I should pick up A Realm Reborn again. Yes! I will do this.

I haven't talked about the game much and it's killing me, I know no one'll probably read this but I need to go off, I have so many thoughts

I was level 50 when I last left off, just about to battle a Big Fighty Boi the Garleans uncovered. It has very "season finale" feel to it.

(I cheated and have been watching an online playthrough about halfwayish into Heavensward, but I still want to continue properly!)

WOL

I have a pathological need to keep my characters thematically consistent, so Carmine's gone from conjurer to white mage and I can't make myself try anything new. XD (It's pathological because I don't really enjoy playing white mage therefore this is self-harm klhfvjasdjklfhjasd)

I'm thinking once I finish this msq I'll start a Fyo playthrough that I'll actually see through into the expansions. She's a lot more flexible. She's also a punchygun person so I guess pugilist/monk and then gunbreaker later 🤔 but she DOES dabble in magics! So who knows 💃🥋

I can't put a self-insert in there because Yda already exists oTL

GAME THOUGH!

It's so pretty and big and hilarious. My favorite quest so far has been the white mage one where I have to go all over the world finding relics to pray at. I was underleveled at the time and hadn't explored enough, so I was seeing lots of new interesting areas (and new routes to and from old areas) while running like hell from superior enemies in a panic. Seriously loved it. XD

I'm a person who gets really excited when I see new things. I love new scenery, new characters, new everything. So this game's been a constant joy and I'm frequently beside myself. I play in the name of joyous wonder, dang it. And this game delivers it with gusto. ⭐

I actually really enjoy traveling in games like this, it was almost sad when I got the hang of aether teleporting. I mean I understand but yeah I like to hoof it lol. And I still can! And it's fun!

I'm very predictable because my favorite character so far is Admiral Merlwyb. Tall person with guns and I could listen to nautical metaphors from her all day.

not kidding about her voice - a specific banquet scene happened, I was freaking out for plot reasons, then she blurted out "Seven Hells!" and I was like "thank you, I feel a little better now" XD

Favorite main cast character is probably Tataru and I am incapable of explaining why, but I love all the scions so far. I'm betting we'll get more eventually, so that'll be fun :D

The Garleans are ridiculously one-dimensional villains so far and it's kind of amazing. RE5 Wesker is my fave game villain, I eat that cheese up. Out of curiosity, I googled it and even their capital city is going out of its way to look as evil as possible. 10/10, will go on vacation there next summer

Ascians are over the top too of course, but they have a cult vibe, therefore being over-the-top is just sort of expected

I know all the voices get better in the expansions (most of the main cast I already like but I get why people say this), but I'm going to miss the background-character voice acting in Realm Reborn holy shit lol

The soundtrack's alright so far (I know that gets better later as well). Kinda wish they had more than one "troubling/suspicious thing is happening" track, though. Is... is that still going to be there by Endwalker? XD

I'm crazy for the bagpipe floating island music and all the Alexander tunes 💃🎵

oh and Revenant's Toll! Arriving there was amazing. At the time, I was (again) under-leveled and was going deeper and deeper into unwelcome territory, far from help and civilization, then suddenly I'm in the middle of this remote town with pumping adventurer music and the locals are like "hey, you made it this far! Welcome to a town made by badasses, for badasses" and I'm like 🤩

SOCIAL...NESS

I need more friends to play with, I'm too shy. (I lost ALL of my momentum wanting to be social after that hell-job last year. I never quite got my spark back. 😔)

So um... what's the best way to find more people? Friendly laid-back people?

Also I notice a lot of the game's story stuff you HAVE to play alone? That's... kinda messed up, isn't it? Especially non-dungeon/raid cutscenes. You play together and one person just sorta stands around awkwardly while the other watches the story, and reacting is weird because they can't see what's happening.

Like... it feels like I'm going to a friend's house to watch a show with a friend, but then we have to be in separate rooms when I get there. Seems unfortunate.

it'd help if I could make myself play dungeons with other people. I'm too afraid I'll mess up and get yelled at. oTL

Swiss Army Man- R | Moo's rating: 10/10

This is my all time favorite movie. My comfort movie, if you will. Its WEIRD though. It has a lot of gross/surreal comedy, especially in the beginning so its not for everyone! Don't feel bad if you try to watch it and decide YIKES no thanks. Trust me, I understand lmao. But if you can make it through the gross stuff, I promise you a movie that is unlike any you've ever seen. I think its worth going into it completely blind but if you fancy watching the trailer, here it is:

Paul Dano and Daniel Radcliffe are SPECTACULAR as the main characters and the soundtrack is hands down my FAVORITE movie soundtrack to date. I listen to it all the time in my free time because its that good. There are so many lessons on what it means to be alive, to be open so that others can understand and love all of you and it just GAH makes me cry every time.

Trigger warnings: suicide attempts, nudity (asscheeks), sexual humor, one of the characters is a corpse so uhhh whatever that trigger would be lol

Kimi no na wa/Your Name- PG | Moo's rating: 10/10

Amazing, spectacular, perfect, yes. This is my faaaavorite anime movie. The animation is mind blowing and paired with an OST by Radwimps???? Ahhhhh so gooood. This is the movie I share with my non-anime fan friends/family because its that gorgeous 😍 I cry EVERY time

Based loosely on the Odyssey by Homer, this movie USED to be my all time favorite. I've seen it like a million times by now. Its a Coen Brothers film so OBVIOUSLY its a total banger. Its a funny, wild ride from start to finish with a FANTASTIC cast and another perfect OST.

