"So? You feeling excited~?"
"Umm, I guess so? More like a bit scared..."
"Hehe, I get that. Shit, I'd be nervous, too, starting my honeymoon off with that hunk of a man...Oop! Speaking of, here he comes now..."
You watch your best friend, Utahime, poke to the side with their chin, and you turn to see the direction they pointed to. Tonight was the night of your wedding; the boisterous atmosphere by your guests was still alive and well but will soon wane by the second as the moment you've been anxious about has finally come. You're about to walk out of the venue to the SUV, waiting for you to head to the airport. But before you could do that, someone else had to accompany you. Your groom, the man you married today, walked towards you.
The day you'd see yourself get married to Toji Fushiguro was a day you couldn't foresee. Even after a long while being in a committed relationship with the older man, it's still hard to believe that he proposed to you on your birthday a year and a half ago. Five years of loving and being patient together all led to this moment, and it still baffles you that you are no longer a girlfriend — but a wife. And he, your husband.
Now that the party is coming to a close and pictures are almost finished taken, Toji approaches you outside his wedding attire. Finished changing out of his wedding tux, now substituted with a black turtleneck and dark jeans, a silver chain decorating around his neck. He surveys your changed appearance, your stunning white dress replaced with a comfortable yet elegant jumpsuit that compliments your beautiful skin and figure. He gives you a grin, and your heart swoons. "Lookin' gorgeous, baby."
Your cheeks grow warm, averting your eyes somewhere away from your handsome spouse. "Thank you...you too."
"Awww, look at you being all shy!" Utahime pokes fun at you, snickering to themself when she sees you glare at them. "You better be good to this one, Toji. They just might faint if you look their way~."
The man chuckles at the comment. "Maybe that's what I'm hopin' for, now that I got 'em all to myself." He then moves closer to pull you by the shoulder, your body rigid being towed to his chest, and you just know your friend has a stupid look of glee from the display of affection. "Ready?"
You incline to face him and give a meek nod. He kisses your cheek with a smirk, and Utahime squeals before heading to the front door in front of you. Busting it open to showcase the crowd awaiting your arrival, you two walk down in unison as the guests cheer for the newly wedded couple.
As you make it down the aisle, you look around and share smiles with the familiar faces that came and had fun at your wedding until the blazing sun was replaced with the happy moon. Friends and family clapping their hands to you and your husband, wishing and shouting praises and good luck for the two of you. You saw Mei Mei blowing kisses your way, Gojo lifting his shades to wink at you, and your college buddies chanting your name with your relatives.
On the other side, you could make out Shiu Kong in the far back, taking out the cigarette between his lips and waving goodbye to you and his friend. Geto stands at the front, smiling while his two daughters yell, "Congratulations!!" as you descend. And at the end stands Nanami with a small smile, and beside him are Toji's children. Tsumiki, your pretty flower girl, comes to give you a hug. Megumi, the once stoic ring bearer, followed his sister to do the same.
You return the embrace to the kids, telling them to promise to be good until you return and proceed to walk into the backseat of the car. Toji closes your door and walks to the other side to take his seat, and a roar of applause and cheers erupts when the vehicle drives out of the scene. A tremendous wave of tranquility washes over you now that you're away from the gathering; the wedding is officially over.
However, after you release a long sigh and rest your eyes with shut eyelids, you hear the sound of a seatbelt unbuckling and something — or someone — moving closer to you. And a pair of lips on your neck has you snap your eyes back open.
"T-Toji!" You yell at him in a hushed tone, taking note of the driver in front of your seat. "Not here, wait til we're at—"
"I know, sweetie, I know," he says but resumes arranging your neck and clavicle with kisses. "You just look so fuckin' beautiful; can't a guy have a small piece of his wife before then?" As if you could give him a proper answer before he brings his lips onto yours, your moans taken by him while he sucks and nibbles on your bottom lip.
You grab his turtleneck as you try to suppress the whimpers from airing out, not wanting the driver to hear what's happening in his car (although he's secretly listening to his own music with his earphones). But when Toji's hand snakes down to your butt and gives it a squeeze, you squeak. "Toji!" you whisper shout at him again, and all you're given is a snicker from the sly bastard you're stuck with.
"Shhhhh, lemme have you fr' just a second." Your tiny glare fuels his hunger more, taking your lips once more. And he toys with you throughout the ride to the airport. Such a liar!! You cursed, but this moment was bound to happen.
Despite spending many years together, how you've managed to still be a virgin is still a mystery even to you. You never thought so much about letting your virginity go, so you treated it as something sacred that you only wished to give to the right person. However, when the right person came through, you realized you still weren't ready to let it go. Bless your lucky stars, though, that your [former] boyfriend opted to wait for you, even when you said that it would probably happen when you two get married. You thanked the heavens for having such a patient man, as it showed how much he loved and treasured you.
...But having such a patient, attractive, and brawny man in your life for so long was not an easy task on your part. There have been moments when you'd fantasize about the fateful day Toji would deflower you, so much so there were nights your fantasies took the best of you, and your fingers slithered down the hem of your panties. Or the days when your eyes would linger on his strong, muscular body for too long before your face would feel as hot as the sun, and you'd want to melt on the spot when Toji catches you glancing, a giant smirk plastered on his face. Or times when he'd be too horny, and you'd offer to help him with his erections. Your blowjobs and handjobs would do more bad than good for both of you. Because Toji's desire for you increased day by day.
So ever since you walked down that aisle, you knew your eventual doom was coming to get you. Even when you two fly on your honeymoon, you sense his patience dwindle by the hours. And once you make it to the enchanting luxury suite, he finally snaps. Hoisting you up bridal style and storming right to the bed, clothes discarded to the floor, and lights dimmed to a softer glow.
"Ahhhnn!! Ahhaaa!! Tojiii!! It's too much!! Too mu—Mmnaaah!" He's now between your thighs, your legs propped up by his strong hands and cunt coated with your wetness out for him to see. Your cries are ignored by the obdurate older man, who flicks your clit with his tongue.
"I know, , but gotta have you right fr' me." He coos, chaste kisses set on your inner thighs. "Don't wan' break my baby on their first night." His words meant out for comfort, yet contrasted with the raunchy, lewd noises he was making on your slit. Licking and sucking on your moist folds, teeth grazing your sensitive vulva while his tongue satiates his thirst with your slick. His nose bumping into your clitoris in the midst of it all has you gripping the shits beneath you.
Tears prickle the ends of your shut eyes, your face hot like the air in the room, and your body sweaty and shivering from being in this position for about fifteen minutes. Toji said that the best thing for you was to have him tease and get your body ready. Nevertheless, had you known that you'd have the man eating you out nonstop like this, you would've prepped yourself better! It's so bad that your head pounds, his wet muscle attacking your chasm precisely to the point of your mind being stuck in a haze. No wonder you're constantly jolting, and your legs won't stop shaking — you've come three times already!!
"Hey, mama," you hear him call you, but you can't format a functional sentence now. You respond with gibberish you hope he can make sense of. "Say my name, and I'll let ya cum."
"T...Toji—Eeeyaahh!" He sucks on your clit with vigor; you could've sworn you almost choked on a gasp.
"Aht aht, the other one." Emerald eyes examine your direction.
You bite your lip at the patronizing tone of his voice. You know what he's referring to; it's just too embarrassing to say. For the sake of putting an end to this pleasurable hell and getting what you really want, however, your tongue burns at what you say next.
"Mmmm, please, Daddy...Please, let me cum. I want it!" You whine with hooded eyes looking down at him, and his devilish grin almost makes you melt. Without saying another word, his mouth returns to your leaky cunt. But this time, he brings a. hand down south, and his fingers rub rough circles on your delicate bud, the two sensations shocking your body into an experience you've never experienced before.
It's only a matter of seconds that you come right then and there, your body jerking and legs quivering in sync with your walls clamping onto nothing. And your cries don't stop there, more wails fill the room as Toji drinks your creamy substance for the fourth time that night. His tongue protruded into your spongey core and roughly licked on its tender nerves.
You appreciate the moment he lets you rest for a few seconds after removing his mouth from you, your shivering body slowly calming down to a stable state. You feel so sticky and dirty with the mess between your legs, coated with come and spit. So vulgar to even think about it that your ears ring.
Toji licks his lips of your wetness, "Did s' good fr' me, mama. Such a good girl fr' Daddy." He then stations your legs around his waist, and you peer down to watch him align his erect cock to your entrance. "Ready, cutie? Gonna need ya' to take some deep breaths fr' me, okay?" You nod and follow his instructions. The head of his cock pushes to you with every exhale, and your eyes automatically sew shut when his girth bullying your entrance brings in pain. Your hands find purchase on his shoulders, nails digging into tan skin as you fight the discomfort.
But it all slowly vanishes once the tip slides in, a sharp cry escaping you. More whimpers and choked sobs fly out when he gradually pushes his length into you, tears striking down as his girth stretches your insides.
"Mmmm, holy fuckin' shit," he curses under his breath. "You're so tight, baby." You can only hum as a reply before his hips start moving at a slow cadence. The feeling of his dick between your walls is hard to comprehend. It's finally happened; you're no longer a virgin. So full of him inside you, unable to put into words the feeling you're experiencing right now.
It takes every part of his being for Toji to keep his ruts to a slow pace. He knows this is a big moment for you — it's necessary that you don't get too overwhelmed by him, or else something could go completely wrong. And he wouldn't want that for you. Despite that, a part of him really wants to relish your body. Five years of waiting for you to be ready for him. Five years of fighting the urge to pin you down and have you to himself. Five years of desire all crumble down for this exact moment. Now, when he finally has you for himself and no one else, the patience that was once there converts into that of pure lust.
His hips increase speed, and your hands cling onto him for dear life. The walls of your chasm clamp into him even harder, and your legs wrap around him, Toji groaning at your grip on him. He snickers through gritted teeth, "Jesus Christ, mama, y'r tryin' to snap my dick off? I'm not goin' nowhere." He coos while wiping tears from your eyes.
You open your mouth to say something, but all that leaves your mouth is a scream when he slams his pelvis into your cunt. The action has you arch your back toward him, his length brushing up on the sweet spots that you never considered were there. More mewls bounce off the walls of the suite as his thrusts recur with a vigorous rhythm.
"Daddy, I'm, Oh Jesus—Aiishhhh!!" You hiss out for him, eyes rolling back when he grinds his pelvis on your messy vulva. Squelching noises burn your ears. "I'm gonna cum, Daddy, I wanna cum!"
"Hnngh!! Yeah, sweetie, think y'r gonna cum?" He draws down closer for his lips to be dangerously close to your ear. Your slit clutching hard on his dick. "Wanna cum on Daddy's dick like a good girl?"
"Yes, yessss! Please, I want it!!" You wail out, no regard to how loud your voice is right now. All you want is your orgasm.
Toji's chuckle is too close to your eardrums. You squirm under him, and he playfully bites the lobe of your ears. "Go 'head, darlin'. Make a real mess on me, ya hear?" He kisses you lovingly while his hips snap at you at an erratic tempo, prompting uncontrollable moans to enter the air against your will. With every rut is an abrasive hit to the tender spots within you, and your clit doesn't go unnoticed when he brings his hand back down to play with it, grinding on the pearl rough with his calloused forefinger. And it's thanks to this that your fifth release comes to you in mere seconds.
Your husband tries to rut out more deep thrusts into you and plunge into you a while longer. But it's to no avail when your cunt flutters on his cock deliciously, forcing him to succumb to an orgasm of his own. Moans are exchanged between your mouths, and your bodies experience the aftershocks together.
And when the two of you enter a halcyon state with the quiet room, Toji frees your lips off his and wipes your pretty face off of tears and drool. "So," he kisses your cheeks. "How ya feelin'? Like a new person?"
"...I don't think I can feel my vagina anymore." You say aimlessly, happy to know your drained self has the older man laughing.
"Sorry 'bout that, mama." He brings his lips to your forehead. "Be lucky I'm tired from that wedding and flight. Otherwise, I'd be fuckin' the shit out of you all night." He snickers at your helpless expression, shaking your head at such a fantasy. There's all the time in your honeymoon for that.
You use whatever strength you have left to bring your hands to his face to cup. "Thank you for sparing me, my lovely husband."
Toji hums with a smile, the scar on the right of his lip lifted. And he kisses you until fatigue takes over you both, sleep being the only thing that shuts you from the outside world. The warmth of your embrace and the connection of your bodies are proof of the start of your newlywedded life.

< intro masterlist part 2 > (coming soon)
You wander around the woods, returning from another day of working in the city and coming closer and closer to your home when you start to feel uneasy, as if you’re not alone in the forest. You stop and listen, noticing the sound of footsteps close by. With careful steps you approach the sounds, noticing a head full of silvery hair between the trees and watching it carefully.
A man with an eyepatch, dressed in black leather clothes and carrying a long, sheathed sword on his hip. You monitor him carefully; his hands behind his back as he is gazing out into the treeline, he seems to be taking a stroll. But this deep within the forest?
You stalk him for a while, trailing his steps as you make sure to stay hidden. Too busy with staring at him you don't notice a branch on the ground, stepping on it and causing a loud *krack* sound.
The silver haired stranger turns around quickly, facing you and making eye contact. You know it's too late to hide now, as his lilac eye meets yours and a wicked smile forms on his lips
“Hello there, little one. Are you lost?”
“I could ask you the same thing.” You say, looking him up and down more closely now. He doesn’t look like someone that should be wandering this deep into the forest. You notice the tell-tale signs of a Targaryen. You’ve heard of them and noticed a few children with these features when you explored the street of silk once. But who exactly was this man standing in front of you right now?
His mouth twitches, eyes twinkling with mirth. “Oh, I am not lost, little lamb. Simply having a nice stroll to take my mind off the stress of ruling. May I ask who I have the pleasure of finding so deep in the woods?”
“No, you may not.” You answer, staying wary of the stranger. You’re starting to connect the emblems on his clothes and scabbard with the ones you’ve seen on royal guards patrolling the city before, this man must be one of the princes. “You should leave. These woods aren’t a place for a pretty prince like you.”
“My, my, my. So confrontational. Why the defensiveness, my beautiful little lamb? Are you hiding something?” He steps closer to you, his voice now has a hint of danger in it.
“No one wanders this part of the woods. You’re better suited closer to the city.” You say, trying to sound more polite than before, quickly understanding the prince might not appreciate the disrespect.
“Ah, yes, no one wanders this part of the woods. Well, that only makes me wonder how a pretty little lamb like you got herself as deep in here as I did. Unless, of course, you are not alone.” His eye leaves yours, scanning along the tree line before stepping closer once again.
“Relax, this is no ambush. Unless you keep on intruding on my space, then it just might.” You say sternly, hoping to play into his paranoia and get him to leave quickly.
“I do so wish I could believe you, little lamb.” His eye still scans over the tree line as his hand falls to the hilt of his sword. “How do you expect me to relax when a beautiful girl like you is all alone in the woods? You couldn’t have gotten this far without help.”
“I have. You don’t think all that dirt and tools on me are for decoration, do you?” You say, gesturing to the axe tied to your belt, knifes dangling off the bag you carry that’s strung over your chest.
“And what exactly did I catch you doing all alone in the woods, little lamb?” His voice is firm now, eye narrowing as he takes a closer look at you, trying to judge you.
You remain quiet for a few moments before deciding to answer truthfully. “I live here.”
“You live here, little lamb?” His eye scans over you once more. “YOU live in the woods?” His voice is filled with equal measures of surprise and disbelief.
“I do.” You say affirmingly. “And I’m not fond of guests.”
“A woman alone in the wild? No man to protect her? No family?” His disbelief is evident in his voice and expression. “I cannot imagine how a beautiful woman like you has endured out here.”
Upset at his words, you feel anger starting to boil deep inside of you. Women in this time are still property to be owned, another reason why you decided to live out here, away from society. “Cut the feigned sympathy. I live just fine out here.”
“But is it really living, little lamb? Living in the wild? Surely a woman of your beauty must desire the comfort and luxuries of civilization. Do you feel no desire to start a family, to have someone care for you and protect you?” His tone seems kinder now, almost caring, although his disbelief is still clear and you cannot shake the feeling of danger coming from him.
Suspicious at his invasive nature you raise an eyebrow. “What is this? A tea party to exchange gossip?”
“Oh no, little lamb. You are a most fascinating creature and you have sparked my interest. I am merely trying to find out more about who you are.”
“I’m not interested in conversation-“
“Now, now, little lamb, we’ve come this far already. It wouldn’t be very polite to turn down a crown prince like this.” His eye narrows, an obvious predatory hint in his voice as his hand tightens on the hilt of his blade. “It’s appalling for a citizen to turn down their crown prince, my dear little lamb.”
You tighten your jaw, nervous at the sudden turn this situation has taken but unwilling to comply with his orders. “I am not a citizen of yours-“
“Everyone is a citizen of mine!” His words are soothing with anger as his patience has reached its limit and he pulls the blade from its sheath. “Now come closer little lamb. I’ll help you back to the city where you belong, where it’s safe.” He begins to stalk towards you, his dark gaze fixed upon you.
You take a few steps back before you turn around and start running, using the the fact you know these woods like no other to lure him away from where your home is before skillfully outmaneuvering him in the thick forest, hiding successfully in a small cave. The silver haired man tries to follow you, you can hear him yell profanities and curse words as he struggles to keep up with you, eventually getting caught up in the thicket and falling behind. "Damn you!" Aemond shouts as he breaks free of the branches and finds himself standing in a clearing with no sign of the little Lamb in sight. Where the hell did she go? Damn this forest. Damn her.
He inelegantly shoves his sword back into its casing, taking a last long look around the scenery before begrudgingly turning around to make his way back to the city.
The rest of his day is plagued by thoughts about her, remembering every single detail about his encounter with this strange, wild little Lamb. She lives in the woods all alone, with no one to care for her? Surely, he thinks to himself, no one would truly want to do that.
She did seem awfully skilled at maneuvering the trees and avoiding my chase. Could she truly be completely alone? He wonders, staring into the lit fireplace of his chambers, his finger mindlessly tapping along the rim of the almost drained cup in his hand. His interest in the little lamb was definitely piqued. He would venture out into the woods to find her again once his duties allowed him to.
time skip / two weeks have passed
Things went back to normal after the encounter with the stranger, you didn’t see him again, but you did make sure to be extra cautious about your surroundings at all times, avoiding all travelers for the time being.
You’re sitting on a boulder in the river, only your ankles in the water as you sharpen your axe using whet stones from the river while waiting for the fish you caught this morning to finish smoking. You’re deep in thoughts as when you notice an unusual rustling of leaves behind you and catch a glimpse of the familiar silver head through the trees.
Here we go again.
The silver haired man had been stalking the Kingswood once again as he had done for several days since he encountered the strange little Lamb the first time. Searching for any hints as to where she lived, so that he could go back and speak with her again.
His hope was running low when then he finally saw her again, sitting in the river, tending to her tools. His heart skipped multiple beats, he couldn’t quite explain why he felt like this.
Still, she is the only one this far into the woods. No one around to protect her, just like when he had met her last time. This woman was a mystery he was most eager to solve. He slowly and deliberately stalked over to her, taking great care to be as sneaky and quiet as possible.
Even though you had noticed him immediately you keep focusing on your tool, pretending you hadn't noticed him as he approaches, hiding behind the last tree that provides him with cover before he would have to step out into the open.
"What is it you want?" You ask after a while, your voice loud and clear while your eyes are still focused on the task at hand. His attempts to remain hidden are more amusing than anything else.
The man was startled but quickly covers his reaction with his typical demeanor, standing proud with his hands behind his back as he steps out of the tree line and approaches the mysterious beauty carefully, as if trying not to startle her. She had quite a sharp ear. Although, he should have known better. If this little lamb had survived by herself in the woods, hearing the noises of the trees and animals was a skill she must have honed greatly.
Once he’s only a few feet away he stops abruptly, contemplating his choice of words before he speaks in a friendly yet stern manner. "You are quite perceptive little Lamb."
He remains quiet for a while. You’re still focused on your tool, not looking up, as you probe him further. "Speak. I know you've been following me for a while."
“I was simply fascinated with your lifestyle after our last encounter, that is all." He comes a few steps closer, enough to look at her properly, but not so close as to make himself a threat. "Why do you live out here, by yourself? Away from civilization and society?"
"Because I wish to do so." You say, now leaning forward to wash off the freshly sharpened axe in the river water.
"But is there no other reason little Lamb? You do not get... lonely? You do not yearn for society or friends? This forest is cold, dark, and dangerous." The mans voice seems filled with what seems like genuine concern for your welfare.
"The forests seem like that only to those who aren't welcome in them." You say, now looking up at him for the first time this conversation. "What do I get out of sharing my life story with you?"
Aemond's eyebrow quirked slightly at your words. Your words were not aggressive but they were not exactly kind or welcoming either. „You get to answer your crown prince a few questions that have been gnawing on his mind for a while. Who could say it wouldn’t be worth it?”
“I could say. The less people know about me, the better. Easier to stay hidden that way.”
Aemond stays silent after she says that, thinking over her words in his head. Stay hidden from what? From whom? What could make her feel that she must remain hidden... "Tell me, my little Lamb. Who are you hiding from?" Perhaps after finding out that one thing, he can put this obsession to rest.
"Men like you." You answer, now shifting your attention back to your tools, reaching back into the river to fetch out another whet stone to sharpen a big knife now.
"Men like me?" His eye narrows. " I am no threat to you. What could possibly have led you to believe that? You are alone so deep in the woods and I have not shown you any hostility... yet."
"No hostility?" You say laughing. "Chasing me with your sword was what then? A local friendship ritual I’m not familiar with?"
"Oh, I was simply trying to get you to stop and talk to me. That is all." He says, a small smile gracing his lips at her words. He found her laughter quite endearing.
“Didn’t work very well now, did it?”
"No I suppose not," His smile grows slightly, he finds this strange little Lamb's demeanor quite intriguing. He was never great at interacting with women, but this one seemed comfortable in his company, at least somewhat. Even if she was also incredibly untrusting and suspicious of him, or of men in general. He looks at her intently, savouring her smile as he knows his next words will wipe it right off her face again.
“I want to know more about you. I will not leave until you tell me more.” He says and as predicted, her cheeky smile gets replaced with a frown again.
“I told you, I won’t-“ he interrupts her quickly, almost pleading with her, “I know, I know. But I need to know. I cannot rest at night. I will not tell anyone about you. Whatever you tell me, it will not have any consequences, I swear it.”
You sigh deeply, pondering his words. You couldn’t care less for telling your story, the possibility of sharing too much lingering in the back of your mind. Then again, perhaps this is just what you needed. Sharing a bit of your true self with someone after having to carefully craft a fake persona and uphold it for the past two years. “Fine then. What is it you want to know?”
His eyes light up at that statement as he takes his time deciding which one of his many questions he should ask first. “Your accent, it seems out of place. Are you not from here?”
You immedily begin to regret your decision to talk to him, struggling to find a way to phrase the truth in a way it doesn’t sound too outlandish. “No, I am not. I come from a land far away, you wouldn’t know it.”
“Did you come alone?”
“Sort of. I came here with others but they… forgot me. Or maybe they are just unable to return. I wouldn’t know.”  You say, looking out into the flowing river as you remember.
“Forgot you? Why would your family just forget you?”
“They weren’t my family. They were… people I knew. We went here and they left, never to return, at least not until today. They probably told my family I died.” What had they told your family? You often wondered it. The changes of the seasons and moons made it easy for you to tell how much time had passed here, in this world. Did as much time pass back home? Was your family even informed of what truly happened or were they waiting back home for a sign of life that would never come, with no way of knowing your fate?
Aemond is quiet for a while, processing this information. “How long have you been here?”
“I’ve been here two winters already, the coming one will be my third.”
“THAT long?” He blurts out, mind racing. “You have survived here alone all this time, out in this forest, with no family or friends? How?”
A slight smile tugs at the corner of your lips, amused by his disbelief. “Yes, I have. I’m friendly with some of the farmers around here and some merchants. I was fortunate, really, that I was stranded here with a few tools and a bit of money.”
“That could not have been enough to make you survive here. The winters can be hard, as can be nature itself. I don’t know a single woman that would be able to survive like this even with all the tools in the world.”
“I suppose you’re right.” You shrug. This is your normal, all you knew for most of your life, you often forget just how unusual it really is. “I come from a family of farmers. We lived far out, away from civilization, and I learned a lot about nature that way. I am, or was, my parents only child. I spend many years of my childhood in the forest with my dad. He was an avid fisher and knew all the ways around the forest, while my mom taught me all about her knowledge of herbs. She was a healer of sorts.”
Your smile returns as she recalls all her fond memories of home. Oh, how you wished you’d never left the farm. “They bred, trained, and sold horses too. I was strapped to a saddle on my own horse before I could even walk.”
His face shifts from one of shock to one of sympathy. He could tell by your words and the tone your voice takes that you missed home dearly. “And you have no way back?”
“No.” You state plainly. Do you? Truthfully, you do not know, but you surely hope you do.
“Why? If I give you coin for passage, can you go back home?”
“I’m afraid its not that easy.” You huff, struggling to make up an answer to this question. “Unless they come get me, I have no way back. I… I’m done talking about this.” You say, now shaking your head.
He wants to press further but understands he shouldn’t, not if he’d like to keep you talking. “Well then… What are you planning to do here then? You can’t just stay out here forever.”
“Why not?” You conter. “I’ve gotten comfortable out here. I know my way around the woods and can survive quite well out here. I’ve come to appreciate my little life out here quite a lot, actually.”
“Is this really life or is this survival? What about finding a family of your own, what about children?”
You sigh deeply. “I may not have answers to all those questions yet, but I do now I’m content here for now. I have no duties here, no bills to worry about. I just need to figure out my next meal and get to enjoy nature the rest of the time with all the peace and quiet it offers me.”
The change of topic strikes a chord in you, one you didn’t realise was as sensitive as it seems to be. The prospect of having to live out the rest of your days in this time is one that seemed more and more realistic and the question of what you would actually do for the next twenty, forty, sixty years of your life was one burning in the back of your mind more and more frequently.
“I’m done talking for today. You may leave now.” You dismissed the prince, frustration growing inside you.
He is not happy about this, his expression shows this as much as the tone of his voice. “Leave? I just arrived. You can’t just send me away.”
“I do not wish to tell any more stories.” You state. Just as he begins to talk again you turn to face him quickly, looking at him for a few seconds before proposing a compromise. Maybe you just needed some time to gather your thoughts and calm the inner turmoil you can feel bubbling deep inside your chest right now. “How about this: If you can find me again, I will answer you more questions. Anything you want.”
His jaw clenches as he lets out a long sigh. This is not how he wanted this conversation to end but he could tell from her expression that she seemed exhausted and the prospect of getting to ask anything he wanted seemed tempting enough to agree. “Fine then. I will seek you out again soon, but I will not rest until I have all my answers. You must swear you will not avoid me again.”
“I swear it.” You answer, a reassuring smile on your lips. “Have a safe travel back, my prince.”
She had been speaking so freely all this time that hearing her address him properly caught him off guard for a moment. He stands still in place, watching her a bit longer, before begrudgingly turning around to leave after bidding a small goodbye.
As he walks away you turn around slightly, watching the swaying of his silver hair until it disappears completely between the trees. A long, deep sigh escapes your lips as you resume your tasks for the day, thinking about all the questions he asked and what you really wanted from your life now.
You were honest, you did love your life as it was now, but sometimes the solitude did get to you as well. A craving for the love and closeness your family had brought you. As much as you cursed the prince when you had first met him, maybe having his attention on you could be a good thing after all.
He thought his mind would be calmed after speaking to her but to his dismay, the opposite had happened. His head is filled with questions still and worse so, genuine worry about her wellbeing. Yes, his little lamb had survived well by herself, but the confirmation that she was truly alone out there was deeply unsettling to him. When he is laying in bed that night, he realised just how little he knew about her. He didn’t know where she lived – did she have a house or did she sleep under the stars? He had never even asked her name. What would it be? If she is from far away, it surely was exotic.
He keeps tossing and turning that night, the picture of her smiling face filling his mind, even more so when he closes his eye, as if he can see even clearer when the world isn’t distracting him. He tries to sleep but he swears he hears her laugh, still as clear and comforting as it had been when he heard it the first time. A sound so sweet it could lull him to sleep, if only there wasn’t the gaping emptiness next to him, reminding him of your absence, of the fact you’re all alone out there. If something happened to you tonight, would he ever find out? He could not bear the thought of it.
His night stays restless. He falls asleep again and again, dreaming vividly about the way your cheeks rounded when you smiled at him, about the freckles on your nose, the small dimples that appeared under your cheeks when you smiled and over your lips when you pursed your lips in dismay at another thing he said.
It was improper, he knew that much. For a prince, the heir to the throne, to be so enchanted by a forest dweller. Nevertheless, his heart skipped a beat every time he had laid his eyes on her. His mind went back to think about all your interactions at every chance it got, even in the midst of important meetings. He was a devoted and proper man; he knew better and yet, something about her felt so fundamentally right that a future without her seemed wrong.
When the first rays of sunshine broke though his windows he had made his decision. He would go to see her again and this time, he would not leave her behind. He could not. He will find her and bring her – well, where? Somewhere, anywhere he knows she is safe, where he knows he can find her whenever he wants to see her. He will figure it all out, he will find a way to make this work.
His feet soon carry him through the castle, unaware of where he is going until he finds himself in front of two wooden doors. The kings, his brothers, chambers.

