Ok first off we gotta get the basic facts down. This boy may be sweet as sugar, but he’s also one lazy mother fucker. And For the most part, I’d say that he really doesn’t change much from when he was a kid. The most I can say about him, is he definitely is a lot more confident being in front of people, ( I mean that’s kinda his job now, but bear with me) and has become less awkward around people. Very different from when he first met Hinata, he can actually hold a good and relaxed conversation now. That’s not to say he isn’t introverted anymore, (he definitely still would rather be at home) but he is more confident in himself to be able to actually be able to engage with someone. Is he gonna go out of his way to talk to someone? Hell no, but he can at least handle being approached without overthinking and triggering his anxiety.

This definitely also translates to his relationship with you. You still will have be the one who makes the first move, or at least initiating conversations.

But one things for sure, once he likes you, he loves you. Like wanting to wife you up regardless of gender. And I feel like, (later on in the relationship ofc) if you ever had kids, he would be the best most present dad ever. Like he wouldn’t be a house husband, (his YouTube gig is completely paying for your mortgage) but because the majority of what he does has him, stream for like an hour, go on call for a few minutes, or just edit his videos for a bit, he would be able to make a lot of time for any and all children he has. But that’s way later on in the relationship.

Once he’s comfortable in the relationship with you, I can definitely see him involving you in his content. Not like a whole boyfriend and girlfriend couples channel, but like a once a year “reacting to fucked up shit with my girl” type beat.

these two are absolute sisters your honor

I won't deny that sagiri is beautiful like I swear have you seen her and the way she fights back despite men looking down on her and how she swings her sword? plus episode 6 highlighted her being able to balance her emotions, making her gently kill rokurota. ugh perfection. chef's kiss. 1000/10 rating.

but ya know I don't get why people have to be like "Sagiri is way prettier and hotter but too bad Gabi is not in love with her" like what do you mean too bad? like ???? idk if it's just me but does gabimaru have to appreciate her being hot or what? plus ya know gabi is not into the appearance anyways. he even said in the latest episode (which is episode 7 as of this writing) that appearances really don't matter.

plus I don't get why people love comparing yui and sagiri's physical appearance against each other and saying "this girl is prettier" yada yada when they are both best girls with distinct beauty. in fact, there is an interview with Chainsaw Man author Tatsuki Fujimoto about Hell's Paradise author Yuji Kaku where he discussed about drawing female characters. according to Fujimoto-sensei, Kaku-sensei always drew his female characters beautifully in an aesthethic manner and his reason behind this is bcos "all girls are cute regardless so we must always draw them as cute girls" (not exact quote but you get what I mean) that's why Fujimoto-sensei added he has been trying to draw his female characters as cute as possible. so yeah both sagiri and yui are cute and pretty or whatnot. they just exhibit different vibes like sagiri has major main female chara vibes while yui is def softcore cottagecore vibes 🥰🥰🥰

besides, no matter what people say, yui will still be the most beautiful person in gabimaru's eyes. he even said so in both manga and episode 7.

note: he used the word "utsukushii" for the term "beautiful" and in Japanese, using this term means you really find a person so beautiful inside and out that it moves you emotionally so the mere fact gabimaru described yui in this manner despite her telling him that she's ugly is something else 😭🥺💖

here's MY NOT SO CONTROVERSIAL TAKE on this one bcos you all know my answer.

it is no doubt that gabimaru can take on multiple wives. after all, gantetsusai mentioned he has multiple wives across japan. plus their time period allows men to marry multiple women so people making this statement knows what they are saying.

HOWEVER!

I actually don't think gabimaru will engage in this sort of thing (see, I told you my opinion on this is not controversial hehe) and here's why.

we all know that osa (aka iwagakure village chief) killed gabimaru's parents and took gabimaru in, even to a point where gabimaru literally lives in the village chief's home like some sort of special treatment.