TW: Racism/ scenes involving the KKK, some animals are killed (cows and toad). As someone who is sensitive to animal death in movies, I'm not too bothered by the scenes so take that as you please

School of Rock- PG-13 | Moo's rating: 9.5/10

I mean.... I feel like I shouldn't even have to say anything about this one. If you haven't seen it then what're you doing??????? Go watch it!! Its literally Jack Black playing Jack Black, what more do you need?

This one ALSO used to be my favorite movie. Absolutely hilarious and great quality kung-fu action! Stephen Chow is a genius 🙏🙏🙏 (Shaolin Soccer is also good but Kung-fu Hustle is iconic 😘👌)

Talk about EXCITING. This movie is a RIDE. Daniel Radcliffe honestly might be one of my fave actors these days tbh because he fuckin rocks in this one too. Very very actiony and violent but there are some super cool and pretty shots and scenes like wow I love it and need to rewatch it

Hunt for the Wilderpeople- PG-13 | Moo's rating: 8.5/10

Listen, I'm a big sucker for the "grizzled old man adopts child" trope AND Taika Waititi's brand of humor so this movie is just mwah chef's kiss. Its set in beautiful New Zealand so theres plenty to admire 😍 I was gonna rate it a 9/10 but there ARE a few parts that drag a tiny bit. Still though, it's spectacular and worth a watch for sure

I'm gonna split these up in 2 categories: Live action and animation, because I watch a lot of both 👌

First, Live Action:

The Good Place- TV-PG | Moo's rating: 10/10

You KNOW imma always recommend this show its perfect and I rewatch it ALL the time. AMAZING ensemble cast with a ton of chemistry, hilarious, heartfelt, ugh its just fantastic in every way. Its also such a treat to look at like mmmm Ted Danson, Manny Jacinto, William Jackson Harper, Kristen Bell- LITERALLY ALL OF THEM CMON

TW: none? I mean, i would say death but its about the afterlife so thats kind of a given, ya know? So uhh just some sexual stuff and like... alcohol? Less of trigger warning and more of a content warning i guess

The Nanny: TV-PG | Moo's rating: 9.5/10

This show awakened some things in me as a kid, yo. Fran is a fashion icon, I was literally IN LOVE with her back then. Still am tbh.

TW: its pretty innocent, some sexual content of course but thats about it

Malcolm in the Middle- TV-PG | Moo's rating: 9/10

I've lost track of how many times I've rewatched this banger. Its wildly entertaining and depicts a family that loves just as hard as they fight GAH the cast is so quirky and the moments when they come together for a common goal (especially when they defend Lois???) is just so sweet. 🥰 its also surprisingly progressive! There's an episode where both Malcolm and Reese think the other one is gay and it genuinely made me so soft how they were trying so hard to be supportive agsgshdgsh I love it (also Hal is Bryan Cranston's best role ever, no competition. Everyone deserves a husband like Hal)

TW: some rough family situations, military school

My Name is Earl- TV-PG | Moo's rating: 9/10

This show would be a 10/10 if it didn't get canceled and also have that weird coma stuff in season 3. Even with that though, this show is amazing. Soooo funny and full of super sweet life lessons. Its genuinely heartwarming to watch Earl learn lessons and navigate his new way of life 🖤

Raising Hope- TV-PG | Moo's rating: 8.5/10

Good Girls- TV-14 | Moo's rating: 7.5/10

Like watching women commit crimes? Then this is the show for you! Honestly this show is just fun. And the soundtrack is BANGING

Dead to Me- TV-MA | Moo's rating: 7/10

Christina Applegate is SO GOOD in this show. And paired with Linda Cardellini???? 😙👌 honestly if I was rating the first season alone, I would rate it a 9/10 but the second season brought it down a little. The characters and their relationships are so complex, its so consuming 🙏 (also bi representation wassup)

Okay let's move on to animated shows 👍

Bojack Horseman- TV-MA | Moo's rating: 10/10

This is SUPERIOR writing. I dont even know how to talk about this show because it has EVERYTHING. Its socially conscious, hilarious, dark, depressing, hopeful, EVERYTHING. I never expected to connect to or be affected by this show the way I have been. The characters are deep and all go through their own personal arcs throughout the 6 seasons and it is honestly the first show I've seen to accurately depict SO MANY THINGS. Stuff like depression and ptsd and addiction and the strain fame puts on people, especially young people GEE IM GETTING EMOTIONAL ALL OVER AGAIN. Anyway, its amazing, ill stop now

TW: all of them. All the triggers. Well maybe not all of them. There's a lot of substance abuse and addiction and driving under the influence. Character death, violence, real world issues like gun control and sexism... its pretty chock full of stressors, so if you're someone who is sensitive to that kinda thing, make sure to look up a complete list of trigger warnings before watching! 🖤

Bob's Burgers- TV-PG | Moo's rating: 10/10

I probably don't need to explain why this is here. Great original music, fun characters, life lessons. Its the best, the end

King of the Hill- TV-PG | Moo’s rating: 10/10

I do a rewatch of this classic at least once a year.

