Hello! I was wondering if you did ships- other than with the MC, if so may I request a Yooseven oneshot- full of fluff! Or even just headcanons of they’re relationship! Thank you! ^^
While I'm not much of a shipper when it comes to mm gang, it's always fun for me to try and imagine how their dynamic would change with romantic context! Yooseven is definitely one of my favorite pairs in the fandom, second to Vumin. Their dynamic is already so wholesome and entertaining to watch! Here are some of my personal headcanons for these two in a relationship :3
TW for alcohol mention!
• Weirdly enough, it is Yoosung who is on the protective side of their relationship. This became the case between them only after he learned the whole truth about Saeyoung's past and what he had to go through in order to get to where he is now. And, well, once he comes to know all about his troubled childhood and just how much he suffered throughout his lifetime... Yoosung is determined to ensure Saeyoung's happiness at whatever cost. He will fight tooth and nail for him, refusing to back down in the face of danger. After all, it is a known fact that Yoosung is much braver than he may seem!
• In his point of view, Saeyoung has suffered more than enough now. He has been sacrificing his well-being in order to ensur happiness for his loved ones for far too long now. It's time for someone to turn the tables on him and let him feel protected and cared for, for once in his life! Because Saeyoung has always been by his side, by everyone's side... He needs to know just how loved and cherished he truly is.
• In the beginning, Saeyoung will often become frustrated by Yoosung acting all protective over him. It's... an unfamiliar territory for him. To be treated like this. At first, he will inevitably act out at him at times and refuse any help coming his way, however small it may be. But, given some time (and therapy) he comes to accept this feeling of giving up control to someone he trusts and loves, little by little. His heart flutters any time Yoosung defends him in the chatroom or outside of it, regardless of how small the issue may be. Yoosung can demand extra pickles for him in their Mcdonald's drive-through and his heart would melt.
• He may or may not stage some silly accidents down the line, just to feel like a princess being saved by her prince charming.
• Yoosung stops drinking all together thanks to Saeyoung! Once he learns how uncomfortable alcohol makes him, he decides to drop his drinking, both for Saeyoung's sake, as well as his own. This also made him look back on all of his differing experiences with alcohol, eventually coming to the conclusion, that his drinking did not help much with his mental health. On the contrary, drinking only made him feel more miserable with himself, making him cry himself to sleep with his grief over Rika consuming him.
• Saeyoung's devotion to his brother made Yoosung realize that he needs to prioritize what he has right now, instead of living in the past. A part of him felt like... He was making things right by Rika by helping Saeyoung rescue Saeran. Well, at least until he learned the truth about Saeran's initiation into the cult.
• Believe it or not, their idea of an ideal family life is pretty similar! Both of them are more than happy to spend their days just lazing around inside of the bunker: Yoosung taking care of the chores around the house, and Saeyoung organizing their leisure. It's a fair trade, really. Sometimes they do change stuff around, but, alas, it often ends in complete disaster, as Saeyoung just cannot bring himself to follow the recipe or focus on cleaning alone. If they do decide to create some chaos around the house, it'll be whenever Saeran isn't around to suffer through it.
• We all know that Yoosung is a sucker for enjoying a good romance. But, what about Saeyoung? Well, I'll be happy to inform you that Yoosung has successfully managed to bring out the more sappier side of the older twin. Granted, he wouldn't go along with it right away. Saeyoung would often make stupid jokes or question specific decisions made by the characters, but give him some time, and he's going to be as invested in the unfolding story as he was with the last science-fiction series he finished.
• Yoosung's emotional side makes Saeyoung feel more comfortable showing his own weakness and shedding a few tears during an emotional scene, before brushing his tears away and sneaking a kiss on his partner's cheek. While Saeyoung might not be as romantic as Yoosung is, that does not mean he's not willing to try and arrange something out of this world, if he knows that that's what his boyfriend often daydreams about. He's all about making dreams come true! And what better way to gain some inspiration than by watching some tear jerking romance while cuddling and munching down on delicious snacks?
• Yoosung, on the other hand, enjoys making Saeyoung slow down and enjoy the moment. The dates that he plans for them are often peaceful and slow-paced: be it a walk on the beach or preparing a tasty picnic under the night sky his partner loves so dearly. It's a nice balance of excitement and peace that keeps them both as happy and fulfilled as they can be.
• They are the nerdiest couple around. Video games, movies, anime, manga, animation series - they will binge them all. Not to mention cosplay. Oh, boy, the cosplay... Once Saeyoung manages to make Yoosung try it once, there's no stopping what comes next. They are nerds, and they are not ashamed to show it!
• One of Saeyoung's favorite things is surprising Yoosung with a crushing hug from behind, practically lifting him off of the ground (and sometimes even twirling him around the room if he's feeling especially giddy). He can and will carry Yoosung around whenever he feels like it. Down the stairs, up the stairs, to the kitchen, to the garage - it doesn't matter. Definitely loves to tease him and loudly announce just how strong he is, simply because this is the easiest way to make Yoosung blush and stutter over his own words.
• On the other hand, Yoosung has a knack for giving compliments, which is a neat combo, considering just how weak Saeyoung is to praise. Really, he can take one look at his boyfriend, smile, and state how beautiful his eyes look in this light, and Saeyoung is done for. All of his bravado is out the window with one single genuine compliment, turning him into a blushy blabbering mess. With time, Yoosung just stops trying to make sense of his nervous ramblings, simply chuckling in response, before shutting his adorable boyfriend up with a tender kiss to his lips. Yes, Yoosung is much more straightforward with his affections!
• Pet names are... a weird thing with these two. See, you have Saeyoung, leaning his head onto Yoosungs shoulder, gazing lovingly into his eyes, before calling him 'his shmoopy' with utmost confidence in his voice, to which his partner will respond by addressing him with a lighthearted 'darling'. Listening to them flirt will give you a whiplash. They are both ridiculous and sickly sweet at the same time, much to the distress of everyone bearing witness to this confusing display in the chatroom.
• Saeyoung helps Yoosung experiment with his style! Be it his clothes, hair, or even nails and makeup - Saeyoung is more than excited to aid his advice on it all. It makes him so very happy to see Yoosung slowly but surely discovering who he is through self-expression... And it makes him feel more inspired to try something new himself! Really, these two are more fashionable than you may think.
• Yoosung's family basically adopts Saeyoung once they can be sure that they are safe enough to meet each other properly. Yoosung's mother adores him with all her heart and will go into full 'caring parent' mode whenever they decide to visit. They don't know all of the details, but the do know he had a troubled childhood... Which is why Yoosung's family is so determined to make both Saeyoung and Saeran feel as welcomed as possible. It's going to take time for both of the twins to feel more or less comfortable being taken care of in such an unfamiliar way, but nobody is rushing them to act a certain way. And, if someone does mess up, Yoosung is quick to take notice of the problem and bring it up the next time he sees the opportunity to do so.

📝: I already answered this but to keep it brief I'm Sari's governess and private tutor who moonlights as a superhero named Streetheart. I exists mainly so the Autobots can have another girl and one who isn't just used for a male characters backstory drama (cough Blackarachnia for Optimus and sentinel cough cough arcee for ratchet's)
👯 As much I hate to admit it: Blackarachnia. We're both the sole major female member of our main factions. We're both organic and have romantic attraction towards Optimus; involved in STEM and make our own inventions. We both have purple in our color palettes. We're even black (Arachnia's VA). This is actually a source of conflict because in a lot of ways I remind Optimus of Elita which is WHY he was afraid of admitting his feelings until we talk it out. But unlike Arachnia I try to improve my lot in life instead of dumping all the blame on one person.
🏷 Errr I think Pink Firetruck or Optnia. JuniaPrime? I dunno. I was thinking AxeHeart bc of his weapon and my main symbol
☕; i think the most common would be the reverse aus where optimus is a human and I'm the autobot elite guard dropout; or stories where i become techno-organic ensuring I get to live immortal alongside Optimus. OR a disney au where he's hercules and I'm megara, or he's the "beast" and I'm the beauty (his beast form is Arachnus or BW Megatron). There's be quite a good fics where we talk about Archa 7; Megatron suddenly in love with me and a triangle ensues, or Optimus meets my family
🛌: Lady and Knight, Battle Couple, Huge Guy Tiny Girl, Because You Were Nice To Me, Birds Of A Feather, Defrosting Ice Queen, Violently Protective Girlfriend, Hurt and Comfort, Coffee Shop
💘: People would love the ship because I genuinely see Optimus as a person; not a trophy or a a pest. I have no qualms with standing up to Blackarachnia and Sentinel to defend Optimus so that also endears viewers. And of course the two people who help each other learn they are not mistakes and are worthy of love is just 💋 MWAH. and a woman who isn't "conventional" gets to be the main love interest. On the other hand people would hate it because they don't find TF x Human ships (well ANY human) appealing; that it's generic and boring; or that they simply prefer other ships. I know there be debates on why the one black girl gets sidelined from her own love story to pair Optimus with his worse enemies. Trust I have witnessed enough misogynoir BS to know that could be a real thing.
🙈 Fluffy because it's just two people who truly care for each other and the awkward dorky moments giving way to tender deeper moments. At the same time it be called problematic due to me being a human and we all know how this fandom feels about humans 🙃
🎞: there be a lot but i think the scenes in season 1 finale when my oc and optimus make amends after a series of failures; but also any scene where i put arachnia and Sentinel in their place if they try their shit. Or scenes where me and optimus are together exploring michigan and i teach him about earth and help him get a hobby outside heroics.
💌: definitely the Mom and Dad. But differently because I'd be the fun, spunky headstrong one and Optimus would be the sensible one trying to reel me in XD . I guess some would only focus on me being a dumbass despite there other times where I have to play the sensible wise one when Optimus gets anxiety attacks or a bit too into his rivalry with sentinel. Biggest misconception is that I ALWAYS agree with what Optimus says... That's not true. We have our share of disagreements and rough spots. We even have a falling out in the s1 finale. Now watch as Twitter spends a whole month writing thinkpieces about how I am a bad girlfriend.
👀: I guess my ship would be used as an example of how to write a good interspecies romance, especially in context of the transformers. Or the makings of a healthy relationship.

