some fun Wormhole Xtreme themed fic with a side helping of trauma discussion. posting for Slashmas 2022 for Jack/Daniel

After somehow surviving cancellation, Wormhole X-Treme has persisted airing its cheesy episodes and gained a cult following, and it’s finally won over Jack and Daniel. At least, Daniel’s more than happy to use it as an excuse to snark about the hilariously bastardized mythology, and Jack just likes to listen to this week’s installment of Daniel Vs. Pop Culture.

This time, though, Jack’s reaction to the the bad comments section prompts some realizations in Daniel, whose pent-up trauma anger finally finds its way to the surface, processing and coping with the Hathor incident. It's long overdue. He deserves this. And Jack, as always, is there to help him get through.

It's Complicated

Danny's in Gotham, Clockwork "for the good of the timeline" (he just likes seeing them tiny) turns Dan and Ellie about 7-12 ish and Jack and Maddie are off terrorizing the vampires in Romania.

Vlad has been both dragged along and is somewhat stalking Danny via 1. trying to make things right with him and attempting to actually Parent His Kids and to get Danny to stop lording it over his head. And 2. trying to also not get obliterated by the two little tykes by acting like, well, himself to Danny.

Jason is very interested in the new neighbor, for reasons that are Completely Professional and hold No Romantic Intentions. So he does a little digging. For security, of course.

He comes out of it horrified.

She may have forgotten that Superman could fly as fast as the stupid tank of a car could go. Or that Gotham had other vigilantes, that had bikes that were way more maneuverable, or that Billy was a big baby about car chases.