I always tell people that Bob from Bob’s Burgers is my ideal of a perfect (white cis male) Democrat and Hank from King of the Hill is my ideal of a perfect (white cis male) Republican and I’m so so right. Hank is so conservative in his attitude about literally EVERYTHING, but not in the horrible Confederate flag waving, woman hating way. He’s a reserved, private guy who constantly LEARNS and GROWS, and is always open to other people’s lifestyles, even if he doesn’t understand it or if it makes him uncomfortable.

This show tackles a wide variety of people and topics and never fails to make it funny AND sweet. There are times when Hank can be bullheaded and infuriating but he always comes around to make the right decision by the end of the episode 🥰 He also reminds me SO MUCH of my dad. Literally his mannerisms, his voice, the way he says “Whhat?” when he’s shocked... it’s just my dad in cartoon form, I swear lmao

TW: republicans, guns, depression, Hank’s dad is abusive af (though he does have moments of sweetness)

The Amazing World of Gumball- TV-Y7-FV | Moo’s rating: 10/10

This show NEVER gets old. When I just wanna watch a quick something while I eat lunch or if none of my other shows are doing it for me, this is my go-to. It’s a kids show so it’s definitely more lighthearted than the others but it’s straight up HILARIOUS and has some adult jokes sprinkled in here and there.

On top of that, they use a huge mix of animation types. From 2D to CG to claymation to puppetry WOW it’s so cool

TW: cartoon violence

Futurama- TV-14 | Moo’s rating: 9/10

Maybe I’m just simple but this show is just laugh after laugh after laugh. So witty and quick. It’s another one that I rewatch constantly. (honestly all of these shows are 🤷‍♂️)

TW: violence, sex, drugs/alcohol

Archer- TV-MA | Moo’s rating: 8.5/10

Like Bojack, this one is very mature and not for everyone. It’s one of those shows (like It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) that has a full cast of degenerates and bastards. Archer is an alcoholic douchebag, Mallory is a greedy bitch, Cheryl is clinically insane, Cyril is a whiny sex addict, Pam is an obnoxious pervert, Lana is a naggy wet blanket, Kreiger is a mad scientist, Ray is gay.

But it’s funny as fuck. It’s definitely one of those things where you’re like “oh no i can’t believe I’m laughing at this” but man I just love it. The dialogue is FANTASTIC and the wacky shenanigans they get into is always entertaining. If adult humor is something you’re into then this one is perfect 👌

Pam is my fave 🙏

TW: uhhh everything again. lots of violence and death, sex, drugs/alcohol, addiction, just straight up terrible human beings doing terrible things

The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack- TV-Y7-FV | Moo’s rating: 8/10

Another cartoon for kids that I got endless joy from as an adult. It’s weird af and sometimes disgusting but the brand of humor is RIGHT up my alley. I dunno how to explain it, just give it a watch

Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts- TV-Y7 | Moo’s rating: 8/10

Want to see some representation? Watch Kipo! The three main characters are POC and one is gay! The animation for this show is so nice and pretty too 😙👌 And the soundtrack??? Yes. Spectacular.

I would rate it higher but it felt a little short 🤔 even though it has 3 seasons, once it finished I felt like there should have been more.

Hilda- TV-Y7 | Moo’s rating: 7/10

This one is just nice and wistful and cute. Little adventures in a magical world of trolls and witches and other interesting mythical creatures.

you're in for a wiilllld ride with endless summer! top gun is also one of my favourite love interests so far (plus sean and estela). i love the art style and when i started playing it i thought it would be some weird summer romance.... it wasn't what I expected and the twists kept coming. if you don't already and dc about spoilers i suggest you look up the wikia or some guides before playing a chapter that way u can see which choices matter or which ones will get u +1 with the friend group!

(I played the first chapter like ages ago but never continued but when distant shores was put off for a week I decided it would be perfect timing) anyway despite the spoilers I still had no idea how much it would actually rip tlme to shreds and pull on my heartstrings ♥‿♥｡ I am very fond of all the characters, I love the dynamic they all have and you can actually see all of them slowly opening up towards each other and the artwork is so gorgeous!!!!! THE FACT THAT WE GET A LOT OF SCENES ANIMATED/MADE LIKE THAT??? I AM IN LOVE WITH IT. It is also one of the few books I actually listen to the soundtrack! (whenever there is an action scene/etc going on I am like YEEEEEEs)

I am currently halfway through book 3 and I am getting so emotional over everything. (The Idols in Book 2 killed me ಥ‿ಥ ) I am currently replaying The freshman book 4 so I can have something a bit less serious in between (Also cause I wanted to do that anyway since it is a short and sweet book lol)

In the first book i romanced all of them but I then settled for jake HE HAS MY HEART. I CAN’T.

I actually use the guides a lot! (I use it for all the books even if it spoils me I just can’t afford to like replay a chapter or sth asudhakjsaik it really helped me with blades for skills and Xp and what not it makes things a lot easier when to decide if a diamond choice is worth it) but thank you for letting me know anyway!

Natasha needed a nudge and who else better give it to her than Sarah Rogers herself?

set sometime after CACW and before Infinity War.

Okay, I know the title are two ABBA songs but there’s nothing else related to ABBA in this fic; I just happened to be listening to the Mamma Mia soundtrack while thinking of a title lol

There are bad missions and there’s bad missions.