when i first realised i was Bisexual™ i became obsessed with all these online communities for bisexuality, and v often i’d come across a bi man saying “i really want to have sex with a guy but i can’t imagine a ltr with one”. or a bi woman essentially saying the same thing.
and what was so, so terribly sad and frustrating was that the replies would usually be: ur bisexuality is valid ❤️ being bi doesn’t mean being equally attracted to men and women ❤️ you’re still part of the lgbtq community even if you’re a man dating a woman/woman dating a man [to be clear, i do believe in the last 2 positions but not the purpose they are being invoked for…]
and people would often bring up this idea of a ‘split attraction model’ [which i have seen in discussions of asexualité and don’t necessarily disagree w in that context]…where romantic and sexual attraction are different and so it’s totally possible to be sexually attracted to the same gender but never romantically attracted; therefore being bisexual but preferring heterosexual partnership was all ‘valid’ and strongly affirmed
anyways for ages and ages i thought about making an angry alt account to say the following but i never did:
WHY was it that it was almost always MEN saying they couldn’t be romantically attracted and truly date MEN even though they wanted to sleep with them, or WOMEN saying they could never really truly be with other WOMEN but sleeping with them seemed cool and fun? is there a WORD for this kind of thing? or TWO WORDS? like HETERONORMATIVITY or INTERNALIZED HOMOPHOBIA maybe
bc it was really truly rare to see this kind of post where a man was going: idk i can’t see myself romantically with a woman, it’s only men for me. or a woman going oh, no, i only want to partner with women long-term even if i’m attracted to and want to sleep with men (although sometimes you’d get those and sometimes it would be due to political fatigue with the patriarchy, which i empathise with although i do not feel the same). like. it was mostly people saying that opposite gender ltrs were off the table for them. which was so INTERESTING. what do we call this???
i wanted to say: isn’t it, well, WEIRD and a bit UNCOOL if you really think about it to go into an lgbtq space and say that you see homosexual relationships as purely about the sex and not containing the possibility for genuine long-term partnership, emotional interdependence, and care? does it not seem a bit idk OBJECTIFYING to treat a whole swath of people you are attracted to as people to have sex with but nothing more? being sexually attracted to someone does not make it impossible for you to treat them as means to an end, as useful objects for a fantasy, but not people
and what was going on with all the VALIDATION that relied on particular true and imo defensible arguments (that bi people are not ‘better’ bi people for being in a homosexual vs heterosexual relationship; that bisexuality can mean 90% of the time you have classically heterosexual relationships and attractions, you don’t need to split your affections perfectly evenly to be bisexual) to assert something so instinctively UNTRUE to me: that totally and definitively precluding the possibility for being in LOVE with another man (as a man) or another woman (as a woman) is still a VALID and positive and completely acceptable way to be bisexual? i just don’t understand, on a very basic level, how someone could decide that—unless maybe they are being INFLUENCED by COMPULSORY HETEROSEXUALITY and HETERONORMATIVITY into an overly rigid view of what love can look like?
ultimately i think it would feel less surreal and hurtful and weird if these kinds of beliefs were being articulated outside of lgbtq communities, like by OTHER PEOPLE who are less likely to GET IT (like i would expect someone homophobic to believe that bisexual people, whatever their sexual inclinations, should ultimately end up in a nice inoffensive heterosexual relationship, that would be more correct and appropriate)…but truly i felt so sad to see other bisexual people express this specific bias which for every individual seemed to be purely PERSONAL, just an INDIVIDUAL PREFERENCE, and yet in aggregate their preferences seemed to conform so well to heteronormative beliefs about what love can look like and what a partnership can look like.
i just! didn’t get it! and now that i’m thinking of it again i still don’t understand! i feel like i’m being gaslit when i log onto my little bisexuality forums and people are not only articulating this whole ‘as a woman i will only sleep with women but want to end up with a man’ thing without shame—and! more than that!—saying that it’s gatekeeping or policing someone’s sexuality to say that this is perhaps homophobic or perhaps worth additional scrutiny, at the very least. i have yet to find an explanation for all this that does not feel like an excuse for an insidious and unexamined inner belief.
having some identity position does not mean any theorising you then do about that identity is valid, or that any beliefs you have about others and your relationship to others is de facto valid. i did not understand and did not agree w the idea that any way in which someone’s bisexuality naturally expressed itself (‘naturally’, as in: in a heteronormative sadly-still-sometimes homophobic environment, where bisexuality esp for women is depicted pornographically all the time and romantically…almost never) was ‘valid’, and needed to be affirmed and defended as ‘valid’…
in summary: i’m a hater and a gatekeeper and i had to stop reading many of those communities. it was either that or threesome discourse…

hi im asking u this bc u seem to be bee duo enthusiast so
ive been calling c! beeduos relationship platonic because i thought that was what their cc’s said, and i thought they had said that they were uncomfortable with ppl shipping the characters. But ive seen a lot of posts that say their relationship is canonically romantic? and i absolutely do not want to come across as homophobic by watering down a mlm relationship to just friends because that happens so much in media so.
what is the canon state of their relationship / ur opinions on the platonic thibg

aw it’s totally fine, im flattered you asked me about this!
let me put it simply: it’s a whole mess, lol.
first im going to talk about what’s happened fandom-wide that caused differing opinions, and then i’ll explain my own opinion/interpretation. :]
(this got really fucking long im so sorry)
ranboo and tubbo initially proclaimed the relationship was romantic, specifically in argument with the wiki editors who had set it as platonic by default. (you can see this in the vod where they decide they’re canonically married�� it’s very funny. chat tells them the marriage is already on the wiki, they check, tubbo is jokingly offended that it says platonic and asks if he needs to up the romance).
tubbo also makes jokes about adultry, which sort of implies the relationship is not necessarily a platonic one.
(theres definetly more in that stream alone but it’s been a long time since i watched it so i don’t remember a lot of it.)
the wiki, because of this, suffers from going back and forth on platonic and romantic, seemingly unsure where the joke ends and the canon begins, or if its canonically a joke! a mess, as you can already tell.
this gets more complicated as the marriage bit goes on: outsiders, such as phil and scott, both at one point say “platonic marriage”, which then ranboo and tubbo agree with. however, when chat asks them if they’re platonic, they say the opposite. so there is a lot of confusion there.
there’s also the difficulty of being able to tell streamers and characters apart. ranboo and tubbo both don’t like being shipped irl, and that’s their boundaries that shouldn’t be crossed. (they’re also minors, but tbh when they’re 18 in a year i will still be following their boundaries regardless of their legal age).
due to people not wanting to be accused of minor shipping, they started adding the platonic tone indicator to most of their drawings— basically a way of saying “no homo”. meanwhile, tubbo frequently on stream flirts with ranboo and makes quite a bit of nsfw comments towards him that are frankly hilarious.
this goes on for a while with nobody really sure what’s canon, but a lot of people assuming it’s probably platonic, until: the drama of the mods night. a few mods dmed all the wiki editors telling them ranboo wanted his canon character relationship officially set to platonic.
unfortunately for those mods; the very same day, a few hours later, ranboo on stream makes fun of puffy delivering him and tubbo “friendship flowers”. because, and i quote, “bruh. we’re literally married. this must be how the ancient greeks felt.”
in case you don’t know, the internet often jokes about how historians will call ancient greeks ‘very good friends’ when they are quite obviously gay. so in this context, ranboo is joking that people will call him and c!tubbo, who are married, “close friends”, when he doesn’t think they are.
basically, ranboo canonized romantic bee duo, the very same day the mods told everyone he’d wanted a platonic one.
chaos and drama immediately erupted everywhere. on tumblr, we were talking about how weird it was of his mods to do something like that without asking him first. we ALSO talked about how weird it was of them to assume that ranboo can’t make his own decisions, or assume teenagers cannot be in relationships without it being sexual. twitter did the same thing but in the opposite direction: called ranboo mods homophobic, or said they were mad ranboo felt pressured into making a romantic relationship canon ‘just so people could have mlm rep.’
i dont want to go into detail about the drama that happened that night because apparently official people follow me and i dont want to stir it up or have them come “clarify” things. im just saying what we talked about.
ranboo in typical ranboo fashion apologized quickly and seriously. he was deeply sorry for possibly offending anyone with how he’d portrayed his rp relationship with tubbo, and he also assured everyone the mod thing was just a miscommunication.
he said he would talk to tubbo and they’d decide once and for all whether it was platonic or romantic, and then announce so everyone would know.
it’s now been a few months and we've had no word from them on that development. we still have no clue.

now, here’s my opinion:
i want to take ranboos word for it that it was a miscommunication with his mods, but... we had it on good authority from people on the wiki team and people in the discord with the mods that (while it was happening) they were really going after the wiki admins, and also made some weird comments about it. that combined with the way ranboo seemingly had no clue (considering he canonized their romance that very same day).... it’s very. sus of the mods.
then there’s the canon we’ve got since then. although occasionally adults in the room have called it a “platonic marriage” and tubbo once (back when it first started) called it a “plankton tectonic” marriage, in roleplay it’s been... kind of not that. tubbo and ranboo make nsfw jokes about each other in character, and their characters also share a master bedroom and bed in the mansion. there's also the way c!tommy really thinks it’s a romance between them as well, and they agree with and play off that— for instance confirming that they “fell in love” when he asked, or ranboo confirming that they “make out on occasion”.
people will still put platonic on their art and posts, imo, because they’re worried about breaking ranboo and tubbo’s irl boundaries by looking like they ship them. or even just being accused of shipping real life minors. and that’s a valid fear to have.
the thing is though: c!bee duo are not cc!bee duo. they’re roleplay characters. cc!bee duo are not okay with being shipped, but they made their characters get canonically married, and call each other “husbands”. so it’s okay to write the word “husband” in your comic without adding “platonic” to it, i promise.
telling the ccs that their characters have to be platonic is... weird. it comes off as not only babying them, but also as saying teens can’t date without it being gross. which isn’t true.
(this is why seeing people overuse “platonic husband” so much bothers me. like, they ARE husbands. you can just say it. what are you trying to hide...?)

do i think they’re canonically romantic? ehh, its likely. it’s still okay to interpret them as platonic, because again, it’s hard to tell where jokes end and roleplay begins. like, maybe it’s jokes in the rp too, and c!bee duo are just friends. friends can and should be allowed to make jokes like that with each other! aro & ace marriages exist!
or, maybe it’s actually part of the rp, and they’re very much romantic. we don’t know!
some people say they could be a qpr (queerplatonic romance), which i could see. (a qpr is a relationship that fluctuates between, or can’t quite be sorted into, “romantic” and “platonic”. people in a qpr can do romantic things while having platonic feelings for each other). in my opinion this is a very valid interpretation as well!

its likely, but you can still interpret them however you like!
should i put /p on bee duo content?
ehhh? i find it annoying when it’s overused (as do others), but if you’re worried you can. its up to preference. putting it too much is weird though
should i put /p on things cc! bee duo do?
no. you’re not the one saying it so you can’t decide the tone tags for that. imagine you said something to your friend and a random stranger came up and was like “haha but that was /p right...?”
can i ship c!bee duo?
mmm. i’m not sure on this one. they are canonically married and very flirtatious, but the ccs don’t like being shipped and they’re close enough to being the ccs that actively shipping might be against boundaries.
can i treat c!bee duo as romantic?
yes. literally just don’t be weird about it. it’s not that hard! you can understand that two characters are husbands without making it weird
here’s the most important thing: boundaries. cc bee duo still haven’t told us what their preferences and canon is about this whole thing.
right now, i am assuming based on what they already show us they’re comfortable with, but! the second they give us any more info! all these opinions will change!
i am only going off what they do. i would never want to cross boundaries at all. i just wish they would make theirs a little more clear.

