Planetary - A Legacy Challenge
I love legacy challenges in the sims and I have a ton of random facts about our solar system rolling around in my noggin. So! I thought it’d be fun to try my hand at making my own challenge with each generation based around the planets themselves rather than astrology or their namesakes.
General Rules/Info:
I did not bother to make this base game compatible cuz I have all the current packs and wasn’t paying attention to what would and would not be available. sorry.
You can kinda just staple on any other legacy challenge’s rules here if you’d prefer to use them. Such as no money cheats or normal lifetime length, etc etc
Also maybe Tag Me if you decide to try it? I’d love any feedback! Though I do plan on playing this through myself and editing it if I decide anything is too much or just no fun
Sun:
You’ve always loved attention and a good spotlight, so you decided to move to the city in hopes of making it big. You’re a bright and optimistic person who most can’t help but be drawn into orbit. Unfortunately this often also draws in the attention of hate and ridicule as much as it does love and affection.
Traits: Ambitious, Self Absorbed, Hotheaded
Aspiration: World Famous Celebrity
Career: Actor
Rules:
Complete Aspiration
Master Actor Career
Make at least one Enemy
Have one public Break-Up
Max Charisma Skill

Mercury:
All your life you’ve watched people orbit your parent and unfortunately you are no different. You don’t have many friends or any friends really. People have said you’re a bit “toxic” to be around, whatever that means. Having found it so difficult to connect with those around you, you look towards the past in hopes that it will bring you some sort of understanding of mankind.

All you need is a quiet place for yourself and your animal friends to keep you company. To avoid getting caught you’ve decided your best bet is to jettison it all out into space. Now to build a rocket…

8th house astro notes
Tumblr media
The 8th house in astrology is an enigmatic and profound realm, encapsulating themes of transformation, shared resources, intimate partnerships, and the exploration of life's mysteries.
This house delves into the depths of human existence, encompassing the profound aspects of life such as death, rebirth, sexuality, joint resources, and psychological realms. Its domain includes the merging of energies, financial partnerships, inheritance, and the unspoken facets that shape our lives.
The 8th house, associated with Scorpio, signifies a realm of secrets, taboos, and deep psychological experiences. It symbolizes the metamorphosis that occurs through life-altering events, intense emotional connections, and the exploration of hidden aspects of existence.
Astrologically, planets located within the 8th house or influencing it can denote inherited patterns, unresolved emotions, and energies that demand conscious understanding. They may represent both challenges and opportunities for growth, urging individuals to confront hidden fears, desires, and psychological complexes.
This house represents the intricate web of shared resources, joint finances, and partnerships that require trust and vulnerability. It encompasses not only the physical aspects of shared wealth or assets but also the emotional and psychological merging that occurs in intimate relationships.
While the 2nd house represents personal possessions and values, the 8th house extends to shared possessions and values that are mutually owned or inherited. It signifies the complexities of shared resources and the intricate dance of power struggles, trust, and intimacy that often accompany these joint ventures.
Furthermore, the 8th house encompasses the psychological journey towards self-mastery through crises, deep introspection, and transformative experiences. Planetary placements within this house or aspects to its ruler can signify areas of life where deep change, psychological exploration, or inherited traits come into play.
The 8th house invites individuals to confront fears, obsessions, and the darker aspects of the human psyche, encouraging self-awareness and the release of compulsive behaviors or hidden anxieties. It serves as a battleground for self-understanding and self-mastery through confronting challenges related to death, trauma, and inherited patterns.
However, it's essential to note that planets in the 8th house are not inherently negative or malevolent. Instead, they may signify areas where individuals experience obstacles or challenges that require a deeper understanding and a slower, more profound approach to transformation.
This house also encompasses the concept of inheritance beyond material possessions, including ancestral memories, family legacies, and psychological imprints passed down through generations. It addresses the legacy individuals leave behind and the inherent struggles and strengths inherited from ancestors.
In essence, the 8th house signifies a realm of depth, transformation, and shared experiences—where the exploration of the psyche, shared resources, and inherited traits intertwine to shape an individual's journey towards self-mastery and understanding.

Hi, sending ♥️♥️♥️ for you! Hope all is great out there!
I would like to know from you which placements can indicate a person obsessive with power and money?
• PLACEMENTS THAT INDICATE A PERSON THAT'S OBSESSIVE WITH POWER AND MONEY •
I personally love this ask. So, thank you for submitting this one. Long post ahead!
🎩 Capricorn in the 1st, 4th, 8th, and 10th House
This sign situated in the 1st house (Ascendant) would make a person have laser-like focus on achieving a powerful image to show the public, and accumulating the hefty sum of money to back it up.
In the 4th house, Capricorn would like to flex their achievements — such as a high societal standing and amassed wealth — unto the family unit; most importantly, to their parents. They want to prove that they can make it on their own, if not, better than their predecessors.
Capricorn in the 8th house is a placement that makes the native have secret agendas to be at the top of the social pyramid without anyone knowing how they do it, or why. These natives are internally prideful in their value as a person, and would definitely want to leave a powerful name and legacy well after their deaths.
In its original house, Capricorn in the 10th house is the epitome of power, money, and control. They are seen as people who are born to have these qualities because almost everyone can feel and see their potential to make it to the top. And these natives take that impression very seriously.
🎩 Jupiter aspecting Saturn (especially Conjunct)
This is a powerful union between these planets, especially if it's in conjunction — which is quite rare. Regardless of the type of aspect, natives with this placement are almost always followed by power; no matter if it's good power, or bad.
If these planets are aspecting positively, we get someone who knows their own capabilities to reach great power. Perhaps, they already have a head-start in life, and are already somewhat power in their own right. But these natives know what they're capable of. And they will make sure to put that into good use, and make something out of themselves. (Natalie Portman has this placement in conjunction, and look at how sought after she was since she was still a fledgling actress. Another example is Meghan Markle. Say what you will about the woman but money and power followed her in life).
If these planets are negatively aspected, the same effects are to be expected. However, there are a lot of hurdles ahead of this native before they reach the pinnacle of power and heights of money they desire. But all these challenges and suffering only make these natives want power and money more than anything now. The prospect that all of their sacrifice and hardwork will eventually bear successful outcomes fuel these natives' drive to push harder than ever.
🎩 Mars aspecting Saturn (especially hard aspects)
With the same sentiments as the aspect above, Mars-Saturn hard aspects make someone more obsessed and focused on gaining everything they want in life. And these natives learn early on that in order to get the most in life, they'd need all the power and money they can get. Also, they will be aggressive about it. It is not wise to get in between these people and their ambitions.
🎩 Mars aspecting Pluto (all kinds of aspects)
I'd be remiss if I don't talk about the planetary connection between these two. Being able to amass and embody power are one of the most important goals these natives have. Of course, power looks different for many of us. But being able to wield that power is crucial for people with this placement. And more often than not, they also use this power to acquire money. (They also use money as a source of power in itself!)
If negative aspected, these natives need to be very cautious not to hurt themselves and others when they don't get things their way. If power and money don't come easy for you, please remember to be patient. Don't start a warpath just to get what you want.
Bruce Lee has these two planets aspecting, and he ended up disciplining his physical power to train his body to do his bidding. Instead of being a brute about his martial arts skills, he harnessed the power for good, and trained himself to control the power he holds.
🎩 Mercury aspecting both Saturn and Pluto
Having Mercury aspecting both Saturn and Pluto at the same time gives you a native that can almost be Machiavellian in nature. They can, of course, use their intellectual skills for the better of all. But if they let their obsessions about money and power consume them, they can easily be those who are seen as heartless and cutthroat in whatever field they are in. This placement gives me real Lex Luthor vibes.
🎩 Heavy Taurus, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, and Capricorn influence in the chart (especially if these signs are all in your big 6 combined)
All of these signs are known for their potential and risk for being obsessed with money and power. But if you're wondering why Libra is there, let me explain. People tend to glance past Libra-dominant natives as if they're all just diplomatic, peacemaking folks. But if you really examine what's going on, why do you think Librans are really keen on being seen as a pacifist? Librans employ a great strategy on getting well with everyone because it's their tactic to eliminate as much hostile and aggressive competition as possible, all while they keep their eyes on the prize of achieving power!
Not to mention, Venus is the planet of Libra; which governs all things beautiful and aesthetically pleasing. These natives know that some beauty in life doesn't come for free. People severely underestimate Librans, please don't.
🎩 8th House Stellium/Personal Planets on the 8th
Lastly, we all know how the 8th house governs power and monetary fortune. Obsessions about these things run deep in natives who have a Stellium in this house, or their personal planets residing here.
In my experience, most (not all) people I've seen with this placement are quite nepotistic. They may not come from extreme wealth, but their family has the money to walk the talk, and these natives know that. They know they also have to live up to their family's expectations of greatness — or continuing the line of wealth — so they definitely feel the obsession to reach great heights in power and money.

