Her relationship with Yuichi is very much one of those siblings, "only I'm allowed to call you shit, anyone else does I'm throwing hands." Except it's usually very sharp and deadly objects in this case.

Lovingly bullies Yuichi. Auntie very much had to do the whole domesticating a feral kitten for all the ninja but especially with her.

Itsumi is sooo fun. She thinks Yuichi is an idiot and is frankly astonished he's still alive and that he's lived so long(she admires him, his kindness and determination). She tolerates him as he loves and cares for all the neko ninja orphans as little sisters (he loves and cares for her). Just. She was snarky and bossy and disbelieving. And it could have just been she was a brat kid and/or a bully. Or. Or It could be that she was always trying to be the loudest among them, speaking up and speaking out to get all the attention on her, "Look at me, look only at me, pay attention to me, ignore them, leave the others alone, they are not worth your time, focus on me." And disbelieving how Hanna actually got out of the crew because she needs to nip false hope in the bud to avoid getting hurt. Because while the other kittens sometimes have a confused or concerned expression, she had an angry or sceptical one. And she was always in front while the others were at her side and a step behind. She needs to be on the lookout, she needs to guide and protect the others because who else will? And Yuichi got them out. Sure Chizu and the others helped but Yuichi gave them a home. Tells them the best napping spots. Will tell them to try and find his hidden comics on their own, but will give hints(that aren't so much so hints but their exact locations) if he feels like they might be struggling even though they very much are definitely not. Pats their heads. Calls them imouto. Lends them his old clothes, gives them his childhood toys. Became their big brother. Goofy and more childish than them sometimes, but a good and caring older brother nonetheless.

Going from living with Lady Fuwa to living with Auntie on the farm.... They were always kept in the dojo, and depending on how young they were taken in never even remembered or knew what the sky looks like, and then its shown in the show that because of the bright lights of Neo Edo you can't see the stars, and then their first night at the farm, still disbelieving that they're truly free, together in a room because there's no way they feel comfortable enough to separate, and then looking out a window and seeing a sky, blue, dark, and covered in stars.

Itsumi chose new clothes that were blue, and yes it was to copy Yuichi (she will forever deny that) but also because blue is the color of freedom, the color of the samurai who held out his hand and tried to teach them to be good, the color of the sky overhead as you realize you are free to rest your head and not worry about a demon in red coming for you and your sisters family comrades, just. Peace.

She'll never admit that though, it's more tactical now, she'll say. The blue blends in better with the night sky now that the lights are off.

Demons and Moonshine

Scylla kicks Fuwa’s door down, hands burning with the swirling magic Shirogane grants her, despite his insistence that she needs to heal from her very recent injury.

She hurt. My moonshine.

“FUWA.” She practically roars, tail and wings dragging on the floor beneath her. Fuwa turns to look at her, eyes widening in fear, and then recognition.

“You-”

Scylla slams her by the throat into the wall behind her, growling as she grins, her eyes bright with manic rage, glowing her bright, signature purple. “Me~” She practically giggles, squeezing Fuwa’s throat so hard that the old Persian wheezes, clawing at Scylla’s magic darkened hands. No matter. She barely leaves a scratch.

“Wh-What do you want- Why are you here, demon child?” Fuwa snarls.

“What can I say, Fu, I missed you!!! I missed our little games that we used to play, remember? You’d show up to my mother’s Nexus, you’d snidely insult me, I’d violently dismember your ninja…. Oh wait that only happened that one time-” Scylla giggles wildly.

“You’re insane-”

“Nope!!!” Scylla boops her on the nose with the other hand. “You just hurt my moonshine!! And for that, Fu, you’re going to pay the consequences, cunt~”

Scylla claws into Fuwa’s face, making the old woman scream in agony as she tears at fluff and fur and flesh, laughing, laughing, while blood splatters over her face, her ao dai, staining her skin.

When Scylla finally drops the sorry excuse for a corpse, she turns and smiles at the traitorous ninja who remain, blood and flesh still dripping from her hands.

“Now. Who would like to come to your lady’s honor and fight me?”

The ninja stay quiet.

“That is what I thought. I will allow you to have the body, so you may bury with honor a person who has none. Tomorrow,” Scylla walks back to the broken door, stepping over the pieces. “You will beg for forgiveness from my Lady Chizu.

“I doubt she will have any.”