I live for this stupid trope of Fight Between Friends Leads To Heated Make-out (because they’ve been dancing around their feelings for each other. Can we get that for each of the bayverse guys?

"Can't you take things seriously for two seconds y/n?" Leo yelled at you as you both entered the lair together.
"I'm sorry I can't be a prude 24/7 like you can." You respond heated. You had just gotten a little too playful while on patrol. It was all in good fun and usually he would joke around back at least a little. You didn't get what the big deal was this time.
"Don't even result to low insults. I shouldn't even have brought you, but wrong of me to think you could handle something as easy as patrol! That foot soldier could've gone home with your head!" Okay, maybe there was a reason he was a little more heated then usual. But it's not like you got hurt.
"It doesn't matter now. I'm fine. Just drop it." You turn around to find him inches away.
"You might not have been. If I wasn't watching you would've been dead. You need to get your head out of the clouds and pay attention to your surroundings!" He's towering above you now, looking you in the eyes as he rants. You try to back away but he just matches your movements.
"Oh my god, I'm not one of your brothers! I don't need a lecture! I wouldn't have even been in a situation where foot soldiers would be after me unless you were there, so why do I need to defend myself!" You continue backing up until your back hits the table.
"Are you saying we shouldn't be friends? Because maybe you're right! I am just a mutant freak right? Just a bore, a prude, a monster? What do you gain from being friends with me?" He spat. He retreated a little, hearing the hurt in his voice. You definitely stuck a cord.
"No, no Leo. I didn't mean it like that. I-" You sigh placing your hand on his jaw, "You're my favorite person on the planet, my best friend. I couldn't imagine a world without you dumbass. Don't be a cunt and take my words out of context because I didn't mean that."
From the look on his face you assumed he'd retort with an insult or another pity party but instead he grabbed your face in both hands. He looked you in the eyes before smashing his lips into yours. You were caught off guard at first but quickly grabbed his face and kissed him back.
He lifted you onto to table as he kept his lips interlocked with yours. Slowly you started laying yourself vertically. He noticed things were started to get heated and seperated himself from you.
"Do you . . uhhh. Would you like to take this into my room?"

It wasn't supposed to turn into an argument. It wasn't supposed to turn into the "trauma olympics". You guys were just trying to relate to each other and talk about your problems like usual.
"Yer so selfish for sayin that ya know? You get to be up there, see people, do things, not having to worry about people seeing you and turning away screaming. Ya know what it feels like for people to see you and be terrified." Raph yelled at you from his bench. You started walking towards him as you defended yourself.
"I'm not saying that isn't hard. I could never fully understand how you feel. I'm just saying you have no idea what it's like up there. People are shitty. You have no idea what it's like not being a cis white straight man up there. I'd rather get to be in hiding with a wonderful family like you!" You got closer to him, like the closer you got the more he would comprehend your thought process.
"Ya I know people are shitty. I get to see it from the outside perspective! I've seen it all! I don't get to save everyone but Im expected to! That's so much weight on your shoulders, crime is happening everywhere and sometimes I can't even do the one thing I'm good for!" At this point he's just ranting angrily and you were going to do the same. Now your standing above him, just looking down at him barely.
"When you see it from the outside you don't feel the full affects. You can't throw a pity party about bad things happening to people because you think it's your 'duty' to save them. What if they have a family? What if they don't. This world is so shitty to be in when you have no one." You're on the verge of tears now, but it looks like he has been for awhile, "I have no one in New York. I miss my family. I miss having a troop of friends to help defend me from bullies or creeps."
He reaches up to you and pulls you into his lap.
"Hey bitch what about me." His voice sounds angry but his eyes look sorrowful. He brushes the hair out of your face, "You have me. I'll beat the shit outta anyone who tries to mess with you."
You don't even bother answering, instead you force you lips into his. He was being kinda romantic but he didn't expect this. Being too scared to seem shy about it, Raph grabs you and lays you on the bench, hovering himself over you. You push him back a little and look at him.
"So are we gonna do it on this bench or should we go to your bed." You giggled.

"So sometimes all I am is your smart friend and sometimes I'm not smart enough? Is that it?" Donnie asked you as you turned away from him in the chair designated for you in his lab.
"No that's not why I didn't ask you to look at it. There was shit on that computer I didn't want you seeing." You responded.
"What like porn? Y/n we talk about porn all the time I don't care. And I already know all your personal information, we're best friends and you don't trust me enough?" You can't see him but it sounds like he's about to cry.
"It's just a dumb computer. So I got a dumb computer guy to fix it. It's not a big deal."
"Why are you avoiding my questions? What are you hiding? You're acting weird." He turned you in your chair. You had your knees in your chest and your face in your knees hiding yourself from him.
"I didn't want to bother you. I want to be the one person who doesn't have you constantly fix their problems." You said from under your arms.
"Y/n, you're the one person who's problems I'll always have time for." He uncrossed your arms and picked your face up out of it's hiding place, "Why are you so concerned about me finding your problems inconvenient?"
"Im- I'm not I guess. I just didn't want to bother you." You tried to avoid his gaze but he was looking you in the eyes and held your face towards his, "I know I could've gone to you, you just deserved a break from me. From everything to be honest."
"I never, ever want a break from you." Donnie tightens his grip on you as he speaks and his voice is shaking.
"Wha-?" Before you have time to respond he has his lips on yours. You kiss him back before he pulls away.
"I'm sorry I should've asked. Was that okay?" Donnie questioned as he moved his hands down to your shoulders. You look at him confused and a little angry that he pulled away. After moment of no one saying anything you pulled him in for another kiss. His lips moved at the same pace as yours as he kept moving his hands lower and lower until they were at your hips.
"Dude are you and y/n still mad at each other?" Mikey says busting into the lab, "Ohhhh obviously not. Okay I'll leave you two be, use protection!"

Usually Mikey doesn't get mad, but this time he seemed really upset. He's looking at you with so much rage you're almost scared he might set on fire. What was extremely unsettling is that it was your dazzling, joyful best friend looking at you like this. But he deserved the little rant you gave him. Most of it wasn't directed towards him, it was about his brothers. They had all sent you past your breaking point.
"So you hate all of us." He said angrily, "Donnie is a know-it-all? Leo thinks he's the boss of you when he's not? I'm too clingy? And you just straight up hate Raph? No explanation you just hate him?"
"No, no. That's not what I meant I'm just in a bad mood, I've had a bad day." You try to calm him down.
"No that's what you said. You said and I quote, 'And don't get me started on Raph I fucking hate him.'" Mikey is starting to move away from where you're sitting on his bed, "If you hate us don't come here. Don't sit here and insult us!" He was starting to sound more sad than angry now.
"Look what I said about Donnie, Leo, and you were just grievances. I- it just all built up and I needed to let it out but I didn't mean them."
"I could understand that. But what about Raph? Why do you hate him?"
"Hate was a strong word to use. I don't hate him I just hate the way he acts. I hate the way he treats you sometimes." Since he's seemed to calm down you start shuffling towards him and put your hand on his shoulder.
"What's wrong with the way he treats me?" Mikey looked down at you.
"Well I just don't like the way he yells at you or insults you. And sometimes he'll hit you for no reason. I know you can take it and all but I still worry. I want you to be happy and I don't know, I worry about you."
"Thanks for thinking about me." Mikey hunched over so you were face level, "I worry about you too ya know."
"You do?"
"Of course Angelcakes." He hadn't called you that nickname since you first met, as soon as you became friends he started treating you like a bro. He bent over to you and gave you a quick peck. After he pulled away no one said anything so you pulled him back in and kisses him, like really kissed him this time. He kissed you back and before you knew it he had you flipped over on your back. He's hovering over you and you're making out now. He starts kissing your neck before pulling away.
"Raph's gonna get a kick outta this."

Adrien can't remember what happened the day before but after looking around and analysing his clues he has come to the conclusion that A: This is not the Coldwell mansion and B: HOLY SHIT why the FUCK are YOU sleeping next to them?-
Normally they tend to not care for who is sleeping next to them, just assuming that the warmth that comes from the body next to them is just another toy- Someone who is worth enough to sleep with them, but also not high enough in their standards to be considered a romantic partner.
But you?? You're not just a mere toy to them, you fool.
It's obvious that you two spent the night together in someone else's house, probably a friend of the twins. This confuses Adrien to no end, how were even invited to the party in the first place?? How did a loser like you get in here and how did a loser like you slept with him- YOU SLEPT WITH HIM, OH MY GOD-
Did you two… If you two really did fuck then why can't he remember anything?? This was supposed to be the most important memory in the moment yet he can't recall how you two ended up like this.
It's not his imagination either, there seems to be enough proof to support that you two did something together, but he can't tell how far it went- He wishes he could remember how it was.
Your body, naked next to him- Love bites that seem to be his on doing (he fucking hopes it's his on, or we're going to have a problem-), there doesn't seem to be any other marks- It wasn't rough and ruthless like he normally is with you, well, outside this scenario. If you wake up right now, you'll see the most confusing mixture of feelings into one single expression: fear, lost, yet an look of pure wonder- The scene before him is beautiful but the fact that only a couple of moments seem to play in his head makes him feel lost and fearful of what you might think of him.
Right now he feels so vulnerable, regretful that he couldn't have done this sooner- Sounds of last night echo through his mind. No one entered in this room except you two, and it's still really early in the morning so he can just go back and enjoy this moment- After all, what could be the best way to celebrate this moment if not by savouring his victory?
He finally got you by his side in the most intimate way possible and finally you can see that you belong to him- He won. He finally won...