ASCENDANT LEGACY CHALLENGE RULES
If you know me, you know how obsessed I am with astrology.
I have studied astrology and chart reading for years and I wanted to create two of my oldest and deepest loves, the sims and astrology. This is a 12 Gen legacy challenge focused on the Ascendant/Rising sign, so I named the challenge the Ascendant Legacy Challenge tag-> #ts4 Ascendant Legacy
The challenge has lots of different aspects and items, so read the entire post. The challenge isn’t base game friendly, but can be adapted
Full Challenge Rules below the cut
(please reblog to share, it would mean a lot since this is my first challenge and it took weeks to write!)
This is probably the most in-depth challenge you have seen (at least that I have seen), but it will be really worth it and completely replayable.
ASCENDANT LEGACY CHALLENGE
This challenge has 5 Steps, so make sure to check each step since each Gen has 2 challenges to complete (Steps 3 & 5).
The Ascendant (Rising sign) is the Zodiac sign that was coming over the Eastern Horizon when the native (the person) was born – it represents the identity of the person, their physical appearance, their self, and journey in life. It sets up the birth chart and aligns the Houses. This will also dictate your sims and their challenges for their lives.
Houses represent the areas of life all people experience. Depending on the placement of ascendant in the birth chart, the houses will be ordered in a particular way. This legacy challenge is based on the Tropical zodiac using Whole Sign Houses. This will be the Gen challenge to complete with your Ascendant/Rising Challenge.
Disclaimer – everyone is unique and will have a different birth chart. As the birth chart is unique and complex, some elements may not resonate with some people due to other placements in the chart, planetary rulership, age, life experiences, etc. This doesn’t mean the information is incorrect, just different.
Step 1: Your Founder
Choose a number between 1-12.
This is the ascendant of your legacy founder (note 1). This challenge is to be played in Zodiacal order, meaning if you choose #8 as your founder, Gen 2 will be #9, Gen 3 will be #10 and so on until you finish Gen 12 with #7.
Step 2: Create your legacy founder
I designed this challenge to be played on either normal or long life-span, but you could also play with aging turned off. If you struggle to complete the challenges in the lifespan, age-slowing methods are allowed – please send me a message (ask/submit) on where the sticking points were and why
Assign the traits/aspiration/career based off the number you chose for your sim, listed in (note 1)
I chose these based on the ascendant descriptors and the houses each sign rules in astrology.  I tried to change up the gameplay from other things I’ve seen and leaned more on the house system (more on that later). I stayed away from the stereotypes, so you might not recognize the choices I made, but trust me.
Of course, these traits/descriptions are not intended to hurt anyone’s feelings or generalize any signs, I really want to change up the gameplay and tie back to astrology the best I can. Nothing in astrology is good or evil, it is all through context and a holistic approach.
Your sims will be assigned 2 traits and either an aspiration and/or career. The third trait is up to you based on your sims flavour, storyline, and life, but I provided a suggestion for most. Feel free to add even more traits (through the add traits / mccc menu). Not all people are the same and not all zodiac signs are the same either!
 Step 3: Zodiac Challenges
move your founder onto a lot and set funds between $0-1000 depending on your gameplay style. You can choose an empty lot, an apartment, a starter home – the choice is yours based on your gameplay style.
Complete your sims requirements for the Generation – Zodiac and House challenges.
Your founders can be any gender, human/occult, born or adopted – I don’t mind at all, the choice is yours. You must complete the Generations in Zodiacal order based on your founder’s rising/ascendant sign, this is the rule.
Avoid using excessive cheats, it will ruin your gameplay and take the fun out of the gameplay. Feel free to use mods and change things up if you are missing a pack. At the end of the day, it’s your gameplay and the goal is to have fun!
Step 4: Ascendant Zodiac Challenges
(see note 1 for zodiac traits/skills/careers/aspirations).
Each zodiac sign has a challenge to complete that is unique to the sign. I tried to choose challenges that highlighted the good or bad side of each sign and would add to your gameplay.
You can choose in what order or life stage the challenges occur based on your gameplay. Feel free to use mods to help or hinder progress, add extra challenges or influence your gameplay, but don’t just cheat and ignore the challenges.
The numbers are based on step 1, not the order of the Generations!
Check Note 1 for the summary table for quick reference and for skills.
Check Faq for any questions or detailed posts
#1. Aries Rising:

Often having a taste for luxury, this Venus ruled sign loves to pamper themselves and enjoy the good things in life. Taurus can be stubborn, grounded in their beliefs and values and uncompromised when in comes to change as they feel they must control all aspects of their lives to be fulfilled. Taurus must learn that accepting a genuine helping hand and guidance will help Taurus, not hurt them.
Complete an aspiration in the creativity category

Geek, Outgoing
Aspiration: Neighbourhood Confidante
Career:  Critic or Freelancer
Modality: Mutable Air, Planetary Ruler: Mercury
Gemini is ruled by Mercury and as an air sign, it’s focus is on communication and thought. Gemini Rising’s thirst for knowledge and fine tuning to details makes it the ideal candidate for forging its own path. Your Gemini sim wants to learn and share with others, building the community they live in. Family is who you are born to, and who you choose to be with, Gemini knows this.
Gemini has covert, mysterious energy, leading to the misconception that they are “two faced” when it is that they be perceived as stoic and perceptive, or bubbly and witty.
Be the leader of a club (or DU: Organization, or friend group) for the area of interest of your sim
Volunteer once per week with family
Ask an elder friend to join household and live with them until they pass away
#4. Cancer Rising:

