Friendly reminder that keeping a diary doesn’t need to be perfect. It doesn’t need to be an extremely thorough and detailed account of every second of your life to date to be worth writing. It doesn’t need to be full of beautiful illustrations or exciting deeds. You don’t need to write an entry every day, or every week or every anything. It barely even needs to be legible.

The point is to let out whatever needs to be let out, and record whatever needs to be recorded.

Just wanna appreciate the fact that both Crowley and aziraphale can literally fly/float (both because obviously the big ass wings, and also the fact Crowley sleeps on the walls implies to me that they can still fly without them, also in the “before the beginning” bit they seem to be floating, and using the wings for stability although I appreciate they were in space) but both choose to use human transport!! Most obviously the Bentley but also just walking around, using the little moped and catching the bus. I guess to them, human transport might be like flying would be to us. And the other angels/demons walk to keep their cover/it’s more convenient in the areas of heaven and hell that we see but they don’t appreciate it in the same way, like Crowley does with his car. I don’t know I just like the thought.

Psst, reading fanfiction is still reading.

Sure the blue light from a screen might not be as great late at night as a low yellowish lamp and a physical paper book… but it’s still reading.

People who boast about the “classic literature” they read but won’t “stoop to fanfiction” (or any other form of writing) don’t actually care about the quality of the story or writing, just the prestige they get from having it on their shelf.

Read what you enjoy. Watch what you enjoy. That’s why these things are made. (Especially things like fanfic which is very very unlikely to make the author any money).

(This is in no way, shape or form saying that classic literature is bad or that the only people who enjoy it are snobs just, y’know, it’s not inherently better than any other literature just because it’s older.)

Minecraft ideas that would be useful if they weren’t so messed up:

Using shears on cows to get leather like wool with sheep,

Block of rotten flesh,

Getting hit by an arrow/trident gives you a small chance of that item being added to your inventory as though you pulled it out and kept it,

Occasionally finding bones/rotten flesh when moving through dirt since those undead must have graves somewhere-

Art tip that sounds obvious but is easy to forget, (this is mainly for acrylic) paint dries slightly differently. This means shading and colour matching may look perfect then suddenly get thrown off, or may look totally wrong until it dries. I often find it’s really worth doing little test strokes/squares on similar colour scrap to your canvas, and pay extra attention to how much of what you’re mixing. Just something to remember.