Not Letting You Go Easy - Part 2
Tumblr media
Hello friends!! So sorry this took so long. Let me know what you think :) 2.5K Words ❤️
You gasped as you woke, breathing heavy before squinting your eyes at the Florida sun.
It was just a nightmare. The sharp red eyes. The blood spilling. The agonizing clutch of a hand on your throat....just a nightmare.
You must have dozed off, the sound of the waves and thoughts of first meeting Paul putting you in a relaxing slumber. But there was nothing relaxing about what you dreamt up. As you adjusted to sit up, everything started to vanish in your mind. You tried hard to remember the details, but within a minute it was all gone.
Yet you couldn't shake the feeling of fear.
Leaning over to gaze inside the house, you made eye contact with Edward. The man always looked uneasy, but the expression on his face was...different. That's when it clicked.
He read your thoughts. He watched everything.
"Well good morning sleepy head, this weather is just too peaceful not to nap, isn't it?" Your mother beamed from the other side of you, making you turn your head.
"Yep. It's the best. I'm uhhh, gonna go grab a drink." You tried to sound as normal as possible, making a beeline for the door. As soon as the latch clicked in place on on the other side, you faced him.
"What did you see." You said, more so demanded. "I don't know what you're talking about." He swallowed, looking elsewhere now to avoid your hard stare.
"Come on Edward. I know just as much as Bella and I must say, I am more entitled to my own thoughts than you are." You crossed your arms. That made him crack a small smile. "You are more entitled than me, yes. It's just a nightmare. Bella used to have them when I left. They don't always mean something.." He tried to say nonchalantly.
For being alive for hundreds of years, you'd think he'd be better at lying.
You huffed. "I beg to differ. All this supernatural shit isn't just a fantasy anymore." He nodded in agreement. "It's unrealistic, I know. But I do think it was just a nightmare." You narrowed your eyes. "If myself or my sister were in danger, you'd tell us...right?" He hesitated. Pausing for a moment. "I will always protect you both and Charlie." You nodded, turning your back to head for the refrigerator. You weren't going to argue the fact that he didn't answer your question.
Whatever it was, you'd have to find answers from someone else.
- - -
Your back pressed against the kitchen counter as you were trapped in a strong embrace. Heat took over your body, Paul burying his face in your neck. His strong hands roamed every crevice of your body he could. He held you as if his grip loosening would have you slip away. You giggled when he peppered your face with kisses, inhaling your scent like he hadn't had oxygen in days.
"So how much did you miss me?" You teased as he moved his hands up to cup your face, kissing you with every ounce of passion he could muster. He rested his forehead on yours. "I could spend the rest of my life showing you." You could feel your cheeks turn bright red.
"GAGGG!" You jumped at Jared's loud introduction when he entered the house, making him and Quil who had followed snicker.
"Scare my girlfriend like that again Jared and I'll kick your ass." Paul said with a glare. Jared threw his hands up in defense with a mouth full of food.
You whipped your head to look at Paul again. "Girlfriend?"
It was Paul's turn to blush. While it was quite obvious that you two were together, and imprints, you were nervous to call him your boyfriend. The relationship was going what felt perfectly and you didn't want to screw up anything by labeling it too fast.
After all, he only imprinted on you two months ago, and had never been in a relationship before. Emily had told you in private that he would never even mention a girls name, because no one ever became more than a hook up. You also learned that he never believed he would find his imprint. He had a raging temper that apparently subsided a lot once he found you.
The pack, though teasing, was grateful for that.
You had become closer with Emily the past few weeks. Kim as well. They helped you understand imprinting, and navigating their crazy lifestyle. They were a good confidants, and you looked up to both like sisters. Bella was okay and all, but since finding Edward your relationship had grown distant. No hard feelings for that anymore, not when you had this second family.
Before either of the boys could make a comment at Paul's redden cheeks, Sam's loud voice boomed from the front door.
"Boys, I need you in the yard. We have something we need to discuss." Sam looked around, and held your gaze for what felt like longer than everyone else. You could feel Paul stiffen.
"I'll be right back baby," he quickly pecked your forehead before running after the others outside.
Emily and Kim watched them pass as they came in with groceries. They both smiled seeing you. "Boy are we glad you're back. Paul was getting a little too cranky," Kim laughed. You did too, helping them start to put everything away. It was silent for a few minutes before Kim said what you were already thinking.
"What was that all about with Sam? Sounded serious."
Both your eyes went to Emily who had a somber expression, different from her usual positive and bubbly attitude. She sighed.
"I don't know any specifics yet. I can sense when he's worried and, well, I just don't have a good feeling." She said.
"Do you think it's the red head that they've been after?" Kim offered, and you froze.
"I do. I'm just hoping they can actually work with the Cullens. The more help they have against her the better."
"What red head?"
Now both of them looked at you.
"Paul didn't....he didn't tell you?" Kim whispered, like it was now a secret.
"No. He did not. Please, someone enlighten me."
Kim and Emily shared a look.
Emily shrugged, "Someone has too," before you all made your way to the table.
Emily poured you coffee, and explained that Victoria was in the area. Immediately, you remembered she was part of the rogue trio that tried to hunt down your sister. You learned that she had been heading to your house every night, multiple times a week. The wolves and the Cullens have tried to hold her off, but she won't stop until she has revenge.
The more details you were told, the angrier you were.
That's what your dream was about. It wasn't just 'some nightmare'.
You expected Edward to keep things hush. You expected that if Bella knew, she'd probably keep it from you too. But Paul? Never. You told each other everything. You had even remembered making him promise to always be honest with you. With all the craziness you now knew about this world, you thought the least he would do is be open with you. Especially when it quite literally involved you. Keeping you in the dark when even the other girls knew was bullshit, and you were fuming.
Emily must have noticed the change in your behavior. "I'm so sorry he didn't tell you Y/N. But just know he probably did it to protect you."
You shook your head, tears welling up in your eyes in frustration. You hated crying in front of other people. Especially when you weren't sad, you were pissed.
"I appreciate it but trust is just a big thing for me. Jared told you. Sam told you. I mean, for god's sake my SISTER is the one this pyscho is after." You threw up your hands scoffing.
The girls both nodded their heads in agreement, Emily rubbed your arm.
"Im gonna head out. I really don't want to see him right now.."
Emily grabbed my elbow. "Now wait a minute. You're allowed to do what you want but please, don't stay at your house. I don't have a good feeling about it..."
"Okay. I'll call my sister."
-
Much to your relief, Alice saw everything that had happened in a vision, and it was actually Bella that called you first.
She told you that you were welcome to stay at the Cullens house for the night, and apologized for not telling you about the situation. You snorted when she said she had assumed Paul would fill you in.
What a joke that was.
You were half way to the house when your phone started erupting with the missed calls from Paul. It didn't stop. One call after another. A few texts in between. You didn't even read them, rolling your eyes and making the decision to just turn it off.
One thing Paul didn't know, was that when you're upset you just need space. You knew it wasn't a huge deal, but you were angry he didn't tell you. You felt like a child that everyone knew except for you. Like you couldn't handle it. You told yourself you just needed a good nights sleep and you'd call him in the morning.
Or so you thought.
You drove down the windy back road that led to the Cullen house. You've driven this road plenty of times, but goosebumps arose on your skin at the darkness. It wasn't until now that you realized you'd only ever come during the day, and there was little to nothing guiding you except the headlights of your car.
From afar you started to notice a small figure right in the middle of the road. It didn't seem to be moving so you slowed down, driving closer for a better look.
At first glance you thought your mind was playing tricks on you, but pulling up you were able to make out the deer that laid slain in the road. You sighed of relief, then cringed.
Really, they can't clean up after they eat?
There was no way to get around it on the tiny road, so you reached over to grab your phone and call Bella.
In no way were you getting out of your car in the middle of this spookville.
You managed to turn your phone on, and-
BANG!
The phone flew out of your hand as you covered your head.
What the HELL was that?
You took a minute to breathe, ears on high alert and eyes shut preparing for the worst.
It was silent.
So silent you could hear yourself breathe. You slowly uncovered your head, opening your eyes to look around. It was when you looked up that your stomach dropped.
The roof had a ginormous dent in it. Before you could process any sort of thought, your driver door was ripped from its hinges. You whipped your head to come face to face with....her. You didn't have to know what she looked like to know who it was.
You went open your mouth but nothing came out. You couldn't scream, couldn't talk, could not even move. You were paralyzed in your seat.
It was when you finally found some semblance of your voice that she grabbed your head, slamming it against the car, knocking you out cold.
-
Paul couldn't stop pacing. As soon as the call would go to voicemail, he'd hang up and call again.
How could he have been so stupid? The promise he made played over and over in his head.
'I'll always be honest with you.' 'We're in this together.'
He knew he should have told her once Jared and Sam filled their imprints in. But he didn't want to lose her. In a couple of months her world had turned upside down, and it was shocking enough that she stayed upon knowing who he was. What he could be. But then to have her immediately be a target of danger? He was too scared to see her reaction.
But this one was worse.
"Just relax dude, she'll get over it and call you back. She's not gonna answer if you keep blowing her up." Quil rolled his eyes as he went for a muffin.
Paul stopped mid pace, staring daggers at him.
"Shut the FUCK up, Quil."
Before he lunged or phased right there in the kitchen, Sam stormed in from the room with Jared right behind.
"What is going on?"
"Paul's going nuts because Y/N hasn't answered his calls." Embry said simply, Quil too afraid to say anything and get his ass kicked.
Emily got up to stand in the middle, "She was on her way to the Cullens house.."
Jared and Sam's eyes widened.
"WHY?!?" Sam barked, making Kim who sat at the table wince. Emily rested her hand on Kim's shoulder.
"She found out about Victoria. She was upset Paul didn't tell her and-"
" AND YOU LET HER GO ALONE? WHY DIDNT YOU TELL ANY OF US?" Sam's voice remained loud and angry.
Quil and Embry now shared a worried glance at Paul, who looked completely disheveled, breathing heavily.
"I-I don't know I just hadnt heard about her in the area in a couple of days and Bella is aware she's coming there so-" Emily's eyes started to well with tears and she realized how stupid it was to let Y/N leave on her own.
Sams ringtone cut the tension in a room.
"Hello?" Sams face froze. He looked at Paul.
"We'll be right there."

