was so stupid: all of his neurons had been brutally killed.
Before Kasamatsu managed to kill anyone, Kiyoshi patted his back and put a hand on his shoulder to keep him down.
“Come on, Kasamatsu,” he smiled cheerfully, “We’ve other things to discuss today, I need them to be conscious.”
The others sighed in relief.
“You can chase them afterward.”
And then died inside.
“You’re the evilest one in this group…” Mayuzumi whispered frowning, as he imperceptibly moved away from Kiyoshi.
Kasamatsu seemed to ponder the offer and finally relaxed, resting both palms on the ground as he slouched in a more comfortable position. Still, he gave his preys a small, warning smirk.
“What are you planning, Kiyoshi-senpai?” Momoi asked, absentmindedly braiding Takao’s hair. Her face clearly showed she already knew, or at least imagine it, but wanted to hear if she was right from him.
“I’d like to organize a match against the Vorpal Swords next weekend, what do you think?” He explained, excitement showing in his eyes.
Mayuzumi cringed internally. He knew! He should have stayed home.
“Against Shin-chan?” Takao beamed, “Count me in!” He was wearing a scheming smile that made Kasamatsu grimace internally.
Himuro shrugged but behind his poker face burned a competitive fire.
“I haven’t played against Taiga in a while…”
“We’re not on their level,” Mayuzumi commented in his matter-of-fact tone.
“What,” Takao immediately replied, “Are you scared, Mayu-chan?”
“You still haven’t recovered from the last defeat against Kuroko?” Himuro rubbed it in.
“Of course not,” the boy bit back, adding colorful curses under his breath, “I’m just saying we need a good plan if we want to beat them,” he growled, before losing any animosity and turning to Momoi.
“We’ll be in your hands, Momoi-san.”
The girl brightened, clapping her hands, “Leave it to me!”
“Be careful,” Takao slyly smirked, “Mayu-chan would love to be literally in your hands!”
“Takao-kun!”
“Takao!” Kasamatsu burst, blushing.
Mayuzumi hit the boy in the face with his, heavy, novel, but the raven was too busy laughing his ass off to care. Momoi, with warm cheeks, pressed the book against his face as to suffocate him until he whined, rolling to hug her waist.
“Don’t be mean Momo-chan!” he childishly complained, burying his head against her stomach.
Mayuzumi felt the need to throw another book.
“You deserve it!” she scolded, trying to peel him off, but he chuckled, tightening his grip until she gave up, throwing her hands up.
“You’re impossible,”
“And still I’m your best friend.”
“Dai-chan is my best friend.”
“He’s the childhood best friend. I’m the smart best friend.”
She would have liked to argue but since it was actually the truth, she just shook her head exasperated, trying to mask a giggle.
“Do you like annoying people or being hit?” Himuro asked Takao, as the boy returned to his original position.
“Tatsu-chan, stop asking dirty questions when the Captain is here,” the raven innocently batted his eyelashes, “What happens in the bedroom is a secret between Shin-chan and me!”
“Oh for the love of-” Kasamatsu nearly combusted
“Disgusting!” Mayuzumi hissed, but only received a wink in reply.
“Okay, okay, let’s stop here,” Kiyoshi intervened suddenly distributing the sweets, “Eat and keep calm, okay?”
Nobody even got angry anymore when he used his parental tone, they all rolled with it and took the treat. If Kasamatsu was the Captain, Kiyoshi was the Dad of the team; it was a silent agreement.
“Kasamatsu-senpai,” Himuro asked politely, “Are you fine with the game? You have time?” His concern seemed sincere for once, so Kasamatsu nodded, relaxing his shoulders.
“Yeah, I finished my assignments for this month.” he explained taking a bit of chocolate, “And, if I have to be honest, I can’t wait to play with the brats and knock some sense into the Dumb Duo.” Kasamatsu clenched his fists with a tense, maniacal smile.
Kiyoshi could have sworn he had seen flames burning behind his friend.
“Oh?” Momoi raised an eyebrow and her eyes sharpened, “He has called you too?”
The others, except for Takao, who hid his mouth to stop a giggle, looked at the two confused.
“It was three in the morning. Three. In. The. Morning.” Kasamatsu growled, trembling from the irritation.
“Dai-chan directly crashed into my room. From the window.”
“Kise kept me on the phone for two hours. When I tried to hang up he threatened to call my roommates.”
“I had a test the next day!”
“I didn’t even want to know all those details about their love life! Why does he even run to me every freaking time?”
“I had to watch with him three basketball matches as he ranted on and on about their stupid argument.”
Kasamatsu and Momoi exchanged an understanding, icy stare.
Mayuzumi sent an interrogative glance at Takao, who mouthed “Aomine and Kise quarreled again.”
He rolled his eyes. Nothing new.
In the meanwhile, the two victims had reached a silent agreement. Funny since at first Kasamatsu couldn’t even look at Momoi without freezing.
“I want to beat their asses and make them feel my pain,” Kasamatsu admitted bluntly.
Momoi nodded, as serious as him.
“Don’t worry, you have me on the team. I’ll have you all crush them. Hard.”
Himuro felt shivers down his back and turned to Kiyoshi, “When she has this look, I think we could really win.”
“Yeah, that’s why I chose her,” Kiyoshi grinned knowingly.
“Then let’s go,” Kasamatsu, now fired up, stood up and stretched. Kiyoshi followed him,  literally emitting satisfaction and happiness.
“Where?” Mayuzumi inquired blankly.
“To train, Mayu-chan,” Takao jumped up, bouncing on his feet, “Captain needs to vent out his stress.”
“You are the one who causes me stress.”
“Not as much as Kise.”
“That’s not a compliment,” Himuro snorted and caught the ball Kiyoshi threw him.
Mayuzumi sighed and was already going to bitch about how he would have preferred to read his book, when a small hand entered his view. He looked up and met Momoi’s gentle smile.
“Let’s go, Mayuzumi-kun!” she chirped, still offering her hand.
A small smile escaped his lips as he took it, standing up next to her.
“Only this time.”
“You always say that,” she replied cheekily.
“Hey lovebirds!” Takao called laughing, already ahead with the others, “Come on!”
“Can I beat him?” Mayuzumi hissed scowling and Momoi chuckled, tugging his sleeve.
“Only at basketball, Mayuzumi-kun, only at basketball.”

REQUESTING THIS BECAUSE I FEEL LIKE NOT ENOUGH PEOPLE GIVE KISE LOVE. SO I'LL BE THE ONE WHO GIVES HIM LOVE. Can I just have anything that revolves around Kise? A Kise day with his friends and his s/o the poor dude seems so happy but everyone always tells him to shut up lol he needs love.
Us Kise fans need to stick together, anon. So I wrote this 3k monster because he needed some love, but somewhere along it the way it devolved into useless comedy…Anyway, I hope you enjoy it ^__^
Onthe day Kise turned twenty, he woke up to sheets of grey rain blanketing thewindows and smothering any hints of sunlight. He rested his chin on his handwith a soft exhale, watching the downpour.
“Well,I guess it could be worse. The day’s only started, right?”
Hisphone chimed to life, ringtone bouncing off the walls of his tiny apartment. Asmile pulled at the corner of his mouth when he saw who it was. “Morning,__-cchi.”
“Ryouta,”you said in a lilting voice that made his smile widen, “guess what?”
“What?”He tilted his head at the mischief in your tone.
“Todayis a super special day. Extra special.”
“Really?”He pressed his fingertips to his mouth to keep the laughter in. “Why?”
“Hmm,you don’t know? Today is the day that the person I love most in the world wasborn. He’s wonderful. He’s kind, he has the most musical laugh, and he nevergives up.”
Kiseleaned back against a pillow, feeling his cheeks heat up. “He sounds like areal catch, ___-cchi. You should keep him.”
“Iknow, right? I won’t share even if you ask nicely. Ah, but you want to knowsomething?”
“Sure?”He could practically see the grin on your face.
“That’snot why I really like him. Those are just excuses.”
Heraised an eyebrow, still amused. “I knew you just liked him for his looks.”
“Ehh,you found me out. Just kidding. See, the thing I love most about him…it’s hissmile.”
Heblinked. Somehow that was not what he expected. “What about it, ___-cchi?”
“Ah,ah, not so quick. Shall I let you in on another secret?”
Hehummed in response, tracing absent minded circles over the patterns on hisduvet.
“Ifthis person looked out the window, they’d see me standing outside their door. And I’d encourage them to let me in before I get fully drenched.”
“Hah?!”He leapt out of bed and threw the window open.