Top 5/Bottom 5 Girls in the supporting cast? i.e. Girls with 30xx in their ID

I'll start with my Top 5 first:

5. Mizuki Rui: 5th place was a toss-up between her and Chika, but I'm gonna go with Rui this time! I love how she keeps pinging between "emo kid who wears chainmail under her school uniform and spouts edgy quotes about demons" to "oh god why did i say that??? brb crawling into a hole", haha. Her magical girl outfit with a million belts is fun, and her awkward nerd friendship with Miyuri is heartwarming.

4. Yukino Kanae: I've been fond of her ever since the NA server days, and I will never not feel robbed that she's been dead since before the story even started. ;; She's like a big raggedy alley tomcat in the form of a delinquent girl-- yeah, she looks like she gets into fights all the time (and she does), but she never goes looking for trouble, and she's a huge sweetheart when you get to know her. How emotional she got when Yachiyo's grandma started doting on her... augh. All she really wants is love, deep down.

The fact that she was so willing and almost eager to throw her life away to save her friends from a witch carries some pretty depressing implications, and it's a shame that she died before the story could explore any of that. :{ I think she could've had an interesting connection with Ren. As far as Kanae's canon relationships go, I love her brief almost-friendship with Kanagi. They have a good dynamic!

3. Natsu Ryouko: Probably my favorite Tokime girl next to Shizuka herself! I love how sincere she is-- the girl can't lie her way out of a wet paper bag, and she knows it. Unfortunately, this means she's honest about things that she probably could've kept to herself (sorry Sakuya), but at least she means well. I've got a soft spot for characters who are short-tempered but protective-- she'll get mad and butt into situations that have nothing to do with her because she can't just sit on her hands while someone is suffering.

I also find it very funny that she's like "yeah I was raised in a Buddhist temple, and I pray and meditate daily, but I'm not a monk or nothin', so I can be horny for hot girls and eat meat. it's all good don't worry about it buddy" and the other characters just... try not to think about how vaguely sacrilegious it feels to grill meat next to some bald old monks

2. Suzuka Sakuya: Taken from us too soon... ;_; Working on her MSS and Another Story ch.3 really made her grow on me. She's such a good girl! I like how she's torn between her duty- helping Promised Blood seize the APS from Kamihama- and her own morals (as well as the PTSD she has from killing her girlfriend "dearest, most beloved best friend" with her own hands in the Blood Tragedy). She tries to act tough and harsh, but she's so gentle at heart that she caves way too easily.

The scene in AS3 where she says that if it ever seems like Yuna is going to lose herself to vengeance, she'll keep Yuna's heart safe until the darkness breaks and the sun rises over Futatsugi again, gets me every time. Especially in hindsight of MS7... ;; I love Sakuya's relationships with Ryouko and the rest of PB, too-- it's all so good!

1. Chizu Ranka: She's one of my top 3 characters in the game in general, main cast included. My baby, my chew toy, my shitty little purse dog... She can be aggressive, underhanded, and cowardly, but she can also be playful, affectionate, and supportive of her friends. She'll call Juri a dumb sack of bricks not to make her feel bad, but because it's true she knows Juri can do better and doesn't wanna just sit by and watch her fuck up. I guess you could say Ranka is kind, but not nice? It's a fun contrast.

And I am still gnawing on the way her guilt, weakness, and fear form an endless cycle of bad decisions. I'm a huge sucker for that "rat in a cage" type of characterization, and how her trauma continues to affect her even long after Juri got her out of Monzenbashi. There is SO much to dig into with her character from all sorts of angles; I'll be here all day if I don't cut this off now. :') BUT I must also say that she's super cute, so extra points for that!!

The vast majority of the supporting cast is just kinda... forgettable to me. I don't actively dislike most of them, but I literally never think about them, either. If I had to name names, though:

5. Sakurako: I guess?? idk why but she bugs me a little. I wish I could explain, but alas... Probably doesn't help that I'm not a fan of Touka or Nemu, and she's pretty intrinsically linked to them.

4. Natsuke Kako: Too generic moeblob for me. Also really not a fan of her artist or design, which I will elaborate on in a sec.

3. Kirino Sae: I don't like her design (her mask is neat, though), and something about her personality annoys me. I can't quite put my finger on what...

2. Irina Kushu: I'll be honest, it's mostly her character design. If she was drawn by someone else, she'd simply be forgettable, but... Have you ever looked at someone's art style and you just know they draw lolicon? Well, it's true in this case. Her design is way too cluttered for me anyway, but knowing that her artist draws hetero loli art makes it (and her "always sleepy" thing) feel very ://// bad vibes, scoob.