It probably hadn’t even been a week since you had been captured, although it felt like it had been months. Vaguely, you recalled your wrists being wrenched behind your back mercilessly and a blindfold being tied roughly around your eyes. While you struggled vehemently against the chafing handcuffs that had been so harshly slapped around your wrists, someone, a man, had told you that you were under suspicion of being involved with Kira. Next thing you knew, you were tied up in a small, empty room, still unable to see or move with your body bound to a terribly uncomfortable metal board-like thing.
For a long time, you were scared out of your mind. For hours on end, you’d been interrogated by a garbled voice coming from somewhere in the room, and you hadn’t been able to give anyone any information. You were hardly allowed any bathroom breaks, and you were only given the bare minimum of food and water to keep you alive. However, despite the small amount of time you’d been captive, the situation you were in felt more hopeless every second. You were sleep-deprived, mentally drained from all the questions every hour of every day, your body was aching like hell from the position you’d been in for what seemed like ages, and you were always thirsty or hungry. On a number of occasions you’d fainted, only realizing it when you were awoken by a stern voice from some audio device in the room.
When you heard the familiar click of the microphone in the room, you had just begun to drift off again- sleeping was really all you could to in this predicament, and you weren’t really getting much of that either- it was hard to do so when you were literally tied to a board at 90 degrees and being watched every single second. And you already knew whoever had you captive now was tired of you asking to go to the bathroom every two seconds.
“Y/N.”
The stoic but demanding tone of whoever was speaking was something you were used to by now- but realizing that you were probably about to be interrogated ruthlessly again by this mechanical voice was almost too much, especially alongside being deprived of most of your senses for so long like this. You couldn’t find it in yourself to respond, instead barely lifting your head from its loll on your chest.
“Good. You’re up. Now, tell me what you know about Kira.”
This again. You could almost feel your sanity slipping through your fingers.
You replied with an inaudible murmur, not even really knowing what you were saying yourself.
“Speak up. I can’t hear you.”
This time, you didn’t respond, and dropped your head again, an overwhelming sleepiness suddenly coming over you. Today, you just weren’t up for it- you couldn’t care less what anyone did to you.
There was an unexpected silence for a few seconds- you’d expected the voice to resume its distorted badgering the second you failed to reply. But when the voice sounded again, its tone wasn’t as stony as it had been previously.
“You seem tired. How are you doing?”
Before you could stop it, a dull, bitter laugh burst from your throat. “How am I doing?” Your voice was raspy from lack of hydration and to speak by itself hurt your throat. “Don’t patronize me.”
More silence. For a second you’d thought maybe you’d made the voice mad, but what it said next surprised you. “Watari. Get the girl some water.”
Next thing you knew, there was shuffling beside you, and then a hard object at your lips. You could feel the cold air from it flowing on your skin, and then Watari tilted the cup towards your lips, signaling you to drink. However, you kept your lips tightly shut- you didn’t want to accept any formalities from whoever was behind this.
Watari tried again, but this time you moved your head out of the way quite violently, feeling your hair dip into the water before your head hit the side of the cup, knocking it from Watari’s hand and spilling the cold liquid all over your body. It brought you a little pleasure to know that you were being an inconvenience, and now there was a mess to clean up. Besides that, now you might be allowed clean clothes.
Silence from Watari. You wondered if you’d made him mad.
“Ryuzaki, the girl doesn’t seem to be cooperating.”
You were a little surprised by Watari’s voice. You’d thought he was a man on the younger side, but instead he sounded rather elderly. You shuddered to yourself.
“Yes, I can see that,” came the tiny little voice through the speakers. It sounded like his or her teeth were clenched.
Ryuzaki. So that was your captor’s name. Even if you did get punished for your difficult behavior, at least you’d come away with a little victory.
“Feel free to depart, Watari,” Ryuzaki spoke again, the crackle of the feedback echoing through the room. “I’m going to come down there myself.”
He was coming down? You weren’t sure if you were anxious or eager. Perhaps he’d finally finish you off.
“Ryuzaki, are you sure?” Watari questioned.
“She can’t see me,” Ryuzaki replied coolly. “It’ll be fine. By this point, she needs a change of clothes, anyway- the water in fact contained a light dose of a chemical that would make the girl’s mind a little weaker and relax some of her tension, perhaps draw the truth out of her- and I can’t have it spilled on her clothes like it is now.”
Chemical? Draw the truth out of you? Any regrets about rejecting the water drained from your mind the instant Ryuzaki said that. Another tiny victory.
“Go ahead, Watari. I’ll be down shortly.”
Watari complied, and soon you heard footsteps depart from you and eventually vanish.
It was a little while before you heard anyone else again, and you waited anxiously, back aching against the cold, stiff board. Was he going to kill you? Or were you just in for more interrogation? At this point, you’d much rather Ryuzaki just end your misery. Even one more question and you’d go mad.
Despite your rising anxiety, you couldn’t ignore the pull of sleep weighing down your eyelids and blurring your vision. It had been ages since you’d slept properly, and even the small intervals of sleep you managed to get were constantly disrupted by the crackly voice over the intercom waking you up to ask you the same set of questions. Because of this, while waiting for Ryuzaki, you actually began to drift off- but just as you were about to really fall asleep, you heard footsteps echoing throughout the room.
The sound snapped you back to alertness, making you jolt. The footsteps grew louder and louder, growing closer, and then they stopped right in front of you. You froze, body completely stiff- Ryuzaki had arrived. However, he didn’t speak, which only made you more nervous.
After a few agonizing minutes, you at last heard a voice, allowing you to relax a bit- but it wasn’t much. However, the voice did surprise you- it was a young man, much unlike the crackly sound you’d been hearing for the time that you’d been here. There was a raspy edge to it as well- you could say confidently that it certainly wasn’t an ugly voice. In fact, it was sort of comforting in a twisted manner- it would have been worse if it was an old man watching you this entire time.
“Mr. Matsuda, Aizawa,” Ryuzaki commanded, “turn off the cameras and the audio.”
What?
The two men Ryuzaki had addressed seemed to have a similar reaction as yours. “Huh? L- I mean, Ryuzaki, that’s nuts! This is an interrogation!” came a protesting voice rather loudly through the microphone, the feedback making you flinch. It sounded like a much younger man’s voice, younger than Ryuzaki.
There was a brief pause before another, more mature-sounding voice came through the speaker. “Yeah- Ryuzaki, we trust you, but is that something you really want to do?”
“I want to talk to our suspect alone.” Ryuzaki continued calmly, unfazed by either of the men’s protests. “Matsuda, please turn off the camera and the audio.”
This couldn’t be good at all. Now you were almost certain Ryuzaki was going to kill you. Why else would he want the audio and video off? He couldn’t possibly be letting you go.
Matsuda sighed. “Okay, Ryuzaki, if you say so.” There was a click, soon followed by a second one, and the feedback finally silenced.
You let out an involuntary whimper through your gag. Now you were really alone, and with the blindfold you only had your fate to ponder. Was this it?
You felt Ryuzaki move closer to you, and you bit down on your gag, anticipating his next move- but to your surprise, you felt slender fingers grasp your blindfold and undo it, the metal headpiece falling from your face.
Instantly, you were blinded by the light, and a series of shapes and light exploded in front of your eyes. Flinching, you automatically shut your eyes again, completely overwhelmed with sensory input given you’d been blindfolded for days on end with no break whatsoever. You didn’t even get to see your captor’s face. However, you still felt when he removed the dirty gag from your mouth, the foul taste of the rag damp with your saliva finally leaving.
You couldn’t help the giant gulp of air you took right after Ryuzaki removed the gag, having had a lot of your airway obstructed for almost a week. For quite a while, you just coughed and gasped, making up for lost breath while Ryuzaki simply stood a short distance in front of you and watched.
When your coughing spell finally ceased and you were able to see for the most part, you at last slowly lifted your head from its loll on your chest- coming face to face with your captor at last. And to say the least, you were rather caught off guard.
He was fairly tall, a height you would expect for a man about the age he looked, but that was about the only thing conventional about him. You’d thought it would be a more refined man, polished and cold and calculating, like the head of an organized crime group. However, you were instead met with a pale face with wide, sunken-in gray eyes, a pallor over his entire body and his black hair wildly arranged all over his head. Along with that, he had on a mere white T-shirt and baggy jeans- and no shoes!- rather than the more debonair attire you’d expected him to wear. Pretty much everything about the man was in contrast to what you had thought him to be, and you couldn’t suppress the shocked expression that came across your face.
Ryuzaki tilted his head at you upon seeing your expression. “Surprised?”
You said nothing, instead recoiling back against the metal board. No matter what he looked like, this was still your kidnapper who had held you hostage for five days.
“No need to look so nervous.” Ryuzaki shrugged nonchalantly. It was as if he’d done this a million times. “I’m not down here to harm you.”
“You aren’t?” It just popped out. You didn’t know you remembered how to speak words other than the same mantra of “Yes,” “No,” or “I don’t know” in reply to Ryuzaki’s endless interrogation questions.
“Your enunciation is surprisingly good for someone who’s had a gag in their mouth for the past several days,” Ryuzaki remarked casually, his eyes drifting from yours down to your lips. He placed his hands behind his back and slowly circled the metal board you were bound to, inspecting you closely. Revolted, you shrank against the metal as much as possible, trying to avoid his scrutinizing gaze.
Finally, Ryuzaki came back around in front of you. “Your tense body language would suggest that you’re rather wary of me.” He paused, inching closer to you still. “I’m not surprised.”
“No shit,” you managed, giving the detective the most beseeching glare you could.
Ryuzaki tilted his head at you. “Well, it’s nice to see you still have at least a bit of fight in you, hm?” Then, all of a sudden, he brought his face directly up to yours, his wide gray eyes burning into yours and startling you. You recoiled as much as possible, but found yourself unable to break away from his gaze. “Now, tell me- what? Do you know? About Kira.” His voice was just a low hiss, and you felt your heart pound in your chest and your breath speed up. Determined not to give him the satisfaction, you retorted, “I told you already- I don’t know anything.”
Ryuzaki pulled back after hearing those words, his expression going back to it’s normal stoic self. He didn’t say anything for a moment.
“Alright. Since you don’t seem to be cooperating, I suppose I’ll have to take on another tactic to get you to talk.” Ryuzaki turned away and vanished around a corner for a moment, and for a brief moment you felt scared that he was going to pull out something like a knife or a taser to torture information out of you. But when the detective reappeared, he had something you definitely weren’t expecting him to come out with.
“A vibrator?” you sputtered, unable to contain your disbelief. Ryuzaki didn’t seem rattled by your outburst at all, only fiddling with the device in his hand before looking back up to address you.
“I assume you were expecting me to emerge with some… torture device of some sort. But when it comes to these things, I find pleasure is a much more effective method of interrogation,” Ryuzaki explained, approaching you with the vibrator. “Since you won’t talk, I’ll just have to make you. Now, stay still for me so I can get these clothes out of the way.” Ryuzaki kneeled to the ground and picked up a knife, making you jump, but he addressed you again. “Don’t worry. I just need to take off your clothes without undoing your restraints.”
This helped your nerves a little bit, but not really. Still, you figured it wouldn’t be a good idea to fight him while he had the knife so close to your skin. Ryuzaki held you around the waist with one hand to keep your body still while he dragged the knife down the raggedy white garment you had on, slicing the cloth in half and allowing it to fall from your body effortlessly. You flinched when you felt the cold air hit your skin, but as your body was exposed, you noticed something odd.
“Ah. Judging by the look on your face, I assume you’ve noticed that you’re a little… messy between the legs.”
You looked up at Ryuzaki abruptly. You were indeed unusually wet, despite hardly being aroused- although even when you were you normally weren’t this wet. “What did you do?”
Ryuzaki’s tone was indifferent, as always. “I had a feeling that when I gave you the chemical in the drink that you spilled that you would resist. However, I was prepared. When you were asleep earlier today, I managed to give you the aphrodisiac anyway.” He paused for a second. “However… I think I may have given you slightly more than what was needed to stimulate your erogenous zones, so forgive me.” Ryuzaki bent back down so he was on his knees on the ground with his head level with your crotch. “I’ll ask you one more time, Y/N, before I touch you. What do you know about Kira?”
You bit your lip, legs squirming a bit, but didn’t reply. Ryuzaki waited for your reply, but when he saw that you weren’t going to offer him anything, he turned the vibrator in his hand on and brought it to your exposed clit, making you let out a whimper and try and close your legs.
“Ah, ah, ah- no use in struggling. Your legs are bound, remember?” Ryuzaki reminded you airily, circling the vibrator around your clit lightly. The pleasure making your knees weak made you almost glad that you were leaned against the metal board- his aphrodisiac had been very effective, apparently, because even though Ryuzaki was being quite gentle you were already wriggling and moaning.
“This vibrator does have higher settings, you know,” Ryuzaki informed you. “And I must want you, I can do this all day.” He had the ghost of a smile on his face when he said this, and you knew he wasn’t bluffing. As if to make a point, he hit a button on the vibrator, and you instantly felt when the vibrations increased, your breath hitching as your back arched. “There’s no point in denying that you know anything about Kira, so why don’t you just skip the hassle and tell me what you know?”
You found it difficult to respond with the sensation from the vibrator taking over your senses, but you still managed to say something. “He- isn’t from Japan. He lives in- ah!”
Ryuzaki pressed the vibrator harder against your sensitive clit, cutting you off mid-sentence. “Don’t bother lying. I conducted an experiment aged ago that verified that Kira is in fact Japanese. Try again. And it would be appreciated if you didn’t lie this time.”
Your breathing was heavy and your body flushed, your juices spilling out onto the tips of Ryuzaki’s fingers. God, you wished he hadn’t drugged you, because the pleasure was already almost overwhelming. “Fuck- fine, he is Japanese.”
His tone was hard. “Didn’t I just tell you that I know that already? Why don’t you share with me identifying details about his identity. Try his age, appearance, birthday, or the school he goes to. Are you not a high school senior? Have you noticed anybody that stands out in particular?”
You scoffed. “Why would Kira be in high school? What high school kid has time to commit mass murders like this?”
Wrong answer. Ryuzaki turned up the vibrator higher still and dragged it down your dripping slit until it was positioned at your hole. Slowly, he slid the top of the vibrator inside of you with a very wet sound and began pumping it agonizingly slowly, up and down.
You felt your legs immediately begin to tremble, feeling your own arousal slide down your thighs. With every thrust of the vibrator you let out a whimper, squirming like crazy but unable to escape as Ryuzaki placed one hand on your thigh to still you a bit. Your whole lower body throbbed with arousal and pleasure.
“Ah- please, Ryuzaki-“
“Please? Please, what?” Ryuzaki queried, seemingly not affected at all by how needy you clearly were. “Do you want to orgasm? Is that what it is, Y/N?”
You whimpered and nodded, still squirming and moaning with the vibrator moving inside you. Ryuzaki kept his pace slow and steady, making sure to drag it out as much as possible. You didn’t know how this could feel so amazing and yet awful at the same time, your peak just within reach but escaping every time you were close enough. And you knew that Ryuzaki knew this.
“I’ll let you come all you’d like if you just give me the information I want to know,” Ryuzaki told you plainly. “I’m listening.”
You didn’t want to give Ryuzaki the satisfaction, but god, did the vibrator feel absolutely amazing going in and out of your soaking hole like this- and the aphrodisiac just made you more needy.
“Oh… oh, fuck, mmm, okay- please, Ryuzaki, stop moving the-“
“Oh, is the pleasure too much for you? You are indeed very wet…” Ryuzaki finally paused his movements with the vibrator, and despite the ache you felt in your entrance for more, you were finally able to answer Ryuzaki properly for the most part.
You let out a shaky breath, legs shaking. “I don’t know his first name, but his last name is Yagami. We’re the top students in our class, and one day when we were studying together he told me he was Kira.”
Ryuzaki paused for a moment. “Hm. You don’t seem to be lying this time.” He peered up at your flushed, glistening face before looking back down at the vibrator moist with your juices. Muttering to himself, he said, “Hm, I was right- I did dose you with too much of the aphrodisiac…” Regardless, he slipped the vibrator back inside of you, making you let out a broken moan as he pumped it in and out. “Good girl. Now answer one more question for me.”
You were trembling again, your walls squeezing around the vibrator. Your thighs were wet and sticky now as you nodded, trying to stifle the lewd sounds leaving your lips.
“Alright. How does Kira kill?”
This question made your heart skip a beat- revealing the answer, depending on what Ryuzaki did with it, could be very incriminating and have major implications for mankind as a whole. You hesitated, and Ryuzaki noticed, stopping the movements of the vibrator yet again.
“Go on,” Ryuzaki prompted, waiting expectantly. The vibrator was just centimeters away from your throbbing sex, and you could hear the vibration from beneath you.
Shit. Were you really so desperate that you’d give away something like this?
Apparently so. You wanted to blame it on the aphrodisiac, but you knew you couldn’t do that this time.
“You… won’t believe me, but… there’s something called a Death Note. Whenever you write someone’s name in it, that person dies. I don’t really know all the details, but… that’s how he kills.”
Ryuzaki seemed actually startled by this information, but he didn’t question it, so he knew you weren’t lying. He quickly covered up his surprise with his usual mask of indifference, waiting a few moments before speaking again.
“Oh. Alright, then. I’ll have to retrieve more details later, but for now that will suffice. You seem to have given me all the information you have.”
You didn’t reply, but your back was arched, your pelvis close to L’s head.
Ryuzaki looked back up all of a sudden. “Oh. Right. I suppose it’s only fair of me to let you orgasm.”
You were relieved, as the ache in your pussy was becoming too much to bear. To your surprise, though, Ryuzaki turned the vibrator off and set it on the ground beside him. But before you could be confused about it, he leaned straight down to your sex, the tip of his nose resting just above it, and began to slide his warm tongue along your clit, stopping in between licks to plant sucking kisses along your dripping cunt.
Your legs weakened instantly, and you rode Ryuzaki’s tongue as best as you could strapped to the metal board. The heat and wetness from his mouth felt better than you could have ever imagined, and as you approached your climax, your moans faded into whimpers and broken whines of Ryuzaki’s name. He wrapped his lips around your swollen clit and sucked it slowly, gently, and slipped two slender fingers inside of your sopping hole as well, pumping them back and forth like he did the vibrator.
You came mere minutes later, legs quivering violently and breathing heavily. With a moan of Ryuzaki’s name, you finished in his mouth, spilling from the corners of his lips and running down his chin as he peered up at you through his unkempt black hair. He licked all of your cum off of your thighs, running his tongue up and down the length of your thighs and making you shiver at the feeling.
When Ryuzaki was done, he pulled away from your aching and overstimulated cunt before getting back to his feet with the vibrator in hand while you were still trying to catch your breath and still your trembling thighs.
Before you could react, the detective leaned in and kissed you gently on the lips, letting you taste yourself on his lips and tongue. You shuddered as you felt your own cum slide down your chin, and Ryuzaki pulled away. “I appreciate you giving me this information. Watari will be down to provide you with a new garment shortly. It may be a while longer before I allow you to leave, but this will be quite helpful.”
And with that, he was gone before you could even answer.

"Hello there, Miss." Coryo grins at you, extending his arm to you to hold as you step out of your house and close the door behind you.
You pretend not to see, reaching down to retie your shoe which was already laced up perfectly. "Hi." You reply quietly, and his smile fades. You already seem in weaker spirits than you were this afternoon.
"Did you enjoy your nap?" He asks as you stand up straight again, making your way down the front path of your house to the street and he follows like a stray dog.
You turn when you reach the road, looking at him only briefly. "I did. Thank you." You mumble, unable to make extended eye contact without your heart beating out of your chest. It was hard to tell if you were awake or asleep when he was around.
"That's good." He nods, joining your side. He's there to walk you to The Hob, but he honestly was relying more on you to guide the way.
You don't say anything, walking with your arms crossed carefully, protectively across your midsection.
Coryo is worried, but he does know that you don't want to walk alone at night, so he tries to convince himself it's just that. Not him.
"You, uhm, you look nice." He tells you, taking notice of your change of clothes. It was refreshing to see you in something other than that short dress with the sewn-in shorts, though with the longer skirts you had worn today, it covered much more of your skin. Part of him missed the short dress that was now most definitely unwearable. It was your favourite, he remembered.
"Thank you." You say back, the hair on your arms pricking up from the chill that was starting to settle in. It wasn't a cold night, you didn't think, but colder than Twelve often saw in mid-August. Maybe it was just you. "You do, as well."
He laughs, and you look at him for the first time tonight. His blue eyes shine with the reflection of the sunset, and you're no longer cursing yourself for trusting him to walk you this afternoon. He wouldn't hurt you, and you knew that. Stupid dreams. Stupid nightmares. He saved you- he's the only reason you're alive today, you're certain.
"We're trying to blend in, Sejanus thought we were scaring people." He explains, laughter subsiding.
You smile at him. "I was going to say, that style doesn't feel like your own." You giggle. "But I like it."
"Why, thank you." He grins, tugging on the front of his white t-shirt as if he was adjusting a suit jacket.
Your dreams were just dreams. If he had that evil in him, could you live with it? That was what you had to figure out. Right now, though, with you, that darkness was nowhere to be seen. You were awake. You must be.
"How has Twelve been treating you so far?" You ask, suddenly self-conscious of his impression of your home as your feet crunch over the gravel path beneath you.
"Okay." Coryo shrugs, shoving his hands into his pockets. "It was hard to find someone to talk to us long enough to get a lead on where to find you."
"People tend to keep to themselves." You explain. "Also looking for me is an odd request."
"Why?"
Now it was your turn to shrug. "No one really wants to talk to me now, either." The stares you got were seemingly endless. People would stare, point, whisper, and it didn't particularly bother you, but you hated that maybe people were afraid. You feared that everyone thought the games turned you into something fragile, and they were scared of upsetting you with the wrong words or the alternative; you were a weapon ready to explode at any moment.
"That's because people are careless and cruel." Coryo replies, no hesitation behind his tone. "And they have no way of understanding... you."
"They're good people, honestly, I just-"
"I know that." He assures you, sensing your panic. "But it's not your place to prove to them who you are. Changed or not."
"Do you think I have changed?" You ask, genuinely curious despite the softness of your voice.
Coryo is quiet for a moment. "I would say no," He looks at you as you walk alongside him. "but you have, I think. There's more to you, now."
You chew on your lip, watching your steps as you pass under the streetlights.
He watches your reaction, nervous when you don't respond. "I don't mean that in a bad way." He clarifies. "To me, you're still you." He wants to tell you you're less naive, more experienced, that it will keep you safe, but he feels as though that wouldn't be the right thing to say. "But it's impossible to walk out of that arena the same person. We have that in common."
The flickering street lamps illuminate the blush on your cheeks for just a moment. "Thank you, Coryo. That means a great deal."
"Of course." He hums, walking close enough now to just brush your arm with his own.
Your heart leaps in your chest, from fear or excitement you aren't sure- but you're grateful to be able to finally hear the music coming from The Hob as you approach the rundown building.
There's nowhere else you would want to be any less than The Hob during one of Lucy Gray's shows. You loved her, The Covey, the beautiful and fun music they made together, but since you'd been home, it had been impossible to enjoy yourself there.
You didn't even try until tonight.
Your fears came true. Almost as soon as you and Coriolanus walked in, scattered eyes were on you. You could feel it like pricks in your skin. It didn't help that you were with a stranger. People were dancing, drinking, laughing, but you couldn't help but feel like the laughs were directed at you. Certainly, some staring was.
Coryo looks down at you, seeing your hands still gripped onto your own arms, holding yourself together. He wasn't great with crowds, and seemingly neither were you. His urge was to retreat to the nearest wall, and so was yours. "Let's see if we can track down Sejanus." He offers, holding his arm out behind you while he looks around.
He doesn't want to touch you for fear of making things weird, but god, would it just be so easy to slip his arm around your waist and guide you more effectively.
"There." He almost doesn't hear you over the music and the shouting surrounding you both, but he follows your finger as you point over to the bar, leaning down closer in case you speak again.
Sure enough, Sejanus is there chatting with some local guy. Coryo sighs. "I leave him for twenty minutes..." He chuckles, shaking his head. "I'll get him, are you okay to wait here?" He asks and you nod, giving him that smile of yours that he hasn't seen all night.
"Good. I'll be right back." He promises, stepping away and through the crowd to go get your friend.
You watch him go, but your attention is drawn when someone pushes past you rather abruptly which makes you jump. The girl looks at you like you're crazy, as you expected she would, so pulling yourself together again, you find an empty table by the side wall and go to sit down. This was too much for you already; you knew that before you even walked in the door, but you were just here to see your friends. Coryo would come back, Sejanus would be with him, and Lucy Gray would sing her songs while you laughed and talked like normal people do. As soon as they returned, it would be okay.
You keep your head down until you hear them bickering over the normal sounds of the bar.
"We're not here to make friends, Sejanus, we're here to-"
"No, no, I get that, but what's the harm?"
You smile at them, taking a shaky breath. "Welcome back."
"Y/N!" Sejanus grins, looking at Coryo briefly before taking the seat across from you. "Glad you could make it."
"Me too." You nod, avoiding looking at Coryo as he takes the spot standing next to you, considering there wasn't another seat.
"Here," He says, voice low in your ear as he holds a glass out to you. "Got you a drink."
"Oh, thank you." You mumble, blushing as you take it from his hand. You can't think of anything worse than being intoxicated and vulnerable in this environment, but the gesture was nice. You wouldn't deny him that.
He rests his arm on the back of your chair, leaning on it and you rest your arms on the table so you can place the glass down as you look at Sejanus. "Tell me more, what have you been up to?" You ask, desperate for some conversation to distract yourself.
"Well, we graduated." Sejanus answers, nodding toward the boy standing beside you.
"Oh, gosh, congratulations!" You smile, looking between the two of them. Coryo is stone-faced.
"I sent you an invitation." He says into the rim of his glass, looking down at you.
"Oh?" You ask, and Sejanus nods in confirmation.
"We were hoping you'd be able to make it. We were going to come get you." He explains, and Coryo lets the glass scrape against his teeth. It was his invitation that he sent, and he was the one who offered to come get you. Sejanus had nothing to do with it besides encouraging him to actually send the letter.
"I didn't- I didn't get it." You tell them honestly, brow furrowed. "I don't know if I could have... gone back, you know, but I would have at least sent a gift, or something. I am so sorry."
Coryo raises an eyebrow. "You didn't get it?" He asks, almost relieved by the idea.
"No, nothing."
"Oh. Well, nothing could be done then, I suppose." He shrugs it off. Maybe if you truly hadn't received the invite, you haven't received any of the letters he sent. Someone along the route to the address he used decided you weren't worth looking for, and that wasn't your fault. Lucy Gray had told him as much, but he trusted it more falling from your lips.
"Truly, though, I am so sorry I couldn't be there." You say, looking between the two of them with a newfound urgency. You didn't want them to resent you, especially if they thought they had been ignored. "I didn't know, honest."
"Don't worry about it." Sejanus assures you. "We didn't want to be there either."
"But I did, I would have loved to but it's just hard to get out of Twelve and I wouldn't have anywhere to stay and like I said I'm just not ready to go back but I really would have loved to be able to be there for you."
"Y/N, hey..." Coryo chuckles, leaning down again to be face-to-face with you. "We get it. We're not upset with you, I promise."
Promise. The two of you were always making promises to each other, apparently. It made you feel better and he knew that.
"O-okay..." You nod slowly, deciding now is as good a time as any to try your drink. You turn your face from him, having been just inches apart to take a sip. Beer was far from your favourite, but you were never much of a drinker anyway. You place the glass back down and smooth out your skirt over your lap, regaining your normal grin. "Well, Fortune is merry, and in this mood will give us anything."
"Very good point." Coriolanus agrees quickly, tapping his hand on the back of your chair. The smile that crosses your face when you look up at him, thinking he understood and cared to respond makes him want to collapse in on himself and sink into the floor. You deserved so much more than being elated when someone understood you, and he could give you everything if you would just trust him.
"Y/L/N, how dare you show your face here!" A voice calls you by your last name and you snap your head in their direction.
Coryo furrows his brow, watching warily as a boy about his age walks up to your table. He's ready to step in, maybe this is why you hadn't been coming- because people, boys had been harassing you. He should have seen that coming. You were beautiful, every time he looked at you it was hard to look away again- obviously, this kind of attention would be a common occurrence. He lifts his shoulders and puts down his drink, but he looks at you and you're smiling.
"Hi." You giggle, actually giggle- and it makes Coryo almost just as angry as if this random guy had just threatened you.
He leans his elbows against the table. "Been a long time since I seen you. How you been?" He asks, sipping his beer as he makes dead eye contact with you.
"Only a couple of days, River." You grin.
"Oh yeah, that's right..." He hums. "Been real interested in that book you let me borrow, you know."
"Have you?" You smile, leaning in with excitement, ready to discuss it.
Who was this guy? A friend? Something more? The way you were looking at him, the fact that you let him borrow one of your books made envy swirl in Coryo's stomach. He hated it. He clears his throat to remind you they were there before you got sucked into talking about whatever book you gave the boy.
"Oh." You look up at him. "River, this is-"
"Yeah, who are these clowns? Botherin' you?" He interrupts you, and Coryo is more peeved about that than the fact that he was just referred to as a clown.
"Not in the slightest." You hum. "These are my friends, Sejanus and Coryo. They came all the way from the Capitol just to visit me, isn't that sweet?"
"Ah..." The boy hums, standing back up and holding a hand out for Sejanus to shake before turning to Coryo as he keeps his grip on the back of your chair. "Nice to meet you both, then."
"It's Coriolanus." He corrects you as he shakes the boy's hand, squeezing it probably more than what is polite.
"Oh wow." River's eyes widen and he chuckles, looking down at you again. "You're not really the friendly type I guess. Y/N here can make friends with just about anyone, I suppose."
"River..." You frown, shaking your head at him. Coryo clenches his jaw.
"I'm sorry! Sorry, I'm not great with new people either. That's my bad." He laughs it off, patting Coryo's shoulder as he drops his hand. "Anyway, Y/N, I didn't expect to see you out and about. Holdin' up okay?"
"I'm well. Thank you." You nod, taking another sip of your drink. River was a good friend, maybe even a great one. He works with your father in the mines, he started as soon as he turned eighteen a few months before you. You've become closer since then.
"Glad to hear it." He nods at you, looking around the crowded room. He bottoms his drink, shaking it in your face. "Time for a refill so I'm gonna leave ya be, but shout if you need anything, alright sweetheart?"
"Thank you!" You call after him as he turns to walk off, winking at you.
"Sweetheart." Coryo mumbles into his glass with a slight shake of his head as he watches the boy walk away. You didn't hear him, and he wasn't sure he wanted you to.
"Who's that?" Sejanus asks. "He seems nice."
"We went to school together, now he works with my father," You explain. "but I've known him most of my life. He's very kind, just a little... outspoken. He'll always tell you what he's thinking." You chuckle, and Coryo bites his tongue.
You catch his expression of disapproval. "He didn't mean any harm, just trying to be welcoming. He was nervous, I could tell." Returning your gaze to Lucy Gray up on the stage, you smile and give her a quick wave. She smiles back, nodding at you.
"You never mentioned him." Coryo comments.
"Well, I..." You stop yourself, staring down at your lap. "I had a lot on my mind..."
"Do you know anyone else? Give us the tour." Sejanus suggests quickly, pointing around the room.
You smile, forcing yourself to ignore your worries about how Coryo is feeling. "Almost everyone, yes." You giggle, covering your mouth with your hand as you speak.
"Is that why you didn't want to come?" Coryo asks you and you look up at him again, smile faltering.
"I- It's not that I didn't want to." You answer, fidgeting now with the fabric in your lap. "I just... I don't know. It's hard to... I don't know. Everything feels so difficult these days..." You laugh nervously.
There's that word he was so afraid of. Hard. In reference to something as simple as going out and spending time with your peers- people you had clearly considered friends before the games. It seemed like another lifetime to you, he could see it in the way you so intensely watched yourself pick at your own fingernails. He wished while laying in his bed at night that you were happy here, that your life was normal, even if he couldn't be a part of it; but that was unrealistic and part of him knew that.
"It's okay." Coryo reminds you quickly. "You don't have to explain yourself to us." He smiles, trying to be reassuring. "If you want to leave we can go. Just say the word, Y/N/N."
You shake your head, looking back up at him with that same glowing smile that subtly begs him not to worry about you- but he has to. "It's completely okay." You assure him with a quick wave of your hand. "Okay, so..." You drum your fingers on the tabletop, looking around and attaching names to faces.
"That's Sienna, I went to school with her sister." You point over to a girl in a group of a few others. "And she's with Fern and Hazel, Hazel's the one with the light hair." The boy's eyes follow where you're pointing as you look over at another group. "Oh, and over with River, the taller boy next to him is Rowan." You explain. "His little brother is friends with mine. Then over there, by the stage is Billy Taupe- that's Lucy Gray's boyfriend. Kind of, they're on and off these days."
Coryo nods, trying to commit these names to memory. He didn't plan on speaking to any of them, but if you wanted to, which he doubted, he would try.
"And that's-" Your voice cuts out so quick it's as if someone had slapped a hand over your mouth when another boy walked up to join the two standing by the bar. Quickly Coryo is looking down at you again as the blood drains steadily from your face. You cough, shaking your head. "Uh, I don't really know anyone else's names." You lie.
"You okay?" Sejanus asks you and you nod, quickly grabbing your glass and taking a few large gulps, the foul taste of beer forcing its way down your throat.
"Yeah, just, I haven't seen these people in a while."
Coryo watches, jaw clenched tight as River converses with the blonde boy who just walked up to him and your other friend whose name he's already forgotten. River takes a swig from his drink, laughs as he puts the glass down on the bar, and then points over to the three of you. He was telling whoever the hell that was that you were there- and clearly you weren't keen on him.
"Let's go, yeah?" Coryo suggests quickly, abandoning his drink on the table to step in front of you. He extends his hand to help you up which you gratefully take. He could feel your hand trembling in his.
He squeezes your hand gently, still shielding you from the group of boys. You didn't need to say a word. "Sejanus, I'm going to take Y/N home, are you okay here?"
"For sure." He nods, looking worried now at the very sudden shift in your energy and Coryo's clear protectiveness. "Do you want me to come?"
"No, no. It's okay." You smile, comforted by Coryo's presence behind you. "You stay and have fun."
"Alright, well, I'll see you soon?" He smiles and you nod, but Coryo is already guiding you away.