Things I loved about In the Heights
-The sounds of the city are part of the music of the opening song
-The frame story is the only way this story should be told; the story only works if it shows the results of Usnavi's decision to stay
-Anthony and Lin shaking hands
-Yay to random mixed race couple asking for directions
-“I hope you’re writing this down I’m gonna test you later” only makes sense with kids
-Showing different residents of Washington Heights provides scale
-I’m not sure about the decision to cut Camila, but if it means less Nina drama, then I love it
-I love how Usnavi has his friends’ orders all ready to go
-LOVE how Usnavi announces Benny’s entrance
-Everything about Vanessa in this movie is perfect=> she’s given so much more depth, her beauty is downplayed, she’s kind of a nerd, but has a beautiful smile
-Nina’s heels=> metaphor for her reaching for the stars
-I love the actress that plays Nina; she’s the right age and her singing voice is so sweet

-Benny’s reactions to Vanessa dancing at the club are hilarious

-Nina is always smiling and laughing at the things going on around her; not as self centered
-Nina and Benny dancing at the club=> all of the yeses

-Sonny came to Usnavi instead of being with his dad during the blackout; his real family
-Abuela’s smile as she looks at her family while reflecting on her childhood is the most beautiful thing there will ever be
-Paciencia y Fe as a dream sequence is how it was meant to be
-The transition on the subway from reality to memory
-Paciencia y Fe is a mixture of cultures; like Abuela’s memories
-“Wide awake”=> stepping off the subway
-The same actress played Abuela on Broadway and in the movie
-Abuela may be in a musical, but she’s still an old woman

-Calor means heat in Spanish but in English it sounds like color

There's a certain intensity to Fukuzawa's love style. He's an individual firm in his beliefs and steadfast in the principles essential to him; naturally that passion extends, quite strongly, to one of the most important people in his life: you. Fukuzawa is not one for shallow infatuations. 
To have his heart means, through time and trials, you have proven yourself a dependable and faithful partner. As such, there is nothing insincere or trifle about his love for you: Fukuzawa does nothing by halves. Position considered, there are often more important things for him to attend to than leisure activities. 
Because of this, on occasion, the extent of your interactions are a walk through Yokohama at sunrise or discussing current affairs over tea. It's not that he's unintelligent, but rather that his knowledge of certain situations is more likely to come from secondhand sources rather than his own experiences. And when it comes to something he has little experience in, Poe would rather do it as it's ‘usually’ done; problematic if its based on a cheesy or unreliable source.
Watch his expression devolve into defeat if you take one look around the room and explain... well, you don't eat that kind of chocolate, the placement of those candles looks questionable at best, and honestly, people really don't recite serenades outside of Shakespeare or harlequin romances...
Even if the delivery ends up being just a little off, his heart is always in the right place. He's willing to recreate your favorite romantic scene from a movie or book you enjoy, down to minor elements like the engraving on the end table or color of the frames flanking the wall portraits. 
If there's one upside to him being a writer and mystery-lover, it's knowing both how to set a scene and the possession of an above average attention to detail. He's got both the time and resources to invest in crafting such an experience.
Despite some of his more unusual qualities and fixations, Poe can be a rather conventional partner. If it's a night planned in advance, dinner someplace secluded is a given, complete with a gift or token of appreciation. 
Poe's quite willing to please, both inside and outside the bedroom. If there's anything in particular you want him to do, you only need ask. He might express reservations, but he isn't likely to reject a request coming from someone he loves.
Poe has a bit of a low tolerance for provocative stuff. It's not that he hates it, but enjoying something and being used to it aren't mutually exclusive. Indirect approaches are more disarming: wear a shirt with a button or two conveniently misplaced, or have a discussion that seems just a little more suggestive than usual. 
Something that gets his attention: layers. Instead of going straight for the tantalizing getups, do the reverse and pick something with pieces to shed. As the day gets on into the evening and your attire falls more and more into racy territory, he'll find himself getting offly warm under the collar. Anticipation is part of the fun, after all, and a slow build up has a particular way of getting him antsy long before the deed is even done.
Poe's not even too used to hearing his own voice in a normal context, so he's definitely not one to be very vocal in bed. He’s probably imagining he’ll sound stupid panting in your ear, so consciously muffled noises should be your expectation, unless he slips up. 
Oral is particularly good for this reason: he’ll find it harder to restrain himself, and the angle provides you an excellent view for observing how flushed and breathless he is, and the facial expressions he's surely doing a poor poor job of managing. One thing Poe happens to enjoy, however: your voice, whether that be sounds of pleasure or gasps or mutters or merely reading a book out loud around him. 
His name said in an admiring tone does things to him. Want to make his night? A well-timed compliment works wonders, and while his desire to be recognized isn't quite at praise kink levels, a little acknowledgement goes a long way. Tell him he's doing a great job or how wonderful it feels during, or talk about how lovely of an evening it was afterward-- and watch him melt just a little.

Memories of 2020 - Initial asks and a small discussion
*cracks knuckles* Here we go.
If any of you have spent any amount of time today on any ARMY sns platform, I’m sure you’ve seen the mess which, as seasoned ARMY, I can tell you was the exact same mess we see...every single time. I can’t particularly say I’m surprised by any of it, especially when watching the entire process, as in the first clips hitting the TL and then the rest slowly following suit like a flood building steadily as the hours went by.

I’m pleased to report it wasn’t actually as bad as I expected, though now that I’m typing this I probably jinxed my own luck and the flood of asks will come soon enough, but maybe not. I’m holding on to the latter.
Based on the cycle in which these things happen every time, as in that the first clips that hit the ARMY spaces are Xkook ones, followed by vmin and other ships, and lastly more OT7 content, I expected our asks to go haywire after that clip, you know which one I mean. But we’ve only gotten two (?) about it, kind of, so I guess most people understood that it was just for laughs and nothing serious that anyone would have to get insecure over.
From anon: Sigh. This is my first memories of bts as army and i'm already tired of how all of twitter seems to be about 1 j*/k*ok moment now. There were so many j*n/kook m*ments and hugs and a sweet h*pe/k*ok backhug moment and a good number of vmin moments including slow dancing so why is the focus always on that one ship?
Here’s the thing, maybe my TLs are just well curated, I don’t know, but on mine no one really focused on that moment? Even non-shipper OT7s just briefly had a chuckle and then moved along to other things, awww’ed at vmin moments, there was lots and lots of talk about J*nk*ok being super cute and there being so much content when it comes to their interactions, there was a lot of chatter about basically every duo and OT7 moment. I know ship specific spaces went nuts, Xkookers butting heads like their lives depend on it, but outside of them?
“All of twt” is an exaggeration and I know, believe me I do, that Xkookers have the ability to make it seem like everyone just cares about their moments because they themselves (the shippers) are loud and seemingly everywhere, but when you look past them, that isn’t the case. Shippers have a tendency to generalize, especially those who follow a lot of their fellow shippers, but when you step outside of shipper spaces, things look very differently.
Like anon said, though I’d like to preface this by saying that I haven’t seen the entirety of Memories of 2020 so I can only go by what I have seen though I’d say I’ve seen nearly everything that was posted on twt or at least as much as I could find (including Xkook things), there were a lot, and I mean a lot, of amazing moments between basically all the members, regardless of who your favorite duo might be, I’m sure there was something for you there. Even those who are supposedly a rarity. And even as vminnies, this time around we had a feast with so many amazing vmin moments, some funny ones, some random ones, some super cute ones, whatever you want, there is something there for you to find. And the same can be said about so many other duos, we even got Yoongi and Hobi FaceTiming each other, and Yoongi saying they look like a couple while looking at the pictures Hobi chose for the coffee truck he sent to Yoongi’s Daechwita MV filming set.

There’s one discussion I’d like to get out of the way below the cut, but after that I will have another post very, very soon in which I want us to just have some fun and look at vmin, namjin and the other moments because there is just so much to find. And this is just day one of people having the DVDs, these discussion will continue for a while because, like I mentioned before, Memories are a treasure trove for OT7 content and fun stuff, and there’s more than eleven hours worth of it to be watched, discovered and discussed.
But, okay, let’s get into that moment since anons wanted to talk about it and know my thoughts on it, so let’s do just that. And yes, other anon from a while ago, I remember you once mentioning how I shouldn’t talk about other ships and shouldn’t “debunk” them and their moments, though I’d hardly call this debunking, but as I said many times since our first post, I’m ARMY before I am a vminnie and namjinist, and our blog is called thoughts on Bangtan and, as far as I’m aware, both JK and Jimin are part of Bangtan, so I don’t see a reason why I can’t show my perspective on it and also voice my grievances with shippers when it comes to that moment. And, before anyone comes into our asks to yell at me for being toxic/problematic or only doing this to make my ship look better or whatever, no, that isn’t the point, like at all. 
“Debunking” moments makes literally no difference whatsoever in the grand scheme of things and doesn’t affect reality, all I am doing is having a chat just like everyone else. I’m not even asking you to agree with me, you’re more than welcome not to, I can’t and won’t stop you. Also, just so you know, my initial reaction was just to laugh amused by it, no hard feelings, so I’m not the bad guy.
That being said...the Xkook moment.
Here’s the thing, when it first surfaced many hours ago, the moment itself was cut down to show just the moment of Jimin leaning close to JK and JK leaning back and turning his head away so his cheek faced Jimin...and cut, some even cutting off the video before JK turned his head. That’s it. People, as in shippers, freaked out, and everyone else had a good laugh and moved along to other things, even vminnies were joking about it and everything. I saw none of my fellow vminnies getting angry or insecure about it. Then, as time went by, someone else posted that scene but this time also showing the things leading up to it, so putting it into context instead of removing it. With the context suddenly the whole thing looked and felt completely differently since moments prior Jimin was pretending to stab JK with the pointy end of his mic and then acted as though to check if he was d*ad, as in the end of the scene. Turns out it was just for giggles and not some grand romantic moment in a room full of people and a camera close to their faces.
By that time, of course, those who cared most about that moment had long decided what meaning this holds and didn’t care once context was shown. Gifs and art had already been created, the yelling was loud, and the fights between Xkookers were reaching levels of toxicity I hadn’t seen in a while, which was disgusting and fucked up the say the least. But, the thing is, I don’t think the moment itself was the issue. In context and as rational ARMY you know it was just Jimin playing around with JK as they usually do, things we’ve also seen other members do in similar (though not quite like this) fashion, and after eight years since debut and nine of knowing each other, this isn’t shocking or new in any way. No, the issue were Xkookers and the way they treated this moment, some even going as far as taking screenshots and editing them to make it seem like they were about to kiss, as in they changed the placements of their heads to fit their narrative, as well as others making gifs where they play the moment backwards (leaving out the part where JK leans his head away and to the side) and thus they created their own version of the moment which was different from what had actually happened.
That is my biggest issue with this whole thing. The blatant manipulation of moments to create narratives that don’t match reality, twisting them and using them in stupid pointless fights. But imagine vminnies were to do any of that, all hell would break loose and we’d be attacked without mercy because how dare, and yet they don’t follow their own “logic” and “rules”. It’s more than okay to find any and all moments cute, we all do, to make jokes and whatnot, but twisting context, manipulating it and basically creating your own version of it goes too far. 
Take what we are given as what it is, instead of what you want it to be.
So, now that that’s done, please fellow vminnies and ARMYs, don’t be insecure or let people ruin your mood and fun over it. It’s not worth it. Instead let’s check out and have a talk about some of the fun vmin and OT7 moments we got, along with other ones, including my reply to another anon when it comes to namjin. Of course what I will mention in the post (HERE) is basically just the tip of the iceberg since tumblr has a limit on pictures and everything, so just know there is so much more still left to see than just that.
Before I’ll go, for those who still feel a little insecure/doubtful/whatever else, while I was working on this post and the other one, another anon sent in this well timed vmin ask:
From anon: I have to say this as a Vmin supporter. Whatever is going on with Vmin we can rest assure what they is special/untouchable. They graduated HS & college together, going for Bachelors together. Jimin-ah I like you the most. I want to live with my lovely Taehyung for the rest if my life. Their future is together, friends/soulmates or more they said it. I won’t tear down other members closeness (good for them) their bonds don’t erase Vmins. I’m just happy with the moments Vmin allow us to see.

