It was your face but it was distorting in front of your very eyes. The eyes were glossy almost doll-like, they didn’t blink but their unwavering glances at you. Was it fear that stopped you from moving? Or was it the hope of Gabriel that might save you from it?

Their mouth opened as bones cracked and popped, trying to walk towards you. Reminding you of a marionette with each step they took. They fell on their knees, placing their cold hands on each side of your head. The shaking in your body was strong as their words escaped their cracked and dry lips and said,”He’s the cause of all your misfortune. Didn’t you notice?”

Misfortunes? You thought, what misfortunes? You simply weren’t lucky or were you thought. The Gabriel that you knew was a childhood friend who was always sweet and kind to you. Their voice became increasingly annoying, repeating things over and over, starting a new sentence. Not believing a single word from their mouth. It couldn’t be true, Gabriel is Gabriel and nothing could change it.

After they reminded you of a forgotten memory. The stinging tears slid down your shocked face, the heavy pulling on your mouth as screams tried to escape your lips. Gabriel had stolen the place of your original friend. Unrighteously inserted him—itself in their place. The truth from your doppelgänger, made you feel like a fish out of water; flopping on the concrete to try and find the nonexistent ocean. The tightening cold fingers of it wrapped around your neck to ease your suffering. Since there can’t be two versions of you coexisting together. Your vision was slowly dimming as your hands tried and tried to claw out the grip around your neck.

The tightening grip on your neck was suddenly rushed off, you could hear objects shattering from down the hallway. Alongside the distorted screams of something that meshed together with the shattering objects.

Using the wall to try and help you with walking, over the multiple shattered frames of you and him. You saw the single shadow of him standing above the remains of it, the crunch of the glass made him turn around. He wore normal clothes to try and blend in, having a worried expression on his face. He walked towards you, saying no words but you tried to turn around and run.

Running throughout the house where you shared soft memories were crumbling underneath you. You could reach the door to leave but you had tripped over something, he caught up and was somehow able to hug you from behind, pulling you away from the door. You tried to escape from his grip but you couldn’t, you needed to leave. To gather what remained of your thoughts and to leave him since he stole someone from you and what will he steal next.

He finally let go. You and him had been sitting on the floor for a while after he let go. Separated and distance. The house that you lived with him was shattered and replaceable but the echo of you crying throughout the broken home was the only sound.

Gabriel watched you cry your heart out, not knowing how to soothe you since how could he soothe your shattered reality.

Gabriel would be enamored by (Y/n). Any human he met, he felt nothing but hatred and disdain towards them. But with her, it was completely different. She was compassionate, selfless, and completely genuine. Meeting humans like her was rare, since most longed for fame or wealth, but she only treasured companionship, there was nothing more valuable to her than that.

Gabriel would do his best to show that he returned her feelings tenfold. From reminding her how much he loved her, to scooping her under his wing so he could hold her close, he’ll do anything to get close to his darling.

Gabriel would melt if his darling played with his hair. He will (beg) ask his darling to do more stuff with his hair, like washing it or braiding it, possibly even brushing it out. He would become very frustrated if something interrupted his darling brushing his hair, and would quickly get rid of the disturbance before insisting she continue.

If Gabriel found out his darling was scared of something, whatever it was would disappear soon afterwards. He didn’t want his darling to be afraid of anything (but him).

Gabriel would treat his darling as if she were made of glass, worried that he would hurt her if he wasn’t careful. Now, if she were to ever become pregnant? He would become extremely protective, forbidding any alternates from approaching her and viciously murdering any that disobeyed him. His darling would ultimately be giving birth to the antichrist, so he would be very watchful of her and his unborn child.

All in all, Gabriel would act angelic towards his darling, and demonic towards anyone that he deemed as a threat. He would never allow her to see his face when angry, not wanting to scare her or possibly affect her sanity. If any other humans tried to court (Y/n), they’d soon end up missing.