Career: Writer
Modality: Cardinal Water, Planetary Ruler: Moon
Cancer Rising has a lot of deep emotional experiences it must face in life and can find difficulty balancing fun and safety. They are extremely caring and seek companionship. Cancer can also be perceived as naïve and impressionable, which can lead to them struggling with the indifference of others, caring too much about their opinions and craving their validation. Escapism can lead Cancer down a dark path of being convinced to join nefarious groups or ideologies.
In order to heal, Cancer must look deep within themselves and find solitary experiences, let go of others opinions, and find strength and happiness within themselves.
Fall in love with a mean or evil sim and have a child with them. Break-up / divorce partner and focus on raising your family and finding joy in life (can date / remarry if you want)

Write a bestselling novel series (3 books of your choice)
#5. Leo Rising:
Perfectionist, High-Maintenance
Aspiration: choose
Career: Culinary or Style Influencer or Business
Modality: Fixed Fire, Planetary Ruler: Sun
Leo sims are strong-willed and loyal, much like the lions in the wild. Leo rules the heart and cardiovascular system, and your Leo will be the life-force of the town, which can lead those closest to feel jealous of their perceived luck as lack of hard work. Covertly, Leos can suffer from hidden traumas and the feeling of inadequacy, resulting in extreme perfectionism and being self-critical that their hard work is unnoticed and that others think they are handed everything in life. Leos learn hard lessons from those in their lives, experiencing the highest of highs and lowest of lows. Life will not be boring or insignificant for Leo Rising.
Purchase the reward trait Entrepreneurial as soon as possible
Make friends with a 4+ Star Celebrity and become a 3+ star celebrity