Youwaved up at him cheerfully, tipping your umbrella back. “Open the gate,Ryouta!”
Heducked back in to press a button near the door. Kise threw on a t-shirt andsmoothed his hair back into place just in time to let you in.
Yousmiled at him as you slipped off your shoes. He noted the adorable flushspreading over your face from the exertion of climbing up stairs. You pressed aquick kiss to his jaw. “Happy birthday, Ryouta.”
Incandescenthappiness spread through his chest, as if someone had a lit a string oflanterns to shed a warm glow on his heart. Kise smiled, eyes glowing amber.“Thanks, ___-cchi. What’s in the grocery bag?”
Youheaded into the kitchen as you spoke, setting things down. He watched in vaguebemusement as you commandeered his house. “I’m going to make breakfast whileyou get ready. Sad as it is, you do have classes today.”
Heglanced at the clock and started. “Ahh, you’re right. I won’t take long.”
Youhuffed, finding it ironic. “No offense, but we both know you’ll take a while.Your morning routine is pretty…extensive.”
Hepouted in mock offense. “I have to live up to certain standards, you know.People have expectations.”
Youwaved him away. “Did I say you shouldn’t? I’m grateful for the overwhelmingperfection of my boyfriend. Shoo now.”
Helaughed at that, the sound melodic, and headed for the bathroom. When hereturned, the room was filled with the familiar aromas of miso soup and warmrice. You looked up from rolling an omelette. “Oh, you look good, Kise-kun.”
Hesmirked a little. “Of course, ___-cchi.” He walked over to wrap his arms aroundyour waist, unable to resist. Kise buried his face in your neck, breathing inthe comforting scent.
Youshifted when his nose brushed over a sensitive spot. “That tickles.”
Hedid it again, smiling when you squeaked. “Here?”
“Stopit! I’ll end up dropping a hot pan if you keep doing that. Go set the table, please.”
“Ayeaye, captain.” He set off to do as you ordered, humming a tune he’d heard onthe radio recently. A few minutes later, he found himself seated with asteaming bowl of soup in front of him. “Wow, you really went all out today,___-cchi.”
Younodded gravely. “Yeah, you probably shouldn’t expect it to happen again.”
Hegave you the saddest look he could manage, and he knew it worked when your lipstwitched. “Aww, I was looking forward to it too…”
“Maybeonce in a while,” you grumbled. “Let’s eat now.”
Kisegrinned and dug in. After breakfast, you walked with him till the lawn near hisdepartment came into view. “I’ll see you after class, okay?”
“Mhmm.”He bent to drop a kiss on your hair and was rewarded with a small blush. “Seeya later, ___-cchi.”
Notmany of his classmates seemed to realize it was his birthday, and the daymostly went by as usual until some overzealous fangirls screeched and jumped athim. Heck, Kise didn’t feel any older or different himself. He tried toextricate himself from their enthusiastic congratulations and nearly sighedwith relief when his phone rang.
“Hey,”you said, sounding distinctly uncomfortable, “something’s come up.”
Hisshoulders stiffened with tension. “What’s wrong? Are you hurt?”
“Huh?No, I’m fine. It’s just that I can’t make it for dinner like we planned. I’msorry, Ryouta.”
Kise’sheartbeat slowed from racing to a steadier rhythm. “It’s okay, ___-cchi. Stuffhappens. Let’s just take a rain check on it?”
“I’mreally sorry,” you said miserably. “I’ll make it up to you, I promise.”
“Hmm,I might be tempted to collect on that. Call me when you’re free.” He hung upand sighed again. Well, it wasn’t the ideal thing to hear, but he supposed hecould keep himself occupied. He wondered if Kasamatsu was free to catch up oversome drinks, now that he could drink. Lost in his thoughts, Kise didn’t noticethe person leaning against the wall until they called out to him.
“Oi,Kise!”
Helooked up in surprise. “Aominecchi?”
Aominestrode over, disgruntled in the extreme. “Who else? Come on, let’s go.”
“Wha-where are we going?” Kise sprinted to catch up, bewildered. “Why are you even here,Aominecchi?”
“Whatdo you think? Satsuki gets hung up on these things and I take the brunt of it.It’s on the left.”
Aominestopped in front of a dimly lit storefront, and gestured impatiently. Kiselooked up at the name and frowned. “You’re treating me to…yakiniku?”
“Wecan’t all afford to snack on fancy French food, pretty boy. Go in already, I’mgetting soaked here.”
Kisestepped in reluctantly, spine prickling with foreboding. “Aominecchi, I don’tthink-“
“SURPRISE!”
Lightsburst into existence, a shower of confetti fell from somewhere, and severalcrackers popped simultaneously. Kise blinked rapidly, blinded, and a littleoverwhelmed by it all. “Hi?”
Momoigiggled at his dazed expression. “Happy birthday, Ki-chan! I guess you reallydidn’t catch on at all, huh.”
Heshook his head, amazed by the sheer number of people involved. “Not at all. Ican’t believe- you really planned all this behind my back?”
Kuroko’seyes sparkled. “It is more accurate to say that Momoi-san planned it all, butwe helped a little bit.”
Midorimapushed up his glasses. “You would have known if you had checked your horoscope, nanodayo. Today is a good day for Geminis.”
Kisescanned the room and felt his eyes widen. “Akashicchi and Murasakibaracchitoo?”
Akashi’slips curved slightly. “You’re my friend too, Ryouta.”
Murasakibarabriefly glanced at him. “Happy birthday, Kise-chin. Want a pocky stick?” Heheld out a box in offering.
Kisenumbly took a stick, heart stuttering painfully. “You guys…”
“Forthe love of god, don’t cry,” muttered Aomine. He flopped down at a table with aresigned look. “Congratulations, you can officially get plastered now.”
Kurokoand Momoi sighed in unison and seated themselves on either side of Aomine. Kisesat down opposite them, still in a trance. Murasakibara grumbled quietly as hetried to fold himself into a space that was clearly not built for him. Akashinodded at Midorima and sank down gracefully.
“So,”Kise started, looking around at the enclosed space, “are we expecting morepeople? There’s more empty spaces…”
Momoichecked her watch anxiously. “They should be here soon.”
Oncue, the sliding doors grazed open to admit three people. “What, this isn’t agoukon? I was promised pretty girls. Oh wait, Momoi-san is here.”
Kisewondered if his afternoon coffee had been drugged and this was all an acidtrip. “M-Moriyama-senpai?”
“Theone and only,” came the rejoinder. “Kasamatsu is here too.” The old captainlifted his hand in greeting.
“Yo,Kise.” Kagami had to duck to enter the room. “Happy birthday, dude.”
“Thanks,Kagamicchi.” He rubbed his neck, slightly embarrassed by the sudden surge ofattention. “I’m glad everyone is here, but aren’t we all turning twenty thisyear? It’s not particularly special.”
Momoinodded firmly. “And we’re going to celebrate them all, but yours is here now. It’s special because it’s your birthday, Ki-chan.”
Aominelooked alarmed at the idea, but Akashi gently cleared his throat to interrupt.“Is there anything you’d like to do in particular?”
Kisenarrowed his eyes in thought. “Can I ask for anything?”
“Nothingtoo extreme,” murmured Kuroko, “like looking at photobooks, but otherwise yes.”
“Veryfunny, Kurokocchi. I was going to say-“
“I’mso sorry I’m late!”
Severalpeople looked up in surprise as you skidded into the room, hair mussed andcheeks red. Kise’s eyes lit up. You looked around breathlessly. “There’s a lotof people here…Oh, there you are, Momoi-san.”
Sheclapped her hands together excitedly. “Did you get it?”
Thatwas when he noticed the enormous box in your hands. “Here it is. They justmanaged to finish icing it on time.”
Kiseshuffled to make room for you, and for some reason Moriyama toppled ontoKasamatsu like a domino. A smack and a yelp of pain followed. He linked hisfingers with yours under the table. “Is this why we had to postpone dinner?”
Youput on an expression of innocence. “I have no idea what you mean.”
“Tsktsk, you’re a terrible liar, ___-cchi.” The simmering joy from earlier bubbledup and spilled over, painting his face with a smile.
Momoiwaved to get everyone’s attention. “Let’s cut the cake now! Tetsu-kun, you havethe candles? Good.”
“Ihave the matches,” you volunteered. The room hushed in anticipation as theslender sticks of wax were lit, shadows dancing over Kise’s hair. He hesitated, lips pursed.
“Sa-chin,do we have to sing? I don’t want to.” Murasakibara broke into the silence witha bored query.
