Final project for my Character Design class, in which we had to create a lineup of characters for the same story/universe. I came up with a fun little story about a human fella joining a Star Trek-style crew of aliens aboard a flying saucer, and these are they!
The model for the chicken (with different legs) revolves on the Boston Common carousel The real-life zebra (in different livery) is on the Memphis Zoo carousel.

If you have to stage a difficult conversation, put it somewhere unlikely and distracting, like on a carousel.
(The really tough confrontations and interventions, though, you have them on a rollercoaster or a free-fall drop.)

I had a Homestar Runner "creepypasta" in my mind for some time, and this was one of the scenes in that "creepypasta". I'm planning on making that "creepypasta."
Separate from the novel I'm writing, I've been practicing various forms of digital art - specifically trying to step up my sketching and illustration game.
Right now, I'm working on watercolor.
As part of that practice, I'm developing a story I wrote 19 years ago. I failed to work with three different artists in developing it for various reasons, but it never really left me - a sort of monkey on my back. Seeking relief and some direction in my watercolor practice, I'm developing the short story as a verticle webtoon.