This one happens to fall into the latter category, Natasha noticed, a little bit too late. They were tracking down a major supplier of illegal Chitauri weapons deep in the rural countryside. Sam was in charge of flying their jet while Steve and Wanda took down the dealers as a distraction so Natasha can come into their main office and gather the intel.

She plugged in the flash drive and began coding the files from the computer into it, typing furiously. She heard a lock click and in a split second, she has her gun drawn and twirled around to face one of the dealers, holding a gun in front of him. She was a fraction of a second too late as he already fired at her twice, two bullets hitting her chest and stomach. Shit, she cursed through gritted teeth and managed to fire at the guy just before she started to stammer down, gripping onto the desk behind her. The shot hit his waist and he stumbled backwards.

Natasha fired another round at him but her aim was shaky as she tries to keep standing up. She heard the door burst open and collapsed to the floor at the sight of Steve. He looked at her then at the man, who was getting ready to fire at Steve, but he beat him to it and emptied his gun at him to make sure he’s gone, before running to Natasha’s side.

She remembered seeing Steve hold onto her and him screaming into his earpiece for Sam to get them. And she could faintly hear Steve crying out her name, sounding very desperate. Natasha wants to wake up and remind him to let go of her and get the flash drive instead, what is he doing!!! This mission would be pointless if they don’t get that intel. She tried but she couldn’t. She felt something consuming her and she let it, letting the pain go.

Natasha woke up, her head feeling light and vision hazy. She was lying down in bed, but the ceiling was unfamiliar for her. Slowly, she turned her head around and saw a woman watching her. Natasha squinted her eyes at the figure but she couldn’t make out her face. Feeling weak, she took her time to sit up and examine her surroundings. She was at a small apartment, and although it was a place she’s never been to before, it feels… familiar.

“I’m glad you’re awake,” the woman’s voice broke the silence. Natasha was still looking around her and let her eyes fall on the woman in front of her once again.

“Who are you? Where am I?” Natasha’s voice came out as raspy and she coughed to clear her throat but soon flinched from the pain she suddenly felt on her stomach. She placed a hand down to put a little bit of pressure on it, hoping to ease the pain.

“Are you hurt?” the woman replied, a frown gracing her beautiful features. Natasha narrowed her eyes. She looks so familiar. And that frown… she’s seen that frown somewhere, she just couldn’t remember. When Natasha didn’t answer, the woman let out a bit of a chuckle. “Oh dear, I’m sorry. You must be confused. I’m Sarah. Sarah Rogers.”

Natasha blinked. Sarah…? Like Steve’s mother, Sarah? Well that does explain the familiar features. And the apartment. She’s seen photos of it from Steve’s old files from before the war. Steve talked about how beautiful his mother was but seeing her personally, she’s gorgeous. Steve definitely got his striking blue eyes from his mother.

Sarah smiled at her, noticing the look of recognition on Natasha’s face. “I take it that you know me from Steve?” Natasha nodded, still trying to take in what’s really happening. “Good. I’m glad that he still talks about me, that silly punk.”

Natasha felt her lips twitch at that. She remembered Steve telling her that his mother and Bucky would call him ‘punk’ due to his reckless nature. “Um, Ms. Rogers, why am I seeing you? Am I… dead?” the possibility of her being dead hasn’t really hit Natasha yet but that’s the only reason that she could think of that would make her see Sarah. She felt a pang of sadness… and regret.

Sarah laughed - it was a beautiful sound - and waved a hand, shaking her head. “Don’t worry, dear, you’re not dead. Almost, though. You were hit, badly, and poor Steve’s shaken,” she explained. Natasha frowned, she remembered getting shot but she didn’t think it was that bad.

“Oh… Um, but how am I with you?” she asked once again.

“Yes, about that. Well this is just me visiting you in a dream. But you’ll be fine, honey, don’t worry,” Sarah reassured, noticing the look of concern on Natasha’s face.

“Huh. I’ve been getting interesting dreams lately,” Natasha mumbled. She thought about the dream she had the other day - a vision of a family, her family. With Steve. Complete with a big house and a white picket fence. She shook her head because no, that’s not possible.

Sarah was watching her intently. “Natasha, I’m here because I want to talk to you. I’ve been watching you and my son from up here,” she paused, taking a deep breath, releasing it with an exasperated puff. “And I got to say, that is most frustrating thing I’ve ever had to watch. Both of you are stubborn and don’t realize what you have right now could be something more.”

Natasha was speechless. Something more? With Steve? She just stared at Sarah, not knowing what to say.

Sarah sighed at the sight of Natasha looking clueless. “Natasha, do you really not see it? Or are you just refusing to acknowledge it?” Sarah asked her, although Natasha knew it was more of a rhetorical question.

The thing is, she does see it. The frequent glances, the banter, and even the way he just seems happier when she’s around. Besides, subtly isn’t exactly Steve’s strongest point. The guy wears his heart on his sleeve for everyone with eyes to see. And anyone who spends at least 5 minutes around the two of them would be able to tell that Steve practically looks at Natasha with heart eyes.

But Sarah is right. Natasha is refusing to acknowledge it. She’s scared, okay? She’s used to every good thing in her life being taken away from her. And Steve? Steve’s the best thing that’s happened to her (well, and Clint too).