Kagamisniggered, and the strange tension abruptly dissipated. Momoi heaved along-suffering sigh. “Fine. No singing. Ki-chan, just blow out the candlesalready.”
Later,Kise could say he remembered the cake, but not much after the sake appeared. Atsome point everyone got frosting smeared onto them, and Murasakibara tried tolick some off Midorima, much to the latter’s horror. He wasn’t entirely surewhen they ended up in the karaoke place, but it made him happy in ways hecouldn’t fully describe. Karaoke was one of his favorite things to do, afterall. It was always revealing new and unexpected to people.
“Okay,”he said, the words bubbly, “who wants to go first?”
“Youshould go, Kise,” suggested Kasamatsu. “Birthday boy gets first dibs.”
“Nah,I want to hear everyone else sing. That’s what I’m going use to my pass for.”
Therewas less protest than he expected, surprisingly. After a few drinks, everyonewas a lot more susceptible to suggestion. Kise made sure to keep the beerflowing. You smiled at Momoi in conspiracy, certain that your shared sobriety wouldlead to a great deal of amusement. She winked and sat back to watch thefireworks.
“Then,I’ll go first.” Everyone blinked in a stupor as Akashi elegantly strode up tothe stage. He mused over the selection, humming in thought. One eye suddenlyglinted. “Ah, this one.”
Astrangely countrified guitar twang filtered out of the speakers. Kuroko tilted hishead. “That’s a very old song, isn’t it?”
Kagamiand Aomine snorted in unison when they recognized the song. You bit your lip, struggling to keep a straight face. Akashi’s tenor was strangely suited toNancy Sinatra’s husky voice.
“Hasanyone actually ever seen Akashi wear boots?” Moriyama looked highly confused.
Whenthe last notes of the music drained away, the machine beeped a perfect score.Akashi looked around the room. “Who’s next? Atsushi?”
“Nope,give it to Sa-chin.”
Momoiblinked as the mic was handed to her and looked up at you. “Sing with me?”
Yousnickered when you saw her song selection. “The Boy is Mine? Are we aiming forsomeone in particular?”
Shejust smiled mysteriously and you made a mental note to ask Kise about it later. It went well enough, even if Momoi had a higher pitch than was ideal, and you misseda few beats.
“Yay,an eighty! Tetsu-kun, try and beat that!”
Kurokoshook his head. “Momoi-san, I’m not-“
“Aww,Kurokocchi.” Kise gave him a disappointed look. “Come on.”
Kurokowent up to the stage reluctantly and closed his fingers around the mic. Kagamigrinned. “Hey, Kuroko, sing the one that’s your ringtone.”
Heblanched, but it was too late. Momoi had already punched it into the consolewith an evil smile. Aomine thrust a glass at him. “Here, a shot for courage.Man up, Tetsu.”
Kurokodowned the liquid and took a deep breath. “I wish I could disappear,” hemuttered as the first bars of the piano tinkled out.
“Yousaid that into the mic, nanodayo.”
Momoisquealed as Kuroko began the most monotone rendition of Let it Go Kise had ever heard. You smiled happily and drummed yourfingers on the table. Kasamatsu hid a grin behind his hand. It was collectivelythe most adorable thing Kise had seen all year.
Kurokothrust the mic out when he was done, face pink. “You next, Aomine-kun.”
Aomineswaggered up to the mic, limbs languid with alcohol-induced confidence. Hesquinted at the screen before jabbing a few buttons. A horribly familiarpulsing drone started up and even Kise flinched in remembrance. Moriyama’s jawwent slack. “You can’t be serious,” he breathed.
Whenthe music hit the first chorus, Aomine’s sonorous timbre unrepentantly beltingout the lyrics, everyone was cringing in various degrees. “This is…interesting,”said Akashi.
“Someonemake it stop,” Kise begged. You buried your face in his side, shouldersshaking. “I don’t want to know anything about saddles or ponies.”
“Singsomething else, Ahomine!”  Kagami had hishands clapped over his ears and eyes screwed shut.
“Urgh, fine. Satsuki, pick something else.” Momoi poked a button, expression flat.
Youexhaled in surprise when Aomine picked up the melody effortlessly. “He’s got agood voice…”
Kisenodded in agreement. Aomine did a decent Elvis impression, and it was oddlymoving. “I’ll be yours through the years, huh?”
“Hmm,a ninety-five. Not bad. But I’m sure Yukio here can do better.” Moriyama shovedhis friend onto the stage.
Aominescoffed. “The only one who can beat me is…hang on, Akashi already got a perfectscore.”
“Youcan do it, senpai!” Kise cheered.
Kasamatsulooked incredibly uncomfortable, but he took the proffered mic. He ruffled hishair nervously. “Okay, here goes.”
Kisehad another pleasant surprise as Kasamatsu launched into a soulful, raspyversion of Hey There Delilah. Younodded appreciatively. “That’s a classic.”
Herested his chin on his hand to watch his senior finish the song. This birthdaywas turning out to be far more memorable than Kise had ever anticipated. “I have such good friends,” hewhispered to himself.
Youglanced at him and went back to watching the unfolding chaos. Kasamatsu pushedthe mic at Kagami. The redhead coloured and shrank back. “M-me? Really?”
Moriyamastraightened. “Let’s do one together, Kagami-kun.” After a hushed discussion,Kagami seemed to make up his mind.
Thewhole room sat up as a famously infamous guitar opening rocked the speakers. EvenMidorima looked up in interest. Akashi’s eyes sparkled in amusement.
Youwent back to laughing into Kise’s shoulder as Moriyama and Kagami begansinging, in the barest sense of the word. “Oh dear, is that like…a pun?”
Hebit his cheek to keep from joining you. “I don’t know, ___-cchi. Tiger…Taiga…maybe.Okay, it definitely is.”
Kagamilooked immensely relieved when the song ended. “I like that one, but I don’tthink I’m meant to be singing it,” he admitted.
“Iagree whole-heartedly,” said Midorima primly.
“Andnow it’s Midorin’s turn!” announced Momoi happily. Aomine grinned inanticipation.
“Iwill not take part in this-“ Midorima trailed off with a sigh when Kise andMomoi both shot him disapproving looks.
“It’sonly the once, Shintarou,” Akashi said calmly. “It will do no harm.”
Kisewaved his hand at them. “How about we do a group song this time andMidorimacchi can be the lead?”
Whichis how the whole room found itself clapping in the time to a ditzy song, withMidorima grimly extolling the virtues of the YMCA. Murasakibara joined in thechorus, occasionally blearily lifting his hands with the music. “Young man, Iwas once in your shoes,” yodelled Moriyama.
Youcollapsed into a hysterical heap on the floor at that, and Kise tried to catchyou but went down instead. “Oh god,” you gasped, “we better put an end to thisor I’m going to die of asphyxiation.”
“Youcan’t die on my birthday, ___-cchi,” he scolded, though he secretly agreed. SomehowAkashi managed to calm everyone enough to get them to go home. Kise watchedthem all wave goodbye with a fond smile and then turned to you.
“Doyou want to stay over at mine?” He watched you through half-lidded eyes, waiting.
Youbit your lip and nodded. “Sure. Someone needs to get you home safely anyway.”
Whenhe stepped out of the building, the rain was so thick he could barely see infront of him. You tugged on his sleeve and gave him a mischievous grin. “Yourhouse is only a couple of blocks away, right? Let’s just run for it.”
Whenthe both of you finally reached his door, panting, a pool of water formedaround your feet. “I hope we don’t catch a cold tomorrow,” he worried, huntingfor his key in his pocket.
Youshook your hair, spraying him with water. “Then it’s an excuse to skip class together.”
Hewaited until you had entered to press you against the door. Kise had his lipsfitted to yours before you could take a breath. He drank in the crystallinetaste of rainwater, sake and something uniquely you, addicted and desperate formore.
“Ryouta,”you murmured, breathless again. “We’re still drenched.”
Hekissed you again to silence your feeble protests, mouth moving softly overyours. Kise lifted his head after a moment to ghost his breath over your ear. “Younever told me, you know.”
“Toldyou what?” You hooked your arms around his neck, pulling him closer.
“Whatyou liked about my smile.” He nipped your ear gently and smirked when youshuddered.
“That’sbecause…it’s mine.” You smiled and pressed a small kiss to his nose.
“Ohhhh,___-cchi is possessive. I like it.” His fingers found the edge of your shirtand began toying with it.
Yourolled your eyes and dragged him towards you again. “Whatever you say, Ryouta. It is your birthday, after all.”