headcanons: bts as physical touch/affection
seokjin —
king of domesticity aka food as a love language
has dinner 95% done by the time you get home, so you have regularly scheduled back hugs while he's at the stove
doesn't strike me as super physically affectionate; would probably be more comfortable receiving it than instigating
would be a crime to let those shoulders go to waste, though, so put your head on it
wants you to put your feet in his lap while you're on the couch but DOES NOT want to touch them (rip taehyung)
big fan of forehead/temple kisses
strikes me as the type to link pinkies rather than fully hold hands and i love that for him <3
yoongi —
he is the #1 acts of service king and i will die on that hill
please hold his hand, though
and scratch at his scalp, please
and just know to do it bc he'd probably rather die than ask you to do it, and probably displays affection all wrong and semi-violently. bee said he'd tug an earlobe as a sign of affection and that's bang on.
has big "will gently scratch/rub your back as you're falling asleep" vibes
GENTLE SHOULDER KISSES!!!
whatever it is, acts like he hates it
(still makes you mixtapes/playlists, though)
hobi —
good luck peeling him off of you
completely goofy, over the top, exaggerated displays of affection
cheek/forehead/etc. smooches with sound effects, tickling under your chin, hip checks, butt smacks
honestly all over kisses; bee says behind the ear and i agree
always an arm over your shoulder; tucks you into his side when he hugs you
talks a mile a minute at you as soon as you're through the door
namjoon —
let's be real he is probably off in another world whenever you get home so you have to go find him; either off reading a book or in the studio
wherever he is, always says "hi, baby" (#1 baby as a pet name king) and lets you plop into his lap to tell him about your day <3
you'll be able to hear him coming a mile away when he gets home. probably won't admit it but loves when you meet him at the door. probably plays dumb like "ha ha how did you know i was there" but he's also holding a ripped grocery bag with all your food on the ground, so......
big big big "hand on thigh" vibes
also just big in general so i think he'd really enjoy feeling a lil delicate and protected sometimes? born to be the small spoon tbh
we all saw that video of him at hobi's album release party so big fan of a protective hand on your back/shoulder/etc. in group settings
alone, though — top of head kisses!
jimin —
we all know jimin is very physically affectionate but also very emotionally intelligent so he'd know when to rein it in and when to ramp it up
good day at work? kiss and let me hear all about your day. bad day at work? he's pulling out all the stops. whatever you want, you're getting.
and if either of you went out with your friends? get ready to spill and receive all the tea
tangled together on the couch/in bed vibes
also strikes me as the type to link pinkies so let's hope yours is smaller than his
blows you kisses from across the room so please accept them dramatically bc if you don't he will mime falling to the floor and dying of a broken heart
taehyung —
king of romance, king of affection
continuing the taehyung foot fetish agenda sorry but it's true: MASSAGES
would love to brush your hair for you. put on your lotion for you. doesn't know how to do hair but would love to practice different updos or types of braids, etc. just wants someone to fuss over and someone that will fuss over him in return.
another one that's zoned out when you get home — probably covered in paint or playing the saxophone or doing god knows what. never know what you're walking into
comes to find you immediately when he gets home, though. clingy (affectionate) vibes, but why would he ever want to be separated from his favorite person??
get ready for your house to become a part-time flower shop/museum bc every trinket suspiciously reminds you of him and he "couldn't help himself"
will kiss your hands/wrists/etc.
jungkook —
also strikes me as the type who's more comfortable receiving affection/physical touch than instigating
except we know he's also the jealous type so lots of little touches that let people know he's with you but not, like, possessive. he's got sense
playfully whiny and clingy. will drape himself over you to get attention
will draw little sketches of you when you're on opposite sides of the couch <3
please run your hands through his hair/scratch his scalp while he's gaming
NECK KISSES
will probably let you do whatever you want tbh. wanna paint his nails? sure. want to color in his tattoos with markers? love it, go for it. have a spur of the moment urge to bleach and dye his hair at 3am? don't even need to ask.
just wants to hang out with you <3
these are obviously all vibes so feel free to come discuss what i got wrong/right in my inbox!

~I need a favor~ Part 1
Part 2
Tumblr media
Pairing:Brienne of tarth x Reader
Warnlings : (+18) None I think.
Gender: mostly fluff.
Summary:Returning from a big battle, your friend Brienne has news that will change both of your lives forever.
><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><
You smiled as you felt the sun gently warm your face, stretched your muscles and sighed without yet opening your eyes. Today Brienne was coming back from one of her intense battles and that made you very happy, you missed her a lot. You and the blonde were friends or something like that for a while now, you were both attracted to each other, that was obvious, anyone who saw how you looked at each other and talked would notice. But you never tried to do anything about the mutual feelings because of her work, which required her to spend a lot of time away, she said she didn't want you to stay for weeks or months waiting for her not knowing if she would come back or not, if she was alive or not, she said she could never put you through that; but even though you were nothing, you still waited for her with anxiety and fear, even though you were nothing to each other, she was everything to you.
But none of that mattered, today she came back and that made you happy. Brienne would always stop by your house when she came back, even before she went to hers. But it was also true that your house was practically hers, too, because she spent more time in your rooms than in hers.
With laziness but excitement, you got out of bed and changed your garments, going to the kitchen so you could prepare an elaborate meal for when she arrived, you also made yourself something quick for breakfast.
The knock on the door surprised you, but it surprised you even more when the blonde was there at your door when you opened it, she had arrived much earlier than expected. Her face still had dirt and blood stains, that showed that she had not yet gone to present herself to the king to give a summary of the battle, she had returned from the battle directly to your house, which was very rare that happened since seeing the king as soon as she returned was a direct order that she should not break. But still she had broken it and was standing in front of your door with a big cut on her eyebrow, or something had gone horribly in battle or you didn't know what had happened, you tried to caress her face but she grabbed your hand preventing it, she quickly entered your house and locked the door. You followed her with your eyes as she walked around your house, just at that moment you noticed the cloth bag that she had hanging on her shoulder and resting on her hip, the blonde was muttering things to herself avoiding looking at you and without staying still for a second, she had not even said hello to you
-"Brienne... What's going on, you're scaring me, are you alright?"-You spoke slowly, worried that your voice would scare her. For the first time she looked into your eyes, the blood from the cut was about to cloud her vision
-"I am fine... I... I just need... To think..."-She muttered half lost, gripping the straps of the bag she was carrying tighter, so hard that her knuckles cracked white, with delicate steps you approached her
-"At least let me clean your wound"-you whispered but she took a step back looking at you scared, you were about to insist until you noticed how her bag moved on its own and you looked at her with more confusion
-"I need to show you something and I'm going to need your help, a favor for which I'll be in debt all my life, but there's no one else I can turn to for this" - she spoke with pleading in her tone of voice, and grabbed the cloth bag carefully-"Don't scream please" - she whispered before opening the bag and showing you a baby wrapped in a piece of cloth, sleeping peacefully with his thumb in her mouth, it was a small baby no more than a couple of months old. You opened your eyes wide and looked at her scared and confused
-"What did you do Brienne, where did you get that baby? Whose baby is that? "-You whispered, unable to take your eyes off the little creature that was now in the blonde's arms. The baby was small, but in your tall friend's arms, she looked even more tiny and fragile. They looked like an illustration of the books your mother read to you when you were little, where the paintings in those books exaggerated the size of people or things to generate great impacts on the memory of the reader and to show contrasts between the characters.
Brienne was holding the baby very carefully in her arms, but her body was shaking, when she looked up and fixed her gaze on yours, you could see the fear she had of holding the baby in her arms, even her eyes were a little watery and her lip was also trembling, she was terrified to hold that child in her arms, she was terrified to have such a fragile life depending on her
-"When we were coming back from the battle... We saw villages burned by the wildings, there were burned bodies everywhere, slaughtered bodies everywhere I looked, there were too many, so many that it turned my stomach and made me feel sick. As I was about to leave the place to continue on our way, I heard a cry in the distance, it seems that no one else paid attention to it except me, when I got closer to the origin of the crying, this little baby was wrapped in thick and warm furs next to the body of a dead wild woman. I knew that if the others saw the baby, they would want to kill it because it belongs to a savage and they hate them and I know that maybe the savages would have come back for him, but winter is coming and I couldn't leave it there to his fate hoping they would come for him. So I did the first thing that came to mind, I emptied my cloth bag and laid him down there carefully and brought him with me, fed him with milk from animals I found and took care of him as best I could, but I don't know what to do now, no one's going to believe he could be mine 'cause no man wants me and if they find out he's a savage, they'll kill him and I don't want that... I know it's a lot to ask, but I need you to help me take care of it, I can't do it alone"-Brienne begged, her voice trembling, and her eyes dropped a few tears
-"Brienne I would give my life for you and you know it, but I don't have the resources to raise a child, you know I don't make much cooking... Besides, I don't know anything about children..."-You whispered, still surprised to see the baby
-"I'll bring you everything he needs, food, clothes, medicine or whatever... I've also seen you take care of the ladies' children, you're excellent with them, at least you have more experience than me and that's already a big step forward. I won't leave you alone, I'll help you in any way I can and I'll come every day, but please help me, I'm begging you..."-the blonde pleaded, hugging the baby to her chest. The truth is that you owed a lot to her, If you had a house it was thanks to her, the same with the job you owned. She always got you what you needed and since you didn't have a family, every time you got sick, she took care of you. This was too much to ask, but you couldn't deny her anything.
-"Fine, but for the smell of him, he just popped and you are going to change him, and when you're done, you'll let me clean up and heal your wound"-You responded and went to finish the meal, you were very nervous and scared but you wanted to keep your composure because you had never seen the blonde so scared to do something as she was at that moment and you wanted to be someone she could trust and lean on. As you cooked, you watched as the blonde struggled to change it, meanwhile, the little baby touched its own diaper, staining its little hand and then passing it through your friend's arm, which made her scream and the baby laugh.
As you watched the awkward and beautiful interaction, you couldn't believe what you were doing, you had agreed to raise a baby with a woman you were madly in love, with the same woman you dreamed of starting a family together and who unintentionally, maybe it would become a reality.