She can’t manage to lose him - doesn’t want to lose him. She really tried not to, but she’s starting to depend on him, on his presence. Like how his constant soothing words everytime she found herself to be in a bad place - nightmares, flashbacks - would be enough to bring her back to reality, to herself. The way he just seems to make her forget her past, the red in her ledger.

“Natasha?” Sarah called out. Natasha’s eyes snapped back to meet hers and she looks a little concerned. “Don’t overthink it. You care about him, and he cares about you. A lot. Now, just listen to what your heart wants, I think it’ll help lead you two in the right direction.” She smiled softly and reached out to grasp Natasha’s hand. “Now, go back there and you’ll figure it out. Thank you for being there for my son.”

Then darkness overtook her.

Natasha awoke with a start. She tried to take a deep breath, but was met with pain instead. She has a pair of breathing support tubes in her nose that is probably breathing for her. Frowning, she tried to look around - as best as she could, anyway, she felt so sore - and found a mop of blonde hair on her right side. She can immediately tell that it’s Steve, and he looks fast asleep, bent at a weird angle from the chair he was sitting in. His head was resting on top of his crossed arms, with one of his hands clutching Natasha’s.

Based on the ceiling and lights around her, she’s in a room that’s not quite an actual hospital room, but is set to look like one; with machines plugged in around her and it looks familiar. Pausing to think for a moment, she realized this must be one of SHIELD’s clandestine facilities, which she’s been to in some other regions in the country, like the underground one Fury recovered in. They probably couldn’t risk taking her to an actual hospital in case they get caught.

Steve stirred a couple of seconds later, most likely sensing she was awake based on her moving her head. Well, she and Steve has always been attuned to each other, so it wouldn’t surprise her if he felt that she was awake through no other means but his gut.

He looked startled for a moment, eyes still unfocused as they met Natasha’s, who already has a smile playing on her lips. “Hi soldier,” she croaked out. It was meant to be teasing but it turns out she barely has a voice. Which reminds her, she needs water. Her throat felt like cardboard.

Steve looked stunned. He remained silent for a couple of more seconds until breathing out a long sigh. “Oh thank god,” she heard him mutter before he ducked his head down and she felt him kiss her hand. When he looked up at her again, his eyes were shining with unshed tears. “I’m so happy you’re awake, Nat. We were so worried…” he trailed off, looking at her intently, like she was the only thing in the world that mattered. In any other circumstances, Natasha would’ve teased him about this, but right now, she can only widen her smile and feel her cheeks heat up a bit.

“What happened?” she asked, her voice still low. Steve raised his eyebrow at the way she sounded, and seemed to get the clue that she needed water. He held up a hand and reached down, taking a bottle of water and straw from what she guessed was his bag under the bed. He let her hand go as he uncapped it, put the straw in, and held it up in front of her to drink. Natasha sipped from the straw as quickly as she could, and in just a few seconds, she finished the bottle. Steve let out a small chuckle and put it away, sitting back down, and grasping her hand in his again.

“Hm, where do I even start? It has been a tough week, Nat.” he said lightly, but there was a heaviness in his voice - something like resignation, weariness, and relief all at once.

“Wait, a week?” Natasha interjected. “I was out for a week?” Steve only nodded and Natasha gaped at him. No wonder he looked like a mess. And she feels like a mess.

“Yeah. We nearly,” she heard his voice waver, but he continued, “lost you. A couple of times too,” Steve cleared his throat, blinking quickly. “If you were leaning a little bit more to your right…” Steve trailed off, shaking his head. Natasha knew what he meant, based on the tubes on her nose and chest. “Fury had you transported here, ASAP. He sent Sam the coordinates as soon as he mentioned you were shot. Badly.” Steve sighed.

“But did you get the intel?” Natasha asked after Steve paused. As soon as she asked that, though, she knew it was the wrong question.

Steve stared at her and frowned. Natasha had to stop herself from grinning. He looked so much like Sarah had been in her vision, but she didn’t want to tell him that right now. “Nat. Did you not hear what I just said? You almost died, I couldn’t care less about some damn intel,” he scowled.

“I’m sorry…” Natasha muttered, feeling guilty. Sarah’s words echoed in her mind. He cares about you. A lot. “I’m just worried that-”

“- We wouldn’t get the intel we need, yes, I know that,” Steve cut her off and finished her train of thought. Natasha stayed quiet. “But Nat, you have to understand, you mean so much more to us, to me,” he emphasized, and Natasha’s eyes widened fractionally, “than some piece of information,” his grip on her hand was getting tighter with each word.

Natasha didn’t say anything and just looked at him, her eyes searching his. “Come here,” she motioned for him to come closer to her. Throwing her a puzzled look, Steve stood up to move his seat closer and leaned over her. Natasha used her free hand to pull him down by tugging his shirt, and clashed their lips together.

It seemed like it took Steve a few moments to realize what was happening since he just froze and Natasha moved her hand from his shirt to the back of his head, pressing him down harder. He finally came to his senses at this, and started to kiss her back, closing his eyes. Knowing that Natasha probably doesn’t have the strength, he adjusted himself so she doesn’t have to pull him down, and put his arm on the bed to brace himself over her.

The kiss, which started out innocent and slow, became more heated as months of pent up desire overcame them. Steve poured out all his worry and concern and relief into it, relishing into the fact that she’s here and she’s alive. Natasha was taking it all, gripping into his shirt and resisting the urge to pull him closer. There are still tubes connecting her to machines and she wouldn’t want him to pull on those.