[Saturday. 12:49. Forgive Me ]
All good things must come to an end, as the smitten public in this café know all too well; they look on tearfully, sighing with collective disappointment when the dangerously good-looking pair finally take their leave. Though they depart now, perhaps the beauties will one day return to grace the shop once more with their presence...one can only hope.
"Th-thank you for your patronage! Please come again!!!"
Back out on the street, Momoi and Kise get ready to part ways.
"Geez, that Dai-chan...he actually took off," Momoi sighs, shaking her head apologetically. It's not like she hadn't been expecting this, but come on. At this rate, she'll have to leave it to Ki-chan, and though Momoi gets it, she's concerned the model may be too consumed with thoughts of Tetsu-kun and the game to give Dai-chan a proper 'challenge' (so to speak).
...Or not. One side glance at Kise's profile is enough to dispel most of Momoi's worries: yeah, that's a nice expression he's got there.
"Oh, I doubt he's gone far," the model mutters in an uncharacteristically dark tone, staring fixedly on something in the distance. After a pause, he snaps his gaze back momentarily to Momoi and flashes her one last farewell grin.
"Thanks for today, Momocchi. I'm sure we'll talk soon."
"Take care, Ki-chan!"
Momoi waves goodbye, then turns to start walking in the opposite direction.
A large part of her hopes that Ki-chan succeeds in coming through to Tetsu-kun tonight, but....well, realistically....
It takes her a solid half hour to reach her next destination, as she makes a point of dipping through back alleys and secret short cuts to get to the more unsavoury part of this cesspool of a city.
Finally, at the end of a long string of dilapidated buildings and deserted houses, lies an old, rundown Catholic church. Judging from the shattered stain glass windows, the vulgar graffiti splattered across the walls, and the layers of grime that have accumulated around the grounds, it would appear that this church hasn't been in use for a long, long time.
After a quick check of her surroundings (doesn't look like she's been followed), Momoi pushes past the heavy oak wood doors and enters the building.
The air inside is dusty and stale, as expected, the floor littered with dirt, cobwebs, and is...that a dirty condom?  Not to mention the rat that Momoi's pretty sure is crawling out by the long-unused altar...still, she's too struck with a wave of nostalgia to be particularly bothered.
Even all dark and abandoned, places like these always remind her of the old days, with Tetsu-kun and Dai-chan, when the three of them would sneak out and hide between the pews of the orphanage chapel a lifetime ago...
A small cough from the far left side  interrupts Momoi's sentimentality, a signal to the information broker that it's time for an update.
She takes a seat in the confessional booth, and as she does so, the screen between compartments slides open.
"Sakurai-kun. What an interesting rendez-vous point you chose. But did we have to talk through the confessional, or-"
"S-sorry. I didn't want to be followed so I... and, in case anyone sees...in any case I'm really sorr-"
"O-oh, no, no it's fine. So? What do you have for me?"
"Sorry. She ended up taking the bait, but before I could do anything, some third party group moved in and attacked."
Whoah whoah whoah.
What.
"Sor-...I mean, what's this?"
"I'M SORRY. I'm really really sorry."
"No, it's okay, Sakur-"
"-So sorry-"
"It's oka-"
"Sorry. I didn't plan ahead for that kind of situation."
"It's not your fault, you don't need to apolo-"
"SORRY. I DIDN'T CONTACT YOU EARLIER BECAUSE THE INCIDENT MADE ME PARANOID AND I WAITED TO MAKE SURE I WASN'T BEING FOLLOWED, SO I'M SORRY I AM WORTHLESS AND INCOMPETENT"
Having to deal with the likes of Aomine for about two decades has certainly helped Momoi develop a hardy patience, but she isn't sure she'll ever be advanced enough to properly handle the mess that is alias Sakurai Ryou.
"Sakurai-kun, you didn't do anything wrong. Is there anything else you can tell me about what happened?"
"Sorry. There was another guy with her, he looked kind of stupid. Got shot in the right shoulder."
"A subordinate?"
"Most likely."
"How's Aida, then?"
"They clipped her, but she was able to drive away in time."
"And the assailants, what did they look like?"
"They drove past in a black SUV, I couldn't get a proper look. I'm sorr-"
" You did a good job, I'll look into the rest of that later today and contact you after that. Thanks for your hard work!"
Momoi escapes before Sakurai takes the opportunity to squeeze another hundred apologies.
What a troubling development...
Could it be something to do with Muk-kun's news earlier this morning, or is it something else entirely....?
Whoever it is, how dare they get in the way of her fight with Aida Riko. Since Ki-chan's working hard tonight, Momoi must also step her game up.
Speaking of Ki-chan...Momoi wonders how Dai-chan is holding up...
[Saturday. 13:03. Just So We're Clear, That Is A Gun In My Pocket And I'm Not Happy To See You]
By the time Aomine realizes the warm weather is getting to him, he's already made it halfway home, with his shirt clinging to the sweaty skin of his back, and his head and throat suffering from sharp dehydration pains. Probably should have reconsidered walking home under this sun in a black shirt, but it's too late for regrets now.
For some reason, Aomine was too preoccupied to notice all this until now.
Luckily, an oasis in the form of a vending machine is close at hand. Aomine heads straight to it, rifling through his pants' pockets for loose change. He wants Aquarius, but what kind should he get...
Aomine slips the money through a slot, and presses the button for his desired sports drink, and...
Hm. Presses it again.
....one more time.
.................six more times, very rapidly.
Inhales deeply, then tries another button. Nothing.
Okay. If that's how things are going to be, then it's time to change tactics. Gripping either side of the vending machine, Aomine begins channeling his rapidly- growing rage through his hands. He gets in a ready stance, about to show this damned contraption exactly who it's dealing with.
However, before Aomine even has the chance to engage in battle, a hand suddenly reaches under his arm and makes a selection.
A bottle of mineral water immediately drops down from its holding place, and the difference in change rattles out: transaction complete.
".....................Goddamnit Kise.."
"Hey, Aominecchi~. Long time no see."
Ahh..
That voice...this is a hundred times worse than he imagined it would be.
Aomine turns around, dark blue eyes narrowed menacingly to glower at the real fucking problem beaming back at him.
"'Hey~' my ass. Do you wanna die? You'd better buy me my drink right now."
"Ehhhh?? That's what you have to say aft-...ah ! He walked away! Aoooomineeeecchiiii waiiit!!!"
There's a bench sitting under the shade of a bus stop some fifty meters away, and this is where Aomine waits, legs outstretched, for Kise to catch up.
There's really no chance of running away now, huh...
No non ono . What? It's not like that. It's ..not. Like. That.
Before Aomine has the chance to settle his thoughts, Kise is already bouncing back, equipped with a clear plastic bottle.
"Here!" the model chirps, tossing the drink into the air for Aomine to catch. He remains standing, siding himself next to the bench...close enough that Aomine can smell the faint scent of his cologne.
"Tch. Why'd you get me lemon flavour..."
"You left before telling me what you wanted!"
Aomine freezes. Hearing Kise say those words, even out of context and in that playful, pouty tone, is momentarily jarring, for reasons he doesn't fully want to understand. He recovers quickly by twisting the top off his blissfully cool bottle and drains half the contents in one go.
"Oh, you're drinking it anyways..."
"So?  What do you want."
The corners of Kise's mouth twitch, and he leans his shoulder against the metal post next to the bench before responding:
"....You were there earlier, right?"
Geh.
"This is the first time in years Aominecchi has come close to me, of course I'm going to take the opportunity to see you."
Ah fuck.
Aomine shifts, so that his body is facing slightly away from Kise, and flips the bottle in his hand nonchalantly.
"Ah, that? Don't misunderstand. It's because Satsuki told me-"
A silence ensues, long enough for Kise to move closer to Aomine, tilting his head to the side expectantly for the rest of the explanation.
"-Because Satsuki told me to do it............By the way, what's with the glasses? They look stupid?"
Nailed it.
"Oh, these?" Kise taps the red frames, golden eyes blinking innocently as he tries to adjust to the abrupt subject change.
"My manager told me to try and hide my face when I'm out during the day, otherwise the fangirls get too much-"
"UGH"
God, the earnest way he answered is annoying in itself, but more importantly: what, is he Midorima to seriously think that throwing on a pair of glasses counts as a disguise?
"I want my concern back..."
"Hmmm?! What's this, Aominecchi was worried about me?"
"Huh, who'd be concerned about a fucking idiot."
"sob.....Aominecchi..."