Max a creativity skill (music, painting, art, etc.)
Reach top of career and complete aspiration
#6 Virgo Rising:
Gloomy, Bookworm
Aspiration: choose
Career:  Scientist / (BG: Tech-Guru)
Modality: Mutable Earth, Planetary Ruler: Mercury
Virgos Risings are often misunderstood, perceived as neurotic and perfectionists, they are actually a sign that lives with a purpose to service others and make the world a better place. Doom and gloom can be common for this sign, which can lead to mental and physical illness and financial issues if they focus too much on unsustainable workloads for little reward. Virgo Rising can struggle with completing projects or goals, which can make them harsh on themselves, believing that they aren’t doing enough. overcome this challenge, Virgo needs to work on endurance and balance and finish what they start.
Virgo is a sign that can find great, fairy-tale love. This challenges them to accept the imperfection of life and to see the bigger picture. Having fun and finding what is right for Virgo will be the key to happiness and success.
Master the wellness skill and jog regularly
Reach top of career
Have a garden with 10 excellent plants
Find their soulmate and grow old together
Complete a Location or Nature aspiration
#7 Libra Rising:
Cheerful, Romantic
Aspiration:  Serial Romantic or Villainous Valentine, and Super Parent
Career:  Law or Detective or Secret Agent
Modality: Cardinal Air, Planetary Ruler: Venus
Libra is ruled by Venus, the planet of desire and harmony. They are the social butterfly of the zodiac with a magnetizing energy.  Libras are the only sign ruled by an object, the scales which represent balance and justice. As a result, Libras Risings have the ability to adapt and see neutrality and nuance in situations, which makes them a great investigator.  Opposites attract is a common theme as the birth chart is the opposite of the natural order. Libras Risings can often struggle with emotions, feeling overly emotional reacting to mundane aspects of life and detached during tragedies or joyful events.
Your Libra is leaning a bit too far to one side of the scales, do you choose good, or do you choose chaos?
Choose the Super Parent aspiration after the aspiration in note 1
Fall for a telemarketing scam / investment scam should it present itself
Perform comedy routines or busking one night of the week
#8 Scorpio Rising:
Paranoid, Genius
Aspiration: Inner Peace
Career: Doctor or Civil Designer
Modality: Fixed Water, Planetary Ruler: Mars (co-ruler Pluto)
Scorpio risings are often misunderstood, as their depth and mystery can make those around them uncomfortable. To trust, Scorpio must be deeply connected to the people in their lives – they are intimidating those around them and are often made the antagonist by those who feel threatened or want power over situations.
Co-ruled by Mars and Pluto Scorpios seek out the truth and aren’t scared of the darkness in life, always transforming and learning. Their inner voice is powerful, and they have a strong sense of ethics at the cost of their success. Scorpios want to have fun, but can easily overdo the physical aspects and need to rest.
Have 2 relationships that fall apart and never speak to them again. Marry childhood friend (or sim met in first 3 days if Gen 1)
Earn a bad reputation and correct it
Have an accidental pregnancy or adopt multiple children
#9 Sagittarius Rising:
Self-Assured, Non-Committal
Aspiration: Choose
Career: Education (BG: Freelancer)
Modality: Mutable Fire, Planetary Ruler: Jupiter
Ruled by Jupiter, the planet of expansion and beliefs, Sagittarius rising is bold and loves to explore – new places, ideas, people, the list doesn’t stop. When a Sagittarius puts their mind to something, they can’t be waivered, the difficulty is getting them to commit to something for long enough. They are optimistic, and cheerful, but can be critical of others, not always practicing what they preach.
Contribute your knowledge by writing guidebooks and mentoring other sims
Master the fitness and cooking skill
Visit a new venue and/or host a party/event every week as a young adult/adult. (Get them out of the house!)
If not Gen 1: have a part time job / activity
Live go on vacation 2 times or live in 3 different worlds in their life time
 #10 Capricorn Rising:
Materialistic, Neat
Aspiration: Successful Lineage
Career: Engineer / (BG: Business Oracle Branch)
Modality: Cardinal Earth, Planetary Ruler: Saturn
Capricorn risings are hard working and crave stability above all else. This can give them the impression of being a workaholic and stand-offish, but Capricorns don’t want to waste the previous life they have on the simple things. Ruled by Saturn, Capricorn can be lured into the false sense of maintaining aspects that don’t need to be. As a result, Capricorns can be seduced into the idea of settling into comfort, not reaching beyond to new pleasures and smelling the roses.
Complete the Successful Lineage aspiration
Reach level 10 of the career
Retire as an elder
Only become friends with employed (or retired) sims. Students must have part time jobs or activities to be considered “employed”
 #11 Aquarius Rising:
Freegan, Unflirty
Aspiration: Choose
Career:  Scout, Odd Jobs & Crafting (no careers but can own a store)
Modality: Fixed Air, Planetary Ruler: Saturn (and Uranus)
Aquarius risings are air signs known to be innovative, intellectual free thinkers. The water-bearer, the symbol of Aquarius represents giving and humanitarianism. As a Saturn ruled sign, Aquarians can be resistant to changes imposed on them, preferring to set their own rules.
Your Aquarius sim has had enough with the materialistic world, valuing small things in life rather than the flashy items they grew up around. Forging their own path, they will live off the land and build a community around them of like-minded sims of all walks of life.
Be a scout as a kid/teen (if Gen 1, Pisces (Gen 2) will be a scout)
Form a club of like-minded sims focused on environmental and creative activities
Move to a new world and live on an eco-friendly lot (off the grid, simple living– doesn’t have to be a shack)
Have multiple children
 #12 Pisces Rising:
Creative, Clumsy
Aspiration:  Country Caretaker / Outdoor Enthusiast
Career: Choose
Modality: mutable water, Planetary Ruler: Jupiter (and Neptune)
Ruled by Jupiter, Pisces risings can have trouble leaving the world inside their head, preferring to explore the endless bounds of their imagination. As the last sign of the zodiac, they are known as being the old soul with intuition and wisdom hidden just beneath the surface, but visible nonetheless.
Your Pisces has always struggled feel comfortable in their childhood home, finding the noise and external environment difficult to find peace in. That was until they discovered their art, finally being able to express how they feel and see the world to aweing audiences.
Be a scout as a kid (if Gen 1, Aquarius (Gen 12) will be a scout) – can skip if already done in Aquarius Gen
Play a musical instrument and paint
Stay out past curfew and / graffiti on murals throughout life
Become best friends with a non-sim character (e.g., servo, patchy, grim, etc.)
Step 4: Transit Challenges
In astrology, transits, simply put, are planetary events that occur that impact everyone. I have added in transit challenges in the House Challenges to impact your sim. Transit challenges are based on Modality in the Rising Signs
These challenges are made to be fun twists in your gameplay and to be less accurate or technical. They are only going to affect some sims, but in real life would affect everyone differently. I tried to make it so at least one of your heirs will be impacted by a transit. Here is a list of cheats you might need.
Step 5: House challenges
House Challenges: I keep talking about houses, and this is where they tie in. Each generation will have a special challenge based on the Whole Sign House system in astrology. All Gen 1 founders will have the same challenge, regardless of their zodiac sign, all Gen 9 heirs will have the same challenge.. you get the point. This will make the challenge harder or easier depending on the sign trying to complete it.
Your sim will need to complete their house challenge, mastering the house the area of life their zodiac sign rules in their chart. The challenges are based on the simplified, core concepts of each house.
Gen 1 – 1st house: House of Identity
The 1st house is the house of self, it represents the native (aka the person) – their personality and physical body, their interests and view on life, etc. The 1st house focuses on the individual, unlike many other areas of the birth chart. The Ascendant is always in the first house and their positioning sets up the rest of the chart – much like your founder sets up your legacy family. Explore, grow and create a legacy of your own. The goal of this Gen is to find your sims’ identity.
Gen 1 heir:
Complete the Renaissance Sim Aspiration
Play with 3 difficult lot challenges at all times
(recommended: filthy, grody, gremlins, simple living without deliveries). The lot traits should be challenging based off where your sim lives (Earthquake is not allowed since it doesn’t make any meaningful impact on your game).
Transit Challenge: Mercury Retrograde in the 1st house: Fire or Mutable Signs only – lack of focus and clarity with communication and knowledge. Add the argumentative trait as an adult.
Note: this aspiration will override the zodiac rising sign, but once complete, attempt the zodiac one. Story-based aspirations can be done simultaneously - here is a post on the steps for the Renaissance Sim aspiration (thanks Carl)
Gen 2 – 2nd house: House of Resources
The 2nd house is the resources of the native and focuses on what the person has and values. It occurs directly after the 1st house and holds the foundation of the identity through the native’s resources. As a second Gen heir, your focus is on what they own.
Play with the cursed lot trait from Gen 2’s birth (regardless if Gen 2 heir is first born), your Gen 1 sim accidently built their house on sacred land and the ancient spirits are angry… rightfully. (Note 3)
Complete one collection of your choice
Make 3 wishes in the wishing well, without bribes and live with the consequences (do this after Gen 3 is born / or if a solo household shift+click another sim into your household to prevent potential game over). Alternative: Make all your decisions using the future cube.
Gen 3 – 3rd house: House of Communication
The 3rd house represents schedules, local communities, short-distance travel, and siblings. It is often named the house of communication as it represents aspects of life in our daily lives and spaces.  You’re a community leader after all!
Move to a new lot and/or world as a young adult (or teen, your storyline). Bulldoze the Gen 2 lot, move all remaining sims out into new and restore remaining funds to the amount before this action, minus $1,000 (example, if you had 23,400 before, cheat to combine family funds of 22,400).
Host a weekly event for sims in the community – bbq, pool party, book club, you name it!
Pack specific: Eco Lifestyle: successfully influence 3 neighbourhood action plans.
Invite in every sim that comes to your door when your household is home
Gen 4 – 4th house: House of Ancestry
The 4th house represents the family and ancestry, it is the roots and origins within the native. Sims with a strong 4th house will feel a connection to home. Make sure to take lots of pictures of your family to remember your sims by.  Your sim isn’t perfect and can be a bit overbearing at times.
Only control descendants through your heir’s / spouse’s actions by influencing their children (Gen 5). You can do this until your Gen 4 completes their zodiacal ascendant challenge, or your Gen 5 heir ages into a teen. No limit on how many children, partners, or household dynamic you choose to have. (You can control the children in order to get them after-school activities/jobs, check their needs).
Have a 9pm curfew and discipline your Gen 5 sims with “Strict” interactions,
Transit Challenge: Mars Conjoins Pluto. Cardinal signs (3rd trait) or Water signs only (2nd trait) – a transformation and shift of power and conflict. Change specified trait to Mean 4 in Adult Lifestage.
Gen 5 – 5th house: House of Pleasure
The 5th house is the house of pleasure and creativity. It represents the desires and fun parts of life, parties, creative projects, woohoos…
As the Gen 5 heir, your sim will entertain to their hearts desire. Your complicated (negative) relationship with your “parental figure” and chose to rebel from their rules,  you decide to never be sheltered against.
Gen 5 heir:
Complete the Party Animal Aspiration.
Max a creativity skill and share their knowledge with the world by writing a guidebook.
You must accept every invitation
Adopt a child
Gen 6 – 6th House: House of Work
The 6th house is the house of work. It represents the mundane tasks and relationships we maintain to do the work that needs to be done. Health and visible injuries are associated with this house. It is also associated with maintenance, coworkers, and dependents (including pets).
As the Gen 6 heir, your sim is of the mindset, “if you want something done right, do it yourself”.
Young adult/Adult stages - Your sim will have to maintain their household – you cannot hire any services to assist you, including yourself… sim god – keeping the house clean and all items fixed. You can hire employees for your business and have clubs. You cannot drag dirty items from your sims’ inventory and must have them clean up after themselves. Use the Reduce/Recycle and Simple Living trait or Filthy for extra challenge.
Master the handiness skill by fixing every broken object in your house (can replace if burnt by a fire).
Lastly, marry a co-worker or club member/teammate (has to be an interest-based club)
Gen 7 – 7th House: House of the Other (Relationships)
The 7th house represents one-on-one relationships of all kinds, but it mostly associated with romantic relationships and other close important relationships. Compatibility with the 7th house is an important concept and can be discovered through a technique called Synastry, where one looks at two birth charts to see compatibility, especially between 1st and 7th house placements. A bad placement in the 7th house of the partner can be seen as future tension between the two parties.
Gen 7 heir must explore close relationships with others, searching for their soulmate. This isn’t an easy task and there are bumps along the way.
Your sim must be in a relationship with a sim with the opposing zodiac’s traits, which will fail and end in divorce. (you heir’s zodiac # from step 1 will be the basis of their partner’s traits)
Lessons learned the hard way, your sim doesn’t give up on love and must then find their soulmate, choosing a sim with another trait in the opposing zodiac trait list. (Example: an Aries sim must find two sims with Libra traits, the 1st fails and the 2nd lasts).
As intimate partnership is not the only meaningful relationship found in the 7th house…
become best friends with a professional sim (either in the career: lawyer, doctor, civil designer, professor, businessperson). This is because the 7th house also holds professional relationships with those who aid in contractual/business relationships.
Declare 2 public enemies since the 7th house is has known enemies
Transit Challenge: Venus in the 7th House Trines Jupiter: Earth or Mutable Signs only – A harmonious aspect between the two planets.  Child & Teen heir, earn/cheat empathy Compassionate (good) Character Value trait.
Gen 8 – 8th House: House of Death
The 8th house is associated with death and shared finances as two things are guaranteed in life – death and taxes. It also rules contracts and share finances with partners found in the 7th house. Strong 8th house placements often find themselves in careers involving death or contracts, such as morticians, nurses, mediums, and accountants – as an accountant myself, I can tell you that accounting does feel like death sometimes.
There is something not right with the Gen 8thhouse, perhaps spirits can be found in the home to disturb the peace.
You must play in a Haunted House or with the Spooky lot trait as a young adult, how you handle this is up to you – but you cannot cheat death… or can you… After tragedy strikes, your sim is convinced there is a way to get their loved one back.
Your Gen 8 sim must revive a dead family member or friend sim (not from pleading to Grim).
Gen 9 – 9th house: House of Higher Knowledge
The 9th house is known as the house of philosophy and long-distance travel. It opposes the 9th house of schedules, primary-age knowledge, and short distance travel. This house is about exploration and finding the meaning of the world we live in. Prominent 9th house placements are often in careers such as professors, leaders in their fields, and inventors.
Your Gen 9 sim always was looking for more in this world after tragedies in their childhood. Curious, they long for a life of knowledge and adventure.
Pack specific: Gen 9 will attend university with a passion to learn they follow their purpose in life! Join one of the school clubs and rank up to level 3, attending all of the club events.
If you don’t have Discover University, reach level 6 in 4 skills, which is about how much you would in university
Have your sim live 3 different worlds, going on at least 2 vacations in their lifetime.
Become good friends / mentor / teach Gen 10 or 11 on a skill so the next Gen reaches level 5.
Gen 10 – 10th House: House of Career
The 10th house is known as the house of career and legacy as it opposes the 4th house of family and ancestry. Congratulations, you made it to the 10th Generation! Your time is not over yet, you must continue what you started.
Your Gen 10 is hard-working, dedicating their life to their career at the expense of the family, but what their kids don’t realize – all those hard hours dedicated to Gen 10’s craft, they are for the Family!
Finish the Fabulously Wealthy aspiration.
Max their career.
Gen 11 – 11th house: House of Networks
The 11th house is known as the house of social networks and is also associated with charity and humanitarian work. Strong 11th house placements are often well-connected in society and are known for their networks.
As with many prominent 11th house placements, your Gen 11 is no different. Determined to make a name for themselves after the prolific career path and success of their parent, your sim wants to contribute to the greater good.
Your sim much max the Politician career (either branch) – this overrides your Ascendant Zodiac challenge, dropping any ascendant career challenge to level 4.
If you don’t have City Living, max the heir’s career + charisma and logic and max the friend of the world aspiration.
Transit challenge: Saturn Retrograde indicating struggle to implement self-control. Cardinal or Fire signs only – Cheat/Earn Irresponsible character value trait and change/add Kleptomaniac trait.
Gen 12 – 12th House: House of Subconscious
The 12th house is known as the house of hidden or subconscious things, also known as the house of occult (which means that is hidden/unknown). Strong 12th house placements or difficult planetary transits can indicate struggles with mental health, hidden ailments, and hidden enemies.
Gen 12 is your last heir in the challenge, you have made it through the Ascendant Legacy! As your final heir, Gen 12 concludes the challenge – you must find what has been hidden. You may choose a path on how you finish the final chapter. Depending on your gameplay style,
Solve a mystery (choose between): Strangerville, become an occult of your choosing, complete the Jungle Explorer aspiration, or complete the Grilled Cheese aspiration as and astronaut – the choice is yours!
Own cowplants for your sim’s entire adult life-stage – try not to k-word them or be k-worded.
YOU ARE DONE THE ASCENDANT LEGACY CHALLENGE AND GOOD THINGS WILL COME TO YOU MY FRIEND!
Spacesuitsims (me) note to you – I hope you enjoyed this challenge and send me a message and screenshot of your gameplay, letting me know you found it. I would love to hear your feedback and learn about your sims. I’m not looking for astrology feedback, but I want to hear about your play-through experience.
Thank you so much for playing and share on the #ts4 Ascendant Legacy I will be relogging and liking from the tagged posts!
Note 1: Summary cheat sheet of traits
Unless specified, you don’t need to max all the suggested skills or career, but it is highly recommended that you do. Must achieve at least level 6 in all listed careers and level 4/5 of the way through each skill.
When you see “/” it means a choice between various options (often, because of pack limitations). Nothing or  “ – “ written means your choice.
I’ve used Freelancer as a Base game (BG) option, but I suggest choosing the type relevant to the sign or skills.
Tumblr media
Note 2: I will be making more posts to break down each step and summaries. I will also be making a mod list and gameplay tips all on the  #ts4 Ascendant Legacy tag. Stay tuned.
Note 3: Special Note: Gen 2 and 3 has a special attention to the fact that, as a Canadian simmer, I live on the unseated land of the Indigenous people – First Nation, Inuit and Metis. I am posting this challenge during June, National Indigenous History Month in solidarity. Some links -> here, here, here
I wanted to add some Sims flare to this message and highlight the struggles for the preservation of land rights, access to basic resources such as clean water and healthcare, and need for safety of the women and girls who face exponential levels of danger.
I highly suggest researching the inequities and injustices of Indigenous people in your home country or abroad so that we can work to reconcile with the First Peoples of the lands we call home. This challenge is my way of spreading awareness of this issue to the sims community.
Note 4: If you want to search your own birth chart or find out more about astrology, here are some resources I used to write this challenge and in my own practice to get you started.