Hey! I really really like your blog and all the Dutch content, and I read your posts on Molly and Dutch and I just felt like sharing my thoughts :) If you don’t feel like it, just ignore this
I like Molly, even though I agree that she’s very much a snob and very paranoid at times.
It’s always felt very clear to me that Molly really, truly loves Dutch. And love makes you do stupid, desperate things (just look at Arthur).
Molly’s interaction with Abigail is about Dutch’s love for Molly, not the other way around. It’s Abigail saying that Dutch doesn’t love her and Molly lashing out (probably to protect herself from the truth).
This is brought up again in An Honest Mistake, when she talks to Arthur about Dutch, questioning how Dutch seems to him. When Molly says, “I really love him, you know,” Arthur averts his eyes and doesn’t look at her. I’ve always seen this as Arthur knowing Dutch doesn’t love her in the way Molly wants him to, if he loves her at all.
I’ve always seen Dutch as being kind of ahead of his time when it comes to certain progressive ideas (especially as it pertains to race), but when it comes to women, he’s very much a product of his his time. The way he talks about them and to/at them, whether it’s Molly or Abigail or Mary-Beth or Sadie, is often either dismissive or condescending.
While he doesn’t outright say it, the way he acts around the women at camp has always left me feeling like he prefers women (at least the ones he takes an actual interest in) to fit into the roles society has carved out for them; they have to be beautiful and docile and romantic-minded for him to take an interest.
You’ve said yourself, that Dutch deals with a lot of self doubt and that stems from wanting to be seen as a great and powerful man, who the people in camp can look up to, and women (especially young women) were (and to some degree stil is) seen as symbols of status. Molly is a beautiful woman from a wealthy family; she could have anyone she wanted, and she chose Dutch and ran away with him, leaving her old life behind – that’s the ultimate powermove on Dutch’s part.
I’ve always thought of Dutch as a romantic, the way he talks about love and how it’s the one thing worth living for, and I believe that he may have at some point actually loved Molly or at least convinced himself that he did, but the second he grows tired of her and realises that he doesn’t actually love her, he’s moving on to another, younger woman.
His inner romantic and his ego and need to be perceived as powerful are at odds with each other, and as the game progresses we see how his romantic and kind side wilt under the weight and pressure of his responsibilities as a leader and his need to be perceived as powerful and a great leader.
Those are my thoughts at least :)

Also, I appreciate the respect in your message and for taking the time to write so much out! I’d be happy to give you some of my time in return 🥰

I’m going to take your points one at a time here. So, starting with liking Molly, it’s totally fine! I don’t want to be too negative on my blog, and I don’t want people to feel like they have to think the same way I do. That wouldn’t be any fun, so it does make me happy that you can enjoy her character. I don’t want to take that away from you!! By all means, love her to your heart's content!!! ❤️
Furthermore, though I don’t personally like Molly, I don’t think she was a truly bad person. Just like every other character in the game, she had flaws and made mistakes. I primarily wish I could have gotten to know her better because she was presented during a very dark time in her life. I feel like this affected my perception of her, and I might have seen her differently, if I had gotten the chance to interact more with her character (especially outside of the RDR2 timeframe). Everybody deserves not only to love somebody, but everybody also deserves to have faith that the person they love can truthfully say the same back to them. I felt bad that Molly died such an unhappy, loveless death.
About the love Molly had for Dutch, I agree that she loved him. My point in bringing up infatuation was to primarily highlight the reason and the degree to which she honestly loved him. Did Molly love Dutch for the man he was, or for the idea of the man he was? Maybe, it was a mix? I am not sure there is enough information to give a conclusive answer to this (as I somewhat mentioned before).
To be fair, the same thing could (and should) be asked of Dutch. Did he truly love her, or did he just love the idea of having her at his side? Again, it would be fascinating to see the early part of their relationship. It would answer a LOT of questions. You mention that Dutch arguably saw Molly as a symbol of status, and I agree that it was very plausible. I think, to some degree, both Molly and Dutch saw each other as being favorable for what they represented, unfortunately.
In regard to the interaction between Molly and Abigail, I realize my response was unclear about this (that’s my bad). I'll try to write it better here, but this is really complicated to put into words! I'll do my best!!
What I said was that Molly got angry at people she “perceived” as challenging her love (this was subjective to her POV and not necessarily reflective of true reality). My original answer was not objective (nor was it meant to be - I was trying to write this part from her POV), and there are a few layers I want to analyze here. First of all, from an objective perspective, you are correct. The conversation between them was ultimately about Dutch not loving Molly the way she wanted to be loved. However, the first thing Molly did was state to Abigail that she loved Dutch. If she didn’t see this point as being in question, why did she feel the need to immediately justify it before saying anything else? To me, it seemed like she needed to actively prove that she loved him to others.
This was also seen with Karen and Arthur. The conversations with Karen were confusing because they didn’t have much context, but perhaps, that was the point - to show the extent of Molly’s paranoia (in other words, that there was no context and that she was imagining Karen to be against her out of insecurity). Molly continually complained that Karen said bad things about her, and she insisted that she not only loved Dutch, but that he loved her as well. Then, as you mention, Molly emphasized to Arthur that SHE loved Dutch (it was not directly about his love for her). Again, by constantly having to profess her feelings, it was as if she thought people were doubting her on some level.
But here is where the contradiction comes in - I believe that Molly was smart enough to know that this doubting wasn't entirely genuine. She knew it was never really her love that she should have been concerned about. Although, by focusing on herself, it was a way to deflect from her insecurity regarding Dutch and the fact that she knew, deep down, he didn’t truly love her (at least, not anymore). That’s why she got so upset when Abigail, for instance, brought this point up. As soon as the conversation shifted from Molly’s love to Dutch’s love, she lashed out and stormed away.
So, to try to summarize this all up, what I am trying to say is that Molly “perceived” challenges to her own state of emotions as a means of shifting away from her concerns about Dutch’s feelings. She knew her "perceptions" were really more like lies to herself. Molly wanted the conversation with Abigail to seem like it was about her because she felt she was more in control of that and could handle it better. From a neutral perspective, the conversation was definitely not about Molly - it was entirely about Dutch, which Molly knew (she just didn’t like Abigail directly pointing it). I hope my response makes more sense? Sorry, if I am still being confusing!
Now, as for Dutch and his progressive ideas, I think a lot of them were formed in his youth. Little information was given about his childhood, but he did seem pretty sensitive about the fact that he grew up fatherless. His dad died in the Civil War (a conflict primarily centered around the issue of slavery and states’ attitudes towards it), while fighting on the side of the Union. One reason Dutch was probably so progressive in regard to race was because of his anger over losing a parent to racially-motivated violence. Racism seemed like a waste of time and life, so he was bitter towards people who still harbored racist sentiments. He knew firsthand how destructive they could be.
Minimal insight was provided into Dutch’s relationship with his mother, other than the fact that it was quite strained and unhappy. He left home at a young age and essentially disowned her. He obviously didn’t keep in touch with her, judging that he didn’t even know she died until years after the fact. Could this have affected his attitude later in life (towards women)?
I suppose it’s possible. Maybe, Dutch would have looked better on women, had he been closer with his mother. I consider his attitude towards women as pretty average for the era. It’s not entirely fair to compare him to Arthur, who was very progressive for the time and definitely above normal standards. As you say, I think Dutch was a product of his time. In RDR2, he didn’t come across as physically abusive, nor did he overtly sexualize women. However, he did seem to expect women to act in a subordinate manner. It's not great (and I certainly do not agree with his attitude), but again, the contemporary standards in regard to gender roles did not exist in 1899.
Lastly, I COMPLETELY agree about Dutch being VERY romantic, sentimental, and idealistic. This wasn’t just limited to interpersonal relationships either - it also fit his entire perspective of America and the values he held dear. Just take a look at some of his quotes:
“The promise of this great nation - men created equal, liberal and justice for all - that might be nonsense, but it’s worth trying for. It’s worth believing in.”
And:
“If we keep on seeking, we will find freedom.”
In the beginning, he had such high hopes and strong faith that he could find a way to live free from social and legislative demands. Compare that to the end, where he started to say things like:
“You can’t fight nature. You can’t fight change.”
And:
“There ain’t no freedom for no one in this country no more.”
Dutch wanted to believe that there was a chance to live free from the threat of control, but as he started to lose people he loved and got closer to losing his own battle, he started to take on a much more cynical tone. He began to realize that his romantic notions and idealistic visions of life were not always obtainable - no matter how hard he tried to reach them - and it broke him. This change in his life outlook was kind of similar to his interpersonal relationships. When he realized they were a lot of work and not always happy/perfect, he seemed to grow frustrated. Love requires a lot of patience and energy. Despite full effort, love still does not always succeed.
Also, I just want to add that I think Dutch knew he had a problem with his pride, but he tried his best to maintain his tough, confident persona because he didn’t want to be perceived as weak. He definitely realized he messed up in putting his pride first in the end, but at that point, it was too late. Whatever was left of his idealistic aspirations in life died with Arthur up on that cliff.

When Amazon's version of Good Omens was first unleashed on the masses, a Christian group in America asked thousands of followers to petition Netflix and ask them to cancel the show. Netflix, not Amazon...
Clearly, Return to Order made a mistake of biblical proportions, and we're not just talking about the target of their wrath either.
Listed among their many objections was the show's portrayal of the first humans and the fact that God is voiced by a woman. Funnily enough though, one of the biggest mistakes the group make in this long list of ridiculous statements is their claim that the "angel and demon are good friends".
If the friendship between Aziraphale and Crowley upset them this much, just imagine what they'd think if they realised Good Omens is actually a "love story", as defined by Neil Gaiman himself.
Fans have been shipping the "Ineffable Husbands" ever since Gaiman and Terry Pratchett's book was first published back in 1990. Throughout its six-episode runtime, the show expands on this even further through the chemistry shared by its two leads, Michael Sheen and David Tennant.
Tender moments such as when Aziraphale covers Crowley with one of his wings have led to copious amounts of fan fiction which portray them both as a couple. Sister Mary and even a random passerby make similar assumptions about them at various points on the show. However, attempts to label their relationship as canonically queer are more difficult than they might initially seem.
When asked directly if Crowley and Aziraphale are in a gay relationship together, Gaiman told a fan online that, "They're an angel and a demon, not male humans."
At first, that might seem like a cop-out. After all, the pair are depicted as male, even if they're not in the human sense, and queer baiting is a real issue. Certain scenes in Good Omens certainly read as flirty, and far too often, the LGBTQ+ community are forced to read between the lines or label characters themselves in the absence of overt and meaningful representation.
During a recent interview, we asked Gaiman if he'd considered making this "love story" explicit or more concrete on screen to rectify that. Surely, this would have been the perfect opportunity to canonise these elements of the original text while updating it for modern times?
Gaiman said no, not really, referring back to a line in the book which says, "Angels are sexless unless they specifically make an effort."
He went on to say, "I like the idea that we know Crowley and Aziraphale don't really... these are two ethereal and occult beings who aren't really quite clear on what mammals are about, even. I don't really think that they've sussed complicated human things like gender."
On the one hand, it's easy to see why some fans have interpreted comments like this as an excuse designed to deflect criticism and avoid featuring actual queer characters in the text. However, this particular situation is actually more complicated.
In recent years, a surprising number of authors and screenwriters have declared that their characters are canonically queer, even when there's no mention of it in the original text. JK Rowling is a key offender here, regularly announcing that her books are more diverse than they actually are in a patronising bid to appease the LGBTQ+ community.
Crowley and Aziraphale are more obviously queer than most of these characters who were retroactively altered post-release. Sheen's character in particular is coded with elements of the Victorian Dandy lifestyle which acted as a clear precursor to modern queerness in both fashion and outlook. Still, confirming a sexual relationship between the pair on screen would ultimately rewrite what's considered canon in the book.
That's not to say the pair don't love each other. Gaiman has confirmed more than once that Crowley and Aziraphale are in love, but labels like gay, bi or even pansexual don't quite fit in this instance.