“So are you ever going to tell us she woke up or are you going to wait until after your honeymoon before doing so?” A teasing voice made Steve suddenly jump up and pull away from Natasha. Sam was leaning by the already-opened door frame, a smirk plastered on his face. Wanda was right behind him, face split into a huge grin.

Steve was at a loss for words and can feel that his face is probably matching the red of his uniform. “I- uh,” he looked at Natasha for help, but she just had a smug look on, looking back at Sam and Wanda. “Um, why didn’t you knock?” Steve finally managed to let out.

“We did,” Wanda answered, moving in front of Sam and into the room. “But no one answered. We thought you two were both still sleeping so we let ourselves in,” she explained.

“But turns out, it was a different kind of sleeping,” Sam said with a wink. “You were supposed to call a doctor when she woke up!” he reminded Steve.

“Oh. Um, doctor, yes,” Steve repeated, blinking, looked at the headboard above Natasha and pressed a button.

“However, I am glad you two finally figured it out,” Wanda mentioned, sitting at the chair on Natasha’s other side.

“Figured it out?” Steve asked, tilting his head at her.

“Oh, we had helped,” Natasha answered, reaching for Steve’s hand and locking her fingers with his. He looked down at her, still looking confused, but she just smiled broadly at him. She knows their relationship is about to become something more.

What are three basic facts about you? Okay so whenever a teacher asks me to introduce myself at the start of the school year, my default interesting fact is “I have a dog” and every single year the teachers are super amazed that i have a pet dog and it’s absolutely hilarious bc everyone else is like “I’m not sharing any personal information with you guys”, and the teacher ends up interrogating me about my pet dog.

That’s not a basic fact lol um.. My birthday is on the 15th of July, I’m the youngest of 3 siblings and I graduate in 2020 :))

What was the best part of your day today? Ngl this is actually a really hard question for me to answer because I am NOT in a good mental state right now… but probably watching Joe Sugg’s new vlog. That was a good way to spend a study break. What’s one piece of advice to yourself a year ago? GIRL things are gonna be tough. Like really hecking tough. But it’s not worth it to hold grudges, there’s no point letting fear of what could happen stop you from doing things you want to do and you will survive and you will be stronger because of it. Don’t let what other people say about you get you down, yes, it sucks to hear people speculating about you and your private life, but they have no idea what’s actually going on, and they’re just curious . No one has anything against you. You are loved, and you are worthy, and you are strong. You got this.

what is a skill you wish you had? To play guitar!! Or to be able to sing!!

What’s your degree/favourite subject? Uhhh it was drama but i dropped that and the 2019 school year hasn’t started yet so.. Who knows?

What motivates you to study? The fact that I gotta do well and get good marks in order to get into a good uni course… and the fact that i just want to keep getting better,, and i don’t want to disappoint people and i also don’t want to do badly bc yikes its real competitive at my school so like lowkey fear of failure

What time do you do your best studying? Tbh it really depends, it’s either the morning not long after i wake up (esp if it’s holidays or the weekend), right after i get home from school, or like late at night if i get a burst of motivation (like sometimes i’ll end up studying from 10:30 to 1am which isn’t sustainable if i have to get up at 7 for school)

Best self care tip for exam season? Don’t spend your time around people who get really stressed out. It only makes you more stressed, and you don’t need that extra worry. Positive vibes only. Stay chill!

Do you listen to music when you study? Yeah. I just listen to music with no lyrics and I’ll use @studyquill’s playlist :DD

Where do you do your best studying? I do pretty much all my studying at home so.. home?? but i have this spot at school that i like to go to in the mornings when no one’s at school yet because it’s super quiet and i can get some quality work done there

My grandpa also has great disdain for recent music... he doesn't like anything after the 50s. So I think its funny that he likes Shrek and he'll watch it any time its on tv. I'm not familiar with Top Gun's soundtrack. I'll have to give Take My Breath Away a listen!

My dad words at a university and he used to bring me and my siblings to the international dinners he'd host. Students would always as me what I was studying and eventually when people started talking to me I'd introduce myself by saying I was my dad's daughter and that I was in high school. I'm not sure if any of them were ever hitting on me bc I was, and still am, pretty oblivious to flirtations. It sucks that you had to tell guys you were in high school to get them to back off. Glad to hear they did, though.

I used to be a hufflepuff when I was in university! I re-took the quiz twice about a year ago and was shocked to get Slytherin both times but I've embraced it. Most of the qualities are very positive except for cunning and I don't think that describes me at all.

I totally get that. I had a similar experience meeting my best friend at university. We clicked really fast and even after graduating I still hang out with her once a week. (The teenage drama movie life thing sounds awful but in high school I was definitely also on the outside of my friend circle) It sure has been hard recently to maintain friendships but I have more good friends right now than at any other point in my life.

Aw, that's sort of wholesome though. I'd get that from the older ladies at my church lol. "What are you studying?"/"Algebra, usually." Which was a LAUGH. And to be honest, I'm a flirty person by nature. I think flirting is fun. But to be crude for a moment (and apologies), most of their flirting would be staring at my breasts. :/ But it was SUCH HIGH HOPES when they backed off. Like YES you GO performing the bare minimum by not being attracted to children. Bravo. But really, I've never had a dude flirt with me who wouldn't back off after me shutting them down, minor or not. So I'm very fortunate in that way. But I too can be fairly oblivious? First time I got asked out, I thought he was asking me to hang out with the friend group. Then he was like "... like a date." After I had asked where did we all wanna meet up. Lmaooooo.

