Sweet Pea growled through the phone, and she heard a loud crash. He was pissed. “Sweet Pea, do you trust me?”

“Yes, cupcake, I trust you. It’s Jones I don’t trust.” He breathed heavily. “We will talk about this as soon as this is done. Call me when you're at the trailer.” The phone line ended, and she cursed herself. She walked back into the apartment, frowning.