What does Saturn moon conjunction in eighth house mean?
A Saturn-Moon conjunction in the eighth house of a birth chart can indicate several potential themes and influences, blending the energies of Saturn, representing structure, discipline, and responsibility, with those of the Moon, symbolizing emotions, instincts, and the unconscious. Here are some possible interpretations of this placement:
Emotional Depth and Intensity: The eighth house is associated with deep psychological processes, transformation, and intense emotional experiences. With the Moon here, emotions are already heightened, and Saturn's influence can add a layer of seriousness and depth to these emotional experiences. Individuals with this placement may have a strong emotional resilience and the ability to navigate through intense feelings with discipline and maturity.
Fear of Loss and Abandonment: Saturn's presence in the eighth house can bring up fears and insecurities related to loss, particularly in intimate relationships or shared resources. There may be a deep-seated fear of abandonment or a tendency to hold onto emotional attachments tightly. Individuals may struggle with trust issues and may be cautious about opening up emotionally to others.
Psychological Depth and Insight: This placement suggests a profound interest in understanding the depths of the human psyche. Individuals with Saturn and the Moon in the eighth house may be drawn to psychology, psychotherapy, or other forms of self-exploration. They may have a keen intuition and insight into the motivations and behaviors of others, as well as their own inner workings.
Controlled Expression of Emotions: Saturn's influence in the eighth house can lead to a more controlled and disciplined approach to expressing emotions. Individuals may be reserved or cautious in revealing their true feelings, preferring to maintain a sense of emotional distance or control. There may be a tendency to suppress or repress emotions, leading to occasional bouts of emotional heaviness or depression.
Financial Responsibility and Planning: The eighth house also governs shared resources, including finances and investments. With Saturn here, individuals may take a serious and disciplined approach to managing financial matters, particularly those related to debts, taxes, and inheritances. There may be a strong sense of responsibility towards financial stability and long-term planning.
Transformative Healing Journey: Saturn's conjunction with the Moon in the eighth house suggests a potential for profound emotional healing and transformation. Individuals may undergo significant personal growth through facing and overcoming deep-seated fears, insecurities, and emotional wounds. Therapy, introspection, and inner work can be powerful tools for self-discovery and healing with this placement.
Legacy and Inheritance Issues: Saturn in the eighth house can also bring attention to issues surrounding inheritance, legacies, and ancestral patterns. Individuals may feel a sense of duty or responsibility towards preserving family assets or traditions, but they may also encounter challenges or restrictions in this area.
As with any astrological interpretation, it is important to consider the entire natal chart and the individual's specific circumstances to understand how the Saturn-Moon conjunction in the eighth house unfolds in their life. Other factors, such as aspects to other planets, planetary dignities, and the overall balance of the chart will also influence the expression of these energies. For which you can take help of Kundli Chakra Professional 2022 software. Which can give you an accurate and better information based on your horoscope.