Man doesn't know what valentines day is so you gotta be the one telling him

Gabriel will be wondering why mandela County suddenly have heart and decorations in their houses and seems to be lively and stuff

Obviously he doesn't like that

He will be asking you questions why and what's happening to the world

When you finally explains what valentines day is he just stare at you arms crossed with a confused disgust look

"Hmmm... that's interesting I didn't know you humans celebrate love.."

mainly there's a bunch of lore details i had to cut from cdta, so i'll go ahead and bullet point some of my favorite tidbits!

adam's favorite album used to be radiohead's The Bends, but since alt!gabriel had it playing on loop while he was painfully transforming into his alternate form and during his time in the Nightmare Sand Pit, now he can't listen to any songs off that album without having a panic attack. thus, his favorite album is now deftone's White Pony.

adam detects the presence of other alternates/supernatural entities by way of prickling in his scalp because he (and all other Type 6s/sleeper agents) has horns! they're very small tho, looking more like little hard bumps on his head, and they're fully covered by his fluffy hair.

jonah unknowingly summoned adam like a demon during the blood magic at the church, and that's why he and adam have the matching sigils in their palms.

adam doesn't remember meeting mark and ruth in the Nightmare Sand Pit anymore

traumatrio did in fact stop at a denny's before they reached sarah's place, and thatcher's cover story for adam's roughed-up appearance was that he got caught up in a drug deal gone bad.

i think enemies to friends/lovers. my favorite version of this atm is when an enemy has to take care of their beloathed bc an even Worse Baddie fucked them up severely, and the two grow closer in that vulnerable state

13) Are there any tropes you used to like but don't anymore?

not a huge fan off those one-off fluff fics. those were the main thing i would read when i first discovered fanfic as an 11 yr old, but now all i wanna read are the most intense angst fics lol

36) Do you visualize what you read/write?

i mean my answer should be kinda obvious given how much art of my own fics i've made lol. tho i will say i think i visualize stories almost to a fault. in a fic that i've since orphaned, it got absolutely obsurdly long bc i felt like i had to describe everything with as much detail as possible so the audience could picture every moment as clearly as i could see it in my head. trying to get into doing comics is what finally taught me how to keep my writing as tight as possible (though again, i think i do this to a fault now T_T)

Three Fics Tag Game

Thank you @moondawntreader for tagging me to share my most popular fic along with two hidden gems!

Most Popular is tricky. By kudos it’s one fic, by subscriptions another, but a third fic has the most hits and the most bookmarks, and that is:

You Can’t Win Because You Don’t Really Want To, a college AU with Beelzebub and Gabriel as juniors and Crowley and Aziraphale as freshman. The demons are art majors, the angels are history majors, and they’re facing off over how to develop the long-abandoned Tadfield House for student use. While Aziraphale and Crowley fall quickly in love, Bee and Gabe can’t even have a civil conversation. And they certainly don’t care about each other. At all. Nope.

This fic connected me with one of my best friends in the fandom, who then brought me on Discord, where I met even more amazing friends, so it has an extra special place in my heart.

Hidden Gems made me think of two fics where I had a lot of fun playing with lesser-used GO characters:

Soldier, Lizard, Frog is simultaneously a character study of the Archangel Michael, a portrait of her poly relationship with Ligur and Haster, domestic fluff featuring pet names and french toast, and some of the filthiest smut I’ve ever written. It was inspired by conversations with the friends mentioned above, and it makes me feel good because I think I did them justice.

Pepper and Salt was written for a discord server challenge (run by more wonderful friends!) with the prompt “Rebellion.” It portrays a possible future for Pepper, who’s been one of my favorite GO characters since I first read the book. She has a conversation with Death, and I think the outcome surprises them both.

Alt Most Popular: I have to mention the humor/smut Symbrock one-shot I banged out last month, which as of a few days ago has more kudos than anything else I’ve written. Hello, Venom fandom, y’all are very sweet!

what you’re looking for has been here the whole time: In which Eddie's horny, so Venom is horny. They'll have to find a human to have sex with. There couldn't possibly be any other solution to this problem.