I Hate Myself For Loving You Pt. 3
PT 1 PT 2
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The night air was cool and biting against the wetness trailing down my inner thighs, and I marveled in the freedom I felt from such an uncharacteristically bold move I’d made.
My phone buzzed in my purse, and I let it ring out three times before finally picking up on the fourth call.
I didn’t get the chance to say hello before I heard him yelling in my ear.
“What the fuck? You’re actually fucking kidding me. My brother? You’re disgusting. You’re actually the most despicable human being alive—“
He kept going for another few minutes until I heard the sound of him breathing angrily into the phone, signaling he was done.
“Alright, Chris. I’ll level with you. Yeah, maybe me hooking up with your brother wasn’t exactly the nicest thing I could’ve done, but you and I both know you’re not stupid enough to be confused about why I did it.”
My heels clicked against the sidewalk as I walked, punctuating my sentence for me. I’d never felt so liberated, so free, so—
“I hope it was worth it considering I’m never going to touch you again.”
My heart fell to my stomach.
Of course I’d wanted to make him mad. I’d wanted to see him seething, undeniably jealous and unable to hold back from admitting it any longer. He loved me the way I loved him, I know he did. Does.
With the alcohol still coursing through my system, my mouth opened before my brain could catch up, my words coming out far bolder than they’d usually be.
“I’d never want you to touch me again.”
He scoffed. “I’ll level with you,” he sneered, throwing my words back in my face. “Your slutty little ass can’t stay away for longer than a day, maybe two if you’re feeling especially bitchy right now. I need you to listen to me, because I’m only saying this once. I’m not coming back this time. When you call me crying because you realize how badly you fucked up, I can promise you I won’t pick up. So you better pray to God it was worth it, because I am not going to fuck you. Ever. Again.”
A laugh bubbled up out of my throat, my head swimming slightly as his words only really half sunk in. My eyes rolled and I shook my head as a grin crept its way onto my face.
“See you soon, Chris.”
——————
Once I was inside my front door, I kicked off my heels and headed straight for bed, not bothering to get out of my dress or take off my makeup. Tonight was exhausting, and I could already feel the headache starting to come on, signaling a raging hangover in the morning.
I’d almost been asleep when my phone started buzzing again. My heart lurched, shocked that he’d given up so quickly and was already reaching back out.
Except it wasn’t him.
“Hello?” I said, my eyebrows furrowing in confusion.
“Hey,” Matt breathed out. “I just wanted to make sure you got home okay. I couldn’t find you anywhere when I went back downstairs, so I assume you and your friends must’ve left.”
I smiled softly and warmth spread throughout my body. “Yeah, I’m home. Thank you for checking, that’s really sweet of you. Did you make it back okay?”
“Yeah, walking through my front door now. I’m sorry again about Chris, he’s not usually that…”
“Intense?” I supplied.
“We’ll go with that. Anyway, I just wanted to call and check in on you. I also wanted to say that I had a great time tonight, and I’d love to see you again if you’re up for it.”
The gears in my mind started turning, still feeling half-tipsy and fully spiteful. “Actually, I’m off work tomorrow, and I’ll probably be up for a few more hours anyway. You’re welcome to come over and continue the party here.”
“Oh,” he said, an air of surprise to his tone. “Um, yeah. That sounds good. Text me your address?”
“See you soon.”
I sent over the details and swiftly threw off the covers, climbing out of bed and heading straight for the bathroom. My reflection was rough. There was eyeliner smudged in rings around my eyes, and my hair looked like it hadn’t been brushed in days.
When I heard the first knock at the door, I’d managed to wash my face and get my hair under control, swapping my dress for some sweatpants and a tank top in an effort to look sexily indifferent.
I swing the door open to reveal Matt, still dressed in the same clothes he was in at the party. I suppress a grin at the thought of him rushing out of the door after our phone call and step aside to let him in.
“Hey,” he says, a soft smile on his face as he steps through the threshold into my apartment.
“Hey,” I respond.
He follows me into the kitchen, and I pull a bottle of cheap vodka out of the fridge, setting it on the counter as I look for two shot glasses. “Feel like keeping up the buzz?” I call over my shoulder.
“Oh, always.”
I pour us two shots and we both slam them quickly, shivering as the rubbing alcohol taste sets in. “Sorry, I only buy the cheap shit.”
“All good,” he smiles, stacking our empty shot glasses and leaning forward on the countertop. “This is a nice place.”
I glance around at my cheap one-bedroom apartment, taking in the chipping paint on the walls and the out of date shag carpet that’s peeling up at the corners of the living room. I turn back to him with a raised eyebrow. “No it’s not. This place is a shithole.”
He laughs loudly, raising his shoulders in apology. “Sorry, just trying to break the ice and make conversation. It was the first thing that came to mind.”
“Real smooth,” I tease, circling the countertop and coming to stand next to him. “Who says we need conversation?”
He takes my not-so-subtle hint, wrapping his arms around my waist and giving me a gentle smile before leaning in and softly capturing my lips with his own.
Matt could not be more different from his brother. Chris is all rough grabs and harsh teeth and aiming to get to his end goal, whereas Matt is more soft touches and gentle kisses and putting your needs before his own.
I can’t help but wonder if there’s a way to meet in the middle.
His tongue lightly traces over my neck, placing a soft kiss just below my ear before sucking gently, like he’s scared to leave a mark. My fingers come up to wind into his hair, pulling gently and reveling in the low moan he produces before sucking a little harder.
I inhale sharply when he leans back and blows, the cool air sending a rush of goosebumps down my spine. His hand starts slipping lower on my body, finding the waistband of my sweats and pushing inside. His fingers swirl over the crotch of my panties, and he pushes them aside to rub lightly over my clit, the sensation sparking all of my nerve ending and causing me to arch forward into his touch.
“Fuck, Matt,” I whisper as I dip my head and rest it against his shoulder, gripping his bicep to ensure his arm stays in place. He takes it a sign to speed up, fingers brushing exactly where they need to, and I let out a small whine, wrapping my arm around the back of his neck and entangling my hand in the soft hairs there.
“You sound so pretty, baby,” he whispers back, and he slips forward and sinks two fingers into me quickly, pumping them in and out at a slow pace, fingers crooking in the perfect spot with every thrust.
I can hear myself panting and moaning loudly as he works, and I look up and make eye contact, taken completely aback by his features.
There’s a soft smile on his face and a caring light in his eyes, and he just looks so… soft. Like he gives a fuck how I’m feeling. If this is good for me. It’s overwhelming and devastating all at once, and I can’t stop myself from thinking that this must be how Chris would look if he let down his guard and was fully open with me.
My heart twinges painfully in my chest, and I feel slightly guilty for still comparing the two when I should be solely focused on Matt, but these past five months of emotional torture that Chris has been putting me through are embedded in my brain. I can’t seem to separate the two of them no matter how hard I try.
Another precise curl of his fingers causing me to come soaring back to reality, and I lean in to kiss him again, needing to feel his emotions rather than seeing them. The kiss is sloppy, breaking apart each time I pant or moan again, and he moves to place small kisses on my cheek, on my eyelid, on my forehead.
Just as I feel like I’m about to burst into tears from the sheer kindness of his actions, he pulls out and grabs the back of my thighs, picking me up and placing another small kiss on my lips. “Bedroom?” he asks.
“Through the living room, to the right.”
He caries me through my apartment, pushing open the door with his knee and walking inside before laying me gently on the bed. His hands slide down to the waistband of my sweats again, and he hooks two fingers inside, glancing up at me for confirmation. I nod gently and he slides them off my body along with my underwear before climbing onto the bed with me. He hovers over me and reaches up to remove my shirt, leaving me bare and exposed in front of him.
“You’re so beautiful,” he whispers, running his hands along my body in a way that’s far from sexual. It’s like he’s trying to take it all in, trying to memorize every curve and dip and the softness of my skin. Like he’s praising me. Worshipping me.
I can’t take it any longer, and I yank his shirt over his head and reach down to tear open the button on his jeans, but his hands come down to stop me. I look up in question, and he laughs a little. “Slow down, sweetheart. We don’t need to rush through this, I want to take my time.”
The air leaves my body at his words, watching in a daze as he slides his pants and boxers off in one fluid motion. He leans back over me, head ducking down and tongue flicking out lightly over my nipple. I shiver and moan slightly as he slides his way down to between my thighs, and immediately sets to work lapping at my clit. His fingers come back up to slide into me and my hand flies down to his hair, gripping it tightly as I arch my back off the bed.
“God, yes. That feels so good,” I whine, digging my heels into the bed and scooting forward, trying to push him further inside me. His fingers begin to scissor slightly, and I feel my legs start to shake, so close to the edge but refusing to let myself fall over it yet. “Matt, please. Please, I need you inside me.”
His head pops up and a grin overtakes his face at my begging, but his fingers continue to work inside of me, twisting and arching and making me fall apart beneath him. He pulls them out and rubs slow, lazy circles over my core, watching me intensely. “You sure?”
“Yes, fuck. Please, Matt,” I say, moving my hand to his shoulder and trying to pull him up. He stays rooted where he is and gives me a wink, maintaining eye contact as he leans down and licks a flat stripe over me again.
It’s almost too much, and I let out a mix of a whine and a whimper, trying to pull back. His hands hook under my thighs, pulling me closer and keeping me firmly where I am. He blows again, the rush of air breezing over my clit and I feel my stomach muscles tense. “Matt,” I whine again.
“Okay, okay.” He relents, pulling himself up to settle over me. I feel his tip pressing against my entrance and he leans down, placing another kiss on my forehead before pushing in slowly. I gasp at the feeling, wrapping my legs tightly around his waist and arching up to try to take him in more. “Slow, baby. I want you to feel it all.”
I can’t even form words at this point, utterly wrecked under him from the anticipation. I feel each slow, excruciating inch push in until he’s settled at the hilt, and he pulls back out just as slow before sliding back in. I’ve never been treated so tenderly, and I feel simultaneously too cold and too hot with the way his gaze trails over my face, searching for any sign of discomfort.
“That’s it,” he murmurs, continuing his gentle pace. “Just like that.”
I finally give in, relaxing my entire body and simply allowing myself to feel. His head drops down to nestle against my neck, switching between light sucking and simply pressing his lips there, and I hear my phone buzz on my nightstand. He doesn’t pay it any mind, and I reach over to find Chris’s contact name lighting it up.
I knew he’d give in.
I ignore the text and opt for calling him instead, discarding my phone back on my nightstand as it rings. I watch the screen go black, signaling he picked up, and wrap my arms around Matt’s neck.
“Fuck, Matt. You feel so good,” I moan.
“You sound so pretty, baby. Keep saying my name,” he responds, picking up speed with his thrusts.
My body arches up into his and I pull his hair slightly, making him groan and dig his fingers into my hips. “Harder, Matt, please,” I choke out, turning to suck a spot onto his neck. The thought of him going home and Chris seeing it fuels me along with his noises, and he starts to pound into me mercilessly.
I’m holding on by a thread, and I can feel his legs shaking, a clear signal that he is too. “Cum for me, Matt,” I moan, and we both unravel together, my high-pitched whining turning into a near scream as he mumbles sweet words into my ear.
“Fuck, yes. God, I could stay here forever,” he says, nipping at my earlobe as we both come down. “Your body is so perfect. You’re so beautiful.”
I lean up and press our lips together, sealing his words into my mouth. We lay intertwined, sweaty and panting, and he rubs light circles over my back as his other hand runs its fingers through my hair. I’ve never felt so content after sex, and it’s a feeling I could quickly get used to.
I lean over to check my phone screen and see the call has ended, as well as six new text messages having come in. I flip it over and cuddle back into Matt, placing light kisses on his torso as we start to drift into sleep together.
Chris can wait.

John Price Silly thought
Hello, my little loves. How are we? Before we begin, this is a silly thought—nothing too drastic. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride. Don't forget to Reblog and comment, alright? I love to hear and see from you, as many of you sit and wait for the following drops of the parts/chapters of my two stories. And remember, my loves, I am more than happy to write your requests if you have them. alright, talk soon, my little loves. I'm warning you that this may be a little NSFW, as it talks about the adult industry! Ok? just a warning before I begin.
Tumblr media
ANYWAY
I've seen a lot of Simon as a porn star as well as Johnny, but what about Price? Like hello?
That man depending on how you think of him, is either the sweetest man alive or the meanest, most vicious man alive in his pornos, like come on!
I could see him having a long veiny cock that is a little fat at the bottom and can be like super sensitive…(I could say more, but that's for another silly thought)
Depending on how the first meeting with him may determine how he treats you in the video if you come in all haughty and arrogant, he will knock you down SEVERAL pegs, and I do mean SEVERAL! Like he will ruin you even if that meant going off script and pissing off his director, like him making your ass red, leaving bruises and bites, little beard burns everywhere (Like he means to make it the roughest sex you would ever have)
Now, if you were as sweet as pie? So kind and almost wide-eyed in the first meeting, I could see him being so kind, almost like you would expect a boyfriend to be: gentle caresses, sweet words, soothing strokes, gentle kisses. I could see him bending over backwards to adore you on camera, almost showing you off.
But I can also see him, probably by 2016, retiring, still kicking about here and there, making the pairings and the writings.
But I imagine a series of videos of him getting leaked of him talking some newbies through their first scene, or 'Correcting' their positions and such, that brings him back into the spotlight, every one failing in love with a side of him, this now sweet older man, who takes excellent care of his stars.
But what throws him back into the spotlight, making him front page news everywhere on most news sources, is a clip of him going viral because someone refused to take the word no. The picture used most was a screenshot of his fist blurry as he swung.

A/N: OH MY GOD IM ALIVE???? Yeah, it appears I am 😭 I'm so sorry about the long wait on this chapter, the past two weeks have been wild for me ever since I came back from my vacation. 1. My dad crashed his car? 2. I had like five projects due during the past two weeks and I had to write in a report and evaluation about my project groupmate who essentially did nothing 😐 if I could beat someone's ass without getting suspended, istg... 3. I've been suffering from a lot of chest pains recently, which kinda stopped me from doing my thing for a while 4. I had insane writers block for like a week and it was horrid 😖 but luckily, I'm back now, and hopefully updating more often! And also I've learnt that my classmate is following me on tumblr, I am a little mortified, but hello regardless. Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy this chapter! 💕 no Daemon cameo unfortunately, but he'll be back next chapter, and messier than ever.

109 years after Aegon's Conquest
The doors to the room burst open, and you stepped in, a little out of breath. Lord Hobert Hightower and the Hand, who were standing closest to the doorway, were engrossed deep in conversation when you walked in, and you heard something along the lines of “It’s only a matter of time before Viserys names him heir.” You try not to frown at that, nodding politely to them before heading over to the crowd gathered over at the other side of the room, cooing at the heir in question: little Aegon, who was celebrating his second nameday.
“Ah, Y/N!” Viserys exclaimed happily, gesturing for you to come and stand between him and Alicent, whose face was radiant with happiness. Viserys signalled for the wet nurse to step forward, and before you knew it, little Aegon was in your arms, babbling in that toddler frenzy of his. The assemblage of lords and ladies stepped closer to you, much to your discomfort, as you forced a cheerful smile and bounced Aegon up and down in your arms, which made him squeal with delight. “I fear that Aegon might come to see you as his mother sooner or late, Y/N, given how much he adores you.” Viserys claimed. You flush at his words, and Alicent soon steps in, smiling, “Tis true. Aegon always perks up when he’s in your arms.” You were sure you would melt into a puddle if you were subject to any more of their compliments. “You flatter me, Your Graces.”
In the periphery of your vision, you saw Ser Tyland Lannister attempt to get Viserys’ attention, and you handed back a now fussing Aegon to his nursemaid. Alicent shuffled over to the feast table, and she smiled brightly as you approached. Placing a hand on her swollen belly, your heart fluttered with delight when you felt a slight kick. Though the horrors of childbirth still plagued your mind, being there for Alicent’s relatively smooth birth with Aegon had made your fears lessen a little.
“How’s the babe?” you ask. “Only active when you’re here, it seems,” Alicent laughed. “They never seem to kick for anyone else other than you. I think they will adore you as much as Aegon does.” You chuckle, stroking Alicent’s belly gently. “What if the kicking is a sign that the babe will dislike me?” Alicent patted your hand, “Definitely not. I have no doubt in my mind that you will be dear to the babe.” she said with conviction. You blush at her words, “You flatter me, Your Grace.”
“Can someone tell me where in the Seven Hells Rhaenyra might be?” Viserys’ frustrated bellow drew you and Alicent out of your tender moment. Alicent’s face twisted with worry, and you were sure your face was a mirror image of hers. “You came in later than the rest of us. Did you see Rhaenyra anywhere?” You shake your head glumly, “She wasn’t in her chambers, or her apartments.” Alicent sighed in exasperation, “Viserys has questioned nearly every courtier in the room, and not a single one of them has a clue. Where might she be?” You chewed your lip, thinking back to the snippet of conversation you had overheard between the Hand and Lord Hobert. “She’s upset right now. The two of you were…” You refrained from finishing the sentence when you saw Alicent wince. “Do you have any inkling on where she might go to cool off?” “I don’t belie-” A look of realisation dawned in Alicent’s eyes. “You know somewhere?” You ask her urgently. Alicent nodded, “I’ll go find her. You should stay and satiate yourself before the journey.” “Are you sure?” You ask her, concerned. Alicent squeezed your hand gently. “Don’t worry about me. I think I can get Rhaenyra to see reason.”
You glance pensively at Alicent’s retreating figure. Sighing, you approached the refreshments table, smiling gratefully as a servant handed you a plate with some slices of roast pork. You heard your name being called, and turned around to find Viserys. “Your Grace-” you moved to curtsy, but Viserys stopped you, “I told you, no need for such stuffy courtesies when you are with me.” You smiled wryly, “I thought it wouldn’t apply in a room full of courtiers.” Viserys waved away your words, “You are my family, Y/N. There are no such constraints within your own kin.” You smile sadly at the word ‘family’. It was a little sad to say, but you definitely did feel more of a kinship with the current members of House Targaryen over those of your own house.
“Speaking of kin,” Viserys’ voice turned serious. “I am in need of a favour from you, Y/N.” You snapped to attention. “Whatever you need, Viserys.” He sighed, looking mournful and irritated at the same time. “It has been nigh three years since I have wedded Alicent. Time after time, I have tried to approach Rhaenyra, but she shuns me away every single time. The rare chances she actually sits down and listens, she sulks like a child and only provides me with short responses.” Viserys sighed again, whatever sadness he had turning into disappointment and exasperation. “This is not the way the heir to the Iron Throne should behave.” He looked at you beseechingly, “I implore you, Y/N. I believe what Rhaenyra needs is for a motherly figure to talk to her, and persuade her to abandon such foolish antics. I fear Alicent would not be able to serve such a role, since Rhaenyra’s ire is directed at the both of us. But you,” You swallowed nervously. “I’ve seen how close Rhaenyra kept you after Aemma’s death. For months, apart from Alicent, you were her closest confidant. I know naught of what has transpired between the two of you, but I believe you to be the best person for this tiresome task. Will you do methis favour?”
Your expression was resigned, but you forced out a smile nonetheless. “But of course. I will do my best, Viserys.” He closed his eyes in relief, clapping you on the shoulder. “I knew I could count on you, Y/N. Thank you.” You gave a tentative smile back, painfully aware of the numerous eyes glued to the both of you. What you failed to notice, however, were the heavy gazes of Otto and Hobert Hightower on you.

An awkward silence weighed upon the royal wheelhouse as it made its way to the Kingswood. You glance uncomfortably between Viserys, Alicent, and Rhaenyra, watching with some pity as Viserys attempted to make conversation with his irascible and sullen daughter. A miniature dragon thrust in your face soon drew your attention however, and you looked down to frown admonishingly at little Aegon, who blinked his wide violet eyes at you innocently. The little devil, you were sure he was trying to garner your attention on purpose. Earlier, he had been weeping inconsolably, much to the nursemaid’s and Alicent’s distress. But when you had taken him into your arms, he had ceased his tears immediately and gave you a cherubic smile, which made Alicent give you a knowing smile and Rhaenyra to look at the both of you in disdain. The expression of disdain had yet to depart from Rhaenyra, as you played patiently with Aegon, flying his dragon miniature around him and smiling as the toddler spun his head around to follow the motions of the dragon with rapt fascination.
The tension in the wheelhouse was not lightening in the slightest bit, as Viserys began talking about Rhaenyra giving him grandchildren, of all things. You had to stop yourself from groaning in exasperation. If Viserys truly wanted to reconnect with Rhaenyra again, why was he digging himself into an even bigger hole? He should know that after Aemma, Rhaenyra would be disinclined to entertain notions of childbirth. You wanted to put your head in your hands, but Aegon poked you in the cheek.
“No one’s here for me!” Rhaenyra’s angry outburst halted all activity in the wheelhouse, including Aegon’s. You froze, looking up at Rhaenyra, but her bitter gaze was focused solely on her father. All of you endured the rest of the ride in silence.
The rocking of the wheelhouse soon came to an end. You remained seated as Viserys and Alicent stepped out to the raucous cheers of the crowd, allowing Aegon’s nursemaid to take him from your arms. You remembered Viserys’ plea, and took in Rhaenyra’s wistful expression. “Hail, hail! Aegon the Conqueror babe, Second of His Name!” You grimace when you hear the tasteless remark.
Rhaenyra’s fists were clenched at her sides, and her eyes were shut. With frustration, or with sadness, she didn’t know. Suddenly, she felt a gentle hand taking her fisted hand and unclenching it. She didn’t need to open her eyes to see who it was. “I don’t need your pity.” Rhaenyra tried to sound snappy, but her voice was hoarse. You didn’t answer, instead intertwining your fingers with Rhaenyra. She reluctantly opened her eyes, only to see you directing a hostile glare to the outside commotion, as more and more voices heralded Aegon as the Second of His Name. Rhaenyra couldn’t help but smile at that, letting some of the tension seep out of her muscles.
At least there was someone in her dark and lonely corner, even if that someone’s trustworthiness had yet to be ascertained.

You were sitting next to Alicent, as she held court with the various noble ladies who had attended the hunt. You listened, silently sipping from your goblet as they conversed about the ongoing war in the Stepstones. You watched as Larys Strong and Rhaenyra soon joined in the conversation, though a slight frown of distaste was soon visible on your face, when Lady Lannister and Lady Redwyne in particular, began picking on Rhaenyra. You had to hide a smirk when Rhaenyra made a well-directed jab at Lady Redwyne, and the smirk only widened when you saw her pig-faced dog gobble greedily at the cake on her plate. How fitting.
“You know, Lady Y/N.” Your head snapped up as Lady Redwyne addressed you. She had a displeased look on her face: clearly she hadn’t missed your smirk at her expense. “I was…pleasantly surprised to hear Her Grace appointed you as her chief lady-in-waiting.” Your eyes narrowed, your dormant prickly nature coming to life once more. “It was a great honour, Lady Joselyn. One that I am greatly grateful to Her Grace for.”
Lady Redwyne gave you a smile, that you knew from all your years of court politics, was filled with ill intent. “I must say, if you were out in the battlefield fighting on the Stepstones, the war would be won by now.” You felt Alicent stiffen next to you, and you instinctively reached out to put your hand on hers. “What are you insinuating, Lady Redwyne?” Alicent’s tone was sharper than usual. Lady Redwyne attempted to school her features back to deference, but her lips were curved upwards. “Forgive me, Your Grace. I was not attempting to insinuate anything. It was a compliment to Lady Y/N.” You levelled a fierce glare at her, but she seemed unaffected, looking at you straight in the eye. “It is a well known fact that she and Prince Daemon had tempers that rivalled each other. With such willfulness, she would make a formidable opponent on the battlefield, would she not?”
You were about to deliver an equally cutting and backhanded response, but you were surprised when you heard Rhaenyra speak up once more, “Yes, Lady Redwyne. But as luck would have it, she is the Queen’s lady-in-waiting now.” Rhaenyra’s tone was acidic. “And I am certain that she will carry out her duties with skill and grace. The Queen will not be able to find someone as capable as her.”
The ladies were stunned that Rhaenyra had spoken up for you, none more so than you and Alicent. “The princess is right. Lady Y/N has been a dutiful lady-in-waiting and companion. The Seven have truly blessed me with her.” Your eyes water with gratitude, as Lady Redwyne and the other ladies fall silent after both the princess and the queen’s swift defence of you.
So this was what kinship felt like.

Night had fallen, and the air was ablaze with the smell of smoke. You had sat faithfully by Alicent all day, as she entertained lords and ladies alike. You had not seen Rhaenyra in quite some time though, and you worry about where she could have wandered off to. Your anxiety only increased tenfold when you saw Viserys’ goblet never straying from his hand, and he had been lifting it to his lips moreso after his conversations with the Hand, Jason Lannister, and Lyonel Strong, in particular. Alicent was clearly on edge as well, her brown eyes watchful as she witnessed her husband lose himself in his cups. When Viserys abruptly left the tent after a brief, yet intense conversation with Lyonel Strong, Alicent got up to go after him, but you gently pushed her back down to her seat, giving her a reassuring look. She should not need to see her husband in such a misbegotten state, while in her pregnancy, you thought to yourself, as you wrapped your shawl around you, shivering in the cold night air.
You eventually found Viserys by the huge bonfire, downing yet another goblet of wine, while being guarded by two Kingsguard. They nodded at you as you passed. You went straight to Viserys, taking the cup whilst he was distracted. “I think that’s enough for you tonight, Viserys.” Your voice was soft, yet firm. He gave you an enervated smile. “The night is cold, you shouldn’t be out here.” You hand the goblet over to a Kingsguard. “Who will look after you, then? And make sure you do not drink yourself into a stupor?” Viserys laughed heartily, before he coughed. You reach for him, concerned. He stared into the flames, looking like he wanted to step into them himself. “Y/N.” “Hmm?” Viserys took a deep breath, trying to control the slurring in his voice. “What do you think is the foundation of House Targaryen’s strength?”
You tilt your head to the side questioningly, “That is a trick question, right? Of course, the answer is House Targaryen’s dragons.” Viserys smiled ruefully, turning over to face you. You were taken aback by the blazing intensity, perhaps even madness in his eyes. “You’re wrong, Y/N. It began with a dream.” He turned back to face the fire. “When Daenys the Dreamer had the dream that prophesied the end of the Valyrian Freehold, that dream saved House Targaryen. While all the other dragonlords were destroyed, it was only us who survived.” “I know of that tale. Your grandsire told us that tale when we were younger.”
Viserys didn’t seem to hear you, however, his bleak gaze still on the fire. “In my line, many had been dragonriders. Very few among us have been dreamers. What is the power of dragons, next to the power of prophecy?” You shivered, and not because of the cold. Yet you continue listening. “When Rhaenyra was a child, I saw it in a dream. As vivid as these flames, I saw it. A male babe, born to me, wearing the Conqueror’s crown. And I so wanted it to be true, to be a dreamer myself. I sought that vision again, night after night…but it never came again. I poured all my thought and will into it. And my obsession killed Aemma.” You looked away at that, your heart wrenched with grief.  “I thought Rhaenyra was the way out of my abyss of grief and regret. That naming her heir would set things right.”
“Are you saying you regret naming Rhaenyra heir then?” Viserys looked grieved. “Oftentimes, yes…I have. I worried that I had named Rhaenyra out of anger towards Daemon, not out of love, or for the good of the realm.” He moved to grip your shoulders, tears in his eyes. “Y/N, I never imagined that I would remarry. That I would have a son. What if…what if I was wrong all along?”
You stared into his despair-filled eyes. “I cannot tell you if you’re wrong, Viserys. There are only two paths ahead of you now, and as King, you must be prepared to take one, and soon.” Viserys chuckles, drooping his head. “What if I’m not sure what path I should take?” Your voice was quiet. “Then the realm will descend into chaos.”
The both of you were silent, staring at each other in the firelight. While you couldn’t say that you approved of Viserys’ decisions in the past three years, after all this, he was your friend, and he was just a mere mortal, plagued by regrets, grief, and hesitation. Just like you, and everyone else. Even kings were not infallible to weakness, you surmised. And in that moment, there was a mutual understanding and grievance shared between the both of you: the burden of choice.