"congofriends (4/26/24)
You need to know what peatlands are! ⬇️ Amidst the vast tapestry of Earth's ecosystems, peatlands stand out as unsung heroes in the fight against climate emergency. Congo's peatlands in particular play a pivotal role in this global equation. As stewards of our planet's natural heritage, it's imperative that we recognize the profound significance of these wetlands beyond their borders. Peatlands, with their unique ability to store carbon, act as nature's carbon vaults, sequestering vast amounts of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. In fact, they store more carbon than all of Earth's forests combined, making them indispensable assets in mitigating the impacts of climate change and stabilizing our planet's climate. In this global context, Congo's peatlands emerge as vital players, representing a significant portion of the world's peatland ecosystems. Their vast expanse not only stores immense amounts of carbon but also sustains rich biodiversity and regulates water flow on a regional and even continental scale. As we navigate the challenges of a changing climate, it's essential to recognize Congo's peatlands as global treasures that demand our collective attention and stewardship. By safeguarding these invaluable ecosystems, we not only protect Congo's natural heritage but also contribute to the broader effort to secure a sustainable future for all. We must recognize Congo's peatlands as part of our shared planetary legacy, and take action to ensure their preservation for generations to come."

The Birth and Death of Stars: A Cosmic Dance of Creation
Genesis of Stars: Molecular Clouds and Swirling Disks The narrative commences with the captivating genesis of stars within colossal molecular clouds. These clouds, composed of gas and dust, undergo a gravitational collapse that marks the birth of nascent stars. Swirling disks of material envelop these stars, setting the stage for potential planetary system formation. The ignition of nuclear fusion within their cores sparks their luminous inception, illuminating the universe with their radiant glow.
Main Sequence Brilliance: The Shining Phase Stars gracefully enter their main sequence phase, characterized by their brightest shine. Fueled by nuclear fusion's energy, they emit light and heat that traverse the cosmos, shaping the fabric of space and time. During this phase, stars serve as beacons, guiding the way through the celestial expanse.
Transcending Boundaries: The Evolutionary Odyssey Transitions mark the stars' cosmic dance. The destiny of a star is defined by its mass. Smaller stars evolve into red giants, their outer layers gracefully shedding in a display of stellar grandeur. These layers contribute to the formation of captivating nebulae, leaving a celestial legacy. The remnants contract to form white dwarfs, celestial remnants that continue to influence the universe with their gravitational pull. On a grander scale, more massive stars culminate their journey in awe-inspiring supernovae, scattering life-enabling elements across the cosmic stage.
Intriguing Remnants: Neutron Stars, Pulsars, and Black Holes Post-supernovae, the narrative reveals intriguing cosmic remnants. Neutron stars and pulsars, products of certain supernovae, emit detectable radiation pulses, unveiling the universe's extreme conditions. Meanwhile, the grand finale for massive stars leads to the birth of black holes—space-time regions of immense gravity that challenge our understanding of the cosmos.
Eternal Choreography: Stars' Endless Impact The cosmic dance of stars carries profound implications. Elements disseminated by supernovae lay the groundwork for new star formation, perpetuating the cycle of creation. The universe, an interconnected web, thrives on this cosmic choreography. Stars, the masterful choreographers, influence galaxies, facilitate planet birth, and enrich the cosmos with life-essential components. The dance endures, a testament to the enduring narrative of creation, transformation, and interconnectedness in the universe.

