feel like there is a connection (wishful thinking) between “we don’t pick the ballroom we just dance” and “i’ll do it but not because you told me to” lol
Ooohh yeah I see it! Thank you so much for the suggestion anon! <3
Without further ado, have some more Noirpunk GIFs!
Noir and Hobie both being little shits (affectionate <3) when being told what to do!
BONUS:
I couldn't decide if I wanted to make 2 long GIFs where the dialogue is connected, or 4 shorter ones where it's split up, so I did both lol
(Once again thank you for the suggestion anon! This was such a good idea! We need as many noirpunk GIFs as we can get lol!)
If you, or anyone else, have more suggestions for noirpunk GIFs (or spiderverse GIFs in general) my inbox is always open! <3

“Hello then, to an Upright cousin.” The child (...) grabs his jacket boldly, pointing back to the door through which Mird brought it.
“Is what you seek through there?”
“Eh,” it grunts in frustration, waving even more vigorously through the door.
Mereel & Family Booksellers chapter 2 by @sidhebeingbrand and @toughbreaks
Just a cleaned up sketch WIP for now, because I don't deal too well with green stuff, and this one would require quite a bit - but I'd been itching to take a crack at this scene for a while now, so here I am! I'm willing to trade this drawing (made for the "fantasy" square of my @bobadinweek AU bingo card, because fae children count there, right?) for the other one made for this very same story on the technicality that Jaster actually very much lives in this one. Technically speaking. I tried my best!

wip wednesday: project shaming edition
i finally remembered wip wednesday, and it's even still wednesday! great job, me, very proud of you.
first, the good. i have yet to spin the second bobbin of my first pipy project, but that's fine—treadle wheels are mostly a weekend thing for me, and i felt crappy last weekend and barely got out of bed. i feel like it'll get done this weekend, no worries. and i'm going to ignore that realistically, i'm going to start spinning up the polwarth i dyed basically as soon as i can, because i'm greedy. surely the limit is one active spinning project per wheel, right?
anyhow, starting 'as soon as i can' is, basically, after i finish this set of socks.
are these socks exciting? no. am i enjoying knitting them? they're fine, i guess. i'm not sure that i love hobbii's sock yarn, and it wants desperately to spiral, for some reason. but the socks will serve their purpose, and that's why i knit socks with novelty yarn, so whatever. i'm getting a lot of very important youtube videos watched.
unfortunately, that's it for the good, and next up we have this hideously orange jumper. it's so orange that neither my phone nor my computer can figure out what to do with it. when it looks right on one, it looks red on the other; when it looks right on the other, it looks like bizarre orange that's both too bright and too dull. this picture looks equivalently bad on both devices, so it's what i'm using.
it's just a mindless no-pattern raglan with hobbii unicorn solids. it looks small, but it's just squished on the needles—it's adult sized, and the body will be something like 470 stitches around. this isn't really sparking joy, though it is, again, good television knitting, and i think that it will be well loved when i'm finished. which might be 2025.
and then the...mixed emotions. i spun this yarn. i'm knitting it into a shawl for my wife. i love both the yarn and the wife. but i'm a little wary of the project itself, because it's not great for mindless knitting (or at least isn't great yet), and also, frankly, i'm so aware that it's silly, you know? will anyone ever wear this shawl? i honestly have no idea. but here's the yarn.
that second picture is one strand of the yarn, one of sewing thread. the yarn is one ply of handspun rambouillet and one of commercial silk, plied loosely together. i went with this because while this is by no stretch of the imagination an orenburg shawl, galina khmeleva says that this is how they're traditionally done: loosely plied, one ply cashmere, one ply commercial silk. i figure if it's good enough for them, it's good enough for me—and also, ok, easier than spinning another 1200 metres of singles for this.
i've started the very beginning of the shawl, and have every intention of finishing it, but haven't gotten far. you can just see the lace on the outer panels starting to form.
i love this shawl. i'm going to finish this shawl. now that i'm thinking about it, though, it might be more of a summer knitting project than a winter one. i'm putting off starting a cowl, which would be a little more practical in the immediate future. i'll see how i feel when i'm done the socks, i guess.

Asking more Isaac HC ehehe :’)
Based on the quote “Eyes are the window to the soul”, I had this idea that Isaac always acting like he hate the farmer but the way he looks at them says otherwise. How would you elaborate on that?
Isaac can deny it all he wants. The cold-blooded warrior could tell his colleagues or subordinates how much he despised that pathetic excuse for an adventurer who was somehow still an official member of the Adventurer's Guild. Isaac could complain to Alesia all night long that Marlon, a man respected by the entire Castle Village community, had made the most questionable decision of his life, whether because of a shortage of Guild members in the Stardew Valley area or for some other reason Isaac, alas, could not understand.
The adventurer with the bad temper and the scarred face can ignore the Farmer's attempts to talk to him as much as he likes, he can bark at the clingy youngsters as much as he wants, tell them to go to hell, and behave in an unfriendly manner. Treating them not like an equal friend and colleague, but like an annoying mosquito that keeps buzzing over his ear and begs to be swatted with the palms of his hands.
Isaac can deny it all he wants. Except that the look in his dark, tarry eyes says otherwise.
Camilla is one of the few who have truly amazing insight and the ability to read the minds of others (not literally, or else she'd be in trouble with the Ministry for violating human rights by using magic). To guess at a glance what a person was thinking, what they were feeling, what emotion they were experiencing - all of this helped the talented witch find common ground with other mages and adventurers throughout the whole Republic. And it was this quality that became crucial in her selection for the most important role in the Castle Village - deciding who would pass through the barrier and set foot on the land of the largest community of the sword & magic world.
This woman could easily look into Isaac's eyes and read him like an open book, nothing gets past her.
The way Isaac's gaze lit up with genuine curiosity when Marlon and Magnus praised Farmer and all their accomplishments. The way his eyes filled with laughter when he heard another story that the daredevil Farmer had managed to get themself into. How Isaac had snickered lowly at the news that Farmer with all their bravery and courage were fighting monsters in the Crimson Baldlans, yet his dark eyes widened slightly with in a kind of pride in them and a desire to have a friendly duel in the future.
How his restless and pain-filled gaze never took his eyes off Farmer's body as they (with a smug smile, damn them!), wounded and with bloody clothes, lay on the dusty ground while Lance and Jadu tried to heal Farmer after the failed hunt for Apophis.
Isaac can fool everyone all he wants. He can even fool himself.
But Camilla knows better.

@nobody33333333!! I can't seem to find it, but you had a silly poll up the other day about fanart for S.O.S. (Which is a fic everyone should go read!!)
I cannot do art, so I've been really hesitant to try and make fanart for anyone's work (Even though I desperately wish I could, because y'all are amazing and thoroughly deserve it).
However, today I drew up some little sketches for what kind of stuffed bird I think Pedalian might have made for SQ, because I really love that detail :)
I hope you like them!
They're supposed to be kind of cartoony since they're stuffed animals, and I think these kinds of birds are good shapes/colours for a kid's toy. Also, I feel like Pedalian wouldn't just... make a stuffed animal that's a vague approximation of what might be bird shaped? He seems like he'd be more careful with the design, because honestly a lot of "bird" stuffed animals are ridiculous. But that's just me!