We do change as we grow. I've been taking some personality quizzes for school in regards to the PMAI (Pearson-Marr Archetype Indicator) especially and it actually talks a lot about how at different times in your life you'll display different archetypes depending on what you're having to adapt to or overcome. So I think the same is true for Houses. What's peculiar to me about Houses is that when I was younger I was under the understanding that you were your House, right? But the older I got, I prescribe to the "your House is what you admire" type theology. So I might not embody a Hufflepuff in every action, but a Hufflepuff is what I aspire to be. I admire loyalty above all else. Loyalty and kindness. I might not always BE kind. I'm far too hot-headed to be the embodiment of a Hufflepuff, but I admire gentle souls the most. Ergo, Hufflepuff. I've always hated how Slytherins were associated with negative sounding modifiers. Cunning IS a negative word since by definition it's about achieving one's goals through deceit. But I dont understand why being quick-witted and clever couldn't have been the heavier association. I think Ravenclaw's are booksmart and Slytherin are streetsmart. Gryffindors are street tough, while Hufflepuff are ready to roll. Does that make sense? I think the whole cunning/silver-tongued thing was the stupidest idea, because then you are saying narratively that Slytherin IS the evil House. Why have the House at all? On a meta level, Harry begging not to be considered part of the Dark Side despite the actual Voldemort growing inside of him is symbolic in his rejection of Slytherin, but when you go on to merchandise and tell children you are a Slytherin; you're telling children they're evil. They're gonna be evil. And not in "this is the House for brats" way. In the "you either die a villain or live long enough to run away." insane. My point is they're OUR Houses now and I'm saying I think you're clever and quick-witted, and that's pretty Slytherin to me.

I'm very blessed to have her and I'm glad other people get to experience that too. I think everyone is deserving of deep connections like that. And I'm glad to hear you taking time for yourself away from dnd. Our sessions can be exhausting too, but half of my party is my literal blood family and the other half is adopted practically so we usually end up hanging out for half of the session. Makes it way less intense. That sounds like it was a fun character!! I haven't gotten the pleasure to play clerics all that much. Right now I'm in three different campaigns that alternate each week. In one I'm a druid, and that's our 5th edition campaign. I'm playing the new Wildfire from Tasha's and I haven't gotten to flex out the Wildfire Spirit yet, I am having fun. I've got a wolf who is using the sidekick mechanic in that game and he's so much fun to play too. In the other two games, those are 4th editions (the edition I grew up on and learned how to play) and in those I am a ranger and a class known as a Warden. Sort of a fighter/druid class. And the druid and the ranger are both shifters, and the warden is my half-orc. I'm always happy to talk dnd lol. Which cleric were you? Trickster Domain?

Of all time? I think I realized recently that it is in fact Falling Slowly. The fact that I have like 7 different versions in my music library was a solid clue that I fucking love it.

My brother and I loved Kris Kross when we were little. That’s some cheeseball rap right there. Also when I was 12 I was super into Prodigy. But then, Firestarter is still a good fucking song.

Yes, usually dumb shit, like travel across a country/continent/ocean to see them.

I played percussion for 6 years in school and was self-taught on bass, though I haven’t pulled mine out in literal years. (One day I’m gonna get it out again and learn Pink Eyes by AFI. It’s gonna happen.)

Hahahahahahhahahaa not so anyone can hear me.

34: If you could be a member of any band for one show, who would it be?

I would Jordan Pundik from New Found Glory because I still maintain that he only has to sing like half of every song and the crowd does the rest.

35: Do you have a favorite piece of merch?

My current favourite merch item in the world is my 36 Crazyfists hoodie. It’s so soft, so warm, so comfy. My Anberlin carabiner has served me very well over the years too.

36: What’s the first album you ever bought with your own money?

I always tell people it was the first BSB album but it was actually a Raptors promo CD released ahead of their first season in the NBA. BSB just sounds more like it’s a real thing that existed.

37: Do you prefer buying physical copies of albums or do you download them on the internet?

Physical. Digital versions just… I don’t connect with them as well? I don’t know, I don’t feel like I really own them if I can’t touch ‘em.

38: CDs or vinyls?

Vinyl. Also, not to be a pedant, but the plural of vinyl is vinyl.

39: Do you play your music out loud or with headphones?

Headphones. Used to be out loud all the time back in the days of desktop computers when I’d be alone in a room on the computer and could do that without annoying everyone lol.

I guess I can blame Raven for how much I love Eric Church, does that count?

Anberlin - The Unwinding Cable Car, but like, a very specific recording of it. This one, in fact, starting at 3:08 when Stephen is singing the bridge and the crowd comes in with “this is the correlation between salvation and love” part completely unprompted and it builds up until he’s holding “heart” and we’re holding “dark” and it’s fucking magical and you know what’s not captured on the audio recording? The look on Christian’s goddamn face when that happened. That was a hell of a show.

I mean, you could go ahead and play that version of Cable Car linked in the last answer because it’s probably what killed me anyway, but if you wanna be more cliche just bust out Hear You Me by Jimmy Eat World.

