When tim said lucy is different I was like hmm buddy are you sure? It's clearly not just a personal issue, nyla is very different from isabel too and still uc work ruined her life. I like that he wants to stay supportive but lucy better realize quickly what uc work does to a person and their partner

I really believe he believes it. And I believe it, too. Because I'm certain that there were many reasons why UC did to Isabel what it did. Ultimately, I think it just kind of shows that neither Isabel nor Nyla were with the right person. Because if they had been, they wouldn't have kept as many secrets from their partners. But I could be wrong.

And I think that's where the "Lucy is different" part comes in. Tim and Lucy are each others person. Lucy likes to talk things out. No, she couldn't share everything with Tim after an op, but she'd find a way to talk about the important things. The things he could help her with.

I've never been a fan of her going UC simply because of who she is as a person. But I could understand why she chose that in season 3. Now, things are VERY different for her. Not only did she miss out on Jackson's last few weeks of life because she was UC, Tamara has also become an even bigger part of her life. And now she's actually in a committed relationship with a guy she sees a future with. That's gotta make her think about what UC would mean not just for her, but for them. And I think it has.

To me, she didn't look all that convinced in that last scene. If you ignore Tim for a second and focus on Lucy, you can see that the wheels are turning in her head. Yes, she said she loves UC, but she already knows that Tim would be hurting, despite his "reassurance" that he would be okay. She's already thinking about what it could mean for them and their relationship. What it could mean for her to be gone for months. To not see him as much.

But I think as long as Tim isn't completely honest with her, and keeps being supportive, she won't make that decision. It'll probably take a traumatic experience or two, or an op to go completely sideways, or whatever, just something for her to truly see it, and for him to be truly honest with her. I know it'll probably hurt like a bit** but it'll be necessary to move that storyline forward.

I know they'll make it work, that there won't be a break up or even taking a break, because that wouldn't solve the problem. The only way to solve the problem is by talking about it. The only question now is whether that will happen this season or at the beginning of 6.

And honestly, I'd very much like to see Lucy thinking about another career path and choosing something different next season. It would be a very interesting storyline imo - having basically decided to go one way only to see "no, this isn't what I want" and choosing something else? Yeah, I'd love to see that. Because it would be such a strong and powerful storyline imo, to show that you can admit that something wasn't right for you. Or that you value a different aspect of your life more.

I don't mind her becoming a detective, at all. But I think I'd love to see her get on a similar path as Captain Andersen: a woman of color in a position of power in an otherwise male dominated job.

But we'll have to wait and see.

Hope I could provide a little more "insight" or whatever and that this made sense. My brain feels like mush now. Help. 😅

(I only just read this story/got into this fandom, so I don’t know if someone’s already done something like this, so please let me know if that’s the case!)

After reading “A Charmed Christmas” (right after reading “The Charm Offensive,” of course lol), this little bit popped into my head and just wouldn’t leave. This would be immediately following that:

After they get home, they’re tangled up in each other on the couch, just basking in the glow of their engagement for a little bit before they tell everyone.

And they both can’t stop looking at their own rings, and at each other’s rings.

Charlie voices that he’s already worrying about how he wants to keep the Red Vine ring forever, because realistically he knows he can’t, but he just loves it so much.

Dev sits quietly for a minute, clearly in thought, and then: “Well, what about one of those silicone rings that have become kind of a big thing more recently? Like, usually for people whose jobs are more physical or who lose their rings all the time? The silicone is reminiscent of the texture of the Red Vine, and they come in all sorts of colors, so you could definitely get a red one! So it would be like a permanent version of the Red Vine. Plus, that might honestly be better for you than a metal ring anyway, because you’re so active.”

And Charlie’s both thrilled to have a solution and in awe of Dev’s creativity and how quick he is with it: “That’s perfect! I love it. And I love you.” Either that or, as a less mushy and more funny version, this lol:

I'm showing the Third&Jo&Master era to my mum as well as rewathing it and Gosh do I love these three 🥺

Delgado!Master is certainly among my favorite Masters, second to only Missy, perhaps.

His dynamic with the Doctor is unparalled by any other incarnation of either of them (probably has something to do with Roger's and Jon's real life long time friendship) and his manners... It’s always fun to watch him.

Jo... My beloved Jo, I can’t stress enough how much I love her. She's certainly up there among my favorite classic companions. Probably, the most favorite of them all.

And the Third, my problematic child, my darling dandy, my space Bond wannabe, I love him fiercely, even though I have had my share of eye-rolling with him.

And, of course, the dynamics between the three of them are... 😘👌 I don’t know how else to describe them.

dreamcatcher really is that group for me

like i love rock and i don't know and tbh idc if it's valid or not to be introduced to rock by dreamcatcher (just worried bout pretentious rock fans) but anyways, i love their sound. all their title tracks just make me so happy. you and i, good night, rose blue. their b-sides that i would die for. wake up, break the wall, tension. their chiller b-sides that are equally as good. alldaylong, whistle, jazz bar, wonderland, trust me. hell, they even got me to love ballads (polaris i'm looking at you). ANYWAYS what I'm trying to say is that this group has everything.

Girlies could really sing about chasing someone in their dreams and being obsessed and I would still go "yes exactly, they did everything right". Their lyrics mean a lot to me, even if they didn't write all of them.

Also the members, i love each and every one of them. Even if I'm fixated on another group or smth, I always just come back around to dc. They all just seem so genuine and just seem to love what they do, as a group and their solos. I'm glad they're in a company that believes in them. And I'm glad that they just keep going and going. They changed their sound up a bit with Scream, you have to admit that, but it's still dreamcatcher. Sometimes I listen to Reason and Chase Me back to back and I just sob lol. They've come so far. I hope they keep on going further.

The way they talk about each other makes me think that yes, it really is just the seven of them.

Anyways let me list some of my favourite dc lyrics because I'm feeling much feelings about them right now and also why not :D