There's a sudden lightness in Aomine's chest, as if a weight has been pried off him. Though he'd rather die than admit it, he wonders if  perhaps this is relief from the knowledge that in spite of everything, Kise's stupid brightness hasn't dimmed out. Even if it's a false light, the familiarity of this banter alone is somehow ....comforting.
Carried away by this rush of this strange new feeling, the (more-or-less unemployed) fighter opens his mouth to speak...
"Kise-"
...only to be interrupted by the untimely buzzing of Kise's phone. Fucking classic.
"Ah sorry Aominecchi, can you hold that thought? I need to take this."
The model steps aside, casting an rueful look at Aomine as he raises the phone to his ear.
" Heyaaaaa P-chan <3.  It's so unusual for you to call me!!"
.............Who is he talking to?
Aomine looks away and swallows the rest of his sports drink, ignoring Kise as he chatters away into his phone. No, no, no, the false light is flashy and annoying, after all.
Hpmh.
"Ehhh? Right now? Well, if it's P-chan it's okay, but you'll have to take me to karaoke to make up for it! Ok ok, see you soon."
The model hangs up with a small sigh, then perks up again, raising two fingers in a V.
"Sorry, Aominecchi, looks like I have to go~. Let's catch up another time?"
"Yeah, yeah, whatever. Bye."
Kise turns to go, and as he does so, the silver chain around his neck lifts up from the movement, and the cross at the end catches a flash of sunlight.
"Ao...minecchi?"
By the time his mind catches up to his body, which moved of its own accord, Aomine becomes painfully aware that he's gripping Kise's wrist.
Ahhh.......no going back now, huh.
[Saturday. 14:00. ..........]
"....................................-"
"Mi.....tobe?"
"!!!!............."
"AHaa aww hey...so it must have been you I heard calling out to me..."
"......................."
"Hey, hey, don't say that. This is nothing, I'm totally fin- *cough* - fine. Oooh that smarts..."
"................................"
"'You should've been there' ..?  Oiii. Riko gave you an important mission, right, so like, there's no way that's tru-"
"................."
"Mitobe..?"
"........"
"Yeah....me too."
[Saturday. 14:10. Obligatory Indirect Kiss Moment]
"Aaaaah, all that hard work today's made me hungry. Let's stop in here, Muro-chin."
Himuro isn't sure what part of curb stomping a couple of two-bit thugs, sleeping for another six hours, then dragging said thugs halfway across the city to go appliance shopping constitutes as 'hard work', but it's fine. At least that business is done and over with (the installation people are coming tomorrow to restore peace to the Araki safehouse once more).
He follows Murasakibara through the convenience store entrance, pretty worn out himself by the events of the past 24 hours; all he has to show for today's efforts are a massive bruise and a deep sense of dissatisfaction.
Well, not everything is bad; spending time with Atsushi outside like this is nice in its own way.
Murasakibara's fearsome stature attracts attention no matter where he goes, but he's especially eye-catching when in the proximity of snacks. It takes under a minute for the killer to burn through half the store, returning to Himuro already cradling an obscene amount of food in his right arm.
"Was it really alright that we left those two guys like that in the end... you know, you're too brutal, Atsushi" Himuro scolds, accepting the bag of potato chips Murasakibara is trying to place into his hands (what's this? He needs help?? There's actually a limit to how much food Atsushi can carry???) as they head towards the freezers.
"Ehhhhhhhh, isn't Muro-chin way more violent than me?" Murasakibara drawls, extracting four boxes of popsicles at once with his free hand.
In light of today's events, and the events of many a time in the past, Himuro finds himself unable to deny this; Atsushi makes a fair point.
At the cashier, they encounter a dead-looking employee that doesn't so much as flinch at Murasakibara's mountain of snacks. Himuro can't help but feel impressed by the youth, whose dull eyes have seen Too Much from working in convenience store retail.
Ten plastic bags later, and they're out the door again.
"So, about that...." Himuro starts, speaking over his shoulder as Murasakibara comes up behind him, rustling through his purchases to open a bag of candy.
"I did something unnecessary, right? It feels like my meeting with Haizaki Shougo somehow set him off..."
Murasakibara rips the wrapper off a lollipop with his teeth, sucks on the candy pensively for a moment before taking it out of his own mouth and slipping it between Himuro's unsuspecting lips.
"Mmmmm, I think that guy getting involved was pretty inevitable. Anyways, it's Kise-chin's problem now, so Muro-chin definitely shouldn't worry about it."
Strawberry flavour. Still warm from Atsushi's mouth- ah, no, focus, Himuro. Focus.
"Kise...oh, Ryouta. He's another one of you 'Miracles', yeah?"
"Mmmhmm. He'll probably be first coming after your Kagami Taiga, so if you want-"
A shadow crosses over Murasakibara's abruptly displeased face, and the veritable giant grabs Himuro's hand and begins to pull him into a quick pace away from the convenience store.
"Atsushi? What's wrong?"
Murasakibara checks his shoulder, then mutters:
"If we stay any longer, we're gonna run into someone reeeeally annoying. I'll tell Muro-chin everything, so let's just get out of here."
Himuro doesn't have a single complaint with this arrangement.
[Saturday. 14:24. Someone Reeeeally Annoying]
"Don't laugh, Takao!"
"Ahahaa I'm cr-..ahh, Shin-chan, I'm crying ahahhaaa. That thief just ... ahahhaa...to you of all people...and took your bag...do they know they fucking stole a stuffed mouse like.. what're they going to do with that? .... i can't.....owww my stomach hurts."
"Don't be so loud. And this is a serious problem, my life is in danger if I don't have my lucky item with me, this is no time to be laughing!"
"Aha, I know, I know. Let's stop in this store first, I'll call someone to deliver you a new taxidermy    mouse..... I can't believe I just said that out loud, I'm gonna pee my pants..."
"TAKAO!!!"
"Ooh, watch your step, Shin-chan, you almost walked right into that pothole. Jeez, you weren't kidding about the bad luck."
"I am not in the habit of 'kidding'"
"Haha ohhh Shin-chan."
[Saturday.15:01. Pure]
What's Riko supposed to do when she's hard-pressed for information on a large, mostly unknown enemy, but the person to whom she delegated the task of finding certain crucial facts is currently kneeling at Koganei's bedside, fingers intertwined with Koga's own as the two of them snooze together peacefully in spite of the urgency of the situation?
[Saturday. 18:33.  Resolve]
Kise shivers.
Carefully, so as not to rouse the peacefully-sleeping P from her slumbers, he stands up from the edge of the bed and checks the time: still a bit too early, huh?
The model sighs and looks down at the inside of his right arm; the place where Aomine had grabbed him to pull him back still burns with the memory of the touch.
In the end, the other man had just hurriedly scrawled a 7 digit phone number onto Kise's forearm and sauntered off with the flippant parting words: "I guess I can take one for the team and listen to you ugly cry after you fail tonight. See ya."
How very like Aominecchi, this brash, roundabout kindness. Kise had thought his original intention in approaching Aomine was to force him into acknowledging him, but now the model is not so sure. Rather than settling a score or being noticed, this is more like...
Kise presses his hand against his chest and takes a deep breath.
This feels good: whether it's playing with everyone again, this business with Kurokocchi, that business with Aominecchi, his modeling, his other jobs, even the lovely P-chan over here... there's a thrill here, a sense of life.
That's why he's not going to let anyone take this feeling away from him.
Not again.
[Saturday.19:11.  Jealousy Is An Ugly Thing, Dorothy]
Haizaki Shougo is in what some people might refer to as a 'bad mood."
He shakes his right hand out, flicking off some of the blood dripping from his scraped knuckles. Seems like the usual form of stress relief isn't working.
Meeting Atsushi's Ichimatsu doll has lead him to some pretty annoying information (...and speaking of which, as if that fucking one-eyed doll had the nerve to leave without putting up a proper fight? The fuck, so boring.) and now Haizaki has to take care of this shit all over again.
Isn't it embarrassing, the way the so-called 'Miracles' are all still repeating the same bullshit as when they were brats? Playing their shitty 'games' again, hyped up on a sense of superiority while hiding from how fucked up their lives really are...it's pathetic.
And then there's that fucking Ryooooouta.
Haizaki licks off some of the blood off his thumb, smiling a little in spite of himself.
There's no doubt in his mind that the new development has caused that bitch to get ahead of himself again.
If it isn't Haizaki's job to put him back in his place, then what is?
[Saturday. 19:25. Danger: Do Not Cross]
"Uhhmm, Seijuro-kun...haha.. this is not.. what we agreed on.."  Client Xy stutters with an unpleasant laugh, openly agitated. He mops a bit of sweat off his forehead with the white handkerchief crumpled in his hand.