I listened to BedLIGHT for BlueEYES for the first time in a few years the other day so um. Them. The lyrics have not held up super well but my GOD they’re catchy. (Although “But I guess I shouldn’t hat you you, in fact I oughtta thank you for helping me write this song / If this album tops the Billboard I think I’ll save the quarter to call you and let you know” from Too Late still fucking kills though.)

When I did run more often it was to movie soundtracks. 127 Hours had some really good running tunes. Also there’s a song on the Inception soundtrack that was perfect for a good sprint.

▪If you could be a mentor to any fictional character what character would it be? Right now, the first name off the top of my mind is Caroline Forbes from TVD. Lordy what a pitfall her character took when the writers at the helm changed. Her especially because she is just soo giving to all those in need, even at the expense of her own hopes and dreams and aspirations, despite them not realising her worth. I’d like to be there to remind her that sweetie it’s okay to take a step back for yourself. Prioritise yourself. ( this has been the main reason for me not watching the show past s4). Or Draco Malfoy.

▪What’s your favourite childhood memory? Ooohh. Ok so what I recall right now is me and my sister playing our own version of LARP when we were kids in our apartment. Like nothing extensive or over the top but exciting nonetheless. We would use mum’s old satchels and handbags to use as backpacks and arm ourselves with tiny water pistols, lunch, bandaids, pellet guns and banadanas for the chosen story of the day. A recent memory is of a few years ago with my younger brother(we have a larger age gap between us). He had asked me to teach him how to do a handstand and/or headstand. Younger me didn’t know how either so we looked it up. What then, out came the pillows to secure the area, my brother was 6 or 7yo at that time I think, and both of us trying to stay upright with the help of the wall, with our shirts slipping down our faces. I remember I kept falling sideways on him as he was beside me not on purpose i swear , maybe because I was older and heavier. idk why my body went sideways when I lost balance instead of front, but it was funnier because it irritated him too, and that’s always a plus. We had finally gotten the hang of it and so when our cousins visited in the following weeks, my brother was eager to show off his skills. So there we were 4 of us, in the spare room, a 3×6 spread of pillows along the longest wall (we have lots of pillows) around us, trying to latch ourselves to the wall because we had the stupid idea of competing on who reached the other end of the wall while doing a handstand and failing miserably because we kept laughing so hard. 😂that was a good day.

▪If you were the protagonist of a novel what would your story be about? Lol I dunno. A gothic novel where I’m the ghost with strange predilictions scaring away people who dare tread in my territory without an adequate compensation of salty-chips with unexpected bursts of MUSE soundtracks in the background.

▪Tell me about your favourite thing, without actually saying what your favourite thing is. …zzZZzz… (as an overworked student, this is a treasured entity)

▪Do you think that in the future we’ll have flying cars? With the advances technology has been making since the last century? Most definitely.

▪Would you rather be a mutant than an Inhuman? Mutant. And powers could be like Betsy or Rogue (but w/ control pls) or Gambit

▪What is something you’d like to do in the future? Travel. Cliché I know. But yeah.

▪You can travel between fictional universes. What are your first five stops? Hogwarts. Doctor Whoverse. Not exactly fiction, but a world where I’m a wandering fly on the wall and P&P is taking place. Storybrooke. PJOverse.

▪If you could name an animal, what would you name it? I had fishes named Velma and Daphne and a chicken named Henry. I don’t think you can trust me with nomenclature

▪'Murder is the first on your list.’ - first thing you thought when you read that. Jim Moriarty. My current interest in fictional psychopaths.

▪Shakespeare could have totally been a superspy stopping the Gunpowder plot. Yay or Nay. ▪If Shakespeare wasn’t a superspy who do you think is? Historical figures only. Ok so I had to look this up because I only vaguely remembered reading about this. Tbh I dunno..maybe? I feel I haven’t read enough about the whole situation to make an educated guess. Butttt…sure, why not? Uhh if i had toooo…The brontë sisters lol.

▪Preferred methods of torture Ahem. I sense a common subtext here. But speaking from experience….eating nachos with cheese dip or cream-and-onion chips right in front of them relishing every bite but not sharing(on brother), playing JB out loud (on me) and clicking the pen continuously and periodically in a silent room(on sister)

Which afterworld myth/legend/belief would you prefer?Oblivion. The idea of suffering even after death seems scary. Though reincarnation sounds cool. But only if you remember your previous lives. I’d like to remember if I had been Medusa once and used to stun people by my appearance;)

▪Part of you that you don’t want touched. Or can’t bear to have touched The sides of my abdomen. You know, the place people target for tickling? I literally cannot bear it, I have trouble breathing if someone pokes me there or tickles it. Other than that, my cheeks. I mean it’s basic knowledge that one doesn’t poke the indentation of the dimples of a grown ass person. RUDE

▪Favourite Book. Pride and Prejudice. The first classic I ever read. Shall always remain my fave.

▪A character that really fucked up big time and you want to hold them by the shoulders, look them in the eye and make sure that they understand they fucked up.That’s….oddly specific. There are countless of them. Randomly choosing…Draco Malfoy? John Watson?

Do you like your reasoned existence of misery or would the animal life be a blessing. Definitely our reasoned existence. An animal’s life seems tempting when the going gets tough, but I’d never trade this state of conscious for blissful ignorance permanently.

Panipuri. Though I now eat them on a lower extent, I used to love them when I was younger.