The morrow brought about clear skies and sun, much to the delight of the lords partaking in the hunt. It did not alleviate your worries however, as Rhaenyra still had not returned to the encampment. You found yourself milling about today, much too tired to suffer the thinly veiled jabs the fellow noblewomen were directing at you about your infamous temper.
You were dressed in a simpler riding outfit today, to mingle around with the various smallfolk and merchants that had set up stalls in the encampment, hoping eagerly to attract some lord’s attention and earn a few gold dragons. You beamed as you sampled a rather delicious roast pork skewer, giving the stall owner - a rather plump woman - two golden dragons, much to her glee. You strode back to the main tent, feeling satisfied, when you suddenly heard the sound of hooves. You turned your head as a palomino horse skidded to a halt, and a familiar man, with more grey hairs than he had the last time you saw him, dismount from the horse and take off his riding gloves. His eyes light up as soon as he catches sight of you, and without giving you a window to escape, he strode towards you. You chew your lip in dread as he approached.
“Father.”
“Y/N.” He beams at you, his eyes crinkled at the corners. You smile awkwardly at him, fidgeting with your fingers. His smile falters a little when he notices your hesitation. “I haven’t seen you in years, daughter. Does this momentous occasion not warrant a hug?” You inwardly sigh, and reach out to embrace your father. Your father grins at you as you pull away after an awkward pause. “You have grown, daughter. You look beautiful.” “You flatter me, Father.” “Come, walk with me. We have much to talk about.” You swallowed, but followed as he set out for the forested edge of the campground.
The both of you strode in silence for a while, before you ventured to break the silence. “The King didn’t mention you would be joining us for the hunt, Father. Why the sudden change of heart?” He sighed. “Can an old man not choose to be in nature once in a while?” “Of course you can, father. I was just concerned: you are no longer in the pink of health, and riding all the way from Highgarden to the Kingswood is a gruelling journey.” Your father waved his hand dismissively. “Twas nothing. I might be getting on in my years, but I recently found a new source of reinvigoration.”
“Oh?” you cocked your head curiously. You sincerely hoped the new source of reinvigoration was not a new bid for your hand. Your father smiled, “I recently remarried to Lady Clarice of House Fossoway.” Seeing your confused look, he hurried to clarify. “Of Cider Hall.” Surprise creased your features. “But…wasn’t that Mother’s maiden house? Lady Clarice was her cousin, was she not?” Your father’s smile was beginning to look strained. “Does it matter, daughter? What matters is that I am happy with her, is it not? And I am certain she will give me strong sons soon.” You regard him with a degree of caution, noting the shift in his voice. In your years of dealing with court politics, you could instinctively tell when a situation was about to go from bad to worse. “I did not know you had any plans on remarrying after Mother’s death.”
“And whose fault is that, daughter?” Your father’s tone turned chiding. “I know you’ve been ignoring all the ravens I’ve sent to you over the past few years. Specifically, those with letters attached from me pleading for you to just find yourself a match at court or select one of the eligible lords in the lists I sent you.” You blushed, looking sheepish. Matthos sighed. “Daughter, you are no longer young. It is past time you are wed. I only want what’s best for you.”
“But-” you blurted out, “What if I don’t think getting married is what’s best for me, Father?” Your father looked askance at that. “What else could a young lady such as yourself desire other than marriage?” You bit your lip, “Father, the truth is…I do not think I have a desire to wed now…or ever.” You were beginning to get anxious as your father’s face lost some of his paternal tenderness. “Five years. I had hoped that our time apart had given you some time to reflect on your…misconceptions.” He gripped your shoulders, an intense blaze in his eyes as your heart began to thud with dread. “The matter of marriage is not one that you can dismiss so easily anymore, Y/N. It entails the survival and future of House Tyrell. You must do your duty and wed a respectable lord, for the sake of our house.” Though you had heard those words aplenty, today, it was like something uninhibited had seized control of you, as you burst out. “Why should I care about doing my duty to House Tyrell?” you snapped. “I have made it clear that it is not my intention to ever take a husband, now and in the foreseeable future. You claim this is all done for my own happiness. So why can’t you just respect my wishes?”
“Because you are not just some poxy peasant who can gallivant about as you please. You are my daughter!” You were shocked when your father suddenly raised his voice. Trepidation had dimmed your previous righteousness. He tightens his grip on your shoulders, his expression filled with an anger you had never glimpsed before. This…this was not the father you remember. The father you knew had never once raised his voice at you, always treating you with patience as his only child. Though he was prone to bouts of frustrated pleading when you did not acquiesce to his wishes to get married, he had never once shouted at you like that. Or even gripped your shoulders with such forcefulness you feared he might strike you. “You are just as useless as your late mother.” You were stunned, your eyes searing with hot tears. “Do not insult Mother like that. She was the most wonderful woman-” “Wonderful, you say?” your father snorted. “If she were so wonderful, then she would have provided me with a strong and healthy son to succeed me! Instead, she left me with a daughter who is ungrateful and strangely determined to remain a spinster all her life.” he spat out the words with such vitriol that you were taken aback. “If she were so wonderful,” your father continued with his rant. “Then would House Tyrell be in imminent danger of collapsing, all because the only heirs I have are your incompetent, doltish cousins who will run the legacy our ancestors and I have built to the ground?” He moved to clasp your hand tightly in his, looking desperate and angry all at once. “Daughter, your father is imploring you. You must get wed, and provide me with a grandson. You cannot let House Tyrell go to ruin.” You stare at him, feeling beleaguered. “Do my wishes mean nothing to you?” “This is because your wishes are obscenely unreasonable, Y/N.” your father snaps. “It is practically unheard of for a woman of your status to not wed.” “It is not!” you insisted, “I am the chief lady-in-waiting to the Queen now, I have duties I must perform. And there have been histories of lords whose daughters were largely spinsters. Moreover, you have remarried.” Your voice became desperate as you tried to make your father see reason. “Lady Clarice is young, she will give you many sons in due time. Suitable heirs to Highgarden. I do not understand why you are putting all this pressure on me.” You took a deep breath, preparing to make your final stand. “I want to enjoy the rest of my youth, Father. Not to sit in a castle, entrapped in a loveless marriage and pumping out potential heirs for my husband and for you. I want to live my life, free of constraints.” You looked at him, unshed tears in your eyes. “Please, father. This is the one thing I have ever asked of you, and that is to respect my wishes.”
Matthos was silent for a long while, and you held hope, briefly, that you might have gotten through to him with your pleading. “Foolish, insolent girl!” Your hopes were dashed as your father flung off your hand, shouting at you. “How can you be so selfish? To not take responsibility in ensuring the continuation of our house’s line?” “That is your responsibility, not mine!” you shouted back. Seeing that pleas would not get to your father now, you resorted to fighting fire with fire instead. “Had you really cared about continuing our house’s bloodline, you would’ve remarried years ago!” You could see how your shouts were drawing the attention of some courtiers, given how close the both of you were to the camp for royals. You heard the faint sound of hooves behind you, but you ignored them, too engrossed in your argument with your father. “Producing heirs is a lord’s responsibility. So if you are accusing me of not doing my duty, you should first be reprimanding yourself.”
Your father’s face grew red. “You little brat! How dare you say these things about your father!” “I spoke only the truth,” you shot back. He raised his hand, and for a moment you were afraid he was going to slap you for your outburst. Instead, he went to grip your shoulders again, “For years, I have raised you, clothed you in the finest silks, fed you, and put up with your ridiculous whims and wants! I’ve been patient, I’ve been loving and understanding when you rejected all the marriage offers you received. I’ve pleaded, and even given you the time and freedom to find a more suitable match at court. Yet you cannot even perform your duty as my daughter. No longer.” Your heart stuttered a little. “What do you mean?” Your father gave you a cold look. “I’m saying, if you do not get married by the end of the year, you are no longer my daughter.” Your eyes widen with horror. “I will effectively disown and disinherit you from House Tyrell, and if I sire any children by Lady Clarice, they shall not support you either.”
Your voice was tremulous, “Father, you…you cannot be serious. Do not let your anger cloud your judgement.” Matthos Tyrell looked at his daughter, his face one of disgust. “You wanted to enjoy your youth without constraints. And since you seem to enjoy being lady-in-waiting to the Queen so much, I’m only granting you what you wished for, am I not?”
You stepped back, feeling winded by your father’s words. However, you nearly jumped when you felt a familiar hand on your shoulder. “Ah, Y/N!” You were not sure whether you felt more mortified or relieved for Viserys’ timely presence. “Your Grace!” Immediately, your father’s distaste gave way to deference, as he straightened his posture and bowed before the King. You inclined your head respectfully, wondering if Viserys had overheard your conversation. “Forgive me for interrupting your conversation.” Oh, he definitely overheard.
“There’s nothing to forgive, Your Grace. I am delighted to be in your presence.” Your father gushed on profusely, as Viserys stepped toward him. You hung your head, still abashed by your father’s threats, when you felt a gentle hand on your shoulder once more. Alicent smiled at you understandingly, and you grimaced when you realised she had also overheard the unpleasant exchange. Still, you shot her a grateful look for her show of support.
“I must offer you my sincerest felicitations for Prince Aegon’s second nameday, Your Grace.” Viserys laughed, “Your felicitations are greatly appreciated, Lord Matthos. I must extend you mine as well, for your recent remarriage. I see it is treating you well.” Your father beamed, “You are too kind, Your Grace. And indeed, my lady wife pleases me so. Now, the only thing that would make me the happiest man in the realm would be my daughter finally settling down with a respectable match.” You stiffened at that, something Alicent took notice of, and she offered you a sympathetic look. Viserys chuckled, “That you and I can both agree on, Lord Matthos. There is nothing more I desire right now than seeing Rhaenyra being wed to a deserving man who will treat her right.”
“Oh, I am sure Her Grace will have her pick of men. She is ‘The Realm’s Delight’, after all. Any man who weds her will be a lucky one.” Your father’s voice dropped to a conspiratorial tone, as he glanced at you. “Moreover, Her Grace is young, comely, and lovely to behold.” Matthos sighed, shaking his head as he chuckled, “Mine own daughter is not in possess of such qualities, I’m afraid. She is getting on with her years, and though I love her deeply, as her father, I must admit she has quite a temper on her. She's not quite the attractice match, which gives me a headache,” Matthos jested with the King, causing you to wince and look away. Alicent looked disconcerted at your father’s tasteless jesting, tightening her hold on your shoulder. However, the both of you did not notice the flare of annoyance behind Viserys’ eyes, so his next words surprised the both of you.
“Lady Y/N has been nothing but a delight to have at court, Lord Matthos. In spite of her age, I’m sure she has no shortage of suitors.” Viserys’ voice was amiable, polite, yet it carried an undertone of firmness and reprimand such that Matthos looked a little stunned, worried that he had overstepped. You looked back to the pair, your eyes wide with disbelief. “And should Y/N ever find herself unwilling to marry, the Red Keep will always welcome her. She is like family to me, after all.” Your father fell silent, and you locked eyes with Viserys, looking lost, yet appreciative all the same. Viserys gave you a reassuring smile, and you could see the sincerity behind his intent. Your eyes prickled with touched tears, but the moment was interrupted when you heard shouts across the campground, startling your party. You turned around, only to behold the sight of Rhaenyra, stained head to toe with dried blood, a commanding aura in her swagger as her sworn shield, Ser Criston, trailed behind her, along with two servants carrying a dead boar. You lock eyes with her momentarily, and she gives a small nod of acknowledgement to you, although her eyes turned cold when they looked upon her father. You heard Viserys sigh, and you saw how Viserys looked both annoyed and relieved for Rhaenyra’s safety, while your father just looked bewildered, perhaps even a little scared. Despite yourself, you smiled a little at the scene.

Alicent and you were chatting in her chambers, laughing in hushed tones as you rocked Aegon to sleep in your arms, when the Hand entered the room, requesting to speak with Alicent. You handed a sleepy Aegon to his nursemaid, before curtsying and exiting the room, painfully aware of the Hand’s weighty gaze upon you as you did.
Alicent knew that her father had not visited her out of a gesture of goodwill, and as she listened to his rather maddening reasoning that Alicent should attempt to make her husband see reason and name Aegon heir, she only stayed silent. There was no point in countering back anyway - the Hand always seemed to have a dozen other reasons to quell her opposition. She felt uncomfortable, for speaking of this was treason, and the babe shifted in her belly, causing her to sigh.
Otto observed his daughter, noting with mild exasperation that she wasn’t paying heed to anything he was saying. So, he decided to change the subject. “About your lady-in-waiting…” he began. Alicent’s head snapped up, “What do you wish to discuss of Y/N?” Otto let a smile play over his lips: it was quite evident his daughter cared for the Tyrell lady, and from his further observations over the past three years, treated her akin to a maternal figure. Which might make it easier for her to accept what he proposed next. “I overheard a rather…interesting conversation she had, with Lord Matthos today.” Alicent showed no visible reaction, but she stared at her father, feeling an all-too-familiar feeling of dread settle in her gut. “I think half the campground overheard their argument. What of it?”
Otto hummed softly, “It seems her father is worrying about her marriage. Which is a reasonable worry - she is on the cusp of her twenty fifth nameday, is she not?” Alicent nodded slowly, eyeing her father with caution. She knew him all too well, how he was tapping his fingers on the armrests of his chair - he was scheming. She recalled how upset you were when you spoke with your father, citing your dreams to enjoy your youth and be freed of the constraints of marriage. In later years, she had come to both see you as a cherished companion and a parental figure of sorts, and she cared for you, deeply so. You were her only source of comfort in the Red Keep, one who did not expect or demand anything of her, someone she felt she could truly be open with. She glanced fearfully at her father.
She had to put an end to this. She must save you from suffering the same fate she did.
“Father…you are not planning on taking a new wife, are you?” Alicent fidgeted with her fingers nervously, her eyes fixed on Otto. He was quiet for a long while, and in response to her question, he only stood up and went over to his daughter, placing a hand on her swollen belly. His cryptic answer disturbed Alicent. “You worry too much over matters that do not need worrying about, daughter. Your concern now, should be Aegon. Raise him well, and raise him strong. He shall be an important man one day.”

Come the morrow, the Godswood was completely devoid of any life. Which proved to be a boon to you, who was seeking some reprieve from the busy atmosphere of the Red Keep and the somewhat maddening task of having to feed Aegon -  due to his tendency of smooshing the food in the face of whomever had the misfortune of feeding him, most commonly you.
You sat on the stone bench, staring despondently at the Godswood tree. While you were never particularly religious, either to the Seven or to the Old Gods, the happenings of the hunt have driven you to pray with increasing fervency these days. What you prayed for, you did not know. Was it for the hope that your father’s heart might soften and he might be persuaded to leave you be for the rest of your life? You scoffed to yourself, knowing how improbable it was. Fiddling with the pendant - Aemma’s pendant, you sighed, tilting your head downwards to the ground.
You were startled when you heard movement next to you, of another soul taking a seat next to you on the bench, her posture ramrod straight, and her expression blank. Rhaenyra’s linen sleeves fluttered slightly in the breeze.
“I suppose neither of us are in the best of spirits,” Rhaenyra’s voice was stilted, like she was reluctant to break the silence first. You lifted your head upright, looking at her with a tentative smile, “No, I suppose we aren’t.” An awkward silence highlighted the chasm between the two of you. You wondered, had this truly been the girl of fourteen who confided in you about everything? Now, it seems there is a stark contrast to the Rhaenyra you once knew to the Rhaenyra before you. Though of course, you were to be blamed for that.
“My father has just ordered me to embark on a tour of the realm. A marriage tour.” Rhaenyra’s bitter tone roused you from your thoughts. “I do not know why I’m telling you this. Perhaps it’s because you are the only person in the Keep who might have the slightest sympathy for what I’m going through.” Rhaenyra’s voice lowered to a slightly malicious pitch, but there was no disguising the hurt behind her voice. “Or maybe it would be false sympathy. But it is better than none.”
You winced, wanting to reach out and take Rhaenyra’s hand, the way you knew she loved. Physical touch was Rhaenyra’s favourite way of receiving and expressing affection. A wane smile pulled at your lips as you heard her words, “You might be cynical, but I have more sympathies to your plight than you might think, Princess.” Rhaenyra was surprised by the resignation in your tone. She recalled the scene she had seen when she returned to the royal encampment at the hunt that day. “...does it have something to do with your father?”
You let out a sad laugh, “Indeed. I have been forced into a situation much more precarious than yours, I would say. My father has given me an ultimatum: I must wed by the end of this year, or I shall be effectively disinherited and disowned as a member of House Tyrell.” Rhaenyra’s eyes widened, her stance immediately shifting to one of sympathy and guilt. “Does your father jest?” “I’m afraid not,” you remark with a despaired, cynical laugh, “Father’s patience has worn thin when it comes to me, I’m afraid. I should’ve known it foolish to think that I could escape from the ramifications of duty to my House.”
You were a little mortified to find your eyes prickling with tears. In truth, you were frightened to the bone. Two paths were set in stone before you now, and neither were pleasant. Rhaenyra hesitated for a while, before reaching out to take your hand, giving it a comforting squeeze. You were startled by her sudden gesture, as the flood of familiarity rushed through your veins. “I’m sorry,” she murmured, “This is a horrible situation to find yourself in.” She looked hesitant, “I know you’ve always been of your own mind, Y/N. I just want you to know…that you are not alone. Should the worst come…I’m sure that my father will not turn you away in your hour of need.” Her lips turned upwards wistfully, “I will not too. The both of us are stuck in similar predicaments, are we not? Daughters forced to marry off at our father’s behest. We must stick together.”
“...thank you,” you said quietly, touched, “I do not deserve your kindness, after all I have hidden from you.” Rhaenyra’s smile turns somewhat bitter, “What is done cannot be undone. What matters now is the future.”
The cool metal of Aemma’s pendant dug into the flesh of your palm, as an idea came to you. “I have something for you,” Rhaenyra’s eyebrows shot up and her eyes grew misty as you presented the ruby falcon pendant to her. “I think this belongs to you. I’ve been holding onto it for the past few years, but I think it’s time you have it back.” Rhaenyra takes the pendant, clasping it to her chest as she looked mournfully down at it. “I thought it was naught but ashes now.” You bit your lip, seeing how relieved yet pained Rhaenyra looked made you regret not giving it to her sooner. You had clung onto it for selfish reasons over the past few years, unwilling to let go of Aemma. But now, you felt it was time to let go of the past, and brave on into the future. “I hope that having this piece of Aemma would make you feel more comforted on your marriage tour.”
Rhaenyra’s eyes were misty, as she clasped the pendant like it was worth all the spice and gold from the shores of Essos. “Y/N.” Rhaenyra said quietly. “Hmm?” “Do you think…that Mother would’ve been proud of the person I am today?” Rhaenyra swallowed, looking downcast. “...I fear that, ever since I was named heir, since…Aegon was born, Father’s disappointment in me has been growing by the day.” “And why would you think that?” you asked, concerned. Rhaenyra took a shaky inhale, “I know that Father did not name me heir out of choice. It was a critical time, after Daemon had left, and the Realm would be plunged into unease upon the disinheritance of my uncle from the line of succession.” She bit her lip. “Father even told me as much. He said he had wavered at the notion of making me heir.” Your eyes flickered with shock and a little bit of righteous anger. “He said that?” Rhaenyra nodded miserably, and you patted her sympathetically on the shoulder. “He told me he would never waver again, but it is a little hard to put my faith in that, with….with Aegon’s shadow looming over me.” Rhaenyra sighed, tilting her head upwards. ”I just…I wish I could do something to be better. To prove to Father that I’m not just the right choice to the throne because he named me heir when he had no choice. I want to show him that I possess the qualities to rule the throne. The marriage tour would be a start, but I just detest the idea of having to bind myself to some lord to prove my worthiness to the throne.”
“I understand how you feel,” you commiserated, and she rested her head on your shoulder. “The expectations of a woman’s duty often cast a shadow over our lives.” Rhaenyra closed her eyes, feeling at ease with you, even if it were just for a brief moment. “Mother was fond of saying that marriage is a woman’s duty, and childbed is our battlefield. Especially as royal women,” Rhaenyra’s voice was thick with emotion. “I understand I must do this, for the good of the realm, but…why is it so terrifying? To have my worth determined on my husband and the number of children I can bear in service to him and the realm.” The setting sun glistened off a tear slowly making its way down Rhaenyra’s cheek. “Y/N, do you think my mother would be proud, watching me doubt her teachings?”
You reached out to wipe her tear away, your other hand’s thumb gently stroking her hand that you still held. “You are her daughter, Rhaenyra. I have no doubt that you could be the most dastardly miscreant, and she would be proud of you nonetheless.” That got a bleak smile from Rhaenyra, “Truly?” You nodded your confirmation, smiling fondly down at her. “Truly. Though luckily, your moral character is rather upright.” Rhaenyra laughed, and you smiled, happy to have made her laugh. “Thank you, Y/N. Truly. You have no idea how much that means to me.” Rhaenyra whispered to you.
The two women stayed like this in the Godswood for a while, each swarmed by their own thoughts. So different, yet so similar in their impending doom, and duty.

