For 2023 I decided to stick with acrylic paints, but mixed things up a little by adding some background color blocks. I got started a little late this year (and I’m in the middle of moving) so hopefully I mange to finish.

Hear me out

Idea for an episode:

This could be an episode about the various characters’ backstories. There could be a place in Hell with an archive of everyone’s stories and a picture of them. They could all be curious about that and take a trip down.

While Vaggie, Charlie, and Niffty follow Alastor, Husk and Angel could go off to do their own thing.

At this point, they could have developed a close bond, and each would consider the other their best friend. They could have a bet going about did the worst stuff in life. (But secretly also want to see what the other looked like in life.)

Husk could find out Angel’s first name is Anthony, and jokingly calling him Tony with a bad Godfather accent.

“Please, no! No one called me that but my stupid cousins! And they were assholes to me!”

“I’m just giving you a hard time. Besides, Tony doesn’t fit you as a name,” he smiles softly.

Angel perks up, “Ya think?”

“Yeah. Anthony sounds like a choir boy who got married to his high school sweetheart. That ain’t you.”

Ange laughs and they search for Husk’s file. Once they find it, Husk decided to play keep away. Gliding through the air, taunting Angel. Finally, Angel tackles him and they go tumbling to the floor. They land in a tangle of limbs with Angel on top. He grabs the file and holds it over his head. Husk tries to snatch it back, but winds up too close to Angel’s face.

Angel stops laughing when he notices and squirms a little in embarrassment. He goes to move away, but Husk brushes a claw against his cheek.

(They would be at a point in their relationship where the friendship was real, and the flirting had turned genuine. This could be the building of a lot of little moments.)

“May I?”

Angel nods and their lips meet. The kiss would be soft, tender. The caring touch that neither of them have had in a long while, possibly ever. It isn’t rushed, but it is hungry. Like someone who has been forced to guard food can finally taste it.

When they pull apart, they pant and gaze through half lidded eyes.

Before either can say anything, they hear Charlie and the other’s approaching. They get to their feet and try to look presentable.

“Why does it look like you two just fuck in a closet?” Vaggie asked with a smirk.

Husk recovers first, his blush momentary, “We didn’t. This bitch tackled me cause of the— Wait a second, give that back!”

He realizes that Angel is still holding the file and grabs for it.

On instinct, Angel lurches away, “Who wants to see what Whiskers looked like as an old man?”

Though he is tempted to start another playful wrestling match, he instead sends Husk a wink. The others clamber over to get a look at the file.

(Don’t worry, Husk gets him back later with his own file.)

When they get back the hotel, they have a talk about their feelings. They confess, kiss some more, and be sweet and gay! Angel can call Husk pet names in Italian! It’s all so fluffy and it makes my heart scream! This is my new Roman Empire.

I just NEED more soft looks between them.

Angel of Empire impressed in the G1 Arkansas Derby

The pretty bay sat a perfect trip well off of a solid pace set by Two Eagles River,  Reincarnate, and Harlocap. When those rivals started to tire, Angel came rolling down the outside and looked a winner every step of the stretch. He finished 4 1/4 lengths clear of King Russell who closed from next-to-last to get second over Reincarnate who held on over Rocket Can by a hard fought head.

The biggest disappointment of this race has to be Red Route One, who just couldn’t break his habit of spotting the field a ridiculous margin.

Angel of Empire really has turned into one of the most consistently good horses on this Derby trail despite not being favored in any of his 2023 starts.

Presenting...

Princess Mothra Astra, the daughter of Godzilla and Mothra! Heir to the throne, and the Angel of Stars who foretold that she would one day become the ruler and protector of the Earth.

She is born on the twilight morning of the third day of April, where a single white star aligned above the heavens and the sunrise. She is revealed to be the Star Goddess' avatar, christening her blood and soul to the very beginning of her cycle. Both Godzilla and Mothra vowed to cherish her life and learning to become a protector and guardian at all times.

Until a terrible fate happens to the Princess. She was killed under the wrath of Ghidorah, the One who is Many in the eyes of the King and Queen. After Ghidorah's icy imprisonment, she made her final wish to her parents: she will be buried on the twilight eve from the parts of the island (the Philippines rather) where she will watch them and her people, and her promised about one day, she will be incarnated...

As centuries have passed after her death, the Princess' soul now resides on her human incarnation, Ma. Celestina, who would one day find the true meaning of the past and discovering her self.

Hello! And welcome to those who read my Godzilla fanfiction titled "Princess of the Monsters"!

The wait is over!

This is Mothra Astra. And this is also how I depicted her in her Titan form: she is a moth like Mothra, but has dorsal plates behind her wings like Godzilla and it acts like a carapace to protect her body from any danger. She also feeds on radiation, well, half of it. Crystals are her main power because of how resourceful and more powerful the Earth's core's radiation was; she can harness it by detecting 'a twinkling sound' and pinpoints it to the area she used to.

She is depicted to have a symbol of a six-pointed star on her forehead, indicating the avatar of the Star Goddess and supposedly rebirth.

Her appearance made her more ethereal and divine like. She is graceful, kind, loving and helpful like Mothra, and stubborn, strong, feisty, and equally powerful like Godzilla. One thing that describes her is her curiousity because of what was beyond the heavens wherein she could see those who died became stars, a belief she shared from her parents.

There are more stories for her to come. And I only posted this short background for her. Thank you all for liking my art! I work tirelessly just to come up with this!