In our interview, Gaiman clarified that their story arc in the show uses "all of the beats of a love story" to make it "purer and more fun".
"Watching them meet, watching the relationship grow, watching the ups and downs of it, watching the huge breakup in the bandstand in episode three, and then watching what happens to them after that."
The idea is that Crowley and Aziraphale don't have sexual desires in the same way humans do because they weren't created for reproductive purposes. Therefore, their love is portrayed as strictly platonic.
Understandably, a number of queer fans have taken offence at this, seeing Gaiman's treatment of these characters as erasure, but comments the author made during a recent Twitter exchange flip that idea on its head entirely.

By saying he "wouldn't exclude the ideas that they are ace [asexual], or aromantic, or trans," Gaiman is actually suggesting that Crowley and Aziraphale could represent areas of sexuality that are all too often ignored both outside and also within the LGBTQ+ community.
Even acknowledging that the ace spectrum exists is rare indeed, and comments from Twitter users below this exchange highlight just how validating this can be. Platonic love can be just as deep as romantic love, so why does sexual desire need to be used as proof that love each other?
Asexual relationships are almost non-existent on screen, so the idea that Crowley and Aziraphale could represent this spectrum is actually far more groundbreaking than people often give Good Omens credit for.
Of course, labels are hugely important and the fight to see them used in this particular context is understandable. However, if Gaiman ever did decide to define the central love story as gay or trans or ace, then that would also trample over other readings which actually mean a lot to more marginalised members of the queer community.
At its heart, Good Omens is all about dismantling binary notions of morality and gender, and however you might want to label them personally, Gaiman has always maintained that Crowley and Aziraphale are in love, no matter what form that might take.
Both the book and the show are undeniably queer in this respect, whichever way you look at it, so this might be the rare instance where it's better to not define what this queerness might entail and instead just celebrate our "heroes" for what they are. Ineffable and in love.

I'm watching another episode finally. I was gonna watch it earlier today but I fell asleep. But onto the best titled episode.

They're so little! I love childhood scenes in shows. And they're just figuring out their powers too! How cute.
Ow. Child abuse.
Well, this guy isn't gonna last long. But also, like why do people do that? Also also, you think getting thrown back by an invisible force would make you rethink this, no?
Ok. So murder is fun. I mean, guy had it coming, I saw it coming, I just hate when kids have to do stuff like that.

Man what the fuck, I just realized he said playing music was how he felt better, and now he can't. Not really. Right? Like his had is still damaged a decade later. This is fucked man. Just chug back that nail polish remover.

Isobel what the fuck!? There severely mentally wrong with her, cause you don't just do that. Like, I don't know what to say. Like ok, obviously she's not mentally sound, but I still don't know how she reached that point. Like straight up killed Rosa right there.
Oh my god, they're freaking out (as one would be) and they blaming themselves, but like it's not their fault. How could they have seen that coming? She never did that before, it was an impossible outcome to foresee. And sure looking back you can see there was something wrong, and you will always think about what you could have done, but at the same time hindsight is 20/20, and nothing they did was wrong.
Oh, protecting her from herself. I mean, tbf, there's really no way of telling how she'd react, but still. That's gotta be hard to do.
Great staging though. The pain in all their faces though. The acting was great.
It hurts how much this broke their relationships with each other and them. Like look at how much they had going until this night happened.
Also sidenote, the shot of fire burning in their eyes is like really cool.
Oh my god everything's happening and everyone's freaking out. Liz is upset, and rightfully so. Even if I don't blame them entirely.
Isobel is freaking out, too. Asking if their a murderous species, but tbh Michael has killed no one and Max's kill was 100% self defense. Unfortunately for Isobel she is literally the only one I'd count as actually killing someone. But even that is debatable as being her fault considering how completely not her that was. We'll see how the rest of this story unfolds.
Ngl that ending hurts. Things are happening and it always has to hurt. I don't know why, but it does.

This week on Great Albums: we are FINALLY talking about the Pet Shop Boys! They’ve only been my favourite band since I was, like, eight. Whether you want to understand the hype or you’re already Team PSB, come check out this video and hear all about 1990′s Behaviour. (Or read the transcript, below the break.)
Welcome to Passionate Reply, and welcome to Great Albums! It’s time for me to finally do a video on one of my favourite bands of all time, and the very first band I obsessed over when I was a kid: the Pet Shop Boys! Their fourth LP, 1990’s Behaviour, is considered by many to be their best work, and it’s also one of my personal favourites of theirs, so it seems like a great place to start.
The preceding Pet Shop Boys LP, 1988’s Introspective, was their deepest dive into densely-arranged, nightclub-ready post-disco compositions. Nowadays, people tend to praise it for its more experimental and baroque qualities, but it’s also very much a party album, blending synth-pop with house and rave influences.
Music: “Domino Dancing”
At the cusp of the 1990s, there was certainly no shortage of interest in upbeat, rave-y party music, and the so-called “Madchester” scene was in full swing. But the Pet Shop Boys’ follow-up to Introspective would take their sound in a different direction. They went to Germany to work with Harold Faltermeyer, best known for his instrumental synth smash “Axel F.” There, surrounded by Faltermeyer’s collection of analogue synthesisers, they would create an album that was...well, kind of a downer.
Music: “Being Boring”
Behaviour’s opener, “Being Boring,” is a track whose reputation probably precedes it--it’s one of the best known Pet Shop Boys songs, and over the last thirty years, it’s become emblematic of its era. “Being Boring” is a stark and pensive reflection on the tragedy of the young lives lost to the AIDS epidemic, and the uncanny strangeness of getting older while knowing a lot of others didn’t have that luxury. But at the same time, there’s something surprisingly jubilant and triumphant about the way that chorus rises up, almost like exultation at having survived, even though the verses feel more downbeat. Lyrically, the focus on “having never been boring” puts focus on having lived a vibrant life moreso than it does the silence of the crypt. Behaviour might be a somber album, but it’s not without a sense of hope or optimism; just listen to the track “The End of the World.”
Music: “The End of the World”
While “Being Boring” deals with the very adult gravity of death, grief, and survivorship, “The End of the World” asks us to imagine the petty romantic squabblings of teenagers, and their magnified sense of importance. While its title is a bit ambiguous, the song itself is quite clear: what is going on here is, by no means, the end of the world! Like I said, Behaviour is far from all doom and gloom, though it has sort of gotten that reputation. While acclaim for Behaviour is certainly as common among hardcore Pet Shop Boys fans as it is anyone else, I’m tempted to think that some of the praise it receives from relative outsiders is connected to this perception of it as the “serious” Pet Shop Boys album, that deals with real issues instead of being packed with fun pop songs. While I like gloomy, serious music as much as anybody, and personally prefer it to the more light-hearted releases, there’s no reason to predicate appreciation for the Pet Shop Boys on their being cerebral or high-minded. But that seems to be a common plague of a lot of music criticism, particularly of that rockist sort. The track “How Can You Expect To Be Taken Seriously?” serves as its own sort of commentary on rock culture.
Music: “How Can You Expect To Be Taken Seriously?”
In “How Can You Expect To Be Taken Seriously?”, the titular question is posed to rock stars whose inflated egos make them think they have something meaningful to say about big issues like politics. The song’s rougher soundscape stands out against dreamier tracks like “Being Boring,” and perhaps kicks it slightly closer to sounding like a rock song. While I can certainly get behind a song that mocks rock and roll self-righteousness, it does seem a bit ironic in the context of Behaviour, an album that would see the Pet Shop Boys making a clear effort to tackle meaty, real-world issues. I suppose that any album released by artists who were already established in their career might be expected to include some consideration for the dilemmas that come with that territory. Another track that explores this theme is “My October Symphony.”
Music: “My October Symphony”
While never released as a single, “My October Symphony” is a popular track nonetheless. It was inspired by the life of the great Russian composer, Dmitri Shostakovich, and portrays the grave uncertainties presented to the artist by the collapse of Communism, and with it, the prevailing sense of mythology and moral values. Given the themes involved, many have interpreted it as a track that obliquely questions where famous queer artists like the Pet Shop Boys were going, in a world that had been devastated by AIDS. While it’s about a very different kind of musician, I certainly like to think it’s a track that “rhymes” with “How Can You Expect To Be Taken Seriously?”, in that it also questions the relationship between artists and the values of the society around them.
Behaviour’s cover art recalls that of the Pet Shop Boys’ 1986 debut, Please, with a strong emphasis on empty, white space, and a small design in the center. While the relationship of its four panels is ambiguous, it could be interpreted as a representation of death--as a face turns away, the human figures disappear, leaving the still, unchanged inanimate objects behind. As children, we quickly learn that not being able to see something doesn’t mean the thing is truly gone, but nevertheless, we sometimes have a tendency to ignore things we wish would go away. Perhaps the cover of Behaviour is an allusion to the way world governments buried their heads in the sand, so to speak, regarding the AIDS crisis, hoping it would conveniently die down and vanish when it wasn’t being observed.
The title of “Behaviour” is perhaps even more mysterious and up to interpretation than the cover. There’s something very detached and clinical about that word--an impersonal ambiance. I’m reminded of the seemingly unsympathetic narrators of several tracks, such as “The End of the World” and “How Can You Expect To Be Taken Seriously?”, that seem to cast judgment on the actions of others without taking an interest in their emotional internality. They discuss “behaviours” as cut and dry phenomena, and focus on the actions that people take. While neutrality can be cold and condemnatory, it can also be a welcome change when introduced to a subject traditionally treated with hostility. In that light, I’m tempted to think of the title as referring to homosexual “behaviour,” contextualizing sexuality as less of a fixed identity, and something that one intrinsically “is,” and more about an action, a decision, something that one “does”--a mentality that a lot of people find rather liberating.
In introducing Behaviour, I described it as an album that’s often considered the Pet Shop Boys’ best work. But their 1993 followup to it, Very, is also a strong contender for that title, in the hearts of many of their biggest fans. *Very* has a lot more in common with *Introspective* than it does Behaviour, going back to rich, dense productions and upbeat, poppy love songs. The fact that the Pet Shop Boys managed to pull off two very different, but both very acclaimed, releases back to back speaks volumes about why people love them as much as they do. Whether you like them or not, they’re undoubtedly one of those artists who some people can turn to in just about any mood, or any season of life, and that’s a powerful thing.
Music: “I Wouldn’t Normally Do This Kind of Thing”
My favourite track on Behaviour is its lead single, “So Hard.” It’s one of my all-time favourite Pet Shop Boys tracks, and almost certainly my favourite of their singles. With its wryly bitter narrative of two-timing lovers, and harsh, clattering analogue synthesiser soundscape, “So Hard” has a pretty different feel to the rest of the album--dark and ominous, without that wistful, sentimental aura. But that’s exactly why I like it. The Pet Shop Boys were among the first artists to deliberately adopt analogue synths for the subjective qualities of their sound, and this track employs them in a way that’s reminiscent of what artists tend to do with them nowadays. It’s punchy, with that clunky, mechanistic analogue quality to it. Not a typical Pet Shop Boys song, but a damn good one nonetheless! That’s all I’ve got for today, thanks for listening.