Frozen Bloods: The Iron Wolves of Catera
In the grim darkness of the 41st Millennium, where hope flickers like a guttering candle in a blizzard, the Cateran Iron Wolves stand as a monument to the resilience of the human spirit, and an exemplar of the ceaseless will to fight, never surrendering, and laughing in the face of oncoming doom. Hailing from the frozen fortress world of Catera, these men and women are forged from the same unforgiving snow and stone as their desolate home, their hearts burning with the unyielding fire of Imperial loyalty. Their motto, whispered in the echoing tunnels beneath their icy carapace, rings true: "Where the sun dies, the Wolf shall rise."
Catera, their cradle and crucible, lies under a dying sun, its surface an expanse of eternal twilight where temperatures plummet far below the bite of frost in the pale light that barely warms the frozen plains. To survive, the Caterans burrowed deep, carving an intricate tapestry of subterranean dwellings within the planet's icy heart. These cities, monuments to their defiance, pulse with life, each a labyrinthine fortress built upon generations of toil and hardship. Here, amidst the lamplight and rhythmic hum of geothermal generators, thrives a society forged in sweat and steel.
Military service is the way and weft of Cateran life. Every Cateran child, at the tender age of fifteen, is plunged into the icy embrace of the "27 Hammers", a basic training regime lasting 27 body-breaking and will-shattering weeks. This brutal military training, a crucible of discipline and tactics, transforms them into the bedrock of the formidable Cateran Planetary Defense Force. Here, they learn the art of fortification, the grim dance of trench warfare, and the unyielding spirit of siegecraft. Every sandbag, every barbed wire entanglement, is a testament to the Cateran philosophy: turn every battlefield into an unbreachable fortress, a meat grinder that chews up invaders and spits out only dust and ghosts. It is from this pool of unwavering duty that the Imperial Guard draws Catera's greatest strength: the various regiments, legions, and armies that are collectively known as the Iron Wolves.
The influence of the Imperial Fists, who claimed Catera during the Great Crusade, runs deep. Cateran soldiers, their veins coursing with the icy spirit of their homeworld, bear the legacy of Rogal Dorn, the First Fist himself. His campaigns, especially the legendary defense of Terra, are their scripture, studied like hymns and whispered around crackling hearths. Each Iron Wolf officer carries the weight of Dorn's memory, his tactics and strategems etched into their souls.
Though masters of fortification and siege warfare (on both sides of the siege), the Iron Wolves are not chained to Catera's frigid grasp. The Astra Militarum recognizes their unique skills, deploying them across the galaxy whenever a world needs shoring up, a difficult defense cracked open, or a strategic chokepoint held with ironclad tenacity. From the sun-scorched plains of Armageddon to the blasted moons of Agrellan, the Iron Wolves bring their brand of unyielding and resolute warfare to every battlefield.
Yet despite their deathly homeworld and harsh military culture, the Iron Wolves are not mere stoic automata. Beneath their frozen exteriors beats a heart warm with jovial camaraderie and good humor. They crack jokes in the face of oblivion, forge bonds of brotherhood in the frozen mud, and share stories of home and hearth around flickering campfires. Their laughter, echoing through the trenches and tunnels on countless battlefields on countless worlds, is a defiant challenge to the encroaching darkness, a reminder that even in the bleakest of times, the human spirit can find solace in shared hardship, a steaming pot of recaf, and a well-told joke.
This warmth, however, is not a weakness. In fact, it is the fuel that drives their unwavering loyalty, the oil that keeps the gears of their discipline turning. When the order comes to hold the line, the Iron Wolves do so with the icy resolve of their homeworld, their smiles masking an unyielding determination. They fight not just for Catera and the Emperor, but for each other, for the laughter shared in the trenches, and for the stories whispered in the dark. Amongst the ice and iron, they nurture a spirit of defiance that burns far brighter than their failing sun.
Indeed, such is the Cateran reputation for unflinching good humor that a sour disposition amongst the Iron Wolves is not a mere frown, it is a harbinger of imminent doom. Such a thing whispers of losses so staggering, of challenges so dire, that even their legendary humor cannot pierce the suffocating veil of despair. But even then, even in the abyss, there remains a flicker of hope. For the Cateran spirit, like the fire within their mountain-carved homes, refuses to be extinguished.
The Caterans have carved a reputation for themselves as a force who accomplishes even the improbable, and adapts their approach quickly and organically. Though victors of thousands of battles since the Horus Heresy, a handful have become well known even in the greater Astra Militarum.
Seyb, a volcanic moon of a gas giant, was a haven for feral Orks. When Waaagh! Groggnot descended upon the planet, the Planetary Defense, outmatched, called for reinforcements. The 121st Cateran Iron Wolves, veterans of a dozen campaigns, landed in the teeth of the green tide. Trenches were quickly dug in the volcanic ash, and bunkers were reforged from mining outposts. The field (dubbed "No-Orksland" by the soldiers) turned into a maelstrom of scrap and Ork bodies, while the ground trembled and shook with heavy bolters, artillery, and the detonations of munitions set by subterranean sappers. The Iron Wolves turned their position into a labyrinth that froze the Greenskin assault in its tracks. Every Ork charge met a hail of lasfire, every open stretch of land became a killing field. For six long months, the blizzard of ork bodies slammed against the Cateran ramparts, and for six long months, the Iron Wolves held. When Warchief Groggnot fell, his Waaagh! splintered like fractured ice, leaving Seyb littered with green corpses and the satisfaction of the 121st.
On Antoniades, a verdant world poisoned by heretical whispers, the Iron Wolves' 145th laid siege to Hallow Hill, a fortified monastery corrupted by the Word Bearers. Working side by side with the fanatical Black Templars, the Iron Wolves' trenches were like a vise that slowly ratcheted closed, strangling the heretics' mobility while the Templars ground down the monastery's famed defenses. Unable to replenish their resources faster than they had to be used to combat the siege, the heretics' ironclad defense rusted and withered, and despite their conflicting dispositions, the Iron Wolves and Black Templars worked together to make the final breach and purged the entire site.
Few campaigns, however, stand as more legendary than "The War of Secrets", in which whispers of a Necron threat on Aethel led the 77th Iron Wolves to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the Raven Guard. In the desolate ruins of ancient tombs, the shadows held secrets both ancient and deadly. The Iron Wolves, unaccustomed to fighting silent, undying foes, adapted quickly. Their engineers fashioned pulse-warping field generators, disrupting the Necrons' reanimation protocols. Their snipers, equipped with thermal sights to pierce the Necrons' darkness, became wraith-hunters extraordinaire. In the tomb's labyrinthine depths, the Iron Wolves and Raven Guard fought side by side, their contrasting tactics complementing each other like fire and ice. The Iron Wolves, not unknown to the world of dark and shadow themselves, utilized their skills in subterranean construction as well as trench warfare and fortification to provide a series of stable operating bases, while the Raven Guard, cloaked in darkness, infiltrated and destroyed the Necron crypts. The battles were brutal, fought in claustrophobic tunnels and under the cold gaze of Necron technology. In the dim and dingy tunnels beneath Aethel, lasfire met gauss flayers, and entrenching shovels clashed with reanimated blades. Wolves learned to fight shadows, and how to anticipate the cold logic of ancient machines. Their humor morphed into grim whispers, jokes replaced by silent gestures and shared dark nods. The War of Secrets ended with the Necron threat contained, and the Iron Wolves emerged with a newfound respect for the shadows and the silent hunters who lurked within them.
Yet, even the Iron Wolves know the taste of defeat. When the enemy breaches their defenses, they do not crumble. They melt into the shadows, becoming phantoms in their own labyrinthine world. Every tunnel, every ventilation shaft, every forgotten corner within their fortifications becomes another weapon in their arsenal, a stage for a deadly game of cat and mouse, and the Iron Wolves are ever prepared to carry on for years in this manner if necessary, fighting until every shot has been fired twice, and every drop of Cateran blood lost. The enemy may claim victory for a day, but the cost will be etched in blood and bone, a reminder to all that to an Iron Wolf, every fortress they build, no matter the world they find themselves on, is Catera itself -- and the Iron Wolves will never brook Catera to fall.
So, the next time you hear the rumble of lasguns and the roar of tanks on a distant world, spare a thought for the Cateran Iron Wolves. They are the sons and daughters of a frozen hell, but within them burns a fire that no blizzard can extinguish, kept alight by a friendly humor that no darkness can dim. They are the shield and the sword, the fortress and the fox, and they will fight with a hearty laugh and a defiant smile, and most importantly, a steady aim; and they will fight until the last enemy lies cold in the frozen embrace of the void.

Vulcan's birthday came and went, and with tradition, he was allowed to make a wish at the wishing well. Throwing in his coin, he closed his eyes and wished for a higher aptitude for skills, he wanted to learn them faster, more of them, knowledge is power and he wanted that power at his fingertips! The wishing well saw through this, and left him in a fog for hours as punishment. "Can't be trying to take the easy way out little guy." said flint

🐍 Draconis Family | Generation 1
I’m starting the #TS4AscendantLegacy challenge by @spacesuitsims. 💫 It’s an incredibly detailed astrology-based legacy which I am really excited to explore! Full rules can be found here.
*I will include rules & requirements for each generation at the bottom of the post.*
We begin with my Gen 1 Taurus Rising sim, Evangeline Draconis, as a teenager living at her family’s mansion in Willow Creek. The Draconis line comes from old money and is rich beyond all reason, which is where her love for luxury is born. 💸
Tumblr media
Draconis family mansion in Willow Creek
💞 Gonzalo and Selina Draconis are proud parents to one dog, Ryder, and six children: young adult Kellan, teen Evangeline & her twin Ciaran, twin children Sawyer and Arcturus, and infant Tate.
Those two certainly got their wish for a large family and are always extremely busy between raising the kids, working full time (Gonzalo is in business & Selina is in law), leading the Game Makers club for the wealthy and elite, and being there for each other. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Luckily, a full-time butler has always lived onsite to help manage the household.