Just to Know You’re Alive
Jamie Tartt x Reader
You are tasked with writing an article about Jamie and you gain an understanding of him that nobody else ever has
Note: Hello! This is my first Ted Lasso fic. I’m so excited to share it with y’all!
When you were first assigned to write an article on Jamie Tartt, you weren’t exactly thrilled.
All you had heard about, and seen on the pitch, was that he was an egotistical man who would do anything to win.
But when you met him for the first time, all of your prior opinions on him changed.
It was after the devastating loss to Manchester City. You knew that it was the best chance you had to get the best content for your article. After all, it was the first game against his old team that had all but erased his career.
You made your way towards the press room, but were soon told that Jamie wouldn’t be a part of the interviews. Respecting his privacy, you accepted that you weren’t going to get that conversation that you needed.
But then there he was in the hallway as you were leaving. His cheeks were flushed and his eyes notably red. He’s been crying, there was no doubt in your mind about that.
“Are you alright?” You asked him, deciding that you didn’t want to miss a chance to ensure that he’s okay.
“Fine, yeah,” he mumbled. And then he turned and looked at you. His eyes found the press lanyard around your neck. “You’re a reporter?”
“Oh,” you said, taking your lanyard and off and placing it in your bag. “Right now I’m just a person who wants to make sure you’re okay.”
Jamie looked at you a little suspiciously but didn’t try to fight how you might feel.
“No one gets me,” he said. “Not even my family.”
“I see. Family can somehow be the best people and the worst people in your life,” you said.
Jamie nodded to that statement. He didn’t know why he was opening up to you, but he didn’t stop. You two sat on the floor against the wall.
He told you about the locker room incident. You told him that he was valid in his feelings. No one had ever said that to him before.
“I’m y/n, by the way,” you told him after the conversation had come to a halt.
“You already know me,” he said. “You do now, at least.” He looked almost shy as he said his next words. “Are you going to use this conversation against me?”
“Of course not,” you said. “But to be perfectly candid, I am supposed to write an article about you.”
Jamie chuckled a little, but it wasn’t one of pleasure. You think he was nervous, perhaps even worried that you were going to use it against him anyway and paint him as weak.
“Tomorrow,” he said randomly. “I’ll do your interview tomorrow. Meet me at The Crown & Anchor.”
“Oh, okay. Are you sure?” You asked him.
“Just be there,” a little bit of his coined impatience came through.
And with that he disappeared into the locker room. The next day you stood outside the pub as you waited for Jamie.
When he got there, he asked you to join him for a walk. You didn’t expect him to take you to his favorite places around the area.
But he spent the entire day talking you about pretty much everything except for the game.
“Thank you for today, Jamie,” you told him as you walked back to your car. “I do hope you’ll enjoy the article I write.”
“See ya,” Jamie said as he watched you drive away.
As you sit at your computer now reading over the article you wrote, you title it and publish it.
Jamie’s phone dings along with the rest of the teams’.
“The Jamie Tartt You Don’t See,” Ted reads the article title aloud. “Oh this should be like reading that your favorite book is being adapted into a movie!”
The team cheers and pokes a little fun at Jamie before they leave to start training.
Jamie sits at his locker and reads through the article. It reveals his vulnerabilities while also making him appear as strong as he is.
He realizes that from the beginning he wanted you to see him as he is, not as the rest of the world does.
Something in him longs for more conversations with you. And he desperately wants to see you again.

Characters: Mercy, D.Va Form: Mix Warning: none Synopsis: their favourite body part about you Word Count: 892 A/n: Requests are open again but don't expect to be answered any time soon, school's taking almost all of my free time so i have little to no time to write for pleasure. I hope y'all being doing great otherwise

Mercy - Chest
🕊️ Angela loves to place her head on your chest, just to be able to listen to your heartbeat. It means you're here, she's here and you're both alive. And that's something she knows she has to cherish before it's gone all too quickly. Sometimes, before leaving she'll place a hand on your chest, just above your sternum to give her support for a kiss.
🕊️ It's also watching you sound asleep, noticing your breathing pattern making your chest rise and fall. By now, she knows it by heart. Whether you take deep breaths or shallow ones, nothing escapes her trained eyes.
You just finished making coffee for your loved one, pouring it into a cup. You know she needs her caffeine to start the day in a good mood. You actually wonder if it's working as well as it used to because her intake increased throughout the years. You wouldn't be surprised if it did. There are some clicks on the ground and soon enough, Angela is entering the kitchen. She has her work outfit already on and you wonder if it's comfortable to wear.
"Heya Angel," you mutter. She places a soft kiss on your lips.
"Hello," she responds with sleepiness in her voice. You restrain yourself from chuckling, opting to hand her a cup of coffee.
"Here, to start the day." She sits down on a stool, taking it in her hands. She smells the aroma of the coffee and grins.
"Thank you Liebling." She takes a sip and she closes her eyes. "Just as I like it." She continues to enjoy her coffee while you watch her enjoy this simple cup. You've learned your way around making Angela's favourite coffee.
The beans, the right temperature to brew it, how to do it exactly, if any sweetener has been needed. It's been lots of trials and errors but you can confidently say you've learned how to perfectly make them for her. Before long, she has finished her cup and she's rinsing it. You accompany her to the door, kissing her forehead as to say goodbye.
She gently places her right hand right above your heart and she leans in to kiss you back on the cheek.
"Have a good day." She lingers a little bit more before breaking the kiss. She looks at you one last time, giving you a slight nod. Her hand leaves last.
"Thank you, have a great day as well."
D.Va - Arms
🐰 Hana loves it- LOVES it when you put your arms around her. She feels safe when she senses your warmth spreading to her body. Of course, please put your arms strategically or you'll be at the receiving end of Hana's shouts. It's better to do this when she's on the console rather than a PC because she has more freedom when she's with a controller. You almost have no opportunity to do this when she's on her PC (also no place to do so)
🐰 She bought a special couch to allow more space for the both of you to fit on one square of couch. Sometimes, when she's exhausted, she's going to doze off in your arms. You sense those days quite easily so you have blankets at the ready and at arm length.
🐰 When the day's been long and exhausting. When stress and anxiety seep in, please spoon her to sleep. She finds it easier when you have your arms around her but she has a hard time expressing it out loud.
"Oh come on, it's not that hard!" She watches you struggle to get to the next level while she sits in your lap, sipping from her drink. Your controller is on her lap as you wrapped your arms around her.
"Hey! It kinda is! You just have waaay more experience than me." You lose another life and you place a hand on your face to groan.
"Damn right I am! Lemme show you how it's done," she says playfully but you know she's serious. You hand her the controller and watch attentively her moves. And as she said, it's way more effective than what you were doing.
You know best than to bother her right now. She's well focused on her game. It's in the slight straightening of her spine, the little squint of her eyes, a controlled breathing pattern and of course, the sound of perfectly hit buttons at the right time. Still, you lightly increase the grasp of the hug and you see the concentration is broken for a little moment.
Her lips part away, enough to make it noticed by you but not enough to say something. Her stance relaxes once more and you feel she leans in your embrace. Once she defeats the boss you've been struggling to fight for the past hour, she hands you back the controller and it becomes chill again. The heavy atmosphere evaporates as it never existed to begin with. You continue the game but it's starting to get late and you're both quite tired.
One, more than the other. You hear her little snores and decide it's enough for today. You close the game and switches off the TV screen. You grab the two blankets behind the couch and place it on you two. You kiss the top of her head before closing your eyes as well.
"Goodnight Hana,"