Akashi closes his right eye and regards the man in the seat across from him with a silent, piercing golden-orange gaze. His legs are crossed, and the only movement he makes is the tapping of a closed folding fan rhythmically against his knee.
Pitiable, how little it takes for Xy to start snapping under the pressure.
"I mean, really, Seijuro-kun, I thought the Akashi syndicate wasn't affiliated with the yakuza? If I'd known, I never would have...I have a hard time believing your father would-"
Akashi gives one final tap before holding the black fan out in his slender fingers in gesture.
"My father," he begins softly, with eerie temperance.
"No longer has any control over my business."
He does not elaborate, and Xy is at least wise enough to let that one go.
"It's just, n-no one told me you were going to get the Araki clan involved in this," he continues, trying to speak indignantly, which would be more convincing if he wasn't covered in nervous sweat.
"Is that why you sent me such a pleasant surprise last night?"
"W-what are you talking about?"
"Oh? Perhaps your men were the ones from last Thursday, my mistake. It is difficult for me to keep track of all the disobedience."
This is Akashi's idea of a joke: he doesn't make mistakes, and it's not difficult for him to keep track of anything, because he is perfect.
"Now l-listen, I don't know what you're insinuating, but if it's the case that others have been retaliating, maybe you shouldn't be so full of yours-EEP"
Xy's blathering is cut off quite suddenly as Akashi flicks his fan open, revealing it to be an ornate tessen.
"Do you understand, Mr. Xy, that the only reason you are still breathing is because I am gracious enough to allow it? You are useful to me, but not so useful that I will tolerate any more insolence from you or anyone else."
It's unclear whether Akashi's surprise weapon or his unyielding glare is more threatening. Either way, Xy looks like he's about to pass out.
"Though it may not be to your liking, I believe you will find I am complying with every detail of our arrangement. Should you test me, or question my methods again, I will not show mercy a second time."
Mercy isn't exactly the right word, and Client Xy gets that. He really does. Akashi Seijuro has a role for him to play, and he's in too deep to back out now, for fear of ending up having to choose between dying in the ocean or the mountains. Or whatever happened to the 'pleasant surprise' he actually did send out to Akashi the other day.
Fucking kids these days are horrifying.
Naturally, Xy stumbles out of Akashi's residence as fast as his legs, jellied from fear, can carry him, leaving Akashi alone in this cold empty home once more.
After sitting in silence for a couple minutes, Akashi blinks several times and pulls out a shogi board from the living room table.
[Saturday. 20:07. A Date...???]
"Kagami-kun," Kuroko begins, regarding the heir's handstand pushup routine with an inscrutable look in his eyes. The consequent reveal of chiseled abdominal muscles from gravity pulling Kagami's black shirt down is not going unnoticed.
How troublesome.
"Not that I am complaining, but you have not expressed a single wish to go outside today."
"Yeah, so?" Kagami grunts, tucking his right hand against his back and balancing his whole weight on the left. A bead of sweat rolls down his temple.
"Not like I have anything to do out there, anyways."
"Is that so? You were pretty adamant about being 'freed'. Are you sure there is no one you would like to visit, at all?  I can always make arrangements..."
"Who would I even visit?" the heir mutters, slowly returning his feet to solid ground, and straightening himself back up to a standing position. His cheeks are still a little red from all the blood rushing to his face.
"I've only been living here for a couple of months, it's not like I really know anyone besides Aida's men... and you, I guess."
"...................."
".....w....why are you looking at me like that?"
"How sad. That the young master is unable to make any frien-"
"Sh-shut up, Kuroko!"
Oh dear. Teasing Kagami is far too easy. Truly, the young heir is a pleasant surprise in many ways.
"Then, did you want to go out anyways?"
"Huh?"
Kuroko gestures to the door with his thumb.
"That burger place we went to yesterday....I liked the vanilla shakes."
Taiga stares down at Kuroko for a few moments with his double-brows furrowed, as if processing the bodyguard's words, then grins.
"Fuck yeah, let's go."
It's almost certainly too dangerous to be wandering about at night in these trying times (Kuroko has no doubt at least one of the main players will make their move tonight), but the bodyguard finds that, aside from the initial objective of wanting to bait the enemy, he there's also these knew sentiments coming up: Taiga clearly doesn't have it easy, but he's so strong-willed and bright that Kuroko can't help but want to see him shine brighter.
His determination is now absolute: Kagami Taiga will be protected, at any cost. This does not impede Kuroko's initial objective; rather, it serves to strengthen his will with no regrets.
"Yes, let's go."
[Saturday. 20:10. Hello?]
"I'm going on ahead," Kagami calls over his shoulder, shoving his hands into his pockets as he heads towards the elevators. He presses the down button and waits, feeling strangely excited.
Honestly, he had thought that this personal bodyguard bullshit was just Aida making him suffer, and even though Kuroko is still infuriating and a little spooky, Kagami finds himself thinking it might not be such a bad arrangement after all. He's interesting, to say the least. And it's true, Kagami hasn't spoken one on one with people outside Aida's circle lately, so it's ...well. Fun.
The light above the elevator lights up with a PING, and Kagami steps forward as the doors slide open.
But he can't move.
Every nerve in his body tenses up, as if to brace itself from the sensation of overwhelming bloodlust suddenly aimed directly at him. Something like a glint of gold flashes by him, and the sensation fades just as quickly as it had appeared.
Heart pounding in his chest, Kagami looks around, alarmed, but is only surrounded by empty halls.
The elevator doors close shut.
Kagami's trained ears hear nothing save for the sound of his own breathing. And yet, he's sure there was something...someone there.
What the hell is this? Could it be-
"Kuroko-?"
"Guess again <3"
Notes from AO3: i hope one day Momoi and Kise return to that coffee shop with Himuro, thus completing the trifecta of KNB in-universe beauty queens. Tho I'm not sure it's safe for the innocent public if that trio ever gets together...
naturally, by the time this ever happens, Ahomine will have riko to join him in jealously watching from the safe distance of the noodle shop. such is the fate of irritable possessive people whose love interests are far too popular and carefree.
also RIP muro and midorima in every bit i write for them, ever lol sorry you two i always make you suffer
THANKS AGAIN FOR READING I HOPE YOU ENJOYED AND WILL CONTINUE READING THIS SILLY STORY OF MINE

Hi, could I request Kise having an unhealthy relationship with his s/o, probably because she's too insecure and a bit too clingy for his type (Kise's personality as a Gemini has a lot to say about him) and Kise has somewhat lost interest in her, but he stays anyway coz he feels guilty he might break her if he leaves? Lots of angst please, make it hurt~ lol thank you ^^
Hi dear! HereI am. I already say that I’ve exaggerated with this one, the angst is real. This is an unhealthy relationship, borderline abusive. I couldn’t even bring myself to write it in firstperson, I’m sorry. To all my readers: pleaseremember two important things. 1) Girlscan be as abusive as boys 2) Psychological abuse is still abuse and doesn’thurt less than physical one. Blackmailing someone, in any way, to stay with youis a form abuse. It’s difficult to realize that your relationship is toxic, even more bringing an end to it. Please, if you are in one, ask for help. Youneed it. An unhealthy relationship damages both of you, yes even the one whoforces it. Ask for help, to anyone. You need to break it off before it becomes areal abuse or something worse.

Toxic
“Oi Kise! Whatdo you mean you can’t come?” Aomine protested through the phone
The blond sighed heavily, seated sloppily on the couchof his apartment. He had dark bags under his eyes and he was wearing baggysweatpants with a t-shirt. His usual shine was nowhere to be found.
“I can’t Aominecchi. I’m sorry, Iknow I promised Iwas going to play with you this weekend. Say the others I’m sorry too.”He replied tiredly, closinghis eyes. He had sent a text to avoid that but obviously,Aomine had to be a good friend and call him.
“It’s been more than a monthfrom the last time you hanged out to play, you fucker!” he growledangrily, before he inhaled sharply, “Is that psychopath of yourgirlfriend?”
Kise bit his bottom lip and clenched his fist aroundthe phone.
“She’s not…a psychopath,” he murmured, feeling alreadysuffocated by his own words.
“Bullshit! That girl is killing you, she can’t control you like that!”
“She’s just insecure,” he chewed out that answer evenif he could feel his breath accelerating and his mind screaming, “And she needsme, Aominecchi. She needs me,” He repeated to persuade Aomine and himself atthe same time. That what he repeated himself every day to go on.
The other boy remained silent for some seconds.