🏙️ Kellan just moved into his first apartment in San Myshuno, where he’s focusing on his music and becoming fast friends with his neighbors, who are all of a similar age.
Evangeline and Ciaran both excel in school and are learning to balance their education alongside their new jobs — Evie works in retail and Ciaran is a lifeguard. 🛟 The twins are extremely close and love to cause mischief, both at school and sometimes at home due to their love of mary jane. 💨
Meanwhile, Evie’s relationship with close childhood friend Max Villareal has begun to blossom into something more…

📜 Gen 1 Rules & Requirements
Taurus Rising ♉️
Taurus is a fixed earth sign, finding comfort in the home and in the material world. Often having a taste for luxury, this Venus ruled sign loves to pamper themselves and enjoy the good things in life. Taurus can be stubborn, grounded in their beliefs and values and uncompromised when in comes to change as they feel they must control all aspects of their lives to be fulfilled. Taurus must learn that accepting a genuine helping hand and guidance will help, not hurt them.
Traits: Lazy, Foodie // Aspiration: Master Mixologist
Career: Choose (Retail)
Modality: Fixed Earth // Planetary Ruler: Venus
Complete an aspiration in the creativity category (Child: Creative Genius)
Overindulge in an area of life (juice, parties, romantic partners, gossip)
Course correct after making two friends/romances into negative relationships (over -65 red) and rebuild the friendships back to good friends, swearing off the bad behavior and finding balance
Gen 1 - 1st House: House of Identity 🧘🏻‍♀️
The first house is the house of self, it represents the native (aka the person) - their personality and physical body, their interests and view on life, etc. The first house focuses on the individual, unlike many other areas of the birth chart. The Ascendant is always in the first house and their positioning sets up the rest of the chart - much like your founder sets up your legacy family. Explore, grow, and create a legacy of your own. The goal of this Gen is to find your sim’s identity.
Complete the Renaissance Sim aspiration
Play with 3 difficult lot challenges at all times (I’m applying this rule when Evie becomes a YA)

Nonfiction Thursday: Space Exploration
Off-Earth by Erika Nesvold
Can we do better in space than we've done here on Earth?
We've pinpointed the destination, refined the technology, designed the habitat, outfitted our space residents. Are we forgetting something? A timely reminder that it's not just rocket science, this thought-provoking book explores the all-too-human issues raised by the prospect of settling in outer space. It's worth remembering, Erika Nesvold suggests, that in making new worlds, we don't necessarily leave our earthly problems behind. Accordingly, her work highlights the complex ethical challenges that accompany any other-worldly venture—questions about the environment, labor rights, and medical ethics, among others.
Space settlement is rapidly becoming ever more likely. Will it look like the utopian vision of Star Trek? Or the dark future of Star Wars? Nesvold challenges us to decide.
Hubble Legacy by Jim Bell
Looking deep into space, by definition, means looking back in time—and the Hubble Space Telescope can look very far back, including at stars, nebulae, and galaxies that are millions, even billions, of years old. If there is a single legacy of Hubble as it turns 30 years old and nears the end of its useful life, it is this: It has done more to chronicle the origin and evolution of the known universe than any other instrument ever created. Hubble has also captured an astounding collection of ultraviolet images that include geysers of solar light, Mars’ famous dust storms, exploding stars, solar flares, globular clusters, and actual galaxies colliding. As for scientific milestones, Hubble has helped us learn that the universe is 13.8 billion years old, that just about every large galaxy features a black hole at its center, and that it's possible to create 3-D maps of dark matter.
Hubble Legacy will not only feature the most stunning imagery captured by the telescope, but also explain how Hubble has advanced our understanding of the universe and our very creation.
Worlds Without End by Chris Impey
Planet Earth, it turns out, may not be the best of all possible worlds—and lately humanity has been carelessly depleting resources, decimating species, and degrading everything needed for life. Meanwhile, human ingenuity has opened up a vista of habitable worlds well beyond our wildest dreams of outposts on Mars. Worlds without End is an expertly guided tour of this thrilling frontier in the search for planets with the potential to host life.
With the approachable style that has made him a leading interpreter of astronomy and space science, Chris Impey conducts readers across the vast, fast-developing field of astrobiology, surveying the dizzying advances carrying us ever closer to the discovery of life beyond Earth—and the prospect of humans living on another planet. Since the first exoplanet, or planet beyond our solar system, was discovered in 1995, over 4,000 more have been pinpointed, including hundreds of Earth-like planets, many of them habitable, detected by the Kepler satellite. With a view spanning astronomy, planetary science, geology, chemistry, and biology, Impey provides a state-of-the-art account of what’s behind this accelerating progress, what’s next, and what it might mean for humanity’s future.
Alien Oceans by Kevin Peter Hand
Where is the best place to find life beyond Earth? We often look to Mars as the most promising site in our solar system, but recent scientific missions have revealed that some of the most habitable real estate may actually lie farther away. Beneath the frozen crusts of several of the small, ice-covered moons of Jupiter and Saturn lurk vast oceans that may have been in existence for as long as Earth, and together may contain more than fifty times its total volume of liquid water. Could there be organisms living in their depths? Alien Oceans reveals the science behind the thrilling quest to find out.
Kevin Peter Hand is one of today's leading NASA scientists, and his pioneering research has taken him on expeditions around the world. In this captivating account of scientific discovery, he brings together insights from planetary science, biology, and the adventures of scientists like himself to explain how we know that oceans exist within moons of the outer solar system, like Europa, Titan, and Enceladus. He shows how the exploration of Earth's oceans is informing our understanding of the potential habitability of these icy moons, and draws lessons from what we have learned about the origins of life on our own planet to consider how life could arise on these distant worlds.

Ignore if you're not interested, but I always thought something that could have been interesting with Megatron would be having Cyclonus as a semi-antagonistic character to him. The traits that he's a religious scholar, older than a unified Cybertron (and presumably lived through a successful planetary conquest), and worked for an entirely different and more "successful" gladiator-turned-warlord could give him some interesting angles to challenge Megatron on that other characters wouldn't think to.
Oh no, anon! I think this is a very interesting angle.
I've always thought that is fascinating that Megatron rose up against the legacy of the primes and ended up acting just like Nova anyway. Particularly in Nova's dream of Pax Cybertronian and that Megatron was better than any Prime in colonizing alien planets. So it was kind of a pity that he wasn't around for Barber's "Cybertronian sins" plot.
Having Cyclonus make the comparison himself is a great idea!! He was around to see Nova unite Cybertron and then try to expand beyond, and he also missed the second civil war, the events that led to it and doesn't side with either Autobots or Decepticons, so you can't accuse him of having faction bias. Cyclonus is also not phased by the idea of Megatron and is generally someome that speaks his mind (but not his heart), so it wouldn't really be hard for him to confront Megatron.
I really really really wanna see someone directly compare Megatron to Nova and Galvatron to Megatron's face. Lol Megs would hate it but it's true!!!
