Can we give some praise to Izuku for his role in helping Katsuki save All Might? Yes, Katsuki woke up and Izuku saw him standing on UA. But as Katsuki leapt towards Izuku, Second popped up and told Izuku that using Gearshift WILL hurt him. Second warned that Izuku must be SURE he’s found the path to victory, then looked at the fading Aura Might vestige with one of his inscrutable side-eyes. Does Izuku listen? NO AND THANK GOODNESS. Izuku doesn’t hesitate to use Gearshift on Katsuki, betting it ALL on a Gearshift-powered Katsuki saving All Might, which in turn saves Aura Might and will help them all. Even Tomura gets in on the action, berating Izuku for his choice (and not, interestingly, the blowback from Gearshift, which I assume is still coming…) Yet Izuku was right, Aura Might is back, and Second and Tomura are left gawking as they both watch Katsuki’s amazing save and Aura Might’s return.

are two statements that can and, as of right now, do coexist.

Like I know Bakugo reflected on that day, and it seems like he's found the answer. But if he really thought about WHAT made Midoriya save him that day (the drive to SAVE--despite everything from the past, or even the previous 12 hours lol), he'd have a clearer understanding of Midoriya as a person, and understand why he was noticed by All Might in the first place.

Bakugo is part of the sassy man apocalypse and whenever you point it out he starts seething over it bc he knows he can’t get mad at you or it would just prove you right about him. He’ll sit across the room from you just glaring and it’s the funniest thing. God forbid he puts his legs up too then it’s REALLY funny. Will literally turn his WHOLE BODY away from you the more you pester him about it.

Deku is also apart of the sassy man apocalypse except his outbursts are rarer and therefore more funny bc they’re so genuine. “what do you mean you threw away my moldy shoe polish”-ass AS his voice cracks. He’s so caught up in whatever it is that when you comment on it, he is actually cracking an embarrassed smile bc he fell right into it so naturally.