“Do you even loveher?” he asked dryly.
Kise gulped. In the last month, they had had similar conversationsover and over. They argued every time Kise canceled their plans at the lastminute or every time he called his best friend because he needed to hear thevoice of someone else. Someone who’s out of the prison of his daily life. School, practice, photoshoot and then with his girlfriend. Girlfriend who was also inhis same class, who came to watch his practice, matches, and who also waitedfor him during his work.
It was suffocating. It was slowly killing him.
He needed to be free.
To be able to enjoy life.
To smile, to laugh, to play with his friends.
And how did he end up like that?
“She needs me, Aominecchi.” He avoided answering, breathing heavily as he tried to steel his resolution. But he was tired, tired, tired.
“Stop givingme this crap! Answer me or I’m gonna beat the shit out of you!”
Kise felt his eyes prickling for the first time in along time and his throat was closed, but he had enough. He couldn’t take allthose lies anymore, he needed to tell someone the truth. Not to change things, just to…share that burden. Because he was crumbling under it.
“I… I can’t take it anymore.” His voice broke, as hecurled up and let the words flow, “She doesn’t want me to go anywhere alone andwe have to hole up inside my apartment. I’m not allowed to talk to otherpeople, not only girls, or she’s going to cry and pout. She always threatens tohave panic attacks or feeling like fainting or other things if I don’t do what shewants. She says I’m the only one who can save her from her depression, that shecan’t do it alone. I can’t even like her anymore, she’s just too muchAominecchi.”
“Ryouta,” Aomineswitched to his name, serious and firm, “You have to break up with her.”
Kise shook his head and wiped away the tears, forcinga sour smile.
“I can’t. I can’t,” hemurmured desperately, “She’s going tobreak Aominecchi. She’s going to…Lord, I don’t evenknow but it’s going to be my fault. Only mine. I shouldn’t have accepted herconfession.”
“Ryo-“
“But everything seemed fine at first! She was just abit shy and affectionate, she explained me that she was a bit insecure and hadsome self-esteem’s issues, but I thought I could help her! I thought it wasalright, I was happy! We were! Then she started to change, she started tobecome jealous and frail; she didn’t want to leave my side, said that she wasuncomfortable with all my friends and that she felt like dying when I was away.If I try to argue she closes herself in the bathroom for hours or threatens to cuther arms or cries for hours. She doubts every word I say, she checks my socialand my phone. It’s like she’s going to die if I’m not with her! She’s serious Aominecchi, you should see her…I have nightmares about it…”
Kise didn’t know anymore what to do. He was tired. Hewas scared. He felt powerless. Trapped. Caged.
“Ryouta.” Aominehad to use all of his self-control not to start growling and yelling at him, “Thisis not healthy. In any way. She’s suffocating you and this relationship isruining her too. You know this is not going to last forever.”
“I can wait until she’s fi-”
“She’s nevergoing to be fine Kise! Fuck!” he cursed exasperated, “She has chained you, butshe’s not free either. This is toxic. If you have to break her heart, break it.Now.”
Kise froze. He knew Aomine was right. He knew. But hewas so scared of what she could do if he did it…
“What if she-” tried to protest, but his friend shuthim up.
“That’s notyour problem.” He sharply hissed, “She’s to learn to deal with it and needs thehelp of someone else, probably a professional. She’ll recover, but not with you.”
Kise wasn’t sure about it. The images of her crying, fainting, curling up, having panic attack and screaming for him to help… hauntedhim. What if she never recovered?
“I don’t know, I don’t know, I don’t know…”
“You’ve triedto save her, but you couldn’t. You have to accept this, you can’t and thingswon’t get better. Now you have to break this off, before it damages the two ofyou more than this.” Aomine’s voice was stern, confident, and Kise envied it.
“I don’t know if I can do it…” he whispered, even hewanted to scream or help.
“Then I’mgoing to do it for you,” Aomine threatened, “I’m not going to watch you self-destructlike this.”
Kise should have told him to mind his own business. Orthat he was fine.
He should have lied again and told him that it wasn’tsomething dramatic as he thought.
But Kise had reached his limit weeks before.
Aomine’s words broke something inside of him and hefelt like smiling for the first time in ages; he felt warm.
“If I do it,” he stuttered in a shaky breath, “I’llprobably need hospitality because she’s going to burn down my apartment.”
Aomine finally let out a chuckle.
“You can crashat my place idiot,” he reassured him softening his voice and Kise could say hewas blushing a bit, awkwardly, “Call me if you need help. For anything.”
Kise heard the door of his house opening and he felthis heart stopping.
“She’s here, call you later!” he whispered quickly.
“Fuck! Saythat bitch I’m gonna ki-”
Kise hanged up before he could finish, the shadow of asmirk on his lips.
The girl entered in the room and took off his coat.
“Who were you talking too?” she asked without greetinghim, eyes glued to his boyfriend. Kise froze and plastered a relaxed smile onhis face.
“No one important, just a friend…” he waved it off, butthe girl narrowed his eyes.
“Which friend?” he inquired stopping moving and Kiseknew that she was going to cry if he didn’t say it.
“Aominecchi!” He forced another happy smile, but shedarkened.
“Was he angry at you because you cant’ go today?” sheasked warily, reaching him on the couch and wrapping her arms around him.
He stiffly hugged her back.
“Yes,” he murmured, fear creeping under his skin, “Maybewe should go, just to say hi-” he tried to propose, still unable abandon thehope that the girl he had loved could come back again.
“I don’t like him!” she interrupted him, almosthysterical, tightening her grip, “You promised you were going to be with metoday! For the whole day! Why should we go to them? Are you tired of being withme? Did you lie to me?”
She blurted it all out in a shaky voice, pulling backso that she could look at Kise with her watery eyes. Kise watched as shestarted crying with trembling lips and pale face, whispering how much she lovedhim and how much she felt bad thinking about going outside.
He felt part of him urging to hug her and comply toher requests just so she stopped suffering but…for how long they had been together? And how many times he had already seen her like that? Too many. And nothingchanged.
Aomine was right. Their relationship was toxic.
That could never end well. He had to be the one to dosomething about it.
And the solution was only one.
For the first time, Kise gently pushed her away andlet his façade fall, revealing a pained, cold and tired expression.
“I’m sorry, but we have to talk.”

I fell in love with the HP AU and can't get enough of it! I never realized I NEEDED The Ticking Bomb Team in my life until you showed me! Haha! Can I request a scenario for this dorky team basically just being dorks during practice? Please base them off your HCS about them (Mayu being angry at everyone, Haizaki VS Kise-Takao duo, Ima being exasperated, Akashi being scary, Mura missing (in the kitchen lol). Side note: 30 asks! I hope we're not inconveniencing you. Thanks for putting up with us!
Hi dear! Sorryif it took me a while, I was so happy you asked me this! I love writing forthis Au and I continuously end up with more hcs 😂 This was really funny to write, I hope it displays well how chaotic anddangerous this team can be. Yes, it always ends up in a bloody mess.
Have a goodday!
Ps. this isbased on my headcanons about KnB x HP that you can find under #kuroko no basket x harry potter or #knbxhp hcs
 The TickingBomb Team
“Okay guys, I’ve booked the pitch for this after-“
“Shouldn’t we wait for Murasakibara?” Himuro politelyinterrupted Imayoshi. The Captain sighed and looked them, feeling inside thatit was going to be another hellish afternoon.
He had called his first string to practicea bit before the match of Sunday, against Hufflepuff, and now they were standingin the pitch, wearing the green and silver uniforms of their House. Well, hewould have liked to train with the entire the team, but the others couldn’t surviveplaying with them for long periods and begged to be spared, so he had to giveup. Kise and Takao were chatting and joking with each other, without payingattention to him, Haizaki was swinging his own bat, Mayuzumi was seatedon the ground with a book open on his laps, uninterested in everything else, andHimuro was the only good junior faking, at least, to care.
“I’ve already sent Akashi to search for him,” Hereplied fixing his glasses, thinking about the missing beater and his preciousSeeker. The only one who could keep a tight rein on the others, despite being a junior like them.
“I bet he’s in the Kitchen,” Kise chuckled, joiningthe conversation.
“He has a fanclub between the elves,” Takao addedamused, leaning against Kise’ shoulder. “Big as much as our Himuro’s one. Howmany girls confessed to you today?” he joked with a wink.
Himuro hid a smirk and rolled his eyes.
“You two shouldn’t speak,” he reminded shaking hishead.