I finally did another Friday Night Fights fill! Featuring the femslash I didn't do much of in February. Prompt from @promptsforthestrugglingauthor
Anaya had been friends with Niamh for long enough to know that the girl had a bit of a competitive streak. It had only taken her so long to notice because neither Eirian nor Axel were even remotely competitive. However, in the gym class Anaya shared with Niamh, it was like she became an entirely different person. Or at least it had seemed that way until Anaya got to know Niamh better. Then she was able to pick up on the other girl's mean streak and the way she got a particular delight from ruining the days of those who made fun of Eirian or Axel. She even offered to ruin the lives of Anaya's former friends for what they had done. Anaya had refused, because she was trying to move on from the whole issue with Adrien and Eleni and be a better person than either of them had been to her, but the idea had certainly been tempting, especially when she knew that Niamh would back up her words with action. So yes, Anaya was well aware of Niamh's mean streak and competitiveness, but she wasn't exactly sure how they had wound up at this.
"This" had started the same way much of Niamh's competitions started: in gym class, as she seemed to effortlessly pick up whatever new sport they were doing that week. This week's sport was fencing, and as always, Niamh had picked it up appallingly easily. Anaya, on the other hand, was slowly but steadily improving her skills with each move and practice opponent she faced during class. It wasn't until the end of class that she was paired off to spar with Niamh.
“What do you say to a friendly sparring match? Winner buys the loser dinner,” Niamh asked, her bloodthirsty grin clear and obvious on her face for all who deigned to look close enough.
“I counter your sparring match with a straightforward offer to take you on a dinner date, you big nerd,” Anaya scoffed with a roll of her eyes, too tired and sore to even pretend to take Niamh seriously. Her eyes widened as she realized what she had said, looking over at Niamh, whose cheeks were flushed a dark pink, her expression uncharacteristically blank, though her eyes were just as wide.
Before Anaya could even begin to take her words back or write them off as platonic, the bell rang, sending the class scurrying for the locker rooms, Anaya and Niamh caught up in their wake. An awkward silence lingered between them as they changed out of their gym uniforms, until the silence grew too much for Anaya to bear as they left the locker room.
"I didn't mean it!" She blurted, her tongue stumbling ahead of her as she did her best to read Niamh's still blank expression. "Or, okay, I meant it, but in a totally platonic way, I didn't mean to come on to you and make you feel uncomfortable. I mean, I do like girls, you know this, and you are very pretty, which you also know, but I totally meant dinner as friends and not dinner as a date so--"
"I didn't know you could say so many words at once," Niamh interrupted when it became clear that Anaya was incapable of stopping herself, a slow, satisfied grin stretching across her pink lips. She bit at her bottom lip for a moment, and if Anaya didn't know her better, she would have taken it as hesitation. But she did know better, knew that Niamh wasn't hesitating so much as considering her next choice of words.
"Were you ever this nervous with Adrien?"
Anaya could feel herself stiffen at Niamh's words, at the mention of her failed relationship. For Niamh to have brought it up in this context, when she rarely brought it up at all outside of vague threats to Anaya's former friends, that meant she had assumed --not incorrectly-- that Anaya's feelings for her were similar in nature. "I..." Anaya began and then trailed off, suddenly at a loss for words.
"I know I shouldn't have brought it up," Niamh continued, her cheeks flushing brightly, and Anaya mentally praised her dark skin for not showing the heat that had risen to her own face. "I just... if that's why you're nervous, your feelings wouldn't exactly be unreciprocated."
"Wait, what?" Anaya questioned, confusion furrowing her brow.
"I..." Niamh started, and this time it was truly hesitance that stilled her words. "I... I like you. Romantically."
Anaya wasn't sure how to respond to that. It wasn't like she hadn't realized that Niamh was pretty, although in a more traditional way than the girls that typically caught Anaya's eye. And maybe she had thought about going out with the other girl on a real date, without Eirian or Axel around to make it firmly platonic, but those had been just that, thoughts. She had never imagined that Niamh might be interested in her in the same way, and now that she did, Anaya wasn't sure what to do with that. Oh, logically, she knew that the answer was to say yes, but Anaya had already lost one set of friends after a failed relationship. She didn't want to end her friendship with Eirian and Axel if a relationship with Niamh didn't work out. She didn't want to end her friendship with Niamh either, didn't want to mess up and find herself friendless again.
"If you're not responding because I've totally misread the situation, you're also welcome to ignore what I said just now," Niamh added, when she became flustered by Anaya's lack of answer.
"You... you didn't misread the situation," Anaya clarified quickly. "I just... I already lost one set of friends because a relationship didn't work out."
Niamh blinked and then rolled her eyes, an easy grin making its way across her face. "Please do your best to remember that I'm not like those losers you used to call friends."
"Niamh!" Anaya scolded.
Niamh's grin widened and she bumped Anaya's shoulder with her own. "I'm not going to leave you hanging if it turns out we don't actually want to date. But I would love to at least try. Don't you want to?"
Anaya licked her suddenly dry lips. "I- I do."
"Good," Niamh replied, her grin becoming something softer that Anaya wasn't sure she had seen in the time she had known Niamh. She wasn't sure what it meant exactly, but it sent thrills of nerves up through her stomach like butterflies. She wanted to see more of this new smile, wanted to make Niamh smile like that more often. "We can figure out details during lunch, before we're both late for class."
Anaya jolted to attention at the mention of classes. She and Niamh shared a glance before they darted off in different directions, doing their best to beat the late bell.