“I’m headed to town, I’ll be back before dark.”
Feitan watched as (Name) pulled on her second shoe. She wore a pair of overalls over a tshirt, the outfit making Feitan frown.
She was still acting strange, even 2 days later. He’d thought her little mood change would end quickly, but her nervous fidgeting and refusal to eat around him stuck around.
She also wouldn’t wear anything that was slightly revealing, even when the heat was too much to bear. He would catch her pulling off her long sleeves as soon as she thought he wasn’t looking, sighing in relief.
For some reason, this pissed him off.
He didn’t reply to her, focusing on slowly moving his fingers. Over the past day, he’d started getting feeling back in his fingers, so he’d been trying to get them to move as much as possible.
“… bye Feitan.”
——————
(Name) unloaded her goods onto the shelves, making sure the labels were facing the street. A tired sigh left her lips, the girl pulling at her overalls with a huff.
Feitan’s insult had been a hit to her self esteem. She had heard that word a lot growing up, having to hide her body in some vain attempt to keep attention away from her.
After moving out and living alone, she’d grown much more comfortable with herself, wearing tank tops and shorts that barely covered her ass.
Maybe she’d been a bit too comfortable.
Feitan’s presence did make her a bit nervous, but she’d been able to keep her confidence up due to his disinterest in her appearance. He hadn’t seemed to care what she looked like, only ever insulting her intelligence or handiwork, but never saying anything about her physical appearance.
So she was shocked when he said what he did. (Name) didn’t know what to do or say, the memories of a lifetime of bullying and harassment surfacing in her mind.
Usually, the best thing to do was to diffuse the situation by agreeing then distancing yourself, so that’s what she did.
But it was hard to distance herself from someone she was taking care of.
(Name) hadn’t cared what he thought of her before. She didn’t mind if he didn’t find her pretty, not many people did, but the thought of him possibly finding her repulsive HURT.
Over the past 3 weeks she’d come to care for him, maybe not as a friend but as a fellow human being. He’d been hurt, both physically and mentally, and she wanted to try her best to help him.
Although she didn’t expect anything in return for her help, she had at least hoped he would be nicer to her after a while, but it seemed he wasn’t warming up to her. It was a bit depressing. (Name) had thought they could become friends…
She was stirred from her thoughts by the vibration of her cellphone. She reached into her pocket and pulled the device out, seeing Chrollo was calling her.
“Hello, (Name).”
He talked as soon as she’d answered. “Hi Chrollo! Not to be rude, but is there a reason you’re calling?”
“That’s not rude to ask at all. I am calling to inform you that my comrade will be arriving at your stand in…”
He paused for a moment, possibly looking down at his watch or phone screen.
“5 minutes. I tried to call you earlier, but the call wouldn’t go through. I assume it was because of the signal issue you told me about last time.”
“Yes, most likely. Thank you for telling me. Can you tell me your comrades name?”
“His name is uvogin. Don’t worry, you won’t miss him. He’s… large.”
(Name) raised an eyebrow at this. “Alright… thank you again. Is there anything else?”
“Mmm, no. Goodbye (Name). I wish you good luck.”
“Good luck? What do y-“
He hung up before she could finish her sentence.
—————
Chrollo hadn’t lied about him being huge.
(Name) watched as a beast of a man went from stall to stall, asking for her. She stepped out from behind the counter and waved. “Hi, I’m (Name).”
Uvogin stopped in his tracks, taking in her appearance.
She was short, but taller than Feitan. Her face was pretty, and appearance soft. He hummed as he gave her a once over, nodding approvingly. She was definitely someone he could see Feitan being interested in.
“Hey there, doll face. Name’s Uvogin.”
(Name) shrunk under his gaze, peeking at him shyly. “Nice to meet you, Uvogin. You’re a friend of Feitan, right? Come in!”
The man had to crouch to enter her booth, sitting on a chair in the corner. “I have to work for a bit longer, then we can go home. If you get bored you can explore the town, just meet back up with me a-“
“I’ll stay here.”
The girl only nodded, turning her attention to a customer.
Uvogin watched her work, taking in every small detail of her behavior. She was kind, always thanking each customer and smiling even after they left. (Name) rummaged around under her counter and pulled out a box.
“There’s some pastries in here if you’re hungry. The old lady that runs the booth across from me traded some for a few jars of jam. Just leave a few for Feitan, he has a huge sweet tooth.”
Uvogin opened the box, seeing rows of pastries of differing types. “You gonna eat any?”
She paused, looking from the box of pastries then back to the street. “No, I’m not hungry. Please, help yourself.”
He shrugged and complied, eating as many as he wanted.
An hour later and (Name) started packing up her basket, humming to herself as she lifted the leftover jars. Uvogin picked up her basket once she was done, not listening to her protests.
“Can’t let a pretty lady like you carry everything, can I?”
She couldn’t argue with that.
———————
(Name) walked through town with Uvogin, picking up a few things off her grocery list before they made their way to where she parked her bike.
“Oh. We can just walk home, I wouldn’t want to-“
Before she could finish her sentence, Uvogin lifted the girl up and threw her over her shoulder, then grabbed the bike with the hand he held the basket with.
“H-hey! Put me down!”
He chuckled, the sound vibrating through his chest. He smacked her leg gently to stop her from squirming.
“Quit wiggling, this way will be way faster. Trust me.”
Although (Name) didn’t like it, she complied. “… alright, but don’t drop me.”
“Wasn’t planning on it.”
(Name) had never gone so fast in her life. The man moved at a speed she didn’t think was humanly possible. If she didn’t close her eyes, she’d get motion sickness.
“U-Uvogin, you’re so fast! Are you like… a track star?”
He laughed again. “No, nothing like that. I do have a lot of experience running away, but never from a fight.”
(Name) gasped. “Oh, you must be very brave then! I dislike fighting myself.”
“Hmm, is that so? I woulda pegged you for a little brawler.” He teased. (Name) giggled at that.
“Oh, you’re funny. It’s strange, you’re nothing like I imagined you would be. Feitan’s so…”
“Unsociable?”
“Yeah!”
They reached her home way quicker than (Name) thought possible, the usually 45 minute bike ride cut down to a 10 minute run.
He dropped her off onto the ground gently, helping her stand. “Yeah, he’s always been like that. Don’t take it personally.”
He patted her butt affectionately, the girl jumping at the contact.
Feitan kicked open the front door, staring at the two.
“… Uvogin.” He said in a greeting.
The man grinned down at him, his hand still on her butt. “Now who got you looking all fucked up?”
Feitan scowled, leaning against the doorway. His eyes drifted from Uvogin’s face to his arm.
Uvogin caught him staring at his hand on her butt and got a mischievous look in his eye.
“You got yourself a cute little nurse taking care of you here, don’t you?”
He pulled the girl closer to him, (Name) stiffening.
Feitan didn’t say anything, instead walking back inside with a huff. Uvogin held back a laugh, letting the girl go and entering her house.
“Um… welcome to my home…”
She followed the two in, wondering if inviting him into her home was the right choice.
“So… Uvogin, what do you want for dinner?”
(Name) sat between the two on the couch. Uvogin took up a majority of it, forcing (Name) to lean her leg against Feitan. For once, he didn’t seem to mind her physical contact.
“How about some roasted chicken?”
“Sure! Any specific sides you want?”
“Whatever you think is best, sweetheart.”
Feitan shot the man a look, (Name) getting up to prepare dinner.
“Feitan, is there anything you’d like?”
“… rice.”
(Name) leaned over the back of the couch, peeking at him. Her face was dangerously close to his.
“What was that Feitan?”
He turned his face away quickly. “Said rice. You deaf?”
She rolled her eyes and walked over to the kitchen.
“Man, Fei, what’s got you all worked up?”
Not many people would be able to notice his stiff posture being a sign he was uncomfortable, but Uvogin did. The shorter man sighed.
“Nothing. What boss sent you for?”
Uvogin grinned, leaning against the couch. “Boss was worried about you.”
Feitan’s eyes were on (Name)’s figure again. “I see. Anything else?”
Uvogin pulled out a cell phone and tossed it to Feitan. The man blinked at Uvogin, the cell phone falling into his lap. “Ah, forgot you can’t move your arms. Boss asked me to give you this. It’s a cellphone that can get signal anywhere, he had Shalnark work on it for you.”
He picked the phone back up and turned it on, showing feitan the screen. It only had the options to call, take pictures, and text.
“It’s simple, but it’ll get the job done.”
Uvogin sniffed the air and raised an eyebrow in Feitan’s direction. “Why do you smell like a chick?”
Feitan groaned. “Shut up.”
——————
“Uvogin, could I ask you for a favor?”
(Name) stood behind the couch, wearing a frilly pink apron over her overalls.
“Sure, you’ve been taking care of this piece of work for a few weeks now, what can I do for you, sugar?”
Feitan shot him a glare, glancing between him and (Name). He wasn’t sure why, but the way Uvogin acted so flirtatiously with her was getting on his nerves.
“I have my hands full in the kitchen, could you go gather some eggs from the chicken coop?”
“Yeah, no problem.”
The large man stood, towering over (Name). “I’ll be right back.”
(Name) waved as he left out the door, calling out a sweet thanks before returning to the kitchen. “Hey, Feitan?”
The man didn’t reply, but turned to look at her.
“Since you’re able to move your fingers, do you want to flatten out this pie crust? It might help loosen them up!”
She set the pie crust on the table, smiling at him. Feitan stood up and approached the table, plopping into the chair. (Name) helped to lift his arms, placing his hands in the pan.
She stood behind him and held his hands, showing him how to press down correctly. “Here, like this.”
The feeling of her chest pressed against his back as she helped him only caused Feitan to stiffen. He struggled to concentrate when she was so close that he was able to smell her perfume.
“Oh, you’re getting it! Okay I have to work on dinner, just keep at it and tell me when you’re done.”
She leaned back and walked away, checking on the chicken before pulling out a cutting board.
Feitan tried to steady his breathing. She was always so warm, every time she touched him it was difficult to think.
He watched her from the corner of his eye as he pressed the pie crust down with his fingers. There was a strange warm feeling bubbling in his stomach.
BAWK BAWK!!
(Name) lifted her head at the sound of her chickens panicked calls. She raised an eyebrow in Feitan’s direction before stepping into her flip flops and sprinting out the door. Feitan was quick to follow after her, the man having a hunch to what was happening.
“Uvogin WHAT THE HELL!?”
(Name) threw open the coop to see the remains of two of her roosters lying on the ground, Uvogin having another one in his mouth.
The man looked up nonchalantly, blood dribbling down his chin. “Hey, your chickens attacked me, so technically this is self defense.”
(Name) wasn’t hearing any of this. The girl had taken off her flip flop, smacking him on the back repeatedly. “DROP IT!”
The man did little to protect himself, not even feeling the impact of her blows. He simply caught her wrist.
“Why, it’s already dead. Does it matter?”
He was right, the first thing he did was break the roosters neck, but (Name) used her other hand to tear the chicken from his grasp.
“I know that, but if you eat raw chicken you’ll get sick! At least wait until dinner!”
The girl wrenched her hand free and stormed off, brushing past Feitan. The shorter man blinked, looking between her and Uvogin.
Feitan didn’t often see THAT look on Uvogin’s face, but it never meant anything good.
“Oh ho ho, I like her. She’s feisty.”
He brushed the blood from his mouth, kicking the chickens corpse out of his way. Feitan didn’t like the way Uvogin’s eyes followed (Name)’s hips.
“Uvogin.”
Feitan gripped the man’s arm, his eyes narrowed. “Control yourself.”
Uvogin glanced at Feitan’s hand before brushing it away. “Why? Not like you own her.”
Feitan didn’t answer. Uvogin wasn’t wrong, she wasn’t his, and he didn’t even want her. So why did the thought of Uvogin wanting her in a not-so-friendly way make him seethe?
Feitan knew he found her somewhat attractive, but that’s where his connection to her ended. She meant nothing to him other than being a means to an end.
The black haired man turned on his heels, walking back inside behind (Name).
——————
Feitan couldn’t help but feel annoyed with the current situation.
(Name) sat a plate in front of Uvogin, giving him a smile. “Here you are! I hope the food is to your liking.”
She smiled a bit too sweetly in the man’s direction for Feitan’s liking.
Again, (Name) sat down next to Feitan without a plate of her own, feeding him as Uvogin watched. It was a little embarrassing for Uvogin to see him like this, only worsening his mood.
“There, all done. Would you like some dessert-“
“No.”
(Name) tilted her head. “Are you sure, you always w-“
“I said no.”
(Name) stopped, suddenly standing up and pushing her chair in. “Goodnight Uvogin, I hope the pull out couch will suffice.”
Uvogin nodded through a mouthful of food. “Yeah, should be alright.”
The girl began to walk away.
“(Name)?”
She turned back to look at Uvogin. “Yes?”
“You gonna eat?”
She paused, looking between him and Feitan before pulling at the fabric of her shirt. “Maybe later.”
Then she was gone, shutting her bedroom door behind her. Uvogin glanced at Feitan between bites of food. “What’s up with her?”
The shorter man shrugged, huffing. “Been like that for a few days. Maybe started period.”
Uvogin shook her head. “Doesn’t smell like blood. Would’ve thought you’d known that, Fei.”
“Was joking.”
The muscular man let out a laugh. “I see.”
The two sat in silence for a moment, the only sound being Uvogin’s chewing.
“She acts strange lately. Unnerving.”
Feitan broke the silence with his statement, leaning back against his chair. Uvogin raised an eyebrow. Feitan wasn’t usually the type to care about how others acted if it didn’t affect him, so obviously it was affecting him somewhat.
“Did something happen to make her… upset?”
Neither of the two men were that informed on women, with Uvogin having a bit more knowledge that Feitan.
“Don’t know. Just started acting like that one day.”
“Think back to that day. Did anything happen that was unusual?”
Feitan tried to think back to it, remembering her in her bathing suit and being slapped by a fish.
“She got slapped by fish?”
Uvogin chuckled. “That’s not exactly fun, but she doesn’t seem the type to be mad over that. By the way she’s been acting, maybe you said something to upset her?”
Feitan kept thinking. “Called her idiot, but never got upset with that before.”
He hummed in thought, and then it hit him.
“Called her… something different.”
Uvogin put his elbows on the table, leaning into his hands. “And what exactly did you call her?”
Feitan thought back to all the signs he should have noticed. Wearing less revealing clothes, not eating in front of him, struggling to keep up her happy face in his presence…
“Fatty.”
Uvogin physically recoiled, giving his friend a ‘holy shit’ look before hissing out a low yikes.
“That’s possibly the worst thing you could call a woman. You’ve really outdone yourself, Fei.”
Feitan groaned. “So what? Called her fat, not like it’s untrue.”
Uvogin sighed. “Buddy, it doesn’t matter. Have you commented on her appearance before that?”
“… no? Why matter?”
Uvogin clicked his tongue. “It matters because she probably didn’t think you cared what she looked like, and after you called her that it solidified in her mind that you see her as fat. Probably made her think that’s all you see her as.”
Feitan scrunched his eyebrows together. “But I don’t?”
“Yeah but she can’t read your mind, Fei. Why don’t you try talking to her about it?”
Feitan made an uncomfortable sound, tapping on the table nervously. He didn’t want her to know that he cared about her, even if slightly. “Don’t want to. She’ll get over it.”
With that, Feitan stood and walked to his room. “Gonna sleep. Goodnight.”
Uvogin watched the man leave, a frown on his lips.
He wasn’t an idiot, Uvogin could tell Feitan had at least some kind of affection for the girl. And from his brief time spent with (Name), he could tell this was really affecting her.
‘Guess I’ll have to be a villain in this story. You’ll thank me for it later, Fei.’
——————
“How long will you be staying?” (Name) asked as she placed a stack of pancakes in front of the large man. Uvogin stabbed the top pancake and shoved it into his mouth, chewing for a moment before answering.
“About two days. My ride will be here either Wednesday or Thursday. Depends on how fast he finishes his job.”
Feitan hummed. “Nobunaga?”
Uvogin nodded in response.
“Figured.”
After breakfast, Uvogin and Feitan followed (Name) outside. She had requested the two help with her work, neither able to complain. After all, she was feeding and housing them, did they have the right to?
“Feitan, how are your arms feeling?”
He replied by making his hands into fists, only grimacing slightly. “Can move hands now.”
(Name) gasped, patting his back. “Oh wow, that was quick! You can pick up fruit and drop them into this basket! That way, you don’t need to lift your arms!”
She demonstrated by squatting down and picking up a fallen apple and dropping it into the basket.
He only grumbled at her touch, moving away. Feitan didn’t want to admit to her that he had gained movement in his hand because he had gotten angry Uvogin was leering at her, so he remained silent.
(Name) ignored his attitude, moving onto Uvogin.
“You task is catching some fish for dinner. There’s a fishing pole I-“
“I won’t be needing a pole, sweetheart.”
(Name) followed Uvogin to the river, Feitan only able to watch as he picked up apples. “I’ll be back and forth. I like to use the river water when watering my garden.”
In her hands was a large, elephant shaped watering can. It was cute, something Feitan could picture her using.
She seemed to like the softer things in life, like stuffed animals, magical girl anime, and romance novels. These were all things he’d noticed during his observations.
During the few times he’d entered her room while she was sleeping(to wake her up of course, definitely not to watch her sleep), he’d seen at least a dozen plushies littering her bed, and anime posters taped to her walls.
Her interests were endearing, and he hated how cute he found it. He hated that he LIKED when she’d ramble out her newest interest as she washed his hair.
(Name) was carrying the now full watering can with both hands, the weight of it causing her to groan. Before Feitan could (grumpily) offer his help, Uvogin appeared next to her and grabbed it from her hands.
“I got this, beautiful. Why don’t you rest your pretty little head?”
(Name) blushed at the compliment, quickly hurrying inside. Feitan gave Uvogin a dirty look, his hands gripping the fabric of his pants.
She never shied away with a blush like that with him. What was it about Uvogin that made her react that way? Did she find him handsome, more handsome than HIM? Was it that he was taller, more muscular?
Feitan shook those thoughts from his head.
‘Don’t care. Don’t care what she thinks at all. Just a stupid girl.’
Uvogin wasn’t used to being able to see Feitan’s entire face. Now, he could see every subtle emotion cross over his friends face. Jealousy, self consciousness, embarrassment. Most people wouldn’t be able to pick up on this, but Uvogin knew Feitan better than most.
That meant his plan was working.
The large man had decided that if he wouldn’t admit to his feelings or talk with (Name), he’s flirt with her until Feitan had no choice but to act. After all, they were thieves, and were very possessive of what they viewed as THEIRS.
————————
Around lunch time, (Name) exited the house carrying a tray of sandwiches and drinks. “Hey boys, I made lunch!”
She settled the tray onto the table on her porch, waiting for the two to arrive. Feitan was the first one to walk up, plopping down onto the cushioned chair with a huff.
“Lemonade?”
(Name) nodded, setting his food and drink in front of him. “Yep! Made just how you like it?”
Oh. She’d made it with his taste in mind. Feitan sipped on his lemonade as Uvogin plopped down next to him.
“This is delicious. You know, you’d make a good wife (Name).”
(Name) waved her hand dismissively as her cheeks heated up. “Oh no, I don’t think I’m fit to be a wife. Men have never really been interested in me.”
Uvogin raised an eyebrow as his eyes dragged down her figure and back up to her pretty face. “I don’t see why, you’re easy on the eyes.”
Feitan could tell (Name) wasn’t used to this type of attention by the way she quickly covered her face and ran away. It was confusing to him too, had no one ever told her that she was attractive before? Was it not glaringly obvious?
“Ain’t she just a cutie? I might just have to snatch her up when I leave.”
Feitan sends him a dirty look, gritting his teeth. “No. Need her assistance.”
Uvogin hums. “Ah I see. I won’t take her then.”
Feitan visibly relaxed when he stated this, but Uvogin leaned forward, meeting Feitan’s eyes as a wicked grin spread across his face.
“You wouldn’t mind me just fucking her then, right?”
——————
(Name) jumped at the sound of something crashing on her porch. She left the jars she’d been cleaning in the sink as she raced out the door to see what the commotion was.
Feitan stood over Uvogin, his umbrella pressed against the man’s throat.
“You push your luck,” feitan said through gritted teeth, his eyes narrowed and angry.
Uvogin didn’t seem fazed at all, he even looked… excited.
“If I knew all it would take is a little teasing to get you so riled up, I would’ve done so long ago.”
The man easily pushed the umbrella away and jumped into a standing position. He leaned down to whisper something in Feitan’s ear (Name) couldn’t hear, but the shorter man’s enraged expression relaxed slightly, his uneven breathing slowing down.
He grunted in response, shrugging the man off and walking past (Name). Feitan began walking alongside the river, kicking rocks as he disappeared from view.
(Name) turned to Uvogin, perplexed on how Feitan was able to take down such a large man so easily. “… what happened?”
Uvogin shrugged, leaning against the porch railing as he continued eating his 3rd sandwich.
“Just some teasing. Fei’s a bit on the dense side, so I’m just helping him out.”
(Name) didn’t understand how teasing would help him figure out anything, but didn’t question it. It wasn’t her business, but a part of her worried for Feitan. He’d been in an even worse mood than usual.
“Well… go easy on him. He’s…” she stopped before she could call feitan her friend.
“He’s sensitive.”
Uvogin noticed this. It wasn’t often that people stuck up for his unsocial friend, the last time he could remember being in childhood.
(Name) grabbed a sandwich and took a big bite before stepping off the porch and running down the riverside.
Uvogin watched, smirking to himself.
‘Boss will be happy to know Feitan is in good hands after all. She might just be the one.’
He looked down to her half eaten sandwich.
“Can’t let this go to waste.”
——————
(Name) jogged along the rocky terrain until she could see Feitan’s silhouette sitting with his feet in the cold water.
Feitan spared her a glance before continuing to stare into the water, his hands gripping the fabric of his shirt.
“Hey. You doing alright?”
(Name) plopped down beside him and pulled her knees to her chest, joining him in staring at the flowing river.
“… yes.”
(Name) thought about the what to do next for a moment, weighing her options. She took a deep breath and leaned her head against his shoulder, her hair ticking his cheek.
“You’re a bad liar.”
The man didn’t know how to react, his shoulders stiffening to the point she could feel the tension. He didn’t yell or shy away from her touch, staying silent next to her.
(Name) stayed like that for a few more seconds before pulling away and standing up, offering him her hand.
“Come on. I’m gonna show you something cool.”
He looked from her face to her hand, before hesitantly taking it.
———————
(Name) led him by the hand further down the river. Although he wasn’t the biggest fan of physical contact, his hand in hers didn’t bother him, much to his chagrin.
The pads of her fingers rubbed against the back of his hand gently, causing him to tighten his grip. The feeling of her soft, unscarred palm against his calloused one was a nice contrast.
He let himself enjoy the feeling of comfort, silently following her like a loyal dog.
“Just a little further. I think you’ll really like it!”
Their journey continued for a few more minutes before (Name) let go of his hand, jogging toward a forest tree line. Feitan looked down at his hand, the warmth (Name) had provided slowly fading away. He rushed toward suddenly, grabbing her hand again before his mind could stop him.
(Name) continued jogging, only looking back for a second to give him a confused smile.
The two entered the forest, (Name) leading him between trees and over a small stream before she finally stopped.
“Here we are.”
Feitan stepped forward, not daring to let go of her hand as he took in the sight before him.
Wisteria trees created a circle, the center holding a small shack. It had a tinfoil roof and solid wooden walls.
“This is my hideout! I come here when my family visits and I need a break.”
She let go of his hand after giving it a gentle squeeze, opening the door to the shack. “Come on in!”
There was enough room for the two to stand inside comfortably, a few pillows on the ground serving as cushioning. There we a bookshelf full of manga and fantasy novels, the girl pulling a few off the shelf and stuffing them into her bag.
“My parents send me manga and books every month. They have a friend that works at a library so whenever they retire old books they’re sent my way. Is there any that interest you?”
Feitan crouched down next to her, perusing the collection of manga. It wasn’t much, only having a few different series, but Feitan spotted something he’d read before.
It was a dark sci-fi, a manga Chrollo had gifted him after they’d raided an abandoned library.
“This manga doesn’t have a lot of dialogue. I think you’ll like it, Feitan.”
Feitan pulled the first two volumes out of their place, flipping through the pages before nodding. “This one.”
(Name) grinned, stuffing them into her bag. “Alright, anything else?”
He picked a random romance manga, feeling drawn to it for some reason. After filling her bag, the girl sat on the cushion and pushed her hair out of her face.
“So, how are you feeling?”
“Why you ask?”
(Name) poked her lip out in a pout. “Hey, at least answer my question before asking one of your own.”
A ghost of a smile graced his lips. “I’m… okay. Tired.”
She nodded, lying on her back. “Yeah. Uvogin said he was teasing you earlier.”
Feitan scowled. What all did that oaf tell her?
“Really? That all? Didn’t try anything else?”
“No, just ate your sandwich.”
He grumbled at that, crossing his legs. “Always does that.”
(Name) giggled. “You two must be good friends. He seems to care about you a lot.”
Feitan glanced at her, pulling the hood of his jacket over his head. “Yeah. Could say that.”
(Name) didn’t ask anymore questions, instead deciding to chat about his recovery and show him her favorite manga. He didn’t reply much, but he was way less hostile.
An hour passed, the two now quiet. (Name) suddenly stretched, standing up and offering her hand once again.
“Let’s head back, I need to get started on dinner or Uvogin will eat my chickens again.”
Feitan snickered, allowing her to pull him to his feet. His hand remained in hers the entire way back, the man only letting go when the house was in sight.
—————
“Oh wow!”
(Name) peered over the edge of the bucket, several fish staring right back out her. “How many did you catch?”
“13. Already ate some though, so there’s 9 left.”
(Name) didn’t question him on how he ate the fish, instead getting to work descaling and deboning them.
Feitan watched in mild surprise as she worked. He hadn’t expected a soft girl like her to be able to kill an animal and skin it without so much as a squeal.
“Wow pretty lady, you’re good with your hands. How many times have you done this?”
Uvogin sat at the counter, Feitan next to him. They had been watching her work quietly, following every movement she made with curious eyes.
“Oh, I’m the oldest child of a family of six. For a while my family didn’t have much money, so we relied on fishing and hunting to feed ourselves. My momma had her work cut out for her raising my youngest sister, so I ended being the one to clean up any game my dad would bring home.”
She placed the cleaned and battered fillets into a skillet, the sound of them frying echoing through the kitchen. “Although, they’re not my real family, I still love them a lot.”
“Real family? So you’re not their kid?” Uvogin asked, curious. (Name) nodded.
“Yeah, I was adopted when I was four years old. My mom and dad used to participate in an organization called “Bakers for the Broken”. They’d bake bread and pastries and hand them out the homeless kids where I came from. I think the place was called…”
She dropped another fillet into the skillet, humming in thought.
“Oh! It was called Meteor City. Apparently that’s where I was born.”
The two made eye contact, their expressions softening ever so slightly.
“Meteor City, huh? You remember anything about it?”
(Name) paused, her hand instinctively moving towards the left side of her lower back.
“No, not really. Mom and Dad found me wandering around, wearing nothing but an oversized tshirt and shorts. I kept saying that ‘they’re coming for me’. I can’t remember who they are or what they did to me, but apparently it was too awful to tell me, even as an adult.”
She lifted up the back of her shirt, showing a small scar. It was a simple star, with an eye in the middle.
“Apparently they were human traffickers. They cut this into my skin to brand me as their merchandise.”
Feitan’s eyes bore into the mark, his grip on the table tightening. Uvogin wasn’t doing much better.
The memories of their deceased childhood friend flooded their mind. Would (Name) have suffered a similar fate if she hadn’t been saved by her parents?
“I’m getting the mark removed this winter. It’s for the best, considering they could still be looking for me.”
(Name) pulled her shirt back down, taking the finished fish fillets out of the pan and onto a piece of paper towel.
“Sorry, that was a lot to dump on you two. Sometimes when I start talking I just can’t stop.”
She turned to the two, her eyes widening.
They were angry, but she could tell it wasn’t at her. Feitan stood up and approached her, grabbing her wrist. “No. Don’t say sorry. Didn’t deserve that.”
She slipped her hand into his, smiling down at him. “Thanks. I don’t know if I have the right to be upset, since I can’t remember it. There’s a lot of people out there that aren’t so lucky.”
Feitan looked away, squeezing her hand before letting go.
There seemed to be an unsaid agreement between the two. This girl wasn’t their enemy, and although Feitan would continue to be guarded, just knowing she was raised in meteor city created an almost kinship with her in his and Uvogin’s heart.
She may not remember the city, but it would always live on within her. The residents of the dumping city never truly left, their nonexistent birth certificates being the only evidence they’d ever been abandoned there.
Feitan wondered how she’d react to knowing him, Chrollo, and Uvogin hailed from the same city. Uvogin didn’t mention it, so decided to keep quiet on the information as well.
Dinner was more peaceful than usual, Feitan gladly taking dessert this time. (Name) and Uvogin chatted as she fed him his dessert, the air relaxed.
(Name) actually ate with the two this time, laughing at Uvogin’s jokes and poking Feitan’s cheek when he groaned at her puns. He only narrowed his eyes and frowned, when before he would have lashed out with his teeth or words.
She was the first to head to bed, her eyes sleepy. Feitan watched her leave, knowing that Uvogin would want to speak alone.
“So she’s from Meteor City. Ain’t that crazy?”
The large man tossed another pastry into his mouth, his eyebrows drawn together in thought.
“Isn’t unusual for kids to be taken. Must of wandered from residential area.” Feitan stated, staring at her closed door. There was still some residual anger that bubbled in his stomach. What had happened to her, and who had left that mark on her soft skin?
“I got a picture of the mark. When I get into town I’ll send it to the boss. He’ll want to make sure the organization isn’t still active and hunting in that old dump.”
Feitan nodded. He couldn’t stop thinking about her sad expression. Was she telling the complete truth when she said she didn’t remember anything? He wouldn’t press on that, Feitan knew better than most that some memories were better left buried in the dirt.
“He might want to meet her. Pakunoda could be able to see into her memories and get more details about the people that took her.” Uvogin cleared his throat.
“Maybe. This girl more useful than first thought.”
Uvogin shook his head. “Oh stop beating around the bush. You’re interested in that girl aren’t you?”
Feitan paused, his expression unreadable. “Interested? In what way?”
Uvogin groaned, his chair squeaking loudly as he leaned back. “You like her. It’s so obvious that it’s annoying. Every time I flirt with her you look at me like you’ll actually kill me.”
Feitan scoffed, rolling his eyes. “Don’t feel that way.”
The larger man rolled his eyes, pushing back his long hair. “Whatever you say, man. Just try to be nicer to her, huh? Seems like she wants to be your friend.”
The black haired man looked up at that, his eyes widening ever so slightly. “Friends? Why?”
Uvogin shrugged. “Dunno, if we hadn’t been friends for years I wouldn’t be able to stand your cranky ass.”
Feitan glanced back at her door, his heart beating faster. He hadn’t made a new friend in years. Sure he met new spiders and wasn’t hostile towards them, but he wouldn’t call them friends.
“I’m leaving early tomorrow. My job here is done.”
Feitan raised an eyebrow at this. “Your job?”
Uvogin pressed a finger to his lips. “That’s a secret, Fei. I’m going to bed.”
Feitan rolled his eyes and left, closing his bedroom door behind him. As he slipped under his covers, he wondered if (Name) would really ever consider him a friend…
Or maybe even something more.

Deja ya de llorar
Shoto x GN! Reader
You've had a very bad day, and you're very tired, and you have a very cute husband.
little angst/very comfort, mostly fluff ^*^
Tumblr media
The front door swung open harshly before it was more gently clicked into place. The decoration hung on the outside knocking back in protest.
You violently kicked your shoes off, not bothering to put them neatly back in their place in the shoe cubby that rested against the wall. Trying to get on with the settling down process, you went through the motions of hanging up your jacket, not noticing that you missed your mark and instead, it fell miserably to the floor.
"I'm hooome." You sighed, barely loud enough to be heard from the front door to the kitchen. You then limply tripped over the side, flopping down hard on the couch, squishing your face on the plush cushions.
There was silence in the house, no sounds of music or the TV playing. Most notably, no sound of your husband. Usually, he was out in the dining room doing papers or just otherwise bumbling around the house. Sometimes he'd meal prep or work out or even just be doing some D.I.Y project. But today, there seemed to be an absence of him. Which, wasn't a big deal, both of you were heroes, having met each other in class 1-A. Ever since you two had just been inseparable, clung together like magnets. Still, he made no mention that he would be working late.
You sighed and flipped over to your back, and took your phone out of your pocket. Lazily, you dialed his work phone and waited for him to pick up.
"This is Icy-Hot. I'm not available right now, reach either my assistant, partner, or me at a later time. I apologize for the inconvenience." The familiar one-toned voice you had gotten used to bleated back to you, and the phone beeped to leave a message. You made a confused noise before moving over to his personal phone number, the one that not many people had.
Just as the call was going to send you to voice mail, he picked up. "Hello? Is everything alright?" Shoto's voice called out to you, concern lacing his voice.
"No," You sighed, exhaustion taking over you slowly, unable for you to fight it much longer, "You weren't home and I was just making sure you were alive."
He chuckled, "Well I am don't worry. I'm on my way home soon, just another big battle in Tokyo, and you know how traffic can be." He sounded happy and content, and jealousy filled you at his ease.
"I hope it went well, and I'm glad you're safe. I love you, get home soon."
"It did, I'll tell you more at home. I love you, I'll see you soon."
The call disconnected, leaving the house in silence again. Suddenly, without even prompt or major reason, tilled filled your eyes and you were left breathless.
You were so tired, your body and mind so worn down that everything was moving too fast for you to keep up. Your eyes stung all the time, and your joints ached, body screaming in protest for running on fumes for so long.
You also had so many hard cases this month, a tsunami had hit the east, and because of the shortest of pros, you had been sent down there to mitigate the damage. The things you saw only added to the pile of horrors that kept you up at night. Lost little girls, old men torn apart, and young men crying in the middle of the street would haunt you for years to come. The paperwork and reconstruction that took weeks to finish, on top of commission work and public work, you were left beaten and bruised.
You cried yourself to sleep on the couch, too tired to change out of your civilian clothes or even move yourself to a comfortable position to find even a restful sleep.
___________________________________________
When you woke up, crusty, thirsty, and hungry, you found yourself in your shared room. Pictures of you and Shoto decorated the space, along with your different families and friends. Books, papers, and other small trinkets littered the room. When you came home after being away from a work trip, it always made your heart warm and fuzzy at your cozy living space, knowing you shared it with the person you loved the most.
You heard soft music from the downstairs, and slowly you drifted out of your bedroom. (You were also pleasantly surprised to find yourself in soft pjs.) Peeking out, a smiled crawled on your face at the sight you were blessed with.
Shoto, still in his hero outfit, was swaying softly to a soft song that you recognized, Hijo del corazón. While doing so he was making your favorite comfort meal. Both of you always had each other's comfort meals prepped and ready to go in case the others needed it.
"Have I ever told you how much I love you?" You said sleepily, hooded bagged eyes looking at him with ease.
Shoto turned to you, jumping a little in surprise before he completely melted under your gaze.
"Yeah, you tell me every day you love me, plus, I get a daily reminder you do every time I wash my hands." He tapped to the ring on his finger, the pale moon gem that was the centerpiece. The weight of your sun ring reminded you of both your vows, in sickness and in health.
"True, but I super love you." You walked closer to him, nuzzling against him while he kept busy.
"I love you, hard day?" He asked, and even though his eyes were on the food, you knew you had his full undivided attention.
"Hard month more like it. I'm just glad we're almost done though." You sighed, dragging your feet to grab a glass of water. Your heart filled with warmth when you saw your respective bachelor party cups.
"I'm glad, I miss you at home." Shoto said almost pouting.
"Just a little bit more recon, and a smidge more paperwork and I'm back to a normal work schedule. What about you though?" You asked, eyeing him up and down with a raised eyebrow.
"What do you mean?" He turned to you, looking at you with his own raised eyebrows while he carried the food to the table.
"You're still in your hero suit, you didn't change back at the agency." You said that the answer was the simplest thing in the work. In truth, it kinda was.
"Oh," He looked down at himself, embracement suddenly flooding his cheeks. "I was just in such a rush to get home, I guess I didn't change." He started to eat with you.
"Why the rush? I'll always make it home." Or try to, at least.
"I missed you, plus, I have a surprise." Shoto suddenly got up, walking over to the kitchen to grab a fancy-looking velvet box.
"Sho' I don't mean to break your heart, but we've already gotten married." You laughed quietly at your own joke, turning in your spot to follow him.
"No not that. I know you don't really like jewelry, but I saw it and I just had to give it to you." He had you the box gently, placing it in your awaiting hands.
You looked at him before tenderly peeling open the box, and a gasp escaped your lips when you saw what was inside.
It was a beautiful golden heart-shaped locket. The design it had was stunning, on the front was an open sort of caged design, and you could see the inside of the locket through it. Around the mini heart-shaped window was a winged sort of design with small bridges on the side. On the back were two interlocked hearts surrounded by leaves and little tiny snowflakes.
When you peeled it open, it was your guy's wedding pictures. But it wasn't one where either of you were fake smiling. Instead, it was you ugly laughing with your eyes closed and leaning toward Shoto. While he had the widest grin ever looking at you so tenderly it made tears spring to your eyes.
"Oh Sho', it's beautiful. Thank you so much, I love it." You stood up to bring him into a tight hug. He hugged you twice as hard, resting his head on your shoulder.
"Of course, I hoped you'd like it." He whispered.
"I love it, thank you so much for being here for me." You sighed into his arms, the warm embrace he protected you into would always bring you inner peace.
God you loved this man, and you knew he loved you ten times as much.