however, I think one reason gabimaru got special treatment is bcos both of his parents are high-class shinobis (like jonin level) and ofc osa saw his potential that maybe "ah this kid might inherit his parents' ninja skills or something"

plus, osa doesn't have any sons to begin with bcos surprise surprise YUI HAS NEARLY 20 HALF SISTERS with her being the eighth daughter. and accdg to Kaku-sensei, there is a major possibility of yui and gabimaru meeting as children (but alas it is hard to tell since yui has so many sisters). and yes this is all mentioned in Jigokuraku Kaitai Shinsho (pls someone translate this huhu)

so when tsuki (the toasted marshmallow gabimaru that we know) became the 58th gabimaru by killing the 57th gabimaru, he was rewarded for his skills and intellect by marrying yui. but the thing is, it's a common talk among iwagakure ninjas that osa has been looking for a successor and bcos he doesn't have a son, the only choice is to have gabimaru marry into his family (which is common in Japan)

in short: women in iwagakure are not only beaten, but also treated as baby-making factories (ofc some of them become kunoichis but most of them just become a housewife that takes care of dozen babies). doesn't matter how young or old. as long as you can get pregnant, then you go do your duty for iwagakure. hence why yui loathed this kind of set up and when she voiced out her want for normalcy, she paid the price by having her face scarred.

but what if a girl doesn't get pregnant? ahh then the guy will take another wife, get her pregnant, then process repeat and repeat. it's a cruel cycle that never ends.

in osa's case, it took him like so long before finally accepting his wives cannot give him a son. and in my own opinion, these things can influence gabimaru into not having a harem marriage in the first place. like imagine marrying multiple women just for the sake of a duty.

besides, given how bad he's down for yui, I don't think he would want another woman other than her. like srsly gabimaru has so much respect for her and having a harem marriage would defeat every single thing he and yui are fighting for.

Completely floored at this post I saw today where someone said their husband said David Tennant “looks queer.” idk if they’re in a ✨ kweer ✨ relationship, or if that’s just a straight man, but it felt so out of pocket and disrespectful

David Tennant talked about how he was bullied and straight up beaten for “looking gay” as a kid; it just made me think of those kids calling him queer and literally hate crime-ing him, and it feels really, really insensitive. Doubly because, based on what we know, he’s straight; this man basically said “lol he looks like a fag” and this person took it as an “uwu us queers stay together” moment

I feel like I’d be called overly sensitive or muh terf-y dogwhistle if I said this on main, but man, it’s really bothering me. I’ve never had an issue with people self ID-ing as queer, even though I don’t use it myself, but this was sort of a, “oh *wow*, you people really aren’t ✨ queer ✨ at all and have no idea of decorum or respect” moment. I’m glad you have sense and get why this is so wildly rude and borderline (if not fully) homophobic

People have gotten really bold with the terms they use online, I feel like I’ve been seeing things like “queer”, “fruity”, “limp wrist(ed)”, and even the f slur being slung around so often. It’s like people have forgotten what these terms and slurs actually mean, and have reduced them down to some sort of aesthetic. Which unfortunately makes sense, considering how obsessed with aesthetics the internet is. It’s like, you’re either a “clean girl”, a “mob wife”, or a “fruity little queer”. And it’s all just clothes and shaping yourself into something you’re not just to fit a trend.

So at this point, I really don’t think that when they say “wow he looks so ✨queer✨”, they’re even thinking about same sex attraction. They’re just thinking about quirkiness and colourful clothes. And that’s where the problem is; forgetting that this word you’re throwing around is actually a slur used against a minority group, aka same sex attracted people. And that there’s actual pain attached to those words. In the case of a (as far as we know) straight man mistaken as “queer”, it’s just regular pain from being bullied. But from what I gathered from a DT interview where he talked about this, he seemed to understand how much deeper it would hit for a kid who actually was SSA. So yeah, definitely an odd case to be applying the “wow so queer so quirky!” Thing to.

Anyway, the trendification of “queer” is exactly why I tend to not trust people who self-ID as “queer”, too. Because I know there’s a good chance they aren’t actually SSA, they just go by they/them pronouns and wear gnc clothes sometimes. Or they think dressing up in the “queer” clothing trend makes them the same as an LGB person. And they have no respect for or understanding of the history of that word. They just see it as a silly word that makes them cool.