1. Miwa Mitsune: I know she's popular, but God her personality grates on me. I'll keep it short and say that she reminds me of the sort of insecure nerd you constantly have to walk on eggshells around or they'll launch into a self-deprecating spiral, "lol". She's very realistically written, which unfortunately means she's a very accurate depiction of the type of person I find the most exhausting and annoying to be around. :'V

Talk about your Demon Slayer OCs

I have three of them, but for now I'm only gonna talk about the main two.

Their names are Yasahiro Fukuhara and Naoko Maruyama. He looks like a cinnamon roll but could kill you. She is flat out "would kill you, could kill you".

Naoko has an older sister named Chizue. she is the third oc, but more on that later. After their parents are killed, the sisters are separated and taken under the wings of two different swordmasters. Naoko was adopted by a Demon Slayer and his wife, a former kunoichi. Both of them trained her, resulting in Naoko having a unique fighting style.

Yasahiro returns home from a hunting trip with his sister and father to find their entire village slaughtered. Wanting to keep this from happening to anyone else, he trains under a swordmaster to become a Demon Slayer. When he can't get his master's breathing technique down properly, Yasahiro ends up developing his own. He also trained alongside Zenitsu, and is somewhat protective of the boy later on.

They initially meet before Final Selection while they're both training, only to reunite at Final Selection itself. During that week, they ended up sticking together through the rest of it and survive by relying on each other.

After another encounter as official Demon Slayers, Naoko decides that she can't leave Yasahiro alone because he's a reckless idiot (affectionate) and would probably die fairly quickly if she wasn't there to keep him from doing stupid things. This develops into a habit that Naoko has of adopting any reckless child she comes across.

A few years pass, and Yasahiro overhears that his sister has gone missing along with a few other girls in the village she and their father live in. Without realizing that another Slayer had already been dispatched, Yasahiro and Naoko go to investigate themselves. This is how they meet Tanjiro and Nezuko, and get involved with the plot proper.

Demon Slayer OC

I will certainly say that I do more writing than I do art, and when I do art, it's usually landscapes and maps, nothing like this, but I am very proud of how it turned out!

I wanna thank @bloodbladesanddemons and all of the amazing artwork that they have of their stunning oc, Chizue (For the love of everything, I hope that I spelled her name right!), and Sekido for inspiring me to finally make artwork of my own Demon Slayer oc! You are absolutely amazing and your artwork is beyond incredible!

Anyways, here she is! This is Milo! To start, I went with her in a more modern AU. I am still developing some of her story and such but I hope to have more of her out at some point! The ask box is open for anyone who would like to ask questions!

Hold on a minute...

Gen: A young man working off a family debt through community service, and planning on ditching them the moment he's done with it. Despite that, he's greatly enjoying the work, and is thinking of becoming a professional bodyguard once he's free to go. He and Usagi have a burgeoning but tentative friendship, in part due to their differing worldviews.

Tomoe: A strong-willed girl with a troubled family history. She joined the Old Guard to prevent more stories like hera from happening. Her and Usagi have a lot in common, have bonded over that common, and he actually had a crush on her when he was younger.

Chizu: A former spy for a criminal group before the Old Guard busted them. Having ninja training, her way of dealing with things contrasts greatly with the rest, which cause endless amounts of friction with Usagi. Never the less, Usagi is usually the first one at her defense when accusations are flinged in her direction.

Ishida: The supervisor of Usagi, Gen, Tomoe and Chizu when they go out. When he's not making sure they're doing their job, he's investigating complex crimes and the corruption plaguing the higher parts of the Hidden City's society. (And thanking the Crying Titan that Draxum is such an asocial asshole)

Katsuichi: A gruff instructor of the Old Guard, and Usagi's sensei. He was formerly an active member, but decided to retire due to the massacre he witnessed that day. He's keeping his remaining eye on the spear he used to execute the hunter, not liking the dark aura it gained that day...

Kiyoko: A mischievous friend of Usagi who's not part of the Old Guard. She's undergoing training to become a spy, and is currently staying with the Old Guard to assist her master, Kitsune, in relaying information to them and Draxum in her mission to spy on the Foot.

Mifune: The head of the Old Guard. He's a merciful and reasonable man, who doesn't tolerate slip-ups and agression in his men. He also cares greatly for the younger recruits of the Old Guard, as seen when he gave Usagi the help he needed when the young rabbit confessed his demons.

Jotaro: Usagi's little brother, and the only other survivor of the attack on their family. Unlike Usagi, he was just a baby when it happened, and as thus doesn't remember it. He currently lives with a couple from Usagi's home sector, and his brother visits often. He and Leonardo are in agreement that he's the coolest person ever.

Leo: Usagi's boyfriend, but you all already know him.
