You know what would be cool? An animated adaptation of the Circle of Four story, the one with these four in Vegas fighting Blackheart.
Tumblr media
I have read this story before, and let me just say, that from what I remember, it could use some streamlining. It got a bit overcomplicated. Also, you kinda gotta admit, this fusion of powers would really cool to see:
Tumblr media
Kinda wish Laura was a bit in on this fusion of powers, but whatever, sometimes your favorite gets the short end of the stick.
I think all these four would be great to have adapted into the story, but if you felt like having other characters with similar abilities in the limelight, I suggest:
Robbie Reyes swapped with Alejandra Blaze
Daken/Akihiro swapped with Laura Kinney/X-23
Red Harpy swapped with Red Hulk
And Mania swapped with Agent Venom
I'd prefer if you kept the four from the first image, since all deserve the recognition, especially Alejandra

(The Incredible Hulk #1, 1962)
Hey, look, it's Betty Ross's very first appearance, and she's alongside the two men who will define her character forever! And she's putting herself between her dad and Bruce as well as verbally defending him! And I love her for it!

everybody stop and imagine this for a second because i had this thought the other day and it is killing me.
imagine that betty didn’t just disappear after the incredible hulk. she and bruce get back together and she’s there throughout all the rest of the films. (samson is supportive; he knows when betty’s made up her mind.) that kind of stability is new for bruce, but he wouldn’t trade it for anything. no natasha romance. hulk doesn’t disappear to sakaar for two years because he still has her. leaving would hurt betty and he’s done that before, he won’t do it again. they stay out of the civil war conflict for the most part — but betty would have some words for ross.
and then the snap happens. even through that, betty stays. miraculously, she and bruce are both survivors. and though that traumatizes both of them, though the guilt weighs on them, they still have each other. in the five years after, they decide to finally tie the knot and get married. they move into a cabin that once belonged to betty’s mother. (her father had abandoned it a long time ago; it fell into disrepair and needed to be fixed up before they could officially make it theirs.)
before the time heist, bruce is… scared, honestly. scared that something will inevitably go wrong and that he will lose this peace he has managed to find for himself. betty holds him close and tells him that she knows she can’t keep him away; he’s too selfless for that. bruce says that maybe they deserve to be a little selfish, but there’s that quirk to his mouth as he says it that tells her he knows she’s right. so she smiles and tells him to just come back to her. and he does. he always comes back to her, after all.

The Incredible Hulk (1968) #247
#ok I’m only here for Betty#I’m surprised to see her call the Hulk ‘a poor creature who means no harm’#she has been in the book very much since she separated from Glenn and then left her father to try to learn independence#but I think her overall portrayal has veered towards that she has positive (it at times complicated) feelings about Bruce#and with that a begrudging consideration for the Hulk#and I don’t remember what would have happened before she got mostly written out of the book#that would have made her have such a positive and uncomplicated view of the Hulk#because ‘a poor creature who means no harm’ is pretty strong language#also it’s striking that she’s having this confrontation with Glenn and is essentially getting the last word between the two of them#because this isn’t really different from the conflict she’s been having with her father#other than that that’s normally based around how could he do [x] to the Hulk when he knows that Bruce is a part of him#and here she’s just talking about the Hulk and not bringing Bruce up#but confrontations with her father never go this well for Betty#also the fact that she says ‘I won’t even dignify that with an answer’ when Glenn accuses her of still having feelings for Bruce#please I want them to get back together it’s been long enough#I think it would be really interesting#as an aside if Betty’s had feeling for Bruce during her entire marriage with Glenn that that’s kind of Glenn’s fault#I will never drop how the two of them got married during a brief period of time when it was believed that Bruce was dead#and when Glenn learned that Bruce was alive he conspired with General Ross to keep Betty from finding out#to buy Ross time to try to actually kill him#because they both realized that if Betty learned Bruce was still alive she might leave Glenn for him#like Glenn tricked Betty into not getting their marriage annulled during their honeymoon#and then is all upset that their marriage failed and they got a divorce#marvel#betty ross#glenn talbot#fred sloan#rick jones#my posts#comic panels