I’m sure there’s LGB people who do call themselves queer, and that’s fine. They have the right to reclaim a slur personally (as long as they don’t go using it for others). But at this point I can’t help but feel like, why the hell would you want to associate yourself with people making an aesthetic out of your innate sexuality and a slur used against it?

i love how one of the first people to know about the cheating was shoko and geto, gojo’s friends. personally it means a lot more that the one who talks to y/n about this is not someone close to her like gen or her father, bc we know that shoko and geto voicing their disapproval lends more validity to y/n’s feelings since they’re gojo’s friends. so the fact that his own friends don’t support his bs proves just how wrong the situation is and how y/n’s feelings are very valid

one word: sera. bitch. what a fucking bitch. i was holding back my anger on her bc she ain’t worth it but goddamn i fucking hate her sm. i hate her even more when she smiled???? after gojo fucked her??? like i understand why she would think gojo genuinely wanted to fuck her raw and cum in her but by god i would do anything to smack that smile off her face. first, she installed the fucking app. second, the audacity to even go up to y/n and what? assert her dominance? bitch the entire world would never side with you. y/n is the legal wife and you’re just pathetic cheating scum. hope hoejo’s dad deals with her filthy ass and that of her family’s so they don’t spawn anymore!!

another one: geto. i know we had our reservations abt him at first, but it’s nice to finally see him making a stand. i think he’s beginning to see y/n as a friend after he got to know her, wc is great bc y/n needs all the support she can get, and where else to get it than from her stupid husband’s friends. i like how sera mentioned this isn’t the first time geto and gojo have fought, but i admire how he’s basically stepping in and telling gojo to make a fucking decision. bc honestly gojo’s indecision is what’s fucking things up for everybody. even for stupid sera. someone needed to tell gojo that he is indeed becoming like his father and it’s only fitting that geto is the one to do it bc y/n doing it (as she alluded to when they were fighting) just made gojo angrier and clouded his senses since he still has some misplaced anger towards her.

the fight: okay i was lowkey half-hoping y/n is rushed to the hospital of smth shsjsjsks but damn it still hurt either way 🥲 finally, everything has come bursting out. i’m glad y/n got to speak her side of the story but oh how poetically unfortunate that gojo only felt remorse after (1) making y/n cry so hard she passed out, and (2) raw fucking that sera bitch. i know you said gojo’s character will really start changing in ch 9 so i’m actually very excited to see how you will flesh him out even more

ok so about the last part. i think what i find most painful is the fact that we KNOW gojo will regret fucking sera raw. and i personally find it sm harder to hate someone who would inevitably regret his actions. like, for me it’s better if gojo actually intentionally, wholeheartedly fucked sera raw without any care for the world bc then i could bask in my hatred for him. the feeling i have right now resembles that one painting of ivan the terrible killing his son and the visceral look of regret that came on his face right after. it’s like when you do something so bad no matter how much you regret it, it’s already too late to do anything.

moving forward, i def think sera will become pregnant. it makes sense narratively. it was foreshadowed earlier in the chapter with the period tracker, and with sera actually telling y/n about the possibility that she will get pregnant. but i think where it will differ is in the part where sera says that if this happens, gojo will be hers. bc the total opposite will happen. poetic justice? definitely 😁

now idk if gojo will be able to convince sera to abort the fetus. but either way, i’m with gojo’s dad on this one 🏌️🏌️🏌️ club tf outta these hoes !!! i honest to god hope gojo gets a good flogging once his dad finds out abt the pregnancy. i’m sorry he had to suffer during his childhood but fuck that, he hurt other ppl (y/n, his mom) so bad he deserves it and more.

all in all this chapter was so intense. when y/n and gojo had their confrontation i felt like i wanted to scream just like y/n shsjsjskk. thank u for writing this series and i hope u have a good weekend!! 💕

so i think the progression of the story will go from the climax (ch 8) to a separation (whether official or not), to a reunion (now idk where this will go from here). i could see gojo and sera trying to work it out but things ultimately falling apart. then maybe gojo and y/n would reunite again to talk things through. i don’t think an official divorce will happen but i totally see y/n leaving for a while maybe to pursue things that will make her happy, with the open ending being one where she and gojo will promise to meet again someday when she’s ready. this time, gojo will be the husband waiting for her to return home :)

aaaaa i just wanna say (again) that i love this series sm and it gives me life every week. i love going thru ur asks in between each update and i know the angst will hurt me sm but it’s just soooo good!