I'd love to hear those fusion thots :eyes: the pacific rim ones were V good
If you’ve been around this house for a hot minute you might know that fusion aus are My Entire Jam Garden so you might imagine I’ve already put some thought into this and you would imagine right. The following was brainstormed in consort with @aryashi my second brain. 
The basis for this au is that fusion is possible in the forgotten realms and is just a thing people there can do. This also applies to sudden interdimensional travelers. 
tl;dr I wrote basically a one-shot’s worth of words down there but in short fusion is rad but also there's an unexpected amount of drama. which is basically a summary of the podcast but replace "fusion" with "fatherhood"
(preface: fusion is not a sex metaphor, just like pacific rim. Platonic fusion is normal. Familial fusion is normal. Okay, continue.) 
First inter-dad fusion: “I silence his dumb ass with a kiss” except its “I silence his dumb ass by accidentally fusing our bodies and consiousnesses into a single being w h o o p s” 
I like to name fusions as something other than their romantic ship name so let’s call him… o h yeah we named all of Henry’s fusions after animals. So this guy is Hare (like Darryl). Hare is pretty stable from the outside, but their internal dialogues clash really hard so they're incredibly slow to make decisions. 
Internally, Henry feels like he's crossed Darryls boundaries. They have to hold it, but he lets Darryl take the wheel and all similar mistakes are made. They make it through the thing with the Lance before unfusing. Darryl has no idea what that was and already has a lot of intimacy issues, so he’s not particularly inclined to try that again for funsies. Henry is curious, but there’s a buried part of him that’s making him deeply unsettled by the whole experience. He can barely have a straight thought about it, much less articulate the feeling, so he doesn’t try. He lets it go. 
First sons fusion: When the Lord of Chaos throws back his robe, yelling “Dad! !” it’s a GIANT Lark&Sparrow. They’re like trying to fuse two rubies together, you just get a bigger ruby. This changes a bit later, when the twins start to diverge from each other vis a vis Love Wolfism, but basically the Lord of Chaos is an Oak Twin the size of their dad. But still looks 12. It probably actually takes the Love Wolf speech from Henry and their divergent reactions to get them to unfuse. 
Second inter-dad fusion: That other time Henry and Darryl smooched while high on drug flowers. It was very unpleasant, they don’t talk about it, they don’t try that again for a while. 
They get a book on fusions from the Library that reads almost like a birds and the bees talk and there is minor culture-shock panicking about whether fusion is Like That, but something in Henry is telling him “No. It’s not Like That.” He doesn’t really know why he’s so solid in that belief. He understands that fusion is unique and powerful and a wonderful thing, but something about doing it is just… getting under his skin. 
Third inter-dad fusion: Glenn and Ron. I’m not even sure the exact context or anything. Maybe they were just vibin’. All I really know is that I imagine these two occasionally fuse for the weirdest things, like
Fourth inter-dad fusion: also Glon, fishing magic items out of a giant toilet. They needed to be taller. 
Glon is… gosh, what the heck is Glon. Performative out the ass, for sure. Down for basically anything. Allowed to wear bootie shorts. 
Back up a hot minute though, because first dad-son fusion: almost happens on the Tower of Terry. It comes so close. They’re in that hug, and Ron thinks maybe if they fuse, the magic won’t take TJ. Or even if it takes them both, that’s better than TJ getting taken alone. They don’t have to say “I’m sorry” or “I love you, son” out loud, but before it really takes, Terry gets ripped away. Because Willy can’t have that, can he? 
Fifth inter-dad fusion: is Glon again, but the circumstances are way different because Ron just saw the mummy of his wife and Glenn is trying to help him breeze past it and it works until it doesn’t and they fall apart with Ron a crying mess. 
Sixth inter-dad fusion buckle up because we’ve reached Ravenloft. Before dad-fusion 6, Henry gets caught in his dad’s claws. He feels something very familiar and rejects it with everything he has, and escapes to grab Glenn. Then he gets hit by Calm Emotions, Glenn reaches up, trying not to fall, and Henry is already super chill about everything all of a sudden, so when Glenn tries to fuse out of panic, Henry goes for it. 
Gila—Henry and Glenn—can do actual bard magic. They’re like Opal, in that a single moment of disconnect is enough to snap them apart and finding that disconnect is not difficult. But when the situation is saving their kids and telling their asshole dads to get lost, that’s plenty enough connection to cast an actual magic-ass thunderwave with a guitar and maybe a bit more. 
(Barry didn’t like that.) 
So another fun thing about adding this factor to cannon is that this lets the dads have glimpses inside each other’s heads. So certain conversations could change a little bit. For example, in the van while they’re driving away from the Ravenloft fight and Henry’s explaining a few things. 
Henry: I don't have a lot of memories from that time in my life—  Glenn: Not a lot? Try "not any.” Henry: Glenn—  Glenn: Dude, none of my business, but your brain was weird.  Henry: Glenn.  Glenn: Like did the government get to you when you showed up on earth or—   Henry: Glenn what the fff—rick are you even saying just shut up Darryl: …
Darryl had noticed, too, but Glenn has other fusion experience to compare with. Henry could catch glimpses and imprints and trains of thought which ground in different points of Darryl/Glenn’s entire life, and Glenn and Ron can do that equally with each other. But a bunch of things for Henry, if you try to backtrack to where the decision comes from it just. Stops. Especially with using magic, which Glenn got to do. And Henry’s thoughts on fusion end dead hard. 
(filtering all of this through Freddie’s headcanon that Glenn always figured Henry was from Faerun but was just wildly wrong about all the details is so much fun)
This is the part in the fic series where there’s a one-shot about Henry having a panic attack just outside of the camp at night, and the most he can explain is just that something about seeing his dad again set him off. 
And then we get to a lighter turn for first dad-son fusion but for realsies this time: Ron Stampler nat 20s to hug his son and then also is the son. And that dad. And dads are supposed to be inside to do a ritual for a demon cow. 
RJ is the sweetest dude. Also if you don’t sit on him he will wander off and do the most extreme version of the first thing that comes to his mind for a problem solution or release from boredom. And he will not tell you about it in advance, so seriously. Sit on him. 
So they stand there for a second like "yes... Yes. Yes... Okay. Im... I'm the dad. But I'm the kid? But im. The dad. And all the other dads are also the kid so... Dad... Trumps kid status. And I'm the dad... Cool." and they go in to help with the demon cow. 
The kids are flipping out outside. 
Henry spots them and drops the cage, almost like he’s Garnet and just spotted Stevonnie. While all the other dad’s are freaking out/fawning/curious, Glenn lifts their glasses and theres four eyes and he drops the glasses and never mentions this again. 
Rj: hi um. I'm a dad.... Yeah. So I'm here tooooooo frickin kill a demon cow let's do this Rj: got the good dad vibes comin out of my butt
For realsies though Terry should be outside, so they unfuse for the cow thing and the bbq but then Dennis happens. 
Second dad-son fusion: Dennis: are you sure you've got this?  Ron: i can do it  TJ: he can DO it dad GIVE ME YOUR HAND
RJ’s an arcane trickster and it’s real cool and Dennis looks so jealous ha ha ha and also they separate after the fight and suddenly Terry’s unsettled and needs to talk to Ron for a second because “Hey Dad is Dennis not real????????” 
Third dad-son fusion: is way less eventful, but who the heck can say no to more reasons to cry about the Wilsons at the tail end of the Supper Bowl arc? 
Fusion is not a replacement for talking, but it is a bit smoother in communicating emotions. It doesn’t happen until the end of their talk, when Darryl’s got his arm around Grant. I don’t think either of them are super attached to this whole fusion thing, (If Grant is, it certainly wasn’t his dad he’d been thinking about trying it with. Maybe one of the other kids… “maybe Terry.”) so they may not even pick a name. Henry certainly cries at least twice as hard, but when they want to just get something to eat and maybe just hang out for a while, nobody pushes. 
I think the most important part of this is that it gives Grant a kind of… emotional break. Lets him feel something nice again— like he does in the show, too, but in a way that’s a bit more stable while it lasts. Like the feeling when you’re a kid on a long car ride with your parents, one that ends in getting home late and you’ve fallen asleep and they carry you out of the car. 
Good things for Grant Wilson for til forever. 
Somewhere in that arc, though, Glenn approaches Henry by themselves. Glenn’s not really a feelings guy, but whatever’s going on in Henry’s head is a problem. It’s a one-up the o-dads have on them, and they can’t afford that right now. 
Glenn: so you like... Really don't hardly remember being a kid?  Henry: Glenn, I don't want to talk about it  Glenn: I bet your dad's gonna wanna talk about it  Henry: well... i don't care what he wants  Glenn:... You seriously don't know how you got to earth?  Henry: [exasperated] the frick are you-- I got to earth like anyone else, Glenn. You know where babies come from, right?  Glenn: of course i fucking know where babies come from. A mommy and a daddy love each other very much and then their kid runs away so hard he skips dimensions  Henry: wh-- wait you-- do you think I'm an alien?  Glenn: obviously  Henry: Glenn that's-- [sighs, rubs his face] Glenn this isn't the kind of time for your conspiracies  Glenn: hey as far as I'm concerned, a man who sleeps with an axe under his pillow is a fool every night but one. and you shoot poison from your hands and shape shift into bears
Which adds nicely to the slide of heading to Oakveil next
Henry: y'know what. When we leave here, we can get my kids next.  Glenn: your interdimensional kids  Henry: to prove to you you're being crazy. Again.  Glenn: De Nial is a river man, and we left it back on earth
And one more dialogue bite, because…
Glenn: claim your powers latched onto you from this world all you want. But that language you and your dad spoke, didn't come out of the air, it came out of the door in your head
...fusion means the other dads get to learn about the metaphorical brain door. 
This brings us into the most recent arc, heading into Oakveil. He and Ron sneak in, and Beary tells Henry he’s home, and pieces start to click together. Henry’s from this world, so he understands why he’s had such a particular view on fusion and that basic cultural understanding. That it’s considered normal. And that it’s even normal for a kid’s first fusion to be with their parent. Their parent who loves them and knows them wants to see them grow. 
Bear Ry’Oak is not that. 
First O-dad fusion: Henry’s first fusion was with his dad. 
I think the worst thing is that, when fused with his dad, Hen doesn't feel like he's not himself. one of the interesting things about the Oaks is that they're kind of all slight alterations on the same traits. Like as gross as it feels to admit, Beary is just Henry but with the condescension turned up to a billion and his high horse is basically an elephant and no self-awareness or care for how others might have different perspectives from him
But Beary is still so overwhelming to Henry that it just flattens pretty much anything that makes Henry, Henry. Specifically the parts that Barry dislikes. like Henry's anger. To directly quote Aryashi: “Beary thinks using fusion for combat is barbaric. obviously fusion is for Conflict Resolution. Fuse with Beary so he can sort out your disagreement with him!”
(and then bathe in bleach)
So Beary finds them in Oakveil and Henry starts panicking and he tries to Handle Henry like he did when Henry was a kid, fusing with him to stomp down on his feelings to cut a panic attack or outburst off at the pass. If Henry's in no place to fight back it usually works, but if Ron's there--literally pressed against Henry's back--to see the fusion coming, maybe he reaches for a fusion, too, and lets Henry's instincts choose which pull to follow, and Henry's instincts choose Ron.
Seventh inter-dad fusion: Wren is suddenly there before Beary can even start his attempt to coach Henry through breathing (his half-effort to help Henry and be able to say that he tried freakin hate him) and is sitting on the ground and the disgusted look Beary gets seeing this. (Fusing with an outsider is something he considers so beneath his son.)
Beary:... Ah. Ronald.  Wren, existing, suddenly, and mostly being Ron's processing power as Henry's mental wheels try to slow down to match Ron's pace (cultivated through a childhood of dealing with Willy) rather than amp them both up: uhm... It's just Ron, actually Beary: would you mind... (there's other people around so he can't say "decontaminating") liberating my son. (as if ignoring the role his son had in choosing this fusion over his) Wren: Henry is uh... (me? Not me? Yes me, not up for this, we should go somewhere else that usually works fine, we can just leave and find the others and that'll be fine) he's good. We're good, we're gonna... (looking at the other people who look like Henry and the "not amping each other up” thing is working less and less)  Wren: bye
And then they just stand up and fast-walk away
Wren is either chill af and rolling with every punch or the living equivalent of a coke bottle that you popped a whole roll of mentos in and then closed immediately. At this moment, it’s very much the coke bottle side. Beary lets them go because he knows Henry will be back, and they make it just outside of town to where the others have just shown up before they fall apart. 
Ron: We found the door!  Darryl: what door?  Ron: the one in Henry's head!  And all the dads know what he's talking about Glenn: did you open it?  Henry: no  Ron: a little bit  Henry(probably now starting that panic attack): the anchors in there  Ron: his dad came out of it  Darryl: his dad???????? Henry, vulnerability, Oak: I AM FEELING VERY VULNERABLE RIGHT NOW AND I HATE IT  [chorus of mumbled sorrys] Ron: oh also Oakvale is Henry's home Darryl: WHAT Glenn: Uh hey anyone gonna pick up the phone cause I FUCKIN CALLED IT Henry: That's not my home! My home is with Mercedes back on Earth! Glenn: Yeah, this is just where you were born.  Henry: Glenn I swear to God-- Glenn: Dude lay off, I was agreeing with you! Home's where the heart meds are and all that jazz Darryl: Wait, you have heart meds? At home? When was the last time you took your heart meds? Glenn: Uhh... not since I came here? It's fiiiiiine. Never felt better! Ron: Not to interrupt but Henry's on the ground breathing funny. Glenn, are you sure you don't have any heart meds? Henry: being hugged by both of his sons in a simultaneous way that is not their normal simultaneous way (i.e. the Lord of Chaos way): WHY ARE MY SONS TALLER THAN ME Glenn: I'm more surprised that they're hugging you  Lord of Chaos: to assert dominance! Any moment now, we will turn this hug into a suplex!
And that basically brings us to now? I want a Triple Oak Fusion (the King of Chaos) but with how the fight with Beary went I’m not sure where it’ll go. OH YEAH. 
Autumn stopped fusing with Hen even when he was a kid because she couldn’t stand to see how much her son craved the approval of that evil man who stole her life away. And whether or not Henry ever fuses with anyone ever again after finding out he’s got Eldritch in him has gotta be up in the air. 
And at this point I could easily be convinced that the next inter-dad fusion is Darryl and Glenn, those beautiful idiots. They could be… Denn. Glarryl? We’ll workshop it.