"Wow, it smells great in here," Dean called, sticking his head into the kitchen where Gabriel was in the process of making caramel on the bunker’s stove. Dean cast a glance at his brother as Sam held a cup of warmed cider in his hands, leaning against the stainless steel work table. "I'm hittin' the shower and then I'll be back for pie," Dean said, poking a dirt-covered finger at the oven and Gabriel. He’d had enough of Gabriel’s cooking to know the archangel’s food was always good, especially his desserts. Gabriel didn't look away from the bubbling pot as he smiled. "It'll be a while, anywho Dean-a-roo." Gabriel's wrist didn't stop feeling his brother pause beside Dean in the doorway. "And you're trying an apple, Cassie. You and the kid." Castiel huffed, rolling his eyes even though he nodded at his brother's insistence on teaching him how to enjoy human food. Dean chuckled, patting Castiel on the arm. Sam smirked behind his mug, chuckling into his warmed drink. "Sorry, he won't be budged, Cas," Sam said over the rim of his mug with a less than apologetic shrug. "You'll like them, and Jack has to try both kinds of the apples." Dean agreed, looking from his partner to Gabriel. "Candied and caramel, right?" Dean asked, looking at Gabriel's back. Gabriel nodded, smirking over his shoulder. "Like I could just make one kind of apple on a stick," Gabriel scoffed with a raised eyebrow. Dean raised his hands in defense. "My apologies, great archangel of baking." Gabriel chuckled at Dean's words, turning back to the stove as Dean turned to Castiel.  "Shower?" Castiel glanced down at his dirt and blood-covered clothing and hands. "What do you think, Dean?" Castiel questioned with a raised brow. Dean rolled his eyes with a smirk. "Come on, cranky," Dean said, shaking his head as he led Castiel to their room. "How can you be unhappy when we come home from a good ol' fashioned ghoul hunt to pie and caramel apples the day before Halloween?" Castiel sighed with a slight roll of his eyes, following Dean down the hall. "I'm very happy with our Halloween Eve desserts and my brother’s unexpected visit, Dean. Why would you think I wouldn't enjoy chasing dead things and you around a graveyard instead of going to an orchard?" Dean's groan echoed down the hallway making the couple in the kitchen laugh. Sam chuckled at the two as they continued down the hall, listening to Dean dig himself deeper. Gabriel smirked, tilting his head towards Sam.

warning(s): self doubts about being a father, pregnancy, protective Gabriel, overall fluff, hints of murder.

Gabriel was absolutely ecstatic when he learned that his darling was pregnant. He’d immediately start helping prepare for the baby. He would work on babyproofing the home, instructing his alternates to stay away from the house by a few miles, making sure (Y/n) was feeling alright, anything that was needed to be ready for the baby. He would wonder if he was ready to be a father, if he’d make a good father at all. But his darling would quickly reassure him that he would be an amazing father.

Gabriel would become very protective over both his darling and the baby. He understood that (Y/n) was carrying what could be considered the antichrist, and he wanted to make sure that she wasn’t harmed in any way. He’d use his alternates to keep an eye on his darling, making them do patrols outside when they weren’t tormenting some poor soul.

Gabriel would do anything to make (Y/n) comfortable. Whether it was giving her massages, gently lifting her stomach to let her relax, he would make sure that she was happy and safe.

When (Y/n) eventually delivers the baby, Gabriel will immediately become more protective over both his darling and child. He’ll insist on helping with the baby, helping lull them to sleep as he cradles them in his arms, tickling them with his feathers, or reading them bedtime stories. He’ll make sure that the baby is healthy, sometimes asking his darling for help when he’s concerned about something. Gabriel being, well Gabriel, he doesn’t have a lot of experience when it comes to children. When he becomes a father, he’ll be learning alongside his darling, but he promises that they both will be great parents for their baby. They might not be perfect, but it won’t be from a lack of trying.

Gabriel will not allow any alternates near his child, he doesn’t want to risk them making his child MAD or scaring his child with their features. Any alternates that try to test him on this quickly disappear. As he becomes more confident in his role as a father, he’ll take his child outside, going into his human form and watching as his child plays at the park. He’ll enjoy these seemingly mundane moments, things he would’ve seen as insignificant, he would finally understand just how meaningful these little moments could be.

Overall, Gabriel loves (Y/n) and their child very much, and he’ll do anything to keep his family safe.