“Thanks. I know I’m popular.” Kise agreed proudly, combing back his shining blonde hair in his favorite sexy move. Takao burstinto laughter.
“So modest! Man, do it again!” Begged with tears atthe corner of his eyes. “I would like to take notes, Mr. I-Am-Still-Single-Because-I-Have-An-Unrequited-Crush.”
Kise pouted and jostled him jokingly.
“I don’t know what you are talking about! You’re justenvious, Takao,” Replied sticking his tongue out and crossing his arms.
“Who could ever be jealous of you, Barbie Loser?” Haizaki venomouslyasked, reaching them and looking down on the blonde. Kise narrowed his eyes andTakao straightened a bit.
“Look who’s decided to bless us with his presence,”Takao greeted annoyed, tilting his head to the side.
“There was something strange…” Kise hummed nodding,“No animal sounds disturbed our conversation.”
Haizaki’ smirk widened like a shark’s and he clenchedhis fist around the bat.
“Don’t worry, soon the air is gonna be filled with thesounds of your jaw breaking,” he threatened licking his lips.
Takao scoffed and elbowed playfully his friend.
“Heard that? I believe it was a threat.”
“I would be worried if he was capable to aim,” Kiseshot unfazed and Haizaki growled.
“Please guys. Not again,” Himuro begged tiredly, covering his eyes with the hands.
Mayuzumi raised his head to give them a quick, disgusted glance.
“Idiots,” He softly murmured, before resuming ignoringthem. His novel was far more interesting.
“Okay, okay. Since you all have energy to spare, rideyour brooms and start warming up,” Imayoshi interrupted them in his captaintone, to avoid another fight. “Kise, Himuro and Takao let’s start with simple passeswith the Quaffle. Steadily heighten the rapidity and precision of your shots.Haizaki, free one Bludger and defend them.”
Imayoshi regretted his words in the exact moment hemet the beater’s eyes.
“Haizaki don’t-” begged exasperated but the boy has alreadygrabbed his broom and bolted up.
The captain sighed covering his eyes, while hiscatchers took off too.
“Mayuzumi could you please-” he searched for help inhis roommate and classmate, but he raised a hand to interrupt him.
“Let me finish the page,” he blocked him coldly, without averting his gaze from the inked words.
“Why?” Imayoushi asked to himself, worriedly lookingup. If they weren’t good players, he would have already cursed them but…duringmatches, their thirst for victory transformed them in a professional and slyteam. Yet, when practicing, they were just a bunch of kids joking and continuouslyannoying each other.
“HAIZAKI YOU BASTARD!” Kise’s resented voice echoed inthe air, followed by Haizaki’s laughter.
The first one had miraculously avoided a Bludgercoming for his head, gently sent by his own Beater. The second was laughing athis face and searching for the flying ball, ready to try another shot.
Unfortunately, he hadn’t tracked the movements of Kise’spartner in crime.
He was still barking amused when the Quaffle hit hishead with a loud smack, nearly knocking him off from the broom.
Haizaki cursed, yelling in pain, and steadied himselfwith difficulty. His head was throbbing in pain.
“Ah sorry, you were exactly in the middle. I didn’tnotice,” Takao angelically apologized with a fake smile on his lips, while spinningaround.
“You fucker!” Haizaki growled and tried to hit himwith the bat but the other speeded away, reaching Kise for a high-five.
“Good shot!” the blonde beamed at him, proud to havingbeen avenged. “It’s a pity that idiot blocked it.”
“Guys please…”Himuro flew between them with a scowl onhis face, “Try to be a bit mature.”
“It’s his fault!” the two argued offended by hisaccuse.
“Yeah, yeah but we should train and- Where’s theQuaffle now?” he suddenly asked furrowing and turning his head left and right.
Kise and Takao exchanged a horrified look, realizingit probably fell on the ground. They hurriedly searched for the ball and frozewhen they caught sight of it. The red Quaffle was resting into Mayuzumi’shands. After having crashed on his novel, destroying the book.
“Damn.” Takao didn’t know if he wanted to laugh or toscreech terrified. He opted for something in between.
The three of them, paralyzed, watched as the older boyslowly stood up and looked for them. They could see his furious stare fromthere. Then, he picked up his bat and grabbed his broomstick.
“I was waiting for this.” Kise snorted, anticipating inboth dread and amusement the absurd change in his housemate’s behavior.
In the exact moment Mayuzumi’s feet left the ground, aroar echoed in the pitch.
“I’LL FUCKING KILL YOU MOTHERFUCKERS.”
The three catchers exchanged a scared look, paling. Hewas even angrier than usual; he liked that book that much?
“Go!” Kise pushed Takao, hurrying him to fly for theirlives, eyeing the charging Beater coming for their heads.
Unfortunately, an angry Haizaki, who had finallycaught the Bludger and who was ready to get his revenge, blocked their gateway.
“DIE!” He screamed hitting it and sending the angryball in their direction.
Kise shrilled and ducked, dragging Himuro with himbefore he could end up in the infirmary with a broken nose. Again.
Takao overturned in a swift movement and avoided ittoo.
The Bludger flew past them and nearly hit Mayuzumi inthe face, who in turn threw it back at the last second with a powerful swing.
“HAIZAKI I’M GONNA MURDER YOU IN YOUR SLEEP!” Yelledaiming at the boy’ chest, surrounded by a dark aura.
“Why you always drag me into this!” Himuro hissed exasperated, but he didn’t have the time to elaborate his complain.
“Let’s divide!” Kise urged pointing his broomstick tothe sky. He could seem worried and, to be honest, he was really scared to be crushedto a pulp by those two ferocious Beaters, yet he was used to that thrill. Itwas adrenalizing, it was interesting. It made his heart beat and his instinct gowild.
A smirk spontaneously appeared on his lips while he flewup.
“I’ll go taking back the Quaffle!” Takao exclaimed divingtowards the ground. He knew exactly what his friend was thinking and was readyfor it. He wore the same, excited and mischievous expression.
Himuro groaned, but couldn’t help himself fromgrinning.
“Why it always ends up like a survival game?” he askedfollowing Kise and avoiding to be crashed by another Bludger sent by Haizaki.
“Because you love it!” the blonde chanted, before addressinghis captain, who was still watching them from the ground, “CAPTAIN GUARD THERINGS! WE’RE GOING TO SHOOT!” he warned cheerfully waving his hand. He then hadto suddenly duck and evading Mayuzumi’s bat, not waiting for an answer.
“You’re doing what?” Mayuzumi cursed under his breathcatching up with the iron ball, “I’m going to knock off that stupid broom youand your fucking grin, before you can even reach the rings.” Growled narrowinghis eyes and neatly aiming at Kise’s head. Unluckily the blonde had the reflexesto avoid it, swerving to the left, but he didn’t surrender and started chasingafter him.
“Let’s see who scores more point!” Takao addedexcited.
“If you got hit by the Beaters, you lose points!” Himuroestablished escaping from a Bludger.
“If I hit you, I’ll damn kill you!” Haizaki roaredchasing after him.
Imayoshi from the ground looked at his players, tryingto kill or at least seriously injure each other. Haizaki and Mayuzumi weremanaging to fight each other and at the same time to strike the others.Impressive. Ah, Takao had taken back the Quaffle. He and Kise tried somehazardous passes, but as usual, they didn’t miss one. Their coordination wasincreasing. Probably Himuro’s directives helped.
Imayoshi sighed again, defeated.
Well, at least his catchers wanted to try and score. At that point, he couldn’t do anything else other than going up there too andadapt to their stupid way of playing. Serious practice had to be postponedagain.
The Captain freed the remaining Bludger and took offtoo.
Ten minutes later, Akashi and Murasakibara entered thepitch too. The Seeker frowned at the sight of his team in the air. Kise washolding his left arm, probably broken, and whining; Takao was laughing his assoff at Haizaki’s face covered in blood and crushed nose, Mayuzumi was screamingcurses and insults at Himuro, who in the end lost his patience too and threw theQuaffle against the Beater’s chest, nearly knocking him down. Imayoshi was exasperatedlyyelling at them from his position in front of the rings, completely ignored.
“I told you it was going to end up like this…”Murasakibara mumbled, still offended about being dragged away from the kitchen.
At first Akashi didn’t answer, still frozen. Then adark, cold aura spread around him and Murasakibara wisely took a step back.
“I hope,” Akashi replied in a soft, cold voice, “they’reready for what awaits them,” he threatened with a polite smile before he elegantly jumped on his broom.
“Ah, they’re dead,” Murasakibara deadpanned while theSeeker dashed full speed towards the unaware and chaotic team.
